Renegade: part 14
Roman reigns x OC Scarlet
Tumblr media
Gif credit: @romanreigns
Warnings: this is where I introduce the nuckalavee! The nuckalavee is where the phrase "behold the pale horse" came from. many different descriptions of the nuckalavee exist but the one that is most constant is that it's the bringer of death particularly famine because it's said to destroy crops. Some say it has a rider ("and on it was death") It's found mainly in Scotland and the Scottish isles and can be found both on land and water.

______
"what prophecy is he talking about Joe?" I said crossing my arms.
He sighed "after the 30 year war it's said 5 hybrids will free the creatures of the night. 1 is of fire, 1 is of air, one is of earth, one is of water and 1 is of spirit"
"I don't understand" I said
"Scarlet our baby is the one of spirit! The most powerful one!" He said
"You mean..."
"Yes! Us creating a baby was always meant to be! We were meant to meet!" He smiled.
"That's why Jonathon didn't want us together?"
"Yes! He knew!" He said
"What other kinds of creatures are gonna start showing up?" I said letting out a sarcastic laugh
"Vampires, banshee's, probably a giant or 2."
"Joe it was retorical but thanks for telling me that everything I thought was make believe in actually real!" I sighed
"I know this is a lot to take in but you have to understand I didn't plan this it was pre determined long ago!"
I sighed "Joe I find out I'm pregnant with a bay that's going to free all the creatures I thought didn't exist! Is blade gonna show up next?"
"Possibly!"
"What?!"
"Kidding"
"Not the time Joe!"
"Baby relax! Everything is gonna be alright!" He smiled
"I hope so!" I said walking into his embrace "this just a lot to take in"
"I know baby girl" he said kissing the top of my head "hey let's get out of the house for a while and go for a walk. I have a friend who can fix the window to"
"How that giant man jumped that high af through all that glass and didnt get a single scratch i will never know!" I laughed
"Same reason I can't get hurt. It's part of what we are" he shrugged. "Lycans heal quickly they can be hurt by silver but that's only if it's a pure silver bullet"
"Well this just gets better and better! What's next is the Boogeyman gonna jump out of the closet?" I laughed. He looked at me and crossed his arms "well that didn't go at All the way I planned"
A smile formed on his face "let's go!" He chuckled.
We headed down to the park and seeing all the fall colors of red, orange, yellow and some purple was beautiful. It was so relaxing just being outside. As it started to get dark we headed home..we were almost out of the park when I heard tree branches cracking. "Joe! Did you hear that?"
"Get behind me Scarlet!" He said changing into his gargoyle form. Whatever it was I knew he wouldnt show his true form unless he absolutely needed to. Suddenly a red horse with fire eyes and smoke shooting out it's nostrils appeared. "a nuckalavee? Scarlet come on! Get on my back! We have to go! NOW!!"
I hoped on his back and as he flew off I looked down at the nuckalavee to see it's eyes glowing red and fire shooting out it's nose! Joe had gotten us out of there just in time "baby the nuckalavee isn't something that just appears! It's been sent by someone! We need to hide for a while!!"
"Who would want to hurt us?" I asked
His eyes glowed with anger "I think I know!"

Fear, for it is the demon from the sea. The Nuckelavee rises from the ocean to terrorize the shore of Orkney, its breath carrying disease for humans and animals alike, wilting crops, and bringing drought.

