Toji is sprawled across the bed, taking up most of the space. You're laying next to him, with your head on his bare arm, eyes tracing the sharp lines of his beautiful face.
It's late —really late—, somewhere around three in the morning, but no matter how hard you try, sleep won't come to you.
Then, in the quiet night, your husband's voice cuts through the air: low, husky, sleepy. "Ya horny or what?"
You smile, caught off guard that he's even conscious after the heavy snore he let out just minutes ago. "No."
"Then why won't you stop staring at me?"
Before your deep silence invades the room, his throat reveals a deep but quiet laugh, leaving the trail of a little smirk on his lips.
"How'd you know...?"
"Sixth sense, ma'am. Remember? deadly hitman and all of that." He turns his face slowly towards you, eyes half closed but still burning your skin like fire itself. "So, what's on your mind? Why can't you have some rest like the rest of human beings in this house?"
"I've been... thinking." you murmur, voice low.
"Your biggest problem."
"Come on," you can't help but laugh softly, shifting into your back. "Something happened".
"You're pregnant."
"What?" You blink. It can't be.
"Just tried to be a smartass. But go on, yap about what's on your messy head, I hear ya." he yawns, while you're dead silent. Then, he adds, "Don't mind me if I start snoring. I'm just readjusting my lungs."
You don't say a single word, and for the first minute he assumes you just drifted off. That's until he glances over and sees you still, staring at the ceiling.
"Hey, you dead?"
He moves closer to your body, wrapping his big arm around you. His hand finds your stomach, and his fingertips start touching playfully the edge of your summer top. You cover them with yours, guiding him slowly towards your lower belly. Then, you lay your eyes on him again.
"Oh shit," he seems to get it, even though you think that he's asleep enough to not catch a single fly. "I am a smartass."
You nod softly, looking into his blue eyes —now much wider than before—.
"Holy fuck, really?"
He's almost fully awake now. The way he looks at you with surprise, love and a bit of possessiveness is making you close your legs. "No shit".
You nod again, and he sits up in bed. He's slowly running a hand through his messy hair, those dark eyes —lost on the wall in front— don't fully tell you if he liked the new, or hated it. But when he fully processes, he looks at you with a crooked smile, and something inside your heart melts when you see it. You return the gesture over his excitement, and you suddenly don't know why you were worried to tell him in the first place.
He leans down without warning and pulls you to him with his big, rough hands, mouth crashing with yours in a kiss that's messy, hungry, and almost desperate. His hands start tracing a circuit on your skin, from your back to your waist, and at the end one of these rests on your hip while the other finishes tangled in your hair, holding you in place as he devours your lips feverishly.
"Fuck, I love you... so fucking much." He doesn't usually talk between kisses —because, according to him, you shouldn't talk with your mouth full—, but now he needs to tell you.
"I'm gonna... be a dad again... fuck" and he's groaning against your mouth.
"I didn't think... you'd like it that much".
"You kiddin'?"
His elbow digs into the mattress as he lowers his weight over you, body half-naked just millimeters from yours. His hand doesn't stop grabbing your hip, trailing heat as it moves.
He pauses only to breathe, pressing your foreheads together. His voice gets lower, rough against your skin. "Megumi's gonna have a little sister."
"Or a brother." You murmur, intertwining the fibers of his hair between your fingers.
"Yeah, no. Not sharing you with another little guy. One's enough." His lips start tracing a way through your collarbone, carefully going down towards your belly.
You laugh at his words, looking at him while he starts kissing your skin once again.
"Why were you strugglin' so badly to tell me?"
"I don't know. We don't have much money, I'm not sure we can af-..." He silences you with a hand over your mouth, gaze burning from where he rests near your hip.
"I’ll take more jobs. I want that kid. The only problem would be if you don’t. Do ya?"
You nod, showing a smile under his hand. He smiles back at you, nodding, whispering before kissing your belly again. "Good."
"How long have you known?" he asks after a few quiet minutes..
"About two days," you reply, with your eyes closed, and a hand over his soft hair. He was lying on your abdomen, making small circles on your skin with one of his fingers. "I was waiting for the right time."
He snorts softly, sending a chill through your body. "You mean any time when I wasn’t snoring like a fuckin' bear?"
You chuckle against his skin. "Basically."
He climbs your body again, tilts your chin up with two fingers and kisses you again, slower this time.
"Not gonna lie," he murmurs against your mouth, "the idea of another baby scared the shit outta me for a second."
"I know."
"But then I looked at you. And I thought, fuck it. And now 'm... 'm fuckin' excited." A soft laugh echoes in his throat as he confesses to you.
You close your eyes as he kisses your forehead, then your cheek, then down to your jaw again. “And Megs…”
After a few moments, he replies, murmuring "Let me be the one to tell him."
"You sure?"
He nods, more serious now. "Yeah. I want to see his face."
He’s restful for a while after that, but his fingers never stop moving over your skin, tracing idle shapes: sometimes pausing on your hip, sometimes brushing your thigh or cupping your breast. All this until he heard your peaceful breathing.
“At last you can sleep peacefully.”
. . .
The scent of coffee drifts through the apartment, and you feel yourself more awake as soon as you smell it. The sun hits your face —quite annoyingly— and you cover it with your hand, just to see him.
Toji stands shirtless by the glass-ceramic cooker, flipping something in a pan. His grey sweatpants hang low on his hips, and his hair’s still messy from sleep. Although you wouldn't mind mussing it up again.
You're now at the table, grabbing the mug he prepared for you. Not a chance you’re taking your eyes off his muscular back.
“Still starin’, huh?” he tilts his head while he smirks. “So you are horny?”
You roll your eyes while taking a sip of your coffee. “You’re the one cooking shirtless, I wouldn’t blame me.”
“Yeah, well, gotta feed the whole damn family now.” He makes you feel loved and claimed. Flips the eggs and plates the food quickly, bringing it over to you. “You think he’s awake?”
He takes food off your plate, and you were about to complain until you realize he had actually made enough for both of you. Toji looks up, mouth full, waiting for you to answer.
“No idea.” But while you’re speaking, Megumi walks into the kitchen, hair a mess, shirt half tucked, rubbing one eye with the back of his hand. He freezes when he sees both of you looking at him.
“...What?”
“Sit.” He gets up, walking towards the fridge to take out the milk. Then he jerks his chin towards the meal. “Eat. You want some chocolate milk?”
“Yeah, sure.” He starts eating some of the eggs his father made. He had no michelin star, but they were edible.
“So, kid, got somethin’ to tell ya.”
Megumi looked at him mid-bite, raising an eyebrow like he already knew something was off.
Toji brought in his chocolate milk, sliding it across the table to him. He leans forward, resting his arms on the table. “You’re gonna be a big brother.”
Megumi freezes, and there’s a long quiet pause. Then, flatly: “Seriously? Like a real baby?”
“No, a metaphorical baby. It cries in Shakespeare quotes and needs diaper changes every time Mercury is in retrograde.”
You both look at him, whispering a little “Toji?” so quietly you almost only hear it yourself.
“Sorry, yeah, a real baby.”
Megumi just looks at him, swallows, blinks twice, and grabs his milk. “Huh. Okay.”
You stare, sincerely surprised “Okay?”
“Yeah. ‘m good with it.” Toji barks a laugh at his response —and your shocked face—. “Is it gonna be loud?”
“It’s… a baby. So yeah, probably.”
“I’ll have to buy some earplugs. Thanks for the breakfast.”
And as easy as that, he gets up and walks away. As he disappears back down the hall, your husband looks at you, grinning across the table “See? That went great.”
You stare at him. “Did it?”
And he just leans back, coffee in hand, looking far too proud of himself. “Hell yeah, it did. So, any names?”

I explained to u nicely why I blocked u and its for my own mental health as I found myself worrying about what I was saying to a point I was scared even my own music taste would be used against me I'd love to be friends but judging by ur recent posts I was right to be cautious
Okay, I’m SICK of you!! How fucking DISRESPECTFUL ARE YOU?!
How tf does someone use music taste against somebody?
AND WHAT DO MY RECENT POSTS GOTTA DO WITH ANYTHING?? BRO I DIDNT SAY NOTHING. You doing too much.
I was claiming to be on ur side but u deadass reaching for shit to make it seem like I’m against you or whatever. Stop having that complex nigga.
Now it ain’t even about that shit, it’s about that fuckass attitude you got.
You wonder why ppl don’t fucking like you and only fuck with the idea that you could possibly be dating those three stupid ass boys? Not because of the fact that you could be lying and they don’t believe you— it’s because of your fucking attitude.
You aren’t a nice fucking person. Even when people are just skeptical of you and not full on non-believers, you talk to them like you’re putting them down.
And yeah, you’re gonna have friends eating your pussy lip about how nice and kinda you are, but thats ONLY WHEN THEY BELIEVE YOU!!!
You even said TO ME that you’d only be nice to me if I posted that I believed you! WHO DOES THAT SHIT?!
And yes, now I’m talking to you mad and frustrated because you have that complex where nobody wants to communicate with you unless you keep up this bullshit of you dating those triplets.
Nobody wants you. Hardly anybody cares about you. I did care about you, but because you’re so damn egotistical with this complex that people should believe you, it causes me not to fucking like you.
People don’t believe you not just because your evidence is fucking wack and conveniently vague enough for people to only speculate, but it’s also because of HOW YOU ARE TOWARDS PEOPLE.
You’ve brainwashed Star into thinking that she’s dating fucking Matt Sturniolo, and my heart HURTS for that poor girl because of course the evidence that you brought to her were all convenient enough for her to nod her head and believe it. You used basic psychological tactics to manipulate the girl, and she’s too damn nice to call you out on it.
She isn’t dating Matt Sturniolo, you aren’t dating Chris Sturniolo, those boys would never use this app because of THIS BULLSHIT RIGHT HERE!! This is EXACTLY why they have such a relationship with their fans where they don’t feel comfortable enough to post the shit they used to: because of LIES, MANIPULATION, and people claiming that they’re dating them or dating celebs who have nothing to do with them.
The boys don’t use no damn Tumblr because WHY TF WOULD THEY KEEP AN ACCOUNT EVEN IF THEY MADE ONE? If the video is fucking scrapped, they don’t need to keep a fucking account!! And ALSO they would NEVER make friends with people who make FANFICTION about them because they respect the boundaries between fans and the content that fans make about them. AND they would never DATE people who engage with fanfiction about them because it’s WEIRD. You have THEM— you don’t need fanfiction because it is FICTION. There’s ZERO POINT.
You think what you’re doing isn’t on par with the stalking shit? IT IS. Making all this shit up is exactly the shit that celebs go through EVERY FUCKING DAY!! That’s why celebs don’t trust their fucking fans anymore— because they make and roll with these false claims and take parasocial relationships to the next fucking level.
Another thing, the AGE GAP!! YOU’RE OLD AF TRYNA SAY YOU’RE DATING A MAN WHO’S JUST ABOUT TO BECOME 22 WHEN YOU’RE PUSHING 30!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! You said you’ve know them for 10 years; so at 18 you’re friends with a 12 YEAR OLD?! MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!! STOP IT WITH THE PEDOPHILIA!!
And then you create narratives to fit your stories where you said MATT AND CHRIS FUCKED. THEY ARE TRIPLET BROTHERS!! And INVALIDATING NICKS SEXUALITY?! He has said MULTIPLE times how DISGUSTED he is when people keep calling him anything except gay. WHY ARE U TRYNA SAY HE FUCKS GIRLS AND HE’S PAN? And Even MATT’S SEXUALITY!! He has stated he’s comfortably straight NUMEROUS TIMES and yet you STILL invalidate him. THATS WHY THEY’RE UNCOMFORTABLE AND WOULD NEVER BE WITH PPL LIKE YOU!!
You keep bringing up how Laura and their team are all bad people and whatever, but you can’t be doing that when you don’t even KNOW how businesses work on a basic level. I asked you questions before about how businesses work, how the law works, etc. and what did you do? ANSWER ME ALL WRONG and then CONVENIENTLY say it’s because “Laura is unethical” when Laura has NO SAY ON THE BOYS!
You gotta get rid of ur account if it’s fucking up your mental health this badly, and I’m warming u rn, it’s only gonna get worse. Get off this app while you still can and go FIND A MAN WHO LOVES YOU IN THE REAL LIFE!! I’m sure theres a REAL man within your vicinity and accessibility who will love you!!
Trust me, I could be a nice person, but I see the way you treat me and others who don’t align with your way of thinking and its GROSS!! And the way you manipulate Star fucking SUCKS. Sorry to bring you up Star if you read thjs, but PLEASEEEEE gain some fucking braincells and see through the conveniences of this all. I’m saying this as a genuine person and not somebody who wants to manipulate you into believing you’re dating an influencer that you admire.
Just STOP with the LIES Dolly. For fuck’s sake, NOBODY LIKES YOU. AND IF THEY DO, ITS ONLY BECAUSE YOU’VE CREATED SOME FANTASTY OUT OF CONVENIENCE AND COINCIDENCE.
Ugh, I can see you’re a hurt person who needs help, and you keep saying that staying on this app ruins your mental health. SO GET OFF. FIND FRIENDS IRL. JOIN SUPPORT GROUPS. GO TO BARS. JUST STOP WITH THE FANTASIES AND LIES!!
Not only to everyone else, but to YOURSELF!! The only person making you feel bad is YOURSELF!! What you’re doing by keeping this all up is SELF-SABOTAGE!!

RECIPE 1. TIRAMISU
“This is not what I meant when I said you need your back blown out.”
“Not funny. I almost died,” you grumble as you wrap the back brace around your torso. You hate the immediate relief you feel from the support it provides, no longer able to tell yourself that it’s really not as bad as it seems―which only makes you angrier.
“Throwing your back out while lifting a giant bag of flour and nearly getting crushed to death by said flour is genuinely the funniest fucking thing I’ve ever heard,” Yeri, your best friend (derogatory), snorts as she shakes her head. “I wish you had cameras in the storage room because I want to see that shit so bad.”
“Thank you for the brace. You can get the hell out now.” You roll your eyes.
“So, what are you going to do now? Aren’t you swamped with orders?” Yeri asks, ignoring you completely.
You have no clue what you’re going to do now. It isn’t just orders you have to worry about fulfilling; it’s also the freshly baked pastries that you have to sell every morning. After a year of blood, sweat, and tears, the bakery that you built from the ground up is finally starting to gain some stable business. So, of course, you chose now of all times to try to lift a bag of flour over your shoulder like you were Dwayne The Rock Johnson.
“I think I’ll have to hire some temporary help,” you answer begrudgingly.
“You could sound less like someone is holding you at gunpoint,” Yeri snorts, “Come on. It had to happen sooner or later anyway.”
“I was handling things just fine on my own.”
“Were you, though?” Yeri raises an eyebrow, gesturing to your current state.
You fear you walked right into that one. “Shut up and help me make some posters.”
The two of you eventually manage to whip up some haphazard “Help Wanted” posters, the letters written in glitter pen and Yeri’s clumsy bubble text. You tried your best to fill in the empty gaps on the construction paper by placing Pompompurin stickers that you normally give to customers’ kids all over it. The posters look like a nine-year-old girl’s school project gone wrong, but you hope it’s charming enough to catch some attention.
By the time you and Yeri finish hanging up all the posters, the sun is already starting to set, and all you want to do is go home and put a heating pad on your back. After saying bye to Yeri, you start making your way back to the bakery to lock up. Once you arrive, you notice a figure dressed in black slumped over in front of the door. You can see their shoulders rise up and down as they take in labored breaths, leaning against the glass door for support.
Every rational fiber in your being screams at you to not approach the stranger alone, but it’s not like you can just leave this person at the front of your place of business. Cautiously taking a step forward, you squat down to eye level with the stranger, wincing slightly from back pain. Through the sweaty and matted mess of his brown fringe, you can see that the stranger is a young man around your age. However, his face is absolutely battered: bloody (and almost certainly broken) nose, split lip, black eye swollen shut, and a jagged cut on his cheek. If he notices your presence, he doesn’t show it, keeping his head hung down.
Gingerly placing a hand on his arm, you give him a small shake. “Excuse me? Are you okay? Do you need me to call an ambulance?”
His brows furrow, and he opens an eye (the only one he’s probably able to open) with a wince before lifting a finger and putting it against his lips. You notice that his knuckles are completely scraped raw.
“Not so loud. I’m okay,” he answers.
“You don’t look―”
As if on cue, his stomach rumbles with a guttural growl that slowly drawls into a sputtering gurgle before dying out all together―leaving a long silence to hang between the two of you.
After another beat, he gives you a sheepish smile. “You got anything to eat?”
You stare at him for a moment; his face is flushed, pink all the way down to his neck.
And like a stupid horror movie character who opens the door to a room that clearly screams danger, you nod.
.
.
.
Fortunately, he―Donghyuck, as he introduced himself―ends up not being a crazy ax murderer.
Unfortunately, you find yourself awkwardly sitting in your closed bakery with a virtual stranger, fiddling with a first aid kit while watching him absolutely devour a piece of leftover tiramisu that you had in your fridge. If the situation wasn’t so insane, you might actually think it was pretty funny. For someone who looks the way he does, this current picture of Donghyuck absolutely doesn’t suit him―bruised chipmunk cheeks stuffed with ladyfingers and cocoa powder stuck on his split lip.
When he’s finished, Donghyuck looks over at you with a mesmerized expression on his face, as if you just fed him ambrosia. There’s a softness to his face that you didn’t think could exist underneath all that grime and dried blood.
“That was…delicious,” he breathes.
“Thanks,” you snort, pushing a glass of water towards him. Unsurprisingly, he chugs it in the blink of an eye. “I still think you should get those injuries checked out, though.”
“Nah, I’ll rub a little spit in them and it’ll be fine,” he shrugs.
“Don’t be gross,” you sigh, scooting your chair closer to him as you set the first aid kit on the table. “Now, come here.”
Donghyuck reluctantly dips his head, and you carefully cup his jaw for support, disinfecting and applying ointment on the cuts and scrapes on his face. You also clean up the dried blood near his nostrils and on his bottom lip, and he doesn’t flinch even when you accidentally brush tender areas like his broken nose or the gash on his mouth. Instead, he stays perfectly still, leaned back in the chair with his forearms resting on his thighs and fingers nonchalantly laced together.
He keeps his gaze trained on something past your shoulder, and you also try your best to focus, but it’s hard to keep yourself from staring―especially when his demeanor has changed so much. He’s so calm and quiet in such a cold, ruthless manner, as if he’s physically steeling himself from pain―like he’s done this a million times before. Occasionally, you feel his eyes swipe across your face when he thinks you’re not paying attention, and it occurs to you how close the two of you are. Suddenly, you’re acutely aware of the heat of his skin against your palm and fingertips, and you rip your hand away from his jaw.
Clearing your throat, you move onto his hands, dabbing his raw knuckles with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol before placing large band-aids on them. Despite your best efforts, it’s hard not to notice how slim his long fingers are or how surprisingly clean his nail beds are for someone who’s covered in blood. You keep your head completely bent, fighting the urge of looking up and possibly meeting his eyes.
“There, all done,” you announce a little too loudly.
“Thank you,” he says softly, “for the cake and for this. For helping me.”
“Don’t worry about it. I didn’t do much,” you blurt, still avoiding eye contact as you clean up the table. However, you notice in your peripheral that his gaze follows your movements, almost hesitantly, before he asks:
“So, you’re hiring?”
You click the first-aid kit shut, blinking a few times before turning back to him. He looks at you with a raised eyebrow, waiting for an answer.
“I―yeah. How did you know that?” you ask, puzzled by such a random question.
Donghyuck points at a poster that you didn’t even know you left here, sitting on the table right behind you. You realize that he was probably looking at it while you were patching him up.
“That poster that says ‘help wanted.’ With the Pompompurin stickers. I’m actually in between jobs right now, so if you would have me―”
“You know Pompompurin?” you interrupt him. It’s not that important and should not stand out to you as much as it does. Yet, you can’t help but grin at the fact that someone like him knows about a tubby Golden Retriever character with a name that sounds like a mashup of the English language’s most adorable onomatopeias.
Donghyuck trails off, stiffening as if you just found out his deepest, darkest secret. He opens his mouth slightly, trying to speak but unable to formulate a response―an excuse, rather. Instead, he just lets out an airy cough, putting a hand over his mouth and turning away from you in an attempt to obscure his face. Despite his best efforts, he can’t hide his glowing red ears and the way his earlier coldness melts away.
“I―yeah,” he responds, words slightly muffled by his hand.
You struggle to maintain your composure as you gnaw on your bottom lip to keep from laughing. Fighting a smile in your voice, you finally say:
“The pay won’t be that much, but you’ll get a bunch of free desserts at the end of the day. Are you okay with that?”
It takes him a moment to process that you’re offering him the job, and you watch his eyes light up and a warm smile overtake his face. There’s still a light shade of pink dusting his cheeks, clashing with the purple bruising and swelling of his injuries.
“I’d love nothing more.”
Suddenly, it occurs to you that Donghyuck somewhat reminds you of a tiramisu.
He may look a bit rugged and grimey, bitter like coffee, but in actuality, underneath it all, he’s soft and fluffy (but not too sweet) like a mascarpone filling.

