hi! I know very little about embroidery

How do you do this pattern? Like, what stitch are you using + were you alternating between two needles or is it possible to stitch one color line and then come back and do the other?
I love your blog! It makes me want to go embroider stuff :)
Hey there! Thanks so much, glad that my work is something you enjoy. Go Learn Embroidery. I took this photo of my recently completed pocket panel so that I could make a tips/suggestions sheet for the pattern I'll have up soon - I took one of the paths you suggested lol. I work the smaller squiggle first in one color, finish it off, then I embroider the loops. This is done in single stranded stem stitch, which I work backwards. So I just basically leave a miniscule gap in my stitch, with the gap being where the other color already is. By doing it this way I don't need to re-hoop different sections of my piece, I can finish it out and then move on knowing that entire space is 100% completed.

Showing them intertwining instead of flatly one color overlapping the other adds a lot of depth so I really like doing it like this! It adds a lot visually.
#chatter#embroidery help#caveat for my pattern that it is not going to be like. a 'learn to embroider' pattern#it is going to be the scanned pattern cleaned up slightly and then some tips n tricks to get things how i get them#but in general i strongly feel that literally everyone should attempt different fiber arts and see what resonates

how to be more attractive
don't be too needy let them come to you, we don't chase, we attract
smell good always!! use body sprays and perfumes behind your ears, neck and wrists (try and find your perfect scent, mine is vanilla)
find a style that suits your figure then show it off, pinterest is helpful for this
gold hoops and gold jewelry, it makes you look hot and comfortable
eye contact is key!
cut your hair different once in a while, try a new style, it makes people notice you more
be teasing in a nice way (make sure they know that you're kidding and take it well)
clear lip gloss, brows brushed up and shaped, mascara, and highlighter in the corner of your eyes, trust me
have good posture, don't slouch

Shoujo Specifics: Haruhi Fujioka

Where’s my host club
tips start here:
Studying
Haruhi’s main hobby is studying. I mean, it’s what got her into Ouran High! Even if you’re not aiming to get into a luxury school, it is always a good idea to study hard so you can accomplish your dreams.
Join clubs!
Ok, technically Haruhi isn’t in a club by choice, but she does enjoy herself at the host club. Not only is it a great way to make friends, but also enrich your life! So pick a club and have a good time!!
Watch how much you spend
Being a ‘commoner’, Haruhi tries not to spend much money on things she doesn’t need. Although it’s ok to buy yourself something every once in a while, try not to excessively buy things you don’t actually need. When buying something, question how much you’ll get out the item.
Believe in yourself
Haruhi pretty much always believes in herself. She has no doubt when it comes to whether things will be ok or not! One easy way I’ve been able to believe in myself is affirmations. Things like “the universe works in my favor” and whatnot
Eye contact
Haruhi canonically has very good eye contact! Now this is one I really struggle with, but with time and practice, it’ll gradually become more comfortable and natural.
take care of yourself and your home
In her spare time, Haruhi does all of the housework. To take after this try learning some healthy food recipes, set up a cleaning routine, and helping out around the house if you don’t live alone.
(P.S. if you’d like to see me doing any other Shoujo girls, tell me which ones and I’ll see what I can do!)

I really liked this one! Definitely helpful for a lot of folks. I know for sure that this would be helpful if I moved somewhere without a dishwasher.
And the worms in my brain are pretty okay with continuing an activity for a bit once I've started so washing that pan might even sometimes help with then doing the rest of the dishes - but there's also no pressure so it truly feels like a fun choice rather than a forced activity. Cool stuff!

