Kithood

Flamepaw was given birth to by Sparkstorm, along with Finchkit, and Flickerkit. Though, Flickerkit was stillborn, and died shortly after his birth, but not before getting to meet his dying mother, Larksong. Because Larksong died right after he was born, he never got to meet his other parent.

This caused Sparkstorm, his other mother, to fall into a horrible state of depression, not bothering to care for her last two kits. Because of this, he was instead nursed by another nurser, Sorrelstripe, who had her kits coming soon. He and Finchkit were spoiled by the caretakers and Sorrelstripe when he was very young, but then when he was seven days old, ready to open his eyes, Sparkstorm decided to take care of her kittens.

When he grew around one moon old, the caretakers would tell him stories of Firestar. Fernsong told him stories of the mythological clans, while Daisy told him stories about legends that had spread around the twolegplace she had visited once.

They both then told him stories of Firestar, and how he was a legend and a hero to all the clans. Flamekit admired Firestar, his eyes shone everytime they spoke highly of him.

He thought; maybe one day, he could be like Firestar, too. When he asks Sparkstorm if he was named after the legendary warrior, a few heartbeats of silence echo around the nursery for a moment... until she finally answers;

"...No, I didn't name you after Firestar," xe told him. "It wasn't even my idea to name you Flamekit. Larksong thought that if we ever had a tom, we could name him Flamekit. I don't know the meaning behind your name... Only Larksong does."

Flamekit was disappointed. He felt sad that he wasn't actually named after Firestar, it also just... Didn't make sense to him. Everyone else thought he was named after Firestar, so why wasn't he actually named after him?

Flamekit pushed those thoughts away. He thought that Larksong must have named him after Firestar, that's why she chose his name as Flamekit!

For once he felt important. He believed, or he hoped, he was named after the legendary Firestar...

Apprenticeship

When he was later made into an apprentice during the imposter's reign, having Berrynose as his mentor, who had later died tragically in battle, so Lilyheart replaced him. He and Finchpaw both trained hard to become a warrior, but every time, Finchpaw would always win. She'd hunt better than him, she'd fight better than him, she even climbed better than him.

He felt jealous, how was he supposed to be the second-coming of Firestar when he lost everything to his littermate? He grew resentful of his siblings' success, and she was constantly praised by senior warriors, Myrtlepaw and Baypaw, and the elders.

But, something distracted him from his hatred, which was the reign of the imposter. He grew horrified once he found his mother, covered with blood and scratches, limping back to camp, and then flopping helplessly down.

He'd heard from some warriors that Bramblestar was being unfair, but he didn't listen to them, even after all of that. He could never believe Bramblestar would do such a thing to his mother, he just couldn't!

And then, his mother confronted Bramblestar, deciding to leave ThunderClan. He felt betrayed, she was abandoning her own clan! Firestar wouldn't want this! Worst of all, his sister was coming with her.

Sparkstorm turned to look at Flamepaw, and asked him if he'd like to join her. He declines, Firestar wouldn't want this.

Timeskip, after the events of ALitM, but before River, Flamepaw was finally good at something; hunting! Cats finally praised him for his catches, and he was starting to earn the respect from the senior warriors!

Though, he started to get a little cocky about the fact he was named after, and that he had the hunting skills of Firestar. And by a little cocky, that meant he was very cocky; constantly reminding Finchpaw, Myrtlepaw, and Baypaw of that fact, and when he was starting to grow a slight hint of dark orange, he took it as a sign... He was the second-coming of Firestar.

Aphmau was brought along earlier than canon. This had effects such as her being a literal child(like she’s a infant at beginning of au) and Shad is the one to find her.

Shad goes “This is a baby. My baby. I need to protect my baby” and adopts her on the spot(she is infact Irene’s daughter in a sense and somehow has his genetics making him her bio dad-)

Reason she’s found? A shadow knight named Terrie. o7 Terrie you would of loved Deadpool and Wolverine.

Anyways Terrie is Aphmaus middle name in the au.