Jaune Vol 10 Character Analysis
You know what I planned to make this a few pages long, but screw it, let’s talk about it. In Volume 10, I want Jaune to have that same energy back in Volumes 9 and 6. I’m sorry, but after everything Jaune has been through should not go back to being a comic relief character. No, not a chance, considering they're in the kingdom of Vacuo.
Vacuo, the desert kingdom might as well be the crime invested, savage, and brutal nation in all of Remnant. And this was the best place to bring thousands of people to? Imagine the amount of stress Jaune will be under due to the amount of work needed just to have stability. And he just got back from the Ever After. Imagine how hard it will be for him to readjust to Remnant, especially if the people start losing faith in the hunters. Not only that despite being reverted to the age he left in, he still is mentally older than everyone else.
Remember what Jaune’s mother told him, “A stranger is a friend you haven't met yet.” Well, that’s debatable now after being betrayed by so many people. So imagine Jaune thinking twice about trusting anyone, regardless of good intentions. Hell, have him question Emerald so she can prove herself or his allies for a change considering they barely do anything for him. Either way, Jaune… won’t be as trusting as before.
Next, after failing his friends multiple times at least story-wise…Jaune might as well be more obsessed with getting stronger than ever before. Even though Weiss, Yang, and Blake slightly helped him, it’s not enough to help him move past the amount of pain he went through like isolation, paranoia, and self-doubt. These things can make Jaune question himself, and lead him to want to quit, leaving the hunter world for good. Or die. This isn’t a good idea, considering Jaune is needed and is a hero in other people's eyes. (Jaune has been doing a better job than most characters, despite being the weakest in the group.)
Sadly, his friends may be unable to talk to him about it. I’m talking about Ren and Nora, mainly due to relating. But it's because they are both horrible teammates.
Okay, I explain my beef with these two. Ren and Nora, I tolerated at the beginning volumes. However, after volumes four to eight, I got frustrated with them enough that I didn’t mind if either of them or both of them died. Jaune always has to be there for both of them but neither is there for him when he truly needs them. I get it he is their leader but still. And before you all say “Ren and Nora have moments with Jaune.” My counterpoint is that most of them are forgettable and were outweighed by their other actions. Don’t believe me? Then let us discuss the volumes.
In volume four, it’s crazy that Ruby knows what Jaune has been doing more than his team. Let’s not forget during a fight with a Nuckalavee they were conversing while Jaune and Ruby were fighting for their lives. Look I understand, the Nuckalavee killed Ren’s parents but still. And don’t get me started on how they were willing to stand aside in the fight with Tyrian. At least Jaune was trying to help in response to Ruby jumping in between Qrow and Tyrian’s fight by herself.
Volume five, not going to lie, Nora was worried about Jaune but that was in a trap set up by Cinder and Raven. And to make matters worse they fought one man together while Jaune faced a maiden alone. Then when Jaune was healing Weiss, not knowing how long it would take, the moment Ren got hurt, Nora rushed in to help him, knowing Jaune may need protection. (I know it was under Jaune’s orders but come on.)
Volume six…. No. Let us skip this because even though it was a bad time, at least Nora and Ren said the sweetest thing ever. It’s too bad I can’t say those same words held up for volume seven. Nora and Ren were barely with Jaune at all. Jaune is more with Oscar than they were combined. Then they were useless in the fight with Neo and argued half the volume onto volume eight.
