I'm not a fan of bridging Genshin and Honkai, but the authors seem to be doing it anyway, so... blame Hoyo for this post.
tl;dr of Honkai lore
At the core of Honkai's cosmogony are two concepts. The Imaginary Tree — a tree of branching parallel universes, each twig of which is a timeline and each leaf a world. And The Sea of Quanta — a boundless place of entropy and chaos from which the Imaginary tree spawned.
Order and chaos, basically. They exist in constant conflict, the tree tries to consume the sea of quanta and the sea tries to flood and dissolve the tree.
When a world fails to persist it can "fall" from the tree into the sea of quanta, becoming an unstable fragmented version of itself called a bubble universe. A shadow of a proper world. Such a universe is eventually dissolved in the sea.
Bubbles universes can also be artificially created or spawned from someone's memories. Either way they are unstable. If I recall correctly, Genshin was confirmed to be a bubble universe in a Honkai 3rd easter egg.
Ether Anchors
There's a technology allowing to extend a bubble universe's lifespan, is called an Ether Anchor. An Ether Anchor holds together fragments of a bubble universe that follow a fixed set of laws.
It seems to be more of a place/space anomaly than an object (“a topological formation that exists between the dimensional manifolds”), if I understood Durandal's and Roland's lore correctly, but also can take the form of an object, if honkai wiki is to be believed.
(I think space anomalies are anchor points, not the anchor itself? the places where it sews fragments of reality together. I'm still figuring this part out)
Quotes from Durandal VN summary:
At the core of the Ether Anchor, space from different dimensions were cluttered together like vines
"There, he witnessed the endless possibilities of another ancient world. "
Tartaglia's character story 4
Readjusted her body composition with the Ether Anchor to turn herself into a weapon.
I think there was a guy in Genshin who constantly talks about turning himself into a weapon. I can't quite remember his name though...
Synchronized themselves with the Ether Anchor, becoming the “Son of God” itself.
"The purpose of this line in the ritual scripture is to forsake the self and sink into the abyss, and in the abyss, to welcome rebirth as a holy infant."
Narcissenkreuz Ordo note
Another property of the Ether Anchor is that it allows bubble universes to interact with one another.
Or maybe not exactly different bubble universes but rather fragments of the same bubble universe (or, since we are in a multiverse, these could be the same thing)?
"Unborn life, unfulfilled wishes, Tragic dreams at the edge of the universal darkness that could never come true."
Festering Desire description
Ok, this is getting too long and no one reads long posts. Maybe I'll continue in a separate post later. There are still the topics of the Abyss (and why it's not The Sea of Quanta), Descenders, whether the anchors need to be sustained in some way, Tsaritsa's goals, why does everyone who has seen the Abyss speaks of ultimate injustice, Alice and Hexenzirkel in general, what is Irminsul exactly, and, of course, Childe, why Childe's promise of a battle at the edge of the universe is more important than it might seem, what are world cycles, and why Childe's part of 4.2 story sucked so much (I now have a Lore Explanation. or maybe a copium overdose. probably both).
For now I'm calling it though. Whatever Khaenri'ahns messed up, it had to do something with Teyvat's Aether Anchor.