RECIPE 2. BLUEBERRY PIE
“Are you out of your mind?”
You cringe away from your phone, hurriedly turning the volume down. “Damn, you don’t have to scream like that.”
“You should be the one screaming,” Yeri hollers. “I better not come over one day and find your body stuffed in the freezer or something.”
“I thought you wanted me to hire someone!”
“Not some random dude off the side of the street who was covered in injuries and doesn’t even have any baking experience,” Yeri hisses.
“I don’t need him to bake. I just have him working the front counter and doing all the heavy lifting when I get my ingredient shipments,” you protest. “Did you think I would really just hand over all my orders to some random dude and go party it up in Cancún or something?”
Yeri is silent for several seconds before asking, “He’s hot, isn’t he?”
“What?”
“So you did know what I meant when I said you needed your back blown out.” You can hear the smugness in her voice.
“Yeri,” you say tiredly, “please be serious.”
“I am serious. You’re the one being unserious,” she retorts. “Yesterday, you acted like you would rather sacrifice your firstborn child before hiring a part-timer, and now look at you. Dickmatized.”
“Okay, I’m hanging up now.”
“So, when do I get to meet him―”
You quickly hit the button to end the call and shove your phone into your pocket, letting out an exasperated sigh. You definitely won’t be hearing the end of that for a while. Your face feels warm for some reason, and you decide that you need a coffee break. After you finish making it, you pour yourself and Donghyuck a cup.
You peek your head out from the curtain that separates the kitchen and the front counter to see if Donghyuck is busy. He’s politely chatting with an elderly woman, and your eyes nearly pop out of your head when he takes out the entire tray of egg tarts in the glass display and wraps it up for her. The woman happily hands him a wad of bills and waves him goodbye. After putting the cash in the register, Donghyuck turns around and catches you in the middle of gawking.
“Oh, Y/N. I was actually just about to head back there. We’re out of egg tarts for the display,” he says nonchalantly.
“Uh, yeah, I can see that,” you whisper loudly, “Was that Mrs. Kim? Why the hell did she order a dozen egg tarts? That woman can barely finish a single cookie.”
Donghyuck blinks, clearly confused, whispering back, “She asked for my recommendation, so I said egg tarts since no one had bought any yet, and she said she would take all of them.”
You pause, things finally clicking. Grinning knowingly, you say, “You know, having you work the front is doing wonders for sales.”
“I don’t understand.” He furrows his brows.
You laugh, handing him his cup of coffee. “I’m talking about your face card, Donghyuck. You’re too handsome, so you’re flustering the customers.”
“Are we not whispering anymore?” he asks awkwardly. “Besides, that’s not true. Look at the state of my face right now.”
His injuries have faded significantly, but the bruising and cuts are still there. You want to tell him that superficial wounds can’t mask the warmth in his caramel-brown eyes, the fullness of his cheeks and the sharp jawline, and the air of mystery that enshrouds him and draws people in.
But you don’t.
“Well, for someone who’s only been working here for two weeks, you’re doing superb. Injuries or not.”
And it’s true. You’ve always preferred to work alone because you’re the only one who understands how you want things done. You naturally assumed it would be a hassle and a waste of time to try to explain to someone else when you could just do it yourself, but Donghyuck never seems to need an explanation. In fact, he knows before even you.
He gets to the bakery three hours before you, cleans and preps all the equipment you need for the day, unloads the ingredient shipments, and is already manning the front counter by the time you arrive like it was no big deal at all. He also seems to have a sixth sense of knowing when you’re about to do something you shouldn’t be, even though you downplayed your back injury. He’s somehow always there―moving all the stuff you keep on the top shelf to somewhere within your reach even though you insisted that the rickety wooden step stool you use is perfectly safe, cleaning up a glass beaker that you accidentally shattered, taking out the trash during his breaks, checking in on you when you skip lunch. He even turned down his first paycheck, saying it’s repayment for patching him up and feeding him.
Donghyuck is so perfect that sometimes you wonder if you’re being set up, like maybe he’s secretly embezzling money from the cash register―which would be a more viable theory if he didn’t drive an Audi to work everyday.
“Thanks for the compliment. And the coffee,” Donghyuck says, snapping you out of your thoughts. He gingerly takes a sip and makes a strangled noise, a mixture being choking and retching, before slapping a hand over his mouth.
“Are you okay? Was it too hot?” you ask worriedly.
“No, it’s just…really bitter,” he mumbles, words muffled in his hand.
“Oh,” you blink, “Sorry. I drink black coffee, so I forgot to ask if you wanted creamer and sugar. Come on, there’s some in the back.”
The two of you head to the kitchen, and you watch him dump an exorbitant amount of creamer and sugar in his coffee, the dark roast swirling into something more akin to milk tea.
“You know, there might be some chocolate milk in the fridge if you’d rather that,” you tease.
His head shoots up, those doe eyes lighting up. “Really?”
“No,” you trail off awkwardly, “Sorry, I'm just messing with you.”
It’s a bit adorable that you can visibly see him being disappointed in there not being chocolate milk before growing embarrassed, looking down at his cup. He turns away from you, but you can see the flush on the back of his neck.
“You really have a sweet tooth, huh?” you laugh.
“Pretty lame, right?”
“Why would that be lame? You’re talking to someone who owns a bakery, in case you forgot.”
Donghyuck smiles at you, and it’s sugary sweet like buttercream frosting. He looks at you like you just said the most wonderful thing in the world; in fact, he always makes you feel like that, no matter what you say or do. “I guess you’re right.”
“What’s your favorite dessert?” you blurt, needing a distraction urgently.
He pauses briefly. “I don’t think I have one.”
That actually surprises you. “You don’t? Even though you love sweets so much?”
He laughs, the sound harsh and rough, and it almost makes you flinch. “I’ve never really had an opportunity to have many until now.”
There’s clearly weight behind his words, but you know you’re not in a position to ask any further. A selfish part of you wants to be important enough to him that you are in a position to know more, but you’re all too aware about him very purposefully keeping you at arm’s length.
“Well, you have plenty of time to find out,” you quickly continue, pretending not to notice. “Actually, I’m going to a blueberry farm tomorrow because I’m thinking about adding blueberry pie to the menu. When I get back, I’ll bake one for you, and you can be the first to taste test it!”
“You’re going by yourself?” Donghyuck raises an eyebrow.
“Of course. Who else would I go with?”
“Me. I’ll go with you,” he replies immediately.
“But it’s, like, a forty-five-minute bus ride to the farm. Plus, coming with me to get ingredients isn’t part of your job description anyway,” you explain.
“I can’t come with you on my own free time?” he asks, tilting his head. “Besides, I’m worried about you overexerting yourself with that back injury. A bumpy bus ride definitely isn’t going to help, so I’ll drive us there.”
“You’re going to drive that fancy ass car to a farm? You do realize it’s going to be dirt roads, right?” You cross your arms.
“I think I’ll live. Besides, what makes you think this is the only fancy ass car I own?” He gives you an amused smile.
“You’re joking, right?” You stare at him.
He hesitates for a moment. “Yes.”
“That doesn’t sound―”
“What time are we leaving tomorrow morning?”
“...Seven.”
.
.
.
Unsurprisingly, Donghyuck picks you up right on time, not a minute too early or late. As the universe would have it, it rained the night prior―meaning all the dirt roads are now rivers of mud. You wince every time you heard a splat of mud hit Donghyuck’s pristine white car, but he seems to pay no mind to it. The two of you arrive at the farm within twenty minutes (he found a shortcut), and because you came so early, you get the entire farm to yourselves. The staff arms both of you with a large wicker basket each before setting you loose onto the massive property.
“Okay, make sure to pick the fat ones. The small ones are super tart, so avoid those,” you instruct Donghyuck. “We’re going to fill these baskets to the brim and get our money’s worth.”
“You got it, Captain.” He salutes.
You give him a determined nod and a thumbs up before turning to your respective side and beginning to pick the blueberries. The two of you work without much fanfare or conversation, and it’s a silence that lingers between you comfortably. It reassures you to hear the sound of the bushes rustling from Donghyuck working; his companionship alone relaxes you.
Eventually, when the sun starts peeking through and the weather grows warmer, both of you decide to take a break. You find a spot in the shade before sitting down, pulling out snacks and bottles of water from a backpack Donghyuck brought along.
“I have a surprise for you,” you tell him, trying to hide a smile. “Close your eyes.”
He eyes you suspiciously but does so anyway. You fish out a handful of unripe blueberries wrapped in a handkerchief from your pocket and feed some to him. His reaction is nearly instant the moment he starts chewing them; you watch as his face puckers up from how sour they are and his entire body shrivels into itself, a shudder running through him. He’s polite enough to not spit them out, but you’re not polite enough to resist pointing and laughing at him. Throwing your head back, you laugh so hard that your stomach starts to hurt.
“Oh my God, your face!”
“Ugh,” Donghyuck groans, taking a big gulp of his water. “I should’ve known you had sinister intentions from the start.”
“I didn’t think you’d react like that,” you finally manage to say after catching your breath. “You really can’t handle anything except for sweet stuff.”
“Are you having fun bullying me?” He rolls his eyes.
“So much fun,” you say in a sing-song voice.
Donghyuck tries to continue feigning annoyance, but he can’t help the low chuckle that rumbles in his chest. His eyes always soften when he looks at you, and his gaze is intimate like a lover’s―gentle, tender, unwavering, and vulnerable. But his warmth is always fleeting, and he only allows you glimpses of it through the unmoving walls that he’s erected around himself.
You wish he wouldn’t indulge you so, terrified you’ll try to cross the line he’s drawn between the two of you.
“What are you thinking about?” Donghyuck asks, trying to read your expression
“About the delicious pie I’m about to make when we get back,” you smile.
“I see,” he responds, though it’s clear he isn’t convinced. “I’m looking forward to it.”
“You better be. This is how I’m paying you back for driving me here,” you nod.
“Instead of that, pay me back by telling me what your favorite dessert is,” he suddenly says. “I do still want the pie, though.”
“That was random,” you snort. “Why do you want to know my favorite dessert?”
“Because you asked me, but you never told me yours.”
You suppose he has a point, but you find it ironic that he wants to know more about you when he refuses to offer you even a modicum of information about himself. Despite this, you tell him anyway because you are obviously the fool here.
“If you must know, it’s red velvet cake,” you sigh.
“Why?”
You don’t answer at first, carefully thinking about if you’re ready to be vulnerable in front of him―still a virtual stranger. A virtual stranger who loves sweets. A virtual stranger who is a bit of a messy eater. A virtual stranger who knows Pompompurin. A virtual stranger who worries about you even when he’s not on the clock. A virtual stranger who gently tells you to be careful whenever you try to do something dangerous, whispering, “I’ll do it instead.” A virtual stranger who allows his luxury car to be caked in mud for you.
“Because it’s the dessert that made me realize I want to do this for the rest of my life,” you finally say. “I baked it for my mom’s birthday, and I think I ended up being more excited than her.”
Donghyuck stays quiet, gauging your reaction.
“I was in college, studying to be a doctor like everyone else in my family. So, like a dumb young person who thought that dreams were more important than money, I dropped out of college and went to culinary school. My parents told me I was ruining mine and their lives, disowned me, yada-yada―a bunch of depressing stuff, you know. Eventually, I graduated, took out a huge loan, and opened up my own bakery. Worked a bunch of part-time jobs until my business could stand on its own. Now here I am. Still in debt, though,” you laugh awkwardly. “But I’m not doing too shabby. I was able to hire you, so at least I have a little cash to spare.”
He still doesn’t say anything, so you find yourself starting to ramble. You’re really not sure what possessed you to trauma dump on him like that.
“You know, a lot of people talk shit about red velvet cake because they say the only thing that makes it special is the red food coloring,” you hurriedly explain, “but that’s not true. The cream cheese frosting is super important too. Also, I always say love is the most important ingredient of all. As a baker, you’re kind of baring your heart to the customer, and isn’t it kind of cute that red velvet cake is red like a heart? Okay, please say something now or else I think I’m going to projectile vomit.”
Donghyuck reaches over and brushes a sweaty lock of hair out of your face. His fingers brush over your temple, which makes you sharply suck in a breath. You almost lean into his touch, but you catch yourself. His hand slightly lingers on the side of your neck, like he wants to bring your face closer, but he eventually pulls away.
He searches your face, and you’re not sure what he’s looking for―if anything. Rather, perhaps he’s not searching. Perhaps he’s committing your features to his memory, as if the way you look right now is something he wants to remember forever.
“You’ve worked hard, Y/N,” he says softly, voice slightly hoarse. “This is long overdue, but congratulations. You achieved your dream, and don’t let anyone ever discount that. Not even yourself.”
You wonder how long you’ve waited to hear that. You’re not even sure you knew you needed to hear that. But when Donghyuck says it, it hits you just how long and hard you’ve worked all on your own without a single break. Throughout the years, you’ve really only ever heard, “I’m sorry that happened.” When was the last time someone congratulated you? When was the last time you congratulated yourself?
You surge forward, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and burying your face in his shoulder. Donghyuck cradles you against him, one hand wound tightly around your waist while the other is tangled in your hair. You can feel his chest rise up and down as he holds you. He smells like lavender soap and a bit earthy from being outside, and the warmth of his skin against your cheek makes you want to close your eyes and fall asleep in his arms.
“Thank you,” you whisper.
“No, thank you,” he murmurs into your hair.
You’re not sure why he’s thanking you instead, but what you are sure of is that you’re crossing the line, taking a step towards him and wondering if he’ll meet you halfway.
.
.
.
“Tada!” you announce cheerfully, setting down the freshly baked blueberry pie onto the table.
Donghyuck claps excitedly. “Holy shit, it looks amazing.”
“I’m still trying to figure out the right portions for the filling, so let me know if you think there’s too much or little,” you tell him as you hand him a slice.
Without even answering you, he stabs his fork into the pie and almost eats the entire slice in one bite, seemingly unbothered by the steam still rising from it.
“Be careful. You’re going to burn your tastebuds off. I’m not letting you eat it for shits and giggles, you know. This is for research purposes.” You cross your arms.
“It’s perfect, Y/N. I’m serious,” Donghyuck says after swallowing. “The filling isn’t too sweet, and the crust is airy and light.”
“Well, alright, Gordon Ramsay. I think we’re going to be adding a new menu item then,” you smile. “Think you can get Mrs. Kim to buy a dozen of these?”
“I don’t think she’ll need much convincing with how good these taste.”
“You’re so easy,” you tease. “All I need to do is feed you. Anyways, I’m going to clean up here, but you should head home. It’s getting late, and you wake up way earlier than me.”
“I’ll help,” he insists.
“Go,” you order, pointing at the door. “I can handle it.”
He looks conflicted but eventually relents when you threaten to physically kick him out. Before he leaves, he turns back to you and says, “Thank you, Y/N.”
“Why do you keep thanking me?” you laugh.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve had this.”
“What? A blueberry pie?”
Donghyuck pauses, a slight wonder in his expression, as if he’s realizing his answer for the first time as well.
“Peace.”
And you think maybe this is a step forward for him too.

RECIPE 3. CREAM PUFF
It’s quite surreal how easily and naturally you and Donghyuck fall into a routine together. Somehow, in the blink of an eye, two weeks becomes two months. You’ve learned the little things about him, like how he always swipes some icing before you can fill up the piping bag or that he’s not a coffee drinker at all (more of a hot cocoa person) or that he purses his lips when a dessert he’s testing tastes off (no matter how hard he tries to hide it) or that he involuntarily sticks his arm out in front of you when he wants to stop you from doing something you shouldn’t.
You also notice that he sometimes comes into work with injuries. They’re not nearly as bad as the first time you met him, but it’s hard to ignore a bruised cheek or bloodied knuckles. He always has a reason for them, whether it’s tripping down the stairs or accidentally falling down and scraping his hands on the concrete. You can tell by the way he laughs it off that he doesn’t plan on telling you the truth, so you laugh with him. The two of you, having taken only a step towards one another, find yourselves completely immobile now.
He always does this: envelops you like a cloud but disappears the moment you reach out for him.
You’re honestly not sure why he’s still here. Your injury has long healed, and he clearly doesn’t need the abysmal pay you’re giving him. He feels like he’ll slip away at any moment, fleeting like a warm spring breeze, and you suppose time flies by when you know it’s limited. Despite knowing that, you can’t help but desperately want him to stay.
“I think it’s cute how hard he’s working,” Yeri randomly says one day as she eyes Donghyuck prepare orders in the front. He’s in the middle of a lunchtime rush, so he doesn’t even notice the two of you watching him like weirdos.
“Well, that’s what I’m paying him to do,” you reply, rolling his eyes.
“Oh, I think the money is the least of his worries here,” she hums, taking a sip of her coffee.
She has a point, but you’re pretty sure she’s implying something else as well. Just as you go to ask her what exactly she means, you hear a loud clatter. Flinching, you turn your attention back to Donghyuck and realize that he’s dropped a tray on the floor. However, the tray is the last thing on your mind when you see the expression on his face. It’s a mixture of horror, anger, and almost sadness―like he’s finally come face-to-face with whatever he’s been running from. It makes your blood run cold.
Donghyuck is looking at a boy around his age; the boy has dark hair, a mole under his eye, and a grim expression. More importantly, he’s covered in injuries too.
“Who is that?” Yeri whispers. “Why does Donghyuck look like he’s seen a ghost?”
Maybe because he has, you want to tell her.
Donghyuck grabs the boy's arm, squeezing so tightly that his knuckles turn white, and mumbles something to him. When he turns around and meets your eyes, he looks pained and fearful as if you witnessed something you shouldn’t have.
“Is it okay if I take my break early today?” he asks calmly, though the tremor in his voice gives him away.
You nod hesitantly, unable to force yourself to speak. You watch him as he drags the boy out; when he passes you, you can tell how tightly his body is wound right now. His jaw is clenched, a muscle spasming as he tries to control himself, and every step he takes seems labored. He’s running on pure adrenaline right now, like he’s physically steeling himself.
However, you don’t think he’s ever appeared so incredibly alone before. As you watch his back disappear further and further from your view, you’re unsure if he’ll ever return, and you never imagined how terrifying that would be.
.
.
.
The cream puffs aren’t rising.
You’re crouched in front of the oven, watching the dough remain flat and lifeless. You should’ve known better than to attempt to make cream puffs on such a shitty day, especially when pastries like these are so sensitive to the environment and atmosphere. Even though you know you should probably just scrap them and try again, you wait for just a little longer, hoping that maybe if you wish hard enough that they’ll magically start to rise.
But then again you suppose that no matter how hard you try, no matter how careful you are, no matter how perfect the batter is, no matter how much time you spend time piping them, no matter how much you want them to rise, they won’t.
You decide that Donghyuck isn’t like a tiramisu at all; he’s sensitive and delicate and elusive and frustrating like a cream puff.
“Y/N, they’re burning.”
Losing your balance and nearly falling over, you gasp loudly. You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t even hear Donghyuck walk into the kitchen, nor did you smell the undeniable scent of something being burnt to a crisp.
“Oh, fu―!” you curse, hurriedly opening the oven and casually suffocating both you and Donghyuck with a hot plume of air. Sputtering, you look around and grab a random rag from the sink before reaching for the cream puffs.
“Wait, stop!” Donghyuck stops you with an outstretched arm, his hand pressed to your side. “Let me do it.”
He gently takes the rag from your hand and removes the tray of charred cream puffs from the oven, dumping them into the trash before putting the tray in the sink and running some water on it―just how you like it.
Letting out a relieved sigh, he turns back to you and asks, “Are you okay? It’s not like you to make a mistake like that. You didn’t get burned anywhere, did you?”
When you don’t answer immediately, Donghyuck rushes forward and grabs your hands, carefully examining your fingers and arms. “Wait, are you hurt? Where? Tell me where you got burned. We have to cool it down with some lukewarm water. And don’t just say you’re fine. Burns are not a joke, Y/N―why are you looking at me like that?”
His hands are calloused and rough, and you can still see scabs from where he tore his knuckles, yet he touches you like you’re the delicate one. He’s covered in fresh and old wounds, yet he looks so panicked at the thought of you having a scratch.
“Shut up,” you whisper furiously, ripping your hands away from him. “From now on, don’t ask me another question. It’s my turn to ask you questions.”
He blinks, a bit stunned by your reaction, but it’s clear he knows what you’re about to say. He goes to reach for you again but decides against it. “Okay.”
“Who was that guy?” you demand. “Why are you always covered in injuries? Why did you lie to me? Who are you?”
“He’s an old friend,” Donghyuck starts quietly.
“Do you treat all your friends like that?”
“When I don’t want to see them.”
You wait for him to continue.
“Before I met you, he and I and a few of our other friends worked…odd jobs for cash,” he explains, and he looks like he’s choking on every word. “The jobs usually entailed us hurting people and also getting hurt. I did a lot of shit I wasn’t proud of. At the time, I didn’t really care. It was just nice to feel something, whether it was the adrenaline rush from doing the punching or the pain from being punched. I got a bunch of money, bought a bunch of expensive stuff, but none of it mattered. Eventually, I just felt nothing again. I didn’t even have the energy to loathe myself anymore. So, I took one last job, got the shit kicked out of me, and then I left. That’s when you found me―”
He inhales, and his eyes flicker towards you. He gazes at you so longingly, as if you were impossibly out of his reach, that you can’t help but involuntarily take a step towards him.
But he steps back.
“I thought that working here would make me feel like a human being again, but I didn’t realize how much I would―” He pauses again. “I thought working here would be a nice reset for me, but I naively thought that I could completely leave my past behind. My friends eventually found me, and I guess I care about those reckless assholes more than I thought because they managed to convince me to take on a few more jobs with them. That’s why I’ve been coming to work with injuries. But I’m done. I cut them off for good when they walked into this bakery. I don’t want…I don’t want our past to tarnish this place. I want to keep this place a beautiful, warm, and pure safe haven that you worked so hard for it to be. That’s why I lied to you, Y/N. I’m a coward to the bone, and I was envious of you. I was ashamed to admit it to you. You, who had the courage to chase after your dream. You, who had the kindness to help a good-for-nothing asshole like me. I only want you to have happy memories from now on, and I am not one of them.”
“Are you going to leave?” you ask softly.
“I probably should,” he answers shakily.
“What’s stopping you?”
“Just…one reason.”
“When you say it like that, it makes it sound like the reason is me.”
Donghyuck laughs bitterly, and his eyes drag across your face like every movement hurts him.
“You know it’s you. It’s always been you.”
When you reach for his hand, he turns away like just the warmth from your body heat burns him. So instead, you take a step back.
“I won’t ask you to stay, Donghyuck, I won’t chase you. I’m going to wait right here, and it’s up to you if you're going to meet me halfway.”

RECIPE 4. RED VELVET CAKE
When your alarm clock goes off the next morning, you seriously consider just not showing up to work. It’s not like you can be fired for being a no-show when you’re your own boss, after all.
And it’s not like you have any employees who will be expecting you.
You’ll just apologize to Mrs. Kim and your other regulars later. You’re allowed to have a day where you just rot in bed and feel sorry for yourself.
However, no matter how much you tell yourself that, you find yourself crawling out of bed and getting ready anyway. You can’t seem to brutally crush that small glimmer of hope that Donghyuck might still be there, no matter how hard you try. When you see yourself in the mirror, you recoil in horror. Your eyes are almost swollen shut from the amount of crying you did last night, and your face is sallow and lifeless.
So much for putting on a brave face, you think wryly to yourself. You tried so hard to look tough, when in reality, you bawled your eyes out and even considered praying to God for Donghyuck to stay. It’s a humiliating and humbling reality check.
“Stand up right now,” you sharply tell yourself in the mirror. “He’s just some guy. Get it together.”
You do your best to clean up your appearance and make the trek over to the bakery. It takes another internal pep talk before you can make your way to the door. After you finally walk up, you see that the lights inside are off. Your stomach sinks, and your eyes start to burn. Even though you’re holding the handle, you can’t bring yourself to open the door. It’s an outcome that you expected, yet you wonder why it hurts so badly.
“You liar,” you mumble to yourself, “You said you only wanted me to have happy memories.”
Once you make your way inside, you numbly head towards the kitchen, trying to remember what exactly you have to do today. Oh right, now that he’s not here, you also have to make sure all the ingredients are prepped first.
When you walk into the kitchen, you do a double-take.
The whole place looks like it’s been completely ransacked: used pans and utensils piled up in the sink, two opened boxes of cake mix, containers of ingredients without lids on on the tables, random lumps of flour and egg shells strewn about―
And right in front of the oven is Donghyuck, flour in his hair and frosting on his nose. He’s holding a cake stand with…you think it’s supposed to be a cake on it? The shape is mangled and haphazardly cut, but it has echoes of a heart. The frosting is a hot mess, as if a bird with diarrhea shat all over the cake. The batter is clearly underbaked and makes the cake look gooey in a bad way.
“Um, I promise I’ll clean all of this up in a second, but I wanted to surprise you,” Donghyuck starts awkwardly. “It’s not perfect, but I tried making a red velvet cake for you.”
You stare at him, still not sure how to react.
“You once said that baking is like baring your heart to the customer and that love is the most important ingredient of all,” he laughs softly to himself. “I think love is the only ingredient I managed to get right, but I’m baring my heart to you now, Y/N. I’m sorry I hid everything and lied to you, but I’m in love with you. Hopelessly so. All my life, I’ve chased a feeling, not knowing what it was. But now I do. I don’t think I knew how to feel until I met you. I never once thought I would ever have a purpose in my life, but you make me want to be a normal, proper member of society. Your dream is my dream. I want to wake up at 5AM and sell egg tarts with you for the rest of my life, if you’ll have me.”
Donghyuck sets the cake down on a table in front of you, and you notice that his fingers are dyed red from the food coloring. It almost reminds you of when you first met him, except his injuries have been replaced with red food coloring, flour, and cream cheese frosting.
“This cake is terrible,” you smile, “how did you butcher it that badly when you used cake mix?”
You watch him blush all the way down to his neck, as he sheepishly looks away. “Don’t make fun of me. I really tried my best. I stayed up watching tutorials―”
Leaning across the table, you cup his face with both hands and kiss him, brushing your thumbs across his cheekbones. He tastes like frosting, hot cocoa, and your prayers being answered. The way he kisses you back is bruising, dizzying and knocking any coherent thought out of your head, his hands finding your hips and anchoring you to him. He kisses you like you’re the sweetest and most wonderful thing he’s ever tasted.
When you finally pull away, it takes you a moment to regain feeling in your legs. Donghyuck presses his forehead against yours, lips brushing against yours once again as the two of you try to catch your breath.
“I think I’m going to have to fire you, though,” you whisper. “You know, with me being your boss and all. The power dynamic is too weird.”
He hums, pausing for thought. “Then how about I become your business partner?”
“What?”
Donghyuck reaches into his pocket and fishes out his wallet, pulling out a shiny and fancy-looking credit card. He hands it to you without much fanfare.
“I have a lot of money, you know. So I’m going to invest in your business. Use it as you’d like,” he casually announces.
You stare at him, your jaw hanging wide open. He never tried to hide from you that he was rich, but he never told you that he was rich rich.
“Well, damn! Why didn’t you show me this earlier? I would have forgiven you a lot sooner,” you tease, slapping him on the arm. “Are you sure you want to give this to me? I’m quite the gold-digger, you know.”
“When I told you to use it as you’d like, I meant me as well,” Donghyuck replies, shrugging.
“You’re insane.” You hope he can’t tell how much your face is burning up.
“I guess I am,” he laughs, and you don’t think he’s ever looked so free. You want to tell him that you hope he only has happy memories from now on too. You want to tell him that you’ll rewrite all of his scars with sugary and fluffy desserts so that they won’t ever hurt again.
And for the first time in your life, you feel it too.
Peace.

