Yeah, I'm not taking this sitting down. Man, I really am not trying to have beef out here, but I refuse to have my good fucking name tarnished. To make a public post about me? Yeah, I'm going to share my side. The facts are as such:

I approached wolf on 12/20/23 about a NSFW commission inspired by one of their works. It would feature my sona and an aged up Donnie. As they mentioned, our initial conversation was good. We went back and forth during the sketch phase and I requested quite a lot of edits. I asked if I could pay them for these corrections.

it was right after this that wolf asked about Donnie's battle shell since it wasn't illustrated.

After this message, I did not hear back from wolf after 2/9/24 until I sent them a follow-up message 3/27/24

I did not hear back from wolf until today 5/6/24.

Now I cannot share the images of the art I received because it is NSFW, but I can tell you that the grey from my sona's body appeared to be missing. The ears of my sona were grey, but the body only looked yellow. Donnie was missing his purple arm marks, and his knee pads were still the same only now they were colored in black along with his mask. From here I will just send the conversation in its entirety.

For reference, this was the reference sheet they had.

I was then sent two pieces where the grey on my sona was very obvious and Donnie's markings were now present with the following text.

Now again, I wish I could show you the pieces, but I can't. I was offered a 50% refund for my troubles, but I was not interested in taking it because wolf had already done all the work.

I will say that I was extremely frustrated with the whole affair so the next part I will admit was a bit salty because while corrections had been made, I wasn't able to give any input so there were still mistakes in my sona's colors (specifically the underside of the tail was yellow instead of white and my grey arm had one side yellow) and Donnie's mask was still black. The following is our last correspondence on my blog.

This would have been the end of it for me. Except, I did not get the email. I waited in hopes it would come in, but none did. Since I was blocked I was forced to reach out from one of my side blogs @thisgoesouttoyoubaby which feel free to check. it's my reblog sideblog that I use to send my bestie memes. It dates back YEARS and is not used for spam.

As you can see I was blocked here.

Now I have been refreshing my email feed waiting. I know emails can take time, but I have no way to confirm if I'm getting my work because I was immediately blocked on thisgoesouttoyou with no response.

Now I'm not interested in hurting wolf's reputation. I think you should still commission them if you'd like. I still am a fan of their art. I have no ill will, but fuck if I will stand by as someone tells me that I won't pay an artist. I never even said i wouldn't pay. I was just frustrated because they wouldn't follow their own three correction rule. They allowed me no recourse, and then they were petty before I could even confirm that I received the email.

Could I have been nicer?

Of course.

Could I have been more clear?

Absolutely.

But there is no world in which I tried to gaslight anyone. I pride myself on my honesty. I was not shy when paying them. I sent payment before we even began. I offered to pay them more and acknowledged I was a needy customer halfway through. Okay, I'm weird for being +20 and liking a compilation of pixels created by a Japanese woman who is working with two huge companies that only care about money.

There's nothing wrong with think a person's attitudes strange due to their concepts, but print the person's blog, posting on your personal account to generate rage isn't right... And I wonder where these people get the courage and morals to demand certain behavior from a person if they don't even possess it themselves. A minor consuming adult content and talking openly about it but insinuating that I'm an adult and somehow weird for having made fankids? Taking advantage of the opportunity to use your favorite character to study anatomy, doodles or silly ship things? Serious? Please just mature and grow up.

Hmm… this one is kinda tricky

You see, he is from the Queendom of Roses but at the same time he is not powerful enough to do that much damage… with magic at least

When Ace found out that you were everything but a ordinary student you two were in a rather unhappy situation

I mean, either you make that huge glass thingy behind Riddle trip and fall or you can eat rose bush which it was swinging around like crazy… pick your poison

Ace isn’t the fatest tool in the shed but when you, a magicless student, suddenly used something akin to magic he knew that something was up

And who would have known, maybe if it wasn’t for the bad parenting of Riddles mother you may have hidden this until the day you would go separate ways

But oh well, seems like fate decided it wanted him to be religious

I mean, a God of trickery, something like that is perfect for him!

Not to mention that you are way more approachable than some God of law and order because who would want to follow such a stiff deity? (Jokes on you Ace but Riddle...)

Despite him being on the “chill, man” side I can also see a huge spike in religiousness in his personality

I mean, come on, it’s now literally proven with his own two eyes that God (or Gods) at least exist

So we feeding the carnivores today? Sounds like a plan. Not a good one but at least it is one

Ruggie has always been someone who needed to clench his teeth and do stuff other people wouldn't do simply to have his basic needs fulfilled

So imagine you standing there one day, opening up that you are in truth literally the things he had been craving all his life for

Mhm, I am just had he doesn't have rabies. You could have fooled me with how aggressive he becomes towards new people (and also your own little circle to be honest) after finding that out

Here we are, Leona is dealing with his stuff in an unhealthy way and someone needs to step up and bring him down to earth again

But imagine his surprise that you were actually the good of kindness after you slapped our local lion who may or may have not escaped from the Zoo next door back into reality (and out of his doom)

After he spends even more time with you it starts to make sense thought

Even though he is the closest person to Leona which could be used for someone's benefit people still tend to be at least wary of him because... well broken bones hurt, you know?

