look I love Shikamaru and Temari's relationship, they are probably my favorite canon ship in the whole franchise - but as a ShikaNaru truther I find it very interesting that Shikamaru ended up with a blonde haired, blue eyed, babe with wind nature chakra and a close connection to a tailed beast, as well as a complicated family situation hinging on the fact that their father was a kage who sealed a tailed beast into his infant son in a move that ultimately killed the mother.

Most women are too empathetic and for this very reason, they get taken advantage of.
Society is built to take advantage of your emotional nature and overly sensitive attitude.
You must learn discern in order to protect your energy. Saying no is a protection spell. Setting boundaries is crucial. Limiting all forms of media that promotes sadness, anger and guilt, should be a priority. Stop allowing others to exploit your energy and manipulate your emotions.

This is evil on a level I've never seen before. Capitalism and inflation are reaching final boss territory dude.
Tumblr media
First off, games are more expensive.... not fucking happy. But secondly, physical games are gonna be more expensive than digital.... um. WHY?!?!?! NINTENDO WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!? GOD. WHY. OH WAIT I KNOW WHY! They are pushing digital games more because eventually down the line everything is gonna become all digital!!!! UGH!
And you know the sad part? Some Switch 2 physical games are just gonna have a license for the game and not have all of the game files... God i hope this doesn't apply to a lot of games or else ill be so fucking MADDDD! Imagine if Splatoon 4 is just a game key and it doesn't have all the launch game files on it.... and you can't even play the single player offline if you wanted to at launch.... fucking YIKES dude. Man oh man.
Tumblr media
And I wanna say too about the price, here's the thing about me, i am in a position where I can afford the games and be okay with my wallet. But I'm really worried and sorry for a lot of families and less fortunate people who won't be able to play the switch 2 at all. It sucks that Nintendo, the company that mainly targets families, is falling into the horrors of late stage capitalism and making games so unbelievably expensive that it's somehow worse than the competition... How did you even do that Nintendo? Fucking hell bro.
Gaming all around is becoming more of a luxury rather than something that everyone can enjoy, and that.... makes me sad. Seeing a hobby that I love get worse and worse like this is just... man... not fucking fun dude.

You know how everyone loves a “book haul”?? Well for years I’ve been wanting to do strictly “library book hauls” that way pple can see all the different kinds of books you can get at the library! And it not only encourages the support of libraries but it’s also a big fuck you to capitalism and over consumption!

Hey, fellows. It’s The Year of The Snake Tomorrow!
Today at my workplace I’ve entered the elevator only to learn through the signs hanged in the metallic walls that tomorrow starts the Year Of the Snake in the Chinese calendar. Can’t help but thinking this is a lil bit funny, ‘cause since I got this job, it seems to me I’m already living between snakes and lizards, like they say in Brasil.
Tumblr media
However, that was not the only joke making me ‘smile’ during my ride, but the concept that the Year Of the Snake is supposed to be focused on the mental health along with body health. Ha! Twice as funny! This company doesn’t give a shit if you need help to face the overload they put on employees shoulders. In fact, I’ve noticed they target hiring immigrants with no visa only because they work for the minimum wage, never complaint about the workload and, on top of that, they never pay extra for the holidays.
Do they think by hanging that shitty poster magically all their workers will stop having Burnout? Maybe they don’t even know what’s the meaning behind The Year Of the Snake (which would be… hm-, hello? Disrespectful and rude af!) and are trying to be woke, or something.
One way or another, it’s highly probable someone will loose it before next January. It’s sad they don’t care about us.

A few years ago, a friend of mine was employed by Target Corporation at their downtown HQ. They got very involved in the company's DEI initiatives, and were proud to work for a company so committed to progressive values. It was a highlight of their employment there.
Of course, that was all smoke and mirrors.
"Rainbow capitalism" has been an increasing topic of contention in recent years. Corporate involvement in LGBTQ+ Pride activities has always been a double-edged sword. The funding that comes from corporate sponsorships is an incredible boost for any organization, but at the same time, seeing logos and floats everywhere with big business names can make events with sincere moralistic goals feel impersonal and superficial.
Over a decade ago, I participated in a Relay for Life fundraising event for cancer research. The idea was for people to form teams, solicit donations, and then participate in an all-night relay walk on the day of the event. When I got there, I was impressed to see a lot of tents for big teams sent by area businesses. They all proudly participated in the start of the relay. Then they started packing up. They were there for the photo op, and then they were gone. By the wee hours of the morning, only a few teams were left on the track. A volunteer even thanked me for walking. You know, the thing that the whole event was meant to be about. I was so disappointed, I never went back. The money raised is, of course, the most important thing. But it's not the only important thing. The spirit and motivation behind your participation matters.
I've had sympathy for the rising irritation about the ingress of corporations at Pride. It's been somewhat mediated by the fact that often, it's the company's LGBTQ+ employees that are sent to represent them, and to show their employer supports diverse hiring practices and equal rights for its employees. But it is also, always, a photo op. There is always the question of whether a business really holds those values or if they're just there for the optics and to drive sales, and those doubts taint the atmosphere of the event.
This is yet another inevitable consequence of capitalism. Companies will do whatever makes them the most money, with increasingly few exceptions. Until recently, the wind was blowing in a progressive direction. Despite the annoyances of "rainbow capitalism," where companies would cover themselves in flags for 30 days and immediately rip them all down at the stroke of midnight on June 30th, their widespread participation meant that progressive ideals were in the majority. Queer people and their allies were where the money was. It was a good indicator that we were winning.
Target always seemed to be one of the "good ones," whose efforts may have actually been sincere. They stocked Pride merch earlier than a lot of other retailers, and my friend's experiences as an employee made me think they actually had real values. Cracks started to show last year, when they capitulated to pressure from the right wing in some regions and scaled back their Pride displays. Now, with DEI initiatives being declared an enemy of the state, they have thrown out their entire program at the corporate level - a program that included mentoring, focus groups, and guest speakers who encouraged queer people, people of color, and other diverse employees to dream big and succeed. In the end, as with most of the American economy, it was all about the mighty dollar and playing nice with whoever controls most of it. I'm sure they'll still sell merch in June, but as a blatant cash grab. There will be no real meaning behind it.
Twin Cities Pride has informed Target that they are no longer welcome in the parade or festival this summer. I applaud TCP for sticking to its principles despite the massive hole in their funding this will undoubtedly cause. Personally, I'm more concerned about the overall culture shift this signifies. Progressive values are no longer where the money is. We are no longer winning.

On the other hand though, its a little exciting that aromanticism has become known enough that the same old gatekeeping script used against asexuals/bisexuals/nonbinary folks/etc has been busted out!! If they’re debating if we’re queer, they finally know we’re here!!!
