Two of my favorite moments from the LoTR books are centered around Merry and Pipin and I think demonstrate the difference in their characters beautifully

Merry in Book 1: "Hey Frodo, this grand journey you're about to go on...does it have anything to do with that ring that Bilbo always has on him but tries to hide? The one that turns him invisible sometimes? Yeah I knew about that but it wasn't my business so I never asked."

Pippin in Book 3: "What do you mean Strider's a king??"

thinking about matt

I'm always thinking about Matt!! Remember how Mike and Michael mentioned he suffered a bad consolidation?

I was relistening to episode 36 commentary and Dylan suggested it's possible that Matt has tinitus (because he listens to brown noise while he sleeps) and that it could be an after effect of a consolidation.

So much has happened to Matt and his body that he has no idea about. Him getting shot, attacked, consolidated, killed, moved through time, liquidated and more and he probably knows only a small, small fraction of it.

Yet if Matt was told about it, he would probably not care or hold it against Mikey, just as he told Mikey that he doesn't hold a grudge agianst him when Mustardseed sent him the recordings from episode 23.
