I remember how great he is. Lets do it! Together! Okay- NOOO OOOONEEES- oh, they're not singing with me... uh... Uh uh uh- Heyy, why dont you stare into the fire a while?, it helps when Gaston's in a funk or OH!- What about a foot massage? Gaston says I'm good at that!- " - LeFou
"Oh dear dear dear- The Captain isn't going to leave you, Y/N! He's just excited, is all! Thinks he's got a real shot at Pan this time, he does! Like a kid at Christmas! I'm sure, once he's done with the poor boy he'll run right back here and apologise- he really doesn't mean to be rude, you know!! He just forgets his head sometimes! Now sit down, sit down, I'll make you some tea and you'll feel good as new no time." - Mr Smee
They aren't great at it but they're trying XDD
(You've gotta try and imagine them in their voices XD Especially Iago and Smee)

Ever think about how amazing it is that we got a character like the Bit in TRON 1982?
I mean, yeah, having some cute little robot or animal side characters was, and still is, very typical of movies in that genre.
But, look at the Bit.
Tumblr media
It's based on a computer science concept, of course: the simplest unit of data in a computer, a single 1 or 0 indicating yes or no. And it's anthropomorphized just enough to get actual computer nerds confused about what exactly it is supposed to be. Clearly you'd need lots more than one bit, to create a programmed entity that behaved the way a Bit does!
Is it the mystical energy of Programmer Spirits that animates it beyond what should be possible-- as it does for the Programs themselves, who also aren't nearly complex enough to be alive on their own? Or is a Bit something else, like an external subroutine of a program, which is called a Bit simply because of the way it communicates?
Who knows? Who cares? It's a Bit! It's adorable!
And yet… this same level of anthropomorphizing is very unusual for Disney, and for the whole genre, in a whole different way.
Though it's much more animate than one could reasonably imagine for an actual bit… the Bit is much less anthropomorphic than any creature playing any comparable role in any comparable movie I can think of.
It has no eyes, no mouth, no words except a synthesized Yes and No. It expresses itself only by shifting appearance between three faceless geometric shapes.
And yes, we love it! Yes, we adore the heck out of that sassy little thing! Yes, we will absolutely look at this object that resembles no person or animal in existence, and we will find enough cuteness to scream over!
We are the weird nerdy audience that you sucked in with the promise of a movie about computer programs being alive, and YES we are invested enough to take this ALL the way!
But I haven't seen any other movie do this, ever since.
And even the original Tron movie wasn't GOING to do it, at first.
Tumblr media
Now, every other time I've looked at the early development of ideas in a movie, I've seen a pattern of "Less Relatable being reworked into More Relatable." Any creature design that looks "too weird," "too unfamiliar," "too alien," will evolve over the course of edits, until it satisfies the developers' expectations for being something audiences can relate to.
In other words… looking at the early concept art and the final product, I am certain any other movie I can think of would've adapted the Bit in the exact opposite direction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Same with the MCP.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Whether it's a villain or an adorable little sidekick, the fans who became captivated by the classic Tron movie are an audience eager and ready to see life and personality in something utterly alien, something that resembles no actual life in the world we know.
And yet, I'm sure this wasn't even the goal of any of the character designers.
When you look at the early design of the Programs, you see them follow a more typical pattern, starting out more robotic, less humanoid, less "Relatable," and progressing toward recognizable humanity.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
That movie, I'm pretty sure, was an exception to the rule not because of any philosophy about what would resonate with audiences... but simply because of the constraints of the medium.
The Bit and the MCP became more simple, more geometric, because that was easier to computer-animate.
Programs became more humanoid because that was easier for human actors to play.
A big, huge chunk of what made this movie relatable in a gloriously weird way, to gloriously weird audiences who may have had serious trouble relating to lots of other media, is just a serendipitous side-effect of the wild experiment that it was.
...I wish movies would take risks like that more often.
Really.

I'm here to admit that I may have developed a hyper fixation on your OCs (especially on Zerion and Sir. Valentine) so can you perhaps tell us more about them? (And other OCS)
oh hey!! great selection of characters. Makes me really happy you wanting to know more about them! I love them a lot, but Sir Valentine more, as Zerion's personality and setting is pretty nebulous still. info about them both under read more!
Zerion is some sort of cartoony super villain, heavily inspired in the night of the bald mountain monster interpretation from Fantasia(disney)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(art from 2020)
I think he's a very strong dark mage or something. Right now I have him reduced to a joke. A cartoony villain living his slice of life, but always awaiting action, the smallest spark chaos, to join in, in a world where nothing ever happens. He has his sidekick, Vampina (I think that was her name). A vampire chick who lives in the moment and is Zerion's servant, as long as he provides him with some blood every now and then
Tumblr media
(2023)
Tumblr media
(2021)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
she almost never pulls off that relaxed smile from her face, her brain usually has no thoughts more than "can i eath this?" "I can eat this" Both of them are pretty evil. I remember once i tried to sketch out a first chapter, where they had a visit of income tax department agents, coming to remind Zerion he hadn't paid his taxes, and both Zerion and Vampina made a whole intricate plan on how to get rid of them and torture them, to show the government they're not to be fucked with. Though, all their scare tactics were just confusing, failed magic tricks for the men, now tied to apparent non functioning electric chairs, looking at each other through their sunglasses, stoic faces, while confused to what Zerion is yapping about in his villain monologue, while Vampina eats a stale bread in the BG. ---------------------------------------------------------
I don't have much about Sir Valentine either, but I certainly have drawn him more. For now, His name is Sir Cannon Valentine, but we'll get to that in a bit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(both from 2020)
Tumblr media
This is the first art ever I made of him, and that's a lot of his vibe. (2019)
This MAN, is some warrior who died in his armor but is back by some whack magic, and he's impatient, easily irritated, screams instead of talking, and I've always imagined having him a strong accent. He's here to fight and go headfirst into everything bc he really cannot die.
As of 2024, Sir Valentine is Sir Cannon Valentine (you can still call him the first version), BECAUSE, besides him being reborn and inmortal, angry and ready to fucking obliterate anything in his way, now his body works as a canonball
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He went through my manic episode of redesigning many of my characters, after getting a taste of Pizza tower's cartoony characters, and became this. Much more functional, easily drawn, flowy. he just works, i can animate him in a snap of fingers. Still consistenly working to improve his design even more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will probs change the story, but this guy is resucitated as a last resort for a war between kingdoms, as a mistake, bc they wanted to revive some other guy, but got mistaken and went to his thomb. This guy revived him, after a ritualistic dance and some lightning
Tumblr media
and then he is like "oh wait I fucked up", and Valentine is like "TOO LATE BITCH I'M FREE!!" and blasts away from him, as a cannonball, fueled by his own fire and methane gas from the catacombs he is in lol. This story is very not much constructed, but I love Sir Valentine a lot, and the characters I can surround him with. I see him falling for a bourgeoisie woman, or a princess even, bc all my stories need the romance, I'm nothing without the romance. I am also thinking of including another character of mine, Sayen, as the daughter of this death guy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sayen previously appeared as a participant in a nsfw comic in my twt alt account lol. I love her and her design very much.

