we're doing construction on my room, right? because my mom insisted on it. the contractor told us it would take him THREE days. it has been THREE weeks. it'll be another WEEK before they can finish 100%.

i am so mad. i haven't been sleeping well. all my stuff is everywhere. i feel like i'm couch surfing again and i hate it.

i also did my taxes and i owe $400 to the state. also opened up a medical bill for $600. today is just fucking awful.

i want contractor!Jensen to swoop in and fix everything, including my bills.

sigh. idk how i'm going to get the money to cover everything. at least i can do a payment plan for the $600. i think.

for now, i might just sleep in the guest bedroom and deal with the shitty mattress in there instead of spending another night listening to my mom snore.

UGH.

EDIT: The $600 is from last year, which I paid in full. I read it as 2024. It's 2023. Thank god.

Just had to share this vintage advertising gem. Impressive.

This is one where I am honestly a tad conflicted. On one hand, we have the mid-century savory ingredient Jello mold disasters, many of which would be greatly improved by using some type of savory aspic base to avoid the horrible fruity sugary flavor clash. I have repeatedly though that it might actually make some of these concoctions vaguely edible!

On the other, though, there is...this whole mess of condescending wtfery.
