Skincare is a personal and evolving process, as what works for one person may not work for another. It's important to pay attention to your skin's needs, be cautious of potential allergens or irritants, and gradually introduce new products into your routine to monitor their effects. Additionally, a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep, can also contribute to overall skin health.

Tumblr media
disclaimer i am NOT a dermatologist so to create this post i did LOTS of research and i'll link all of my sources at the end of the post. i just wanted to kind of put everything that i found in here so i hope its helpful 💕🗒️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HOW TO DETERMINE UR SKIN TYPE ;
wash ur face with a gentle cleanser, pat dry and wait for about 30 minutes. if ur skin appears shiny throughout then u have oily skin, if ur skin appears tight/flaky then u have dry skin.
if u notice a slight shine on your nose and forehead then you have normal skin. if you have a combination skin type, then the skin will get oily around the t-zone.
INGREDIENTS TO LOOK FOR ;
for skin with acne -> salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, sulfur and mandelic acid.
for dry skin -> lactic acid, hyaluronic acid, ceramides and glycerin.
for pigmented skin -> mandelic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C, and arbutin.
INGREDIENTS THAT U SHOULD NOT MIX ;
mixing retinol and vitamin C causes irritation, mixing vitamin C and glycolic acid results in over-exfoliation, mixing AHA and retinol causes extreme dryness.
INGREDIENTS THAT U SHOULD MIX ;
hyaluronic acid + ceramides = repairing skin barrier. niacinimide + salicylic acid = healing acne. retinol + niacinimide = collagen production.
GLOWY SKIN TIPS ;
use a cleansing balm to cleanse ur face to remove all the impurities from ur skin
use serums to hydrate ur skin
lather on moisturizer, dont put too much to the point where ur skin cannot produce its own oils, but you MUST moisturize
apply sunscreen everyday, not only on ur face but also on ur neck and hands
face masks 1-2x a week
get enough sleep, drink enough water, and steer clear of overly processed foods
SKINCARE DOESNT STOP AT UR CHIN ;
its important to take care of the skin on ur neck for SO many reasons because skincare doesnt stop at ur chin. ur neck reflects the first signs of aging, and its most susceptible to sun damage so show it some love!
use the same products that u use on ur face on ur neck also, moisturize ur neck and always apply sunscreen, lastly, use some retinol to build collagen.
HOW TO APPLY RETINOL ;
when applying retinol, use a pea sized amount. avoid application around ur eyes and the openings in ur nose, and use retinol in ur night skincare routine only.
HOW OFTEN TO USE SKINCARE ;
retinol should be used nightly (1-2x a week for beginners). hyaluronic acid should be used (2x a day). salicylic acid should be used (1-2x a week). sunscreen should be applied daily, no need to apply it at night and if u can, you should reapply it every 2-3 hours. vitamin C (1x a day in the morning).
SERUMS FOR UR SKIN-TYPE ;
for oily skin use -> salicylic acid, niacinimide and mandelic acid.
for dry skin use -> hyaluronic acid, ceramides and lactic acid.
for normal skin use -> vitamin C, glycolic acid, and retinol.
for aging skin use -> peptides, retinol and vitamin C.
for acne prone skin use -> salicylic acid, retinol, and niacinimde.
for combination skin use -> mandelic acid, niacinimide, and glycolic acid.
WHAT TYPE OF FACEMASK IS BEST FOR YOU ;
cream masks are good for all skin-types and it soothes and moisturizes. clay masks are good for oily or acne prone skin and it absorbs oil and controls shine. charcoal masks are good for oily or acne prone skin, and it deep cleanses and unclogs.
sheet masks are good for all skin-types, it nourishes and hydrates. enzyme masks are good for all skin-types and it gently exfoliates and brightens the skin. bubble masks are good for all skin-types and it hydrates and soothes.
gel masks are good for all skin-types and it provides a cooling effect. exfoliating masks are good for all skin-types BUT if u have sensitive skin then exfoliating masks are not for you. exfoliating masks remove dead skin cells and debris.