In volume eight, I truly started hating these two even more. Nora seems to care more about Oscar, to the where she has hugged him more than once, while I don’t recall one time she ever hugs Jaune. So far, in many volumes, she was straight-up rude to him. And even when he and Ren return from almost certain death she never says “Hi” and after healing her, Nora and Ren start having their moment again. Nora never said “Thank you”.
Speaking of Ren, we can’t forget this man calling Jaune out like he did, over something they all agreed to do. Understand, the circumstances they were in. Oscar got kidnapped by an unknown enemy. They were in a snow field with no shelter insight and they could die. All while Oscar was in enemy clutches with no way to reach him. With the facts in mind, was addressing any of what Ren said, important? “No. Why?” because not only was it not of any importance, there were too many counterpoints to his statements.
And what makes this worse, is when the portal to Vacuo, appears before them, they immediately use Jaune as a test subject instead of Emerald. Nope, these two are unless to Jaune if he starts going on the deep end. Emerald and Oscar might be a better choice than either of them. Hell, I’ll take the red-haired woman over them. I want Raven to talk to him or at least Qrow.
I want Raven to come back and talk to him, due to being one of the same. The only difference is Jaune’s actions were based on circumstances, while Raven’s were purely by choice. Imagine Raven telling Jaune every cruel thing she’s ever done. And how some of the decisions she’s made in her life, caused her more grief and hardship than good. She tells Jaune not to make the same mistakes she did. Telling him to press forward despite everything he has gone through. I wouldn’t mind if Raven bothers to train him if Jaune asks of her. And if that can't happen then give that role to Qrow. However, there is one person Jaune needs to stay away from and kill. Tyrian.
Tyrian is one of those toxic individuals, who will use and manipulate people to do things recklessly. Like I said before, the people's faith in the hunters could be diminishing. People like Tyrian will take advantage of this by using violence and chaos as a solution. When it's simply him pushing his own agenda. Tyrian was already interested in Jaune, but he never expressed why. Tyrian, in theory was like Jaune but life changed him somehow to be a monster. Jaune who's already close to insanity might as well be another reason fueling Tyrian’s curiosity. Tyrian wants to see how long it will take to break the knight’s spirit until he becomes just like him. Or push him to become another ally for Salem. Basically, instead of like Marco where he just forgets and moves on with his life, Jaune, I agree, becomes more like Samurai Jack. Or in this case, Odysseus, who I probably talk about later.
Samurai Jack, as many know was a Samurai, sent to the future and out for revenge against a demon known as Aku. He has experienced multiple failures, especially trying to find a way home to the past. Soon, he lost all chances of getting home to his family. And to make matters worse, he loses his sword and his way. This led to Jack being on the run and hiding from Aku. Sending him into a downward spiral as he felt all hope was lost. It wasn't until he met Ashi and remembered the good he had done for the people is when he rose to fight again, overcoming his demons. Odysseus, on the other hand, learns a different lesson. Again later.
If that’s the direction Jaune’s character is taking, then these are the requirements. Jaune moves on and embraces the reality that he isn’t the same person he once was before the Ever After. And he needs to find his strength once again. Planning and making better choices than the supposed headmasters and rulers of the world. And the best way to do that is to work on himself while separating from the group. What I’m theorizing is, when Alyx said “You’re not meant to be the hero.”, what could she have meant by it? Probably because while being a hero is good, being a ruler and leader for the people is a lot better.

