Katara: *brings up her mother’s death, someone who died in her place because of ethnic cleansing, less than 10 times in show about world-wide colonization*
Fans: Katara is SO ANNOYING. She brings up her mom’s death every three minutes and I wish she’d just stop.

Salt Scrub
Salt scrubs are a great way to incorporate physical cleansing into your routine - they help exfoliate, reduce inflammation, and improve blood circulation whilst also having the cleaning and protection qualities of salt, dried herbs, and oils. The recipe is easy, cheap, and quick making it one of the most accessible recipes I have.
Salt scrubs are not recommended for people with skin conditions or sensitive skin, and salt can dry out your skin so be sure to moisturize after use. As a rule of thumb, you should not use a salt scrub more than 1-2 times a week.
General Recipe:
1 cup of sea salt
1/4 cup of carrier oil
10-20 drops of essential oil
1 tbsp of herbs such as lavender, rose or chamomile and/or vitamin E oil (ensure they are crushed well)
In a bowl, stir together the salt and oil
Add the essential oil and herbs
Store in a sealed glass jar in a cool location until ready to use
To use a salt scrub, apply to damp skin in circular motions gentle for 20-30 seconds before rinsing well.
Weekly Cleanse Scrub
1 cup of salt of choice
1/4 cup carrier oil (jojoba, almond, vegetable, sunflower etc.)
10-20 total drops of lemon balm, tea tree, witch hazel and lavender
0.5 - 1 tablespoon moon water
1 tablespoon of dried lavender and lemon peel (optional)
1 tablespoon vitamin E oil (optional)
Venus-Inspired Salt Scrub
1 cup sea salt
1/4 cup of almond oil
1 - 1.5 tablespoons castor oil
10-20 total of drops of the following essential oils: rose, lavender, cedar wood and ylang-ylang or a attraction/love oil
1 tablespoon of dried rose petals
1 tablespoon vitamin E oil
As always, adapt the recipes as needed for what you have and to your own practice <3

I finally deep cleaned my altar space with warm water, some lavender, lemon, and just a pinch of salt, and then set it up for October.
Not gonna lie, I can feel that area breathing again for the first time in weeks. I finally feel calm and inspired again when I look at my altar.
Now I'll need to slowly work my way around my home, too, and I think I might use that lavender-lemon-salt mix on a few more areas. Some vinegar as well. Especially the kitchen, bathroom, and my tiny hallway.
So many things need a serious deep-cleaning session, but I'll try to be patient and work according to my physical abilities.

lemon + salt spell for cleansing stale/negative energy
Tumblr media
What you need:
a lemon
a knife to cut the lemon
salt
a dish on which to pour salt
something to put it on (plate, bowl, etc.)
What to do:
cleanse all the tools and ingredients however you feel comfortable (i use sound thru music playing and smoke cleansing)
cut the lemon in half - if you're able, envision the lemon being able to access the negativity after being opened and slowly pulling all the stale or negativity in.
pour salt into the dish you have set aside and place your intention on the salt to allow it to keep the negativity in the lemon. Focus on the salt acting as a protective barrier for the lemon so the negativity cannot break free, not as a door that it cannot get in.
coat the lemon halves by putting them open-face first into the salt. If you may choose to sprinkle the salt on the lemon instead, there is no need for the dish for salt.
place the lemon halves with salt on the dish you have designated for them and you may put them in a room of your home or living space that holds the most stale or negative energy. If the whole place is equally stale/negative, place in the main room or kitchen or place that is frequented.
if the lemon molds, redo the cleansing spell, the rotting lemon means that it has collected a lot very quickly. best result is that the lemon dries out without molding. I normally repeat this every couple months.

