my inspiration and thought process below the cut!

so in honor of pride month, I really wished to make a piece focusing on transness, something about myself that I hold near and dear to my heart! while on the lookout for inspiration, i stumbled upon this quote again and it felt like a sign

obviously I fell in love with the idea and wished to portray something that referenced it, leading to the piece as it is now: one side bloodied and referenced as the cruelty of the fates, the other sweet as honey once the work has been done (meant to be joyful)! while it could be read as two different ways of viewing being trans from the perspective of the individual in question, i like to see it as a potential start point into a hopeful future (initial pain into trans joy). i feel like the title really helps to shape the piece, which is why it's one of my view pieces that actually has one haha

overall, the mood i wished to portray is one of hope and progress towards someplace good, while still acknowledging the broader breadth of lived experiences of my community :3

As someone who has been deep (AND I MEAN DEEP) in the trenches of Deltarune theories and analysis, I thought I'd share a few ones that you might want to catch up on before Chapters 3 & 4 drop for real, so we can be on the lookout for more secrets! There is so much thought and love and secrets inbuilt into the series, so its really fun to learn about this stuff!

Bolded videos are the ones I would highly recommend watching before Ch3 and 4 drop.

"Everything to look out for in Chapters 3 and 4 of Deltarune" by KazooCat covers most of the lore we are expecting to see in these chapters from the previous newsletters and special events. If you just want a quick recap of what's coming and where we're at, this is a great resource.

2. "The Burgerpants Conspiracy" by cammyboiG is a bit of a crack theory and a very silly video, and it isn't something I necessarily subscribe to, but it does cover some big theories and important ideas, such as chess theory, several candidates for the knight and some general lore, and it's all around a good time with a genuine love for the source material. Go check it out!

3. "The Importance of The Dreamurr divorce in Chapter 3" by StuffedAlpaca discusses the Dreamurr family throughout Undertale and Deltarune with some really insightful and empathetic analysis, very good video for any Kris fans and will almost certainly be relevant in Chapter 3. All around lovely video and a great channel.

I would also recommend Stuffed Alpaca's video on:

A) "Susie and Ralsei's relationship will be more important than you think" discussing how their opposing relationships with both Kris and the player might affect the storyline

4. "Why is Kris so weird?" by HalfBreadChaos. This is a must-watch in my opinion, although I am a bit biased because I absolutely love this channel, it's incredibly smart. Covers some really important elements of Kris's characters and their relevance to magic and ocean and death imagery, and absolutely opened my eyes to some deeper lore within the game. Also, HBC uses a TTS due to their disabilities, so if thats a no for you, thats fair, but please don't hassle them or their community for it, they aren't a bot!

B) "Why is Berdly in Deltarune? An (Over)Analysis" A beautiful character analysis of Berdly for his fans to celebrate and his haters to learn a little bit more about him.

I would also really recommend HalfBreadChaos's video on:

A) "Who is December Holiday in Deltarune" A MUST WATCH if you are behind on Dess lore, or you still don't know who she is. This is your best resource to learn about her.

B) "Don't forget, who is with us in the dark?" discussing potential candidates for the singer of the main song of the series, including taking apart the japanese characters and their significance to each character.

C) "What the Four Shadows Foreshadow" discussing the foreshadowing of the shadow puzzle in Queens mansion in Ch.2.

D) "Puppets and Cats: Elements Revealed in The Spamton Sweepstakes" discussing the element system in the pvp, which will probably become increasingly significant in later chapters.

E) "Who is the Man With The Egg in Deltarune?" discussing the secret egg room and its significance to Gaster and the knight as well as other easter eggs.

F)The smile motifs in Deltarune, which as you might guess, covers the way smiling is used in UTDR universe and why.

Honestly, just go watch all HalfBreadChaos's videos if you want to learn Deltarune lore in full, they use code and translations and previous lore expertly to flesh out theories. But these are my favourites/ the most important ones to know.

5. "Noelle's mother worries me" by Dorked. Covers a bit about what we know about Noelle's family relationships and how it relates to Noelle's personality. Will also probably be relevant in future chapters.

