Found an exercise bike by the apartment building dumpster. This thing looked brand new and the only thing wrong with it was that the seat wasn't on right, which I fixed in about 5 seconds. People really just throw things out without even trying to fix them huh?
Anyway I'm extremely sweaty after cycling 26 kilometers.

people tend to tell me that i work hard and i deserve to take it easy, and i never know what to say bc i dont really believe them
but also maybe i should remember how, for 13 years in p.e., i would push my body to the point of feeling like i was having a heart attack and i was going to throw up, every single time, partially bc they never taught us how we should be exercising but also partially bc i think a part of my brain figured you're not working hard unless you're hurting
and then in the last year i took that kind of class at school, i actually paid attention to what your bpm should be when working out, specifically for improving cardio
and for the first time ever, i actually enjoyed exercising. and i actually improved so much.
so maybe i dont have to be pushing myself to the point of burning out to feel like im working hard. maybe accepting that particular compliment and advice isn't contingent on me feeling like im putting in that extra effort.
#just thinking about my co-workers and family telling me i work hard and i dont feel like i do at all#bc i take it easy and fuck around sometimes at work so i dont think it counts#but also like. maybe i do#anyway unfucking related but i really want an exercise bike with a heartbeat monitor#i wasnt kidding when i said i actually like working out now and i miss it#and i definitely need the monitor bc i CANNOT tell what my bpm is. ever#you guys have no idea how much of a revelation it was to be told that 200+ bpm is too fucking much#and going on that fucking bike and exercising like i usually do and seeing that monitor skyrocket to above that#and being like 'oh. feeling like im dying isn't normal?'#'im NOT supposed to work like im trying to give myself a heart attack?'#my body is such a trooper for surviving the amount of abuse ive put it through for the years#and NO i cant go to a gym bc it is Too Far. that extra step means it's never happening for my shit brain

RIGHT so yesterday marked 8 months worth of days exercising (240 days) and these are my stats
#diary#yesterday i made sure to do what i could to round up now that im doing solid -0 ending amounts#like 30 or 50 or 100 u know what i mean#planks are in minutes & the walk/bike is in miles#walks dont include like 120mi bc ive included like ‘hit 10k steps’ which generally equates to 5 miles bc like when i was in caba …. girl …..#i did like 100mi worth of walking im not kidding SADLAKSJDLKAJSLDAJSDA#but its just like counted 0:no 1:yes filter out the no so its only the yes but i also log like#how much ive sex so like it says ‘cardio’ but i didnt put it in the pivot table but SLKDJALSKDJALKJDALJDJLSJ#its also in there so its necessary that the counted/uncounted be able to be seperated bc somedays i didnt exercise but i did have sex#but also somedays i did both#so idk#but also like when i helped my bestie move that was like 10.5k steps but its uncounted bc i didnt exercise but i still have it in there as#5mi but its not in the 15 shown bc its uncounted#like this is all filtered#‘all filtered’ its filtering out the uncounted days so its showing 240 of idk like i think its like 270-ish days logged#like if i didnt do anything then it was just a skip day and unlogged#like my CALENDAR YEAR will be march 30 so a calendar year since i BEGAN exercising but my EXERCISE YEAR will be like maybe a month later#like i think end of april will make 365 days i have exercised#so this 8 months is my EXERCISE 8 months#ok yes crunches … signifigantly more than anything else bc i’ll go for a bike ride then do 200 lmao#like my ROUTINE currently is 5mi bike then 200 crunch or sit up or whatever#but then when i dont bike i split it into everything else

Wild to me that one big improvement in my health was me starting to exercise reguarly which I was only able to do once I bought an exercise bike which I was only able to do because I won a grand prize at a work game and got a like $200 Amazon gift card.

Got my heartrate over 200 today!
I was at the gym on an exercise bike today for about 20 mins. I didn’t record anything or have my monitor on, but I used the monitor on the bike. They have little metal plates you put your hands on while you bike and it reads your heart rate.
Anyway I could feel it pushing harder and harder as I “biked” “uphill”easily passing 160. I really leaned into it and watched as it climbed up and felt my chest and the veins in my neck pulsing. I kept it at 200-210 for a few minutes before slowing down and letting my heart return to normal.
Also when I first hopped on the bike it was 120 before anything, just from the anxiety of being at the gym.
Next time I’ll remember my heart monitor!

i did a little cutting with my chain saw and then it quit. it has plenty of gasoline. i let it sit overnight in case it was flooded and still won't start. will probably order a carb kit from amazon and try to fix it myself. last time i had it worked on for similar problem it was $100. a new, similar chain saw is $200 so i'm not investing much in repairs on this one

Tips (sort of?) for any ana's out there
lots are probably no brainers, so this is especially for beginners

