Thin Red Line (bucktommy, 6x11 missing scene)
Me: I'm rewatching "In Another Life" and had a thought. What if Buck met Tommy during his coma dream?
@dadvans: RC I’m going to kill you
+
Between leaving Christopher to wander the hospital hallways like a ghost in search of Eddie for all eternity and doing absolutely nothing to stop Bobby from popping pills like they’re Flintstones vitamins, Buck’s going to single-handedly bankroll every renovation project Dr. Copeland has over the next ten years.
He wonders what she’ll say when he tells her about this during their next session. She’ll probably just sit back thoughtfully and muse, "You say you were trapped in a world where your biological family loved you but your chosen family had no idea who you were. Tell me more about that, Evan."
It's a moot point unless he manages to get out of here, so he swings the axe up, throws a sneer in his evil doppelgänger's direction, and is about to bring it down as hard as he can when his right arm is suddenly jerked behind him like someone’s trying to pull it out of the socket.
Startled, he whirls around, but there’s no one there. Even Bizarro Buck is gone.
An odd pressure tugs at his fingers. For a second, he thinks there’s something wrapped around them. He looks down but he can’t see anything. He can feel it, though. He tests the tensile strength of it by bouncing his hand back and forth, and whatever it is pulls taut when his hand gets close to his body.
It reminds him of playing tug-o-war on the playground as a kid, except instead of deliberately allowing himself to be yanked off balance so his parents could later fuss over the bloody state of his knees, he begins gathering the palpable nothing in his palm and, with a last look at the tableau of the real him lying in the hospital bed waiting to die, follows it out of the room and back down the hall.
He comes to a stop in front of a door that looks like all the others. He must’ve missed this one, although he can’t feel dumb about it, because there’s no way in hell he would’ve guessed this was the exit.
"Take me home," Buck murmurs, opens the door, and walks out—
—onto an outdoor patio.
He drops his head back with a groan. "Oh, come on."
With the wicker chairs and mind-numbingly navy umbrellas, it looks like every cafe’s outdoor seating situation in the state of California, right down to the almost oppressive number of ferns in beige planters shoved in between the tables. The only difference is that the place is completely empty.
Correction: almost empty.
Through the crush of the basic bitch jungle, he sees a solitary man seated at one of the tables, idly sliding a to-go cup from side to side with his big hands. As he draws a little closer, he’s able to clock the guy’s deep blue flight suit and what looks like the LAFD insignia on his arm.
Everyone who’s made an appearance in this weird-ass dream has been someone he knows. Even Daniel, who died before Buck ever met him, still made something stir with some kind of primordial recognition in Buck’s marrow the second he woke up and clapped eyes on him. He'd taken in the gray hair at high temples, the same nose Buck sees every time he looks in a mirror, the confident smile, and had just known who he was.
Buck has no idea who this guy is. He’s pretty sure he’d remember someone who looked like he bench presses actual benches in the morning and rushes off to be photographed for Men’s Health by lunch.
As Buck comes up to the edge of the table, the man looks up at him, and the light of the sun catches his eyes. For a second, Buck’s back on the pier, gazing out into a cloudless sky stretched over the sea, but there’s no inhale of the earth, no oncoming wave. Just deep, Pacific blue. A slow smile spreads across the guy’s face, which takes him from unfairly handsome to utterly striking.
"Hey."
A shiver starts from the very bottom tip of Buck’s spine and travels upwards like ripples on the surface of a lake, spreading out into all of his limbs until he can feel the eddies lapping at even the smallest arteries. For no cogent reason he can think of, his resting heart rate picks up until he’s flirting with full-on tachycardia. Maybe he’s about to code in the real world.
"H-Hey," Buck stutters, feeling caught out. "I—sorry, I’m—I’m a little turned around here."
The man gives him a look that’s both amused and commiserating, then picks up the drink cup he’d been playing table hockey with and holds it out. There's something thin and red tied around his ring finger, but Buck can't concentrate on it for some reason. It fades completely out of view every time he tries. "Want a sip? It’s the worst coffee you’ll ever taste."
It's said around what is clearly a laugh, but Buck doesn't feel like it's at his expense, plus it's so infectious that he can’t help but crack a grin. The muscles in his back, which feel like they've been locked for days, are finally starting to relax.
“If it’s so gross, why’d you get it?” Buck asks, genuinely curious.
The guy shrugs. "I didn't."
Nodding as if that makes any kind of sense, Buck looks around to see if the ferns are hiding anyone else, but it really does seem like there's no one else here. He turns back to the man, who's watching him with that deep, placid gaze.
It's so strange. He'd been so desperate to find a way out of here, psyching himself up for a battle he was prepared to fight to the death in, but all he wants to do right now is grab the chair across from this stranger and just… let the clock run out.
He reaches for the back of the chair closest to him, but it jerks away with a screech.
The guy unhooks his foot from the chair leg and, staring straight into Buck's eyes, shakes his head gently.
Buck swallows around a suddenly dry throat. Under his feet, the patio stones tremble. "D-Do I know you?"
When the man smiles this time, the corners of his eyes crinkle, digging lines that run down his cheeks. Buck thinks of the picture Jee-Yun gave him last week of a beaming sun. She'd drawn deep yellow lines coming off it. Sun rays.
"No," the man says, his voice as warm as a crayon drawing made with unconditional love. "Not yet."
He lifts his hand and this time Buck can see the little red string tied around his finger, and the long tail of the other end of it draped over the table top, which Buck follows the trail of, heart pounding, until it comes to a stop. He looks down to find the other end is tangled around the fingers of his own right hand.
When he looks up, shaking and exhilarated, there's a door in the middle of the patio that swings open in obvious invitation.
The man is no longer at the table, but there are suddenly lips at his ear. "See you soon, Evan."
Before he can close his eyes and sink into the hot wash of breath over his cheek, a large hand slides up to the middle of his back and shoves—
+
Buck knows he's being an absolute creep and Eddie won't stop giving him weird looks about it, but he can't help it. The pilot who's about to steal a helicopter for them has been nothing but friendly and confident, and he's currently wiring Buck up to his headset with brisk, competent hands, and all Buck can do is stare at him like he's got tonight's winning lottery numbers.
Tom Kinard—"Tommy, please. Tom is my father, who I hate."—looks up from where he's bent a little at the knees, trying to get the microphone adapter to hook into Buck's belt, and shoots Buck an awkward grin.
"Is there a spider in my hair or something?"
He hadn't realized how much tension he was putting into the air until Tommy cuts through it with that. Buck ducks his head and laughs, feeling like a dumbass. "Sorry, man. It's just—do I know you from somewhere? You look so familiar."
"Maybe I just have one of those faces," Tommy says, all good humor.
For Men's Health, maybe, Buck almost replies, then has to clench his teeth so it doesn't slip out by accident. What a weird thought to have. With his luck, Tommy would've taken it the wrong way and then abandoned the mission altogether. But even thinking it feels like a lie. Buck's known the guy for all of five minutes but he's oddly sure Tommy wouldn't leave them in the lurch because Buck feels the need to share every dumb thought that crosses his mind.
"All right." Tommy stands up straight and steps back, but not before he gives Buck a friendly pat on the arm. "You're good to go."
Feeling oddly bereft, Buck says nothing as Tommy steps around him to where Chimney's been not so patiently waiting for his turn.
"Sorry about him," Chim says, jerking a head in Buck's direction. "He was struck by lightning last year and hasn't been the same since. I mean, he was always annoying, but now he's just weird."
Buck deserves an Oscar for the fake outrage in his voice when he shoots back, "The view must be great from your glass house, Mr. I'm Dressing My Kid Up As A Ceiling Fan For Halloween," because the rest of him feels like it's in a tailspin. Every atom in his body is positively screaming for some reason. It's probably because they're all going to die. That makes the most sense.
When Tommy laughs, the corners of his eyes crinkle.
Sun rays, Buck thinks nonsensically, and tangles the headset wire around the fingers of his right hand.

"He Can't Have You" (Astarion x Reader)
Seems as though Auntie Ethel doesn't go down without a fight, and that fight involves bringing out the worst in people's minds. (Also we get to see where the nickname Aster came from)
tw - mentions of abuse, panic attack
The Sunny Wetlands, later revealed to be a putrid swamp, have proven particularly difficult for Astarion. The last thing any of you expected was to find a Gur hunting him, especially this far from the city. It made your heart skip a beat, hearing the monster hunter utter his name, and you could feel the tension in the vampire. Thankfully, you did away with him quickly. By now, he's told you plenty about his past, at least as much as he could bear to tell. That haunting feeling though, knowing that Cazador was hunting him, it was paralyzing. As you searched for Mayrina, you and Astarion fell behind the rest of the group.
"Are you alright my love? I could tell them we should just set up camp for the night, rest up for dealing with the hag."
"Nonsense. What would I look like, asking everyone to stop for me? The Gur has been dealt with, let's just leave it at that darling."
"I cannot imagine dealing with the hag will be easy though."
"I'll simply run my blade through her like I do everything else. I'll be fine."
It hasn't been long enough with him to truly know if he's lying, but you certainly have a hunch. On the way back to the hag's house, Gale casts detect magic.
"She's definitely in here. We should be prepared."
Sure, she looked like a sad old woman, but those adventurers told you the truth, how she took their sister. When Karlach leads the charge, opening the door, she tries to look shocked.
"Oh dear! It's quite rude to storm into someone's house like that. Where are your manners?"
Without responding, Karlach throws her axe into the hag's shoulder, breaking the illusion, showing the monster for who she is. Covered in grime, like a witch born straight from the mud.
"It looks like I'll just have to teach you all how to be polite!"
Karlach tries to go for a second hit, but the hag teleports. Gale soon tracks her down, casting a ray of frost. Astarion follows her up the stairs while she tries to counterspell Gale. You and Lae'zel try to attack from a distance, missing because of just how quick she can move from place to place. Wyll has focused on assisting Gale, and Shadowheart is keeping track of all your party members, making sure to be there as soon as one of you takes a hit. In the meantime, she casts guidance on Astarion, who is fighting much more intensely than usual. Perhaps killing the Gur wasn't enough, and the anger was still boiling inside.
"Alright little mosquito, you want to be a thorn in my side? Poor decision."
The hag disappears from sight, and Astarion stops in his tracks. At first you think nothing of it. It almost looks like he's searching the room for where your enemy landed. For him though, the hag has cast a strong illusion, preying on his worst fear: being back in Cazador's grasp. The teahouse has transformed into the kennels, cold stone on bare feet, blood spattered across the walls.
Well, well, well. Seems as though the boy never learns! Perhaps, this time, will set you straight.
He hears the voice of Godey taunting him, threatening to pull him apart again.
"No! No, I left- I left, I was free!"
It's at this moment you realize he's not here, not in the mental sense.
"Focus on the hag, I'll try to snap him out of it."
You order the rest of the group, and they nod without a word, searching the teahouse for where she's gone now. You run up the stairs, finding a trembling pale man who has dropped his daggers.
Deep down, you like bein' leashed, don't ya?
The words bounce around in his head, a vision of Cazador appearing. You try to shake him, to mentally connect him back to his body, but it only plays into the illusion more, your actions becoming Cazador's.
"Astarion! Astarion it's just a spell, it's not real. It's not real my love, please."
Soon enough, your group finds the hag again, disrupting her concentration, releasing her grip on the elf. His breathing is terrifyingly fast, and he takes a moment to come out of the vision, grabbing a dagger from the floor and very quickly brandishing it towards you.
"DON'T."
You're trying desperately not to cry, because you know he doesn't need your shared sadness right now.
"Hey, it's okay. It's just me, Tav."
You lightly touch the hand holding the dagger, and he loosens his grip. Your hands move to take the blade from his grasp, setting his weapons to the side.
"I... I was there. I was back there."
"I know. Seems as though Ethel knows more than she should."
Astarion is still trying to root himself back in reality, you blood still racing in his dead veins.
"I can't go back Tav. Please, I can't go back."
"I know. I won't let you end up back there, ever."
He's still weary of physical touch, so you simply rub across his knuckles, trying to ground him in the moment. Your deepest urge is to wrap yourself around him and never let go, keep him in a protective case where no one can ever hurt him again, but that's not real. Being entirely safe isn't real. But damn, do you wish it was, for his sake.
As you're sitting there with him, the group makes their way back.
"We lost her. Have a feeling she went deeper into a cave somewhere."
You eye Karlach, and the two of you come to a silent understanding as you hold onto Astarion's shakey hands.
"We'll go set up camp where we entered the swamp. Take your time."
And with that, the tiefling takes the rest of your companions out of the teahouse, leaving the two of you alone.
"Why?"
You turn to look at him, cocking your head slightly.
"Why what?"
"Why would you say you won't let me end up there again? Cazador isn't some being you can simply keep me from, he's... different."
"I don't care."
"What do you mean you don't care?"
"I just, don't care. I don't care how powerful he is or whatever abilities he has, he can't have you. He just can't."
You finally do tear up now, not sure how else to explain it to the vampire.
"He most definitely cou-"
"No."
You try to blink the tears away, feeling the little callouses on his palm from over the decades.
"I want you to know what it's like to belong to someone in a pure way, not for personal gain, but just because they need you. And now that I have you... I just need you. I need you Astarion, so he can't have you. I'd die before he could take you from me."
He's silent for a moment. All forms of ownership he's known have been terrifying. Whatever could you mean by belonging to someone in a pure way? How can you belong to someone innocently? Your tadpole senses his concern, connecting without much effort at all.
"I don't need anything from you. I don't need you to do anything for me, I just need you Aster."
He smiles a little.
"Aster?"
"Yeah. Sorry, I had just been thinking about it. If you don't like it-"
"No I- I love it. Aster. Like the flower?"
"Yeah."
Somehow, the teahouse is peaceful in this moment. You feel young all over again, like you've never been in love before, like Astarion is the only being you've ever known. He interrupts your thoughts.
"Thank you, for saying all that. Maybe I wouldn't mind belonging to someone without expectations. It sounds, nice."
His voice cracks on the last word.
"Well, Aster, then you can belong to me as long as you'd like."
You swipe a piece of hair behind his ear, looking for a reason to get close to his face. As if the fates knew it to be true, you lock lips, despite the horrific smell outside and the creaking wood of the floorboards, you're somewhere else. Some place where the asters bloom in peace.

Unmade Man
A Fallout 4 duology—written in the style of a 40s detective noir!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Dead Man Talking
There are three Nick Valentines; the brilliant detective, the fractured snapshot of a grieving man and the aging Synth in Diamond City. But when a prewar woman with an impossible case demands his help, Nick is forced to confront everything he’s borrowed and everything he owes.
In the Commonwealth, a debt is one hell of a thing to forgive.
“The Institute, for whatever reason, put Nick Valentine in here. Then I wake up in a garbage dump and head out into the world. I go from odd job to odd job and finally end up playing detective. You shut your coffee maker off for a hundred years. When you turn it on, it goes back to making coffee. You want to know how I’m sure there aren’t a hundred Valentines? We’d all set up agencies.”
(x)
2. Dead Woman Walking
Two years after throwing in with the prewar hothead with an axe to grind, Nick Valentine works another routine missing persons—an overbearing father, a resigned mother and a daughter who just can’t take it anymore. Dime a dozen; up until she declares herself a synth, hops on a boat and flees three hundred miles north to Far Harbor, where Fog lays thick and hopes run slim. But between the dogged harbormen, the radioactive death cult, the machine claiming to be his brother, and his own hard-headed partner, something has to give.
It took five hundred million years to make Acadia.  The sign was a landmark, a dull green figure with gold etching. Gloria caught her breath and Longfellow fiddled with his gun. They’d leave soon, but Nick had time to kill. And Nick had to make way for the… He squinted. Three million visitors per year. The sound he made got Gloria’s attention. She read the sign, mouthing as she went. She made about the same sound. Five hundred million. Half a billion. Numbers shouldn’t go that high. A figure like that gets full of itself. The arrow on the sign pointed forward, reminding him to pay the fee. Just ahead was one of the most beautiful locations in all of North America. It was an incredible place not to see a lick of. Longfellow beckoned them after the radstag moved on. Nick took one last look at the faded landscapes on the sign and committed them to memory. Five hundred million years to make Acadia. Two hours to fuck it up forever.