So you know how it's known across the fandom that Yuu's love for Grim (and favouritism) is stronger than any potential romantic love and one of my favourite tropes is having Grim getting in the way of the boys' courting because of Yuu's motherly instincts for the little baby.
Imagine that but Miss Yuu and the villainous sidekicks in the House of Mouse!AU because of course her Disney Princess-ness is so strong that she not only has her own animal sidekick but also the animal sidekicks of the villains. Like, the overblot gang try to visit her at her job in the club only to find her already occupied.
Riddle comes in to find her having a pleasant tea party with the King of Hearts and the White Rabbit and feels too shy to say anything
Leona is visibly ticked to find his pillow herbivore in a hyena cuddle pile, with Yuu giving them all head pats (especially when Shenzi, Banzai and Ed give him smug looks when Yuu's not watching)
Azul can do nothing but stare when he finds Yuu's attention is slowly focused on giving Flotsam and Jetsam head scritches as they purr all self-satisfied like the little sea cats they are
Jamil is completely irked to see Iago hogging all of Yuu's time by letting her pet his feathers as he brags about himself
Both Vil and Malleus have come on separate occasions to find either Queen Grimhilde's crow or Diablo preening at Yuu's attention
The one time Idia leaves his room and comes to the club with Ortho so that he can play a new mobile game with Yuu, only to find her sitting in the corner with Pain and Panic all snuggled up on either side of her (and Grim on her lap, of course), as the three of them watch Kimi No Na Wa on the imps' tablet.
I just find find it neat how the sidekicks (both heroic and villainous) have all basically claimed Yuu as theirs as well. I've always loved the whole found family aspect of when a character is dating or gets gets adopted by a powerful character, all of the underlings instantly welcome them, shower them with love and are probably even more protective of them than the other main character (it happens quite a lot in manga, manhwa and in a lot of fanfics I read)
This is adorable, but also the image of Pain and Panic basically being iPad babies makes so much sense.
Hades brought Cerberus once, and Miss Yuu giving him a treat was all it took for him to be a good puppy. There is always a bird, good or evil, perched on her shoulder. Lucifer likes to curl up at her feet when she sits down somewhere. Yuu is basically and unofficial Disney princess now, so that means all the animals love her. But Grim will always be her baby.

guys I have an idea for how it would got if house of mouse came back
@orchestra-of-demonic-screeching @champmorado @x0stormie0x @anemoia42 @thisismisogynoir
Tumblr media
Imagine the house of mouse starting off with Mickey announcing to the gang that he’s rebooting the show, this time inviting not only the new Disney characters in store, but also the Pixar characters!
There’s the Toy Story gang, the Bug’s Life gang, Monster’s Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, and everyone else in the Pixar studio is invited to join this new show in the House of Mouse. The new Disney characters such as those from Wish, Encanto, Frozen, Tangled, Moana, etc is also invited.
That includes…the villains.
But we’ll get to them later.
anyways, Mickey and the gang feel overwhelmed with how many more guests there are now, with Mickey especially feeling like he isn’t doing enough and isn’t being grand enough for the “much more advanced and futuristic characters”. But Minnie reassures him and over time this inner conflict is resolved with great payoff. This will also connect with the second conflict of this:
The Pixar and Disney heroes not getting along. They have their tensions during the opening episode, but there’s a moment in the climax of it where they start arguing with each other about everything due to a big moment enacted by the villains.
Oh by the way, let me bring up those villains again!
Similar to ‘the House of Villains’, this time, The Evil Queen, Maleficent, Jafar, Chernabog along with Auto, Syndrome, Hopper, and Lotso lead the Disney and Pixar Villains into a total overthrowing of the house of mouse, getting all the protagonists kicked out while the antagonists and villains reign free in the house. We could have a little gag here where when the Disney villains are singing and they point to the Pixar villains, they just go “oh we don’t sing sorry lol” and they have an “ok whatever” moment and continue.
This makes the tensions between the Pixar and Disney characters that were previously established reach its peak. It starts off with one of the Disney characters saying that it was the Pixar characters’ fault for not stopping them since they’re so much more advanced than the Disney characters. It then blows off from there, and, at least for me, I’d wanna see a moment in this huge argument where someone shames mater for being just an idiot tow truck, with lightning defending his best friend by saying “oh so dopey and goofy are allowed to be silly but mater can’t? Give me a break!” Or maybe something where lightning or mater respond but this time making fun of the early disney princesses for just being damsels in distress who sing with animals, with the princesses gasping in shock and the sidekicks of snow, cinderella and aurora being like “how DARE you!” (Especially grumpy because. He’s Grumpy). You could only pick one to keep the consistency but both are funny ideas for this.
This argument ends abruptly with Mickey yelling “ENOUGH!” which leaves everyone silent. He starts talking about how all the fighting they’ve been having is not only pointless, but extremely damaging to any chances they have at taking back the house. He goes on saying that the Pixar and Disney villains were able to cooperate and they become stronger, and if the protagonists couldn’t do the same in time then they’d be letting the villains take over everyone’s worlds. The other Pixar characters such as (but not limited to) woody and buzz join in as well as other Disney characters talking about their stories and how they’ve had to grow to understand others to get to their goals and more importantly to not let evil prevail. There’s a little heart to heart before Carl from Up interrupts saying “well, how are we gonna defeat them together? We can’t just believe in the power of friendship to do this!” and then Mickey gets an idea. And the training montage starts.
Mickey and his gang along with Woody and his gang of friends are the leaders of the operation, and they decide to use the magic of Disney and the technology of Pixar and mix them together. Thinking of Antonio from encanto leading the bug’s life characters into battle, miguel and moana getting an epic team up with maui as they fight against tamatoa, and some other cool stuff with other characters but the thing that I’m thinking about the most (because I’m a die hard cars fan and since this probably won’t happen I don’t have to worry about the other characters) is the idea of LIGHTNING MCQUEEN MATER AND THE OTHER CARS CHARACTERS DRIVING WITH TINKERBELL’S PIXIE DUST. LIKE IMAGINE LIGHTNING ZOOMING BY AND ABSOLUTELY BESTING CHICK IN A RACE WHILE FLYING WITH TINK’S PIXIE DUST AND MATER BEATING UP THE LEMONS WHILE A BUNCH OF GLITTER IS EMITTING FROM HIM OMGGG
Also like tinker bell teaching them how to control themselves while flying with her little bell voice and them learning how to steer and stuff and lightning stumbling a bit in the beginning omggg
but the final act comes from sorcerer Mickey. There’s a moment where the villains are weakened where Maleficent decides to transforms into her dragon form as a way to finish the battle quickly. Mickey shows up in his wizard attire and they go in a final battle which ends with Mickey winning, and saying that the villains are allowed in the house of mouse, but ONLY if they don’t pull a stunt like that again, which they reluctantly agree to.
This ends the opening episode for the new house of mouse, and with the heroes from Pixar and Disney being closer now.
Now here’s some ideas for other episodes in this new house of mouse. Keep in mind this is all cars related because I am a massive fan of cars, and I’m not really thinking of the other franchises for this as it probably is not gonna happen. If you have any ideas for the other characters though, feel free to share them in the notes!
here’s the first idea:
Lightning and Mater enter the house of mouse, with lightning talking about how great Cruz has been in training and in her races, as well as both of them just being glad that they’ve found the time to be in the house of mouse again. But then, we focus our attention to the evil queen from Snow White, who has a new magic mirror after her old one quit to work as Walt Disney’s co-host (my headcanon btw LMAO). She asks her iconic question and it shows that MATER is the fairest now, due to his naturally optimistic and kind personality and how everyone enjoys his company. She then decides to try and kill mater, first using some poisoned gas to try and kill him. Lightning, who knows exactly what’s going on, kicks the can of gas away before mater can consume it. We get a whole montage of the evil queen in her hag form trying numerous ways to kill mater but failing as the episode progresses while the different cartoons are played, only with the hag having a breakdown after not being able to kill him. Mater asks what’s wrong and the queen replies saying that she just wanted to be the fairest in the land, which mater says he can help with, since “that’s what a tow truck does!” The episode ends off on a comedic note, kind of similar to that one 2013 Mickey Mouse cartoon short, where despite still being an ugly hag, the queen is much happier than she was before, and mater being proud of himself for helping someone out (while lightning is slightly uncomfortable but still happy for his best friend).
now here’s the second one:
Here we have lightning and mater in the house of mouse again, this time with lightning remarking that he hasn’t been spending much time with Sally, especially since he’s started training cruz. He goes to look for her with mater only to find her hanging out with…the Disney villains! She’s seen sitting at a table and laughing with all the female Disney villains, such as Maleficent, lady Tremaine, cruella, madame Medusa, the evil queen, and more. Lightning shows up to the table asking her why she’s hanging out with the villains of all people, with her replying that yeah sure they may be a bit eccentric, but they’re actually fun to hang around. The episode progresses with this conflict and Lightning realizes that because he has been neglecting time with Sally, she actually feels a little hurt because of it, even though she knows racing means a lot to him. Lightning convinces Sally to not hang with the villains and apologizes to her for not giving enough love to her, which Sally forgives him for. This one isn’t as strong in my head as the first one but if I think it through it can be decent.
hope yall liked this train wreck of a post though! I might add more who knows lol