Shad spends years traveling and this results in Aph growing up knowing many of the characters as children. The Romeave brothers fate is much different due to growing up as close friends with Aphmau and Shad being close friends eventually with their parents. Garroth treats Aph as his little sister. Zane and Aph drag Vylad to tea parties. Aph also knows Laurence as a kid, both drag Candenza to cause chaos.

The result of Aph growing up traveling for first few years of her life is a knowledge of the different languages in that world. She eventually is raised in phoenix drop and Shad become lord of Phoenix Drop, the travels eventually become more diplomatic and she only joins when its travels to Okasis or Meteli.

She’s the reason Garroth and Laurence meet. THEY ARE GAY YOUR HONOR—

Aaron and Aph had a small fling and ultimately decided to be friends as they love each other but now know it’s more like siblings friends or cousins. Aph is Aaron’s sons god mother.

ANYWAYS ONTO SHAD AND HIS SHIT

Morherfucker is a girl dad. He will do anything and I mean ANYTHING for his daughter

Aphmau asks to do his nails? He sits still and lets her do them and also provides a shit ton of nail polishes and nail stuff

Boy troubles? Movies and ice cream(and shad sending shadow knights to beat the guys ass)

He has no overworld home and refuses to bring his new daughter to the nether(the shadow knights adore her and see her as a niece) due to the heat along with lava and fire. They eventually settle in Phoenix Drop and Shad becomes the lord instead of aph

Shads a good guy here. Irene’s a villain. But still follow their roles we just see a different perspective.

I've been trying so hard to fix and rewrite all the character bios... Aaron MCD is the only one of the major characters that's nearly at full completion (missing his bio from s3 rn). that's only because he had like a tiny handful of lore drops and didn't talk much. Currently in the middle of working on Aphmau MCD's page. completing her bio/summary may be a nightmare

Whenever I fix all the character bios I'm gonna start adding a proper "featured articles" widget so it's more fun to browse !!! but thatll be a long way from now since they're massive

RP PET PEEVES?: biggest pet peeve is BIG assumptions about my characters that clearly show they haven’t read important details on my bio page. I understand not reading my entire bios, some are long, but I have bullet points of things I feel are need to know. (Obvi doesn’t apply when I don’t have things done on the bio page but idk idk, I can just tell when someone is assuming/hasn’t looked at my blog at all) Other things that bother me? drama, ooc posts that are really frequent non-rp related to the point of I can’t tell it’s a rp blog and constantly negative, guilt tripping, pushing plots that I’m not into

EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS?: this is a big read on myself, but y'all are my besties so I'll admit that in high school I did Glee roleplay on facebook, so technically I've been doing rp for about 15 years. I got on tumblr rp shortly thereafter, I'd say. my first rp blog on here was Arthur Pendragon and I still write him from time to time. :') This blog is also about 7 years old and I’ve been writing some of these characters for that long!

FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT?: all three! I love a good balance of fluff and angst. my muses deserve to be happy, but I also love delving into their issues. smut probably comes in last, because (aside from a few of my muses who are slutssss), it has to be developed a little bit and even so, I don't like to only have smut on here.

PLOTS OR MEMES?: Both. I love memes for both fun and for things getting in depth. Sometimes things do go more easily with a little discussion, and anyone who has tried to plot with me probably knows I'm not great at it ... lol. but I do try, because clarification makes things easier, especially with deeper subjects and ships.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES?: I get carried away so easily and I do tend to fill in extra background thoughts and all that. Not opposed to any length as long as there is something to go off of.

TIME TO WRITE?: first thing in the morning, after getting ready for work/morning routine and having some coffee, I write for about an hour and lemme tell you, it's magical. In stark contrast to that, as soon as the sun goes down, if I concentrate for like an hour, gold! I also love to write when it's rainy/gloomy, and I have a little coffee treat.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: I tend to write characters that I relate to in some way most of the time. Some are very similar, some I don’t think there’s much but internal stuff. you already mentioned it but jack turning into a smoke creature post-finale. because like, yeah, his death is very fucking similar to what happened to turn smokey into... smokey

