Context: You and Riddle were having a date with each other in the maze, the date being a tea party but unfortunately got interrupted by a certain duo and Riddle blows a fuse.. but luckily! You managed to have a plan B!

Note: Here is a little something for you guys since I had this idea in mind that kinda stuck with me for a while before I decided to actually make it! So while you guys wait for the series, you can read this for now!

What was supposed to be a lovely and nice date with Riddle, turned out to be quite a mess with a certain duo coming in and stumbling upon the date…

All the Heartslabyul residents noticed their dorm leader being quite happier these days… Well, it's not like they're complaining, the happier the house warden is the better!

But it's just so weird to see him more lately with a smile instead of a frown on his face… It's as if fortune has been graced upon him.

And yes, it is as if fortune has been graced upon him because…

He gets to have a tea party date with his Rose! It's so rare for them to have a date with each other since the other one is busy and so is the other.

And this one time! One time they finally did get to spend time with one another! It's the best thing that could happen to Riddle and [Name]!

And Riddle wanted nothing more than this date to be perfect! He ordered Trey to make your favorite desserts and make sure everything was in tip-top shape for your guy's date.

After all, this is a rare occasion and Riddle wouldn't want anything to be ruined at all!

So everything needs to be perfect.

As you walked into the maze, you saw a beautiful and gorgeously organized tea party waiting for you, the beautiful roses were painted in a gorgeous shade of red, the laid-out desserts, and so much more!

As you continued to admire the preparations, Riddle was in his seat, waiting for you, and was hoping you'd like decorations.

Riddle stood up from his seat and walked towards you, he got close enough and held out his hand out for you, wanting you to take his.

You gladly took his hand and walked with him, side by side, hand in hand. You couldn't help but feel flustered at this. Riddle did so much for this date and you couldn't help but feel slightly flustered at the thought of Riddle doing so much for you.

As Riddle guided you to your seat, you sat on the chair while Riddle was also seated in his. Both of you facing each other while there were desserts, teas, and treats laid out for the both of you.

"I hope you like all of this, my Rose." He said while he slightly looked away, clearly flustered as well and wanting to know what you think of the preparations.

You looked at Riddle who had a flustered face, you cleared your throat and took his hand that was on the table and gently rubbed it.

"Of course I do! This is amazing Riddle! I love how you always put so much effort and work into all of this! You have so much dedication and I love it so much!" You said as you smiled at him while Riddle became even more red if it was even possible.

"W-well, of course! If it's for you, I wouldn't mind putting more effort and work.." He slightly stuttered and took a relieved sigh as he realized you loved the preparations.

"Let's go and start our tea party shall we?" You said before taking a strawberry tart and tried feeding it to Riddle who was now beyond flustered at this point.

As Riddle was about to eat the dessert that you were about to feed him in his mouth the both of you suddenly hear a loud crash nearby, jolting both you and Riddle of the sudden noise.

"What was that?" You asked as you looked at Riddle who looked just as confused.

"I don't know." He said as he looked kinda irritated because of the interruption.

All of a sudden, Ace was running into the maze with Deuce behind him.

"HUH." Both you and Riddle exclaimed, surprised to see Ace and Deuce in the maze. You and Riddle got up from your seats before Ace crashed into the table, sending every dessert, tea, and treat flying and making a huge mess.

Ace crashed into the table and the roses.

Deuce was panting as he realized what they both had done and apologized profusely.

"AH! We are so so sorry for interrupting!" Deuce said before trying to get Ace out of the roses.

You looked at Riddle and slightly jumped back on how his face was red, he looked like he was about to blow a fuse! Deuce managed to successfully get Ace out but both had met with Riddle's wrath.

"WHY ARE YOU BOTH HERE?!?!" Riddle shouted as the duo flinched.

"D-dorm leader, we can explain-"

"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!"

"RIDDLE NO!"

To say the least, it was quite a disaster, Deuce and Ace got collared and the date was now in ruins, and Riddle was now sulking and you tried to comfort him with the best of your abilities.

"Aw Riddle, it's fine! We can go ahead and spend time together somewhere!" You said optimistically, but Riddle was still sulking and you patted his back.

"I'm so sorry [Name]… The date is ruined because of those idiots…" Riddle said, emphasizing the idiots.

"Now now Riddle, there's always a next time you know?" You said as you continued to pat his back.

You suddenly heard a squeak and looked down to see a small hedgehog trying to get your attention, it pawed your leg as you cooed at the little hedgehog and bent down slightly, and stretched your hand out towards the hedgehog as it gladly jumps on your hand.

"Aw, aren't you so adorable?" You said as you lightly patted the hedgehog who purred and you suddenly got an idea.

"Hey, Riddle! I think I got an idea of how to continue our date!" You exclaimed excitedly and Riddle looked at you, confused, and looked at the hedgehog as well.

"Huh? [Name] what do you mean? And why is that one out of its cage.." Riddle said but you put your finger on his mouth to shush him so that he can hear you out.

"We can always spend time together with the hedgehogs you know? Taking care of them like they are our children!" You said as you held out the hedgehog towards Riddle.

The hedgehog looked at Riddle, curiously before squeaking that sounded like it was happy, and Riddle who was now flustered at the thought of taking care of the hedgehogs with you like it was your children together.

"So come on Riddle! Let's go to where the other hedgehogs are!" You said before carefully placing the hedgehog in Riddle's hand and held his other hand gently before walking to where the other hedgehogs were.

"W-wait [Name]!" Riddle said but quickly shut his mouth, he dared not to say anything else as you looked too happy with a smile on your face, he couldn't help but smile as well.

The first date might be ruined, but there can always be a plan B~

It had been just like any other weekend in Idia’s room. Idia sat at his computer, typing away at coding to improve his brother’s capabilities, while you laid on your stomach on Idia’s bed to the left. Ever since the two of you started dating, weekends had just been you relaxing from taking care of Grim by sending Grim to Heartslabyul and you hiding away in Ignihyde, just being an honorary resident at this point with how many people recognized you whenever you walked over with your overnight bag. And just like any other late night, Idia needed a midnight snack.

