People can’t understand how sensei’s work in the naruto fandom and it’s so frustrating
Like if you look at any other anime you will see that the main character how multipule sensei’s, not because any past sensei is bad but because what they could teach them is limited
Iruka is there to teach Naruto he’s allowed to be loved and cared for
Kakashi taught Naruto the basics and the teamwork and connection he needed
Jiraiya helped Naruto improve his skills and protected him during a dangerous tume when the akatsuki was hunting him and he could not yet defend himself
Kakashi then came back in and helped Naruto create his own jutsu which official helped him surpass Kakashi (we see Kakashi say this)
To improve more Naruto obv needs another sensei/master, so Fukasaku comes in to teach him the Sage technique which he needs to defeat Pein
And then when it comes to Bijuu training/connection, Bee is the only one who can teach Naruto that. He’s the only Jinchuriki who 1) still has his binuu 2) has a connection with said bijuu that naruto can learn from (Gaara and Shukaku never had a similar connection). Kakashi, Jiraiya, Fukasaku, Iruka. None of them could teach Naruto about connecting with Kurema in any way close to Bee because they didn’t understand the connection between a jinchuuriki and Bijuu like Bee did
Each of Naruto’s Sensei’s serve a purpose. They help him grow in the ways he needs to grow, and actively only one is super shitty toward him at any point in time (stealing his money, telling him to stay in his sexy no jutsu form)
Instead of fighting over ‘who taught him best’ how about fandom learn the point of the story progression and Naruto’s specific needs with each sensei/master
Edit: i forgot one thing
Even after becoming the strongest shinobi in the world, Naruto still has things to learn and he goes back to learning from Kakashi
It’s Kakashi who preppared him for the day when he’ll take over as Hokage, and Iruka who is tasked with helping Naruto study to become a jonin.
So even after everything Naruto goes back to his original two sensei’s again and continues to learn from them, just not as a shinobi trying to become more powerful, but as a leader preparing to take on more responsibilities

If we're going to see Havers again in series 5, I hope it is to bring the Captain closure and help him come to terms with who he is. Perhaps an old letter from Havers surfaces, one he never sent because it contains all the things he always wanted to tell the Captain but couldn't, and then we'll get glimpses into their shared past again, only this time the Captain knows what all the soft smiles and lingering looks and accidental touches meant, and he finally allows himself to realise that he returned every single one of them.
And maybe, just maybe, the episode will end with him looking out of the window again, and as he watches the ghost of Havers leave once more, he whispers for all to hear, "I should have never let him go."

history 101 💛
This was originally just supposed to be me having fun exploring what Ephemer would be like as a teacher but it got a bit out of hand in a good way (but I think I spent way too long on this lol)
Notes:
I wholeheartedly believe that teaching is Eph’s true passion. While writing Overmorrow, I came to realize that his role as a teacher/master is necessary in ensuring that light and the will of the keyblade lives on, but it’s also something he would just genuinely enjoy doing on a personal level. Aside from being able to infodump to his heart’s content (that’s a big deal! 😄), he can also help, inspire, and lead as a teacher! I think if he does actually establish the Keyblade order/academy in canon, it would be his pride and joy
Eph’s actual classroom may not have looked like kh3/dr’s, but I like to believe it was probably similarly designed. (He learned a lot about teaching from Hestia 🥰)
Lyra first appeared here :) the rest of the students are new, I made them up on the spot
my ass could not have handled making Overmorrow as a webcomic

I am begging on my hands and knees for somebody to get me within the walls of Watcher HQ. I will give each of them $6 individually to let me study their brains and their thought process.
This is one of the few things in recent memory that has gripped my attention and I am following actively.
It is so fascinating to me how a fumble of historic proportion was made in 14 minutes that they destroyed eight years of goodwill and trust. Subscribers are falling faster than they can bot them. The Internet is circling, they smell blood.
I just feel bad for anybody who doesn’t make decisions and now their job could be in jeopardy but other than that, this fumble is earthshaking… For them! I go to bed at night and I sleep like a rock because I didn’t inadvertently call the people who have been supporting me for eight years broke

hiya! just wanted to say how i admire your confidence about your opinions on splatoon tumblr,, which can honestly be scary,,, but anyways i strongly agree with your opinions about frye!! i love her she deserves the world…. frye nation rise up let’s win a splatfest
FRYE ICON SPOTTED BASED AS FUCK!!! 🫵🫵🫵
Honestly that's real. I mean I was pretty vocal about my perspectives and opinions on twitter and weebs (as far as i'm concerned they were white) hated my ass for it so I eventually did leave cause that's a hellhole.
And for once this time, I don't blame a majority of the issue on the designers at nintendo who made Frye. It rlly is the shit bias of a large population of this planet.
Although I do blame nintendo's issue to first make less popular teams have a chance in splatfests and then immediately give frye the majority/child options: Family (seriously what % of children can celebrate solo or have the freedom to celebrate with friends) and saturday (the ease of appeal option, shiver of course got the workaholics with friday) I do wish they can give frye niche but insane options to actually utilize the new system better. Frye needs to absolutely win a splatfest but it's not gonna happen if they continue with the current trend with the newly balanced system.
If support for spoon 3 really is going to end 2 years from launch without frye winning more than 1 you know it's bad bad. It's already been bad bad and a lot of us seen the bias in the raw, but damn. And honestly, even if it sucks to look at and experience for a lot of people, once again it proves a point. I don't want to hear anymore "Stop making it about race" in splatoon after everyone seeing this. The only option is to move forward, you can't go back to ignorance anymore after this. The overall character design choices are going in good direction, it's just everyone hates to see it now that the dark character isn't shy and easily made into submissive fetish material. lol! I can only hope that whoever made these designs and approved of them, don't stop continuing to make those decisions that continue to diversify their cast. Again, splatoon 4 needs 4 fryes. I rest my case.