david shephard being david austen-littleton when he was alive. the theory that when kate and jack banged before coming back to the island, they conceived a baby. they had a son which kate and claire then raise. along with aaron (making aaron and david brother-cousins!). the limbo world just repurposed david's parentage for the sake of symbolism and stuff, since jack and juliet were a couple in that world. okay so, in limboverse, i believe jack and juliet were made a couple, who then divorced, because in real life they were divorcees but it was like, bad soul crushing divorces. in limbo world, the universe saw fit to be like "what if divorced but amicably? as a treat?" so yeah. and david was given to them to fit that narrative. that and it came across like juliet longed to be a mother in real life but it never happened. so yeah, the universe did some shuffling of david for emotional reasons. but in real life, kate was his bio mom. what helps this is that david is a mini-jack so either one of them could be mama kjhfsjhk. also also! the amount of time between jack and kate banging and the finale? two weeks. thats not enough time to even notice a missed period yet let alone know you're pregnant. so she's in for a surprise when she gets home. i love this because it's like beautiful and angsty. oh, as a side note, evie lilly was actually pregnant in season 6 so her noticeable bloating/pudging up is only helping me!

on this note, the theory that juliet was pregnant when she died. i know it's fucked up but it makes sense. i'm basing this on that one scene where bernard offers her tea with a knowing look on his face and juliet has her hand on her stomach. listen, in media language, a woman resting her hand on her tummy = pregnant

daniel was the one who programmed the looking glass code to be good vibrations. they said a musician did it and he was in dharma. it's not that deep, it's a natural leap to make

i've very fond of the idea that richard is daniel's real biological dad. i have done an essay on this, heres a link. this could never be the case in-universe or at least i wouldn't want it to be because jeremy davies is hella white. buuut in the version of lost in my head? i hold fast to it like it's a fact

Screenwriting Course Stuff

During the Covid lock-down, I took a screenwriting course for ‘British TV,’ with the goal of learning the ins and outs of British productions.

September begins my official ‘final semester,’ and I chose to go out with a limited anthology series. Mid-August is when we’re supposed to give our instructor the basics on what we’re writing, and I managed to come up with the last of my episodic plots. (I shared one here a couple days ago.)

If she approves this project, I’ll spend September onward, writing it.

It doesn’t have a name yet, but it’s a 7-episode serial exploring men in love at the end of the world. I’d like the same two actors to portray the lovers throughout the episodes – with guests stars filling in the characters.

To Have and to Hold: Colonial physician Kieran acclimates to the isolation of his permanent Antarctica duty station with oat, no-foam lattes, and menslove comics until a handsome glaciologist knocks on his door with an intriguing offer.   

From This Day Forward: Imperial pilot Luk flies the Rarog, a bio-technic fighter whose ‘navigator’ is an unseen human sealed within a phasic interface sphere. When Luk crashes, he liberates his navigator, exposing the altered man to existence outside his operable paradigm.

dorian grew up spending his time between family in both england and scotland. the son of separated parents who both had very different ideas on how to raise their son. dorian's father was involved in politics in england and wanted his son to follow that path. however, dorian's mother was quite the opposite. a more free spirit that encouraged dorian to follow his heart rather than have to make something of a legacy.

in a way, they both kind of won. if only because dorian, more than anything, just wanted to make his family proud of him. he wanted to please them all. which made for a bit of an overachiever type of personality.

dorian went on to become a blacksmith, setting up shop in scotland, eventually coming to own and run his own shop called the morgul forge. he only gets to run the place a couple of years before the apocalypse hits and changes everything.

he sets up a safe space within the space of his shop, mostly because he not only makes weapons, but could successfully wield them too, so was able to defend his little patch.

eventually, the leader of what comes to the the ice court (a prison taken over by a gang) reaches out to dorian and they build a tentative alliance. mostly with dorian providing weapons and training for those within. but it works in both ways, because it means he gets knowledge on the group and the building. throughout the apocalypse, dorian importantly has an alliance with thea kincaid. the two were childhood friends/rivals/all that complicated shit. but in all honesty, dorian has always cared deeply for her. yes, it took the world damn near ending for him to realise how intense those feelings were. and a bit longer to admit them. but it's fine, he got there eventually. don't look at them, they're a bit useless ok?

alongside thea, dorian works with the crows from then on, even going so far as to follow them stateside when they leave. and look, they stole a whole ass boat okay so he was able to take a LOT of stuff from his shop with them.

he's even set up the forge again in the commonwealth, making weapons and helping to train people.