“Hey, babe,” Idia’s breath hitched when saying babe, an awkward pause between the A and second B got stuck in his throat when he tried out calling you a pet name for the first time, “can you buy me Sunchips and a Monster from the vending machine?”

What prompted Idia to think about doing this? Idia and you had been dating since the both of you came back from Winter Break (after a very confused self-reflection during the week, and some yelling and talking it out when he came back to campus), and nothing much of your relationship had changed besides that hugs weren’t as embarrassing and you allowed yourself to kiss Idia whenever you wanted. Idia wanted to do something for the relationship, instead of letting you take the reins, he thought. Another part of him thought that maybe this was too normie and absolutely cringe. After all, in games and sometimes he heard people on campus call each other by pet names at lunch and–ugh, definitely cringe. He coped and told himself that it was “leveling up” the relationship.

Silence to the left of Idia and his desk. Idia mechanically turned his swivel chair towards his bed, pressing his lips together in a tight line, not letting any embarrassment seep out to look at your face.

If your eyes could pop out of your head, now would be the perfect time for it to happen. By the time Idia looked at you, your eyes were already wide, blinking rapidly as you frantically looked side-to-side as if there was anyone else in the room that Idia could refer to. Of course, who else would Idia be referring to?

Idia watched as the red creeped onto your cheeks and spread to your whole face. Nice. Idia smiled, no doubt his toothy grin turning into a smirk as he watched you, flustered and trying to compose yourself. “Is something wrong? Doesn’t look like you were in the middle of a rhythm game or anything.”

“I, uh,” you picked up your phone once, glancing at it, put it back down, then picked it back up again, probably checking if that moment was real and not some hellish dreamscape. You breathed out slowly, calming yourself, though the blush never left your face. You slid your phone under the pillow you were using, and slowly smiled. “What was that, honey? Didn’t hear you the first time.”

Oh fuck. The edges of Idia’s hair no doubt turned that wonderful shade of pink as his smirk turned more into a lopsided smile. He was sure he was blushing too, based on the warmth he felt from his body. He tugged at the ends of his jacket. “Haha, I know you heard me, but babe, could you get me some chips and drinks from the vending machine? I’ll give you the money.” If you were going to turn this into a game, then Idia wouldn’t lose.

And so it did turn into a game. For the whole week after, the two of you only called each other by increasingly more disgusting pet names you two could think of and search for on the internet.

“Sweetie.”

“Baby.”

“Dear.”

“Darling.”

“Love.”

“Your highness.”

“Dreamy.”

“Shrimpy.” You didn’t like this one, probably because only Floyd called you that when you didn’t ask, and Idia received the hardest punch to the stomach he’s ever gotten from his partner before. (You apologized and gave lots of kisses afterward.)

“Widdle kitty.” Idia tickled you in response. That one was just a low blow to cringe Idia said before, and how had you heard him say that? It wasn’t like you were near him when he was talking about Leona during Halloween… How dare you call him that? (Idia didn’t apologize at all.)

“Hey… isn’t Gloomy and you using ‘shi’ enough?” It was the weekend again, and once again you lied in Idia’s bed, hugging a pillow to your stomach and kicking your feet in the air. “We keep trying different pet names but like… Gloomy is a nickname already, technically…”

“Hmm, I dunno. I think you kinda liked the time I called you ‘your highness.’”

“Shut up, shut up, shut up.” You buried your face into the pillow you held onto, and muffled through the pillow said, “I did, but man…” You raised your head up and looked to Idia. “Did you like any that I came up with?”

“Maybe the more normal ones? But it def felt cringe the whole time.”

You groaned and threw your head back into the pillow. “Sorry, I guess Gloomy and Idia works just fine, huh?”

Idia chuckled and lifted himself from his seat and climbed over his sulking partner. “I’m sorry, did you want to call me something too,” he flipped you over onto your back, “or were you fine with just being my highness?”

The constant onslaught of pet names throughout the week must’ve made Idia’s resolve stronger, because there was no way he would normally say that kind of line. Idia thought he might’ve cringed on the inside, but damn did he say it.

Idia didn’t even know that people could turn this shade of red, and you looked like a beet. Better not to comment on it.

You stammered away, barely getting any sound out, much less actual words, before you pulled the pillow up to cover your entire face. “Shut up, cringe alert,” you said, muffled through the thick pillows that you forced Idia to buy.

Idia hummed in amusement, then pulled the pillow down, and landed a quick kiss to your forehead before crawling off the bed to sit at his computer. If the sound of you kicking your feet meant anything, it meant Idia had won this battle. Nice. Relationship leveled up.

Author's note: Day 19 of Promptober. Enjoy!

Cater lays in bed, his ginger locks in clunks after a fresh shower. His green eyes glance dully at the bright screen by his side, his phone a kaleidoscope of artificial text messages with emojis and expressions he could fake in a day. He would continue the facade, fabricating smiles, sending selfies to friends whom he would talk to, kiss up to those he admired, or even have a day out with a “friend”. Today, he wasn’t feeling it, completely drained to even reply to a text message. 

His thumb hovers over [Reader]’s name on his contact list, part of him wanting to reach out and talk to them, a part of him not wanting to. His mind elsewhere, he clicks on their name on the contact list. 

“Hey, this is [Reader]’s voicemail. If you hear this voicemail, this means I’m not available or the line is busy. If you need to reach out to me, I’ll make sure to call you back as soon. Bye!” 

Cater quickly hangs up the call, his spirits quite lower than before. 

Sure, part of him was delighted to hear [Reader]’s voice from the other side, but it wasn’t them at all. He peers at the time on his phone.

It’s too late for them anyway. 

