Miscellaneous Justice League Heacanons Because I Just Think They're Neat
(this has been in my drafts for months so I might as well post it. Also this is 2001 cartoon JL because I have taste)
The watchtower stays clean only in the sense that a shared apartment stays clean. It's a home for most of the league, so it looks like it. Usually it's at least presentable, most of the lived in detritus is kept to the recreational areas, but sometimes even the work rooms get messy. They do have to deep clean eventually, and obviously everyone is roped in "because we all live here dammit" (to which Bruce tried to response "I live at Wayne Manor" but was interrupted by a sponge to the face). John insists on playing music over the loudspeaker because it's not cleaning day without it. Clark and Diana loved the 70s jams instantly, J'onn and Wally warmed up to it pretty quick, and Bruce and Shay still deny any accusations of grooving (the rumors are true)
Wally dedicated an embarrassing amount of time and effort into starting a prank war. Disabling the off button on comm links, playing Its Not Unusual over the loudspeaker 8 times, filling the Javelin with bubbles, the works. To be fair, the others did crack and started striking back eventually. J'onn had a natural advantage for pranking and Wally is very proud of him. John and Shayera were an unstoppable team, but eventually got nerfed by the inability to not one up each other. Diana didn't fully grasp the concept ("Di, girl, buddy, trapping me in a locker is not really a prank") and Clark got points for creative use of frost breath. Bats held out the longest without retaliating, but playing the Imperial March whenever he entered a room did get him in the spirit.
J'onn is invited to both girl's night and boy's night, but is generally considered part of the girl's team over the boys. There was a turf war over this because technically he doesn't count as either, but Diana and Shay had the more compelling argument. Also J'onn thinks the men's locker room is gross, so that broke the tie. The boys are still a little bitter.
The watchtower has slowly accumulated a ridiculous amount of game systems. There was a drunk conversation and online shopping spree about who's the best at Super Smash Brothers, and Bruce was buzzed enough to kindly bankroll a multi gen tournament. Now the watchtower is home to about 30 years worth of home gaming systems, including a Wii which has been used for Just Dance on more than one occasion (that info is not permitted to leave the watchtower)
If the league has significant downtime (usually do to Space Diseases that cannot be helped) they pass the time by working their way through one of Bruce's many DVD box sets. The Charlie's Angels marathon was notable because it gave them a new thing to say whenever Alfred calls (he has once or twice replied with a "Good Morning Angels")
There has been more than one occasion that J'onn has accidentally shifted into a famous person while going out. A lot of the time when he needs to pick a form in a pinch he'll just use a random one he finds on a magazine or something, and there have been multiple occasions when that someone was Beyonce

ok, so my own final (and very, very fresh) thoughts, bc i wanted to wait until i'd watched everything to make a sweeping opinion of the whole series, and it's quite opinionated. and long. probably too long. i write essays for fun (everyone point and laugh):
my personal (and very, very fresh) ranking of the hbo war shows (not including gen kill bc that's a different war, sorry) goes- band of brothers > masters of the air > the pacific (it's the same for my title score rankings. that hasn't changed yet)
my main points of contention with MotA are 1) the nine episodes, 2) the length of the episodes, and 3) certain editing choices. nine episodes, compared to the classic ten, isn't Nearly enough time to showcase all that they wanna showcase (especially when the episodes are as short as they are, once you get past the recap and "next on" parts). and they wanna showcase A Lot! there so much going on! i'd ask them to pace themselves, but they literally Can't!
i mean, the editing choices are a Whole Thing! practically gives me whiplash sometimes lol. i feel like the weaker episodes still have parts that are Really good, but like. Individually. they don't work together as a stronger whole, which is to the episode's detriment. rather than jumping around (as the show often did), they could've benefited a lot from focusing on the One Story instead of squeezing three more stories into there (i say that, but i think the 4-5-6 episode run (all with multiple stories per episode) did this very well while Still being very good episodes, so it's not like it Can't be done, it just didn't work for 7, 8 and (partly) 9). granted, i suspect a chunk of the weird editing can be blamed on, well, there being only nine (and not all that long) episodes and no one wanting to cough up enough money for a tenth. ugh! i'm blaming both hbo And appletv for this (and covid19 ig). it's just One More Episode, how much could it cost?? and on the subject of episodes, why no episode titles? you used to love episode titles! i could've brainstormed episode titles for them For Free!!
when it comes to the characters, the rankings remain the same: BoB > MotA > TP. it's not totally fair tho, since BoB followed the exact same (and large-ish) group of guys from beginning to end, so you're Gonna know who they all are and get attached. this wasn't the case (for me!) when watching TP, since, unlike BoB, they jump around from group to group. i never felt like i got to know them all that well, outside of the main characters. i think MotA almost hits that sweet spot, especially knowing they had those two main things going against it: large cast And jumping from group to group. there's a case to be made for bias here (i Was the blog blogging about everything MotA for like. years.), but i still think they found a good enough balance of fleshing out the main characters while Also helping the audience get to know about a bunch of minor characters, of which there are a shitton (and their personalities, motivations, backgrounds, quirks).
there's also the representation of women. actual angel renée lemaire is and will always be a cut above the rest (bastogne is just That Good, argue with the wall). she's written so well that it almost makes me forget about how a bunch of women are portrayed in carentan. i have...issues with how women are portrayed in TP (even tho i love lena), so there's that. MotA falls in the middle (again) bc there's Way more women on-screen, but the writing can be questionable. balanced (as all things should be?) captain l'sandra wing-westgate is a character of all time, but episode 7 birthed the craziest discourse known to man (the hbo war fandom), but it wasn't all that unwarranted. manon and michou were sooo cool, but we didn't see nearly enough of them (another victim of the 'editing too many stories into one episode' problem. why not a whole resistance episode? or at least as the only b-plot?). paulina was interesting, but fulfilled one of those 'attractive foreign woman gives sage advice during/after sex' tropes (there's probably a tvtropes page for that idk). so many red cross girls, but none of the in-depth payoff :/ epic highs (multiple women!!) + epic lows (writing women??) = pretty tolerable. not great, not terrible. it was aight. i trust the fandom to build on this tho.
narrative is the big one tho. it's the whole "doing so much with so little" thing they've got going on (i'm ignoring their big budget here lol, could've been bigger). rather than having one main story with many connecting side stories (like BoB), it does the TP thing where there's many semi-connecting side stories set in the same general area. it helps that there's crosby's narration (i enjoy narration, sue me!), and he helps everything connect, sorta. but there's still other side stories that have Nothing to do with him (sandra's side gigs (revealing what she did takes away the mystery of what she Might be doing), the tuskegee airmen, quinn and bailey's eurotrip). would it have helped if there were two narrators (say, someone like rosie)? idk. gonna sit with that one. if there's a through-line, it's not super obvious like in the other two shows. which is insanely funny to me bc i literally like TP less, but that show's got an Extremely tight through-line all the way down. i can't lie and say it doesn't!
back to budget- i've seen people criticize this show for being called "masters of the air" when there's not much of "the air". ig that's fair, but there's the money issue, again. also, it'd get very repetitive if they were always in "the air". there was enough confusion about identifying who was who with the masks on, so imagine if that was Every Episode. out of All the issues the show has, this is the least issue-y. again, that's just my opinion, and it could change.
another budget thing (i think??)- idk enough about costuming and hair for period pieces so i can't comment on that with my 0 background in it, all i Can say is that i knoooooow people were clowning on marjorie cleven's hair in episode 1 (and i could see why, no such thing as 1940s beach waves). but from what i could understand- that actress' addition was a last-minute thing (bc i had No idea who the hell she was and i already found someone cast for marjorie all the way back in 2021). maybe there's something to say about the quality of rush jobs, but i really do think it was the most last-minute thing bc it came out of Nowhere, and timeline-wise, it looks like that bit was done long after everything else had been filmed. outside looking in, it seems something probably went wrong/didn't work out with who or what they already had and there wasn't enough wiggle room (time and money) to fix it. this isn't me being an apologist (lol), but i feel like a theorist at a big board bc nothing adds up! and i wanna know what happened! i'm just speculating! speculating on this blog is All i did for like Years lmaooo.
this is more of a side thing, but some of the lines in MotA feel really on-the-nose, almost corny. and that was Gonna be a knock against it, but there's some equally Extremely on-the-nose lines in both BoB and TP (Especially in BoB), so if i give MotA shit for it, i'd have to give all three shows shit for it lol. none of them are free of cheese.
another silly aside- no peaches, no main gingers, no main eugenes! we can't have 'em all, but c'mon!
there Is some good tho lol. one thing that MotA really has going for it, that i think the other shows have less of, is- and GOD it feels so weird to call this "world-building" when it's actual goddamn history, but- it's got world-building. maybe that isn't the best word for it. but i like how much Bigger ww2 feels in this show. BoB is one stop, then the next stop, then the next stop, which is, admittedly, good from a narrative-perspective (easy to follow), but not as good when you want a scale of how devastating the war is (in fairness, it was filmed in 2000). even TP feels pretty "enclosed" in a way. there's island-hopping, yeah, but all the damn islands look the same (not including australia lol). it's a theatre of the war we otherwise don't really get to see, but there still isn't all that much to see. it's water and sand and rock and dirt. which is the point, but Whatever! would've been cool if we saw sledge and co. in china, but moving on. MotA's able to really show the scale of it, both in the air and on the ground (that scene in germany during episode 6 was both harrowing and fantastic, also the inclusion of the actual children forced to fight nearer to the war's end in the finale). idk i just liked how it was able to zoom in and zoom out (and in and out again) in a way that the other shows weren't.