MCD Post-apocalyptic AU Idea

Hi I'm actually posting on here lol but anyways I'm bored rn and feel like ranting about an MCD AU idea I have cuz I don't have anybody to talk about MCD stuff with 💔 Be prepared for this post to be a bit lengthy as when I have an idea I wanna talk about, I'll just keep going on and on and nothing will stop me! So feel free to skip this if you don't like reading long stuff lol. Anywho, you can read my silly little thoughts about my silly little AU under the cut!

Anyways, my AU idea I had basically takes place in a modern day MCD (no not like Mystreet just strictly having the MCD characters in a modern day era). And this world is normal at first but one day an apocalypse pretty much happened as somehow several different types of portals opened, releasing all sorts of deadly creatures that reeked havoc on the population. This apocalypse was also pretty much started by both Shad and Irene but that can be a separate post for later as I put far too much detail into that lmao. However, Irene and Shad lie to their respective followers/supporters that they had nothing to do with this tragedy and put the blame on the other for it happening.

I chose Dante to be the main character of this AU because goddammit my boy deserves more love and if no one else will do it then I sure will. Anyways, Dante was 2 years old when the apocalypse happened so the poor kid just grew up in such a harsh environment. He never knew what it was like to not have to hide from vicious creatures and constantly scavenge for food. He also never knew his dad as his father, Donny (not canon name btw just something I personally use) died early on in the apocalypse in an attempt to save his family. Meaning that Maria was left to take care of 14 year old Gene and 2 year old Dante by herself during a disastrous apocalypse. But luckily... there was someone out there that was willing to take the poor woman in and help her out.

And this where I'll get into Shad and Irene's whole deal because I mean they're pretty important here. The Divine Warriors still exist in this world and are also still kind of treated like religious figures. However, I should make it clear that all of them are actually immortal gods instead of just technically being humans that hold a relic or whatever canon stated cuz I lowkey kinda forget some of the details of that. I should also make it clear that Irene and Aphmau are NOT the same person here. I decided to make Aphmau the demigod daughter of Irene cuz I thought that would work better with the AU. Aaron is also the demigod son of Shad because of their familial relationship in canon MCD. The Ro'Meaves are still descendants of Esmund but just like in canon their familial relation is more distant compared to Aaron and Aphmau's. And as for Travis and Enki... well they're related too but I can get more into that later.

Regardless, Shad and Irene seem to be the only Divine Warriors that are still around as the others have miraculously vanished for some reason. So most people nowadays only really acknowledge and worship Shad and Irene. Because of that when the apocalypse broke out, Shad and Irene formed their own respective factions that were compromised of their devoted followers. But these two would also go out of their way to save people that hadn't joined either faction and basically encourage said people to join them. The people would do this too as they felt as though they should be grateful that one of the Divine Warriors saved their life. Shad had pretty much done this with Maria so her and her boys became part of his faction and also started to worship him.

So Dante grew up in an environment where he was taught that Shad was a great man and would be the one to save everyone from this apocalypse. He was also taught that Irene and her faction were the enemy, that Irene was the sole cause of their world being destroyed. And Dante also viewed Shad as a father figure due to the fact that his bio dad died when he was too young to even remember him. Shad even comforted Dante after Maria unfortunately died when Dante was 9. Dante had always admired Shad and that admiration only grew after Shad made Gene his right hand man and one of the generals of Shad's army. Dante truly looked up to both his big brother and his father figure. He wanted to be just as great as them.

But then the main story begins and Dante's life does a complete turnaround. In the main story, Dante is now 12 while Gene is 24 and their life is just how it was before. Nothing strange. Nothing unusual. Gene would go about his duties as general, you know like go over battle strategies with the other generals such as Aaron. And when he had the time, he would check up on his little bro who was hanging out with the other child faction members. Dante would just stay in the designated area for the children until Gene was off duty and then the two brothers would eat dinner together, possibly do something fun too before they had to go to bed. This was their normal life.