HOW TO LAYER UR SKINCARE ;
in the morning (cleanser + toner + hydrating serum + vitamin c + moisturizer + sunscreen) in the evening (double cleanse + toner + hydrating serum + retinol + moisturizer)

Bleach Headcanons: Skincare
Who’s the skincare expert and who uses just soap and water?
Tumblr media
Jushiro Ukitake:
He doesn’t believe in flashy skincare, thinking it needs to be convenient, gentle and affordable. Think of brands like Cerave, Cetaphil, and La Roche Posay. He’ll probably have a trusted cleanser he’s been using for years (centuries?), a reliable serum, maybe retinoid based (gotta use something anti-aging at this stage) and a good, hydrating moisturizer (illness makes his skin dry and he hates looking that way).
Byakuya Kuchiki:
Can and will only buy the best of the best. A skincare snob. Even if there’s an amazing drugstore brand, he refuses to use it. SK II, Tatcha, and La Mer are all you’ll find in his bathroom cabinet. Of course he follows the 7 step Korean skincare routine. Cleanse twice, toner, essence, serum, moisturizer eye cream. Adds a sunscreen if he plans on going out. He will not compromise his routine for anything, so be prepared to wait for him as he goes through this process everyday, twice.
Renji Abarai:
He’ll pretend like he doesn’t do any skincare but he has his little stash of items he uses for self-indulgence. He enjoys wearing face masks (thanks to Rukia), which he applies after using a cleanser that’s trending, like from Tula or Drunk Elephant. The man somehow has balanced skin so he’ll use an everyday moisturizer like the Clinique Moisture Surge.
Kensei Muguruma:
He uses his body wash as face wash, and whatever body moisturizer he has on hand he uses on his face too. What’s the point after all? It’s skin. As long as it’s clean and not cracking, there isn’t a problem.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi:
He creates his own skincare but it’s kind of questionable. He claims his skin can tolerate quite a lot, so his skincare always has heavy amounts of acids in it; glycolic acid, salicylic acid, ascorbic acid. Top this off with a heavy dosage retinol. Does it work? We may never know from all the makeup he uses on his face. At least he removes all of it before sleeping (?).
Kisuke Urahara:
He also makes his own concoctions, but in a much less dramatic way than Mayuri. Grows his own ingredients, like oranges for vitamin C, mint for salicylic acid, and carrots for retinol. Think of his products like a  clean, organic skincare line that he wouldn’t sell to anyone unless he’s happy with it himself. He rarely buys commercially available products but the one thing he will spend his money on is sheet masks, they’re convenient and he honestly finds them tedious to make on his own.
Shinji Hirako:
He may not show it, but this man is very self conscious about his appearance. He has a mix of both popular and indie skin care brands. Think Belif, Youth to the People and Drunk Elephant. He probably regularly cleanses and uses a moisturizer, maybe something with vitamin C in it, since he can’t have people seeing the dark circles under his eyes.
Ichigo Kurosaki:
Essence? Toner? Serums? Isn’t a cleanser just soap? Give him some bar soap and a CeraVe moisturizer. He doesn’t have time to figure this shit out. There’s people that need to be saved and stuff.
Rose Otoribashi:
Yes, he knows the difference between a toner and an essence. He also thinks essences are a gimmick. Give him a balancing cleanser for his oily skin, and a toner with some salicylic acid in it to further help the oil. Add a vitamin C serum and a lightweight moisturizer and he’s ready to rock.

✸ ꒰ morning routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🤍 Jia starts her mornings drinking a cup of water or coffee on an empty stomach, this can help to boost your metabolism and detox your body. I would recommend to drink water rather than coffee, since this could have some negative side effects.
Next step is to say some affirmations in front of the mirror, saying affirmations like 'I look so pretty today' or 'my skin looks so healthy' or simply being kinder to ourselves can ease stress, allow us to face difficulty more courageously, and feel more content and confident!
Now it's time for skincare, Jia emphasizes on having a healthy skincare, for this you will need to create a routine based on your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, normal or acne prone) and your skin concerns (black heads, bumps, irritation, scars, etc.), please make sure to consult a professional before using anything on your face! Now Jia usually cleanses her face with a foam cleanser and then use toner, a moisturizing ampule, moisturizer and sunscreen! She makes sure to apply the products on her neck too.