EXTRA
“So, have you figured out what your favorite dessert is?”
Donghyuck stirs slightly, groaning, as he wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you closer. He slips his hand under your shirt (well, technically it’s his shirt) and rests it on your bare hip bone.
“Why aren’t you asleep?”
“Because I’m curious.”
“If I answer, will you let me rest?”
“Depends on how good your answer is.”
“Blueberry pie. That’s my answer.”
You smile against the crook of his neck.
“Why?”
“Because it’s the dessert that made me realize I want to do this for the rest of my life.”

☠ author's note ☠
I really milked this camping trip for all it's worth, huh? Three whole chapters of outdoor shenanigans! I regret NOTHING. Anyway, here's the conclusion of our little nature excursion! Hope you enjoyed this slightly more chill setting (apart from, y'know, chapter 12's 👉🏻👌🏻 situation) because don't worry—there's PLENTY of time for everything to go spectacularly to shit later <3
MY KIWI HEAD 🥝🤧 I genuinely love him so much and I'm as surprised as you are! Who would have thought?? I seriously had ZERO intentions for Takama when I started this—no plan, no backstory, nothing. He just showed up in my brain one day demanding rights.
Maybe I love him so much because he's the only one with more than two functioning brain cells? Like, the man is just... chill. Nice. Using his fucking brain. Being all wise and grounding while everyone else is having emotional crises left and right. THE VOICE OF REASON IN THIS CIRCUS.
Takama x Reader endgame??? Jkjk this is a Jeon Jungkook fanfic ☝️ ...which doesn't mean shit won't happen before/after 👀
ANYWAY I'll leave you to make your own assumptions about our kiwi boy. All I'm saying is that sometimes characters write themselves into your heart and there's nothing you can do about it. Is it just me as an author having unhealthy attachments to my own creations? PROBABLY! You tell me!
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go cry about my fictional characters for the fifth time this week. It's only Tuesday. Send help.