But here you are, holding out your hand to him, offering him your kindness and friendship

Though you could have said “marry me” because win his eyes that is exactly what you did

And who is he to say no to such an perfect being literally being from heaven (or whatever higher place)

He is scratching, biting, kicking and using all the dirty tricks in the book just to keep you alone, isolated and all for himself

Of course he won't do that in front of you, he isn't a monster! Such a pure and perfect being lime you doesn't need to witness such a thing!

If you thought that Diasomnia is already bad then I would say yes, he is only a teeny tiny bit better than them

Why? Oh well, he doesn't have the magical or physical strength to start a war

That doesn't mean he won't leave you alone

You will spend somewhere the rest of the time he exists in a small in the middle of nowhere thinking that everyone despises you

Chaz is a nothing character (Chaz Rant)

Chazwick Thurman is one of the two main antagonists in EXES and OHS alongside Crimson. I am going to make a blog in the future sharing my thoughts about Crimson. For this one, I’m going to talk about why I do not like Chaz at all and why I honestly don't even consider him to be a character of his own.

Ⅰ. He shares the same traits as many characters

One of the main things that lead me to conclude that Chaz doesn't have any defining character that sets him apart from the rest of the characters in Helluva Boss is that he shares the same character traits with the majority of the characters. That being he's horny and greedy. Those two traits are something that the majority of the characters in Helluva Boss share.

Stolas is horny, Blitzo is horny and greedy, Verosika is horny and somewhat greedy, Crimson is greedy, Fizzarolli and Asmodeus are most definitely horny, Cash Buckzo is greedy, and Martha is horny.

Those are characters I listed from the top of my head within the show and that's like a small portion of the total roster. The difference between those characters and Chaz is that Chaz doesn't have any uniqueness or anything that makes him stand out. The only thing that makes him stand out is that he's Moxxie and Millie's EX, but that barely matters because it's revealed that he will just sleep with anyone with no hesitation. Plus we never even got to see what he did that made Millie so pissed off in the first place, so we can just say that he's Moxxie's EX and move on.

Ⅱ. He's weak

Despite being a former member of Crimson's Mafia, Chaz is the most pathetic and weakest antagonist in Helluva Boss thus far. He's really afraid of Millie and cowers in fear whenever she goes crazy to the point that he hides behind his boss who's probably physically weaker than him for protection and he got killed by Crimson not long after Moxxie, Millie, and Blitzo escaped.

I honestly have no idea how this guy managed to get into Crimson's Mafia because he's literally the least threatening antagonist in the series and nothing can really convince me otherwise. You can argue that he can beat up Moxxie, but who couldn't? Even if he does he can't really stand up to Millie, he'll get turned into sushi.

Ⅲ. He's pretty stupid

I'd forgive the not being physically strong, if Chaz had some form of intelligence to him, but low and behold, he doesn't. Meaning that since he isn't threatening in the physical or mental department he's just an antagonist with no worth and what leads me to conclude this is his plan.

Chaz's plan sucks ass because it doesn't have much thought put into it and somehow Chaz really did expect it to work out. The first step was to rent a suit which is decent compared to the other steps.

His second step in his plan is to convince Crimson that he's rich, and he's extremely lucky that worked because as mentioned in previous posts, Crimson didn't check if Chaz was telling the truth or not because if Crimson did check if Chaz was telling the truth then Chaz would've died before the events of EXES and OHS.

His third step is to marry Moxxie and he should have believed that it would never work since Chaz literally left him behind the last time they saw each other. But it doesn't matter because Crimson did eventually force Moxxie into nearly marrying Chaz.

And the step that pisses me off the most is the fourth step being "???", like I know this is for the meme and all that, but the man is literally risking his life to steal the fortune of the most infamous mob boss in all of the Greed Ring. Chaz was not thinking ahead at all when making his plan.

And his 5th and last step is to profit, but how is he gonna profit if he doesn't have a 4th step? I would assume the 4th step involves him taking the money, but he doesn't know how to even do that.

It's extremely lucky that Chaz had managed to get past the second step of his plan and into the third step because of the writers hadn't decided to make Crimson dumb for the plot then Chaz would've not made an appearance in Helluva Boss. If Crimson was smart and if the writers decided to give Chaz an appearance then I'm pretty sure the only thing that would've appeared was Chaz's jaws mounted on Crimson's wall.