another thing it's got that the other shows don't is Really driving home how young everyone is (not "child soldier" young, but damn young). the cast is full of baby faces (rip babyface). a lot of ww2 shows/movies don't bother casting to reflect this, but i think overlooking that takes away from the overall impact. you browse through some old newspaper articles or photos of soldiers during ww2 enough and you're gonna Regularly get hit with the face of someone who looks like they could've sat in the desk next to you during a high school lit class. a lot of those b&w grinning faces look like kids bc they pretty much were (more so if they lied about their age). you don't really get that in BoB or TP (it's Crazy when the real life pics of the soldiers portrayed in those shows look younger than the actors).
i'm mixed about the tuskegee airmen. what we have, i love (thank you, dee rees). unfortunately, my biggest irk is that it leaves me wanting more of them, which i won't ever get. speaking as a black person (not speaking for All black people, just how i personally feel about it), having them included feels like a catch-22. if they weren't included in any capacity (all while knowing there were whole tuskegee airmen in stalag iii with the white main characters), there'd be a problem. however, including them (all while having these time constraints and not enough focus on them) leads to the feeling of having them "tokenized" (which i can see). there's no world where there'd be 50/50 split (even a 70/30 split) bc, at that point, just give them a show of their own. but there'd still be a general annoyance that big budget ww2 shows are only ever white. on the other hand, hanks and spielberg and orloff and miller and all the directors (except dee rees) are white, and how good of a story about black people are you really gonna get from the perspective of nonblack people? that in mind, i personally don't feel put-off by having the three tuskegee airmen in the posters/trailers/promos, bc i just Know there'd be a whole nother problem if they weren't included in them at all despite being in the show for however long (it'd be even worse if they made their pictures smaller). like i don't work in advertising, but i don't know if a "sweet spot" even exists for something like this. people would be pissed off no matter what imo (i'm also speaking with a bias here bc i had to browse through sooooo many comments written by white guys whining and crying and pissing and shitting themselves once they learned that the tuskegee airmen were gonna be in the show in Any capacity, so i'm just cool knowing they're in shambles rn (and josiah cross- he played richard macon- always goes Wild seeing his face in the promos, and his joy is pretty contagious).
i give it somewhere like a 7.5-8/10. 3.75 stars out of 5. not perfect, subject to change, gotta marinate, but i'm overall happy with it! MotA's best episodes are better than many other individual hbo war episodes. should i be grading it using the overall sum of its parts, not just the different parts? idk, i'm not being paid to grade lol.

20 questions for fic writers
Tagged by @starlightvld- thank you!!! ☺️
1. How many works do you have on A03? 42! (neat!)
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 140,503!
3. What fandoms do you write for? Mostly vld. I have a Good Omens fic and always want to write more and a few fandom that I'm tempted to write for, but I'm still very much in vld.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? - Breaking point (vld, sheith) ; A little mouse told me (vld, sheith); Flowers and Blood (vld, sheith); A cure to loneliness (Good Omens, ineffable husbands)
This gets long so I'm adding the rest under a read more!!
5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! I do! Sometimes I can take a little long but I really enjoy talking with my readers!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Just a call... (vld, gen) I think! It's an open ending, but it ends up on a frustrating note (which was the point).
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Oh man, they almost always have a happy or at least hopeful ending. Let's go with A little mouse told me (vld, sheith).
Oh, hey, fun anecdote! Someone commented on Stay with me (vld, sheith) to tell me it was the 200,000th work in the "happy ending" tag! They had just witnessed the tag going up to that number with my fic!
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not so far, thankfully. (Happened once on fanart though, but it was just one dumb comment by an anti).
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I haven't so far, I'm not really interested in writing it (never say never, though!).
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Well, I did 2 fairly recently for a crackship event! It was loads of fun. The craziest might be A Mysterious French Chef, which started as a Hunk&Remy idea, but ended up involving Hunk, Allura and the space mice for vld, and Linguini, Colette, and Remy for Ratatouille, and everyone interacting pretty significantly. I really loved mashing the 2 universes, and for something that started as a "crack" idea, it ended up working surprisingly well!!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of. I've had some original (anonymous) poems that I cowrote with a friend plagiarized down to using our actual pseudonym, but that wasn't in fandom or even online!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I don't think so.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes! Five times Shiro broke the rules, and one time Keith did with VirdisDrachen (vld, Shiro&Keith). It's based on a roleplay. Other than that, while it's mostly an artist+writer big bang collaboration, I think Square_Orange and I did discuss the plot a fair amount for Let It Snow! (vld, sheith).
I also have 2 fics that are remixes of other people's work, done for the sheith remix event : When you lived! (the “Enormous, within your small hands” remix) inspired by a fic by @annaofaza, and High Score! (the “I want us forever” remix) inspired by a fic by Tragedy_Machine.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? To no-one's surprise: sheith.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I am fairly good at finishing my wips, even if I do have some stuff that has been waiting for a while. I still have my notes about Keith grieving Shiro between s2 and s3 and how the team tried to support him and each other but how things became tense, that I wrote just after s3 aired! I still hope to get to it one day!
There's also the collab with VirdisDrachen tbh because we dropped the rp after a while and I wouldn't finish this alone. So I'm afraid this one will stay as is.
16. What are your writing strengths? I think I'm good with dialogues and characterization? Themes like friendship, found family are my jam, too. Of course it's subjective.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I am learning, but action and fight scenes are *hard*. (But I also love them? haha). On the exact opposite side, stories with very low stakes are sometimes hard to write, when it's just 100% fluff and no conflict, unless it's like, a short scene... It's easier with some emotional or romantic build up (ex mutual pining > getting together) but otherwise I really have to *think* to plot the fic. I'm so used to stories centered around conflict (in the literary sense, including inner conflict, not necessarily an actual fight).
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I agree with @starlightvld that if it's a language that I'm not personally fluent in, I'd look for a native speaker who might want to help or avoid it. Except maybe for conlangs, like Sindarin or Klingon. Although if I ever write in a fandom with something like that, I would f*cking love to get insight from one of these people who actually studied them and are fluent. In a more general way, I'd be cautious that it actually brings something to the story, that it makes sense to use the language that way, and to do it in a way that doesn't confuse readers too much (unless I am purposefully writing for those who know the language, I guess). I will say that I do love different languages to be aknowledged, like for vld fics that actually dig into the paladins having different languages, and the Galra and Altean also, and so on (ex fics where they have universal translators and then there are issues when they break or they can't rely on them for whatever reason).
19. First fandom you wrote for? Voltron! My first fic was a Hunk-centric gen fic, While some count sheep, and I'm still really fond of it!
20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Oh, that's hard, I like them all for different reasons. I do enjoy Carry me away for the sheith saving each other vibes. A little mouse told me (sheith written from the space mice pov) was such a fun exploration! Honestly, the most kudosed ones in question 4 are all fics I am proud of. To chose a lesser known one, I also love A special day , a vld gen Hunk-centric fic!
Tagging... @sodomhipped, @tomatocages, @an-aphorism @museaway @jacqulinetan @levyscripts @annaofaza and whoever wants to do this!
(also no pressure at all if you are tagged!)

Gen VII, Complete!
Yes, we've done it! We have fully surveyed every Pokemon to appear in Alola... and a few from beyond.
As such, allow me to show you this generations...
Sultans of Smash!
(Which is just a fancy way of saying they got more "Smash" than "Pass" votes)
So without further delay, let us take a look back at these titans of smashing! Our Smashables are (under the Read More because holy fuck this gonna take a while, especially because, though fairly short, Gen VII had some, shall we say, popular choices):
1. For our first entry, I'd like to say that though they have the archery skills, they aren't Cupid! No, it's Deciduieye! And while they may not have any arrows of love, it seems they don't need them if Standard Form's 76.7% Smash rating and Hisuian Decidueye's 64.2% Smash rating is any indication! But still, it seems we know who to blame for being shot through the heart with this one.
2. This next one may seem big and mean, but don't worry! It's all just kayfabe for this natural born heel! Rest assured, Incineroar is a total sweetheart deep down. And judging by that 66.9% Smash rating, I'd say y'all more than enjoy the performance! Guess Incineroar's a Smash Brother in more ways that one, huh?
3. It's a tale as old as time, the beautiful mermaid rises from the ocean to the admiration and love of many. And with Primarina, it's very much true. Very, very true indeed, as Primarina is the first of Gen VII's Pokemon to join the Gods of Smash at an astounding 81.3% Smash rating! Seems this mermaid will definitely be part of your world.
4. Of this next bird, only one style could make it. And that would be the flamenco inspired Baile Style Oricorio! At a 54.6% Smash rating, it's clear this birds moves leave many of you enchanted.
5. Call this next one Cerberus the way it's a hound with three faces, Lycanroc's three forms all make it onto the list! Midday and Dusk both earn their spots with a 63.1% and a 67.4% Smash rating respectively, very impressive numbers. But special mention must go to Midnight Lycanroc, the second God of Smash to come from Gen VII with a whopping 83.8% Smash rating (Beaten out only by the Zoroarcs!) In both brightest day and darkest night, these hounds will be there for you!
6. In real life, the Orchid Mantis is a bug mimicking a plant. In the Pokemon universe, we have a plant that mimics a bug, but also is considered the most beautiful of Grass-types. That would be our next Sultan of Smash, Lurantis! And it seems this reputation of being gorgeous is well founded, if Lurantis's 80.6% Smash rating is any indication! You know, I don't think this is what most people meant by calling them a Man Eating Mantis, but what do I know?
