Soo I see you as a fellow mikey and bee fan (me too I love these little creatures that have some ıdentity problems ;>) . I have a little crossover thing in my head. When bee has some problems with cybertron and politics with a quick anger he takes a niiice vacation on earth. He absolutely has a little mental breakdown in some bar thinking and waiting to strascream to arrive he sees a little boy chased by some strange man. Now he has to save the boy from some strange man (ofc rubble trauma). While poor mikey is separated from his brothers and now try to run away from some strange man.

I just want them to explore emotional traumas and being sassy little shits while making everybodys problem

okay okay there's a lot to unpack here so it will get long, i didn't write anything but i have some thoughts

first of all thank you so much for this bc when i first got into transformers i saw bumblebee and, me being a life-long tmnt fan, spotted the mikey parallels right away, since my first tf show was tfa. it is disturbingly scary how many similarities these franchises have and its kinda sad no one considered a crossover yet, especially with the same publishing house at one point (idw). its a tragedy we never got anything with both of them, they're even both sci-fi genre with some environmental messaging - that said i don't want tmnt to be involved in a war so. uh. maybe not a great idea lmao

on the topic of mikey and bee - yes, they're absolutely very much similar! even when taking into consideration their different interpretations (like rise mikey being different from 2012 mikey, and tfa bee being different from tfone bee etc) i still think they both carry the same kind of attitude across their franchises. both are the "kid-friendly" appeal, their characteristics more upbeat and cheery to be a contrast to other more serious characters. BUT ALSO they get the LEAST amount of character growth out of any central characters (at least it's very prominent in mikey which i've always stated, you can quote me on that, he gets such "background character" energy it drives me up the wall sometimes; for bee its different with each iteration since he does get the central role more often than not), and they usually have to keep up an aloof persona everyone expects them to have (i drift to these characters all the time unfortunately) (AND THEY'RE BOTH THE YELLOW COLOUR TONE KINDA A LITTLE BIT)

so how would they interact with each other? it really really depends on the continuity and the timeline, but i'm gonna keep it brief and general enough as to not overthink it

i still think bumblebee would act like a sort of older brother figure no matter the situation - even if he fails at it bc he secretly just wants to have fun - and mikey is having none of it, he has enough brothers already. everyone knows michelangelo is a hazard to society and he's not gonna let anyone forget that, so he ropes bee into some weird shenanigans when he "could use the help of a cool giant alien robot". they break into a government facility or a decepticon base and try to get important info, and while bee feels bad about going in unsupervised ("goody-two-hoes over here"), mikey is having the time of his life, and seeing that uncontrollable chaos just sparks something in bee, too, so he starts enjoying it too a little bit

they both get scolded for sneaking out and doing dangerous stunts even if they got the intel, but ultimately get out scot-free with the power of ✨puppy eyes✨ and hang out for a while

i think bee would be very sad to see someone so young already experience so much hardship and still keep up a brave face... like sure he's been through war already but he's hundreds of thousands of years old, and this kid is fifteen and he's been trying to survive his whole life

mikey in turn being the sentimental and empathetic guy would try to help bee around his ptsd, reminding him a little bit of leo that way, and he'd try to share his love of humans and culture with him, maybe get them both out on a little nature walk, dance to music, teach bee how to skateboard (it does not go well lmao)

anyway bee gets a little stinky friend and he shows mikey off to every autobot in sight just holding him like "this is my best friend michelangelo :)"

Crossover Fics I would die happy if were created.

TGCF x DC Universe - Mu Qing gets into DC universe somehow and becomes either becomes a League of Assassins' servant (Damian's personal one) or Alfred adopts him. Either way exploring what Mu Qing feels being a servant to the wealthy again. Or in the Damian one, Mu Qing comes to Gotham with Damian because like hell is he letting this literal child go alone (he's getting Hong Honger flashbacks). And the batfamily just wonders why tf Damian is so not a little demon brat to Mu Qing. (there has to be some symbolism with blue, like if he wears it bc that's what he wore during the Xian Le servant era)

DC Universe x Class of 09 - Kind of like a Magic & Mystery situation with Tim Drake infuriating the school. It could be a trafficking ring because of how many p3doph!les there are or smt. Either Tim interacting with the absolute insanity that is (I think the game location is georgetown?) highschool. Or him coming back messed up to bits like "Miss. I'm a sociopath" is coming back with a bang. The ending with prison maybe Timcole can see Joker? And manipulate him? Either joins the rouges or manipulates them.