Ⅳ. His true purpose

Vivziepop stated in tweet on Twitter that Chaz was supposed to be an example that the show was not afraid of killing off characters. This is honestly a really bad example to make out of a character that died in the same episode they made their debut. Chaz is an absolutely horrendous character and when I saw his teeth about to be hung up on Crimson's wall, I was joyful because of how bland and annoying he was.

Usually, when creators of shows or other forms of fiction kill off characters to show that they're not afraid to kill off characters in stories, they usually use characters that are well-developed and actually well liked within the community or characters that go through development in the arc they are introduced and are suddenly killed off. A great example of this is Junpei from Jujutsu Kaisen. Junpei is a character in JJK introduced in the "Vs Mahito" Arc and is one of the central characters of that arc from Chapter 18 to Chapter 27 in the manga. A kid with issues in school who has the innate ability to see curses and used cursed techniques, but due to the manipulation of the main antagonist, the sudden death of his mother and the past trauma he had due to bullying in his school, Junpei uses his newfound abilities for evil such as attempting to kill his bullies. It isn't only until Yuji Itadori, the series’ main protagonist talks him out of becoming a mass murderer, but it's too late. The manipulator, Mahito suddenly kills Junpei giving him a slow and agonizing death.

And when Junpei eventually dies, that's when it becomes impactful because overtime we've learned to understand where that character was coming from and the potential he could've had if he stayed alive.

Not to mention the death itself was emotionally painful and disturbing to see.

There's no motivation for Chaz getting the money aside from the fact he's poor but if he really needs that money, he would've robbed another place instead of attempting to rob an infamous mob boss that's known to kill people who cross him. I don't understand why Chaz wants to steal Crimson's money specifically because if he had a deeper motive then it should've at least been revealed within the episode, but there was not a deeper motive. Lastly, I most definitely do not like Chaz and I can't relate to him because he's really insufferable and I honestly don't know anyone who's similar to Chaz who isn't in jail right now.

Vivziepop introduced Chaz in one episode and in that SAME episode, she killed him off without giving him any development to his character or even giving him a character at all. If Chaz was revealed in the series to show that the writers aren't afraid to kill off characters, then why didn't they develop him within the episode? It also doesn't make it any better that Vivziepop has killed off antagonists in the show that being Martha and her family who were also revealed and died in the same episode, so I do not care about the "We're not afraid of killing off characters" thing when the only characters you kill off are bland characters or characters you don't know what to do with. Because I am not sure if Martha and her family will appear in the series again as Sinners.

Also, just a nitpick here, but how are you gonna say that you're not afraid to kill off characters when you're not going to show how they died? Because Chaz's death was literally off-screen.

Conclusion

It's very disappointing to see what the writers have done with Chaz because as always he could've been a potentially interesting character. Chaz being the ex of Moxxie and Millie, two characters who have the most functional relationship in the entire series was interesting but all they did was just made him into a sex-crazed dumbass. I'm glad that they killed him off because it would've been really annoying just to see him in another episode. Anyway, thank you all for reading and I hope you all have a nice day!

Hey, it's the 10th of April - 10/4, like the 104 building! I couldn't resist!

Here's a fun fact for you: Long before I was running this blog, I was making a certain other SiIvaGunner project, and through working on it decided to reach out to the SiIvaGunner channel head, MtH of Bigger at Night (Chung Yard) fame, for the first time ever. So what was one of the first-ever things I directly told someone from the SiIvaGunner team? "Make more The World Ends With You rips". Yes, I was young(er) and stupid(er), awkward and strange, and I of course now know that good rips come to those who make them, but the sentiment holds true even today. The World Ends With You's soundtrack still means EVERYTHING to me. And, well, though we don't have many rips to go around for the game, I will continue to cherish the ones we do have: because as far back as Season 1, there have been absolute bangers within out small selection.

Now, if you've followed SiIvaGunner for any amount of time, you know about the joke of The World Ends With PSY already. It's PSY, the K-Pop legend, the man behind Gangnam Style, Gentleman and so many more hits, and perhaps more importantly, a YTPMV celebrity. He's had annual days of celebration on SiIvaGunner, one of which I covered back with One Winged PSYcho - V​.​S. Sepsyrop, and rippers have continued to find all kinds of creative ways to utilize the man's distinct sound, including the sentence-mixing marvel of Korean Idiot. Those two rips are still the only PSY-specific I've covered on here, but they lay a pretty concise groundwork, particularly the former: Most PSY rips made for SiIva utilize PSY's "eyys" and "ops" for truly next-level YTPMV-tier postings, the kind that you'll also hear in big meme medley rips like ULTRA S+G. Yet, that kind of makes The World Ends With PSY a neat novelty, in a way: in the days of Season 1 before PSY's presence on the channel was so clearly decided, one Metalik made a PSY rip that goes against the pattern all three prior mentioned rips follow.