Downcast, Cater found himself in the solace of a bright screen in the midst of darkness, flipping through videos and posts of happy-go-lucky strangers with bright smiles wider than his. Rather than feeding from this energy, he was getting more tired. He meanders to [Reader]’s social media profile, imbibing aesthetic and sometimes silly pictures of them and friends; some of them pictures with the first years, some of them with Cater and [Reader], a museum of memories that even Cater cherished. Videos and reels of [Reader] fill his feed, Cater reliving what seemed to be memories that they had experienced. Their smile and laughter infectious to him, he finds himself smiling before his glowing phone, cherishing every second of their happiness. 

I want to see [Reader] again. 

He had to correct himself - listen to them again. 

The quiet of the Heartslabyul dorm during the late hours was deafening - not a voice to be heard save for the occasional snores from the other residents. Cater was desperate; he needed to hear [Reader]’s voice to calm himself down from his own impending thoughts. One more minute, and he would succumb to the darkness with those disturbing thoughts of loneliness. 

He tries again, activating [Reader]’s voicemail once again. 

“Hey, this is [Reader]’s voicemail. If you hear this voicemail, this means I’m not available or the line is busy. If you need to reach out to me, I’ll make sure to call you back as soon. B-!” 

In the last seconds of the voicemail, Cater was startled to hear a click on his end, following [Reader]’s tired voice. Just the sound of the sheets rustling on their end and their soft greeting was enough to revitalize his mood once more. 

“Cater?” 

Bless the Seven, Cater nearly cried, quickly scavenging remnants of his cheery demeanor before responding to [Reader]. 

Please, just a moment with you. Just a moment to listen to you and your voice. Tell me a silly story, something that happened today, anything. 

He disregards those intrusive thoughts, forming the only words he could think on the spot. Perhaps, just a few seconds of their time wouldn’t hurt; that would simply be enough for him. 

“Oh, sorry! Did I wake you up?”

During my reign as Heartslabyul housewarden, no student of this dorm has ever dropped out or been held back a grade. ♣️ Riddle, Dorm Uniform SSR Vignette, Part 1.

                                 BUT—how good of a student is Trey, really?

I. PRE-NRU.

Trey Clover has historically had a full plate of expectations, and schoolwork generally took a backseat to any other obligations he had. Trey’s never been a bad student, per say, but an average one: report cards marked with Cs and Bs, graduating square in the middle of his class in high school. His grades did improve marginally during his senior year—he needed to stay competitive for culinary programs, after all—although they were fighting with a persistent bout of senioritis and general life frustration.

Generally, he was well-liked by his teachers and peers, although not particularly noteworthy. While he was part of an after-school soccer club in elementary school, and spent some time in middle school in an academic science club, Trey did not have any extracurriculars to speak of in high school. Instead, his afternoons were spent helping run his family’s patisserie.

II. NIGHT RAVEN UNIVERSITY.

Let it be known that Heartslabyul’s expectations of academic excellence get results: ever since enrolling, Trey’s grades and average have improved, as well as his own study techniques. Let it also be known that he puts in more effort to maintain his grades now, as he’s expected to set a good example. With an occasional C in some areas still exist, he’s a solid B-average student, with As popping up in the classes he’s taken a particular shine to.

III. GENERAL EDUCATION.

ARTS. ★☆☆☆☆

Trey is not terribly good at drawing, and only marginally better at literally painting the roses. He’s never been in any sort of dance lessons, and it definitely shows in his coordination. He does have the potential to improve on the dancing front (see: he DID commit to Starsending) but that is extenuating circumstances. He cannot improvise on dance to save his life. D-.

HISTORY. ★★★☆☆

Excellent at Queendom history—partially because it tends to get drilled into its residents’ heads pretty thoroughly—but sometimes Shaky on everyone else. He finds history classes easy to study for, at least, so he’s rarely ever sweating. B.

LITERATURE. ★☆☆☆☆

Not a writer in the least. Creative writing is a special sort of hell; poetry is near-incomprehensible to him. A fan of reading for pleasure on subjects that interest him, but terrible at keeping his attention on assigned readings. Greatly prefers nonfiction to fiction. F.

MATHEMATICS. ★★★★☆

Finally, a subject that makes sense to him. While not particularly keen on having to do more advanced calculations (no enthusiasm for calculus, for example) algebra and statistics came fairly easily once he learned. A-.

MUSIC. ☆☆☆☆☆

Trey could not carry a tune if you handed him the bucket. F.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION. ★★★☆☆

Actually does enjoy light exercise and moving his body, and secretly has a penchant for team sports. Trey really did enjoy his time on a soccer team. That being said, he tends to not quite click with the more sporty types, and so has never pursued an interest much. B-.

SCIENCES. ★★★★★

What is cooking if not a science, after all? Trey’s always loved his science classes, even more if there’s a lab component. There’s not a single facet that Trey doesn’t find fascinating to some degree, and he took as many as possible throughout his high school career in lieu of other electives. A+.

IV. UNIVERSITY CURRICULUM.

ALCHEMY. ★★★★★

It’s science, with 100% more magic. Trey took to his alchemy classes immediately, eagerly taking as many adjacent electives as allowed. It directly led to him joining the science club as a first year. A+.

ANIMAL LANGAUGES. ★☆☆☆☆

Took as a freshman elective, as caring for the Heartslabyul flamingos and hedgehogs is a task often foisted onto freshman outside of the chore rotation, and he figured it might help. As it turns out, he’s not very good at it, and what he does still understand is generally unkind. The flamingos can be right dicks sometimes. D-.

ANCIENT CURSES. N/A

Never had a chance to take this elective, but he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t a little curious.

ASTROLOGY. ★★☆☆☆

Only taken when Cater is in the class with him. He gets by decently enough, but a lot of the star-reading goes over his head and doesn’t quite click as believable. C-.

BIOLOGY. ★★★★★

It’s fascinating to learn about all the different ways magic can affect living things. A.

CHANGES AND COMPARISON OF ABBREVIATED SPELLS IN ANCIENT AND MODERN MAGIC HISTORY. ★★★☆☆

Trey had no idea what exactly this elective was while making his schedule, but he signed up for it. He’s doing okay. B+.

