Reactions As I Read: ● ugh, Joker kissing on the cover. despite Harley Quinn and all that, I always feel a little weird seeing Joker kissing someone. he seems like such a deeply unsexual being to me. ● has it been three weeks-ish since the end of the last issue?? ● my heart! poor Alfred looks so lost! ● carrying the groceries to her place is one thing. coming inside and putting the groceries away for her is way overstepping, considering you two literally just met ● unless Alfred is using all his skills to make excuses, surely Bruce Wayne’s absence has been noticed. well… the man does leave the country often enough. maybe Alfred just has to say that he’s in the Alps again or something. ● the Bat-signal goes unanswered… ● this B-story with Rebecca and Joseph is sweet. too sweet to last… ● Joseph Kerr… ● gah, I wanna give Alfred a hug!

Synopsis: Three weeks have passed since the Joker kidnapped Councilwoman Elizabeth Kenner. Captain Gordon is in his office watching the news. Reports of a brutally beaten and strangled body being fished out of Gotham Bay are followed by Kenner making comments about Captain Gordon, taking him to task about not apprehending the Joker as well as the unknown fate of Batman. While looking at a picture of Joker on the Batcomputer, Alfred also wonders if Joker indeed killed him.

Joker has been living in an apartment in Park Ridge, the very same site as his bombing, since his last encounter with Batman. He has deluded himself into inventing a generic name for himself, Joseph Kerr, and that he just moved to Gotham City from someplace he cannot seem to remember. He has himself believe that he just lost his parents, his apartment paid for by an inheritance from their deaths, supposedly has a job working for an accounting firm, and is taking medication for his skin condition, living life as an average everyday guy. He immediately bumps into a pretty young woman from across the hall named Rebecca Brown and the two are instantly attracted to one another.

Weeks pass and Alfred still wonders if indeed Batman is dead, while Gordon continues to hear Kenner's harsh comments towards him and Batman's fate, as well as keeping the faith by having the Bat-Signal lit. Joseph and Rebecca have become a happy couple who enjoy the same things such as old comedic reels and radio shows from the 1930s and 1940s. However, kinks start to appear in the sanity of Joseph as he suffers from horrible nightmares and comes across various links to his former life as Joker.

The body in the bay is identified as Dr. Elias Bruckner; a plastic surgeon who specialized in new faces for criminals. His being seen for the last time with the Joker right after the Comedia Theater was destroyed further fuels rumors of Joker still being at large in the city as well as Batman being dead. On the television news, the tension between Gordon and Kenner becomes white-hot, while Alfred tries his best to tend to the manor. Joseph is watching this same newscast, which causes him to become angry, almost hitting Rebecca in the process. He is able to stop himself from going through with it, but runs out of the apartment and into the elevator, giving in a little to his former persona. Gordon finally turns off the Bat Signal one night.

More weeks pass and Rebecca wakes up to a room of flowers and a happy Joseph, who proposes marriage to her. An ecstatic Rebecca accepts his proposal. Unable to sleep, Alfred descends into the Batcave when suddenly a familiar voice calls his name. He turns to see Batman who proclaims his return.

LMuch like in real life I would imagine that the Joker is viewed largely as misunderstood and is even considered good by a lot of people, he is like the first ever celebrity serial killer because his crimes are largely hidden from the public and he is viewed as largely unaccountable for his actions he is largely considered the most unaccountable for his actions by Arkham asylum though also the most difficult to rightfully deal with. I can't really stand the whole creepy monster movie serial killer thing he would be kind of like Jared letos joker but he wouldn't wear shorts, have tattoos or be so trashy.

A few times he kills people publicly in public and nothing happens, he becomes like this famous Andy Warhol type figure except he is a serial killer and criminal, he probably is an artist I kind of imagine. I also imagine he is very good st leading and getting people to follow him, he has kind of like a cult celebrity following at one point he does kind of become a famous celebrity in Gotham.

