Taking a Zumba class for the first time is like willingly subjecting yourself to an hour of being a massive, embarrassing fool.
You are too tall and gangly and all leg and you cannot move with the flow. Your rigid limbs squiggle around in the closest approximation of choreography you can do.
Everyone else knows the dance moves except you because they’ve all been regulars for months and even years. And then you, illiterate slacker, bumble in with your clown shoes and faded yoga pants while everyone else is in cute little lululemon outfits.
You, the dance version of frankenstein’s creature, exhibit a primitive form of ball change shuffle, hands instinctively going into a T-Rex curled claw pose.
Everyone shimmies and moves their hips sexily, so you attempt the moves too, merely managing an ominous and unnerving tilt, as though the Tower of Pisa has decided to lean the other way, actually.
Everyone is smiling during class except you, you lugubrious weeping willow. Unlike these swans of grace and salsa in class with you, you are a lumbering abomination.
You, like the goldendoodle puppy you met on your way in, have zero coordination and need to be taught things before doing them, and what you have been taught. Is not to come back.

Dylematy z dupy.
W czwartek na sztangach chyba za mocno sobie dojebałam. Ogólnie trening wszedł jak złoto! Instruktor z zamiłowaniem do agresywniejszej muzyki, więc przy Prodigy podciąganie szło zajebiście! Coś tam czułam, że ramię trochę jakby się buntuje, ale pomyślałam, że zaraz się kawałek skończy i odpocznę. Tyle, że kawałek był długi XD oczywiście, ze dałam radę do końca, bo dekiel że mnie i na sztangach umiaru nie znam ...
Obecnie boli mnie trochę to ramię oraz te miejsca bezpośrednio nad zgięciem łokci po wewnętrznej i zewnętrznej stronie. Chyba zakwasy, chociaż to chyba mało prawdopodobne, bo regularnie ćwiczę akurat że sztangami .
Z obawy przed kontuzją zapisałam się na jakąś nudną do porzygu zumbę. W sensie mnie akurat zumba nudzi. Nie ma tej adrenaliny, wewnętrznej walki ze swoimi słabościami i leniem. Takie tam machanie tyłkiem. I akurat przy odchudzaniu zumba jest wręcz idealna, ale mnie tak kurwa nudzi :$ wiem bo że dwa lata temu po sztangach zostawałam jeszcze na zumbę.
I teraz nie wiem czy dobrze robię...

"How I started doing Zumba"
It was an ordinary day when I suddenly decided that my life needed a new dose of adventure 🤭The turning point came when I accidentally stumbled upon a video of African aboriginal dances (and, of course, a mirror in the hallway😅).
That's how I got into Zumba classes💥.
As I understood, it's a mix of Latin American dances and fitness.
The first class was like a real African disco in my imagination. I tried to repeat the movements, but I felt like I was trying to tame a raging elephant����. My left leg went to the right, my right leg to the left, as if it were part of a dance ritual.🙈😉
A few classes passed, and I realized that Zumba is not only about dancing, but also an opportunity to throw out all the accumulated stress.
I've become an expert in how to move to music and smile, despite the fact that you're like a penguin 🐧 at a disco💃
That's definitely "dance with elements of unpredictability." And most importantly, no one will judge!

One of my favorite things about going to Saturday morning zumba class in my neighborhood is that the instructor incorporates 15 minutes of belly dancing in the circuit. So it's an intense workout and a dance lesson for the price of one!😁