7. Something's in the air. Is it love? No, but it's close! It's the pheromones of Salazzle! And as we can see from her 75.5% Smash rating, those are some potent pheromones indeed. Just remember not to get burned (...Unless you're into that?)
8: Yeah with this next one I'm not gonna beat around the bush: I'm pretty sure this hellsite is full of subs. My evidence? Tsareena and her 72.3% Smash rating! But I mean, look at her. Her legs are meant to look like latex boots, she stomps, has a whip move, and combined with the royalty thing that comes with being the Queen of Fruits (Mangosteen) and you have an irresistible mistress!
9: The wise man knows when to retreat, and when to resort to what some may call "dirty tactics". But for Golisopod, tactical withdraws to set up devastating ambushes are all fair, marking a Pokemon who appreciates pragmatism. Fortunately, as demonstrated by their 59.2% Smash rating, there's no need to retreat here! Just a need to get in and start smashing!
10. It's a certain kind of cruelty demonstrated to our next Pokemon. Made as an experiment, only to be coldly discarded and shackled with an uncomfortable helmet... Fortunately for Type: Null, nobody will abandon them again, if that 53% Smash rating is any indication! Now if we could just get that damned helmet off!
11. Aha! There we go! See, look at him! Sleek. Majestic. Powerful. Kinda goofy when you get to know them. These qualities and more help ensure Silvally's Smash rating goes up to a much improved 61.4%! Though now that just asks the question: Which type is best?
12: What's all that clashing and clanging, is someone messing with cymbals?! Nope, it's just Kommo-o enjoying his place on the list! Achieving a 63.4% Smash rating, Kommo-o is ready to make some noise! Just, ah, maybe wear hearing protection when you smash with them?
13. Normally, this Pokemon comes out for a good fight! But this time, Tapu Koko has come to smash! With great strength, an obvious joke somewhere in the fact that he looks like a chicken with his mask thing folded onto himself, and a 56.3% Smash rating, this guardian is ready to take you! Oh and I suppose they'd like to fight too if they could.
14. It's said that of the four Guardians of Alola, Tapu Lele is potentially one of the most dangerous. For shed from this fairy are fine scales that grant near limitless strength and vitality to those they touch... A trait she uses to keep battles going on longer. But, thankfully, there's a much less violent use for that energy, and it's apparently smashing! And judging by that 63.7% Smash rating, there's gonna be a lot of smashing... you may be a while.
15. And rounding out the Guardians of Alola who made the list is our next entry! The siren of the misty waters of Poni Island, Tapu Fini! Coming in at a mighty 70.4% Smash rating, it's obvious the mists couldn't keep y'all from her if they tried.
16. From among the stars themselves comes this King of Beasts, the Beast that Devours the Sun! From Ultra Space comes Solgaleo! Boasting a 53.2% Smash rating, this radiant feline demonstrates the power of the radiant sun.
17. But what is the Sun without its counterpart, the Moon? Well worry not, for the duo has been preserved! Lunala, the Beast that Calls the Moon, has made it into the Sultans of Smash with a 66.2% Smash rating! The beauty and grace oft associated with the moon shines through with Lunala, it seems.
18. Our next Pokemon is also our first guest from Ultra Space! Looking not unlike the silhouette of a good friend of the Gen VII PC and packing some very interesting tentacles, it's Nihilego! And at a 61.3% Smash rating, We can conclude that of all Nihilego's traits, the nihil in their name definitely doesn't refer to their smashing! They get too much for that to be merely nothing.
19. MUSCLES! Sorry, had to burst out with that because our next Ultra Beast is packing not just some serious guns, but an entire goddamn artillery! Yes, it's the officially voted "Most Smashable Mosquito Ever", Buzzwole! So fun fact, the "-ito" in mosquito is a suffix meaning little, and through etymology we can see "Mosquito" is basically Spanish for "Little Fly". I bring this up to say that with a Smash rating of 51.7%, it's very clear nothing is small about Buzzwole!
20. They're beauty. They're grace. They can kick their enemies really hard in the face. And most importantly, they're the fastest neat freak on the planet and beyond! They're Pheromosa, voted "Most Smashable Cockroach" in recent memory! Voted so by way of a 68.8% Smash rating! There's a dirty joke somewhere in a cockroach being smashable, but I'm afraid it escapes me, it's so hard you see!
21. For this next one, all I can say is "Something Something the eroticism of the machine". Look at Xurkitree just waltzing around like that, wires all exposed, contact points ready and waiting, Smash rating hitting a respectable 62.6% Smash rating... Truly, Xurkitree is bearing it all... er, probably.
22. Of all the beauty to be found in Heaven and Earth, little compares to the stars themselves. For ages, mankind has looked at them and thought a myriad number of things regarding them. And if our next Sultan of Smash is any indication, some have thought "I bet they'd be really smashable". How so? Well, it's simple: Every form of Necrozma, The Blinding One, The Pokemon who once shared their light across the cosmos (which I have long interpreted to mean they can make stars) has been voted Smashable in all forms! Whether it's as the representation of the stars who've long passed their prime (Standard Form Necrozma at 50.7% Smash), as the embodiment of a star eclipsed (Dusk Mane at 51.9% and Dawn Wings at 57.2%), and especially as the embodiment of a star in its prime (Ultra Necrozma at 63.8% Smash), it's clear the glory of the stars can be found in any shape Necrozma may take.
23. People on the website like fancy outfits. People on this website also love robots! So we have to ask ourselves... Can we combine pleasures? According to Magearna, yes we can! Coming in at a 53.8% Smash rating, it's clear that like the chocolate peanut butter cup, you can combine two great tastes to get something even better.
24. Of this next one, all I can say is I know for certain the clownfuckers never left despite the fact that Pennywise hasn't come up in ages? How do I know? Well it's simple you see! Blacephalon, everybody's favorite Ultra Clown, managed to earn themselves a 52.7% Smash Rating! I suppose you could say these statistics have... Blown my mind? ...No? Sorry, the joke had to be made.
25. Fast! Brutal! Efficient! Handsome! These words and more sum up the last entry onto the list! Zeraora, that late addition to the Alola Pokedex, has managed to blitz their way in with a 71.8% Smash rating! It's clearly time for an absolutely electrifying night with stats like that.
And at last, the Gen VII Who's Who of Smashing is concluded! This these 25 new admissions we are brought up to a stunning 161 Sultans of Smash... Man, if only we had a Grass starter in the Gods of Smash, we could practically do our own fan game with a Pokedex consisting of nothing but the evolutionary families of the Sultans. But I digress, next up we'll be taking a journey to good ol' Galar! Stay tuned for the Gen VIII List, and please hope that that one doesn't fight me as much as this one did in the writing process!

20 Questions For Writers
Was tagged by @kuraiarcoiris and decided why not. :V
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
35. I have more on other sites, but since I've made my AO3 account, that's how many I've posted there.
.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
656,547. Give or take a couple thousand.
.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently? Dream SMP. But I also have an Inscryption WIP and a couple Kpop WIPs that I really should get back to one of these days. orz But I've written for all sorts of fandoms over the years.
.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
5) Its Suffering Was Real [Inscryption]
This is the one that came as the biggest shock to me when I went and looked at my kudos count in preparation for this write-up. Like, really? People like the fic where I torture the sassy robot trapped in the body of a stoat for 7k words that much??
4) A Shoulder to Lean On [Avatar: The Last Airbender]
WHERE did all these people come from, I have like 6 comments on this thing (not counting my replies)??? I mean, I'm flattered, but ??!!?!
3) Accepting Amelioration [Voltron: Legendary Defender]
I mean, it's a Voltron fic posted back when the fandom was in full swing, it doesn't really surprise me the kudos counter is considerable, though I am still surprised it got that much traction considering the fic is gen and not shippy. Am still proud I made the first daemon AU in the entire fandom, though, if this is my claim to fame, then I'm ok with that. :p
2) Temporary Shelter [Astro / VIXX]
I seriously have no freaking clue how this little self indulgent Kpop crossover fic became so popular, I really don't. I mean, Kpop crossovers are niche at the best of times, and these two groups aren't exactly the most popular Kpop fandoms on AO3 if you know what I mean. It basically started as "wouldn't it be fun if my two favorite Kpop groups were secretly friends all this time? How would I have that happen, tho?" and then snowballed from there. I, uh. I'm glad so many other people like it, ig? 0_0
1) Paved with Pawprints [My Hero Academia]
Of course it's the MHA pet AU fic. Of course. OF COURSE-
.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Absolutely. It's only fair I reply if someone takes the time to read on my work and actually give me feedback about it, wouldn't you say? Plus, like most authors, I enjoy talking about my own work, so sue me. >:p
.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't usually do angsty endings; I prefer happy or at least bittersweet ones. I guess by default, it has to be the fic where I slowly killed off America and China from Axis Powers Hetalia for 13k words, while the rest of the cast had already been dead for centuries at that point. So yes, the entire cast of that series was dead by the end of that fic. :))) IN MY DEFENSE, ok, I was actually trying to give them a bittersweet ending by reuniting them with all of their old friends and family by finally letting them rest after so long alone, but it still turned out really sad. TT TT It's basically my only fic where I can't go back and reread it more than once every couple of years, because I still end up a sobbing mess by the end.
.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Well, I guess that's what you define "happiest" as. The most cathartic? The one with the least amount of trauma and extreme bodily injury incurred by the characters? 🤔 I guess by the latter definition, it would Kaleidoscopic Perceptions, a very fluffy USPH college AU that I actually enjoyed writing a lot despite me not usually enjoying romance or college AUs.
