What the fuck is up with Hook
Why is he at some random prep school? He’s already got the hook hand, so Peter Pan has already cut it off meaning he’s been to Neverland, also he says he’s a captain so like why the fuck are you here
I hate this movie so fucking much, nothing about it makes sense to me, why is Hades a teenager, why did they make some fankid of a Sofia the first villain instead of using one of the many Disney Villains that exist, why is Maleficent a lackey, why am I devoting so much of my time to try and make sense of this movie

Sorta a continuation of this post.
I’ve been thinking more about reverse robins AU with Duke as the Dick/Nightwing parallel, and I have some ideas.
So like, Duke came first. He was the light to Batman’s darkness. I don’t know if he would start off with Signal or another mantle and become Signal later on, but he definitely had the bright colors from the start. Batman might be the Dark Knight but Duke was Gotham’s (K)night Light. Batman fought what hid in the shadows but Signal chased the shadows away, provided a guiding light home. He was the Sunshine when the never ending grey clouds got too thick. He was Gothams hope and inspiration for a brighter future.
But don’t forget he was also a menace. I don’t think it would go down exactly like it did in the comics, it was the early years for Batman-and for the villains as well. After Duke’s parents were gone (maybe by Joker still turning them mad with Joker gas in Joker earliest year, maybe year one for him or something else) he started planning. He started working harder in school, focusing on the sciences to one day make a cure but also would go out looking for his parents, like in canon. He would stumble into things way bigger, overhearing plots from villains and mafias and decided to become an inconvenience for them. Letting the airs out of tires when no one was watching, a fire alarm pulled right before an attack, door stoppers on the outside of each door to a warehouse trapping the villains who where planning inside. A sudden strong of bad luck befalling the main terrors of Gotham. It didn’t go unnoticed, especially by Batman. Duke kept his streak of being unseen until one night he crossed paths with the Bat.
Bruce for his part would have know about the little boy who lost his parents in the attack, and it would have also brought up some memories for him as well. He would have kept a small track of him, but noticed he was in foster care so didn’t do much until one day he came across the reason behind all the karma the villain have be having. Looking into the boys eyes and seeing the same fire that he had, blazing more fierce as Duke explains how he will find his parents and save them, and if he could prevent more bad things along the way he will. Something pinging in Bruce’s soul, this kid lost his parents like he did but not fully, and he still had hope among the need for justice, something that had faded so long ago for himself. He took Duke back that day, promising that he will find Duke’s parents, and kept a closer eye on him after the fact.
Duke noticed that after that day it became like clockwork, he would sneak out, search Gotham, cause a little chaos, get caught by the Bat and brought back to his current foster home. Bruce did some digging, looked for Dukes parents but also found out that Leslie Thompkins was the person in charge of Duke’s case. After a few weeks of the new schedule he met up with Dr. Thompkins. They talked about how Duke has been bounced around from home to home and sneaking out to find his parents almost every night. After a long conversation, and not as much convincing as one would expect, Duke found himself being driven to his next foster home, Wayne Manor.
Okay I’m going to leave this here for now. I ended up writing so much more than I though I would lmao. I have more ideas and will probably continue this soon.

I gave myself a writing challenge and I am fascinated by it
So basically I put the robins in a randomizer to give them a new order/role (because I just...kinda wanted to see what would happen + I like role-reversal AUs) and got results that are giving me a fucking brain blast.
Stephanie, the first sidekick who defines the role
Tim, the sidekick who dies and comes back wrong
Dick, the sidekick who saves Batman from himself
Damian, the sidekick who was never supposed to be a sidekick but would go on to prove everyone wrong
Jason, the youngest sidekick who is still the Kid Wonder
...So this is fucking wild. I've got some ideas and several of these fit perfectly (Dick's role is pretty similar to his one in canon), but some of these are fucking INCREDIBLE to explore (Steph being the first Robin is something I never even considered but tbh I kinda love it).
I probably won't write a fic or anything because tbh I don't like publishing my writing that much, but I might expand this into a full AU and post about it. I might randomize other stuff too (ie, stuff that I cannot change vs stuff that I cannot keep the same) but this fucking rules as a starting point.

Maybe it was just a throwaway thing to sell more legos maybe it isn’t the same for all dragons but in s1 the ninjas’ dragons went off to migrate and metamorphose into the ultra dragon and Wu said every adolescent dragon goes through some transformation before maturing. I wonder if Riyu will go thru some sort of change (other than getting bigger) since they said he’s teenaged as far as dragon maturity goes n I wonder if he’ll break away from the rest of the ninja for a while to do so

Adventure Poll!
Previous Poll
You sweep the earthen cloak over your shoulders and search for a clasp, but you find you don't need one. The cloak sits perfectly across your shoulders without slipping. You twist left and right, testing the garment, and it stays firmly in place while swishing around your legs with the sound of a soft breeze through grass. There's a tickle at your wrist and when you pull back your sleeve you see the bruises there are almost completely gone. In their wake, that odd marking has become more prominent. You quickly shake your sleeve back over it, and then pocket the emerald-veined stone.
You close and lock the door behind you with care and you start walking. You make it pretty far without looking back, but eventually you do pause and look one more time at your humble home. You affix the image of it in your mind, and can't help but worry you'll never see it again. A wobble of fear and longing enter your heart and make your knees feel weak.
From beneath you, you feel a hum of reassurance. The earth seems to move to steady and reassure you--no, not the earth, something within it. You glance down and see the cloak has stretched to the ground and rooted you there. It connects you to the expansive root system of the towering old oak nearby. It stands like a guard tower, resolute and unyielding to time. It was here when you first arrived. It will be here when you come back.
When you come back.
You take a deep breath and turn back to the road, and the cloak releases its hold on the ground to dance around your ankles again.
"So what's the plan?" the stone asks eagerly.
"Walk to town first, figure out our next move once we're there," you answer. One step at a time. Town isn't so far away after all.

help my brain is doing that thing where it brings up something that an old friend said to make me angry in 2016...but then realizes this person actually had, for our whole relationship from like jr high through to young adulthood, a habit of being rude, condescending, or just plain mean. and also getting mad anytime someone told her "hey, that was mean" and refusing to apologize and....huh, i guess i shouldn't be surprised she eventually burned down our friendship by making fun of me for having a "marketing job" because it wasn't "cool" enough for her, the upper-middle-class kid whose parents paid her way through university and young adulthood so she literally never worked a day until she got her dream job...