I would also recommend from Dorked:

A) "Ralsei and The Player's concerning relationship." What it says on the tin, but incredibly important for any Ralsei analysis.

B) "The Sans & Ice-E Conspiracy, and Deltarune Papyrus Mysteries" maybe a bit out there, but it does provide a lot of insight into ICE-E and its relevance.

C) "Toriel and Asgore's parenting problems." Like Stuffed Alpaca's video, this covers how Toriel and Asgore's parenting issues affect their children. A lovely character analysis.

Again, a really lovely and insightful channel. These are just a few picks and I would highly recommend you check out more of their videos.

6. "The Universal Mother Theory" by Kooki914. Explores how Queen's relationship to each of the characters resembles their relationship to their mothers. Chapter 2 specific, but I do think it's interesting to consider for other chapters, especially when we begin to learn more about the characters families.

From Kooki914, I would also recommend:

A) "Snowgrave: An exploration of relationships" which explores how Kris and Susie's relationship in the snowgrave route is likened to an abuse marriage.

7. "I think I know what Ralsei is" by SonsaKay." I don't know if I fully subscribe to this theory but O.M.G. I had SO MANY revelations and jaw drop moments watching this video. If you are at all interested in Ralsei's character you MUST MUST watch this.

8. "A Thematic Analysis of Darkness in Deltarune" by Virat Veritas. Just a nice old fashioned thematic analysis; what is says on the tin.

9. "Names, Endings, Prophecy, Power" by Snarlinger. Explores the significance of character names in the UT/DR universe, and links them to religious themes within the text.

10. "I know what the angel's heaven is & how Deltarune will end" by Black Chesnut and "The Religious Symbolism of Deltarune" by Detective Mar. Grouping these together because they're both good insights into the religious symbolism in Deltarune, which is shaping up to be a really prominent theme, and worth knowing a little bit about.

A. In this video, Snarlinger mentions, "Deltarune's story is strongly tied to the Book of Revelation" by Doom64hunter. This is a brilliant in-depth read about how the story of deltarune mirrors the end of the New Testament and so smartly put together.

11. "Who Dr. Gaster Is and Why That Matters to Deltarune" by Mystic Sparkles. Come on guys, we had to have ONE big gaster theory in here and I DID save it to the end. In all seriousness, if you are behind on Gaster lore, or you don't understand why people are using him in Deltarune Analysis, this is a really great resource, and Mystic Sparkles is a delightful commentator.

Oooh how about this one for DM Boys. What if the roles were reversed and y/n fell into Sun & Moons care? Say they crashed on their planet or maybe human trafficking alien style.

Oooooo that's a fun one. Let's go with crashed.

This wouldn't have gone unnoticed. Nebuterran military ships constantly patrol the planet's atmosphere, always on the lookout for potential threats as no one who is not nebuterran is allowed to land on the planet's surface without permission from Eclipse.

It wouldn't take long for a patrol to reach the crash site at all and they'll be wary and armed. I'm sure Y/N would be freaking the hell out too but the best thing for them is to keep their heads down and not make themselves look a threat. If they got injured in the crash it would actually help their case.

The nebuterran soldiers will never have seen a human before so they'll defer to the higher ups about what to do and word will quickly get back to Eclipse about Y/N's presence. The soldiers will be instructed to take Y/N prisoner, see to their injuries and transport them back to the Capital Ship for questioning.

It's important to note that, while they are a prisoner, Y/N wouldn't be treated unjustly so long as they don't do anything that would be perceived as aggression or an unwillingness to cooperate. Nebuterrans aren't a violent species and Eclipse is not cruel... but they have every reason to be very suspicious of Y/N and assume they are dangerous in some way.

The problem, how are you gonna question someone you can't understand?

This is where Sun and Moon would come in.

Y/N will be locked up on the Capital Ship but it will be a room, not a cell. They'll have some comfort but they won't be allowed to leave until Eclipse can be sure Y/N is not a threat and has all the information he needs about where Y/N is from and how the crash happened. Just in case it's all an elaborate trap and Y/N is actually secretly a spy or something.

