Jason and the Three Terrors by @cdelphiki, 220k, ongoing, T. if i can get you to read one thing, let it be this. ohhh my god where to even begin, this is a fic where jason stays with the league after his dip in the lazarus pit for a little while and winds up being charged with getting damian, his cousin, and his sister out of the league safely. this fic is just so fucking good, cdelphiki always writes such seamless relationship growth and watching jason go from "im dropping these brats off first chance i get" to "im a single mother of three and i need to provide for my kids" is phenomenal. 1000/10, the writing, the kids, the relationships, please do yourself a favor and read this.

A Collision of Masks by Movaz, 169k, completed, T. !! guys. this is such a good dick grayson-centric fic. this is set in an AU where batman never joined the justice league so the justice league knows very little about batman inc. and consequently dick never joins YJ so the YJ team is tasked with checking out a new hero called nightwing in bludhaven and police officer grayson is tasked with helping the team in their investigation :) really good fic exploring dick juggling all his identities and finally gaining people he can rely on! i actually did a bind of it so you know i love this story so much

Life Happens by @cdelphiki, 176k, complete, G. ok so this fic is probably one of the most beautiful stories of growth and love i've read. its about tim and damian being transported from their world into ours where they're only comic book characters and they start to build a life for themselves here. cdelphiki is one of the most amazing authors, im currently going through all of their works, but this one has just stayed with me and i dont think anyone should pass it up. watching tim and damian grow together and seeing damian have a real childhood and just the whole concept of life happening wether you want it to or not is so beautifully done. cannot recommend enough.

Honoring Promises by LananiA3O, completed, 14k, T. okay this isnt actually a long fic, but its one of my favorite fics ever and i need it on this list. if you're like me and you love UTRH aus where instead of sticking around as red hood after bruce threw a batarang at his throat jason fucks off and disappears to live a normal life, this is for you. from dick's pov, he realizes jasons last letter was a last attempt at reaching out and stalks him until he finds out what really happened to his little brother. i think about this every day and wish it was 10000 words long

The Time Before by @cdelphiki, 80k, completed, G. at this point this is basically just a cdelphiki fic rec lmao when i said everything by them was good, i meant that shit. this is a fic where jason is sent back into time when he was 9 years old but still has all his memories from the future. he goes to bruce for help despite wanting to do literally anything else and is surprised to realize maybe everything isn't how he remembers it 10 years in the future and maybe theres a chance he can go home when hes older again. once again cdelphiki hitting me in the feels with this one, really amazing study on how time and pain can change how you perceive and remember things and also just forgiveness and fixing mistakes and accepting mistakes were made. very good, highly recommend

Beel is a absolute unit, he is made up of pure muscle and has the height to see over everyone at concerts. Alot of people are intimidated by his build and his insatiable hunger but you? You know how much of a sweetheart he is and how much he actually cares about people. He has a endless stomach but a big heart

He loves holding your hand, he likes to compare the size of your hand in his. Normally your hands are smaller then his, he likes how his hand fits nicely around yours, its easier to run his thumb over your knuckles this way. If you have the same hand size as him, he likes how nicely your hand fits with his, like a puzzle piece perfectly fitting together

Ok, this might be abit controversial but I hate how people in the fandom treat beel like he just popped out of the womb, he's been around for thousands of years and he isn't dumb. He knows what periods are, he knows what sex is, how knows how to and has killed people, he isnt stupid

That being said, this man is a absolute sweetheart when your on your period (if you have them of course). Your cramps are getting to painful for you to handle? He will ask Lucifer or solomon what medicine is best for human cramps and try and get them for you, bringing them up to your room with a hot water bottle and some of your favourite devildom treats. He doesn't like seeing you in pain so he tries to help in anyway he can, he will even hold you in his arms while he makes sure a hot water bottle is held against your lower back. He cant relate to your pain but he will definitely try and help you through them.