Rather than usurping Calling's instrumentation with leads made up purely of PSY's immaculate soundscape, The World Ends With PSY is a no-nonsense mashup, between PSY's Daddy and the aforementioned game track. Calling as a song is defined by the contrast between its noisy electronic backing and its beautiful vocals, like a light trying to shine through the darkness - The World Ends With PSY, then, is as if more noise is added to that blend, with pieces of Daddy's instrumental persisting throughout the track as PSY's own vocals alternate in and out with the original vocalist. It's a really interesting mashup - PSY's always prominent within it, yet the original beauty of Calling's vocals never feel as if they're drowned out, just framed within such a different kind of noisiness. To cut a long yap short - it bangs!! It isn't the kind of vocal/instrumental mashup that wholly changes the track's tone a la My Dr. Eggman Can't Be This Evil!, but it undoubtedly IS different, yet different in a way that highlights the strengths of both tracks used.

And yes, this is a Season 1 rip nonetheless, I can certainly hear some slight cracks in the facade at points - but The World Ends With PSY remains my favorite rip the game has gotten in all of these years. Compared to some other efforts made earlier in the season, such as Three Minutes Clapping literally just being what the track name says, or Deja Vu just switching to the titular Eurobeat song at the chorus' end - funny gags for sure, but none quite feeling like a loveletter to The World Ends With You in the way I've long wanted. We've gotten a sprinkling of rips of the game since, but it was The World Ends With PSY that I first connected with all those years ago - the rip that reassured me that the game's soundtrack is still remembered and cherished by others aboard the team.

Hiiiii tell me fun facts about Ruby Bates! How did she become a zombie? (And anything else you feel like mentioning!)

So! Ruby is originally from my own zombie universe "Heaven is Invite Only". It's a pretty basic zombie apocalypses scenario but the thing is EVERYONE is a zombie even the "survivors" who are zombies but are aware of who they really are and what is happening. Ruby is one of the "big" enemies. She's a stalker that chases after the main characters when she sees them, basically. Her obsession with them is driven by desire to both befriend and kill which turns into a pretty creepy combination of disturbing compliments like "Your eyes are pretty I want to put them in a jar".

So as to how she became a zombie, well...like everyone else in that universe basically. There are two basic ways you can become zombified: Either be bitten or be dead prior to the actual epidemic starting. Ruby is the latter, she died about a week prior to the zombie infection starting. Because her body wasn't buried but instead was kept in a warehouse with the people that killed her, she escaped really easily.

In the JW AU, she's a human but other than that she's not too different. Her zombification turned into just insane amounts of adrenaline and general emotional numbness to pain. I have her profile linked in her blog @rubybates-oc that you can check out for more elaboration.

For the event I basically just decided to go back to her "roots" so to speak.

Okay, now actually some funny facts lmao

Her last name is "Bates" because I decided on her personality when I went onto a rabbit-hole of Patrick Bateman memes on pinterest. I decided that making a character who's personality is just...THIS will be really funny.

Outside of JW she also has other AU's: Postal, Borderlands and Cyberpunk. In Cyberpunk I ship her with Johnny and I even made them a spotify playlist. Something about Johnny possessing a person and then finding out the original person is SO MUCH WORSE is really funny to me 😭😭😭

She's naturally blond!

I often associate her with racoons and when I draw her I sometimes use them for symbolism.

One of her eyes is constantly squinting but the eye itself works fine. After a drug induced stroke her facial muscles where basically paralyzed in that area but she can still "see"...technically.

The fact that she absolutely refuses to wear shoes is kinda a meme now honestly, but her actual reasoning for it is that she feels more comfortable when she has full control of her toe's grip.

Some big inspirations I used when making her is Majima from Yakuza and Trevor from GTAV.

This is more in tune with LuImagines blog but I'm gonna put it here because it was introduced here. Hear me out because I'm gonna throw a bunch of ideas at the wall that don't string together at all, instead of player having a kid, mf was literally just babysitting a kid before both of them got scooped up into dink's antics.

(I didn't know the gn term for aunt/uncle so I used godparent, someone who is close to the kid but not 'this is my responsibility') I mentioned Pinky because I can't help but see the kid as just Lucky/kid link of player's Hyrule (I use 'player rather loosely here btw). I say this because 1) the kid's a little shit and 2) the chain absolutely wouldn't let a random person and their child travel with them, not unless the kid in question is another Link, one that is far too young (according to some links) to defend themself against Dink (the person who brought them all here for some reason). Player and Lucky's relationship is like that one meme of the guy holding his kid upside down by the ankles, now it's that x2 because they've adopted wind into their little 'family' and by Hylia if player isn't carbon cut copy of the 'hot mean older brother' I don't know what is.