Inyour house of mouse au, I imagine the tsum tsum are being protective to yuu and often enjoying her affection while being mischievous to there counterparts plus tormenting Crowley
Oh yes! I imagine that the tsum tsums would cling to Yuu all day, stealing her attention and just drowning in her affection and when it’s time for her to go to work, they all start throwing the biggest tantrums on Earth to make her take them with her - all of this, of course, is being watched by the very unhappy NRC students. Yuu allows them to join her at her job after she makes them promise to behave and not cause any problems.
And they do behave! She explains the situation to the staff and promises them that she’ll make sure that they don’t make a fuss and that she’ll be 110% responsible for them. Mickey and the gang are cool and they let her have them as her little assistants.
They take their job as Yuu’s assistants very seriously. They help her carry plates, clean tables, gather the menus, and keep a look-eye for any tables that need her help. One of them even perches on her shoulder and writes in their own little notebook when Yuu is taking orders except it doesn’t know how to write so the page is covered in scribbles and doodles but Yuu is quick to thank it for their help.
There were incidents where the young animals/animal villainous sidekicks tried to bite them but Yuu was quick to save them (which earns her flowers, a tiny gift or a kiss on the cheek for her help)
When they aren’t helping Yuu, the tsum tsums like to hang around the customers that their non-tsum counterparts hang out with. They get into one-sided conversations seeing as they can’t speak and they’re very visibly upset that they can’t be with Yuu since she’s so busy but they’re fun to be around
Since she has a whole tsum tsum army she doesn’t have to worry about Mortimer or Pete because those little things show no mercy (we saw how hostile Epel’s tsum tsum was).
I think one of them would sit with Daisy at the entrance and she will just coo over how cute it is. Maybe another helps Max with valet by handing him the right keys.
I’d say that Idia’s would hide in Horace’s booth but then again he’d be scared that Yuu would forget him and leave him there so he’s gonna sit with Hades and watch anime with Pain and Panic on a tablet.
Everyone enjoyed having them around and were sad when they left.
(Also, side note: I love the Disney tsum tsums so much. I own Winnie-the-Pooh and Mickey Mouse tsum tsums and they are adorable 🥰)

