Pumpkin spice and the smell of rotting leaves are in the air of Amity Park once again, and there have been a few strange happenings around the town. Weird notes popping up on post boards, in lockers, and in mailboxes... All over the place, really.

And after all the strange events last October, Amity Park feels peculiar waves pulsing throughout the town. Or at least those more sensitive to the supernatural energies are able to.

However, this time it seems that our beloved Phantom is taking a break from all the Order and Chaos of last year- leaving up for debate whether Science or Magic should rule the season.

Will you, dear reader, help our hosts solve their argument? Or will you find a way to enmesh the two?

What is Ectoberhaunt/Ectober Month?

Ectober Month is an event similar to both Inktober and DannyMay! It’s a Danny Phantom fandom event during the month of October. Each day has a theme (or themes) selected for fans to create with. The event goes for three weeks with the final week of prompts created by the Ectober Week group. We do this to avoid overwhelming creators or overlapping the other event.

Why two themes?

We decided to do dual prompts each day for fun and variety. Not every prompt fits perfectly with the overall theme (example: ‘Trick vs Treat’) but, we try to do a varied event with as many fun and polarizing ideas we can think of!

How does this event work?

The calendar with our prompts will be posted early September. All you need to do is pick a prompt, create something, and tag it properly so we see it!

Posting for this event starts October 2nd!

How do I post my prompts?

You may post your prompts on your social media of choice, but we only reblog/share things posted on Tumblr (if they're tagged properly, see below) or submitted to our Ao3 collection. You may also join our Discord server to share links directly with us and other participants!

What are the posting guidelines?

Tag all posts with “Ectoberhaunt23” so we can find it. If you do not use this tag, we will not find you.

Tag which calendar you're pulling from (“EH Science” or “EH Magic”), which day the prompt is for ("Day X"), and which prompt(s) you completed ("Eyes" "Teeth"). Example: #ectoberhaunt23 #EH science #day x #horns

Put your fics under a readmore. Add a summary before the cut with any content warnings and prompts were used. Then, if you'd like to, add a preview no more than 150 words or 10 lines/groups of text under your summary. If you're using mobile, type :readmore: and hit enter to make a readmore. If you do not do this, we will NOT reblog your post.

Make sure to tag all common content warnings (blood, gore, death, drugs, body horror, existentialism, & vermin)!

Introductory post

Hi there! It's me, 22!

I LOVE being creative in every way!

I enjoy mostly

- writing

- video editing

- photo editing

- and new-found through tumblr (thanks to @moon-arts02 ): drawing

I am German but I also speak English (If you speak German, feel free to talk to me in German)

I don't and never will do hate or bite you. I always try to stay as friendly and polite as I can.

But I have a Sicillian temper, so behold! If I have an obsession or hyperfixation on something or someone, I can't stop ranting about it/them because my brain is a piece of paper with the word of said hyperfixation/obsession on it and I can't think of anything else.

Fandoms? TOO MANY.

Favorite Characters? TOO MANY.

Hopefully I'll be able to show which fandoms I'm in and what my favorite movies and characters and shows are throughout the years but there are just too many to name them all here.

However, DISNEY is always something you can talk about with me! (My mumy was a little naiv in presenting the Disney quiz to me for my birthday. So I said: "Mumy are you sure we can play this?" and she was like: "Nah, I don't stand a chance against you")

Because 22 is my favorite character from Soul and I am a creative soul.

people who aren’t in the house md fandom assume that the batshit craziness of these plotlines starts and ends with the old man yaoi and the malpractice. you all think you understand? [grabs you by the face] listen to me closely. these patients specifically seek out house because he’s known as the capital-G God of diagnostics. on MULTIPLE occasions someone has come in with seizures, coughing up blood, in multi-system organ failure and the team is like “it says here in the chart that you’ve had sex before?… yeah so we have concluded that ur allergic to cum :/ sorry.” and then are genuinely shocked when their treatment of “no more taking big fat loads from peanis” doesn’t reverse sepsis. this is a medical drama. about medical mysteries

Sorry just thinking about how Jon starts off episode 22 by asking "Martin, are you sure about this?" and it sounds like a bit of a dickish question but then you remember he took Naomi Herne's statement two months before and he's still having nightmares about it.

And he tries to tell himself they're not real. They can't be real, it's just his subconscious mind throwing this disturbing conversation back in his face every night. But part of him knows Naomi is dreaming this too, part of him knows that they're real, part of him knows.

And he doesn't want to inflict that on Martin. He doesn't want to inflict it on himself, seeing Martin in his dreams every night. But Martin insists, so he takes his statement.

The sheer relief he must feel that night when there are no worms in his dreams. The release of tension, the realization that what happened with Naomi was just a one-off. He's still seeing her, of course, but his nightmares are blessedly Martin-free.

Sasha, he just asks if she wants to wait. He's not worried about giving her nightmares, now.

And then Melanie comes in. And he takes her statement. And when he closes his eyes that night, he finds himself in the halls of an old, crumbling hospital, watching the ghost hunter hold her camera up to the crack in a door, and peer inside.
