The family tree is so interesting to me, did any of the parents of Eris or Sebastian grow up in SDV and know each other/the villagers in Stardew Valley?
Tumblr media
I love getting questions abt my ocs so much so first of all, thank you sosoosos much!!!!
I hc that Emily and Haleys Dad also grew up in the valley or his family moved there at some point! But he's quite a few years older than Elias (who is the son of grandpa in my story). Robin too, I'm not too sure, if she just picked some random town to settle down or went back to her hometown or close to?? I'm still a bit indecisive, but something like that maybe. Elias definitly knows of Lewis, Marnie, George and Evelyn and Willy though!
Thank you again!!!

So looking it over, i have noticed a lot of more similarities/connections between the Kage Kage no Mi, and the magical power system the Five Elders and presumably Imu uses alongside their respective devil fruits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Arguably the most iconic, and definitly the most usefull of the magical powers they have hoarded for themselves, is thei seeming total immortality, allowing them to regenerate from any wound by essentially resetting themselves back to their default state.
However, we have seen something similar before related to the Kage Kage no Mi.
Tumblr media
When stripped of their shadows, several of the victorious straw-hats and allies are exposed to the sun and disintegrate...
Tumblr media
only to immediatly regenerate back like nothing happened once their shadows returned, with Sanji and Robin speculating that it was due to their shadows "Forcing" their bodies to match their shadows.
Regardless though obviously less directly controlled by the participants, this visually seems to be very similarily to the aforementioned five elders regeneration above, with similar connections to the element of shadows.
Tumblr media
The five elders have access to a form of teleportation through pentagrams that funtions like a summoning. And when summoned, they are in a state that resembles that of of living shadows.
Tumblr media
meanwhile, Moria has his own teleportation that allows him to switch places with his detached shadow, summoning it to take his physical place, while he swaps with it, with the inbetween state resembling that of living shadows.
Tumblr media
Also interestingly, not only is Moria set to make a comeback in the final arc of the story despite seemingly having made no progress or growth in his combat ability since thriller bark, but Imu's very first action in this series was when he/she ordered Doffy to kill Moria off after the war, supposedly for being too weak, but probably more due to wanting to get ridd of one of the two shadow/darkness devil fruit users at the moment.
Tumblr media
And while obviously a lot of the five elders powers are their own, or comes from their own devil fruits, it's also clear that wheter they are empowered by Imu's powers(wheter it be actual magic or a devil fruit), or they merely draw from the same powerset, their role in relation to Imu ver heavily resembles how Moria calls upon his own shadow to fight his battles for him despite being a rather powerfull figure in his own right, but not capitalizing on it to make full use of his powers.
Tumblr media
And finally contrasting Moria and Imu, is that there is a unique language Quirk to the Kage Kage no Mi. Every other devil fruit in the series that makes the user labled as a specific kind of being "Rubber man", "magma man", "insert animal here Man", etc-
But not the Kage Kage no mi.
Rather than being a "shadow man" as one might expect, the description of the Kage Kage no Mi, one instead becomes described under the term "Master of Shadows".
Not special on it's own, but it is the ONLY devil fruit in the entire series that is described this way. It could be a coincidence, but it could also be a specific detail on oda's part to set it up against Imu's similar powers and role in the story.

Batman Day Comic Recommendation List
In honour of this day, I've compiled a list of 9 batman, or batman adjacent comics that I think everyone should check out (specifically fans who aren't super familiar with the comics yet). They're my "Batman Necessities" so to speak:
Batman by Grant Morrison: While there are certain some interesting things in this book that aren't really my favourite (a consequence of Morrison writing it), overall it captures such, for lack of a better word, camp. It's has the kind of creativity that makes silver age comics so fun while still remaining modern and serious. There are some great stories, it introduces Damian, and overall is just such a compelling run. In the same vein we get to...
Batman and Robin by Grant Morrison: Ok yeah this pretty similar to the above but I had to include both. I actual prefer this short series to Morrison's run on the main Batman book. It features Dick Grayson as Batman and Damian Wayne as Robin and is a great role reversal of the traditional Batman and Robin. The two of them have such a great dynamic and it takes place during such an interesting time in the Batman mythos with Bruces "death" (which I'll admit I wished lasted for longer. Honestly, any book from this era is a blast because of the brief change in the status quo.
Batman Vol. 1 #408-416, #421-425: If you're new to comics don't be intimidated by all the numbers! Batman 408 introduces Jason Todd's Post Crisis backstory and then the issues roll right up to his death. It's a pretty self contained story, and super easy to fly through. I think these are some of the most painfully underrated batman issues. Speaking of Jason's death, my next recommendation is...