Sun will be the most useful here, tasked with figuring out a proper way to communicate with Y/N, build a translator of sorts that works with human language. Moon will be present during all of the questioning as well as when Sun is sitting with Y/N trying to have a conversation with them. Moon will be there to watch and observe, look for those subtle signs that most others would probably miss that hint at dishonesty, a sign that Y/N might be lying about things or isn't being 100% cooperative.

Sun's friendly and curious demeanor will help a lot to break the ice and once it becomes clear that Y/N really isn't a threat and the crash was a freak accident, Eclipse will eventually let them go and if possible, help them get back to earth... but it's very likely Y/N will be stuck on the nebuterran homeworld for the foreseeable future. And because they won't have a place to stay, nothing to their name... I could see Sun and Moon taking Y/N in - they have a pretty spacious home in the Capital City. Eclipse lives there too but he doesn't spend a lot of time there (coughworkaholic).

... actually this would make for a really fun spin-off lol.

Ward of the government

The GIW has been on the lookout for spectral anomalies for a while. So when the lab of a family of scientists they had been monitoring as potential recruits suddenly exploded, they showed up to investigate.

They only found one survivor.* The scientists’ youngest child, a boy named Daniel Fenton.

And scans indicated he was suffering from severe ecto-contamination.

Seeing a potential research opportunity (and/or a potential future agent who could be shaped to be completely loyal to the cause), they took him in, circulating false documents to cover up his disappearance. It’d be seen as tragic, but who would actually question the hospital records saying he’d succumbed to his injuries?

Now they just had to begin their work in preparing their new recruit: Operative D.

*this technically doesn’t require him to actually be the only one who survived…

Has Roisia yet had those strange dreams from the use of the tadpole? Of the beautiful, elusive figure that whispers sweet nothings if only you would let it in? Of its soft touches as it promises a future where they both reach their potentials? What does her dream companion look like?

I can't remember my original intentions for her canon experience... I think it was that Roisia would be too suspicious and too wary to use the tadpole? In any case, Roisia would dream of Eustace, an unrequited love of hers. UwU

Roisia started out as my Source Hunter from Divinity: Original Sin—(another excellent Larian game that I would highly recommend, by the way)—and I'm continuing her story in BG3 even though it's a completely different universe.

The premise of D:OS is that you have two buddy cops who are trying to solve a murder, and everything spirals wildly out of control the moment they're shipwrecked on a beach. (If Roisia had a nickel for every time she's been shipwrecked on a beach, she would have two nickels. That's not a lot, but it's funny that it happened twice.) If you're playing the game on your lonesome like me, you actually create not one but two player characters.

Roisia and Eustace (aka Roy & Stacey) started as joke characters as a way for me to test out the game. For Eustace, the man was built like an ox—(the game has only one body type and that's MUSCLES)—and I gave him a high-pitched nasally voice because I found the contrast hilarious. In D:OS, you can choose to pilot both characters or you can assign them an AI personality. I assigned Eustace the “Judge” personality and let the AI do its thing. It was an incredible gaming experience because Eustace felt "real" and I enjoyed roleplaying with the AI as I piloted Roisia's character. Eustace, courtesy of the AI and the parameters I set for it, ended up becoming this cantankerous, stubborn, contrary academic with a heart of gold who wanted to do the right thing... so long as the right thing to do was also the lawful thing to do. (Following the law to its every letter is very much not Roisia's MO. I suppose that would make Eustace lawful good and Roisia chaotic good.)

Anyway, after completing the game, the epilogue mentioned an unrequited love between the two—(‘saviour the second merely clapped saviour the first on the back and rode away’)—and I have since made that epilogue a canon part of Roisia’s story. She had fallen in love with Eustace, Mr. Saviour the Second, over the course of their adventure and those feelings were not returned.

In BG3, I think that Roisia is not quite over Eustace. She drew up a list of lifelong goals for herself as a way to "cure" herself of heartbreak and is on the lookout for a spouse for herself, but I think she still misses the easy camaraderie of Eustace, his endless snark, and his steadfastness. He'd definitely be the one she'd dream about.

Ok so I'm watching Supernatural right now, right, and I'm also a long time fan of Shadowhunters (as in, I watched it when it first came out and still rewatch it every once in a while, big fan). So I know how the dynamics work in the show quite well.