The morning hike with Chaewon was exactly what you needed—fresh air, quiet trails... No drama.
But of course, you can't have nice things in Kkangpae.
Not when you return to find V lounging on a log like some tragic hero while J-Hope patches up his split lip.
"What the hell happened here?"
You eye the scene, already getting a headache. The thorny scent of roses fills your lungs as V gives you what immediately recognize as a smug smile.
"Just a little disagreement." V's smile is all teeth despite his busted lip. "Jeon can get rather feisty when he wants to."
J-Hope just rolls his eyes, clearly done with V's bullshit. He hands you a sanitary napkin without looking up, too busy sorting through his medical supplies—which basically means please help me deal with this drama queen.
You crouch next to V, ignoring how his eyes track your movement like he's a cat and you're the bird he wants to catch. The napkin comes away bloody when you dab at his lip, and his body tenses slightly under your touch—barely noticeable if you weren't trained to pick up on these things.
"Careful now." His voice drops low, playful. "I might bite."
You don't miss a beat.
"You bite, you get no help." The words come out flat, unimpressed. "I'm not one of your fangirls, V."
His games might work on others, but you've seen enough of his thorny side to know better.
Those roses have teeth.
A low chuckle breaks the tension. J-Hope's back with his medical supplies, but V's still watching you—though now with something that might be respect.
Or whatever passes for respect in that thorny mind of his.
"You really had it coming this time." J-Hope clicks his tongue, cranky doctor mode fully activated as he settles back down. "Jeon isn't someone you poke for fun without expecting consequences."
"Me?" V's eyebrow shoots up, all wounded innocence. "I was just having a friendly chat. Who knew our brooding Chief still had some fight left in him?"
The act doesn't fool anyone—especially not J-Hope, who (you bet your ass) has been patching up the aftermath of V's friendly chats' for years.
"Friendly chat?" J-Hope scoffs, dabbing at V's lip with more force than strictly necessary. "You two always turn everything into a dick-measuring contest. One of these days someone's gonna end up with worse than a busted lip."
V leans toward you like he's sharing a secret, mischief written all over his features. "He's just worried he'll run out of medical supplies if we keep this up."
You expect J-Hope to snap back—he usually does when people get like this.
But he just sighs, shoulders heavy with a worry that feels too genuine for the Kkangpae's ruthless doctor.
"Or maybe I'm worried you'll end up with a split skull, dumbass."
It's weird, the way it dribbles from his lips—like actual concern.
Which is weird in a place like this, where caring too much can get you killed. But then again, J-Hope's always been different. Maybe that's why he's one of the few people V actually listens to.
Sometimes?
V's eyes meet yours, like he's either hunting for something or escaping whatever was swirling in the doctor's pupils. Though, as everything with V, it vanishes instantly behind that shark-like grin.
"Ah, Hobi, always looking out for me. What would I do without you?"
"Probably be lying in a ditch somewhere." J-Hope says it casually, but his snark feels less blunt now.
He gives V's shoulder a quick pat—kinda saying 'you're patched up, now get out of my face.' V nods his thanks, but his attention is already sliding back to you. His gaze lingers a bit too long, assessing.
"You've got a steady hand," he drawls, and you know he's not just talking about your first aid skills.
Thorns prickle your skin.
"And you've got a death wish." You hand the bloody napkin back to J-Hope, keeping your voice flat.
Unimpressed.
V's laugh shatters in the quiet. "Oh, you're interesting. I like you."
"Was that supposed to be a compliment?" You arch an eyebrow at him. "Coming from someone who just got his ass handed to him by Jeon, I'm not sure how much that's worth."
His smile widens; ever so slightly. Like what you said made him feel something—bad or good, you really don't care, but it's like his vines are slowly creeping into your lungs.
You just sigh, shrug it off. It's not your problem.
You've got enough on your plate without getting caught up in whatever dick-measuring contest is going on between V and Jeon.
Your attention abruptly shifts to Takama, sitting cross-legged in the grass like some zen master on his coffee break. Despite looking perfectly relaxed with his can of coffee, you know better—the man's probably cataloguing every movement in a three-mile radius.
He's just that kind of observant. It's just how he is, what he does, that much is clear from your training sessions with him.
Persistent without being belligerent; consistent without being insistent.
It's weird seeing him in casual clothes. The navy sweater and white collar combo is a far cry from his usual tactical gear, making him look almost... normal. Like he could be anyone's slightly intimidating older brother instead of Jeon's deadly second-in-command. Even his loose jeans seem deliberately chosen for comfort rather than combat.
He doesn't move a muscle as you approach, eyes fixed on the horizon like his mind has found refuge among the spongy dunes skittering away in the sky.
Or maybe he's just really into his morning coffee.
You plop down beside him, the damp grass immediately soaking through your pants because of course it does.
"Peaceful morning, isn't it?"
You break the silence, knowing Takama won't. Man's got the conversation skills of a particularly stoic rock when he wants to.
There's something calming about his presence though.
Like he's the drizzle after the hurricane.
Plus, he probably won't try to murder anyone over breakfast. Unlike some people you could name.
"Peace is rare around here." The corner of Takama's mouth quirks up slightly. "Savor it while it lasts."
You settle into the comfortable silence, watching the horizon paint itself in morning colors. Next to Takama, even coffee breaks feel philosophical.
"You and V," he starts, offering you the can. "You get along?"
You grab it and take a sip, considering your answer. The coffee's gone lukewarm.
"Hmm."
Yeah that's your answer, because you don't really know what to reply. It's definitely not a yes, but you don't... hate him either?
"He's a wildcard, but I can handle him," is what you end up settling for.
What follows is Takama's laugh—quiet, understated like everything else about him.
"V is... unpredictable. But he's loyal to the gang, in his own way." He pauses, choosing words carefully. "Just watch your back. Testing people is how he entertains himself."
You pass the can back, watching him take another sip. The liquid works through a swallow down his throat, and his Adam's apple bobs slightly. His head tilts towards you when he notices you've gone silent.
"And Jeon? How do you find working with him?"
The question makes your skin prickle, and you know it's not because of how sudden it is—but because of something else, as well.
Images from last night force their way through your mind like a wiggling worm unwilling to let go—callouses on skin, that silver lip ring, the way he'd touched you like you might break.
You take your time answering, very aware that this is Jeon's right-hand man asking—and that your neck probably still has marks his mouth left behind.
But you're not about to tell Takama that.
"He's... intense." You focus on shredding a blade of grass, needing something to do with your hands. "But we kind of... get each other, I guess."
Takama finally looks at you, and fuck—there's way too much understanding in those gray eyes.
Because with V you have a noncommittal answer.
But you just said you get along with Jeon. Kinda.
He doesn't comment on it, and it makes sense—being Jeon's second means he probably sees more than most.
About how hard exactly it is to be in Jeon's circle. Not part of it, not even near—just hovering.
It's not easy, you know that much.
"Jeon respects strength," he says quietly, like he's sharing a secret. "Stand your ground, and you'll earn his respect."
A pause. Then he adds, hushedly:
"Maybe more."
Your pupils flicker between his, trying to parse whatever the hell he means—but nothing in there gives you a hint.
He simply smiles, getting up and helping you up too.
You both turn back to watch the camp wake up, the morning routine starting to buzz around you.
Someone's cursing about cold showers. Someone else is complaining about AD.
You take another sip of lukewarm coffee, letting the bitterness ground you. It's easier than thinking about what maybe more might mean, or why your stomach churns at the thought.
Besides, you've got enough on your plate just dealing with regular Jeon.
You don't need to add cryptic messages to that mess.
Tumblr media
The peaceful morning doesn't last long—because this is Kkangpae you're talking about.
Moon's voice cuts through your post-gossip haze, drawing everyone to the center of the camp like a very formal shepherd. Some people look about as thrilled as you feel about being up this early.
"All right, everyone!" He's got that tone—the one that says 'this is mandatory fun and you're going to like it.' "For today's lunch, we're doing something different. Group bibimbap, but with a twist: you'll work in pairs."
A ripple of murmurs spreads through the crowd. You catch Takama's eye—he just raises an eyebrow like 'here we go again'.
"These pairings," Moon continues, all business in his long coat despite the casual setting, "are chosen to mix different divisions and personalities. It's about teamwork and learning from each other."
You barely hold back a snort. Trust Moon to turn lunch prep into a team-building exercise.
Your attention snaps back when he calls out, "Y/N, you're paired with JM. I expect great things from you two."
Well, that could've been worse. At least JM's not likely to stab you over vegetable chopping techniques.
When you reach him, he's already smiling that gentle smile that makes him look more like a kindergarten teacher than a gang's financial mastermind.
"Looks like we're a team." His voice matches his whole vibe—calm as a lake on a windless day. "Any ideas on what we should tackle?"
You're about to answer when a groan cuts through your chat with JM.
You turn to see AD looking like someone just deleted his gaming setup, while J-Hope's already got that 'done with this shit' smile plastered on his face.
"Bro, why the fuck am I always paired with your annoying ass?" AD slumps against a tree, all dramatic like the gremlin he is.
J-Hope just rolls his eyes. "Because Moon loves to torture me, that's why. Come on, let's just get this over with."
Your eyes inevitably roam around the clearing, taking in the other pairings.
Jeon and Chaewon—they acknowledge each other with matching professional nods, something like 'we respect each other but let's keep this strictly business' hovering over them.
Takama and Jessi make an oddly perfect pair, his zen energy somehow containing her wildfire spirit as they huddle together, already plotting.
V's got Yunjin trapped in what looks like his usual chaotic storytelling, though she seems to be holding her own—and then there's Eunchae and Sakura, who look like they're planning to turn lunch prep into some kind of competition.
Meanwhile, Kazuha's hanging onto Moon's every word like he's sharing the secrets of the universe instead of just bibimbap instructions.
"So." JM's gentle voice pulls you back. "Should we handle the veggies? I think we could make a great team in chopping and prepping them."
"Sounds good to me." You find yourself matching his easy smile. "Let's show them how it's done."
At least someone in this chaos circus knows how to be normal.
You follow JM to gather supplies, falling into an easy rhythm. His gentle energy is oddly reassuring, and makes even veggie prep feel zen.
Plus, he actually knows what he's doing, which is more than you can say for half the pairs around you.
Because AD's already whining about something while J-Hope ignores him completely.
Yeah; that's Kkangpae for you.
But then you catch sight of V with Yunjin and your stomach turns, why, you don't know. Poor Yunjin's holding her knife like she's never seen one before, eyes darting around nervously.
And its knives, so yeah, V swoops right in.
"Let me show you," he purrs, and fuck him for actually sounding smooth.
You see his hand sliding over hers, like he isn't the same person who had blood on his lip an hour ago.
"There's a rhythm to it, like a dance." You watch him press closer, caging Yunjin with his body while he guides the knife. "Feel the movement. It's about confidence, purpose."
"Like this?" Yunjin's voice is small, breathless.
"Exactly like that." He eases into it. "Every slice tells a story of precision and care. And you, Yunjin, have a knack for it."
You grip your own knife tighter, fighting the urge to stab those thorny vines right out of the air. He's charming, you'll give him that.
But you fear the sweet floral scent roses simply masks decaying waste underneath.
And he needs to stay the fuck away from Yunjin.
You can't help noticing how she melts under his attention, all shy smiles and batting eyelashes. Like a moth drawn to a particularly deadly flame.
"There, you're a pro now." V steps back with a wink.
"Thanks, V." Yunjin beams up at him. "I think I've got it from here."
A slight movement catches your eye—JM's knife has stopped mid-chop.
His gaze darts between V and Yunjin like he's watching a car crash in slow motion, and it's real subtle, but you catch the way his jaw tightens.
"JM," you keep your voice casual, "you seem a bit distracted. Everything okay?"
He snaps back to his vegetables, gentle smile sliding back. "Oh, it's nothing. Just... observing the dynamics. It's interesting to see how different personalities interact, don't you think?"
You nod, watching V circle Yunjin. "True. Especially with V. Makes you wonder what goes on behind that smile."
"Exactly." His smile is halfhearted at best. "Sometimes, the most cheerful faces hide the deepest stories."
The way he says it makes you wonder just how many of V's stories JM knows.
And how many of them keep him up at night.
You and JM fall into a comfortable rhythm again, just hearing AD complaining about something, Eunchae's bright laughter, the clatter of pots and pans.
Then—crash.
Your head snaps up, muscles tensing automatically. Old habits die hard in Kkangpae.
It's Chaewon.
She's standing frozen, an overturned pot at her feet, staring at one of Jessi's guys like she's seen a ghost. His hand hangs awkwardly in the air where it had brushed against hers. You can see her breathing speed up—tell-tale sign of panic she's never shown before.
JM's knife stills mid-chop. Before you can blink, he's already moving toward her.
Jessi's there too, quickly motioning for the guy to back off—and he does, looking confused and apologetic, but you notice how Chaewon's shoulders drop slightly once he's out of reach.
JM murmurs something to her, too low for you to hear (though you bet that gentle voice of his could probably talk down a rabid bear). Chaewon gives a tiny nod, but her knuckles are still white where she's gripping her sleeve.
When Jessi touches her shoulder, you catch that silent conversation between the three of them.
The kind that comes from knowing someone's demons intimately.
"Alright, everyone, back to work." Jessi shouts. "Nothing to see here. Let's keep the focus on the task at hand."
Everyone turns back to their tasks, but you don't miss how JM stays close to Chaewon, or how Jessi's eyes keep scanning the crowd like she's daring anyone to make this worse.
JM hovers near her for another minute before coming back to your chopping station, and when he does, he picks up his knife and starts slicing carrots like nothing's happened at all.
"Guess we all have our off days, huh?" You keep your voice light, casual. No pressure.
JM's knife stills for a moment. He doesn't look up.
"Everyone has ghosts they're running from." The words come out soft. "Some just hide them better than others."
You let the silence settle. There's an unspoken rule in the gang—you don't go digging in other people's graveyards unless they hand you the shovel first.
"I'm gonna wash up," you mutter, already heading for the makeshift sink, feeling like he needs some silence before being back to normal.
Behind you, JM's knife resumes its path against the cutting board.
You're shaking water off your hands when footsteps approach from behind. Months in Kkangpae have taught you to be alert even for something as mundane as washing up after veggie prep.
"So you do know how to clean up."
The low drawl sends heat crawling up your spine. You know that voice—and the smirk that goes with it—without having to turn around.
"Turns out, I'm full of surprises." You flick excess water in Jeon's direction, catching his dangerous half-smile when you glance over your shoulder.
His chuckle hits you right in the gut, deep and rich and —fuck—suddenly all you can think about is last night.
His hands, his mouth, the way he'd made you shatter.
"Surprising indeed." There's that smug tone again. "Especially since I recall someone being too fucked out to help with cleanup duty."
"Well," you drop your voice low, just for him, "if you hadn't made such a goddamn mess, there'd have been less to clean up."
Your body remembers how close you'd been—how you'd ground against each other like teenagers, desperate and needy.
How his cock had felt pressed against you, so close but not close enough because someone didn't bring protection.
The frustration from last night still burns under your skin, reminder of what could have been.
If he'd just been prepared...
Jeon steps closer, and—fuck—even after last night, his presence still makes your skin prickle.
"A mess, you say? The way I remember it, you were just as responsible for the chaos."
"Chaos?" You meet his gaze head-on, refusing to back down even as heat crawls up your neck. "Don't flatter yourself, Jeon. It was... mild disarray at best."
His grin widens, and you hate how your eyes keep tracking that stupid lip piercing.
"Mild disarray? You were panting like you'd run through every back alley in Seoul."
You scoff, trying not to remember how he'd made you shake, how his hands had felt mapping every inch of you.
"Breathless, maybe. But let's not blow it out of proportion."
"Hah." His eyes narrow. "You've got a sharp tongue. But we both know—"
A shout from across the camp makes you both freeze. Your eyes meet his for a split second before you step apart, smooth as shadows. Professional. Like you weren't just thinking about climbing him like a tree.
Again.
You turn away, finally letting out that breath you'd been holding.
The banter gets you hot under the collar but fuck if you don't want more. Not that you'll admit that.
Even if part of you is already plotting round two.
This time with actual protection. Because seriously.
"Anyway," his voice cuts through your thoughts, "we should get back to work. Long day ahead."
"Right." You nod, and then go right back to prepping veggies.
Yeah. This is going to be a very long day indeed.
Tumblr media
The smell of bibimbap hits different after spending all morning chopping vegetables next to JM's weirdly zen energy.
And yup—everyone's gathering around the portable tables, looking stupidly proud of their contributions like they didn't just spend half the morning complaining about Moon's team-building exercise.
You grab a spot next to Yunjin, who's already halfway through telling you about her latest drama obsession; eyes practically sparkling as she waves her chopsticks around.
"No but listen—the main lead thinks his brother died in that fire, right?" She leans in close, pink hair falling in her face. "But then in episode sixteen we find out he's actually been alive this whole time! Living in China!"
You nearly choke on your rice. "That's the most unrealistic plot twist I've ever—"
"Mind if I join?" Takama's calm voice slices through Yunjin's enthusiastic plot summary; slight smile that makes him look more like a monk than Jeon's deadly second-in-command.
"Pull up a chair." You scoot over to make room. "Yunjin's educating me on the finer points of melodrama."
"Ah." His eyes crinkle as he settles in. "The ones where everyone's secretly related and nobody stays dead?"
"Exactly!" Yunjin beams. "Like this one where the brooding CEO's got a secret relationship—"
"Should've fought harder for the meat distribution," you murmur, poking at your mostly vegetable bibimbap.
Before you can finish sighing about your protein deficiency, Takama's chopsticks appear in your line of sight, depositing a generous portion of beef onto your plate.
"Here. I prefer vegetables anyway."
"Liar." But you're already mixing the meat into your rice, trying not to look too pleased. "Thanks."
Yunjin pouts at that, surely expecting some meat too (even when her plate shows basically 0 vegetables anyway). You kick her under the table, and she almost bounces with a chuckle.
"So, V's actually a really good teacher," she says dreamily, pushing her rice around. "Did you know he used to work in a restaurant?"
You cough.
V's "restaurant" experience probably involved more knife-work than cooking.
"Is that so?" Takama asks, slightly puzzled.
"Mhm!" She sighs, all starry-eyed. "And he's so patient. The way he showed me how to hold the knife—"
"Speaking of knives," Takama cuts in smoothly, "your technique has improved, Y/N. Been practicing?"
You're grateful for the subject change. Watching Yunjin moon over V is like watching a butterfly land on a Venus flytrap.
"Yeah, well. Can't let the Seduction Division down, right?"
His smile is small but genuine. "Right."
Movement then catches your eye—Chaewon's heading your way, black bob bouncing with each step. She smiles when she spots you, but you don't miss how she falters slightly when she notices Takama. Her eyes dart between him and the empty space beside you, calculating.
For a second, you think she might turn around.
But then she simply strides over like she owns the place, sliding into the spot next to you.
You don't miss how she angles her body away from Takama, though.
"What's got everyone looking so serious?" She bumps your shoulder playfully. "Don't tell me Yunjin's got you all hooked on her dramas too."
"Not all of us can be as cultured as Yunjin." You grin as Yunjin pretends to be offended. "We were just discussing the finer points of V's... cooking techniques."
That makes Yunjin blush, but Chaewon's eyes sharpen. You catch that protective glint—the same one she gets whenever any of the male members get too close to her division.
"Oh?" Her voice is light, but there's steel underneath. "And how did you find our resident psychopath's teaching methods?"
"Come on, he was really patient!" Yunjin pipes up. "And his hands were so—"
"Speaking of hands," Chaewon interjects quickly, "I heard there was quite the incident at morning coffee. Something about Jeon's right hook meeting V's face?"
Trust Chaewon to steer the conversation away from V's charms while gathering intel in the same breath. Sometimes you forget she's your Chief for a reason.
Heels on grass make your eyes stutter behind Chaewon's silhouette.
It's Jessi; obviously—who claims the spot next to Takama, all long red hair and confident energy.
She's probably the only person who can make eating bibimbap look like a power move.
"Well, well." She waves her chopsticks at your little group. "What's this about dramas? Please tell me someone's finally calling out how unrealistic those chaebol storylines are."
"We were discussing layers," you explain, watching her pile kimchi onto her rice with the same precision she probably uses to plan weapons shipments. "You know, how people aren't always what they seem."
"Like how our fearless Chief here—" she angles her head towards Chaewon, "—pretends to be all business, but I caught her crying over cat videos last week?"
"That was one time." Chaewon tries to glare but can't quite hide her smile. "And you promised not to tell."
"Please." Jessi snorts. "Everyone knows you're a softie under all that badassery. Remember when you threatened to shoot that guy who made Eunchae cry?"
"He deserved it." Chaewon's voice goes flat, protective instincts flashing. "Nobody messes with my girls."
"And that's exactly what we mean," Yunjin pipes up, somehow making even this observation sound sweet. "Everyone's got different sides. Like how Jessi acts tough but always saves the last strawberry milk for AD."
"Oi—" Jessi points her chopsticks at Yunjin threateningly, but there's no malice in it. "Just for that, you're testing all the new rifles when we get back to the castle. Someone needs to make sure they don't jam."
Something about the easiness of the conversation makes something unfurl in your chest.
It's weird seeing these deadly women just... being friends. Sharing lunch and inside jokes like they aren't some of the most dangerous people in Seoul.
But then again, maybe that's exactly what Yunjin meant about layers.
"Sooo," Jessi prompts, "who wants to share their deep dark secrets? Come on, don't be shy."
"Real subtle, Joo." Chaewon rolls her eyes, but you catch that tiny smile she always gets around Jessi. "What's next, trust falls?"
"I'd let you fall." Jessi winks, making Chaewon snort into her rice.
Takama, who's been quiet this whole time, surprises everyone by speaking up. "Sometimes the secrets we keep aren't about trust. Sometimes they're about protection."
"Like how we all pretend AD doesn't secretly feed the stray cats behind the castle?" Yunjin singsongs then.
That breaks the tension, sending ripples of laughter around the group.
Even Takama cracks a smile.
"Or how Jessi acts tough but cried during that dog commercial last week?" Chaewon dodges the grape Jessi throws at her head.
"That dog was reunited with its family," Jessi hisses, but she's fighting back a grin. "Forgive me for having a heart."
"Yeah, buried somewhere under those nine inch heels."
You smile at that, and you note how the sun is high over head now, warming skin through the trees.
You should probably get back to work—those intel reports won't file themselves. But for now, you let yourself enjoy this moment of peace.
Even gang members need lunch breaks sometimes.
Tumblr media
Dodgeball is usually fun. Keyword: usually—because when it's among deadly people... competitiveness is too light of a word.
You're in the middle of debating some strategy with Yunjin when Jeon's presence immediately freezes the whole camp. One second you're planning how to take down AD's team (he might be a tech genius but his aim is shit), and the next—
"Meeting. Council of 9, now."
Jeon's voice is calm, as usual. But it's precise, blunt in a way that makes your hackles rise. His face gives nothing away—typical—but something in his posture screams urgent.
The Council members share quick looks before following him into the trees. Moon's already at his side, glasses catching the sunlight. Chaewon squeezes your shoulder as she passes, and Jessi winks at Yunjin, but neither stops to explain.
Just like that, your cozy little camping trip turns into a war room—playful energy from moments ago gone, leaving behind the familiar sensation that comes with being in a criminal organization.
"Damn." Yunjin drops onto the bench beside you, pink hair falling in her face. "Even on a camping trip, we can't escape the threats."
Your little lunch group now feels weirdly empty without Jessi's loud energy and Chaewon's dry comments. You catch yourself staring at the path where they disappeared, like maybe if you look hard enough you'll develop x-ray vision.
So much for that epic dodgeball tournament you'd planned. Although honestly? Getting hit with rubber balls suddenly seems like the least of your problems.
"It's just how things work around here." Takama shrugs, wiping sweat from his shaved head.
Of course the dodgeball game's been put on hold, everyone too distracted by the Council's sudden disappearance to focus.
"Hey, Takemichi!" Eunchae bounces over, still flushed from running around. "Any idea what's going on? You're like, Jeon's right hand and all."
Takama's eye twitches at the nickname, but he doesn't comment on it. "No clue. But Jeon doesn't call meetings without good reason. Especially not during planned activities."
Your eyes drift to where the Council members vanished into the trees. It's odd seeing Jeon actually interact with people—the man's about as social as a brick wall. Even J-Hope, who he supposedly tolerates, barely gets more than grunts out of him most days. That whole don't-fuck-with-me hurricane aura of his keeps everyone at a safe distance.
And yet.
You'd fucked him.
Well, kinda.
Heat crawls up your neck as you mentally reminisce about last night.
Pride mingles with something else as you remember that untouchable Chief's face when he came all over your belly.
Focus, dumbass. Now isn't the time to replay your greatest hits. If Jeon's gathering the Council in the middle of fucking dodgeball, something's definitely wrong.
"Do you think it's..." Yunjin chews her lip, lowering her voice. "MDF?"
The mention of Myung-dong Faction makes everyone's faces go pale.
"Hard to say." Takama's voice drops to barely above a whisper. "But we did just wreck their trafficking ring. Hanjun's gone now. They're not known for letting that kind of thing slide."
You share a look with Yunjin and Eunchae. You remember Hanjun from your last mission—the way he'd crumpled when Kkangpae was done with him.
The way his whole operation had fallen apart like a house of cards.
Sakura's usually bright face is serious as she crouches next to you. "If it's MDF, we're fucked."
"They've been too quiet." Kazuha runs a hand through her wine-colored hair, eyes scanning the treeline like she expects assassins to materialize. "That's not their style. Not after what we did to their golden boy."
And she's right, isn't she? MDF isn't known for their forgive-and-forget attitude. Their silence these past weeks has been... unsettling. Like holding your breath underwater, knowing you'll have to surface eventually.
"Whatever it is, we need to be ready." Eunchae sighs. "Can't let our guard down. Not even here."
"We need to be united now more than ever." Takama's voice rumbles low as he scans the treeline."Division only makes us vulnerable, they might aim for that."
And he's right; because Kkangpae's strength isn't just in its firepower—it's in moments like this, when everyone's got each other's backs.
"Whatever the Council needs," you say, meaning it. "We've got their six."
The group falls quiet, the forgotten dodgeball lying between you like some sad metaphor for your interrupted normalcy. Somewhere in the distance, a bird calls. You almost miss it under the sound of your heart pounding.
A rustle in the bushes makes you lean back.
Though it's just J-Hope, looking way too serious for someone who was laughing at AD's failed dodgeball throws ten minutes ago.
"They need you." His eyes find yours, steady and unreadable. "Jeon asked for you specifically."
You share a quick look with Takama, and he's wearing the same exact puzzled expression as you.
"Me? Why would he—"
J-Hope just shakes his head. Great. Because being summoned by the dude you almost fucked last night during a secret Council meeting isn't complicated enough.
But you don't really have much choice, so you trail behind J-Hope like a kid being called to the principal's office, mind racing faster than your heart.
What the actual fuck could Jeon want? And why during the middle of dodgeball, of all things?
The Council's little forest hideaway comes into view, and suddenly you've got nine pairs of eyes drilling into you.
Great. Just great. Nothing like being stared at by the most dangerous people in Seoul while you're in workout clothes and probably still red-faced from almost getting beaned by AD's wild throws.
Jeon stands like a statue among them, and he speaks immediately upon seeing you.
"We have a situation that needs your input."
No greeting, no explanation, just straight to the point. Pure Jeon. You'd roll your eyes if you weren't so aware of every Council member watching you.
"Remember your first mission?" Chaewon continues. "The women we rescued? You were the only one who actually saw them in that room."
Of course you remember—hard not to, even if you wish you wouldn't.
That cramped, dark room with its rusty bars and stale air. Women huddled in corners like broken birds, some too afraid to even look up when you'd entered.
Your first real taste of what the Seduction Division actually does.
Not the glamorous spy shit you'd imagined, but the ugly, necessary work of saving people from monsters.
"Remember what any of the women looked like?" Chaewon presses.
You try to remember, but the thing that comes first is the smell of fear and desperation—thick enough to choke on.
Then it's their faces. Burned into your brain. And then... hers.
"There was one girl," you start carefully, watching the Council's reactions. "Couldn't have been more than eighteen. Skinny thing, but her eyes..."
You pause, searching for the right words.
"Even in that shithole, she was... I don't know. Like she was just waiting for a chance to burn the whole place down."
You catch the tiny shift in Jessi's jaw, the way her fingers tighten around her weapon.
The air feels like a forest fire waiting to happen.
"Dark reddish-brown hair," you continue, the details getting clearer as you speak. "Matted to hell, but you could tell it was beautiful once. And the way she held herself..."
"That's enough." Jeon interrupts you. "Your recollection could prove useful. We believe that girl is connected to one of our own. This isn't some random MDF hit."
Your stomach drops. Because shit—that... That changes everything.
MDF might be brutal, but they're not stupid.
Kidnapping someone connected to Kkangpae? That's not just an attack—it's a message.
A very personal message.
You watch the Council's faces, trying to read between the lines.
If MDF knows enough to target someone specific, how much else do they know? How deep have they dug into everyone's past?
The thought makes your skin crawl.
"Now we know this is personal." Chaewon's voice is ice-cold, all business. "The question is, how do we respond?"
"We hit back." Jessi's voice cracks like a whip, raw and broken. "Show those fuckers what happens when you mess with Kkangpae."
J-Hope reaches for her shoulder, ever the voice of reason. "I know you want blood, Jessi. But an all-out war will only get innocent people killed."
Jessi jerks away from his touch, but you see how her hands shake.
"I should've been there," she whispers, more to herself than anyone else. "I should never have left them alone."
The pain in her voice makes your chest tight; you've never seen Jessi like this—like she's barely holding herself together.
"Why don't we just storm their headquarters and slaughter them all?" V (who's been conspicuously quiet until now) raises his voice.
The guy is just leaning back against a tree, playing with a butterfly knife like he thinks he's the Joker or something.
"Picture it." His smile grows wider, more unhinged. "Their precious hideout painted red, bodies everywhere. We could string up their leaders—or what's left of them—as a warning."
JM gives him one look—one that somehow manages to pierce through V's psychotic haze. Like he's the only person besides RM who can actually rein him in when he gets like this.
V slumps back with an exaggerated pout, thorny aura receding slightly. The switch from bloodthirsty to playful is so fast it gives you whiplash.
"As entertaining as that sounds," JM's voice is steady, like a calm lake washing away V's chaos, "we need precision here. Not a bloodbath."
"You never let me have fun." V whines like a kid denied candy instead of mass murder. "But fine, we'll be civilized."
JM turns back to the Council. "Please continue. V's just... working through some things. He understands the need for balance."
Jeon's face gives nothing away, but you notice how his jaw tightens. Having to share space with V is bad enough—having to listen to his murder fantasies is clearly testing what little patience he has left.
"As I was saying..." Jeon continues.
JM gives V another one of those looks and V slumps against the tree.
The thorny scent of roses fades to something more bearable, though you can tell he's just waiting for another chance to suggest mass murder.
"I might have a better idea." AD clears his throat. "A bloodbath would be satisfying, sure, but we need intel first. Something clean and quiet that gives us some advantage."
You watch him run a hand through his messy blonde hair, thinking three steps ahead while looking like he just rolled out of bed.
"We know where their hideout is. Send in a small team, two people max. Get their data, their plans, their weak spots." He pauses, letting that sink in. "Information is better than bullets right now."
The Council members exchange looks. Even V stops fidgeting with his knife. You catch Jeon's shoulders relaxing slightly—he knows a good plan when he hears one.
"Stealth does play to our strengths," Jeon admits, and his eyes flick to you for a split second. "Who did you have in mind?"
AD jerks his chin toward you.
"She's perfect for this. Hanjun's well acquainted with Flower now, but Y/N? She was only there for the takedown. He never had time to report back about her or the other girls. But between all of them," he adds, "she's the only one who got to see all the girls."
Suddenly you've got nine of Seoul's most dangerous criminals staring at you. But you meet Jeon's gaze head-on, refusing to flinch.
Finally—a chance to prove yourself.
And maybe get some answers about what's really going on with MDF.
"She's just an ensign." JM mumbles. "She's gonna need backup."
The Chiefs exchange looks, probably running through a mental list of who they could trust not to fuck this up. Your heart's still pounding from being called in, from learning about this mission that could change everything.
"Jeon will lead this operation." RM's voice leaves no room for argument. Like he's announcing the weather, except the weather is your hookup being assigned as your partner.
Amazing, really love that for you.
"You're picking him for stealth?" V's voice goes high with indignation, like someone just insulted his knife collection. "I'm literally the Chief of Stealth Assassinations. What the actual fuck?"
Thorns prickle the air, sharp with offense. You definitely catch Jeon's tiny smirk—he's enjoying V's tantrum way too much.
"Jeon has the discipline this requires." RM's tone could freeze hell itself. "We can't afford your... creative interpretations of orders right now."
V opens his mouth—probably to suggest murdering everyone involved, knowing him—but JM slaps a hand over it. The look V gives him could kill a lesser man, but JM just raises an eyebrow.
"This mission's success is crucial." RM continues like V isn't plotting JM's death with his eyes. "We need strategy, not chaos."
You watch Jeon's face carefully. His expression gives nothing away, but you just know he's thinking the same thing you are:
How the fuck are you two supposed to focus on a stealth mission when you can barely keep your hands off each other?
"Come on," V's voice drags after getting rid of JM's hand, "we all remember how well these two work together. Like gasoline and a lit match. Either they'll kill each other or fuck like rabbits. Not ideal for a stealth op, eh?"
JM smacks his shoulder, but V just grins wider. Your face burns as Jeon goes rigid beside you, like a gathering strength.
If looks could kill, V would be six feet under from the glare Jeon's sending him.
You stare very intently at a patch of grass, fighting the urge to squirm, because V has no idea how close to home that "fucking like rabbits" comment hits.
Or maybe he does—you can never tell what that psycho actually knows.
"Enough." JM sighs. "RM's guidance is sound. Jeon, you're our best strategic mind. Tactical is probably our best approach right now."
Jeon's jaw works for a moment before he gives a sharp nod. "Understood. I'll lead the operation."
You let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding.
Stuck on a stealth mission with the guy you've secretly hooked up with, while his psychotic sworn enemy watches and makes sex jokes.
Just another day in Kkangpae.
"For now," RM's redirects the conversation swiftly, "let's focus on the task at hand. This camping trip was meant to build unity and trust. We can't lose sight of that."
Unity and trust.
Right.
Because nothing says team bonding like sending you and the guy you're dying to have sex with to infiltrate enemy territory while pretending you've never seen each other naked.
"There will be time later to prepare for the mission." He adds. "But while we're here, I expect everyone's full commitment to this team-building exercise."
Jeon surprises you by actually looking... chastened? as he gives RM a short nod. "You're right. My priorities were misplaced. I apologize for the disruption."
And that's... New. You've never heard Jeon apologize for anything.
But then again, RM's probably the only person in Seoul who could make him bow down. The amount of respect Jeon has for him is almost an entity of its own.
"No need to apologize." RM's stern expression softens slightly. "Let's refocus together on strengthening our bonds as a crew."
More team bonding. Because that's exactly what you need right now... bonding,̶ ̶o̶r̶ b̶o̶n̶i̶n̶g̶?̶
You give Jeon one last look before V's voice cuts through, all manic energy as usual.
"Last one back has to clean everyone's dishes!"
And then he just... takes off running like the psychopath he is, thorns receding with him. Because of course he'd turn this into a competition.
"Oh, fuck no!" Jessi kicks off her heels, already sprinting after him in bare feet. "I am not cleaning after his ass."
Chaewon and JM share this look—probably something like 'we're both too dignified for this shit' passing between them before they're running too, probably realizing nobody wants to risk V winning anything.
"How childish." J-Hope rolls his eyes, but AD's already got that gleam he gets when someone issues a challenge.
"Childish?" AD's grin is pure evil. "I bet I could eat enough for ten people. Give you something real nice to clean."
"You little shit—" J-Hope takes off after him. "Get back here!"
You glance back at Jeon and RM, both still walking like they're above such peasant activities.
But fuck it—you're already sweaty from dodgeball, might as well commit to the chaos.
"Think I'll take AD's strategy." You flash Jeon your sweetest smile. "Eat everything in sight, let someone else deal with cleanup."
You're running before he can reply, laughter bubbling up.
And then, merely a few second later, you hear his steady footsteps turn into something faster.
Looks like even the mighty Chief can't resist a challenge.
The campsite comes into view through the trees, and you pick up your pace.
You jog into the clearing, lungs burning, only to find V and RM already there.
What the actualfuck?
"How did RM beat us?" The words come out between gasps.
The man runs a criminal empire in designer suits, for fuck's sake. He shouldn't be able to outrun anyone.
V just grins that Cheshire cat smile of his and then, Jessi, Chaewon and JM stumble in next, all tangled together and cackling like teenagers.
"JM's face when I almost tripped him—" Jessi wheezes, red hair wild from running.
Everyone else filters in gradually, catching their breath and comparing notes on who cheated (definitely V).
But oddly enough, there's no sign (or sound) of J-Hope or AD.
Then—
"You absolute fucking cockwomble, let go before I rearrange your face!"
"Not happening, you lil' bitch. I'm not cleaning your blood off the floor again!"
You turn to find J-Hope and AD crashing through the underbrush like drunk bears, locked in what has to be the world's most undignified wrestling match. AD's blonde hair is full of leaves, and J-Hope's pristine turtleneck is covered in dirt.
Seoul's most dangerous gang, ladies and gentlemen.
Truly terrifying.
"You wanna fucking go, asshole?" AD thrashes like a feral cat, trying to land a hit on J-Hope. "I'll rip out your spine and use it as a fucking ethernet cable!"
But J-Hope's got him locked down, using his height advantage like the bastard he is. AD might be scrappy, but the doctor's got experience wrestling patients into submission.
"You need to get out of this unscathed first, you dumbass—"
"Then I'll download your consciousness into a punching bag," AD snarls, still fighting. "Have you getting hit for eternity, you piece of shit!"
Their little death match stumbles closer to camp. J-Hope's got AD in a headlock now, ignoring the increasingly creative threats being spewed at his face.
"I'll be patching you up after this, you psychotic gremlin." J-Hope finally slams AD into the dirt, probably enjoying this way too much. "Maybe I'll sew a live rat in your stomach. Let it chew its way out through your organs."
They keep wrestling, but it's getting pathetic—like watching two drunk uncles fight at a family barbecue. Both of them are red-faced and panting, shirts half-ripped from trying to hold each other back.
You can't help noticing they look wrecked—covered in sweat and leaves.
Actually...
"They must've been holding each other back the whole way here." You snort.
No wonder they're last. These idiots literally spent the entire race trying to murder each other.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" V's voice rings out like a demented game show host. "Our esteemed winners, graceful as ever!"
J-Hope and AD freeze mid-choke hold, finally noticing their audience.
The look of pure horror on their faces is priceless.
"Dish duty it is, boys!" Jessi's grin is absolutely feral.
AD shoves J-Hope off like an angry cat, but they're both too winded from their pathetic wrestling match to do more than hurl insults at each other.
"This is all your fucking fault!" AD jabs a finger at J-Hope's chest, looking about as threatening as a wet Pomeranian. "If you hadn't grabbed me—"
"My fault?" J-Hope's voice gets higher. "Big words from someone shaped like a fun-sized candy bar!"
"Say that again, you overgrown fucking giraffe!" AD tries to lunge but stumbles, still panting. "I fucking dare you!"
RM steps in before they can start round two of the world's most embarrassing fight.
"That's enough, you two. We all enjoyed the show, but it's time to work."
They both shut up immediately—even AD knows better than to test RM's patience. But the glares they shoot each other could probably melt steel.
"Can't believe I'm stuck with your ass for cleanup duty," AD grumbles, brushing leaves out of his blonde hair.
"Trust me, I'd rather perform surgery blindfolded. But maybe next time you'll think twice before dragging me down with you."
"As if I need help being slow from someone who runs like a drunk giraffe."
Their bickering fades as they head back to camp, still shoving each other like kindergarteners fighting over the last juice box.
Well. At least you'll enjoy a show during dinner time tonight.
Tumblr media
One would think dinner time would be dulled down now, after the Council meeting earlier.
But nope—gang members are scattered around the fires like this is some post apocalypse scavenging situation.
You can't help watching V with Yunjin. He's leaning in close and probably whispering some bullshit about knives being romantic or whatever gets him going.
And Yunjin—sweet, perceptive Yunjin who usually sees right through everyone's bullshit—is eating it up. She's doing that thing where she plays with her hair, pink strands twisting around her finger while she giggles at whatever murder joke V's telling.
You snort into your food, because you just don't get what's it with these two.
The weirdest part? Even knowing what V's capable of (the rumors about his "artistic approach" to killing make your skin crawl), you kind of get why people fall for his act.
He's got that whole dangerous charm thing down to an art.
"Hey stranger!" Eunchae drops onto the bench beside you, nearly knocking over your drink. Sakura slides in more gracefully across from you, because someone in your division has to have coordination.
"What was the super secret meeting about? You went in looking normal and came out all..." Eunchae waves her chopsticks vaguely. "You know. Intense."
"Classified." You shrug, trying not to think about what that meeting means for you and a certain hurricane-aura'd Chief. "Above your pay grade."
"Ugh, you're no fun." She slumps dramatically against your shoulder. "I wish I could join the Council just to know all the juicy stuff."
"We're here if you need to talk," Sakura adds quietly, and fuck—sometimes you forget how perceptive your division can be.
"Thanks." You bump Eunchae's shoulder, warmth blooming in your chest. These idiots might be professional honey traps, but they're your idiots. "I mean it."
You go back to your food, half-listening to Eunchae's story about some mark who thought cryptocurrency was foreplay. But your eyes keep drifting to V and Yunjin.
What's your friendly neighborhood psychopath plotting this time?
However, the first drops of rain quickly hit your food like tiny bullets. Within seconds, the drizzle turns into a full-blown downpour because of courseit does.
Nothing like a surprise shower to end your deeply suspicious dinner observations.
"Oh, come on." Eunchae snatches up her plate, already running for cover, chestnut hair plastered to her face by the time she makes it three steps.
Your eyes snap to where V still has Yunjin trapped in conversation. They're both getting soaked but Yunjin's still hanging on his every word, pink hair turning darker in the rain.
"Yunjin!" You pitch your voice to carry over the rain. "Unless you want to catch pneumonia, might want to wrap it up!"
She blinks like she's coming out of a trance, finally noticing she's halfway to drowned. The spell breaks—thank fuck—and she hurries over to you, gathering her stuff with slightly shaky hands.
"Thanks for the save." Her voice is quiet, almost sheepish. "Got a bit... distracted."
"Yeah, no shit." You grab her arm, steering her toward your tent. "Let's get inside before we both melt."
You dodge through the chaos of gang members running for shelter, curses mixing with laughter. Someone—probably AD—slips in a mud puddle and lets out a string of creative profanity that would make a sailor blush.
The relative safety of your tent feels like crossing a finish line. The rain hammers against the canvas, but at least you're dry.
Well. Drier.
The rain doesn't let up for hours, turning the campsite into something out of a moody indie film. But inside your tent? It's like a sleepover bubble—wrapped up in cozy blankets and the glow from Yunjin's phone where some poor actor is having his third dramatic breakdown of the episode.
Yunjin's using your stomach as a pillow, pink hair splayed across your hoodie while she decimates the bag of chips between you. Every few minutes her hand dives in without looking, too focused on whatever absurd plot twist is happening now.
"This one's actually decent," she murmurs, smiling at the screen where someone's probably discovering their evil twin or something.
"If you say so." You can't help grinning as the male lead clutches his chest like he's having a heart attack over a text message. "These writers must be on something wild. Like, who comes up with this shit?"
Her giggle vibrates against your stomach.
"That's why they're fun! You never know what's coming next." She tilts her head back to look at you. "Kind of like living here, right? Never a dull moment in Kkangpae."
"God, don't jinx it." But you're laughing too because she's not wrong. Your life has definitely taken some drama-worthy turns lately. "Though I hope we're at least more realistic than that."
You both fall into easy conversation, trading comments about the show and today's chaos. When the male lead starts laying it on thick with the female lead, you see your chance. Time to figure out what the hell V was playing at earlier with all that knife teaching.
"So." You poke Yunjin's side with your toe, aiming for casual. "What's with you and V today? The whole knife lesson thing seemed... weird."
Yunjin doesn't look away from her drama. Of course she doesn't.
"I mean, have you seen him?" She sighs dreamily. "He's like a walking thirst trap. Those hands..."
"Oh my god." You stare down at her pink head in disbelief. "You'd actually fuck him? Like, actually actually?"
She finally tears her eyes from the screen, twisting to grin up at you with zero shame. "Why not? Life's too short not to ride at least one psychopath, right?"
The silence stretches.
"What?" She raises an eyebrow at your horror. "You wouldn't?"
"Jesus fuck no." You mime gagging. "You know he probably has some weird murder kink. Like, he'd probably want to chase you through a haunted house with a knife while dramatic music plays."
"Haunt play?" Her eyes go wide  before she breaks into giggles. "That's... weirdly specific. But don't knock it till you try it, right?"
"Yun." You roll your eyes so hard they might get stuck. "He'd probably set up a whole haunted house just to get his rocks off."
"Okay but..." Yunjin props herself up on her elbows. "Haunted house but make it sexy? That's kind of genius."
"You're actually insane." You shove her shoulder, both of you dissolving into laughter. "I swear to god, if I ever hear spooky music from his tent—"
"You'll what, call the ghost police?"
Her laughter shakes your whole body, bright and infectious, and the small space of the tent makes this ridiculous conversation feel somehow safer, more intimate.
Just two girls discussing their terrible taste in men while hiding from a storm.
Even if one of those men happens to be Seoul's most notorious psychopath.
Yunjin flops back down, using your stomach as a pillow again. The drama's still playing on her phone, but you're too busy thinking about V's games to focus on whatever chaebol drama is unfolding now.
"For now," she sighs dreamily, "I'll stick to living through these ridiculous romances. Much safer than the real thing, right?"
You hum in agreement, watching raindrops race down the tent's surface.
"Sounds smart. But if you do decide to test out V's haunted house kink..." You poke her side. "I want every single detail. For science."
"Deal." Her giggle vibrates against your stomach. "But only if you keep saving me from his 'passionate teaching moments'. My knife skills are fine, thanks."
"Always."
The word comes out softer than intended, but you mean it. In Kkangpae, real friendship is rare as fuck. People either want to kill you, fuck you, or use you—sometimes all three.
But Yunjin? She's different.
And all the while; the rain keeps drumming steadily against the canvas, turning the world outside into a blur of gray and green.
In here, none of that exists.
Not V's thorny games, not Jeon's hurricane, not the Council's secret meetings.
Just you and your best friend, safe and warm while the storm rages on.
For now, anyway. Tomorrow's another story.