This man is a major cuddler, Belphie rubbed off on him. After a long day of school, working out, and trying to satiate his never ending hunger, he likes to cuddle you. His favourite way to hold you is when your head is on his chest of hidden in the crook of his neck, his arms wrapped around you as you both lay on your sides, facing eachother while his hands gently trace lines into your back. But he also likes to get held. He loves it when you lay on your back and he lays his head on your chest, your hands tangled in his hair while his arms wrap around you protectively

Food dates and picnic dates are big for him, weather it in a fancy restaurant or a Mcdonalds parking lot he will be happy along as its with you, The amount of times you've gone to a place and just heard the chef behind the line either cry or scream is quite shocking, beel does order basically 5 of each item on the menu. If your out on a town walk and pass by a new cafe or a new sweets shop, you bet your ass that you guys are stopping by and trying everything. He always makes sure you get what you want before he digs in though, making sure he try a bit of everything and get what you want before he goes to town

He takes you on flights in his demon form, he carries you bridal style before taking you on a nice flight over the beautiful castle. he will use this excuse to get some one on one time with you and boy does he love it, how you hold onto his shoulders and how your eyes sparkle with wonder and excitement as he flies you over the colourful lights of the devildom night. He loves to admire your face, he doesn't feel so hungry when he's around you, the hole in his stomach doesn't feel as big with you

Beel is a man of few words so his actions speak more. If your hungry and crave something, he will get a few portions of it and make it into a nice little food date. Your feeling sick at RAD and you have a really terrible headache, he will bring you some medicine and take you home. He will take amazing care of you but he will also expect you to treat him amazingly aswell. If he gets sick and has a terrible headache, he will want you to bring him meds and comfort him. If he's having trouble and struggling with schoolwork, he would appreciate it if you would help him even if you don't know what your doing either

Sweetheart will call you 'Your nickname' 'Sweetie' 'Sugar' 'Love'

This man loves every body type, non of them seem bad to him. Your chubby? Its just more of him to love and cuddle, he loves soft thinks. Your a normal weight? He loves the way you fit nicely in your arms. Your underweight? He loves the way he can easily carry you in his arms, but he does like to make sure to back you little snacks. You have scars, cellulite, any body marks? He finds them fascinating and loves to gently trace them with your fingers. If your not into touch, hes fine with just admiring them. Missing a limb and use a prosthetic? Stuff like that isn't really that common down in devildom so hes really eager to learn about how to help when needed, he doesn't see you any less of a person. White, black, tan, reflectingly pale, whatever colour you are, he will love you if you treat him and his family greatly

My man loves to cook with you and work out with you, he loves when you show him some of your human world recipes while he shows you some Devildom recipes. He loves it when you bake for him, if you make him his favourite flavour of cake, he will deeply appreciate you. If you dont work out, he will ask permission to use you as a weight. He will either have you sit on his back while he does push ups or he will bench press you and comment on how your weigh barley anything to him.

A longer, more in depth (9 parts all in one) terukane analysis, and/or everything i could find, compiled (one of my better pieces of work imo) ⭐️

Ok so it might be the fact that i ship them so i see alot of things they do as possibly romantic even when theres no romantic implications, but the amount of times it feels like AidaIro seems to be implying that teru likes akane is getting to a suspiciously high number. Like lets look at this from a non-shipper’s pov (or at least try😭)

Item A: teru looking at akane

Without the context that he’s looking at akane, he genuinely looks like he’s showing something of raw emotion, unchanged by his “fake persona” but a genuine reaction. Looking at this picture at face value one would assume he’s big time crushing. I mean i wouldn’t say “omg hes so in lovveee!!!” But considering he doesn’t really open up to like anyone, i think this is definitely something??

Item B: them going together on a romantic outing

Yes i did make it sound much more compelling then it actually is but cmon man. The school festival is considered a “romantic event” and these two spent the entire time hanging around the school together. Giving the excuse that "it's our job being in the student council" (which i guess it is) but in reality it was because no one wanted to come with them.

Which i mean they also did technically go on an actual date together

Teru likes talking to akane, trusts his intellect, and considers him someone he can rely on but doesn't like it when his whole world starts to revolve around aoi. My guy, that's jealousy.