bsf!hazel being jealous when you’re getting ready for a date and tries to get you to stay home 🤧
omg the tension wait
“so like, who is this girl anyway… do i know her?” hazel shrugs what she thinks is casually as she rests on her elbow on your bed, laid on her side watching you do your makeup through the light up mirror of your dresser.
“i met her on hinge, remember? we’ve been talking and she seems actually not half bad, which is rare for a dating app.” you concentrate on tapping the liquid highlight into the bouncy skin over your cheekbone, not noticing the way she’s staring at you desperately through the reflection.
“hinge? so you’ve never met her? what if she’s like… an axe murderer or something. you know i heard this crazy story about this girl who went on a hinge date and ended up in a suitcase and i’m just—” she starts but you cut her off with a chuckle.
“let me guess, that story involved a man. how often do you hear about women doing that kinda thing? gay women, even?” you spin in your chair, throwing her an amused smile with your head tilted to the side slightly. she didn’t respond, and not because she didn’t have anything to say— ‘cause she totally did, but because you looked like an angel in that moment, mirror lights illuminating you, high points of your face glowing under the low light. she should be the one taking you out.
you speak again before she gets the chance. “whats the issue anyway? its like you don’t want me to go.” you complain, voice quieter as you concentrate on lining your bottom lip, speech a little slurred as you keep your mouth fairly stationary as to not mess up.
“i just… i just think it’s a bad idea. anyway you were supposed to hang out with me tonight.” she sulks, sitting up just to slump her shoulders dejectedly, feet hanging off the bed and hands dangling between her knees. your posture softens, standing up and coming to sit next to her on the bed, wrapping your arm around her, resting your temple on her shoulder.
“i’m sorry, haze. y’know it’s not like that. i won’t be all night, i’ll come right back to you afterwards and we can watch movies.” you lift your head, grinning in a way you hope convinces her. she turns her face to you, sad, and whole body drooping like a basset-hound.
“or just don’t go” she sighs softly. you stare at her, swallowing a lump in your throat, something stirring in your stomach. surely… not?
“why not, haze?” you whisper, looking at her through your thick, mascara’d lashes.
“hinge girl doesn’t love you.” she returns your tone. you laugh openly, shaking your head.
“no shit, dingus — i haven’t met her yet. but she could fall in love with me, eventually, i mean it’s not totally impossible.” your smile is still cemented on your face and hazel hasn’t smiled once.
“she will.” her voice is quiet but firm, 100% factual. “shes gonna totally fall in love with you. maybe even on the first date.” god, the eye contact is intense. you can’t bring yourself to look away. your eyes flutter for a moment, trying to comprehend what she’s getting at.
“well…” you’re at a loss. “so what if she does?”
hazel just stares at you, before turning her face away to stare ahead. she’s met with her own reflection in your light up mirror, watching the sight of you sat right up next to her on the bed, staring at her. this is how it should be. she side-glances at you, eyes naturally dropping to your mouth, and then your outfit, and then back to your eyes, her head tilted back a little. she looked really good.
“‘kay, i won’t go.” you shake your head, suddenly filled with the desire to… please her? you wanted to be on her good side. hazel was good to you and… you suddenly… you just weren’t feeling this date anymore. her expression doesn’t change except her brows raising, head still tilted back a little.
“really?” she asks, like she didn’t think her words would actually move you.
“…i… yeah. i don’t know. maybe you’re right. maybe she’s gonna kill me, or something.” you chuckle nervously, feeling fizzles in your tummy and you wasn’t sure why. anxious? not really. nervous? a little. was it hazel?
“yeah.” she continues staring at you, and you feel hot under her gaze. what had gotten into her?
“stop.” you laugh shakily, half focused on sending your date a shitty little excuse via imessage. hazels brows furrow a little.
“stop what?”
“looking at me like that. you got your way.” you pout, throwing your phone to the side.
“sorry.” she exhales, looking away from a moment before her eyes shift back to you suddenly with a smirk. “you totally dropped your date for me.”
“you told me to.” you huff, turning your body to face her more on the bed.
“and you did it… dude i have power over you, that’s crazy.” she chuckles and you stare at her dumbfounded.
“of course you do you’re…” you cut yourself off and she raises her eyebrows.
“wait, i’m what?” she asks, her usual curious self.
“you’re… you. i’d drop anything for you.” you shrug honestly, looking at your hands before back up at her. she stares at you, jaw a little gaped.
“well… yeah… same goes for you…” she stares at your mouth shamelessly. “or whatever.”

ada's spectre, and why i'll likely always feel sad about it
Tumblr media
here is the promised analysis/talk about ada's spectre. going to preface this by saying i obviously don't know the true intent behind everything and her design, i just like to look, giggle and then make sad little observations which just help me love this silly webcomic even more. so if you disagree with me on something– totally ok! i love to learn and i love to see different interpretations.
there's also a few bits i missed out because i wrote this all last night in a bit of a haze, and i cannot be bothered to expand on some of my ideas, especially when it's just stuff like "BROS SO PARANOID AND RAW RIGHT NOW".
anyways, here we go :) @mugcereal this one's for u pookie <3
so i think with ada's spectre, we first need to look at the instance as to how she gets it, because that always makes things way more sad!
to specify, she turns into her spectre at episode 69, and i think it's really sad how she does it. she basically gets a string of roasts from prospero that go along the lines of calling her "conceited" "twadry" and "... and stupid!" – effectively throwing back in ada's face what she believes everyone thinks of her.
(obviously, as a very big and glaring sidenote, i believe prospero is aro/ace or just aromantic so OBVIOUSLY i am not bashing him for this. bros told her so many times that he doesn't want to be with her, let alone to be touched. that is a flaw in ada's character and is a reminder to us on the importance of boundaries!!!!)
so, ada is basically there, collapsed on the floor in a robe– effectively showing the most intimate and private part of herself as an insecure and lonely girl. and that's when she transforms.
i think it's interesting to understand how this most likely links to her life and how she died. so we know she was killed with an axe, most likely by the man she fell in love with and worked for, and how prospero's words in this situation, hurt her just the same as the words before her death. why?
because they remind ada of what she knows and fears she is: just a stupid, fake and cheap person who will never have the same status and respect as the people she pretends to be and surrounds herself by.
i think it's also interesting that she's clutching her stomach/torso here, and correct me if i'm wrong but that could be a potential signal to the part of her that was axed to death (?). no idea if that's a good shout or not but it's what i first thought!
anyways! now we move onto her spectre design!
first of all, her spectre design eats. like just a personal side note, i love it. it's just so gorgeous and i don't care if she's terrifying to some because to ME? to me, she's my gorgeous little pookie who can scream and show people their worst fears and she looks amazing whilst she does it <3
ok anyways, actual design.
to first understand her design, i thought i'd show you what banshee's traditionally in folklore look like!
Tumblr media
typically, they are described in two ways. the first way is a youthful women with long black hair, blue eyes and just super pale. this description could also lose the blue eyes and just keep the black hair– either way the first depiction of a banshee is a super young woman.
this is not the one we're focussing on today folks!
we're going to focus on the second depiction. a hag/ old woman, with red cheeks, a grey cloak and a green dress, often seen to be combing her hair. banshee's throughout folklore are known to wail, scream and cry when a family member had died. to most, the banshee was a sign that death was coming to your household and they are known in myths and folklore as a predictor of death.
now, hold onto the green dress and look at ada's design real quick for me.
Tumblr media
here we see a lot of green, which yay! definitely shows signs it comes from the second depiction. i think, on top of it being a nod to the second depiction, i think it could also be an allusion to something else: jealousy.
green symbolism in media can often vary, from meaning new life, luck and also jealousy. and i think if we take in the things ada screams whilst in her spectre form, such as this from episode 82:
Tumblr media
you see there definitely is some sort of jealousy there, but this isn't something i necessarily want to focus on, it's just an observation i made that may or may not be true!
anyways, to continue, i want to look at ada's outfit when she's a banshee. i'm going to basically be making my notes i took last night look nicer.
(keep in mind that when i wrote these, my ideas were literally bouncing off my brain and sometimes they're a bit contradictory, but i think that's the beauty of my crack theory analysis!)
i think the act of almost showing her bones to the outside, there's a level of rawness to ada we don't usually see. her spectre form essentially gives her the power to scream out her anger, and by seeing her bones it's almost as if to say this is the ada she doesn't show people. this is the ada that she keeps to herself because god forbid anybody love her (because in life and death it's become abundantly apparent to her that nobody does seem to love that ada).
but then, what i thought was also a super cool thing as how the bones almost act like a corset!
then i got sad because i looked at the bows, and because something dawned on me and it made me start to frown. there was a sad realization to me as i looked at ada's spectre design that even in this all powerful form, she hasn't lost her insecurities, they just become more prevellant. because for all of the traditional wrinkles, hag-like appearance a banshee is meant to have, ada barely has any.
obviously this could be in part to character design and stuff, and yeah probably– but let me be sad!
because ada carries her frills and bows from life here because she doesn't want to be ugly, she doesn't want to be this creeping monster who rips apart people. because if she's not got her intelligence or status or anything going for her, she has her appearance and by god she's not going to let that go to waste. so here her spectre form is, a banshee.
so what must ada do? she must takes her frills and keep her insecurities, her fears and her crippling need to be loved.
another aspect which is super interesting is the stitching on her body. one one hand, it could be an allusion to her violent death, suggesting the man she fell in love with didn't just stop at axing her once, but just kept on fucking going (which, you know: fuck you, whoever you are).
but on the other hand, it could be a metaphor for ada's thinly veiled facade she puts on of being a prim and proper lady (which we actually, interestingly enough, see she looses a lot the more time she spends with montresor– opting to take parts of his language like "ain't" and "beggin'". this sort of leads on from previous ideas people have made of ada willing to change herself to be loved. she swaps civility for the wild wild west all for a bit of love).
ada offers up parts of herself in this metaphor. that's what she always does. she offers herself to the rich man she fell in love with, she offers herself up to prospero (again, look at the. side note. bro wasn't wrong for rejecting her he literally can't like her) and she offers herself up to the acolytes and she fucking barks for them (because i'm not over that).
piece by piece, she strips away everything she is until she literally is just skin and bone. and once she's torn herself apart, she needs to stitch herself back together– because it's against the facade she's put on to look so broken and messy. and so she repeats the cycle again, giving more and more until she is literally hanging on by a thread.
Tumblr media
her powers are also super cool. traditionally, as i said, banshees wail when a family member is soon to die/has died, and is often like an omen/predictor of death. so yeah, ada having a banshee scream makes sense. but the whole 'fear itself' is also super cool. i kind of like that she has this– because its sort of satisfying for her, the girl who's been pushed over but still comes running back, to watch as people become paralysed with fear. idk, retribution or whatever.
i'm going to leave you with this not very profound thing i wrote last night (and then just some other mumblings):
i think that although spectres are super powerful and also just a very fantastic concept, they're also fragile. spectres are quite literally the monster inside of you. yet here ada's monster is, and with all her bows and revamped dress of a banshee (or potentially an allusion to her life as a maid) she tries desperately to be anything but that. because to here it's ugly and it's too much of her on display. and with some much of you on display comes the very fear that if you are hated, disliked or something repulsive, you no longer have anything to blame on anybody else. you just have yourself to blame.
Tumblr media
(as morella says here in episode 88).
i'm not saying ada isn't deeply flawed, because she is. she has so much fucking baggage and insecurities that they literally forbid her from doing the right thing sometimes. i don't think she's a good person, but i also think that she has the opportunity to be a good person/ do a semi-good/ non-bad thing, and all she has to do is take it. but i also think it's nice how that's shown in her spectre design.
and, you know, if none of this makes sense, that's also fine!
anyways, yeah. somebody tell me never to make a random analysis at night again because it's a bit of a bitch to translate in the morning.

Guardian of the Temple
König finds you alone in the jungle and decides to hunt you down for some entertainment. Unfortunately for him, the Temple Guard is still in the area.
A/N: Wanted to do something small for @ghouljams fun little König-killing event. This little story is based within an AU I'm working on currently - a crossover between CoD and Dinotopia - weird mix, I know, but trust me, I promise it works. Going to be a series of individual ships set in the same universe with Ghost, Soap, Gaz, Price, and Nikto.
Pairing: Ghost x F!Reader (he doesn't make an appearance)
Warnings: MCD (obviously lmao), Kinda Gorey??, König is a dick who has it coming.
Rating: SFW
Masterlist: WIP
If you were paying more attention than you wouldn’t be in such a situation.
There’s an Outsider hunting you down, tainting the steps of the temple with his foul presence alone. You’ve been working for weeks to restore the ancient ruins enough for you to begin deciphering some of the forgotten runes. Just gaining access to the site had taken months of preparation, and it could all be thrown away because of this one individual.
You’ve heard of him before, some crazy man who’s styled himself “King” after hunting down and killing a tyrannosaurus rex on his own. You’ve heard him lord the achievement over his underlings, having them worship him as if he’s some kind of warrior God rather than a mere man.
You were spotted while collecting water from a nearby river, and the terrifying mountain of a man had been quick to sprint after you, laughing like a complete madman. You’re by no means slow, but the man’s lengthy stride has him quickly catching up to you, his huge hand grabbing you by the back of your shirt.
He throws you to the ground and you hit the stone of the temple hard with a loud yelp. You try to crawl away from him, but you’re unable to get your legs under you before you’re grabbed again. The man, and he’s definitely König from the signature hood over his face, forces you onto your back, pinning you to the floor with a heavy foot to your chest.
“And who might you be, little bird?” His voice is heavily accented, but the amused sneer in his tone is easily recognisable, “the Rainy Basin is no place for such a small creature, did no one tell you what terrible creatures there are out here?”
You grip at his boot, trying to shove it off you, but swiftly giving up when it doesn’t so much as budge. “What, like you?” you snap, scowling up at him.
“Such a feisty thing,” he laughs, pressing down harder on your aching ribs, “are you certain you aren’t one of mine?” He pulls his axe from the side of his belt, resting the edge of the blade against your throat.
Your disgusted face must be answer enough, because he continues, “do you know why they call me, ‘König’, sweet pet?” the cold steel of his blade presses dangerously against your chin, forcing you to keep your head raised and your eyes on his, “it’s because I killed the most powerful beast on this island, that so called “king” of the Scalies, you should mind yourself, girl.”
“Really?” You ask, before adding, “because I heard you were a coward that killed a mother rex just trying to protect her babies.” You can’t help the way you spit it at him, scowling at his ugly hood, “you really think that makes you impressive? Killing mothers and babies to feed your own ego?”
The monstrous man pulls back his axe, readying to separate your head from the rest of your body. You can only imagine how his face is screwed up in rage at the slight to his pride, and you can’t help but smile, for you know this will not be where you die. He swings his weapon down and there’s a sickening crunch as muscle and bone are split apart. But it isn’t you that wails in agony.
It was his mistake, really, for thinking that the rex was the biggest, baddest king in the jungle.
König’s body falls to the side in shock, his one remaining hand reaching up to fruitlessly try and stanch the bleeding where his shoulder now abruptly ends. He had mocked you so ruthlessly for your fear moments ago, but now, the man’s eyes have nearly been consumed by his frantic pupils. His legs kick out, trying to push himself as far away from the threat as possible.
The giganotosaurus tilts its head back, allowing the man’s arm to roll down its gullet without needing to so much as chew once for the entire limb to be small enough for it to swallow it whole. Its eyes slowly track the trail of blood across the floor, before landing on the wounded human in question.
Like a bird playing with an insignificant insect, it takes a step toward him, using its snout to roll the man across the stone, nostrils flaring at the potent scent of iron. You can see König torn between playing dead in the hopes of boring the animal and trying to make a run for it, but it seems to matter little in the end, for the theropod grabs him around the waist with its eight-inch teeth and begins to bite down.
The man screams, and you have the less than pleasant privilege of listening as his agonised cries quickly turn into wet gurgling. The giga’s teeth are designed for slicing through meat to let their prey bleed out, but there’s very little meat on a creature as small as a human, and so it isn’t long before the Outsider’s body falls completely limp.
The lifeless body is dropped to the ground where the lizard begins to crunch at the remains with its hind teeth.
