Zep, you know I'm here for those sneak peeks 👀😂
I would love do know more about
Unravel Me And Doppelganger
Please and Thank you. 💚
Hey there! Oh you got it, hun.~ 💚
Doppelganger is really just a thought in my head right now, but it's going to fill my Jacklesverse Bingo square (Round 2) prompt of the same name. It's going to be set during the Michael!Dean era of season 14, with reader and Sam getting the upper hand on pinning down Michael, who's of course, wearing Dean's face. 😬
(It might also be set in the Midnight Espresso-verse, since I sort of glossed over that arc in the series.)
Now, here's a new snippet for this unruly SB series lol...
Unravel Me

A Soldier Boy x POC!Reader series to follow Lost in Translation. This is one of my biggest WIPs, especially considering all 7 chapters are already drafted. I'm just wading in the editing process now!
Summary: In the wake of Vought Tower finally falling, you find yourself crossing paths with Soldier Boy. Rogue, weakened, dangerous, and hunted, he needs a place to hide. You’re not about to offer up your own home to shelter a supe wanted by Homelander and the CIA…but he’s also not going to let you refuse.
Mini Sneak Peek:
Here's a snippet of Part 1: Hot Tamale -
“Uh, a-are you okay?” you ask shakily, clutching your messenger bag.
“I’m fine,” he says, though his eyes bore into yours with an intensity that makes your spine prickle with unease.
In record time, your brain collects what little you know about the ancient relic of a supe that’s mere steps away from invading your personal space. Homelander has been calling him a rogue in the press, but even though your role at Vought barely makes you a blip on anyone’s radar, you know enough about what really holds the company together…which means you know better than to believe even one iota of what that star-spangled prick told the public.
Your gaze flits over Soldier Boy, now with some concern, despite your wariness.
“Are you hurt?” you ask.
“I said I’m fucking fine. Do I look fucking hurt?” he snaps tiredly. When he tries to stand a bit straighter, he almost stumbles against the wall.
Part of you twinges with sympathy, but still, your lips purse at his attitude.
“Dude, you don’t want me to tell you what you look like,” you say.

Donald: So Daisy, if you marry me, will you live in the same house with me? Daisy: That's how it should be. Otherwise, the problem will be bringing my things and my children with me and moving in with you? Donald: Of course you can, my love,…what?! Which children? Daisy: My nieces, silly. April, May and June. Donald: Oh, I forgot about them. But wait, they won't all fit in the same house, and I wouldn't want them to live in the same room with my nephews. Daisy: I know, can you make a separate room for them then. Donald: Ugh…not that I can't, but I need the money. Scrooge, can you give me the money for an extra room for my future wife's niece? Scrooge: NO! Not even by chance! Grandma Duck: How dare you talk to my grandson like that, he worked hard for you, and you deny him even the most basic things. Scrooge: He doesn't do anything and is a total slacker. Donald: (bit angry) Grandma Duck: Don't lie, he worked hard for all of us, and it will be easier for him to get some to buy materials for his house extension. Aren't you supporting him? Scrooge: Daisy, how much are you selling your house for? Daisy: It's already sold. I sold it to Rockerduck. Scrooge: WHAT?! That charlatan?! Then there's no money for your house! Daisy: I'm not finished, I have a cottage that I'm going to sell as well. Scrooge: How much does it cost? Daisy: Just so Donald can get his materials for our house. Scrooge: Agreed. I'll take it and you can get your materials. (leaves Donald's house) Donald: How I hate my uncle. Daisy: Don't be so mean, we'll get the materials we need to expand our house and we'll all live together. Donald: It's okay, my love. Huey: You can't take our room, it's our territory! May: Really?! Then why is there an empty part of your room? Huey: That's for…a sports field in our room. June: Hahahahahahaha…a sports field. Hahahahaha… Dewey: Oh, brother. April and Louie: We won a race together?! On a Playstation?! Louie: Wait, aren't you supposed to be like Huey since you're the oldest? April: Yeah, but I kind of look like you. May looks like Huey and June looks like Dewey. Louie: Weird, isn't it? April: Yes.

HELP US STOP CHAT CONTROL!
If you live in the EU, you absolutely need to pay attention to what's to come. What is Chat Control, you may ask? In a (failed) attempt to combat child abuse online the EU made Chat Control, Chat Control will result in getting your private messages and emails to be scanned by artificial intelligence aka AI to search for CSAM pictures or discussion that might have grooming in there. And on top of having your private conversations handed to AI or the police to snoop in, like your family pictures, selfies, or more sensitive pics, like the medical kind, only meant to be seen by your doctors, or the "flirtatious" kind you send to your partner, you either have to ACCEPT to be scanned...or else you will be forbidden from sending pictures, videos, or even links, as said here.
Kids should absolutely be protected online, without question, but the things that Chat Control gets wrong is that this is a blatant violation of privacy, without even considering the fact that AI WILL create tons of false positives, this is not a theory, this is a fact. And for all the false positives that will be detected, all of them will be sent to the police, which will just flood their system with useless junk instead of efficiently putting resources to actual protect kids from predators.
It also does not help that politicians, police officers, soldiers etc will be exempt from Chat Control if it passes. If it's for the sake of protection, shouldn't everyone get the same treatment? Which further prove that Chat Control would NOT keep your data of private life safe. Plus, bad actors will simply stop using messenger apps as soon as they know they're being tracked, using more obscure means, meanwhile innocent people will be punished by using those services On top of this, the EU also plans on reintroducing Data retention called "EU Going Dark". Both Chat Control and EU Going Dark are clear violation of the GDPR, and even if they shouldn't stand a chance in court, its not going to prevent politicians from trying to ram these through as an excuse to mass surveil European citizens, using kids as a shield. Even teenagers sending pictures to each other won't be exempt, which entirely goes against the purpose of protecting kids by retaining their private photos instead. Furthermore, once messaging apps are forced to comply with Chat Control, the president of Signal, a secured messaging app with encryption, have confirmed that they will be forced to leave the EU if this is enforced against them.
If Chat Control also ends up targeting any websites with the option of private messages, you better expect Europe to be geo-blocked by any websites offering such function. I would also like to add that EU citizens were very vocal in the fight against KOSA, an equally bad internet bill from the US-- and it showed! Which is why we heavily need the help of our fellow US peers to fight against Chat Control too, so please, because we all know if it passes, the US government will take a look at this and conclude "Ooh, a way to force mass surveillance on citizens even more than before? don't mind if I do!" It's always a snowball effect.
KEEP IN MIND THE EUROPE COUNCIL WILL LIKELY VOTE ON CHAT CONTROL THIS 19 JUNE OF NEXT WEEK TO SEE IF IT WILL ENTER TRILOGIES OR NOT. Even if it does enter Trilogues, the fight will only be beginning. Absentees may not count as a no, so it is crucial that you contact your MEPs HERE, as well as HERE, and you can also show your support for Edri's campaign against Chat Control HERE.
You can read more on Chat Control here as well, and you can find useful information as to which arguments to use when politely contacting your MEP (calling is better than email) here, and beneath you will find graphics you can use to spread the word!
YOU CAN ALSO JOIN OUR DISCORD SERVER (linked here) TO HELP ORGANIZE AGAINST CHAT CONTROL NON EU PEOPLE ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO JOIN TOO!
https://discord.gg/FPDJYkUujM
PLEASE REBLOG ! NON EU PEOPLE ARE ENCOURAGED TO REBLOG AS WELL CONTACT YOUTUBERS, CONTENT CREATORS, ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT MAY HELP GET THE WORD OUT ! Let's fight for our Internet and actually keep kids safe online! Because Chat Control and EU Going Dark will only endanger kids.

May Update
Helllllooooo everyone! Sun and Moon and the Fanzine crew have been quietly working away here at Glitches and Glitterglue HQ but it’s about time you lovely people had an update! I think Moon is ready for a break after being worked so hard, but Sun will not accept anything less than perfect for you all!
Well, we are well on our way! We’ve now ironed out the last wrinkles with all our production companies and we’re super excited to share the results of our labour! We are just awaiting final proofs for the last changes on a couple of items and to give the green light to produce the goods.
Our next steps will be receiving the goods, boxing up and dispatching in waves! We cannot express how excited are to be so close to the finish line and have these bundles in your hands.
A few of you have been asking about tariffs and what these will be impacting. The tariffs (from our understanding and research) would mostly affect items being imported to the US, the zines and merch coming directly to our shipping team from manufacturers from overseas. We are planning on our US items being shipped to backers from within the US and many of our international items being shipped from the UK, with a few exceptions. This was always our plan to both help split the load for our team and this should also help with tariff issues should there be further problems and fees trickling through the shipping systems.
The honest answer is we’re charting uncertain waters with this but to our current understanding, this shouldn’t impact you but may slightly increase the waiting times for things to arrive with us. Should there be any need for further guidance, we will let you all know via update.
Sneak Peeks! Aren't they amazing? Some snippets of works you have to look forward to from the talented RAVLIKSBLOG, LYCANKEYY and ELDRITCH-BEETLE!

Annnnd here’s an updated timeline!
Updated Fazwatch Timeline
What's happening next? Here's the up to date estimated outline as of May 2025!
There were some small issues that have been resolved with our manufacturers, but after reviewing and finalizing proofs, items are in production!
We expect to begin receiving some items in the next few weeks and into June. Here is the updated timeline reflecting the delay.
February-March 2025: Funds Received & Items Ordered! We have received the funds from Kickstarter and are in the process of finalizing our order details and sending all of the amazing art to our manufacturers. Proof and Production times can vary, but we will send updates to backers as details are finalized and items go into production.
April-May 2025: Proofs Reviewed, Revised, & Approved. Printing and Manufacturing is underway! Proofs received from manufacturers and our team has reviewed everything for quality and accuracy. This process can go back and forth multiple times. With the final approval of the art, the manufacturers will begin production!
June 2025: We will send out Backer Surveys to confirm everyone's shipping details. We are planning on surveys being sent out in June, but will send an update prior to sending and to remind backers to look for them once they are sent.
Mid June-July 2025 (estimated): Items arrive and fulfilment begins!
July-Sept of 2025 (estimated): Packages are Shipped & Digital Rewards are Sent! Once we have confirmed where everything needs to be shipped, we will begin to send out packages in waves. This does mean that everyone's packages will not arrive around the same time, but this in unavoidable with how many of you there are! It will be during this time we plan to send out the digital rewards.
More detailed information on digital reward fulfilment will be coming in a future update.
These are estimated dates that we’ll be able to further refine as we get farther along in the process. These may change depending on manufacturing, and other factors we have done our best to plan for.
Thank you all for your patience and I’m sure you’ll hear more good news from us soon!

evermore - June 3 - jegulus - @taylorswiftmicrofic - word count: 375
“...and may they be together in love, forevermore,” the officiant said with a grin, gesturing to Gideon and his soon-to-be-wife, who were both beaming. “Now, dears, I know you have some vows to exchange…”
Regulus felt James lean close to his ear, pressing both of their bodies together as they sat side-by-side for the ceremony, “Y’know, we really should do this someday,” the older man mumbled, a smile in his voice.
Regulus’s stomach dropped. Was James being serious? “Po-James. What the fuck do you mean?” he hissed, frowning and turning to his boyfriend.
He was nearly blinded by the grin on James’s face. “Marriage. A wedding. We should do that. Soon,” the Gryffindor murmured, to him, hazel eyes sparkling as Regulus internally combusted. Because how the fuck was he being so casual about this?
“You–we’re in the middle of someone else’s ceremony!” he hissed, wanting to scream. “And you bring this up now?!”
“Why not?” James said back, still smiling casually. “I already bought a ring.”
Regulus nearly shat himself in the middle of the crowd. “No you didn’t,” he said, but it wasn’t a statement so much as a plea for sanity.
“I did. Want to see?” the taller man offered, smiling.
And Regulus’s heart stopped completely as James reached in the pocket of his suit. Could he make a run for it? Now, while the happy couple at the altar were busy speaking of their love?
But James, who was smirking, pulled out an empty hand. “Kidding, love,” he whispered, beaming.
“James Potter, I’ll fucking kill you!” Regulus whisper-shouted, heart kick-starting, adrenaline pumping from the panic he’d just experienced, hitting his boyfriend on his shoulder with every word, earning a dirty look from the people sitting next to him. “I believed you!”
“No, baby. As if I’d propose at someone else’s wedding,” James grinned.
“Good,” Regulus sighed, settling back in his chair and looking toward Gideon.
“Plus, the ring’s at home. I’m saving it for a special moment.”
Whipping his head back to see if the taller man was kidding, Regulus found he genuinely couldn’t tell.
And worse, he couldn’t even figure out if the idea of a proposal was so bad, when it was coming from James.
Maybe he really was fucked.

I saw your post yesterday with Bug and the peachicks, and the tiny tail fan made me lol. For some reason it never occurred to me that the fan would appear at the first fledge; I have to ask, when do the plumes on young peacocks start getting ostentatious?
That's actually her tail, not her train! And they don't really fledge the way other birds do, considering they are born with full flight feathers

(pictured: a freshly-hatched, damp peachick with full flight pinfeathers resting partially on OP's fingers while sitting on their leg)
That little bastard will pretty much be flight ready as soon as the sheaths are off those feathers. They waste no time. The train actually consists of modified tail coverts and back feathers, and is supported by a VERY large tail

(pictured: the medial tail feather of an opal peacock, which is as long as OP's outstretched arm)
But the train feathers will be down for a lot longer than it takes them to grow any tail feathers, and the tail feathers come in later than the wings. In fact, the crown feathers come in sooner than the back and tail coverts stop being down!
Up front you should know that all peafowl age up on Jan 1st of a new year (so a chick born in march and a chick born in sept both become "yearlings" at the first Jan 1st after hatch, and two year olds at the next Jan 1st, etc). This is important for understanding that presentation can vary WIDELY between birds of the same "age" because no one is talking about literal age, they are speaking of hatch year age.
It's generally understood that males will get a "baby" train as yearlings, where their feathers elongate a LITTLE, and have wedges at the tips. At two they may begin to show hurls, and many 2 year olds (especially early hatches before June) will have an eye feather or two. SOME males, in warmer climates, will develop more of a train that second year, but it typically looks like a scraggly teenager trying to grow a beard. By 3 years old, they generally have a train, though it may be lacking length. Between 3 and 6, they will grow in a longer train each year, and at 6 they are considered fully mature, with a train that is pretty much as long as it's going to get. (this is also the age you can expect blackshoulder birds will have all the coloring they are going to get on their wings; some have wings that turn fully solid [desired] and some retain marbling closer to the body [considered a fault]).

GOLDEN HOUR- D. GRAYSON
day nine of the june bug masterlist
pairing: dick grayson x florist! fem! reader (sex pollen)
word count: 4.1k
summary: a handsome stranger has captured your heart and affections, so its only natural you call for him when a mysterious plant sprays you in your flower shop, and you start to feel... rather funny.
warnings: SMUT, sex pollen used, riding dick grayson on the floor (hell yeah), heavy praise kink, lots of petnames, grinding/ dry humping, man handling, fluff and yearning, making out, swearing, slight masturbation
“ baby, don't you know? that you're my golden hour, the color of my sky/ you set my world on fire, and i know, i know everything's gonna be alright”- golden hour, kacey musgraves
The birds chirping in the morning was so peaceful it reminded you of heaven on earth.
Or at least- your version of it.
It reminded you of the soft countryside you called home, before you moved to the big scary city of Gotham. All you needed now was the soft hum of the lawnmowers from the neighbours, or the soft patter of rain that was an open invitation for you to go out in your bare feet, letting the morning dew tickle your toes as you searched for frogs in nothing but your nightgown.
But sadly, home was far away now- and so was the country.
It was a burning dream of yours to go back, to build or find a little cottage where you could grow all the flowers you wanted, having a little garden, filled with sweet delights like berries you could make into jam for your homemade sourdough.
With whoever tended to your dreams with you.
It was what you were working for. And if you found someone along the way, you supposed it would make the cloudy days a bit more comforting.
For now, the closest you could get was your little job at the local florist shop.
It brought you joy, especially on sunny days like today, where business was booming and you could meet lovely people of all ages. Either trying to get some tulip bulbs they could plant in their yard in the fall, or if they needed a bouquet for their loved ones.
The thought of your regular, a sweet older woman named Barbra made you smile at the idea she’d come in, grumbling as usual about the traffic or whatever it may be, just to burst into a smile as soon as she saw you tie a new bouquet together with pink ribbon.
You always snuck her a little flower, typically a baby's breath for her under the counter, to add to her collection of random florals.
You stretched, letting the rarity of sunlight in Gotham trickle through your window and onto your face, savouring the warmth of the summer months. Although you noticed it was a lot more sunny than you were told it would be, since moving here.
An odd fluke, you supposed.
Taking your time, as you always woke up early enough to savour the light of the day as if you were Snow White herself, you made your bed, sheets smelling of the lavender spray from the florals you’d collected yourself.
Next was the tea of course, herbals often woke you up. Letting the soft lace of your nightgown brush your thighs, you headed towards the kitchen towards the kettle, the fresh batch of scones you made the other night your next destination.
As you waited for the water to boil, you couldn't help but lean back against the counter, a soft smile on your face as you observed your indoor plants.
It wasn't the end goal, but it was a beautiful pit-stop along the way. And that, you could be happy with.
❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。
Barbra’s presence could be felt before it could be heard.
You peered up at her little frame, slightly hunched over, but in working condition, nonetheless. You called her a well oiled machine. She called herself a grouchy piece of shit.
But today, something was different.
Was that… a smile on her face? Before she had come inside to greet you?
Odd.
You peered out the window, trying not to seem too obvious as you glanced outside, and saw her talking to… a man?
A beautiful man, at that. Tall, at least a foot or so taller than you, his muscles practically bulging out of his little Black Canary Tour shirt.
You could tie a pretty pink ribbon around them just for it to snap the second he did so much as move his bicep.
But what really captivated you was the baby blues that gleamed at Barbra. The way his smile seemed to twinkle in the sun, real and genuine as he laughed. He was so animated, hands moving as he talked, before his fingers pointed to you.
You froze.
Quickly scurrying away, out of sight to make yourself busy, and to tend to your racing heart.
Soon, a little jingle of the shop bell rang out, and you poked your head out from the daisies, preparing for the worst.
“You’re smiling? Who are you, and what did you do with Barbra?” you teased, making her laugh.
“You got yourself a suitor out there eh? A handsome one at that.” Barbra smiled, wacking your arm gently with her newspaper. Your eyes widened.
“Suitor?”
“Yeah dolly he’s right into ya. I was about to go harass him, as he was staring at you a little too much for my liking, like some black cat on a windowsill. Spooked the damn boy, was about to give him hell until I saw the look in his eye.”
You raised your eyebrow, crossing your arms over your chest.
“What look in his eye?”
“Love.”
You snorted, rolling your eyes. “Love. Right.”
“You know better than to question me girl. I know best. I’ve lived a lot more lives than you, and I know what love looks like. That man is head over heels.”
Something like warmth bloomed in your chest at her words, and you couldn't help but hope it was true. He was so handsome, and if he could manage to make Barbra laugh, there must have been something about him that was special.
“I’m sure. In love with a nobody flower shop girl who clips flower stems in her free time.”
“The most beautiful girl in the city, who happens to clip flower stems in her free time. Now, shut up and give me some sunflowers dear. I’m on my way to bridge practice and I need to get these to my sister.”
You nodded, collecting her flowers and ignoring her payment.
“Well, get on then you grouch.”
She laughed, slipping you a twenty despite your protests, and was out the door before you could process the sneaky bill slip she performed and give it back to her.
For an older woman, she was fast.
The bell rang again, and you expected her to toss another comment about getting your head out of your ass, but you were royally surprised when the handsome stranger was there instead.
Sun shown from the back of his head, illuminating him like he was an angel, halo burning brightly. You urged yourself to not let his beauty consume you.
“Do you always just watch girls from outside their work, or is this special treatment?” you asked, leaning against the counter.
He smiled. “Only you. Isn't that so cheesy?”
“Or creepy, depending on how you look at it. But Barbra likes you. So I suppose I can find it in my heart to forgive you for your vigilante activities.”
His hand went to his heart, bowing his head almost in solitude.
“She really knows how to scare a man.”
“I heard one time she twisted a man's balls so hard he had to go to the hospital, because he thought they were going to fall off.”
You laughed at his shocked reaction, turning into an easy grin as he walked towards you, towering over you from behind the counter.
“Now, are you here to buy anything? Or just flirt with me?” you asked boldly.
“Both. Is that okay?”
You felt heat rise to your cheeks and you looked away quickly, shrugging.
“Suppose.”
“Y/N…” he read your delicate nametag, the writing in your own penmanship, swirly, girly font with a little blooming tulip next to it.
“Forgive me if this question sounds odd but… what's a pretty thing like you doing in Gotham? You’re the human form of the sun. You shine so brightly here it's almost blinding.”
You froze at his words, trying to not let them know how much they impact you.
You’re the human form of the sun.
No one, no man- had ever said anything so kind to you. So near and dear to your heart. It nearly caught you off guard. All you could do was smile at him softly, batting your lashes at him as you tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, letting your bracelets jangle.
“I’m here to shine.” was all you said as you shrugged, turning your back to him to gather flowers that matched his energy.
You didn't even know what he was in here for. You were too flustered to ask.
Instead, you felt his eyes following your figure as you selected the blossoms, reaching up on your tiptoes to select some that were out of reach.
Soft blues and whites- blue stars, baby's breath, and columbines. You sprinkled in some soft yellows, buttercups and primroses. Tying it all together with a soft, pale baby blue ribbon, humming to yourself softly.
“For…?” you asked, pen hovering just above the little card.
“Dick. Dick Grayson.” You nodded, writing his name, and feeling even so bold as to even scratch your number just under it. Maybe your countryside future could be closer than you thought.
And by the look on his face as he saw your number on that very same tea stained card, he must have thought the same.

