Mostly spoiler free: I spoil two small baby things
The Knuckles show is an interesting little ditty.
I can see people have been back and forth about it online and the best thing I can tell you is: This is exclusively a show that you just kinda have to accept as is in order to enjoy it. It’s just kind’ve a shut your brain off thing. Maybe even on weed. Because that’s how I enjoyed it and I had a fantastic time.
Because if I had to describe it I would tell someone the plot was: “Knuckles goes to a bowling tournament and he watches his newfound friend spaghetti everywhere. And also Pat Benatar was there.”
Tumblr media
Knuckles is akin to a leaf in the wind when it comes to the story. The story is really about Wade. Knuckles is just kinda there. And there are so many weird things the story does like Knuckles being at a shabbat where the whole thing is the human family fighting. I don’t dislike it, it can be funny, it’s just also not about Knuckles. It can actually pull you out of the immersion of watching the show. And I’m not an “immersion” person.
But also. I really like how they write Knuckles interacting with normal people. That actually feels very authentically canon. The scenarios don’t feel that way, the personality of Knuckles himself isn’t all there, but how he treats people is very on brand. Does that make sense at all? Knuckles is a nice dude.
Also those forehead wrinkles on Sonic are ugly. And they look worse because Tails and Knuckles don’t have them.
Anyway. I’d only watch this if you’re more on the loose side. If you’re the type that gets ginched up when stuff is not exactly the way you like (Nothing wrong with that.) I’d avoid it. I like it but this would never tell people they’ve got to watch.

The Owl House Pilot Leak!!!
            Oh my titan.
The Owl House’s original pilot episode (basically a bunch of voiced-over storyboards) just got leaked and OMT. Watching it felt like experiencing the original magic of the show all over again… Reminding me what it was like to fall in love the first time!!! The hype and rush, the excitement to type down my thoughts after a new episode, analyzing and gushing over both big and small moments, the details!!! The pilot has reiterated all over to me again why I love these characters, from Luz's powerful earnestness, to Eda's chaotic demeanor! It’s like having the whole show open ahead of me, the possibilities endless when knowing this is just the beginning and we could go anywhere from here!
What’s interesting is that Luz’s conflict with Camila doesn’t really exist here; In fact Camila isn’t present or mentioned at all! What brings Luz to the isles is Amity, who’s been learning in the human world, under the guise of being a human by disguising her ears! It’s alluded to that Odalia and Alador made her do it, though we don’t know why…
But WOW that must’ve been so meta, doing S3 with Amity stuck in the human world with Luz, hiding her ears! It must’ve been a fun way to bring back the older concepts in new form! And indeed, we see a couple of stuff we’ve already gotten glimpses of, such as the storyboards of Luz offering her friendship art to Amity! I love that we get to see the actual scenario of how Amity accidentally defended Luz in the first place, since we heard that but didn’t get to see how it turned out.
It’s interesting that Lumity is basically the inciting incident of the story, though I can see why the final version opted instead to emphasize Luz’s conflict with her mother. Especially with how she chooses to stay in the isles in the final draft, which leads to guilt over lying to her mom, having her ‘coming out’ moment that eventually occurs in Yesterday’s Lie, etc. So more agency when it comes to Luz losing her access to the human world. Plus in the pilot, there isn't the same emphasis on Luz trying to live out her dreams of being a witch, and her obsession with stories that ties back to Manny and forms the basis for a lot of other themes and arcs.
That said, I also appreciate what this alternate take offers, and how Lumity helps tie everything together, it really is the queerness that is such a foundational part of the ‘weirdness’ theme that the show is about, and it’s intertwined with the pilot! God Luz being heartbroken when Amity dismisses the drawing… And then crying when Eda compliments it without realizing who it’s about! Or maybe she did, she could’ve recognized Luz there and figured out a way to stealthily make Luz feel better…!
I love Luz routinely lock-picking her locker because she presumably forgot the combination! And it’s interesting that we have a setup of there being multiple dimensions that the Boiling Isles has access to, and not just the human world and Demon Realm. That plays a role in the climax, more on that later. Given we have what is basically an airport for different dimensions, I wonder if we would’ve seen Luz find her way back home much earlier on, under much less intense circumstances, in a S1A episode?
The ‘Emperor’ is also alluded to in the pilot, which we didn’t get actual mention of until the fifth episode in the final show. He apparently dislikes humans and wants Luz brought over to him, is this still operating off of the ‘Pupa’ version of the character who claimed to speak on behalf of the true ruler, trapped in their metamorphosis by him? So maybe he wasn’t always human, or maybe this is Belos’ hypocritical way of ‘protecting’ humans by keeping them away and in blissful ignorance of the demon realm.
We also establish Hexside much earlier! IIRC Hexside was always part of the show, but executives pushed for it to have more emphasis, which the crew continued to follow through on in S2 onwards because that had already been set up. Lilith is the principal, and I recognize the storyboards of her, including her bat transformation! We get a Tinella Nosa cameo, we see Amity, and there’s also a brief cameo of Willow too! Nice way to set her up before her proper debut.
The ‘barrier’ containing King’s crown turns out to just be a regular human locker, which makes me wonder if the writers updated the final draft to make it a force field that only allows humans through, because of the whole Belos twist. Which makes me wonder if in this draft, Belos is Pupa, who never was human, or maybe they realized the opportunity to insert foreshadowing into a big twist regarding the main villain. Makes me wonder if the house we see Amity enter in the pilot, which is on sale, would've had any significance like in the final show. Love how Tinella Nosa is a student at Hexside, and also Dana having to occasionally insert lines for Wendie Malick and others was great.
Lilith is a lot more openly adversarial, which is different compared to how her actual debut provides a softer side to her; I imagine this would’ve been apparent in a later episode of the ‘Pilot AU’, and her transformation has me curious; Was she originally the one with the curse, but then the writers changed it to Eda? Or did they both have a curse? Eda also has an owl form she can summon and control at Will, maybe all Clawthornes have a beast mode that’s less of a curse and more of a talent. Lilith ends up trapped in another dimension, which makes me wonder if she’d have a temporary replacement –possibly Pilot Bump- or if she’d return offscreen. We see the portal key get destroyed under much more casual circumstances, though it’s less as big of a deal for this and the established ‘dimension port’ we saw before.
(Also, Amity recognizing Luz in the hallway… Everything to me!!!)
Warden Wrath doesn’t exist and neither does the Conformatorium, it’s Lilith and Hexside. With her as principal and Amity as student, I wonder if we would’ve gotten more of their relationship in the pilot AU, if Covention was a way of carrying over that former connection since Amity would be a teacher’s pet in either version of the story. And speaking of ties to Covention, it’s interesting is that Eda’s chest gem seems to be linked to the Emperor’s Coven, as ‘Pilot Kikimora’ uses it to control her. Curiously, we have a scene at the end mirroring what we got with Lilith in the final draft of the show!
I feel it implies that Eda DID join the Emperor’s Coven with Lilith, if only for a brief moment, but then defected; But the chest gem is basically the pilot version of the Emperor’s sigil, except with the explicit function of being a shock collar. I find it interesting that Eda still has the mirror to contact the EC with, instead of just getting rid of the thing. Is she a rogue agent who hasn’t totally cut ties, because she can’t? Won’t?
And the fact that Pilot Kikimora can just shock Eda at will makes me wonder if the Emperor is low-key just letting Eda roam around, which makes me wonder if he’s aware of the familial connection, is using Eda to find Luz, already knows about her doing that because of the time loop, etc. We’d of course have gotten an episode where Luz finds out about Eda’s connection and helps her deal with the gem… I realize now that Luz learning Eda also wanted to join the EC with Lilith is a carryover of this idea.
I can see the ups and downs between both versions; The final draft sets up Luz’s conflict with Camila and the reality camp, which is foundational to her character arc throughout the whole show. Her pain over being ‘sent away’ is just so vital that I appreciate its inclusion in the first episode. But I also like the inclusion of Lumity and the earnest desire to be friends with someone who showed her, unwittingly, any kindness at all! We get explicit bullying from Luz’s peers in the pilot, but in the final draft we also get her thoughtlessness that plays a big part in her S1 arc. And Luz’s arrival in the isles is more intertwined with Eda and King in the final version, which also feels right; The show is about these three in particular!
All in all, this was wonderful to watch! The magic was experienced all over again, not just in watching an episode, but also commentating on one that was just ‘released’ as well? I thought the last time I’d do anything like this was with the series finale Watching and Dreaming… But as Luz said, it really comes full circle with watching the first episode all over again! So maybe we have other stuff to still look forward to after all… At the very least, we have an eternal anticipation with an unexplored universe ahead of us, that will never reach completion; So it's like our ever-lasting final gift from TOH, and a good last one. So until next time: BBBBBYYYYYEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Thinking about Jim, do you think he also gets this good cop good father protection because of Barbara Gordon's admiration of him? Reading it from Barbara's perspective like all her stories have Jim Gordon as the best dad and her wanting to be a cop or as a child being the gcpd little cheerleader. Like trying to tie that with her role as Oracle but then even thinking of like The Hill where Jim shot and killed a teenager and his response to the mother was that the kid was armed like... it is hard to think that she would have that blind admiration of him. I also think she is more willing to work with morally questionable characters since she has a history of working with those types of characters. What do you think DC needs to do with Barbara Gordon to get actual interest in her again?
the solution for babs is simple — she needs to be oracle again.
no ifs whens or buts — babs being batgirl again is such a spectacular downgrade from her time as oracle it’s almost unreal. babs as a character, her growth after being shot, her rediscovery and pursuit of her own autonomy, her vindictiveness, her need for control, her relationships with the birds and wendy and cass and steph, make her an infinitely richer and more interesting character than when she wears the cowl. that’s even ignoring the ableist rhetoric behind her “reclaiming” her power by getting an implant and leaving her chair, which like, vom, because it’s a whole other can of worms.
