"Not gonna pester ya or anythin', but... I heard your ma has control of you... Y'know, I miss my ma so much and I couldn't tell if she still with us...

OH, pardon, I probably said somethin' unnecessary. Why are you mad 'bout her?"

Al would wipe his tears.. Before brushing the side of his face.. His expression would darken..

"You've never met my Mom... Be thankful... My Mom is a horrid- Horrid witch... I don't have a single reason NOT to be mad at her... She basically kicked all my siblings out- before kicking me out.. Then sued my siblings, who took care if me, to take me back.. Only to send me to boarding school..."

Al would then look to Joëlle... He would hold somber within his eyes..

"Oh... I'm sorry... I'm sorry for going on.in.. I just.. Miss my siblings... I miss Oli- Destiny- Marley.. All of them..."

twst + pokemon crossover is the best thing ever i think!!!!!!!! i had a blast scrolling through others' posts, it's such a rich and cool universe to bring literally any characters into??? admittedly i didn't put too much thought into the pokemon they should have but i regret nothing (also i think kalim should own at least one shiny pokemon because lucky + flex, i gave him furret cause furret walks around the world and cause it has a pink shiny form, i named mine 'strawberry' and i think kalim deserves his own strawberry too (now when i'm thinking about it it should've been oshawott huh))

Yes! In your face, Penny! (Have I mentioned before how hard it is to get six Pokémon in one photo? It's like herding cats Eevee :P )

Sadly, couldn't get my shiny Glaceon and shiny Espeon in the picture because I can only have 6 in my party (and they're not on Penny's team). But, as far as I'm concerned, I've officially beaten the game now. I don't think I'm going to play anymore until the DLC comes out. It's funny how shiny hunting in this game is simultaneously very easy and a complete pain in the ass.

My take on the Pokemon/Batman thing

Listed here are Bruce, Alfred, Dick, Jason, and Tim! Damian, Steph, Cass, and Duke will be listed in a second part

Bruce: He's a RICH mf, so his pokemon, especially those he's has since childhood, are all pedigree

Growlithe/Arcanine | "Ghost" - Bruce was gifted Ghost by his parents for his sixth birthday. He named the growlithe "Ghost" after the Gray Ghost, a show Bruce and Thomas Wayne watched when he was younger

Eevee/Flareon | "Blaze" - Bruce finds an eevee during one of Gotham's coldest winter. The eevee was crouched over his owner, who had died from hypothermia. Bruce, as Batman, contacted the authorities and they took the eevee to a shelter (ig?). Later on, the eevee escapes the shelter, evolves into flareon, and hunts Bruce down-refusing to leave his side. (The eevee elvolved into flareon because he never wants to see another person suffer from the cold.) Blaze joins Batman on patrols, especially during the winter, where he huddles up next to those in need until Batman can reach them and direct them to safety.

Riolu/Lucario | "Valor" - Bruce receives an egg while training with the LOA, which hatches into a Riolu, whom Bruce names Valor. Valor helps locate victims and people in need before guiding Bruce to them.

Absol | "Omen" - Bruce finds Omen, or rather, Omen finds Bruce during a Gala. The absol was rushing around, trying to warn people of danger while the elites were trying to call security to have the absol removed. Bruce saw Omen and remembered their ability to predict disaster, and pulls a fire alarm to force everyone out of the building. Soon after, a bomb goes off and everyone escapes safely. The absol follows Bruce home and refuses to leave, thus forcibly becoming a member of Bruce's party.

Aegislash | "Rex" - A gift given to Bruce by Ra's al Ghul, almost a promise or acknowledgement of sorts. Rex hovers behind Batman on patrol, watching his back and protecting him against attacks

Honorable mentions: Ampharos (a beacon of light admist darkness), whom I wanted to include, but decided not to. Umbreon (because angst), but I decided flareon would be better. Dratini (elegant af and cool-looking), but didn't really fit the story I wove.

