Yep, it was detention

You got in there for cheating on a test and he was simply serving one of the eight detentions he was given (yes, that's how many it added up to)

You hated him at first. All he did was make bad jokes and look at you in slightly uncomfortable ways

After spending a whole day with him in detention though you started getting used to him... you maybe even liked him a little

He didn't admit it at first but he did too... a couple weeks later though, he told you

You said you'd date him

The first couple of weeks you regretted it

He was an... interesting boyfriend

All he did was make jokes about you and look at you

Eventually though, he realized that wasn't ok with you

You changed him a lot. Because of you he stopped smoking, cussed less, and didn't cut class as much

You didn't tell him to do any of that, he just thought it would make you happy

He has absolutely no problem with PDA. Anytime, anyplace he will put his arm around you, hold your hand, everything

You will switch earrings sometimes (you insist on disinfecting them first though)

If you're ever cold, he's got you. That kid wears so many jackets, all he has to do is give you one and you're both good to go

If he ever gets detention you'll do something to get in there with him

Since there's a no talking rule, you pass notes. It's also just more fun for you two that way

After detention you two always go to a fast food place or something like that to hang out

You obviously could never go to his house to hang out and yours isn't much better so you two have a list of other places you always go to hang out

When you first started dating him you were scared he would try getting with other girls too but he actually hasn't done anything of the sort

In fact, if another girl even comes close to him he'll pull you closer and talk to you softly

If another guy comes close to you he'll drag you away and you'll tell him that you could've handled it but he'll just smile

He actually never talks about any of his exes (ahem, Claire...) but only because they don't matter

You're the best girlfriend he's ever had because you actually care about him

Assuming you're meaning john bender from the breakfast club yes I can! I started writing something else but it ended up taking a mind of it's own and sort of spiraled out of control and away from the original prompt so if you're wondering why this has taken so long that's why 😭 I plan on posting the other one soon though if you're interested. Also I feel like this isn't very good?? Idk

Tw: yandere/dark content, gender neutral reader, yandere for yandere nonsense, both Bender and the reader are kind of crazy but the reader is a lot more obvious about it, swearing, mentions of underage smoking (weed and cigarettes), light stalking, implied/referenced abuse, mentions of violence/fights/implied murder

There were typically only two types of kids who ended up in detention: good, decent ones who made an honest mistake, and delinquents who either purposely got detention or didn't really give a shit. Bender was the second one, obviously.

When you first showed up in detention, he thought for a split second you might be the first type. That was until you looked over at him with eyes that were full of mischief and chaos, immediately giving you away.

"Hi," you greeted him like it was nothing. You were sitting at the desk in front of him, but you had turned around in your chair so you could stare at him like some kind of attention starved puppy.

He just looked at you for a second with a raised eyebrow, having no idea what to think. "Uh, hi." You were definitely cute, and you didn't seem to have a problem talking to him even though he was widely known throughout the school to be a criminal, but something about you was off, something he couldn't quite put his finger on. It intrigued him.

"I really like your hair. It looks really soft." Being socially aware seemed to be something you clearly knew nothing about, because who starts a conversation like that? No one that was considered "normal" by that school's standards, he could tell you that much.

"Can I...?" You asked vaguely, trailing off while you reached your hand forward, as if you wanted to touch him. Part of him wanted to be annoyed, another part wanted to mess with you so badly, but eventually it was the third part of him that won out. As much as he tried to, he couldn't find it in him to care.

"Yeah, sure." He leaned forward and tilted his head down, allowing you to touch it. He heard you let out a gasp of delight before you moved your hand to rest on top of his head, gently stroking his hair.

The giggle you let out made him smile, even though he'd deny it if you ever asked. Once you were satisfied with touching his hair, you pulled your hand away and went back to staring at him.

Bender didn't think anything of it, thinking that maybe you were just kind of weird, which you definitely were, as it turned out, because you spent the entirety of detention bothering him. You were constantly asking what he was doing, and even when you weren't directly messing with him you still didn't leave him alone, choosing to just sort of stare in his direction. Other people might've been unnerved, but he didn't care too much.

He thought that once detention was over that'd be the last he'd see of you, but it turned out he was wrong when you started showing up in the school parking lot during lunch to get high with him and skipping class to join him with whatever random thing he was doing.

No matter what he did, you were there. He even caught you breaking into his locker a few times and trying to follow him home. The locker thing didn't bother him that much, since he knew you wouldn't snitch on him for having weed, but there was no way he was going to allow you at his house. It was hard having to tell you to leave him alone, but it was even harder having to imagine you littered with bruises and cuts because his dad had an off day.

That didn't mean you couldn't hold your own, however. He knew you could because he'd seen you yell at other students and even teachers for the snide comments they made about him. You were always so adorable whenever you threatened to get violent.

Despite that, he knew he'd never be able to forgive himself if you ended up getting hurt because of him. He'd already been in detention more than once for getting into fights with people who made fun of you for how "crazy" you were, something that he just didn't see. How could anyone not fall in love with that slightly unhinged look in your eyes?

