Why I picked the tribes I did and a little bit of rambles under the cut ✨✨✨

Vil: I made Vil a silk/rainwing hybrid. It wasn’t for any personality reasons, but because the two tribes are considered the two prettiest tribes in the books. So I felt that it made sense for him.

Idia: made him a silkwing. Specifically a flame silk. I figured it fit better than making him a fire scales skywing. Mostly because of the color pallet, but also because Flame silk is like a more controllable fire scales. And I know flame silks aren’t on fire, but I figure I could set the spines going down his back on fire to mimic his hair. And floofy tuffs.

Malleus: Nightwing!! It made the most sense from a color stand point, as well as the air of mystery he gives off! (To at least everyone besides Yuu/the player) and yes. I gave him the mindreading tear drop scales. Figured that alone might make him slightly more intimidating. Not sure, but I also just like how they look X3 (I could so see him either choosing not to read other peoples minds because 1- it’s rude or 2- want to be “less intimidating”)

and like the last time I did this, I pulled the colors off their character models (besides the grey on Idia)

also!!! Very tempted to make an AU out of this. So this could maybe possibly happen. We will see!

Twst x Wings of Fire AU: Trey

Livia: *Hurries away near Kalim, Azul on Kalim's other side*

Kalim: *Shudders when a fireball hit his back, his skin heating up then cooling down in seconds*

Guard A: WHAT THE-

Sebek: He's fireproof! SURPRISE!! *kicks the guard down, sending them crashing into the ground below*

Jaseem: *Darts past Sebek, fighting guards in his way, clearing a path for Kalim, Azul and Livia to escape*

???: *Rams into a guard behind Sebek* Made it in time I see!!

Sebek: *Smiles wide*

Trey: *Grins at them, fixing his glasses* Let's get out of here!

Livia: TREY!!

Trey: We can talk once we escape! Let's go!

Sebek: *Nods hurrying after them, then looks back curiously*

Jessi, Malleus and Christina: *Pops into view, throwing books out of the castle and anything flammable*

Sebek: *Stops for a moment, watching them*

Trey: Go ahead, Sebek!! You know where to meet us!!!

Sebek: *Nods and hurries over to the three, thudding down beside Malleus and quickly throwing the flammable objects out*

Jessi: *Looks at him then smiles, reaching over and stroking his cheek*

Sebek: *Stares at her then smiles slightly, continuing to remove the books and papers, sending them blowing away in the wind*

Trey: *Turns and leads the others away* Let's go!

Sebek: *Lands and runs over to his waiting friends* GUYS!

Jaseem: Ooo, Sebby has something shiny~~

Sebek: *Puffs his chest out proudly* It's a medal of honor! Malleus bestowed it upon me before I left!

Livia: *Giggles, fluttering her wings*

Kalim: How do you feel about everything now?

Sebek: I...I'm still mad at them for betraying me, and I still don't think highly of Malleus that much anymore....

Sebek: *Grins at them* But that's alright! I have a new dream now that my old one has been fulfilled!

Azul: *Smiles at him teasingly* What's your silly dream this time

Sebek: To protect you guys and fight anyone that comes my way! Throw me over a hundred guards and I'll battle them till my last breath!!

Azul: Technically that is impossible no single person could-

Sebek, Jaseem and Kalim: *Tackles Azul causing him to yelp*

Livia: I'll rescue you, Zuzu! *Leaps into the fray laughing with them*

Trey: *Laughs, smiling at them*

Kalim: Wait! Trey, how'd you find us!?

Trey: *Smirks at them cheekily* Followed your path of destruction, you five left quite some rumors

Azul: How'd you escape?

Trey: Some merman named Scar freed me, told me to find you all as quick as I could...

Azul: That's the name of the merman that Harpoon said kept bothering him about me

Livia: Who's Scar and...is he a friend or foe

Jaseem: Must be a friend, seems like he's fussing over Azul the most though

Sebek: But why, I get fussing over Azul but what's his aim, why does he care about Azul so much?

Azul: Maybe he wants to use me, remember Harpoon told me to convince you guys to choose Scathe maybe this is another way to make me do so....

Jaseem: *Scowls, his hair turning red* If that's the case, this Scar guy has another thing coming!

Livia: YEAH!

Trey: How's Bird?

Sebek: BIRD! I FORGOT!!

Trey: *Rushes after the group to go check on their poisoned guardian* I think we might be able to save her!

Jaseem: How?

Trey: Back in the Scalding Sands! Around your home area, Jaseem!