After skincare it's time to get dressed, while we wait for the products to absorb! Jia is a really fashionable girl, make sure to have fun with the textures, shapes and color combinations to make the best outfit and boost it using accessories like hats or sunglasses, don't forget to get a matching bag and shoes too!
Time for makeup! Jia's daily makeup consist of BB cream, mascara, eyebrow pencil and lipstick, but if she's shooting something she will add contour, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner and highlighter to the routine!
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ study routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🎀 When Jia goes to her Chinese classes she pays attention and does activities in her book, she also practices writing random things like her name! She memorizes vocabulary and practice a little with her friends in the same class.
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ workout routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🦢 Jia recommends to work out at least for 20 minutes per day! She usually does simple waist or legs exercises while standing up looking at her phone or watching TV.
Also she goes to Pilates classes so you can try to do a 20 minute Pilates workout video like this one.
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ shower and self care routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🩰 To boost your self-esteem Jia says that we have to at least take 2 days of the week (Saturday and Sunday) on really taking care and spend time with ourselves.
First detangle your hair using a hairbrush, then hop on the shower and use shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask to treat your hair. Then wash your body using a shower gel and a body scrub. Jia uses a soothing gel, thermal water and a body lotion to moisturize her body after shower, she massages the products on her skin to relax her muscles. After 30 minutes, she dries her hair with cold air. After, you can trim your split ends or take care of your nails if necessary.
As a part of self-care, do chores like doing laundry or washing the dishes so you can start relaxing on a tidy place (you can also light an scented candle). Also, Jia takes her vitamins for her hair and overall health.
Now it's time to enjoy our hobbies! Having hobbies help us with both our physical and mental health, plus having our alone time makes us more comfortable with ourselves and help with self -discovery, Jia haves a good set of hobbies that she spends most of her time doing like oil painting, doing DIYs, watching dramas like insider, taking care of her dogs, cooking and baking, playing video games and golf!
Tumblr media
✸ ꒰ night routine ꒱⋆ ࣪.* ࣪.⋆
🌷 Finally, Jia spends her night taking care of her skin! First she washes her hands, the uses a cleansing oil or milk, then she uses makeup remover on her eyes if the cleanser didn't take off her eyeliner for example, then she uses a foam cleanser and toner to finish cleanse her skin. After she uses a hydrating mist and ampule, a dermatologic treatment, sheet mask, lip balm and moisturizer (remember to apply it on the neck too!) after she uses a gua sha to massage her face.
as a part of skincare, make sure to sleep at least 8 hours everyday and drink enough water to wake up with perfect skin!

Hello! I love your blog and would like to ask for your advice. I want to look like an elegant, expensive woman. However, I am having a hard time applying makeup and setting up a skin care routine. Do you have an tips or resources on how to wear makeup elegantly and care for one's skin (for those new to makeup and skin care)?
What are the basic products needed for a dewy, classy make up look? Do you have any tutorials?
What are the basic products needed for healthy, minimal skin care routine?
Thank you for reading this ask! Have a great day!
Hi love! Sharing some of my tips below:
Skin:
Always use a disposable cloth when washing your face: Regular towels store bacteria and can cause breakouts too easily. These facial wipes from Amazon are my holy grail.
Wear sunscreen daily: Yes, even when you spend all day indoors. UV rays can interact with your skin through windows, too.
Niacinamide, Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid, & Tea Tree Oil are among the few skincare ingredients almost everyone should consider incorporating into their skincare routine.
Learn the correct order to apply the products in your skincare routine: Cleanser, Toner, Serum, Eye Cream, Spot Treatment, Moisturizer, Sunscreen (or Retinol/Skin Oil at night).
Remember: From a dermatologist's perspective, your face starts (or ends) at your nipples. So, ensure you're cleansing, exfoliating, and applying sunscreen daily to your neck, chest, and décolletage to keep your skin smooth, youthful, and well-hydrated.
Vaseline is a great (affordable) alternative to traditional eye creams.