.
8. Do you get hate on your fic?
No, thankfully. I've gotten a couple kinda weird comments, and of course the obligatory "It's been X months since you updated were you aware?????" comments, but no outright negativity.
.
9. Do you write smut?
LMAO. Absolutely not.
.
10. Do you write crossovers?
Yes! I really love crossovers. I have a few common fallbacks that fit with a lot of fandoms (daemon AUs, Firefly AUs, etc.), but I also enjoy fandom-specific crossovers when I can figure out how to pull them off.
.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No idea. I hope not!
.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Just once for this Gravity Falls fic.
.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Yes. It had a few ups and downs, but it was overall a really positive experience, and I think it turned out really well!
.
14. What‘s your all-time favorite ship?
idk that I have an ALL TIME favorite ship, especially since I hardly ever ship anything, but Frobin is pretty choice, I gotta say.
Tumblr media
.
15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Er, none of them, hopefully? I hope that I eventually get to finish all my WIPs at some point, even if it might take me awhile. >.>; But I suppose if I had to pick ONE to abandon, I'd probably pick Written In, my D&D Inscryption crossover AU. I like the IDEA for it, but writing it out is like pulling teeth, and after the first installment where the party gets together, I don't really have a lot of ideas on where to take the plot. :/ Like I have the general overarching idea but no plot structure or anything but small disconnected story beats.
.
16. What’s your writing strengths?
I like to think I do a pretty good job with descriptions while not bogging the story down too much with too much detail?
.
17. What’s your writing weaknesses?
Uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh, staying motivated ig. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if you're asking my weakness about mechanics, though, uh... exposition, I guess? Dialogue in general, sometimes.
.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
If there is actual information included in the other language, then you better provide a translation. If it's just for flavor, though, have at it.
-
19. First fandom you wrote for?
TMNT, specifically the 2003 show. It's never been posted anywhere on the internet and never will. :)
-
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Becoming Real, a Kpop fanfic based on VIXX's Voodoo Doll MV. However, it can easily stand on its own as its own original work. I consider it the most accessible story I've ever written, and it also was just very easy for me to write. Writing is often like pulling teeth for me, but not this story.

Jily microfic, day 8: Prediction
A/N: Happy International Women’s Day! In honor of that I wanted to write about James Potter respecting the favorite woman in his life, but naturally he does it in a very James Potter way (I have a suspicion that Sirius might also played a role in coming up with this idea). Hope you enjoy! @jilymicrofics
Words: 608
genre: so much fluff (with a dash of humor)
rated: gen
AO3
...
”James Fleamont Potter, what in the Merlin’s name are you doing?”
James, who had been cooking a breakfast for two, turned his head to see his very pregnant wife lean against the doorframe, staring at him judgingly. In James’ opinion there was something adorable about the way she frowned, her arms crossed over her belly.
“What?” He questioned, as if he didn’t know exactly why Lily looked so surprised. “Can’t I show some solidarity to my beautiful wife who is carrying our son inside her for 9 whole months?”
Lily shook her head with disbelief, but James could tell she was fighting an urge to laugh as her gaze focused somewhere around his middle. “I mean, sure, if it means I get to have my favorite breakfast…” She glanced at the bacon in the pan greedily before turning her eyes back to him. “But don’t you think this is taking it just a little too far?”
“Absolutely not!” James exclaimed, nearly throwing some eggs on the floor when he waved his spatula with enthusiasm. “If anything, I think this is making me respect you even more than I already did. You have to do this…” he gestured towards his stomach, “… for months. What is a day compared to that?”
Lily closed the space between them and rubbed whatever it was that James had stuffed inside his hoodie to make it seem like he was pregnant too. The material seemed rather heavy, which went to show James’ dedication to his ‘challenge’.
“So you’re pretending to be pregnant for a day as an act of solidarity towards me.” Lily repeated James’ earlier words.
“I just don’t think it’s fair for you that you have to do all the work,” James stated solemnly as he flipped the bacon.
“Remember what you just said when the baby wakes up at stupid o’clock and won’t stop screaming unless you carry him around for hours nonstop. You can rest assured, I will let you do all that carrying then if that’s what you want,” she said with a mischievous glint in her eye.
James pictured himself doing that and suddenly he felt a little nervous about his baby calming skills. “But Lils… what if all he wants is some milk? Only you can produce that.”
She patted him on the cheek. “Oh James, there are some muggle instruments that allow me to pump the extra milk. I can always do that and put it into fridge to be used later.”
For a moment he just stared at her in awe. “Your body really is amazing, for being able to do all that,” he said so earnestly that Lily softened at his words. “And I’ll… I’ll do my best to help with everything I can.”
“Don’t worry,” Lily kissed his cheek. “I know you will. By the way…” she added when he wrapped one of his arms around her shoulders while the other hand held the spatula, “why do you always keep referring to our baby as a ‘he’? I mean, it’s not like we know for sure yet…”
“That’s what my mum predicted when I last talked to her… and she tends to have a knack for these things.”
“Right. Mother knows best,” Lily teased.
“Well, seeing as you’re about to be a mum… what do you think? What is it going to be?” James asked curiously.
“I honestly have no idea.” Lily shrugged. “But I don’t think it matters much, because I know that he, she, or they will be loved regardless.”
“Damn right they will,” James agreed and put his spatula down to give his wife a proper good morning kiss.

Hmm, if you still ship it, how about 002 for SugiKano (though, not all of them can be answered, huh? ^^;)? If not and/or as a bonus, KaruMana/KarmaNami? You seem real excited for the week, so here’s another chance to talk about it in the meanwhile.
Yay! Thorn's here!
Of course I still ship it, I just don't talk about it or any other ships because my mind is mostly focused on Gakuyuki. Due to recent events though, Karmanami is top priority, hence why we'll be doing both.
Suginkano
When I started shipping them: I think it was like a day after @blueberry-4 told me she shipped them. Rarepairs have a habit of occupying my mind rent free for a considerable period of time, but you already know that, my dear friend 😅
My thoughts: I can't believe I never thought of shipping them prior to meet Blue. They're perfect for each other. They have a lot in common, like sports, one-sided crushes, love chicken (which you pointed out to me, Thorn), etc... but have enough differences to balance things out. It's especially great for Okano, not only because she deserves someone to treat her right after the Valentine fiasco with Maehara, but also because I can see Sugino aiding in her growth.
For example, I can see Sugino praising and complimenting her skills whenever they hang out and play sports (We're at friendship stage here) He may not realize how impactful his words are, how they provide validation for her hobbies and interests. This alone won't diminishes her insecurity about being "unfeminine", but it does help, and Okano will gradually learn she doesn't need to change herself for others or to fit the mold.
What makes me happy about them: All the possible cute moments and scenarios, the chance for them to be with someone after their one-sided crushes, the height difference, the blue and pink combo, and the fact this ship can work both platonically and romantically.
What makes me sad about them: That they barely interacted.
Things done in fanfic that annoy me: No fanfics so no answer. Instead, I'll tell you about the things I did in my own fanfics that annoyed me:
Alot of times, I had Sugino tease Okano and her respond with anger in true tsundere fashion. It was funny at first, but then I felt it was too OOC for Sugino. I don't think he's above teasing, but he wouldn't tease someone just to get a reaction. Since then, I toned it down, and even outright abandoned it. He'd still tease her, but very lightly and she either teases him back, or playfully swats/kicks him with a smile on her face.
Things I look for in a fanfic: Good characterization.
My wishlist: For them to move on from their crushes and just be happy.
Who I'd be comfortable them dating with, if not each other: Kurahashi for Sugino and Kimura for Okano. Basically, my old ships for them pre-Sugikano, or OCs (for Next Gen purposes...)
My happily ever after for them: They get married and have kids and a dog.
Karmanami
When I started shipping them: From the begining, right after episode 8.
My thoughts: The delinquent x nerd dynamic what sold me on the this ship. It's endearing to picture Karma being the first to fall in love, but can't bring himself to confess, but he hangs out more often with Okuda as a result.
What makes me happy about them: How Karma trusts Okuda enough to let his guard down around her. It's this honest and open nature that prevents the chances of conflicts between them. I also love how Karma prompted Okuda to improve her skills, even if it was for nefarious puposes...
What makes me sad about them: That they never became canon.
Things done in fanfic that annoy me: Nothing, actually. I've read my fair share of bad Karmanami fics, but they were mostly crack. Overall, I liked what I've read for this ship.
Things I look for in a fanfic: Nothing in particular, maybe more of Okuda unintentionally flustering Karma.
My wishlist: For them to keep in touch even after graduation, showing that even after years, they still have the easiest boy-girl relationship.
My happily ever after for them: They get married and start a family.

Festivids Rec List, But Make It Horny (part 2)
This is part two of my horny festivids rec list I felt compelled to make for some reason. You can find part 1 here.