Jaseem: *Perks up, his eyes wide* If I have venom-

Sebek: Then they might know a thing or two about poison!

Kalim: Let's get Bird and go then!!

Azul and Livia: Yeah!

Scar: *Looks over as Harpoon landed* Why did you return him!? IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT!!

Harpoon: The brat kept yelling at me to bring him back to his precious friends

Scar: If Azul had gotten hurt because of you, I'd have ripped your wings off!!

Harpoon: Not my fault you promised that brats mother you'd protect him, an old friend of yours was she?

Harpoon: Yet, she still chose someone else over you, you sorry excuse of a merman

Scar: *Slashes Harpoons cheek* WATCH IT!!

Scar: I promised to keep her son safe and that's what I'll do! So whenever he's in trouble you're gonna swoop your tail in there and remove him from the danger!!

Harpoon: Alright, Mister Never the Choice

Scar: *Hisses and turns away, walking down the path*

They will be in the library, giggling as they read the books

If Malleus was able to be in Yuu world to see the author, expect him to full on have all the merchandise

Malleus will absolutely be fascinated by Darkstalker: The Legend

Will definitely refer to Yuu as Clearsight at random times

Yuu would call Malleus Darkstalker in return

It would be funny and comical as everyone tried to figure why they call eachother such strange names

They will absolutely try to call the other students different names from the series

“Ah, it seems Sunny (Kalim) is bothering Glory (Leona) again Tsunatorou.”

“Indeed Clearsight, here comes Professor Kestral (Trein).”

Let’s say, everyone is confused at these strange nicknames

Even Floyd was tiny bit nervous as he was the one with the suspicious nicknames

Yuu snorted at Malleus random appearance and answer

Let’s say Malleus and Yuu ran quickly from a angry..slippery eel (if you know, you know)

Lilia:

Lilia is amused by such silly concepts as he calls it (it be a silly concept when I-)

He enjoys it as mere fairytales, but that what he thought when he read the prophecy of the first arc

He would immediately latch onto the book series

As the cultures, history, and mystery of playing detective got him

Lilia will immediately stamp Queen Scarlet as point of interest

“Fufufu~! I’ve never thought that Queen Scarlet would be this enthusiastic about colosseum battles.”

His favorite would definitely be Blister. A wicked mastermind? Absolutely.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lilia starts to be huffy over her death

Silver will snooze it through

It’s confirmed that Malleus and Yuu will nickname him Coconut (I’m not even joking)

Silver won’t be interested much in the first arc, but he will definitely will be in the second arc

I mean, he gonna be interested there was a strange voice turning out to be Darkstalker, a magic scroll of animus magic, and even more knightly behavior from Qibli and Winter

His favorite gonna be Winter

Cold face (even though it’s their normal face), stiff, and somehow have a connections to animals (humans-), and a possibility of Silver being Auror-

Yeah, you get the point

Though our sleepy boi is always sleeping, he is vigilant

He definitely will be invested enough to put in little facts for theories with Yuu and the others

Expect him to snore at the boring parts of the books

Definitely will read the epilogue of each book for new details

He will not take kindly at Lilia idea of having sleeping darts made for research purposes (Sebek RUN)

Will have a hammock and whenever he naps, Malleus and Lilia will deem it Suntime

Most likely will have a RainWings persona from Lilia accordingly

Sebek you can’t just tell profanities at 4:35 a.m cause of some event happen in the books

No Sebek, you can’t throw the Dragonslayer book into the furnace

Sebek will definitely not be happy over the dragonslayer book at all

Sebek is now called Tsunami

He will absolutely hold the nickname dear to him as it was given by Malleus out of amusement

Sebek is gonna yell at Silver to wake up and not be a literal RainWings

Drew some of the Twisted Wonderland housewardens as Wings of Fire dragons

(what dragons I made them and why under the cut✨)

Riddle: made Riddle a skywing. Mostly because of color but also most Skywing seem to be quick to anger and that fit him really well. (Wanna point out I tried to make a heart shaped indent in Riddle’s horns as I couldn’t do a heart shape with hair haha)

Leona: I nearly made him a hivewing due to them living in a Savana. But ultimately made him a sandwing, very happy I did because I could semi- translate his hair onto a dragon using the sandwing mane-sail thing.

Azul: Made him a seawing! They’re the only tribe that can breathe underwater and live in the sea so it was a no brainer.