It also means I find crossover potential between the shows because, let's be honest, they'll go really well together. Two aspects of how the world deals with the supernatural, hunters being unaware of Shadowhunters because they can't even see them. Amazing, 10/10 crossover potential.

Now, what I don't understand is why people take Sam & Dean from the future (AKA later seasons) in their fics and have them work together with the Shadowhunters when there is so much rivalry potential between them.

Take Clary's ability to talk to angels, for example. If the two series were in the same universe, I can assure you that the angels will jump on the opportunity to communicate with her (or just talk to any of the Shadowhunters in general, since angels can do that in Supernatural as long as they have a vessel), tell her lies and/or half truths about the Winchesters

[like how they are demonic in ways warlocks aren't, how they turned at least two angels, one of which is an Archangel, mind you, against heaven and "made" the first one kill other angels for them. They even killed a couple of Archangels. Hell, depending on the timeline, they could even tell them that the Winchesters killed God, they can tell them how ungrateful they are, that they were God's chosen, that he gave them whatever they wanted, powers, immortality (he kept bringing them back to life), their loved ones back, etc and they still killed him]

They could manipulate the Shadowhunters to be on the lookout for the Winchesters just like they did with those church messengers.

What I'm trying to say is, that so many people have them getting along in their fics yet I can't find a single one where people actually explore the dynamics of distrust and even fear (those people killed GOD, everyone who knew/found out would be scared of them) that could happen had the angels actually been involved and the two were actually set in the same universe and with their respective plots progressing at the same time (or at least the same years the shows themselves are set in, just make them match and/or make them interact during each of their respective seasons that occur at the same year/time frame).

It could honestly show such a new, raw and authentic turn of events that could make the fic feel just that much more real.

I love all types of crossover fics, I really do, I'm just really disappointed that there aren't any fics with this dynamic available and instead majority of them are all either Destiel or dimensional travel. It's just a bummer, honestly.

I’m a 19-year-old female roleplayer who loves diving into rich, immersive plots and creating meaningful character connections. My focus is on playing my original character (OC), but I’m more than happy for you to bring your own OC to the story if that’s your preference. The characters can adapt to any setting you prefer, and I’d be thrilled to work on something uniquely tailored to both of our interests.

Some potential ideas:

• Dragon AU: Imagine guilds specializing in taming mythical beasts, with characters like Ghost or Soap as hardened dragon tamers.

• Future/Dystopian AU: A crumbling society where survivors fight for resources, loyalties are tested, and bonds are forged.

• Crossover Setting: Combine characters from different fandoms, such as Joel Miller teaming up with Captain Price in a survival-focused narrative.

• Modern Conflict: A grounded military or espionage story with intrigue, danger, and intense character development.

I’m open to other fandoms too, so feel free to suggest something you’re passionate about!

Quick FNAF X Dead by Daylight Predictions Before The Collab is Out

Although I haven’t played Dead by Daylight myself, I do have a few predictions on how this crossover will work.. At least in terms of the basics that I’m aware of.

Since this got a bit ramble-y, I’ve put everything under the cut.

Most likely to happen

Springtrap will be the playable villain/Killer, as he was highly requested for years.

As such, he’ll probably get new voicelines that will match this crossover’s version of the lore. (Emphasis on “crossover’s version” here— I’m expecting some obvious artistic liberties even with all the advice Scott and the FNAF team’s given)

Same goes for any new abilities he gets. He might lean more towards the supernatural… Or he might get an axe that’s on fire idk.

His potential skins/alternate versions could be something like Spring-Bonnie from the games, Yellow Rabbit from the films (with a different voice to reflect said films), and a… Blighted variant, I think it’s called?

Regardless, it seems like Michael will be his rival/in The Survior role. Sorry, Henry fans, but I don’t think Henry’s quite ready to get more lore.

Mike will also probably get more outfits and a new voice as well, but idk what all that entails.

So many headcanons will be thrown out the window for the both of them, even though it’s another canonized AU. Say goodbye to your (somewhat) caring Williams and your more chill Mikes, among other things. (I’m already planning to turn one of my own takes into an OC in case I’m right, so I guess my followers might need to be on the lookout for that…)

At least we’ll get more hints towards how Springtrap and Mike interact. That’ll probably be useful for future FNAF games.