Any shedding tips? It's so difficult to brush bunnies especially when they begin to recognise brushy time and preemptively flick their legs at you.
Tbh my bunnies are decent about this but I never pick my rabbits up for this bc they will start getting hella freaked out way more than necessary. So I get them in the carrier (takes a little cornering them in the pen and waiting for them to resign and walk in) then transport them to a higher surface like a desk with a towel on it and let them walk out onto the desk before I either brush or clip nails.
I get those bunny safe cleaning wet wipes (I think the brand was "Full Cheeks") and wipe the bunnies down first THEN brush or comb. You get a lot less hair floating everywhere and you get a lot more loose fur out. I know the bunnies hate it so I do this to just get as much possible out in one sitting and reward after with treats
Alternatively if you brush them while they are on the ground or resting, if you have a high reward treat like a tiny piece of fruit you can start doing positive associations by holding out the brush and rewarding when they touch it and moving forward rewarding when they let you touch it to their head or back or so on. Hopefully it'll result in them associating brush time with something positive
#my bunnies are not too much of strugglers like both will make sure i know they hate me atm but wont jump off the table or kick or bite#so im a bit lucky#but yea god the wipe then brush trick works plus they feel so clean and soft after#just dont wet the fur i just grab a wipe and rumple up their fur up and down to get it slightly dampened for the brush to pull thru#bunblr#bunnies of tumblr#spindle#nima#asks#shedding tips#im trained by our labs to do small animal handling (mice and rats and rabbits) so i just kinda go for it#like if i gotta immobilize i can but my bunnies are very behaved and i try hard to minimize the stressors

how to organize your room and keep it that way
a lot of people think of their rooms as just a place to dump stuff, but that's not the case! so here are a few tips on how to keep your room clean. it's not just for super organized people either; these are things anyone can do.

-have a dump bin
have a place to throw things like clothes/extra items you have/anything you want to put away in the moment but will put away later. this keeps stuff off of your floor.
-sleep on top of your covers
put a blanket at the bottom of your bed instead and use that. this is so you don't have to make your bed every single morning to keep it looking decent.
-have a place to put all your papers
have a spot to put school notes, receipts, volunteer forms, coupons, anything you want to keep in a safe spot. it's hard to organize papers if you don't have a place to put them! you can get some cute dividers from staples/walmart/target, wherever. hanging folders also help keep things tidy.
-have garbage/recycling bins
kind of an uncommon tip, but yeah. bigger ones work better because they can hold more before you have to empty them. not huge but big enough so that you don't have to empty them all the time. set a time to empty the bins so it doesn't just accumulate and it looks nicer.
-use under-bed storage
this one is super important! have a bunch of bins/bags under your bed if you can to hold things you want to keep but don't know where to put. like extra bags/makeup etc.
-group "like" items
if you have drawers/bins, have a different category for each drawer/bin. plastic bins with different compartments like from walmart or ikea work really well for this.
-use hangers
this helps you avoid just throwing clothes on your floor or bed. you just hang whatever it is up and deal with it later (more on that in a sec). this works for bags too!
-purge regularly
dedicate some time each week to cleaning out your dump bin and putting stuff on your hangers away. set a reminder on your phone or put it in your planner to remember.

Shoujo Specifics: Futaba Yoshioka

I’m back !! Per request by @strawwiibernyy here is a Futaba guide!!(im so sorry for taking so long to make this(T . T)
Tips start here:
Embrace the nostalgia every one and a while
Ao Haru Ride is allllll about nostalgia! Time passes quickly, so take a little bit to remember good times ^ ^
Drop fake friends
Like Futaba, you need to drop your toxic and mean friends!! Good friendships only come from good people! I know it’s really tough to drop fake friends, but a good way to start is by distancing yourself. Or if you’re feeling bold, you can just go ahead and stand up to them like Futaba did!
Study and take part in school (if you’re in school)
A good way to start the new upcoming school year is by being involved and educated! Some ways to do this may include: volunteering for school things, studying, and joining the student council!
Don’t change yourself for others
While being liked by many is nice feeling, it’s better not to water yourself down or change yourself for others. Be your real, true authentic self and just see who sticks! Whoever stays is true friend.
That’s all !! I’m only about halfway through ao haru ride, so this may not be the best guide… miuringue on Pinterest has a super good one that you should totally check out!! Okkkk that’s all for now