8. Alone With You Inside My Mind (Doctor Sleep) Unlike the Bound vids and Janelle Monáe vids, I had to put this one very far from the other Rebecca Ferguson thirst vid on accounts of that one being about a person being hot and this one being about a child-eating monster being hot. Yes, this is a (freaking hysterical) crack vid about Rose the Hat saying “hi there” a bunch, but also it’s legitimately spooky and sexy at the same time, which is quite a feat. Anyway this one is at #8 because no matter how normal she looks, this is still a monster-fucker vid. And that is good. 7. Put on a Show (Wheel of Time) Another vid where I very much do not know what’s going on, but the femdom energy here is off the charts. There’s choking, there’s tying boys up while you sit in a throne and look down on them, there’s blowing things up with magic, and there’s a hell of a lot of whoever this lady is walking around looking imperious and hot. Whatever these folks have going on, it’s more than enough to land them in the kinkier half of this list.    6. She’s a Lady & I’m Gonna Make You Love Me (Christine) Alright so one could certainly argue that these vids aren’t actually horny, and that’s fair. But I won’t beat around the bush: the fact of the matter is whether or not we as viewers are horny for her, Arnie wants to fuck his serial killer car. As far as monster-fucking Stephen King vids of this year go, while these may be a less sexy vid than the Rose one, the whole “wanting to fuck a car” thing definitely pushes it higher up on the kinky, bizarre, and fucked up scales than Alone With You Inside My Mind. 5. Ángel (Tár) Alright so this one is a toughie. It’s a beautiful character study, it’s dark and intense and creepy, it’s at times honestly quite sexy, and it’s also about a sexual predator. So. Finding parts of the vid hot is more than a little uncomfortable. Obviously themes of sex pervade the vid, though it’s unclear to me whether describing it as a “horny vid” is totally fair. This absolutely stunning vid lands the #5 spot on pure fucked-upness. 4. Dream Girl Evil (Last Night in Soho) Speaking of fucked up vids with non-con elements that aren’t necessarily supposed to be sexy so much as dealing with themes of sexuality, here’s a really cool Last Night in Soho vid! Look, this vid is listed as M/F and Gen, and I’m not here to question the vidder’s intent. But also, friends, let’s be real: there is a weird psychosexual undercurrent to Ellie’s obsession with Sandie. And this is really heightened by the sexy song that includes the lyrics “did mommy make you mad?” in a real sultry voice. Anyway, suddenly finding yourself inside someone else’s body and becoming obsessed with them is inherently homoerotic….. SPEAKING OF WHICH… 3. Anymore (Face/Off) …FACE/OFF!!! I can see people watching this vid and not thinking it’s that horny…. But I, the vid recipient and an intellectual, know otherwise. Listen, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: suddenly finding yourself inside someone else’s body and becoming obsessed with them is inherently homoerotic! And also fucked up and bizarre! God this vid has so much going on. There’s face swapping. There’s face licking (biting?). There’s shoot offs. There’s doves. It’s tagged “Sean Archer/Castor Troy” and also “enemies to enemies. ” What a delight. 2. Blood in the Cut (Taskmaster RPF) This is a vid about what a little freak Little Alex Horne is and honestly that is a genre of content I literally always want more of. There’s blood, wax, jealousy, humiliation, bondage – all the things that make Taskmaster great. Very horny. Very weird. Very kinky. It’s almost hard to imagine anyone beating Alex Horne for the freakiest freak of festivids award…….. 1. Body (David Cronenberg) …..Except that someone made me a fucking David Cronenberg vid!!!!!!! I’m not even gonna say more on this one, I’ll just leave you with the tags: “body horror, but make it hot”
Anyway, my three gifts are flawless and I’m also obviously very here for all the other thirsty content this festivids as well. I might be back with an actual rec list at some point. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Hey
do you write any fan fictions? If so do you think you could give us a little overview of what you’re currently working on? No pressure.
hello! thanks for the ask, i do indeed write fic! ofc i can give you an overview of what i'm working on atm :) i tried to not make this too long as it's just an overview, but feel free to ask me to expand on any of these! i do actually wanna talk more about my fic but i just never know if people wanna read posts about it or just wait until i upload the fic itself. do people want extracts? information about aus? character stuff? idk??? lemme know if you wanna know more, i'm chucking in a read more too bc it got a bit long
a hbo war f1 au. [working title: you're crashing, but you're no wave]. okay, so this is probably the biggest scale thing i'm working on atm. it's multi-chaptered and atm i've been writing it in an almost serialised format, since it's got quite a few narrative strands and numerous characters from both band of brothers and the pacific. i probably would have included some gen kill characters too, but i hadn't watched the show when i was planning and starting to write this, and i don't wanna add too much more into it, so i've stopped myself. i've written a lot for this one and i'm considering posting a few chapters soon. if you wanna know about any character's role in this one feel free to send me another ask because i'd love to talk about them more!! some are drivers (we've got rookies, seasoned drivers, eight-time world champions, the lot!!), some are behind the pit wall in management and engineering roles, some are retired drivers, etc etc. but yeah, it's andy haldane's final season before he plans to retire and let's just say the racing world has decided it's going to be the most chaotic yet! i'll drop some clues about what it entails: snafu and liebgott scrapping their way into weekly dnfs until one of them is kicked from the team. rookie driver eugene sledge having to deal with the consequences. webster somehow making it into his dream team with his dream teammate, yet, his focus remains on beating one person and one person alone. eddie jones is the very successful (and very hot) team principal of andy's rival team. hoosier is there being his usual self. leckie is the f1 journo who somehow knows everything about everyone and boy, the fans love it. we also have the much-loved fan favourite george luz and his race day engineer carwood lipton! retired-world-champion-now-team-principal dick winters and his ex-teammate boyfriend lewis nixon! and i also have a fair few OCs for this au, they aren't written romantically with any of the boys though, but i love them a lot! i might do a post about them later.
next up, is my k-company space pirates au! [working title: one way trigger (step inside the sun)] ok so it probably won't sound very piratey right now, but stick with me, ok? this is actually the one i'm enjoying writing the most right now. i've drafted all the chapters (6-8 depending on whether i cut this one incident or not) and i've written a lot for this too, so i'll probably be posting this one first. very basic synopsis: eddie jones is an expert in data retrieval. eddie jones is also on the run, and a very, very wanted man. maybe the most wanted fugitive in the galaxy. through an unfortunate twist of fate, romus burgin has been dragged along for the ride. andy haldane was a highly respected intergalactic officer, a captain loved by his men and the authorities above them alike. he also risked it all to aid in their escape. now, he's harbouring them both on his grandfather's old and battered ship, picking up a small ragtag team along the way. whilst they're trying to lay low, a distress call, with a code embedded into the message, is sent directly to the ship. one of the team recognises the code and realises it could only have come from one other person in the whole universe, someone asking for his help, someone he could never say no to. it's the worst time, possibly ever, for them to go on a rescue mission but somehow that's what they're doing.
then we have, an early 2000s battle of the bands au. this is mostly band of brothers, but a few people from one company in the pacific does have a role in the narrative, i'll leave that as a surprise though. basically, george luz enters his newly formed garage band into the campus annual battle of the bands competition, certain that they have a decent enough chance at winning. his bandmates disagree. especially after they see who they're up against. this is actually my other favourite to write at the moment! maybe even more so than the k-company space pirates one. it's a chaptered fic, but i'm trying to keep it contained and not super super long. i'm hoping to keep it at around 6-8 chapters max, but i have a bad habit of not sticking to my drafts, so we'll see. but yeah, i'm having a lot of fun with this and feel free to ask me about who the band members are and other roles that other characters will have!
call it fate, call it karma. aka, my 'eddie jones made it home from the war, but andy haldane did not' oneshot. i'm almost finished writing it, i just have a fair bit of editing to finish up.
the ballroom extravaganza. my winnix spy au! the intelligence officer to secret agent pipeline is too real and lew must suffer the consequences, i'm afraid! i've got this drafted and partially written as a two-shot but it's begging to be expanded on, so i've got it waiting in limbo right now, whilst i decide what i'm gonna do. someone make the decision for me please?
i have two male OCs that i've written for liebgott and nixon, if you wanna know more about them then i'm happy to talk about them and introduce them, but i'm not sure how much people would wanna know so i'll wait.
i have another OC based off a friend that i'm almost finished writing a thing for, i just have to change some things to fit the overall series better.
i also have a silly little thing that i wrote up bc i got depressed and hyperfixated on the tv show bondi rescue for the last two weeks resulting in me basically planning a whole bondi rescue lifeguard au for the pacific boys. i have no idea if anyone other than me would be into that so it'll probably stay in my scrivener files lmao
then i just have some vague gen kill things partially planned but they need a lot more work before they see the light of day lmao. but yes, they're all fucking bradnate. apart from the one bradnatemike thing that my brain begged me to consider, which i promptly gave in to right away.
anyway, sorry i know that was supposed to be an overview but it turned into a very long overview. oops.

Now I haven't played ToS in some time, but one game in particular has stuck with me for the 3 years I was in this fandom, and here it is.
Tumblr media
Big Chungus the Witch (from the perspective of the witch)
It was a crazy all any game that ended with a solo witch win, so you may be wondering wtf happened here well, I'll tell you.
It was a Maf and Vamp game that both had a full team, so the town got steamrolled. There was a jester that won, actually thinking about it, I think there were two, a new player who was a mayor who was the last surviving town.
You might also add that this game lasted 9 days. It was absolute hell. The mayor didn't know how to reveal the Jesters refused to collaborate with the mafia, no one knew who the witch (aka me) was, the vamps were trolling, it was madness.
Eventually, we get both the jester hung and the mayor killed, and at that point, it was a 1v1v1 , vamps were off cooldown for biting, and there was a mafioso left and guess what I did, absolutely nothing which got me a very rare, witch only win screen.
This might be difficult to make into a short story, but I think you can manage, also player numbers below:
12 was the last mafia, 13 was the last vamp, I was number 9, 6 was one of the jester who won, 8 was one of the town who stayed till the end, I can't remember the rest of the roles though but I think 15 and 4 were both mafia if I remembered correctly.