Alfred: He worked in the british military, so his pokemon would mostly be centered around that era

Fletchling/Talonflame | "Sprite" - Alfred was given fletchling when he was but a young lad living in Brighton. He called the fletchling "what a spritely lad", and so the fletchling- now a talonflame who's gone through war with him- only responds to Sprite/Spritely

Blissey | "Madame" (Missy by the Batkids) - Alfred found Blissey at the manor's doorsteps soon after Bruce lost his parents. He'd expected the pokemon to leave soon after, but the Blissey stuck around. Alfred called her Madame as a joke, but the name stuck around. She can usually be found following Alfred around the manor while doing chores, or helping in the cave after patrol

Sobble/Inteleon | "Lad" - Alfred found a sobble during war times, and he felt bad for the lad. The sobble stuck around, and Alfred never found it necessary to leave the sobble behind, and so it eventually evolved into Inteleon and helped Alfred in his soldier days. Eventually, they all retired, and so Lad helps his trainer around the manor, and indulges the children whenever they ask Lad to shoot an empty can or something. This is another case of accidentally naming a pokemon, because the name "Lad" just stuck

Slurpuff | "Buttercream/Butter" - A gift given to Alfred by an old fried. Butter helps him bake and cook, and can also help detect lies! Butter is beloved by all within the household

Minccino | "Argentum/Archy" - Alfred found Argentum abandoned while on a grocery trip, and took the little guy in. Archy helps Alfred clean around the manor, and loves to fuss over the kid's rooms and hair (especially Tim's)

Honorable Mentions: Sinistea, because i was REALLY tempted to make a HAHA BRITISH joke, Drampa, because HAHA OLD.

Dick: Our favorite circus boy!

Pidgey/Pidgeot | "Skyler" - Skyler was the chick of his parents' Pidgeots, and she trained alongside him basically since birth, and she was there with him when Dick's parents died

Poplio/Primarina | "Poppy" - He was given poplio during his time in the circus, and he named him poppy as a pun! When Poppy evolved into Primarina, it was right after Dick found out about Jason's death, so it was... an experience

Zorua/Zoroark | "Monsieur Fox/Foxy" - Dick found Zorua while in his tenure as Robin, and the pokemon just stuck around. The name Monsieur Fox started as a joke, but Dick shortened it to Foxy when zorua refused to respond to anything else. Foxy helps alot during undercover/recon missions, and the other batkids would occasionally ask to borrow him for a mission or another

Eevee/Espeon | "Amy" - Dick helped Bruce rescue Amy from a pokemon trafficking thing, and Blaze adopted the eevee before ANY of them had a say. Amy evolved alongside Dick, the pair growing together into Espeon and Nightwing [insert something poetic and symbolic]

Honorable mentions: Chatot, because have you SEEN dick? He's a chatty little fucker as robin, and Chatot would make him that much more insufferable. Swablu/Alteria because I think dick deserves a dragon-dancing, party-sweeping alteria 😔

Jason: Our favorite dead robin :3

Vulpix/Ninetales | "Annabeth" - Jason found vulpix when he was younger, just before Catherine died. She would try and defend him whenever Willis got violent, but the man's Kingler would easily overpower her. Jason named her Annabeth after his personal hero, Annabeth Chase :3

Eevee/Glaceon | "Belle" - Jason found Belle rummaging in a trashcan. He felt bad for her and took her in, naming her after Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Belle evolves into Glaceon in the winter after Jason's death. She sat in the snow, refusing to come inside until she evolved into Glaceon (this highlights the fire/ice duality between Jason and Bruce, and how after his death, Jason grows colder towards Bruce and their ideals and way of controlling crime differs so drastically that it resembles fire and ice)

Honedge/Aegislash | "Alexander" - Jason received a shiny honedge as a "gift" from Talia. In order to be allowed to keep it, Jason had to convince the pokemon of his worth, fighting alongside it until it evolved into Aegislash. He named it Alexander after Alexander the Great.