You had fallen.
Hard.
And god, could anyone blame you?
God himself couldn't blame you, for all the time Richard Grayson had swirled through your mind, clouding your thoughts until they were sprinkles of pollen.
He was sweet, like the lemonade you made for him when he first came over to visit your place.
He had a green thumb. He liked mint chocolate chip ice cream, which you would never give him the satisfaction of knowing, but you liked it too. He was polite, always holding the door for you, a soft palm on your back as he’d lead you inside, always closing his eyes whenever you changed in front of him, claiming it wasn't gentleman like to watch a woman change (though you caught his fingers peel from his eyes a few times).
He was an animal lover. He was nurturing, and wanting nothing more than to provide for you.
And he always listened. About anything, really- but especially when you talked about your future.
With him in it.
It made his heart swell up so large he feared it would break his ribcage, at the mention of your garden, and your chickens, dogs, ducks, cats- the homemade meals and soft cuddles by the stone fireplace.
All involving him.
Of course you included his interests- referring to the dogs as his dogs, mentioning his favourite dishes, and his brothers coming to visit whenever they wanted. Talks on your couch turned into sweet kisses, gentle touches and addicting tastes of mint, coffee and the musk of cinnamon.
It was all you had wanted, and if God, or anyone judged you for the temptations of Eve’s apple, it was something you’d collect seeds from and grow yourself.
An apple tree of temptation, the branches of Dicks embrace wrapping you tightly.
Barbra noticed it too, the effect he had on you. How somehow- someway, she had stated, you seemed even more bright.
Butterflies had practically found their way to you, fluttering on the flowers outside the store, resting on your fingers as you sent them off to the sun. Birds chirped even louder, the faint smell of honey and cinnamon a constant warm embrace around you as you left Dicks arms in the morning, spreading your wings to go off on your own, to tend to the store.
It was an unusual day today though, you noted.
It was cloudier than it had been lately, though that was Gotham. Light sprinkles of rain pattered off your umbrella as you walked to the floral shop, and despite the rain, you still found it in your heart to smile at anyone who passed by.
It was quiet today, and you had expected just as much. Tonight would be equally as quiet, as Dick had plans with his brother, Jason. You urged him to go off and do his own thing, as even sometimes you needed your own space.
Tonight would be filled with fluffy blankets, buttery popcorn, some mint chip ice cream, and superhero movies. A perfect night, in your opinion. Perhaps a beeswax candle could be lit- a reminder of Dicks sweet smell that stained the pillows.
Your thoughts of the Friday night ahead were whisked away as a customer stepped inside, shaking the rain from her bright red hair.
She smiled, waving slightly as she adjusted her very large purse, starting to browse around. You smiled back, turning your back to resume your task, letting her browse in peace. You never liked to hound anyone, knowing how annoying it could be as a customer yourself, when pesky store owners nagged at you, or pressured you to buy something you were having doubts on.
Plus, if she had questions, she’d ask.
You were approachable enough. Or at least you hoped you were.
By the time you turned around again, she was out of sight. Nothing left of her but the gentle chime of the door bell as her heels clicked against the pavement.

As you were doing your rounds before closing, something had you stop in your tracks.
A plant.
Of course, a plant was not out of place in a florist shop, but this particular one, captured your attention. It was foreign to you, which was unusual, considering you had spent countless years pouring over plant textbooks, and gathering as much hands-on experience in the garden that you could muster.
But this… this was not something you had ordered in.
Then how the hell had it gotten here?
You picked up the pot, observing the unusual markings on the petals. It was beautiful, the flowers almost mimicking those of a lilly. But you knew deep down, it wasn't.
As you picked up the pot, you were blinded.
You gasped, inhaling pollen as it sprayed at you, almost like a mist of freckles that splattered on your cheeks, getting in your nose, your mouth, clouding your vision.
You coughed, setting the plant down where it had rested, waving the air as your vision blurred, tears starting to trickle down your cheeks. Making your way over to the counter, you started to sneeze and cough, feeling as if the vapors were choking you.
At least you could see now, scrambling off your apron and tossing it somewhere- unknown to you.
You’d deal with it tomorrow. For now, you needed fresh air, and a clear head. Whatever had sprayed you, it was having an effect- fast.
Your body felt tense. Like it had been strung up on a live wire. Heat curled in your gut, strong and fast- like a current that threatened to drag you under its vicious waves.
Sweat dotted at your forehead, your fingers curling into fists. It was so hot you fought the urge not to strip naked and lay on the cool wooden floor.
But no, god no- you needed to get home. To lay down, get some rest, and let this do its thing.
But your head was clouded. Foggy.
All you knew was that you felt hot, bothered and needy.
You wanted Dick. But Dick was with his brother and he needed time to himself, and to enjoy his family… and yet you dialed his number anyways.
He would know what to do. He could help you, could touch you, could take away this pain, this need- this want that consumed you whole- like Goya's Satan consuming your very flesh.
It took two quick rings before his gentle voice answered, quickly turning to concern as you moaned.
“Sweetheart? What's going on?”
“Some plant. I found some plant when I was closing, I don't know what the hell it is but it sprayed me and now I can’t- I can't think- God its so hot-” you panted, slouching against the counter, grounding yourself onto the floor as you let your head lull back.
“Fuck. Fuck sweetheart, where are you now? I’m coming right now.”
“N-no s’okay stay with Jason. I just didn't know if you knew-” you hiccuped, groaning again as you felt your clothes start to stick to your body.
“If you knew what it was. Maybe I can sleep it off.”
You heard a low voice in the background, catching some of the words the man, presumably Jason, mumbled. “Its Ivy. That sex pollen shit we saw a while ago, but fuck Bruce hasnt found a cure yet.”
“Sweetheart, did anyone new come into the shop today that looked unfamiliar?”
You nodded, even though you knew he couldn't see you. The drug was making you hazy.
“Some redhead came in with a large purse. But I didn't think anything of it. She was gone before I could offer her help.”
You heard cursing on the other line, before Dick begged for you to stay conscious. “I’m gonna be right there sweetheart, you just stay put okay? Shut the blinds, lock the door and if it's me, I’ll knock three times.”
You tossed your phone as he hung up, tugging at your top. You had turned the air on, yet it felt so stuffy and hot you felt like you might puke.
“Fuck. Fuck, fuck I need-” you gasped, letting your hands cup your breasts, toying at your hardened nipples through the lacy floral bra fabric, feeling heavy and aching. You started to unbutton your pants, shimmying them off your body, sweat sticking to them.
Trapped in your own head, you let your fingers trace your body, but it wasn't enough.
Whatever had sprayed you, it wanted more. It wanted him.
And almost as if it was some divine intervention, the plant weaving its vines around Dick Grayson to tug him to the front door, you heard three quick wraps on a knuckle on the door.
“Sweetheart? It's me honey, can you let me in please? I’m gonna make you feel better okay?”
You groaned, starting to crawl to the front door, reaching up to unlock the door for your savour. And fuck, the sight before him made him hard.
It felt wrong, and dirty to feel so turned on at the sight of you- but he couldn't help it.
There you were, on your knees, looking up at him with so much need in your eyes, lips quivering as sweat trickled down your neck. The pollen stained your cheeks like golden freckles, like constellations in the sky that sang to him.
“Oh my poor, sweet girl.” he cooed, locking the door behind him as he crouched down, cupping your cheek with his palm, stroking little circles gently with his thumb.
“M’gonna make you feel better little dove, okay? You just tell me what you need from me. But we gotta, we gotta get this out of your system.”
You nodded, wincing slightly, not from pain- but from overstimulation as his hand trickled down to stroke your bare collarbones, eyes darting to your pretty pink floral set that sent his mind reeling.
“H-how do we fix this Dickie?” you whimpered, his heart nearly crackling into pieces at how sweet his nickname sounded from your cherry blossom lips.
“Well it's a sex pollen honey so I think- well we have to…”
“Have sex?” you asked and he nodded.
“That would make me feel better. All I can think of and feel is this fuzzy, burning need. It hurts.”
He cooed, letting his hand rest just above your throbbing core. “Right here honey? Is this where it hurts?”
You nodded frantically, guiding his hand down to your soaked panties, juices already coating his fingers from the simple brush of his fingers.
He groaned, the sound making you whimper in delight.
“And right here. M’so sorry Dickie-”
“No, no you don't get to apologise for this honey. You take what you need from me, okay? I’m gonna help you feel all better again, get that fuzziness out of your head.”
Your hands slipped up to tangle in his hair, tugging at the soft, dark raven locks hungrily as your lips found his. He melted into your touch, and you couldn't help but savour the feeling of dominance you had over him.
Even if it was an illusion.
You felt so hungry you couldn't help but straddle him, letting your hands roam over his body, touching anywhere you could reach. It was as if he had been sprayed as well, with the way he was touching you back.
Manhandling you up into his lap, gripping your ass as you began to grind on the fly of his jeans, letting the cool flicker of the zipper soothe your ache as you dampened the fabric.
Guiding you with his hands, urging you to do whatever you wanted to him. As if he was in this as much as you were.
Your equal.
“Need- need you now please.” you practically whined, tugging his shirt over his head, his warm chest now flush with yours, his fingers toying with the back of your bra strap. You gasped as it fell, sliding down your arms, his fingers wrapping around the nipple and tugging on it harshly.
The pain was delicious. You needed more.
“Take what you need sweetheart. My sweet flower.”
You wasted no time tugging his pants off, throwing them haphazardly on the floor with your undergarments, hands guiding him down to the floor.
“You’re so good to me.” you whispered, head bowing as he ran his cock through your soaked folds, before slowly guiding himself in.
Your eyes widened, as if sparks had gone off and illuminated throughout your body.
This. This was what you needed.
All of this, the feeling of him stretching you, guiding you in with such compassion and tender praises, cooing at your little expressions and sounds as he filled you to the brim.
It was as if the pain had stopped, just briefly. Dick Grayson was your cure.
“Big stretch I know baby. I’m sorry, I didn't have time to prep you m’just worried… oh-” he was cut off by your sudden movements, riding him like your life depended on it.
Which it did. You didn't have time to waste. And it was like this thing- this pollen had taken hold of your body, and you were a puppet on its strings.
Gripping his chest, your nails dug and scratched him as you tossed your head back, letting him admire you as much as he wanted. The way your lips hung open as your sweet little moans trailed from them, your forehead scrunched in concentration, letting the waves of the pleasure consume you.
Your eyes, closed, lashes fluttering your cheeks, crying out his name.
The sight alone almost had Dick Grayson come undone. But he had to hold off for you, had to help you first. That was always his rule.
“There you go sweetheart, doing so good for me. Feels so fuckin good oh my god- ridin me like that..” he cooed, hands firm on your hips as he thrusted up, meeting you half way.
Until he couldn't control himself, picking a rhythm that you mindlessly followed, body going limp as he pounded into you- taking control. Knowing that was what you needed.
You didn't even need to tell him where you were, he knew, could feel you squeezing him.
“Let go for me honey. Good girl..” he cooed softly, holding you close to his chest as you came down from your high, legs quivering as you clung to him like a teddy bear.
“Is it over?” You asked softly, your head on his steady heartbeat as he stroked your hair. He shook his head.
“I’m not sure honey. You might need a few more rounds, but I promise, you’ll be okay. Its almost out of your system.”
You nodded, feeling the surge of pleasure lap at your insides, letting it consume you wholly again.
“I’m so sorry Dickie.”
He stopped you, silencing you with a kiss. “Stop apologizing, my sweet girl. We’re gonna get through this. We’re in the home stretch, and I’ve got you. I’m here. Gonna make it all better.”
And deep down, you knew that was the truth.
It had taken a few more rounds for your fiery insides to burn down to little embers, loud moans turning to soft whimpers and hiccups. And he was there with you for all of it, on the floor, against the wall, up on the counter.
And each way he handled you, made you feel like a delicate little petal, despite your actions being anything but.
Holding you in his arms when the flush from your body subsided, and your skin had cooled to a normal temperature, when sleep consumed your body as you lay curled in his lap, his shirt acting as a blanket that you breathed in deeply.
His cum trickling down your thighs, that he had cleaned up before slipping you back into your clothes, and carrying you back to your apartment.
And you knew then, that he’d never leave you. Not now, and not ever.