unlike batwoman where there’s a completely different identity and mantle that’s seperate from bruce, batgirl is unequivocally the subordinate to batman. the girl denotes her lack of authority. cass and helena come the closest to shaking this off, but it’s still a very deliberate character dynamic that dc upholds. batgirl 2009 also successfully orients the mantle around babs and steph, but a large part of that is that bruce isn’t present in the story.
babs was at least two years older than dick in the original canon. she was a librarian who had a life outside of the community. she was a support for other disabled women. she’d tell bruce to shut the fuck up to his face. she was singularly the most important resource to the league and all other hero teams. she was a complicated person with a lot of trauma, not the cool girlfriend archetype. i also dislike that she’s dating dick while he’s nightwing and she’s still batgirl. imagine if they made dick robin again and had him date babs as oracle. it’d be so weird!
wrt jim gordon— a lot of babs’s unequivocal support of him comes from dc’s general inability to admit that he’s a deeply flawed human being in a position of power. the narrative rarely actually criticises him over his decisions. however, i also think people forget that like…. a lot of babs’s politics is tied up with the police. she’s essentially a one woman surveillance state, and she historically struggles with boundaries around the people she loves. she does work with people that the other bats wouldn’t — isley, waller, etc, but i don’t think that necessarily separates her from the police because often the police or armed forces do the same thing. her modus operandi is also very similar to bruce in a lot of ways too.
in saying that tho, i do appreciate that she’s willing to just say fuck it, full throttle and getting a god damned law degree to bust bruce out of a murder charge. she’s an icon. let her be cunty again!!

also since i've decided to be on a pearl and bigb kick with the whole one piece au, bigb's devil fruit. as i mentioned, frog frog fruit, he is a frog man. which makes it PARTICULARLY ironic he can't swim; he ate a devil fruit that turned him into a creature with webbed feet and hands, but the ocean goddess still fucking hates him, like she hates every single devil fruit user, and even sort of touching seawater fucks him up. like, talk about the ultimate irony...
anyway, for the non-one piece fans: zoan-type devil fruit users (the ones that let you transform into an animal) normally have three(-ish) forms: their "base/normal" form, one where they have a lot of their animal traits, and one that is like, full animal. approximately. chopper exists. chopper is an anomaly, we are going to ignore chopper.
anyway i think even in human form bigb has had his devil fruit a long time. he moves a little strangely. his limbs are SLIGHTLY too long, his joints a little too pronounced, his smile a little too wide--although to be fair, he exaggerates this on purpose around people he wants to unnerve. (this seems like a bigb thing to do. i think he largely does this to brass he dislikes, lol.)
he tends to use his beast form more often than his beast-man form. that's because, even unable to swim, being a frog is useful, because frogs are overlooked! plus, he can somewhat communicate with any local frogs (or frog-adjacent creatures, island wildlife can be WEIRD) to get information on criminals he's pursuing. oftentimes he just... catches his enemies off-guard this way, too. no need to challenge them to a straight fight if he can sneak into the room they're staying in and just whack them over the head, after all.
(pearl is. mildly annoyed at how effective that is, actually.)
if he DOES have to fight, though, his man-beast form is a little bit slapstick, in that i imagine he has these huge webbed hands and feet, kind of absurdly long legs and arms that give him ABSURD jumping ability, and a tongue that is practically a deadly whip itself. also, i think he deserves to be able to stick to things using his hands, feet, and tongue, entrapping his enemies as part of his fighting style as well. he's half comedic looking and half a little horrifying and that's what we love about bigb. (also would it be one piece if the designs weren't as comical as they were cool. can you tell kaku's giraffe fruit has been my favorite zoan fruit so far.) also, in a fight, despite his slapstick appearance, bigb REMAINS a little bit more of a thinker than a fighter, and is unafraid to resort to "dirty" tactics.
actually, that's the other irony of his devil fruit: he's a silver-tongued smooth talker who, thanks to the length his tongue grows to in beast-man form, can't use that foremost skill of his to its full strength while he's using his devil fruit.
its almost like someone's laughing at him out there in the cosmos for this one, honestly.
well, whatever. he's pretty good at making the most of it anyway (and i think a hallmark of bigb's devil fruit use is that he's dangerous because he's CREATIVE, not because his fruit is inherently one of the more powerful ones in the story, a thing we know from one piece is the actually important part of getting the most out of your powers).

Request:
Could you bullet-style head cannons about Mc having a snake as a pet? Or just any scary/unusual animal if you don’t want to zero in on just snakes.
Have a nice day/afternoon/night!
Hi there, anon!
Okay assuming we're in the OG timeline lol and MC has their snake in the House of Lamentation, here are the brothers' reactions!
Thanks for the request!
Tumblr media
the brothers react to GN!MC's pet snake
Warnings: Um, well, there's the snake? But otherwise none lol.
Tumblr media
Lucifer
Not another one. He's been through this with the first Henry. Lucifer doesn't dislike snakes or anything, but he wants to be sure this one won't get enormous in size. If you're able to reassure him that this is just a normal snake that won't grow into a giant, then he's going to be fine with it.
Might think it's a little weird. Aren't snakes dangerous for humans? You might have to explain why you can keep this particular snake as a pet and that he doesn't need to worry about your safety.
He's going to be very strict about snake habitat maintenance. Consider this one of your regular chores, MC. Don't think he's going to let you keep a snake in the House of Lamentation without making sure you keep the tank clean.
Has no fear of snakes, though, so if it escapes its tank or something you can count on him. There's no way he's going to let it slither around the house for very long. Finds it almost immediately and returns it to you. Scolds you to be more careful and make sure the snake is always secure.
Mammon
He's not afraid of snakes! No, really! He's not! He probably isn't too scared of them, but they do make him a little nervous. Especially if he thinks that you're in any danger. Asks you a lot of questions about whether your snake has venom and if it's really okay for you to be holding it.
If you clearly care about the snake, Mammon will kinda end up caring about it, too. He gets comfortable with the snake, holding it and feeding it. Acts like it's no big deal. Of course he doesn't love MC's snake! He's just ready to help take care of it, that's all!
He might also have to be reassured that the snake will not get huge, but as long as it stays a normal snake size, he's gonna be cool with it. He actually thinks you look really cool with it. He knows that snakes are normally considered dangerous and scary, but the way you let it slither around your neck is pretty badass.
You can be sure he's going to buy your snake things, though. Do they make collars for snakes? Probably not, but he would get one made if you wanted it! He's also gonna buy you snake themed things. Expect a lot of snake shaped jewelry. He probably really likes those snake shaped rings that take up half your finger.
Leviathan
MC! You have a pet snake?! Oh boy, you've made his whole life complete. As if Levi didn't already love you enough, this is just going to send him over the moon. He's so obsessed with your snake, he wants to know all about it. Tell him how you got it, what its name is, what kind of snake it is, what does it eat, etc.
He wants to hang out with you and your snake all the time. Absolutely happy to help you take care of it, whether that's cleaning the tank or feeding it. Probably knows a lot about the best way to care for snakes. Might even have some of Henry 1.0's old things if you need or want them.
Really ends up bonding with your snake. You might start feeling like the snake likes Levi more than it likes you. But Levi will tell you this is not the case. He and the snake both love you very much. Might get the courage to tell you that to your face just to reassure you.
Gets a little nostalgic for the days when he had his own pet snake. Might reminisce about it to you. Just don't let him take the snake with him to the labyrinth under the castle to visit Henry 1.0. That will likely end in a disaster you will need to rescue them from.
Satan
He might have been worried about your safety except that he likely knows all about the type of snake you have as a pet. He does think it's a little weird. Wouldn't you rather have a soft sweet cat as a pet? Though there is a ban on cats in the House of Lamentation, so maybe it's better you have a snake.
Obviously he gives you books that are about the type of snake you have as a pet. Don't worry, he already read them all. He’ll be happy to discuss everything in them with you once you’ve read them.
Trusts that you’re going to maintain your snake’s diet and habitat, but has ideas for how to make them better. Likely has done some research into best snake keeping practices. Just wants to help you with something that you clearly care about.
Tries to befriend the snake. Likely does a decent job, but has to learn that it doesn’t act like a cat would. But Satan is good at figuring things out and he always listens to you when you tell him what to do. The snake becomes attached and now he’s thrilled. Look, MC! Your snake came over and wrapped itself around him!
Asmodeus
He has the best idea ever: snake themed fashion show. Don’t worry, MC! He’s not going to make you wear snakeskin boots or anything like that! He’s thinking about snake motifs and using the snake itself as an accessory. He’s going to dress you up, drape the snake across your shoulders, and take a ton of pictures.
If your snake is cool with it and it’s okay with you, Asmo will design little snake outfits for it. Mostly consists of adorable little hats. You guys take pictures and post them on Devilgram. Your snake becomes a famous internet pet celebrity.
Not at all afraid of your snake. As long as it stays a normal size and he doesn’t have to charm it into submission, he thinks it’s cute. Look at that adorable little tongue! Those shiny scales!
Gives you gifts for your snake - he has ideas for making your snake’s tank look amazing. Also tends to buy you cute snake themed things when he find them. If he find something that has both a snake and a scorpion, he will get it for you immediately.
Beelzebub
Make sure he understands that this is a snake and not a slithering sausage. Show him how to identify the difference and he will make sure he doesn’t accidentally eat your pet. He might think about how best to cook it still, but will keep it to himself so as not to upset you.
Actually quite good with the snake. He’s not afraid of it at all but it does remind him of various foods. So whenever he spends too much time with it, he has to go find something to eat like noodles.
Enjoys watching the snake eat - look at how big its mouth gets, MC! He kinda wishes he could unhinge his jaw like that. Think about how much more he could eat if he had that ability. Might even try to find a way to make it possible. There has to be some kind of spell for that, right?