Hey @ask-milo-suzuki (look! Daddy Legion!)
LEGION YAMAMOTO VS NUCKALAVEE GRIMM
Slayers and hunters fear my hoovesteps
Nuckalavee Grimm info:
Height: 15 feet
Weight: 900lbs
Weapons: Claws, Hooves
Strengths: One of the strongest creatures of Grimm to ever exist, Has caused the deaths of countless Huntsmen and innocent civilians, Immensely powerful (Having killed countless Huntsmen of varying skill including Lie Ren’s parents, Nearly killed Team RNJR), Is extremely durable (Has a multitude of Weapons sticking out of it causing it no harm of discomfort, It took everything Team RNJR had to wear it down and defeat it), Extreme reflexes (Was able to react and counter attacks from Team RNJR when they attacked it from multiple sides and angles), Can stretch its arms for ranged attacks.
Weaknesses: Seems to be only able to move either the Horse or humanoid parts of its body at a time (the humanoid part hanging limp off when the Horse half moves and the Horse standing stock still whilst the humanoid part attacks).
Legion Yamamoto info:
Height:7foot 2 as a humanoid oni but he grows up to 35-40 foot as a true demon
Weight:Unknown but he makes sink holes when he jumps and craters when he falls.
Weapons:metal club, claws, teeth, demon blood art.
Strengths:despite being younger then most demons by the time he steps into the limelight he's one of the strongest demons that lived and he's survived everything up to an unknown death (the whole village was chanting for Kaito to win against Posiden.) Insane strength (threw train cars at muzan as a demon as a human he ripped demons apart and could throw around a massive club to split demons in two as a demon he was strong enough to split mountains and easily threw a large robot triple the size of a tank called Nancy. [According to death battle it should way 15 to 20 tons]) Insane durability (one of the few demons that's immune to sunlight and can't die by decapitation. Being an Oni in the reboot timeline he is bullet and blade proof. He's also been decapitated so many times it's nothing more then a nuisance.) Suprising speed (Despite his massive size he kept up with Douma and helped both the slayers and tanjiro defeat muzan and akaza without slowing down. Kaito believes he's faster than upper moon 4) his blood art gives him the ability to make whatever he eats part of him (ate enough frogs to give himself multiple long tounges gained wings this way. He also did the same to deers cows and elks to grow extra legs. He can use weakened versions of blood arts if he eats a demon as long as he didn't digest them fully. Is the reason he can sprout multiple eyes and arms) Suprisingly good at fighting despite being a brezerker (survived fights against Yoriichi despite knowing what he could do. Fought muzan for 4 hours straight as a human with demon eater powers. Fought akaza to a standstill as a human.)
Weaknesses:he's very straightforward and prideictable in a fight. He canonically dies before the start of Izukus time according to the other Einherjars. While immune to demon weaknesses he has a skin/allergy to water which worsened when he became an Oni (melted to a puddle almost killing him when Milo alsomost got swept away in a flood in the future.) Will sacrifice himself without thinking even if it does more harm then good. He's a massive target.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand the point of Ren’s father running to fight the Nuckelavee when he had Ren in his arms, while they were both disoriented/hurt. Honor be damned! Is your elementary school aged son supposed to take care of himself in the woods with the bandits and other towns presumably also being harrassed by the Grimm? This man was supposed to be a lower case “h” hunter, which implies outdoors experience and knowledge of evading Grimm for at least a while - would it not have made sense for him to, oh I don’t know, take care of his elementary school son in the murder woods? Ren finding Nora and somehow surviving for another decade is just never explained because the writers just wanted some drama without thinking through the complications of making Ren’s dad such an idiot that he damaged his son’s chances for survival just to fight a Grimm that the town is completely ill equipped for, THAT WASN’T EVEN ATTACKING HIM SPECIFICALLY. It was on the other side of the town but he just had to go back to fight it because ???
Plus like, imagine an AU with Li, his son and adoptive daughter processing their grief and possibly even becoming a badass Grimm killing family. Does it not warm your heart at least a little bit?
it was definitely more "rule of cool / drama" than it was anything truly based in realistic thought because even with li as injured as he was: the choice to run & hide with his toddler son was the better option than getting immediately nerfed & then still not being able to protect his son. it was noble, but idiotic.
the au of li & his children is just so 🥺 especially since it would help plug up the holes of just how two toddler aged children ended up surviving post the nuckalavee's attack for over a decade without changing too much. ren & nora can still go to beacon, li doesn't have to follow them through there & we would get another parental figure for the show. win win win.
i'm stealing this au now / hj