CONJURATION. ★★★★☆

Occasionally has issues performing high-level conjurings, as there’s a certain amount of imagination and spatial reasoning involved that’s not quite playing to Trey’s strengths, but generally does well. Tends to find the required readings a bit dull. B.

DEFENSE MAGIC. ★★★★☆

His personal specialty when it comes to combat-focused spells. Rarely any issues, but not the best in his class. B+/A-.

HISTORY OF MAGIC. ★★★★☆

Threw himself into this class freshman year to try and keep up with more magically-inclined peers. A lot of overlap with general education curriculum, so easy enough, but magical history classes tend to be lowest on the priority of homework, and so sometimes last-minute rushing is necessary. B.

PRACTICAL MAGIC. ★★★★★

Admittedly a large learning curve for him, but once he learned the fundamentals, it’s become easy. Trey has a particular finesse to guiding his magic, now, and while he doesn’t show it off often, he’s gotten very good at doing rather delicate work with magic. A.

MAGIC ANALYSIS. ★★★☆☆

Some of the higher-level classes have been a struggle, but generally he’s passing. The writing component to these classes is endlessly frustrating to him. B-/C+.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION. ★★★★☆

Taking flying as his PE credit. Actually pretty good at it, but finds Coach Vargas more than a little annoying, so tries to downplay his talents. B-.

POTIONOLOGY. ★★★★☆

Deeply enjoys experimenting with potionology, but ultimately his magical science pursuits are elsewhere, and so tends to not experiment too wildly. B+.

POISON MAKING. N/A

Kind of sad he didn’t take poison making, it sounds like a great class.

Rook with a hat that looks just like the one he usually wears, but it's colored red and has two-three super puffy fluffy white feathers..... Someone makes him put on a bug beard to look like Santa

Something tells me Ignihyde (and Diasomnia probably) will decorate their dorms with goth Christmas stuff, think of the aesthetics in The Nightmare Before Christmas

Sam has special discounts for thermos, hot chocolate, and tea, all to help the young boys keep warm. He also has warm beverages ready, giving a wonderful discount to the students that buy/bring their own container to get their serving on

Anyone who has friends in Savanaclaw and Scarabia always makes up an excuse to spend the entire evening in those dorms. The weather is always warm, better than freezing in the dorm they were actually sorted into

The cafeteria ghosts that prepare the school's buffets make sure to offer some holiday special foods. The deserts and meats are coveted by the student body, they are MH-MH~ TASTY 😋💯

Crewel gives candy canes, peppermint patties, peppermint nougat to students that answer correctly to his alchemy questions and ace his quizzes

If the classrooms are decorated with ornaments and garlands, Lucius will often be seen swiping and playing with them (and it also leads Grim to get distracted by the pretty, shining, swinging ornament lol)

Heartslabyul often makes lots of extra tea and offers it to other dorms that also have to face harsh winters

Savanaclaw and Scarabia prepare nooks in their dorms so other-dorm students can hang around and warm up on. They also offer little snacks and water bottles (bc you gotta keep hydrated!)

Octavinelle often makes special offers in the Lounge for Ignihyde and its own residents. The students in both these dorms tolerate low temperatures super well and are the more common costumers during winter (I headcanon Ignihyde being on the cooler side)

Pomefiore students have the fashionable winter apparel, while those who hail from the colder parts of Pyroxene have the best and most useful winter wear

Also, some of the students that know how to knit take commissions/sell their creations to help keep peeps warm. There's always someone who makes special hats for beastkin students

Idk where this one fits and why I thought of this, but many Diasomnia/Valley of Thorns students know how to make quilted blankets. They are suuuper soft, warm, pretty!

Sleepovers are common during this time of the year because of the cold and due to the overall cheer winter brings. Holidays and school break to look forward to, of course the students are excited! Plus, sleepovers also mean helping each other complete final assignments.... Complete final projects means more free time, thus more cheer!

You will often hear lots of laughter and shouts in these sleepovers bc students play videogames and board games.... it gets heated

Let us begin our tale~

You slowly awoke to the muffled noise of people talking. You then heard something in front of me move and you slowly opened my eyes to see a boy with forest green hair and yellow eyes. He also was wearing glasses and had a black three clover under his left eye.

“A girl?” Another boy with orange hair and green eyes with a red diamond under his right eye peered over the green-haired boy.

“OH! You must be Clow Reed’s recommended student!” An older man came over as the green-haired guy helped you down the coffin.

“Clow Reed?”

“A recommended student?”

“Is she the only girl attending?” Many whispered.

“Yes, I’m [Reader] Kinomoto,” You bowed and turned to the green-haired boy. “Thank you for helping me,”

“Ah, no worries,” The green-haired boy waved off your thanks. “I’m Trey Clover, Vice-dorm leader of Heartslabyul and a third year student,”

“And I’m Cater Diamond, also a third year student and resident of Heartslabyul, you can call me Cay-kun or Cater-senpai!” Cater interrupted. You bowed to the two third year students.

“And I am your headmaster Dire Crowley, welcome to Night Raven College, I have high hopes for you!” Headmaster Crowley looked around and mumbled, you probably did not meant to here that but Crowley was standing near you, “It seems like we are missing someone,” He turned back to you and the others, “Anyway, Kinomoto-san head over to that mirror over there to get sorted to your dorm,” And with that, Crowlay walked away to find the missing student.

“Well, Kinomoto-chan, this way to the mirror!” Cater followed by Trey led you to the mirror that will sort you to your dorm.

“IS THAT A GIRL?”

“Wow, she sticks out like sore thumb,”

“She’s pretty cute,”

“Is the school changing to a co-ed?”

“But there doesn’t seem to be any other girls,”

“Didn’t you hear? She’s Clow Reed’s recommended student,”

“Clow Reed?”