However, Shad's lair gets attacked suddenly by Irene's army and everything starts going to shit. The civilians of the faction are panicking and screaming as they thoroughly believe that Irene has come to kill them all (she isn't but they don't know that due to Shad's influence). Gene goes into a panic too as he worries about Dante's safety. So he goes to find his little brother, completely ignoring Aaron's calls for him to come back. Gene makes it to the child area and thankfully finds Dante safe and sound. He then takes Dante and tries to rush and find a way out of the lair. For awhile they aren't seen by any of Irene's soldiers but it doesn't stay that way forever. As they round a corner, they hear the voices of two unknown men which definitely puts them on edge.

Gene tells Dante to stay where he is while Gene goes to investigate what's up ahead. Dante listens to his big bro, albeit hesitantly and watches as Gene slowly makes his way toward the voices. The voices belong to none other than Garroth and Laurance who quickly notice Gene's presence. The three get into a shouting match until weapons are pulled out and a scuffle occurs. This goes on for a bit until Laurance ends up landing a lethal attack on Gene, getting him right in the heart. Gene falls to the ground and Dante, who was watching the entire time, rushes to his brother's side not even caring that he would be caught by Irene's men. Garroth and Laurance are in shock as they weren't expecting this to happen.

With tears pouring down his face, Dante tries to save his big bro by pressing down on Gene's wound. He's desperate to do anything, something as he can't lose Gene too. Gene is the only family he has left after all. But Gene knows there's nothing to be done, he knows he's going to die soon. So with shaking hands, Gene takes off the skull necklace he always wore and hands it to Dante, telling his little bro that he loves him and to be strong for him. Gene takes his last breath, Dante sobs and Laurance feels nausea because he just killed a young boy's older brother right in front of him. Unsure of what to do next, Garroth and Laurance follow Irene's orders of taking any civilians with them so they could be "much safer" at Irene's lair. So they grab Dante who kicks and screams as he doesn't want to be separated from his brother. He especially doesn't want to go with the men that killed his brother.

But being only 12 years old, Dante couldn't really fight back against Garroth and Laurance so he was ultimately taken back to Irene's lair. At the lair, Dante was incredibly stubborn and refused to talk to anyone, didn't want to eat any food that was given to him, didn't want anything to do with the people that he was taught were the enemy. Aphmau would try to get through to him but Dante just ended up yelling at Aphmau that she and her people were monsters that took everything from him. Aphmau silently walks away with Dante's words echoing in her mind. Dante didn't want to be there anymore, he just wanted to be with his brother again. He wanted his old life back. So one day he does something no one expects, he runs away from Irene's lair. The kid has no idea where he's supposed to go now but he just keeps running until he knows that he's far away from Irene's domain.

He's in an alleyway when he hears a strange noise. He turns around and sees some type of creature. A deadly one with a raging hunger in its eyes, eyes that are looking right at Dante. The boy tries slowly walking backwards but ends up tripping and falling on the ground. The creature takes this as its opportunity to strike or it would have but its head gets instantly chopped off in what feels like a split second. Once the adrenaline wore off, Dante realized that there was a man that stood in front of him, holding a large ax and breathing heavily. The man turns around, looking at Dante before walking closer to the boy and outstretching a hand for him to take. Dante did so a little hesitantly, thanked the man and asked him who he was.

The man introduces himself as Zane and begins to scold/ask Dante why the hell he was out there by himself without any sort of adult by his side. Dante hesitates for a second, tears up a little and explains that his older brother had just been killed so he was now left without any family and had no idea where to go or what to do now. Zane softens a little after hearing that and proceeds to offer Dante to come with him to his hideout with his other friends so he can at least have a proper bed to sleep on for the night. Dante at first questions if he's part of Shad or Irene's faction but Zane scoffs at that and says that he and his group aren't part of either faction. They are their own group that gets referred to as The Outcasts by Shad and Irene. Dante finds it odd as he's never heard of The Outcasts before but ultimately decides to go with Zane as he does have no idea where to go now.