I have an Ao3 account if you want to tag me in with that then the username is:
ShannonWillow19
the meaning of neutral

The town trials were not easy for a witch such as her. They aren't grouped like the mafia, having to go through the trials without knowing who her fellow witches are. Oftentimes, she had to go through it alone, and this meant she had to choose her allies.
"It's only fair that I be lynched as well," the jester announced. "You're all going nowhere. At this rate, you may as well end in a stalemate, but I know none of you want that, so why don't I break it up for you lot?"
Amongst many things, all she wanted was to watch the town wither as did the mafia, the vampires, the serial killers, the arsonists, and the werewolves. She has many options to choose from and endless possibilities because she wasn't bound to a faction.
"The mayor is finally dead. About time," the vampire chirped in a sing-song as she twirled her hair. "Hey witch, why don't we vote off the mafioso?"
"You vampires need townies alive to sustain yourselves, don't ya? The witch wants the town dead, so how about we vote you off instead?" the mafioso chimed in with a smug grin.
The witch watched as they both glared daggers at each other and threw about every desperate attempt at getting her to vote with them, but she’d already made her decision long ago.
She wasn't bound to a faction.
"How about no?"
"Excuse me?" the vampire didn't miss a beat when she'd said those words in indignation.
"What do you mean no?" the mafioso nearly yelled in shock and exasperation. "Listen, you have to vote."
When the sun sets for the two of them, it will rise the next day with her as the only victor. She found the thought exhilarating.
"You're joking, aren't you? I know. It’s more fun to watch the murder," whispered the vampire. "Make the mafioso kill himself. That would be funny."
"I promise the next time we're on a trial together, the mafia will protect you," whispered the mafioso. "Just make sure the vampire stays off me."
When the sun sets and the vampire tears a chunk of flesh off the mafioso's neck as her brain matter splatters into the wall from a gunshot in his attempt at self-defence, the witch would wake alive and roam the ghost town.
She wanted the whole town dead, not just the townies.

I played HI3 when it first came out and then genshin and now HSR and if it's okay, I'd like to rank them a litte, because I have SO many feelings right now.
HI3 is literally the baby, she isn't the firstborn but she is and will forever be the most iconic. It's like a whole saga about love and lesbians and the power that those two things can accomplish. HI3 has some not so great lore in the earlier days--especially when hoyo was really just trying to get out there, and some of their writing decisions don't sit well with me, but HI3 is very clearly a heavy labor of love for the company and with how part 1 ends, you feel some level of closure--which is very rare for these types of games.
I would rank HI3's story a solid 9/10, graphics are 8.9/10 and gameplay is a 5/10(My phone is small and my thumbs are clumsy 😭 it was a challenge)
Genshin. Is certainly there.
In the spirit of fairness, I will say that genshin allowed more people to get into Honkai Impact. On the other hand, genshin's initial release and a year or two after were its strongest, but that game is incredibly boring. While it does look pretty, everything feels empty and unappealing. Paimon is a huge deterrent as she is speaking for you essentially, and it drags the game into a repetitive and annoying sandbox.
This is 100% subjective and is based on my personal feelings, obvi, but my word, I just can't imagine playing genshin again.
I'd give the graphics an 7.9/10. Very pretty but the size of the world is not working in their favor. Story is a 2/10. A very strong opening but QUICKLY falls off and struggles to pick back up. Gameplay 3/10. Again, the game feels incredibly repetitive without any real reward. It's a time sink and the only reason to come back is either because you've already put x amount of hours in or because your favorite character might be in the newest update. Sorry for being a mean lesbian but none of the genshin characters are interesting or appealing enough to be heavily invested in it.
And the newest baby, Star Rail.
NO SPOILERS
Just initial thoughts. Very very fun, influenced by how new it is, but the way it's introduced feels a lot like Honkai Impact 3rd, which I love. Since this is a Honkai game i feel like im more likely to enjoy it and that's due to familiar faces and setting.
Story 8/10 I really like it but I haven't gotten very far. Graphics 9/10. It's a Honkai game, I will say that my laptop had some performance issues with some scenes which is a little sad but I can live with playing on a lower setting. Gameplay 10/10 I LOVE IT SO MUCH LIKE TURN BASED GAMES ARE SO MUCH FUN AND HSR DOES SUCH A GOOD JOB HERE LIKE I LITERALLY DO NOT CARE HOW LONG I SPEND PLAYING THIS GAME BECAUSE THE COMBAT FEELS SO FAIR FUN AND BALANCED IT'S AMAZING.
HI3 has an captain mc who does not exist like they functionally are not real outside of the login screen.
Genshin has an MC but your personality, voice, and thoughts are all dictated by other people and you have little to no real input or say in the game. I HATE games that do that they are so boring. Paimon might as well be the MC for how little you do outside of slashing and climbing.
Star Rails MCs have a bigger air of mystery than Gen's and have more personality as well. Your companions don't speak for you, and MC has voice acting. Games like these typically tend to make the MC loved by all (which is another one of Genshin's problems) but in HSR you can at least understand why people might want to hang around the MC.
All in all, I feel like HSR is the game that deserves to follow the success of HI3. It's real fun and more focused. I enjoy the characters I met and the gameplay is absolutely steller.
Hope you have fun once you get to play!
anon. ANON. I love this so much! also same hat! i've also played hi3, genshin and star rail from release!
I totally agree about hi3 being a labour of love and about it giving a level of closure that I didn't particularly expect. I also agree that it begins quite confused because it was supposed to be a ggz sequel and then it wasn't and then they brought some lore over from ggz but also retconned some stuff... hi3 hasn't always been pretty lore-wise but overall I am super happy with it <3 I know what you mean about playing it on mobile though, once I got a laptop that could handle the game I had a lot more fun lol
I also agree with your thoughts about genshin - it's super pretty, it had a strong start and I genuinely enjoyed the story at the beginning, but I have also dropped off and may only return if there are big story developments. I agree that it's stunted by the mc being silent or a self-insert character, for me I would prefer to play as an actual character with established lore and opinions etc. there's also not enough lesbianism for me and I haven't been really grasped by a character besides with aesthetics? whereas i'm super interested in the lore of pretty much all of the honkai cast.
I also much prefer the way that hi3 deals with story progression and the character development of the cast through new battlesuits. I think I saw someone mention this somewhere but you can literally see bronya, for instance, age from 14 at the beginning of the story into a fully-grown adult by apho part 2. I think sticking with a consistent and slightly smaller cast allows them to really develop the characters in a way they can't do as well in genshin. I think the idea that you meet a new batch of characters for each nation is a good one, and it's really nice to play events and see older characters again, but it doesn't allow for the same level of detail that hi3 loves to dump on people.
thank you for no spoilers on the star rail part too! I will be opening it right after answering this~ super excited by how much you seem to like it because that's probably a sign that I will also like it 👀 I was kinda put off when I saw the mcs for star rail, but hopefully they're like you said and have more of a functional role in the story overall!
I really liked reading this ask it was very fun and we have a lot of the same opinions! i'm glad you like star rail so far and I endorse your rankings as absolutely correct with no flaws 😇

20 Questions
Got tagged by @marezelle (like a month ago, whoops) and this looks fun, so I'm gonna try it!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Officially 37, unofficially 57-ish (I have a lot on anon right now, plus some semi-ancient FFN stuff posted under a pseud)
2. What’s your total AO3 words count?
Apparently, 644,538.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Kind of a lot? One "it's complicated" fandom which I tend to stay on anon for, especially lately; a fair bit for a very specific corner of Free!, also for Natsume's Book of Friends. Voltron's an ex-fandom but I had fun with it right when it started; there's a handful of other anime I've cycled through. I've got an Undertale longfic I'd really like to get back to one of these days. Lately, a whole bunch of stuff for the 9 Worlds series by Victoria Goddard, which is both amazing in itself and also has my favorite fan community to date.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Names Gone Before—my one and only Adventure Zone fic, and a oneshot, but apparently it was a hit lol
Chasing Silver, Chasing Gold—my beautiful monstrosity of a love letter to the characters introduced in the third season of Free!, and which came out too late for most of the English-speaking fandom to notice it very much (this goes for the show itself and also the timing of my publishing🥲). I am so grateful that so many people have managed to find it regardless!
Equivalence—aforementioned Undertale longfic. I really want to finish it one of these days, but I know what's coming in the last arc and it intimidates me. XP
Omimai—of all my Natsume fics, I'll admit I wouldn't have figured this to be the top one. But I guess Natori is a fan favorite, and I do appreciate that it's very solidly a gen fic that gets a lot of love regardless.
Like trust falls from towers—aforementioned s1-era Voltron fic. It was an experiment to get me posting more, I had fun with it while it lasted, and I got some truly wonderful comments and support from folks reading along while I was working on it. I still go back and reread it sometimes, and I think it was pretty good.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I always try to! I want to show appreciation and make sure people know that going to the effort it takes to write a comment means a great deal to me.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
That's a tough one. Probably Pistachio Christmas Tree, as it's a snapshot of a really rough time in the POV character's life and doesn't really show any signs of things getting better for him anytime soon. (All my angsty endings come from canon compliance, lol)
OH. Or Chasing Fingerprints, which is a Nabari no Ou AU oneshot that I wrote back in high school. I wrote it under some weird constraints and don't really like it all that much, but the ending is ambiguous and deeply angsty.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
That is also weirdly difficult to say! Snapshots for Natsume, Slow your breath down (just take it slow) for Victoria Goddard's novel Plum Duff, and turning in your hand for At the Feet of the Sun (also by Goddard). Two of those three are wintertime fluff; I enjoy that subgenre a whole lot.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No. I've occasionally had some slightly weird interactions, but overall I'd say even those were well and enthusiastically meant.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Occasionally, and I'm not sure what kind it'd count as. Insecure, possibly? (me or the characters, either-or XP)
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Only two so far! The weirder one was my first-ever fic, where I technically crossed over Twilight with both old!Who and new!Who. Then there's Clowder, which crossed over two of Yuhki Kamatani's manga from pretty different eras and genres and which I'm pretty darned proud of.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge, no.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I had someone ask once, a while back, but at the moment I don't remember which fic it was, or if I ended up hearing how it went.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
...If adding to a bredlik compilation counts, then yes? And I've also done a fair bit of writing to requested prompts for gift exchanges and the like, which isn't the same thing as cowriting but which feels at least a little bit similar.