Or maybe parental figure! Player who is in a similar situation to Eda from The Owl House. "I Don't want kids" "who's that *points to Lucky*" "an exception" or "I've had Lucky(and Wind) for ___ weeks now and if anything happens to them I'm killing everyone and then myself". Player is not a good parental figure, and Time and Twilight both have aneurysms whenever player turns to one of the two and says something like "you wanna know how to make a pipe bomb?""you want to jump off the ledge into the sea? Sure lemme get Wild's slate I want a picture"

I bring this up because Player isn't Link's parent they are but shhh, Link knows that, strangers however, don't.

Player is trying to spit some game, either to get cheaper prices or they saw someone real cute. Either way, it works and said person reciprocates and offers a time for a date. Suddenly a childish voice yells out "HEY MOM/DAD/ETC." Player's soul is halfway to Hylia by the time they feel a small hand grasp theirs with a 'there you are! I've been lookin' all over for ya!'. Player can only look somberly at his huge grin and evil bright eyes. The two immediately walk off, player unable to even look in the merchants direction from sheer embarrassment. A Link is not a Link if they are not a little shit at some point in their life, so you can expect Wind to join in at some point--hell, even Four joined once.

Also because I did mention lucky and it seems a crime to not include this. Essentially Lucky works because reader decided to defeat Ganon all on their own because Lucky was too young to do so himself. I feel like, while Lucky would be extremely thankful that Player took that burden off of him (and the entirety of Hyrule), I can't help but feel that he would go through a phase of imposter syndrome, especially around 9(10 if First is there) Heroes who are essentially Him but they didn't need help, they actually got the job done all on their own, who is he compared to them? I feel like he and Wind (and probably Wild later on) would really bond in not fitting in with the others, that's probably why Wind was essentially part of your family before the rest were. Maybe Wind tells him that he did have help on his journey, and that her wishes that he had someone like player. Jokes on them both, it doesn't make either of them less of a link, less of a person just because they relied on others for help, that they didn't fulfill destiny as intended

This got long! I talk too much! Answers are below the cut!

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

So I have two accounts lol, because for some reason I decided to make a separate RPF account even though I have other embarrassing things on main account anyway?? Anyway, I currently have 100 fics on my main and 5 on my RPF account.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

Across both accounts, 379,693 words for an average of 3.6k per fic. Longfic? I don't know her.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

I usually write for one fandom at a time, but I will revisit/cycle through fandoms. Currently it's Fall Out Boy. Previously, I was writing some MCU stuff (mostly Spider-Man). Also wrote a handful of Good Omens stuff back when S1 came out. I have the most fics posted for Haikyuu (volleyball manga/anime) lol.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Oops I only have 5 fics so far on my RPF account and I'm still debating whether I want this account directly linked to my main.

But I will take this opportunity to tell anyone who needs it not to put too much stock into kudos!! Kudos count relies on a lot of factors, but a big two are fandom/ship size and when you post the fic relative to the height of the fandom's activity. (Getting in early with a fic right after a new movie/season/etc. comes out so you're one of the first fics for the New Thing can be huge too.)

External validation is obviously very nice but if you rely too much on it, you're not gonna have a good time.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Comments make my entire life and I always want to respond to them, but I inevitably fall off because the brain energy isn't there, and I keep putting it off, and putting it off, and putting it off, and then it feels too late. But seeing as I only have 5 fics on my RPF account, I recently went and responded to everything, even if it was years late. In the past few weeks I've actually gotten responses to some comments I left on fics like 3 years ago so it inspired me, haha.

I myself am not always good at leaving comments (continuous goal to get better at it), so I really appreciate the people who take the time to leave kind comments for me and I want to express that appreciation.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't usually write angsty fic... I'm too softhearted. That said, I have made a few forays into angst, but Your Mileage May Vary on which one is the angstiest. Is it the major character death? Is it the one where they're soulmates with the last words they'll say to each other written on their skin, and in the end it's not death that separates them, but their own inability to have a functional relationship with each other?

Or is it the one I didn't even think was super angsty and tagged "bittersweet ending" but then it made a bunch of people cry? I'm still like "...my bad" about that one lmao.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Fluff is my lifeblood and almost all of my fics have a happy ending. I couldn't tell you which was the happiest, haha. Again, I'm incredibly softhearted, and also a big sap. I cannot deny this!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thinking very hard... I have been posting fic for............. several years so it is possible I am forgetting something but nothing comes to mind! I have always felt too relatively unknown for haters, which is just fine by me.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

"What kind" lol. What does that even mean. Listen, my kink is holding hands during sex and being ❤️ in love ❤️ (I mentioned I'm a softhearted sap, right??)