MDZS x DC Universe - Lan Wangji as Damian Wayne makes so much sense to me. Emotionless, rule following, animal lovers. Would Lan Zhan find comfort in the LOA? Following their rules and training? It's just really interesting... does he find Wei Wuxian (ship of choice)? Lan Xichen (definitely Dick Greyson)?

TGCF x DC Universe - Hua Cheng / Tim going crazy trying to find Xie Lian. Becomes a rouge and breaks into bat cave cutely. Batfamily or the Sirens start finding the little stalker cute. Maybe Xie Lian just doesn't exist in this world and Ra's tries to grab the little psycho. Maybe he becomes batman when Bruce get's lost in the time stream?

Black Butler x DC Universe - Ciel Phantomhive as Bruce Wayne. Sebastian Michaels as Alfred Pennyworth... Unlocked after Bruces parents die? Alfred always knew????

Angels of Death x DC Universe - I want Rachel at the ending to attempt self delete but she like fails (Zack is still gone (maybe)) and decides to run away to the states. I want Rachel to attempt to be like Zach and for Jason to find her. Like he's doing his shtik at the LOA and he find Tichel either getting hurt or murdering someone. Or Tichel is still Red Robin somehow but they imprint on each other when Jason goes to kill them. I want family feels luving !!!

Bungo Stray Dog's x DC Universe - Rampo dies super sad but BUT he comes back as Damian Wayne and can you imagine this 26 year old man who's never run a mile in his life do assasin training? LOA doesn't give good vibes and Ramian makes that everyones problem. Also he completely shows up Tim Drake and Bruce Wayne "Smartest Detective Duo" This is his PRIDE on the line ppl! Does he do vigilante things or sneak in the background because violence is boring snacks are life?

Genshin Impact x JJK - Imagine Kaebedo as Satosugu. Does Albedo take the Gojo Clans whole thing laying down? Imagine calm Gojo I think canon would combust. Kaeya stays mostly the same in my opinion...

Danny Phantom x Class of 09 - Nicole dies then just decides to sonder off to the most haunted place ever™. She could become Danni (clone) somehow or be Phantom... Ghost King Nicole is my Roman Empire she'd burn the place to the ground.

TGCF x Naruto - Can go Kakashi as Xie Lian or Xie Lian as Kakashi, either way is about to come more traumatized than anyone barganed for. Obito / Hua Cheng can come too because the obsessiveness. Make Hua Cheng / Obito a little more crazy and he wants infinate Tsukoyomi so Xie Lian / Kakashi will quit being traumatized !!! Codependency is key and they could both join Akatsuki for shits and giggles.

Misclicktober Day 1 -- Crossover

Qsmp x Genshin Impact (HEAR ME TF OUT CHAT )

okokok i will admit i did totally start early because i got immediate motivation and ideas which does not happen often- and initially i was just gonna like. idk, outfit swap haikaveh (genshin ship) and slimeriana but alhaitham's outfit was too detailed for my liking so i just made them their own designs!!

and then i got rlly carried away for the next few days as my brain slowly deteriorated (i hadn't gone outside in a week, my will to continue with this strange AU faded after I took a walk) and uhh..

A lot of rambling (I tried to make it coherent for anyone who doesn't play genshin) and other little drawings beneath the cut !!

Charlie comes from Mondstadt (based off germany, thought it would be the closest fit, they also really like wine there so charlie can still be an alchoholic lmao !!), and like quite a few others there, he is a bard! His element is dendro, mostly just for the sake of it being green lmaoo-

Then, Mariana comes from Natlan (based on the Aztecs, and I believe q!Mariana is an Aztec god of some kind?). I haven't thought much about his character ngl.. I have a bit of a theory, based on the small amount of info I know about Natlan, that no one except the archon is supposed to be able to weild pyro, but... idk, maybe Mariana used to be the archon? They don't have to die to be replaced in Natlan, just defeated in battle, from what I've gathered. It could also be a reason why he leaves Natlan (no one from there ever leaves, for the sake of some kind of tradition that i forgor), to avoid embarassment or something. idk man. (i say "idk" a lot in this help)

ANYWAYS.