Zorua/Zoroark | "Marley" - Jason receives a hisuian Zorua a year before he returns to Gotham as red hood. He accepts him partly as a taunt because Dick has a zoroark, but Jason's zoroark was a ghost type (A once-departed soul, returned to life in Hisui. Derives power from resentment, which rises as energy atop its head and takes on the forms of foes. In this way, Zorua vents lingering malice. -Legends Arceus. Departed soul? Dead? Get it, Jason? HAHA). He names his zorua after Jacob Marley, from a Christmas carol (Because not only is Jacob marley a ghost, has a J name, but also comes back to warn Scrooge to change or else little timmy will die (telling bruce he has to change before TIM will die (omg i'm a genius)))

Honorable mentions: Leafeon was my first choice when it came to Jason's eevelution, but it didn't really match. Next was houndour/doom because i wanted Jason to meet it while on the streets, but decided otherwise. And then a shiny magikarp/garydos, but decided against. Same with tyranitar and garchomp. Sure, they might be cool and powerful, but i don't think Jason would actively take in pokemon especially after his death, the only exception being Marley. Plus, those pokemon are typically seen as angry and uncontrolled, and I wanted to depict Jason as more cunning, sharp- a strategist willing to get his hands dirty rather than a brainless brute who ONLY wants his dad's approval

Tim: Another rich mf!

Vulpix/Ninetails | "Aurora" - Tim gets Aurora, a shiny vulpix, as his first pokemon, a gift from his parents after their trip to japan. (You bet your ass Aurora and Annabeth have met before, which is why Annabeth refuses to fight Aurora, even when Jason orders her to. the two vulpixes use to sneak out at night and play together :3)

Eevee/ Umbreon | "Selene" - Tim wanted to be just like his heroes, and begged his parents for an eevee. They decided to give him a well-bred and pedigree shiny eevee (their son deserves the BEST). Nyx evolves into an umbreon while he and Tim were chasing after robin with a camera, and Tim decided to change her name from Silver, to Selene

Munna | "Remmy" - After Brucequest and his time after Ras and Paris, Tim gets horrible nightmares. Dick gives him a munna to try and help Tim sleep better. He was initially distrustful, but after a while, he grows to accept her into his life. He named her Remmy after REM sleep

Archen/Archeops | "Iggy" - Tim finds a plume fossil while working with Ra's. He revives it before evolving it into Archeops. They work together to catch criminals, with Archeops chasing it down on the streets while Tim pursues from the roofs.

Noibat/Noivern | "Mya" - Tim finds an injured noivern as Robin, and nurses it back to health. He tries to release him into the wild, but the noivern came back, and Tim couldn't find it in him to abandon the little guy. He names him Mya, short for Myotis, the genus for bats

Honorable Mentions: Altaria, becuase i ALSO want him to have a sweeper, but sadly no. I debated on giving him Zorua, but I felt like it was getting repetitive, and decided against it. Corvidknight too, but i thought it wouldn't have matched

Joëlle makes an awkward smile towards this Umbreon. However as he still stares at her, her smile fades away.

my brain ran away with pokemon crossover stuff so here are some headcanons I have afjksafhakj (these are copy-pasted from my doc, which is why I include typing and stuff lol)

Duosion!! (Psychic) F 

Kaveh catches a Klefki after a business trip causing one to consume his house key after he accidentally loses it. Back then, the Klefki liked it so much (this PKM Scarlet Dex Entry) that it gained the house key and lion key chain onto its form.

Kaveh gains an Applin from Al-Haitham. Alternatively, Al-Haitham has the complicated process of giving one to Kaveh without explaining himself. He brings it home to take care of it ("It was involved in a student's less than ethical studies. Now it has to recover.") Kaveh steps up instead to do so because "you of all people could use the help to show a little more outward compassion for a little one in this scenario." The Applin gets attached, and so does Kaveh get attached to it, so now Kaveh keeps it as one of his own partners. 