Less Likely to Happen (And Probably Not Going To TBH)

Scraptrap skin for Springtrap (that actually looks rad). Especially if you get it for free through an achievement.

The Mimic as the Villain/Killer. I know Secret of the Mimic is out in two months, so this is a bit of a risk. However, since this collab been in development since at least last year, I don’t see this happening because of timing. He might get a skin or a reference somewhere, though.

Vanessa (games or film) as the Rival/Survivor. As much as I would find it interesting, this is another case of timing thanks to the FNAF movie. If she does make it in somehow, then maybe she’ll get a Vanny skin?

Springtrap being too theatrical and hyped up (for lack of a better term) in his voicelines. While FNAF AR might’ve made it possible for this to happen a second time, I feel like this collab is going to be the moment where his character’s going to get a personality reboot. I’m expecting something a bit more like his Sister Location voicelines this time— A calm, collected tone roughened by thirty years of rot and decay. He’ll sound far too cold and reserved even when he’s thinking of witty quips, especially around Mike.

Mike and Springtrap sharing the same voice actor this time. This prediction is more for practicality reasons, honestly. I’m sure whoever the developers picked for these two, that actor (or actors) had to make sure that these two sounded distinct during a multiplayer match. Listening is key, from what I understand of DBD, so there has to be a way to tell the difference.

Springtrap confirmed to have remorse via his voicelines. At all. He may have suffered through something, according to that Into The Pit game, but I bet that’s a secret he’ll take to his— and the franchise’s— grave.

MXES cameo or reference. Another timing issue, but with the potential timeline of this collab. I dunno when this whole thing is set, so we might not get Security Breach references either. A bummer, but it is what it is.

Bonus Round: The Possibilities are a Mixed Bag

Springtrap is still British in the games. Maybe even keeping his voice from AR.

Same as above for Mike, but he’ll have a new voice as stated above.

The collab map is one of the FNAF game locations.

Springtrap might have special lines for certain characters? Maybe?

Fazbear Entertainment cameo. Maybe even in-universe merchandise, if the map is that detailed.

Circus Baby gets referenced somewhere. Most likely through a new in-universe poster.

Most fans are probably going to be happy with this collab, especially if it nicely blends these two games together. (If I’m right about the “multiple headcanons perishing in metaphorical flames”, though, then I’m expecting a bunch of Afton interpretations turning into OCs in a matter of weeks. This goes for both Mike and Will/Spring, btw)

Suddenly, Egg.

(page 1491-1508)

Vodka Mutini is back!! It’s super cute to just see him in the background of Rose’s panels. Especially where her sprite is scaled down so his also has to be scaled down to match and he is just a tiny black smear on my screen. <3

Rose heads back to the mausoleum, making the same journey she made in early Act 2 (p.394-399) this time under completely different conditions, but still needing the umbrella. Rose ‘wonder[ing] if this rain will ever let up’ (p.307) is hitting different now I know it rains in Sburb for her too.

We also get some knowledge about who’s controlling Rose. Whoever speaks in the zalgo cursive is familiar with Rose and with the game, knowing that creating Jaspersprite was Rose’s whole reason for playing. This is really different to WV, who knew nothing about John without help from the narrator. This future person’s editorializing with ‘A mother will do whatever is best for her children’ (p.1499) is more like WV, who also puts a lot of his own opinions into commands. This also might mean that the fourth future person’s ‘society role’ is something to do with raising children, possibly a teacher?

Page 1496 is a colorswapped and flashing version of page 840 (with bonus Mutie!) – I think I highlighted this as a cool page the first time around, and it’s cool again here. I don’t fully understand how the secret passage would have been preserved, since just Rose’s house was picked up from Earth and slapped down on LOLAR, but the tunnel was originally created and sealed by Rose’s mom, who has now used it to escape on a boat(?) so likely something to do with that.