Mariana has shit defense and health, so he desperately need someone to keep him alive. Meaning he greatly depends on Charlie, the only person willing to travel around with and take care of him.

When Charlie does actually end up agreeing to heal Mariana's dying ass, worry not, for he still finds the best ways to be annoying!

I actually came up with the concept of his elemental skill--similar to Barbara, a hydro healer, he would play his lyre and sing, summoning a bunch of little slimes (not elemental ones of any kind, they may have some dendro effects, but they're not actual dendro slimes or anything- if that makes sense-) that latch onto the person's injuries and heal them up !! when health is full, maybe they move to attack enemies or somethin' idk lol

And, speaking of like.. abilities n stuff, I feel like Mariana would have a burst not too different from Diluc's, making big ass wings out of fire or something

We know almost nothing about Snezhnya, but I really think Juanaflippa would be from there, becuase- well-

One of the NPCs, Katheryne, who does a nurse joy kinda thing and is magically at every city at once, we end up finding out is from Snezhnya, and isn't an actual person. She's a bionic puppet that can be recreated. I figured that, maybe, Codeflippa could be some form of a prototype, copying the form of another human being. Why they would chose Flippa for this, I have absolutely no idea, but uh.. Yep !!

Juana would eventually flee from Snezhnya, taking Sunny with her, and I'd imagine that in her effort to protect her younger sister, she would end up gaining an Anemo vision! (She needs to control air currents, it's a necessity to me. She must become the coolest backflipper ever.)

Later on, I'd imagine that Sunny would gain a Geo vision. Her and Navia would probably be best friends.

I've never drawn like any genshin character before, they're all SO CONVOLUTED but I felt the urge to have the misclick kiddos interact with the House of the Hearth because I fcusking LOVE THESE FATUI GUYS HSKJNCKS sunny would love lyney and lynette's magic shows, i feel like juana and lynette.. they'd probably be able to trauma bond or something, then.. I think Freminet would probably find Pepito at the bottom of the sea while diving, idk. Kunikatai/ Doppo Kunikida x Katai Tayama: This is one of those ships (I said the same with Chuukou idk if with any other ships) where "Can't they just be friends" works, but honestly I don't care enough. A ship between them works too, they both care about each other. 2/10

Kunikidazai/ Doppo Kunikida x Osamu Dazai: If you've been around this blog for awhile you're probably expecting me to rate this higher than I am going to because I've talked positively about it. But really that was more a case of "an enemy of my enemy is my friend"; I was defending this ship against the attacks and slanders of dachuu shippers. IDGAF about it. While I do think a lot of dachuu shippers wish/think of their ship as what kndz actually is and try to insert Chuuya in situations it'd make more sense for Kunikida to be (and that it's the healthier version of their ship) I also believe that this ship wouldn't work for similar-- if not the same but on a much smaller scale-- reasons why dachuu wouldn't work. I can't articulate it, I haven't been able to. If someone else sees the vision and is good at explaining, feel free to comment. Mushiango/ Mushitarō Oguri x Ango Sakaguchi: Considering how scared Mushitaro was at Ango this is also kinda funny. 2/10

MushiPoe/ Oguri Mushitarou x Edgar Allan Poe: I've only ever seen this ship as an ot3 with Ranpo, without him this seems a little odd. 2/10

