Remember this post where I talked about how funny Host!Vic’s gender neutrality is? Well now it’s even funnier because this episode seemingly confirmed something I have suspected to be true for a while now, which is that fictional Vic Michealis SOMEHOW DIDNT REALISE THEYRE BI?????

#this is so funny #suspected this because of their interactions with Leighanna and The Fourth Witch #compared to their interactions with male characters #with Leighanna they are obsessed with her they want her so bad but they seem to justify it by wanting to be LIKE her instead #the fourth witch on the other hand? very clearly flirting with them the whole episod #and they just don’t seem to pick up on it #meanwhile you have characters Jordache‚ Dr Milk‚#that frozen guy who’s name I forget #who they very openly flirt with once intrest is shown #and even in this episode I think vic would have reacted quite differently if it was Greg flirting with them #they seem so… hesitant and unsure‚ like they’re trying to reject Charlotte’s advances #which they like NEVER do with male characters‚ this guy wants love so bad #also god. the way they fall for Charlotte and become flattered by her advances as the episode goes on #and you’re just sitting there like. this woman cheated on her husband sixteen times. this will not end well #you just know vic is going to get unbelievabley attached after they hook up and charlottes going to lose intrest within seconds #also I love how Izzy was like ‘ok last time our characters relationship could pass as a friendship so this time I am NOT giving you an out’#god this episode was so good #the last couple haven’t really hit so well for me so this was a lovely reminder of why I love this show #MAN. the implications of this for their relationship with Bianca. they didn’t know. they had no idea.#shitpost #very important people #host!vic #vic michealis #vip #ALSO I believe irl vic prefers the term ‘queer’ over bi judging by that one interview I re read this morning #but I usd bi here because queer in certain contexts can be used for both sexuality and gender identity #so saying ‘they didn’t know they were queer’ might imply they didn’t know they were lgbt at all which clearly isn’t true #also host vic is not real vic so their sexuality could be different #dropout #dropout.tv

Being an osc fan who loves chars who are complicated and mean is hell. Only men and silly characters get to stay in.

#idk if its intentional but a lot of the time the host is mean- and it balances out the fact that mean chars get eliminated 😭#conflict is necessary but if ur chars cant do that then u gotta use the host.#I miss mean flower. she only ever won bc she went through an arc.#cabby too. we need to put James Bond more in the path of queer elders.

Like yes he may be a baby queer finally cracking open the rigid hard shell of his adult life persona to explore Other Modes of Being at 40-some odd years. But also that doesn't stop him from being one of the old guard, he still has a wealth of life experiences, and if anything.... I do think he probably either understands on an intuitive level or would quickly pick up/quickly click with the concepts of gender being Performative. So like that wouldn't be a barrier of entry, and just like. I think he would relate to queer elders better from a like comparable life stages standpoint.

but yeah basically lol, I just think it would be very instructive for him and also, like, that he'd find a lot of camaraderie with elder butches especially lmao. And especially again elder butch activists!! like, in some ways, both him & them have lived through a lifetime of wars that are not wars. And they both had to fight tooth and nail to get here today, but by god are they still alive and screaming in defiance in the face of those that would see them dead.

I think there's a lot he could relate to with them, but also, a lot he could learn from & about with them. Like, queer joy just Hits Different when you see it in queer elders.

#also it would be good for him to see queer joy esp in elder queers #it's like. we fight for our whole lives & god is it hard. and the fight is so nonlinear. but by god do the good moments make it all Worth I #sth sth recognition of the self thru the other etc #and also more options for freedom of exploration & comparatively less judgment & also more room to experiment w modes of expression #and also they can like parallel play w crafts & hobbies lol #WAIT lol. what if he meets his local group of queer elders cuz they're hosting the furniture restoration class #.........is it too much to work in the 'he gets mistaken for a beautiful butch' aspect in this too? im currently running a MHA secret santa on my sideblog (peep @kacchanot-fucking-deal-with-this ), and alas, it is taking up much of my time... but! I am thinking about hosting a New Years Bang! for Batman/Batfam content where most/all of the work will be posted on ao3 in a collection for the event (and all linked on tumblr too!)

i want to do a soft interest check in the next week or so and then i'll probably make a form for everyone to fill out and sign up!

(if you've never heard of a fandom bang! it's when a bunch of people get together and create a bang in the fandom by mass creating fanart and fanfics!!! they're a fairly traditional event in fandom spaces)

It's hard dealing with jealousy about people having friends because i see other incest bloggers with friends on discord and stuff and feel a bit jealous and mad i can't have that, but also no way am i making a second discord just for privacy and I have a very different situation going on here than most people. It's nice having frequent visitors and even people who sometimes DM me, but I guess i should be more aware of how my situation differs and not compare myself to others.