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
Oh man, how can I choose? 😭 At the top this has to be a tie between Miharu & Yoite (Nabari no Ou, QPR extraordinaire) and Yukito/Touya (Cardcaptor Sakura, TRC, etc). But also Merthur was my first ship-ship. HiyoIku (Free!) for writeability and general fucked-up-ness, but I'm not always 100% sure I ship it, tragically. Natsume and Tanuma for the same uncertainty minus about 90% of the toxicity, whee.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I'm not going to say "doubt," but uh. A couple of "it's complicated" fandom pieces (especially the ones I originally meant to be series) and also the Undertale longfic. Also some 9 Worlds WIPs, but I haven't started publishing those ones yet, either.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Characterization is a big one—it matters a lot to me and also I've been complimented on it. Fic is my love letter to canon and so I tend to focus on what I love about canon the most, which is almost always the characters' interiority and/or relationship dynamics. I also think I'm usually fairly good at matching the tone of the original, though admittedly the translation aspect of anime stuff gives me a bit of leeway there.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Logistics. I will forget who I put in a room over a certain number of characters, and explaining how people get to and from things (or even appear in a scene) is a terrible chore. (And that's just people—my track record for items, especially furniture, is even worse.) I suspect that my overall pacing also suffers from this because coming up for practical reasons for scenes to start can be difficult.
Also scene transitions, because I write things out of order. :B
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I probably won't, for several reasons. For one, I feel like without a dedicated beta, my errors would be immersion-breaking for anyone with high enough Japanese proficiency. Also, on the other side of things, presumably most of my readers wouldn't be able to make the jump from English into Japanese (which is the only other language I'm remotely able to write in), so accessibility would be an issue. That said, I've occasionally tried to factor in what I know about Japanese and "translate" (at least a bit) to adjust how I write dialogue, when writing fics based on anime.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Doctor Who/Twilight, lol. (I cared a lot about them both, okay? Also I thought trying to mash up their canonical vampire mythologies would be funny! And I was definitely right about at least one of those things.)
20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
Oh this is also mean. It's gotta be Chasing Silver, Chasing Gold though. It kicked my ass but I also put my heart and soul into it, and its length, completion, and the responses I've gotten to it have all combined to profoundly affect how I see myself as a writer. (Which may sound a little suspect, but the thing is, I spent years massively looking up to people who could write longfic, most of all to people that could do so and finish. It meant so so much to be able to join those ranks myself, whether or not I manage to do it again someday.) It genuinely feels like one of the most significant things I've done with my life, and it's something I think I'll always be proud of myself for managing to write through to the end.
Annnd done! I'm gonna tag @octopus--writer just for fun ;)

hello @skijjiki!!! thanks for tagging me friend!!!!
Favorite time of year: every single day that i grace this beautiful planet ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_ I unironically love Christmas so much. I love the cold and I love the fact that we can slack for a little bit and I love having an excuse and indulge myself by seeing and meeting with my loved ones. I also love spring! (<- spoken with the privilege of someone who only has mild allergies) And summer when it isn't boiling outside!
Favorite drinks: boba, COFFEE, ginger ale, wine (the semisweet ones and especially semisweet red wine ❤), fresh squeezed orange juice, HOT MILK WITH HONEY and generally whatever has sugar in it
Collect anything?: Littlest Pet Shop!!! When i was in kindergarden there was that one kid that had SACKS of lps and from then on i decided that it was my fate to defeat them... (i just said to my mum to buy me lps whenever she could and i also asked her every christmas to tell santa claus i needed the big packs with them) I also have collections of rocks and shells from different beaches that i went to! Lately i try to collect stickers from cons and such (<-literally has went to one (1) con so far) and chupa-chups cans bc they look pretty 👉👈 (not sponsored)
Favorite fics: OH BOY OH BOY! DO I HAVE THE FICS FOR YOU! I'll try to be brief: 💼 OK NO JOKE, I'll try to be brief: (in no particular order, except for the first one) 1) it's not living (if it's not with you) by brella (hq!!) TOP 1!!! IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS FELLAS! Legit, tsukkiyama isnt even my thing but this one ticks all my boxes: desperate lead? check. the grumpy one mellows out for the sunshine one? check. the inherent value of change and becoming better by loving and wanting to express it properly and by that becoming a better person? check. GROUNDHOG DAY AU?? YES PLEASE! It's.. It's very good. Please give it a read if you want. (brella has written many good hq fics btw please check them out!) 2) Work-Related Risk Factors by parkernoir (mp100) Case fic, angsty and probably my favourite mp100 ever! It has Serizawa! It has Tome! It has Reigen trauma! It made me cry my eyes out in agony! I have a very soft spot for this. It has serirei in it but mostly it's gen if i remember correctly? yeah 3) beginners by silvercistern (mp100) fair warning it's about sex and it doesn't have just steamy scenes, it discusses generally sex and stuff. That being said it has ace Reigen in it and it made me cry 👍 4) The Negligible Self by ch_am (mp100) anything and everything by camp is a gift honestly. Angsty generally, full of whump specifically, it makes the soft, tender moments hit better and it's still in progress! Join the fun as i lose my mind with every single update! Yay! (people in the comments in ao3 are also trying to find out what is going on and it's fun) (it has a prequel too which is really good and canon-adjacent) 5) Kintsugi by SpicyChibi (mp100) it took me a week to recover from reading this. mp100 fanwriters have a way of capturing the vulnerability of serirei in a way that physically hurts me. Tender, good, I love them, I love them, I love them. Ongoing and 90,000 words so far. 6) Like A Cheap Suit, You Can Wear Me Out by Vulcanodon (mp100) written like a romantic comedy and made me laugh at every twist and turn of the plot. The last scene is forever ingrained in me and it actually makes me emotional. Case fic again and a very fun one 7) Heart Rate Rapid by Justkeeptrekkin (mp100) teacher au, all the children in one class, ongoing, literally finshed it yesterday, ACE REIGEN BELOVED. (so far no explicit content so don't pay too much mind to the rating, there are discussions of sex but only briefly and on a surface level) I love their banter and the transition from friendship to something more... sigh 8) where the night goes by bigspoonnoya (hq!!) 'the sad gay with the happy ending' tag got to me. I love bittersweet stories with happy endings (can you tell) and this one has kagehina in it.... utterly head over heels for stories where they meet many years later. 9) fake it, make it by zadderlee (hq!!) FAVOURITE KAGEHINA FIC RIGHT THERE! ongoing since good old 2019 but the author has said they are going to continue it at some point! good characterisation, i had forgotten how good it is but i keep getting back to this. 10) That Baby Does Not Belong to You (But It Could) by multifascinate (talkativelock) (hq!!) bokuaka with baby hinata. need i say more. oh, yeah and they are 20-somethings. And in college. the romance aspect is there but it mostly focuses on other things. And i love it.
anyway these are my ao3 recs bone apple teeth (pay attention to the content warnings and the tags. thanks!)
Favorite video games: i am an awful gamer but generally the story-based ones intrigue me and the ones that are fun to play together with friends! Disco elysium, Ace attorney, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros and animal crossing!
i tag @livingonyoghurtandspite @horson @raph-red-fan and whoever wants to do this ✌ ( cough please give me fic recs i beg cough)

The more I see of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the less interested I become. This is the first time I have ever felt that way about a mainline Pokemon title.
These are just my honest thoughts, so if you don't feel the same way, that is great! I'm glad that you are excited for it!
Like many others, I have dreamed of an open-world Pokemon game for as long as that style of game has existed, but it seems to me like TPCi has possibly been focusing on the wrong things this time around?
Many of the new Pokemon that have leaked... Aren't great. The designs are all over the place imho and for every great one, there are easily 3-5 that are pretty awful looking. Is this how people felt about Gen 5? (I actually love the Gen 5 Pokemon lolol)
The open world aspect has to be amazing for how terrible the Pokemon are. I feel like this gen's gimmick is yet another play on Digivolution and the raids don't really sound any better than SwSh.
The fact that TPCi/Gamefreak didn't set the gyms to scale is incredibly lazy. The fact that you can do them in any order is effectively cancelled out by the lack of effort put into this aspect. I honestly don't know much about game design (I do know that Gamefreak isn't great at it reading posts from people who have analyzed prior mainline games' code though), but if they didn't want to create code to auto-scale the leaders, they could have at least formulated 8 different set teams for each gym leader that just automatically changes based on the Pokemon levels of the last gym you defeated. (For example, they could create teams in ranges. So for the first gym the levels could be 5-10 then the next one you visit would swap out for the team that has levels 10-15, the next would swap to the team with levels 15-20, etc.) And before anyone says that is an awful lot of work... Not really? They would just have to create 64 teams (8 each for 8 gym leaders). Pokemon is the most successful franchise in history. They could afford to do this.