I’m starting to hc Miguel as Miguel Rivera (from Coco)’s great grandson.
It’s mostly because I’ve been doing my family tree for a good while now, so most of my free time is occupied with tracking down Mexican ancestors, looking for resources to better understand the different settings they lived in, reading old Spanish handwritten records, etc. So, with genealogy on the brain, and seeing some names repeated down family lines…I think having Miguel O’Hara be descended from Miguel Rivera would be a neat lil idea.
Like, imagine little Conchata growing up in Mexico with a famous musician grandfather who loves her and dotes on her and her cousins. Yes, he’s a famous musician, but he’s a family man first and is always ready to pass down stories from his life and his loved ones, dead and living. She loves her grandfather so much she decided to name her firstborn son after him.
She wasn’t always the best mom, especially to Miguel, but she passed down those stories and traditions, including singing and a love for music. And Miguel grows up loving to sing, and being good at it but keeping it to himself and Gabriel because George hated to hear it.
Gabriel, on top of being a good artist, is a pretty damn good guitar player and also has a great voice. He mostly keeps it on the down low, though, even in adulthood.
Miguel didn’t pick up any instruments, but he sometimes wishes he picked up the violin before he became Spider-Man. Instead, he let Gabriela pick out an instrument she wanted to play, and if she happened to pick the violin, the onions that manifested were a complete coincidence.
Plus, it’s literally canon that Miguel goes to Mexico to celebrate Día de Los Muertos and that his suit in the comics was one he wore to the festivals. I think it’s better for that to be a thing he does bc the holiday is a big deal in his family rather than bc it’s an excuse to party or whatever.
His mother had an ofrenda and so does he.
Miguel Rivera is still alive (he was born in like 2005, he could totally still be alive in the 2090s and 2100s, so he is in my hc ☺️) so Miguel visits him in Mexico, too. Miguel is shy about singing in front of anybody, but his bisabuelo is able to bring him out of his shell, especially by singing his old songs that Miguel grew up listening to.
The more I think about it, the more attached I become to this hc.
Now I want to write a fic where Miguel is visiting a dimension in the 2020s (616B, 1610B, etc) and he happens to see that a young Mexican musician is starting to trend, and it’s his bisabuelo Miguel as a young man 🥹 so he buys tickets and flies to Mexico 🥹 to watch him live 🥹 and yes he knows this isn’t his bisabuelo but he is as close as he can get to a young Miguel Rivera at the start of his long and successful career and it just hits him in the soul 🥹
And if Miguel Rivera happens to notice a 6’9” giant at his show, who looks strangely familiar, watching him perform like it’s the best thing he’s ever seen… who’s to say.

So if you knew about this one, then great, not me after watching "across the multiverse thinking the producer are gonna open the miraculous world beyond the universe.
The title was so much the same as part 1 of the triolagy spider man multiverse series (Miles) but also giving me the same vibe that we would get to understand the whole power system of the miraculous more?
My theories on what the title shows is more likely either relates to time - Bunnyx or having a new way of portraying the story in another perspective under "another" kwami that its power are god-like level (more than Plagg and Tikki).

Another things that keep me in mind after watching the shows is that the multiverse is like an infinite timeline where anything, everything can happened yet it's must be a "canon" event. Yet most of the universe are canon from comics, shows and magazines they all have to tie a knots, sharing the same exact events, losing someone that's important to them. If the knot break then the whole multiverse is in danger.
So hypothetically if that concept apply the same as Miraculous ladybug won't be all Aus that the fandom had writen would having a chance to become canon? Like there are thousands of Miraculous Au out there Scarlet Lady, Office Au, Lady Fairies,....ect, and imagine that some one from Zag just straight up reading them and giving cameo into the canon shows?

Wait. There's a canon multiverse in supernatural? This is great news for the Hoot Cinematic Universe! I mean, supernatural already there, but the multiverse makes it easier. And did I see Tom Welling made an appearance on the show? He's a key player in the HCU, I love this for us.
I was so caught up in the euphoria of winchesters season 1 finale that for a moment I forgot about the implications to the Hoot Cinematic Universe.................

If there's one piece of evidence I may bring to the "dreams are alternate universe versions of ourselves" table, it's that I frequently have dreams with continuity. As in, "Oh yeah, that's the place from that other dream I had several months ago," when 1) I don't keep a dream journal, and 2) there is no way I should be able to remember that dream because I've literally slept since then, but I encounter that landscape again and it all comes back in a femtosecond. Simply uncanny.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who's had this happen to them.