Godsend right here. Signal boost.
Emergency cleaning: Unfuck your whole house in the shortest time possible
So, your landlord/parents/home inspector/favorite movie star is dropping by, and your place is a disaster. You don’t have much time to clean it up. You’re in emergency mode. Let’s get started.
Don’t panic. Panic leads to fear, fear leads to procrastination, procrastination leads to the dark side. You can do this, but you have to stay calm.
Unlike maintenance cleaning, we’re not looking to completely unfuck one space at a time. Instead, we want to decrease the overall mess in stages, spread evenly across the whole area that we’re concerned about. If you think your home is at Level 10 filth, we want to bring the whole thing down to a Level 9, and then down from there. One really clean spot in an otherwise messy home is not going to be helpful here.
Get prepared. You’ll want to shut the computer down (or turn the modem off if you need your computer to play music). Trust me. Get your music going. Gather up trash bags, your vacuum and mop, some rags or paper towel, sponges, and other cleaning supplies. Use what you have on hand. Don’t get distracted running to the store and spending an hour browsing cleaning supplies. A multi-purpose cleaning concentrate or a jug of vinegar will be just fine.
Breaks are very important. Depending on your time constraints, work in 20/10s (20 minutes working, 10-minute break) or 45/15s. But take breaks because otherwise you’re marathoning, and marathon cleaning is no one’s friend. Keep hydrated, don’t forget to eat, and check in with yourself frequently to make sure you’re physically doing OK.
Make your bed. This will be your home base if you get overwhelmed or need somewhere clear to take a break.
Start with the garbage. Going from room to room, throw out anything that is obvious trash. Once you fill a bag, take it out. Repeat as many times as necessary.
Move on to dishes. Gather the dishes from all over your house and bring them to the kitchen. If you can, start them soaking in a sink of hot, soapy water or start loading the dishwasher. After the dishes are all in one place, spend one 20/10 getting started getting them under control.
Now it’s time for your flat surfaces. Countertops, tables, dresser tops, etc. Clear them off and wipe them down. Don’t get distracted in too much sorting and organizing. We’re in crisis mode here. There will be time to get in-depth once this is all done. The same applies to cabinets and closets. Unless you have reason to believe people will be opening closed doors, leave these alone for now.
Attack the floordrobe and shoe pile. Get your clothes either put away or in the hamper. Start a load of laundry if you need to, but keep in mind that laundry and dishes have three steps: wash, dry, and put it away, goddammit!
Get random stuff up off the floors. If something is trash-worthy, throw it away now rather than just move it around a bunch of times. Otherwise, put stuff where it belongs.
Take another 20/10 or 45/15 to catch up on more dishes, if needed.
Head into the bathroom. Pour some cleaner in the toilet bowl, fill the sink with hot water and cleaner, and either spray the tub and shower with cleaner, or fill the tub up with some hot water and add cleaner and let it soak. Put everything away that’s out and shouldn’t be, clean the mirror, counters, and toilet seat. Sweep or dry mop the floor. Wipe down the sink and tub/shower, and give the toilet bowl a scrub. Mop the floor.
Sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
Vacuum everything you can, and sweep everything you can’t.
Walk outside of your house (don’t lock yourself out, please). Walk back in and see what catches your eye first. Go and deal with that.
If you’re being inspected or your landlord is coming in for repairs, spend time on whatever area they’ll be focusing on.
Give the whole place one more once-over and pay attention to anything you’ve missed so far.
It’s an old trick, but if your place is a little funky-smelling, put a pan of water on the stove on low heat and add some citrus or cinnamon or vanilla. Don’t leave it unattended or forget about it.
Take a shower, put on something clean, and eat something.
You can do this. It’s overwhelming, yes, but it is not impossible. You just need to do it. You have a list. You have directions. You have a whole bunch of Internet strangers who have been there before and who are cheering you on. You can do this, but you need to get started.
Why are you still here? GO. START. NOW.