“What!? But she looks really delicate,”

You can hear the many whispers of the other students. You recalled the conversation between you and Eriol Hiiragizawa, Clow reed’s reincarnation, about Night Raven College.

“Have you decided on what high school you will be attending, [Reader]-chan?” Eriol asked.

“Not yet,” You replied.

“Then can I recommend you one?”

“Sure?”

“There is this school in another dimension but we can say that you went to study abroad. It is called Night Raven College,”

“Night… Raven…College” You repeated the school’s name, you paused at the last word. With your average english ability, you know that college means post secondary school, a school after high school. “But aren't colleges post secondary school?”

“That dimension follow the British education system, they call high school college,”

“Oh”

“The college is a normal secondary school plus magic. I worry about your magic growth and I hope that you attending that school will help slow your exponential growth,”

“But going to another dimension is very far, Eriol,”

“Do not worry, Li-san will attend their sister school, Royal Sword Academy,”

“Why is Syaoran going to a different school than me?”

“Royal Sword has a sword training curriculum,” You humed. You thought over Eriol’s suggestion and then thought back to Syaoran’s concern about how fast your magic was developing.

“I think I will accept,”

“Alright” Eriol smiled and you can see his relief.

In front of you was a large mirror and in that mirror was a mask entity that had details about the eye holes.

“State your name.” The mirror bellowed.

“I’m [Reader] Kinomoto,”

“[Reader]...The nature of your soul is.........Diasomnia.”

“DIASOMNIA!?”

“That poor girl,”

“Oh, it looks like Kinomoto-san will be joining us,”

“What luck, there will be a cute girl at our dorm,”

“Diasomnia?” You repeated in a mumble.

“DIASOMNIA!?” Cater yelled in surprise. You turned to Cater in confusion. Trey, noticing your confusion, explained about the dorm.

“Diasomnia was founded on the elegance of the Thorn Witch,”

“And the dorm’s architecture is built in a gothic style which makes the atmosphere gloomy and creepy,” Cater added.

“If you want more information, why not ask your vice-dorm leader,” You turn to look at the new voice only to get a face full of an upside down boy with black hair and pink highlights, he also had red eyes that shine with mischief. You also noticed his sharp fangs when he smiled at you when you took in his appearance. Trey and Cater flinch in surprised.

“I’m Lilia Vanrouge, the vice-dorm leader of Diasomnia,” As Lilia introduced himself, he turned right side up and bowed when his feet touched the ground. “I’m also a third year student, though,” Lilia eyed the entrance to the mirror room. “You will have to meet the Dorm leader later at the dorm,”

“I am [Reader] Kinomoto” You bowed in respect. “It is nice to meet you, Vanrouge-senpai,”

“My~ What a respectful young girl~” Lilia grabbed your right hand and gave it a kiss. You, Trey, and Cater stared in surprise.

“I assumed Draconia-san’s notice got lost again,” Trey was the first to recover. Lilia turned to look at Trey and nodded, he let’s go your hand.

“Yes, it seem so,”

“We're done with orientation and dorm assignments? All right, new students—let me be clear. At Heartslabyul House, I am the law. Break the rules, and it's off with your head!” Red-haired boy stated. Interrupting the surrounding conversation, everyone turned to look at the red headed boy.

“It seems that the orientation is coming to a closed,” Lilia turned his head to look at Trey and Cater, “Trey-san, Cater-kun, good day,” He turned to you, “[Reader]-chan, follow me or not” He shrugged and slowly walked away to head presumably to the new Diasomnia students. You stared at Lilia back in confusion.

“Vanrouge-san is…. Quite eccentric,” You commented. Cater grinned while Trey shrugged.

“Well, see you later, [Reader]-chan!” Cate waved.

“Yeah, see you later, [Reader]-san,” You nodded to the two then walked towards where Lilia headed. Cater and trey head towards the red hoar boy from earlier.

“*Yawn* Well, that ceremony was as boring as ever. I'm going back to the dorm. If you're in Savanaclaw House, follow me.” A boy with lion ears said. You watched his ears twitch and his tail flicked as he talked. It reminds you of Kero, who was in your luggage, and you realized that you could have brought him with you as no one would freak out at a small talking lion who looked like a plush keychain.

“New students! Allow me to be the first to congratulate you on your achievement.

As dorm leader of Octavinelle House, I am honored to have the opportunity to support

you in what I hope will be a fulfilling campus experience.” A boy with glasses congratulated the new students. You instantly can tell he is shady.

“Hey, does anyone know where the Headmaster went? He disappeared midway through the ceremony…” A handsome boy asked. You noted that he looks like a fairytale prince.

“Some Headmaster he is.” A voice said from a floating table. You tilted your head in curiosity but Lilia waved to you so you continued to head towards Lilia.

“Maybe he had a tummy ache?” A boy with red eyes questioned. His enthusiasm reminds you of Tomoyo.

“I most certainly did not!” Crowlay came in holding a cat that reminds you of Spinel Sun minus the flames out of their ears and pitch forked tail.

“Ah, speak of the devil.” The red-haired boy spoke.

“If you must know, I was searching for the new student who'd failed to show up for orientation.” Crowley explained then turned to the black-haired boy who sticked out as he was the only one not wearing a robe. “You are the only one who has yet to be assigned a dorm. Step up to the Dark Mirror, and be quick about it. I'll watch your weasel.”

“Grrrrr!” The cat struggled. The black-haired boy walked up to the mirror.

“State your name.” The mirror bellowed.

Disney: Twisted Wonderland - Spotify playlists :: Heartslabyul :: Part 1

Because I really like (not like, more like love) playing TWST (so much so, I made a blog about it 😅) and also love listening to different genres of music, I made some playlists for each dormitory on Spotify. I have also made a playlist for the 1st year gang, for the whole school and even for Yandere!TWST AU (because why not 😌?).

Today, I have decided to share the songs that I have put onto these playlists, while at the same time explaining a bit why I chose these specific songs (the explanations vary for each song).

Because there are a lot of songs to go through, this will be divided into two parts.