Kalim: I made him a Sandwing/rainwing hybrid! Sandwing fit his character design better, but the laid back nature of Rainwings also fit him really well, so I made him a hybrid.

all their colors were pulled off their in game models. Mostly their hair tbh (excluding Leona who I pulled color from his lion ears, and Azul who I mostly pulled from his OB where he’s in his mer-form. Although I did slightly change some of Azul’s colors). Kalim was a pain as I ended up fiddling with colors a lot because his hair didn’t give a lot of wiggle room for color that would fit a rainwing or sandwing.

these were super fun to do, over a year ago I started to draw Riddle as skywing, but never ended up finishing it. I just kinda hope I translated them over well into WoF dragons

Sebek: *Stares at Malleus then looks back at his friends*

Livia: *Smiles, making a gesture for him to stay and become a knight*

Sebek: *Looks at Malleus* I firmly decline

Malleus: Hm, I see, why's that?

Sebek: To be honest, I dreamed about the moment I could stand next to you as a knight, my friends would listen to be ramble about how amazing you are

Jaseem: *Grins* It was very irksome!

Sebek: *Smiles slightly, throwing Jaseem a playful glare*

Sebek: *Looks back at Malleus* But...there is something more important than standing by your side, your majesty

Malleus: *Smiles* And that is?

Sebek: My friends *Nods to Jaseem, Livia, Azul and Kalim* I've grown up with them to fulfill the prophecy and stop this war, nothing is more important to me than them not you, not being a knight, not anything

Sebek: I've protected them all for as far as I can remember and I don't plan to stop now, so I firmly decline your offer

Malleus: *Chuckles* That is a shame but I understand it....

Jessi: *Smiles at Sebek looking proud* Where are you planning to go next?

Sebek: We're gonna find Jaseem's family! Then we'll see what we can do to find and reunite with Trey!

Azul: Yeah, he must be about as worried for us as we are for him...

Kalim: He took care of us, he's out elder brother

Jessi: *Glances at Malleus then sighs* I was hoping you'd stay, Scathe said it'd be better for you all to stay here

Sebek: *Grabs a guard, launching them backwards, dodging another when they attempted to shackle him*

Jaseem: *Hisses and snaps his jaw open, spitting venom from his canine fangs causing three of the guards to scream and shriek*

Azul: *Yells in surprise getting lifted into the air* NO!! STOP! LEAVE ME WITH MY FRIENDS!!!!

Harpoon: *Beats his wings, flying away with Azul* I don't wish to hear that merman's mouth about you, brat

Azul: *Reaches towards the others his eyes wide* GUYS!!! NO!!

Jaseem: *Snarls fighting against the guards as they shackled him and the others up*

Sebek: *Looks at Jessi* Grandmother!!

Jessi: *Looks down guilty, then walks away*

Christina: *Reaches towards Sebek then follows Jessi when the harness tugged her*

Malleus: *Looks away his expression blank* Bring them to the new prison

TWST x Wings of Fire

Trey slept in his bed of leaves, his glasses perched on a little ledge beside him. He heard footsteps, and opened his eyes, spotting Robin walking past the glint of a knife making his eyes widen. He hurried after her, putting his glasses on hastily. He snuck into Sebeks room, shaking him awake. "Robin has a knife!"Trey whispered. Both hurried out, chasing after Robin, finding her going into Jaseems room. They peeked in, Robin looming over Jaseem before raising the knife. Trey tackled her down, Robin shrieking in fury, causing the others to wake up. Sebek pried the knife out of her hands, tossing it away, Livia bolting in looking alarmed. Azul and Kalim followed behind her, both looking concerned. "What were you up to?!"Sebek demanded Jaseem looking startled. "Jaseem isn't part of the prophecy, he has to go!"Robin yelled Bird rushing in shocked by all the noise.

Dart hurried in behind her, looking concerned. Stork peeked in, showing no signs of wanting to help or care. "She was gonna kill Jaseem!"Trey says. "Robin..."Dart says. "That is a child..."Dart glared snarling at her. "Children deserve to live no matter what!"Dart spat Robin flinching at how aggressive he got. "I will be changing Jaseems room, I don't give a damn about Harpoon's prophecy, Jaseem is part of it now no matter what you say!"Dart snarled. "Jaseem, you'll be rooming with Sebek, I'll be sleeping in here from now on to keep an eye on you kids"Dart says. "Right, put me with the loudmouth..."Jaseem sighed looking annoyed but clearly relieved. Jaseem left the room, following Sebek, the duo walking out into the tunnel. Livia walked between Kalim and Azul, looking worried for their friend before sighing. "Everyone, everyone!"Stork yelled hurrying over, his eyes wide.