As someone who is long-time fan of Mlp EG and who has just finished watching TFP, your fic is true delight. I read it 5 times at least and it is still awesome. You perfectly matched girls with their autobots partners just as well as you did with decepticons as their evil counterpart. For example Twilight/Shockwave - both have high inteligence, but while one uses it for greater good and to help the others, the other abuses it to gain power and hurt the others; Fluttershy/Soundwave - even thought they are both animal lovers and quiet types, FS is just very shy girl while SW is calculating sadist; Rainbow/Starscream - Apart from being queer icons (If you can look at these two without the word gay constantly entering your mind, congrats, you´re legit cishet) they´re actually pretty similliar in function and personallity wise. They´re both eccentric, aroggant showoffs and are also fastest on their team. But it´s their differences that are making them great foils. RD is impaitent hothead, who jumps straight into action without the second thought, while SC is great schemer, who has his plans planed out. RD is literally element of loyalty, while SC is mostly loyal to himself and etc. I can´t wait to see all their interactions in the future. If you´re interested in some writting advice, there is one minor thing that can be fixed : your description of characters feelings and thought. You start explaining how and why they feel that way instead of giving readers benefit of the doubt. The best term I can think of is that you are describing a picture. Like you want us to see, hear and understand everything at once. It creates unnecessary sentences or whole paragraphs without which some emotional moments would have sounded better. For example if paragraph in Ch.2 with sentence "She was too stuborn." it would have sounded so much better. Or sentences like "She was too precious." are also kind of waste of space since they don´t tell anything new.It´s not worst type of description,but it can create a feeling that you don´t trust youre readers to read from emotions characters alone. Many new writers and comic artists are often doing this. It can be solved 2 ways : by improving their writing or start drawing comics. I´m sorry if I confussed you in some way. I tried my best to explain it, but english is not my primary language. If you don´t mind, I would recommend fics from @whatwooshkai to see what I am talking about ( it´s mostly TF shipping stuff, but man, the writting is so good that I can´t stop reading even if I wanted to). Overall great story and art, just writting needs a little improvment.

I want to finish this already long post with few questions:

1.What is group dynamic with eachother? I mean in and outside of their decided pairings. I can see Sideswipe and Rainbow´s relationship as chaos siblings and that Rainbow is definitely driving Ratchet insane, but what about the others? I´m courious to know.

2.Did you already started writting the next book? If not, do you have planned when you will start?

3.Do you consider draw this as a full time comic or at least draw some parts of it? Or drawing some strips of your incorrect quotes?It´s just that you´re artstyle is so pretty and redesigns of the autobots and girls are great. It´s shame to see so little of them.

4. Did you thought about getting your comics dubbed on youtube?

5. Do you draw ideas from the asks from your followers on Tambrlane or you take commissions only? Like if they had a idea for a comic/sketch and they post it to you, would you draw it? If not, could they draw it with your redesignes?

Now, to answer your questions:

1. You are absolutely correct about Sideswipe and Rainbow’s relationship, in my opinion, they will be the best chaos siblings (I am 100% sure that most of the members will go insane because of their pranks) I could write more detailed headcanons for them and the others too.

2. The next book is nearly finished, I will make sure to post it at the beginning of January.

3. I will drop more art soon, promise! Sorry for the lack of content, I’ve been pretty busy for the past few months. But now I’m finally free and I will certainly start drawing again! I also have several ideas in mind for some parts of the next book.

4. I don’t mind my comics being dubbed as long as I’m credited and they’ve asked for permission.

5. Again, if I’m credited and asked for permission, there will be no problem for other artists to draw my redesigns. I don’t usually take requests and it really depends on my free time and motivation, but if I really like the idea that has been suggested, I would (probably) draw it.

6. Good guess! But actually no. I was really into this crossover way before Hasbro decided to make a comic of it. I’ve been into a lot of fandoms and reading crossover fanfics basically became like a hobby to me. I got a lot of inspiration after I accidentally stumbled upon some pretty good written Tf/Mlp fics, but it took me a lot of time to finally get enough courage and start writing my own. I’m more than thankful for the support and love that I was given through the years! It really motivated me to keep on going!

I just finished watching the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...and I have...thoughts (along with some bad grammar)

Tbh I really love the idea of crossovers, I love so much seeing the babies all together (I am working on a crossover myself so...) but I feel like this one was just...mediocre

First up Jekyll!

Number one, assuming this takes place after the novella, that is not how HJ7 works. Jekyll turning back into Hyde is not right then. At that point, Henry would be living on a timer rather than Hyde.

Also, little pet peeve...THE POTION SHOULD BE GREEN!!!! THE POTION'S FINAL COLOUR IS GREEN AND THEY MADE IT CLEAR!!!

Also Jekyll is a doctor, he acts like the fucking wimpy Swiss man from Frankenstein. Jekyll is meant to be a (mentally) strong man who experimented on himself and kept good notes during the whole thing. He is a doctor; he is used to seeing some shit.

Also...why would you make Hyde look like that? One of the few clear physical descriptions in the book is that Hyde is much shorter than Jekyll, but he's...hulkish. I don't like that because it takes the monstrosity away, pinning it all on looks and not on action.

Also why Paris? Why did Hyde run to Paris? There wasn't really a reason for him to do that in a writing sense.

