I’ve heard a lot of people citing Hunter from the Owl House as Autistic, and while I have no intention of ruining anyone’s enjoyment of this character and this particular head-canon, I always thought this take was odd. Having interacted with many Autistic individuals during my life, my brother and Uncle included, as well as a few of my close friends, I never really saw it in Hunter. Sure, he’s a bit socially awkward and doesn’t always understand the other kids his age, but that’s about as far as the symptoms go before the argument sort of stops making sense. Maybe Hunter is Autistic, but I think it’s criminal that everyone talks about him being Autistic without mentioning another character in the Owl House that exhibits far more symptoms of the disorder than he ever has in the show. Any guesses? I’ll give you a hint—her name is Luz.
You heard me right. Luz Noceda is autistic—or at least I think she is. I know Luz has already been confirmed to have ADHD, and those symptoms are definitely present, but just because she’s already neuro-divergent in one way doesn’t mean she can’t be in another. Luz has always been known to be quirky. She hyper fixates on her witch obsession without ever losing interest, is constantly missing important social cues from others, misreading the mood in a room or other people’s intentions, and most importantly has never once seemed bothered by anyone else’s unusual behavior. Luz sees people for people and nothing else. She doesn’t attribute labels to others and never seems to be bothered when others call her weird—in fact, Luz seems to take it as a compliment.  The autistic individuals that I know are extremely interested in other people and have no problem thinking highly of others for characteristics that many neurotypical individuals would never notice about another person. They get completely absorbed in their hobbies and interests, eager to share them with anyone and everyone they bump into without seeming bothered that others don’t share their passion. Luz loves the Azura books, and when others insult them to her face it never seems to bother her. However, when someone does finally share her passion, that person being Amity, Luz is over the moon about it. And speaking of Amity, Luz doesn’t ever really seem to pick up on Amity’s feelings towards her until they’re stated directly to her in the Hooty episode. (We all know the one.) Despite Amity constantly showing clear interest in Luz, Luz doesn’t seem to realize this prior to the episode where the two of them become a couple, and completely misreads Amity’s mood when the two of them are on the ride Hooty made for them in the basement, not realizing how happy she is at all and jumping to rip everything down.
Any one of these things on its own isn’t really enough to say Luz is autistic but put together they create a character who seriously reminds me of many of the autistic friends I’ve had. Maybe I’m wrong, but I have a good feeling about this. And compared to Hunter, who while being somewhat socially behind others of his own age is extremely adept at communicating with individuals who are older than him, Luz interacts with pretty much everyone the same, needing to check in constantly with others to know where they’re at. She’s very understanding, but so are most autistic people I’ve met. Just because she’s something of a social butterfly and gets along with others easily doesn’t mean she’s always completely on the same page, and she usually needs to be caught up on what others around her are feeling to get there. Anyways, that’s just my take on her. I’ll stick to it for now, but feel free to share your thoughts with me and let me know if I’ve missed anything important about her character.

What if all of volume 2 is Steve’s Vecna vision.
Nancy getting a vision of all of Hawkins (Steve’s home) getting destroyed. They make a plan to go back into the Upside Down (which Steve was totally against but no one listened to him). Nancy and Robin both getting choked out by vines while he’s helpless and not able to help them.
Robin getting her heart broken by Vickie when Steve is 100% sure she’s into Boobies, but Robin not believing him, which is fair as a lesbian in the 80s. But then her really seeing it and running off heartbroken at War Zone after seeing Vickie kiss a dude. Steve doesn’t want Robin to be hurt ever and he just watched her heart break.
Max, his little pseudo sister, sure she’s cursed by Vecna in Vol. 1, but I don’t really believe that Steve would go along with letting three children go up against Vecna alone when there are other threats out there (I.e. Jason fucking Carver coming in and beating the shit out of Lucas). Seeing her get hurt to the point of dying for over a minute and then being brought back is something that could break Steve.
Dustin. Literally thinking Dustin is in any danger makes Steve go crazy. He trusted Eddie enough to leave Dustin with him and to keep Dustin safe. But then when he gets back from the Creel house fight, and sees Dustin screaming and crying over a dead Eddie surrounded by bats… yeah that’s not a good sight for Steve. And then he finds out that Dustin broke his ankle from jumping back into the Upside Down.
Eddie, who yeah he just met but got to know really well second hand from Dustin and Mike when they sang his praises to Steve. The “older male friend”. The first male his age that Steve actually likes and wants to be friends (or more) with, just ups and sacrifices his life for Dustin. But Eddie runs, he’s not afraid of running, like he said to the party during their campaign: “there’s no shame in running.” Had Eddie kept running or after he fell, grabbed the bike again or even fucking hot wired a car that was in the upside down, he would be alive and would’ve still distracted the bats and gave Steve and them more time.
And even the California crew. Sure Steve didn’t know anything that was going on with them. But he has heard the stories about Eleven and Dr. Brenner. Brenner being back and alive, forcing El to see the things he forced her to in that tank, under the guise of getting her powers back. Traumatizing her even more. Steve may not have known El for long or interacted with her as much as he had with the rest of the Party, but he’s heard stories and knows the stuff that she’s gone through. He would be LIVID knowing what happened in that bunker.
Will, the nicest and most polite out of the Party. Will has gone through so much shit and as much as I liked the Russia storyline because it gave us Hopper, I don’t believe Joyce would just leave her sons and El in California alone with no adult. So for Steve to find out that the mother figure in his life left Will in California alone (with Jonathan but still) just reminds him of his parents leaving him alone all the time. And Steve does not want any of his kids to feel like how he felt when he was growing up.
Also. Back to Nancy. For the last two years or so Nancy has been all Gaga over Jonathan, cheating on Steve with Jonathan and making plans for the future with him and not with Steve. Why would Nancy not respond almost immediately to Steve saying his Winnebago dream was with her with “I love Jonathan” or “I’m with Jonathan”? Sure they’re having trouble with long distance but Nancy seems like the kind of person to only cheat once, since she saw how that basically destroyed Steve.
So yeah. Volume 2 and maybe some of Volume 1 could be Steve’s Vecna vision.