Sugar scrub your facial hair for a more gentle alternative to waxing (Combine sugar, lemon, and water). Laser hair removal, especially under your arms and your arms/legs is life-changing.
Follow up a warm shower with a dry brush and coconut oil for smoother, firmer skin.
Always apply a hydrating lip balm, mask, or Vaseline, hand cream, and moisturizer to your feet before going to sleep.
Layer complementary scents. Ensure the scents of body wash, lotion, and perfume work well together and don't clash.
Makeup:
Learn your skin undertones and educate yourself on color theory (I can create a short ebook/PDF if you want some more educational content on these types of topics – I write about them for a living!).
Test any foundation, concealer, or face powder on your wrists, too.
Don't forget to color-match your bronze and blush: They can appear orange or muddy if you don't find a product with the correct shade or undertones for your skin type.
Invest in products that go on your face, brow products, and eyeliners. Great mascaras and lip products are easy to find at a drugstore or relatively cheap (I suggest Covergirl and NYX, respectively).
Apply concealer in a triangle; don't dot it around your eyes for better coverage.
If you have oily skin (or it's humid outside), apply powder before your liquid/cream products. Set them again with a light powder to lock the color in.
Apply mascara from tip to base for the best lashes of your life: One coat on the tip, another from middle to tip, and the last coat from base to tip.
In a pinch, use a fragrance-free moisturizer and a Q-tip to remove excess makeup (no more raccoon eyes).
Use a light nude or white eyeshadow underneath your brow to make them appear more defined.
Apply face powder under your eyes to help the eyeliner on your waterline last longer.
Create a simple daily makeup routine formula: 1 skin coverage (foundation/concealer), 1 skin color (a favorite blush or bronzer), brows, mascara, an eye-definer (eyeliner or shadow), and a signature "your lips but better" lip shade (1-2 shades deeper or lighter than your natural lip color): This formula provides you the basics, so you never have an excuse not to put yourself together for the day (5-10 minute routine here).
Discover your day-to-night hero product: Always keep a slightly deeper lipstick, a smoky eyeshadow, or liquid liner in your bag to transition your day look into the evening with one portable product.
Hope this helps xx

Night Skincare Routine 🌙
Tumblr media
A night skincare routine is essential for maintaining healthy skin as it allows your skin to recover, repair, and rejuvenate while you sleep. Here's a basic night skincare routine to follow <3
Makeup Removal/Cleansing
Start by removing any makeup using a gentle makeup remover or micellar water. Ensure all traces of makeup are thoroughly removed from your face.
Cleansing
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, etc.). Gently massage the cleanser onto your skin in circular motions and rinse with lukewarm water. Exfoliation (2-3 times a week)
Exfoliate
Exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Use a chemical exfoliant (like AHAs or BHAs) or a gentle scrub. Be cautious not to over-exfoliate, as it can irritate the skin.
Toning
Apply a toner to balance your skin's pH levels and remove any remaining impurities. Toners also prepare your skin to better absorb the products applied afterward.
Serums/Treatments
Apply targeted serums or treatments based on your skin concerns. This could include vitamin C serums for brightening, hyaluronic acid for hydration, retinol for anti-aging, or niacinamide for pore refinement. Pat the serums gently onto your skin.
Eye Cream
Use an eye cream to moisturize and treat the delicate skin around your eyes. Dab a small amount with your ring finger and gently pat it around the orbital bone.
Moisturizer
Apply a nourishing night cream or moisturizer suited for your skin type. Night creams tend to be richer and provide intense hydration. Massage it into your skin in upward motions.
Face Oil (Optional)
If your skin tends to be on the drier side, you might consider applying a facial oil to lock in moisture. Choose oils like jojoba, rosehip, or argan, and apply a few drops, pressing them gently onto your skin.
Lip Care
Don’t forget your lips! Apply a hydrating lip balm or treatment to keep your lips moisturized overnight.
Additional Tips
Sleeping on a clean pillowcase can also contribute to healthier skin. If you're using any prescription treatments or specific skincare products, it's best to consult with a dermatologist for personalized advice.
Consistency is key in skincare routines. Stick to your routine for a few weeks to see noticeable improvements in your skin.