Death in the Family + A Lonely Place of Dying: I won't say much because these are just classics and probably the most impactful comics for the Batman mythos ever. Read them.
Batman: Year One: If you want a good ol' Bruce Wayne Batman comic, this is the one. Beautiful art, timeless story, what's not to enjoy? It's also very influential for other Batman media(like The Batman movie) so if you liked that and want a good entrance into comics, this is a great place to start. It's a contained story too, which is really nice if you don't want to have to piece together stuff you missed from other comics. Definitly my favourite Frank Miller Batman story.
Nightwing Vol. 4 #78-: Sure, it's not Batman, but like it or not, Dick Grayson will always be an essential Batman character. Tom Taylor's and Bruno Redondo's run is a big hit for a reason. It's simultaneously fun, heartfelt, and impactful and the writing and art work so well together. It's such a treat to read every month and while it starts great, I feel like as it goes along it starts ironing out and issues I had with it. Great if you want to get into something ongoing (or even if you don't, read it anyways)!
Scott Snyder's Batman (specifically Batman vol 2. #1-12): New 52 was a tumultuous time in DC comics. On the bright side we got the court of owls out of it! Another really good Bruce Wayne Batman story that doesn't need any outside knowledge. I'm in love with Greg Capullo's art, it suits the series so well. The court of owls is such an interesting addition to batman, and honestly it feels like it's a much older part of the batman mythos it was added so seamlessly. If you want a taste of just a solid, simply batman story, this is it.
Batman and Robin by Peter J. Tomasi: This is some of the best New 52 has to offer. I love how Tomasi writes Damian, and I'm a sucker for his dynamic with Bruce. It's a just gives off the best, action packed comic fun vibes. When it's written well it's written WELL and even when it's not quite as perfect it's still solid. Lots of sweet moments too, which I am such a sucker for. And finally we get to the last rec on my list...
Robin: Son of Batman by Gleason (especially issues 1-6): Ok, yes yes I know it's not really a batman book. But just like Nightwing, Robin is an essential part of Batman and how could I leave out my favourite comic ever. Seriously, this book fundamentally changed me when I first read it. Gleason writing, Gray's art, and Kalisz's colouring all combine and complement each other so well. Honestly it's such a joy to look at, and get's even better when you read it. They get Damian, and he shines in this book. The story is tight and impactful and after only 6 issues you'll have such a deep appreciation for the character (and feel like you've been punched in the gut). I recommend everyone take a little bit of time to sit down and give this a read.
And so concludes my great batman recommendation post! Honestly, there's so many more that could be on here that aren't that the best piece of advice I have is pick up any Batman comic that looks interesting to you and give it a go. In all his years, Batman has had such range in his books that there really is something for everyone. Please feel free to add any necessities of your own!

Hal and Tim content 🙏. Hal awkwardly dad-ing Robin Tim when Bruce would be a little too cold.
Robin!Tim: is this the ideal dad shaped man I want
Hal: look at this funky lil dude, he has trauma. why did he pick me!?!??
hal, like literally every hero, has daddy issues and usually that doesn't interfere with his life but at the sight of the small and scrawny robin getting chillingly ordered to wait in the other room while batman does whateverthefuck well...he's got a soft spot.
plus the kid is...small. and skittish. a total contrast to how he is in the field, making every move with calculated efficiency and weighted determination. from what hal knows the little third robin is a good kid. eats his vegetables, follows curfew- that sort of thing. not the kind of trouble maker hal had been. but he sees this sad little kid with bug eyes and shifty feet and....
so hal hangs with the kid a few hours. gets a couple snacks, a few sodas and kicks back with the kid. gives him a grand tour and makes a huge show of even the most mundane thing until he gets a sweet little smile and a giggle for his troubles.
hal is surprised by how much he enjoys himself, listening to the kid babble about comic books and other things hal would've noogied one of his friends for liking in highschool. he's...awfully tiny. hal can't help but think that and wonder what batman even feeds the kid.
hal asks and then gets a long-winded tale about nutrition and about how batman doesn't let him eat junk or any processed foods. the kid's talking about the mineral content in water and whole grain when hal's breaking heart just can't take it anymore-
"ya like burgers kid?"
and so several hours later hal and the kid are getting a pretty harsh dressing down from batman who ended his meeting and couldn't find his robin until he checked the teleporter logs and tracked hal and his kid down to a grease spoon diner. the kids head in hanging down. his fingers are coated in salt and oil there's empty fry cartons around them alongside discarded burger wrappers. hal is sipping on his soda and holding a grounding hand on the kid's shoulder because are they seriously getting scolded for getting a bite to eat? has batman SEEN his kid lately?
man if hal didn't like the guy before he definitly didn't now.
at first it'd been an act of rebellion, just him using his free day to entertain a poor abandoned kid. but now hal was just too aware of this small scrawny kid with too big eyes.
hal greets the kid when he sees him, totally ignoring batman looming behind them.
he starts carrying around cookies and granola, little snacks the ring lets him pack away so he can offer the kid a little something something.
it's just to be nice.
until he lands robin in the infirmary for giving him peanuts. something the kid is allergic to.