A Proposed Darkwing Duck Celebrity Voice Cast
Part 1: The Dangerous Family (Plus Fenton/Gizmoduck)
The Darkwing Duck reboot is most likely gonna include a whole lot of celebrities in the roles of our favorite duckos, and we may or may not get the roles in the vains of Cummings, Mcgovern, or Castalenella, or even of the likes of Diamantopoulos, Bennet, or Beatriz from the reboot if Seth Rogan is involved. This is the man who's bringing us TMNT Mutant Mayhem which is chock-filled with celebrities. This list may be EXTREMELY untrue and potentially controversial, but here is the celebrities I would personally cast for in a hypothetical Darkwing Duck Reboot! The first part as the title suggests is going to focus on our favorite found family unit (along with Negaduck), and also Fenton in there as well. There will be more parts in the future for more characters, but these will be who we focus on for the first part.
Ben Stiller as Drake Mallard (Darkwing Duck)/Negaduck
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Starting with our favorite masked Mallard himself, Darkwing is one of the more comedic characters in Disney's lineup of protagonists. He has his heartfelt moments as well, but comedy is always Darkwing's motif and he's bound to have at least one quotable line. Negaduck is one of the most threateningly hilarious villains ever, and can steal any scene he's in. No actor can top what Jim Cummings provided for both Darkwing or Negaduck, but I think Ben Stiller (Zoolander, Madagascar, Night at the Museum) has got the right amount of humor, and is pretty great at changing up his voice, which I feel could lead to a very fun and entertaining performance with a lot of practice and vocal training. He would have to go VERY deep with Negaduck especially, but I think he can capture an evil yet comical Negaduck. And just imagine the improv with Stiller and Darkwing's famous intros...
A normal and friendly Drake Mallard with a hint of humor to his delivery. (Madagascar, 2005)
A perfect example of the change between a sweet fatherly Drake and a evil and nasty Negaduck (without the deep voice of course). (Happy Gilmore, 1996)
Negaduck would totally act like this... (Dodgeball A True Underdog Story, 2004)
Will Ferrell as Launchpad Mcquack
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next up, the extremely lovable sidekick to Darkwing Duck, Launchpad Mcquack!! He's a silly and goofy sidekick with a good heart, and he needs to have a voice that reflects that. To be as truthful to the original, his voice should be a lot more akin to Terry Mcgovern's normal sounding yet silly voice rather than the deep surfer dude voice Beck Bennet provided (which is also great too). I think Will Ferrell (Elf, Megamind, Step Brothers) fits this role perfectly. He can play a very goofy sidekick and with him and Ben Stiller being in Zoolander, they can have some great chemistry!! I do think that if we are taking the reboot voice into account, I would probably consider John C. Reily or (dare I say it) Chris Pratt.
This scene speaks for itself. Launchpad's wholesome and goofy personality can be summed up here. (Elf, 2003)
This is honestly a 91 LP and DT17 LP interaction right here. (Step Brothers, 2008)
Sadie Sink and/or Zendaya as Gosalyn Mallard/Waddlemeyer
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next up is Drake's adopted daughter, and the Quivering Quack Gosalyn! She is the heart of the whole show, and even though she has a rebellious and sassy personality, she also is a sweet young girl who is hiding a lot of hard feelings from her troubled past. The Ducktales reboot made the character a lot more fleshed out and more interesting than her original counterpart, and I would want to delve into that more. This means that a kid actor is out of the question and the role of a teenager, or someone that exudes teenager vibes would be preferable. If we stick with the original version (albeit aged up), I could see Sadie Sink (Stranger Things, The Whale) as the role. She can absolutely take the sassy and troublemaker side that Gos is always known for and crank it up to eleven (no pun intended for those stranger things fans lol). She can also channel the inner turmoil of Gosalyn's past into her acting and could potentially lead to some very emotional scenes between her and Drake. If we want to stick with the DT17 Gosalyn and have her be of spanish heritage like how Stephanie Beatriz was, I would say there would be no better choice in my opinion than Zendaya (Tom Holland Spiderman movies).
The sassiest 91 Gosalyn ever. (Stranger Things, 2016)
Tell me this isn't DT17 Gosalyn in a nutshell lol. (Spiderman Homecoming, 2017)
Harvey Guillén as Fenton Crackshell Cabrera/Gizmoduck
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To round out this part, we have our favorite Robocop/Iron Man homage and Darkwing's biggest and bitter rival, Gizmoduck a.k.a Fenton Crackshell!! Intelligence has always been what made Fenton his own character, but much like Gosalyn, the Ducktales reboot transformed him into a super lovable character even more than his original counterpart, which is why I would want to focus on that character more, and also add in some Spanish flair into the cast! Lin Manuel Miranda was such an outstanding choice for Fenton, giving a super adorkable and relatable personality being an intern, and an upcoming hero in Duckberg. While I would absolutely love to have him just reprise his role there's another actor that can channel that personality of DT17 Fenton greatly. And that would be in the form of Harvey Guillén (Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, The Internship, Blue Beetle), an actor that has gotten more and more recognizable in the current day! I could see Harvey perfecting what Lin Manuel managed to capture with Fenton, and make an even more adorable and super likable character if his roles like Perrito in The Last Wish have anything to say!!
This is literally the cutest voice that Fenton could have!! (Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, 2022)
That's it for part 1 of this ongoing series. The next part will focus on Drake's pesky neighbors: The Muddlefoots!!

A weird take no ones seems to talk about is what if Crowley works for Leven? If Crowley isn’t Leven (think he was said to be a dragon) or working for Malleus’s grandma instead, it’d make sense in a weird roundabout way I can’t articulate right. But part of me also wants the og Disney villains to have a more present role that’s supposed to be stopped by Crowley
You bring up a really good point! Σ੧(❛□❛✿) I think the issue about Levan is that we know so little of him, and the only things we do know about him are from VERY biased sources (Meleanor and Lilia). I think the theories of Crowley and Levan being the same person is currently more popular because of the current info we have now 🧐 But there are many alternative theories like yours, where Crowley and Levan may be twins or Crowley’s an incarnation of Levan’s magic, etc etc. I like all these theories haha, but I assume that Crowley being Levan is more easily understood by people? 🧐
One thing is like to bring up about Levan is that it’s unknown if he’s a dragon or not! (゚ω゚) His title is “Ryūgan Duke Levan,” or 竜眼公レヴァーン. The Chinese characters imply his connection to a long, which Malleus says is very different from a regular dragon in the Halloween event haha. But the title roughly translates to “Dragon-eyed” or “Long-eyed.” It’s interesting because Levan is also referred to as Meleanor’s “eyes, limbs, and husband,” so perhaps the “Dragon-eyed” is a title representing his connection to the Draconia dragons, rather than him being a dragon himself? It’s ambiguous though because Levan/Revan sounds a lot like “Raven,” like Diablo from Maleficent -v- There’s nothing clear about this guy lol….
Anyway, I love that idea! I’ve heard of the idea of Crowley working for Malleus’ grandma before and I like it! She seems to be mentioned a lot, so I would be surprised if she didn’t show up in the story. I think it makes so much sense because if Crowley was twisted from Diablo (or the crow from Snow White), he has to have a figure to be an assistant to, yes? Diablo was the sidekick to Maleficent, so I really like the idea of Crowley being the Diablo to Malleus’ grandma 👀
That’s also an interesting idea. Crowley does have a lot of connections to the OG villains, like the statues and the portraits in his office. With the whole Mickey in the Mirror thing, I wonder if we could see the OG villains somehow 🧐 If they really were historical figures, I imagine most of them would be long gone by now but…the Overblotters phantoms look exactly like the OG villains ∑(゚Д゚)
Thank you for your ask, these ideas are so interesting ! 💞💞💞🐦‍⬛