Duosion often helps Kaveh work, it's one of the few scenarios where both brains of the Pokemon will agree with each other. Following this, would also be taking care of Kaveh when the man falls into a daze of work. She is one of the reasons Kaveh has not keeled over from exhaustion in the past few years since she joined his team. 

His Duosion loves messing with Al-Haitham's Sceptile, particularly egging him on to train. But will quickly concede when caught, and Al-Haitham has reminded it several times of the consequences, to no avail. Duosion continues because, to her, it's entirely entertaining in the end. To Sceptile, with care, the coating of liquid gel encased by membrane is very similar to a chew toy. Kaveh had screeched profanities the first time he caught sight of Duosion in Sceptiles jaws. Then he is shown that Sceptile would not actually chew on Duosion and that it is more of a "game over" to Duosion's teasing. It's less panic and more exasperation after that.

Espeon and Umbreon were two Eevees from the same litter that Kaveh and Al-Haitham took in a bit before their fallout in the Akademiya. After their subsequent separation following that day, it was a wonder that the Eevees evolved to polar opposites, similar to how Kaveh and Al-Haitham see one another. Kaveh certainly had words to say post-reunion when Al-Haitham released Espeon out to play with his Umbreon. But when the two Pokemon started tussling and play-fighting like Kaveh remembers them doing years prior, he held his tongue. For what did it matter? So long as they're happy with their forms and with seeing each other again. 

Al-Haitham's Sceptile was once his grandmother's Treecko. Just like when Al-Haitham was younger, Sceptile now will still try to entertain him even though he's grown out of his child-self. Sceptile is still his closest partner, especially since Al-Haitham had relied so much on the Pokemon after his grandmother's passing and vice versa. 

Scolipede is incredibly stubborn, to the point where Al-Haitham has learned to curve its aggressive spouts with common trips outside Sumeru City to train.

still thinking about my Pokémon AU so I’m gonna indulge myself and talk about KevAaron’s teams

Aaron’s a decent battler. He knows strategy. He’s studied move sets and type advantages and all sorts. He can be fierce when he needs to be, but he hates seeing Pokémon badly hurt so he’s not always ruthless in the way Kevin or Neil would be in battles.

Aaron’s main crew:

Eevee - he’s had him for a long time. They used to play together when Aaron was younger & Eevee came to visit him frequently even before Aaron caught him (he allowed himself to be caught without a fight). I think it fits as Eevee is overlooked or dismissed a lot. They’re seen for their potential to evolve rather than as they are, and I think Aaron would like his little Eevee even if he’s not got the best type advantages - though he might evolve at some point

Snubbull - he got her in a trade. She came with a nickname and she’s the only one of his Pokémon that has a nickname lmao her name is Princess and she’s spoiled af (I personally think most people AARON ESPECIALLY would nickname their Pokémon if they were real but for the sake of readers not having to constantly double check which Pokémon I’m referencing if I ever do write this, I’m going with show logic of they just go by their Pokémon names)

Magikarp - he saw her being attacked by some Pidgeys and rescued her but once he released her back into the river, she flopped out again, and she kept flopping after him, which led to her getting attacked by the same Pidgeys, until Aaron finally just put her in a ball. She lets herself out CONSTANTLY (think Misty’s Psyduck just jumping out all the time) and she can’t fight at all but he still keeps her with him

Can see Noibat & Sandshrew as part of his frequent rotation - Noibat because my Aaron loves music, and Sandshrew as I think the closed off defensive vibe fits

He has a Tentacool cause jellyfish!