"kid! why did you eat it?" hal is scratching his head and scared out of his wits as he holds an oxygen mask to that little face. big bambi eyes blinked at him.
"because you gave them to me."
well shit. fuck. fuck. fuck okay alright okay. that was the saddest shit he'd ever heard.
hal doesn't know shit about being an adult but if he's going to be spending time around the kid he's going to have to...get better at some shit. so he gets the basics down first.
he gets the kid's birthday and sets a reminder in his phone. he buys a calender. an actual physical one and circles the date in red pen.
he learns the kid's allergies. asks what his favorite and least favorite foods are. hal makes sure he buys only those things.
he learns about stuff he likes and makes sure the watchtower waiting room has puzzles and playing cards and something called 'wizards and warlocks'.
hal gets comfortable. he starts calling robin by his name whenever he spots him around.
tim. short and cute name for a short and cute kid.
the kid gets more comfortable around hal. opening up and lamenting about the woes of highschool and being a teen vigilante and boy was hal glad to not have been a lantrn and been going through puberty at the same time.
hal likes the kid, grows fond of him.
he's nice company especially when watch tower duty is slow and mind numbingly boring.
during the worst of it hal lists off the constellations he can see from the windows. he needs to keep himself sharp because he promised he'd help tim with learning them. yet another one of batman's impossible standards in his ever growing list of tasks and random skills to have.
it's during one of those instances that he gets his first phone call from the kid.
pretty soon after that hal gets some nice company. nodding, humming, and murming along as the kid describes his day. it's surprsingly...average. yet hal is surprised with how avidly he listens.
until one day there's a strange hitch in the kids breath. it takes a while to get out of him but when he learns hal has to stop himself from flying down and hunting down a few snot nosed punks who thought it'd be funny to pin down a kid half their weight and "joke" about making him suck them all off because they heard he liked boys.
oh hal knows that level of douchery anywhere. hal had never had to deal with that as a kid because he'd been tall and broad and hot shit.
but tim...was small even for a robin.
kids like tim were easy pickings.
so hal gives some (probably bad) advice.
tim gets suspended but he's so happy over the phone hal's grin doesn't die down for the rest of the day.
maybe hal's a denser guy than he thought
because he doesn't figure out why tim starts looking at him with a sparkle in his eye and an awestruck look when ever he sees him. at first he thought the kid viewed him as a sort of cool older brother?
maybe that's what the hugs were for. because Hal was just an all in all swell guy.
the kid asks hal weird questions like his favorite star trek character, his body mass index, whether he knows how to throw a football and if he'd teach tim.
when hal returns from space he finds a handmade -welcome back!- card and a goody bag.
tim asks hal to teach him how to pilot the Justice League fighter jets and hal nearly sheds a tear.
he doesn't notice when other heroes shift from saying 'hey robin is here for you' to 'hey your kid is in the mess hall'
hal gets the kid involved in some hare brained schemes.
the two of them are curled in pain when hal stupidly challenges barry to a hot dog eating contest and drags the kid into it.
its not all bad though.
tim saves his butt when hal accidentally deletes some very important files and he's left sweating and pacing while tim retrieves them.
'shit I majorly owe you one!'
hal does mean it but he's surprised the kid cashes it in so quickly. and for something so simple.
hal has a great time at the ball park with the kid watching the knights get their asses whopped. no wonder tickets had been so cheap.
maybe hal is a blockhead but it takes him finding the father's day card and flowers at his station while other leaguers are whispering and giggling to realize that he's adopted a child.
batman's station has a similar set up but the card is store bought and the flowers aren't as vibrant.
he's also glaring a hole into his monitor.
meanwhile hal is staring dumbly at the set up and wondering what the hell about him the kid thinks is "dad matierial".

My Top 10 Favourite Fantasy Series
I just saw a top 10 fantasy series video that upset me so I am sharing my own (current) top fantasy series. Since it’s about series as a whole I am taking that into consideration instead of ratings for individual books. I am aware that this is really petty. I am counting series that aren’t finished but I read all the books that came out so far too. Also, some of the placements surprised even myself, but stay with me.