So read the new issue of the RWBY and dc comics
Tumblr media
I am so disappointed that they decided to make the design of Cheetah merging with the manticore Grimm just be her fused to its back like a nuckalavee, somehow the most basic idea I had for it is better than the official design!
Tumblr media
I do like that Lex is apparently the whole reason the crossover is happening and I like how they draw Salem

Small details make me wonder if the Grimm are really the kind of threat that Team RWBY and the huntsmen really think they are.
They're still DANGEROUS to be sure, but there seems to be a ton of little details that suggest they're less "abominable soulless and mindless creatures of destruction" and more akin to dangerously territorial wild animals that just happen to be created from Darkness.
The reason why we're inclined to believe that they're abominations is because of the expectations, and also because the only sources of information we have on them come from people who've spent their entire lives fighting against them.
If they were truly soulless, why did the Ursa show confusion at Yang's behavior? Why did those Sabyrs run away in terror when they saw the Hound? The Beringel that Ruby fought is clearly intelligent and roars in triumph when he seems to succeed at killing her. The Sphynx seemed confused and curious about what Yang and Blake were doing to it until it was too late. Even the Apathy were noted as being focused on finding their packmates after the farmer guy lured away their members in his harebrained scheme to calm his staff down.
More often than not, they seem to be reacting more often to BEING attacked, unless they were drawn in by strong negative emotions, are drawn in by a Relic, or being directed by someone else, with exceptions like the Nuckalavee being more due to the fact that that specific monster has a sadistic personality and clearly seems to enjoy hunting for humans and keeping trophies of its kills.
Plus, there's also the fact that towns, despite consistently being stated as being "defenseless and needing huntsmen"...kinda tend to be rather lax about their security, with them basically treating Grimm as being akin to a frustrating, but manageable nuisance. Even Oscar, who wasn't exactly trained as a fighter, treats killing a Grimm as something he can do just fine by himself. and Volume 4 was the one where it was made pretty clear that bandits (specifically, Raven's Tribe) were the ones who caused the damage to the towns like Shion, and the Grimm just popped up afterwards due to the negativity.
Also, being darkness made versions of wild animals with their own intelligence and personalities would still gel well with the details that we've seen. The Goliath in V2 are called cunning and waiting for their chance to strike, but elephants in real life are some of the most intelligent and complex animals with immense capacity for emotions and thought. If they're really just darkness made variations wild animals, why WOULDN'T they be resentful and pissed at being slaughtered?
And let's face it, real life flora and fauna are kinda terrifying. Fungus that can turn animals into zombies. Bees can kill a hornet by rapidly vibrating their bodies and cooking them to death. Many deep sea creatures look something out of a fantasy horror or Cthulu mythos story. Dolphins and Orcas are sadists who take great joy in tormenting their prey.
If the Grimm weren't made of darkness, they wouldn't be that different from wild animals that have their personalities and complex systems of behaviors.
We're told repeatedly that the God of Darkness' works were "vile imitations of life", but this is not only coming from people whose only source of information was unreliable narrator, but also one who was directly being influenced by the God of Light, who is pretty much a selfish tyrant who constantly did everything he could to maintain a relationship of dominance with his brother.
So frankly, it's possible that everything we know about Grimm is basically propaganda or pseudoscience perpetuated by a deeply flawed system. They're still a danger, but only if you're foolish enough to provoke them and/or only if someone else is deliberately setting them on you. But the Huntsmen Academies teach everyone that they're dangerous soulless creatures built on assumptions that in turn are built on a GoL-biased perspective, that the huntsmen academies are needed to exterminate the Grimm and that the world needs their protection... and no one is able or willing to consider repudiating this because the idea never occurred to them to do so.
It'd just be another layer to RWBY's theme of questioning and examining the narratives you've been told, even the ones that seem to be accurate.
EDIT: To be honest, that'd also put the Mountain Glenn situation in a different light too. That instead of Grimm being monsters who deliberately went out of their way to ravage the place, the people of Vale instead stupidly built the settlement ON TOP of a nest of Grimm in their territory, and accidentally provoked them.
EDIT2: I should note that this doesn't make Team Remnant bad guys or anything, but it's just showing that even when they're trying to do the right thing, it can be difficult to recognize the layers upon layers of propaganda and social conditioning set upon them by a flawed society. That even the things they take for granted as being true and correct are only seen as such because no one ever challenged the idea.
That's not "little details not adding up", that's reaching and deliberately misinterpreting or even outright ignoring the canon to support a conclusion you've already decided is true against a lack of evidence. RWBY has a lot of symbolism tied up in the Grimm, what they are and what they represent, and to throw that all away to "subvert expectations" would be a waste.
Also speaking as a biologist, Grimm do not act like wild animals except in a few behaviors like growling or snarling. They act like animal-shaped demons hellbent on eradicating human life.