Gets a little protective of your snake. You love it so he also loves it. Doesn’t want anyone to step on it by accident. Content to let the snake hang out on his shoulder. That way nobody will step on it and he’s less likely to eat it, too.
Belphegor
Makes fun of you for having a weird pet. What kinda human wants a pet snake? Makes fun of you for having a pet so Levi-themed. Are you gonna get a pet sea serpent next, MC? It's all lighthearted, of course, but he can't pass up the opportunity.
Doesn’t care that it could be dangerous. Thinks you must be okay with it so why should he be concerned? You clearly love your snake and that’s pretty cute so he’s cool with it.
Turns out the snake is a good nap partner. It just coils up on his back or stomach and then if anybody tells him he needs to get up, he can say he can’t disturb the snake. It’s the perfect excuse. Leave him alone, can't you see the snake is asleep? It gets cranky if you wake it up. (Just like him.)
If your snake has a heat lamp, he’s going to sleep next to it all the time. It’s so warm and cozy. Belphie just wants to snuggle up next to your snake’s warm tank and snooze the day away. You'll probably find him in your room snoring away next to it on a regular basis.

Hellsing oc lmao ((more abt her under cut))
Tumblr media
Part 1 ⚬ ⚬ ⚬ Part 1½ ᶻ 𝘇 𐰁
((side note; Before I start, I dunno anything about skinbenders if it’s an actual thing, I just got the name from a comic book character and then just freestyling the rest, and my writing is horrible.))
//ability//
Calico can shapeshift into much more than just animals or human. she can shapeshift her whole, or part of her body into whatever she wants, objects, weapons, animal-like, anything she wants. for an average skinbender, it’s easy to spot them through their disguises, they always look deranged, or something’s just off and inhuman about them. but not Calico, She’s always flawless with her shapeshifting ability and that fact does give her a bit of an ego. Calico has to wear one’s skin in order to shift into what she wants, so does that also mean she consumes scraps in order to shapeshift into an object? Maybe…
\\Likes \ hobbies\\
⟡ Using her shifting ability, Calico loves to terrify the soldiers around Hellsing with her body horror, and Seras is definitely her favorite to scare, she would stand in dark corners and just stare. But unfortunately ((or fortunately ?)) the only people that wouldn’t fall for her antics is Alucard and Integra, makes sense because Integra had to deal with Alucard within the second half of her childhood so she should be used to it at this point. and I’m sure Alucard vampire senses would know Calico is there before she even get to do anything.
⟡ shifting into a cat and pretty much doing whatever the fuck she wants.
⟡ joining Hellsing was just like a retirement for Calico, doing random activities around the mansion while also becoming a vampire Hunter to satisfy her animalistic nature to kill. crocheting, bone collecting, gardening, just to name a few of her random activities, but her favorite out of all is baking, and sharing her baked goods to hellsing while they’re completely oblivious rather or not if she ever put anything in the food they’re eating, and she haven’t... yet.
⟡ Women. ((Not in that way))
((ok maybe a little in that way..))
//Dislikes//
⟡ Bald people.
((k here some concept))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
\\The character\\
⟡ relaxed, serene, insensitive, sadomasochistic, two-faced, extremely kind when she feels like it, can be manipulative at times, and a challenge to provoke.
⟡ Calico speaks with a lot of hand gestures, and even touch the person she’s talking to, she does not acknowledge personal space, or possibly doesn’t even care. Her voice is usually soft, calm and almost robotic in someway, with a Chinese Mandarin accent, but her voice does change when she’s in her original form, it’s like a raspy, loud whisper. Calico has no filter, she would announce how ugly a baby is, in public, in front of the parents.. or casually ask a person why are they ugly, or bald. in other words she will say shit that probably shouldn’t be said out loud, or say what everybody in the room is thinking out loud in an awkward situation as another example and all with a small smile remaining on her face.
⟡ and there’s other times she’ll just stand there like a statue if anyone isn’t Interacting with her or just doesn’t have anything else to do.
//more random stuff abt this character//
⟡ Skinbenders aren’t exactly born with a pacific sex or gender, all their genitals pretty much the same and can be used the same way as both human male and female genitals, in other words, you could breed or be bred by them. ((WTF DID I JUST TYPE IN BRO 😭)) what I’m trying to get at is Calico is technically a trans woman if you think about it.
⟡ Calico forgets to blink sometimes, just putting that there.
⟡ ((I have this weird obsession with what a character bedroom would look like, so best believe I’m gonna explain what her bedroom looks like,)) most of her room is completely normal, a dresser she never felt the need to use, a vanity and shelves occupied with her small animal skull collection but what sticks out the most is instead of having a bed she has a nest in the size of an average king size bed made from majority of blankets and pillows she have stolen around the mansion all occupying in the corner of her room, she could be very protective of her nest, only allowing the people she trust the most to even be near, aka Seras, Calico has tried inviting her master Integra into her nest, but was always rejected.. so that’s why Calico has taken upon herself to settle for claiming her master's bed instead.
⟡ Most of her clothing is made of her flesh.
⟡ Calico is not completely emotionless she can make other facial expressions, a small smile is just her default / resting face.
⟡ If Calico actually labeled her identity, she would be an aromantic, pansexual, trans woman. but she doesn’t feel the need to label it, so you would never catch her calling herself these things.
⟡ Calico doesn’t really see people as, well.. people. So this is how she view the main four !!
Integra ((But Calico personally calls her ‘my master’))- Calico actually respects her authority and probably the only persons boundaries she would take into consideration. Also silly British hehehehe.
Alucard - Calico sees him as some vampiric Manwhore. But they’re civil with each other, they like to have conversations and even sometimes play chess together.
Seras ((but Calico insist on calling her by her last name, Victoria.)) - ah she absolutely adore her, Calico would have her attend with her hobbies if available. Calico treats Seras as like she’s a new puppy for her. So in case you haven’t noticed she’s obviously the favorite.
Walter - twink.
((that’s all for now!! this may have some edits since I’m never satisfied with any writing I do, and I will be making a part two lololololo.))
((Did I choose this silly cat video in particular because it’s a Calico? Yes, yes I did exactly that.))

do you think emmutt and zingo would get along ?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have actually thought a lot about Zingo/Zemmet [Emmutt]’s relationship <3
-Firstly, I imagine that H Zoroarks don’t really have the whole shapeshifting thing downpat yet, since they use it to torment prey (aka. usually they look slightly inhuman in an unsettling way) Meanwhile, Unovan Zoroark shapeshift in order to blend into human settlements and get food, so they’re generally pretty good at pretending to be humans. (they’re also just. less violent)
-As a result Zingo activates ‘help your fellow zoroark’ mode upon meeting Zemmet and starts trying to help him properly pass as human, while Zemmet has absolutely no interest in this (still hates humans.)
-Zemmet thinks Zingo’s a weird little weakling, since she apparently likes humans and seems to want to be one?
-it dislikes zingo I would say; however, much to zemmets fury, zingos strong to his typing and can kick his ass easily<3 so.. begrudging respect I guess
-since zemmet ends up working at the station as well, she has to reign him in a lot and drag zemmet away b4 he can maul a passenger for being annoying.
-mutual confusion? Zemmets never met a weird dark type zoroark with black fur b4 and zingos only heard tell of the prehistoric zoroarks with white fur..??
-zemmet is her ancestor

i got a lot of thoughts about loveless by alice oseman and if this post seems very one sided well thats just how it read to me. my opinion isnt the end-all and i value how everyone interpreted and was affected by this book. this isnt a closed topic lets talk about it
gripes with loveless by alice oseman
took a while to actually explain that ace and aro are two separate identities and still not that well. it makes aro seem like a subset of ace which is entirely false. its cool there was an aroallo character involved but still
the book title 'loveless' is a real term and identity and the entirety of the book kinda shits on it by enforcing the ideal that its still okay to be aspec cause platonic love can be experienced and any type of love is required or at least better than "not feeling anything and being alone forever"
it was weird for her friends to forgive her over gestures that had nothing to do with apologizing before georgia actually apologized and explained but that may just be more of a personal thing that i didnt like. likewise the story being about platonic love it kinda sucks her deepest connection is with her roommate and not the people shes known for years and wronged
kinda sex negative. i mean rooney says she doesnt dislike casual sex but then that whole thing becomes the reason she hates herself and a reason to cope with being "unloveable" and its kinda lame. you can tell that story without making it seem like casual sex is just a means of devaluing yourself. and you can be sex repulsed and still not do that. it just feels unfair to aroallo people especially who are told they are monsters for enjoying and only wanting casual sex when this book is supposed to be about aromanticism too
(can we also be done with harry potter references??? lets stop hurting trans and jewish people thanks)
basically particular identities' stories shouldnt come at the expense of others and other ways of life. its great and important to write different experiences because no one is gonna relate to them all but no one has to replace romantic love with ANY type of love to feel good about themselves and be human. loveless and aplatonic people shouldnt have to read something that uses rhetoric against their identities within a book about aspec people
things i like about loveless
i didnt relate to it personally but the experiences felt very genuine. internalized aphobia, being hounded by aphobic comments, finding it hard to portray love even in a fictional or artistic sense, etc.