One thing he never did have to worry about was spending detention alone, because unlike him you had no clue how to act natural whenever you were doing something you weren't supposed to. Whereas he could get away with certain things due to being clever enough, you couldn't because of how visibly insane you were. Sometimes you were given detention for no reason at all, it just seemed to be a precaution they were taking.

"I want you to tell me if they hurt you again," you suddenly demanded one Saturday while the two of you were hanging out in the library during said detention. "Your parents, I mean. Or Vernon, or anyone. You protect me, so I want to be able to protect you."

"I don't need you to protect me," Bender replied with a scoff as he lit up yet another cigarette. He didn't miss the glare in your eyes that formed at his words.

"I don't care if you need it or not," you practically snapped in reply. Other people would fear for their safety if they heard you use that tone directed towards them, but he was used to your temper flares by now. "I just- I want you to know that I care about you, y'know? And that I can keep you safe."

He paused upon hearing your words, thinking them over some before letting out a sigh. As much as he wanted to tell you to mind your own business, he knew you'd find out sooner or later. "The gym teacher threatened to break my nose for making him look ridiculous in front of the other kids," he muttered as he stared down, his cigarette momentarily forgotten.

Your gaze softened as you watched him, knowing how much it took for him to admit it. "I'm sorry that happened to you, John. I'll make sure to take care of it, okay?"

The way you said his name made his heart beat faster, an affectionate gleam in his eyes as he looked up at you. "I know you will. Just be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you, either."

Letting out a devious giggle, you gave him a twisted smile that would send other people running for the hills but only made the butterflies in his stomach get worse. "Believe me, I'm not the one you need to worry about."

A couple days later, said gym teacher ended up going missing. Several people were questioned by the police as they tried to find out what happened, including you two, but eventually they hit a dead end and were forced to file what happened under the cold cases.

You were right when you said you wanted to protect him, and unlike other people you made sure you followed through with it. I guess it didn't hurt to have someone that was considered crazy care about you.

Jaiden was the one who woke up the earliest in the house they all called home. She would roll out of bed, out of Niki’s arms most of the time and head to the kitchen. Never having been the best cook, she had asked Niki ages ago to help her learn some. Now every morning she woke before the sun to make eggs for the whole family. It was so tender her eyes would tear up if she thought about it for too long. 

Mouse was the second one to wake up. Anywhere between a half hour and a hour after Jaiden woke and started breakfast, Mouse would wander into the kitchen in a pair of pj’s that were absolutely never hers and greet her with a peck on the cheek. They kept each other company in the early mornings. The rest of the women were much bigger sleepers than them. 

Empanada woke up around the same time that Bagi did so Bagi was the one designated to fetch the young girl from her room and bring her out to eat. Bagi made the most delicious pancakes. Jaiden and Empanada would rave about them every morning that she made them while Mouse just watched them with a sleepy content expression. Domestic bliss. 

Tina was up next, crawling out of her and Bagi’s room with a yawn and an adorable tired smile. She would wrap her arms around her girlfriend as she cooked, going non-verbal for the first hour or so after she awoke. Everyone who was awake would take Em to school. Pile in the minivan, turn up the music, and they would be off. They had used to worry that there would be a time when Empanada would be embarrassed of them but every single day without fail, she kissed them all before she got out of the car, signing i love you after them until they had driven out of sight. 

When they finally got back, Baghera would be half awake perched on the kitchen counter eating their breakfast leftovers. “We can make you something?” 

“Baghera, please let us make you some food for once.” 

She always brushed them off. “Non, non. This is fine, mes petits choux. I am content.” 

Niki would awaken last but always managed to be the most bright eyed. She would make them all tea, not taking any of their “oh you don’t have to”’s with any seriousness. 

“I insist. Let me spoil you all.” 

It was unusual, they all knew that. But it was home. Ellas son casa.

Headcanons: ADHD!Bender , Autistic!Brian

Prompt: Bender is very self conscious about having ADHD, not wanting anyone to find out about it. When Brian innocently asks a question regarding neurodivergency, Bender gets really mad. Brian tells Bender he’s autistic, and he helps Brian not feel so alone with his ADHD.

Warning : The r-word is used multiple times out of dialogue but from the perspective of an ableist, abusive parent so just keep that in mind Chronology : Post-canon Pairing : Brian/Bender Headcanons : Bender has ADHD, Autistic!Brian, they have math class together, Bender's dad is ableist (although that's hardly a headcanon cause there's no way in hell that man would be NOT ableist) Author's note : I use the term "Asperger's" here because it's more accurate to what Brian probably would've been diagnosed with given the diagnosis, however this is your friendly reminder that Asperger's is, in fact, just an outdated term for part of the Autism spectrum. Similarly, Bender's ADHD is just called ADD here.

When the doctor told Bender he had ADD, he quickly took steps to make sure no one else found out. His dad's reaction to his fuck-up son being a retard on top of everything else was bad enough. He didn't need to get the same treatment from his peers.

He was so careful with this information that when Brian innocently asked him a question about it, he flipped his shit.