When Dante gets to the hideout of The Outcasts, he meets these other friends that Zane was talking about. These people being Janus, Ivy, Lillian, Michi, Travis and Vylad. Dante isn't sure what to think of them at first, he kind of finds some of them to be scary. But soon enough, Dante would learn through them that you can't always judge someone's personality by how they look. He also learns that what he was taught may not be as true as he originally thought. Because then he finally learns how exactly the world became what it is and has to accept the fact that he was possibly lied to his entire life.

Anyways, I think I will end it there for now because I have so much I could keep going on and on about but I don't want to make this too long, you know? But because I care this AU very much I'll most definitely talk about this in the future.

hey! so i’m a long time harry potter fan, but kind of new to the fandom on here. i know what the marauders are ofc, but kind of confused on the way everyone writes for them, and stuff. could you kind of just give me a brief description of what all that is about? :) thx!!

so because we don't have a lot of canon information on the marauders, a lot has stemmed from their most basic stereotypes. James is often characterized as a cocky jock, sirius as the mysterious badboy, and remus as the shy bookworm. I think that these are all valid characterizations of each of them, but I do love it when people go beyond that!

A large portion of characterization also comes from a fic on AO3, All the Young Dudes. Although this fic is specifically character/character, and not x reader, there's a lot of overlap in its readers with writers on here! it's 500K+ words, so I don't blame you if you don't want to try reading it, however, it's so widely known for a reason, it really is a fantastic fic, and something that people sort of adopted as canon. I will say that Remus in this fic is particularly overlapping with Sirius's stereotypical character, he's less of a shy nerd and more outgoing/sought after/badass. You definitely see this in other fics, he's either the nerdy bookworm or the envy of the school! One of the lines from this fic that you’ll see most often on here is, “Anything for our Moony,” I always see that in people’s headers or bios, so if you see that, just know that that’s where it’s from!

Everyone takes their own artistic liberties with these characters, of course, and as frustrating as the lack of canon info we have on them is, it's so wonderful to see other people's characterizations of them, so it's almost a blessing that jkr didn't touch them!

The set fancast for the marauders (excluding peter because a lot of people don't talk about him on here! there's more positive peter info in ATYD, but he's not always given the same graces here.) were from like,, 2014? i think? and they're just kind of widely accepted but i will state that these are all white actors and I've seen a lot of headcanons and new fancasts with more diverse casts! (A lot of people headcanon that James is South Asian, for example.) However, none of them are as widely spread, so this is the most concrete idea most of us have got of them.

Andrew Garfield is often portrayed as a young Remus Lupin

Ben Barnes is often portrayed as a young Sirius Black

Timothee Chalamet is often portrayed as a young Regulus Black

Specifically Ben and Andrew have spoken about knowing that they're fancast as Sirius and Remus, and there's a few clips of them being like dude !! i'm not sirius black !! gary oldman was !! or andrew being like no i'm,, not the werewolf,, that's not me,,, but they are really good sports about it :D

There aren't often fics with other characters from this era, of course there are some but definitely exponentially less than James, Remus, Sirius, or Regulus.

“Tracking, sniping, combat, tactical driving, and wilderness survival...” rattles off the description of luke on the tot official website. he proves a bunch of these skills in game: he shows off his tracking and sniping skills in SR Timely Rescue, he shows off his combat skills in episode 2 of his character story, he shows off his general physical prowess in SR Moment of Danger when he scaled that rock climbing wall in 9 seconds, good god, we GET IT, LUKE!!! YOURE RIPPED!!!---on that note though, i do want to see him show off the tactical driving and wilderness survival, id get a real kick out of seeing luke go full on Baby Driver dir. Edgar Wright and then Bear Grylls-ing it up in the woods. but i digress---back on topic, he additionally has shown a proficiency in making and tinkering with gadgets: made an audio transmitter for mc in SSR Alluring Gaze, made a lipstick tranquilizer gun for mc in main story 5.1, and has these cool futuristic smart glasses as a card level up item which was described to be modded by luke himself, among many other passing instances he mentions making gadgets. i guessssss the tinkering thing makes sense, given his background in bio-engineering. but just to top it all off, hes also a hackerman (main story 5.1). because it’s go big or go home with this dude.

can you imagine being like, a newbie low level NSB employee hearing about the man the myth the legend, Raven. like, youve never met him, but his reputation is Off The Walls.

you head on over to tech/equipment dept and u look over this cool doodad like “who made this gadget? it’s...insanely good, what the hell.”