I'd like to know; how do you think Don Bluth's Beauty and the Beast would have turned out? I wish everyone would have been able to watch it. Just what would have been though I am not really into this Beast's design maybe the Baboon design that Disney turned down?
Hey! Thank you for your patience I wanted to have time to give this ask a proper reply, with some pictures. Overall I think it would have done well in the way of becoming a cult classic, full of beautiful images and plenty of nightmare fuel but rather cluttered in the way that most Don Bluth films tend to be, something that definitely adds to their charm but keeps them from becoming as popular as the more streamlined Disney Renaissance movies they were competing with at the time.
In terms of plot I feel like it would have taken a lot of influence from the 1946 Jean Cocteau BatB movie, as well as some influences from the original Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve version, along with some of The Grimm Brothers and Abhorsen and Moe’s “The Singing Springing Lark/Lily and the Lion/East of the Sun West of the Moon” bits, as I will explain below.
I think the Cocteau influences would have been seen most in the primary look/atmosphere of the film, we can see a lot of his dark dreamlike Romantic influences in the clothing and set design of this poster in particular. The Beast and Belle’s clothes could have come straight out of the 1946 film.
Tumblr media
This dark dreamlike atmosphere of that film would have worked quite well with Bluth’s style of filmography which tended towards that sort of Fever Dream Unreality in many ways. But of course we also have the abundance of side characters with their own small arcs (and animal sidekicks inexplicably wearing clothes) in the mix as well. We get most of our information about them and the themes of the film from this page:
Tumblr media
From this we gain the main theme of the film ‘a thing must be loved before it is loveable’, and several names of our animal/fairy sidekicks. Below we can see Beauty with Nan the clairvoyant dog, with Otto the escape artist lizard on top of Nan. The bird on her finger could be Max the bird detective in a more realistic design then the one with him in the large hat, or possibly just a random bird to go with the random squirrels. Wether these characters would have been true animals with quirky traits or people transformed like the Beast I don’t know, though with Bluth’s other films to go off of I tend to believe they were likely just funky animals who would have used their skills to try and help Beauty unravel the mystery of the Beast and his cursed castle.
Tumblr media
Try as I might I couldn’t find any depictions of the King Bats that were mentioned (fairly sure I have Queen Livia and the Wee Beasties though, we’ll get to that in a moment) so I wonder if they were later replaced with these wolves? They sound like they would have e been aligned with the villain in any case.
Here’s where we get to the ‘Singing Springing Lark/Lily and the Lion/East of the Sun West of the Moon’ influences I think would have been in the film. As we can see in the picture below we have Beauty and a very much human prince fleeing from the wolves on Pegusus back— in these versions of the BatB story the heroine is forced to go on a journey to rescue the prince from an evil princess, after his Beast initial curse is broken. She is usually aided by the Wind, riding its back to go and find him, and in the Grimm version the pair escape via Gryphon. It’s not to hard to imagine Don Bluth deciding to swap out a Gryphon for a more majestic and recognizable looking Pegasus for his lovers to escape on once they’ve been reunited.
Tumblr media
And of course we have the villain of our story, who I’m pretty sure is meant to be this Queen Livia. I mean look at this lady, all deathly pale and decked out in villainous green, pretty sure that a crown on her head as well. In the original Villeneuve version the Prince is cursed into a Beast by a wicked fairy after he refuses to marry her, I could totally see this woman cursing people left and right. Add that to how the Prince in the sketch version below seems to be facing off against this sinister looking woman’s head and I think it’s a good guess to say that Bluth’s BatB would have had a similar premise.
Tumblr media
I’ve also pulled out charters I’m very sure are meant to be Beauty’s father and sisters (the smaller head by the Father possibly being a sketch of their mother?) once more pointing to following the old traditional tale where Beauty is faced with opposition from her sisters as well.
We’ve also got a lot of sketches of what I’m assuming are the Wee Beasties, who are 1000% precursors to the Jitterbugs we later see in Thumbelina, along with some more butterfly like fairies, who could possibly be grouped in as a prettier type of Wee Beastie or just be fairies.
Tumblr media
So yeah, I think it overall would have followed the tone of the Cocteau film, with some added animal and fairy sidekick shenanigans as Beauty tries to discover the secret of the Beast, eventually culminating in her discovering he’s been cursed by the evil Queen Livia who seeks to marry him. The climax would be that after Beauty has broken the Beat spell by professing her love he’s whisked away by Livia to her wolf guarded home base, and Beauty and her friends have to rescue him and defeat the evil Queen once and for all, with her and the Prince escaping via Pegasus to ride off into their happily ever after (oh and with his mask I’m thinking maybe Livia gives a masked ball or something to celebrate her wedding with the Prince and Beauty crashes it).
Per the Beasts design I dont really. Ind it so much. It is a bit close to the Disney one but honestly I still preorder a composite Beast over one based solely in one animal sorry 😅 But I did find some alternatives designs for him for you!
Tumblr media
Some of these are straight up goblin-y I love it 😆

how would quirks change the media?? you have the internet, broadcasting, publishing, etc. i’m sure the news channels would be all over every villain attack and the paparazzis would be following proheroes everywhere
So I do want to talk about these, the Internet would be certainly fun to talk about, but I'm sticking to broadcasting on this one to keep things focused on one topic. And I've already talked about changes in movies, a lot of which is going to apply here.
Tumblr media
As far as the news goes, I doubt that much would change, at least as far as what is actually shown. Heroes fighting villains is pretty standard. Most villain attacks are met with the same annoyance of the train being late and are taken care of just as quickly. Unless it was a particularly big event, such as the villain attack at the USJ or Number 6's attack at the Tokyo Sky Egg, I doubt much would be said about it. That being said, I do think that there would be a lot of coverage of heroes in general. Given how in the public eye heroes are, I could see stations dedicating entire segments to heroes, like changes in the rankings or latest gossip. The paparazzi, on the other hand, would likely be just as bad as it is in real life, as seen with their constant following of heroes like Captain Celebrity. Though, considering how powerful heroes are and how dangerous their work is, I can only imagine how dedicated any member of the paparazzi would be to try and catch pictures of them.
I do believe that there would be a lot of media based around real heroes as well. I could see entire shows or even channels dedicated to featuring programming related to heroes given how big they are. They could have documentaries about retired heroes, shows discussing the current rise or fall of certain heroes, and analyses of how certain heroes are doing. I could easily see there being reality shows about them, like ones that show the days in the life of these heroes or are focused around certain agencies as they do their work. Though one I believe would happen above all others is cartoons. Considering figures like Chuck Norris, Mr. T, and Jackie Chan have all had their own cartoons, real heroes would easily translate in similar shows. I am certain All Might would have his own cartoon, and it would be total nonsense. It would have nothing to do with anything All Might is doing. It's probably going to be about him as part of a special task force with his special animal sidekick, Mighty Mutt.
As for any other kind of programming, I think a lot of it would remain the same. It's just that a lot would refocus and adjust around the evolution of Quirks, like tying it back into Quirks or heroes since those are such prevalent parts of people's lives now. Things like doing a special broadcast about the history of the world before Quirks. And since hero schools are a thing, I can only imagine someone making a CW or Disney-style show all about their lives. Occupational dramas would probably see the biggest change, at least in their concepts and plots. Things like medical dramas where certain Quirks can be the cause or solution of any number of medical complications, legal dramas that have episodes dealing with hero work, and entire shows about fictionalized heroes similar to police dramas. Which isn't even getting into the potential of stories where the protagonist has a certain Quirk. What I am saying is that if any of you have written an occupation-based alternative universe, chances are that it could have been a real show.