Sometimes I might explore some light kink but nothing too hardcore imo.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Again, I've been writing/posting fic for several years, so I could be forgetting something, but I don't remember ever writing a true crossover. Though in my personal definition of fandom terms, crossover = characters from fandom A meet characters from fandom B. I have written a few fusion AUs in my time (characters from fandom A existing in the world of fandom B), which you could say falls under the crossover umbrella. For example, I've written Kingdom Hearts characters in a Pacific Rim AU and Haikyuu characters in Dragon Age AU.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of. Though I did once see (this was a SUPER long time ago) someone repost my fic on tumblr the same day I posted it on FFN, even though I also posted the full text of the fic on tumblr myself. They credited my FFN account, at least, but like. Hey. Don't do that.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, I've had some fics translated into various languages! It's definitely an honor that people want to share some of my stuff in other languages and take the time to do that translation work. I try to ask people keep translations on AO3 but it hasn't always succeeded so there are some translations of my works floating around on foreign language fic sites... Ah well.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I successfully co-wrote one (1) fic with one of my friends years ago. I've tried a few other times to co-write fics (including with the same person) but none of them ever finished... Co-writing fic is hard! Idk how to do it effectively. I've done a handful of fic/art collabs with my wife though!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

I don't know that I have a single all-time favorite ship, but Peterick is definitely the current fave. I........ adore them. So much.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Listen, I am a hoarder of WIPs and a clinger to delusions that they will one day be finished. But okay, one of my peterick WIPs from 2016-2017 that I really liked but highly doubt I'll ever finish is a no-band, dating show AU where Pete is the eligible bachelor on a queer offshoot of the Bachelor/Bachelorette and Patrick (through machinations by Joe) ends up as a contestant on the show. Patrick is camera shy and does not want to be there, but he made a deal with Joe to stay til he was eliminated. Pete, who just went through a public and messy divorce with Ashlee, does not want to be there, but he was guilt-tripped into using his moderate fame to help bring viewership to the underfunded little queer show.

Pete finds out Patrick never wanted to be there in the first place and offers to eliminate Patrick. I will copy/paste the next bit from my gdoc:

"[...] pete’s like what if…i didn’t eliminate you and we just stayed friends and hung out and stuff and patrick finds himself agreeing bc pete’s a really nice dude and they have a lot of interests in common

But then Patrick keeps sticking around through the weeks and Patrick and Pete fall in love and both end up having separate private crises because they agreed to be friends. Patrick sees Pete spending time with other candidates and clearly being attracted to them and it sucks because now Patrick is in love with Pete and Pete isn’t considering him at all. Meanwhile Pete is having a good time with the other candidates and sure there’s lust there and even some like but he can’t stop thinking about how perfect Patrick is for him except for oh wait Patrick doesn’t even want to BE here and Pete was the one who convinced him to stay and now he’s fucking in love with him."

Blah blah blah, stuff happens, Pete eliminates Patrick in the last few weeks then when he has to make the choice between the final two candidates, calls Patrick and confesses to him instead, blah blah blah, happy ending.

Anyway. I wrote 11k of that fic and I was about 1/3 of the way through. It will never be finished. But now I've told you all about it and that's good enough, right?

16. What are your writing strengths?

Internal narration and emotions. Tightly focused fics that span 1-3 scenes. Spelling and grammar.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Longfic or fic with several scenes that take place over an extended stretch of time. Related to that, coming up with external plot events rather than just internal conflict HAHA. Describing the setting/environment so the characters don't just exist in a nebulous empty space.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

As with most of my preferences re: fic, it depends on the execution. It can feel clunky and maybe even cringey, or it can feel natural and realistic. Just be intentional about how you're using it. Also, it always helps if you know a fluent speaker who can review it for you but understandably you may not always have someone like that.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

This is impossible to answer hahahaha. Certainly if we look at my main AO3. But if we're looking at my grand total of 5 (as of yet) RPF fics, I can say that I'm still quite fond of get us right (quitters never win), a fob AU fic where everything is the same but they all have minor superpowers, featuring empath!Patrick and telepath!Pete.

This is a self-indulgent secondary blog for all things Lena “Tracer” Oxton. I’ll post or reblog anything from character analyses and memes to fan art and fan fiction, and I’ll sometimes rant about lore inconsistencies or fan interpretations, so long as it ties into Tracer. Emily is the one exception to this rule, but they ARE frequently bought together. Do not separate. During the height of Overwatch’s popularity in 2016, I felt an inexplicable connection to Tracer that I have never experienced with any other fictional character. I guess some people might call it kinning? It all started when the “Alive” cinematic showed up in my YouTube recommendations. Several obsessive replays later, I would go on to watch many videos about the game itself, and I could not get Overwatch out of my head during my eighth-grade classes. Ugh, how time flies. Anyway, I think Tracer made past me realize I wasn’t allosexual or cisgender. Whoopsies! The open beta for Overwatch eventually rolled around on May 5th, and my brain chemistry has never recovered since.