going through the hades 2 stuff and im sorry but i just have to ramble a second because look at Hephaestus
Tumblr media
he's not just a wheelchair user but also an amputee. an above knee amputee. wheelchair users are already next to nonexistant in video games but amputees exist in this really...disheartening? spot where they're pretty much just reduced to "person with a cybernetic limb" - it's always just somewhere from "just a cool visual design" to flat out "superpower". I can't think of a video game amputee that is actually disabled by their limb differences - I'm all for futuristic worlds where prosthetics and other disability aids are far advanced from what they are now, but that's not really what's implied by these designs. They're just... Cool designs that in no way reflect on the real-world experience of being an amputee.
Look at Hephaestus, though. Look at that prosthetic. Whilst stylised it very much looks like it functions like common mechanical knees - knee bends when thigh is lifted, knee straightens when thigh is lowered. He's a wheelchair user as well as a prosthetic user - every prosthetic user I know is also a wheelchair user as a prosthetic is not usable in every occasion and also cause exhaustion and pain if used constantly.
Whilst we can't see much of his wheelchair the position he's sat in and the wheels very much evoke active wheelchair to me - this carries on to very specifically the thickness of his arms. Whilst a lot of Hades designs are muscular Hephaestus has very noticeably thick arms - which makes sense, as active wheelchairs require a lot of arm strength.
Just overall this design is making me want to cry - he's not just an actual wheelchair user in a video game, he's a realistic depiction of an amputee, a disability usually brushed over in order to give a character a fun design quirk and nothing else. He's fat and he's hot and he's a realistic depiction of an above knee amputee. Oh my god. Oh my god?

Oh look, it seems everyone has been opted into the unfortunate "experiment" now. For everyone who has been blissfully using the old UI up until now, welcome to hell :)
Do you not like hell? Do you want to leave and crawl back up into the sunlight of the old UI? Well, have I got a link for you! A beautiful tumblr user (who is not me) has gone and fixed things beautifully for you already: https://github.com/enchanted-sword/dashboard-unfucker
You will need to have Tampermonkey installed on your browser of choice, and once that's done, just go to the github link above, and peruse the readme to install. And voila! You have your old dash back!
The authors of XKit Rewritten said during the experiments that at the time, since this was an "experiment" they weren't going to implement anything to revert to the old UI (although who knows if they'll do it now). And the dashboard unfucker has worked beautifully enough for me to where I genuinely couldn't tell if they had ended the experiment or not.

Having a cat in winter time is very very dangerous they don’t warn you.
“It’s cold.” I knew that part. I’ve been through 27 “it’s cold”s in my life. “It’s cold AND there’s a soft little cat asleep on my bed with me”? Dangerous. Absolutely dangerous. You will never ever get up again.

“Bruce is emotionally incompetent and can’t step outside his own morality” yeah it’s a character flaw.
“Dick is extremely stubborn and thinks he’s right all the time” yeah it’s a character flaw.
“Jason has hypocritical tendencies” yeah it’s a character flaw.
“ Tim is entitled and doesn’t think about people when seeking results, and often acts uncaring” yeah it’s a character flaw.
“Damian is rude and bratty” yeah, it’s a character flaw.
Also, some people may not even regard everything listed above as flaws.
Having negative traits allows incredible flexibility within your characters, what makes them intriguing, what makes them easy to relate to. If you want to write people, then write people. But they can’t be good and clean all the time.