Upside: At least he continues to run on rooftops. All Hydes run on rooftops; it is not optional.

Next on the Chopping block is Dorian.

For a moment there, I really thought they ruined Dorian, but hell yeah! They kinda did it!

I wish they'd had another actor to play him, since the dark hair makes him look a little malicious, which is quite the opposite of what he's supposed to look like. He's supposed to be a child-like and innocent; deceiving.

Also...what the fuck was his ending?? Like he doesn't perish if he looks at the portrait. It literally says earlier that "the last time [he] looked at the picture" which literally contradicts what happens later. He can look at the picture, but chooses not to.

I am glad they decided to not have him redeem himself. That fits a little closer to the book.

For Mina!

Quick thing: I have not yet finished reading Dracula, so I have no clue what's happening there or why she's the vampire (please don't spoil it) so I won't say anything on that (cough cough...should've been Carmilla)

I don't like making women the sole love interest. It feels weird. Literally three people liked her (well only 2, Dorian was pretending) out of five. Make it interesting, make it something someone would ship...there is literally no chemistry between any of them (except Dorian, and we don't even get a proper "oh yeah I hooked up with him" moment. It's only implied. When did that happen???). Also, Mina isn't that kind of person. She's (in book) not looking for romance in that sense, she had a husband, and I'm pretty sure she'd probably stay faithful to him even after death.

Speaking of Chemistry, why tf is she a chemist? Jekyll should've been the chemist. Mina is literally known for being able to write in shorthand, and they could've used that to her advantage. Again, please excuse this if somehow Mina does become a scientist after Dracula, but considering people's views on women in that time period, it's unlikely.

Skinner:

I think that's his name...idk. I have not read the Invisible Man, but why would they kill off Griffin? Like Jekyll dies, but he doesn't have a replacement. I can't say much since I haven't read the book.

Hello, all. Here is ME bringing a crossover no one asked for. And it’s probably the worst crossover idea to date. I see a bunch of ideas and fics for DP and DC crossovers and that’s fine. But I prefer Marvel. The shows especially.

Specifically I’m talking a Sam focused DannyPhantom and Punisher crossover. So what happens is is that Danny is critically injured in a ghost battle. He’s taken into the ghost zone to heal. The GIW somehow find out. Tucker and his family are able to go into hiding with Jazz and Danny’s parents (they know in this fic) and so does Dani and Val and her dad.

But who doesn’t? Sam and her family who are on vacation. Sam didn’t want to even go on vacation. But Jack and Maddie convince her as tbis may be the last time Ida can travel like that and because Danny is safe and sound in the GZ and is being taken care of. For whatever reason (still need work it out) they can’t reach the Mansons to warn them the GIW are coming or they can’t because the GIW reach them at the same time.

So Sam along with her parents and Ida are all captured.

It gets dark because the GIW are really terrible in this crossover and they aren’t above torturing Sam.

To try and get Sam to tell them where Danny is and how to get to him they threaten her parents and Ida who also refuse to talk and are ultimately killed in front of her. They also tell Sam to not say a thing.

I don’t know how Frank (this is specifically the Punisher from the Netflix show) winds up at the HQ where Sam is, but he does. And he sees that they’re torturing a teenage girl. And he’s not letting that slide. I get it is Punisher but he doesn’t just swoop in and kill them all and save Sam. He gets caught and thrown in a cell and he and Sam get to talking (maybe, might change this).

But then things really take a turn where the guy who’s been the one torturing her the most and has made all the plans for it basically is like “as a man, I have a way of breaking a girl” and he obviously means what you think it does. Maybe that is too much. It doesn’t happen. But the guy goes in there to do it but Sam has been stewing in rage so she pretends to be unconscious and with what strength she has when he comes into her cell is tap into every self defense lesson she’s ever had and stick her thumbs into his eyes and bite down on his nose as hard as she can. She’s running on rage, anguish and adrenaline.

It’s then she’s able to get out, gets Frank out and they (mostly Frank) fight off/kill the GIW and escape.