Jason is a Teenage Dad
Woke up to see my phone open to my notes app and all it says on it is:
Jason is a Teenage Dad
- Jason is 15 and fucking dies.
- Clockwork shenanigans
- Jason drags his body out of the Lazarus
- Meets the eyes of a 3 year old Danny playing with the Joker’s decapitated head.
- Jason takes the child home. It is his now.
So, obviously, I gotta write about it. Enjoy this post based on the vision of delirious 4 am me.
…………….
Clockwork was bored. You would think the ability to see everything everywhere all at once would be overwhelming but it’s actually boring. There’s no suspense when you always know what’s going to happen. But that was all part of his job as the Ancient of time.
Every universe was scripted out. Each one was slightly different from the last, but it still had the same major things in there. For instance, there was always a Gotham in every universe. Sometimes the city itself, sometimes a comic book about the place as if it were fictional. The same with Amity Park except that one universe made it an anime instead of a kids show which was…. A choice.
Most of the time Clockwork just had to make sure that catalyst events happened no matter what the timeline. Like the adoption of Jason Todd. Or the death of Danny Fenton. The meteor that killed the dinosaurs. Stuff like that. Universes that didn’t have enough catalyst events like that tended to implode on themselves if some new event didn’t take its place.
Clockwork was looking at a universe at the moment that was definitely close to being expired. Could he let it happen? Sure. He could. But that wouldn’t have been much fun to watch.
In the universe he was looking at currently, Danny Fenton has all but disappeared at least according to the locals of Amity Park. Which wasn’t that bad. Easily fixable. However the much larger problem was that Jason Todd just died the wrong way. In most universes where his death took place, it always happened that same way as it was a catalyst event for that universe. Jason gets beat up by the joker and then dies in an explosion. Then he gets revived and healed by some assassins in a pit of really fucked up ecto. Standard procedure.
However in the universe Clockwork was looking at, Jason died due to the crowbar. There was no bomb. Infact, Batman didn’t even arrive to the scene until much later than he did in every other universe. The strangest part though, was that after killing Jason Todd, the Joker threw him into the Lazarus himself. There was no downtime or buffer. This kid was going to be alive again by the end of the week and unless Clockwork did some timeline adjustments, it was enough that the entire universe was inevitably going to fall apart.
Obviously fixing it wouldn’t be hard to do. If he did it the easy way. To rewrite Jason’s death. But that was kind of boring. So, Clockwork had a better idea.
Jason gasped suddenly and he felt liquid enter his lungs. He opened his eyes to see green. All around him. Shit, if he inhaled anymore liquid he could drown. So he started to try to swim towards what he thought was the surface. His body felt odd and disconnected from his brain making it hard to move but he kept going. He had to keep going. He didn’t want to die.
Finally, he felt his hand break the surface and latch onto a ledge. He pulled himself out of the green glowing Lazarus, trying to cough up as much liquid as possible.
Memories started to flood back to him. The fight. His mom. The Joker. The fucking crowbar. And most notably, no Batman. Batman never came. He was going to kill B for that.
Jason took a few deep breaths and let himself look around. His eyes immediately locked onto a child. Looked to be about 3. Pale with black hair and blue eyes. The boy was sitting with his legs crossed, covered in blood. He was playing with… something?
Jason couldn’t help but worry for the kid, hoping he did t fall into the pit. It was a dangerous place to be especially alone. Jason sat up to get a better look.
The moment he did, he saw the toddler’s eyes dart right into his own, the blue overpowered by a sudden glow of green. Lazarus green. A look of fear ran over the boy’s face as he froze in place.
Jason felt something in his chest churn, almost as if he could feel the fear dripping off of the child. He didn’t want to scare him. He didn’t want to hurt him. He wanted to get them both somewhere a bit more safe.
Jason stared at the boy, trying to not look menacing. He wanted him to know he could trust him. He felt whatever that new something inside his chest was also try to reach out. Jason didn’t notice when his own eyes turned green, but he did notice that the boy’s attitude shifted very quickly.
The toddler’s eyes went back to blue as the look of fear mostly washed out of his face. There was still some apprehension but it seemed that the two of them had silently come to an agreement of sorts that they were not enemies at least.
Jason looked down from the boy’s eyes and into his hands and whatever animosity Jason had within him was completely washed away. This kid had been through something horrific. In the toddler’s small arms was the decapitated and now decaying head of the Joker. Jason’s murderer.
Jason suddenly felt like this child in front of him was more important than anything else. Whatever he had gone through to land him in this place with that head was fucking over. Jason was going to protect this kid until the day he fucking died. Again. This child had gone through unimaginable things and Jason inherently knew that even though he knew nothing about this kid’s story, he was was going to be one of the very few who could really understand what he was going through.
“What is your name?” he asked as softly as he could.
The boy quietly responded in almost a whisper, “Danny.”
This kid was his kid now. To hell with wherever he came from. Jason was now a dad.
Bruce was distraught. Devastated. Completely inconsolable. Jason, his son, was dead. The Joker had confirmed it with a video of him laughing over the dead body. That was a week ago now. Bruce didn’t know what to do. He failed Jason. He wasn’t there when he should have. He couldn’t save him.
He had gotten delayed when he found out where Jason had gone and tried to go after him when a kid he’d seen at a few galas before, Tim was dropped out of the sky landing right on top of him with a post it note safety pinned to his back. He ignored it at the time as he was a little preoccupied.
After he got up again after the initial shock and realized it was just a kid, he tried to calm the nerves of young Tim who described watching his die and then being teleported into the sky and dropped. There was a chance that if Batman’s body hadn’t cushioned the fall, he would have been seriously injured.
He knew he couldn’t leave the young kid there by himself. And he knew that he had to find Jason. He didn’t want to bring him along either but the boy insisted that he wanted to come. Was it smart? No. Did he end up bringing Tim with him? Well yes. He was running out of time after all.
But Batman didn’t make it. The place was empty except for the dead body of Jason’s mother and a lot more blood that was undoubtedly his son’s.
Bruce was currently lying in his bed. He hadn’t gone out to do anything except for patrols. It was the only thing he could focus on. It was the the only thing he could bring himself to do. Bruce Wayne had the time to grieve for Jason Todd. Batman on the other hand did not have that. He had to remain vigilant and consistent. More importantly he had to find the Joker and send him away for killing Jason. Which would have been a lot easier if he hadn’t completely disappeared.
Bruce stared at the nightstand. It had the post it note that Tim had on his back when he fell. He had read it hundreds of times. But he didn’t want to believe it. It was just more proof that Jason was dead.
He took the post it note from the nightstand and read it again, hoping it was different. It was not.
Take this kid home. He’s Robin now :)
Tim didn’t really know what to do. His plans had come to fruition much faster than he had anticipated. After watching g his parents die, he had sworn to himself that he would find Bruce Wayne, the Batman, and convince him to let him help fight the evil of the city. But he didn’t expect that the moment he made that decision he would he plucked off his feet by unseen hands and then suddenly dropped from the sky.
That was over a week ago. Now, he was sitting on a large sofa in Wayne Manor. He was thinking. All he really had time to do was think. He had seen his first crime scene at Batman’s side and afterwards was brought back to the manor. He was left alone. He hadn’t seen Bruce hardly at all.
He wanted to do more. Go out and help with something. Anything. But Alfred wouldn’t let him go anywhere. So all he could do was think.
Did anything that had happened since his parent died make any sense? No. Joker deviated from his MO. But why? It was so different than anyone would have expected. There was no spectacle or epic battle with the Batman. He was just gone with a dead body behind. Nothing else.
And that was AFTER Tim was teleported into the middle of the sky. If he just had more resources, maybe a computer or some books that he could dive into to, he could figure it out. There had to be SOME reason. Right? But he had already checked the books in the manor library and Alfred wouldn’t let him into the poorly hidden Batcave. He only had his own thoughts.
He would grieve his parents with that time but he could also just as easily do that later. Besides, he had already decided he was going to become a vigilante and help the Batman. And most importantly, there was a puzzle in front of him that he wanted to solve more.
Jason knocked on the door the manor. He was nervous to see B again. Since according to newspapers he had been gone for a week. He knew his dad was gonna be mad that he went to see his mom. And mad he was gone so long. Jason knew he was going to get chewed out for it but he just wanted to be home. Especially since he was going to need help raising Danny. He didn’t know how adoption worked and Jason was only 15 but he was sure B knew how to do all that.
Danny was currently in his arms. He was so small compared to Jason now. Before he had died, he was wasn’t nearly this big. Jason had muscle sure but he was still relatively lean. Now, Jason was built more like a brick house. His shoulders were wider than a typical doorway and he was much taller, at least 6’4.
Danny was sleeping at the moment. He still had the Jokers head in his arms. He hadn’t been able to convince the kid to let it go. Which was fine. Jason didn’t really know what to do with it anyways.
Some shuffling was heard and then the door opened. Alfred was staring back at him.
“Hey sorry I was gone,” Jason said, not really sure what else to say.
Alfred looked from Jason to Danny to Jason, double take on Danny. His face was hard to read. Jason was kind of nervous.
Alfred stepped out of the doorway. Behind him was B.
“Jason!?”
“Yeah. Hi.”

SENSITIVE | BOOTHILL , ANAXA , SUNDAY X M!READER
⊹ 𓂃 1.0k words : top.dom!reader + bot.sub!characters
thank you all for 100 followers! it truly means a lot to me, i didn’t really think this little project to get back into writing was gonna go anywhere. but here we are i guess, fucking fictional characters because we can. i also apologize in advance, this isn't my best writing as i'm still getting out of the flow of school, and i'm still not the best at smut... anyways enjoy making hot men moaning in writing, and we'll be back to tooth rotting fluff soon enough <3
Tumblr media
on today's roster we have:
- boothill wireplay
- anaxa’s chest hole thingy
- sunday’s wings
Tumblr media
BOOTHILL | WIRES
Boothill doesn’t let anyone touch his wires. But maybe you’re the exception. He doesn’t keep any of them physically visible, but he occasionally has to let you open the port on his lower back for maintenance. He always gets really squirrelly whenever you’re poking around in there– and you thought it was because he was worried you’d mess something up, but he always says he trusts you with everything. So why…?
aAAh–mmmgh–! D-darlin’, don’t touch that.
Oh. That’s why.
That’s a place you’ve never touched, apparently. But you like how he reacted. Really like it. It wouldn’t hurt if you just… did it again? You reach back into the port, the small grooves of your fingertips brushing against the wires again.
What, like this?
Fuck, fuck-! Ah!
His whole body lurches forward, trying to get away from your touch, the sensations overwhelming his circuit board. You grab a bunch of the wires and pull back, forcing him back towards you. In hindsight, it wasn’t safe in the slightest to pull at his wires like that, but that’s a problem for you in the future. His mechanical limbs creak to a stop before flying back towards you, and your arm snakes around the front of his waist, holding him in place. You hold one wire in your hand, and fidget with it, your fingers brushing up and down the insulation.
What’s wrong, cowboy? Something wrong?
Plea––mhf, hnngh- s-sensitive-!
Hm. You seem like you’re enjoying it though, no? You look so pretty like this.
His whole body goes lax at the praise, and his head drops back onto your shoulder as his eyes roll back into his head, his mouth hung open in a silent scream as you tug at the wire again.
Maybe he won’t dread maintenance day anymore.
Tumblr media
ANAXA | VOID
You’ve always been fascinated with your professor. Honestly, there’s a lot of parts to it, but there’s one thing that always keeps you distracted during class, keeps you up at night, hands working tirelessly under the covers. That void.
That damn fucking void.
You have no clue as to what it is, but all you know is you want to touch it. That’s probably not how you should be thinking about your professor, but it is. Anaxagoras does things to you that will (hopefully) never leave the confines of your mind, but he has a way of just knowing. He always knows.
Excuse me, sir. But class is over, which usually entails that the students are not still here.
Oh. Uh, shit. Sorry, professor. Just… lost in thought.
Hm. Credit for your thoughts?
No sir.
Pardon?
It’s… not really appropriate.
As is any growing pupil’s mind.
Ah. Um, what is it? Your… um…
You stare directly at the void, almost hypnotized by its seemingly never-ending expanse inside of his chest. And what scares you is that you can swear that it stares back. What does it feel like? Is it soft? Liquidy? Would it suck you in? Spit you out? Fuck, is he getting closer? Your hand hovers over the opening, but what surprises you is that he doesn’t stop you. He doesn’t step back, doesn’t grab your wrist, doesn’t push your hand away, doesn’t even say anything. So, you reach. Your pointer finger dips into the abyss, and your gaze juts towards him as he braces himself on the edge of your desk. His head droops like a willow, and you swear you can see his pupils dilate. His breathing grows more rigid, and out of pure ecstasy, he does grab your wrist. Except, he pushes it deeper. It’s wet. Soft, pliable, shifts around and rearranges the stars around your fingers. You curl your finger, and he all but moans, his head dropping back into the air.
Oh, Aeons. Ahhh, sshit. S-sensitive.
And thus, your curiosity has been fulfilled. Although, there’s so much more you could put in there…
Tumblr media
SUNDAY | FEATHERS
Nngh– dove, please–!
Please what, birdie?
You slide in and out of him, his folds sucking you into him as you rearrange his insides.
Please, please, I n-need more. Dove, p-please.
His wings tremble around him, the feathers quivering around his face, trying to hide his eyes. You pull his wings away, gentle but firm. He whimpers and tilts his head back as his back arches up for his stomach to meet yours. He surrenders, bending and tucking them back behind his ears. You rarely ever touch his wings, but you’re the only one he lets even brush against them. They’re sensitive normally, but when he’s in heat, oh fuck does he go wild when you touch them.
Don’t hide, birdie. Let me see you.
Please, ‘s so much, please touch them more.
Your wish is my command.
As he asked, your hands make contact with as much of his feathers as you possibly can, and his body lights up like wildfire. He cries out, and his whole body screams with him as he squirts around you. His wings quiver around his body, and it’s like a jolt of delight shoots up his spine, sending his body up towards you. He practically jumps into your arms, and his legs; already wrapped around your waist, constricts around your body like a vice. Your arms wrap around his back, and you slowly rub his back.
Breathe birdie, breathe. ‘M right here. Take a rest.
Y-you didn’t cum though…
It doesn’t matter. I’m happy you felt good.
I love you, dove.
I love you too, birdie.

Tumblr media
You never thought you could get this low.
You also never thought you’d come home to find your now ex-boyfriend balls deep in his coworker he told you not to worry about.
Way past the stages of hurt and with no more tears left to spill, you found yourself angry. You were pissed at your ex for being unfaithful. Pissed at the woman for fucking around with a man she knew was not available. And pissed at yourself for not figuring it out sooner. Once you got over your sorrows and finally felt able to pull yourself together, you just wanted to rid your apartment of anything that reminded you of him.
That's how you found yourself across the table from that rat bastard's boss. A box full of his old shit perched in your lap and your nails tapping the side of the cardboard. Scanning the room of Mr. Fushiguro's luxurious office and finding yourself filling with rage all over again knowing that the last time you were here, you were helping him get promoted.
"Pleasure seeing you again," you watched as Mr. Fushiguro took a seat in his plush office chair, "though it appears you're here to play the part of 'scorned girlfriend' instead of ‘concerned girlfriend, hm?’ Word travels fast ‘round here.”
"Ex-girlfriend."
"Right," he clasped his hands together over his chest and kicked his feet up onto his desk, knocking over his name plate, “so what're you here for, scorned ex-girlfriend?"
"Just want to give his shit back. Passing it on to you so I won't have to see him and blondie going at it in your breakroom." You watched the man crack a smile before speaking again.
"S'all you’re gonna do?" He knew your answer by the way you tore your eyes off of him and focused them on the box in your lap instead. Slightly slumping down in your chair as if you were a child in trouble trying to evade the scrutinizing gaze of a parent “Oh, don’t tell me you’re just gonna let bygones be bygones and let him get away with it scott free.”
His tone made you feel like your entire situation was almost comical. You looked back up and narrowed your eyes at the man. Scanning his face and watching the scar on his lip twitch when the corner turned up in a smirk.
“Mr. Fushiguro-“
“Don’t have to be all formal now, call me Toji.”
“Okay, what exactly are you implying, Toji?” he sighed before standing up from his desk and fixing his name plate, smirk never falling from his lips and eyes never leaving yours.
“I know he is my employee, but i’m not really… fond of him either. And you’re too pretty of a girl to just let him get away with cheating. It’d make you feel better to hurt ‘em a little bit. Get a little revenge.”
You broke away eye contact from him again to look around his office. Taking note of how sparsely decorated the area was as you pondered and tried to avoid his eyes. It wasn’t the most mature or logical decision, but he was right. It would make you feel better to make him hurt just a little bit. “And how exactly might I go about that?”
Toji laughed a little as he walked around the desk, taking the box out of your lap and placing it on the floor before settling himself behind you. The sweet tobacco scent of his cologne invaded your nostrils as he got closer to you, making his presence feel almost suffocating.
“Y’know what would really get him?” His voice sounded as if it were laced with a honeyed sweetness. The sound surrounding you and ringing around in your ears. He shifted his feet, but you still felt the heat radiating off of him and onto your back.
“What?”You felt him grow closer. Leaning down behind you. So close that you could feel his breath fan against your skin.
“Fuckin’ his boss.”
The lewd suggestion tickled the shell of your ear. Your eyes widening and mouth going dry once you realized exactly what he was proposing to you. You opened your mouth to protest. To tell him how absolutely ridiculous that was, but your words fell short. Closing your mouth again to look down and stare at the indentions the corners of the cardboard box had left in your skin.
You couldn’t say that you hadn’t let your eyes linger a little too long at Toji Fushiguro. Always noticing how easy he was on the eyes when your ex would make you tag along to work events. How his suits would perfectly contour to his body. Showing off his bulging muscles through the fabric. How he seemed to tower over you and everyone else with his height and domineering presence. How your gazes would linger a little too long on each other and how his fingertips would “accidentally” graze your hips when passing you.
You were taken away from your thoughts by the feeling of his fingers slowly caressing up and down your jaw. His touch soft, contrasting the rough calluses that lined his fingers. You also realized he had now moved directly in front of you and you were eye-level with his crotch.
“What’ll it be, sweetness?” The tip of his thumb travelled up to your bottom lip, smearing some of your lipgloss. “Y’gonna let me help you get back at him?”
You slowly looked up at him and nodded your head, still not trusting any words to come out of your mouth. He smiled down at you, removing the hand on your chin to pet your head and using his other to unbutton his slacks.
“Gonna make you feel so good, you’ll forget allllll about your little ex-boyfriend.”
You were still looking up at him dumbly as he freed heavy cock from the confines of his pants, subconsciously parting your lips and slightly sticking out your tongue at the sight of him. Relishing in the way he looked at you and the noises he made once his cock makes contact with your awaiting tongue.
“Already so good and fuckin’ obedient. Did he teach you that?” You shake your head and he cackles. Easing his way into your throat. “So you’re just naturally a whore, huh?” He lightly slaps your cheek, not even hard enough to sting, and moves from petting your head to gripping your hair once you take him all the way into your mouth. Testing your limits and pushing his way past the tight ring of muscle in the back of your throat, loving the way you choke and sputter around him. “Takin’ me so good. Bet that motherfucker couldn’t properly stuff your throat.”
Toji’s right- he couldn’t. He also isn’t quite as big as Toji is either, in both length and girth. It also seems that the man in front of you didn’t learn to fuck from porn like your ex did. Only pushing your limits a little bit at a time and not throatfucking you from the get-go. Also making sure you’re not suffocating on him for too long.
You began to move your tongue over the vein that ran on the underside of his cock, watching in satisfaction as he throws his head back and groans. Doing it again and again and watching his face contort in pleasure.
“Shit, baby, got the sweetest fuckin’ mouth.” His voice is huskier now, almost breathy. You watch as sweat begins to lightly bead across his forehead and his hands come off of you to loosen his tie around his collar. The air becoming too thick and hot for him. You suck him off with much more passion as you get used to his size. Bobbing your head up and down his length and occasionally pulling yourself off to lick on the sensitive skin around his balls. Not paying much mind to the spit that has run from your mouth and covered the bottom half of your face.
“That’s it- hah- fuck yeah… that’s it. Gonna cum down that pretty fuckin’ throat” You kept up your ministrations, using your hand to lightly squeeze his balls as you took his full length down your throat once more. Listening as Toji’s pants became progressively more and more uneven. Only taking a few more short moments before his abs tighten and he takes in a deep inhale as he shoots his load down your throat. His leg twitching as the coil in his belly snaps. Pulling off of him to stick out your tongue and show him that you swallowed it all.
“Such a good fuckin’ girl, aren’t you?” He gripped your chin tightly and you nodded your head dumbly, fiddling with the hem of your skirt. He smiled and gestured for you to walk over to the plush, black couch he kept in his office. A guiding hand resting on your lower back as he layed you down on your stomach. He took his time running his hands from your calves all the way up to your ass, like he was trying to memorize every dip in your skin. Once he reached the hem of your skirt, he flipped it up. Gently running the palms of his hands over the smooth skin and giving the right cheek a harsh slap and soothing the sting with the very same hand that inflicted it.
“Suckin’ dick make you this wet?” Your slick had soiled your panties, smearing onto your thighs. His fingers lightly ran across the soaked fabric. You felt the couch dip under his weight as he settled behind you, feeling the fabric of his haphazardly pulled down pants and the heat of whatever skin that was exposed press into you.
“Sucking yours does.” you gasp as he pushes your panties to the side to make contact with your swollen clit. The cool air of his office hitting your soaked center makes you shiver. “You’re gentler than I thought you’d be.”
“Oh baby,” He pauses, taking his hands off of you to maneuver himself around, “you haven’t had the worst yet.”
You’re comfused until you feel the tip of his cock prodding your entrance and begin to push in. Your walls greedily sucking him in even though it felt as if he was splitting you in two.
“Tight as a fuckin’ virgin, y’gotta open up for me, girl.” His fingers rub tight circles on your clit. Using that to his advantage to thrust his cock deeper and deeper into you until he’s bottomed out. Your hips arching into him as any remnants of pain begin to wash away and are overtaken with white-hot pleasure. His hands find purchase on your hips as his thrusts begin to speed up. Going harder into you and somehow hitting you deeper each time, causing tears to spring in corners of your eyes.
“Already cryin’ on my cock and we’ve barely even started? Slut can’t handle it?” He slaps your ass again, not caring if it stings. You furiously shake your head as moans and whimpers spill from your lips. Trying your hardest to match his brutal pace with your own hips. “Oh, you think you can take control now, huh? I’d watch it, little girl.”
At first you think he pushes your face into the couch with his hand. That’s until you realize that both his hands are still on your hips and it’s actually his foot that’s found its place on the back of your head as he continues to fuck the memory of your ex out of you. Your pussy clenching down on him at the mere thought of the position.
“Like being treated like a whore don’t you? Shitty man couldn’t do it like I can.” You couldn’t respond back even if you tried. Too caught up in the feeling of being stuffed full by the most skilled man you’ve ever fucked and biggest cock you’ve ever taken. Writhing under him as the pleasure of his tip repeatedly hitting your spot over and over again was becoming almost too much.
Toji must’ve felt the way your pussy began to tighten around him or how your moans were so loud the couch wasn’t muffling them well anymore. His hand snaked around your hip and back down to your clit to rub shapes on it, bringing your closer to your peak.
“That’s right, cum on this cock baby. Hah- cum all over my fuckin’ cock.” He spoke to you through gritted teeth and the sound went straight to your core. It wasn’t long after that your back slipped into a deeper arch and your cunt clenched down on him even harder. A white ring of cream forming around the base of his dick as he worked you through your orgasm and worked himself closer to his.
“Such a good girl. You’re gonna take my cum, yeah? Gonna let me fill you up?” You nodded a quick yes, pussy still quaking from your orgasm. the only thing keeping your hips from collapsing into the couch being the vice grip of his strong hands.
The foot pressed into your head was removed and replaced by his right hand gripping your hair and pulling you up to meet his face. Looking him in the eyes for the first time since he started fucking you and seeing the beast of a man he’s become. Pupils blown, hair messy, and face sweaty as his grunts get louder, more aggressive.
“So pretty baby. You’re my good, pretty girl, right? C’mon, daddy a kiss when he cums. You’ve been so. fucking. good.” The last of his words were punctuated by rough thrusts into your heat. His heavy balls slapping against your clit so hard it was making you jump. You craned your head back even more for your lips to meet his in a sloppy, lust-filled kiss as he lets out a final rough grunt into your mouth. The familiar warmth flooding your pussy as his thrusts begin to let up.
He’s gentle with you for the first time in a while, gently resting your head back down to the couch before slowly pulling his softening dick out, tucking it back into his underwear, and smoothing your skirt back down. Rubbing a hand over the arch of your back and letting you rest on his couch as he pulls off your soiled panties and pockets them for himself. Also noticing a patch of your slick that has soiled the front of his pants and smiling as a mix of both of your releases begin to trickle out of your spent hole. Using two of his fingers to push it back in. The room is quiet for the first time in a long while. Only sound being the oscillating box fan in the corner of the room. It says quiet for a while, until you break the silence.
“Don’t even think I can remember the fucker’s name anymore.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.” You turn over onto your back to face him, watching closely as he fixes his suit to the best of his ability. “Wouldn’t mind seeing you again, if you’d like.”
He turns to face you, smirking again, “Can’t say I’d hate that.”
It’s your turn to smirk at him before letting your head roll over and rest again. Consumed with the thoughts of how that was definitely the best revenge plan you ever participated in.
You’re almost drifting off until that same thought wakes you up again. Sitting up to look at Toji.
“Wait, how was any of that a revenge ploy if he didn’t even see it?” Toji smirks, fixing his tie. Not even a second later you hear a knock on his door before Toji gives the visitor permission to enter.
“You wanted to see m-“ Your ex stops mid-sentence once he sees you lounging on his employer’s couch with his cum leaking out of you. “Wait, what is she doing here?”
“Baby brought your shit by.” Toji kicks the box towards him as he pulls your panties out of his back pocket and swinging them around his index finger. “Anything else you need? Or do you just wanna watch me fuck your ex-girl again?”