Hey there everyone, and welcome to night seventeen of the ninth annual Wreck-it Ralph Pin Post Month!
Tonight we have the WDI, Villains & Sidekicks, King Candy & Sour Bill, Wreck-it Ralph pin. LE 300.
This special villains pin was released by Disney Imagineering and sold at the D23 2019 Expo in Anaheim California. The Villains and Sidekicks series included twenty jumbo sized pins, each featuring a villain and sidekick duo from a different Disney animated film. This pin in particular has the classic pin-on-pin design, with a bit of glitter to make King Candy's bow tie sparkle. King Candy himself appears to be posing for a photo with a smug grin on his face, while Sour Bill peers out from behind him in disinterest.
The idea of Disney villains coming together just to hang out, talk and vent about their past exploits is always a fun idea. This expanding into group activities, such as a picture day with their sidekick makes me chuckle and grin. I can imaging their villains club house having a hall of villains where these pictures hang proudly. All to show whatever new villain that walks through the door who else waits for them in the club, and perhaps just who is in charge within the club. While King Candy certainly isn't some one time chump villain, I don't believe he'd be at the top of the villains hierarchy. Though that wouldn't mean he'd be against climbing up the ranks no matter how long it takes.

I'm sorry but I'm having way too much fun with how small the list of virgin villains are, at least compared to how many Disney villains there are (especially if you count the sidekicks) XD
Like, I'm just imagining in the Villain house, thistopic SOMEHOW got brought up, and now people have made up like a 'team virgin' and 'team sinner' group or list. And everyone's reactions to who is on which list.
I can just imagine Grimhilda is relieved that she didn't get grouped up with Maleficient of all people, but also hates the fact that she got stuck with Ursula, or any of the other villains she considers beneath her all of them
Everyone looking at Edgar like this butler actually got some!? With who!? And possibly the more mischievous/prodding villains are trying to get Edgar to reveal his secrets.
Psycho and Smartass are shocked that Stupid is NOT in the V squad with them. Probably looking right at Greasy and blaming him for this too.
Frollo is giving all the sinners the side eye and praising all the virgins that they haven't succumbed to the 'sins of the flesh' or whatever. And now the V Squad wishes they hadn't done this because now they have to put up with the judges crap.
If you counted the sidekicks, EVERYONE is in shock that they all are in the S squad. Gaston is questioning who would even glance at LeFou when he's right there, Yzma is looking at Kronk like when did you even get the time!? And Hades is just watching Pain and Panic get anxious that he'll be mad or something and he's just like whatever you guys do on your downtime ain't my business.
That's all I can think of, but I'm certain there's be so much more XDD what do you think?
I am so happy you thought that was amusing XDDD AND I LOVE YOUR IDEAS HERE!! They are fueling me XDD
Its hysterical that Psycho and Smartass immediately blame Greasy for Stupid XDDD
Also with that Frollo one- I'm just imagining Mal and/or Scar looking around like quick, someone, amend this. either fuck me or fuck him, either way get him off my team.
And- THE SIDEKICKS!! I didn't even consider them!! Omg I love your ideas though, absolutely perfect and spot on XDD Some more villains looking at sidekicks in new light XD :
Jafar to Iago: ... get off my shoulder immediately
Scar, cutting Edd off: No no no, I dont need to hear the story. Thank you...
Silver to Scroop (Not a sidekick really but i wanted to add him! ^^): ... uh... wel- Actually no, how does that work, actually? S'there a flap y' open up, or?-

Fifteen Days of Disney Magic - Number 13
Welcome to Fifteen Days of Disney Magic! In honor of the company’s 100th Anniversary, I am counting down my Top 15 Favorite Movies from Walt Disney Animation Studios! Today’s entry is the source of Disney’s Anthem. Number 13 is…Pinocchio.
Tumblr media
“When You Wish Upon a Star, Makes No Difference Who You Are…” I don’t know how many people now would place this film so high in their personal rankings, but in animation circles, “Pinocchio” is considered not only massively important, but also a massively impressive feature, on an artistic level. This was Disney’s second full-length animated movie, and the whole conceit of the project seems to be, “Go big, or go home.” Nearly everything that made “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” impressive seems to be “upped” in this feature. The music in “Snow White” is charming, but “Pinocchio” is home to Disney’s Anthem. The illustrative aesthetics of Snow White seem to be given an upgrade; this movie is DRIPPING with atmosphere. Everything feels so rich and detailed, with so much texture and weight to it, and the scope of the film – which has also been upped – allows for a lot more variety in the environments we travel through. As Pinocchio goes on his many adventures, we move from humble cottages to grand theaters, demented carnivals, and the vast ocean itself. The darkness has also been upped. I would argue that “Pinocchio” is at least a strong candidate for Disney’s single darkest movie ever made. At first, this may seem odd; as most people probably know by now, Disney did dumb down the story quite a lot. In the original book, things got not just disturbing but downright brutal, sometimes even gory. Not only that, but the original Pinocchio was very much a little brat: the idea of him having no conscience, in the original story, was that he was a bad seed, who had to learn how to be a good person. He was a troublemaker who had to learn a lesson. For the Disney film, the character of Pinocchio is softened up QUITE considerably: this version of the character is instead a pure innocent. He’s not inherently bad, he’s just…inherently ignorant. He doesn’t fully understand the world around him, and he’s just trying to figure it out and survive the experience. Surviving, on that note, is NOT easy for him: at every turn, Pinocchio’s very EXISTENCE is under threat. Some scenes in this film are so horrifying, they’re still named as among the scariest moments in any animated feature, or heck, any movie ever made PERIOD. Just because it’s dumbed down from the source, it doesn’t mean it isn’t still utterly SADISTIC when it wants to be.
On the note of darkness, if you’re a Disney Villains fan, then you’ll be happy to know that this movie has more major rogues in it than perhaps any other theatrical Disney feature: as the story goes on, Pinocchio and his sidekick, Jiminy Cricket, have to work their way past an escalation of increasingly nasty baddies. From the con-artists, Honest John and Gideon; to the two-faced puppeteer, Stromboli; to the diabolically disturbing Coachman; and finally to the man-eating Monstro. With each new challenge, Pinocchio learns and adapts. His courage, optimism, and perseverance ultimately see him through. On that note, what I do like about this movie – and what I think it actually achieves that is BETTER than its source material – is that it balances its dark and light elements in a very good way. For all the nasty characters, deranged visuals, and morbid scenarios…Pinocchio and those closest to him are all wholesome, funny, and loveable characters the audience can relate to and enjoy. It’s one of those stories where the darkness helps one appreciate the light a little more: after going through this crucible with these protagonists, the happy ending feels even better than expected. I imagine Don Bluth and possibly Brad Bird probably took a lot of inspiration from this film, since their movies also seem to have this wonderful blend of cynicism and positivity. Films like “Iron Giant” and “An American Tail” are also stories where the humor and joy is amplified by the dread and despair that comes with finding it. The film is equal parts inspiring and utterly insane, and if that doesn’t sound like a story I’d love…you clearly don’t know me very well, do ye, folks? ;) The countdown continues tomorrow with my 12th Favorite Disney Movie! HINT: The One That Started It All.