I appreciate the references to race and intersectionality that come with being queer even if they were minimal. so few times is it actually acknowledged that there is privilege when it comes to being understood, coming out, being accepted, etc. the references to that were nice to see because too often intersectionality being brought up is brushed off and blatantly ignored or people pretend like they understand
it was written by someone who is aroace even if there are some things that can be less isolating within the aspec community with the language being used. someone being open about their identities and how they choose to define them in the mainstream world is how we get more peoples voices in there
it has helped people discover their own identity though id still recommend further research on the actual identities being named and ones not named. these stories are the first introduction of aspec identities in mainstream and that hopefully means itll start to expand to other identities within that community that have not yet had representation
this should be the start of developing more rep. the first takes are not gonna represent everyone and its a good thing it exists to tell a few peoples story. but that doesnt mean it should be free from any criticism because thats how we make them continuously better. i hope to see an aroallo character soon. i want the term loveless to be properly used in media and expressed for what it is. i want to stop pretending like ace is the umbrella term for all aspec identities. i want amatonormativity explained as the sociological term it is that harms all life not just aromantic and polyamorous people. i want a polyam aspec character and polyam characters in general. i want disabled and ethnic aspec characters where the intersectionality is just as important to the narrative. i want a whole lot more and to stop prentending like any of that should be unreasonable

deep dive character sheet
stolen from: reeathan tagging: breathes down ur neck
NAME: ROSADO
BODY
height: 5'7" / 170cm
strength ★★★☆☆ (damagingly below average str and bld bases for his class but high str growth makes for a whack situation narratively)
dexterity ★★★★☆ (can't be butterfingers designing ur own fit)
health ★★★★★ (canonically kind of ridiculous. shining hair, shining skin, never gains weight, eats and sleeps however he wants. life just isn't fair huh)
energy ★★★★☆ (lively naturally while also being prone to an indulgent kind of laziness. the vibe of energetically deciding to spend the day napping)
beauty ★★★★★ (tfw the resident dancer stalks you for your beauty regimen)
style ★★★★★ (whether it's to everyone's tastes or not is different, but he certainly makes statements wherever he goes)
hygiene ★★★☆☆ (a weird situation because he canonically does very little actual styling / upkeep. he actually just wakes up like that)
SKILLS
perception ★★★★☆ (surprisingly)
communication ★★★☆☆ (a bit broad to ascribe a ranking. he's fantastic at natural charisma and conversation. a whiff of conflict though and he'd sooner ghost)
persuasion ★★★★★ (incredibly charming naturally. has a way of kind of being charming about it even when he's being dogmatic or manipulative that still makes it hard to say no)
mediation ★★☆☆☆ (would much rather try to console separate parties after the fact. doesn't want to be in the middle of a disagreement)
literacy ★★☆☆☆ (rosado: when's the paper due. someone: it's on the syllabus. rosado: yeah but i don't want to read, i want you to tell me)
creativity ★★★☆☆ (again kinda depends in what sense but eh)
cooking ★★★☆☆ (it's not something he does, but he'd be decent if he put in the effort to learn. perfectly passable.)
tech savvy ★★★★★ (you can't tell me he wouldn't be a tiktok celebrity in modern au)
combat ★★★☆☆ (it's fine. he's canonically a pretty good fighter per ike bond conversation, but given his dislike of it i can't see him ever be better than ' good enough to do his job ')
survival ★★★☆☆ (honestly he knows when he's in over his head and needs to get tf outta dodge and that's like 60% of surviving)
stealth ★★☆☆☆ (i mean have u seen him)
street smarts ★★★☆☆ (another weird one because his haggling and ' knowing which hole in the wall shop has the best merch and the best deals ' is second to none but that's probably that only type of street smarts where he knows anything)
seduction ★★★★☆ (all i'm saying is he's descended from a race of faefolk who are known for ensnaring hapless highborn humans throughout history for a reason)
luck ★★★☆☆
handling animals ★★★☆☆ (he likes them more than he's good at handling them, generally speaking)
pacifying children ★★★☆☆ (eh. no better or worse than the next guy)
MIND
intelligence ★★★☆☆ (what... kind... hahaha. vastly different answers depending)
happiness ★★★★★ (optimism is his middle name)
spirituality ★☆☆☆☆ (... i mean... he sure thinks the divine dragon is neat!)
confidence ★★★★★ (a bit delusionally at times)
humor ★★★☆☆
anxiety ☆☆☆☆☆ (this guy wouldn't know social anxiety if it hit him in the face. doesn't generally tend to get hung up about stuff on the whole)
patience ★★☆☆☆ (physically speaking, average. will fall for a ' oooh what is it what is it? ' ' i'm not tellinggg ' bait every time tho)
passion ★★★★★ (it's his other middle name)
nice         ★☆☆☆☆ mean (most of the time genuine! most of the time)
brave       ☆☆★☆☆ cowardly (he wouldn't consider himself braver than his job demands, but also both his hortensia a and fell ending have him risking / giving his life for hortensia. and the whole stealth emblem ring steal was ballsy af)
pacifist     ★☆☆☆☆ violent
thoughtful ☆☆★☆☆ impulsive (again, depends about what)
agreeable ☆☆★☆☆ contrary (very agreeable and accommodating of others, until he's Not skjglskdl)
idealistic   ☆★☆☆☆ pragmatic (he's not reckless but that's about the only thing keeping him from a full 5)
frugal        ☆☆☆★☆ big spender (it's just a very good thing he wasn't born into high society)
extrovert   ☆★☆☆☆ introvert (prefers to be around others if there's an opportunity, but doesn't get restless being on his own)
collected   ☆☆☆★☆ wild (again, context. but generally being effusive and energetic tips it)
ambitious / possessive / stubborn / jealous / decisive / perfectionist
SOCIAL
charisma ★★★★★
empathy ★★★☆☆ (in a strange position of being compassionate and genuinely wanting to be / good at being there for others while also being more self-centered on the whole than not)
generosity ★★★☆☆ (sort of in the same vein as empathy)
wealth ★★★★☆ (i mean he's a royal retainer so. plenty of disposable income generally)
honest  ☆★☆☆☆ deceptive (ahahahaha..... a can of worms for rosado. honestly deceptive? unintentionally deceptive? master of ' the truth but not All Of It '? at the very least he doesn't usually intend to deceive)
leader   ☆☆☆★☆ follower (i think in the right scenarios he wouldn't make a bad leader because he does have a way of influencing and inspiring others. but he's too much of a free spirit / swayed by whatever or whoever he likes)
polite    ☆★☆☆☆  rude (kind of Much / presumptuous sometimes? but in a way where you can tell it doesn't come from a bad place)
political ☆☆☆☆★ indifferent (he could not be less bothered)
BELIEFS
higher power ★★☆☆☆ (the reason it's not a 0 or 1 is because he factually knows they exist thanks to the lake of mystery / dragons, etc. that's as far as it goes tho)
fate/destiny ★★☆☆☆ (it's fun to joke around about, but the real thing? never thought much about it)
magic ★★★★★ (it's fire emblem)
soulmates ★★☆☆☆ (same as fate/destiny)
good and evil ★★☆☆☆ (also similar to fate/destiny. thinks it can be a useful binary, but deep down recognizes that it's mostly just that: useful in certain situations)
luck ★★★★☆ (weirdly, given his ambivalence about the other above metaphysical things)
PRIORITIES
family ★★☆☆☆ (mostly shrug emoji because family is handled deliberately in a kind of alienating way in the village of the fair folk. stay tuned)
friends ★★★★★ (arguably one of the the most important things to rosado outside of staying true to himself)
love ★★★☆☆ (values connections to others but also naturally independent and unanchored)
home ★★☆☆☆ (like. it's nice! but it's cool, he can also bounce)
health ★★★☆☆ (not literally health so much as whatever he needs to do or maintain in order to stay cute and appealing)
praise ★★★★★ (oh my god)
justice ★★☆☆☆ (sure, that always sounds like something good)
truth ★★★☆☆ (complicated because he doesn't care/consider/pursue it actively as an ideal, but his approach to visual art seems to drain down at its heart to a desire to capture truth)
power ☆☆☆☆☆
fame ★★☆☆☆ (not an active pursuit, but wouldn't mind it if he stumbled into it along the way)
wealth ★☆☆☆☆ (same as fame, but less)
others' opinions ★☆☆☆☆ (has learned to ignore what most people think, except for those he really respects. currently only hortensia and to a lesser extent goldmary)

In your opinion, what are things you dislike in jjk?
Hm, aside from the body type portrayal I talked about the other day, there isn't really anything I dislike about the series as a whole. I would like a few more breathers between the fights to have more time to establish atmosphere and have characters talk without the pressure of a fight, but it's not a big problem. It's a battle shonen after all and I think there's still enough development in the fights and the calmer scenes in between to make up for it.
Recently there's been some character writing that annoys me a bit, but it doesn't make me dislike the series as a whole. I just don't like how Yuki's death/sacrifice was executed. Even if she survived that somehow, there should have been more of a focus on her and her goals in the final moments. I actually really like the fight up to that point and even the aftermath of it.
The other thing is Choso. I just think Akutami isn't doing as much with him as they could. For one, until the recent flashback about his guilt, he was very repetitive. We know he loves his brothers, hates Kenjaku and wants to be a good older brother. No need to repeat it every time he shows up. Megumi isn't talking about wanting to save Tsumiki in every other scene. This makes it seem like Choso doesn't have anything else to say and makes him very one-note. It's okay if someone like Naoya only has two dialogue options but I think Akutami wants Choso to be a bit deeper than that. Quantitively, Choso gets a lot of story focus, but we don't learn as much about him as we could. While his relationship to Yuuji, Eso & Kechizu constantly gets repeated, the other siblings and his mother are still unexplored, even when it makes sense for him to think about them too. Like, if he wants to live as a human with his brother(s), that would pose a big problem for the ones that don't have a vessel yet. They will look even less humanoid than Kechizu. Is he just going to leave them sealed away forever? In his plans for the future he never really mentions them. Same with his mother. His thoughts in Shibuya indicate that he presumably wants to kill Kenjaku for her too, but when he's about to headshot Kenjaku or wants to sacrifice his life, he never thinks of her, just Yuuji, Eso & Kechizu. He also never brings her up to Kenjaku, even though they did worse things to her than the Death Paintings. It just feels like the range of people he cares about suddenly shrank from 9 to 3 (1 if we only count the one still alive) for no reason that we know of. Could be that we will find out more about them in the future, but it's just weird for him to not even touch on these topics up to that point.