The Pressing of Olive Oil – The Pressing of Jesus
The Pressing of Olive Oil – The Pressing of Jesus About a year ago I saw an Instagram post by Dave Adamson that brought several analogies to mind and inspired me to do some research and write a post. His post was about Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane and the parallels of an olive press (“Gethsemane”) and Jesus being pressed with the weight of our sin and his sacrifice. As we enter the…

If there’s one thing that’s been misappropriated to hell and back and I hate how now it’s everywhere and it’s all wrong: egg cleanses.
I had to read someone just now say “bubbles are good spirits watching over you!” naw, that’s the eyes of ENEMIES on you, it’s all the jealousy and envy they sent you, it’s precisely why you had to cleanse. Yes, different people will read it slightly different, and depending on how many bubbles and how they’re disposed in the glass it’s different details, but that for sure ain’t friendly eyes.
It’s very simple thinking: the egg absorbs all the bad stuff you had on you, why would it absorb “the eyes of angels/good spirits watching over you”????? makes no sense. It only absorbs malefic things and it’s telling you what those malefic or problematic things were. That’s how you spot misappropriated shit: you now know better, if you see anything that doesn’t follow that logic? it’s been appropriated, taken out of context, without sense or logic, wrong, and potentially dangerous.
And for the love of god, stop reading it from above or posting pics from the top of the glass. IDC IF IT’S “AESTHETIC” IT’S WRONG. If you look at the glass with the egg from the top, you’ll absorb everything you’ve cleansed again and like my grandma said: a cleanse done wrong it’s worse than no cleanse at all. Whatever symptoms and problems you had are not only gonna come back but stronger and worse. Only ever read the egg on a tall glass looking from the side, through the glass, not looking at it directly from the top.
There’s lots of other details like this I could tell you but I won’t share publicly now because I don’t want appropriators to get something to fake legitimacy, like there’s more ways to prevent the nasty things from getting back onto you and different people will do it slightly different too but It’s so important that you know how to avoid re-absorbing something that you’ve cleansed off of you AND NONE OF THESE MFS WILL EVER TELL YOU THAT THAT’S EVEN A THING because appropriators don’t know. Because someone who didn’t grow up in this don’t know and could never know. Watch out for that, because there’s lots online.

TsubaKuro Salt
Tsubakura's taste in salt, like much of their choices in food, has a penchant to disgust Kuroji. Though it is more baffling here than some of their...other choices. Especially since it is less Tsubakura being Tsubakura and more an accommodation to Yabusame's love of ungodly amounts of the stuff. Tsubakura just thinks Kuroji has no sense of adventure when it comes to food.
Of course, Kuroji is quite the hypocrite when it comes to salt. They are very prone to putting large amounts of it on their food. This is less out of preference and more out of pragmatism, mainly due to it being the only seasoning they can actually afford that lets them actually taste anything. Tsubakura naturally teases them for it quite a bit when it comes up (though Tsubakura is still definitely worse when it comes to salt).
Kuroji sometimes gets salt thrown at them as a warding gesture because they act like a demon (or really just the common caricature of youkai). Naturally, Tsubakura sometimes gets in on it, something about fulfilling their duties as priest (when in reality they just want to fuck with Kuroji). They did once help Kuroji rinse the salt out when it got in their eyes though (Kuroji claims they could've gotten it out themself, even though they were stumbling around blindly; not that Tsubakura cares).

hi my love I can't remember if you posted skincare tips on here or main but you have any makeup remover recs I can't even wait til 🍭 time it's so bad
hello angel💕 I can’t remember either & tumblr won’t let me search😩 but I’m diving in!
first, my skins sensitive and I don’t like putting much on it so the simpler the better. I really love using cleansing balms or cleansing oils when it comes to makeup remover bc I can trust that it gets a lot of it all. some of my faves are:
- DHC cleansing oil (you can get the mini bottle for a lot cheaper than the full size & it still lasts a long time)
- PeaceOut blemish balm (I don’t use this everyday bc it’s exfoliating)
- Ponds makeup remover
- i like Sephora’s makeup removers too
- Sulwhasoo, love all their cleaners
- Peach & Lily, Innisfree, and Beauty of Joseon <- love their stuff and their cleaners are perf too
hope this helps or gives you an idea!!🫶🏽 & dont be intimidated by the oil ones too btw. it took me a while to hope on board with oil products bc I was like…the last thing I want is oily skin but it was the opposite lol they’ve made my skin so soft & nearly textureless