While he is not necessarily a physical threat i would imagine he almost is super human in that he has this kind of super sanity ability which makes him hyper conscious and aware of everything that is happening he is able to think really quickly and put together plans or connections on the fly right away and is really good at using weapons and knives, usually has a cache of really dangerous machine guns, weapons, rocket launchers and even flame throwers. I don't know if he is really comedic though he doesn't try to outright be funny, his whole motif is that he finds comedy in the harsh cruelty of life and due to him being a nihilist, is why he is kind of insane. Well, he basically is insane in some way though it'd hard to stay at times. No one knows his true past or former identity and life.

I would imagine that like Marilyn Manson he does speak on podiums at times and gives speeches, appears at public events and even music videos and the like.

He as a result I'd very glamorous at times and always has a big entourage of criminals and lackeys with him most of the time.

I think Harley Quinn would almost be like Katie Holmes at first she is starting struck and comes to idolize the Joker and becomes his first go to criminal psychologist and warden.

I imagine also he had above average hand eye coordination, and can be a threat for example because sometimes he works around the clock and doesn't sleep at all very much and isn't effected by this, he can be brutally efficient if he wants to be. Due to Batman opposing the Joker he garners a lot of negative attention. Joker lots the attention and drama that facing Batman creates and gives him meaning in his otherwise nihilist world view spiraling out of control (that's kind of his whole thing he spirals in and out of control in and out of sanity at all times)

This is a concept for a live-action Batman Tv Series that could be adapted on something like HBO MAX or a another network or streaming.

Synopsis: Gotham City has been at the mercy of criminal networks and underground operations that have plagued it for years. Batman had fought hard to protect Gotham. Has the Dark Knight enters his third year he learns just how much more help he’ll need to accomplish his crusade on the city.

Season 5 picks up only two hours after the death of Jason Todd.

- Seeing if this was a streaming TV series the episode count would be anywhere from 8-13. For the first season will go with 11. Each episode is about 59 minutes, and I will give a little summary for each episode.

Episode Lists:

1. A Death in the Family:

-The Batfamily is mourning the lost of Robin and each one handles grief in a different way.

- Tim has collected enough evidence on Batman’s identity.

- Two-Face returns in Gotham;and brings along a cold associate to eliminate the remaining members of the Batfamily and get revenge against GCPD.

-Catwoman returns to Gotham in hopes of helping Bruce, but he only wants to find the Joker.

2. Two of a Kind:

-Mr. Freeze begins a crime spree in search of diamonds to use for her research.

-Two-Face launches an assault on GCPD;for their armory.

-Batgirl and Nightwing begin to look into Mr. Freeze; while Batman goes on manhunt for Two- Face.

3.Cold Hearted:

-Mr. Freeze has taken over the Gotham News Station and as created a Weather Gun that’s freezing Gotham.

-Batgirl and Nightwing are working to locate Nora Fries, after Two-Face had her stolen.

- Batman tries to reason with Freeze to not destroy the city. He even tells him about his own lose.

4.Judgement Day:

-Batman has Freeze in custody and is trying to find the source of Two-Face’s broadcast.

- Gordon and Montoya interrogate a out of it Harley Quinn to find the whereabouts of Joker after the murdering Robin.

5.The Good Doctor:

- Freeze has a breakthrough with a cure for Nora while in Arkham; he tells the Gotham Knights that time is not on their side as this will become a temporary cure if they don’t hurry.

-Catwoman & Batgirl finds Nora’s Cryo-chamber in Bristol and she’s being guarding by Two-Face’s men.

-Alfred finds Tim on the Wayne Estate and questions him about him why he’s there.

7.Heads or Tails:

- Joker has gained the attention of every person in Gotham and he has everyone on the hunt for him.

-Meanwhile Catwoman pays Poison Ivy a visit to obtain a rare flower that will permanently cure Nora Fries condition.

-Two-Face has lost it all, his looks, his reputation, and worst of all his sanity. He wants Gotham to pay, and feels that all of this city is corrupt just like he has become.