══════════════════════════
It was a typical Thursday night— your desk lamp casted a soft glow over your notes as you flipped through flashcards for your biology test. You were focused, head down as you muttered terms under your breath, determined to cram as much into your brain as humanly possible before crashing, then came the voice.
"Oh, Y/n!!!"
Your door flew open with no hesitation. You didn't even have time to respond before Jaemin strolled in like he owned the place, grinning from ear to ear.
"What the fuck." You muttered under your breath, barely looking up as he waltzed in and flopped himself onto your bed.
"Jaemin, what are you doing here— how did you even get in?" You asked, spinning in your chair with a look of disapproval stretched across your face.
He shrugged nonchalantly. "Your hot roommate let me in."
You raised a brow. "The one who has a crush on you?"
"The one I may fuck." He said with a grin as he stretched out, hands behind his head, settling in like he had no plans of leaving anytime soon.
"Ok, yuck. Didn't you literally fuck the other one?" You said flatly, turning back to your desk, scooping up your stack of color coded flashcards with a sigh. "Seriously though, what are you doing here? I told you I'm locking in tonight."
"You lock in every night." He said, dragging out a dramatic sigh.
"And that's why our intelligence levels are not in the same bracket." You joked, a small smirk appearing on your lips, even though your eyes stayed focused on the pile in front of you.
"So you don't love me, I guess?" He asked, his voice tilting into that overly dramatic tone you knew too well.
"Exactly." You said, spinning around to face him again.
"Wow... so cold. After ten years of friendship, this is how I'm treated? Unrequited love, what a tragedy." He said, clutching his chest, face twisted in fake agony.
"I love you, Jaemin. I've loved you since we were nine. You're my best friend ever. There, happy now?" You said deadpan, raising an eyebrow.
He froze for a second, then grinned slowly. "Wow... so you really love me? Like, really love me? You'd do anything for me, because you're so in love with me, right?"
You narrowed your eyes immediately. You knew that tone, it was the 'I need something' voice.
"What do you want Jaemin?" You sighed, already regretting humoring him.
"Ugh, you know me too well. Ok, hear me out." He said sitting up now, a bright smile spreading across his face. "I need a favor. A small one— tiny really."
You crossed your arms. "What kind of favor?"
"I need you to come to a party with me tomorrow night."
You blinked. "A party? Jaemin, you know I don't do parties. Especially not when I have class the next day."
"You have class at noon on Fridays." He countered quickly. "You'll be fine."
You gave him a long, skeptical look. "So all I have to do is... go to a party with you? That's it?"
He opened his mouth and hesitated.
You instantly leaned back. "Nope... nope, you're already pushing it. What's the real reason?"
"Wait! Just... let me explain, please." He clapped his hands together in a prayer gesture.
You sighed. "Ok fine. I'm listening, speak."
He sat up straighter, his grin faltering just a bit. "There's this guy, Haechan. I'm really fucking pissed at him."
You tilted your head. "Why?"
"He slept with the girl I really liked. Like, genuinely liked, not just thought was hot liked."
"Oof, I'm sorry." You said. "And... what does that have to do with me?"
He looked at you, dead serious now. "I want revenge."
You squinted. "What kind of revenge?"
"I want you to distract him. Just talk to him, keep him downstairs at the party, keep him busy, while I... you know."
"Jaemin." You said slowly. "Distract him from what?"
He hesitated for only a second, then smiled. "From me."
Your eyes narrowed. "If you're doing anything illegal, I'm out."
"I'm trying to fuck his sister."
There was a full beat of silence as your mouth dropped open, eyes wide.
"You what— seriously?" You said, disbelief and a reluctant laugh bubbling up all at once.
"She's hot!" He defended, already laughing. "And it's perfect, he'll lose his shit when he finds out."
"You couldn't just... I don't know, hook up with a girl he likes or something? Call it even?" You asked, raising a brow.
"Yeah well, Haechan doesn't like girls." Jaemin said casually.
You blinked, your brows furrowing slightly. "...hmm?"
He held up a finger with a small smile. "Not like that, don't look at me like that."
You leaned back, smirking. "Mmm, sure."
"What I mean is, he doesn't have feelings for anyone. Not girls, not really anyone. He just uses people— gets what he wants, then tosses them aside. He's emotionally detached. Kind of fucked up, honestly."
You frowned slightly. "You're just being dramatic."
"He's dramatic!" Jaemin shot back. "The man throws house parties on Thursdays for no reason. He once invited a girl over, got head, and then called her a uber while she was still on her knees."
Your eyes widened slightly. "Damn, he sounds like a real asshole. How does someone like that have this big of a name already?"
"He's a senior." Jaemin said with a roll of his eyes. "But all he does is throw parties, drink, and do drugs. He's a loser honestly."
You exhaled. "So... all I have to do is distract him— nothing else?"
"That's it. Just talk to him, keep him downstairs for like twenty minutes. If he tries anything, call me and I'll come get you. Promise."
You bit your lip, thinking. "Ok Fine, but only this once."
"YES! Oh my god, I love you so much, you're actually the best." Jaemin said, beaming at you.
"Yeah, yeah. Now you owe me, pick up those flashcards." You said, tossing the stack into his lap as you turned back to your desk.
He caught them and gave a smile. "Delighted, my queen."
You just rolled your eyes, but your smile lingered as you reached for your pen.
══════════════════════════
You finished the final touches on your hair, giving yourself one last glance in the mirror before grabbing your phone. Right on cue, Jaemin's name lit up the screen with a text:
Jaemin [11:47 PM]:
"I'm outside."
Stepping outside, you spotted him leaning against his car, arms crossed and a grin already spreading across his face as he saw you approach.
"Damn." He said, letting his gaze travel from head to toe with an exaggerated nod of approval. "You look sexy."
"Thank you, Jaemin." You replied smoothly, brushing past him with a hint of sarcasm in your voice.
He opened the passenger side door for you, but paused before you could step in. "I mean... we don't have to go right now, you know. We could go upstairs instead— chill a little, you and me... one on one." He tilted his head, giving you the same smirk he always uses when he's up to no good.
You raised your hand and snapped your fingers right in front of his face. "Focus."
"I am focused." He said, blinking slowly. "Just... not on the party anymore."
"Seriously." You said, sliding him a look as you walked to the car. "Is it your life's mission to try and sleep with every girl you meet?"
"Not every girl." He replied, shrugging as he followed behind. "Only the special ones."
You raised a brow. "And what would your mother think of you throwing yourself at someone who's practically your sister?"
"Ew, don't say it like that." He scowled, visibly shuddering. "That ruined it for me, thanks."
"Good." You smirked, climbing into the car.
He got in on the driver's side and started the engine, throwing you a side glance. "You're lucky I love you, anyone else and I'd have driven off by now in heartbreak."
"Right, so tragic." You said with fake sympathy, adjusting your seatbelt.
Jaemin chuckled, turning up the music just enough to fill the space between you. The drive was short, maybe ten minutes at most, but the energy shifted just slightly as the neon lights of the house party came into view down the street.
He slowed the car and looked over at you. "Hey... real talk for a second."
You turned toward him, a little wary. "What?"
"I know I joke a lot." He said, eyes flicking over your face, a little more serious now. "But I'm not gonna throw you into the deep end or anything. If this gets weird or Haechan gets weird, just call me and I'll come get you, no questions."
You blinked, surprised by the softness in his voice. "Jaemin..."
"And if you wanna bail at any point." He added. "Just say the word."
A small smile appeared on your lips. "Thanks. I mean it's just a distraction mission, right? I think I can handle that."
He nodded, but his gaze lingered on you. "I know you can. You're... careful, thoughtful— like you think ahead."
You gave a dry laugh. "You say that like it's a bad thing."
"It's not." He said. "Just means I won't have to worry about you doing something stupid."
Your eyes narrowed slightly. "What are you trying to say?"
He hesitated, then said it gently: "I remember that conversation we had last year. About how you were still, you know... saving yourself."
Your cheeks flushed instantly. "Wow, really bringing that up right now?"
"I'm not judging." He said quickly. "I actually think it's cool. You're not like the rest of them, that's why I care if you're ok."
You looked out the window, the beat of the music fading under the weight of his words. "Thanks, I guess."
Jaemin parked across the street, cutting the engine. "I know I'm an asshole sometimes, but I wouldn't bring you into this if I didn't trust you."
You exhaled slowly, then met his eyes. "Ok, let's do this."
"Hell yeah." He grinned, hopping out and circling around to open your door once more.
You stepped into the house, instantly hit by the loud bass of the music and the scent of weed, alcohol, and too much cologne. Bodies swayed under strobe lights, some grinding against each other, others already too far gone to care how they looked. Jaemin kept a casual, but protective hand on your lower back as he guided you through the crowd, eyes scanning the room like he was on a mission.
"That's him." He muttered, leaning down so only you could hear. He nodded subtly toward the kitchen.
Your gaze followed and landed on a guy behind the counter, restocking a row of liquor bottles.
You paused, he was... hotter than expected.
Black hair, tan skin, a body that made a plain black tee and jeans look like he was born for it. His movements were effortless, confident. His smile, charming. There was something in the way he looked people in the eye when talking, like they were the only person in the room. Your lips parted slightly as you took him in, eyes dragging over the way his shirt clung to his waist, the veins on his forearm flexing as he adjusted a bottle.
"Oh no." Jaemin teased, pulling you out of your trance. "Are we losing you already?"
"No." You said too quickly, blinking yourself back into reality. "No, just observing."
"Mmhmm." Jaemin smirked. "Well, he's your target babe. You've got all night."
"Lucky me." You muttered half sarcastically, but then he grabbed your arm gently.
"You sure?"
You turned toward him. "Yeah, are you?"
He nodded, though a flicker of something uncertain passed over his face. "Just, wait." He reached into his pocket and held something out, a condom.
"Jaemin—"
"Just in case." He said, tone serious now. "Even if he insists, don't let him talk you into going raw, I mean it."
You rolled your eyes, but smiled. "I'm not gonna do anything, relax."
"I know you won't, Y/n." He said, softer now. "But he'll try and sometimes the heat of the moment sneaks up on you. So just... have it, please."
You took it with a small nod and shoved it into your back pocket.
"Good luck with your girl." You said.
"Good luck with your guy. If you need me, call me."
And with that, you were on your own.
You straightened your shoulders, pulled your confidence up, and walked toward the kitchen— eyes locked on him the whole time. He didn't notice you at first, too busy rearranging cups and pouring mixers, but when he turned, his gaze landed on you like a spark.
"You look a little bored over here all alone." You said, voice smooth.
He looked you over slowly, thoroughly. "I am, are you gonna do something about that?"
"Maybe." You smiled, tilting your head. "But are you really worth my time?"
He grinned, a cocky thing that only made him more irresistible. "Maybe."
You watched as he accidentally slammed a bottle of tequila a little too hard on the counter, too distracted by your presence.
"I don't know..." You said, stepping closer. "You can't even handle a bottle. What makes you think you can handle me?"
He leaned a little closer, voice dropping. "I can— when I'm drinking."
"That doesn't sound very fun." You teased, watching the way his eyes flickered down to your lips.
"It is fun." He said. "Especially with a pretty girl like you."
Your hand slid over his on the counter, fingers brushing against his skin as you lifted the bottle from under his touch. "Then why aren't we drinking?"
He paused for a second, watching you intently. "Why aren't we?"
"You're still hogging the bottle." You murmured.
For a moment, you were locked in a wordless gaze, one of those silences that say more than anything spoken. You held it, tested him with your eyes.
"Are you just gonna stare." You finally said. "Or are you gonna pour me a shot?"
He smiled and grabbed two glasses, pouring quickly.
"What are we cheering to?" He asked.
You smirked. "To wherever this night takes us."
He clinked his glass to yours. "Dangerous words."
You both downed the shots, the tequila burning its way down your throat. You didn't even shudder.
"Wow." He said, licking his lips. "You took that like a champ."
"I can take a lot." You replied, wiping the corner of your mouth and not looking away once.
"That so? He said, exhaling slowly, pausing for a second. "Then take another with me."
"Don't you wanna wait?" You asked, your voice hinting a bit of concern.
"I thought you said you could take it." He challenged.
"Are you calling me a liar?" You raised a brow.
"Yeah." He shrugged. "I guess I am."
You grabbed your glass, poured another, and tossed it back without blinking, and he followed right after. That turned into a third, then a fourth.
By now, your skin was buzzing, cheeks flushed with heat. The line between performance and reality blurred fast.
You talked about nothing— music, parties, stupid shit, other people you both barely knew, but everything had a spark to it. The way his gaze lingered when you laughed, the way his hand brushed your waist when reaching for more cups, the subtle way your knees touched.
"You dance?" He asked, stepping just slightly closer.
"Depends who's asking."
He gave that dangerous smile again. "You know who's asking."
You glanced at your phone, and still no text from Jaemin. Thirty minutes of flirtation— of temptation. You looked back up at Haechan, something electric passing between you.
You smirked. "Let's dance then."
The music pulsed around you as he led you out of the kitchen and into the crowd. The beat was dark, seductive, and you let yourself move to it, swaying your hips, letting the rhythm take you. His hands found your waist. You didn't stop him. His body pressed behind yours, chest to back, his lips brushing close to your ear every time he said something teasing.
His hand slid lower and you turned to face him, now chest to chest, bodies moving in sync.
He leaned in close, mouth brushing your ear. "You wanna go upstairs?"
You paused, swallowing hard. "Mmm... I don't know..."
He pulled back just enough to see your eyes. "Why not?"
"I don't want you to think I'm some kind of whore or something." You admitted, voice quieter now.
He blinked, then tilted his head, gaze softening just slightly. "Then let's not go upstairs."
You blinked at him, not responding.
He leaned closer again, voice husky. "Come here."
Before you could respond, he took your hand and led you down a dim hallway off the side of the living room, the noise of the party muffled behind you. It was quiet here, secluded . You were suddenly aware of how your pulse picked up.
He pushed you against the wall, hands bracing both sides of your head.
"This okay?" He asked.
You nodded slowly, heart racing and then his lips were on yours.
It was hot, insistent. His mouth moved like he already knew how you liked to be kissed— like you were meant to be tasted slowly, like his hands couldn't decide whether to cup your cheek or grip your hip tighter.
He pressed closer, lips trailing down your neck, his hand tugging lightly at the hem of your shirt. You gasped, your body reacting faster than your brain could catch up.
And then your phone buzzed, twice.
You broke the kiss breathless, and fished it from your back pocket. Jaemin.
"Clear. Let's go."
You looked up at Haechan, his lips kiss bitten.
"Aw, I gotta go." You said softly, smiling while biting your lip.
He blinked, still catching his breath. "Seriously?"
You said nothing, just shrugged.
He smirked, eyes glinting. "You leaving now makes me want you more."
You backed away slowly, keeping eye contact as you fixed your shirt. "Good."
You turned, leaving him in the hallway, the taste of tequila still tingling on your lips.
You met Jaemin at the front door just as he was coming down the porch steps, his hair slightly tousled, lips flushed, and a dazed kind of grin stretching across his face. His shirt was wrinkled, and he looked like he'd just barely remembered how to walk straight.
You raised an eyebrow, smoothing your own hair out with your fingers. "What took you so long?"
He laughed, wiping his mouth like he was still catching his breath. "Got caught up in the moment."
You rolled your eyes as you both started walking down the sidewalk, leaving the pulse of the party behind you.
"I've never seen you this messed up in person." He said, glancing at you.
You just shrugged, before turning to him. "How was your night?"
"Fucking amazing." He said, letting out a blissed sigh. "She was... yeah, worth it."
You smirked. "I'm happy for you. Sounds like you had fun."
He turned to look at you, a little more alert now. "What about you? How'd it go?"
You shrugged with a soft smile, brushing your fingers against your lips almost unconsciously. "It was... fun. He's fun and hot— too hot, honestly."
Jaemin groaned dramatically, dragging his hand down his face. "Oh god, please don't tell me you slept with him."
You gave him a shove. "No, chill. He tried like you said he would, but I didn't. We just made out."
Jaemin gasped. "Y/n, you definitely have like, mono now."
You laughed, shoving him again. "He's not that bad."
"He's that bad." Jaemin said, shooting you a look. "How was he looking at you? It was probably like he was deciding how to ruin your life in the hottest way possible."
You gave a dreamy little sigh. "Yeah... I noticed."
Jaemin gasped. "Oh my god, you're into him."
"No I'm not." You tucked your hands into your jacket pocket, smiling to yourself. "He's just... magnetic. Like, he knows exactly what to say and exactly how to look at you when he says it."
"Uh huh, that's called manipulation." Jaemin said.
"I mean, maybe." You admitted. "But he was also weirdly... sweet? Like, he actually listened to me talk and he didn't push when I said no."
Jaemin raised a skeptical brow. "Ok, maybe a half point for consent, but let's not pretend this is some romance. You got lucky. I've seen girls fall for his type before, and they don't come out looking as cute as you do right now."
You gave a laugh. "I don't think I'm going back anyway. Not my scene."
"Good." Jaemin said with a little relief in his voice. "Because he's probably not gonna let you step foot at another party anyways because you rejected him. That boy's ego is fragile."
You tilted your head thoughtfully. "Well, if I never plan on going back, it doesn't matter what he thinks of me."
Jaemin grinned. "And that's why I love you."
You rolled your eyes but smiled back. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever."
He reached over and draped his arm around your shoulder, pulling you into a sideways hug as you walked. "Seriously, thank you. You saved my ass tonight."
"I know I did." You grinned, letting yourself lean into him for a second. "You owe me, like, five coffees and a weekend of doing whatever I want."
"Done." He said immediately. "As long as 'whatever you want' doesn't include throwing yourself at Haechan again."
You laughed. "He threw himself at me, thank you very much."
"Right, right." He said, laughing. "Just remember who's actually got your back when you get those 'u up?' texts at 2 AM."
You gave a smile, already hearing the echo of Haechan's voice in your head, the taste of tequila and heat still lingering on your lips.
"I won't forget."
══════════════════════════
It had been about a week since the party, and life had mostly returned to normal. School, studying, sleep, repeat. But he kept showing up uninvited in the quiet moments between thoughts. The memory of his voice, the glint in his eyes, the way his hands felt when they slid around your waist like he'd done it a hundred times before. You hated how he stuck in your head.
Still, it was whatever. You weren't going to do anything about it. You had your routine, and it didn't include making out with cocky boys in back hallways at house parties.
You'd just wrapped up another cram session for your Thursday Bio test—highlighted notes and color coded flashcards spread across your desk, when you heard it. A familiar, echoing voice in the hallway.
"Y/n!"
You didn't even look up. "You never knock."
Jaemin burst into your room like he owned the place, arms wide, his signature grin already plastered on his face. "My beautiful Y/n, I have arrived."
You leaned back in your desk chair, crossing your arms. "I can see that."
He walked over to hug you, and you let him, even though you were still recovering from the mental strain of studying.
"You know." You mumbled as he pulled back. "One day you're going to bust in here and catch me changing or worse, touching myself."
"Even more reason to keep doing it." He smiled.
You rolled your eyes. "You're actually such a creep."
"Yeah, yeah." He laughed it off, but then paused. His smile lingered familiarly, but you saw the hesitation flicker in his eyes.
You squinted. "What do you want, Jaemin?"
He gasped dramatically. "Y/n! I'm hurt, you think I only come here when I need something?"
You gave him a look, one he couldn't argue with.
"Ok, fine." He said. "But in my defense, we help each other equally."
"You mean I help you and you buy me coffee once a month?"
"Exactly." He grinned.
You sighed. "What is it this time?"
Jaemin scratched the back of his neck. "So, remember how you said you wouldn't go back to the party again?"
You blinked slowly. "Yeah..."
"Well, technically I'm not asking you to go for you. I'm asking on behalf of... well, her. His sister, she invited me again, practically begged— and I think we both know how that's gonna go."
He glanced at you cautiously.
"And you want me to keep Haechan busy again." You finished for him, leaning back in your chair.
"Look, I wouldn't need you to, but it'd be... really helpful." He said carefully. "I just need him not in the way, just for a little while."
Your brain flickered back to Haechan. His smirk, the way he made you feel both seen and exposed. The way he leaned in like he already knew what you'd do next. You told yourself you were over it, just a one time heat of the moment thing. But even now, something twisted in your stomach at the thought of seeing him again.
"Listen, I know you said you're not—"
"I'm down." You said, the words escaping before your brain caught up.
Jaemin blinked. "Wait, seriously?"
You cleared your throat. "Yeah, sure. You need me, right?"
His eyes narrowed. "Wow you really like this guy."
You rolled your eyes. "I'm just looking out for a friend."
Jaemin crossed his arms, fake pouting. "I don't know, I'm reconsidering this whole plan now. First he gets the girl I liked, now it's my best friend? I might need to keep you on lockdown."
You smirked. "Maybe that was my plan all along, you should just stay in."
"Nope." He said, pointing at you. "We're going, but this is the last time, I swear. And for real, don't do anything with him. Now I'm actually worried."
You held up your hands in surrender. "It's my job to distract, that's what I'm gonna do."
"I don't know if I trust you with that anymore." He shook his head, even though he smiled.
"You should." You said quietly.
He paused. "I'm teasing." He said after a minute. "I do. I guess."
You just smiled, the kind that said you already made your decision.
The house was louder this time. Packed tighter, music thumping harder, the kind of base that made your bones vibrate. You stood with Jaemin for a moment, eyes scanning the crowd.
You told yourself this was just a favor, a distraction like last time.
But as soon as you saw him— Haechan, leaning casually against the kitchen counter, sipping something from a red cup with that lazy grin on his face, all of that logic began to melt.
He looked even better than you remembered. Black hoodie, chain peeking from under the collar, dark hair slightly damp.
He spotted you instantly, his smirk curling as he straightened up.
You glanced over at Jaemin. "You owe me."
"I owe you my life." He said, already making a beeline toward the stairs. And just like that, you were alone, again... with him.
Haechan pushed off the counter and met you halfway.
"Well, well." He said, voice low. "Look who came back for seconds."
You tilted your head. "Maybe I'm just here for the drinks."
His eyes scanned you, slow and deliberate. "You look like trouble tonight."
You stepped in, closing the gap just enough to be suggestive. "You think I wasn't trouble last time?"
He laughed, licking his lips. "No, last time you were temptation. Tonight? I don't think I'll be able to behave."
You let yourself smile just a little.
"Try to." You said, smirking as you hit Haechan's shoulder, weaving through the crowd and heading straight to the kitchen. The music thumped through the walls, as you grabbed a bottle of tequila from off the counter.
"You're already hurting my feelings." Haechan said from behind you, his voice dipping just enough to graze your nerves in that playful, confident way.
"How's that?" You asked turning, only for him to close the gap between you. His arms casually caging you against the counter, hands resting just close enough to your hips.
"Drinking without me." He said, smoothly taking the bottle from your hand like it belonged to him.
You tilted your head. "I'm sorry, who are you again?"
"You should know. It's my party, after all." He replied, that teasing grin never leaving his face as he leaned in just enough to test the space between you.
"You're cocky." You gave him a playful shove, but didn't move far.
"I'm Haechan. Who are you? I never got your name last time."
You raised an eyebrow. "Wow. Kissing a girl and not even knowing her name? I've heard about you, you know... what you do to girls, the type of person you are."
That made him pause for a second, his tongue darting out to wet his lips as he held your gaze. "But you're still here, aren't you?"
You didn't reply, just smiled slowly, head tilting amused at his boldness.
"So." He leaned in again. "Are you gonna leave me alone, or tell me your name?"
"Y/n."
"Pretty." He said, the smile that followed unusually soft, like he actually meant it.
You eyed the bottle still in his hand. "Are you just gonna stand there and smile at me, or pour the damn shots?"
"I thought you'd never ask." He reached past you, his arm brushing yours as he grabbed two shot glasses. His cologne hit you, mixing with the alcohol and the buzz in your chest.
The tequila burned on the way down, but it made your limbs feel warm, relaxed.
"Is tequila your favorite?" He asked, eyes not leaving you.
You shook your head, setting the glass down. "Vodka mixed drinks. I don't like taking things straight."
He grinned at that, grabbing a red solo cup. He poured vodka, rum, and a splash of something creamy and white—the scent immediately familiar.
"Pina colada mixer?" You asked, brow raised.
"You seem like the type. Plus, you told me last time." He said with a smile.
"You remembered?"
"Of course. You're kinda hard to forget." He said, clinking his cup to yours before sipping.
You looked down for a second, smile slipping in without warning. "I really shouldn't be talking to you."
"Says who?"
"Myself, my conscience."
He shrugged. "You're a big girl, smart too. You know what you're doing. Just let go a little, everything doesn't have to be heavy all the time."
You gave him a playful side eye. "No?"
"Nope. If it was, it wouldn't be fun."
Before you could reply, someone passed by and handed him what looked like a vape.
"Fuck yes." Haechan muttered, taking a long drag and exhaling slowly, the smoke curling out the side of his mouth.
He held it out. "Want a hit?"
"Nah, I don't vape."
He blinked a little surprised, then laughed. "Baby, this is a cart, not a vape."
"Oh." You giggled. "That makes sense. Smelled... different."
"So do you want it?" He asked again.
"I don't know, I don't really do drugs."
"It's just weed. It's chill— makes everything feel good." He said, his tone smooth, not pushy.
You hesitated, biting your lip.
"I'm not forcing you, but trust me— it's fine."
"...Okay, fine." You took the cart, cautiously bringing it to your lips and inhaling. It hit your lungs faster than you expected, making you cough, but after a few seconds you got used to it, taking a few more hits. Warmth spread through you, you felt light and weightless.
"Haechan." You murmured, blinking slowly, finishing the drink in your hand. "Let's dance."
He didn't argue. You pulled him onto the dance floor where bodies swayed and moved like one blur of motion, but you were only aware of him. His hands on your hips, guiding your movements. His breath brushing the curve of your neck. His mouth near enough to graze your ear when he laughed at something you said.
And then you kissed him.
You didn't think— your lips were on his, his hands tightening slightly on your waist as he melted into it. The kind of kiss that made everything else disappear.
"How about we take this up to my room?" He whispered into your mouth, voice low.
"I told you I felt like—"
"You're not a whore." He cut in gently. "I want you. That doesn't make you anything except someone I want."
You hesitated for a second, the distant part of your brain catching up. "I don't know, my friend might come looking for me. He was supposed to—"
"He's not here right now." Haechan's voice was low and coaxing. "You're here, with me. You can make your own decisions."
You didn't answer, just grabbed his hand and followed him upstairs.
You were halfway down the hallway, your heart fluttering, when you passed a room and the unmistakable sound of soft moaning filtered out from behind the closed door.
Haechan paused, head turning. "What the fuck?" He muttered, steps slowing.
Shit... Jaemin.
Before he could say anything more, you spun him to face you, grabbing his face urgently, your hands warm against his cheeks. His brows lifted in surprise.
"Focus on me." You whispered.
And then you kissed him again, deeper and slower this time. Your hands slid into his hair, pulling him closer as your bodies melted together. His hands found your waist again, but they didn't stop there, traveling up your sides, fingers over your bare skin as his mouth moved against yours with increasing hunger.
He backed you gently into the nearest wall, lips never leaving yours as the kiss deepened. Your back arched into his touch, your hands tugging at the collar of his shirt, desperate to feel more.
His mouth dragged from your lips down your jaw, kissing, teasing, then down your neck where he paused, sucking gently at the sensitive spot just below your ear.
"Room's this way." He murmured between kisses, and you followed him, half stumbling into his room, laughing softly as he shut the door behind you.
The moment it clicked shut, he was back on you, lips on your neck, hands guiding you toward the bed.
He pushed you down onto the bed, his body pressing against yours as he climbed on top. One hand slid roughly up your thigh, bunching your dress higher, never breaking contact with your neck as his mouth stayed hot against your skin.
His fingers played with the edge of your underwear for a moment, teasing, before pulling them down to your knees.
He paused then, lifting his head. His eyes met yours, and for just a second something shifted, uncertainty flickering across his face. He licked his lips like he was thinking, maybe even questioning, but before you could say anything, he lowered himself again, kissing a slow path down your body, lips soft against your thigh.
His breath was warm against your skin as he kissed the inside of your thigh, slow and steady, his hands holding your legs apart. Every movement felt like he wanted to make sure you felt everything— every kiss, every brush of his lips.
He glanced up at you once more, eyes darker now, the hesitation from before gone. Then he lowered his head again, his mouth finding the tender spot just above your knee, then higher. His fingers slid up your thighs, anchoring you in place as his mouth moved closer, teasing you.
You could feel your body tightening beneath him, breath catching in your throat as he finally reached your folds, his lips brushing against your clit, gentle at first.
Then he gave in completely, his mouth working you with focus, his hands gripping your hips like he never wanted to let go.
His tongue slid over you as he teased you with soft flicks and gentle pressure, each movement sending a wave of heat through your body. Your hips shifted under his touch, instinctively searching for more, but he held you steady, his grip firm on your thighs.
He looked up at you again, eyes heavy, mouth glistening. Then he dove back in, hungrier this time, his tongue moving with purpose now, circling, pressing. The sounds he made vibrated against you, adding to the overwhelming sensation building fast inside you.
Your fingers tangled in his hair, needing something to hold onto as he drove you higher. He responded to every twitch, every gasp, adjusting his pace, his pressure, as if he could read exactly what your body craved.
Then he slid one finger inside you slowly, deeply, curling just right. The rhythm of his hand and mouth worked in perfect sync, pulling you closer to the edge with each passing second.
That's when your phone buzzed, the vibration low, but sharp against the haze in your mind. Your eyes blinked open, lashes heavy as you glanced down. A message lit up the screen.
Jaemin [1:35 AM]:
"I'm ready. Meet me outside."
"Ignore it." Haechan murmured against your thigh, voice deep and muffled. His lips brushed warm against your skin, but your eyes stayed on the message.
"Mmm... I have to go." You said, sitting up slowly, the daze of alcohol and drug weighing your limbs.
"What?" He asked, looking up at you with hooded eyes, lips still wet.
You smiled, pushing hair from your face as you stood fully. "Leaving you on a cliffhanger again."
"You're evil." He smirked lazily.
"Mm, bite me." You teased with a wink, turning for the door.
"Wait." He cut through.
You paused, glancing back over your shoulder with a raised brow.
"Can I at least get your number or something?"
You shook your head, a quiet laugh slipping past your lips. "Where's the fun in that?"
And then you were gone, the door clicking shut behind you. Haechan just smiled to himself, letting out a breath as he ran a hand through his hair. "Unbelievable."
Outside, the cool air hit your flushed cheeks as you stumbled into the night, spotting Jaemin.
"There she is." He grinned. "Somebody's fucked."
"You are too, shut up." You giggled, smacking his chest lightly.
"Nah, just you. I'm only a little bit drunk." He gave you that smug, crooked smile that always made your stomach flip.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." You muttered with a grin, stumbling into him slightly.
His arm came around your shoulders without thinking steadying you, but then he stopped, glancing at your face more closely, his smile fading.
"Y/n." He said slowly. "Are you... high?"
You paused, lips parting like you hadn't even thought to lie. "Maybe." You giggled.
Jaemin stared at you, concern overtaking every line of his face. "You never do that shit... you barely drink anymore— what the hell happened?"
"Relax, Jaem. It was just weed, a few hits. I'm fine."
"You could've had a bad trip." He said, eyes narrowing. "Or what if it was laced? You don't know who the fuck gave you that. You don't know what could've happened—"
"Can you chill?" You said, laughing. "You sound like my parent."
"That's what I gotta be when you do stupid shit like this." His voice dropped, rough with something deeper. "I just... I don't want anything bad to happen to you."
You smiled. "I'm fine, I swear."
"Alright. I'm staying at your place tonight."
"Damn, thanks for asking."
He gave you a look and just giggled again.
When you got home, your shoes hit the floor one by one as you peeled off your jacket, then the thin dress that clung to your skin. You collapsed face first into your bed in only your bra and underwear, the sheets cool against your flushed skin.
Jaemin followed behind. He dropped into your desk chair with a heavy exhale, pulling his hoodie off and tossing it aside. He leaned back, phone in hand, scrolling casually.
"You look good in this lighting." You said, voice smooth and thick as you propped yourself up on your elbows.
He looked up at you over his screen, lips quirking. "You're really saying that right now?"
"Mmhmm." You let your eyes drag down his figure slowly. "You've always been pretty Jaemin."
He laughed under his breath, glancing back at his phone, but not before you caught the slight flush in his cheeks.
You sat up more, letting your legs dangle over the side of the bed, posture relaxed, but eyes sharp with mischief.
"Come here." You said.
He raised an eyebrow. "To the bed?"
"Yeah, just wanna be close."
He hesitated for half a moment before standing. "You're so high." He muttered with a smirk, making his way over. He sat beside you, hands propped behind him on the mattress.
You leaned into him, fingers brushing up his arm softly. "You smell good." You murmured, eyes locked on his lips.
"Do I?" He asked, amusement threading through his voice.
"You always do." Your fingers trailed over his chest now, dragging down to his stomach. His muscles tightened slightly beneath your touch, but he didn't stop you. "And your skin's soft..."
Jaemin watched you, breath slower now. "You're really flirting with me right now?"
"I'm not flirting." You said, tone quiet. "I'm appreciating."
Your lips ghosted along his jaw, then lower to the curve of his neck. He tilted his head slightly, allowing the contact. You kissed him there— slowly, sensual, your lips lingering just a second too long.
He swallowed hard.
"I know you like it." You whispered.
His hand slid instinctively to your thigh, gripping gently as your lips traced down the side of his throat. He leaned into it, breathing deep through his nose.
But then—
"Wait." He said suddenly, pulling back. "I can't."
You blinked, stunned by the shift. "Why not?" You asked, voice low as you stared up at him.
"You're my best friend." He said, the words stuttering off his tongue.
"Oh, but when you ask to fuck me it's a different story?"
"It is." He said.
"Mmm, really?" You smirked, sliding your hand up his torso again, fingers trailing.
"Yes." He said firmly. "You're not sober and you don't actually want me right now, you're just under the influence... as fuck."
"I always want you." You said, eyes locked on his.
He sighed, the tension in his body slowly fading into something softer. He wrapped an arm around you and pulled you against him gently, tucking you under his chin.
"Please go to sleep, Y/n. I'm right here, just rest."
And... you listened. Eyes fluttering closed, breath slowing as the world dimmed into his warmth.
══════════════════════════
Your eyes fluttered open, vision blurry and head pounding. The sunlight filtered weakly through the curtains. You slowly sat up, blinking against the ache throbbing in your skull.
Jaemin was sprawled next to you on top of the blankets, one leg stretched over the edge of the bed, scrolling casually through his phone.
He glanced over. "Relax, it's just me." He said, offering a small smile.
You exhaled deeply, rubbing your temples with your fingers. A sharp pain spiked behind your eyes, a groan escaping your lips as you reached for your head.
"Here." Jaemin said, reaching down for a plastic bag on the floor. "I got you some water, some food, and Advil— for your headache." He set it on the bed beside you.
"How'd you know I have a headache?" You asked, unscrewing the cap of the water and popping the pills into your mouth.
"Jesus, Y/n." He scoffed, sitting up straighter. "You were shit faced last night, obviously you're gonna have a hangover."
"Right." You said with a smile. "Thank you for taking care of me."
"Yeah, of course." He returned the smile briefly, his attention sliding back to his phone.
Silence settled between you, but it wasn't entirely comfortable. Your brain was still catching up to reality, glimpses of last night flickering through your mind in half lit flashes. Laughter, music, moaning in the hallway. Haechan, and Jaemin... your heart beat a little harder at that last part.
"Hey..." You started cautiously. "Did we—" You hesitated. "We didn't do anything, did we?"
He chuckled, but didn't answer right away. The silence stretched a second too long, just enough to make your stomach flip.
"You tried." He said finally, his voice was calm, almost amused, but the words made your chest tighten. "But I stopped it, and you went to sleep— so, all clear." He gave you a lazy smile.
"Phew." You exhaled, falling back onto your pillow in relief.
"Damn." He teased, raising a brow. "Am I that bad?"
"No, no." You said quickly, laughing. "I just don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything."
"All good over here, you don't." He replied, eyes flickering back to his phone.
You shook your head, grinning. "Damn, I'm such a horny freak."
"I see how you get when you're drunk... and high." He added, glancing over at you, disappointment flickering in his gaze.
"Stop, Jaemin." You groaned, pushing his shoulder playfully.
"I'm still disappointed about that." He said, his voice a little firmer. "You need to be more careful. That's the last time you're going there ever again."
"You can't tell me what to do." You teased, lips quirking into a smile.
"Ahh, I guess I can't." He said dramatically, reaching over and grabbing the bag of food.
"Stop, give it." You laughed, stretching across him to snatch it back. Your fingers brushed against his hand, and your eyes caught his for a long, silent moment.
Your voice softened. "You know... I'm seriously grateful that you take care of me when I need it."
He blinked, lips twitching into a small smile. "Yeah, yeah. Now can you eat?"
You nodded, finally opening the container and taking a bite of food. "I almost accidentally got you caught, but I saved it." You said between bites, your voice cheeky.
"How, come?" He asked, only half listening as he scrolled.
"We came upstairs and we heard moaning." You said with a grin. "I'm guessing your party."
"You came upstairs to do what?" He looked up sharply now, eyes narrowing with suspicion.
You didn't respond, just smiled to yourself as you continued chewing.
"Did you fuck him?" He asked suddenly, sitting up straighter, eyes locked on yours.
"No, no." You answered quickly. "He just gave me head." Your voice was quieter now, but the confession hung in the air.
"He gave you head?" Jaemin blinked, dumbfounded. "YOU?" He repeated. "And he didn't get anything else from you? No sex, no head, not even a handjob?"
You shook your head. "Nope."
"Dude, he never does that... ever." He looked like he was short circuiting. "What's up with these guys just giving you head man? I'm impressed."
"First off, it only happened once before, so don't do that, and you know we don't talk about him, ok?" You said in a on edge voice.
"Ok, ok." He held up his hands in surrender.
"I guess I just gave the magic touch." You said with a smug smile.
"Damn, me next!" He cheered jokingly, grinning.
"Shit, maybe." You said with a smirk. "Haechan didn't even make me finish— well, because we were interrupted by someone." You shot him a playful look.
"Aw shucks." He said, chuckling. "Jaemin here to crash the party always."
"Partially." You replied. "I think he's not done with me though. Before I left, he asked for my number."
"He asked for your number— like, first? While you were leaving him?" Jaemin exclaimed, eyes wide with disbelief.
"Yep." You said.
"Did you give it to him?" He asked, leaning in like a gossipy teen.
"Nah. I don't think that's someone I should have access to at all times— for my own safety you know." You said, giggling.
"You're so smart, that's why I love you so, so much." He said with a bright smile... before it faltered slightly.
"I'm not smart for not giving him my number. I'm just not dumb." You said, brushing off the moment.
He recovered with a quick grin. "Maybe you aren't as bright as I thought, because that is the same thing."
"Shut up." You laughed, nudging his shoulder.
"Damn, I actually can't believe he did all this for you." Jaemin said, eyes wide again. "Nothing wrong with you of course, but he just— never acts that way with anyone. You might be his soulmate."
"Ew, shut up. Yes he's hot, but I could never imagine dating someone like him." You said, scrunching your nose.
"Good, because I doubt you're welcomed at any more parties after the double rejection you gave him." He said with a laugh.
"Didn't you say that the last time?"
"Yeah, but I mean it this time. You rejected him like four times."
"Okay, enough Haechan talk." You set the now empty container aside and leaned back. "I appreciate everything, but you should get going to freshen up. Plus, I have class in like an hour."
"You're still going?" He asked, brows raising.
"Absolutely, I'd never miss class."
"Okay, well..." He rubbed the back of his neck, hesitant. "Do you think we can meet up for dinner later?"
You paused, your tone shifting gently. "I think I need to be alone right now. I also have a project due on Tuesday that I'm cramming for because I got a little lazy. Let's meet... maybe Wednesday?"
He nodded. "Sounds good." With one last smile he stood up, grabbing his hoodie off the chair and slipping it on.
══════════════════════════
It was finally Wednesday, after days of cramming, sleepless nights, you had just submitted your project and shut your laptop with a dramatic sigh of relief. You sprawled out on your bed for a moment, eyes fluttering closed, the weight of the past few days slowly lifting off your shoulders.
The front door creaked open and slammed shut again, followed by the familiar shuffle of sneakers on hardwood.
"Yo." He called out, stepping into your room with a plastic takeout bag in hand.
You propped yourself up on your elbows, noticing something was off immediately. His voice lacked its usual playful energy. No cheeky grin, no snarky comment about your workaholic tendencies, just... a weird kind of stillness in his tone.
"What's up?" You asked, brows furrowing slightly at his hesitance.
He rubbed the back of his neck, glancing down for a second before meeting your gaze again. "I need you to come to the party with me again."
You blinked, half in disbelief. "Again?" You let out a soft giggle, sitting up fully. "Weren't you the one who banned me from that place like... twice?"
"Yeah, I know." He said with a sigh, plopping down beside you on the bed and setting the takeout between you. "But you're the only one who can distract Haechan well it appears, and fuck, that girl is so—"
He stopped himself mid sentence, biting his tongue. You stared at him, your smile fading slightly. He was always joking— even when things were serious, but right now he looked more anxious than amused.
"Right." You said slowly, nodding as you studied his face. You didn't press it— whatever that girl meant, you could guess, and it wasn't your place to dig.
"So... will you?" He asked again, voice low.
You hesitated for a second before shrugging. "Yeah, sure. Whatever."
His shoulders relaxed, just a little, and the smallest hint of a smile broke through. "You're a lifesaver."
You reached into the takeout bag, pulling out your container with a soft smirk. "You owe me something good for this."
"Oh, I got you extra fries." He said quickly, handing the container toward you like it was a peace offering.
You rolled your eyes. "Bribery works I guess."
══════════════════════════
The party was already fill by the time you and Jaemin arrived per usual. As soon as you stepped inside, Jaemin melted into the crowd like a ghost.
You didn't even bother calling after him. You just sighed, brushing past a couple making out near the stairs as you made your way to the kitchen. You needed a drink.
The fridge was wide open, someone rummaging through it carelessly. You reached past them for a can of something and cracked it open, sipping without thinking.
"Is this gonna be a pattern?" A familiar voice teased from behind you.
You turned, already knowing who it was, of course.
There he stood, eyes on you like you were the only person in the room. His head tilted just slightly, like he was already amused.
You crossed your arms and let out a short sigh. "Is what a pattern?"
"You drinking without me." He said smoothly.
You shook your head, watching as he took a sip from his own cup. "You're drinking without me too, so I'm not sure that makes sense."
"Just casually." He grinned, his voice light. "Take a shot with me."
You eyed him for a second, then gave a small nod. He reached over to the counter, pouring two uneven shots, one for each of you.
You raised yours with a quiet "cheers" before knocking it back. The alcohol settled in your stomach, hot and quick.
"You know I'm not doing anything with you, right?" You said once the warmth hit your chest.
He raised a brow, grin widening. "Did I ask?"
You huffed a soft laugh, unable to hide the way your lips curved despite your better judgment and his smirk deepened like he won something.
"It's loud in here, come outside with me." He said, already reaching for the bottle again, refilling both your cups without waiting for an answer.
You hesitated, something in you buzzing—nerves or excitement, you weren't sure, but you nodded anyway.
Outside, the backyard was a complete contrast to the chaos inside. Quieter, almost peaceful. Blue and purple led lights in the pool, casting a neon glow in the water. The heat of the night clung to your skin, but the moment you dipped your feet into the cool pool, relief washed over you.
He sat beside you, pulling a pre rolled blunt from his pocket and lit it with a flick of a lighter. For a second, the flame highlighted his face, features softened by the glow.
"How are you?" He asked, voice quieter now. "How was your week?"
You turned to him, blinking. "You actually care? Wow, that's new."
"You're so negative." He said, exhaling smoke before offering it to you.
You stared at it for a moment, fingers twitching slightly. Then you took it, bringing it to your lips and inhaling slow. You held it for a second before letting it go with a sigh.
"I'm cautious." You murmured, passing it back.
"Mmm." He hummed, nodding, puffing again.
"Why do you never disagree? Defend yourself when people say shit about you?" You questioned, turning to him.
"Because it's true. I'm not afraid to admit it." He said, exhaling slowly. "But sometimes people talk and over exaggerate, make it seem like I'm just heartless. If they're scared and stay away, that's their problem. But if they know what they're getting into— or think they do, then why should I waste my energy proving them wrong? In my eyes, they're just as fucked up as me."
You were quiet for a moment, then nodded slightly in agreement. He passed the blunt again, and you took two more puffs in silence. It wasn't awkward, just still.
"So." You eventually said, eyes drifting to the lit up pool. "How do you have such a big house as a college student?"
"My parents." He replied, tone casual. "They pay for everything while they go prance around in different countries, leaving me and my siblings behind."
"Siblings?" You echoed, surprised. You knew he had a sister, but hadn't heard anything about more.
"Yep. A younger sister and brother." He said, taking another hit. "My sister's a junior, doesn't live with me, but I keep a guest room here for when she wants a break from her roommates."
"And your brother?"
"He's a sophomore, goes to college a few hours from here— said he wanted a fresh start. I still check in with him a few times a week. He's had his ups and downs, but he's a good kid."
"I get that." You said. "I went somewhere else freshman year too. Only stayed for a year before transferring back here this year."
"So you are a sophomore." He said, nodding. "I figured."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
He only shrugged, sipping his drink.
"What's your story?" He asked, glancing over. "Why'd you want a fresh start?"
"My mom died about two years ago." You said, the words escaping before you could filter them.
His face shifted. "Oh shit, I'm sorry."
"It's good." You said quickly, brushing it off. "It's actually kind of stupid, out of all the drugs, she died from weed. It was laced."
"Damn." He muttered. "Is that why you were so hesitant earlier?"
You nodded. "Yeah. People don't realize how terrifying it is, it's real."
"Fuck, now I feel like an asshole." He said, running a hand through his hair, a tired chuckle leaving his mouth as he put the blunt out.
"Don't." You told him. "You gotta grow up and not be scared sometimes. Plus, I can make my own decisions."
There was a pause before you added with a lazy smile, "I don't even know why I'm talking to you."
"What— because I'm 'evil'?" He teased, one brow rising.
You laughed. "No. Because you're a stranger."
He leaned back dramatically. "Wow, you kissed a stranger. What did you say? Whore."
"Oh, shut up." You rolled your eyes. "I guess you're not too much of a stranger."
"Exactly." He grinned. "But sometimes you just need someone to be there for you, stranger or not."
His eyes lingered on you now, more serious than before. "But... we don't have to stay strangers— I don't think we should."
You raised a brow.
"Just give me your number." He said, voice softer.
You squinted at him, half amused. "Is that what this was all about?"
"No." He said quickly, then paused. "I just... you're different and I'm curious about you."
"Curiosity." You said, rolling your eyes, a reluctant smile tugging at your lips.
"There's nothing wrong with that, is there?" He leaned a little closer. "We should just mess around, find out more about each other. You must be curious too?"
You stared at him for a second, lips pressing into a tight line. "I'm not."
"Ouch." He laughed, not entirely believing you, but to his credit, he didn't push.
You paused, then let out a sigh. "Fine, I'll give you my number."
His grin widened as he pulled his phone from his pocket and handed it to you.
"Thank you." He said genuinely.
"Maybe now we don't have to only talk to each other on Thursdays." You said, punching in your digits and handing it back.
"Mmm." He smiled, his gaze lingering on you.
As if on cue, your phone lit up with a text.
Jaemin [12:58 AM]:
"Let's go."
You looked up, Haechan already watching you.
"Well, I've got to go." You said, standing and brushing off your skirt.
"Is there a night where you're not gonna leave me?" He asked, smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he looked up at you.
"Mm... don't hold your breath." You smirked, waving before slipping back inside.
Jaemin was waiting by the door, hands in his pockets, a smile on his face.
"Well, well." He said as you approached. "What did you do tonight?"
"My job." You said with a giggle, eyes slightly hooded from the buzz in your system.
"Oh, you're high again?" His smile faded just a bit.
"Yeah, not a big deal." You said, casually hooking your arm around his like it was second nature.
"Right, and I can't even stay with you tonight."
"Why not?" You asked, looking up at him.
"Because you can't control yourself under the influence." He said bluntly.
"Wow, don't say that." You laughed. "I'm not even that fucked up, I could totally control myself."
"Right." He smirked. "But I probably can't."
"Yeah... maybe you shouldn't stay with me tonight then." You teased.
He let out a short laugh, shaking his head as the two of you disappeared into the night.