The One I was Meant to Find
Batmom x Batman, Batmom x Batfamily
Prompt: While digging through the attic, Dick Grayson and Jason Todd uncover a secret about their adoptive mother. A secret that reveals the true, and dark story of the most loved couple in Gotham City
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Masterlist
Tumblr media
!!DISCLAIMER!! - This likely won't be comic accurate (Obviously), but I did draw inspiration from the comics. If you are looking for something accurate, then this fanfic isn't for you.
You can swallow fire, you've practically flown through the hair....You've performed in front of millions from age eighteen. You felt like you could handle anything the world threw at you....
Until you entered the Upper district of Gotham City a week after being taken in by Bruce Wayne. The part of the city full of the most lavish, and expensive stores. So many name brands that you only ever dreamed of wearing. Not even Haly himself could afford such luxuries, and he owned the circus. Bruce insisted that he bring you to this part of the city to shop for your new wardrobe. He planned on buying outfits, dresses, shoes, jewelry, perfumes, and anything else you could never need. You tried to convince him to just take you to a thrift shop or some random outlet, but he only looked at you as if you spat on his shoes.
So here you were, standing in front of a store that you had no business being in. Little did you know, you would be walking into these stores as if you were walking through your home in the future. All in due time...
Bruce enjoyed a cheap glass of champagne while you were given dress after dress to wear. Since your method of employment was no longer safe, he planned on hiring you as his assistant until you were safe to find your own career path. You stepped out in a dark blue dress that fit a little big on you, "Bruce, you really don't have to do this...I mean a thousand dollars for a dress? I'm sure we can find something similar for a cheaper price." You said while holding the price tag. He frowned, standing up from his seat. He walked over to you and inspected the price tag for himself.
He turned you around so you were facing the mirror, "I think it looks wonderful on you." Bruce said with a smile. He moved your hair to the side so he could zip up the rest of the dress and rested his hand on your hip. You both decided to put off the facade of being a couple while in public. Subtle touches like this were going to happen, but he didn't go too far with it, "I could buy this entire store if I wanted to." He whispered into your ear. A shiver went down your spine, and you bit your lip softly. You knew Bruce Wayne was rich, but just how rich was he? Obviously he was rich enough to keep up his lifestyle as Batman. You turned around, not realizing just how close the two of you were.
Have you ever had that feeling? That feeling that you were looking at someone you knew? As if you'd been with them a thousand life times. That's what you felt when you looked into his eyes. It was as if your souls found each other once again. You knew the theory of the multiverse from one of the clowns in the circus, he loved conspiracy. The thought of you and Bruce being together in different universes made you giggle a bit, "What's so funny?" He asked, his hand still resting on your waist.
"Nothing at all, Mr. Wayne." Bruce rolled his eyes then back away from you. You only called him that to be a tease. You two often found yourselves teasing one another. Which is why Alfred was very happy to have the both of you out of the house...so he can be free of the thick tension for a few hours. Now you were walking downstairs to the batcave, dressed in one of your new nightgowns. Tonight was one of those nights where you felt unsafe. Truly, you never felt safe. You knew there were eyes on you outside of Wayne Manor. The only place you felt safe was right by Bruce's side...or Batman's at this time of night.
"You should be asleep." Batman said as he typed away on the batcomputer. It made you think of the night he rescued you, "You have a busy day tomorrow, and I'm sure your boss wouldn't be happy with you being tardy." He joked then turned to look at you. He could tell instantly that you were scared. He understood the fear. After his parents were murdered, he would be up all night in fear of their murderer coming back to finish him off. Living life having to constantly look over your shoulder was no life to live. Without a word, he stood up while removing his cape. The surprisingly light material was draped over your shoulders to keep you warm. He wasn't going to make you leave. If you felt safe around him, then you could stay. Still in silence, you sat down on a stool next to a table lined with gadgets. You hadn't the faintest clue of what any of them were, but they looked very dangerous.
Was it strange? That you could picture your life like this? By his side, helping him on his quest for Justice. The Manor already felt like home. More so than the circus ever did. That feeling came back again. The one where you felt as if you've been through this before. As if every choice you've ever made led to this very moment. Led you to Bruce.
"Do you believe in soulmates?"
"No."
Your mouth formed an O shape and you awkwardly nodded. That might have been a question for Bruce Wayne not Batman. You learned quickly that the two were vastly different people. Bruce almost felt like the mask while Batman was truly who he was. Sometimes you saw a mix of the two...which you favored.
"Y/N. I'm not someone you can love. My life and what I do will only bring you more danger, you will never live the happy life you deserve to live. I can never make you happy, and can never give myself to you fully. I'm sorry."
Being rejected before the first move was ever made never felt good. You felt your heart shatter at the same time that your eyes began to water, "R-Right...I was dumb to ever think otherwise." You said while sliding down from the stool, "Goodnight...Batman." You whispered and swiftly left the batcave, passing Alfred who instantly noticed the tears falling from your eyes.  He could only shake his head as he made his way down the stone steps.
"Lying to yourself and to her will only make it worse, Master Wayne." Alfred said as he set down a fresh cup of tea next to Batman. Nothing was ever openly spoken, but it was obvious that Bruce and Batman both had feelings for you. Everything about you just drove him insane. He never believed in soulmates until he met you. He never thought that there could be anyone in this world made for him. Yet there you were, and it terrified him. How could he ever keep you safe? Once his enemies knew of you, you were going to be the target. The Court was already going after you, but he had so many more that would love to watch him hurt. He knew if he let himself care for you, it would only end with him losing you.
And he couldn't lose you....