"Harpoon is here!"Stork reports looking fearful. "Kids, stay close to us, lets go see him..."Bird sighed. Trey walked in the lead of the others, Sebek and Jaseem flanking him, Kalim, Livia and Azul behind the three. A bald eagle beastman stared them down as they walked in, the six kids lining up from oldest to youngest. "What. Is. That. Thing"Ambert snarled glaring at Jaseem. "One of the Princesses caught our spies, they killed the bear cub and killed our spy as well.."Robin reported Harpoon scowling at her. "So you went and got another brat from the Scalding Sands!"Harpoon snarled. "Yes! Is there a problem with Jaseem you ugly jerk!"Sebek spat. "Yes, there quite is"Harpoon snarled. He looked at Livia and scowled, before looking away. His wing smacked her outside the head, Jaseem screeching in anger and attacking the bird man, Sebek right behind him. The duo slammed Harpoon down, dodging his claws and attempted bites

"OUCH!"Harpoon yelled. He turned, finding Trey there stepping on his tail keeping it from swatting the two boys away, the boys eyes narrowed defiantly. He threw them off then yelled in alarm, feeling teeth now around his tail. He smirked in amusement, looking down at Livia who was trying to tug him back, his tail trapped between her teeth. "Amusing"Harpoon grinned prying her off. "These three will do, this brat here we'll have to see"Harpoon says pointing to Sebek, Jaseem and Trey then at Livia. He looked at Kalim and Azul, then scowled. "Why didn't you two fight, your friends were in danger"Harpoon demanded. "Leave them alone, they're not fighters! Especially Azul!"Sebek spat. "Yeah, it's not their fault they're not fighters!"Jaseem snapped. Harpoon huffed, glaring at Kalim and Azul in disgust. "These two are useless then, not even worth the trouble.."Harpoon snarled. Trey stood in front of Kalim and Azul, gripping the handle of a kitchen knife.

"Touch them and I won't hesitate"Trey threatened a dark look on his face. Harpoon stared him down, flicking his wings. "I thought this one didn't like violence, unless it was necessary, that's what you said in the reports"Harpoon snarled. "Because that's what he does.."Stork answers quietly. "Then what..is this?"Harpoon snarled pointing to Trey, who held up the knife, letting the lamp lights glint of the blade, his eyes darkening warningly. "We didn't know he had this side to him otherwise you'd have been informed about it..sir"Robin sighed throwing Trey a 'you have some explaining to do' glare. Harpoon snorted, eyeing Trey with newfound interest. "This one, make him the leader-"Harpoon starts. "He already is sir, well unofficially, anyway...he's the eldest of them and he takes care of them like a big brother, they listen well to him.."Bird informs flicking her wings. Harpoon huffed, glancing at Azul and Kalim, and snorted. "Good, at least something went right"Harpoon growled.

Trey lowered the knife, his darkened expression vanishing. "Is everyone alright?!"Trey demands touching Livia's cheek where Harpoon's wing had smacked her. "Yes!"Livia beamed. "Trey, we need to talk, NOW!"Robin hissed glaring at him. Kalim watched Trey walk after Robin and Stork, hoping he'd be okay. Trey wasn't normally that scary before, his lectures about being careful and not fighting were scary but not at the level of the Trey Clover scary they all just saw. He didn't even know that Trey had a knife on him, it must've been well hidden or he stole it off of Robin when he stopped her from hurting Jaseem. Just what was Trey hiding and why'd he reveal it now in front of everyone here. "You kids o-"Dart started. A yell of fury came from the next cave over, the group rushing into the cave alarmed. Trey shrugged against the chains, a darkened scowl on his face, as he fought back. "STOP!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!"Dart demands starting forward.

"Everybody stay back! Trey made a contract with a demon!"Robin commands gripping the chains, dragging Trey back. Trey grabbed the chains, snatching them back, sending Stork crashing to the ground. Kalim wrackled his brain until he remembered a page from their species book. Demons lived around the Isle of Woe, and you could make contracts with one but it came at a price. You have a split side to you, one that appears when there's danger, but you're still in control of your mind and body. When did Trey make this contract? Why make it in the first place. "LET HIM GO!!"Bird cried grabbing Robin. Robin tied the chains around the steel pole and released a burst of blue flames from her mouth, melting it all together. "You stay here, until we can remove the contract"Robin snarled. "Trey..."Azul stared stunned as the guardians left. Trey sat down the chains tightly wrapped around him, shackles on his wrists and ankles.