Saturday | 11:37 PM
You were curled up in bed, knees tucked beneath you, your laptop warming your thighs as the glow of the screen illuminated your face. The essay you've been chipping away at all day was only half done, and your focus was slipping fast. You already reread the same paragraph three times when your phone buzzed on the nightstand.
Unknown Number [11:37 PM]:
"Come over. Chill for a bit."
Your brow furrowed as you set your laptop aside and picked up the phone, thumb hovering over the screen.
You [11:37 PM]:
"Who is this?"
You already had a guess, but you weren't about to make it easy.
A few seconds passed.
Unknown Number [11:38 PM]:
"You know who it is."
You let out a quiet scoff, one corner of your mouth curling into a smirk, of course it was him.
You [11:39 PM]:
"Mmm, no I don't. So I guess that's a no."
Another pause, longer this time.
Unknown Number [11:40 PM]:
"Come over. Please."
Your thumb hovered again. You should've just gone back to your work, should've tossed your phone aside and shut the whole thing down.
You [11:41 PM]:
"I seriously can't, busy rn."
Unknown Number [11:41 PM]:
"Bummer."
You stared at the message, your bedroom suddenly too quiet. The flicker of curiosity and something else sat in your chest.
You [11:42 PM]:
"You can come over later though. We could watch a movie or something."
His response was fast.
Unknown Number [11:42 PM]:
"Later? It's already 11."
You [11:43 PM]:
"Ok, then don't."
Silence. Then...
Unknown Number [11:44 PM]:
Send the address.
You hesitated, biting your lip for a minute too long. Then you dropped a pin and hit send.
1:27 AM
You opened the door, blinking against the cooler air spilling into the hallway. Haechan stood there, hair tousled, a six pack of drinks in one hand and a smirk pulling at his lips.
"Didn't think you'd actually send it." He said, stepping inside without waiting.
"Didn't think you'd actually come." You replied, locking the door behind him.
"We're just sitting in the living room." You said, already making your way towards the couch.
"Perfect." He said, slipping off his jacket and tossing it over the armrest as he followed.
You pulled up something half decent on Netflix, something neither of you would end up watching, and settled in. He handed you a drink, and you clinked your cans together quietly.
He was the first to speak.
"How've you been? Since Thursday." He asked, voice soft, watching you from the side.
You took a slow sip, eyes on the screen. "Busy. Regretting life decisions."
He chuckled, amused. "Yeah, which ones?"
"Letting you text me."
A grin tugged at his mouth as he leaned back, one arm draping lazily along the back of the couch. "You're the one who invited me, sweetheart."
"You begged."
"I don't beg."
You gave him a look. "You literally said please."
"I'm just a convincer." He shot back smoothly.
"Manipulator." You corrected with a smile.
He laughed again, reaching into his pocket. "Mind if I hit this?"
You glanced at the sleek cart between his fingers, then at the hallway.
"Even though my roommates aren't here, they're still strict about smoking in shared spaces." You said. "No vape, no carts— none of it."
He blinked, pausing. "Damn. I can go if—"
"No." You interrupted, standing. "We can go to my room."
His eyebrows arched in interest as he rose to follow.
Your room was dim and cozy, washed in soft fairy lights. You pushed the door closed behind him and leaned against it for a moment before crossing to the bed.
"This is cute." He said, looking around. "You always have a vibe."
"Try not to ruin it." You said, climbing onto the bed and settling into the pillows. He leaned against your desk, then raised the cart again and took a slow pull, the scent hitting your nose.
"You want?" He asked.
You rose from the bed, stepping toward him and plucked it from his fingers without breaking eye contact.
His brows lifted. "Woah."
You rolled your eyes. "Don't be selfish now."
He smirked, but his voice dropped just slightly as he teased, "What if it's laced?"
"Not funny." You said.
He held his hands up, surrendering, though his grin said he enjoyed every second.
You took a slow puff and handed it back.
"That's all I'm doing." You murmured.
But that wasn't true.
Time slipped, the air thickened, you kept passing it back and forth, voices growing lower, laughter softening.
At some point, you looked up and noticed he was still standing.
"You've been standing there whole time." You said, eyes a little glassy, lashes fluttering as you sat up straighter.
"Yeah, I know. Why?" He asked, inching closer.
"Just curious why you don't want to be near me." You said with a teasing shrug.
He stepped in front of you now, close enough that you could see the shift in his expression. "I'm near." He murmured.
"Not close enough." Your voice was soft but firm as you reached out, trailing your hands up his arm and guiding it onto your shoulder.
His fingers stayed, curling gently over your skin. His gaze dropped to your lips, then flicked back up.
"Don't look at me like that." He said, eyes low.
"Like what?" You asked, guiding his arm again until his hand cupped your jaw.
"Like you want me to ruin the night."
His hand lingered against your cheek, the warmth of his palm spreading through your skin. Your breath hitched, fingers curling softly around his wrist.
You tugged him closer, his face now just inches from yours as he leaned over you, one hand settling on your thigh. "Maybe I do."
He closed the distance between you instantly, his lips crashing against yours with desperately. The hand that had been gently cupping your cheek slid to the back of your neck, fingers curling as he pulled you closer, deepening the kiss.
Your hands found the hem of his shirt, gripping it tightly as you tugged, urging him to shed the barrier between you. He broke the kiss just long enough to pull the shirt over his head, tossing it aside. His sweats hung low on his hips, revealing the sharp lines of his v-line.
He climbed fully onto the bed, hovering over you, claiming your lips in a heated, breathless kiss. His hands moved, tugging your shirt and pajama shorts off in one swift motion, never once breaking eye contact, the intensity in his gaze made your breath catch.
He leaned in again, capturing your lips in another kiss— wet and messy. As his mouth moved against yours, he nudged your legs apart with his own, his knee slipping between them, pressing softly against your heat.
His lips left yours only to travel down your neck, trailing gentle kisses that quickly turned rougher. He latched onto a sensitive spot just below your jaw, sucking hard enough to leave a mark. The sensation paired with the slow pressure of his knee drew soft moans from your lips. Your fingers found his hair, tangling in it as your hips shifted unconsciously in response.
"I don't have a condom." He murmured, his breath warm against your neck.
You were just about to leave it, but Jaemin's voice sounded in your head: "Don't let him fuck you raw."
Without thinking, you reached over to your nightstand, fingers finding the familiar shape of a silver foil square that you got a few weeks back. You pressed it to his chest, your eyes meeting his.
He paused, a slow amused smile spreading across his lips. A soft chuckle escaped him. "Smart." He said under his breath.
He rose to his feet, pushing his sweats and boxers down in one fluid motion. Tearing the foil open with his teeth, discarding the wrapper carelessly onto the floor, then rolled the condom on with ease, his eyes never straying far from you.
He grabbed your legs with firm hands, dragging you to the edge of the bed, his gaze locked onto yours intensely. Without a word, he hooked his fingers into your underwear and yanked them down, leaving you bare beneath him.
He leaned in again, capturing your lips in another deep kiss. His mouth moved over yours, but as you pulled back your eyes shimmered.
"I haven't— this is my first time." You admitted, voice barely above a whisper, breathless and shaking.
For a moment everything stilled. His expression shifted, something flickering behind his eyes— part surprise, part fascination.
"I'll try to be gentle." He said softly, his voice low and tight with restraint.
He stood, hands skimming down the length of your legs until they reached beneath your knees. He lifted them slowly, spreading you open softly.
He positioned himself between your legs, his body tense. He paused, eyes locked on yours for a moment, as if waiting for any sign of hesitation.
Then he pushed into you. The sting was sharp, and you gasped, your breath catching. He froze for a second, his forehead pressing lightly against yours.
"Breathe." He whispered, his voice rough. He gave you a moment, just enough to adjust before he asked, "Ok?"
You nodded, too breathless to say anything, but when you didn't pull away he pushed further, the pace picking up as he moved into you again, harder and deeper this time.
He gripped your legs tightly, forcing you open as he thrusted into you, his movements rougher now, more desperate. The initial sting quickly faded into a pulsing heat that had you gasping with every thrust, each push a little harder than the last.
"You feel so fucking good." He muttered, voice thick with desire. His hands tightened on your legs, and he slammed into you with more urgency, his pace picking up, rougher and less controlled. The air was thick with the sound of skin meeting skin, the room vibrating.
The tension in your body kept building, the pleasure mixing with the intensity of each thrust. His breath was uneven and shallow as he moved faster, harder, his grip tightening. There was no slowing down now.
"Fuck." He groaned, his movements becoming more erratic, less restrained. "So fucking perfect."
The care he showed earlier was gone. His pace didn't slow, only grew faster, more frantic. Each thrust hit deeper, more forceful, and you could feel every inch of him filling you completely. You clung to him, nails digging into his skin as he fucked into you without restraint.
The sounds of your bodies crashing together filled the air, a mix of moans, heavy breathing, and the wet, slick noise of each push. He didn't give you time to adjust, didn't pause to check in again. He just kept going, his grip tightening on your legs, forcing them open even wider as he moved harder.
The pleasure was building, overwhelming you, the pressure mounting with every thrust. Your body felt like it was on fire, heat pooling low in your stomach as his thrusts drove you closer to the edge.
"You like that, huh?" He groaned, his voice rough. His eyes flickered down to where you were joined, watching how he moved inside you. "You're so fucking tight."
You couldn't form words anymore, only moans escaping your lips as your hips instinctively moved against him, meeting each thrust, urging him deeper. Every motion felt like a jolt of electricity running through you, tightening your core, making everything spin.
His hand slid down from your legs, gripping your waist as he pulled you closer, driving into you with more force. The friction built, sending waves of pleasure crashing over you.
"God, I'm gonna make you cum." He grunted, his own pace stammering just slightly as his own release neared. "Hold on."
His hips snapped into yours recklessly, his movements growing more urgent. His grip on your waist tightened as he pounded into you, each thrust harder than the last, the sound of your skin meeting his filling the room.
"You feel fucking amazing." He whimpered, his voice strained, the force of his movements making your whole body shake beneath him.
He cursed under his breath as your nails scraped down his back, and with one last, brutal thrust, you felt everything snap—your body tensing, your legs trembling as the pressure exploded inside you. A loud, breathless moan escaped your lips as your orgasm ripped through you, your whole body convulsing around him.
He didn't stop though, didn't give you a second to breathe. His thrusts only grew more erratic, chasing his own release as you clenched around him, each movement pushing him closer to the edge.
"Fuck, yes." He groaned, his eyes locked onto yours as he slammed into you again.
"I'm there..." He buried his face into your neck, movements sloppy as he finally came, his body shaking as he released with a low groan.
He collapsed against you, his body still trembling, his breath coming in ragged gasps. For a moment neither of you moved, lying there tangled together, trying to catch your breath. His head rested on your shoulder, his chest rising and falling against yours. The tension in his muscles slowly started to melt away, and you felt the steady rhythm of his heart begin to slow.
He shifted slightly, pulling back just enough to look at you, his gaze softer now. His fingers traced the curve of your cheek, brushing away a strand of hair.
"Are you okay?" He asked, his voice quieter now.
You nodded, unable to find the words just yet. He gave a small smile. "I didn't mean to... push too hard."
You shook your head, pressing your palm to his chest. "It was... good." You whispered, your voice still shaky, but calm now.
"Good." He murmured again.