They know that they can’t just be out in the open. Sam recognizes where they are and knows that they’re not too far from a cabin her family owns that her parents bought in recent years that the trio went to pretty frequently. It’s stocked with shelf stable food and even has ghost fighting weapons. Sam is able to patch up Frank as well as herself and she gives him stitches and obviously he’s wondering why TF she knows how to do that. She tells him she just was curious and googled it and then got stuff online to practice at home. She could tell him the truth but she’s not so sure if she should. He also sees her fire off a bazooka while they were still at the GIW HQ that the giw stole the idea from the Fentons so he’s like “wtf even are you??” And then they go to her cabin and she’s got weapons? Like custom made specialized weapons.

Daredevil would come in eventually. Idk where the series ends but I’ve got a couple more episodes of season 3.

But I might make it so Matt represents Sam. Or even Foggy. And they get her charges from the giw dropped. She just acted in self defense and the giw tortured a minor and killed her family. They abducted her and imprisoned her. So they get the GIW shut down and defunded.

Of course it’s not the end of Sam’s problems because they shitty members of her family when the news went out that Sam and her family were missing, tried to get their hands on the vast wealth they have and Sam is set to inherit. And they suck and don’t back off because Sam is back.

This is just an overview.

Maybe I'm a little more optimistic (or stupid?) but I feel like Sarah might be building up to a brief separation for Nessian where Cassian has to choose between her and Rhys. There are some theories about her ruling over the Dusk territory and the Valkyries residing there. I feel like living away from Rhys would be good for both of them.

Like I just don't think Sarah hates Nesta while giving her so much and basically any new person who meets her likes her and has nice things to say about her. And Cassian not saying I love you to her, not sticking up for her or at least trying to deescalate the situation is VERY weird. Like she has so many people where the guy is always 100% behind his mate. Dorian and Manon (kind of a weird pairing for me, ngl) are not even together and I'm 100% sure he would stick by her if she decided to go on a random killing spree for sport.

I understand Cassian has known Rhys basically his whole life, but that's your mate, man... wake tf up. I don't need him to pick a fight with every person who sneezes in her direction, but some support in front of everyone would be nice.

Once again I feel like Elain will be the only ACOTAR lady that will get a decent man. Sarah will have to work really hard and retcon absolutely everything we know about Lucien to make him an asshole.

What you just laid out is what my realistic, best case scenario is. I'm not holding my breath for a Nessian breakup (even if I do think he should go die in a ditch) but I was assuming it would get better/healthier once they were finally together. The HOFAS bonus chapter makes me hopeful or hopeless depending on how optimistic I'm feeling that day.

I fully agree with you in the sense that I cannot interpret that BC another way. Narratively speaking, why SJM would double down on Nesta's conflict with the IC other than as set up for something like her leaving, forcing Cassian to choose, etc? It's such an insane decision to have the first glimpse of mated Nessian in three years be... that, only for it to be meaningless in the end. But all that hinges on the assumption that SJM is a logical writer who remembers to tie up loose ends and doesn't retcon stuff willy nilly -- and that's where all my pessimism lies... in her writing tendencies. I think it's telling that when Bryce goes to return the Mask, Cassian is there and all seems fine, which makes me think it's just going to get brushed under the rug. It could go either way!

I think SJM has a love-hate relationship with Nesta -- she thought Nesta deserved whatever the fuck ACOSF was but you are right she loves her now that she's been "redeemed." Loves her enough to let her keep her powers/control of the Trove, give her Gwydion, give her the star connection with Bryce and make her the focus of the crossover. It's even more telling to me how many fans try to downplay all of that too. Wanting other characters to have the Trove/Gwydion, claiming the crossover was meaningless or that Azriel was more important than her - all desperate efforts to gaslight themselves into believing Nesta's story is over. Ultimately, those theories wouldn't exist if those fans didn't believe all the things Nesta has are important.

At this point I just want to know what the next book is because that's going to determine whether or not I should give up on Nesta ever getting a happy ending. Nessian is 10000% endgame, I know that, I just want to believe in it is all.

Thank you for clearing up on the misinformation around the BTS (behind the scenes) of Megatron’s redemption arc. I knew something was off when I couldn’t find the information anywhere in both the fandom nor the TFWiki. And this is coming from someone who really likes TVTropes (though I do admit I have my own fair share of issues with the site but that is for another time).