Transformation/spook AU (whatever you end up calling this) anon:
(this IS getting longer each time lol. thank god there's no ask character limit anymore?) yes to basically all of that, though.
honestly the group being regarded as a threat is par for course. (like, Danny was basically a public menace for a while even when he was trying to help, and even after he got more approval people were still wary of him.)
I like that all of them get their kinda community-specific side friends though. It really is nice to see them getting and making more friends outside of their usual circle. Tucker being a werewolf means his instinct is that he needs a pack, and yes Danny and co are his pack, but naturally I think he would also gravitate toward other werewolves, and they'd be his pack too, so de definitely has two or three close packmates that help him along in his adventures in integrating into werewolf society and also punching out bad guys (honestly? let's do more crossover stuff. Teen Wolf canon characters like Isaac or something!) and just kinda sympatyhize with him. I like the idea that at least one is his cousin, and a thought just popped up that one of them would also be Wulf's descendant (I'm imagining a latino/spanish kid, because of Wulf's Esperanto), and maybe the last one would just be some random (in the case that there's an xover, like I mentioned earlier, probably Isaac or a different one-off TW character).
Sam getting the animal companion though and basically talking to animals like a disney princess... she loves the ability, hates that she's like a disney princess now lol. And a "typical mermaid princess friend" actually makes me think it's basically mermaid Paulina, and Sam is both reluctantly her friend but also eventually grateful for it because it helped her grow past her prejudices against the other A-Lister girls when she learns how to see past mermaid friend's girliness too. I imagine this friendship happened because this mermaid cottoned on to the fact that Sam would become royalty soon (early on when she was just accepted into the clan and not really part of it or a leader in it yet) and decided she was both a good leader to follow (thus becoming a loyal friend too even if she was a princessy type Sam typically didn't hang out with) so she kinda just decided to help Sam learn the ropes and pull off whatever lake-saving shenanigans Sam gets up to every week and eventually they just become close. (H2O has a theme of sisterhood so I can imagine this happens very sweetly. There's also a theme of trios so there's probably another mermaid in on these shenanigans too.) That said, there's definitely probably an "episode" where the mermaids learn the spell to become temporarily human and do so and come to school for a while and are totally awed and naive about human culture and Sam has to spend the entire time trying to corral them into order and keep suspicion off them--and stop them from getting wet or saying weird stuff that would reveal themselves or her to the whole school.
I agree with the Spike headcanon, and I saw a few fics were she was friends with one of the other Weston brothers (which one would depend on the fic), but yeah aside from having very few human friends, Jazz probably also has the smallest other-friend-group because of her feared-and-disliked status. I can maybe see her showing compassion to a brownie or something and them becoming another sidekick-type friend, but yeah I don't think the other fae get close enough to her to befriend her. I do like the idea of her genuinely befriending Johnny and Kitty and maybe Ember though. (Meanwhile, Danny's other-friend-group definitely includes Dora and Sidney bc I hc that Sidney and Danny would become better friends after working out their differences, and occasionally Johnny because they seemed friendly in a couple of episodes. I can see him befriending Ember too. Just give Danny all the teen ghosts as friends ok.)
But yes I totally agree to Val being a forerunner superhero like Bats and Supes and eventually getting recruited by a superhero team. But like the others' communities not really interacting with each other except the occasional crossover, I don't really see Danny and co crossing over to Val's "community" either mostly because they ARE all busy with their own responsibilities. Aside from the "Batman doesn't want to recruit Danny because of his bad press" thing (which, legit, but I think at this point it's been years and Danny has proven to be more good than not, and besides Danny isn't the only hero with bad press so I don't think it'd matter much to Batman), Danny is on his way to becoming king, or learning to be one, or has already become king and is now having to deal with all the responsibilities that come with that, including taking time to study law and meet people and in general split his time between the GZ and AP. Sam is trying to save Lake Eerie from pollution and overfishing/hunting and the occasional ghost sea monster haunting them and other stuff, and helping rebuild the mermaid clan (which btw I think is less of a royalty thing and more of a chieftain thing? I feel like since it's such a small clan it's not really a kingdom so much as it is a tribe, so Chief might fit better than Queen for Sam's upcoming leadership role in this case) and in general mermaids like to keep secret, so I don't think Sam would opt to join Valerie in joining a superhero group to help them stay secret even if she could pass off her powers as a meta or mutant thing (though yes, maybe there CAN be the occasional crossover where she can meet Aquaman, should the situation require Val to call in some aquatic help). Tucker's responsibilities seem very local, and though I'm sure he'd be stoked and excited to join a superhero team, similar to Sam I can see his pack being like "no please don't, you joining will have consequences for ALL of us" so he has to consider that (especially since it's his family, not just other random werewolves, asking). I don't think Jazz would be interested in general (except for maybe becoming a superhero therapist), though Ellie might be (though she seems more interested in just travels than having responsibilities--also I love the idea that "no one is sure she exists" is the reason she's not really known to any community except the Spooks lol). So I like the idea of, if Valerie does take on the "protect humans from human crimes" role, it's something that's just for her for the most part and not quite the "package deal" that you might be thinking. She gets to have all the cool "stop alien invasions and international crime syndicates" adventures, and when she needs the occasional help from her friends, she can ask for it (similar to everyone else in the group asking for help when they need it too). It's kinda like Batman having sidekicks but they're not really seen as part of the Justice League, they're Batman's people who help him. The Spooks are Valerie's people who help her. Yknow? (but yes, when her friends DO get involved, they do write off their powers as meta/alien things.)
But yeah, Val being part of the Science Gone Wrong Crew. They can be part of her other-friend-group, but I especially imagine her being close friends with Blue Beetle and Cyborg? Just, yknow, similar circumstances. One is a superhero via a parasitic creature thing, and the other is a superhero by technology like her. She's in between!
Also, Wes being an alien is hilarious. Would he even KNOW? I love the idea that he would think he's human, all the way up until, idk, he completes human puberty and then has a sudden transformation and learns he's an alien because he's now starting alien puberty lol. I like the idea that he had an ancestor/parent that was an alien like that one person mentioned in the comments (it would really match up with the fact that the rest of the Spooks are half-human in some way too). Imagine the freak out. He would have A Journey emotionally and mentally trying to figure that out and accept that, and FINALLY realize why trying to out Danny and co is a horrible idea because now he's in the same situation where if he's outed Bad Things TM will happen. To him. He only half-heartedly continues accusing Danny and co to not seem off, but he's slowly letting it die down to make it seem like he's naturally giving up at least. The accusation that he's an alien, while frustrating that everyone believes without much convincing, would give him such a panic attack as he realizes the consequences of what would have happened had everyone actually believed him about Danny, because now he's worried about some government coming to kidnap him and put him in Area 51. Like yeah everyone's chill and won't turn him in, but the worry is still there because he has no assurance of this. I think this would be a natural starting point for him to join the Spooks--he goes to them for help about what to do about it and maybe someone to sympathize with him (Tucker being born as he is and gaining his own teenage transformation earlier that year means he's the most likely to empathize!) and also maybe get some help in case some government guys do tote him away, but of course this is after he apologizes.
Of course they do help him out. Danny suggests he uses his Cassandra powers to just tell everyone the truth and then no one would believe it anymore. Wes is just "that seriously won't work" and Danny replies "worked when I tricked you into doing it about me" so the next time someone cracks a joke/accuses Wes of being an alien, he goes full conspirator mode and says "actually I did some digging into my family history and I think I might be! Guys I totally might be an alien! Here's point A and point B, and how I connected them, and I have a whole powerpoint on it!" and. it. WORKS. Wes is so astonished that the immediate response is "oh ha ha, Weston, real funny, that rumor is last week's news, get some new material" or something. Wes wants to slam his head into the lockers, like "WTF WHY DID THAT WORK" and then starts down the rabbit hole of ACTUALLY trying to research his family/alien lineage to try and find out if it's a power his other-half species is supposed to have. (It doesn't. It's just a coincidence. It's funny to think about Wes spiraling like that though.)
But yeah I love this. Having an alien in the group. Wes doesn't seem to have any particular responsibility or have a penchant for fighting, and I feel like since he's the late-addition and not a close friend like the tight-knit group seems to be, that's fine that he's the odd man out. His responsibility can be helping everyone cover their absences/weirdness and be alibis lol. (Wes is not one of those friends who would step in front of a splash for Sam, or stand in front of a bush so Danny can transform with slightly more cover, or etc. But that's only yet. He reluctantly goes "uhg, fine!" and does it, and eventually he'll just do it automatically. Especially after they've started covering for his oddities too--only seemed right to return the favor.) Also given his drive for investigative journalism, maybe he's their go-to guy for general researchy things.