Joe Hills, Godmaker
“You realise you've made him a god, right?” says Scar to Joe, quietly, as they both watch Bdubs – him, and Ren, and Cleo before the pair of them looking increasingly exasperated.
“Who?” Joe's chewing on a hangnail, hardly paying attention.
It's suddenly occurred to him that he's never asked Cleo if her hair gets hungry. Working through the possible outcomes of dangling a small prey animal near her head – physical, biological, ethical, moral, interpersonal – is taking an entire hemisphere up, currently. And it's pretty hard to do anything with half a brain, let alone something as hard as paying attention.
“Bdubs.” Scar's voice goes soft when he says the name, like homemade fudge left too long on a sunny windowsill. “You know. With your whole, oh, usually kings get their power from gods, but you got yours from Bdubs. That makes him, by rights, a god.”
They both pause to watch Bdubs bow and grovel to Ren, only to round on Cleo with all the enthusiasm of a Disney villain's sidekick. He doesn't look like a god. But then, they both know that looks can be deceiving.
“A real god, or a narrative one?”asks Joe, with the air of someone who's had this sort of conversation before.
Scar hums, thoughtfully. He's not looking at Joe. He's got eyes only for Bdubs. “Is there a difference?”
Joe gives him a look. “Scar,” he admonishes. “We don't all worship stories, y'know.”
“I do not worship–” Scar sighs, and relents, possibly sensing an argument he can't win without lying. Or with lying, even. “Okay, fine. Narrative god. Mythic figure. Whatever. It's the same thing, really! Mostly. You know. Kingmaker the god, Kingmaker the myth… it's all the same…” He makes a gesture with his hands that might, in Joe's interpretation, indicate cosmic soup.
Or it might just indicate regular soup. It's pretty close to lunch time, after all. Soup sounds pretty good right about now.
Joe says none of that. What he does say is, “Oh! Like King Arthur.” He waves a vague hand at Scar's frown, in a gesture that doesn't look like soup. “Doesn't matter. Guy with a sword. He was king once, too."
“Right! Sure. Just like King Arnold. Except he's not a king, he's a god."
“Right,” says Joe, and then, “Wait. If Bdubs made Ren a king, and he's a kingmaker, then does that mean if I made Bdubs a god, I'm a godmaker?”
Scar shrugs. “Sure!” he says. “Call yourself whatever you want. Just know that if you do, though, you're probably gonna end up making more gods. All sorts of ones! Big ones, itty bitty little ones, really weird ones…”
For a moment, Joe loses himself in the blissful imagining of an axolotl god, made by his own hand – tiny, pinkish, wet and wriggling, held in his palm. He'd name it Godsalotl. No, wait. Axogodtl. Godsagodtl? No, that's ridiculous. Axo–
Then a horrible, terrible thought occurs to him.
“Wait,” he says, slowly.
In front of them, Cleo is very obviously dismissed, and Scar starts getting ready to take his turn approaching the royal throne.
Bdubs – Godubs? – is bellowing something about squabs. Joe's still not sure what that is. Squids, maybe, but wider. If he's a god, Joe supposes they can be whatever Bdubs wants them to be.
Scar looks up from unsubtly shrugging his shirt a little off his shoulders, so the front's held further open. His abs are glistening with what, on anyone else, would probably be baby oil. It's Scar, though, so Joe has to assume it's something more random – cooking oil, maybe, though he's vaguely aware that licking it to check would constitute what Cleo calls a socially unacceptable action.
“What?” Scar says, peering at Joe over his sunglasses.
“If Bdubs is a god, and he's a kingmaker, then that means Rendog's still claiming divine right of kings.” Joe sighs, heavily. “Which means I gotta dethrone him. Aw, shoot.”
“Okay, well, good luck with that!” says Scar, in the brightly cheerful voice he only uses when he's not paying any attention. “Anyway, I gotta go speak to a king and his pet god now, so, talk to you later, good byeeeee.”
And then he's gone, down the hallway and into the throne room without a backwards glance.
Joe sighs again, and squares his shoulders. “There goes work on the pinball machine for the next week,”he says, more to himself than anything. “Ah well. I can probably catch up after, with a bit of overtime. Might even be able to get Bdubs to help. …Hey, Iskall. How much faster do you reckon a god can place blocks then us regular folks?”
Iskall looks at him funny, which Joe always thinks is a little rich coming from a guy who built his own eyeball. Which he respects, entirely, but judgement seems slightly hypocritical when the man dispensing it did his own experimental doit-yourself eye surgery.
“Uhm? I don't know?” he says, voice lilting up in confused concern. “I'd have to assume a lot, though. Yes! Uhm. A lot.”
"Yeah,” says Joe, eyes slowly lighting up with possibility. His pinball machine has a bright future ahead of it, with a little touch from a god. “A lotl…”