Another thing that had me confused was TVTropes’ claim that JRO had “protection from the editors” by the time Season 2 of MTMTE rolled along. I remember being like “huh???” when I pulled up the TFWiki pages for the Season 2 MTMTE and Lost Light issues and seeing that they did have editors (Season 2 literally had John Barber for almost the entire run while Lost Light had a change in editors) this whole time. And it got me wondering —

Did the editors get extremely busy with their own projects and things (especially Barber given that he was also writing his own series (Ex-RID and Optimus Prime)) or did they let JRO do whatever he wanted with his writing? Or was it a case of “JRO told the editors to get off of his back so he could write what he wanted to write?” Given how divisive Season 2!MTMTE and Lost Light were in the fandom (I’d admit I liked both series, even with their flaws and all), did something happen to cause what was perceived to be a change in “quality?”

While I do agree the writing got messier, I have no reason to believe it was because JRo got special treatment or was allowed to do whatever he wanted. The only thing that comes to mind is that because most of his cast were C-listers, he could get away doing whatever with them. But this is a condition that existed from the very beginning of Mtmte, if anything, the adition of Megatron would mean a decrease in freedom, not an increase.

Another "perk" Mtmte had was that after Dark Cybertron, which notoriously felt out of place for Mtmte's plot because it had to halt everything to bring the characters back to Cybertron for the event, people seemed to realize Mtmte's roadtrip setting doesn't lend itself well to events. For Titans Return, JRo could keep things from interfering with his main plot by using the side characters in Luna-1, a similar case being Mtmt's one-shot for Revolution (on top of JRo and Roche being asked to do "the fun one") and then Lost Light just didn't took part in any events. But these events are known for getting in the way, not participating in them is not a reason for the writing to get worse. However, JRo still had to do things like relinquish character's so Defensor could show up in Combiner Wars, which got in the way of First Aid's arc. He wasn't beyond exec meddling.

JRo is notorious for his extremely demanding scrips, to the point Nick Roche quit being Mtmte's artist after one issue, being replaced by Milne who could take it because he has no chill. Roche and Roberts are friends tho, and there were no ill feelings between them. And again, this was the case even for the early scripts. I have never known of an editor suggesting that JRo is a particulary hard person to work with.

Barber was the editor for all of Mtmte's run and is no surprise that he quit come Lost Light. See, not only was he doing exRID/OP, but even before phase 3 (when exRID and Mtmte got relaunched as OP and LL) he was writing other series/side stories, doing a lot of editorial work and also being the guy whose job was to communicate with Hasbro's reps. Come phase 3, IDW decided to introduce the Hasbroverse and do non-stop crossovers with all the Hasbro IP's they adquired. Barber not only co-wrote many of these crossovers, he also took part in coordinating the whole thing. Like, this man is arguably the most prolific TF writer by page count on top of all his other jobs. He had no time for Lost Light.

Which is a pity! Because I do think Lost Light had a drop in quality and I do think it was in part due to Barber leaving the editor position. He and JRo seemed to work well together but also, one of JRo's biggest flaws is that he has a lot of ideas he wants to introduce and it sort of makes thigns get out of hand and loss focus. Barber's biggest strenght is keeping everything thematically tight and relevant no matter how much stuff there is.

Carlos Guzman was the editor for Lost Light originally but after issue #13 it switched to David Mariotte. I have no idea why this happened, but Guzman was the editor for all Transformers titles at the time so maybe he didn't have the time, who knows. Still I don't think he was as well suited for this series as Barber and when Mariotte came in the focus was in wrapping it all up.

But this is just my guess, I cannot say for certain that Lost Light wouldn't have had a drop in quality had Barber stayed. After all, season 2 already showed some struggles particularly with the fact that Megatron as a character was not suited for this roadtrip story and the plot had to bend under his gravity and other character's arcs got side-lined as a result. Who knows? In the end, we got what we got.

It is possible that as JRo proved himself as a writer, he was given more leeway, but that doesn't mean he would be allowed to do whatever he wanted with no supervision.

Hey ya’ll. So as hinted at I have a lot of ideas and works in progress so wanted to kind of do a little summary and tease some of the stuff I’m currently throwing around and kind of give and make a plan of action for the coming year regarding my content here.

I finally finished the office kinktober prompt after nearly two months of it being half written as said in the authors note, I am giving up on the idea of kinktober/kink til Christmas altogether. But there are still a few ideas that came from that list I do really want to write which will be included in the future ideas portion of this post but yeah… let’s just start with the current WIPs and what’s gonna come first.