Josh Levy - Teddy Bear with a Lightsaber
He's not fat.. okay he's fat AND he's big boned.
Tumblr media
Joshua “Josh” Aaron Levy [05/04/80] Secretary of Science Fiction AOL / Online Users: [JediJunkies_80] Theme Songs: Science Fiction Double Feature - Me First and Gimmie Gimmies | Ghost - Mystery Skulls | Aliens Exist - blink-182
Favorite Shit: Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, Twilight Zone, Kaiju, Stargate SG-1 Battlestar Galactica, Klingon, Alternate Earths, Firefly, Planet of the Apes, 12” Action Figures, Torrent Sites, The X-Files, Babylon 5, Akira, Farscape, Boba Fett
Despite his (well earned) grievances, he still hangs around these fuckers cause he can't really seem to find solace anywhere else, even online spaces. He didn't expect to find any enjoyment out of going to tournaments with Jerry, but an excuse to get good city food and walk around the comic shops they were held in were enough in his book to keep him coming back. He even managed to find a space themed tabletop he likes to play, and... y'know.. maybe other reasons..
But we don't talk about him shit uh IT UH--
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Never tell me the odds.
Oh Joshybear my beloved you poor antagonistic shitsmear.
His mom is in the hospital a lot more often or just straight up bed bound, which makes him kind of never want to leave his room out of guilt.
Yes, this dingus still blames himself for it, though it's not like his father helps with that.
Whenever he isn't holed up in his room, he's trying to drag somebody anybody out of the house to do something. Anything to get his mind off of stupid emotional shit--
He often goes with Jerry into the inner city when he has tournaments, especially when nobody else really wants to go. Sometimes he even covers Jerry bus fair or just borrows his mom's car.
However, this fucker HATES driving. It makes him the most anxious he's ever been his entire life. It is nothing like video games and it is nothing like the Millennium Falcon, that's for damn certain.
He also hates trying to park because he is deathly afraid of hitting the side of someone's car with the door.
Josh actually doesn't meet Matt at the same time as Jerry, surprisingly enough. Jerry introduces them when they bump into each other at the shop for a non-tournament related reason.
Josh nearly had a panic attack on the spot but it's fine
The moment he heard Matt had never seen the Star Wars films he nearly lost his mind.
This became the entire basis of Josh's attachment to the dude: "I have to show him the cinematic masterpiece that is this damn franchise."
And that's all it is. Mhmm. Totally. Don't ask why his hands are clammy and he's even more show-offy than normal whenever he's around. Don't.
please?
He works with his dad at their Synagogue as essentially a secretary and sound technician, but hey, it lets him write his fanfictions Reimaginings and scroll through blogs in peace, right?
And it keeps him out of his dad's hair and the house, so it's kind of a win-win-win.. win?
Tumblr media
I love him
I want to eat him.
A DOUBLE POST???? HJGDSAJKHDKSJALHDLK You're welcome
Tumblr media
Also don't worry guys, you'll get a WHOLE lot more info on Matt soon. He's not an affiliated member of the club and I didn't have many drawings of him (despite my.. excessive notes...) so I'm cranking them out as I post this.
NOW LOVE THE BIG MAN ON CAMPUS DAMNIT.
also hi I know his pants look weird shut up nothing else looked better.

Dave loved his job. It made his family happy, paid well, gave back to the community in a meaningful way (unlike those pathetic annual fun-runs held by the town council). He wore his title with pride - David York, D.D.S.
Deft fingers lightly adjusted the small silver pin on the breast pocket of his jacket. Tooth shaped, naturally. He flashed a quick grin at his reflection in the sun visor mirror of his car; pristine rows of dazzling white teeth that did more for business than any marketing scheme.
Of all the noble intent one may have for entering the line of dentistry, so many failed to acknowledge the real allure; the very reason why Dave had committed so many years to the mastery of his skills.
Control.
Statistics would try to tell you that around half of the population had a fear of visiting the dentist. Dave knew better though. He saw it all - the anxious twiddle of thumbs in the waiting room, the minute beads of perspiration gathering across a person's hairline, the tick of a jaw as he called out a name with a charming smile.
No one enjoyed coming to see him at work, and he relished in it. With his returning patients, the fear lingered; the innate worry remaining ever-present even after being subject to his charm. Perhaps it was the vulnerability? The relegation of autonomy?
That’s what did it for Dave, at least. As he strolled through the doors of his practice, he gave a brief wave to the receptionist before turning his gaze to survey the patients dotted around on pleather chairs.
A bald man, sweating profusely, a hand at his jaw and brows furrowed. A woman wrestling a squirming toddler that she couldn’t seem to settle. Another man, a few years younger than himself; a mouth full of metal that no doubt chewed away at his cheeks, adding to the unsightly swelling of his lower face.
And then there was you.
Arms crossed over your chest, a leg bouncing up and down repeatedly. A single finger between your lips as you gnawed away at the skin of your nail bed. The epitome of apprehension; radiating trepidation. Something about the way you refused to meet his gaze, as if looking him in the eyes would make it all real, made Dave’s mouth water.
Walking out of the clinic’s lounge and into his operatory, Dave got to work. Suit jacket shrugged off and hung swiftly after; computer booted up and medical records printed. His routine never deviated - he moved with clinical precision, gathering equipment and PPE as if it were second nature.
The room itself was as white as the teeth he worked on, apart from the black leather furnishings - his own personal touch; he never could stand the flimsy plastic shit he’d been forced to endure during dental school. There was an aseptic quality to the very air of the clinic.
The next hour passed quickly enough as Dave worked on mouth after mouth, taking special care to ensure each patient saw the reflection of their own anxiety in the cold surgical steel instruments he wielded before their faces. He couldn't help himself - the more worked up they became, the more he enjoyed the task at hand.
Whilst finishing up some notes, a knock at the door echoed over the linoleum. Timid. Barely there.
"Come in."
The shuffle of footsteps reached his ears; back still turned to the door as he pulled up the next patient's records. New to the practice - new to the neighbourhood too it would seem, based on their previous clinic's location. The hinge of his chair creaked as he turned and there you were.
You were so quiet, so placid. And those lips, the bottom one quivering ever so slightly - fuck, he was going to get a semi just looking you over. Instead, Dave put on his signature grin, head tilting to one side as he stood, gesturing to the dental chair in the centre of the room.
"Please, take a seat; no need to be shy."
There was a hesitation to your movements, each step cautious as you slowly sidled your way over to the chair. He could feel the energy in the room building; thrumming the exact way he knew your heart would be against your ribcage. No doubt that the tension could be sliced clean in half with a single flourish of his dental bur.
As you rested your head against the sterile black leather, Dave clicked his tongue at you; a quiet, condescending sound predicating the words he spoke next.
"Think you can manage a few words to tell me why you're here today?"
The grin on his face remained as he leant over you, adjusting the chair until you were near enough horizontal. He preferred this angle with all of his patients; liked to watch the rapid rise and fall of their chests whilst he worked. In that regard, you were a real treat. "J-Just an annual check-up and clean", you'd murmured, stumbling over your words in the most delicious display of fear.
Dave plucked a pair of black latex gloves from a container set to one side, sliding each on with a squeak and a snap. He didn't fail to notice the way you'd flinched as the elastic pinged against his wrist - exquisite.
"Great - let's get started then, shall we?"
It was a formality more than a genuine question - he knew that from here on out, he held the power. Your pupils were so dilated that when Dave leant over you, he could see the reflection of his rolled shirt sleeves in the deep black pools.
"Open wide for me... that's it."
The plush pink expanse of your tongue glistened under the bright bulbs overheard, quivering as he moved the oral mirror toward the rows of pearly whites cocooning it. It wasn't much use - the hot, heavy breaths you seemed unable to control fogged up the tool. Fuck, if this wasn't the most inviting mouth he had ever peered into.
Removing the mirror and setting it to one side, a patronising smile breaching his features, Dave spoke softly.
"I make you nervous, don't I?"
He already knew the answer - of course he made you nervous. He just needed to hear it. Needed to diminish any sense of fight you might have left in you; to properly scare you into submission. Speaking it aloud made it real. "Y-Yes, I'm sorry, I-", you began to stammer out, but he cut you off mid-flow with a tut.
"Listen - have you ever heard of something called twilight sedation?"
The pitiful look of confusion that spread across your face - God, you got better and better with each passing minute.
"It's just a little injection, chills you out. Works nice and fast, and a lot of the time, people don't even remember their session with me afterwards."
He could practically hear the cogs whirring in your head. Mulling over such an appetising offer - the opportunity to relax and maybe, just maybe, forget the entire encounter. "I-Is that something I can h-have?", you all but squeaked. Music to his fucking ears.
"I think it would be for the best - I'll go get the IV and we'll get started, yeah?"
Ironically, Dave could feel his own heart rate begin to pick up as he discarded his gloves and headed out into the corridor toward the store room. The tension in the room was palpable when he returned, meticulously setting up the IV.
"Just a sharp scratch now, and... perfect."
It was moments like these that made the job all the more appealing.
Memories of watching nature documentaries with his daughters - the sadness in their eyes when they realised that whichever unsuspecting small creature was being observed by a much larger, hungrier animal. The slow pan of the camera as the predator moves in; the false sense of security snatched away in a flash of canines or claws.
That's the way the world works, my loves, he'd murmur as he consoled them, this is why it's so important to stay in control.
When your eyes became a little hazy, Dave knew he had you right where he wanted you. Not unconscious - he wasn't sick in the head. Just woozy, the benzo in your system lulling you into a comfortable heaviness. He wasn't going to hurt you, and you wouldn't remember any of this even if he did.
"How are you feeling?"
Flat. Cold. You blinked up at him slowly, contented. Such pretty eyes, even when they weren't overwhelmed with panic. He smiled, using a gloved thumb to coax your lips apart, leaning over to take another look; he was at work after all. Not even plaque marked your teeth - you were a dentist's wet dream.
Turning his back to you, he wheeled over a tray of equipment, speaking softly as he went. You were so placated after all, it seemed only right to make this a little easier for you.
"You've got a few issues cropping up, ones that I'd like to nip in the bud before they become major. I'm going to give you a few small injections along your gums to numb you up - don't want you getting all panicky again, do we?"
Your head tipped left to right ever so lethargically; a hum of agreement rumbling from your throat.
"Perfect. You're doing wonderfully. Now, say 'ahh' for me."
And you did, so obediently. Lidocaine syringe in hand, Dave got to work. Your little winces and hisses slowly disappeared as the numbing agent took affect - a shame really; the sound made his cock twitch in his slacks. A dozen pricks later and a steady stream of saliva was making its way out of the corner of your mouth.
Syringe deposited back on the stainless steel tray, he picked up the nozzle for the saliva ejector and set it into the hollow of your cheek. The machine was loud as it quickly dealt with the pooling spit at the back of your throat. Perfect. He'd need something to fill the silence.
He indulged himself, just for a moment - pressing a flat palm against his crotch and rubbing a few times whilst his back was turned once more. He needn’t have bothered - your sniveling display of fear was ample aphrodisiac for him; erection now straining against the material confines of his boxers.
The way your eyes widened as he turned around was the final nail in the coffin; adept fingers tugging at the leather belt at his hips. The sedative being drip-fed into your veins worked remarkably well - your fingers scrambling for purchase against the leather armrests of the chair, arms too heavy to lift. A warbled sound of protest rose from your chest and reached his ears as it bounced across the linoleum.
"Shh, you're in very capable hands. Just relax - I won't be long."
He cupped the back of your head with a tenderness so alien considering the circumstances, tilting it until your cheek was flush to the leather beneath it. Another murmur of sound as he pushed his boxers down; cock springing free. He couldn't help but think about how much smaller your mouth looked now that the leaking head of his length was there to directly compare.
Your attempt at closing your mouth was feeble; endearing. You couldn't even close your lips around the suction device still hanging between them - it didn't stop you from trying though. A quick flick of his wrist and your cheek came into contact with the powdered latex glove covering his left hand.
"See how that didn't hurt?"
One hand cradled the base of your skull, the other slowly pumping his cock as he shifted on his feet.
"Going to need you to open up for me now. Nice and wide."
As he spoke, he smeared the bead of pre-cum at his tip across those soft lips of yours. He could feel the way your neck flexed under his hand as you tried your best to writhe away; watched the tears prick instinctively in the corners of your eyes.
There wasn't much you could do to resist as he slowly sunk the weeping head of his cock past your lips, muffling the shrill whine of dismay that you let out. Honestly, he couldn't have made this easier for you - all you had to do was lay there and stay still after all. A rumble of satisfaction left Dave's mouth as he pushed further into your own.
You whimpered, eyes wide and glossy as he fed you inch after inch, the sound reverberating against him and doing little more than spurring him on. Your mouth was fucking divine - hot, slick and oh so soft. The gurgle of the saliva ejector, still flush to your inner cheek, blended with the grunts that Dave couldn't stifle.
"Breathe through your nose, sweetheart. Or don't - fuck - makes no difference to me."
He started to set a rhythm with his hips, hand still held firmly on the back of your head. When you gagged as he dipped into the back of your throat - Christ, it was all he could do to not spill his load there and then. The way the muscles of your neck contracted, trying in vain to keep him out as he continued to rock back and forth, clenching around him over and over.
Pulling all the way out for just a moment, you gasped and spluttered before he sank all the way back in with a groan. Your knuckles were taut against the armrests as he ensured your tonsils became well acquainted with the head of his cock. Each thrust against your tongue was dizzying, and he could feel himself quickly being won over by pleasure.
"Perfect fucking mouth, not much longer."
His words came out as a lusty hiss, hips beginning to stutter, barely retreating from the sanctuary of your throat. Why would he? If he wasn't meant to cum as far down it as possible, then why did it hug his dick so perfectly?
Using his free hand, he pulled the nozzle of the suction device from your mouth, flipping the switch and turning the machine off. No longer concealed by the thrum and whir of the ejector, the slick squelch of your mouth and the choked gurgles you let out echoed around the room. That was his undoing.
Pulling your head snug to his lower stomach, Dave buried himself as deep as possible before spilling down your throat with a shuddery groan. Your tear-stained eyes barely even blinked as he coated the inside of your mouth with his cum; completely zoned out and staring straight ahead.
As the aftershocks of his high ebbed away, he slowly pulled out of your mouth - not without admiring the pearly string of saliva connecting your tongue and his softening cock first. You coughed, your swollen lips glistening as you gulped in air. Dave couldn't help the giddy smile that tugged at the corners of his mouth.
"Wasn't so bad now, was it?"
Clinical professionalism resumed as he tucked his now flaccid dick back into his boxers, re-dressing without so much as a hair out of place.
"Let's get this IV detached - that's it, nice and easy."
The rosy hue from his cheeks dissipated as he worked. His heart rate settled as he changed his gloves once again. Work mode resumed with practiced ease for Dave. He slowly readjusted the dental chair, bringing your head up cautiously as if he hadn't just bruised the roof of your mouth with the vigor of his thrusts.
The glaze over your eyes from the sedative slowly but surely faded; the numbing effect of the lidocaine weakening - the way you stretched out your jaw, brow furrowed as you attempted to piece together the cause behind the ache that crept in, was a dead giveaway.
"How are you feeling?"
His tone was calm, collected. It had to be - he had to gauge how much you'd retained without arousing suspicion. "A little bit... woozy. What... what happened again?" - your slurred words elicited a wide smile on Dave's face.
"Had to do a little bit of scaling on some of your incisors. You did very well though, should be proud of yourself."
Ah, that delightful expression of misplaced pride on your face would be a highlight for the day; the perfect contrast to how utterly pathetic you had looked just moments prior. After a few minutes of reeling off the usual spiel, Dave gestured to the door with the same signature grin he had greeted you with. "Thank you - I've always struggled at the dentist; I'll have to recommend you to my friend, they're a real wuss as well", you chuckled.
Oh. You were just the gift that kept on giving, it seemed.
"Send them my way, by all means. Anyway, I'll see you in six months time - remember to floss!"