Livia hurried over, Sebek and Azul following her. "You alright?!"Livia asks. Jaseem inspected the melted metal, no doubt thinking of a way to remove it to free their friend. "Sorry guys, this is my fault..."Trey sighed fixing his glasses. "I made a contract with a demon so I can have more power to protect you all." Kalim watched Trey raise his hands, noticing the males hands were visibly trembling. "I felt powerless...I still do, I don't have as much strength to protect all of you from people like Robin, Stork and Harpoon.."Trey sighed letting his hands drop. "I'm sorry...for failing you all as your leader and as your elder brother." Livia and Azul leaned against Trey's sides, Trey struggling to wrap his arms around them but somehow managed to. "But you didn't fail!"Sebek blurted out, looking close to tears. Sebek let out a choking nose, fighting back tears before he covered his face, Jaseem patting his back as the boy silently cried. "Maybe...we should escape, together...find a suitable home?"Kalim suggests.

Everyone stared at Kalim, silence filling the cave. "Run away.."Azul echoes. "Find a place to live?"Livia blinked surprised. "You guys will have to go without me.."Trey comments. "But, we don't even have an escape route and we can't leave you! What if breaking the contract means death!"Jaseem retorts. Trey and Sebek looked at each other then at Azul making Kalim realize those three knew something the rest of them didn't. "We do have an escape plan"Sebek says rubbing his tear streaked face. "WHAT?! For how long!"Jaseem demands looking offended. "Two days, Sebek swam through the river there was a tunnel, he didn't go into it in case his four hours went by in a flash"Trey responds. "He said it's big enough for someone like Kalim or Livia to slip through, so even if he wanted to he couldn't go, but I caught him attempting to." Livia looked at Sebek in mild amusement, the male blushing as he looked away quickly. "What about me, maybe I could squeeze through in my merman form.."Azul offers.

"We can try, but I doubt your tentacles would make it through, no offense..."Sebek says rubbing the back of his neck looking unsure. Azul frowned at him, no doubt offended. "I'll go!"Livia offers. "NO YOU WILL NOT!" The young girl flinched in surprise, all eyes on her ranging from fearful to worried to downright terrified. "Then...I'll go.."Kalim insists. He may be dimwitted and oblivious to things but he'd always remember the topic of conversation..well...until the next topic is brought up then of course he'll forget everything they had been talking about before. "But-"Jaseem says worriedly. "I'll drink one of Azul's water breathing potions, it'll be fine!"Kalim smiled. "Besides, I can swim!"Kalim adds. Sebek stared at him, looking worried about this plan. Jaseem looked down, but Kalim knew he was thinking of alternate ways. Azul and Trey looked equally against this and Livia looked worried about if he'd make it. "Trust me, I'll get us all out"Kalim promised.

"Fine..fine..but you all MUST leave me here"Trey says. "NO!"Sebek gasped looking at him. "You have to, the guardians will be too focused on me and my contract, so you all must go without me!"Trey says. "But...you're our big brother.."Livia says. "I'll come find you guys..so you five take care of each other"Trey promised. "Maybe we can melt the chain with our magic!"Sebek says desperately. "The guardians have a magic sensor, it'll go off, the plan will fail"Trey says as Azul handed Kalim the potion. "Livia! You can breath fire right!"Sebek gasped startling the girl when he grabbed her hands. "Sebek Zigvolt!!" Sebek stopped, Trey now standing up staring him down. "Everyone has already agreed, you and Jaseem are the main fighters now, so you must take care of the others in my absence"Trey scolds. Kalim looked at Sebek, noticing his friends trembling hands. He didn't wanna leave Trey here, none of them did, but this was an order from their brother so they had to follow it without complaints.

Kalim downed the potion and cringed at the sour like taste that coated his tastebuds. "Yuck.."Kalim mutters shaking his head. "You have an hour, go now!"Azul says quickly. "Be careful Kalim!"Jaseem says as the boy stepped into the river. "Don't you dare die!"Livia says hugging the pale haired boy. "I won't, you guys stay safe too"Kalim nodded looking at them all. "Be careful Kalim, if anything happens turn right back around!"Trey orders. "Keep following the path, if it takes you anywhere the tunnel will lead you out!"Azul calls. Kalim gulped at Azul's if statement but he nonetheless nodded and dove under the surface. "Please don't die..."Livia mutters. Kalim swam around, looking curious then spotted the entrance to the tunnel. He kicked his feet, touching the outside of it. Sebek wouldn't have been able to fit through this, he'd have been stuck for a while. Kalim slipped his upper body through, then placed his hands on the wall and pushed. He flinched as he cartwheeled but regained his balance.