Metanoia

When Mando takes on a job to retrieve a kidnapped young senator, the two of them end up on a journey that has Mando questioning his whole way of life.

(I have posted the first chapter of this but may take it down as I don’t know when I’ll go back to this idea and I think I want to adjust it anyway. This is basically just a story to really go into what I wanted from Mando’s journey meeting other mandalorians and how it makes him question his creed seeing how other mandalorians live and getting to really explore that inner turmoil.)

Some of these may get written some time next year, some of them may come later, some may never get written at all, but I wanted to share my thoughts anyway.

No Body No Crime

Based on the Taylor Swift song, this is a murder mystery that would feature multiple crossover characters from Dave York (the murdered husband), Joel Miller (the accomplice lover), Jeb Pyre (the detective) and possibly a few other characters from across the Pedro, Andrew and Oscar character lists. I love this song and I do have a whole list of ideas just based on Taylor Swift songs which may become their own mini series with a song for each album, but I really want to write a multi chapter fic based on this song.

Untitled Joel Miller Fic

I already made a post with this idea. Inspired by the Mummy, as I feel Rick O’Connell and Joel Miller give me similar energy. However instead of fighting Mummies we’d be fighting Infected to hunt down different artefacts a particular bookish main character wants to protect and preserve. Think road trips, myths, history and unlikely allies with ridiculous sexual tension.

Triple Frontier Boys One Shot

I’ve been fantasising about a very naughty TF boys one shot which is pretty much straight smut and one rocking night for reader. I did start writing some bits for this a few nights back, but didn’t like it the next day but plan to return to it at some point.

Tis The Damn Season

Another of those previously mentioned prompts inspired by Taylor songs, Tis The Damn Season is a Frankie Morales one shot that may come sooner than we think as it’s an idea set at Christmas. Frankie goes back to visit his parents one time a year and always ends up back at your place on Christmas Eve like your very own Santa Claus.

The way I really would read anything as long as it's interesting that it's almost embarrassing, but I guess it doesn't really matter as long as I'm enjoying it.

Today I found a fic called "A Blessing in Disguise" with a Fushiguro Toji x Todoroki Rei pairing and the summary was too compelling to ignore. What-if and crack treated seriously fics are among my favorite themes and I coudn't resist the temptation to check it out. I know enough about MHA but have only watched season 1 of jjk so I'm not too knowledgeable about the context (the story takes place in jjk's universe; Rei ends up there through an accident), but fortunately, it's more of a slice of life story focusing mostly on Toji and Rei's relationship and their growing family so it's not too difficult to follow along.

Any jjk characters I'm not familiar with who pop up are just a Google search away. Toji himself is a character I don't know much about but I already got the gist on what his canon equivalent could be from the way he's portrayed, at least prior to falling in love with Rei. In this fic, he's definitely become a family man and is simping -head over heels in love with- his wife and I'm loving tf out of it. I'm almost sad that this isn't actually how the story went for Rei bc of what she and her family had to go through in canon, but such is the tragedy of enjoying what-if fics, or just fics in general. Especially the crack ones bc the possibility of it happening at all is nil. Like not even a 1%, just pure below zero.

It is also, admittedly, not the weirdest crossover ship I've read considering I enjoyed an Ichimaru x Todoroki Enji (what a coincidence) family fic months ago. Balked at the idea at first but gave in anyway like a pushover bc I wanted to see how Ichimaru's presence would've changed the dynamic to the whole Todoroki family drama, and of course his own dynamic with Enji. Last I checked it had over 70+ chapters and was still ongoing. Ichimaru was also a simp for Enji but compared to fic Toji, his fathering skills are embarrassing from what I can remember. Enji was still gruff and rough around the edges but treated his kids better compared to his canon counterpart so instead of resentment, the todoroki kids are , for the most part, content but also kind of embarrassed of their parents? With Ichimaru's shameless glomping of Enji who bears with it all in his stoic grace, there's just never a dull moment in their household. Toji and Rei's family dynamic is more domestic and sweet in comparison but still just as entertaining.

Idk it's all such a hilarious concept and I had a blast reading it. I swear gems crossovers like this always make my day and hopefully I'll be able to come across more feel good, crack fics with the saeme quality in the future. Lowkey begging for it actually but ANYWAY---
