thinking about how if Jean ever went back to Marseille (which i don't think he'd do unless it's for/in relation to E) that he'd get bullied by his fellow french folks because of his accent. not only would Jeremy be hauling him through Charles de Gaulle after some uncultured Parisian dared to insult his Marseille accent (he may not speak french, but he's all too familiar with what Jean insulting someone sounds like), but once he got to Marseille they'd reject him too. five+ years away from anyone who spoke french besides Kevin and Neil and their atrocious accents, where japanese and then english were embedded into his brain did him no favors. when he speaks his mother tongue it's recognizable, but his accent is no longer his and it's something else he has to come to terms with losing to the Moriyamas