Remember, everyone's skin is unique, so it's essential to tailor your skincare routine based on your skin type, concerns, and any sensitivities you may have. If you're unsure about certain products or steps, consult a dermatologist or skincare professional for guidance.

mommy ur so pretty!!! Makes me wanna kiss u even more!!!! What are ur makeup/skincare tips??? I gotta know
Also can I be 🌸 anon?
Luv u 💗🌸
Mommy would love your kisses so much you can kiss me as much as you want 🤭 and of course you can be my anon welcome baby💓
Trust me my skin isnt this flawless the filters kinda smooth it out 😔 but for my skincare i double cleanse every day even if I don't wear makeup because I wear sunscreen everyday. And then for the rest I try to see what my skin needs that night. I have dry sensitive skin (but it's prone to clogging 😔) so i love using toners. Usually, I layer two, and then I use serums based on the routine I'm following that day. Then I use a good moisturising cream. As for ingredients my skin loves niacinamide and salyslic acid (toners). On the days I'm using a chemical exfoliant I keep everything so basic, just double cleanse, use acid toner and moisturise. I also love masks a lot. Sheet masks every 2 days is truly life changing, just make sure the masks are suitable for daily use. I guess that's all I can say for skin care. I'm also still learning a lot as well😣
For makeup, I can talk about it for houuurs so I have to know what you really want to know so that I can be more specific. I personally like alternative make up styles and douyin makeup. I noticed (for my skin) skin prep doesn't really work, it makes my makeup look so patchy. So I just use a good sunscreen as a base and keep applying my makeup. I've tried quite a few sunscreens but imo the best one esp for makeup is the Isntree Sun Gel. It's so lightweight my skin eats it so well and my makeup never looks patchy or oily. I dont like foundations they feel heavy on my skin so I either use tints or just a concealer :( If you don't have a color corrector for your eyes just use a reddish lipstick i used to do it like that and it works. If you like to put on eyeliner make sure you put a puff on the back of your hand (or fingers, whichever part of your hand touches your face) to prevent any lifting or patching. Make sure you spray some kind of a setting spray between layers to smooth out and blend in the products, I use the ones from Mac. For shimmers and glitters I suggest you use asian brands. These are all I can come up with now like I said makeup is endless for me I could go on for hours so ask me more I'll tell you more <3

If I was going to recommend a skin care routine for dry/combo sensitive acne prone skin this is what I would recommend. Not sponsored I just think these products do good things, they’re all recommended to me from a licensed dermatologist. As always do your own research and experimentation;
MORNING AND NIGHT CLEANSER : Naturium Niacinamide cleansing gelee 3%. It has Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C , it’s formulated as a gentle cleanser for sensitive skin. It’s 5$ for the mini and 18$ for the large it’s available at Target in the US. It’s cruelty and fragrance free, dermatologist tested.
It claims Naturium's Niacinamide Cleansing Gelee 3% gently dissolves impurities. Leaves skin feeling soft & smooth . Helps balance skin, leaving it feeling comfortable, not dry or stripped. Cruelty Free, Fragrance Free, Dermatologist Tested . Paraben Free, Vegan, Gluten Free
TONER/EXFOLIANTE: I would recommend the pixie by Petra glow tonic to go exfoliating pads with 5% glycolic acid, aloe Vera and ginseng.
Glycolic acid is a gentle chemical exfoliant that doesn’t irritate the skin in the same ways BHA/AHAs can, Glycolic acid tones and exfoliates the skin for brighter more even skin tone, clearer pores and less acne. Aloe and ginseng help to calm irritated skin.
Packaging claims: These pre-soaked pads tone, brighten, hydrate, and gently exfoliate. Skin looks clearer & feels smoother. The ultimate travel-friendly, gentle skin renewal. Formulated with 5% Glycolic Acid. Suited for all skin types . Alcohol-free and Hypoallergenic, Not tested on animals. Paraben-free
They are 18$ at target
MORNING SERUM: the Naturium Vitamin C super plus serum. It’s formulated with Vitamin C, Retinol, Hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide, and Salicylic acid. Making this a super serum for acne, brightening, acne scars, discoloration, fine lines, hyper pigmentation fine lines and wrinkles.