Something I definitely want to go back to is this analysis I began penning up during the beginning of the pandemic about the Grimm. It was due to V8 actually, Blake's fight against the Cenitaur or whatever. Putting fight choreography and quality aside, it kinda stood out to me that a lot of people think Grimm like that were supposed to be weak, that Blake should've floored it with zero effort. With Grimm like the Sea Fei Long, the Sphynx, Geists, and Nuckalavee, I thought it was weird that a big boy like this was thought to be fodder. I was going to look through the series and see how easy/hard to defeat Grimm have been through the series and see how valid this view point was.
The analysis was going to look at individual species of Grimm performance through the series, ranking them from 1-5: 1 was glorified target (goes down in one hit, doesn't fight back), 2 was punching bag (takes multiple hits, still doesn't fight back), 3 was common mook (fights back but causes no real damage), 4 was actual enemy (causes noticeable damage), and 5 was boss (takes a long time to kill, requires a team to beat, or nearly defeats someone)
I didn't get passed V3 before my dumb brain got distracted by other things. However, I do believe something substantial came from what little I've seen.
It's the Breach.
Literally over 100 Grimm get mowed down in the Breach. More than 50% of them are ranked as 1. Only 3 Grimm even attempt to attack. The only Grimm to land an attack is a Boarbatusk running over an AK. I knew the Breach really neutered the threat of Grimm but holy hell, putting it into numbers is astounding.

The whole Taiyang discourse did make me think about how Volume 4's other theme could be "Familial Relationships". Or rather, the complex nature of parental figures, their relationships and how they can shape and impact the way their children grow and are affected.
Prior to this point, familial relationships tended to be kept to the background, with only some characters receiving any significant focus on parent-related issues (Yang, Weiss, Winter, Jaune).
But in Volume 4, we start to really get a substantial amount of information and seeing for ourselves just how much the parental figures in the characters' life influenced them.
On the broken side of things, we have Ruby and Yang's broken family, with Tai trying to be a good Dad but failing because he's emotionally negligent and lacking awareness. Qrow and Raven's fraught relationship due to the latter abandoning her family for reasons unknown, and Qrow's distant uncle figure constantly torn between his love for what few people he's close to and still has in his life, and his own self-loathing and work for Ozpin. Whatever the hell happened to Summer.
For the Schnee family, we have Jacques being an abusive dick and how all of his family members are in varying degrees of abuse response.
Nora and Ren being orphans, with the latter's family being good people but having their lives taken from them before their time.
And Salem is introduced as this terrifying maternal figure villain, whose motives are unknown and her ability to inflict immense fear and harm through emotional manipulation her most notable trait.
On the flipside, we've got the parents who did their best to be good parents, but who found themselves having difficulty due to outside problems. With Ren's parents, it was being killed by the Nuckalavee, and the trauma that came from losing his family and him making the connection between Kuroyuri wanting to disconnect from Mistral's authority to their death that would lead to his behavior in Atlas.
And then we have Blake's family, Kali and Ghira, who honestly end up being the best parents compared to everyone else, since it was clear that the problem lay with Adam grooming and twisting their daughter instead of anything necessarily wrong with them. They're noticeably supportive and recognize that their daughter is traumatized by Adam's cruelty, and do everything in their power to show their love and affection. Also think that in the case of Sun, both of them trying to protect their daughter differently, because Kali recognized that he was a well meaning likable idiot who never intended harm, and Ghira not liking him because he felt the guy being a well meaning idiot didn't change how much Sun didn't really understand his daughter's emotional state at all.
I think this is especially notable given that I think Blake and Yang's family storylines were deliberately paralleled to each other. Blake steadily finding her resolve again through strong emotional support and coming to terms with what had happened to her, vs Yang having to patch herself together, to "be just right" for everyone else despite receiving very little emotional support from the person who should be helping her the most.
Aaaaand...yeah.
Dang, this was incredibly insightful, kudos!

Roman reigns x Scarlet (OC)

Warnings: angst, errors I may have missed. If you're new to this story I use their real names. It just fit better to me🤷
Also if you're new Roman is a gargoyle along with Jimmy and Jey, drew is a lycan (werewolf), sami is bigfoot. Hopefully when you read this that helps make it make a little more sense. Cryptids are one of my special interests so I used it to my advantage.