You stand on shaky legs, the adrenaline very quickly causing you to crash. With a sigh, you slowly slide down one of the nearby walls of the temple, resting your head against the cool stone and moss. After a few moments, the giga makes another appearance, his massive head drifting into view. He makes a concerned rumble, nudging at your tiny body when you continue to stay resting for another few moments.
“Thank you, Fireblood,” you breathe, gently resting a hand against the theropod’s snout, “I know you can’t understand me, but it’s much appreciated big guy.” Fireblood settles himself down beside you with a soft huff, allowing you to caress his hard scales.
No doubt Ghost will find this rather amusing; he always did dislike that weird guy.

She remembers the first time she ever met him. She had managed to track Uhtred down to Winchester, had cornered them all at an alehouse as she attempted to persuade them to let her join their group. Seeing him had thrown her off, an obvious sore thumb amongst a group of hardened warriors. Arms lacking the corded muscles of his companions, still skinny in the way men are when they’re only just out of boyhood. His hair had still been cut in the way of a novice and he had looked at her as if he was unused to seeing women, which she was sure he was. This one is no warrior, she had thought, and had gone as far as to use him as an example for them to consider her.
You’ve allowed the king’s bastard to join you, she had said. And he is little more than a monk. Surely allowing a girl would be no different.
Finan had been apprehensive but Sihtric had vouched for her and Uhtred had agreed, their heathen upbringing leaving them more than familiar with warrior women. The monk had stayed silent and she had gone out of her way to apologize to him later that night.
He had looked at her like a startled deer and his eyes had gone wide when she touched his arm but he had managed to swallow his discomfort long enough to say, “You meant no offense, lady. I am already giving them reason to allow me to stay. I will simply have to convince you as well.”
And he had convinced her, though it was not with his martial prowess. It was with his kind heart and subtle cleverness, with the endearing naivete that he quickly grew out of. They had grown close, closer than they had any right to or what may have been proper had they been integrated into normal society. Though they both knew she was the better fighter, she had caught him more than once guarding her. While she slept, while she bathed, keeping an eye on her whenever they faced Danes along the road.
He is no warrior but he is kind and that was all she ever wanted from him.
He is no warrior and yet she had allowed him to fight alone in the battle of Beamfleot.
He is no warrior and she had not been there when he fell.
She turns her head in time to watch him fall, beaten down by the blunt edge of a shield. Though she tries to go to him, she is trapped behind a wall of men, swords and shields and mud and blood making it impossible to reach him in time. She watches helpless as someone else kills the man who takes him down, the body landing on top of him, and can do nothing but hope beyond hope that he is more than just a body laying prone in the mud. When Alfred’s men finally break the line, ending their almost sure slaughter and begin taking down the Danes, she sprints passed them all to reach him. The distance seems longer now that she’s running it, feet squelching with every step as the mud tries to suck her back down, and she swings her axe into the gut of the man who tries to slow her down.
She’s breathing heavily, the cold air burning her throat and making her taste blood, but she throws herself down beside him all the same. The Dane corpse on top of him is a deadweight she’s not sure she can move but her determination wins out and she drags him away, his feet catching on Osferth’s side and turning him onto his back. She discards the body immediately, dropping to her knees and placing two fingers just below his jaw, muttering pleas as she searches for his heartbeat. It’s a feeling she has grown more than used to, the familiar thump of it always serving to calm her down. She has heard it a hundred times before, after they have lain together, when he hugs her close to his chest.
She does not know what she will do if she doesn’t hear it again now.
But it’s there, thrumming under the pads of her fingers. Weaker than she is used to but she is so relieved that it is there at all that she lets out a sob, fingers dropping to curl around the collar of his tunic.

I saw someone ask for this, and I want it as-well so Im writing it
Finnick and reader (y/n) screwing in the arena as a “fuck you” to the capitol.
A final, fuck you
Annie doesn’t exist, quarter quel, no established relationships, just enemies to lovers, sexual tension and an axe to grind
Warnings: cursing, smut, angst, hunger games so yk, violence, mentions of prostitution, porn with a little plot, If you wanna skip there I’ll put a huge red heart right before ❤️❤️‍🔥🩷❣️
Backstory: reader is 23, district 4 won 70th games, family was killed,
“Look at you,” you turn around to see Finnick, and turn away covering your eyes. “You know there are children watching this Odair, wanna put some clothes on? Or leave anything to the imagination?” You say, “ouch, feisty.” He retorts, tossing a sugar cube up catching it between his teeth. “What are you? 12?” You say rolling my eyes at him. God he is such a peacock, and it pisses you off so much. He just thinks he is god’s gift to man. “12 inches deep in your mom.” He says playing into the character. You try my best not to laugh, and Finnick can tell, “you wanna laugh and you know it.” He says, a smirk on his face. “Funny, hilarious actually, it almost made me not want to kill myself.” You roll your eyes, regaining your composure. “Well, we wouldn’t want that now would we, who would be the pretty girl on my arm?” He says eyeing me up and down, “we are wearing the same thing (y/n). You have no leverage here.” He says. “Yes, it seems ive lost my clothes, usually its just you dressed like a whore, i mean if the shoe fits.” You fire back, now it was your turn to smirk, “what? Cat got your tung?” His face falls, he looks, angry? He pulls you in so no one else can hear him. “Look (y/n), you dont know shit.” He whispers harshly, his grip on your arm tightening, his nails digging into the skin, you like the feeling. “So i’ll give you a warning, shut the fuck up.” He finishes before pulling away, his facade back on. “After you m’lady,” he says, a fake smile that looks teasing now, as he holds out a hand to help you into the carriage.
After that interaction meals are quiet, you had quit trying to talk with him, focusing on the task ahead, getting out of that arena, one way or another.
“(Y/n)?” Your stylist, Ines says snapping you back to the present, “what?” You ask. “Never-mind,” she says, waving if off. You’re about to enter the tube that will take you to the arena. “30 seconds remaining.” The speaker says. I step into the tube. “Good luck,” Ines says. “20 seconds remaining.” “Thank you,” you reply, “10 seconds” the tube closes, “5, 4, 3, 2, 1.” You start to move up. Sun hits your face, as your eyes ajust to the light you look around. Water, you’re completely surrounded by water, well, you know who this arena favors. You get ready as the count down starts. “60 seconds” you look around, Beetee and Chaff are on either side of you. “50 seconds” you look at the cornucopia, you’re facing it’s mouth, there are throwing knives relatively close to you. “40 seconds” you look for Johanna, the two of you made an alliance, she is your best friend and if you’re dying you wanted it to be with her. “30 seconds” you spot her, she is already looking at you. “20 seconds,” you get ready to dive into the water. “10,” you’re shaking, “9” This is really happening, “8” fuck. “7” just get to the cornucopia, “6” Dive as far out as you can, “5” get onto the rocks, “4” run as fast as you can, “3” dont trip “2” you’re ready, “1” shit. The cannon booms, you dive in, you pull myself onto the rocks and start running, not looking anywhere but forward. You make it to the cornucopia and grab the knives and the belt. The first cannon goes off, you look for Jo, and spot her, you run towards her, “Fight them off, Ill get Beetee and Wirus!” She yells, you throw your knife, it finds it’s way into a tribute’s chest, cannon, you throw a few more. “LETS GO!” You shout to Jo, “ok come on follow me!” She starts down a strip of rock, you dive in swimming along side her. You all make it to the beach and run into the cover of the jungle.
“Ok wait stop.” You say after a few minutes of running, “lets stop here and talk strategy.” “Good idea,” says Jo. “I think we should play evasive until we have no choice.” Says Beetee. You all agree. After a minute or two of talking Blight talks, “ok, lets keep moving, we’ll walk as far into the jungle as we can.” He says, “alright, take the lead.” You say, motioning for him to start. Jo and you bring up the rear, half defending half talking and joking. “Would you two focu-” blight starts to say but he is cut off. “RAIN!” You scream, tilting your face to the sky, but something is off, Jo notices it aswell, you all exchange confused looks. “Oh shit.” You say with Jo. Suddenly the ‘rain’ turns into down pour, but its not rain, its blood. Thick hot blood. You can barley see in-front of of you. Jo grabs your hand “RUN!” blight screams, starting to run forward, you start to follow as best you can but he hits something. It throws him back. “WAIT WAIT! STOP!” Beetee screams, “its a force field, other way!” He screams, the cannon goes off. “Damn it!” Jo screams, you turn around. Stumbling blind, you trudge through the jungle, only knowing where the others are by hearing their voices. “THE BEACH! I SEE THE BEACH!” Jo screams, and you follow her voice.
You get to the beach around the same time as Jo. You hug each-other, a few seconds later Beetee emerges with Wirus. She is freaking out, you all are covered in blood. As Jo tries to coax Wirus out of the tree line you are checking the surroundings. “JOHANNA!” You hear, you turn drawing a knife, its just Finnick. But you dont put the knife back tho. “FINNICK!” She screams back. He starts running to her. Sometimes you can’t believe they are friends. As you look past, you see Katniss and Peeta, you clutch your knife tighter seeing she has her bow drawn. Johanna starts explaining the situation to Finnick, but Wirus starts getting on Jo’s nerves, who is already stressed out and pissed off. “Tik tok, tik tok,” she repeats over and over like a mad woman grabbing Jo. “OKAY OKAY!” Jo screams pushing her off. “Hey, HEY, LEAVE HER ALONE!” Katniss screams running up and pushing Jo, she draws an arrow. You look around, Peeta, perfect! You draw your dagger and before anyone can react you put him in a headlock, holding the dagger to his throat. “HEY!” You scream, Katniss turns, aiming her bow at you.“Let him go.” She comands, as if she has any authority in the situation. “Leave Jo the fuck alone, we just ran through fucking blood!” You yell back. She fires her arrow, but you dodge out of the way taking Peeta with you. “Shoot it again, I fucking dare you! This time, I’ll move lover boy right in the line of fire, try me!” You scream at her, pressing the knife harder into Peeta’s neck. He puts his hands up in surrender. “Woah woah, calm down.” Finnick says stepping in between the two of you. “Dont tell me to ‘calm down’! SHE HAS A KNIFE TO PEETA’S TROAT!” Katniss screams at Finnick, “How about we all put our weapons down,” Peeta says, pleading to Katniss. “Shut up.” You sneer, moving your knife to tilt his head up. “Ok look, Katniss, she just thought you were gonna hurt Jo, are you gonna hurt Jo?” Finnick asks Katniss, telling her the right answer, “No.” She says, arrow still in place. Finnick exhales, Katniss must realize your too good to be stubborn with. “See, now, (y/n) let Peeta go,” he says. “I’ll drop my dagger, but im not letting him go till she drops the bow.” You drop the knife. “Katniss, will you please drop your bow?” Finnick says, he knows, you’ll kill him, right here, right now, and that’s exactly what he needs to not happen. She drops her bow. “If you try anything I swear to god i’ll snap your fuckin neck.” You whisper in his ear, he nods. You let him go, with hands still in the air he walk to katniss. “Okay, good, we’re all stressed lets just cool off,” Finnick says walking to you. “Im fine,” you say grabbing your dagger. “No your not, your mad and you’re gonna do something stupid.” He says grabbing you and throwing you over his shoulder. “FINNICK! FINNICK WHAT THE FUCK! PUT ME DOWN- I SWEAR TO GOD ILL KILL YOU!” You scream squirming around. “Calm down” he says dunking you in the water a few times before straight up dropping you into it. You stand up, wiping the water from your eyes, still pissed off, just at him. He laughs, “god you know, you look so… cute when your mad.” He says, still laughing. “Oh fuck off Odair.” You say turning away from him. You wash the blood off as he turns and walks back to the beach. Jo joins you, washing the blood off her. Once you are both done yall go back to the beach, sitting together on the sand.
Some time passes, “Im gonna go get water.”you say getting up and walking into the jungle. Really you just wanna be alone for a little. It peaceful until you hear a scream, it’s Katniss’s name, but its not a tribute. “PRIM” you hear her scream in the distance, shit. You try and ignore it, not your circus, not your monkeys. You hear another scream. “FINNICK!” “FINNICK HELP ME!” What? But thats not possible, you’re not screaming. But its your voice. “(Y/N)” you hear him scream back. “DAMNIT ODAIR!” You scream to no one in particular, your circus, your monkeys. You run towards the screams but run, into a wall? But it’s clear, and it doesn’t throw you back like the force field did with Blight, you cant hear any screams anymore. “(Y/N)! Over here!” Jo beckons to you. You walk over to her. “What is this?” You quickly regret asking as Beetee starts going on about some science stuff. “Okay, okay.” Jo says cutting him off. You look to see Katniss on the ground covering he ears as birds swoop in. “Jabber-Jays, DAMNIT, I HATE SNOW! FUCK YOU, CANT YOU JUST FUCKING DIE ALREADY! HOW ABOUT YOU COME DOWN HERE AND WE CAN FIGHT YOU PUSSY!” You scream up at the sky, Jo is smiling, Wirus is mentally gone, Peeta is staring at you like you’ve lost your mind and Beete is just not saying anything. “Finnick flipped out when he heard your screams,” Jo says sitting beside you. Finnick is currently on the ground as well, but he looks up for a brief moment, long enough to see you, and you see some of the worry in his face leave, you look back at Jo but he stays staring at you. You look at Jo, a look of confusion on your face but you know exactly what’s going on because you’ve felt is aswell.
❤️
The hour is up, you run up to Finnick, holding his head, “shit, im so sorry” you say, he straightens hugging you back, it’s strong, and he smells like the ocean. Katniss is worried about her sister, “they aren’t gonna do anything to Prim.” Peeta says. “He’s right ya know, the whole country loves your sister, if they ever did anything to her, forget the districts, there would be riots in the damn capitol. HEY HOW DOES THAT SOUND SNOW? WHAT IF WE, WHAT IF WE SET YOUR BACKYARD ON FIRE? YA KNOW YOU CANT PUT EVERYBODY IN HERE!” Jo screams, waving her axe around. Katniss and Peeta stare at her in absolute terror, its almost funny. “What? He can’t hurt me. There’s no one left that I love.” She says, “im gonna go get some water.” She leaves. “Lets go scout out the area Finnick,” you say. The two of you get up and walk away. You walk for a few minutes in silence before Finnick breaks it. “Im so fucking ma-” but you cut him off, backing against a tree and pulling him with you into a kiss. Its rough and passionate but hungry. “Fuck,” you pant out. “God you’re hot,” he says kissing down your neck. “Wait, what about the Capitol?” You say before he draws a whine from you, sucking on a sweet spot. “Fuck them, now they’ll know how I really feel.” His voice is low and raspy, his eyes filled with lust. You pull his zipper to the wetsuit down revealing his abs and arms and fuck, he might be god’s gift to you. “Is this really, the best, place?” You say in between pants and moans as he peels the wetsuit off your body, grabbing your breasts and massaging them, making you push back into the tree throwing your head back in pleasure. “I dont want to die never having done this with you sweetheart.” He growls into the crest of your neck. “Mhm oh god, me neither.” You say as you feel his bulge against your stomach. On instinct you start to grind on it. “Fuck thats it.” He says, groaning as he throws his head back in pleasure, “please,” you whine, he brings the rest of your wetsuit down and picks you up, wrapping your legs around his waist. You shimmy his suit down the rest of the way, pulling him out. He groans at the contact, “Fuck, you’ve hardly touched me and look at how worked up I am,” he says, lining up with you. “Oh darling, you’re so fuckin wet for me” he coos, running his tip along my slit eliciting a whimper from you as you grab his hair. He pushes into you with a groan. “You feel so good (Y/n)” he says, moaning your name. It sounds so right coming from his mouth. You clench around him and he lets out a loud groan, his nails digging into your arm, you like it, so much more this time. “Fuck, Finn,” you whine out. “Yea good girl, say my name, tell them all who’s making you feel so good, im making you mine (y/n)” he groans, thrusting into you faster and your moaning and whimpering around him, he feels so good, so so good, “so so so good, finn, mhm dont stop.” You whine out, yanking his hair harder, closing your eyes. “Open those pretty eyes for me,” you whine in protest, “now or I stop.” He forces your eyes open, looking into his as he fucks you harder, hitting all the right spots, getting all the best noises. You can feel how close you are, and so can he. “Finnickk.” You whine out, “I know, me too,” he grunts out, moving his hand to rub your aching clit, “yes, right there, please oh god oh god FIN!” You cry out as you cum for him, “fuck sweetheart you sound so pretty, you feel so good.” You whine and your hips buck up trying to get away from the overstimulation, “Finnickkk, please I can’t,” you whimper out, still shaking from your first orgasm, “Im close sweetheart.” He says his pace picking up, his fingers still working your clit. He hits the spot deep in you that has you seeing stars. You moan his name, as a second orgasm hits you, “Oh god Finnick, finnick,” you moan his name like a chant it feels so good, “Im gonna cum (y/n)” he grunts out, his thrusts getting sloppy before he cums inside of you, moaning your name and burying his face in your neck as he thrusts in a few more times. “God, you did so so good sweetheart” he pants out.