My posts could be better sorted, but there is a method to the madness. They will always be tagged with "#overwatch", its mentioned offshoots (e.g. "#questwatch", "mirrorwatch"), and other related topics (e.g. "#lego" if I talk about the LEGO Tracer minifigure, "#fortnite" if I talk about wanting Tracer in Fortnite).

Then, I'll tag Tracer skins when applicable, followed by "#tracer" and "#lena oxton" (such as "#overwatch 2 #tracer #lena oxton" if the post contains their Overwatch 2 design).

I'll tag other relevant heroes with their in-game names and most used canon names afterward. If their in-game name includes their real name, I'll only tag them once. Soldier: 76 is tagged with both "#soldier: 76" and "#jack morrison" (as opposed to "#john francis morrison"), and Kiriko is tagged with "#kiriko kamori" (as opposed to "#kiriko yamagami").

Any relevant ships will be tagged after every hero relevant to the post is listed. "#lemon tea", which will always be tagged after Lena and Emily, is the one exception to this rule because they are very important.

Lastly, I'll sometimes tag posts into a category. The two most frequent tags of this type are "#meme" and "#art". I've never bothered to tag most of my posts similarly because I can never decide how to categorize them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Headcanons

After "Overwatch: Declassified" released, I made an account on Archive of Our Own and started writing two things: my interpretation of Overwatch's timeline and my interpretation of Lena. I've been working on both pieces on and off, and the latter still has a long way to go. It was originally supposed to imitate a wiki entry, but it morphed into something else entirely as I realized I wanted to really flesh out Lena's trauma, relationships, and skills. Frankly, I'm uncertain if it will ever see the light of day.

I will say that I headcanon Lena as a sex-repulsed asexual lesbian. Emily is the only person they've ever had romantic feelings for, and they are soulmates. (I do not ship Lena with anyone else. I am Widowtracer's #1 hater.) In case you haven't noticed, I also headcanon that Lena falls somewhere under the non-binary umbrella, using they/them and she/her pronouns interchangeably.

My first impression

Honest to god, I don't remember at all- I can kinda glean from older messages that I definitely liked Mangattore from when I first saw him, and I do remember being unable to write Dottore for the longest time despite wanting to (eventually I had to resort to making him a very specific type of character to have it take), but the sheer hyperfixation on him has thoroughly cleared my brain of any previous opinions on him (though I might have felt like I phantom wrote him from the start? hmmm)

My impression now

I love him. Immensely. I think he has a lot of potential for his character to go in various directions, and that's what scares me- we might have to kill him, and I really, really don't want to--

Favorite thing about that character

That's really hard to pick. If I had to choose...I suppose the fact that he's a medic/science boi? Since that's one of biggest factors in being My Type Of Character

Least favorite thing

The fact that his segments fucking die at the end of Sumeru. Yeah, yeah, yeah, probably a minor setback in the grand scheme of things, but I wanted to meet more of them-

Ironically, the death throes of the segments. I play with the Chinese audio, and, like...one of the segments sounds noticeably younger than the rest? Which absolutely punched me in the gut when I heard it. And also just...everything else about it. We get crumbs of characterization, and a- (Also the translated version of the onscreen text is better than the English translation of the scene, in my opinion)

Favorite interaction that character has with another

A character that I wish that character would interact with more

This is gonna sound perhaps a bit odd, but I'm really bummed out that we never saw any direct interactions between Scaramouche and Dottore. How do these two talk to each other? How do they interact? When it comes to actual canon, I have no idea.

I have many. I've already mentioned previously on this blog that I view him as trans (which I bring up now because I don't think I've ever seen anyone else have that headcanon), but another one I have is that he's originally from the desert (shortly after the desert was made) and had two older sisters and three older brothers. Basically the only family member he got along with was his oldest sister, Zahra. Everything else wound up being very...unfortunate.

As far as personality goes:

He is not a nice person. While he seems rather laid back and as if nothing could ever bother him, he will talk down on you, use you for his own advantage, sell you out if he thinks the offer is good enough. He will manipulate and use you to his whims. His constant smile and ability to wrap words around makes it almost impossible to discern his true feeling. Truthfully, he might not be able to ID them himself. He can be nice and he will be if he thinks it will help him win you over.

The state of things going forward

Let’s be clear. Despite Illegal bindings and spellings of fanfiction, I will not stop making fanfiction.

I have stopped using Character AI for a few reasons:

1. AI is getting out of control. Sora AI can perfectly replicate movies and television, removing the need for actors, streamers, influencers, film writers, directors ect. Basically, AI is endangering the entertainment industry as a whole. I have pulled out of the character AI community and will soon be pulling any mentions of AI from my tumblr, as I had already done so from my YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit. I apologize for using this technology, as it has no place in the entertainment industry period. AI is stealing jobs when it could really be used to cleaning our oceans, solving world hunger, and refreezing the poles. I have tried to refrain from making political statements on this blog, but when the arts are at risk, I cannot just stand by. Coupled with the recent attacks on fanfiction due to illegal sellers, character AI and other platforms could decimate the community.