8. Redemption:

-Harley Quinn lores Batman to the outskirts of the docks and tells him the Two-Face and Joker have teamed up to take everyone down.

-Batman and Nightwing find a lead to the old Tiny Tim’s Toy Factory that leads them closer to Joker.

-Nora wakes up in Gotham General Batgirl and Catwoman , the two must protect her from Two-Face & Joker’s men who break into the hospital to take her away.

-Mr. Freeze escapes Arkham after he hears Nora is awake and in trouble.

9.The Last One Standing:

-Batman faces the Joker in the very clubhouse that Jason was tortured and murdered in.

-Tim returns to Manor to pass along to critical information for Batman.

- Nightwing & Batgirl find Mr. Freeze at the Gotham Power plant where he becomes clear that has set a trap for them.

10. Frozen:

-Batman stops himself from crossing line after finally getting his hands on Joker. Two-Face is displeased that he didn’t kill.

-Harvey has Nora at Gunpoint and is threatening to put her back on ice.

-Nightwing and Freeze get to the courthouse to save Nora, at the expense of his suit being damaged and him not being able to survive without it. He sets off a bombs to stop Two-Face from harming Nora.

11.Not Forgotten:

-Harvey is sent to Arkham in hopes he’ll get the help he needs;as well as recover from being the explosion set off by Freeze.

-With Nora now cured she chooses to leave Gotham for good,she pays Victor’s grave even though his body was never recovered and thanks him for never giving up on her and giving her a second chance at life.

- Batman allows Selina to go with him Jason’s grave but they find his grave dug up and his casket is empty.

Hi. I already asked someone this question, but I really want to know what you think about it:

What do you think about Batwoman the drowned, as Gotham city sirens antagonist? I mean if you look closely, she’s has potential for interesting conflict with each of the girls. Her dead lover -Sylvester is Selina’s multiversal version, and yet she becomes the opposite of everything the cat represents: survival, love for life, freedom…

Both Harley and Bryce fell in love with male criminal, and it lead them to betray their morals and eventually lose themselves. But while in Harley’s case it happened because the Joker was a manipulative psychopath, Bryce Brakes after Sylvester Dies. I don’t think that Sylvester was anything like the Joker. I headcanon that he was a descent person and a descent boyfriend, despite being a thief like Selina.

And she’s interesting parallel to Poison Ivy, because both of them connected to forses of nature trough scientific experiments. But while Pamela loves plants, and wants to protect them, The drowned hates and exploits her element.

I feel that this Batwoman would actually be great antagonist for the Gotham City Sirens, especially for the reasons you pointed out. Each member is complimented and contrasted by Bryce's character.

Selina's core qualities, which were cultivated by her traumatic background, is mirror by Bryce's characteristics which also resulted from trauma. It would also be an experience for Bryce to see her dead lover basically alive and well. I wonder would that further hurt her or would it cause a change for the better? Would Selina have any thoughts on it, knowing that in a different universe Bruce completely lost it because she basically died? Would that taint their relationship? Bryce would also fully contrast to Selina, as you said. They are opposites in all ways, making to an interesting conflict, Selina's want of absolute freedom verses Bryce's need to subjugate people for the "better".

Would Harley see herself in Bryce, like she saw herself in Selina during Gotham City Sirens issue 19, and take pity on her? Harley must understand how it feels molding your life around a person, even if it hurts you, having your personality and sanity built around this guy. While the situation with Bryce and Sylvester is completely different from Harley and the Joker, it does serve as a cautionary tale on the dangers of loving too hard, though in Harley's case it was because Joker was a abusive shitbag.

And not only are both Bryce and Pamela connected to nature due to experiments, I feel a huge distinction to make is that Pamela is usually a victim of someone else's machinations and reclaims power with her new found gift while Bryce purposely experimented on herself to take a power. Bryce doesn't respect the power she has while Pamela does. However, they both use it in the same way, to mind control people for their own purposes. This is such an interesting connection between how different they but similar they are.

Honestly, thanks for telling me about this, a very interesting character.