is anyone else interested in joining my server? not quite ready to invite people yet but should be soon. just gauging interest right now. “like” or reply to this post and when i’m ready i’ll send you an invite.
server will probably be dual purpose.
there will be (1) a semi-public side oriented toward general discussion (topics like politics, books, history, philosophy, religion, media, science, tech, etc) and community building (nothing is set in stone yet but i am imagining activities like book club, movie watching, playing games, contests and giveaways, etc). and there will be (2) a private side dedicated to more focused discussions and internal cult matters.
the server won’t be a “safe space” -- i’m fine with a bit of edge (within ToS. not trying to get terminated.) -- but i do want this server (at least the semi-public side) to be /relatively/ welcoming and civil. so if you’re egregiously toxic or vulgar or prone to shitflinging or sperging out you won’t be welcome here. neither will you be welcome if you’re overly sensitive.
otherwise, as long as you follow the rules, you will be fine. though i always reserve the right to executively veto your presence for any reason.

Company whose advent calendar I bought back in fucking August and still don't have: Don't worry, it'll be shipped out this week and we guarantee you'll have it by 1 Dec.
The optimist in me: They still have 18ish hours. There's still time! :)
The pessimist in me: They only have 18 hours before its proven that they're liars. And those 18 hours are a Sat so the chance of them being sent out in the time frame they promised is incredibly unlikely. >:(
The part of me that wants to assume the best of people: This has all been an honest mistake. They really did think that they'd be shipped out at this point and they'll do their best to rectify the situation, like doing faster shipping or something.
The part of me that assumes the worst of people: They just straight up lied to my fucking face, multiple times at this point, and considering it took me four emails and asking to speak to a higher up to get any information out of them, they're definitely lying liars who lie all the time.

obviously it would be a strategic nightmare, but i’m just thinking of the universe where the surviving jedi rebuild together in the aftermath of order 66
for the first months, they built temporary shelters and wooden shacks. it’s a new and strange environment so they occupy younglings by taking them for walks through the woods to collect food and explore.
there are no villages and towns nearby, but there are birds and all kinds of 4-legged animals that curiously approach. every now and again, mace has the younglings sit down in the soft grass and be very quiet. gently, he draws the creatures closer with the force so that the children can let them eat berries out of their palms
during clear nights master skywalker points out constellations and stars in the night sky. he tells them what it’s like to break atmosphere and fly. subtly, he plants directions and coordinates to safer planets, hoping it’ll stick
“that’s coruscant,” mace windu whispers, after a little one asks where the old temple is.
they all work during the day to build their new home, their Temple, from the ground up
it doesn’t look like a temple, and the kids very kindly point this out.
“wherever jedi commune with the force and wherever you are, that’s where the temple will be,” padawan dume explains, patting yarkov’s head fondly. he flushes a bit when master windu smiles and nods in approval.
in another time, younglings would watch in awe as jedi masters used the force to pile stone atop stone. now the jedi rebuild with their hands instead.
soon they begin planting a garden outside the Temple’s walls. masters, padawans, younglings kneel side by side along the temple wall
master obi-wan puts his very interesting botanical knowledge to use (for the first time, anakin points out) as he tells the younglings what kinds of flowers and fruits and peppers they’re planting. his hands guiding theirs as they dig up the soil.
dirty hands tug at their masters and their friends robes, soon turning into handfuls of dirt thrown at each other
no one scolds them. this batch of younglings could stand to misbehave more, the adults privately think, as they get dragged into making a bigger mess of their clothes.
of course, with a dozen or so jedi younglings there are lot of antics and dangerous stunts
master obi-wan and master mace have practiced the art of saying no and expressing disapproval, managing it with a mere look. so when a youngling does something they know they weren’t supposed to, the first thing they do is find master anakin. usually he’s behind the Temple, building new chairs for their table or repairing their cranky vaporator and water purifier.
innocent and ignorant of many things, all of them know that he’s the best person to put between them and master obi-wan’s disappointment (which really, is mild at best against them)
his lungs don’t quite cooperate with him the way he wants, but anakin smiles and lets himself be dragged along to explain (to the older masters’ poorly hidden amusement) why exactly the tomatoes have been smushed or to help a padawan retrieve their saber from a tree (which tree it was, no one remembers)
later on some of the clones join them at the Temple. they tease the kids, pat them affectionately on the head, and generally indulge them (not that there’s any lack of that here)
sometimes they take them out and show them how to shoot. there was a long discussion, but ultimately it was agreed that this was a necessary skill for them to have in a galaxy like this. the kids are thrilled to show off trick shots they learned to the masters, who while cringing a bit internally, clap and cheer
(“uncivilized,” obi-wan jokes to anakin quietly, a fond look in his eye.
anakin elbows him, “i’m sure if you practiced you could get just as good as yarkie.” he teases mock sympathetically.
“excuse me? i’ll have you know that i am-“
mace rolls his eyes and some of the kids smother giggles.)