You both regain your dignity before turning to face up and flipping off the world. A final fuck you to the capitol.
The end, hope you liked it ❤️
Funny story, as I was writing the smut while my playlist was on shuffle, Ronan by Taylor Swift started playing, so I had to take a break and cry. 😃 so if the smut sucks thats why, it killed my mood. Then my cat came in and needed my attention.

Fixing Skyrim's Daedric Quests
Part II - Clavicus Vile
Honestly this was the most underwhelming Daedric Quest in Skyrim, but Skyrim is by no means unique in this as it's just the most recent in a long line of underwhelming Clavicus Vile quests in the Elder Scrolls franchise. Vile, the god of wishes, deals and dodgy monkey palm style tricks forms a natural counterpart to the Divine Zenithar, god of honest work and trade, but for some reason there isn't a Vile quest that isn't "Go to dungeon and kill X". Skyrim, to its credit, tried to make it interesting with Barbas, but still resorted to "go to this cave and kill this guy."
The whole story of Sebastian, the mage who wished for a lycanthropy cure for his daughter only for Vile to grant him an axe, is a truly boring misunderstanding of what Vile is all about. An axe isn't a cure, not even in an ironic double meaning of the word cure. Any axe, indeed any weapon or spell, can kill a werewolf, but he didn't wish for his daughter to be killed, something he could easily do without making a deal with the devil. There are several ways to cure lycanthropy in Tamriel, death is not one of them. If you have cancer but you die in a car accident you are not cured of cancer, literally the opposite in fact. This isn't a mind bending M Night plot twist, it's bullshit. Not only is a dead werewolf not a cured one, he didn't wish for his daughter to be killed, so there's nothing stopping him from just throwing the axe in the sea and going to find a Glenmoril Witch. Vile gains nothing from this arrangement, and Vile doesn't enter into arrangements that don't benefit him.
A true Vile wish would have cured the lycanthropy in such a way that causes unforeseen consequences that end up killing the daughter, dooming her soul to The Fields of Regret, his realm of Oblivion. The wish would be technically granted, but it backfired horribly. The only thing remotely Clavicus Vile-ish was the big "rug pull" at the end of the quest where he offers you the axe if you kill Barbas, and like, no. No thanks. I have access to better axes, I'm not killing a dog for this *two handed 🤮* one. I never wanted this axe, there is no reason in the quest to even use the axe yourself let alone grow attached to it, unlike Barbas who has now accompanied me all through the quest. This isn't a choice.
Quest: Best Wishes
The quest opener is being moved from Falkreath to Morthal, because vanilla Morthal has no general store. Well, now it does. Compared to all the other stores you visit it will have a unique look, very mysterious and quirky with oddities on the shelves, and the owner will be an eccentric character with a cute dog. For the quest to activate you must have traded at the store a few times and reached a level. On entering, the owner will be distraught and refuse to trade unless you agree to find his dog who has gone missing.
You go on a bit of a dog hunt. Asking around Morthal gets you little useful information. In fact, if you ask certain people, they will say some curious things; like they have no idea who you're talking about, or that there isn't a general store in Morthal at all, "Oh that old place? That closed down when I was a child after old man whatever died"...
You eventually track the dog down outside the city and, surprise, it talks! Barbas explains the situation, that he is the somewhat loyal side kick of Clavicus Vile, who has an offer for you. He also makes it clear, this offer is an invitation only, you would walk away right now if you were wise. Assuming you aren't a pussy, you of course return Barbas to the shop and hear the offer.
The shopkeeper transforms into Vile, in all his jovial Skaafin glory. He tells you about a wish he has recently received, one that he would like your help in granting. There's this would be merchant in the city of Whiterun named Ysolda, who you have likely already met as she is a very popular wifu, she has been a devout Zenithar worshipper for years, but has become impatient with waiting for her hard work to pay off. She really wants to be a trader, and has prayed to Vile to make it so. If you agree to take care of it for him, he will reward you. As Barbas has recommended, you can quit the quest right now. Or...
You head to Whiterun and start investigating Ysolda. It's up to you how the wish gets granted, depending on what you discover about her:
1. She would like to buy the Bannered Mare of her friend Hulda, who isn't ready to sell. So you could ruin the business to make Hulda desperate to sell, but Ysolda would get a ruined inn. Or you could forge Hulda's will and stage an "accident", so Ysolda inherits the inn at the expense of her friend's life.
2. She has done some work with the Khajiit caravans, learning what she can about mercantile skills, but expressing how hard and horrible their lifestyle sounds. Investigating this will lead you to a secret meeting between Ysolda and an Orc. The Orc hands Ysolda a "the goods" but Ysolda complains there isn't enough. The Orc explains how dangerous getting it is. Ysolda doesn't care, she tells him he needs to go get more. If you follow the Orc to Sleeping Tree Camp you'll witness his death at the hands of the giants there. On his body there is an incriminating note, which you could show to the Whiterun guard captain, who will banish her from the city as punishment. Ysolda will spend the rest of her days with the Khajiit caravan, living as a vagrant and exiled from her home, but a trader, just as she wished.
3. As Barbas, who will accompany you, advises, you could warn Ysolda and break your side of the bargain. She believes your story (how else could you have known about the wish?), but depending on your speechcraft and personality attribute - because a fixed Skyrim would obviously have attributes - you either strike the right amount of fear into her that she flees to the temple to seek sanctuary, or you miss your mark and she decides to go check out this shop in Morthal for herself. When she gets there Vile will reluctantly let her take over the store, but if Ysolda repents she will one day become a Priestess of Zenithar, and convert the shop into a fledgling temple.
Just Deserts
When you return to the general store in Morthal it will have transformed into an abandoned ruin.
Any outcome of options one or two will please Vile, he will award you his Masque which will be light or heavy armoured dependant on which skill is higher for you and it will have a powerful speechcraft, personality and price discount enchantment. You also have the opportunity later on to take over and run the shop yourself.
If Ysolda comes to Morthal to take over the store, Vile will be annoyed at you and Barbas for being boring, but will accept that the wish is technically granted and Ysolda, now his devotee, will be spending her afterlife in his realm. You get the Masque but she gets the store ( unless you marry her...)
If you break your deal and save Ysolda, you get a curse; permanent debuffs to speechcraft, personality and prices. The cost of being a hero is high, especially when it comes to the Daedra. (Maybe Ysolda can lift the curse once her temple is up and running, but that will be a while).

You started to get more nervous since you've been running for a while and there didn't seem to be anyone around, you know Perona and Mihawk are good at fighting but there wasn't even any body's around now. Luffy and Zoro suddenly stop in their tracks turning to face something you can't sense "Get back" The two yell at you as Usopp fires a smoke bomb between two buildings. Skidding to a halt along with the girls and chopper a round figure jumps out of the smoke bringing his large axe down on the three boys. "Oh no it Sentomaru" Rin gasps grabbing your arm in fear knowing what always follows that man, taking her hand you run with them over to a building and make them sit down as Chopper joins you wanting to protect you and the eight girls. The three boys jump out of the way avoiding the axe only for a blast of light to head their way, Usopp jumps out of the way just in time before firing an exploding star at a large Pacifista that fired the blast, Its mouth closes as its hand swings through the smoke showing no damage from the snipers attack. "Not only did you take one slave but now you've taken eight more, i order you to hand them over, now!" Sentomaru points at Luffy who growls at him before running forward and throwing punches "Their not slaves" The captain yells as the chubby man dodges the punches before slamming Luffy in the chest with his open palm sending the captain rolling back and skidding along the floor. Usopp fires another exploding star at Sentomaru before running over to help Luffy up and fight the man.
As other Pacifista's arrive Zoro dodges their blasts and cuts their legs and arms before going for the head, but they didn't seem to stop coming. They would rise up from behind houses or just appear out of nowhere trying to blast the three men. Not wanting to sit around you stand up and turn to the girls prying Rin's arm off yours "Stay here and stay hidden, I'll be back" you send them a reassuring smile but Chopper grabs your hand trying to pull you back down "I'll go help, you stay here" The Doctor tries to stop you but you place a hand on his head while holding the gun in your other hand "I know how to take the Pacifista's out. Please stay here and keep them safe" You smile at the reindeer who sighs before nodding knowing there's no stopping you plus just like Usopp your a good shot. Opening its mouth the Pacifista fire's its beam at the swordsman who easily dodges and slices one of robots in two with one swift swing, landing on the floor he pants while putting the third swords in his mouth but a robot behind him starts getting ready to fire. Zoro turns and is ready to block when a gun shot goes off, the bullet hitting the Pacifista in the mouth, it didn't do much damage but it plugged up the hole making its head shakes as the pressure builds up until its head explode. The swordsman turns with a smile seeing you smiling back at him before firing at another one managing to do the same thing, Zoro runs to your sliding and cutting through a robots leg that got too close for his liking, the two of you working together to take out was many as you can, fighting side by side just have you like it.
The fight was dragging on longer than you wanted and with your dress being so long you could hardly move without stepping on it. After firing another shot you growl to yourself before turning to see Zoro land just after cutting a Pacifista's head off and flicking his sword to get a piece of oil off it "Zo, cut this for me will you" You yell out holding up some of your long dress, without hesitation the Swordsman swings slicing threw the pink fabric of your skirt before going back to fighting. After firing another shot it gives you enough time to grab the cut part of your dress and rip the fabric off up to your knees, your legs and feet where covered in bruises and cuts making you stop for a second. Those weren't there this morning or when you got dressed, with the adrenaline running through your veins it made it easy not to feel the pain or weakness in your legs but as you look down at them you can't help shake a little. The sight of you black and blue skin with red cuts caused your body to freeze up, flashes of how you got them came back to you, memories that you wish you could forget. Luffy punches Sentomaru in the face as the heavy man tries to swing his axe again at Usopp who rolls out of the way and ties to fire another shot only for Luffy to yell as he punches the chubby man again this time hitting him in the stomach but to both their surprise it didn't seem to do anything. Sentomaru swings his axe down trying to cut the captains head off but Luffy ducks and kicks up hitting the guy under his chin and sending him stumbling back a bit.
Usopp fires an exploding star aiming for the man, but he dodges and bring his axe down on the sniper it only being blocked by Luffy and his hardened arms trying to protect his friend, Sentomaru pulls his hand back and opens his palm using Haki to hit the straw hat in the stomach sending the Captain and the sniper into a wall. Usopp pants as he tries to sit up and push Luffy off him but stops when seeing the chubby man turning to walk over to where you and Zoro are. "Hay" The sniper yells as Luffy sits up and rubs his head now noticing Sentomaru who sighs ignoring the two his eyes fixed on your frozen figure after ripping the lower part of your dress off. His job is to get you back to the celestial dragons, killing the straw hats is an added bonus. "Get away from her" Luffy yells anger boiling through his vines while pushing himself out the rubble and running over to the chubby man. Sentomaru turns in anger but his eyes widen in surprise when the Captain turns his gear 2 on and pulls back both of his hands "GUM, GUM, Bazooka" Luffy yells making a direct hit on Sentomaru's stomach with his burns hot red palms, sending the man flying into one of the Pacifista's chests, the robot's chest caves in from the force making it tip back losing its balance and crashing to the floor. Snapping out of your shock by a loud crash your eyes travel up to see one of the robots stumble from the ground shaking next to it and fall into another one that tips over as well causing a Domino affect.
Zoro looks behind him to see a very pissed off Luffy before noticing that your not moving, the swordsman puts one of his swords away as he runs to you and grabs you around the waist. A gasp of shock and pain leaves your lips as Zoro runs and jumps to get out of the way only stopping when your both far enough away from the falling and exploding robots that makes the ground under them crack and cave in. Holding back a groan of pain you push on Zoro's arm thats around your waist, feeling the swordsman's hand gripping a sore spot but you didn't blame him, you didn't know it was a sore spot until he touched it so how was he supposed to know. "Zo-ro" You whimper a bit trying to push his hand off your waist after he didn't let you go. "Sorry, you ok? Did i hurt you?" Zoro asks in a panic while putting you down slowly and gently unwrapping his hand from your waist before looking for any sighs of blood. Sitting up you place a hand on his shoulder and give the swordsman a smile "I'm ok, don't worry... thanks for the save" Leaning up you place a kiss on his cheek seeming to make him relax a bit until his eyes travel down to your beaten up legs. Understanding his shock you cup his face to make him look at you, the worried and angry look on his face makes your smile drop but you run your thumbs over his cheeks "I'm fine for now, it doesn't hurt" you try and reassure but it didn't seem to work as his hand lightly rubs over your leg feeling how cold they are along with the cuts and bumps that litter your skin.
Luffy runs over to you two as Usopp manages to get out of the rubble while rubbing his head "That was close, sorry about that" The captain laughs rubbing the back of his head managing to pry Zoro's eyes away form you to make sure his captain is ok. "Thank's for the save Captain" You smile at Luffy before going to grab the gun but stop noticing it's not with you anymore, you must have dropped it when you were either in shock or Zoro grabbed you. Choppers yell and the girls screams gets your attention looking over to see a Pacifista standing up and turning to where you left the girls, its mouth opening getting ready to fire, "No" You yell out trying to get up only to fall back onto you knees due to the pain in your thigh, Zoro and Luffy rush to their aid as quickly as they can watching as Chopper uses Human point making his top half big and muscular while his lower half is much thinner in order to protect the cowering girls behind him. The Pacifista fires as Luffy and Zoro yell out the doctors name only for a person to jump in front of Chopper "Barrier" A familiar voice calls as a large Blue barrier forms in front of him stopping the blast form hurting anyone, breathing a sigh of relief you relax a little and place your hand over your bandaged thigh knowing the girls are safe. Zoro and Luffy come to a stop almost in shock upon seeing the green spiky haired man with spiky teeth smiling at them while his fingers are crossed. "Rooster" Luffy smiles waving his hand at Bartolomeo whose eyes sparkle and shine while tears fall down his face happy that the Captain noticed him.
You can't help but let out a small laugh knowing how big of a fan the rooster is of the straw hat crew, especially your captain but upon hearing hooves galloping up behind, you turn only catching a glimpse of something fast and white run past you. Your hair flows and light dust hits your face as it runs past, its speed making the wind blow around you causing you to cough a little, once your vision is clear you look over to see a man with blonde hair, a white hat with a long, large blue feather attached and a white coat draped over his shoulders. "How dare you try and steal my show" Cavendish yells out in anger standing up on his white horse before jumping up pulling out his rapier and cutting through the Pacifista before pushing off it and bringing his sword down on another that tried to get up. Zoro groans rolling his eyes seeing Cavendish flips off the robots chest and land dramatically swishes his hair and posing as both Pacifista's explode. "Miss Y/N, Mister Luffy, Mister Zoro, Mister Usopp and Mister Chopper its so good to see you again" Bartolomeo calls out running over to Luffy and Zoro with stars in his eyes as he slightly tears up. With a smile you stand up and walk over to your boys. "Thanks for helping out" Luffy smiles at the rooster man who falls to his knees crying at being thanked by the straw hat. Zoro steps closer to you and goes to put his hand around your waist but stops himself not wanting to hurt you again. Luffy turns with a smile only for it to drop at seeing your legs and tired face, with the adrenaline wearing off the drugs in your system where starting to take effect again.