“You finally get arrested and it’s by goddamn rent-a-cops,” Tommy was beaming as he and Joel made their way from the police station to his truck. “Only you could make gettin’ in trouble this fuckin’ lame.”
“It wasn’t a rent-a-cop,” Joel said, grinding his teeth. “It was university police.”
“That’s a rent-a-cop.”
“They’re real police!” Joel said.
Tommy scoffed.
“Not like you’re gonna have a record now.”
“Only because they let me go without charging me with shit,” Joel said. “No idea why… Shouldn’t have even called you, wasn’t trying to waste your time.”
“Not like you knew they were going to just let you go,” Tommy said, serious now. “I was Googling attorneys and shit, I thought I was going to have to bail your ass out for a change. Nice that they didn’t lock you up.”
“Yeah,” Joel said as they reached Tommy’s truck. They got in and buckled up and Joel sighed, looking out the window. “Just wish I knew why.”
He was at a loss. The police had hauled him out of your office so fast he didn’t even get a chance to find out what you were thinking, if you had anything at all to say. If he was right about the book, God he hoped he was right about the book.
He thought - or maybe just hoped - that you’d show up at the police station. They threw him in a holding cell with a few college-aged fuckups and he watched the door, half convinced that you’d come walking in. Like if he just stared at it long enough you’d appear, come inside and walk right up to the bars and grab him and kiss him. Or at least yell at him.
But you didn’t.
Instead, he just stood there, watching the door, until a cop came over to take his information and  gave him the chance to call someone. Tommy got there about the same time as the same cop came over to tell Joel that he was free to go, at least for now.
“So,” Tommy said eventually, drumming his hands on the steering wheel. “You gonna tell me exactly how you got your ass arrested by rent-a-cops?”
Joel quirked his jaw.
“Not saying you have to or anything,” Tommy continued. “But if you don’t tell me I will just make up some shit and it’ll be lame. Real lame. Like they caught you with a flask on campus and mistook you for a freshman lame.”
“I…” Joel sighed. “I might have done something stupid.”
“Likely thing for you to do,” Tommy said.
“Fuck off.”
“Sorry, sorry,” Tommy said. “I’ll lay off but… c’mon, man. This is weird for you. You got me worried, you don’t do shit like this.”
“I know,” Joel said, wondering if maybe he’d done something like this sooner - like when he saw that fucking guy kissing you years ago - maybe everything would be different now. “I… I read Goldie’s book.”
“Alright…” Tommy said, glancing his way. “Last time I checked, that ain’t illegal.”
“It’s not,” Joel said. “But… I’d never read it before and… Look, maybe I’m crazy, maybe it’s all fiction but it don’t feel like fiction and… I think she… she might… she might feel the same way I do.”
“Oh shit,” Tommy laughed, grinning like an idiot. “Fuck yeah, man!”
“I went to talk to her,” Joel said. “But she was there with her fucking husband and I overheard one of her students say he hit on her and then I went to her office and he was kissing her and I… I just… I punched him.”
“Good for you!” Tommy clapped him on the shoulder. “About damn time somebody put that jackass in his place. What’d Goldie say?”
“Not much,” Joel sighed. “Not like we got a chance to really talk. Said the book was ancient history, asked why I cared… Kept hoping she’d show up at the station but…”
Tommy pulled up alongside Joel’s truck and he sighed.
“Least I wasn’t locked up when I needed to get Sarah from school,” he muttered.
“Don’t matter,” Tommy said. “I’m gonna go get her.”
“What?” Joel laughed.
“Not going to let you chicken out on this shit,” Tommy said. “I got Sarah, you go talk to Goldie. Actually talk to her, not yell some shit at her and then punch her husband. You’re finally - fucking finally - doing something about it. You’re finally going after what you want and I’m not going to let you give up because you got arrested by some mall cop on steroids.”
“Tommy…”
“I’m serious,” Tommy said. “I’ll get Sarah from school, she can stay with me tonight. Go get your girl, Joel.”
Joel smiled a little. His brother might have more faith in him than he deserved but goddamn, it felt good.
“Alright,” Joel said. “I’m gonna go get my girl.”
He went to call you, just in case you unblocked him, but his phone was broken, the entire outer case bent - probably from when one of the cops wrestled him away from your office. He considered, for a minute, just going back to your office but he didn’t want to get arrested again.
So he went home, just to grab your book. He wasn’t really sure why but he wanted it. He wanted to hold it in his hands, have something solid and yours there with him while he did this. He took a quick look in the mirror, feeling a little like the boy he was when he went to pick you up for prom. Everything felt so consequential, the way his hair fell against his forehead and the way his shirt hung on his body, anything that might help you look at him like he was something worth wanting suddenly vitally important in his reflection.
“Right,” he said to no one but himself before taking a deep breath. “Now or never.”
He drove to your house. He thought about getting flowers or something on the way but what if that was too much? What if this wasn’t what you wanted and something like flowers made it worse? Why didn’t he just know what to do? Loving you felt like the most natural thing in the world, why wasn’t telling you just as easy?
He came to your door with nothing but your book in his hands and he was pretty sure you weren’t home but he knocked, anyway. He paced for a minute when you didn’t answer, then stood there, clenching his jaw and staring out at the road like a dumbass before he decided to just sit down and wait because what the fuck else was he going to do.
After what felt like forever - but probably wasn’t much time at all - Joel opened the book.
He wasn’t looking for anything in particular but he found himself lingering on the parts where Cressida and Eli were together and, if not happy, at least hopeful. He was reading a passage where they were all tangled up in each other and while it was sensual, the intimacy of it came from the deep knowing and understanding the two shared. It was a feeling, Joel thought, that could only be found in one person. He’d spent half his life searching for it again and never found it and he wanted it, he wanted it so bad it hurt.
“When you said you read it, I assumed it was the whole thing, not just the first 50 pages.”
Joel’s head shot up from the book and found you standing on your walk with your house keys in your hand.
He jumped up, snapping the book shut when he did.
“I did,” he said. “I was just… I wanted to read it again. Parts of it again.”
You nodded slowly and walked up to him, stopping close enough that he could reach out and grab you and kiss you if you’d just let him.
“I tried calling,” you said. “It went straight to voicemail.”
“Oh, uh,” Joel passed the book from one hand to the other and pulled his phone out, holding it up as proof. “It broke, probably when I got arrested but… well, since you blocked my number, wasn’t too worried about it.”
You frowned, eyebrows knitting together.
“Blocked you? I didn’t block you.”
“Think you did,” Joel laughed a little. “Believe it or not, turning up at your office wasn’t my first choice but I got a message that said your number was unavailable when I called so…”
Your frown deepened and you pulled out your phone, scrolling on it for a moment before gaping at the screen.
“Son of a bitch,” you swore. “That…” You looked at Joel again. “I didn’t block you, I’m guessing Gale did sometime in the last few days…”
“Where is your husband?” Joel asked, looking over your shoulder. “Not gonna let me get another swing on him is he?”
You laughed once.
“He’s at the hospital,” you said. “I don’t think he’ll be showing his face here any time too soon.”
“Good,” Joel said. “You deserve better than that asshole.”
You smiled tightly.
“What are you doing here, Joel.”
“I…” he searched your face for some indication of what you thought, what you wanted, but even though he knew your face better than any other he couldn’t seem to read you. “I needed to see you, I had to see you, baby, I…”
You bit your lip and he fought the urge to pull it free of your teeth and run his thumb over you there.
“Let’s go inside,” you said. “We… we can talk. Just talk. If that’s OK.”
His heart beat a little faster. He could work with that.
“Yeah,” he said quickly. “Let’s talk.”
***
Your heart was pounding, so hard and fast you thought Joel must be able to hear it.
But if he could, he didn’t say anything. You just let the two of you into your house and tried to force yourself to stay calm, to not let your racing thoughts get too far ahead of yourself.
You hadn’t expected to find him on your front porch when you got home. You’d called him. You’d called the police station again but he’d left by then. You’d even tried going by his house but no one was home and you had this sinking feeling that you’d blown it, somehow. Not that you even knew what ‘it’ was but it seemed as though the moment in your office was a breaking point you didn’t know existed and it was behind you now and there was nothing you could do to get it back.
And then Joel was there on your porch, a copy of your book in his hands, one that he was reading so intently he hadn’t even noticed you drive up.
You hung your bag on a hook and put your keys in the dish by the door and Joel followed behind you, his eyes intent enough on you that you could feel them even at your back.
“Can I get you a drink or anything?” You asked, more for something to say than anything else because what the fuck were your supposed to say in this situation?
“Not here for a drink, Goldie.”
“OK,” you said, turning to face him as you stood in the middle of your living room because sitting down felt too strange. You crossed your arms over your chest to keep from touching him. “Why are you here, Joel?”
“I read your book,” he said quickly. “And I know it took me long enough but I just couldn’t… I thought it was gonna be about you and that fucking guy but it wasn’t and… Goldie, I need to know if it was about us.”
Your fingers dug into your arms as you tightened your grip on yourself, your stomach churning.
“What does it matter if it was?” You asked. “I didn’t need to ask your permission to write about my own life, that’s not how that works and…”
“No, Jesus,” he cut you off. “I… I don’t care, you can write about whatever you want with me but Goldie, is this how you felt? Back then, when we were kids, was this -” he held up the book “-how you felt?”
You frowned and looked at the book. It was signed, your signature broad and looping on the dust jacket.
“Where did you get that?” You asked. “I never signed a copy for you…”
He lowered the book, looking at the cover for a moment before looking back at you.
“I bought it online,” he said. “Some charity auction thing, years ago. I… I wanted a copy that felt more like it came from you. Stop changing the subject, please, and just… we have to actually fucking talk about this, baby, we can’t keep avoiding it forever because it hurts. Please. It’ll wreck us both.”
“Yes, OK?” You said, louder and more forcefully than you’d really meant to and you had to take a breath to calm down, closing your eyes because you weren’t sure you could look at him and admit this. “Yes, that… that’s how I felt.”
“Goldie…”
“Please don’t make this a thing, Joel,” you said, looking toward your windows because anywhere was better than looking at him. “Please don’t.”
But he didn’t let you turn away from him. Instead, he closed the small gap between you and took your face firmly in his large hand, his grip on you tight.
“Goldie,” he said softly. “Look at me.”
You steeled yourself and obeyed, tears already starting to build and you tried to hold them back as best you could.
“Do you still feel that way?” He asked quietly.
“Don’t do this to me, Joel,” you whispered. “Please.”
“Don’t do what?” He asked, his eyes tracing your face again and again.
“Don’t ask me to…” you took a deep, shaky breath. “Don’t ask me to be the one to ruin everything. I can’t…”
“I love you,” he cut you off. “There, now it ain’t you, it’s me.”
“Joel…”
“I love you,” he said it again. “I’ll keep saying it, I don’t care. I love you. I loved you then, too, and…”
You pulled yourself away from him, shaking your head, desperate for some distance. It didn’t make sense, none of this made sense.
“Don’t do that, don’t lie to me because you feel guilty or whatever,” you said, tears falling now. “I know how you felt, Joel, I heard you. If… if things changed, then… then maybe we can… I don’t know, but don’t lie and tell me that I was anything to you back then, alright? I know it was forever ago now, I know we were kids, but it still hurts, OK? It hurts, it hurts every fucking time I look at you but I just keep living with it because you’re worth it to me and-”
He grabbed you and kissed you then, harsh and rough and forceful and your body bowed to his instinctively, curving and arching into his touch, kissing him back desperately before you remembered what you were doing here and pulled back from him. Your eyes were wide, lips swollen, cheeks wet and Joel was panting for breath, watching you.
“Don’t do that!” You shook his hands from you and wiped your mouth with the back of your wrist. “Stop trying to distract me, stop treating me like I’m just some girl you fuck, just stop!”
“That’s not what I’m doin’, baby,” he said. His voice was calm, sure. “Swear I’m not.”
“Then what were you doing in your kitchen?” You demanded, trying to make yourself calm down and failing. “After Sarah’s party, what were you doing then?”
Joel looked like he was trying not to smile.
“What!” You demanded.
“You love me, too,” he said.
“Joel.”
“S’why you’re all worked up,” he said. “I love you and you love me, too. I’ll feel better when you actually say it, but…”
You shook your head, your heart beating a frantic rhythm against your ribs.
“You’re being mean,” you said.
“I’m not trying to be,” he said. “I love you.”
“Stop saying that.”
“No,” he said. “I love you.”
“Then why would you do that?” You cried. “Why did you treat me like I was just… just…”
“Just what, baby.”
“Just a warm body!” You said.
“Baby…”
“That’s what it felt like!” You kept going, on a tear now. “That’s what it felt like back then when you avoided me and you told your friend how it would have been better if you’d fucked anyone besides me, that’s what it felt like every time you avoided me because you caved to whatever baser instinct you had and touched me a few months ago, that’s what it felt like when you practically fucked me in your kitchen and made it sound like all we were to each other was some way to get off and that might be true for you, Joel, but it was never that way for me!
“And it’s pathetic! Because when we were kids, I felt so bad for all the girls you’d fuck and leave. I pitied them! I thought they were so desperate and sad and then I turned into one of them! And I… I just…”
“Just what,” Joel said softly.
“I just…” your voice broke and your eyes met his. “I can’t be nothing to you, Joel. I can’t.”
“Oh baby,” he said, so gently. He delicately took your face in his hands and dried your tears, thumbs curving over the arch of your cheekbones. “You’re everything.”
You rolled your eyes and looked away, scoffing.
“Joel…”
“You gonna let me talk for a minute?” He asked, brows raised, his hands moving to your shoulders. “Because I think we need to.”
You sniffed and gritted your teeth for a moment but you nodded, anyway.
“Well, you’re a lot smarter than me but you’re wrong about a lot,” he said. You opened your mouth to protest but he gave you a look and you closed it again and he smiled a little. “Thank you. Promise I’ll let you yell at me once this is all out, alright?”
You just sniffled and nodded again.
“I have loved you since that day on the football field almost 20 goddamn years ago,” he said. Your heart beat faster. “Pretty sure the first time I saw you holdin’ that damn gold notebook of yours I was a goner. I was just… I was young and dumb - still pretty dumb to be honest…”
“Shut up,” you shoved him lightly. “You’re not dumb.”
“No, I am,” he said. “Because I let my fear and my insecurity keep me from telling you all of this years ago. You were so smart and talented and driven and even then, I knew you were going to be something. Figured there wasn’t a chance in hell that you’d want someone like me so why would I try. All I’d do was fuck up what we had. But then prom happened and I panicked.”
“You said anyone would have been better than me,” you said softly, searching his face for some sign that he was sugar coating this in some way. “I heard you…”
“I know,” he said. “I didn’t know you’d heard me then but I know what I said. Took me a while to remember it after you told me but I did and… Look, I know… I know you think I was sleeping with those girls back in high school but… I wasn’t.”
You frowned.
“What?”
“Prom night…” he sighed, wincing a little as he did. “That… that was my first time, too.”
You looked at him like you were waiting for a punch line but none came.
“But…” you shook your head. “You… You dated all those girls then and…”
“Yeah,” he laughed. “Yeah, I was tryin’ to get my best friend out of my system. Didn’t work so well for me in the end and then all I really had going for me was that you thought I was cool and when you assumed I was sleeping with those girls I just… didn’t tell you you were wrong.”
“What does that have to do with anything?” You were so close to him you were sure he could hear your heart racing.
“Well, that meant that I didn’t know anything about sex besides porn and the bullshit they taught us in school,” he said. “So I went to talk to Ricky because I thought he’d actually know how to handle that shit and tell me how to handle it and… I was afraid, baby. I was afraid I got you pregnant, that I ruined your life and that’s why I said it. I didn’t want to fuck things up for you, I didn’t want to trap you with me when you deserved so much better than that. It wasn’t because I didn’t want you and it wasn’t because I didn’t love you. It’s because I loved you so goddamn much that I freaked out at just the thought of fucking your life up.”
“Joel,” you whispered, your heart racing.
“I never thought you’d just leave like that,” he said. “I thought… I thought I’d be able to talk to you, once I had a plan, once I knew I could make it all OK, once I stopped freaking the fuck out, I thought we could talk and figure it out.”
You just stared at him, open mouthed, for a moment.
“I…” you managed eventually. “I didn’t…”
“I know,” he said softly, gently.
“I thought you didn’t care about me,” you said, almost choking on the knot in your throat. “I… I thought you saw me as some stupid, geeky girl who you just… I don’t know, got stuck with one day and I couldn’t… I couldn’t face that so I left, I went to school early and…”
“I know,” he said again before he laughed once, darkly. “I know. I… I went to find you.”
“What?” You asked.
“Back then,” he said. “Eventually wore Anna down, she told me where you went and… well… I went to find you. Talk to you. Didn’t think you’d just pick up if I called your new number, figured you couldn’t ignore me if I showed up.”
“But,” you frowned. “I’d remember you coming to Brown…”
“I’m sure you would,” he nodded. “But you never saw me. I saw you, though. You were with him. I couldn’t take that, either, so I left.”
“Oh my God,” you whispered, your eyes searching his, so open and honest. “You loved me.”
He smiled a little, one of his crooked smiles, just enough to make his cheek dimple.
“Yeah,” he said. “I loved you with your weirdly good breakfast sandwiches and too much cream in your coffee and your smart-ass movie commentary and your obsession with dippin’ French fries in Blizzards - which is still an abomination, by the way.”
You laughed wetly.
“Joel,” your hands found his waist, fingers tightening in his shirt.
“Never stopped loving you, baby,” he said, taking your face gently in his hand. “Not since the day I met you, not for one second. Figured I was kind of a lost cause in that department, after a while. Thought I’d have to settle for whatever little piece of you you’d give me but now… well, now I’m hopin’ that book means you feel the same way.”
You couldn’t seem to find your voice so you just nodded, fast and sure and he laughed, sounding almost giddy, before he smiled, big and broad and all encompassing, like you’d just given him the world.
“Think I can try somethin’ I’ve been wanting to do for about 20 damn years?” He asked. You just nodded, still speechless, and Joel stepped closer to you, closing what little gap there was between your bodies. The hand not against your cheek went to the small of your back and he cradled you to him, his eyes searching yours, his nose brushing your own. You could feel every line of his body against your own and your breath hitched, his gaze locked on yours until the last second, your eyes closing just as your lips met.
You’d kissed Joel plenty before, more times than you could possibly count, but it had never been like this. Every other time your lips had touched his, it had been with some pretense attached - because he was rescuing you from your shitty husband or to make you feel better about being alone on New Year’s or as the build up toward some physical release. You’d never gotten to kiss him because you loved him, you’d never gotten to kiss him because he loved you.
It was slow, gentle, patient, like you had all the time in the world instead carrying the undertones of something illicit. He was soft and warm, his hands against you like you were a delicate, precious thing. Your lips moved with his, your mouth opening along with his, just enough that you could taste him, breathe him, feel some part of him settle inside of you with a grounding certainty. He loved you. Joel loved you.
Your arms looped around behind him, holding him close but not too tight - you knew he wasn’t going anywhere, not this time - and you kissed him the way you always wanted to kiss the love of your life.
Eventually, breathlessly, you pulled away from each other, just enough to look into each other’s eyes again before you both laughed a little, bodies still pressed close.
“That’s been a long time comin’ baby,” he said.
“Yeah,” you said softly. “It really has.”
“Think I can take you to bed?” He asked. “Think we have some lost time to make up for.”
You just smiled and laced your fingers with his before leading your best friend to your room.
Next Chapter
A/N: I sincerely hope the end of this chapter wasn't a let down! I'd originally intended for them to sleep together in the same chapter as the confession but SO MUCH got laid on the table here it felt like adding their first time having honest, loving sex would be too much all at once, you know? But that is coming up next, I promise.
Special shout out to @dancingtotuyo, @dundienominee and @mysticnightmarewrites for helping me figure out how to close this chapter.
Hopefully, this conversation was at least somewhat worth the wait! Thank you for still being here, a small eternity after I started writing this story. I really do love you all so much!

Why Franklin and Maryann Portman are the Worst™ (Part 1)!;
Tumblr media
I want to preface this by saying that I know that by no means Franklin and Maryann Portman are the actual worst parents in fiction or in this series even.
Of course they aren't.
But that doesn't mean that I can't still refer to them as the worst™ for them being shitty. Even if I do believe that on some leave that they do care about/love their son.
I also wanna point out that it's been awhile since I read the books so I'm going off my memory and the wiki for this. So I may forget some context of why this or that happens, and if I do that, feel free to comment it down below respectfully. And if I forget something that you find shitty that they did, also feel free to reblog or comment it down below because I would love to talk about these characters and fandom more.
Am I saying that Abe Portman is 100% perfect and did nothing wrong whatsoever? No, that would go against how his character is betrayed in the books—as a flawed traumatized man who did his best to be there for his family and keep them and himself (as well as others) safe and went about some things the wrong way.
Now that that's out of the way…
According to the wiki:
“Jacob was born on Halloween, and up until he was eight years old was convinced by his parents that trick-or-treating candy was birthday presents (something apparently revealed in Hollow City).”
These people are rich.
R-I-C-H.
Rich enough that Jacob’s dad can study birds and volunteer and write mine books that he never publishes without the worry of them not having anything to eat.
R-I-C-H enough that Jacob comments that “I did love her, of course, but mostly because loving your mom is mandatory, not because she was someone I think I'd like very much if I met her walking down the street. Which she wouldn't be, anyway; walking is for poor people.” And rich enough that they gave their kid their four year old sundan so that they could get a brand new car.
And for eight years, they had their son believing that candy was a birthday present.
1. Now, look. I get it. Birthday shopping is hard, especially for a little itty bitty kid but not actually having the money to buy your only kid gifts and choosing not to because people are handing out candy on that day anyway? That's not a very nice thing to do for that long.
They let him go through three years of school thinking that and we never learned how he found out that was a lie. That's not even including the fact that the rest of their extended family let this lie continue (assuming they knew).
Can you imagine if Jacob found out because he mentioned this to his classmates or a teacher? Maybe a teacher or family member could salvage the situation but little kids can be brutal, especially towards other little kids who they think are wrong and considering we know that in that same year, Jacob was pants-ed causing him to stop believing anything Abe said…. It's not entirely out of the realm of possibility tl believe that one of Jacob's classmates got in a fight with him over it and caused some kind of embarrassing, painful memory.
Though I guess it's a good thing they didn't get Jacob birthday presents that early on considering my second point.
2. The birthday scene.
Look at his birthday scene.
This scene? Shouldn't really exist.
Not because I hate birthday scenes but because Jacob literally told his parents he didn't want a party which under normal circumstances is a reasonable ask within itself. But these? These aren't even normal circumstances.
Jacob doesn't want a party because the one person he'd actually want there, in his own words, is his grandpa. His grandpa who died in his arms nine months before and who Jacob has been viciously mourning for said nine months. His grandpa whose death caused Jacob's ‘mental breakdown’.
Whose house they had also cleaned out recently, doing shit all for the now sixteen year old’s mental health and grief.
But what do his parents do?
Throw him a surprise party.
A surprise party.
For their jumpy traumatized son who found his grandpa bleeding out in the dark after getting attacked by a monster (or ‘rabid dogs’) and who has been sleeping in the fucking laundry room.
Why on earth would going against his wishes be good for him? He said he didn't want a party and under these circumstances, it's even more understandable. If you really want your son to socialize or to celebrate, then get him a cake or some food he likes and invite his friend over. Talk to him.
Don't throw him a party he doesn't want and don't throw the kid who's been having non-stop nightmares about the monsters who killed his grandfather a fucking surprise party.
To make matters, in this party:
One of his uncles he’s not close to tries to spring a summer trip to his house on him, listing shit that he likely knows Jacob doesn't like with no previous warning to the kid himself (his parents were just planning to ship him off, whether he wanted it or not).
They're calling Jacob's apparent disorder ‘his thing’.
And nobody is actually getting him anything he wants. Just shit they've been gifted and are trying to get rid of.
Gifts like CD's of country Christmas music or subscriptions to Field and Stream (because his Uncle Les thinks he's outdoorsy, this one I can understand slightly since Jacob did want to be an adventurer but still).
The only exceptions being:
 1. The key to the family four-year-old sedan, which Jacob is embarrassed to be receiving in front of Ricky (who Jacob hasn't talked to in a long while after a fight they had).
And
2. A camera Jacob had been wanting for ages (since last summer) from his parents….who likely only gifted it to him because of his dad's new book.
Which leads to his mom drunkeningly making front of her husband at her sixteen year old’s birthday party…. Real classy.
Oh and 3. A book that belonged to Abe that Jacob's parental Aunt Susie snagged trom the house when they were cleaning it out. A book titled “The Selected Works of Ralph Waldo Emerson”.
She gave this to him, saying it was from Abe because he'd written Jacob's name in it.
Thoughtful right?
Well everyone else doesn't think so because they go quiet. Jacob's mom, Maryann even while drunk, tries to say it was thoughtful and that she didn't know Abe was a reader.
Meanwhile Jacob's dad, Franklin, is barely hiding how pissed he is.
Like dude.
Dude.
Do you really hate your own dad so much that you don't want your grieving son to have even just a book of poems that the only member of the family who he was close to left for him? Are you still, even after that disastrous day where you cleaned out the fucking house with him there and fought with him, refusing to let him have any ties left?
To be fair, you can say that this is because of his own history with Abe and that it's because Jacob is in a worrying state. But that doesn't really hold up considering that they let Abe babysit Jacob often and fill his head up with stories they thought he embellished  due to his own trauma and because they thought that Jacob was well enough to handle trashing and donating all of his dead grandpa’s stuff.
Sure, they don't take the book from him but the fact Franklin can't even hide how pissed he is is shitty.
That's not even considering this little tidbit here:
“My mother leaned toward me and in a tense whisper asked if I needed a drink of water, which was mom-speak for keep it together, people are staring.”
….
Do I even need to say anything?
The fact that Jacob thinks this probably means that his parents—or even just Maryann—have said this to him before. Frequently so, even. To the point where he's trying to escape the room, feeling like he might cry, and instead of thinking that his parents (or anyone in this family) might be able to potentially comfort him in this hard moment, this is what he's thinking.
It's infuriating.
But not as infuriating as my last point for now!
3. Franklin sent his then fifteen year old son to deal with what he thought was his dementia ridden, war world 2 veteran father having a PTSD attack/episode.
Franklin gets called when he's volunteering at a bird rescue in what is either early afternoon or night by his worried fifteen year old said who tells him that Abe called him ‘flipping out’.
He asks if he's taken his pills today and Jacob tells him Abe wouldn't tell him.
At this point, any reasonable adult would go and help their poor ailing father who may be having an episode or PTSD attack about the war, what happened to his family. The monsters.
At this point, any reasonable adult would send their son home out of danger and call up a friend or sibling or in-law to go deal with the situation.
What does Franklin do?
He sends his fifteen year old, who is at his job, to go check on Abe. Who again, Franklin thinks is having an episode.
Now, even if there was a chance that Abe would still recognize Jacob and wouldn't be a danger to him, who would risk sending their son to check on an ailing relative by himself when there's every chance that when Jacob gets there he'll be having flashbacks to the horrors he witnessed. I mean, it's understandable if you or another adult is there and need help calming the man for you to maybe have your teenage son there. Especially if he may be caring for him one day out of choice.
But sending your fifteen year old there by himself to handle the situation when he probably won't know what to do and when he probably hasn't seen one before?
And doing that when you know that your dad was in a war and still has a sea of weapons hidden away behind lock and key (a key which you have) because you can't be half assed to tell the shelter your volunteering at that there's a family emergency?
Franklin literally sent Jacob into a traumatizing situation that could turn dangerous (for Abe or Jacob, if Abe didn't recognize his grandson) under the assumption that all of his paranoid dad's weapons are stored away.
And what did Abe die with in his hand?
A box cutter.
Which just proves that Abe had things lying around that he could use as a weapon if needed. Things he could improvise with.
Just think for a moment about what could have wrong if Abe wasn't actually in danger from a wight but something he was actually imagining—a memory from his past. Imagine what could have happened to Jacob if Abe had mistaken him for a burglar or a wight or what Franklin thought he was imagining.
Jacob can't fight.
It's dark.
Things could easily go wrong.
And what would happen if they did?
Jacob would be hurt and traumatized or dead and Abe would likely be in a horrible place if he wasn't, all because Franklin didn't care enough about his dad to go check on him himself. Hell you can he didn't even care about Jacob enough here, because he didn't care about what Jacob could possibly see if he sent him to deal with his grandfather.
Like, not only is he being incredibly shitty to his son but to his own ailing father who was at the very least convinced he was in danger and who was actually in danger (for all Franklin knew his dad could have actually heard someone breaking in but he didn't even take the time to think about it).
That's all I have time to write for today but there's several other things that they do that are pretty crappy where their son is involved that I will happily discuss.
Hope this doesn't disappoint, @kallmeweirdhprroe .

Base Yandere Dexter Headcanons: His Greatest Strength and Greatest Weakness (Dexter)
[Hello, My Sexy Muffins! I am here with another chapter! This one Dexter, but I feel crazy! Because I swear I did this one before and even made a video about it! But I DID NOT!?! Why do I have vivid memories of making a YouTube thumbnail for it two years ago? HUH!!! Anyways, That aside this is base Yandere Dexter headcanons! Please enjoy this!]
(Disclaimer: Dexter is not yandere in canon! This is just for fun and not to be taken seriously at all! Simping for fictional characters and yanderes is fine! Just do not be illegal or gross about it! You know who you are! You Dirty, Flaky, Biscuits! Yanderes are not ideal partners to have in real life! Also, remember to separate fiction from reality and headcanon from canon!)
-Base Yandere Headcanons for Yandere Dexter From Dexter-
.Dexter is a very smart man that feels like he cannot relate to others. Since he most likely had something wrong with him since he was born.
.So Dexter when he met you was shocked as he felt something he learned quickly that it was as close to love as he would ever feel.
.Some could call it obsession but to him you made him feel things. Like how he felt with Rita and such but much more intense.
.He is the type of yandee that would be the one to protect you and would still follow Hary's code.
.Harry's code is one of the things that makes Dexter different from other psychopathic yanderes.
.He does not kill rivals unless they are deserving of it, and his being jealous is not fully a reason for that
.He has a code that he has with you as well, the love code.
.This code is something that keeps him from stepping too far with you a deeming what is a good amount of watching over you.
.He is aware if he oversteps this code then he is a creep and a stalker.
.So he follows his love code very strictly.
.He does not break into your home, he does not follow you on dates, and he does not push away your friends and family.
.No instead, he gets you a security service. He does not get you a guard dog because dogs can tell there is something wrong with him.
.If you had a pet I am sorry to say it will not be around long, no dexter would not kill it but it will have gotten lost from your home.
.He would also steer you away from getting another furry friend. Although a cat might be allowed to stay if they trust him, dogs would never so they would have to go sadly.
.He also researches the person you go on dates with just to make sure that you are safe and sound and he might manipulate you into thinking the person is creepy, he will find a way for you to break up with them.  .He gets close to you, your friends, and your family. Winning them and you over so that he can be with you.
.He is very good at appearing like a normal person so you are never ever going to find out about his dark passenger.
.When he is angry at a rival he does wish that he can change the code, just slightly.
.But Dexter never breaks the code for his obsessive love which shows he is a yandere with so much control.
.He with rivals gets you to leave them or blackmails them if he has fond dirt on them.
.He is making sure that they do not and cannot be with you, with you rejecting them or them ghosting you.
.The only times he sort of slips up is when someone is hurting or hurt you that is when that passenger peaks out and shows its dark side by threatening their lives.
.He would not follow through on it, but he would make sure that they think he will so that the piece of shit does not try anything ever again.
.He is a yandere that would not let you be hurt and would give his life to protect you.
.He is the type of yandere that would eventually start to date you.
.And yes you did accept his date and have been seeing him for some time.
.He made sure to make himself appealing to you and win you over.
.He has worries as a man and yandere if he is a good enough boyfriend for you, if he makes you feel loved enough if he shows you enough affection.
.Dexter slowly learns in his own way how to care for you and love you once again in his own way. .Dexter shows fear that is real that he will end up hurting you and that he wants to never ever do that.
.You make Dexter feel so many things that he would never felt without you. (in the show he does feel them with Rita to a degree)
.But let's talk about his negative yandere traits because almost no yandere is perfect.
.Other than getting rid of your pets and such he is the type of yandere that would try and isolate and manipulate from things he deems bad for you.
.Which on the surface does not sound so bad, like he helps you quit bad habits, or he helps you stand up to your toxic boss.
.The thing is Dexter can be a tiny tiny bit controlling. It is not even with bad intent, he just wants you to be safe and sound.
.But to you you can feel how smothering it gets and how you just want to tell him to stop with the hovering and worrying and all the aaaaaaaghhhhhh.
.This thing is he does not fully understand why it upsets you because he is so blinded by his yandere love that he does not notice how intense it is getting.
.He really needs to take a step back at this point and thankfully he will realize just how too much he has become.
. Fast forward a bit and you and Dexter have been dating for one to three years when he finally tells you that he loves you.
.This is the first time he said it to anyone and he does mean it, it took him at least a year to be fully ready to say it to you.
.Because at points he believed you would be fully better without him and safer too.
.Anyways, if you accept his love his heart will swell and he actually might cry real tears for the first time just so happy and not understand how to process the new feelings.
.If you turn him down he is good at faking it and he will say it is fine.
.Honestly, even if you break up with him, he is not going to kidnap you, he is not going to make you stay with him.
.He has his code and it lets him move on for the most part.
.He would watch over you and still keep you safe.
.He may even let you have a partner in the future.
.He knows you are the only person he would ever love and he was fine with you not being with him as long as you are happy but if that person ever broke your heart and or hurt you?
.That might be the one thing that would make Dexter snap if someone betrayed you in such a way or if someone killed you.
.To be honest, if someone killed you he would snap and forget the code.
.After all his love for you is one of his biggest strengths but at the same time his obsession for you is his greatest weakness and threat to him.
[YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS this chapter is done! I hope that you all enjoyed this, and stay sexy, all of my sexy muffins!]