He is shown to trust him and even show his back to him in multiple instances, knowing he wont hurt him, and he’s someone he can trust (lets ignore what happens on the literal next page)

Even literally being one of those “i fight alone” type of people but when akane’s there, he’s never fighting alone

Item D: not sure if thats whats happening here but im pretty sure he tried rizzing akane(?) even blushing n shit like ‘oh no mr judge im not guilty🥺💄💋’

When kou and teru were fighting, the reason teru even walked out in the first place was because of the fireworks. And whos idea was that?

i dont think i even need to break this one down. Its a picture of JUST them TOGETHER posted on VALENTINES DAY. 2/14/24. THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY THAT CELEBRATES NONE OTHER THAN ROMANTIC LOVE. Also teru’s color being used as akane’s sparkles and akane’s color being used as teru’s sparkles kinda shows that AidaIro arent just showing us two characters, they’re showing us TERU and AKANE, TOGETHER. If it really could be anyone im sure they’d put them in a general setting, but with the paired colors i’d say that says otherwise.

first off, this picture.

First lets look at hanako’s. We can see he has two drinks, both red + with strawberries, along with a red straw. While also being pictured near other red fruits.

In this picture, nene’s flower(s) are literally strawberry flowers, putting the association between strawberries + nene out there. Meaning the strawberries in his drink could be purposeful, along with the red undertones. (red being her eye color) (sorry for quality im doin this on iPhone)

Moving on to teru’s, he has one drink, being yellow-ish with pineapple on the side, and chunks in the drink itself. Whilst his straw is orange, while also being pictured around a ginormous pinapple

Like we’re supposed to associate that with something other than aoi (them talking ab how to save her at his house) or his family. Like aidairo are shoving it in your face ‘disassociate teru w aoi!!!’ He even straight up left when they started talking ab how they missed aoi at the karaoke place. (More or so when he left they started talking but ykwim) Since nene is being associated with strawberries it leaves the only other person to be akane, this also making sense also because of the straw color. (The straw being orange; akane’s rep color being orange, as nene’s is red)

also the fact that fruit is literally associated with the queer community

Before any Stolas/itz stans come to me saying I am a Blitzø stan, I'm not. I dont like Blitzø but this thought has been in my head for awhile and I gotta bring it out here.

Imagine this...

A society where Imps are seen as the second lowest class next to hell hounds where not many are able to start their own buisness.

Now Blitzø wanted to start his own killing buisness where he needs to get to the human realm. Currently its successful, but its only sucessful when he sleeps with Stolas every month for his grimore which access people in hell to the human realm.

A lot of people have already talked about the power dynamics and coercive relationship the two have so this post is mainly me talking about how Stolas was the one to force Blitzø into the relationship, whether he knew or not.

1. The reason for Blitzø to live

Lets just get this out of the way, the Grimore is the reason why Blitzø needs to run his buisness. The buisness that helps pay for his daughter and him to have a roof over their head, and their employees. Money that helps them pay for food, bills, other necessities for them to LIVE. Imps are one of the lowest classes in society, we see in previous episodes they may work as butlers for the Goetia and a not treated well.

In Full Moon Blitzø was begging for Stolas for him to do better all because he missed a bit for their arrangment. Alot of people think hes pleading because he "actually loves Stolas and wants to do better" when.... No it was more of Blitzø begging to keep the one thing that kept his buissness that he worked so hard to maintain afloat - and this was before Stolas showed him the crystal. Even if thats not what the writers intended thats not how it comes off in the show.

2. "But Blitzø started the arrangement!"

No he didnt. When Stolas took Blitzø to the bedroom when he was caught trying to steal the grimore, he thought Blitzø was going to "ravish him." HE made it sexual in the first place.

Now its been 25 years since these two last saw eachother. In that time things change and these two only interacted once as KIDS. When you are a child your personality and perspective usually changes as you grow older. What I mean by this is that Stolas being a royal, in Blitzø's mind he believes that if Stolas figured out WHY he was here sneaking around his house, there is a good chance Stolas could just kill him.

And before any of you say "But Stolas would NEVER do that 🥺"

How exactly is Blitzø suppose to know???

It's been 25 years since they lady saw each other. Stuff changes. If Blitzø thought Stolas wouldn't kill him if caught, then why didn't he just ask Stolas for the book? I mean if he knew that Stolas would willingly give him the book for the business, then wouldn't this whole arrangement like- never happen in the first place???