1. you can turn basically anything into a low cal meal by cutting back the portion size.
example: about a week ago, I wanted a sandwhich. one slice of bread was 96 cals, 1 tbsp of mayo was 100 cals, one slice of chicken was 85 cals, and pickles were 5 cals. that was way too many calories for me in one meal. so, instead, I split everything up. I split the bread in half (48 cals) the mayo into 1/4 tbsp (25 cals) the chicken in half (42.5 cals) -and the pickles like normal, (so, 5 cals). that's now a total of 120.5 cals for the sandwich instead of 286 cals. I do this with all of the food I eat, and it's especially helpful if the diet you're on only allows for 100-250 or so calories in a day.
2. drink lots of water on an empty stomach.
this will help boost your energy and metabolism, and it can also have long term positive affects on things like hair and skin. along with that, it can make you nauseous, which will make you not want to eat.
3. DO NOT start fasting unless you're already either good at fasting (e.g. bc of a religious thing) or already can go a day only eating 100-200 cals.
if you're just starting out, you're not going to be able to start fasting right away because you're not used to it yet. fasting when you're not ready will just increase your wanting to binge, which'll just mess you up.
4. if you're feeling like you want to binge, watch mukbangs/freaky eaters/1000lb sisters/etc.
freaky eaters personally helps me the best, because it's gross as all hell (hence the name). watching people eat tons of disgusting foods, especially in incredibly large portions, always ruins my appetite.
5. find low cal food that you actually enjoy.
in order for you to actually start making progress, you need to find stuff you LIKE. if you're eating food you find gross just because it's low cal, you're gonna quit. you're gonna not ever feel satisfied, and you're going to give into your cravings. there are many many many ana/low cal recipes and foods that you can try. find some low cal foods you like and stick with them. it can be something complicated but low cal, or even something as simple as cucumbers.
6. like the above, find workouts/exercises that you like as well.
there are many workouts on ed tumblr that are very enjoyable, but you can also try simple workouts on youtube (personally, I usually do growwithjo in the mornings and night and during the day I go for a run/bike ride/etc). depending on how many calories you're trying to lose/a specific area of your body that you're trying to get skinnier/ you can google specific's and find a workout that matches what you want. reminder though to go easy at first if you're not used to working out. if you do three intense workouts in a day you'll be burned out and sore before the week even ends. ease into it.
7. if you have a specific craving that you just can't get rid of, eat a tiny bit of seasoning related to it.
(sorry for the janky ass wording, but) example: if I really wanted like.. mcdonalds fries, I would instead go to the kitchen and eat a little piece of salt. same goes if I'm craving something sugary. I can go and just eat a couple tiny grains of sugar, etc. I don't know about anyone else, but this almost always gets rid of my cravings.
8. back to the exercise one, I highly recommend getting a jump rope.
you can get a jump rope for like a dollar at pretty much any local store. if you can't get one at a local store, you can get one online. they're fun, incredibly easy to do, and they burn lots of calories in short periods as well as working your whole body.
9. continuing on with the exercise, make sure you are doing yoga/stretching out after exercising.
try to do at least simple stretches (butterfly, neck roll, touch your toes, etc.) before and after working out. it'll help you stay stronger/do better during your actual workout, as well as help prevent you from getting sore/pulling a muscle/etc.
10. keep an ana journal.
organize it however you want to. it can be written like a list, diary, bullet journal, whatever you want. they're incredibly easy to do, literally just get a notebook and document all your stuff! they're very fun as well as a great tracker for all of your progress. I write down everything I ate that day, how many calories in each, my weight at the beginning vs. end of the day, how much water I drank, how much exercise did I do + what kinds + how many calories did it burn, etc. it's also very fun to read back through it after a while of keeping it and seeing how much progress you've made.

so I'm restarting my @na journey, hopefully I'll stick with it 🩷🩷

yesterday was rough but, i feel accomplished n beautiful.
i ate 1,542 cals n burned 1,599, leaving a net of -57. my goal was 2,000 but, my grandma got mad at me like bro!?
after the metabolism day, i weighed in at 117, this morning i weighed in at 115. last time i did a metabolism day, the next day after i weighed 115, i then weighed at 116. so the plan is (to avoid that one pound gain) is to exercise. i have consumed 337 cals n plan to burn 763 w a net of -426. my bmr is 1,434 n i have school, which is a few thousands steps. so, i’ll be very active so, im praying LITERALLY that i drop to 114 or stay at 115 so, on sunday i’ll be at 114.
here’s the exercise plan:
after dinner:
8 min app workout 182 cals burned
25 min stationary bike (moderate) 135 cals burned
11 min intense workout 200 cals burned
25 min stationary bike (vigorously) 232 cals burned
after this i’ll do 20 hr fast, then i’ll update yall! wish me luck!

so far i’ve burned 531 cals, im exhausted but, ik i need to do this. only 232 cals more to burn n then i’m done. plus ummm 2hrs n 16min into my fast which finishes at 12:57 pm tmmr.
another update i decided to stay at 531 cals burned, last time yesterday i spent 4 hrs working out bc it was metabolism day so, i don’t wanna alert my grandparent. so tmmr ill go even harder since, i actually have time to do a morning workout. anyways so tdys vals burned are 531 w a net of -194 cals.
