I love the dynamic with Jing Yuan and Yanqing so much.
Like, here’s this tired old soldier who’s weighed down by secrets and regrets. He’s fought in brutal wars. Everyone he loved left him — not for any reasons that were even about him, but because they cared about other people more than they cared about him or their home.
And Jing Yuan didn’t break. He didn’t chase his dreams like they did. He smiled and stood firm and kept order for the Laofu. He became a schemer and a manipulator instead of the swordmaster he was trained to be. He took the role of a benevolent military dictator and brought prosperity to his people.
So what kind of kid does the great general raise?
Basically a shounen manga protagonist. A kid who wears his heart on his sleeve and seeks out impossible battles. Not another chessmaster, or a good servant to the Laofu, but a boy who is following his passion like Jing Yaun’s old (treacherous) friends once did.
There is just so much to unpack there, I need that companion quest yesterday.

Homelander from the Boys shows up in the DC universe for all of five minutes and Bruce turns to Clark, ignoring the ongoing ranting from Homelander, and says “This is why I have contingencies.”
Clark, gritting his teeth: “Yeah, I see that now.”
Homelander in the corner: “—going to kill each and EVERY one of you fuckers, you degenerate—”
Bruce: “Are you going to go take care of that?”
Clark, head dropping into his hands: “Yeah. Give me a minute.”

Do you have your old Zukaang nsfw art somewhere? I found the previews on your deactivated blog, but the links to the full drawings don’t work
You know what? It's been a while, might as well share the whole thing. Here's a Dropbox links with all 30 sketches for the Zukaang 30 Days of NSFW from god know what year. I can't post the full pictures in here for obvious reasons, but you can have a few previews:

Just saw a tiktok where someone was like "if you ship x, you're wrong and I will block you" and the ship was Ekko and Jinx from Arcane/LoL. Their reasoning being that they're enemies now and that it's 'wrong' for them to date.
I'm literally mourning old fandom culture and etiquette. What happened to ship and let ship, bffr.

Imo Onestar should've been like, killed by Darktail and have Darktail survive. Imagine the drama from that. Windclan changing from it. What could've happened.
Even if Onestar didn't die, maybe leave him on one life as Darktail managed to escape and i this looming threat haunting him.
WELL if you're interested. At the very least, in BB, the Kin Remnants are still going to be around. That I decided early, but they simply haven't had a chance to come back around.
I'm planning on killing Darktail in a way similar to canon, BUT, this time it's actually a conclusion both to Onestar's and BREEZEPELT'S arcs. Breezepelt joins The Kin for most of AVoS until he realizes it was a huge mistake and helps to free several cats from a massive execution with a great escape.
After seeing Needletail die to save Violetpaw, Breezepelt comes up with the plan to drown Darktail... but he realizes that there's no way to do it without going down with him. He confides this plan in Onestar, expressing it's the only way he feels he can ever make up for everything he's done.
With all the people he's saved behind them, plus Harespring and Heathertail who love him very much, he expresses that he doesn't feel like he deserves to be alive. That at least if he does this, he can be remembered for what he died for.
Onestar, whose anger and paranoia caused all this, from his embarrassment about the affair that made Darktail, to his demand to embargo ShadowClan during the yellowcough outbreak, and his cowardice in calling a retreat, feels sick at what he's hearing. Breezepelt is planning to kill himself to fix HIS mistakes.
He connects the dots: there is a similarity between himself and Crowfeather. How they caused their kids hard lives of loneliness and ridicule. That's what "The Kin" meant; Darktail created the family he never had.
So... I do need to kill Darktail here. This is his send-off. He's a violent cult leader slipping into paranoia against anyone who stands up to him, just a little further gone than Onestar himself was when he launched an embargo on medicine during an epidemic.
But SLEEKWHISKER is actually staying around. The back half of AVoS is getting an axe and things are being MASSIVELY redone.
She is going to be the leader of the Kin Remnants. Whatever remains of the cult, she is going to be leading away from the Lake.
I'm still working them out, though. So far they only have one major role as a group that Tigerheart leads the newly reformed ShadowClan into a fight with. But if there's going to be a random antagonist group in the future, in BB, that's going to be the Kin Remnants.
So, there's still something out there haunting the Clans. Onestar and Darktail are gone at the end of AVOS in BB, but Sleeky is still around.

i'm annoyed at how much the left values empathy specifically. you can do good things without having empathy, empathy is not an inherently good quality, and lacking it isn't inherently bad. i hate seeing lefties dunk on someone for "having no empathy," which may or may not be true, but considering how many people preach empathy as an inherent trait of the left & "goodness" is irksome. just dunk on someone for the bad actions they have done, it's not hard.
i know it's a good look to be empathetic, but it really does feel like the end-all-be-all here.
i can still have good politics and want better for people & the world without necessary having empathy for these things. i can still be passionate about certain issues just from a factual standpoint, i can still listen to people affected by them, without necessarily feeling empathy for those most affected by them.
it's just like that one tumblr posts where a user pointed out "yes, even free healthcare to annoying ppl like those who went blind at the nft convention" ;;
i doubt many people are empathetic towards them, but we still acknowledge they should benefit. generally speaking we're trying to benefit even those opposed to us with stuff like free housing & healthcare. those are our politics & beliefs, and they don't suddenly "turn off" when you seee someone you don't like. or, they shouldn't. i can hate someone & still believe they deserve the same rights as me. i could not care if someone died, & yet still believe they should at least be able to keep themselves alive with a minimum wage job
frankly, to suddenly change your beliefs on some specific cases bcs you don't like them specifically is fickle, just like how the left is all restorative justice, until it comes to a specific person or crime that is too far, then it's "maybe we should give the state the right to execute people !"
so it does baffle me why so many people here value empathy like it's an inherent trait in the left, or that those opposed to the left are incapable of empathy & therefore evil & demonic.
empathy can ignite action in most people who have the ability to experience it. but that doesn't mean only those people are or do good, and the language the left uses is real isolating for that.