In his mind in this situation, Blitzø was panicking. In this situation him being sexual with Stolas was his only priority in his mind to keep himself alive.... And then later he gave Stolas pity sex.

(Which let me just say since this part is what I believe defiently what wasnt going through Blitzø's mind... But if he left with the book not giving Stolas sex, I wouldn't be suprised that Stolas would feel betrayed and then track Blitzø down to take the book back. We know he can track him down in Murder Family and Truth Seekers, so I wouldn't be suprised but yeah I just wanted to point this out.)

3. "But What about Blitzø's Exes?"

People like to bring Up Blitzø's exes to point out how he somehow screwed up in his relationship with Stolas even though it is a separate issue. And something to point out is that Dennis, a character from the Queen Bee episode, was there. He wasn't an ex, he was a fling. I wouldnt be suprised that the amount of people there are just flings. As for Verosika she has every right to hate him after he maxed her credit card, but like.... girl making a party every year about hating Blitzø isnt going to let these people get over him.

In all honesty I think Blitzø having a lot of "Exes" was just meant to make Blitzø look worse than Stolas. This is just something I wanted to get out of the way.

4. If you still think that its Blitzø's fault cuz the relationship started, let me put it in perspective like this...

(This isnt suppose to be a 100% accurate comparison to Stolas and Blitzø but this is just to set an example)

There was this couple named John and Leslie. Now John has been intrested in Leslie in a romantic way and asks her to be in a relationship. She says yes and they date for awhile. Things may or may not start out ok but later down the line Leslie starts being not a good partner. By that I mean she might be emotionally manipulative towards him or making him think that anything Leslie herself doesn't like is immediately JOHN'S fault. Apparently if we go by the HH/HB fandom's logic, John would be at fault for being abused because HE was the one who started the relationship. The fact that he had feelings for her at one point automatically means that he has to be in the relationship forever now.

Now if we go to Blitzø and Stolas, Blitzø is at fault for being in sexual coercion because he tried to not get himself (In his mind) killed by Stolas when he tried taking his book. Its his fault for not loving him when what they had was a transactional agreement that was purely business. Its Blitzø's fault for not realizing Stolas was having a serious conversation with him in Full Moon, when Stolas has never treated Blitzø like an equal in the past.

Conclusion

When going through this whole rant I wanted to put this somewhere but didnt know where:

I don't condemn thievery... but I also dont condemn coercive rape.

Just because Stolas feels bad about it does not make anything any better. Even if he didn't mean to put Blitzø in this situation, whatever way you look at it, its unhealthy. Blitzø needed the book to run his buisness that he worked hard for to LIVE. Stolas was the one who decided this whole agreement. HE was the one who put these two in this predicament. And yet this show still decides to make Stolas look like a victim.

Sylvia is a Fantastic character

Oh Sylvia!

Ever since i wrote about Wander and why hes such an important character, i wanted to write about Sylvia. But life got in the way a little..

Sylvia is such an amazing character.

Craig could have easily made her male, or made her a "typical female character" who presents in hyperfeminine ways and whatever (nothing wrong with femininity as long as it isnt forced or compulsory). But she's not, shes her own character, she's masculine, she's a bounty hunter, she's strong, she's powerful, she keeps her silly friend in check, she's serious, logical, diligent. Competitive. She's sassy, she doesn't let others boss her around. Its SO refreshing. Its SO refreshing to just HAVE a female character that FEELS like a character rather than simply "the Female".

Funny how a kids show about space can do a better job at that than even Marvel movies, huh?Its almost sad that when talking about her, the fact that she's female and that shes written like a proper character is actually refreshing. It should be the case for ALL shows, no exceptions.

Maybe she can serve as an example for new writers and show runners what to do RIGHT.

but enough about her gender!

I ADORE her dynamics between herself and other characters. I love the parallels between Her and Commander peepers in chasing around their emotional and impulsive friend/boss trying to keep them from doing silly things, yet also being complete opposites due to Her being the Bigger one in her dynamic with Wander, whereas peepers is the smaller one to Lord hater. I think its really cool!

I think episodes like "the Timebomb" or "the Family Reunion" are fantastic at deepening our understanding of Sylvia too.