In general, seeing Rose and Dave as Sburb clients this act really advances knowledge about what’s typical for the game and what’s specific to John. The First Gate being directly above the house seems universal, for example; Rose’s first gate is on page 1497. The entry item coming being alchemized with its precursor also happens to everyone; a bird lays Dave’s egg on page 1504. But the parent getting kidnapped by imps and taken to the dark kingdom might not be universal, as it seems like Rose’s mom has voluntarily left via this passage, put down her martini and gone sailing. Does she have some kind of plan, or does she just want to run away without Rose when things start getting dangerous?

Page 1497 sits alongside 1051 and 1395 as these beautiful vertical art pieces showing off the planets in the Incipisphere. Now that we have all these stunning locations with cool designs, it is really nice to pause to take them in, and to have art that isn’t just showing a change in state for the story, but that just looks amazing. All video games should have lookout points like this.

WV makes another town, this one called ‘Exile Town’. ‘Exiles’ is honestly a great collective name for these future folks on Jade’s island so I will totally adopt that. As well as cans, Exile Town includes mailboxes, fruits, caution tape, worms, Squiddles, a letter to Dr Brinner, the pumpkin and the oil. There is a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony which is horrifically interrupted by a military parade.

AR thinks that ‘any town without a proper militia is as good as conquered’ (p.1501) which is stupid because there’s no other towns to do any invading!! What exactly is he trying to defend the town against? In my heart I know his logic is no more flawed than WV’s, who considers Can Town to be a bastion of democracy despite not allowing other candidates for its leadership, and that WV’s ideals of order and friendliness in the town are potentially just as questionable as ideals of might and aggression. I know all of this but I still think that WV is pure of heart and it is hard to criticize him for anything, ever.

All of a sudden there is an egg. (straight up no other way to say it - there's just an egg, and it comes out of nowhere even though a fourth exile was expected). Surprisingly it doesn’t fly in, but teleports in a burst of red lightning. Presumably the exile controlling Rose is currently inside, sending her messages before activating the homing function.

Dave’s entry item gets created with lots of time to spare on his cruxtruder countdown, and we don’t see any part of the alchemy process, which happens entirely offscreen during page 1504. The most damning evidence for moving the plot forward is Jade mentioning that she ‘was going to build some stairs’ (p.1505) and nobody making a Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff stairs joke. This is serious. Hey also, I know Dave doesn’t have any food in his fridge, but what’s wrong with him that he sees an egg and immediately goes ‘I gotta hatch this thing’?

The behavior of sprites is a really interesting unknown quantity in Sburb. Obviously the NPC knowledge and game guide function of sprites is important, but Nannasprite pranking John with a bucket of water on the door (p.417) surely comes from the harlequin prototyping, Rose tells us that Jaspersprite is acting similarly to alive Jaspers (p.1492) and Dave’s crow has rambunctiously gone to make a nest to hatch an egg. So, can this be exploited somehow? Lil Cal is the obvious second sprite prototyping for Dave, but could that be subverted to make something who’d help the group on a personality level? I am looking at Dave’s room (p.312) for inspiration and I can’t stop thinking about the signed photograph of Ben Stiller and how incredible it would be if Dave used this sprite as an opportunity to meet his hero. I actually don’t know if he’d be helpful but I can still see Dave doing this.

Anyway I really love the crowsprite’s nest of swords and smuppets, I love that all these violent and/or unsettling things from Dave’s house are now being used with more positive intent. Today's prompts: A campsite, " Will I see this day end, or is this it?" "If there's ever been a chance, tell me. Please."

(This takes place [Weeks? Months?] after yesterday's scene, I'll let you all figure out if and where this fits into the canon of the world of A Feather in the Forest.)

Twin-Eye Hill had fallen. Most of the warriors were slain in an ambush just east of the eyrie. And that was not the worst of it. The orders Halley gave were to leave no trace of the rebels or their stronghold.

I thought it was going to be my end. Hugin thought. All I could think was 'Will I see this day end, or is this it?'

Somehow, he had managed to escape the fire and the soldiers. And he wasn't the only one. About a score of birds had managed to flee west. It was a gamble, as it meant crossing over the border and into fox territory. But it was a risk they were willing to take.

