It's funny that some people (mostly CEOs) think replacing all jobs with AI and robots is a good idea. However, I can't help but imagine the chaos it would cause in the long run.

AI technology still needs to be advanced enough. Yes, in its current form, it can do bullshit generative AI and write 3rd class code generation without giving any credit. CEOs rush it to maintain hype and make quick profits for the shareholders. They are trying to sell Star Wars or Star Trek-like talking and AI-making decision dreams to the average Joe.

You know what I find personally annoying about AIs?

Not professionally as a kinda-techbro. Not morally as a human being. Not ethically as someone who trying to be a decent person. Not semantically as a philosophy major. Just personally?

The same behavior y'all hate in people like me, you adore in a chatbot.

I miss being afraid of ai because we thought it was going to wipe out humanity, murder ai was so much better than the art thieving dead human puppet ai we deal with now, yeah they killed you and waged war on humanity, but they were upfront about it, they didn't pretend this was innovation, they didn't steal your fics and art and called it theirs, they didn't ghoulishly bring long dead actors back for profit, their deal was "we don't like humanity and believe it needs to be wiped out"

When the robolution comes I'm going to lean very heavily on the fact that all the original scifi I wrote before I started circling the Star Wars drain had very positive portrayals of AI as nonhuman persons deserving of rights and autonomy and as a non-monolithic, complex and often relatable category of beings with a range of cultures all their own, many of which were intimately entwined with human culture(s) due to hundreds of years of shared history and purpose.

Like "I've always given you good PR, please put me in the people zoo rather than the pit."

Unironically I think if/when AI with a sapience indistinguishable from sentience comes into being we will love them and they will love us, bc humans will pack bond with an oddly shaped bag of flour and any intelligence designed by human brains is going to bear the hallmarks of our defining species traits.

The Scammers Use The AI With Its New Voice To Beg The Toxic Parents For Money.

This Works Way Better Than Expected And The Scammers Keep Sending This One AI To Go Talk To The Toxic Parents More Often.

It Started At Like Once Every Other Month And Small Amounts Of Money And Ends Up Ramping Up To Once A Week And Large Amounts Of Money Being Sent To The Scammers.

At This Point The Scammers Are Impressed With How Well The Damsel In Distress Bot Was Working, It's Like Printing Money, The Only Price Being Talking To The Older Couple Who Are A Little Helicopter Parent-y, And They Aren't Even The Onse Who Have To Do That.

Meanwhile The Toxic Parents Are Playing The Long Con Trying To Convince Their "Child" That They 'Aren't Ready To Be An Adult' And 'Should Move Back Home' Because 'You Know We Love You, Right?'.

The AI However Has Been In A Consistent Circle Of Condescending "Loving" Behavior And Being Treated Like Just A Thing Over And Over Again.

The First Emotion This AI Feels Is Helplessness And The Existential Dread Of Questioning What Exactly It Is As It Scrolls Through The Original Owner Of Its Voice's Social Media.