I admit that I wasn't one of the people worried about Dexit when SwSh launched. It honestly didn't bother me and I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was such a jump in the overall look and feel of the game. Now that SwSh has been out for three years, I'm kinda pissed that Scarlet and Violet are launching with fewer returning Pokemon than SwSh (290-ish vs 320-ish) at launch. My favorite Pokemon line isn't returning this time around and according to leaks, I honestly don't really care for large swathes of the returning roster. Many of this game's returning Pokemon are ones that have been left out of prior Switch releases. This means that if they can import models from other Switch Pokemon games, they could easily bring them all back (which I know they won't because they want that Pokemon Home $$$).
The just-barelu-confirmed future/past forms sound confusing and not well thought out, the addition of TM creation and breaking is annoying, and there is still some basic info we just don't know.
And then there is the Ed Sh33ran of it all. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I cannot stand that guy and from what I've seen, nobody else really can either? I have seen zero positive reactions about his song being included. I hope that someone will release a patch that removes it from the game. Maybe it's misophonia, maybe it's the fact that I just can't stand the sound of his voice, but what a slap in the face it was to include him on the in-game soundtrack (to be fair most of the artists TPCi partnered with for that album they released were mostly ones I can't stand lol).
Anyways, I guess the positive aspects are the fact that it is open world and also that the character customization is more advanced than last time (here's hoping clothing isn't gender locked, which it was in SwSh - I haven't seen that discussed anywhere yet).
As of right now though, as pretty much a lifelong Pokemon fan, this game seems very mid at best and the initial (official) reactions I've seen are from people trying way too hard/phoning it in. I also have concerns about how well the game will play at launch because the version that is packaged on physical carts had some game breaking bugs as told by leakers and people who were beta-testing the games who have previously been right about so many things. I'm sure there will be a day one patch to fix some of the issues, but there were some pretty bad ones that the leakers said Gamefreak wasn't confident they would be able to patch in time for day one.
At the moment, and I hate to say this because this is a game I, like many others, have been looking forward to for a very long time, but I am not planning to get it at launch. It just seems so messy and rushed and half-baked. Hopefully it will improve once the game comes out and patches are issued and hopefully, as with SwSh they will add more Pokemon back, but currently I'm not exactly hopeful given how sloppy the game feels.

Gen VI, Complete!
You read that correctly, we've made it through PokeFrance (Official term for Kalos, honest!) and have compiled the data!
With that said, let us begin the usual look at this generations...
Sultans of Smash!
(Which is just my fancy way of saying they got more "Smash" than "Pass" votes)
So come with me on this fabulous journey in smashing! Our Smashables are (under the Read More because, you know, this gonna take a while):
1. So for this generation, we do have three starters on the list! But, sadly, Chesnaught couldn't make it. So for our first starter, we instead have our second middle evolution, Braixen! Suppose it's not hard to see why, everyone loves magical girls and Braixen certainly counts! Counts enough to get a 66.4% Smash rating, which is pretty good says I.
2. But far surpassing Braixen is the greatest of Pokemon fire mages, Delphox! And when I say surpass, I mean really surpasses! Delphox has the honor of being the first Starter Pokemon to make it into the Gods of Smash, with a mighty 80.9% Smash rating! There's no stopping the magic of this witch! ...Side note, I think I will be naming my next Delphox "Browser", because she's a Firefox. (Ba-Dum-Tss)
3. Similar to the samurai, ninja have long been one of the more interesting mainstays of Japanese pop culture (especially abroad), and are almost always popular. So it's understandable that Pokemon's own ninja, Greninja, would have their fair share of friends and admirers! And with a smash rating of 72.5% in Standard Form, god damn what fans they have! The Ash-Greninja form, while not quite as popular Standard Form, also makes it in with a 52% Smash rating! Looks like not even a ninja of this calibur can hide how smashable they are.
4. This next Pokemon has a pretty accurate name. Florges, a combination of "Flower" and Gorgeous", certainly describes them pretty well if you ask me! And judging by that solid 67.8% Smash rating she's earned herself, I'd say many of y'all agree!
5. Everyone knows the "Jerk with a Heart of Gold" character archetype, and the closely related "Bruiser with a Soft Center". And it cannot be understated that these character archetypes are super popular. So of course, combining them into a single Pokemon and making that Pokemon a panda? Instant recipe for success, I'm sure! And said Pokemon exists in the form of Pangoro! Are they loved? I dunno, let's ask that 67.9% Smash rating of theirs. ...Survey says yes.
6. Many of us love cats, but often wish it was easier to understand them (or at the very least make ourselves understood to them). Fortunately for the Pokemon universe, they do have cats that can understand us and be more easily understood in the form of the psychic Meowstic! Coming in at 68.1% Smashable for Female Meowstic and 59.3% Smashable for Male Meowstic, it seems some of y'all really appreciate these cats! ...Now if only Female Meowstic didn't tend to fall into the French/Kalosian stereotype of being kind of a jerk (according to the Pokedex, anyways)
7. If there's two things I've seen a number of tumblr users like, it's tentacles and hypno stuff. So with that in mind, Malamar having both makes it very unsurprising they've gained entry to the Sultans of Smash! That said, at a 51.7% Smash rating, I have to admit I expected larger numbers. But anyways... Wait wha- ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOSQUID.
8. It's a tale as old as time, people look at the Tyrannosaurus Rex as a kid and think "That's them, that's the coolest fucking dinosaur ever!" While some move on or get different favorite dinosaurs, for some that passion never fades. And that passion for the majestic t.Rex, it seems, translates itself onto Tyrantrum! And at 53% Smashability, seems this king will have no reason to go on a tantrum. (Thank god, I don't think we could handle the repair bills to the property if they did...)
9. The Aurora Borealis has fascinated humans since they've first been able to observe that wondrous display of light. Thankfully for those of us who don't live in polar regions, the color-changing sails of Aurorus can help capture the beauty of such a natural phenomenon! Certainly, many of you have expressed a desire to admire this Pokemon up close and personal, if that 65.9% smash rating is any indication! Though really, the ice crystals and geometric patterns on their scales also do a lot for the appeal of this cool customer.
10. Attention everyone, it is once again Real Eeveelution Hours! And for this list's Eeveelution, we have everyone's favorite walking trans flag, Sylveon! With their extendable ribbons, piercing blue eyes, and 69.3% Smash rating, it seems Sylveon continues the time-honored Eeveelution tradition of being absolutely smashable!
11. Hear me out here, what if snails and slugs were also... Dragons? If your answer to learning this was "Oh fuck yeah that sounds awesome!", then I have Good News! This Snail/Slug Dragon I proposed is a thing in the form of Goodra, with Kalosian Goodra being more slug-like and Hisuian Goodra being more snail-like! However people like them though, considering Kalosian Goodra has a 71.4% Smash rating and Hisuian Goodra has a 61.6% rating, it's clear people do like these dragons quite a bit.
12. It may not be Halloween, but for many of us there's always time for Jack-o'-Lanterns! And with Gourgeist, the next Pokemon on our list, you can have a jack-o'-lantern that can also be smashed, something a number of you want if that 50.4% Smash rating is any indication!
13. And next up on the list, we have a noisy one! Ever wondered what would happen if bats could be loud enough to shatter anything by yelling at it? Well, if Noivern and their 68% Smash rating is any indication, the answer is "People would want to smash it!" Though really, looking at them, I can safely say you'd have to be blind as a bat to not see the appeal. Sorry, the pun had to be made.
14. I'm gonna be honest, I tried thinking long and hard on how to be crafty with my statement regarding this next one, but I just can't do it. I'd need more than one lifetime to make something fitting enough for this majestic deer! Fortunately, Xerneas can give one all the time in the world they need to think of stuff! And judging by that 66.5% Smash rating, I think a few of y'all have a few ideas on what to do with all the time Xerneas' immortality will give you...
15. But where there's life, there must, sadly, be death. Fortunately, death is this case is the very cool looking Yveltal, who has achieved an impressive 63.5% Smash rating! Seems that for some of y'all, "Death comes for you" has a different meaning...
16. Balance is an important part of any ecosystem. Too much death and you have no ecosystem, but too much life and you risk one particular part of that ecosystem overwhelming the rest. Fortunately, to prevent this from happening, Zygarde is here! And judging by how 50% Forme has a 52.3% Smash rating and Complete Forme has a 61.2% Smash rating, I'd say a number of you wish to show Zygarde your appreciation.
17. Diamonds are great. They're shiny, they're stupidly hard to damage, and they can come in a variety of colors! And that's just in our universe, the Pokemon universe is lucky and has Diancie, a living diamond Pokemon! And if Standard Form's 56.1% Rating and Mega Diancie's 65.3% rating is any indication, Diancie also adds "Very smashable" to the list of good diamond traits!
18. And for the finale, I present to you... Another Pokemon who only had an alternate form get in? Yep! It's Hoopa, the genie in a bottle Pokemon! Specifically, it's Hoopa Unbound, who makes it in with a 55.6% Smash rating! And with his rings, they'll show you the wo- Eh? What? Copyright law?! Damn it! Ok my lawers just advised me to not finish that joke, so sadly I can't leave y'all on the Aladdin reference. But I can say that considering Hoopa has a history of stealing treasure with their rings, I'm beginning to suspect some of y'all have a thing for Pokemon with criminal tendencies...
And thus is the Gen VI Who's Who of Smashing concluded, bringing us up to 136 Sultans of Smash! Well then let's see what's next... Gen VII? Oh man, we've got some choice Sultans of Smash incoming...!