“oh, raven made that,” a resigned techie says

“...isnt raven an investigator? like, an agent? a really scary good one, at that?”

“yeah but he can make stuff too. drives us up the fucking wall, whenever he mods the stuff we make into something better. asshole...”

“yikes.”

so you go on with your day and bump into some people from the financial and technology crimes section, raven’s assigned section, and lo and behold, theyre complaining about him too

“i respect the guy, of course, but his thing is to be on the field. does he really have to one up us by showing off he’s better at us at hacking as well???”

and youre like. what. why is this dude good at so many things. 

and then those people keep on talking.

“a bit inappropriate to complain about him right now, he nearly died a few days ago.” (in reference to flashback in luke chara story ep2 last bit)

“what!”

“yeah raven’s in the hospital, after his last mission. got hit by that gas, you know the one. his partner, aaron, said he nearly didnt make it.”

“im glad hes alive, but how the fuck did he survive??? that toxic gas kills literally anybody that inhales it.”

“i heard aaron say that he managed to stay alive through sheer force of will.”

you scuttle away, absolutely terrified of raven now. 

and then maybe like a month later you see a crowd of people gathered by the window, looking down at the courtyard below

“whats going on?” you ask

“raven’s getting chased by a goose.”

“what.” and you look down and yep. that sure is a dude getting chased by a goose. 

a dude who is raven, the terrifyingly hypercompetent investigator, the man who shows off in fields he doesnt even need to be good at, and the guy who apparently socked Death in the jaw. 

and he looks like the personification of a golden retriever. a baby faced, messy haired young man booking it across the grass, evading a scorned waterfowl.

at that moment, you conclude that nothing in this world makes sense

A...weird one, it started off as a silly gag comic of scooby doo, then just, SPIRALED into a big dumb war Hanna Barbara crossover storyline. Like Bugs Bunny shows up and he gets energy powers, that's the kinda level of stupid silly stuff.

- Abstract Gender - Aaron "Rayne" Stewart

Ryan the sourpuss and his moron friend Brian get turned into girls after being jumped by doctors in a spookhouse that had a treasure guarded by penguins. Ryan has to stay a girl while Brian gets to change back and forth for some reason as they get into more wacky shenanigans. This comic has had at least 5 artists and even then it has the alien dice thing of characters not being consistent within its single pages.

- Gungear - CatzK3

In the 39th century, nuclear war has made animal people, who have become vague communists and humans develop weirdly sexual bio-organic robots to combat them. It's a...very unpleasantly weird one that isn't drawn well at ALL.

This is already on the rifflist, so, yeah.

Oh god. I am surprised this hasn't been suggested. The inconsistency seems to be worse than with Alien Dice, and talk about a premise that couldn't be made today.

alright ive finished the story and honestly i was kinda cooking with this one. anyways consider:

after the trinity church ambush, instead of trying to use him as leverage over the tinkerer so he can get the nuform, krieger, inspired by how miles was able to absorb the energy from the various nuform reactors, decides to use him as both a self-regenerating battery and energy filter. after all, if they’re so worried about nuform being unsafe, then here’s the perfect solution to create safer energy. (and if krieger uses him for that “next level bio-engineering” he was talking about on the side, well, that’s just a bonus.)

phin is left alone in that room, to be tortured both physically and mentally by the ideas of what they could be doing to miles, until she gives up the nuform’s location. prowler, meanwhile, only knows they captured miles when they shouldn’t have. he isn’t told about the situation’s new development.

time skip of indistinct length later, phin finally plans and enacts an escape plan. prowler discovers that they’re doing something to spider-man, although he isn’t able to find out just what. but he can definitely make some guesses. the two accidentally meet up mid-looking for where miles was moved to, and, very very reluctantly, begin to work together to find him.

and from there its the adventures of the tinkerer and the prowler as they try to find spider-man (because krieger took some extra steps in his security this time around) all while working with someone that they wouldn’t really care too much about if they died. also ganke phones in with some help (which phin does not like because now she knows that he knew miles was spider-man all along while she was kept in the dark). and the pair experience like, character growth and stuff while playing reluctant heroes.