The day after – 1:18 PM
You woke up to loud, insistent banging on your door.
You blinked your eyes open, lashes heavy with sleep, your body sore and aching in ways that immediately brought back hazy memories of the night before. You reached for your phone on the nightstand, and the screen lit up— four unread messages, all from Jaemin.
Jaemin [12:38 PM]:
"u want chicken tenders or a burger?"
Jaemin [12:44 PM]:
"Hello? I need u to hurry I'm in line."
Jaemin [12:57 PM]:
"Just got chicken tenders u took too long, otw."
Jaemin [1:17 PM]:
"Dude, open the door wtf?"
Your stomach dropped... shit.
It was Sunday, your Sunday. Movies and lunch with Jaemin, your thing since middle school, the one routine neither of you ever skipped and was always on time for.
You sat up too quickly and instantly regretted it. A sharp pulse radiated through your thighs, your knees folded slightly beneath you as you stood. You hissed through your teeth, muttering a quiet curse. The soreness, the silence in the room, the disheveled sheets tangled behind you and...
No Haechan, not a trace.
You probably weren't going to hear from him again. If anything, he'd gotten exactly what he wanted and maybe... so had you.
You slipped into the first pair of underwear you could find, pulling on an oversized t-shirt and not even checking the mirror. You couldn't be bothered. Your body felt heavier than usual, limbs slow, mind foggy.
You stumbled to the door, fingers fumbling over the lock before it clicked open. Jaemin stood there with a takeout bag in one hand and annoyance on his face. "Where the fuck—" He froze.
His expression shifted fast, first frustration then concern as his eyes scanned your face, your hair, the obvious haze of sleep in your eyes. "Are you okay?"
You nodded once, voice scratchy. "Yeah. Just... come in."
You turned around, not realizing how stiffly you were walking until you heard his voice again behind you.
"You're walking weird."
You glanced over your shoulder, trying to play it off. "I just woke up, Jaem."
But his brows drew together, and he followed you with quiet suspicion. He spun once in your desk chair before planting his feet and letting his eyes roam, and stopped.
You didn't notice at first, but his gaze lingered just a little too long on your neck.
"Those weren't there last time I saw you." He said.
You forced a small laugh, brushing your hair back casually. "What, you keeping track now?"
"It's hard not to when it looks like someone marked you up like a vampire." He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes.
You turned away, cheeks flushing, but you stayed silent.
He held up the takeout bag. "I got you food, don't know if you saw my text."
"I didn't." You said, hovering at the edge of your bed. "But thanks, I'm starving."
He smiled for real this time, but just as he reached to hand you the bag something on the floor caught his attention.
His hand froze mid air. He bent slightly, reaching down beside your nightstand. A second later, you watched his fingers close around a small, crinkled square of foil.
An empty condom wrapper.
He stared at it, his jaw twitching once before he tossed it into the trash without another word.
The air in the room changed instantly. You stood still, frozen as he looked at you.
You tried to lighten the mood, your voice forced. "The one you gave me, remember?"
But he didn't smile, didn't even blink. His voice dropped, almost too calm. "Did you...?"
You hesitated, then sighed. "Yeah. Last night."
He blinked once, and then again. He opened his mouth, but for a second, no sound came out. "Thought you were saving yourself."
You gave a slight shrug, arms folding across your chest. "Guess I changed my mind."
Another moment of silence. He tilted his head slightly, a ghost of a smile on his lips now, confused. "Who was the lucky guy?"
You hesitated, biting your bottom lip.
His eyes narrowed before he scoffed. "I know that face... no way."
Still, you said nothing.
He let out a short, stunned laugh, humorless. "No fucking way." Jaemin stood up, the desk chair creaking loudly behind him.
You met his gaze, heart thudding. "Jaem—"
"You let him?" His voice rose, disbelief mixed with something else— hurt, maybe. "Out of all people, him? Seriously? What, he texted you 'come over' and you just—fucking hell Y/n."
"It wasn't like that." You murmured.
"You ghost me for hours, you never miss our Sundays. I show up and you're sore and covered in hickeys—"
"I was asleep, Jaemin."
He scoffed. "Name one time you've ever slept past noon this year?"
You stayed silent.
"Exactly."
"I didn't plan for it to happen." You said quietly.
"That's the problem... he did!" He snapped. "I didn't think you were so easy. What, he called you pretty and that's enough for you to spread your legs?"
"No, I—"
"What, you've known this guy for like a month? You knew he just wanted to use you and you went along with it?"
"I was okay with that! That's what I wanted."
"You were okay being used for sex by some guy you barely even know?"
"No, not like that—"
"So then what? Because to me, it sounds like you're just a desperate slut."
You blinked. That word hit harder than you expected.
"Oh, I'm a slut?" Your voice was sharp now. "One body and I'm a slut, yet you dance around fucking anything with a pulse. You're disgusting... and easy."
"I'm disgusting and easy?" He snapped. "You let a senior fuckboy you don't even know take your virginity. It's actually sickening."
You stepped toward him, jaw clenched. "Would it have been sickening if it was you?"
Silence. His face froze, jaw locked as his eyes flickered, and he didn't say a word.
You let out a breath. "If you're so disgusted, then leave. First of all, it's none of your business who I sleep with— I don't stick my nose into yours. You've fucked girls I can't stand, and I never made it everyone's problem."
Your voice rose now. "You're my best friend— not my parent, not my boyfriend, and definitely not my mentor. So if you came here to judge me on every move I make, then you can go fuck yourself."
"Excuse me for being the only one that fucking cares about you."
You opened your mouth, but he was already tossing the takeout bag onto your bed with more force than necessary.
"Here." He muttered. "Since he couldn't even feed you."
Then he turned and the door slammed behind him.
The silence that followed felt like a vacuum, like the air had been sucked out of the room the moment the door slammed shut.
You stood there, unmoving, arms still crossed tightly around yourself. Your chest rose and fell a little too fast, like your body hadn't caught up to your brain yet.
"Desperate slut."
You could still hear it. Loud in the quiet and it hurt. God, it fucking hurt.
You sank down slowly to the edge of the bed, staring blankly at the takeout bag he'd thrown toward you. You let out a shaky breath and dropped your head into your hands.
He'd looked so angry, so betrayed, like you done something personally to him. But he wasn't your boyfriend, he never was, he never wanted to be.
So why did he get to act like this? Why did it feel like you were the one who done something wrong? You hadn't expected Haechan to stay. You hadn't expected Jaemin to explode and yet here you were, alone.
He was supposed to be your best friend.
But best friends didn't call you disgusting. Best friends didn't throw insults in your face and storm out. Best friends didn't look at you like you were less for doing something you had every right to do.
You didn't even realize you were crying until the tears hit your thighs. Silent, hot, and angry.
You swiped at them roughly, jaw tightening.
He didn't get to reduce you like that. He didn't get to decide what your choices meant, and he definitely didn't get to pretend like he was some kind of savior when all he'd ever done was hover just close enough to make you want more and then pull away every time you reached.
Some part of you still wanted him to come back. Still wanted him to knock again, to take it all back and say he was sorry.
But another part of you was done waiting on Jaemin to treat you like you mattered only when it was convenient for him. Because you didn't regret what happened.
Not the choice, not the experience, not even the consequences.
You only regretted giving someone like Jaemin the power to make you feel small.

Chapter X: bloodlines entwined
SERIES MASTERLIST | previous | next

“I have some news to give you,” you announce as your eyes scan the classroom.
The little heads of your students are turned to you, and their little eyes are shining, excited to hear your announcement.
“I’m expecting a baby!” A smile grows on your face as you say those words out loud.
You haven’t said anything before because you were scared that something might happen to you or your little baby. But now that everything seems to be going just well, you feel like it’s about time your students knew. They are still very little, and very soon, you’re going to impose a drastic change on them. They need to get mentally prepared for that change.
“Where?” one of the students asks.
“The baby is currently growing in my belly,” you push up your shirt to show your baby bump.
Their eyes widen as they see your bump. Lately, you’ve been wearing larger clothes, sometimes even Jungkook’s clothes, as you wanted to be comfortable and hide your growing belly. For sure, your boyfriend doesn’t complain because he adores watching you wearing his clothes. Obviously, before you leave the house, he checks that you wear a bra as well. That would make you roll your eyes with annoyance.
“And very soon, he will be out, ready to meet you,” you add while caressing your stomach.
“When can we meet the baby?” a little one says.
“Is it a boy or a girl?” a girl asks.
“Well, it’s a boy, and you still will have to wait a while before meeting him,” you gently explain. “He’s staying inside until June.”
“Oooh, it’s in a long time,” a little boy pouts. “It’s even after my birthday.”
“I know, but around mid-May, another teacher will replace me because I won’t be able to continue to come anymore. The baby will be too heavy inside my stomach, and I will need to prepare to welcome him.”
They all nod, but you’re sure most of them don’t even realize the weight of your words. They will probably start crying when they understand you’ll leave for a while. That only thought breaks your heart. You love these little munchkins so freaking much.
“If you want,” you continue. “You can touch my belly and feel the baby kicking,” you suggest.
It might help them to understand the situation a bit more. As they stand up to walk towards you, you sit down on the chair to be at their level. Their small hands rest on your bump, and instantly, your little wolfy starts kicking. And then, an intense warmth spreads through your body. It’s your baby boy. He feels secure and safe, and he’s definitely enjoying feeling all this love.
“I can feel him,” one of the children screams with joy.
Their excitement and joy as they feel your son warms your heart. You only wish they could sense his energy the way you do because then they’d know just how happy he is. He may not be here physically yet, but his presence already feels so real. Looking at your little munchkins, your heart is overwhelmed with joy. This will forever be a moment engraved in your heart.
After that, you continued teaching them something new, and the day flew by quickly. At the end of the day, Jungkook waited for you at the school door. He has been doing this from the very beginning, and it’s honestly the highlight of your day. No matter what’s going on in the werewolf world, he finds the time to come pick you up at work. And that, you know it’s one of the many proofs of his love for you.
“I’ve something for you,” you say once you’re both in his car.
He narrows his eyes, seeming suspicious of what might be your gift.
“What is it this time?” he asks, which makes you roll your eyes.
“By the way you’re looking at me, you’d think I always give you shitty gifts.”
“We never know with you,” he replies, lips twitching in amusement. “Could be a rock with googly eyes, could be an ancient family heirloom. There’s really no in-between.”
“You’re such a drama queen,” you scoff. “I think it’s time we officially retire ‘King Jungkook’ and go with ‘Drama Queen Jungkook.’ It suits you better.”
“I’ll inform the council during the next meeting and let you know afterward which title they chose,” he ironically answers.
This man is unbelievable. He’s always in for teasing you, but you know that it’s his way of flirting with you. And, well, you only love to tease him back. It’s also your way of showing him that you love him too.
“You know what?” you retort. “Next time, you’re getting a leaf with ‘fuck you’ written on it in glitter.”
“That’s original,” he laughs. “I guess I’ll hang it in my study so everybody will know what kind of gifts my girlfriend gives me.”
You roll your eyes, but you perfectly picture him doing it. It’d be funny to see a damn leaf with ‘fuck you’ on it in his special room.
“Now, I definitely want to get you that instead of what I’ve with me,” you smile at him.
He laughs softly but leans closer, eyes curious now.
“Alright, alright. Let’s see what you’ve got, troublemaker.”
You shake your head at the nickname with the brightest smile on your face. You reach into your bag and hand him a small, wrapped object. His big hands grab your gift before unwrapping it slowly. It’s a leather journal, similar to the one he currently has.
Jungkook has always had a journal where he writes down his own thoughts. At ten, his father bought him his first journal and advised him to lay down whatever would cross his mind. At first, he thought that he didn’t need it, but when the first shifts started to be a nightmare, he started writing what he was feeling. Over time, it helped him face his emotions and the world.
Every time he reaches the final pages, he buys a new one. Once fully complete, he places it in the library of his study to keep it handy in case he needs it. Sometimes, he opens one to read what he felt on a certain day of his life. For example, he’s been loving to reread the moment he realized you were his soulmate.
It warms his heart that you notice he’s reaching the last pages of his journal. It means more than he can even express. Even though you’ve caught him writing in his journal, he never realized you’d pick up on the little details.
The leather journal fits perfectly in his hands, his initials embossed on the cover. For a moment, he’s quiet, just running his fingers across the material. It is the first one that has his initials on it, and it will forever be his favorite one. Then he opens it and sees your handwriting on the first page.
“It’s so cool when I’m on my own,” he reads out loud, voice dropping slightly, “but it’s warmer in your arms.”
He doesn’t say anything at first, but his gaze lifts to meet yours, eyes softer now. Being in his arms is now your favorite place, and it reassures you beyond comprehension when he’s near you. And when he isn’t around, the world feels so cold.
“That’s really beautiful,” he murmurs. “You wrote this?”
You nod, feeling just a bit shy, but the way he looks at you—the weight of affection and awe behind his stare—makes your chest tighten in the best way. You wanted to leave a little note in his journal to remind him that you love him. Writing ‘I love you’ seemed so cheesy and so not you. So you tried to find something, and that sentence only made sense.
“It’s stupid,” you mumble.
“No,” he says, shutting the journal gently. “It’s not. It’s you. And that makes it perfect.”
Jungkook places the journal on his lap before passionately kissing you. There isn’t a day that goes by when he doesn’t feel grateful to have your love. It hasn’t been emotionally easy since meeting you, but he has never felt as much peace as he has lately.