The tunnel was dark, too dark for his liking. He didn't think he was gonna be able to find a way out for him and his friends and that they'd be trapped there forever and have to witness Trey possibly dying from the guardians trying to remove the contract. That would be traumatizing for them all, especially for Livia since she was the youngest of everyone and didn't like seeing blood. Kalim placed his hands on the halls around him, leading himself forward. Should he turn back, he didn't know if he should, it felt like an eternity swimming through this dark tunnel. It felt tight and cramped. OUCH! He's fine, he just bumped into the corner of the turning tunnel which he guessed was a warning for him to pay attention to his surroundings better. He perked up, hearing the sounds of waves. Waves meant river and air! He was finally out of that tightly dark tunnel. Kalim surfaced and coughed, grabbing onto a rock and hauling himself up onto it tired from swimming.

He looked up, then yelped as a wave knocked him off the rock. He flailed around, the current dragging him down. A hand grabbed his arm, pulling him to the surface again. The figure pulled him out, Kalim coughing. "Nice job!" He looked up, finding Sebek grinning at him. "Sebek! How did you get through!"Kalim gasped. "I squeezed through.."Sebek says wincing. He lifted his shirt up, cuts on the his sides and stomach. Kalim stared in alarm, worry filling him at the sight. Did Sebek force himself through the hole and into the tunnel because he was worried. Well, that sounds like something Sebek would do, so he didn't know why he was thinking about this. "Kalim, look! Brooms, let's take these and fly back! The others are gonna set up a smoke signal for us!"Sebek grinned grabbing a broom. Kalim grabbed the other broom, the two heading for the cave exit as quickly as they could. Sebek lifted into the air first with him not too far behind, the two veering around and flying back to where their friends were.

Twst x Wings of Fire AU: Baul

Sebek: *Snarls and charges at Red*

Red: *Yelps and launches himself into the air causing the crowd to laugh* Sorry young man, I'm not your opponent, he is!

Red: You all remembered a certain fae who refused to fight a pointless battle! Convinced his enemies to fight back against Queen Cloud, so what did we do your majesty

Queen Clous: Why...we dehydrated, starved and left the poor man baking in the sun for hours on end~

Sebek: *Gasps, looking shocked*

Guard A and B: *Sets a panting fae man down on the sands*

Red: Sebek's opponent! Baul, a former soldier in the fae army, deranged and ready to fight!

Red: Fists up, teeth ready, magic charged! FIGHT!

Baul: *Screams and charges at Sebek*

Sebek: *Leaps over Baul, tucking and rolling behind him landing on his feet*

Baul: *Whips around, attempting to slam Sebek down*

Sebek: *Scowls and blasts flames at the man's stomach causing him to screech*

Baul: *Grabs Sebek's legs snarling as he snatched the male off the ground and onto the air*

Sebek: *Narrows his eyes and wriggles his foot free when he went straight up stomping down on Baul's face*

Kalim: Ouch....

Azul: Sebek is the best fighter, he's gonna have tactics nobody has really thought of...

Sebek: *Pounces on Baul, putting his full weight on the man* I ASK YOU LET HIM LIVE!! YOU KNOW I'LL WIN!

Queen Cloud: *Grins as the crowd started booing Sebek*

Queen Cloud: Looks like the Speakers of Destiny's resident fighter doesn't have the stomach to kill anyone

Rathe: *Frowns at Cloud*

Sebek: *Grabs Baul's hair with a single hand and snaps it to the side into a gruesome angle*

Sebek: *Stands up, looking at the crowd disgusted when they cheered and threw tiny jewels at him*

Kalim: *Stares at Sebek noticing his hands and legs were shaking* Poor Sebek

Azul: Yeah, and this is his first time killing someone as well.....this might haunt him..

WoF x TWST. Yuu, Grim, and the great seven.

Makes the most sense to start with Yuu first, yea?

Yuu: They get to be human still! Yay them! In this AU I wanted scavengers/humans to be extinct. Why? To make Yuu even more outta place. There’s a bit more to them as a character, but I’ll save that for the writing of the AU.

Grim: I played with the idea of making him into some kinda cat-like fantribe. But settled on making him still very cat like but with more dragon like qualities. Also bigger. And I’m still playing with the idea of him having a smaller form closer in stature to him cannon size. (So he can still ride on Yuu and have something unique to him) He was really fun and really hard to figure out, cause I almost made him more wild cat looking, but I didn’t end up liking it.