As Chopper and the girls walk over most of them looking confused at the still crying Bartolomeo, Cavendish takes walks over and bows at the lady's "Don't worry my lady's, your safe now" The blonde man smiles holding out a rose to Sakura who blushes deeply. Usopp sighs standing next to the now short and tired looking Chopper placing a hand on his head "How about you sit on my shoulders the rest of the way, we need you rested" The sniper smiles earning a nod from the doctor, Usopp picks the reindeer up and placed him on his shoulders before turning to look at Cavendish flirting with the girls. Noticing Luffy's eyes wonder over your legs you let out a small sigh and take his hand "We should get going" you smile hoping to get back to the sunny, the Captain nods and leans up placing a kiss on your cheek squeezing your hand as you all start to walk "Miss Y/N, are you ok, do you need me to carry you?" Bartolomeo runs up to you only for Zoro to get in between you and the rooster man making him pout a bit "Oh no i'm ok, i can still walk and thank you for the help, you didn't have to come" You smile at him earning another starry eyed look, "Y/N darling your knight in shimming armor will always be there to save you" Cavendish smiles walking up behind you and holding out a rose to you but with a flick of Zoro's sword the head of the rose falls to the floor "Back off pal" The swordsman growls, Luffy notices and laughs a little seeing his first mate a little pissed off before wrapping an arm around your waist.
You jump a little and take Luffy's hand moving it down your waist a bit "Sorry, its sore there" You sigh noticing the worried look on Luffy's face, but he nods at you keeping his hand where you put it holding your hip lightly as you all walk a little faster. Cavendish glares at the swordsman before clearing his throat and grabbing his horses rains "At least hope on Farul, you must be tried" The offer was temping but you shake your head before giving him a smile "As much as i like that offer i think the girls need it more... i hope you can protect them for me... I'm sure they and others will be very grateful and the news wouldn't miss the chance to talk about how great you were helping them" You smile at the blonde man who bows to you before stopping and helping three of the girls onto the horse. You know he wouldn't like it if you just said no so you knew you had to add things onto it, getting to the golden gates you can't help but smile at seeing the large vinous fly traps knowing it was usopp who did this "Nice Job Usopp" you smile at the sniper who smiles wide at you and placing his hands on his hips "The great Usopp never lets anyone down" You can't help but let out a little giggle as Bartolomeo runs over to Usopp starting to praise the Sniper who seems to grow more and more confident. "Don't boost his ego" Zoro groans to himself as Luffy laughs with a large smile pulling you a little closer to him as you wrap your arm around Zoro's "Would you rather him gush over you?" You ask earning a glare from the swordsman and a slight growl but you keep your smile and rub his arm.

Clan of Three - Chapter 8
Tumblr media
Chapter Eight: The Marshal
Plot: A Mandalorian, an infant with a history of the jedi, and a teenager with similar powers with an undiscovered lineage. An unlikely group to travel the galaxy together.
Word Count: 11.2K
Pairing: Father Figure!Din Djarin x Platonic!Teen!Reader
Warnings: fighting/violence, injuries, angst, our first fight with Din, little history time, some wholesome moments
------
An industrial city filled with luxury and wealth to those that live in the safety of the rest in poverty saw the truth of this city. Crime and death lined the streets the second the street lights turned on. A man armored in the metal of his kind his helmet a signal of his kind. The Mandalorians, a small pram holding a child hovers beside him as they walk under the street lamps, and on the other side of the man an orphan of Tatooine with powers to bring any person in the galaxy to their knees.
The Mandalorian sees the wild dogs hidden within the shadows avoiding the light and stalking them waiting for them to leave the light for just a second. Arriving in front of a smaller house he raises his hand knocking and it quickly slides open revealing a dark-skinned Twi’lek.
“I’m here to see Gor Koresh.” He says and the doorman steps aside holding his hand out.
“Enjoy the fights.”
The shouts and cheers grow louder as the three enter the underground fight club, benches filled with people shouting out at the fighters, two Gamorreans wielding vibro-axes as they fight to win. The Mandalorian makes his way to the front row seeing the Abyssin he was meant to me, Gor Koresh. Sitting down in front beside him as the girl takes a seat as well.
“You know this is no place for children,” Koresh says looking at the small child in the pram before glancing over at the girl who could only look over sixteen.
“Wherever I go, they go.” The Mandalorian says and Koresh chuckles having heard the rumors. “So I’ve heard.”
“I’ve been quested to bring them to their kind. If I can locate other Mandalorians, they can help guide me. I’m told you know where to find them.” The Mandalorian states his business as Koresh watches the fight, not all interested in listening at the moment.
“It’s uncouth to talk business immediately. Just enjoy the entertainment.” He says watching the Gamorreans fighting one of them gaining the advantage as the crowd cheers, “Bah! My Gamorrean’s not doing well. Kill him! Finish him!”
Koresh glances over at Mando who wasn’t watching the fight but staring at him, “Do you gamble, Mando?”
“Not when it can be avoided.” The Mandalorian responds making the Abyssin laugh.
“Well, I’ll bet you the information you seek that this Gamorrean’s going to die within the next minute and a half. And all you have to put up in exchange is your shiny beskar armor.” He points at the one fighter that looks to be winning, the bet not in his favor.
“I’m prepared to pay you for the information. I’m not leaving my fate up to chance.” The bounty hunter retorts
“Nor am I.” A blaster fires at the one Gamorrean it falls dead the crowd is shocked many of them fleeing as blasters from Koresh’s associates come out aimed at the Mandalorian and the girl whose hand rest on her blaster. “Thank you for coming to me. Normally, I have to seek out remnants of you Mandalorians in your hidden hives to harvest your precious shiny shells. Beskar’s value continues to rise. I’ve grown quite fond of it. Give it to me now or I will peel it off your corpse.” He mocks him laughing.
“Tell me where the Mandalorians are and I’ll walk outta here without killing you.” The hunter says not caring he was at gunpoint.
“I thought you said you weren’t a gambler…” Koresh retorts reminding him of his earlier statement
“I’m not.” Whistling bird fires from his wrist temporarily blinding Koresh’s thugs. The Mandalorian pushes the child away, the pram closing protecting him as the girl throws out her hands disarming the blasters from the thugs and sending them flying back. The surviving Gamorrean lunges at Mandalorian but misses and crashes on a wooden bench. The doorman from earlier and a Zabrak man grab the Mandalorian to restrain him but he breaks free knocking one of them out the other pulls out a knife and he shoots them. The girl dodges out of the way from a knife headed towards her holding her hand up the knife freezing in place as she whips around sending the knife flying back into one of her opponents. Kicking the black curly-haired alien in the chest making him crash into the benches and she pulls out her blaster shooting him in the chest after pulling the trigger twice.
With his associates either incapacitated or killed, Koresh attempts to flee from the Mandalorian rushing up the stairs and soon the chase begins. Reaching the outside running under the streetlights when his movements are frozen in place, the girl appears in front of him holding her hand out as he is paralyzed in place. She drops her hand and a grappling line wraps around his legs knocking him to the ground. Trying to scramble forward but is dragged back by the Mandalorian who throws the wire over a lamppost hanging him upside down and tying the end on the pole as he sways upside down.
“All right, stop, stop! I’ll tell you where he is,” He begs, waving his hands out, “But you must promise that you won’t kill me.”
“I promise you will not die by my hand. Now, where is the Mandalorian you know of?” The Mandalorian agrees, stepping towards him.
Koresh groans revealing the location, “Tatooine.” The location was familiar to the girl having been raised there.
“What?” The girl speaks up for the first time,
“The Mando I know of is on Tatooine,” Koresh explains and the Mandalorian shakes his head.
“I’ve spent much time on Tatooine. I never saw a Mandalorian there.”
“My information is good, I tell you. The city of Mos Pelgo. I swear it by the Gotra.” Koresh promises the name of the town striking deep in the girl beside the bounty hunter.
“Tatooine it is, then.” The Mandalorian says turning and beginning to walk away the two children follow after him and Koresh struggles in his binds having no upper body strength to free himself.
“Wait, Mando! You can’t leave me like this. Cut me down!”
The Mandalorian glances back at him further away from the light pole, “That wasn’t part of the deal.” Firing at the light darkness covers Koresh and red eyes appear in the dark swarming their prey.
“Wait, what are you doing? Mando! I can pay! Mando! Mando!” Koresh's screams fill the air as the animals tear through him. Their destination is known…Mos Pelgo, Tatooine.
“Cinarin gar tracy’uur,” (Clean your blaster) Din calls out heading towards the cockpit the words of his creed thick on his tongue. Your travels had taken you all over the galaxy trying to find out more about the child and yourself. The information given by Moff Gideon and the Armorer had sent you in a spiral questioning your family and who you were. Din as your newly appointed father to take your mind off those very pressing thoughts began to teach you. You and the child were foundlings, they were meant to be trained until he either returned you to your kind...the Jedis if there were any around or you would come of age. You had only a year until you could decide whether to leave to live your own life or if you wanted to join the Children of the Watch. This meant you would learn of the Mandalorian’s ways, how to think like a Mandalorian, how to fight, and also how to speak.
“I don’t know what cina-ren means?” You call out your pronunciation of the word shaky, you had recognized the last words though. You had learned basic things that seemed relevant to you, blaster, knife, mainly Mando’a of weapons but the more normal words and phrases you were still learning.
“Cina-rin” He enunciates the word for you, “Cinarin means clean. You should always be checking your blaster before a mission. I saw it jammed out there.” Din says as you join him and the child in the cockpit as he puts in the coordinates to Tatooine. Your face flushes with embarrassment he had seen that.
“Fine okay I’ll cinarin it.” You say using the word in Mando’a and you see the look he gives you before facing forward.
“Mir’sheb.” (smartass) He mumbles and you look away from cleaning your blaster.
“What did you say?” You say and he doesn’t look back speaking quickly as the Crest jolt enters hyperspace, “Nothing.”
“Ner gai cuyir y/n. Ni cuy' teh Tatooine.” (My name is y/n. I am from Tatooine) Din says as he watches you try to learn the language.
“N-ner…gaai curiyr…y/n. Ni cuy’ teh Tatooine,” You stumble over some words repeating them back slowly the slight accent of Mando’a slipping away when you say ‘Tatooine’ in Basic. You groan leaning back as the child watched the two of you with interest. Maker this whole language was complicated, “Why did this language have to be so complicated, just saying a word wrong gives a whole different meaning.”
“You just need practice, you can’t just learn Mando’a in a few weeks,” Din says turning back in his seat and you continue mumbling in your seat.
“Easy for you to say you practically grew up on the language. Besides, it’s hard to learn a language when I can’t even see how I should be shaping my lips with that helmet on.” You scoff and silence fills the air knowing you hit a sensitive subject, “I’m sorry…I know how much your Creed means to you.” Din is quiet his hands clutching the controls a bit tighter hearing your comment. He couldn’t be mad at you, for learning a new language and not being able to see his face and how to correctly pronounce the words were going to be difficult. So all he could do was give his best criticism which still didn’t help but he was doing his best as well he had learned Mando’a with other foundlings so it came fast for him unlike you learning all alone.
“It’s fine…” He says looking forward as the ship jolts out of hyperspace to the desert planet before them, “It’s not easy learning a new language..and you’re doing better than most foundlings learning. Your pronunciation is better them some of the most fluent Mandalorians.” His words did cheer your guilty mood the compliment warming your chest. Din could tell it worked as he could feel the confidence and happiness radiating off you as he flew down the open dunes with the occasional Tuskan Raider as they grew close to Mos Eisley landing in Peli Motto’s hangar bay. The ramp opens up the three of you exit the ship ready for your next mission as the pit droids scamper to the ship and you hear the female’s voice
“All right. Hey, hey, hey! Sorry, gang. Come on. You know he doesn’t like droids.” She scolds the droids who make sad chittering noises.
“May as well let them have at it. The Crest needs a good once-over.” Din gives them the all-clear surprise on Peli’s face.
“Oh! So he likes droids now. Well, you heard him. Give it a once-over.” She claps her hands and the pit droids run to the ship starting to work on the Crest. “I guess a lot has changed since you were last in Mos… Oh! Thank the Force! This little thing has had me worried sick. Come here, you little womp rat.” She spots the child in Din’s satchel coming forward grabbing the child and stroking his ears as the child coos,
“Looks like it remembers me. How much do you want for it? Just kidding. But not really. You know, if this thing ever divides or buds, I will gladly pay for the offspring.” The sound of air hissing and you look over seeing the droids tangled with a coil spewing out air, “Hey! Oh, jeez! Watch what you’re doing up there. He barely trusts your kind. You want to give all droids a bad name? Thank you!”
“I’m here on business. I need your help.” Din asks and Peli nods,
“Oh, then, business, you shall have. Care for me to watch this wrinkled critter while you seek out adventure?” She offers and Din refuses,
“I’ve been quested to bring them back to their kind.” Not fully explaining the history of you two. To the child, it looked like he was from a different planet, but to you, it looked like you could fit in here and you did as a child born here.
“Oh, wow,” Peli chuckles and returns the child to Din, “I can’t help you there. I’ve never seen any like it. And trust me, I’ve seen all shapes and sizes in this town.”
“A Mandalorian Armorer has set me on my path. If I can locate another of my kind, I can chart a path through the network of coverts.” Din explains as Peli thinks,
“You’ve been the only Mando here for years from what I can tell.” She says and Din nods bringing up the information you had learned from Koresh.
“Where is Mos Pelgo? I’m told there’s one there.”
“Oh. Boy, I haven’t heard that name in a while.” Peli says rubbing her chin.
“It’s not on any of the maps.” Din brings up and Peli sighs,
“Because it was wiped out by bandits. Once the Empire fell, it was a free-for-all. I didn’t dare leave the city walls. Still don’t.” You agree with her sentiments the second the empire had fallen all hell broke loose resulting in the death of your parents. You were lucky to make it out alive and soon you left the city walls traveling the dunes of the desert planet for a new life.
“Can you tell me where it used to be?”
“Depends who’s asking. You want to see it?” She says before yelling out, “R-five! Bring the map of Tatooine.” An astromech droid rolls over appearing from the office, “No, take your time. Seriously. You just can’t get good help anymore. I don’t even know who to complain to. Let’s go, let’s go. Waiting. Okay. This is a map of Tatooine before the war. You got Mos Eisley, Mos Espa, and up around this region, Mos Pelgo.” She points at the cities on the map of the planet the droid brought up before pointing to space.
“I don’t see anything,” Din says and Peli nods that being the point,
“Well, it’s there. Or at least, it used to be. Not much to speak of. It’s an old mining settlement. They’re going to see that big hunk o’ metal long before you land.”
“You still have that speeder bike?” He asks and Peli nods pointing over outside the hangar,
“Sure do. It’s a little rusty, but I got it.”
The journey to the forgotten settlement had taken them a few days, sitting behind Din as he drove with the child in the bag on the side of the bike. The winds blew across your face, using part of your cloak to protect your face from the sand from getting into your nose and mouth a pair of goggles over your eyes. The dual suns beat down on you though the wind cools you off. Nights spent around a campfire you would make or one night with having encountered Tusken Raiders before they could attack Din thankfully understood them. The night had been quite pleasant as you listen to their stories as Din translated before falling asleep under the stars. Your journey continued through open dunes or large rocky canyons, as you enter a flare desert plain further on the horizon you could see the shape of a town. Din slowly rides through the town the people making their way through the town many giving looks not expecting visitors. Their homes are practically huts as he comes up to a cantina parking the bike as the two of you get off him leaving the child in the pack. The people watch the three strangers enter their town moving to the cantina.
“Din I gotta tell you something about Mos Pelgo,” You say as he enters the cantina you following after him. The establishment is empty only a single bartender there polishing glass to get rid of the dust,
“Can this wait until after we get more information about the Mandalorian?” Din says stepping towards the counter and leaving the conversation as you sigh stepping into the cantina and removing your cloak from covering your face. The Weequay bartender looks at Din as he puts a glass down.
“Can I help you?” He says looking over Din and examining his armor.
“I’m looking for a Mandalorian.” He asks and the bartender gives him a look,
“Well, we don’t get many visitors in these parts. Can you describe him?”
“Someone who looks like me.”
He thinks for a bit focusing on Din before he glances past him and he looks at you his eyes widening. “Y/n…is that really you?” He says and Din looks at you.
“Taanti hey…how are you.” You greet the bartender who rounds the bar he towers over you slightly taking into your appearance with shock.