Jungkook has been working in his study room for the past two hours. You ignore what he’s working on in there. The silence spilling from beneath the door is almost suspicious, especially considering that he usually spends these hours on the phone with other werewolves or alphas. But tonight? Nothing.
You don’t think too much about it. You’ve got your own work to finish, after all, tomorrow’s class isn’t going to prepare itself. To stay focused, you put your headphones on, drowning yourself in calm music to avoid eavesdropping or imagining whatever Jungkook is up to. It works, but only for a moment.
Once your lesson preparation is finally done, you stretch your sore muscles and head toward the living room, which, unfortunately, is right next to his study. Now that your brain isn’t occupied anymore, the silence from behind his door becomes harder to ignore. It's like calling you, teasing your curiosity.
You scroll through all the streaming apps possible, trying to find something to watch. You land on Ghostbusters: Afterlife, but you can't focus. The movie plays in the background, but your mind is in the study with him.
It’s the full moon’s fault. It was just last night, and your senses are still heightened. You feel raw, aware of every little thing about him. It's like your body has its own will and is tremendously drawn toward him. You shift on the couch, trying to resist the pull.
But the longer the silence lasts, the more tempted you are to give in.
Inside the study, Jungkook sits at his desk, completely still except for the quiet turning of ancient pages. The books spread out before him are filled with old lore and scattered, almost-forgotten histories. Most of them are in a script so faded that it takes him a second to make out the words. But he's patient. He’s determined.
He’s been taking notes in the new leather journal you offered him earlier today, and he’s been carefully underlining passages that mention rare werewolves, those born between two packs. Even though it’s quite normal to have mixed werewolves, it’s not really common. It’s actually even rare. Usually, pack members marry within their own pack. It’s quite rare for members of two different packs to marry and have children.
Based on what he got to read and what he knows, mixed werewolves are stronger than ‘normal’ werewolves, even though they naturally choose one pack at birth. But he doesn’t find anything about their strength in the womb, which is what he’s looking for.
So, it feels like it confirms what he and his family believe: your son is different. Powerful. Maybe even something the world has never seen. And he is actually convinced that it’s because there hasn’t been somebody like him. He’s a mixed werewolf and son of a king, and a hybrid. This is all uncharted territory for him.
And he wants to understand this. Not to control it; never that. But to protect him and to be ready. Becoming a father is already significant, but becoming a father of such a special being sometimes frightens him. So, he searches for whatever he can find to help him be ready.
As he writes down another line, he pauses, his head tilting slightly. He can feel you just outside the room, trying your hardest not to barge in.
A small smirk appears on his lips.
He knows you’ve been pacing back and forth in your mind, throwing on some random movie to distract yourself, but he can still feel that post-moon pull lingering in your chest, just like it is in his. That magnetic thread between you two, tugging and stretching thin.
You want to come in.
He hasn’t moved. Part of him wants to see how long you’ll last.
Another page flips. His pen glides against the paper.
Ten minutes pass.
Then fifteen.
And then…
A soft shuffle.
He hears the sound of your bare feet on the floor, followed by the faintest creak in the hallway. You open the door, finding him in the middle of books and writing in his journal. At first, you decide to wait until he looks up, but he doesn’t. He just waits.
And then, finally.
“Are you gonna ignore me or is this your new hobby?” your voice rings out from the doorway.
“Took you longer than I expected,” he smiles without looking up.
“Were you testing me?” your eyes narrow, but you can’t quite hide the small smile appearing on your face.
“I was working,” he says innocently, then finally lifts his gaze to yours. “You were testing yourself.”
“So, what top-secret king business are you doing in here that’s more important than being with your gorgeous, pregnant girlfriend?” you walk in, arms crossed but amused.
He chuckles, patting the chair beside him. “Come here. I’ll show you.”
And when you sit down and see the open books, the mess of notes, and the carefully highlighted lines, something shifts. The smile on your face grows bigger when you realize he’s been using the journal you gifted him.
“You’re doing this for him,” you softly say, your eyes scanning the delicate handwriting.
Jungkook nods. “If he’s going to be something the world’s never seen, I want to be ready. I want to understand what he might carry. What he might become.” He pauses. “And,” he adds, voice low, “I wanted to give you a reason to come find me.”
You bump your shoulder into his, trying not to melt.
“You’re such a tease.”
“You love it,” he says before kissing your temple. “Now help me understand this strange old sentence that seems like it was written by a drunk werewolf.”
You chuckle at his words, but you gladly help him out. And for the next hour, the two of you read some more books, trying to decipher what the eldest wrote. It’s not easy at all, but thankfully, there are also more modern ones that are way clearer.
“What is this?” you ask when a sentence in an old book catches your attention.
“Oh, it’s written in the old language,” he explains.
“Old language?” you frown.
“Yep, originally, werewolves had their own language called Lunari,” he begins. “Over time, we learned the ‘human’ languages to blend in. For a long time, we still kept talking Lunari, but we slowly stopped. The royal family still learns to preserve it and to be able to read ancient books. We are the memory of the werewolves. Some of them still learn it by curiosity, but nobody really practices it anymore.”
“Wow,” this blows your mind. “So, you can speak Lunari?”
“Yep,” he nods. “But I’m pretty bad at it,” he giggles. “Mingi, on the other hand, speaks it very well.”
“Why didn’t you ever mention it?” you ask.
“I don’t know,” he shrugs with a crooked smile. “I guess I didn’t think it mattered much anymore. Nobody ever asks about it, and most days, I don’t feel very ancient,” he pauses for a moment, eyes softening as they meet yours. “But maybe I should’ve told you. It’s part of who I am. Part of what our son will inherit, too.”
“It’s okay,” you say, placing your hand on his shoulder. “But now I want to learn it too,” you smile.
His smile grows bigger, and his heart warms at your words. Even though you are part of this world, of his world, it still moves him that you want to be more involved in it. Learning Lunari will surely bring you even closer to this world.
“Did your mother learn it?”
“No,” he shakes his head. “She’s never been interested in it, and for my father, it was the best excuse to get mad at her or to incite us to do silly things without her understanding anything.”
Jungkook is brought back to a couple of years ago. He was ten back then, his mother was pregnant with Mingi, and his father told him something he still remembers to this day.
“Your mom’s tired, so let’s not bother her,” his father whispered in Lunari as he got down to Jungkook’s level with a conspiratorial grin. “But if you sneak into the kitchen and bring me two pieces of cake, I promise to teach you the curse words in Lunari.”
Jungkook chuckles at the memory, his eyes bright with nostalgia. He still remembers how he discreetly waited five minutes in front of the kitchen to ensure his mom wasn’t there. And then, very very slowly, he grabbed two pieces of cake from the fridge. He then ran as fast as he could to bring them to his father, who was sitting in the same chair he’s sitting in now.
He’d do anything to relive those sweet and funny moments with his father. They were so close.
“He’d use Lunari to start little ‘missions’ with me. Mom didn’t stand a chance,” he shakes his head fondly. “It was his way of bonding. Of teaching the language without making it feel like a chore. He made it fun.”
Thinking about little ten-year-old Jungkook stealing pieces of cake for his father makes you smile.
“Well, I hope you’ll find creative ways to teach our son the language, just like your father did,” you smile at him.
“Don’t even doubt it, sunshine,” he winks at you. “Our son will master Lunari.”
“I really hope so,” you say.
Jungkook’s hands slide around your waist as you settle on his lap, his eyes gleaming with that familiar spark.
“And I’ll find creative ways with you too, sunshine,” he whispers, his voice low and velvety.
“Oh yeah? Like what?” you arch a brow, already amused.
He leans in, his lips brushing the shell of your ear, his voice dripping with teasing warmth.
“Well, Lunari’s a very physical language. There is a lot of body expression. Might need late-night lessons. Hands-on, of course.”
You let out a laugh, smacking his chest lightly. This is all bullshit. This is just Jungkook being flirtatious with you. You’re absolutely sure that this language isn’t physical at all.
“You’re incorrigible.”
“I wouldn’t say that,” he begins. “I’m just very committed to cultural preservation,” he grins, pulling you closer.
“Maybe you could already show me a thing or two,” you whisper as your fingers trace circles on his covered chest.
His hands on your waist instantly push your hoodie higher to reveal your baby bump to your boyfriend’s hungry eyes. He then tells you how ‘pregnant woman’ is said in Lunari, and it sounds beautiful. It definitely sounds like an ethereal language. How can it not be used anymore?
His fingers caress your stomach as his mouth finds yours for a heated kiss. Lunari words fall from his lips, and man, hearing him speaking in another language is hot as fuck. It’s just a massive turn-on. Why didn’t he ever talk to you about this language before?
“You’re so fucking hot when you speak Lunari,” you tell him, your eyes meeting his lusty ones.
“I’m always hot,” his tongue licks your lips.
“You’re so full of yourself, Jeon,” you clap back.
“Tell me I’m wrong,” his eyes are so damn dark that it almost makes you look away.
“Maybe you are,” you tease him.
His fingers move up to touch your heated face, the most devious smirk growing on his face.
“The heat on your face says otherwise.”
You roll your eyes, ready to leave his lap for being annoying, but his strong arms wrap around your waist, making it impossible for you to move. But it also allows you to feel his growing crotch against your leg.
“Where are you going, Jeon?” he teases you.
“I’m not a Jeon,” you hit his chest.
“Of course you are,” his voice takes a sweet turn. “You became one the second you got pregnant.”
This hot moment has suddenly taken a very heartfelt turn, making you pout. You can’t believe what he just said.
“And you’re a Y/l/n,” you tell him, your fingers ghosting over his sharp jaw.
“A proud Y/l/n,” he grins. “It’s even better than Jeon.”
“You’re incredible!” you say.
His teasing and hot face suddenly becomes very serious.
“Would you like to take my last name when we get married?” he asks.
The question catches you a bit off guard because you never really talked about marriage. It’s like you already know you’ll get married one day, so there’s no real added value to bringing up the topic. But it’s still surprising to hear him talk about it.
The answer to his question seems quite obvious. His mother took his father’s last name when they got married, so you’ll have to do the same. These past few months, you got to see firsthand how traditional the royal family is. You’re not sure you’ll have much to say here. He’s the king, you’ll be his queen. Hence, you’ll take his name.
“Well, I guess I don’t have much of a choice,” you reply with a small shrug. “You’re the king, and I’ll have to take your name, right?”
Traditionally, the queen always takes the king’s last name. Every queen before you has carried the name Jeon after marriage. It’s common in many cultures, but your mom never took your dad’s last name. People referred to her as Miss Y/l/n, but that wasn’t technically correct—not that she ever seemed to mind.
“Not sure if you know this,” Jungkook says, “but in our culture, the wife doesn’t take her husband’s last name. It’s our way of keeping a connection to our original families, even after marriage.”
You pause, surprised. It actually makes sense. Maybe that’s why your mother never changed her name either.
“My sister is still Jeon Dohee, even after marrying Namjoon, and he never expected her to change it,” Jungkook says gently. “But things are different for the king and queen. Taking the king’s last name is symbolic. It’s how you're officially recognized as the queen. It's like being crowned in name. But I’d never want to force you into it. In my heart, you're already a Jeon. The name doesn’t make that any more or less true.”
In all honesty, you never once thought about what would happen to your last name the day you get married. But now that Jungkook brings it up, it seems weird. Your mother never took your dad’s last name, even though they married before your birth. So you’re not sure of how things will go once you’re married to this man. However, if he really and deeply cares about you taking his last name, you’ll just do it.
“I’ve honestly never thought about this before,” you admit, your voice soft. “But if it matters to you, if it’s something tied to tradition, I’ll gladly take it. Carrying your last name doesn’t make me any less of a Y/l/n.”
“I might sound like a very old guy, but I’d honestly love for you to carry my last name,” his fingers tug a strand of hair behind your ear.
You offer him a sincere smile before pressing your lips to his. You rest your head on his shoulder, lips still tingling from the kiss. For a second, you silently just breathe him in. His hands soothe your back, and being here with him simply calms you.
When you started this whole insemination journey, you never pictured yourself living any of this. You thought you’d be a single mother, discussing the baby’s bedroom wall color with Lexi and Felix. Finding love was never part of the equation. Finding love was actually the last thing on your mind. But then, Jungkook appeared and flipped your world upside down.
“If someone had told me a year ago that I’d be having this kind of conversation, I would have laughed in their face.” Your voice is barely above a whisper. “I started this whole journey thinking I’d be a single mother. I was ready to do it alone.”
“With Felix and Lexi, you would have never been alone,” Jungkook whispers.
“I know, but I mean that I never expected the baby’s father to ever come into the picture. I never once thought that I’d be falling for someone. Let alone a king,” you chuckle.
Jungkook hesitates between giving a sarcastic answer and being serious. But he goes for the second option.
“Well, for what it’s worth,” he begins, his voice low and warm. “I never thought I’d be falling for my son’s mom. But how couldn’t I?” Your head lifts up to meet his gaze. “Your soul is the prettiest one I've ever met. And the second our lives collided, I didn’t want to be just the father of your child; I wanted to be yours. I wanted to come into the picture. I wanted you to let me in, even if I had to fight for it.”
A smile grows on your face at his words, while your heart totally melts.
“Well, hate to break it for you, but you fought for it,” you both chuckle. “You even accepted that we took it slow when we were seconds away from making love.”
“Aaah don’t remind me of that,” he shakes his head. “I had to finish by myself in your bathroom, and I thought that I’d die before you’d even let me in life.”
You roll your eyes because he’s always exaggerating.
“What?” he exclaims. “We were fucking with damn clothes and then, you threw at my face ‘Aren’t we going too fast?’.” He tries to mimic your voice. “I definitely thought our son would be born before you decided we weren’t going too fast.”
You still feel extremely sorry for what happened that day.
“But, well, good news, you convinced me that we weren’t going too fast before our son was born.”
“Thank God,” his hands move to your stomach to stroke it. “Not sure Jungkook Junior would have survived all this time.”
You roll your eyes once more.
“You’re such a drama queen.”
“Drama queen is my middle name.”
You laugh and shake your head.
“Let’s see if it will also be our son’s middle name,” you reply.
“With me as his dad, there’s no doubt about it,” he teases you.
You wrap your arms around him. Honestly, you simply can’t wait for your baby boy. You can’t wait to hold him in your arms and love him unconditionally, just like the way you love his father.
“You’re really proud of yourself, aren’t you?” you murmur, your voice dropping as your fingers tease the edge of his collar, nails grazing just enough to make his breath hitch.
Jungkook’s eyes drag slowly over your face, then down your body. He smirks, the corner of his mouth curling like he already knows what you’re about to do.
“When you’re sitting in my lap like that, looking at me like that,” his voice is already filled with lust. “yeah, I’m damn proud.”
You shift your hips just enough to feel the way his body responds beneath you. You already feel proud of yourself for turning him on in seconds, but well, you’ve been teasing each other for a little while already.
“I thought royalty was supposed to be humble.”
He leans in, his lips ghosting your jaw, hot breath brushing your skin. Shivers run down your spine as he does so, and damn, this man has so much power over you. He could make you come right here with his fingers alone.
“I’m the king,” he growls, voice low and rough. “I take what’s mine.”
Your pulse races. “And what exactly is yours, Jungkook?”
“You,” he says without hesitation. His hands slide up your thighs, fingers slow and deliberate. “This mouth. This body. Every soft sound you make when I touch you like this,” he presses you down against him, your breath stalling.
“Careful,” you whisper, but your voice wavers. “You might start something we can’t finish.”
His teeth scrape your neck, just enough to make your skin burn and make you gasp.
“Sunshine,” he murmurs, “I thought you already knew that I finish everything that I start.”
You gasp once more when his hands tighten around your waist, pulling you flush against him. Your fingers grip his shoulders as his mouth returns to yours, hungrier now, tongue sliding past your lips like he’s starving for you.
And maybe he is. Because the way he holds you, the way he kisses you, it's not just lust. It’s love, wild and unfiltered, carved deep into every heartbeat between your bodies.
“Do you even realize,” he mutters against your lips, “how beautiful you are like this? Carrying our son. Glowing like the goddess you are. Do you have any idea what you do to me?”
“Tell me,” you whisper, already breathless.
But Jungkook doesn’t tell you; he shows you.
You don’t remember when the kiss deepened, only that your hands are now tangled in his hair and he’s devouring you like he needs you to breathe. His chair creaks beneath the pressure of your bodies tangled together, his hands roaming like he’s trying to memorize every curve.
“Jungkook,” you gasp as he grips your hips and rocks you against him, his mouth trailing down your throat, leaving heat in every place he touches.
“Tell me to stop,” he mutters, lips brushing the hollow of your collarbone. But the way his voice sounds, low and hoarse, says he’s hoping you won’t.
“Why would I ever want that?” you breathe, tilting your head back to give him more access.
“You drive me crazy,” he says, sliding your hoodie up slowly, savoring every part of newly revealed skin. “You walk around here looking like sin and expect me to keep my hands to myself?”
“I didn’t say that,” you whisper, guiding his hand where you need him most. “I want your hands on me.”
His fingers brush over your clothed pussy, and a moan instantly falls from your lips. God, this feels marvelous.
“Good,” he growls. “Because I don’t plan on letting go.”
He kisses you again, this time slower, deeper. His hand slips beneath the waistband of your pants, fingers tracing your skin like he’s praying to something divine.
Your back arches as his name escapes your lips in a breathless moan, and it’s that sound that breaks whatever control he had left. He pulls you closer, anchoring your body to his like he wants to burn this into his memory forever.
And he will.
Because here, in the quiet fire of his study, you’re not just his lover. You’re the storm he chooses to get lost in. Again and again.
“Take off your pants, sunshine,” he whispers against your lips.
You don’t have to be told twice. You instantly stand up, removing every single piece of clothing left on your body. Jungkook does the same, not wanting to waste any more time. When he sits back down on his chair, his hand finds his tick shaft to lazily stroke it. He looks like pure sin like that, but man, you’d be lying if you say that it’s a sin you wouldn’t like to get lost in.
“You look so hot,” you tell him.
His eyes look up at you with pure filth in them.
“Don’t even get me started on how fucking hot you look, sunshine,” he says with a deep voice.
In no time, you’re sitting on him again. You remove his hands from his dick and guide them to your core that is craving his fingers more than ever. He instantly rubs his fingers against your folds, making you moan. You bite your lower lip, trying not to make too much noise, but it’s a lost cause.
“Fuck, sunshine,” he swears. “You’re so soaked.”
Your hands wrap around his cock, pumping it at the same pace of his fingers. Your gazes are locked in each other, his mouth opened as you pleasure him.
“Don’t muffle your moans,” he practically begs. “I want to hear every sweet sound you make.”
“I don’t want the staff to hear us,” you admit, your breath hitching as his fingers work magic against your core.
A little chuckle leaves his lips before a mischievous glint appears in his eyes.
“Sunshine,” he murmurs with a smirk. “They’ve already heard us multiple times. At this point, I’d even say they take notes every time.
You gasp with surprise, your hands squeezing his dick. A strangled moan escapes his mouth.
“Jungkook!”
He just laughs and leans in, lips brushing your ear.
“What? I’m only giving them something to gossip about at dinner. ‘Did you hear yn again last night?’” He teases in a mock-serious voice. “‘Poor walls, they’re not built for royal passion.’” He continues.
One of your hands stops pleasuring him to swat at his chest, but he catches your wrist with a grin that spells trouble.
“I could always make it worse,” he murmurs, lips ghosting over your jaw. “Be louder. Give them a real show.”
“Jungkook,” you warn.
He kisses the corner of your mouth, then his lips move to your cheek, and then just beneath your ear. Each press of his lips is soft but promising something far less innocent. And honestly, you want him to ruin you, but you don’t want to make a lot of noise. It’s weird to imagine that the staff hears you while you’re making love with Jungkook.
“You sound like a horny teenager,” you laugh.
One of his fingers slips inside your hole, his eyes glued to your face to catch your reaction. Your mouth hangs open while you try not to moan like a savage. Your hands leave his already hard shaft to balance yourself on his shoulders.
“It’s the yn effect,” he replies, his finger thrusting into you. “I could make love to you all day long and never grow tired,” he admits. “I’ve never felt like this before. I’m so damn addicted to you. And I want everybody to know it.”
“Oh,” you moan while you shut your eyes. “Jungkook.”
“The way you moan my name,” he says while torturing you, “is the prettiest sound I've ever gotten to hear.”
Without realizing it, you start bucking your hips, a trail of moans falling from your lips. You don’t manage to hold back even if you want to. This man knows how to pleasure you with only one finger.
“That’s it, sunshine,” he whispers against your ear. “Let them know how good I make you feel.”
His cock twitches due to the sight in front of him, his glowing, and pregnant girlfriend melting under the weight of desire. How on earth did he get so lucky to have you? What did he do to deserve you?
“Jungkook,” you moan once more. “I want to come around your dick,” you confess.
A grin grows on his face before he presses a gentle kiss on your cheek.
“As you wish, my queen,” his eyes look up at you while his finger stops torturing you.
His hands hold your waist while you eagerly sit on him, his cock splitting you in half as it makes its way inside you. The sensation is overwhelming, but more than welcome. Your walls curve and mold into the shape of his massive shaft. You grip onto his shoulders as he bottoms up. He stops once he has reached your cervix to give you both some time to adjust.
However, you don’t want to wait at all, so you clench your walls around him. His eyes open wide with surprise.
“Please move,” you beg.
“You could have just said it instead of torturing me,” he says.
“What’s the fun of it if I can’t torture you?” you tease him. “You can’t be the only one doing it.”
“You drive me insane,” he starts to move, slow and deep. “And I fucking love it.” His lips whisper against your ear. “But don’t forget who always wins in the end.”
And then, your man shows you no mercy. He thrusts up into you at an erratic pace, making you both moan incredibly loudly. On top of that, your skin clapping against his is also echoing in the room. Well, there’s absolutely no doubt that the entire household staff is aware of what you’re both doing.
Your breasts bounce, and Jungkook stares at how they perfectly move. He’s totally hypnotized by the way they move. He has noticed how bigger they’ve grown over the past few days, and he’s definitely not going to complain.
“Your breasts are so big now,” he whispers before burying his face in them.
His mouth wrap around your left nipple and sucks it like there’s no tomorrow. This feels beyond overwhelming. His hard thrusts and his mouth on your nipple are too much. But you don’t care because the feeling is marvelous. It’s actually an exquisite torture, one you never want to stop.
“Blame it on the milk,” you manage to say.
“Eeeh, I’m not going to blame anything or anybody,” he admits against your nipple, his eyes looking up at you. “I’m the happiest right now.”
You chuckle, your fingers finding their way to his hair. Jungkook shows no mercy to you and fucks you hard and deep. Every thrust has you losing your breath and gasping when you inhale. You can only whine and moan, but Jungkook isn’t any better.
When you start clenching around him due to the growing wave inside you, his thrusts grow erratic. You know you’re extremely close to your orgasm, but you try to hold it back a little longer because you know that if you do it, it will taste even better when it hits you. You’ve gotten to experience it over the last times.
“Your pussy is so good,” he’s utterly consumed by lust.
His mouth leaves your nipples, and his hand slaps your ass which makes your hips buck. Honestly, you never thought you’d be into ass slapping, but man, every time he does it, you get wetter. He knows it, so he does it often.
But then, his hands hold your ass in place, and his feet plant in the floor so he can buck up, hitting your cervix so deep and hard that you’re squealing. He’s getting closer, you know it. You’re also very close.
“Shit, I’m so close,” you confess through moan.
“Yeah?” he asks. “Me too.”
Both of you are completely lost in pleasure, his thrusts now completely sloppy, while your moans are only getting louder. He slaps your ass once more, and without any warning, your orgasm hits you with an intensity you never experienced before. Fucking in a new place together with the extreme teasing must be the reason.
Jungkook follows you right after because of the way you’re pulsing on his shaft. His cock twitches before releasing his cum inside you. You wrap your arms around his neck to bring him closer while you both get down for your orgasms.
Your breathing is still shallow, your bodies still locked together, but Jungkook doesn’t move away. Instead, he buries his face in the crook of your neck, planting slow, open-mouthed kisses along your damp skin.
“I love you,” he murmurs, his voice still thick from the intensity.
“I love you too,” you smile, your fingers combing gently through the back of his hair.
A few moments pass like that—hearts beating together, sweat cooling on flushed skin—before he finally, gently pulls out of you. He grabs a soft towel from the drawer nearby, the one he always keeps just in case, and carefully cleans you up.
“You have a towel here?” you furrow an eyebrow.
“Yeah,” he shrugs as he now cleans his dick covered with his sperm and your juices. “I have to be ready in every room.”
“You’re unbelievable,” you roll your eyes.
“It’s not my fault I can’t keep my hands to myself when I’m around you,” he admits.
He wraps his arms around you like you’re the most precious thing in the world before you press a chaste kiss on his lips. You snuggle in his embrace, eyes fluttering shut as you feel safe, warm, and utterly loved.
“We should get dressed before we get cold,” he whispers.
“I don’t want to move,” you pout.
“Me neither, sunshine, but we have to,” he says, standing up while still holding you tightly before putting you down.
Once you’re fully dressed, you head to the bedroom to fall asleep in each other’s arms.