As you can see from the title, the dorm that I will be talking about is, of course, Heartslabyul. You can find the whole playlist right here:

⚠️ Warning ⚠️ : The songs themselves might have some triggering content for some such as mentions of daydreaming and escaping reality. Some songs also mention a lot of violence, sexual innuendos and abuse.

But overall the post is SFW (slight thirsting for the characters, but I still keep it clean 😁)

The first song that I chose for this playlist is Wonderland by Caravan Palace. The whole song is referencing Alice in Wonderland, more specifically Alice's wish of a "wonderland", where she can escape reality. I linked this song with Riddle Rosenhearts, because the singer's (or subject's) wish/desire is to have a "wonderland", where she has power and control over. Riddle is the head of Heartslabyul, and is therefore the one who controls and holds power of it and its residents. Not only that, but I also like to think that Heartslabyul is Riddle's "wonderland". A place where he can escape his mother's control and do as he please.

Queen of Hearts by Royal Scandal

This song is pretty explanatory....😅 There is even a MV of this with the Heartslabyul members... Just imagine Yuu (or your own OC) going to the dorm and the characters sing this 😳... Yeah... It would be epic! Especially if this was around the 1st Episode of the game, where we first are introduced into the dorm and MC, Ace and Deuce are get chased out of it because we don't have a tart to compensate and Riddle saw us and ordered Trey and Cater to chase us while singing: "Yes, your majesty, I cut out my heart for you". -- Does this part of the song make me crazy 😳 for Trey and Cater in bunny masks, yes it does.... I am one thirsty b*tch

What makes this song even more worthy are the translated lines from the songs Wiki that describe how the dorm is (in my opinion):

"In here everyone is obscene (dirty)"

As many of us know most (if not all) of the dorm's members hide their true self. Cater is seen always smiling, but from time to time we can see his exterior falling and reviling a more depressed character. Trey show a more caring, nice and normal personality, but his personal stories show us that Trey is more twisted than he lets on. Ace is a trickster and liar on the surface, but his heart is more honest than he lets on. Deuce tries to be a model student (If that is what it's called), but his delinquent personality shows up from time to time. Riddle at first is hard to detect, but by the end of Episode 1 that Riddle wants to socialise and be friendly with others. He is curious at heart.

"A feast despite the lack of even a birthday"

Unbirthday party - A tradition in the Heartslabyul dorm

"Anyone and everyone, when they paint lies with lies, You can see beneath their disguise"

This references both the painting of the roses, but also the first line I presented.

Heads Will Roll -A-Trak Remix by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

The only reason I chose this song is because it resonates with Riddle's UM [Off With Your Head]. This song also makes me chant (on my head) "Off with your head" multiple times a day (just like Riddle 🤪)

Mad Hatter by Melanie Martinez

My all time favourite song 🎵 🤩🎵! Again, just like most of the songs I have in this playlist is a reference to Alice in Wonderland!!! I'm sorry OK!? Don't worry tho, there are some songs, by the end of this that is not a reference to the book or movies 😅

Now, to the lyric and some small explanations (if any):

"We paint white roses red"

"Each shade from a different person's head"

This references to the dorm members having to paint the roses red, whenever the dorm requires it. The other line I like to link it with Riddle's UM. While Riddle doesn't actually cut other people's heads (unless we are talking about Yandere!Riddle or a Serial Killer!Riddle), I like to think that the second line is referencing more to the thought that there are so many people that are having their head "cut" and Riddle accumulating more and more blot.

"I'm peeling the skin off my face"

"'Cause I really hate being safe"

"The normals, they make me afraid"

"The crazies, they make me feel sane"

These lines basically say how the subject is showing their true self, not caring how others perceive them. By being "normal", the lyric suggests that one is hiding their true self. This correlates with the dorm members. I have explained this in Queen of Hearts by Royal Scandal.

Mad Hatter not only shows the character stripping their façade, but also embracing it throughout the song. I like to think that the Heartslabyul dorm do embrace and accept their "craziness". But because they are in NRC its better to keep a low profile 🤨 and not show any weaknesses (ie. true self). Being normal is a good defence tool in this case. Of course when the time requires it, they will not hesitate to show off their craziness.

The Bakery by Melanie Martinez

This whole song is for Trey Clover, vice dorm leader!

I chose this song, because it reminds me how Trey makes tons of sweets for the dorms, especially on Unbirthday parties. For me these lyrics shows the repetitive motion of making sweets all the time.

"Pack it, box it, flip it, top it"

"With a bow, tie ribbon, stop it"

"Eatin' all the rainbow cookies"

"Pies are flying through the roof"

If we are making the songs lyrics to be Trey's perspective of things, then there are references to Riddle also (or how Trey sees Riddle's actions, and how he evades Riddle's UM on some ways 🧐). The lyrics showing this are:

"My boss is mother Mary"

In this case the boss is Riddle Rosehearts

"Catch me slippin' through concrete"

Reference to Trey slipping in some way or form from Riddle's UM or rule, I guess.

"Little mess up and she's angry"

This is a reference to Riddle's perfectionism

"One downfall, she blamed the whole team"

I like to think of this as the moment Riddle overblots

Yeps. The song is amazing. When I first heard it Trey just crossed my path 😤.

Comics by Caravan Palace

I have no idea, why this song is here. When listening to the song there doesn't seem to be anything relating to the actual dorm. It's just me that like this song 😅. I saw the MV for this and I was like, yeah ok, this looks like someone is controlling a society and everything looks too perfect to be true. Bam, revolution and people are taking back their identities. And this whole thing is referencing to pre- and after Riddle's blot, because why the heck not!

Oh No! by MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS

This song mostly makes reference to both Riddle Rosehearts and Deuce Spade, but also makes a slight reference to Cater Diamond. These references are shown in these lines:

"Don't need money, don't need fame"

"I just want to make a change"

This is a reference to Deuce wanting to be a model student, but as well as his wish to be a cop.