It’s 26$ at target
NIGHTTIME SERUM: Any Niacinamide serum I personally recommend the Good molecules Niacinamide serum. You can get it at Ulta for 12$
AT NIGHT ONLY: Retinol, retinol has many benefits including anti aging and anti acne, post scar treatment, hyper pigmentation, and brightening. It promotes healthy skin turn over to clear up troubled skin.
The best beginner retinol is CeraVe Resurfacing retinol serum. It’s 19$ at target
You use a pea sized amount on your face and neck after your face has absorbed the serum. Wait until the retinol has absorbed before moving on to your moisturizer.
Only use retinol at night because it’s very reactive to sunlight and can cause irritation.
MOISTURIZER: I recommend the cetaphil redness relieving night time moisturizer for day and night. This is good for redness and dryness even if you have oily skin.
CETAPHIL REDNESS RELIEVING NIGHT MOISTURIZER: Specially formulated for redness-prone skin to provide continuous hydration that helps reduce the appearance of redness due to dryness overnight . VISIBLY IMPROVES SKIN TEXTURE: Rehydrates dry skin, leaving it feeling soothed and balanced. EYE CREAMS: depending on what you want or your concerns are this is skippable till your 18-20 then you should definitely start using an eye cream. You use them day and night.
Dark circles - CeraVe under eye cream repair for dark circles and puffiness. Eye cream for dark circles and puffiness. Suitable for all skin types. Hyaluronic acid to hydrate and retain the skin's moisture. Fragrance-free & hypoallergenic. Non-comedogenic (won't clog pores). Moisture eye cream - Naturium Multi-peptide eye cream. Naturium's Multi-Peptide Eye Cream helps smooth the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. Moisturizes & hydrates. Cruelty Free, Fragrance Free, Dermatologist Tested. Paraben Free, Vegan, Gluten Free.
It’s 16$ at target
SUNSCREEN: non negotiable you need to be wearing sunscreen! No one is immune to the sun’s harmful rays no matter what your skin tone is! Not to mention you do all this skin care work for it to go to waste by not protecting your skin. Especially when using actives like vitamin C and retinol!
Use sunscreen in the morning, nothing lower than 30spf , spf can only go to 50 no matter what packaging claims and no, the spf in your moisturizer or foundation is NOT enough.
Use three fingers worth of sunscreen!
My favorite is the Hawaiian tropic silk hydration weightless face sunscreen spf 30. The fragrance is non irritating to sensitive skin and doesn’t leave a white cast. It leaves a nice natural silky Demi matte look to the skin.
WEIGHTLESS FACE SUNSCREEN FORMULA feels as if it's barely on. SPF 30 FACE SUNSCREEN gives you 12-hour moisturization. WON'T CLOG PORES — Hawaiian Tropic face sunscreen is hypoallergenic and oil free. Chapter One
Hi guys! Welcome! I feel like it's only appropriate to start this blog off with some skin care. However today we aren't going to just talk about products because before we can decide what's best for your skin we need to know your skin type. There are three major skin types, oily skin, dry skin and combination skin. Some might say that acne prone skin is another type but that's up to debate. Oily skin can be described as skin that secretes an excessive amount of the body’s natural oils. Dry skin is the complete opposite of that because it secretes little to no natural oils leaving the skin very dry. Combination skin is a combination of the two skin types meaning some parts of the skin are oily (usually the t-zone) and some parts are dry (usually the side of your cheeks).
My oily|combination skin tips;
Any product with high amounts of niacinamide and salicylic acid works wonders for your oily skin.
Make sure to wash your face both day and night.
Stick to a proper skincare routine.
Use fragrance free products.
Drink lots of water.
Try your best to avoid oily foods in your diet.
My dry skin tips;
Wash your face once a day preferably at night only.
Try to stay away from stripping cleansers and bar soap cleansers.
Incorporate products with hyaluronic acid , ceramides and glycerin into your skin care.
 Use a moisturizing cream and not moisturizing lotion.
Drink lots of water
Try to keep a fresh diet
Stick to your skincare routine
How to apply your skincare in order.