Okay so I'm sorry for word vomiting here but I've got this AU that I've been developing in my head for the past few weeks. I call it my Disney Crossover/House of Mouse/When I say everyone loves Yuu, I’m talking about the entire Disney animated multiverse AU.
(I’m going to be referring to Yuu as she/her because of my own pronouns)
Basically, Yuu ends up working at the House of Mouse every night for extra money because Crowley sucks. She travels through a magic mirror in Ramshackle. Everyone there loves her: the (human and animal) adults think of her as their daughter, the animals love her (she’s not a beast tamer for nothing), the kids constantly want to hang out with her and even the villains have a soft spot for her (mainly because she treats them like normal people and not as villains. She’s super kind and sweet to them even when they try to scare her). Somehow, they realise that they don’t really know who she is or how she got there or anything so they ask her about it and she’s like “it’s a long story I don’t want to explain the whole thing.”
So due to either Disney Magic™ or one of Professor Von Drake’s inventions, the entire Disney theatrical animated universe watch everything that’s happened to Yuu so far in Twisted Wonderland. So obviously this would lead to lots of questions and everything but that’s not what I want to talk about. Oh no. What I’m getting to is this:
Ship Wars.
Everyone sees how Yuu has got each and every boy at NRC wrapped around her little finger and she’s literally so dense and oblivious to how positively smitten and whipped they are for her so they play a little matchmaking. Obviously The Great Seven™ would want Yuu to get with their own Twisted versions. It was unprecedented. Normally every villain knows not to get on the bad side of the Mistress of all Evil but the second she’s like “she’s my future granddaughter, my Malleus has been courting him the day they met” WWIII breaks out.
The Heroes™ are at first like “why villains though?” before realising that the boys would rather chop off a limb before they would ever think about letting Yuu get anywhere near harm and they’re like “so for their wedding, I’m thinking…” Because what’s the biggest bragging right than having the beloved Yuu getting with someone that’s based on your story.
Listen, because I have ideas™ of villains trying to get their kid (yes, they see the boys as their kids, sue them) with Yuu and the heroes being like “Are you married? No. Move over.” Simba and Nala helping Leona with ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight 2.0’ whilst Scar and the hyenas scheme in the shadows (the hyenas love Ruggie by the way. He’s an honorary member of the cackle), Aladdin and Jasmine hardcore shipping Kalim with Yuu (Aladdin to the other princes “they rode on a magic carpet and had an elephant parade. Perfect first date material right there.”) whilst JamilYuu shippers Jafar and Iago seethe, Alice may not know much about relationships but she’s got an imagination, an older sister and sees how invested the White Rabbit, card soldiers and the Queen and King of Hearts are with RiddleYuu so she’s going to help. The Dwarves hate Vil. Snow White loves everyone. She just wants Yuu to be happy. Lovable himbo tries to get Idia and Yuu together but Meg just rolls her eyes and Hades yells at him for ruining his plans. Ariel and Eric see Azul, a mer who’s fallen in love with a human and they’re like “our time has come. Sebastian, get your voice ready.” and Ursula’s like “that might be the one good idea you two have ever had”. Maleficent has been MalleYuu Shipper No1 from the start (a title that Lilia had to give up to her after a one minute stare down). She already has a room prepared for the prefect for when she visits the Valley of Thorns. Aurora, Phillip and the three good fairies think that Malleus is a sweet boy and are rooting for him.
Of course, there will be ship wars.
And don’t get me started on the battles that the villainous henchmen/sidekicks get with each other. If I have motivation, I might write something for this AU but I have a bunch of headcanons and scenarios for it. Also, Yuu is an honorary Disney Princess. She gets to sit with them at their table and has a personal invite to visit their castles whenever she wants so that they can have some girl time together. (Mulan and Merida mainly want to teach her how to use weapons and are 100000% ready to hunt down any of the boys that try to mess with her).
Listen, I love everything about this. House of Mouse was one one my favorite cartoons as a kid so i'm all on board for this. (It is an affront that the series is not on Disney+, but at least its on Youtube.)
Mickey tapping on the glass of the Ramshackle mirror: Hey, hey kid. Wanna work at my club?
All i'm thinking of is the episode where Max has a date with Roxanne and everyone swears not to embarrass him, and then proceeds to embarrass with their well intentioned attempts to make it perfect. Like dedicated Sebastian's Kiss the girl performance and setting up a Lady and Tramp style meal for them. That, but with the NRC boy of the week.
Miss Yuu: I'm going to be bringing my friend Azul this Friday. When he heard about the club he was interested to check it out for ideas for his lounge.
The entire cast of the little mermaid:
Tumblr media
There is not a speck of chill in that establishment. Sebastian's going to perform Kiss the Girl. Ariel and Eric get the bright idea to invite them to sit with them like a double date. Ursula and batting the other villains from interfering with a stick. It's a mess.
Rinse and repeat every other week with a different student.
Imagine Hades trying to teach Idia how to be a quick smooth talker to get Yuu to go out with him and its just failing miserably. Or Yuu just glaring at the Magic Mirror in the lobby.
Or ladies night at the House of Mouse, and all the princesses insist Yuu sit them and enjoy the show, and Minnie assures her she can take a break for a while. Then upon Clarabells suggestion in the episode, they do a bachelor auction, Only the Bachalors are Vil, Malleus, Leona and whoever else they could rope into it. Only all the princesses are bidding on their favorites and then giving the date to Yuu.
And like you said, everyone sort of adopts Yuu in their own way. But Goofy especially is going full dad mode for Yuu. Just comes to her defense at any moment like he does with Max and its very sweet.

Sorry for being salty, maybe I'm just disappointed a little(I used to be a Frozen fan), but the more I think the more I start to see the men of Frozen useless.
Your analyses on Hans also helped me to realize this. Anna and Elsa really need neither Kristoff nor Hans. The second you try to use them, to fit them in the possible plot of Frozen III the more you realize that it is all just turns out in an tiresome attempt to find them a place beside one of the sisters, to find them a job to do, to find them a decent role in a story of the sisters and magic and it's hard to do. It feels like it's just a duty and an effort. The latest Frozen book about the polar festival showed that it's easier to get Kristoff wounded and out of the plot for the most of the time than to find him an occupation and a place. After Frozen II Hans and Kristoff became even less than a sidekick–if you delete them it won't affect Frozen II or Frozen III in the slightest. I don't know, maybe it's a good thing like sisters before misters, but I'm cringing as I'm imagining as the directors are trying to fit Kristoff or Hans in a narrow plot box right now.
No hard feelings. You're allowed to feel whatever you want.
Well, first things first. Hans is a villain. He doesn't really count as one of the men of Frozen. And yes, if they want to bring him back, it has to benefit the main protagonists in some way because...they're the main protagonists. Unless you were doing some kind of spin-off, Hans would never have development outside Anna or Elsa.
When it comes to Kristoff, there are a few things we need to take into consideration, some things you're already alluded to, before we talk about what he could be doing in the next installment.
Kristoff is a secondary character. The film team has made it very clear that the main focus of the Frozen franchise is Anna and Elsa - even when the film focuses more on one sister, the other sister will always have major importance over any other characters. Kristoff's story will always have a secondary importance in whatever film and typically will involve his relationship with Anna in one way or another. That was always his purpose since the first film.
When it comes to novels, novelists hired by Disney are typically restricted in what they can write about. If they are always pushing Kristoff away, it's probably because the film team is still trying to figure something out with his character. They don't want a novelist giving him a backstory or a personality trait that they have to retcon or end up paying them for because it was their original idea. It's one of the reasons why a lot of novel stories and characters are not referenced in the films.
With this being said, there are plenty of stories available for Kristoff. Kristoff's past, his birth parents, The Ice Harvestor Sámi tribe, his views on becoming king, his views on Arendelle, etc. Something like his past and parents would be better suited for a t.v series or short film, but something like his views on being King could easily fit into F3 alongside a main plot.
For example, if Anna has to prove herself as Queen, or has a difficult task she needs to face, Kristoff stepping up and supporting her could easily lead to development on his part - starting out as him being nervous as to what is expected of him when he marries Anna. Thus, here the main focus is still Anna, but Kristoff is still developing on the side. Throw in a song or duet with Anna and you're good to go.
Also, it's good to note that the film team loves Kristoff and are good friends with his voice actor Jonothan Groff. They are such good friends, that Groff actually had the power to push for a personality change for Kristoff in the first Frozen film, much like Kristen Bell did for Anna - which continued into F2.
In fact, in F2, Anna and Kristoff's stories were one of the first things they knew exactly what to do with and were the easiest to develop for them. They even had to downplay Kristoff's story a bit because it was getting in the way of the main plot. This shows that it's actually very easy for the writers to write about both Kristoff and Anna. You can be sure that the first characters they are thinking about right now are Anna and Kristoff.
What they actually tend to struggle with is Elsa's story. And no, it's not because they hate Elsa or anything like that (because I know there are a lot of salty Elsa fans that love to say this). It's because she's a much more difficult character to write and she means a lot to many people for different reasons, so it's tough and stressful to get her story right without upsetting fans in the process. Anna and Kristoff are easier because they are more straightforward.