"Hades WTF are you here?" Joe yelled, his fists still cleanched.
"It would seem you're still not over perspheone... Tsk tsk!" Hades shook his head.
"Wait Hades? As in the Greek god of the underworld Hades?" I asked looking at Joe "and who's Persephone?"
"You haven't told her?" Hades grinned wickedly
"Keep your mouth shut Hades! You've already done enough damage! You still havent answered my question! Why are you even here?" Joe said through grinted teeth.
"Joe... What's going on?" I asked.
Joe sighed heavily "Scarlet, please go! I'll explain later but you have to go!"
"I don't know what you're playing at Joe but-" a loud crash cut me off along with the sound of grunting noises "Rami!" I whispered.
A low growl from another direction "leave them alone Hades!" Drew yelled jumlijg in front of me and Joe "he's not here by coincidence" Drew said "Jonathon sent him here just like he sent the nuckalavee after the 2 of you!"
"Oh you've got to go!" Hades yelled changing into his true form and coming after me, only for Joe to charge at him and knock him to the ground "where's Josh?" Joe asked.
"We haven't heard from him in a while! I've been trying to get a hold of him but nothing" Rami shrugged before looking at Joe confused "why didnt you change into your gargoyle form?"
A smirk formed on Joe's face "I'm not Joe!"
My heart started pounding "Loki?" I said
"Hello scarlet!" Loki smirked at me "yes I'm Loki but I've only temporarily taken over Joe. He's still here"
"Only a god can kill another god!" I said
"You won't kill me Loki!" Hades said finally getting up "I have the entire underworld to go through before you'll find my string"
"Hades.... I don't need to go to the underworld" Loki smirked "you're gonna take me there"
Hades laughed hysterically "no I'm not" his smile suddenly faded when he realized a deep glowing light had started to come up from around him, it was the gateway to the underworld. The river Styx was just below him. I handed Loki a coin "please leave Joe! I need him here!"
A soft green mist left Joe's body before entering Hades "a god in a god" Loki smirked "I'll return shortly"
While I would've fallen to the ground Joe simply staggered a few steps and regained his composure before looking at me "we have a lot to talk about! Come on hop on my back and we'll head home!" He said softly "I trust you 2 can handle it from here for now until Loki gets back?"
Rami and Drew nodded their heads in unison as I climbed on Joe's back "I've missed this" he smiled before flying away "I love feeling against me when I fly!"
The sun was setting and a beautiful pink hue covered the sky. I think it was time we had some time to ourselves again.

The Grimm incursion has made its way to Metropolis and Team RWBY faces off against Lex Luthor! But why is Lex at the center of the Remnant’s breach into the DCU?
Wonder Woman gains a healing semblance just in time, how handy
Cheetah merged with the Manticore?? Like Joker and the Nuckalavee? Oh boy…
Ah and the characters are thinking the same thing
Um, remember Volume 7, it’s fear and trust that are enemies, not truth… although I guess truth leads to trust? Eh
Poor RWBY girls, getting sidelined, oof. Of course, it doesn’t last very long
Hey Supes!
And ugh, hey Lex
Ha, RWBY has Lex’s number immediately, of course
Oh Lex, you made a deal with Salem?
A Chill-infected Superman? Oh NO
Although the book establishes that an actual Chill can’t possess a host for more than a few minutes… although a few minutes with Superman’s power is still pretty bad.
Ok, the girls are figuring things out! Lex Luthor is.. well, Lex Luthor, but seems to have gotten over his head. And I suppose we will see how this cliffhanger gets resolved!

Now that Animaniacs season 2 has been out for a bit, I'm gonna post some of my favorite stuff that I colored for it! Starting with these creatures from Warner's Ark- I think the Nuckalavee is one of my favorite things I've done for the show as a whole