(miles, meanwhile, is being kept beneath the roxxon plaza reactor. at some point or other krieger reveals that he’s modified the reactor and miles still ends up figuring out that phin’s plan would vaporize harlem. not great considering phin is 100% still planning on blowing that shit sky high, in fact even more so now considering they kidnapped him. and aaron does not really feel like stopping her.)

You know what the worst thing about this whole Caleb thing is? It's that I truly don't care. I'm not even annoyed, it's just. "Oh some more cheap drama just for the sake of being "shocking" that they don't have the talent to then actually continue into an actual story Of course, that was expected. Hm I wonder what I should have for dinner?" I don't hate it, I don't love it. I'm not even meh on it. I'm just totally indifferent, and that's really not a good thing.

I think I care slightly more than you do only because I do kind of enjoy the dynamic between Cain and Caleb at least as it existed in last night's episode and tonight's and I think it might be nice for Cain to have that kind of presence in his life because he really doesn't. Because Sam is not that brother for him. He had maybe a little bit of that with Aaron but without Aaron, he could use that kind of character to bounce off of. It could be nice. I'm always for characters forming more genuine connections with others.

At the same time I rolled my eyes so hard when I found out they were bringing in a secret long lost brother in the first place because it was just totally unnecessary but then I actually could like this relationship but no...can't have that...

Gotta be super lazy and make up some overly convoluted nonsense twist that will somehow manage to be both overdramatic and completely anticlimactic at the same time because no one wants it and no one cares.

I only care what the twist is just so I can see how stupid it is because I still hate every theory I see.

Caleb being an undercover cop - doesn't really make sense because what would he possibly be trying to figure out. No one cared that much about Kyle killing Al to investigate further. Or the theory that he's somehow trying to find out what happened to Malone because people can't accept that the Malone saga was just a botched story that went nowhere.

Caleb being an imposter - for what purpose?! And what was the flashback? And who even would know about him to impersonate him in the first place or was it a 30 year long con, which would be even more absurd. Or Imposter Caleb knows real Caleb or knew him and is trying to get revenge because something happened to him that can be traced back to Cain?!?!? It's all ridiculous.

Caleb is Chloe's Gangster Dad - He'd have to like also be Cain's long lost brother and Chloe's adoptive gangster dad who was in prison and now he's out and like....just...what the fuck for?!?! And why would he have it out for Cain? And why the Kim stuff?!

Caleb is Chloe and Amy's bio dad Tony - Again...what the fuck for?!! Also if he actually was real Caleb that would make Amy Cain's half niece and then it's just all the fucking weirder. And I feel like Amy might know what Tony looks like maybe?!?!

Caleb and Nicky are related and working together - I feel like Nicky being Caleb's secret son is somehow the most plausible because there's clearly something going on with him too and why not just lump them together in the same convoluted backstory but also again...to what fucking end?! Maybe working for Jaime but why involve Cain?!

Caleb is secretly working with Joe Tate - There's always a Joe theory even though Ned is never coming back. I almost wish they just would recast him and bring him back already so everyone can stop having that theory every time something happens. But at least Joe would have something against both Cain and Kim so that would slightly track.

Caleb is somehow connected to Al - He either wants revenge for Al or he's connected to the people who Al owed money to that they just kind of dropped. Again...would they really bring that back? Does anyone care?

Every theory is garbage. Haha

I still maintain that the most shocking thing would have been for him to just be as he seemed. Just a long lost brother looking to reconnect with his family and pay back Cain for taking the fall for him thirty years ago.