In one of my month of Halloween prompts he’s dared to catch a ghost Pokémon and he catches a Gastly

These will all evolve eventually and the idea of his Granbull called Princess being taller than him brings me so much joy (I’m making her an especially large one just for this) not to mention Gengar (he’s shorter but he floats so he seems taller)

Aaron & Kevin eventually catch a few Pokémon together. They both get Rockruffs but they evolve into different forms (Aaron’s is midday, Kevin’s is midnight) & they get Nidorans of different genders (Aaron ends up with Nidoking while Kevin ends up with Nidoqueen)

I could see him also having Sharpedo, any of the puppy Pokémon (I’ve got Poochyena down for him, but could see him with a Fridough too - I was just trying not to duplicate and gave Jeremy Firdough instead)

Pichu (but will eventually evolve him to a Raichu)

Could also see him and Andrew with Squirtles! (Andrew’s evolves to Blastoise, Aaron doesn’t circulate his into battle as much so he’ll be a Squirtle much longer)

Then with Kevin, as I said - gym leader Wymack (unsure of his gym type maybe rock or fighting I think he definitely has very sturdy Pokémon regardless of type) and Elite Four (if not champion) Kayleigh (she has a mixed team if she’s champion but was heavily fire based as one of the Elite Four) as his parents - he’s a very strong trainer, knows type advantages well but also has great instincts. However he’s been honed in controlled environments his whole life. His main partners either gifted, or he was taken along by his parents to catch them. He’s skittish and nervous about going exploring

Growlithe and Vulpix - his earliest partners, gifts from his parents, both quite haughty and do not take to many people. (Growlithe is slightly more friendly, in that he’ll give you a warning growl, but Vulpix is an outright burn risk) Instantly adore Aaron. Kevin’s a bit put out by this initially until he gets to know Aaron better

Espeon (Jean has an Umbreon, they raised them from Eevees together, he has a soft spot for Aaron’s Eevee when he meets him)

Houndour (Kevin is also a puppy Pokémon lover) - she’s a lot younger than Growlithe. Tries to follow his lead, but clumsier and more curious of other people

Ralts (as anxious as each other) (eventually Gardevoir)

Pidgeot - from a Pidgey that was the first Pokémon Kevin caught himself

Ponyta - great for transport, learned how to ride very young, though he’ll probably ride Arcanine when he evolves instead

Others include: Charmander (another gift from Kayleigh I feel, perhaps for starting his journey away from home, whereas his Growlithe and Vulpix were like pets as well as partners when he was younger) Cyndaquil & Espurr (anxious babies) & Rowlet (he just gives the vibes of history nerd to match Kevin)

And then his eventual Lycanroc and Nidoqueen from the Rockruff and Nidoran he caught with Aaron!

I feel like Kevin would catch a wide variety of types and switch out for advantages but these are the core group he uses most. Whereas Aaron gets very attached to his Pokémon and is less about having loads of them, and more about having strong relationships with and taking good care of the ones he does have.

The door flew open, smashing against the dresser on the otherside. A small banged up looking skitty walked through, hollering at someone on the other side of the door as they walked in. However they managed to cuss out the person or rather pokemon on the other side of the door, before slamming the door shut..

"Idiots.. Just idiots I tell ya Al.. And if I could- I'd run them through the ground- You know what I'm saying?"

An anthro looking Umbreon was sitting on a nearby couch, looking quite saddened by something..

"Yep, mhm..."

"Ayo man! What's your deal?"

"Its nothing Wisk.. I just... Have been missing my siblings again.."

"Again?? Aye Dios Miho, man- Just sneak out and go see them! That's what I do when I wanna see my family-... You didn't heart that by the way.."

"But my mother Whisk... She'll just find me all over again... and- and I... I just..."

The umbreon, AL, began to tear up..

"Hey, hey! No tears on my watch buddy.. You've just got to stand up to her- You know?"

"But.. I can't.. I've tried and tried, but I don't know.. It's like, she's got full control of me now... And IM JUST SO SICK OF IT AND HER!!"

Al, picked up a nearby alarm clock, and threw is against a nearby wall.. Causing it to shatter against the wall... After doing so, Al finally calmed down.. But was still in tears...

"Al, man.. I can-"

"Can you please just go Whisk? I.. Need a minute..."