"One track mind, one track heart"

"If I fail, I'll fall apart"

This is definitely Riddle, I feel. His need for control, order and perfectionism.

"If you are not very careful"

"Your possessions will posses you"

I like to think of this as both a reference to Cater's dependency on using social media and also Riddle being possessed by his way of thinking.

"TV taught me how to feel"

"Now real life has no appeal"

Again, a reference to social media influence on Cater.

Flamingo by Kenshi Yonezu

All I think when I hear this song is Cater Diamond. And the only reason for this are these lines (you can find the translations of the whole song in this site), that I personally think fit Cater a lot.

"In truth I'm confused, impulsive, and exposed as a simpleton"

God this song makes me want to both cry and dance at the same time 🥲. But that just means that the song is a damn good one 🙃.

Mama Hates You by Ck9c

This song - in TWST language - just means Riddle's mother issues 👀. This whole song makes me imagine Riddle's childhood with his controlling mother and Riddle wishing to get away from her.

Lyric such as:

"Mama's here"

"I'm doing the best I can"

"Can't play now"

"I'm doing all you demand"

"Keeping you happy"

..

"Mama Scary"

"Mama's listening"

and..

"She's watching"

"Over us now"

"Be wary"

"Her ears are sharp"

Could be interpreted as Riddle's mother being really controlling and watching over all Riddle's actions and Riddle trying his best to please her, in order not to be punished.

The songs chant of: "No more mama", throughout the song is just Riddle wishing to be free from her.

nope. Nope. NOPE. not in his life ever going to face Riddle or his punishments again after he ran off many times before the tea party had began. Gale have known Riddle how strict and terrifying he was since the day of first year with him. He’d gone avoiding Riddle throughout his year. Felt sorry for breaking most important articles of Heartslabyul by crying & hiding most times but down right knows they are harsh consequences like wrapping a collar around his neck. Nope. He’s too scared to let that happen to him that he was planning to waited long in the rose maze letting everyone to forget about him. Riddle has almost forgotten about him for a long time and once he did remembered missing Gale, He’d be the one looking for him entirely around the dorm then dragged the crying Gale back to their common room, scolding him in hours (ofc with a collar on) while Gale cries through Riddle’s nagging in hours. This happens between them quite sometimes

“C-cater seems so popular and very sociable! I-I just wish he could stop asking me to take s-selfies with him. I-I don’t want to let everyone to see how hideous I a-am.....”

Cater didn’t seem to know Gale was in Heartslabyul for awhile until he found him sitting on a big rock alone in the Rose maze, crying. Gale thought he was going to report Riddle about him. Before he did so. Gale RAN before Cater took his eyes off him. Gale didn’t have a chance to talk to Cater since he saw him with Riddle around. He only sees Cater from a far watches him doing his usual job as a senior. A fun person to talk to yet questions why he’s so addicted to his phone whenever he carries it around only taking people’s selfies. Does this selfie trend really meant anything to him? he doesn’t quite get since Gale wasn’t into “trendy” stuff but in his honesty, he thought it was fine taking selfies with anyone like friends or took picture of him but the insecurities grew on him thinking if he made a friend like him. Cater might persistently ask Gale for selfies which makes him regret meeting him. Not going to get involve with him a lot because Cater’s sociability is too much for Gale to handle. He will hide letting Cater forget about him for awhile

“I think.....I trusted Trey a lot. He understands me well of what I’ve been through. It’s thanks to my courage, I-I ask him to go b-baking with me”

Just like Riddle and Cater, Trey didn’t also knew Gale was in Heartslabyul but was suspected there was a student who’ve been missing quite a lot and had guessed where Gale could’ve been. This time when he noticed Gale, Trey didn’t have the intention to tell Riddle as he saw him shedding tears like a crybaby. Watching him cry does remind him of his younger siblings back home so I guess he sparred him before leaving. Gale wonders at first, why didn’t the vice report his leader. Instead he kept his mouth shut, leaving Gale alone waiting for him to feel better. Was that his intention in the first place? Hah.....

It’s because of Trey’s kindness, Gale became comfortable talking to his senior. He was encouraged to ask the assistance to help with anything. Admired his Big brother aura and didn’t feel scared around him. Since both are good bakers, they like each others companionships resides baking

💀 - what relationship does your oc have with Sam?

“I visit his shop once, just to buy one ingredient for making my Gelatin. JUST ONCE! because I heard some eerie rumors about voodoo dolls? that made me want to hide myself forever”

He did went to Sam’s shop not quite often because of a rumor he heard but he knows that he’s not a person. Thinking he can be a bit stingy when it comes to price

⚗️ - what relationship does your oc have with Divus?

“I’m shocked that he likes my beret. Was that supposed to be a compliment? He doesn’t need to say it so earnestly of the likes of me......”

Gale has a mediocre skill in potion making. Nervously holding the school’s science equipments, trying not to break them just to avoid being scolded by Divus. Despite that, he’s quite attentive in Prof. Divus class and kinda likes Divus’s teaching. It’s just that he hates when the time he nags Gale to bark louder than his usual tone

She’s quiet and hardworking. A perfectionist in her best subject, she often ends up taking over what’s supposed to be a partner project because she can’t deal with any mistake. If she does, she’ll beat herself over it and can be very harsh with her partner. Due to her tendency to dominate, her partner frequently leaves all the work to her in hopes of gaining free points. She really wants to be more sociable, but her introverted nature makes her tired more easily.

She appreciates Kalim for his cheerful personality because he takes her out of her shell. She’s also very close with her dorm leader, Malleus, and often takes a nightly stroll together. She can be found accompanying Silver sometimes, her reading and him sleeping. She admires and respects Jade, calling him ‘Jade-senpai’ despite being in the same age, and likes to help him tend to his mushrooms.

