The act of consummation for the Seelie royal line after a marriage is one of varying importance. The main goal for the current ruler is, as it generally is with royal families, to produce an heir.

Since the Seelie differ a bit in their expectancies of royalty, as in the current ruler is generally expected to sleep around to ensure their chances due to fae’s difficult in conceiving, it is not exactly required for the royal to marry someone with the biological ability to create an heir with them. So, several factors that effect how much it is pushed for the ruler to consummate their marriage and keep up the attempted heir-creating:

If the royal already has children predating the marriage (this is admittedly a rare one)

The number of other available family members to pass the crown to should the ruler die without issue (also very rare, siblings aren’t really a thing because of the aforementioned issues with conceiving)

If the royal spouse isn’t compatible for child-bearing (in which case the focus just shifts to urging the ruler to sleep with others who can)

Etc. Etc. Of course, ultimately, no one can tell the ruler what to do. Aur’s father was rather notable for having taken no lovers after his marriage to Aur’s mom. The Council can absolutely be very annoying about it though.

in honor of 4chan exploding, I want to remind you all that they used to do “raids” on Tumblr.

they tried to flood the popular tags with gore and porn. this was when Homestuck was at its peak, so they were a target too. (side note: tags barely functioned at all at this point so trying to make them useless was like throwing a molotov into an already burning building but try telling that to 4channers)

but the Homestuck fandom was ready and countered by flooding the tag with weirder, more explicit Homestuck porn and gore.

to the point that the trolls themselves got weirded out, fucked off, and never attempted a “raid” again.

everyone moved on but I stayed there because that is one of the funniest fucking things to happen on this website.