(I don’t plan on giving the ramshackle ghost their own full fledged refs, or even just head shot/bust refs. Apologies to all.)

and now onto the seven! Who I’ve turned from Disney Villains into WoF villains/antagonists (they are in order of left to right too to bottom)

Queen Scarlet: “The Scarlet queen” I know that an icewing might have been more fitting, with all the rules they have. But! I went for color pallet. I’m also heavily bias. So Scarlet gets to be queen of hearts

Queen Wasp: “The Queen of Tribes” a big reason for picking Wasp over Blister in place of scar is the fact that, well, she did rule over the silkwings for a good 50 years give or take. And I have this head cannon that she’s fair more clever than she’s depicted in the books.

Albatross: “The great seawing animus” I REALLY wanted Ursula’s WoF substitute to be a seawing. And there was NO WAY I was using whirlpool. (If you know you know) also I have him holding the drawing for the summer palace

Blister: “The sister of Brilliance” If this clever villain wasn’t getting to be the Scar stand in, she was going to be the Jafar stand in. (And yes I drew her holding the eye of onyx. If you know. You know.)

Chameleon: “The beautiful shapeshifter” okay. Scarlet would have gotten to be the Evil queen stand in if I wasn’t dead set on making her the stand in for the queen of hearts. So I had to pick the next best character. That being Chameleon. I don’t have any big reason for him being the Evil Queen besides the fact he has those scraps of scroll to turn into a few other tribes (I can’t remember if there were more than the Icewing, Nightwing and skywing. Because I wanna say he had four tribes he turned into) and also I have him holding Darkstalker’s scroll

Queen Diamond: “The queen of Ice” another one who I just kinda picked the “oh ugh-this’ll do”. I mostly picked her cause of the spell she cast on foeslayer to keep her trapped. So I guess she gets to be the Hades stand in.

Darkstalker: “The Darkstalker” that title is subject to change. But since he already had one in the books may as well use it! Anyway, it only made since to make the most clever and powerful Wings of Fire villain be the Maleficent stand in. Drew him when he escaped from under the mountain because that pose felt like the most powerful one for him. (Although like scarlet I’m very bias)

welp that’s the WoF seven (shockingly hard to pick who would be who. Besides Darkstalker he was easy)

Size chart time!

The dragon examples are Skywings, and I’m of the belief that mudwings and nightwings are larger than skywings but I picked skywings to be the chart comparisons because not meany characters will be much taller or shorter than an average adult skywing. Well, besides the staff but that’s besides the point.

it also has Grim and Yuu because I feel it’s very important to know how tall these two are. (And if I give them exact measurements my brain won’t remember) I was also tempted to add in some kinda animal in here because we’re going largely with mega fauna and flora. But it made the chart crowded. But know I intend for even chickens to be larger than Yuu. (Or about the same hight not sure yet)

Tribes I picked for them and why under the cut ✨

Let’s start with everyone’s favorite neglectful headmage

Crowley: Nightwing! Mostly for color ngl. He doesn’t get any cool Nightwing powers (mind reading or future sight) he doesn’t DESERVE them.

Vargas: Mud/Sky hybrid! Partly for color but also because they’re the two most physically strong tribes, and I felt that fit Vargas very well.

Crewel: Hive/silk hybrid! Another one mostly for color, cause I wanted a semi pepper moth look, well also not going the easy rout of making him either a rainwing or Night/ice hybrid. If Silkwings could have black in their color pallets naturally he’d be pure silk, but alas. Although I do love the hivewing face for him. I think it fits. (Also added in him having like- moth floof because yes!)

Sam: Mudwing!!! Nearly made him a rainwing or a rain/mud. BUUUTTT because mudwings are based off crocs/gators (can’t remember which I think croc but oh well) it felt like pure Mud fit him just a bit better. If that makes sense? And I KNOW mudwings don’t have purple in their color pallets, but we can all pretend it’s paint or tattoos or something.

Trein: Icewing! I had two reason for this, one being he has a resting grumpy face, because I think the overall sharper design of icewings fit that well, and two color pallet yet again.

Lucius Trein’s cat: I made him a snowy leopard with Melanism (opposite of albinism) or I at least tried to make it look like that.

the prologue’s prologue. (Aka what Yuu’s doing before getting yoinked)

Ah minor content warning! Very mild depiction of violence (dragon getting stabbed no blood or anything and it’s not described in detail, but just gonna warn you that it’s there)

     The teen ran. Vaulting over a wall, stumbling a bit they rolled to ground themself again. They jumped, pulling themselves up over a wall, and landed on their feet with a thump! 

     “Done!” They called out between pants, before brushing some pink hair out of their face.

     “Two minutes exactly! That’s your best time yet, Yuu!” A tall blond called to them with a smile, waving a stopwatch above his head.