Heartslabyul's resident sister. She’s very caring and patient, often acting as Riddle’s assistant. Despite this, she’s possessive to her belongings and won’t hesitate to chastise those who touch them without her permission. In her relaxed state, she can be quite self-indulgent and often buys unnecessary things that only end up filling her room. Trey has tried to warn her, but she remains stubborn. And although she respects the rules that Heartslabyul uphold, she’s told Trey that she doesn’t really want to follow them all because there are too many. However, she secretly fears losing her magic at Riddle's hand and decides to suck it up instead.

She’s a good friend to both Trey and Cater, the latter sharing the same class and club. She enjoys watching Deuce and Ace’s antics despite Riddle’s chagrin, deeming their chaotic attitude as ‘refreshing and brightening the room’. She likes to eat with Kalim in Scarabia dorm, favoring Jamil’s food over the cafeteria's. She frequently appears in Cater’s Magicam, thus, earning her many followers. She dreams of becoming a singer.

Her Unique Magic is called ‘Let’s Sing’. It captivates someone with her singing, but she can strain her voice if she uses it for more than five minutes.

Compassionate and curious, she likes to explore things. She joins the gargoyle appreciation society because she wants to know why Malleus likes it so much, and because the activity won’t ruin her clothes. She’s a bit short-tempered and has a nasty habit of mocking someone if she has to repeat herself and if they mess up her dress. She’s sensitive and prone to holding a grudge whenever someone accidentally insult her, often throwing passive aggressive remarks much to their confusion.

Vil’s favorite ‘doll’. They both like to dress up, but she’s not really fond of make up. She bonds with Rook over their nearly similar personalities, and they enjoy quizzing people. She pities Epel for the ‘unsavory’ treatment he receives from his seniors and often tries to distract them from him. Despite their awkward relationship, she adores Malleus and thinks of him as an endearing friend. She considers Riddle as cute and has a crush on him, but denies it every time Rook asks her about it. She wishes to go to Valley of Thorns because she wants to see more dragon fairies.

Her Unique Magic is called ‘Bind the Heart’. She can produce a long cloth from her hands and bind someone, effectively shutting down their magic, but it only works for three persons maximum.

She’s adventurous and slightly oblivious. She tends to fall for the same thing twice, such as when she keeps being surprised whenever Lilia suddenly greets her upside down. Regardless, she’s more than willing to learn new things in contrast to Cecile who only wants to know the reasons. Due to this, she always asks, and even begs, anyone to teach her the things she’s interested in. She’s very active and doesn’t like to stay silent for too long, lest she’ll go crazy.

Being a mysterious creature with vast skills, Lilia naturally attracts her. She admires him and always trail after him like a lost puppy. She often argues with Sebek, him being suspicious of her motives, but she respects his cautious nature. Despite his aloof demeanor, she’s a good friend with Jack and likes to compete with each other in running. She also frequently hangs out with the Adeuce duo, squabbling over the last snack or sharing cheat answers, much to Deuce's dismay.

Her Unique Magic is called ‘Go to Sleep’. It summons black feathers to make someone falls asleep, but the more her targets are, the lesser the feathers she can produce. Thus, her magic becomes less effective.

Diasomnia, I guess. It seems like fae are naturally drawn to it. For what reason, I know not.

3. Now that you’re officially a student, what would you like to learn first?

Hm...illusion spells would be fun to learn, they might come in handy during the mock battles.

Maleus looks like an interesting person....besides, I’ve never seen a Draconic fae before.

Silver, Maleus, Lilia, and Sebek, of course. Azul and the Leech twins are interesting characters as well. Jamil, perhaps?

Uh..mm...*flushes pink* well...Rook is, er. What I mean to say is, I admire his intelligence and versatility in the battlefield....His form in archery is also quite beautiful-ack! Impressive! I meant impressive!!! *muttering* damnit, girl...keep it together...

9. The hallways are a terrifying place to be after hours. Who’s the last person you wanna be out there with?

Jade and Floyd. I’ve seen horror movies. Not going down that road, not today!

I actually really like puns, so Jamil. Besides, I love watching everyone else’s reactions. 😏

Yes! To name my top three songs: the English version of “Paper Moon”, “Take me to Church”, and “The Sound of Silence”. It would be even cooler if Azul and Jade would play their instruments..

Well, I don’t have a reason not to go.....*glances towards Maleus* Unless...

Papa Bird Crowley. Ooh, and Lilia being Maleus’s father figure. I live for this parental sweetness!!! :3

Ashton is creepy. I can’t separate him from Gaston in my head, and frankly, I don’t want to be anywhere near him!

16. You forgot to send Maleus an invitation. Your survival plan?

Apologize profusely...based on past experiences, I’d likely break down crying right then and there from anxiety. After calming down a bit I would promise to make several reminders to do so in the future and hope for the best.

17. Be honest, would you trust Rook to shoot an apple off your head?

Pro: The guy I like-er, admire (wait, which is worse?!), is kinda paying attention to me. Con: One bump or distraction and there goes an eye!....Hey, friends, would you be kind enough to peer pressure me?

Ya’ll aren’t going to do anything illegal, right?...No? Ok, guess there isn’t a reason for me to refuse.

The woods are nice..so calm, so quiet. If I can’t go out there, then the library and my bedroom are also good places to hide out.

20. Ortho asks if you’ll help him drag Idia out of his room so he won’t skip class. How does that work out?

Idia dear, would you please come out?......No? *sigh* Then you leave me no choice. Ortho, honey, cover your ears. Thank you. Idia *whips out squirt bottle* get your skinny pasty ass to class right now, or so help me!!!!!

21. Who would you rather train with, Jack, Sebek, or Ashton?

Don’t get me wrong, Sebek is a sweetheart..but I’ll have to go with Jack. He’d make a good instructor.

Lilia....*groan* He just had to have those damn tea cakes...

23. Leona fell asleep…again. This time on top of you. You have potions in 15 minutes; what do you do?

*nudges him* Hey, Leona. I need to get up now, could you please get off me?

A spa day sounds like a relaxing way to spend the day! Vil might also be able to show me how to apply makeup...cause I really suck at that.. 😅