@manorinthewoods asked: We're still midway through Act 5, but I'd like to ask - what do you theorise will happen in the rest of A5 and in Acts 6 and 7 of Homestuck? ~LOSS (7/6/24)
It's an interesting question. We're coming up on the halfway point of the comic, but our current main plotlines - namely, Murderstuck, the Blackout, the Green Sun and the Scratch - all feel like they'll be wrapped up in a thousand-ish pages, along with the kids' session and the Act itself. The question of what's next is beginning to present itself, and I have a few thoughts.
Tumblr media
My main prediction is that back half of the comic will be extremely English-centric. As the man behind Scratch's schemes, he's going to be revealed as the 'true' villain who's ultimately responsible for the current crisis, as well as crises yet to come. I think he'll elbow Perfect Jack out of the primary antagonist's position - and honestly, his chief minion is already more intimidating than Jack.
To contrast Noir, I think English will be a less instinctive, more cerebral villain. His choice of Scratch as a lieutenant suggests that he's more about carefully laid plans than open aggression, and his absence from the Felt Intermission suggests he prefers to hide in the shadows, weaving a web of conspiracy that would put Vriska to shame.
Tumblr media
As a result, I expect the next arc of Homestuck to be more about information warfare than flashy displays of power. Our heroes will need to advance their understanding of the multiverse's wider cosmology, as they come to terms with what English is, what he wants, and most importantly, how to stop him.
Tumblr media
The later arcs of the comic will involve discovering a glitch in spacetime that can break through English's supposed invincibility, while English works to keep the protagonists in the dark about his weaknesses. How this weakness could manifest, I can't say - but I do think Spades Slick will be directly involved in his demise.
Tumblr media
Outside of English, I think the world of Homestuck will expand in other ways, too. It might finally be time to make contact with other Sburb Players, since our current sessions aren't going to be habitable for much longer. We might even be leaving the 'session' framework behind entirely, and travelling through the Furthest Ring to parts unknown.
I know these aren't very specific predictions, but it's hard to be specific about events which are thousands of pages away. I still don't know how the Pen-Pal fits into everything, for example, or why Gamzee is so important to the story.
I guess we'll find out together!