Faster than expected, you’re in a special delivery room, pushing a baby out of your body. Jungkook is holding your hand while you scream in pain. Giving birth is quite painful, but you try to navigate your pain like the midwife told you. She’s even here, trying to help you.
Carrying and giving birth to a royal werewolf is kind of special. Werewolves don’t give birth at the hospital for many reasons. They give birth at home. However, the woman carrying the next heir gives birth in a place especially built for royal births. Apparently, it was built centuries ago on sacred werewolf ground. No heir has ever been born outside this sacred ground.
It’s a beautiful room, designed in a way that the woman could give birth in her human or wolf form. Everything in this space has been crafted with intention, from the smooth stones to the domed ceiling open to the sky, which allows the moonlight to flow in. On a night like this, under the Blood Moon, it casts a glow so red that it almost feels unreal. There’s no hospital beeping, no sterile walls. There’s just silence.
Well, except for your screams, Jungkook’s sweet and encouraging words, and the voice of the midwife who guides you through the birth. This is completely different from any birth presented on tv.
And even though you’re in pain, you find beauty in it. In this exact same room, countless queens before you stood, cried, pushed, and welcomed life. Jungkook came to life in this exact same room, which is very poetic. Every crowded werewolf king was born between these same walls.
This is where heirs are born. Where bloodlines continue. Where the old world and the new meet.
But tonight is even more special than any other night. Tonight it’s the Blood Moon. The moon is extremely red tonight, and it feels like the universe knew that the future king would be born tonight. The redness of the moon reminds you of the color of the Blood’s pack. The same pack that your son belongs to. Even the name of this type of moon alludes to the powerful pack of the royal family.
“You’re doing an amazing job, sunshine,” Jungkook whispers against your forehead.
You’re not exactly in the most glamorous position right now. First of all, you’re fully naked with your knees and hands on the floor and legs open. Anyone behind you is graced with the prettiest view in the world, but who cares? This is the position that helps you give birth to your little boy. This moment right here isn’t about being pretty, it’s about bringing a new life to the world. And all that matters is to be in a position that feels safe.
“I don’t know,” you start crying in pain.
“Hey, listen to me,” he says, his gaze locked with yours. “You’re pushing a little being from your body under a damn full moon and you’re doing it amazingly. It’s a lot of pain, I know, but you’re doing great.”
Ah yeah, the full moon. Normally, you should have already shifted, and both Jungkook and the midwife are expecting it at any moment. But so far, you’re still a human, and it seems like you’re not about to shift at all. You can feel it in your bones. Apparently, it doesn’t matter if you’re in labor. If it’s the full moon, you shift and give birth in your wolf form. It has happened to a lot of women.
The most surprising part, as well, is the fact that you’re not shifting under this type of moon. The Blood Moon is more powerful than any other moon, making it harder to shift. Even some Alphas struggle. Not Jungkook, though. This man definitely masters everything, which doesn’t surprise you at all.
“You can do it,” he smiles at you. “I believe in you, sunshine.”
Even though Jungkook doesn’t really feel the excruciating pain you’re experiencing right now, he’s trying to help you. This is a physical pain, one that he can’t comprehend as he’s not a woman, and because the bond doesn’t make him feel the physical pain. It’s mostly the emotional one. And that one, he feels it in every cell of his bones.
The midwife soothes your back, trying to comfort you as well. She told you she had three children, the youngest being fifteen today. Her second child was born during a full moon, and she had to go through the pain of childbirth and the shift. She thought she’d die. It was a pain like no other. She shifted during labor, and she gave birth to her daughter as a wolf. It’s definitely crazy, but you can only have admiration for this woman.
“You’re really doing great, yn,” she says with a soft voice. “Listen to Jungkook.”
“It hurts so much,” you say.
“I know, sweetheart,” Nari, the midwife, answers. “But very soon, your baby will be here with you, and the pain will then calm down.”
All you want now is for your baby to be out, but he’s been taking all his time to go down. It isn’t his fault; he’s actually also in pain. It isn’t just you; it’s him too.
Nari told you that babies suffer too during birth, and honestly, you never considered it, but it makes sense. When the waters break, there is nothing between you and your baby anymore. It’s literally bones against bones. And in the middle of that, your baby has to descend and move his little head to pave the way out.
The warmth that he usually gives you when you’re not well isn’t there anymore. There’s something else, and maybe that’s what accentuates your pain. You’re not sure. There’s just so much going on right now. Everything is over-stimulating. And this has been going on for hours now.
Five minutes ago, you reached the pushing part. Your baby is close; he’s almost here. It’s a matter of minutes or seconds before meeting your little boy. Before meeting the life you’ve been carrying for nine months. And honestly, that’s the part you’re the most excited for. That’s the part you’ve been waiting for since starting this whole insemination journey.
Your body is shaking under the pressure and the pain, sweat clinging to your skin, but your mind is solely focused on one thing. It’s on him. On your son.
You’re so close to finally meeting the little soul who’s changed everything. The one who’s made you stronger, softer, and more alive than you ever thought possible. You feel Jungkook’s hand caressing your face. His voice murmuring something low in your ear, something encouraging, but you can’t make out the words anymore. All you hear is your heartbeat.
And when the next wave comes, you push with everything you have left. Not just with your body, but with your heart. You push like it’s the last time you have to do it. Nari is behind you, trying to check on the progression, and then her words echo in your mind.
“I see his head,” she says with evident joy. “One more push, sweetheart.”
You’re uncertain if you have any strength left in you, but if one final push is what it takes, you believe you can do it. Every muscle in your body is trembling, your heart racing with pain and anticipation. Jungkook disappears from your line of sight, but he’s behind you now, steady and silent, ready to be the first one to hold your son.
The room feels suspended in time, heavy with energy. The world quiets. It’s just you, your body, and the tiny soul about to arrive.
Then it comes. The final contraction crashes over you like a tidal wave, fierce and unstoppable. Your hands clutch, your jaw clenches as you scream through it. You push, not just with your body, but with everything in you. With love, with fear, with fire.
And in that breathless moment, you feel it—your son sliding from your body, the final connection breaking. It’s more than just physical. It’s like a part of your soul detaching, only to be reborn in a new shape. He’s no longer just yours alone. He’s himself now. A tiny, living being. A legacy. A future.
For a brief moment, the room is filled with silence while Jungkook catches your son. This silence seems impossibly long for you, but extremely short for your boyfriend, who watches your baby with absolute wonder. The baby you’ve both been longing for so long.
Then, the silence is suddenly shattered by the sound you’ve been aching to hear—a cry. Sharp, strong, impossibly real. Your baby is finally here. Your baby has finally left your body after all this time.
Tears form in your eyes instantly. You don’t even realize you’re crying until your vision blurs. Jungkook lets out a sound; a broken breath, part laughter, part disbelief. He now holds your son in his arms for the first time since it all started.
“He’s here,” he whispers, his voice shaking. “He’s perfect.”
“You can turn around,” Nari tells you while she rubs your back.
With shaky legs and with the help of Nari, you finally sit, and when you finally get to see Jungkook with your son, your heart instantly melts. Your boyfriend’s eyes look up to meet yours, and he gets closer to you to rest your baby in your arms. The second he’s rested against you, his cries calm down, your warmth reassuring him.
You hold him extremely tightly against you. It feels surreal. It feels like you’re in a dream. Your eyes are glued on your son, and you never want to look at anything else than him. Tears keep running down your face, but this time, it isn’t due to the pain. It’s due to the extreme love and joy your heart is experiencing right now. You don’t even notice Jungkook standing next to you and looking at the two of you.
“Let’s place you in a more comfortable position,” Nari informs you.
Both she and Jungkook guide you to a little place behind you. You remain seated, but your back is now pressed against a soft material. Your legs are wide open, the umbilical cord still connected to your body. For a little while, you stay like this. Jungkook sits next to you, his impressive hands caressing the top of the baby’s head.
“Okay, it’s now time to push the placenta out,” Nari tells you.
She hands a pair of scissors to Jungkook to cut the umbilical cord. You never let go of your son, too scared that he might disappear if he isn’t in your arms anymore. But you have to hand him to his father because the placenta needs to leave your body. After a couple of pushes, it’s out. Now, your belly feels empty. There isn’t anything there anymore. And you feel a little pain in your heart. You got used to feeling your son inside you, and he isn’t there anymore. He’s in his father’s arms.
“How are you feeling?” Jungkook sits down next to you once more after Nari took your baby to check him up.
“Dead,” you honestly answer. “I’m destroyed and I feel empty too, but my heart has never felt this full of love.”
Jungkook’s hand gently strokes your thigh, and you rest your head on his shoulder. You close your eyes as you feel yourself slowly falling asleep.
“How does it feel now to be a father?” you ask, already half asleep.
“I became a father the second you got pregnant,” he says. “But now that I've gotten to meet our son, my heart is about to explode with love. I’ve never fallen in love this way.”
You’d like to say you’re offended, but you feel the exact same way. The second you laid eyes on your son, you fell in love with him. It’s a kind of love you’ve never felt before. It’s so pure and so strong at the same time. When you hear Nari getting closer to you, you open your eyes. She’s walking back to you with the brightest smile on her face.
“I’ll let you discover his pretty eyes,” she says as she places your baby in your arms.
Both you and Jungkook gasp when you see his beautiful eyes. Unexpectedly, he doesn’t have one eye color. He has two. One eye is blue and the other is red. He doesn’t belong to one pack only. He’s part of both. He’s a Shadow and Blood.
“It’s so pretty,” Jungkook whispers. “I’ve never seen anyone being part of two packs.”
“Seems like he didn’t want to choose,” you smile. “He wants to be both at the same time.”
“And that’s why he’s already strong. He got the best of both worlds.”
“It’s a first time,” Nari intervenes. “Nobody has ever belonged to two packs, and I’m already so proud that our future king will belong to my pack,” her eyes meet yours, “to our pack.”
Nari is a Shadow. When it came to giving birth, you didn’t want just any midwife. You wanted someone who understood you, who spoke the language of your blood and instincts. Someone who could guide you not just medically, but spiritually too. If something were to go wrong, she’d know what to do. It gave you peace, and that peace is what brought you here.
“And let’s not forget he also belongs to the humans,” Jungkook adds gently. “He carries human blood too.”
You glance at him, heart swelling. Your son is already so special, not only because he’s your son. He’s a hybrid, a Shadow, a Blood, and a future king. A future king with roots deeper than tradition, broader than bloodlines. He carries so much already, and he’s only a couple of minutes old.
“Yes,” you whisper, your mind drifting to your father.
For a moment, you think about your parents. Your mind brings back your father’s smile and your mother’s warm laugh. They would have been overjoyed. Their grandson would’ve been spoiled with stories, hugs, and the kind of love only grandparents know how to give. You know they’re watching, wherever they are. You hope they’re proud.
Even though they won’t physically be present, they’ll be in your heart. And your baby boy is lucky to have Felix as his grandfather. He’ll grow up with him and will call him grandpa, but you know he’ll grow up with stories of your parents. Just like he’ll grow up with the stories of his grandfather, Taemoo.
“And what will be his name?” Nari asks, her voice cutting gently through the stillness.
You smile. The question lingers in the air, heavier than expected, not because it’s unexpected, but because this moment feels sacred. You hadn’t told anyone, not even your closest family. You and Jungkook decided early on to keep it secret, away from opinions or superstitions. This name wasn’t up for debate. It was chosen, not by trend, not by suggestion, but by instinct.
“Kai,” you say simply.
Nari’s eyes brighten, her smile wide and genuine.
“A unique name for a truly unique child,” Jungkook adds, pride clear in his voice.
You glance at your son, swaddled and sleeping peacefully, as if the world hadn’t just shifted around him. For the longest time, he was supposed to be Minho, a name you both adored. But the moment he made his presence known, strong and certain, you realized he needed something different. Something rare. Something that fits.
Minho was sweet. But Kai… Kai felt like destiny.
Maybe Minho will be the name of another son one day. But this boy? This boy was born under a Blood Moon, in a sacred place, with shadows and royalty in his veins.
Kai was always meant to be his name.
“It’s a sweet name,” Nari answers.
“Thank you,” you look up, your eyes meeting hers for a moment.
It’s extremely unreal to realize you just gave birth to the next king. It’s already surreal that you’re dating one, but now? Now, your blood runs through royal veins. Your lineage and Jungkook’s, once separate, are forever bound together in the heart of a child who carries both your worlds.
Bloodlines entwined, not just by fate, but by choice. By love.
After a little while, Jungkook carries you back to the main house while Nari holds Kai. You have absolutely no more energy left in your body. It’s like Kai sucked it all up while joining you. And your boyfriend doesn’t want you to make any more effort tonight.
“Can you please take care of him while I help her take a bath?” Jungkook asks Nari once inside.
“Absolutely,” she answers.
Jungkook’s arms hold you very tightly as he makes his way to the bathroom next to your bedroom. First, he lays you down on the bed and then disappears to turn the water on. You’re slowly falling asleep, and you’re internally battling to keep your eyes open, but it’s extremely hard. You desperately need to sleep.
Nari, on her side, is in your son’s room. It’s the room right in front of yours. You’ve prepared and decorated it before your baby’s arrival. To your eyes, it’s the prettiest room in this house.
When the bath is filled with hot water, your boyfriend comes back. A smile appears on his face when he notices that you’re in the exact same position.
“You haven’t moved,” he comments.
“I’m too tired, Kook.” You don’t even have the energy to say his full name.
His hands remove the blanket covering your body before holding you once more. He lays you in the hot water, making you gasp as you feel it surrounding your sore body. Jungkook sits on the floor, his eyes filled with so much pride.
“Thank you,” he whispers, his fingers tugging a strand of hair behind your ear. “Thank you for being such a wonderful and powerful person.” Your eyes look up to meet his. “Thank you for giving birth to our son. Thank you for making me a father,” his eyes are glowing like never before. “Thank you for making me the happiest man in the world.”
“You don’t have to thank me, angel.” Your hand finds its way to his cheek to stroke it. “We’ve done this together.”
“I feel so grateful to have you,” he says. “But now that you’ve given birth to Kai, I feel even more grateful. I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but I’m so damn lucky that fate made you my soulmate. Life before you felt tasteless. You’re literally my sunshine, and I’m so in love with you. Even more now that I got to witness this incredible moment.”
Something has changed in Jungkook, you can see that although you’re extremely tired and half awake. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but he’s definitely glowing. Tears start forming in your eyes as he pours his heart out for you.
“You’re going to make me cry, Jungkook.” Your hand never stops soothing his cheek.
“Marry me, yn,” he blankly says.
Your eyes widen, your hand instantly halting. Even though you knew it would happen one day, because of the soulmate bond, it catches you by surprise. You didn’t expect to hear those words on the day you’d deliver your son.
You always imagined the proposal to take place a bit later on, maybe in two years or something like that. You thought that it would happen around a romantic moment that Jungkook would have planned weeks before. He would bend down on his knee with a velvety box in his hand, and a beautiful ring would be on display.
“Jungkook…” you whisper. “Did you really just ask me to marry you while I’m floating half-dead and asleep in a tub, and bleeding?”
“There’s no version of you I’d love more than this one.”
You shake your head softly with a little smile on your face. Your boyfriend is being extremely adorable, and you feel so thankful to have him in your life and have him as your baby daddy.
“You should’ve waited,” you begin. “You should’ve waited a least a couple of days or waited until I felt like myself again.”
“I couldn’t wait, sunshine,” he says, his voice low and steady. “What happened today…. I’ve never seen anything more powerful and more beautiful than you today. You brought our son into this world. You made him.”
He leans in, his lips brushing against your forehead. Your eyes instantly close to savor this moment.
“Seeing you here after giving birth to our son, it just feels like it’s the right moment. Any other moment won’t ever feel as right as this one. You, looking like a sleepy goddess who just conquered the world, are exactly who I want to annoy for the rest of my life,” he smiles while you open your eyes again to look at him.
Jungkook brings your hand to his lips and presses a kiss against your knuckles, his warm mouth contrasting with the room's cool air.
Your heart swells in your chest, emotions flooding in all at once. You’ve just brought life into the world, and now Jungkook is looking at you like you hung the moon. After everything, after the hours of pain, fear, and wonder, his words wrap around your heart like silk, softening the sharp edges of exhaustion.
And it hits you all over again: this is your person—the one who’s seen every version of you and still chooses you wholeheartedly.
“Marry me. Not because it’s tradition or timing. Not because we had a child. Marry me because you're my home, and because we were written into each other long before we ever met.”
“You’re really going to ask me to marry you while I’m naked, bruised, and leaking all sorts of fluids?” You smile through your exhaustion.
“You make leaking look ethereal,” he grins.
You groan and laugh at once. “God, I hate you.”
“No, you don’t.”
And he’s right, you don’t. You love him with all your soul. You love him enough to say the one word that makes his whole world stop for a moment.
“Yes.”
His breath catches. He blinks once, twice, then leans in to kiss your temple like you’re the most sacred thing he’s ever touched.
“Say it again,” he murmurs, lips brushing your skin.
“Yes, Jungkook.”
He rests his forehead gently against yours.
“I’m going to spend the rest of my life thanking the moon for you.”