Honestly I would love to see sketches or anything of this whole AU/XOver thing. I feel like if it were a real giant collaboration there'd need to be a discord or something to coordinate lol. Or an AO3 group? However that'll work. If you do plan on writing any side of this AU tho do post it! I will be happy to give more ideas and stuff :D
the wariness will definitely be something they will always deal with, even once they're known as members of the justice league. there's just a darker edge to them and their past. and even if they establish a place in their individual societies, they still started as outsiders. they still associate with the other.
i ironically don't actually know teen wolf that well so doing that crossover myself is a bit tricky for me. but i don't mind a cameo. for tucker i was imagining a female cousin around his age and maybe a sorta little brother type cousin. like he's young and hasn't changed yet but knows about being werewolves and stuff and really wanting to be included in their adventures even though he's baby. i am all for a latino descendant of wulf and them definitely having a family reunion at some point. i also wouldn't mind having another girl who can kick his ass when he acts stupid. i think there's actually a pattern of toxic masculinity in werewolf media, sometimes as a criticism of it, but i want some strong ladies. my brain now jumped to ginger snaps, but those were a darker breed of werewolf than i really want. idk. we should also probably think of names for everyone. but i'll probably have and easier time naming them when i sketch them.
the main crew are definitely tucker’s official pack though, much to everyone else's confusion. you also made me think that tucker will have complaints about how everyone smells. danny smells like ozone and death, sam like fish, jazz like flowers but specifically in a way that makes him sneeze. he doesn't smell great either to be fair. but it is an ongoing thing. the main irony being that when he goes and hangs out with other werewolves, he smells like his friends, so he stinks to them. i think the fact that his official pack isn't wolves is one of the things that makes him weird for the wolves. they might be tolerant of other monsters but you don't just go and pack bond with them. keep your pack among the wolves. that kinda thing.
sam isn't complaining about her powers really. she loves purification magic and being able to talk to fish and work with underwater plants. she just is annoyed that being a mermaid doesn't fit her aesthetic. that she's suddenly spending all her time on the beach or underwater. that she's at risk of getting a tan. that her weaknesses are much more prominent on land than her strengths and that she sometimes ends up holding her friends back when they suddenly have to deal with her having a tail. i think at some point danny and tucker get her a tricked out wheel chair. explaining why she needs one is tricky, they've never been the best liars, but shenanigans can be had with it.
i was actually imagining the mermaid princess to be more like yue from atla than paulina. that might make her a bit to similar to dora. but again i see her having a core of strength and being incredibly regal and capable when the moment calls for it. i don't think she'd be as naive as dora. i see her as a very strong character but one who embraces and uses her femininity in a way that sam doesn't. sam might be for feminism but she tends to look down on girls who like make up and being pretty. paulina to an extent is pretty shallow but sam isn't exactly that deep herself. she could afford to be less antagonistic to the other girls in her life. so the princess character, i'm thinking merrin as her name, would be more mature than either of them. she matured under the responsibility and pressure she's under and really came to own how she presented herself. so she might look like a Paulina or Ariel on the surface, but underneath that is an iron spine and a terrible amount of frustration.
i think their friendship would be mutually beneficial. merrin might go into their friendship initially manipulative, because she recognized sam's potential to be a leader and thought she could get a break. so she would be subtly pushing sam into the roll in public and teaching her politics on the way. and that would make their relationship more contentious in the beginning. but gradually, as they get closer and merrin has more opportunity to loosen up, it becomes more apparent that the mermaid has a lot to complain about and they have fun bitching about things. sam's helps merrin work out her frustration and just have a life outside her duty. sam meanwhile is maturing about her female relationships, seeing the value of femininity. she's also using what she learns about politics to get her way more on land. passing laws that protect ghosts and animals and the lake.
you're right about them needing to be a trio, though i would argue the fish companion could count as their third depending on how smart we make them. but i suppose we could have another character. i think i mentioned a merman who is considerably smaller than sam but who's flirting with her a lot. he might learn to respect her and get humbled and more helpful as the story progresses though. like character development. he's also really scared of danny, who is not only huge compared to him but also a bloody ghost. wtf. for some reason i'm inclined to call him hector.
either way i'm down with the absolute shenanigans of the mers getting on land and running around amity causing their own brand of chaos and also encountering ghosts and seeing why sam is 'like that'. just having them in the school would be wild. the populars would immediately try to latch on to merrin because she's beautiful and elegant and mature. but she's also taking the opportunity to be immature and messy since none of her subject can see her here. so she's going to say some mean stuff and feel incredibly proud of herself.
aside, mermaids are also known for singing. so i think it would be interesting to have her accidentally pull siren shit on land. i'm debating if singing should be one of sam's powers. it might be one, but she refuses to use that power because her voice doesn't suit the kind of music she likes. she wants to sing metal or punk and she has a voice for choir. i'm also going to go with the head canon that danny can sing well and that ends up being some common ground between him and merrin. danny accidentally getting pulled into a siren trio with ember and merrin. sam and tucker having to break them up, because while they're having fun, they're getting out of control. i don't think either danny or merrin set out to hurt anyone but sometimes you join an accapella group and things happen.
i like spike, a lot. i'm a punk so having characters i con project onto is fun. i'm less inclined to give jazz another side kick though. i could see her maybe almost making friends with a brownie, and it following her home to help clean and take care of it, as brownies do. only for it to be chased out within the day by the pure chaos of the fenton security system. she was so close and yet so far. on the other hand keeping with the theme of jazz making friends with people (and creatures) aesthetically darker than her. i could see her accidentally befriending a dark sithe. a member of the court of shadows. like someone genuinely kinda evil, and who assumes jazz is also more evil than she is based on her power level. they don't help her reputation among the fae. misunderstandings ensue and yet jazz still manages to keep her head and be manipulative enough to escape unharmed from the sithe's manipulations and possible attempts to literally kill her. now i'm imagining jazz somehow inherited jack's oblivious plot armor. where she's naive and friendly enough, to just duck at the right times and dodge all shots accidentally. doyle is loosing their mind. i'm going to call the dark sithe Pantera after my black cat.
i could also see her befriending a pooka. i could see them as a mute character that usually only she can see. for shenanigans. she's not as close with them, but they're one of the nicer fae she's in contact with. the pooka also likes to play pranks and tease people, often invisibly behind their back when only jazz can see them. they go out of their way to make jazz laugh. they're going to be named harvey and are a giant rabbit, because references.
and yep, at this point, danny has been a halfa and hero for more than a year. he's teamed up with his share of ghosts over that year and has a lot of contacts and friends within the ghost zone. i could see him having another episode with sidney where they end up actual friends. now i kinda want sidney to reveal some hidden useful skill that everyone, especially his bullies missed. danny seeing past the nerdiness to the brave and plucky kid the sidney really is and they form a genuine friendship. bonus, danny getting a bit nerdier through proximity and tanking his own reputation in the process. dora probably doesn't leave the zone as often now that she's queen. but they remain good friends. amorpho, wulf, and cujo also count as good friends. i am into danny getting close with kitty, johnny, and ember though. i think it starts with him giving a bit of grown and letting them out of the zone so long as they don't hurt anyone. could also see them sharing music. danny learning the music from the time they died, vs the music he likes now. they're all kinda edgey just in different ways. i also want the punk ghost trio to be a bad influence on him, but in a fun way. because lets be real, danny has gotten really stuck in the goody two shoes act since dan. letting him have some fun and be a bad boy is totally valid as far as i'm concerned. also i just want him riding a motorcycle.
you've made a good point about keeping the human heroes as mainly val's thing. it's much more balance. i might have jumped the gun because, obviously, i'm a superhero nerd. you're right about everyone being busy as hell. i like chief sam but also like sam being a princess just aesthetically. she is going have to build her kingdom, and work mainly in the water though. danny becoming king is happening so he might also be getting training for that at this point, possibly via clockwork shenanigans which takes him all over creation. i know you said tucker is more local but i'm actually going to say that while the werewolf community is relatively small, they move around a lot. the have established territories but they can be pretty freaking big and they travel a lot within them. so tucker leaving town to interact with his family and settle things within the larger territory. which would also give him a larger opportunity to deal with other monsters. he's still the team tech guy though. probably doing some man in the chair stuff. you're right about jazz minding her business. she has school.
but yeah having them be her people and occasional come on missions especially when it concerns their 'thing' such as a rogue vampire or killer whale. val just being able to say i have a guy for that. and having this smug look. in part because she kinda has a guy for everything. her friends are freaking versatile.
aquaman: i can't settle issues in the great lakes because it's technically not my domain and it would anger the mers there. val: oh don't worry i know someone
some of the heroes do end up wondering why her friends aren't part of the league, but they have a life. i think there's a bit of irony in she almost never summons phantom to handle ghost problems because she can handle most ghosts, so the supers probably don't even know she's friends with phantom now. it would have to be a big world threat to bring him in and it would probably blow some minds. in the mean time, any of her other friends showing up, they leave quite an impression for how little they're actually around.
i also think batman goes down a rabbit whole researching her and her friends. initially it looks simple for jazz. ghosts are kinda while but he gets protecting your town from the threat. and her civilian live isn't overly complicated. she was a nice girl who's dad lost his money due to a ghost attack and she ended up taking up ghost hunting on top of a fast food job. she's pretty much a normal person as far as heroes go. but then he looks into her friends. and everyone has a secret life and just keeps getting wilder the further he looks because they're all chaotic and involved in things all over the place. danny is doing stuff all throughout time. that might actually mean batman doesn't put together fenton is phantom. maybe he just assumes phantom is his ancestor, and that's why they look alike. the lab accident and the ghost hunter parents is weird enough though....
actually! batman figuring out that the lab accident gave dany ghost powers but not putting together he's phantom. batman inviting fenton to be a superhero and put his powers to good use, unaware that danny is already a very busy hero. danny being too dumb to refuse because joining the justice league would be so cool. danny having to train his ghost powers in human form and getting a new suit and secret identity. val having to cover for him and finding this entire situation ridiculous. especially because he's going to flunk out of school at this point.
danny: do i need to graduate when i'm going to be king val: no one wants a high school dropout to handle politics. danny: the ghost zone begs to differ
it proves unsustainable and Fenton decides to just be her sidekick when he has time, but otherwise sticks in amity.
blue beetle and cyborg are a cool combination for her. not just because they got powers in similar ways, but also because they're all heroes of color. gotta stick together and have each other's back. just in general they have vibes. i also like val being half in love with wonder woman, because same. training with a strong female hero is everything to val. i think we also need a hero good at challenging her and keeping her level. val isn’t perfect and i think it’s be healthy for someone to challenge her decisions and stubbornness. she’s a little too similar to bats for them to disagree enough to be proper foils. i’m kinda torn on having her foil in the league either be flash or superman.
flash would be a good foil because he’s not really the type to punish his villains. he does his best to get to know people and help his villains get help. he’s a lot looser and fun. i imagine his goofy personality would get on vals nerves cause she takes her job very seriously. he’s also the result of a science gone wrong. he might be a little too similar to danny though. and on the one hand that could emphasis certain point and be used for jokes. we all ready have danny serving as a foil so it probably wouldn’t be as effective as it could be.