She was brought up in a very rough and tough environment, feeling like she was never enough and had to compete with her older brothers at all times, fighting with feelings of not being good enough for her mother and how these feelings have caused her to be hyper competitive in instances of competition, where her feelings of little self worth are brough up if she's not "good enough", getting blinded by rage and loosing sense of what she should prioritise (which for a character that is typically so focused on logic and effectiveness is really striking. (I also ABSOLUTELY love the episode the Timebomb cause it shows how well Sylvia and Wander's friendship works?? Like the way he's able to calm her down and make sure she doesn't go crazy, similarly to how she's there for him from going crazy in episodes like "the Box") its just so sweet amd i love it smI love Sylvia so much.

When ppl say we want strong female characters WE MEAN SYLVIA!!! A WELL ROUNDED, AWESOME WELL WRITTEN CHARACTER THAT IS AN INSPIRATION!! THAT HAS FLAWS AND FEELINGS AND FEELS LIKE A REAL CHARACTER!!!! AHHH!!!! i love her :,3

ALSO! her design! I love it! I didn't mention it yet. But i really like that

sorry I can't get over/keep forgetting that episode 2 outright said that Angel was either living IN V Tower with Val or living in the studio, (Val literally says "he thinks he can work and then go home somewhere else?!" while AT home) and like

Shit man if he's willing to let Angel sleep in his house and have this weird possessive sexual obsession over him when they're not even fucking dating, and considering how large V Tower looks from outside, it kinda leads me to believe Valentino would lure a potential darling into living at his home under the guise of "oh, I have plenty of room, Angel already lives there, you'd have rides to work and a little friend ;)"

and like Valentino may entirely be correct, he DOES have more space than he knows what to deal with, and there have been employers to house their employees before, but imagine him offering you shelter at his house like night ONE and Angel's head SNAPS to look between both of you because??? Huh??? Whuh??? Val isnt nice unless he WANTS something, and Angel barely knows you, but, you've been nice all night and he can tell by looking at you that maybe you shouldn't even be "down here" AT ALL. he's risking his own safety to interrupt the conversation, "Val, c'mon, don't, they're just a kid" ( 'kid' as in you're probably still in your 20s, whereas he's been dead SINCE the twenties and is technically over a hundred years old)

but Valentino just looks at him with this fake smile, "why don't you go make me a drink Angel"

"But Val-"

"WHY DON'T YOU GO MAKE ME A DRINK ANGEL :)"

And Angel is walking away... leaving you with Valentino... telling himself that he's pathetic and worthless for not being able to help more. But.... if he's going to be trapped in that awful house with that horrible man, at least, now, being there means he can help protect you. He doesn't care if Val takes it out on him at the studio the next day; Angel makes sure you're safe and you at least get to sleep during your first night in the afterlife

when Angel runs off to the Hazbin Hotel, though, of course that means he'll take you with and he'll tell you as many horrific and humiliating stories about his experiences with Val as you need to hear until you finally listen and come with him, sneaking out once Val is asleep, potentially mayhe even "assisted" into slumber by Anthony to help you two run away. You're like his lil sibling now; he couldn't POSSIBLY leave you behind! 🥺❤️

Or worse... maybe you have to run back for something, or you're a little slower than Angel, and you get caught. "What do you think you're fucking doing?", you're spinning around, Val has woken up, Anthony is waiting outside... you risk it all to text him quickly on your phone, "he's awake. RUN" and hitting the side button of your phone just before Valentino swipes it, looking at your lockscreen with FURY because now you're HIDING shit from him TO HIS FACE

Valentino grabs you HARD by your arm and is just about to start really screaming at you asking what the fuck you're doing and. Angel appears. He could've ran away but he came back for you 🥺 he tells Valentino he was just gonna take you out for some fun and, it wasn't YOUR idea, it was his, HE convinced you to try and leave the house at night without Valentino's permission, and you have to hold your tongue in horror as Val drags him away and orders you to go back to your room, "or else!!"

You're sobbing your little heart out and his entire body hurts when he practically limps (for multiple reasons) back to your room, but, at least when you hold him and hug him and promise you'll do anything to help get both of you out of here, it helps everything feel better...