When you open your eyes, you’re graced with the prettiest view you’ve ever got to witnessed. Jungkook is holding Kai tightly in his arms and is rocking him while singing a lullaby. You never knew that you needed this in your life. For a brief moment, his eyes meet yours, and a wide smile appears on his face.
“Mommy is finally awake,” he sings to your son.
Nari stayed the entire night to help you out. It was more than a struggle to stay awake, and you actually fell asleep in the bath while Jungkook was cleaning you. But then, you woke up several times with your son’s cries, and you even started to breastfeed him after several failed attempts.
Jungkook woke up as well and made sure you’d fall asleep right after nourishing your baby. He wanted you to sleep as much as possible because you went through a physically traumatic experience. Your body needs to recover from it, and it starts with getting as much rest as possible. So basically, he was mostly the one taking care of Kai. And you’re absolutely thankful for that.
“She is the most special person in the whole wide world,” he continues. “She’s my lover and your mommy. We are both so lucky to have her.”
You can’t help but smile as you hear him sing. For a moment, your eyes take in the sight in front of you.
Jungkook stands shirtless, his chest rising and falling steadily as he cradles your baby against him. His strong arms cradle Kai with such ease, the quiet strength in his touch wrapped in a tenderness that steals your breath. It’s a contrast so beautiful, it tugs at something deep inside you. His hair is all over the place, and the faint dark circles beneath his eyes tell you everything you need to know—he barely slept last night, too busy taking care of both of you.
This sight feels like a dream you never knew you had. If this is how you’re going to wake up every day from now on, then well, you won the damn lottery. Honestly, you won it when Jungkook entered your life and showed you what true love is. Throughout those past nine months, he stood by your side, braved every storm with you, and held your hand through it all. Kai is lucky to have him as his father.
“She’s the strongest woman I know,” Jungkook hums softly, his eyes still on Kai. “She brought you into the world with so much courage, and somehow, she still looks like an angel while doing it.”
“I probably look like a wreck,” you laugh lightly, your voice raspy from sleep.
His gaze meets yours, his smile softening. This version of you is one he never saw coming, yet he’s fallen harder than he ever imagined. To him, you're breathtaking. You’ve just brought life into the world, and despite the exhaustion etched into your features, he sees nothing but beauty and power.
“You look like the prettiest wreck.”
That causes your face to warm, and your eyes sting with the sudden wave of emotion. You shift slightly under the covers, your body still aching, but your heart overflowing. The postpartum period won’t be easy, you know that. It’s already quite painful to move in bed, but you have to take it slow. Jungkook is by your side; he even took some time off from his royal duties.
His mother, Jisoo, is actually going to step in to manage everything else while you and Jungkook settle into this new chapter. He won’t be fully stepping away from his duties, but for as long as you need him, you’ll be his only priority. He wants to help you, and he also wants to be a present father for Kai. There’s no way he won’t be present in the first moments of his son’s life.
Jungkook walks over to the bed, still holding Kai, and kneels beside you. Your eyes look down at your baby, who looks absolutely perfect.
“We missed you,” he murmurs.
“I missed you both too,” you whisper, reaching out to trace your finger gently along Kai’s tiny cheek. “I still can’t believe he’s here.”
“Me neither,” Jungkook confesses. “But it feels wonderful to have him here. I don’t want to ever let go of him.”
Your hand moves up to stroke your boyfriend’s cheek, and his eyes instantly flutter shut. His face leans into your palm instinctively, and it feels like your skin is the only anchor he needs. For a moment, neither of you speaks—there’s no need to.
Everything you’ve been through, everything you feel, lives in the quiet between your breaths. You trace the curve of his cheekbone with your thumb, and when his lashes finally lift, his gaze is soft and reverent, like you’re the most sacred thing he’s ever seen.
Your boyfriend then places Kai in your arms before he stands up and sits next to you in bed. Your eyes land on your baby. The most beautiful and perfect being you’ve ever seen. His tiny, round nose reminds you of his father’s. His full cheeks remind you of yours in that portrait your grandparents have. And in all honesty, you feel like your son looks a lot like your mom.
“He’s so perfect,” you whisper while your finger gently traces over his nose.
“He is,” Jungkook whispers near your ear.
Your boyfriend rests his chin on your shoulder, the two of you completely hypnotized by the little life you created together.
“He’s incredibly perfect because he takes a lot after you,” Jungkook’s words echo in your mind. “It almost feels like I didn’t contribute at all in here. He’s just a tiny and mini version of you. And man, that makes him even prettier.”
“He has your nose,” you answer. “And your eyes.”
“Only one,” he smiles.
It’s still so disturbing to have a baby with heterochromia, especially since the colors are extremely different. Red and blue.
“I’m not speaking of the color,” you shake your head. “I’m talking about the shape.”
“Other than that, he just looks like you.”
“I think he looks a lot like my mom,” you admit. “Remember the pictures my grandparents showed us?” Jungkook nods. “When I look at Kai, I see the one taken a couple of hours after my mom was born.”
Now that you said it, Jungkook can’t unsee it. Your son definitely takes after your mom, but your boyfriend is still convinced Kai is a mini version of you.
“But he also looks a lot like you, sunshine. When I look at him, all I see is you.”
Slowly, Kai opens his eyes. Although it’s weird to see two eye colors, it just suits him. It makes him even more perfect.
“Seems like you’ve decided to shake our world completely, little prince,” Jungkook speaks out loud. “Being a hybrid wasn’t enough,” his finger strokes his cheek. “You also needed to belong to two packs,” he pauses for a bit. “You’re just like your mother.”
“We decided it was about time that things changed over here,” you answer with a bright smile on your face.
Your son’s eyes move from you to Jungkook, and it feels like he recognizes you. And then, out of the blue, you both feel the warmth Kai used to spread while inside you. His strong powers already echo around you, enveloping you in a protective shield.
“This little man is definitely going to change everything,” Jungkook says with evident emotion in his voice. “Look how powerful he already is.”
“He’s the result of bloodlines entwining,” you answer. “He carries the blood of Bloods, Shadows, and humans.”
Kai is living proof that mixing blood isn’t a weakness—it’s a strength. A strength that ancient werewolves tried to suppress. And the more you think about it, the more it seems that those old rules weren’t about protection—they were about fear. Fear of what could happen if bloodlines entwined. Fear of power that couldn’t be controlled. But now, with your birth and Kai’s, that fear looks small. Outdated. Because you both are proof that the bloodlines don’t need to be pure. They need to be united.
“In the end, keeping the bloodline pure only made us weaker,” Jungkook mumbles.
“And Kai is the proof of it.”
Kai’s birth was announced to the entire werewolf world within hours. The birth of the next king was celebrated across continents, and the Shadows bowed to the heir who carries their blood. The moment you heard it, you cried.
News of his heterochromia was also announced, marking him as the first werewolf chosen by two packs. A miracle. A first. His dual heritage surprised everyone, and now you’ll have to figure out what that means for his future. But that can wait.
Right now, all that matters is him. Your son. The tiny miracle you carried, birthed, and now hold in your arms.

Jungkook’s family and your family, meaning Lexi and Felix, are all gathered in the biggest living room of this palace. Instead of having your families come one by one to visit you and meet Kai, you decided to invite them all together. You’ve also done it because it’s going to be the first time humans and werewolves are together in the same room.
You also can’t wait to catch their reaction when they see Kai’s eyes. While pregnant, you explained this eye thing to Lexi and Felix so they wouldn’t be surprised when they meet your son for the first time.
Both you and Jungkook are head over heels over Kai. He’s been crying a lot, sleeping a lot, but he’s absolutely adorable. You’ve never been this happy. This journey as a mother has been going much better than you expected when you decided to get inseminated. Being a mother with a father by your side is even better than being a single mother. You get a shoulder to cry on when it’s too much.
When you and Jungkook enter the room with Kai in his arms, all the heads turn to look at you. A smile grows on their faces. Dohee’s kids aren’t present yet, but they’ll get to meet their cousin later on today. Both Felix and Jisoo take a step closer to lay eyes on their grandchild for the first time. You can see a tear running down Felix’s cheek, and man, it does make you feel emotional.
“Mom, Felix,” Jungkook begins, “this is Kai, your grandson.”
At that moment, Kai opens his eyes as if he knows he has to reveal himself to his family. They both gasp as they see with their own eyes the blue and red in their grandson’s eyes. They are totally aware of it because you told them when announcing your son’s birth. It’s something you couldn’t hide from them.
“It’s impressive,” Felix whispers as he gets closer to run a finger over Kai’s cheek.
It definitely makes you extremely emotional to see him become a grandfather. Kai is so lucky to have him as a grandpa because you know damn well Felix will cover him with so much love. Your son won’t ever get to meet your birth parents, but he’ll grow up with the person you chose to call dad.
“It really is,” Jisoo adds. “This little baby is already so special.”
Your son has been special since the day he was conceived. Born to a king and a hybrid.
“Let me see my nephew,” Lexi rushes to your side.
She holds your hand before squeezing it when she lays eyes on her nephew.
“Damn, he really took after you,” her eyes meet yours. “He’s as beautiful as his mom.”
“For once, you’re acknowledging my good looks,” you tease her.
“And it’ll be the last time,” she smiles. “But you both did a great job with this little munchkin. He’s really handsome.”
As Jungkook’s siblings gather around you as well, Kai suddenly shields you and Jungkook, trying to protect you from your own family. They all feel this invisible energy, even Felix and Lexi, who aren’t werewolves. His family struggles to fight it, and their urges to shift.
“It’s okay, little man,” you whisper as you caress his sweet little face. “They are family.”
It’s weird to feel his protective aura all the time. You’ve never experienced something so strong, but you’re so proud at the same time for creating this powerful person. Experiencing it during your pregnancy is one thing, but it’s a totally different now that he’s out.
“Wow, this little guy isn’t joking,” Mingi says. “He’s only two days old and already displaying his powers.”
Honestly, this scares you as well. Your son might be perceived as a threat, and some people might try to do horrible things to him. The first person that crosses your mind is Yuna. She never accepted his existence because of who you are, and because he’s the son of the man she still loves.
“Don’t worry, sunshine,” Jungkook speaks to you through thoughts. “We’ll protect him no matter what.”
“I know, but what if it’s not enough?” Your eyes look up to meet his.
“He seems to be proving he can protect himself and his loved ones.”
“But he’s so little,” you add.
“Look around, love,” he continues. “All these people love him and will protect him. I totally understand you, but I prefer to believe we will all protect him and never let anyone harm him. I don’t want to think negatively.”
Your eyes look at all the people in this room. You don’t doubt the slightest that they’ll do everything in their power to protect him. Jungkook’s family is one of the strongest in the werewolf world. People don’t really stand a chance against them, and they will most probably not stand one face to this little powerful being. But as a mother, you can only be concerned.
Jisoo notices that you’re speaking through thoughts, but she doesn’t say anything. She doesn’t want to ruin whatever conversation you’re having. But she can tell you’re concerned about something. She guesses that it’s about your son’s strength.
Slowly, Kai’s protection fades away.
“How can he do that? How can he know who to protect at such a young age?” Hyunjin asks, baffled.
“We’re not entirely sure,” you admit. “We know he recognizes me because I carried him for nine months. Maybe he hasn’t fully realized he’s no longer inside my body.”
“As for me,” Jungkook adds, “we think he recognized my voice, maybe even sensed me through the soulmate bond.”
“We also believe he recognizes us through blood,” you continue. “Like an instinct—he feels that we share the same blood. But that’s just speculation.”
“We read so many books about mixed bloods, and every one of them said something different.”
Felix helped you decipher a few of the more ancient texts. Thanks to his background in old languages, he managed to translate fragments that spoke of blood recognition—that mixed-blooded children can identify their lineage through something deeper than scent or voice. It’s wild to think about, but those same texts claimed their strength is tied to that very connection.
Everything is so uncertain with Kai, but as he grows up, you’re sure you’ll get to understand it better. Kai is unique, and until he has another sibling, no one else will be like him. Since Kai chose to belong to two packs, any possible child you might have will also belong to two packs. It’s something you've gotten to learn through those many ancient books. All mixed-bloods siblings choose the same pack.
“Well, we’ll learn with him,” Jungkook adds. “Kai is different in every possible way, so we’ll figure everything out through him.”
And you already know that it’s going to be a bumpy road. You’re in the dark with him, and you’ll have to navigate parenthood with his uniqueness. For sure, it won’t be easy, but you’ll have Jungkook by your side, and you’ll shower this baby with love. He’s never going to feel different, although he is.
With Felix and Lexi, he’ll learn to embrace his human side. With the Jeon’s family, he’ll learn to embrace his wolf side. With you, he’ll learn to embrace the best of both worlds. And with Jungkook, he’ll learn to embrace his destiny as the next king. Kai is never going to be alone.
“And we’ll be by your side,” Jisoo says. “He’s never going to be alone with all of us.”
“Let’s not focus on that right now,” Felix says. “He was born two days ago, and we should celebrate him. He’s absolutely adorable,” his eyes look down at his grandson before he caresses his cheek. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, little man. I’ve been waiting for you for over a year now.”
It’s probably been almost two years since you started this insemination journey, and Felix has been there from the very beginning. Nothing went as planned, but in the end, your baby is finally here, which was the original plan. The project was to have a baby, and he’s here.
“I can’t believe I’m an auntie now,” Lexi says. “I’m going to spoil this kid and be the best auntie ever.” Her eyes look at Dohee. “Sorry, I’m just too fabulous.”
You roll your eyes before shaking your head with a smile on your face.
“You’re incorrigible!” you say.
“You’re starting a competition here, Lexi,” Dohee retorts to your sister, “and I’ll smash you. Kai will adore me more than you.”
The two of them are so silly, but you can’t wait to see how it will be once your baby is older. There’s no doubt he’ll love them both so much, although it’ll be different.
“Luckily, he only has paternal uncles and we don’t need to compete with anyone else,” Mingi chuckles.
“You’re all too crazy,” Jisoo says. “You’re going to traumatize this little one.”
“His parents are already doing that,” Hyunjin replies.
“Eeeh,” you say.
Jungkook raises an eyebrow and smirks, rocking Kai gently in his arms. You can already sense that he’s going to say nonsense. It wouldn’t be Jungkook if he didn’t do it. This man always has an answer to all, even if it’s bullshit.
“Excuse you all, but I am clearly his favorite. I’m the one with the good hair,” he says, flipping his hair dramatically like he’s in a shampoo commercial. “He was born obsessed with me.”
The room erupts with laughter, and you shake your head. This man is incredible!
“Delusional,” Lexi fires back.
“Absolutely tragic,” Dohee adds with a snort.
“That’s the sleep deprivation talking,” Mingi says, shaking his head.
“Jealousy isn’t a good look on any of you,” Jungkook shrugs, unbothered. Then he leans in toward Kai, voice soft but teasing: “Don’t worry, little prince, I’ll protect you from your dramatic aunties and uncles.”
After that, you spend the next hour with your family. All of them carried Kai in their arms for a little while. They are all absolutely in love with your little man, like you and Jungkook. Who can’t fall in love with him?
Once they are all gone, you place Kai in the little crib and sit down on the couch. You’re exhausted, dead, and very much sleep deprived, but extremely happy. This family moment filled your heart with so much joy and happiness.
“We did it,” Jungkook says. “We had the little baby we wanted.”
“And we found love in the middle of the journey,” you continue.
“That’s the best part of it all,” he chuckles.
Jungkook gently presses his lips to yours, kissing you with so much passion. Your fingers play with his hair at the nape of his neck while his hands land on your waist.
“Let’s have more handsome babies,” he whispers against your lips.
“Eeeh, give me some time to recover from this birth,” you answer. “And then, I’ll give you as many babies as you want.”
“Really?” his eyes sparkle, and he’s absolutely adorable.
“Yep,” you nod.
Jungkook’s grin grows wider. This man is up to no good. It doesn’t even surprise you because he’s always such a tease. But that’s how you love him so much.
“Dangerous words, sunshine,” he murmurs, voice low and teasing as his fingers brush slow, lazy circles on your waist. “You can’t just offer me a whole army of mini-us and expect me to behave.”
You laugh, your nose brushing his. To be honest, it feels great that nothing has changed between you two despite becoming parents. You were afraid that everything would become different, but except for the part that another person is living in this house, things are pretty much the same with Jungkook.
“I said after I recover, Mister Drama Queen.”
He leans in closer, his lips grazing the shell of your ear now.
“I’ll try to behave, but no promises. You know what you do to me,” his breath is warm, his tone deliciously suggestive.
Your fingers tug lightly at his hair again, lips curling into a smirk. Of course, you know the effect you have on him, but you have still to recover from this birth. Your kid ripped everything inside you when you were pushing him out of you.
“Behave, or you’ll be sleeping on the couch. And Kai’s sleeping in our bed now, so good luck trying anything, Your Highness.”
Jungkook groans dramatically. It’s definitely weird for the two of you to have a third person in your bed. It feels so small now, but you wouldn’t change a damn thing.
“You’re evil. Beautiful, irresistible… and evil.”
You bite your lip to suppress your smile, fully aware of the effect you have on him.
“Welcome to fatherhood.”
Jungkook rests his head on your shoulder, your hands threading slowly through the softness of his hair, the two of you tangled in this hazy, post-baby bubble. The living room is quiet now, just the soft hum of nighttime settling in like the world itself is holding its breath for you.
“You really are going to make me work for those future babies, huh?” you feel him groan against your shoulder.
You giggle softly, your fingers still gently tangled in his hair.
“Parenthood’s a long game, mister. You better pace yourself.”
He pulls back just enough to look into your eyes, his thumb brushing the apple of your cheek, and suddenly, all the teasing fades. His eyes carry that look again. The same look you always fall in love with.
“I’d wait a lifetime if it means doing all of it with you,” his fingers trace invisible lines on your cheek.
And just like that, something inside you shifts. A rush of memories floods in. Memories of who you both were before this love, before the baby, before the chaos and healing and magic that brought you here. There were days when you weren’t sure you’d ever feel this full. But now, it feels like your heart has stretched to hold two lifetimes at once.
“You’re really trying to charm me right now, aren’t you?”
Jungkook chuckles. “Is it working?”
You lean in and press a soft kiss to his lips.
“Always.”
His arms wrap a little tighter around your waist, pulling you just close enough for your head to rest against his chest. You can hear his heart—steady, strong, and completely yours.
“Then let me be this version of me forever. Just a man in love with his girl and wrapped around her finger.”
You laugh into his neck, comforted by the heat of him, by the home you’ve built in his arms.
“Careful what you wish for, Mr. King. You might end up changing all the diapers.”
“Worth it,” he replies without missing a beat, planting a kiss on your temple. “For you? I’d do it all.”
You smile into his chest, letting yourself melt for just a moment longer. Being in his arms is your safest place. It’s where you belong now. There’s no other place you’d like to be right now. Being with Jungkook was always your destiny, and man, thinking about spending the rest of your life with him feels wonderful.
Very soon, you’ll probably get married, and hopefully, more babies will be added to the mix. You’ll get to witness Jungkook as a father and as your lover, something you’re definitely looking forward to. It feels like you can’t love him even more than you do now, but you know that tomorrow, you’ll love him more than you do today. It has been like that since the day you first met him at the clinic.
That day seems so far away when, in reality, it was nine months ago, but so much has happened since then. You've got to discover yourself. You’ve got to discover the truth behind your parents' relationship and death. You’ve got to meet your grandparents. And you’ve got to meet the love of your life.
Today, you’d like to visit your old self. The ten-year-old version of you who lost her parents. You’d hug her, hold her tight in your arms, and cry with her. You’d tell her that everything will go just fine. You’d describe your life and let her know that, one day, she’d be incredibly happy. Maybe she wouldn’t believe you because of the pain, but she’d eagerly wait for that day to come.
Life didn’t treat you well at some point, and you still have to deal with the pain and emptiness you constantly feel. But today, you have Jungkook and Kai. They won’t for sure heal you and fill that void, but they’ll ease the pain.
In the end, the tragic end of your parents has shaken the whole werewolf universe. Your presence alone changed an ancient law, and one day, you’ll get to wear a crown. One that Jungkook will place on your head. You know that if your parents had the chance to know back then what you’d become, they would have died in total peace. They’d have most probably been proud to know their grandchild would become king.
Kai is the result of many bloodlines entwining together. He’s the result of a love story between a Blood King and a Shadow hybrid, but he’s also the beginning of that love story. Without him, maybe today, you wouldn’t have met Jungkook yet. Maybe you’d even spent years before meeting him. It’s crazy to think that Kai is the reason you’re together today.
As you look at Jungkook and Kai, your heart swells with so much love and pride. A smile grows on your face as you reflect on your life. You reflect on what has been the past thirty years of your life.
You survived. You loved. And now, you live for all three of you.