superman pulling his innocent golden boy thing though has potential though. they are so inherently different and sups is impossible to hate, so i see val struggling with the fact that she isn’t good enough. she’d probably enter a mental compensation with him. to be as good, to be as heroic, as him. and the fact that she’s loosing is driving her up the wall. especially when he comments about how some of her methods aren’t very heroic. she’s a fighter first and foremost. superman has mad a career out of pulling his punches. val has always been fighting extra hard. essentially she’s jealous. had the potential to let her grow in different ways. i think batman would point out that no one can match sups and that she should be herself. but it still niggles at her. sups plays oblivious but i see him knowing and just affectionately teasing her. she gets better about her jealousy. and even becomes a better hero from the prodding, but she has a mild grudge.
wes would get his own fic in this series of his adventures and the first half being devoted to him discovering his powers and facing the consequences of his actions. like the others would be all about exploring their different worlds and going on magical adventures. and then you have wes, going through a rough puberty and realizing he’s been a jerk to the only people who could possibly help him. fantastic. good shit. it’s a who emotional journey probably full of trips and hiccups and backsliding and denial.
bonus points if his older brother, easton, is in the know and trying to help and ease him through it. but wes is having a conniption because he 1. didn’t notice his brother was an alien and 2. his brother didn’t tell him this was going to happen to him. easton points out that it might not have happened. it skips a lot of people in the family line. it skipped kyle.
kyle is going to be positively oblivious in this. he doesn’t believe in anything paranormal. his brother being an alien is out of the question. it’s really a rule fo the funny situation. is he dumb? is he actually totally aware and just committing to a bit? is he just missing everything by sheer coincidence. who knows... but wes hates it.
so there can be some focus on the brotherly relationships. easton trying to be a good big brother but also being the type who explains nothing and who really doesn’t understand his little brother. kyle being affectionate and great but not understanding anything that’s going on. i think he would probably be the type to give good advice anyway. like the situations he’s imagining or even using as reference are totally normal and have nothing to do with the situation at hand, but is still somehow the perfect advice for the situation at hand. like wes ends up getting pulled into one of the superhero situations and meeting other aliens for the first time, and kyle just takes it as, ‘oh you’re meeting knew people? other conspiracy theorist. bro that’s great. here’s how you make friends.” and wes is going on a riff on how he has no idea what species they are or if there’s any sort of grudges or racism between alien races. and kyle is like “oh they’re foreigners? i knew this swedish exchange student. miscommunications happen, but so long as you’re both trying, things will turn out fine, my brother.”
wes is struggling. but so he eventually gets outed as an alien, and has his character development and panic attacks and so on. he’s a fun character because he’s neurotic enough to act in extremes. going into paranoid isolation, looking everywhere for bugs or white vans. and he’d be trying to train his powers as fast as possible so he’d have a way to defend himself.
when he finally goes to the spooks for help they present a united front, that’s both intimidating and pretty gay because none of them know how to sit like a straight person. i don’t have strong feelings on their sexualities, but not straight is a safe assumption. even works in with the history of monsters being used as metaphorical stand ins for lgbtq people. there’s narrative groundwork for it, and also i’m just queer and down for character i like also being queer. anyway, they spend a whole chunk of the night teasing him and making him grovel for all the trouble he gave them. they don’t make it easy for him and force a litteral verbal apology from him.
but they do help him in the end and relax somewhat afterwards. i don’t think they’ll trust him for a while yet.. he burned a lot of bridges and has a bed habit of not respecting boundaries. that would be an ironic way for him to prove useful actually. he’s stupidly good at observation, so he’s usially the first to know when someone’s or something is off. he is actually weirdly attentive and good at sensing mood changes and problems. like it’s still creepy initially. like why do you know how many times i blink dude? but still it proves useful over time.
i could also see wes, having discovered how effective his cassandra powers are, just... telling the truth to cover for them. it’s like, if no one’s going to believe him anyway, he might as well develop the blunted delivery ever and tell people he told them so when they finally catch on.
star: where is val anyway? wes: she joined the justice league and is away on a mission star: hah, yeah right, nerd wes staring into the camera blank faced and soooo tired
the sad thing is he might get in trouble for lying and making up stories. he is the most honest person in amity at this point. pity him.
his adventure mainly involves figuring out his powers, reluctantly getting involved with the spooks, and yes covering for them. he’s neurotic enough that i can see things getting pretty chaotic for him just dealing with his civilian live and being surrounded by so much paranormal stuff. he probably would be motivated to regain some of the friendships he’d ruined by being so obsessive. i could see him trying to regain popularity at some point, trying to escape the conspiracy theorist title.his relationship with his brothers and his improving relationships with the others can also be it’s own thing. now i’m imagining wes getting pulled on random adventured into the others lives (because no one else was available) and realizing he’s in way over his head. there are also several solid moments of “i could have died. i could have died so many times.” lets be real, if his friends weren’t heroes, they could all individually one shot him out of existence. that realization is only starting to sink in.
he eventually settles in the man in a chair role. tucker had started there, and then later jazz. they all have their techniques and such. tucker covering tech and hacking, jazz mental resources and emotional well being, and wes research has it’s benefits. but i could also see some initial tension. mainly because tucker doesn’t want wes reading his files.or messing up his desk set up.
i’d like for wes to eventually find his place with them, despite the rocky start. val would eventually start introducing him to the aliens in the league and they’d start trying to determine where he’s from and they can eventually have adventures with that. but for the time being, wes is his own worse enemy. he is his own antagonist and honestly that’s valid and relatable of him.
i don’t know if these posts have enough traction yet to produce a fic series and i don’t really want to put the leg work in for that. but i ma having fun just brainstorming with you, so lets roll with that. - Hestia

ask game 9, 12, 13, 17, 20, and 21
wow no fandom!! that sounds like an invitation to make the worst multifandom mess of an ask game
9. worst part of canon- dear evan hansen
evan and Zoe getting together was so weird tbh. you pretend to be friends with her dead brother so you can date?? ick
12. The unpopular character you really like-homestuck/hermitcraft
honestly i cant think of anyone that is unpopular (in the sense that they are disliked), but i guess there’s characters that are unpopular (less focused on in fandom). definitely the carapacians in homestuck. twelve fics in ar/wv/pm pensive emoji.
and for hermitcraft this is less an unpopular character but more of an over-popular character (grian. i search [ship] and it’s a background ship in a grian-centric fic. ive begun to exclude grian from the searches because theres just so damn many of him)
13. Worst blorboification- life series
i feel like jimmy is characterized as pathetic and helpless a lot and that’s kinda ruined his character for me? he can do things on his own,, it’s very hard to find good characterizations of jimmy in fic
17. there should be more type of this fic/art- hermitcraft
where is my polyhermits art?? i miss them (i am going to have to do it myself!! stay tuned tehe)
20. Part of canon you think is tedious or boring- homestuck
the first intermission. i was hella confused!! what is going on here!!
21. Part of canon you think is overhyped- homestuck
Honestly the trolls? they’re lovable little guys and theyre a little bit (ok, a lot) crazy, but i dont really get hte whole homestuck fandom’s obsession with the trolls. where is the love for the carapacians !! and the kids!! (i kinda get this though the trolls are a big part of the plot but before joining the homestuck fandom, i had heard many of the trolls’ names and none of the humans’ or carapacians’ names so i thought they were a lot more prominent than they actually are)

What's your least favorite L.S.B theory?
((I don't know if I really have one that's really popular or relevant by any means that I strongly dislike. I do faintly remember some sort of 'edgy' theory back from when I still used Deviantart (ie way over a decade ago) that the three were immortal soulless demons created by Oogie from the depths of hell who deserve to be destroyed forever, but I don't think it exists anymore.
I am however really bothered by theories that strip the trio of their being children and suggests that theyre 'not really' children (eg 'L.S.B. are actually adult immortal demons from hell who just look like children'), and thats mainly because I've seen some really weird triggering stuff done with these characters in particular, when they're canonically supposed to be like, no more than ten years old???
For the record I don't dislike theories that suggest the trio might be demons as a species! I just don't like when people erase the fact they are kids just to draw/write NSFW of them. Like I am seriously not okay with that for any underage characters ever.
I also am not really a fan of 'what if they're actually serial killers' theories, but that's more of a personal peeve thing, and not a soap box thing. I think Lock Shock and Barrel are a lot more entertaining when they're all talk but ultimately just uber-edgy kids. Like they sang that whole song about different ways to maul Santa, but then just knocked on his door and bagged him, super anticlimatic.
I see them as the types of kids who brag to Jack about all the terror they inflicted in the human world, but all they really did was smash some pumpkins and ding-dong ditch some old lady. Kids are funny.))

Hey, what's up! I'm just a random gremlin who loves Transformers way too much. Welcome to my tumblr page of doom, or whatever.
Call me tfp-is-my-lifeblood-lol or "Timll," since that's easier :) I would've put my name first, but tumblr's being glitchy and keeps deleting the whole first paragraph when I try to edit it loooool
Rules:
-Be nice! Think of this blog like Maccadam's Old Oil House in Cyberverse: No fighting, or I'll turn into a giant robot with weapons coming from every part of me 😊 (jk, I wish, though. That would be sick)
-Please be patient with me, as I have no clue how Tumblr works yet lol
-Rules for Headcanons and Matchups are specified in their own separate categories
-Have fun!