What if Stanley somehow went to college WITH Ford?
An au that I pulled out of my ass at 10pm, while eating a soggy taco.
Ford couldn't believe it. A being beyond his comprehension, a muse of great importance and power, chose HIM to be his partner. His link to the physical plane. And now here he was, working together with his brother and best friend to make his greatest idea a reality.
Ford was currently leaning over his desk, recording important sequences he needed to pass to Fiddleford later. They were so close to getting this done, he could practically taste the sweet flavor of victory. Of acknowledgement. Or perhaps that was his tenth cup of coffee he had chugged in the last two hours.
Suddenly, Ford hears a sharp knock on the door, followed by the sound of a raspy cough.
Ford let out a sigh. "Come in."
Stanley walks into the room, wearing a gruff expression. He grabs a nearby chair, and sits down in it with his chin resting against the top rail of the chair.
Ford raises his brow, before letting out a slight huff of annoyance. "Stanley, would it kill you to sit in a chair correctly for once?"
"Yes it would. It would probably end the universe as we know it if I sat down with a stick up my ass like you." Stanley deadpanned in response, staring through Ford with an expression that reminded Ford of their mother.
Ford sighed, but decided not to dignify the comment with a response. He sets down his quill, turning around in his chair and crossing his arms with a furrowed brow. "Did you come into my office just to bother me? You know I'm busy Stanley."
"No. I wanted to talk to you about our project."
Ford's brows furrowed further. "What's there to talk about? It should be completed soon, don't tell me you're getting antsy already."
Stan rolled his eyes. "That's not what I wanted to say and you know it. Look, I'm starting to have second thoughts about this whole thing-"
"Don't tell me Fiddleford has been putting ideas in your head," Ford said with a sharp tone, practically glaring into Stanley's eyes with a burning intensity. "Stanley, we have been working on this project for MONTHS. Almost a year at this point! We're on the verge of a monumental discovery that could be the next step for humanity as we know it! Just think of it Stanley! A pathway to other words, other dimensions-"
"WILL YOU LET ME TALK?!" Stanley suddenly cuts through Ford's spiel, making him fall silent. Stanley cleared his throat, dragging a hand across his face with a sigh. "Look, I get it just as much as you do."
"I'd love to discover interdimensional space travel as much as the next guy. Id love to be one of the scientists who helped make the dozens of comic books and pieces of science fiction into reality. But we gotta think about this."
"What is there to think about?" Ford chides, starting to feel a sinking feeling in his chest. "We're scientists Stanley, this is what we do! We research, we create, we explore! We have the knowledge to make this a reality, so why shouldn't we take the chance?"
Stanley let out a sigh before standing from his chair, starting to pick at a loose thread on his lab coat. "Yeah, we are scientists. With enough research, determination, and possibly fatal trial and error, I'm sure we could make or discover whatever shit we want. But just because we CAN, that doesn't mean we SHOULD, Ford. Did you ever stop to think about that?"
Ford keeps his eyes on Stanley's face. His eyes drift from his brother's seemingly stoic appearance, before noticing the small furrow in his brow, the slight twitch in his lip. The almost invisible signs of worry.
Ford didn't need to be worried about. He didn't need to be protected or watched, like some sort of child. He didn't need Stanley to follow him around like a lost dog, fighting his battles for him. To think for him, tell him what's safe and what's not. Not anymore.
Ford let out a huff, turning back to his work. "I don't need your opinion on this Stanley. I can handle myself, thank you very much. Is there anything else you need, or can I return to my work?"
Stanley stayed in place, watching the back of Ford's head silently for a few moments. He eventually shook his head, his eyes falling to the floor. "No. Doesn't seem like you're willing to listen right now anyway." Stanley muttered under his breath, barely audible. With that, Stan left the study, leaving Ford alone with his thoughts. And perhaps a golden friend, if he was lucky.

Her Biggest Fan
Jensen Ackles x Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Who doesn't love a good fantasy or escape from our normal lives. When Y/N started this online adventre she never dreamed it would land her smack dab in the path of her favorite actor. Is there a chance this fantasy might become reality? And will the reality live up to the fantasy?
Warnings: fluffy Jensen, talk about divorce, talk about trauma, language, some dirty talk
Authors Note: I love Jensen and his family. This is purely fiction and for entertainment purposes only. I am currently going through a divorce and I decided to pull from it and work out some trauma I have. I hope you enjoy, this is becoming a series so buckle up cause I have some wildly unhinged plans ;)
Masterlist
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Divorce is hard. Doesn't matter if you did it for your happiness, to remove yourself from a toxic relationship, or if you're like me and had absolutely no say in the matter what so ever.
The first few months you feel like your suffocating in your own house. The walls feel as if they are going to cave in and you aren't able to focus on anything what so ever. If you're like me then you went from what you thought was a loving marriage with two beautiful kids, to being a single parent in a blink of an eye.
Shit is rough!
Do I blame my ex husband for leaving me? Yes, in the beginning I did. However, as the months went on and I started to see him for who he truly was and how he treated people, lets just say my ex best friend did me a favor when she stole my husband and broke up my family.
Bitch can keep him now.
No matter how healed you are from the trauma a toxic marriage causes a person, when he has the kids and it's just you, the loneliness sets in.
We're human and all humans hate being alone with our darkest thoughts and demons. Sure I own a farm, work a full time job, and have an amazing best friend who talks with me daily and gets me out doing stuff. And yes I know I'm better off single than wanting my ex or anyone like him in my life.
But I still get lonely. I still crave someone who will put me first and wants to worship the ground I walk on. I mean who doesn't want love in their life.
That's the goal ain't it? Big beautiful family, love someone until you're old and gray, watching your kids grow up and start families of their own, and enjoy life to it's fullest.
Well I had that, for a little while at least. It was great and I will never regret my marriage, I just don't know if I want to risk it all again on the possibility it may go to shit on me.
So instead of getting out there and starting to date and find someone to be with, I did the oppisite. I started a second phone account and I created a fake identity for online purposes and created an OnlyFans account.
I have no one in my life that will get jealous, be offended, or cause problems because of it. I have always been the type of woman who not only enjoyed porn for my own personal use, but I never stopped my ex husband from watching it when he was away.
Look all you want, it was always the touching that pissed me off.
While I'm not ashamed of what I'm doing, I have a family and friends just like the next person and they don't need to know. I'm a grown ass woman and if I want to have some fun online so fucking be it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
6 Months Later.
"How much money have you made from it?" Yes I caved and I ended up telling my best friend, to be fair her and I have no secrets. I hate secrets, I'm a honest person and there are times when even that's a problem, more so because I don't care who's feelings I hurt.
Don't want the truth, don't ask me then.
Shockingly enough I've done very well, way better than I thought I would. Guess it helps that I don't have anyone but my kids to worry about so I can give mt regulars the attention the pay for. Most of them just want to get off, easy enough considering I have been named the queen of sexting with them all.
Some of them are just looking for a person to talk to and enjoy their company. Either way I'm happy with both sides of the business.
Sitting on her front porch as we watch our kids ride their bikes and play together has been the highlight of my week. I love this woman to death and will forever be grateful after my ex best friend detorying my family, I was sent an angel like her. She doesn't judge me, she listens, makes me smile and laugh, helps me out as much as she can, and s there for my kids as much as she is for me.
Couldn't ask for a better friend if I tried.
"I'm doing pretty good. Made about $2000 last month alone. Funny how a silly little hobby out of boredom blossomed into a second career." inhaling a puff of my smoke, i hear my kids laughing as they climb a tree in the field across from us.
She starts laughing, "look at you go. Soon you'll be able to tell that ex husband to keep his money cause you won't need the child support."
That is the goal. Always was. He has a funny way of thinking because he gives child support monthly that means he still has a huge say in what I am allowed to do and go. Honestly, he still wants me to treat him like my husband and well that's not happening.
Needless to say we end up in a lot of fights that eventually result in a phone call or text message from him saying how he over reacted and he is sorry. Same old shit just a different day. He walked away from me and for some reason that just hasn't sunk into his head, he figures he can have a girlfriend and wife, again I ain't that girl.
Don't get me wrong, should he pay child support absolutely, but I was raised to be independent and to provide for my family. Not to mention it will bring me so much joy the day I tell him to shove his money where the sun don't shine because I don't need it anymore. Making him feel completely useless in my life is my goal, I'm going to show him that I don't need him to survive.
Just then my work phone goes off indicating I have a text message. Smiling I respond to Jay.
Jay: Hello beautiful. How's you're day going?
Me: Well hello handsome. It's going well, just hanging out with my bestie on her porch enjoying a glorious summers day.
Is he handsome, I got no idea. Jay is one of the guys I text daily. While we definitely have had our share of fun at night together making each other cum even though we are in two different countries, he is one of those men who wants a friend just as much as he wants release.
He's sweet, charming, kind, funny as hell, and if I believe what he says then he's a Texan boy born and raised. He won my heart right there, this country girl loves her some Texans.
However, the internet is where people go when they don't want to be known. Is Jay his name? I don't know. I haven't asked for a photo, all I've seen is his large hard cock when I'm teasing him all day before letting him cum. I respect that he probably doesn't want me know who he is and I'm okay with that. Hell not like I'm using my real name anyways.
I've grown attached to him in a way. He's definitely my favorite client. Maybe in another life we could meet and it would be heaven, but this is what I get and I'm okay with that.
Man for all I know he's married.
"Oh uh, I know that look, Jay's texting isn't he?"
"Oh shut up woman! But yes he is."
"Still have no idea what he looks like hey?"
"No."
"Just ask for a photo." God this is why I love her, she's exactly like me. No sugar coating shit, straight to the point every time and I am so thankful for it.
"Why? This way I have my fantasy and he has his. Hell I can pretend he's Jensen fucking Ackles and I'll never know the difference."
She burst out laughing, "really, you think Jensen is texting with you and randomly found you're OnlyFans one day?"
I join in on the laughing, she's right it sounds stupid, but hey it's a fantasy and nothing more, "no I don't, I'm not that crazy, but the fantasy is fun to dive in to."
"Yeah, okay I give you that."
My phone dings again.
Jay: It's killer in Texas today, summer is not our friend here.
Me: Haha I can only imagine from what you've told me. I still think it would be fun to live there.
Jay: I think so, but I'm bais. So just porch sitting with the bestie today?
Me: Hell yeah, momma deserves a break every once in a while. What about you?
Jay: I'm going out to the brewery today and meeting some buddies to hangout. Nothing spectacular.
Me: Man who makes his own beer, add in a whiskey distillery and you'd be the perfect man lol.
Jay: I'll keep that in mind sweetheart. Whiskey girl huh?
Me: Oh 100% nothing better in my eyes. Sitting outside once the kids are in bed, watching the sun set, whiskey in hand and nothing but the quiet of the night.
Jay: Damn that sounds amazing.
Jay: Your ex giving you anymore trouble?
Yeah you've told him about your ex husband. Lately, he's been unpredictable and grumpy more than he's not. You aren't shocked and you can handle his mood swings like a champ considering the 12 years you shared together. Mainly it just annoys the living piss out of you now.
Me: Nah, I put him back in his place where he belongs. Fucker don't scare me and he knows it. I hold all the power as much as he doesn't want to admit it.
You'd agreed to be civil and so far for the most part he was. Then you started going out and having fun while he was stuck at home with her being bored. The anger and resentment started to kick into overdrive. He started to come to the realization that he gave you all the freedom he was craving in life, and all he did was dump you for a more controling woman.
I mean the man can't even text you with her wanting to know ever detail of the conversation. Not like he actually tells her. Yet another reason I won't take him back, he's literally doing the same shit to her that he did to me, and she's dumb enough to by all his lies.
Most of the time you just have to not so gentle remind him he has a criminal record that you can bring to light in a courtroom and he would instantly lose everything and that usually shuts him the hell up for a while.
He's only saving grace is our kids we have together, if it wasn't for them I would have taken him to the cleaners the moment he left me for her.
Jay: Good girl. He needs to remember who left who in this situation.
Me: You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink Jay. I knew what was going to happen with this divorce. I know who I married so it never shocks me.
Jay: You still shouldn't have to deal with it.
Me: We have a farm and kids together, I'll be dealing with it until the day one of use finally croaks. You're sweet though for checking in on me and making sure I'm okay.
Jay: This may have started off as a way to release pent up frustration for me, but sweetheart you have grown on me. I couldn't imagine going a day without checking in on you. I know how that sounds considering we don't know each other and you've only seen my dick.
Me: It's a pretty amazing dick ;)
Jay: Awe, thank you honey. I wish there would be a day where I could show you just how amazing this dick truly is. Cause the things I want to do to you with it will probably seal my fate into Hell.
Me: Naughty boy. I do like the sounds of that though.
Jay: Probably should show you my face before that happens lol. I'm off baby girl, I'll text you in a while. Have a fun day relaxing with your kids and friend.
Me: You too Jay! Xx
Just then all 4 kids come running over to you together screaming how they are starving to death. You look at your friend and you both chuckle. Guess that means we are done relaxing for a moment. Off to make some lunch for us all.

my eyes only (part 4)
jealous! chris sturniolo x reader
warnings: cursing, reader is in a toxic relationship, smuttt, p in v, cream pie, choking, oral (fem receiving), squirting, masturbation, use of vibrator, cheating
** i’m not promoting cheating in the slightest, this is fiction. please do not cheat on anyone.
a/n: part 4 was highly requested sooo here it is <33
previous part
“it was an accident!” i yelled for what had to be the tenth time.
“how the hell do you accidentally send someone nudes ?” charlie yelled back.
i let a heavy sigh as i rolled my eyes, “hey, don’t roll your eyes at me”
my face scrunched up at that, “i can do whatever the hell i want with my own eyes, charlie. i don’t know why you think you can control my every move” he looked like he wanted to make a snarky comment at that, but i stopped him, “and why were you going through my phone?” i asked.
he looked take aback at the fact that i knew, “ i didn’t” he spoke defensively.
“so you weren’t going through me and chris’s texts?” i asked.
he sighed, giving up the act, “ok, fine. yes i went through your texts once. it was awhile ago, though”
“you are un-fucking-believable, charlie. how am i supposed to trust you when you don’t even trust me?” i asked.
“i know, it’s just-”i cut him off, “your past relationships, i know. but that doesn’t give you the right to go through my phone”
his eyebrows scrunched up at that, “are you trying to invalidate my feelings right now?” he asked.
my eyes widened at that, “i-no! what are you talking about?”
“i mean, you just basically told me that what i went through in the past means nothing to you”
“charlie, when did i say that?” i asked incredulously.
“whatever. i just can’t believe you’re pulling this shit while i’m going through such a hard time. i mean, you know how much stress i’ve been dealing with because of work, and now i have to worry about my girlfriend sending nudes to another guy”
my face softened at this, realizing that there was some truth to what he was saying.
although i would never admit it out loud, i did send chris those nudes on purpose. and on top of that, i gave him access to several of my explicit videos.
thank god charlie didn’t know about that part.
it was wrong of me to do, but when it came to chris, every logical thought of mine flew out the window.
my boyfriend was an asshole, but that didn’t give me the right to add onto his stress.
“i’m sorry, you’re right. it won’t happen again. what can i do to make it up to you?” i asked as i rubbed his shoulders.
i wasn’t an idiot. i knew that i was better off breaking things off with him, but i was scared. as fucked up as our relationship was, it was one of the only constant things in my life. and although it was dangerous for my mental health, it was safe.
change is inevitable, but it’s also uncontrollable in most situations. and this situation was one of the rare cases where i had full control.
“stop talking to him.” my heart dropped at this.
“what? you want me to just stop talking to someone who i’ve been friends with for years?” by the tone of my voice, he could probably tell that i wasn’t going to do it.
“ok, you’re right, that’s unreasonable. but, maybe just back off of him a little?” he asked.
“please? it would help ease my mind” he spoke as he squeezed my waist, his grip tighter than usual.
i had been with charlie long enough to read him pretty well. his mood could flip in a matter of seconds, and it was quite frightening to experience. sometimes, when he was seconds away from doing it, he would squeeze my hip or shoulder firmly. this was obviously one of those times where my answer would determine how the rest of the night went.
he had never hurt me before, but i was still always careful not to set him off.
“ok, yeah” i nodded my head at him.
“i need to hear you say it” he said, refusing to let go of me.
“i’ll back off of him” i said.
he let go of me, a grin taking over his features, “thank you, baby. i really appreciate it”
i nodded at him, smiling weakly.
Tumblr media
1 WEEK LATER
CHRIS’S POV
“it was a mistake”, those were the words she said a week ago. those words led me to believe that she would change her my eyes only password.
wrong.
because when i opened her my eyes only the day after she sent that text, the password worked.
she added more videos to the collection, in fact, she didn’t delete my own video.
and when i clicked onto the most recent video, the first thing i heard her moan was my name.
so that’s the game she wants to play? she won’t answer my texts, but she’ll scream my name when she plays with herself?
fine, let’s play.
throughout the week, we added more and more videos to the collection. we teased each other, moaned each other’s names, and spoke the dirtiest words to our phones.
we never addressed the videos in our text messages, as our conversations never got past a “hi, how are you” and a dry response.
it was an odd situation, but she seemed hellbent on avoiding any conversation.
finally, after a week of playing the game, i decided to go over to her house and talk to her like an adult.
i didn’t bother texting her, knowing i wouldn’t get a response.
READER’S POV
“fuck, chris” i moaned out as my head flew back onto my bed.
my body was bare and covered in a layer of sweat as i held my vibrator against my clit with one hand, the other fingering my wet hole.
my phone was propped up against a chair, capturing my pleasure perfectly.
i was so close to my orgasm, i didn’t hear my front door open.
“chris! i’m gonna-!” i cut myself off as my door flew open.
in a panic, i moved my hands and turned my head towards the door.
my eyes widened in horror, as chris stood by my door with hooded eyes.
chris and i stared at each other as we both waited for someone to say something.
“chris-” i started, but paused when he pulled his shirt off.
he quick strides in my direction, before leaning down and capturing my lips in a desperate kiss.
i moaned into the kiss, as our lips moved against each others quickly.
he detached our lips, pressing his forehead to mine. “do you want this or not?” he asked, his eyes still closed. “cause one second you say it’s a mistake, then the next you’re moaning my name. if you’re just gonna play with my feelings, i-” i stopped him by pressing my lips to his in a sweet kiss.
“i want this, chris. i want you. i was scared and confused, and i shouldn’t have played with you like that. i need you to know this isn’t a game to me” i spoke as my gaze shifted between his eyes.
“i’ve wanted you for so fucking long, i just didn’t know how to tell you” i cupped his jaw with my hand, running my thumb along the skin right under his bottom lip.
“thank fuck” he whispered before pushing his lips onto mine again.
my hands found their way to the back of his neck as his soft lips caressed mine.
his hands went to my boobs, squeezing and pinching my nipples, eliciting a small moan from me.
“fuck, you sound even better in person” he groaned.
he continued to play with my tits as our lips slid against each other’s perfectly.
his hips ground down into my body, his clothed erection pressing into my inner thigh.
i bit down onto my lip, suppressing my moans.
“don’t be shy now, baby. you’re so vocal when i’m not in front of you. do i need to play one of the videos?” he asked, making me narrow my eyes at him.
in one swift motion, i hooked my leg around his waist, pushing him down into me and flipping us over.
his eyes widened as i wrapped my hand around his throat, making him let out a choked moan.
“yeah? you like it when i choke you like this?” i asked as i moved my hand down to his sweatpants.
“mmm, fuck yea” he groaned out.
i hooked my finger into his sweatpants, tugging them down.
my fingers gently caressed his thighs as i moved my mouth to the top of his boxers.
i looked up at him through my lashes as i took the waistband between my teeth, pulling it up and letting it snap back against his skin, making his hips jerk slightly.
“i want these off” i spoke.
he quickly pulled them down, letting his dick spring free.
“remember that pink dildo?” i asked as i let my spit travel down to his cock, beginning to spread it around his length.
“y-yeah, i do” he groaned in response.
i lined him up with my entrance and sank down onto him, pulling long strings of curses from both of our lips.
“i always imagine that it’s your cock buried inside of me” i moaned out as i began to move on top of him.
“o-oh my fuck” he whispered as his eyes rolled into the back of his head.
he seemed to almost be shocked at the amount of pleasure coursing through his body, as his arms stayed frozen at his side.
“touch me, chris” i spoke, snapping him out of his trance.
his hands shot out to my sides, sliding down to grab my ass.
i grabbed his shoulders to stablilize myself as i rolled my hips into his.
“god, you feel even better than i ever imagined” i spoke as i pressed my forehead to his, staring into his eyes.
“you look so fucking good on top of me like this. love watching you fuck yourself on my cock” he whispered to me.
“you like the way i squeeze you?” i asked as i clenched around him.
he whimpered at the feeling, before replying, “not gonna last if you do that”
“good, i’m on the pill. i need you to fuck your cum into me, chris. need it so bad” i moaned as his dick plunged in and out of my tight hole.
the dirty words sent chris over the edge.
his fingers dug into my ass, holding me down against him as he shot his cum deep inside of my walls.
i lifted my hips off of him and swung my leg over his, moving from on top of him.
“wait, you didn’t finish” he pointed out.
“it’s fine” i shrugged it off.
chris wasn’t having this as he pulled me back towards his body.
“ride my face” he spoke as he pulled me back on top of him.
“what?” i asked, my eyes widening at his statement.
“i don’t know what you’re used to, but we’re not done until you cum. so, ride my face.” he spoke, throwing slight shade towards charlie, as he laid down.
following his instructions, i positioned myself right above his face. i hovered for a second before chris pulled me down onto him, pulling all of my weight onto his face.
“oh my god, chris” my jaw fell slack as my hands laced into his hair, tugging gently.
he groaned against my heat as his tongue licked up and down my folds.
i began to rock my hips against his mouth. with every upward movement, chris’ nose pressed against my clit.
“chris! i’m cumming!” i spoke as my body tensed up.
my toes curled and my fingers scratched his scalp as i felt an intense wave of pleasure run through my body.
i lifted myself off of his face as my juices shot out of my trembling body, saturating the pillow and chris’s face.
“fuck! sorry, sorry” i spoke quickly as i got off of him.
“don’t ever apologize for something like that, ma. that was hot as fuck” he spoke before licking his lips.
i got up to grab something to clean his face up, when he stopped me.
“wait, take a picture of my face!” he grinned.
“what, why?” i asked.
“we can save it to your my eyes only” he winked.