"Hey" the blonde had said as he sat next to the other boy during science class. Bender was too surprised by the fact that, of all people, the nerd was talking to him during class that he didn't even manage to get a shitty remark in before the boy continued. "Sorry if this is a bit random, but I've been picking up on certain things you've been doing and, I was wondering if you maybe have, like, Attention Deficit Disorder or something, because-"

Bender kicked the boy in the shin hard and gave him a very scary look. Brian seemingly took the hint and stopped talking.

After class, Bender roughly grabbed him by the arm and dragged him to the nearest bathroom. He shoved the smaller boy into the biggest stall and locked the door. Brian looked up at him as though fearing for his life but didn't dare say anything. Once the brunet was sure that the door was locked properly, he pinned his scrawny classmate against the gross tile wall, much to Brian's dismay, and leaned in really close to make sure no passing-through students heard.

"Who the fuck told you?"

"Huh?" Brian asked, confused. Bender almost smacked him but refrained, instead just holding a very stern glare toward the boy as he elaborated.

"Who the fuck told you I have that... Thing?"

"What, Attention Defici-"

"Who. Fucking. Told. You?"

"No one" Brian told him, eyes wide with fear. Bender let up his grip a little bit because he didn't want the kid to be that afraid of him. "No one told me. I figured it out on my own"

"How?"

"Well, I, uh..." Brian sighed. He figured there was no use in hiding this information considering he was in deep shit regardless. Besides, maybe it would help Bender be less ashamed of his own disorder. "I have Asperger's"

"Holy shit" Bender said, a bit surprised. He'd been tested for that as well, but he himself wasn't diagnosed with it. However, that had still triggered a whole slew of rants from his father about how retarded those kids were and how he was glad that, if his son was gonna be a retard, it was better that he had a less extreme case of it. He never thought of Brian as retarded, though. Just kind of annoying. "Holy shit"

"What?"

"You're, like, normal" Bender chuckled. Then, seemingly realizing how he was coming across, he shook his head and forced back on his tough guy persona. If Brian wasn't still being pinned to a wall, he probably would've chuckled. "Regardless, you don't tell anyone about this, got it?" the taller boy demanded. Brian nodded earnestly. "If I hear one of your little math nerd friends so much as breathe the word 'ADD' near me, you're dead, got it?"

"Absolutely" Brian assured him. "But, uh, for the record, it's nothing to be ashamed of"

"Well that's easy for you to say when you have something way more serious" Bender told him. Brian just seemed sad at this and it was only then that it dawned on Bender that he wasn't actually alone in this anymore. Sure, ADD and Asperger's weren't the same thing but surely they were at least similar if his doctor felt the need to test him for both at the same time. "Don't speak of this out loud, however... Notes, I'm fine with"

Brian's frown gave way to a small smile. He's trying, he thought to himself. This is hard for him, but he's trying.

"Now..." Bender spoke up again, releasing his hold on the smaller boy. "Get the fuck out of here"

"Yes, of course"

She acts like the typical bratty rich girl who's used to getting what she wants. What do you mean she can't go to that party? Who are you to tell her who she can and can't hang out with?

She typically "rebels" against you by doing the exact opposite of what you said, until she realizes that, surprise surprise, you were right all along. Not that she'd ever admit it, of course

On the surface she acts really annoyed by how overprotective and clingy you are, but secretly she loves having someone who actually cares about her wellbeing and isn't just trying to get back at someone when you tell her not to do something

Andrew Clark

He's pretty used to people telling him what to do, meaning he's not very good at thinking for himself. Imagine his surprise when you encourage him to start making his own decisions

Of course you have your own opinion on what he should or shouldn't do, but why should that matter? He's his own person, which you slowly help him realize over time

He doesn't really need someone to constantly look out for him (hello, he's an athlete, he can beat someone up if he really needs to) but he definitely appreciates having someone to remind him that wrestling isn't everything

Brian Johnson

He so desperately needs someone who cares about him for more than just his grades, the poor baby. Even if you just offer to help him with his homework he'll be eternally grateful

Honestly, he trusts you so much. You could tell him to take the day off and not worry about school and he actually will because he knows you'll end up getting his work done for him

He finds how much you watch over him to be very endearing because unlike his parents you actually care about him and not just his grades. He barely even notices how attached you are because he's just as bad

John Bender

I love him but he's one you'll have to drag kicking and screaming if you want to properly care for him because newsflash, he doesn't need anybody and can look out for himself

He gets so pouty whenever you lay down ground rules on things (how often he gets detention, when he needs to eat, etc.) and will flat out refuse to listen to you unless you start to ignore him

You're eventually able to wear down his rough exterior and get to his soft inside because deep down he wants to be cared for the way you do for him, even if he acts like a brat for it most of the time

Allison Reynolds

She's so sweet, you could tell her to set her house on fire and she probably would if you promised to give her attention (please don't actually tell her that though because she will do it)

As long as you spend time with her she's pretty content to listen to you. Occasionally she "acts out" or whatever but it's more to push your buttons than it is to actually misbehave

Her clinginess rivals even yours as she has to be around you pretty much all the time or she'll get upset. Even if you have to get groceries or run errands she'll gladly tag along just so she can be near you
