Sekiro does female characters the way I wish most franchises dealt with women. Sekiro remembers that women actually make up half of human population and are fully fledged human beings. The corrupted monk, O’rin of the water, Emma, the Divine Child, Snake Eyes Shirahagi and Shirafuji, and the Okami warriors are so seamlessly integrated into the story and at no point does their sex matter. Even the lore includes them in so well, for instance Tomoe and the Sculptor’s girl, Kingfisher are so intriguing and this is how I feel women need to exist in stories. Like they belong there

#I know the main storyline is almost free of women unless u include Emma #and she also takes on the caretaker role that most women are given #but I still think that so many villains being women is just wonderful #and the fact that O’rin is the only one you can tell just by looking is a woman means so much to me #sekiro #I’m so obsessed with this game right now

You probably get this all the time but just wanted to say I really appreciate the time and hard work you guys put into this mod. coding and implementing these things can't be easy and I'm sure it's very time consuming and tons of frustration in some instances. I heard there's an upcoming update? May you guys overcome any challenges that it brings. We will eventually reach our destination, All Aboard!

Aww thank you so much!! It's always nice to hear that our efforts are appreciated! It sure does take a lot of time. I believe we may be approaching a year since I first decided to implement Emmet as an NPC on a whim...

April 25th, 2023... It's getting close. And it won't be ready for release anytime soon! Especially since I'll have to go back and update the mod to be compatible with the 1.6 update (I did try updating their dispositions to the new format but well... It didn't load properly after that and I decided to put it off until later. Later is coming verrrry soon!).

But yes! The journey may be long, but we will eventually reach our destination! All aboard!!!!

okay I'm not expecting anyone to care all that much, but I was looking at the prompts for the 18th Day of Gift-Giving for my Olli/Allu fic advent calendar and I'm between two options on what to do with them, so if anyone out there wants to put in their two cents...

#on one hand i'd like to write a standalone with a storyline of its own #because that way i could probably manage to write a better story #on the other hand i kinda feel like i should focus on the main plot after all the standalones i've posted this week #but if i stick to the main plot my options would be more limited 🤔#because i don't feel like making either of them have a random headache/migrain or some kinda personal crisis #just for the sake of the prompt #i know there's barely any plot to begin with but i still don't want to make it too scattered 😅#i have an idea that would work alright for the main story and it would probably turn out cute enough #but some of the other prompts that wouldn't really work for the main story are soooooooo tempting #and i mean. at least 4 or 5 of the stories for next week will be related to the main plot #plus the stories for the 16th and the 17th #so there'd still be plenty for that too!#i'm probably gonna make my own decision regardless of the voting result but i'd like to hear from you anyway #i've never made a poll before and i'm kinda nervous about this lol i really am expecting this to get maybe 3 votes max 🤡#i hate how the title is so huge pls don't be annoyed with me i'm sorry for existing i promise i'll never make a post ever again 😭#not putting this in any tags. you see this if you see this

I get the impression that money was a bit tight on clouds on the horizon in general, what with the uneven time put into the lumity kiss vs the hexsquads fight outside blight manner w/ the infamous cha cha slide, plus background details going wonky (like baloony hunter), but my favourite semi-wonky frames are the closeups on Hunters face when he's talking with Luz about him being a grimwalker.

bc the proportions are just. So funny to me. Why is his nose so long. Why are his eyes in the middle of his face. When did his forehead get so big. What's happening. Did I die. Is this purgatory. I unironically love this bc it reminds me that this show was made by people who were trying their best. And sometimes their best looks the Bunter Vs hexsquad fight in thanks to them and other times it looks like this

(although in searching for this image I was informed that a different studio than normal animated clouds on the horizon. Which is probably at least part of the reason why there's so many bungled frames. Also probably why the cha cha slide got animated the way it did. God I love animation)

#ramblings of a lunatic #the owl house #toh #hunter toh #I'm sorry if this post seems mean i promise you I'm trying not to be this is unironically one of my favourite parts of rewatching this ep)#my thoughts on clouds on the horizon are that i like it's individual elements but it struggles to be more than the sum of its partd #*parts #mainly i think that everything is pretty strong minus. literally the ''main'' storyline of amity and her family #i think you need at least one extra scene to communicate to the audience that the relationship between al and odalia-#-is more abusive than we'd previously been led to believe. because as it stands it feels like too much of a leap between previous eps #but like. everything else about this episode is good and works #its that storyline that lets this ep down and makes it feel incongruous to me #i recognise that it's a result of the shortening and I'm not mad about it so i don't make a big stink about it #but its the reason i dont really care too much abt alador as a character. he's good when it lets me explore other characters feelings #(Darius Amity even Willow or Camilla etc)#but other than that he's just kinda there #anyway i think i mostly wanna get to the specials #im fighting the part of me telling me to just rewatch my comfort eps (asias and labyrinth runners. also ftf a lil bit) bc WE JUST DID THAT #IF I KEEP WATCHING THEM TOO MANY TIMES I'M GONNA GET SICK OF IT AND DIE #but like. i really wanna :(#being strong tho /j

ethel muggs is a better person than me bc if i were her and then gained control of the events of an alternate universe version of my town and the people in it i would probably just cause unimaginable pain for them on a daily basis. the way they treat my girl in the early seasons is so casually horrible and for what....... get away from that typewriter gayboy i'm torturing your polycule

#basically all of her storylines in the early seasons boil down to 'fat girl is unpopular' its genuinely upsetting #im watching the last episode of s2 right now and the only time something mildly good happens to ethel is when a main character #takes pity on her. other than that's she's just there to be dismissed and made fun of it's so sad????#and i GETTTTT that ethel too is just trapped by the narrative in her role of unpopular girl but the way they portray that in s7 #where she still very much has that role but instead is treated like an actual person is so much less horrible to watch #also i need to rewatch the show for this but there's something so interesting ab how ethel's main desire in every one of her incarnations #is to be with jughead but then even when she's in control of the narrative she still can't be with him because they're both outside of it #probably means something. will get back on this when i reach epiode 100 the jughead paradox #personal #riverdale