“How am I? You were the one that went missing, it’s been how long. You had the Marshal tearing apart Tatooine looking for you.” Taanti says and you wince hearing the reference to the Marshal. It had been months since you had been kidnapped and taken from here before you had met Din and this whole journey began.
“The Marshal? Kid what’s he talking about.” Din gives you a look as you open your mouth trying to explain yourself but Taanti cuts you off,
“The Marshal will be looking like you.”
“Your Marshal wears Mandalorian armor?” Din says still looking at you wanting an explanation.
“See for yourself,” Taanti says motioning at the doorway and you both turn seeing the man in a set of Mandalorian armor though scuffed and not as pristine as Din’s was. His figure cast a large shadow from the sunlight outside bleeding inside. The man you were quite familiar with, after all, he taught you everything you needed to know to protect yourself. Cobb Vanth.
“Y/n…” He whispers you can hear the shock in his voice as he steps towards you before looking past you at the other man dressed in shiny Mandalorian armor.
“What brings you here, stranger?” He says entering the cantina.
“I’ve been searching for you for many parsecs,” Din says and Cobb nods holding his hands out,
“Well, now, you found me and you returned my daughter,” You can hear Din’s neck snap over looking at you the shock clear even through the beskar helmet.
“Daughter..” Din’s voice is stiff and Cobb taps his hand on the bar,
“Yes, Weequay, two snorts of spotchka. Why don’t you join me for a drink? I hope this is a suitable reward.” He says grabbing the two cups and the bottle of spotchka. You could feel Din’s gaze burning into your skin as your gaze is glued to the ground.
“Mando-” He instantly cuts you off his voice harsh, “Gar cuyir shev'la” (You are silent) Your mouth snaps shut looking away as Cobb looks at the two of you taking a seat at one of the tables removes his helmet, and adding another shock to Din. Cobb pours himself a drink throwing it back,
“I’ve never met a real Mandalorian. Heard stories. I know you’re good at killing. And probably none too happy to see me wearing this hardware. So… I figure only one of us walking out of here. But then I see the little guy…and you got my kid…and I think, maybe I pegged you wrong.” Cobb says and you look behind and standing by close to you is the child who is looking up at you with wide eyes.
“Who are you?” Din’s voice is cold and sharp. He couldn’t believe the words coming out of this man…this fraud’s mouth. His daughter…his kid. He was your buir and you were his ad. The two of you don’t even look remotely alike and then there was you who wasn’t even trying to reject the words coming out of this man’s mouth. The rage building in his chest. His title of clan leader threaten at the thought of losing a clan member made Din sick to his stomach but also full of rage.
“I’m Cobb Vanth, Marshal of Mos Pelgo.” Cobb introduces himself with a grin.
“No who are you to her.” Din barely glances at you and you felt part of your chest strain. Cobb looks over at you, his face softening looking over you. It had been months and you had already looked so old so mature, not the scrawny kid he knew you as.
“A troublemaker I ran into years ago…took her under my wing and looked after her if she was my own. Orphan no parents so I became one for her.” Cobb explains and your gaze meets Cobb’s fatherly gaze looking at you and Din’s emotions were about to explode.
“Where did you get the armor?” Din grits his teeth as Cobb responds, “Bought it off some Jawas.”
“Hand it over.” Cobb laughs at the comment giving you a look as if he was serious but when you don’t return the sentiments he straightens up rising from his seat.
“Look, pal, I’m sure you call the shots where you come from, but ’round here, I’m the one telling folks what to do.” Cobb rests his hands on his belt and you see Din’s hand twitch beside his blaster.
“Take it off. Or I will.” Din says coldly and Cobb gives him a look.
“We gonna do this in front of the kids?”
“They’ve seen worse,” Din says glancing at the two kids and then back at Cobb.
“Right here, then?” Cobb says as a last warning his hand hovering over his blaster.
“Right here,” Din responds and you felt helpless to stop the impending fight but a tremor shakes the building stopping the potential fight. Cobb quickly walks outside the two of you following after as the klaxons blare an alarm, villagers scurry away from the sands rushing to their homes that are on platforms. Further, in the distance, you can see the sands moving as a creature you had seen before swims under the sands. The krayt dragon goes straight through the middle of the town the sands moving stray items and it disappears under the ground silence filling the air before its mouth shoots out from the ground devouring a Bantha that was drinking water from the nearby trough.
“Maybe we can work something out,” Cobb says looking over at Din who hadn’t expected the monster. The three of you walk through the street as the residents begin repairing any damage, you could feel the looks and hear the whispers as the people of Mos Pelgo recognize the girl who had been practically the daughter of their Marshal. “That creature’s been terrorizing these parts since long before Mos Pelgo was established. Thanks to this armor, I’ve been able to protect this town from bandits and Sand People. They look to me to protect ’em. But a krayt dragon is too much for me to take on alone. Help me kill it, I’ll give you the armor.” Cobb explains and Din nods wanting the armor and to get as far away from this man as possible.
“Deal. I’ll ride back to the ship, blow it out of the sand from the sky, and use the bantha as bait.” Din says and Cobb warns him
“Not so simple. The ship passes above, it senses the vibrations and stays underground. But I know where it lives.” He offers and Din looks over at you before back at Cobb,
“How far?” “Not far.”
Din, the child, and yourself grab the speeder meeting Cobb in front of his home…well yours. The memories of your years alone, two tiring years fighting to survive on this planet with only your wits. You had stumbled upon Mos Pelgo running away from a group of bandits after they caught you trying to steal in Mos Espa. You had escaped from them in the city but with nerves, you stole a speeder and drove straight into the desert. You weren’t sure if it was luck or some meaning for you to stubble upon Mos Pelgo but you had survived the vast deserts. You thought your stay here was going to be short, take some credits and food, then hotwire a speeder and be off again until you were caught by the town’s Marshal. Instead of throwing you in jail or worst, he took you under his wing, and for the first time since losing your parents, you had somewhere to call home. A roof over your head, food on the table, and someone that looked over you..and raised you to be the young woman you were now.
“Kiddo!” Cobb’s voice draws you from your thoughts and you look past Din on the bike seeing him on his modified podracer and beside him a speeder bike that was still in good condition, the same bike you had arrived in so many years ago. “Thought you might want your own ride.” Before Din could counter you’re already off his speeder moving to your own your hands lightly tracing the details. It was probably one of the other things you could call yours, it had been modified and crafted all by your own hands with the help of Cobb and the wisdom your father had told you as a child when fixing smaller droids or tech.
“You kept my bike…” You say looking at Cobb with shock and he nods as if it was obvious.
“It’s a decent speeder, wasn’t going to get rid of it when you returned.” He says and you pick on the wording at the end, he said when not if. He had faith you would come back following your disappearance. The rumble of the speeder from Din makes you look back at the intimidating Mandalorian watching the display his veins filled with disgust.
“We should go,” Cobb says and you nod slinging your leg over the speeder looking feeling familiar as you turn on the bike the engine makes a roar before growing silent with a low hum; a feature you added taking away the normally loud sound of the engine. The bike glides over the sands the dunes passing by you with a flash the wind blowing through your hair and you couldn’t wipe the grin off your face. You were ahead of Cobb and Din being told the general direction as the bike goes over a dune getting some air before hitting the ground and speeding forward. The two men hear the laughter you let out as you ride through the dunes.
“You don’t understand what it was like. The town was on its last legs. It started after we got news of the Death Star blowing up. The second one, that is. The Empire was pullin’ outta Tatooine. There was blaster fire over Mos Eisley kid lost her parents then. The occupation was over. We didn’t even have time to celebrate. That very night, the Mining Collective moved in. Power hates a vacuum and Mos Pelgo became a slave camp overnight.” Cobb says over to Din whose gaze is glued to the girl in front of him. He hadn’t known exactly how you had lost your parents but he was learning more about it. You could have only been twelve when your parents left you. “I lit out. Took what I could from the invaders. Grabbed a camtono. I had no idea it was full of silicax crystals. I guess every once in a while, both suns shine on a womp rat’s tail. I wandered for days. No food, no water. And then… I was saved. The Jawas wanted the crystals. They offered their finest in exchange. And my treasure bought me more than a full waterskin. It bought my freedom.”
Cobb speeds his speeder forward so he could match with you leaving Din behind as he thinks about what Cobb said and the new information he learned. The three of you enter a canyon riding through it when howls echo throughout the canyon making you stop the bikes. Appearing from around the bend is a pack of massiffs the dangerous hunters that can tear apart any man if they aren’t careful.
You watch Din climb off his bike stepping forward as you and Cobb pull out your blasters. He makes a growling noise similar to the massiffs as they stalk closer to the Mandalorian. “What the hell you doin’?” Cobb says as one massiff comes forward and Din strokes the head of it petting it. The shouts of Tusken Raiders as they appear as well and Din speaks Tusken to them signing as well and they respond as well. “Hey, partner, you want to tell me what’s going on?” Cobb asks and Din turns to face the two of you
“They want to kill the krayt dragon, too.”
Seated around a fire the Tuskan Raiders speak to Din as you sat by the fire with the child who watches the massiff laying in the sand beside them. One of the raiders being their chief holds outs out two black melons, you accept the drink having already tried it during your first encounter with them. While the taste wasn’t appealing it was their only source of water so you didn’t complain. Cobb on the other hand looked at the item confused.
“What am I supposed to do with this?” He says and you crack the melon open taking a sip from it the bitter taste hitting your tongue.
“You drink it.” You say and he cracks his open taking a smell leaning back in disgust holding it away from him.
“It stinks.” He says repulsed by it.
“Do you want their help?” Din says to him and Cobb is reluctant, “Not if I have to drink this.”
The Tusken chieftain speaks to Din who translates to the two of you mainly aimed at Cobb “He says your people steal their water and now you insult them by not drinking it. They know about Mos Pelgo. They know how many Sand People you killed.”
“They raided our village. I defended the town.” Cobb raises his voice and you see the Tuskens growing agitated.
“Lower your voice.” Din snaps at him.
“I knew this was a bad idea.” Cobb throws the black melon on the ground and the chief shouts at him in Tusken and you stand up as well with them.
“You’re agitating them.” “Cobb stop it.”
Cobb points at the raiders hissing at them, “These monsters can’t be reasoned with. Sit back down before I put a hole through ya! I’m not going to say it-” He pulls out his blaster as the Tuskens stand up grabbing their weapons. Flames shoot out into the air silencing them as Din turns to the chief speaking to him
“What are you telling them?” Cobb asks and you hold your arm out in front of him from attacking the Tuskens.
“Same thing I’m telling you. If we fight amongst ourselves, the monster will kill us all. Now, how do we kill it?” Din says and the tension is thick and hard for the night to continue as sleep came unease for you with the thought of another fight breaking out. At daybreak, you returned on the speeders and the Tuskens on their Banthas before you reached where the krayt dragon's cave.
Watching from a cliffside as a lone Tusken and his steed ride to the cave. You watch Din listen to the Tusken translating while he speaks, “They say it lives in there. They say it sleeps. It lives in an abandoned sarlacc pit.” He points at the mouth of the pit that is known for sarlacc to occupy.
“Lived on Tatooine my whole life. There’s no such thing as an abandoned sarlacc pit.” Cobb says looking down at the pit and shaking his head.
“There is if you eat the sarlacc,” Din says looking through his macrobinoculars before passing it to you. You watch as the lone raider ties the bantha to a stake, “They’re laying out a bantha to protect the settlement. They’ve studied its digestion cycle for generations. They feed the dragon to make it sleep longer. Watch, the dragon will appear.” Din says. Silence fills the air as the Tusken hollers out to the dragon quickly running away the ground rumbles as you watch the krayt dragon emerges from the sand expecting it to go for the sacrifice but devours the Tusken Raider leaving the bantha retreating into its cave.
You look over at the raiders who look fearful turning to Din, “They might be open to some fresh ideas.” You opine lowering the binoculars.
Drawn in the sand using rocks and bones to create a plan as the Tuskens speak to Din.
“What are the bones?” Cobb points at the very large bones.
“That’s the krayt dragon,” Din says and Cobb points over to the small little rocks beside the bone.
“And those little rocks?” “That’s us.”
Cobb shakes his head in disbelief, “It’s not to scale.”
“I think it is.” You say while you had only seen the mouth of the dragon you could only imagine how long the body was.
“Can’t be. That’s too big.” Cobb says and Din listens to the Raiders making gestures before turning back to the two of you, “It’s to scale.”
“I’ve only seen its head and neck,” Cobb says holding his hand to his head feeling faint at the thought of the large creature they would have to kill.
“It’s bigger I guessed.” You say trying to interpret the Tuskens’ plan.
“Might be time to rethink our arrangement,” Cobb says as Din listens to their plan, and with the small pebbles representing you more are added in.
“That’s more like it. Where are they getting the reinforcements?” Cobb asks and Din looks over at him, “I volunteered your village.”
The four of you ride back to Mos Pelgo Cobb unhappy to be working with the Tusken clan, “They attacked us less than a year ago. Killed half a dozen of us by the mining camp. I’d say I took down about twice as many Tuskens.”
Din looks over at Cobb as you grow closer to Mos Pelgo, “The town respects you. My guess is, they’ll listen to reason.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure.“
The empty cantina is filled with every one of Mos Pelgo, yourself, Din with the child, and Cobb standing in the front of the village. Everyone talks to themselves you can see them glance your way before the recognition crosses their face.
“This here is a Mandalorian.” Cobb calls attention to the crowd and points to Din who steps forward slightly, “You know what that means?”
“We’ve heard the stories,” Taanti speaks up,
“Then you know how good they are at killing,” Cobb says, “Now, this one’s got a problem. I got a suit o’ salvaged armor and the Mandalorian creed says it’s his to take.” The crowd murmurs not appealing that their Marshal losing his armor as Cobb continues speaking.
“But I’ve got a problem, too. A krayt dragon has been peeling off our pack animals, and sometimes, taking our mining haul with it. It’s just a matter of time before it grows tired of banthas and goes after a couple of you townsfolk, or even, so help us, the school.” The crowd grows louder at the thought of the children being hurt, “As much as I’ve grown fond of the armor, I’m even more fond of this town. The Mandalorian is willing to help us slay the leviathan in exchange for returning the armor to its ancestral owners.”
“Well, that settles it.” Someone in the crowd says having a Mandalorian help in the fight would keep their town safe.
“There’s more…” Cobb says and the people quiet down, “We can’t take on the krayt alone…and the Sand People are willing to help.”
The cantina is in an instant uproar all of them shouting insults towards the Tuskens, ”They raid our mines!” “They’re monsters!” “Over my dead body!”
“I’ve seen the size of that thing, it will swallow your entire town when the fancy hits it. You’re lucky Mos Pelgo isn’t a sand field already.” Din speaks up looking over the crowd trying to appease them, “I know these people. They are brutal. But so is the Dune Sea. They’ve survived for thousands of years in these sands and they know the krayt dragon better than anyone here. They are raiders, it’s true. But they also keep their word. We have struck a deal. If we are willing to leave them the carcass and its ichor, they will stand by our side in battle and vow never to raise a blaster against this town until one of you breaks the peace.” The crowd seems hesitant many of them are upset with the idea of partnering with the same people that would raid and have probably killed many of the people they knew.
The meeting ended with the plan for you to prepare at dawn with Tuskens and travel over to the krayt dragon’s cave. Many people went off to their own some staying behind to speak to Cobb or get a drink, but you were surprised to have many people come to you speaking to you.
“You had everyone worried sick when no one could find you, Marshal went everywhere he knew you might run off to.” Milla one of the older women of the town says cupping your face something she would do normally as she scolds you. “You look so old now, you’re not some skinny little thief from before.” She pinches your cheeks and you pull away only to be grabbed by another elder as she holds your arms out.
“Look at all these scars on you, what have you been doing with a Mandalorian?” She gives Din an accusing look from across the room and you finally free yourself.
“It’s a really long story,” You say rubbing the back of your neck and you see them giving you a look that shows they had time.
“Kid, K’olar.” (Kid, come here) You hear Din call out and you look over seeing him standing by the doorway the child in his satchel. You give a faint smile to the elders before slipping past them and coming over to Din.