In a clearing, they pitched several tents and build simple shelters. Around the camp was a fence of sharpened stakes. A few birds busied themselves with chores or caught some sleep, but most of them were on alert, watching out for potential trouble. Two were looking west through a gap in the wall when they spotted something.

"Bird heading this way!" One of the lookouts yelled.

"It's Talvi!" Another shouted.

Fear turned to relief. Several rushed to the opening in the fence that served as a gate. They pulled back the panel that covered the opening, only putting it back in place once Talvi was inside.

"Thank goodness you're alive." Hugin said.

Talvi raised her head. Her eyes, once so full of life, now seemed vacant and dull. It was a full minute before she said anything.

"Flames everywhere...Didn't know what to do... Everyone trying to flee every which way and finding only death." Her voice was full of uncertainty and fear, emotions that were never present before. "Could only head west and hope the boundary stones would protect me. Smelled smoke. Went to investigate."

She fell silent. It was another minute before she said another word.

"So many dead...and for what? They stood no chance. All they wanted was to be free.

"I want to know. Is there any hope for us? If there's ever been a chance, tell me. Please."

Hugin said nothing. He went over to the lean-to and produced a bundle of cloth. Taking one end, he unwrapped it carefully. He unwound what had to be yards of fabric before what was inside was revealed: a single egg.

"I managed to save one." He said. "I was not going to let them destroy the future. I wish I could have saved more."

Talvi's eyes regained some of their fire.

"It's enough. You did what you could. Every small miracle is a victory."

The two spent the night close together. One slept while the other watched over the egg. After a while, the pair switched.

The next day the survivors held counsel. They all agreed that staying too long risked invoking the wrath of the foxes, that is if Halley's scouts didn't find them first. Their best bet was to get aid from one of the Roost Lords that was no friend of Loftperch Lookout.

"Grey is our best hope. I'll fly to her eyrie and petition for aid. She'll listen; there is no love lost between her and Halley."

"Alright. But don't fly directly from here. We don't want any scouts finding our location." Hugin told her. "Find somewhere well away from the camp before taking to the air.

"We're pinning all our hopes on you. Don't fail."

"I won't."

With everything settled, the birds resumed their watches. The pair made their way to the gate. Hugin pulled back the panel. He paused for a moment before speaking.

"I'll look after the egg until you get back. Should be hatching any day now."

"I hope that I can see it happen." Talvi told him. "To think that there is still hope, and from out of the ashes comes something that can't be destroyed..."

The two embraced.

"Al-Gia look after and preserve us."

Y'know, I've been thinking about this comic a bit more lately.

And while I'm not quite sure the full narrative of this little succubus's story, @virgil-is-a-cutie (can't take credit, I didn't even think about this) pointed out the possibility of Alastor being a grandpa watching over her descendants! And while I'm not actually sure if our succubus actually did ever have kids, it crossed my mind (very spontaneously, like with me writing this post) that it could potentially be interesting if Verosika was related! She's potentially around the age range of being Alastor's grandchild in relation to the succubus's age! I think it popped into my mind because Verosika's a succubus that we know in canon, but also, she and Alastor could have an interesting dynamic considering her job and personality.

Again, this is a very, very, very, VERY random thought that popped up and I'm not sure how into it I am or if it'd even be explored too much.

I'm not really sure about the story of the succubus' life (she was kind of a throwaway character, hence her lacking a name). But I'm sure that'll be explored further in the future as I do think I might make some more comics with her! I have a fun idea to go about it and I'm not sure how many comics I'd actually do, but I have a pretty strong idea for a sort of "last comic" for this cute little idea. But that won't be coming out for a while haha. A lot of people seemed interested in seeing more so I'll occasionally get some stuff out concerning it. But I suppose the question is rather should I just leave it as a sequel or make a series of comics with it? I'll sit on that I suppose /ᐠ˵- ⩊ -˵マ I'm still astounded to see the post still getting some attention quite honestly, and I greatly appreciate the support! At the very least I should redraw it some time to be more pretty looking.

Just a super random thought though. I'll try and get some art out soon though! I have wips, it's just a matter of finishing them, haha I also have a very silly animatic on the way, so be on the lookout for that