I write:
-Headcanons/Scenarios
-Matchups
-Asks
I write for:
-TFP
-RID15
-Rescue Bots
Headcanons
-I do SWF and non-romantic headcanons only. I know it's a weird rule, but trust me, I SUCK at writing romance and NSFW. You do NOT wanna see me try😂
-Self-inserts and OCs welcome! However, be aware I may not write anything that wouldn't make sense in the show's world (like, if your OC is a half-human-half-werewolf, or something)
-Try to be very specific with your request. If you want me to write about a sassy human reader, give me an example or two of them being sassy. This helps me make the request more fun and interesting
-As always, please don't spam me with requests, or beg, or harass me. I'm a busy gal, and I might not get to all of them.
-If I do a request post, but it says my requests are closed, that means I'm catching up on old requests (I know that can get super confusing).
-NOT a rule, but I would really appreciate a nice mix of Decepticon and Autobot characters in requests. Just cuz I love them all. I'm asking out of pure selfishness looool. You don't have to tho :b
Matchups:
You can be matched with a character, and/or I can tell you what your alt mode would be, if you were a Transformer.
-To request a matchup, tell me about yourself (BUT nothing too personal-- like, don't dox yourself). Instead, tell me about who you are.
For example:
-Your overall personality
-Likes/Dislikes
-Fun Facts
-Favorite movie, animal, color, song, etc.
For a character matchup, you'll get:
-Matched with a character
-Headcanons and maybe a scenario
-Possibly a song that fits you, if I'm feeling inspired
For an alt. Mode matchup:
-Please describe your personality as you, yourself, a human (rather than as a Transformer). You can include "if I were a Transformer, I would *insert anything you want here* (specifying which faction you side with is also fine) but I'll need your actual human description, too. It helps me match you up better.
-You can be specific, like: "What would my Maximal form be?/What would my Predacon form be? What type of car would I be?" Etc. or you can ask for an alt mode in general. Up to you!
-I'll tell you what you're alt mode would be! Yay🥳
Note: 1 fandom per matchup, at least for now. I've never done this before, so I wanna start small. But, you can ask for a character matchup and an alt. mode in one ask.
So yeah. Thanks for reading this far! You get an imaginary sticker!

The Quarry: Review/Rewrite
Spoilers for the game!!!
Just finished watching a playthrough of the Quarry and I gotta say, I kinda really like this game. It's not the type of game that takes itself too serious and can be quite scary in certain parts, but in the case of the Quarry what really makes or breaks the game are the characters. They are all your normal stereotypes characters you find in horror games/movies but with an added level of complexity to them, which makes them very interesting. You understand them, why they do what they do even if you disagree and you really wanna keep them alive. I think this game does this a lot better than Until Dawn, and while it doesn't have a narrative and plot as strong as that game, the whole point of these medias is to try to keep the characters alive, and you definitely want to do that here way more. I remember playing until dawn specifically so I could kill the three characters I disliked and that was it. Here I don't really dislike anyone- well, with one exception: Ryan.
It's kind of interesting how Ryan is kind of set up to be the main protagonist here, but is the least interesting character of them all. I will talk more about him later though.
To me, the biggest weakness in this story comes from the narrative/plot. It starts out strong with the kids being stuck in the summer camp with werewolves, but then it gets a little too confusing and weird by trying to put too much at once. You didn't really need the Hatchet family to be bigger than Chris, his children and Travis. You didn't need to add the family and the convoluted thread points regarding the land. I also feel bad that the main point regarding this is Silas and yet you only get to learn about him in the last 30 minutes of the game. The ending was also really bad, I know they wanted the banter between the two hosts to be endearing, but it was just annoying. I would have preferred just a picture of the newspaper instead.
All and all fun game. Not amazing, but I think it did a good job with whatcit tried to do. 7/10
The Rewrite
Now that the review is over, we can het to the rewrite. Just a heads up, I have not seen all the endings so far, only the main, true ending. This will be a rewrite of that.
The only thing I would change with Laura and Max is that, in this version, they get to the camp a lot sooner. Travis does not run into them. Laura has a brief encounter with the hag before they find the area where Chris is being kept. From there, game goes as normal with Travis eventually running into them, drugging Laura and shooting Max
We start off the same, last day of summer, the instructors are getting ready to leave, but Jacob wants one last night with Emma so he sabotages the car.
They sit around the fire, but before they start playing truth or dare, they ask Ryan to tell them a scary story and so starts. Around 50 years ago, a woman moved into Hackett's Quarry with her circus and her son, a child born half human half wolf. The locals believed that the woman was a witch and so they burned her alive with her troop, but in doing so permitted the boy to run free. Legend said that he was still alive and looking for the remaining members of the family that burned them down to kill them. No one believes him until he reveals that should know, because his family is one of them.
See, in this version, Ryan's parents are rich and are the ones who actually own the camp. He has come there every year and Chris is practically an uncle to him as well as a father figure since his father died in a car accident a long time ago- or so he was told. People laugh it off and truth or dare starts.
Game continues as normal with Nick getting bitten by one of the werewolves. The werewolves here are closer to your normal media, big fluffy men wolves. Like wolves, these wolves hunt in packs with the leaders being the strongest ones. The other wolves must obey the leader wolf and this wolf is the only one with some understanding of what he is doing. The only way for you to become the alpha is by defeating the current alpha in human form.
The pack starts hunting down the human, but interestingly enough they don't seem too interested in killing them. Just biting. Here is the part where your characters can get bitten. Since the wolves aren't out there to murder you yet, the game is a lot more forgiving.
As the wolves stalk the kids, they also seem to be looking for something- or someone-
This is also around the time that Travis, Laura and Max arrive at camp. Laura is there to kill Chris, the wolf who infected Max and who the Alpha of the werewolves is looking to force him join his pack. He isn't aware of Max yet, but if they run into him they will force him to join as well.
Travis runs into Jacob and Emma and arms them to go hunting for Silas, revealing them about how the curse started. Not only was Ryan's story true, but the White Wolf returns to camp every five years or so and occasionally infects more people. One year, he returned two early and infected a child that was here at the time, the son of Chris, Caleb. Instead of becoming a mindless beast, however, the curse affected Caleb differently (possibly due to his age, he was the same age Silas was when his mother died.) Caleb was not only able to control his transformation, but also control the wolves in his lineage to do his every bidding. Caleb then went on to infect his sister and his father and then more people before he made a whole pack for himself. Caleb managed to escape with his sister, but not with his father, so now he does his best to keep Silas safe so the curse doesn't end while looking for Chris and Travis so that their family may be completed once more.
Meanwhile, Laura tells Ryan, Dylan, Nick Abigail and Keitlin a very different story of how she had been kept prisoner in the police station with Max for the past two months.
Now we have two groups: one trying to hunt down Silas and one looking for Chris with Caleb's wolves tracking down both of them. Travis group is attacked constantly while things are quiet with Laura's group up until they find Chris. This was all Caleb's plan, however as he instead frees Chris and forces him to join his pack. He threatens to do the same to the humans, but Laura is unwilling to go do down without a fight, and so Laura shoots some of the wolves including his sister. Now, Caleb, may or may not be able to speak, but I do think it would be cool if he did.
I would be interested in creating a parallel between Silas and Caleb since they are the only two wolves capable of controlling their transformations, both had terrible things happen to them while children and both value family. The difference is that Silas was a quiet boy who never wanted to hurt people, he just did it when he felt threatened and then was misunderstood for being a dangerous animal. Meanwhile, Caleb comes from a not so great household where all he ever wanted was to get power and upon getting this power he made it his life goal to use it to create a family: even by force.
This is the part in the game where mercy gets thrown out of the window. Any characters infected by the curse are forced to join Caleb as he pretty much takes control over the player- including Nick who was still human up until this point. Any characters will get brutal deaths from now on if you mess up. All the wolves try to devour the humans, getting Laura bitten in the process and the group ends up splitting up with Keitlin and Dylan on one side, Laura and Ryan on the other and Abigail by herself. And so the hunt begins.
Dylan's group find themselves in the junkyard where they are forced to fight some of the wolves, including Chris. Laura and Ryan are followed by the main pack led by Caleb and a single wolf goes after abigail, Nick. Depending on who is turned the distribution may change. It is also heavily implied the hikers are the other wolves, now enslaved by Caleb. I will say his Original group was composed of 12 werewolves, himself, his sister and 10 more. After she dies, that numbed goes down to 11, then as he recruits his father and Nick, 13. The more people were bitten, the more difficult the game becomes. If no one is infected, each group has 3 wolves on them. The scary things about these monsters isn't so much their individual abilities, but how they swarm you and attack in groups. They are surprisingly intelligent hunters (no blood logic here) and will almost always attack in groups.
Dylan and Keitlin manage to kill their wolves, including Chris himself, curing Max in the process. Abigail traps Nick where Chris was being held without harming him and then both groups leave to the lodge, having survived their encounters.
Now Laura and Travis' group reunite and I think it would be cool for the witch to have been playing tricks in Travis' groups so you play through these illusions. Maybe there is even a chance you shoot each other. When you meet, the illusion fades and you quickly find yourselves following a wolf track bigger than the ones before. This is where Silas is, in his old cage, possibly cuddling an old skeleton. In front of him, a group of six werewolves awaits them led by Caleb. Travis ans Caleb look at each other, Travis tries pleading with him to let him end this, but Caleb refuses. He won't let his new family go. He tries to force Laura to join with their connection, but she is able to resist for now and so the fight breaks out. This is by far the longest fight in the game and the hardest. You jump from character to character trying to keep them alive. You can choose to kill the wolves here or spare them, but the latter is considerably harder. Eventually, Travis allows Caleb to bite him to make him think he has won, only for Laura to be standing there with the shotgun ready. She shoots Caleb's brains off, ending the fight and all the werewolves are released.
All but one.
Silas appeared to be unbothered by the fight, just silently whimpering on his spot. Here you get to make one last choice: let him live or put him out of his misery. If you let him live, he will keep infecting people, if not, he is reunited with his mother and they are both allowed to move on.
The game ends with the characters saying goodbye, but not for long, after all the police will want to hear from them. Yeah, it was a tough night, but they survived it and, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