“Thank the maker I was going to be with them all nigh-hey!” You yelp when he grabs your arm pulling you out of the cantina, it was less busy out here than in there allowing you privacy.
“When were you going to tell me you had somewhere to go back to?” He says and you could feel the anger coming through the modulated helmet.
“I didn’t think it was important… besides we have more pressing things to worry about than this,” You say and you can tell your words were only making him more upset.
“Not important? You have a life here! People who know you…a fath-” He cuts his words short looking away and you pick up the disgust in the word father…was he talking about Cobb?
“You mean Cobb?” You ask and he’s still, “Sure he looked after me but he wasn’t…I mean. I don’t know! Why does any of this matter?!” You throw your hands in the air, sure he took care of you after everything but could you call him your father?
“Because you already have one!” He shouts and silence fills the two of you, the child shrinking back into the satchel seeing the two of you argue. “You have a clan…you have a vod,” (brother) He points down to the child and then to himself, “You have a buir. (father) If you are meant to be Mandalorian you don’t betray your clan.”
“Who said I wanted to be a Mandalorian!” You shout and he takes a step back your words cutting through his beskar, “I had a normal life before all of this, and now I have so many responsibilities and people after me. I don’t even know who I am anymore?!”
“Everything alright.” A voice calls out and the two of you look over to make matters worse it was Cobb standing there, while he couldn’t see the expression on Din’s face he could clearly see the frustration in yours.
“Everything’s fine.” You say pushing away from Din hurrying past Cobb as well, your leg is swinging over your speeder, and before Din could realize you’re peeling away from Mos Pelgo.
“Kid!” Din starts to go after you when an arm stops him from moving forward.
“Let her go, give her time to cool off. You’ll only make things worse.” Cobb says and Din smacks away Cobb’s arm but doesn’t move to go after you only seeing her speeding off into the quickly arriving dusk.
The twin suns set behind you the stars soon appearing in the night sky as it was almost muscle memory traveling through the dunes. The winds whipping your hair back flying past creatures searching for their next meal, quick guidance with the bike through the canyons. Crossing the Mesra plateaus and entering the normally dangerous Jundland Waste the destination you were after had made the trip originally a day’s journey to a few hours. The old hut on top of the canyon came closer stopping your speeder in front of it and climbing off. The place has been abandoned for years since the destruction of the first death star, it was said when you found yourself in Mos Pelgo and words in Mos Elisey as well that a man had lived in this home. Someone from before the rise of the empire… said that he had gifts and properties that no ordinary man could do. The man who lived in this home was rumored to be a knight of the republic…sworn by his religion and oath..he was said to be a Jedi.
You had heard rumors about the jedi from what Cobb and anyone at Mos Pelgo could tell you and the fact that Luke Skywalker was a jedi as well from Tatooine it was only a coincidence that this other jedi was on Tatooine. Cobb had learned of your gifts a few months into meeting him, you had expected him to turn you in or something worse. However, he taught you many things, to hunt, to fight, and just like your father made you keep your gifts a secret. You learned many things about what you were, the jedi and sith, the force, and the republic from him. When you learned the news about this rumored jedi that lived out in the Jundland you had begged Cobb to take you there, but he refused. The area begin dangerous for someone your age and he was Marshal as well, he couldn’t just leave to go searching for a man’s home that probably didn’t exist. You were determined to find it, taking your speeder leaving in the night taking the directions of what the locals said it was meant to be. Any normal person would have gotten lost or worse killed, but you had to thank that feeling for reaching out to guide you until just as you had now stumbled upon the old hut on top of the canyon.
Pushing the door a loud creak from the rusted metal as you slip inside, the lanterns you had left spread across the home, lighting one of them moving around to give light to the whole home. It was small which made sense for someone living on their own. When you had first arrived you barricaded yourself inside so no raiders or creatures tried making their way inside. The place looked frozen in time objects left in place and dust covering the place. Now it had been slightly cleaned up with a small layer of dust given the fact you haven’t been back in months.
You had explored the entire place planning to stay the night before returning to Mos Pelgo, you had expected something more exciting but it just looked like a regular home. It wasn’t until you stumbled across a trapdoor hidden underneath a rug you opened it though struggled at first prying the heavy metal door up. Dust floats in the air the light catching it as you climb down taking in the cellar. There were the normal things, storage of items, the power generator, and a tank for the water but in the corner a large workbench with a chest beside it. Painted with dust your fingers wiped away to reveal the text written in basic and other older languages. Records and personal entries of the Jedi, of their history of them, to the time of the republic and the galactic wars. It was all in the books that you scoured over trying to understand all its histories and secrets and one of the books taught you of certain arts. The light and dark…the jedi and sith..the ways of the force.
That night you created the weapon of the jedi.
The texts this jedi had left to either return to but never did or for someone else to find, taught the ways and the tradition of building their weapon, to create a lightsaber. The chest beside the workbench contained everything the texts described as the ‘parts’ you would need to create your saber. The idea that each lightsaber for the jedi was custom and made by the user made the connection between saber and user even stronger. Finding more lanterns in the cellar to light up the workbench as you spent your night there working. You thought you had an idea what you were doing the instructions in the book beside you as you fused wires, creating the hilt, everything that would be needed. You had almost blown yourself up multiple times with the power cells and other parts but the saber was complete but one aspect was missing. The saber was only a weapon with a crystal inside, said to be a kyber crystal attuned to the force that with the proper energy can power the saber. You felt like a complete idiot, you went through all this for you to not have a crystal. Tossing the incomplete saber back on the table it knocks against your bag and out rolling a small pearl falling off the table. The pearl floats in mid-air your hand held out and the white pearl glows shifting color as you put it back on the table. Grabbing the pearl and examining the shifting in colors, you were gifted the krayt dragon pearl as a gift from Cobb for your fifteen birthday. It shines different colors before staying an orange shimmer. Looking back at texts reading the principles of the kyber crystal you thought ‘why the hell not’ and place the pearl inside the crystal chamber.
The saber is complete after working through the nights and falling asleep at some points. Standing up you hold the saber in your hands your fingers moving to the activator when the sound of a speeder comes from overhead. You freeze hearing the bike stop just outside the home. Leaving the cellar covering the trapdoor and you hear the sound of footsteps drawing closer to the door. You had nothing on you to defend yourself except a small knife and the saber that you weren’t sure was going to work. You weren’t given time to come up with a plan as the door opens and you activated the blade a large howling sound emitted from the blade as you hold it out to your enemy. Both you and Cobb were shocked at the appearance of each other, you weren’t expecting him here you thought it was raiders or tuskens and or Cobb he wasn’t expecting you holding the glowing orange saber pointed at him.
That had been 3 years ago and that secret had been kept between the two of you, you spent any free time returning to this hut to learn more about the Jedi and to practice with your saber. You felt safer keeping the objects here than in Mos Pelgo where they could be discovered or stolen by raiders. Opening the trapdoor and dropping down your lantern lighted the room and the workbench had been relatively clean except for dust. Moving towards the large metal chest you hold your hand out and it’s moving to the side and hidden in the wall is a small box. Kneeling grabbing the box you lean against the table opening it. Inside holding the books you had kept from and underneath an object wrapped in cloth. Pulling out the object and leaving the books in the box unwrapping it. The weapon looked as pristine as it did when you first constructed it, the open view of the pearl as it shimmers orange under the lantern. It melds in your hand, the weight distribution, and style exactly how you preferred. The saber and its user…perfect for one another.
The blade makes a howling sound igniting the orange blade it highlights your face. A low humming sound fills the air before you feel the presence of someone with you.
“y/n…” A voice whispers out and you whip around to the sound blade held out in front of you looking into the darkness to find no one there. “These are your first steps.” The voice echoes out in the room and you look around trying to find a ghost coming up empty. The blade retreats into the hilt and you clip it to your belt, grabbing the box holding the texts and the lantern going over to the ladder, glancing at the workshop before climbing out of the cellar and leaving the home putting the box in the bag attached to your speeder you climb on setting off back to Mos Pelgo. The home goes out of view as the ghost of a man watches the speeder fade over the horizon he crosses his arms his robes flowing with his movements as he turns disappearing into the hut.
The moon was high in the sky it was late at night when you return to Mos Pelgo your speeder quietly cruising through the town before you park the bike in front of Cobb’s home. Avoiding the main door moving to the back of the home finding the window cracked open as you push it further, tossing your bag inside you climb inside landing on the ground silently. Your room was in the same condition as you left it that night. Your few extra clothes lay on the dresser your bed unmade but it looked like an ordinary room, nothing of your items left. You didn’t have anything to call your own, except what you had on your body or in the bag. The sound of footsteps makes you freeze until you hear a voice,
“You should get some rest Mando, Y/n is fine where she at,” Cobb says and your heart cracks slightly. You had been gone for hours and while you expected everyone to be asleep he was still awake. Your mind goes back to the fight and the words spoken on each side.
“I’m fine worry about yourself.” Din spits back and you move closer to your door pressing your ear against it. You hear Cobb step away moving towards his own room but pausing turning back.
“You care about her deeply I can see that…” Cobb speaks up and Din makes no response, “I care about her too…but she deserves a life outside of this. But I’m not the person who can provide a better chance for her…she’s someone special.” It’s quiet outside and you hear Cobb says his farewell retreating to his room you step away from the door sitting down on your bed.
You are far more important to me than anything in the galaxy. I know more about you than you know about yourself…you have a much more important role in this than you think you do. Information I know about you…your family…your bloodline can shift the roles. That can alter your dear Mandalorian’s Creed.
Tatooine may be where you were born but your blood, that is not. Features old but familiar…qualities of those from Mandalore.
Their words ring deeply in your head. What about your past made you so important? Sure you were force-sensitive but that was it, what were you that made you so important to Moff Gideon? Then there were the Armorer’s words, not a child of Tatooine but features of someone from Mandalore. You had no way to understand this information and you had no one to ask about your family, except Moff Gideon and you weren’t going anywhere near him.
Those thoughts plagued your mind until sleep pulled you under and your thoughts went silent. Dawn came quickly the sound of people outside woke you up. Sitting up in bed you rub the sleep out of your eyes and you hear shouts and the distinctive language that is the Tuskens. Looking out into the hall seeing neither Din nor Cobb in the home you go to the fresher doing your business and fixing yourself up. Returning to the room you grab your bag slinging it over your shoulder, holstering your knife and blaster you see your saber resting on the small table beside your bed. Clipping it to your belt you move out of the house seeing the people of Mos Pelgo moving munitions and explosives to the Tuskens who were strapping them to Banthas.
Din and Cobb stand watching the interaction of the people and the raiders, it was tense between them all. Both sides have lost people to each other so working together would be hard.
“Think it’ll work?” Cobb asks looking over at Din who scans the area.
“It better,” Din says watching one resident passing a shell to a raider, “Joining forces is their only hope.” They see the raider’s grasp on the explosive slip it hitting the sand.
“Hey! What are you doin’? That’s explosive. Are you trying to blow the whole place up?” The man yells at the Tusken who makes a response back that angers the villager more, “What? Is that what you want?”
Din and Cobb move to diffuse the situation when they see you slip in between the two arguing people. “Take it easy. It was an accident, okay?” You say looking at the villager before turning to the Tusken, “I’m sorry for him.” You sign very shaky Tusken but it seems it understands grunting before grabbing the shell. You can feel stares on your back you look back to see Din and Cobb watching you before you move to grab your speeder.
After loading the weapons you all with the Tusken Raiders and townsfolk travel towards the cave of the krayt dragon. Reaching the ridge that overlooks the cave, you all watch as a lone Raider moves towards the cave stopping and kneeling resting his hand against the sand before turning signing to the chieftain who speaks to Din.
“What’d he say?” Cobb asks as Din translate.
“He says it’s sleeping. If we listen carefully, we can hear it breathing.” While everyone tries listening in you could feel the vibrations of the ground deep in the sands rumble with each inhale and exhale it takes. Din signs to the Tuskens before facing you all. “Let’s get to work.” The Tuskens and townsfolk start working on the plan while the three of you with the chief watch, the child resting in the bag on Din’s speeder.
“The Tuskens say the belly is the only weak spot, so we have to hit it from below. First, we bury the charges at the opening of the cave. Then, we wake it up. We have to get it angry enough to charge. Once it’s far enough out and the belly is above the explosives, you hit the detonator.” Din says pointing out at the large horseshoe-shaped pit they dug out that was going to be filled with enough explosives that should kill it off. Jo comes over to Cobb handing off the detonator,
“Careful, Marshal.” She says and Cobb nods accepting the device, “Thank you, Jo. And you stay safe.”
The townsfolk and Raiders stand in the open sands at the cave their weapons and defense ready while you, Cobb, Din, and the child watch from the ridge.
Three Tuskens approach the cave the tension high as they make war cries summoning the dragon to awaken. They quickly flee the cave as the ground begins to shake underneath you all and appearing from the sand is the krayt dragon it lets out a roar rushing forward to attack. The Tuskens fire their ballistae which pierces the krayt’s hide but it’s no use as it begins to retreat into the cave.
“Dank farrik, it’s going back in. It’s retreating.” Din says as the Tusken tries pulling the creature further out to no avail.
“I’m going to hit it.” Cobb’s finger rest above the large button and Din shakes his head,
“No, wait. We only have one shot. We’ve gotta get it out.” The townsfolk and Tusken fire their blasters and hurl objects in an effort to lure the creature out. The raiders pull on the ropes to further bring the beast out when it roars vomit spewing from its mouth and you watch as it hits the raiders their bodies burning from the acid killing them.
“Now?” Cobb asks as the people of his town and the raiders run away as the krayt begins advancing further out.
“Not yet. It’s gotta come out further. Almost, almost.” The creature moves further out before being right above the explosives, “Now!”
Cobb ignites the explosives a loud explosion fills the air as the krayt dragon falls back into the sands it grows quiet as the settlers and Tusken approach the blast site to find the remains.
“I don’t think it’s dead.” You call out when nothing appears to be dead,
“Me either,” Din says as a large tremor shakes the sands and emerges from the top of a hill the rocks destroyed falling as it roars spewing more vomit on the Tuskens and settlers.
“It’s picking us off like womp rats. Let’s get after it!” Cobb says moving to his speeder grabbing his helmet and his blaster while Din grabs his rifle.
“Din!” “You stay with the child.” Din points at you quickly taking off with Cobb towards the mountaintop. Looking through the binoculars seeing the two of them shooting at the creature narrowly missing and consuming them as they fly back down onto the sands with the villages.
“This ain’t doing a thing!” Cobb says as they look around for the krayt that disappeared back into the mountain. The creature appears from the sand the two of them shoot at it,
“Just keep shooting. There he is.” Din says firing his rifle reloading and looking over at Cobb, “I’ve got an idea. Get its attention.”
His viewfinder drops in front of his helmet as he aims to fire a rocket it flies hitting the creature in the eye it screeches before turning and heading straight towards them. “I got its attention! Now what?”
The sound of a speeder kicks the sand up as you slide off it letting it rush forward the bike explodes in the creature’s face making it screech louder moving towards you faster.
“Kid!” Din yells his orders for you to stay with the child quickly thrown out the window.
“I’m not just standing aside while you fight this thing,” You yell looking over at Cobb and Din, “Cobb you still have that detonator?” You say coming up with a very shitty plan.
“Take it! What’s the plan?” Cobb passes it to you as you clip it onto your belt, you pull out your blaster firing at Cobb’s jetpack while holding your hand out. Cobb is sent flying into the air as Din’s rifle rips out of his hands into yours.
“Kid?!” “Ni'm Ni ceta Din.” (I’m sorry Din) You say shoving your hand out and his jetpack malfunctions sending him up into the air as well. Flipping the switch arming the explosives on the bantha steed that was tied up. The stake pulls from the sand and you hold your hand out holding the rope from letting the bantha from escaping as the creature draws closer.
Din and Cobb crash into the sand both of them standing quickly looking over right at the moment the krayt dragon swallows you and the Bantha whole disappearing underground.
“Y/n!” “Kid!” Both men scream out as silence fills the air. Din felt his heart get torn out and obliterated in front of him. He still couldn’t process how quickly you have been ripped away from him.