Cleanser- You should always start your routine with a clean base. So picking a cleanser that's suitable for your skin type is important because that's the first line of action in your routine. For the dry skin girlies as I recommended, only wash your face at night so in the morning to achieve that clean base you can cleanse with micellar water and a cotton pad.
Toner- Toner removes any last traces of dirt, grime and impurities stuck in your pores after you wash your face. When added to your daily skincare routine and used regularly, it can have a major positive impact on the appearance and tightness of your pores. Be keen to look at the ingredients before picking a toner that's suitable for your skin. Remember to pick ingredients that will help your skin and achieve your desired goal of clean skin.
Serums- Your next step should consist of serums. Now it is important to note which serums are to be used at which time. For example a serum containing high amounts of retinol should be used at night only. In your serums is where you can really incorporate the elements needed to help your skin. I will do another post talking about the best brands and products containing the best ingredients for your skin type but for now we can look and use what we can.
Eye-cream- Eye-cream is a very controversial step. A lot of people argue that it's unnecessary or that it doesn't work. Personally, I love it and think it works wonders for the puffiness under my eyes. As a university student this has become very helpful in trying to hide my lack of sleep.
Moisturizer- This is supposedly the last step. Well at night that is. Again the selection of this product should vary on the type of skin you have.
Sunscreen- Sunscreen should be the last thing you apply in your routine. It should be applied 15 minutes before contact with sunlight. I don't think I have to stress on how important sunscreen is. Picking a sunscreen however can be tricky. Some people tend to need higher levels of spf in order to be protected while others can use lower levels and still be fine. I say use the highest available to you if you don't know what level you need. There's no harm in it and you are sure you are protected.
Bonus face masks- Face masks aren't a part of your everyday skincare routine but it should be a part of your overall routine. A face mask to exfoliate should be added to your routine and it should be done at least once and week. Exfoliation should not be done everyday as it can be very harmful to the skin's barrier. A mask for hydration should also be added to your routine to be done at least once a week.
Tumblr media
I hope you learnt a lot in today's post. That's all for this week. Be sure to join me next Friday for a lesson on haircare. Have a wonderful week and be sure to stay hydrated. Thank you for reading!
Here is a song to help set the mood for your routine.

hi beloved!! ok so first off, remember makeup isn’t about covering up your feature but rather enhancing them and expressing yourself!! (i am sure you are gorgeous talia!)
so first thing i recommend to do is find out your face shape, eye shape, and just learn about your features overall. different makeup looks drastically different on you based on these! for example, eyeliner looks can look very different based on if you have a monolid, hooded eyes, etc. so it’s best to do some research on your features to see what kind of looks what suit you best! i also recommend looking up tutorials of people with similar features to you so you can see how certain makeup looks would appear on you and just overall youtube tutorials will be your best friend!!!
next, if you don’t already, please take care of your skin!! skincare is essential to have your makeup looking good and not damaging your skin. you don’t need a super complicated routine at all, just washing your face, a cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer will do! but please see what kind of skin type you have, and if your skin needs more than that, feel free to adjust accordingly!
last tip for now is drugstore makeup is so so good and i cant stress this enough!! esp if your just starting out, it’s the best to be able to use affordable makeup! elf, maybelline, covergirl, & loreal are some of my fav brands! please please please check out your local cvs! they have so many good dupes of popular products for the fraction of the price!!
that’s all for now gorgeous! if you have any more specific makeup or fashion related questions feel free to shoot me an ask!! i’ll be more than happy to respond 💗
omg yesss i can’t find a style of eyeliner that looks good on my eyes and i hate it so much. i feel like i have such a skewed perception of my face that i don’t even really know what i look like at this point is that makes sense??
and for my skincare i def need a more powerful moisturizer because one of my acne medications that i got like a year ago still dries out my face So Much (i also have no idea what type of skin i have like dry or oily and now it feels too late to ask anyone because it’s embarrassing that i don’t know)

Why to wash it!
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! Today I want to talk to you about the importance of face wash and why you should use it every day.