Sonic Boom Shatterverse (Sonic Prime/Sonic Boom)
Tumblr media
I'm certain that, after seeing the ending of Sonic Prime, a lot of people have thrown around ideas in regards to what had happened to the Paradox Prism and where Shadow teleported it via Chaos Control. One would assume that he would make sure to teleport it somewhere where no one can find it.
So, how about accidentally teleporting it to a different Sonic Universe?
Think about a scenario where Shadow manages to Chaos Control to a different cave and figures that nobody would be able to find the Paradox Prism there. Sure, this cave has a bunch of paintings in it, but otherwise, it looks very isolated and very empty, so he leaves the Paradox Prism there, figuring no one will use it and that it's completely safe there.
Tumblr media
However, as Prime!Shadow Chaos Controls back home, he has no clue that the cave he accidentally teleported the Paradox Prism to was actually a very specific cave belonging to a very specific hedgehog.
Tumblr media
Yep, you read this right! Prime!Shadow somehow ended up teleporting the Paradox Prism into the Sonic Boom universe, and what's worse, he left it in Boom!Shadow's cave (who wasn't around to witness this).
Tumblr media
To make things even better, this also appears to be the very same cave where Sonic and his friends have found that mech from Episode 065: Mech Suits Me, meaning that yes, there is a possibility that they are going to find it - again.
So, let me ask you folks - how long would it take for the Boom Team to not only end up in this cave again (along with Boom!Eggman and Boom!Shadow), but Boom!Sonic being the one to shatter the Paradox Prism and forced to fix reality.
What would the Shatterverse Variants of the Boom Team be? Would Boom!Tails have a Nine-like variant? Would Boom!Knuckles be the Captain of a pirate crew? Would Boom!Amy end up as a micromanaging robot? I imagine, for hilarity's sake, Sticks to act pretty much the same in every Shatterspace reality, trying to confirm some crazy multiverse conspiracy.
Tumblr media
What about the Boom version of the Chaos Council? Boom!Eggman is a lovable goofball whose main plan is to turn the island into an amusement park. So, what if the Boom version of New Yoke City is actually a New Yoke Amusement Park, where everyone is forced to attend the rides and eat junk food, and those who refuse end up working as corporate slaves- ahem, employees at the amusement park.
Tumblr media
Of course, the highlight would be these two idiots, who probably couldn't work together even if the world is literally falling apart before their eyes.
Yeah, as much as I love Boom!Shadow, there is no way he'd be able to work along with Boom!Sonic without some serious persuasion. Admittedly, Sonic Boom is a comedy show, so the drama would be minimal. Nevertheless, I would love for these two to actually develop a partnership akin to their Sonic Prime counterparts.
As a matter of fact, imagine a situation where Boom!Shadow has to save Boom!Sonic, and once their reality is repaired, they go right back to the inevitable fighting.
But, this is just a premise I came up with. Do you guys have any ideas?
EDIT: So, how does Sonic shatter the Paradox Prism, allowing the Shatterverse to happen?
Basically, Team Sonic and Eggman start fighting over this shiny rock they found in the cave (aka the Paradox Prism) and Shadow returns and is pissed off that they're in his home, so his first move is to tackle Sonic right into the Paradox Prism, causing it to shatter.
Also, he keeps blaming Sonic for it shattering during their whole adventure, even when Sonic points out Shadow pushed him into it.

hello! i stumbled across your blog very recently and am curious as to what the tag v13 means- sorry if you’ve answered this before, i’m on mobile!
fallout is based on wasteland. wasteland is based on a canticle for liebowitz. a canticle for liebowitz is about catholics bickering about fiction in the dust of america for hundreds and hundreds of years. it is about religion and the concept of a dark age
Tumblr media
VAULT 13: A GURPS Post-Nuclear Adventure was the ip's name in the conceptual phase. the very first VAULT 13 worldbuilding pitch doc--a timeline--spoke of a Dark God, a term deployed throughout Fallout but only contextualized in the fallout bible, which does not actually use the term. Laura has a special voiced line just for Tell Me About: Dark,God: "The what?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Project V-13 was interplay's original Fallout Online, which was cancelled by the publisher bethesda like fifteen years ago now.
Tumblr media
pylon v-13 is a location at the end of Fallout 76's map where a character from Project V-13 built a time portal and disappeared. it is the most cursed location in the game
Tumblr media
by accepting its premise, we arrive at v13 lore, the rejection of canon in light of canonical time travel and multiverse, which has always been a thing, and is also literally a joke. it's the realization that fallout is defined by creativity, interpretation, expression, and argument. it is the understanding that non-canon lore and controversial lore are basic and vital pieces of the history of the setting. and it's the begrudging admission that fallout is a cultural legend, irreplaceable and beyond anyone's control. fallout makes sense to everyone and demands our imagination. it always will
Tumblr media
enabled by all the most hated and rejected lore, my characters are time-travelling supervillains who know the things i know, and scour the wastelands endlessly to expand their knowledge. this diegetic headspace and cosmology is a lens i use to explore the concepts of conspiracy theory, paranormal thought, religion, and occultism, all of which i am deeply critical of. i have learned a lot about these matters because i was able to fully engage with them in the context of fallout.
also the talking deathclaws lived in vault 13 and the courier carries the vault 13 canteen. there's also some esoteric shit about 13 high priests, 13 ghouls, and 13 landmarks. it's a pretty specific throughline. it's there if you're mad enough to look for it. and we'll never really know what it means if anything
thats what it means. to me
another thing i always say is. any setting where humans don't see ghosts is a strange fantasy. humans have always seen ghosts. don't mean ghosts are real. just means folks see ghosts. and at some point you gotta talk about it
hope this isnt complete nonsense