     Yuu’s face contorted into a wary lopsided smile, “I just- wish it was a little faster. You know?”

     “And how do you expect to go faster?” The blond frowned, letting his arm drop.

     They bit the inside of their cheek, “Well, my wall jumping might have been a little sloppy, and I had to catch myself with a roll at one point. Maybe I should practice it a little more-“

     “OR,” the blond interrupted, “you could take a break. You’ve been doing the same parkour- thing, for hours! Aren’t you tired? Or board?” He poked Yuu between the eyes, “besides, you just got back from caving. You need a BRAKE!”

     “Jasper!” Yuu huffed, smacking away their friend’s hand, “one, don’t do that. And two, I’m fine!” They were, at least mostly fine. Yuu would be lying if they said they weren’t at least a little sore. 

     He just shook his head and sighed. “Whatever, Yuu. I’m going to go get something to drink at the fast food joint down the road, will you at least come with me and get water?”

     Yuu smirked, “You wound me my friend, I always have plenty of water!” Proudly they walked over to a (rather plain) black backpack and pulled out a large water bottle. And to emphasize their point, the teen proceeded to pour some water on top of their head. “EEP! That’s still cold!”

     “Pfff, suffer,” Jasper snarked, earning a glare from Yuu. “Well, I’m going to get water and find a bite probably. Watching you made me hungry, too”.

     “Yea, yea. Be gone with yee already! Leave the stopwatch though, I'd like to keep using it,” The pink haired teen demanded.

     “Yea, no. Maybe it’ll force you to take a break,” with that Jasper stuffed the device into his pocket and took off.

     “Hey! Common no fair!” Yuu yelled after him, although they made no move to run after. The longer they just stood around the more the aching soreness, possibly due to overworking their body with little to no brakes, caused. They sighed, running a hand through their now cold and wet hair. Gold-silver eyes wandered across the street, opposite to where Jasper had run off.

     A gas station sat just across the road. They bit the inside of their cheek again. It wouldn’t kill them to take a breather and maybe eat something too. Besides, Jasper would be gone for at least an hour. Likely in hopes Yuu would take a break with their now frustrating lack of a stopwatch. Especially with their unwillingness to use their phone and risk breaking the damn thing. They rubbed at their face, not wanting to move. But the idea of nabbing a candy bar was slowly winning.

     Before they knew it they found themselves crossing the road. Their mind too preoccupied by debating between what candy bar they should get, to notice the galloping of hooves getting closer, or the ground shaking as the sound grew louder. Up until a loud winny finally made them look over. Only to see black carriage pulled by black horses, both of which completely dwarfed Yuu with their size, barreling towards them. 

     For a moment, a very terrifying moment at that, the teen’s legs would. Not. Move. As they watched the impossibly sized horses pulling an equally impossibly sized carriage get ever closer, and it didn’t seem intent on stopping. Finally, however, flight or fight kicked them into motion as they regained motor control and dived towards the sidewalk. Yuu’s frantic movements causing them to land roughly on their side before passing out.

     It was dark. Hell, Yuu would argue that it was darker than dark, if that was possible. They couldn’t see their own hand in front of their face. The teen sat up, or attempted to. Yuu felt like they’d been suspended in midair, weightless and helpless. The stamping of hooves lightly echoed around them. And for a moment they wondered if they’d died.

     “Beware the tainted hearts. Beware the darkened stones,” the sound of someone’s voice echoed, making Yuu look around frantically. Nearly missing the moment the darkness faded to a colorless rose garden, then a savanna, then to under the sea, to a desert, to a castle, to somewhere underground, and lastly to thorns covering something. 

     “Time is short, his powers unknown,” it continued, as the thorns faded, instead replaced by the silhouette of some large cat-like thing. Or, at least it looked cat-like to Yuu, besides what maybe looked like a fire mane and some other odd feature they couldn’t quite pinpoint with it being a shadow and all. Especially as the image flickered as if it was being projected.

     “They’re coming to take the beast, they’re coming to take the land”. Ropes pined the creature down, playing slowly like a slideshow. Before the scene changed to a forest fire, with something that resembled a castle burning further back.

     “Tribes will fall to bloodied steel,” the image flickered, morphing into something that resembled something from medieval times. A dragon silhouette, the beast reared up in pain, with a sword piercing its neck. Yuu’s body moved on its own as they took a step forward and reached out-

     “Unless the tamer takes their hand-“ they said alongside the voice. The images faded, darkness consumed them again, as gravity pulled them down. And Yuu collapsed.