Face wash is not just a cosmetic product, it is a vital part of your skin care routine. It helps you to remove dirt, oil, makeup, and other impurities from your pores, which can cause acne, dullness, and premature aging. It also prepares your skin for the next steps of your regimen, such as toner, serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
But not all face washes are created equal. You need to choose one that suits your skin type and needs. For example, if you have dry skin, you should look for a face wash that is gentle, hydrating, and creamy. If you have oily skin, you should opt for a face wash that is foaming, clarifying, and oil-free. If you have sensitive skin, you should avoid face washes that have harsh chemicals, fragrances, or alcohol.
The best way to use face wash is to wet your face with lukewarm water, apply a small amount of face wash to your fingertips, and massage it gently onto your skin in circular motions. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing your skin, as this can irritate it and cause redness. Rinse your face thoroughly with water and pat it dry with a soft towel. Do this twice a day, in the morning and at night, and you will see a difference in your skin's appearance and health.
So, that's it for today's video. I hope you found it helpful and informative. If you did, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more beauty tips and tricks. Also, let me know in the comments below what is your favorite face wash and why. I would love to hear from you. Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in the next one. Bye!

How to create a body care routine that works for you
# Introduction
We live in a fast-paced world where the latest trends in beauty and fashion often come and go quickly. With so much information out there, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest trends and figure out what works best for you. That’s why it’s important to have a body care routine that is tailored for your specific needs and lifestyle.
A body care routine is a series of steps that you take to look after your body and skin. It’s important to develop a routine that works for you and fits into your lifestyle. With the right tools and products, you can create a routine that will help you look and feel your best.
# Developing Your Routine
The first step in developing your body care routine is to determine your skin type. Knowing your skin type is essential in order to choose the right products for your skin. There are four basic skin types: normal, dry, oily, and combination. To determine your skin type, you can use the “bare-faced test”. Simply wash your face with a gentle cleanser, then wait an hour without applying any products. After the hour is up, look closely in the mirror at your skin. If your skin is dry and tight, you have dry skin. If your skin is shiny and greasy, you have oily skin. If your skin is neither dry nor oily, you have normal skin. If you have areas of your face that are dry, and other areas that are oily, you have combination skin.
# Choosing Products
Once you’ve determined your skin type, it’s time to choose the right products for your skin. When it comes to body care and skin care, there are a multitude of choices. It’s important to select products that are tailored to your skin type and specific needs.
For dry skin, it’s important to choose products that are hydrating and nourishing. Look for products that contain hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and glycerin, as these ingredients help to lock in moisture.
For oily skin, it’s important to choose products that are non-comedogenic, meaning they won’t clog your pores. Look for products that contain salicylic acid, tea tree oil, and witch hazel, as these ingredients help to reduce oiliness and keep your skin clear.
For normal skin, look for products that are gentle and hydrating. Look for products that contain jojoba oil, aloe vera, and shea butter, as these ingredients will help to keep your skin hydrated and healthy.
For combination skin, look for products that are lightweight and non-comedogenic. Look for products that contain green tea, apple cider vinegar, and rose water, as these ingredients help to balance the skin and keep it clear.
# Establishing a Routine
Once you’ve chosen the right products for your skin type, it’s time to establish a routine. A good body care routine should include cleansing, exfoliating, toning, moisturizing, and sunscreen.
Cleansing is the first step in your routine and should be done every morning and night. Use a gentle cleanser that is tailored to your skin type.
Exfoliating should be done two to three times a week. Use a gentle exfoliant that is tailored to your skin type.
Toning should be done every morning and night after cleansing. Use a toner that is tailored to your skin type.
Moisturizing should be done every morning and night after cleansing and toning. Use a moisturizer that is tailored to your skin type.
Sunscreen should be applied every morning before you leave the house. Use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
# Conclusion
Developing a body care routine that is tailored to your specific needs and lifestyle can help you look and feel your best. Start by determining your skin type, then choose the right products for your skin type. Finally, establish a routine that includes cleansing, exfoliating, toning, moisturizing, and sunscreen. With the right tools and products, you can create a routine that will help you look and feel your best.
# Summary
Creating a body care routine tailored to your individual needs and lifestyle can help you maintain healthy skin and an overall sense of well-being.