2. I am pulling out of the character AI community and AI as a whole also because I feel like it was making me lazy with my own creativity. I would waste countless hours on Character AI writing less than (how can I put this… wholesome.) which includes a lot of iffy things that the average person would be canceled for. I won’t get into details, but it was pretty vulgar and disgusting. I was in a dark place mentally, and the only way I feel like I can move forward is to not use Character AI and other programs that are similar.

3. It also makes it easier for me to focus on creating a portfolio of content creation as a whole. I am planning on starting a Minecraft streaming career (along with Pokemon and whatever games I find.) on my YouTube starting March. My channel (which is the same as my tumblr name) will have gameplay, speedpaints, AU’s, and hopefully my own indie animated series that I am working on that’s based on Purgatory. I am planning on taking classes on animation and making animation memes as well as my own indie animated series. I will be writing my own Gravity Falls fanfiction along with headcanons and fanart of my self insert, as well as AU’s based on the self insert later on this summer. The first two chapters are available to read on my blog, which will be due for rewrites and drafting on my AO3 page as well as Quotev and Wattpad. I used to think of Character AI and other ai chat bots as a tool to write fanfictions. This is no longer the case, and I apologize for doing such for well over a year now.

I used to think that jobs in the arts would never be taken by AI because AI can’t create. Given the events of the past two years, I now know that that couldn’t be further from the truth. I now refuse to support any ai generated art, text, and video.

I may go as far as to call for another strike for writers, content creators, actors, and filmakers to protect the rights of all in the creative arts. However, this isn’t my place to say, and I am leading it up to the people to make their decision. Just know that the arts are at the greatest risk it has ever faced. I can’t bare to see a world where AI takes the one thing that makes us human; the ability to tell stories.

A Tour of My Daily Planner

Despite bullet journaling for four years now, I only recently started a daily planner.

Instead I had a weekly planner that listed out my “weekly goals” (a set list of things I do every week to move me closer to my bigger goals) along with any additional plans and activities specific to the week in question. I tried to break out that weekly planner into days with little success.

But that changed when I recently got a new journal that isn’t really fancy but has a little date section at the top and clearly meant for daily use.

Now I reserve one page for my weekly planner as I mentioned above and the next seven pages to focus on each day.

In this blog post I’ll share with you how I set up my daily planner in it’s current state.

(Note: I say current state because if there’s anything I learned through bullet journaling it’s a trial and error process and there will be many modifications until I figure out what works for me and what doesn’t)

The top half of the page is split in half. One side is for my to-do list for the day and the other half is further broken into three sections:

-Habits

-Movement

-Small Wonders

Habits:

Here my morning, day and night routines are denoted by M, D and N. There are the routines and habits I want to do every single day like stretching and flossing. (Each activity is denoted by a single letter to save space)

Movement:

One of the habits I’m trying to develop is at least fifteen minutes of moderate movement in a day. On workout days this is easily achieved, but on the other days I try to go on a walk or run through choreographies just to have some movement.

Small Wonders:

This is where I leave space to list out three small wonders throughout the day. Some days it’s the sunshine that lit up my room, or maybe a meme I saw that made me laugh or a song that really resonated with me, basically just leaving space for small moments of gratitude for the day.

This is where I keep track of what phase, and how many days into that phase, I’m in. I also denote which POWR (Plan, Open, Work, Rest) state I’m in according to the phase.

The next two are rough gauges of how much energy I had throughout the day and how much sleep I got the night before. Usually if I’m really tired it speaks to the phase or the amount of sleep I got.

The few lines reserved for mood is my space to write out how I felt through the day and the few lines underneath that is for self-care. Self-Care could be as simple as sleeping early or making time to watch funny youtube videos.

The other side is for listing out the food I ate that was in accordance with my cycle syncing and a section at the bottom for seed cycling which is by far the easiest way to start cycling syncing.

The two S’s stand for sunflower and sesame which should be eaten in the latter half of your cycle and F and P stand for flax and pumpkin which is for the beginning half of your cycle.

And that’s my daily planner! It may seem like a lot but it’s really only five to seven minutes over the course of my whole day to fill it in and check in throughout the day.

I usually set up everything on Sunday for the next week, so everything is ready for me to just fill-out during the week.

This is my daily planner, as in this is what I plan to do, but there will be days where I don’t get a lot of it done and that’s totally okay. Not every day can be ideal and everything gets checked off, so if you’re thinking of starting a daily planner but are intimidated then know it’s okay to leave things blank or not finish everything.

This is what works for me, but you can always find inspiration from Pinterest and other online sources. I recommend, if possible, to make your own planner template after finding inspiration from other places since you will likely need to tailor whatever you find anyway to see what works for you.