The settlers and raiders look around shocked at what they just witnessed when a small rumble vibrates the sands as the fight is not over when the krayt rips through the sand high in the air and it lets out a screech, appearing from the mouth you’re holding Din’s rifle electrocuting the monster as you sling the rifle onto your back, running up the practically vertical incline you throw yourself out of the mouth slamming your hand against the detonator. A large explosion underground sends a massive earthquake through the sands and rocks as the dragon explodes. You pull your saber from your belt igniting it and digging into the rocks as you slide down the rock it slows your rapid descent down the mountainside. You hit the ground rolling to release the momentum as you stand saber held out in front of you, as you’re covered in the green saliva that sticks to your body. A pin could drop as they look at this girl who finished off the krayt dragon but what drew all their attention even Din’s was the glowing saber in your hand.
The thought quickly left the rest of their minds as the townsfolk and Tuskens cheer, shout and war cries over the victory as you wipe the saliva from your face flicking your hand to the ground. Cobb and Din come over to you as the Tuskens make quickly work beginning to carve the creature for the meat and other resources. You lower the saber it retracting into the hilt as you clip it onto your belt. Din steps forward and you already start apologizing,
“I know I shouldn’t have done that but there was no time to explai-” You’re cut out and pulled into his chest as he holds your head close to his chest not caring the saliva was getting on him. This surprises you and Cobb as well who feels like he’s intruding on a moment. Din felt his breath stolen from him and quickly given back that he wasn’t sure how he was standing. You were real…you were in front of him.
“Ni vor entye gota'la par ner ad's oyay” Din mumbles so quickly that you could barely pick up any of the words he rushed in Mando’a. Din holds one hand on your upper back the other clutched within your hair though it doesn’t hurt you. You had expected him to be yelling at you scolding you for your actions but here he was hugging you as if his life depended on it. He pulls away holding your face quickly scanning over for any injuries. “Are you hurt, are you alright? Kid!” His voice shakes you out of your thoughts and you nod and his shoulders sag in relief.
“I thought you would be mad..?” You say.
“I’m more glad that you’re alright to be mad at you right now.” He says and you nod, you would get that scolding later but right now he was still riding that adrenaline of seeing you safe. He looks down at your belt and you follow knowing he was looking at the saber. You pull it off your belt holding it between the two of you, “I’ve never seen anything like it.” He says and you let him hold the saber looking over the details and seeing the open chamber showing the pearl inside.
“That’s a..”
“Krayt Dragon Pearl…yeah,” You whisper as he returns the saber to you, “I’m sorry about everything I said yesterday. I should have just told you everything from the beginning-”
“It’s fine kid,” He holds your arm making you look up at him, “What matters is that you’re alright.” You nod and he pulls you into his side the two of you watching the Raiders dig through the dragon before pulling out a similar pearl though this one is much bigger, almost the size of your head. Din could finally settle his rapid beating heart knowing you were safe back with him again.
Din places a large block of meat onto the side of the speeder bike the child eyeing a hunk of meat with hungry eyes. You stand beside Cobb who is stripped of the armor that is tied to the speeder.
“Sorry, I didn’t have time to explain.” You say and Cobb shakes his head resting a hand on your shoulder though quickly removes it feeling the saliva that coats you.
“It was risky, you’re lucky you made it out alive.” He says and you nod watching Din strap the final things to the speeder. “Well, I guess this is it…” He says and you turn to look at him.
“You think I was going to make you stay at Mos Pelgo? You got a larger purpose than that kiddo. And I’m sure you have someone who is going to raise you well.” He says he tried to sound strong but you could feel the hurt of knowing he was truly losing you. “You stay safe out there you hear me, Y/n.” You throw your arms around his shoulders pulling him into a tight hug which he doesn’t reject holding onto this last moment. You pull away and he swipes at your face a tear you hadn’t realized had fallen.
“Make me proud kiddo,” He says a smirk on his face and you nod moving towards the speeder as Din comes towards his side, “You keep her safe you hear me,” Cobb warns him a final warning to the Mandalorian and Din nods looking over at you smiling at the child stroking his ears.
“I always do.” He says before looking at the armor, “This was well-earned.”
Cobb nods holding his hand out, “It was my pleasure. I hope our paths cross again.”
Din accepts the hand firmly grasping it, “As do I.”
Din climbs onto the bike you following after him as Cobb watches you all, “Oh, and you tell your people I wasn’t the one that broke that.” He points at the jetpack with a grin as Din turns on the speeder. With a final wave, you’re set off riding away with Din and the child, together remaining a clan of three.

Every skeleton's reaction to a human next door neighbor just coming into the kitchen of his house and taking his lunch out of the fridge with intentions to eat it. (the food container has his name on it)
Undertale Sans - He's too in bewilderment to react honestly. What? As the guy leaves with his food, Sans is wondering if he dreamed everything or if that really happened. Also, he's sure that the food container has 2-month-old spaghetti in it, he wouldn't recommend not to eat it.
Undertale Papyrus - "EXCUSE ME? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE?" As the neighbor keeps walking anyway in his kitchen, Papyrus runs in front of the fridge and t-poses to scare them away. That's his fridge! "PLEASE EXPLAIN YOURSELF THIS INSTANT!" Papyrus doesn't want to be rude, but the silence is starting to make him feel uncomfortable. He eventually picks up the neighbor, carries them to the door and pushes them outside, locking the door behind them.
Underswap Sans - He lets them do what they want, but when they're going the other way around to leave, Blue is blocking the way in his police uniform, looking not very happy about the intrusion. You're gonna have to explain yourself at the police station dude.
Underswap Papyrus - He's hiding on the couch, shaking like a leaf. There's someone in the house and they're eating everything in the fridge! He doesn't know what to do! Very discreetly, he calls Blue for help, who just asks him to intervene. Honey goes to see the man and lets go a very weak "stop you can't do that", but the neighbor doesn't listen and he's not brave enough for this, so the second the guy turns around to look at him, Honey teleports to Blue's police station to hide under his big brother's desk lol.
Underfell Sans - He's growling, really not happy, trying to scare the intruder away. The neighbor barely acknowledges him, which pisses him even more. Red tries to push them on the floor, and suddenly the man jumps awake, looking as confused as he is. Oh. They were sleepwalking. Well that's not a reason! Red kicks them out.
Underfell Papyrus - He asked the man to stop twice, but that didn't stop them. He whistles his cat. A very pissed-off Doomfanger suddenly attacks as the guy is clearly too close to her food. Edge watches the show, so proud of his baby girl. That's for sure forcing the neighbor to run for their life out of there.
Horrortale Sans - As soon as the neighbor opens the fridge, Oak closes the door on their finger, growling angrily. He doesn't like intruders, but intruders stealing his food is even worse. You have five seconds to explain before he goes to fetch his axe to show you how thieves are welcomed in his house.
Horrortale Papyrus - He's mad as well! He paid for the food, it's expensive! He growls, defensively, and snatches the food back from the man's hands, protecting it against his chest. Get out of here! You won't like what will happen if you keep testing his patience. You don't fool around with food in this house.
Swapfell Sans - He throws the TV remote behind the guy's neck instinctively, knocking them out. They couldn't even talk. Maybe don't intrude the house of the captain of the Royal Guard without an invitation? Nox is fearing an attack now, and he's going to be jumpy for a few days, unsure how the man even entered.
Swapfell Papyrus - Stealing Nox's food, he wouldn't have care. But that's his Chicken McNuggets you're holding in your hands right now and he's going to kill you if you try to take them from him. Rus blocks the way, a hand leaning to you to give you only a chance to return them to him. If you refuse, don't cry for what will happen. You did that to yourself.
Fellswap Gold Sans - There is no chill in that man. You're intruding on his house, he's going to break both your knees and torture you for hours to understand what you're doing here and what are your intentions. I'm not sure what you expected honestly. That was quite stupid.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He walks into the kitchen, sees the man, walks out of the kitchen, and goes to hide in his closet. Yeah, he's not dealing with that. It's too early.

KNY Hashira God! AU!
Chapter 1: The start
Shit, shit, shit. Those were the thoughts racing through Tanjiro’s head as he carried his sister, Nezuko, on his back through the snow-filled hills.
After the slaughter of his family, and finding Nezuko as the sole survivor, almost fatally wounded and unconscious, Tanjiro’s heart swelled as he felt the younger sibling stir on his back.
“Just stay still, Nezuko.” Big brother’s going to get you to safety.” Tanjiro’s voice whispered to her. “Just stay still.”
Aggressive yelling and growling came from Nezuko as she wrestled off Tanjiro’s back, and pounced onto him.
“NEZUKO! WHAT’S GOTTEN INTO YOU!” Tanjiro yelled as he put a hatchet in her mouth to lodge it and buy him time.
Though it didn’t work, and all the wrestling made them fall off a ledge. When his vision cleared, he could see Nezuko on top of him, tears coming out of her eyes. He also saw a deep pond, one wrong move and they’d fall in and drown. Oh god. This situation couldn’t get worse, could it?
Yes, yes it could, and somehow it did. The lake started shifting abnormally.
The waves got bigger, and bigger, and one of them pulled Nezuko into the water. The younger sibling was trapped in a bubble of air, under the water. Before Tanjiro could say anything, though, something else came out of the water.
The ‘‘something’’ was apparently a someone, and he looked godly. With pale skin, ocean blue eyes, and a half red, half green and yellow checkered kimono, so light and dry it looked like he never came out of the water, Tanjiro’s mind was racing. How? Since when? He’s heard of gods, and paid his respects, but never met them.
“Pathetic. Look at you, trying to save a demon.”, The man spoke. His voice was dull, devoid of emotion.
“Please, you must understand! She’s good inside! I know it! Please, Spare her! I’ll find a cure, and fix her, just spare her, I beg of you!”, Tanjiro exclaimed, on his hands and knees, only talking faster as the air bubble that entrapped his sister got smaller.
“QUIT YOUR PATHETIC GROVELING! DEMONS ARE DEMONS, NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES! EVEN IF YOU BELIEVE SHE’S A GOOD PERSON, HOW IS YOUR DEAD BODY GOING TO FIND ANYTHING!” The once null god’s voice was now full of expression.
“Don’t beg, don’t give in to sorrow. You’re too young, enjoy your years. I know what it’s like. Your soul is far too pure.” Thought the god, as he stared at the speechless and now crying red-haired boy.
The air bubble got smaller, and Tanjiro had to think. Fast.
The axe, still in shape, was lying right beside him. With newfound strength, he pushed himself up, and started throwing rocks at the deity.
“That won’t work. You can’t kill a god. Worst you can do is hurt us, a small amount-” His voice was dead now. Back to what it was before.
But this time, he didn’t get to finish his sentence. An axe came straight for his head. It all became clear now to the shocked god. While he was throwing rocks, he got behind a tree, and secretly threw the axe. If he was a human, that could’ve killed him.
And while he was distracted, that means the demon girl could have-
Too late.
“GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!” Nezuko broke free from the air bubble, just as the mysterious god knocked Tanjiro unconscious. The now furious girl lunged for Tanjiro, and despite the god’s best attempts, he failed to stop her from getting there.
But instead of killing him, she stood there, and protected him.
Nothing could compare to the shocked look on the god’s face, as he saw the scene unfold.
Maybe, just maybe, these kids could be good.
Maybe they had a shot.
They were different, to say the least.
They were special. They sacrificed themselves for the other person, and had trust in each-other.
Reminded the god of the people he used to know. Remembrance flooded through his veins, but he didn’t have time for that.
“Go see a man named Sakonji Urokodaki when you wake up.” He said, to a dazed and confused Tanjiro, and a very angry and protective nezuko, who was too busy protecting to hear or understand.
“Tell him Tomioka Giyuu, the water god, sent you.”
All he got in response was a growl from Nezuko, and a nod from Tanjiro, but that was enough. He knocked both kids unconscious, and gave them one last glance.
“Rest well.” He said, as he slowly and quietly walked to to the middle of the pond, embracing the water as it swallowed him back up into the depths of the pond, and after he dissapeared, The sibling duo slept peacefully in eachother’s arms, holding eachother for heat, as the bitter winter air and snow surrounded them.
They were both alone, yet not forgotten.

Jaune FMK Weiss winter willow
Jaune: FMK Schnee’s
Jaune: Okay… This is actually a rather simple choice, choices for once…
Weiss: Simple?! You’re choosing between me, my sister, and my mother, and the choices is rather simple?!
Winter: Now now, Weiss. First, lets see what his choices are, then we can complain about them.
Willow: And, what every they are are better than the hell I have dealt with at the expense of him…
Weiss: Fine… But you better watch it, Jaune, or else!
Jaune: Okay…? Well to start off: Marry, Winter.
Weiss: What?!
Winter: Oh really~?
Weiss: Why are you marrying her?!
Jaune: Well… She has height, beauty, and curves. Men, such as myself are attracted to those things.
Winter: I do poses all of those, and more dear sister~!
Weiss: And, because of that you chose my sister over me?! And, what do you mean men are attracted to those kind of things?!
Jaune: Genetics.
Weiss: Genetics?
Jaune: Yeah, woman with, Winter’s, ‘hour glass figure’ tend to have high…high fertility rates…
Weiss: What?! You want to breed my sister?!
Winter: You what?! Why ypu…?!
Willow: No no, lets see where he’s going with this.
Jaune: What! I want to have a family! People look for such things when they want to have a relationship. In fact, Winter, do you want to have a family of your own some day?
Winter: W-Well yes I would… A-And, after getting to know you… I-I wouldn’t mind having a family w-with you…
Jaune: See! Even, Winter wants a family! That’s why I marry, Winter. She beautiful, smart, elegant, and like me wants to have a family too! So I could see us having a family together, a big family. Not as big as my family, but a family nonetheless.
Winter: How big is, Jaune’s family?
Weiss: Seven sisters, and himself. Only one pair of twins.
Winter: That poor woman!
Willow: Or, damn lucky~!
Winter: Mother?!
Willow: What? To have that many kids means they did it a lot. Even we, your father, and I unfortunately did it multiple times. So just imagine how viral of a man your husband is~!
Winter: But, mom, it’s just a game, we’re not actually getting married!
Willow: Yet~!
Winter: Y-Yet…?!
Weiss: So, I guess you’re gonna fuck me, and kill my mom then?
Jaune: Actually I was going to fuck your mother, and kill you.
Willow: Yes!
Weiss: WHAT?! How could you say that?!
Jaune: I am a hormonal teenager, and your mother is a thic milf, who has lived the definable of a loveless marriage! This is the bases of so many cheap quality porn films, so of course I want to fuck your mom!
Weiss: But, my mom?!
Jaune: Hey! You stuck it to your father by throwing him in jail! I’m gonna stick to him by sticking it up your mothers ass!
Weiss: YOU’RE GOING TO DO WHAT?!
Willow: Mmmmh~! I can already imagine it; My fingers running through his short golden locks as he uses his body as he pleases. Him ravishing my body, molding my body to his shape. Him claiming me as his, and his alone. Ohhh~! Just what this lonely old woman needs~!
Winter: Mom, you can’t be serious…
Willow: You father was a ‘pump, and dump’ man… who left me thoroughly unsatisfied. Mr. Arc definitely doesn’t appear to be such a man. So just imagine, what it could be, what it will be~!
Winter: B-But, are you sure it would be like that?
Willow: Well… word from the grapevines says it is like that…
Winter: What grape vines?
Willow: So, how about I have the first run with him. After that, and I know how good he is. We can both take him together for your first time.
Winter: T-Together?!
Willow: Just think about it dear. There’s no rush.l for you to make your decision. That is, until you need it~!
Winter: I-I-It…?!
Weiss: So why am I getting the ax?! What did I do?!
Jaune: You said no… Months ago… In fact you slammed a door on my face to make your point clear to me.
Weiss: Eh?
Jaune: So, I’m going to pick the two that I have a chance with, than the one who said no to me.
Weiss: B-But, What if you do have a chance with me… N-Now?
Jaune: Eh?
Weiss: You’ve grown up, I’ve grown up, were both different people then we were back then. So, don’t you think there is a chance we might be able… to become something more that what we currently are…?
Jaune: …
Jaune: Outside of the game, I think there is a chance for all of us to be more than just friends…
Weiss: R-Really?!
Jaune: But, this is MFK; You’re dead little lady.
Weiss: Shit!