Some extras about fantasy series I want to read/continue at the end.
1. Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb
I doubt this will ever change. I read this series for the first time in 2018/2019 and I already reread most of the books in such a short period of time. I also didn’t have an obsession hit me this hard ever since I was a teen. It is very rare for me to get to these levels (thankfully to my poor irl friends that had no idea what I was talking about at the high of my obsession with this). Now, it is in normal levels of loving a series but at the time I even created another tumblr blog in order not to bother my followers because I swear this series was all I posted about. The writing is beautiful, the plot is very emotional and the characters are the most realistic I have ever seen in fiction. There are some things I hate about this series, but also many things I love and those are in greater quantity. Funnily enough this series sort of saved me because at the time I was having some suicidal thoughts but wanting to know where these characters ended kept me going and eventually I got better. Who says fiction doesn’t save lives? This is the most personal series to me and I doubt any other will ever make me feel the same way. As sad as it can be at times, it also makes me laugh a lot and the quiet talks between the characters by the fire give me a comforting feeling like no other.
2.  Discworld by Terry Pratchett
I might not have read all the books in this series. Not even close. But I read at least 10 of them so I am counting it! Since most of the books can be read as standalones anyway I feel like I am in my right. This series wouldn’t be this high if it wasn’t for Reaper Man, Hogfather, Men at Arms, Feet of Clay and the Witches series. I started with The Color of Magic and enjoyed quite a bit, which seems to be an unpopular opinion. However, that can’t compare with the later books and I see that now. The characters are very cartoon-like, but can be surprisingly deep at times and I love how Pratchett explores very real difficult themes through humour and imagination.
3. Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
The one that is in most lists of this kind. The OG! I must say I am not the biggest fan of the Hobbit and I haven’t read the Silmarillion yet, but besides this trilogy (or one big book, whatever) I have read his essay on Fairy stories and the short Leaf by Niggle and damn me if the man couldn’t write. I know a lot of people struggle with his style, but this exactly the kind of beautiful evocative writing that I like and wish more authors would do. The big themes of Lord of the Rings are heart warming and there is still no place I would rather be but the Shire. I really like the characters too even if I have read the books a long time ago and ever since I have heard people say they aren’t the most complex. I remember the nature descriptions most of all and how Tolkien could be surprisingly funny at times. So, yeah, this warms my heart and I definitly need to give the Silmarillion a try someday. But, please do not talk to me about the world building. That is not the reason why I love this, but it seems to be a big one for most fans.
4. Pandora Hearts by Jun Mochizuki
I trusted two online friends and bought the beautiful box set for this series without having read it and I think the experience of reading it and having such a beautiful thing in my possession helped my enjoyment of this. Mochizuki’s style is very beautiful (and it was only improved in Vanitas), I really like her character and the plot - even though I saw some of the things coming - it’s magnificent. It builds slowly but it’s really worth it. The main character, Oz, appears to be the typical dumb shonen protagonist but very quickly the reader can see he is smarter than he lets on. I never saw a main character like Oz in other shonen manga. There are many characters I could praise and some I am upset about, like Alice. I feel like she could have had so much more development and it’s a bit sad that she didn’t. This series made me laugh, made me gasp and made me tear up, like all series should do to be honest.
5. The First Law by Joe Abercrombie
The reason this is in number 5 is because this man likes war and battle scenes too much. Those are not my favourite things. Still, I find First Law bleak but, most of all, funny. Abercrombie crafted some of my favourite characters like Savine, Jezal, Vick, etc. I have beef with many people in this fandom that doesn’t appreciate my favouries and only talks about the action scenes, but I guess that is the way it is when you get into a series loved by mostly men. I might have my criticisms of the books but Abercrombie knows how to wrap up the themes of his books. It all feels right for the kind of project he has. This series loses points, however, for not bringing me any comfort. The landscapes are mostly empty and I like my nature and quiet moments that are lacking in this.
6.  The Poppy War trilogy by R.F. Kuang
We could have had it all, but you had to write two books with added characters I didn’t care about and make the ones I cared about feel stale. The first book in this trilogy is still my favourite. Even though it has flaws I don’t think they are as many (and don’t bother me as much) as the flaws in the two books that follow. The first book was the only one to make me cry and I felt so much for Rin, who had a big character development that stabilized at the end of that book for the most part. This book had some shonen moments, it was funny at times and even a little bit gay. It was great. Then, the second book was a little less great and the third was just disappointing. I know Kuang was just following real historical events, but I still think it could have been done better and that some characters that lasted so little time were unecessary.
7.  The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander
In general, this is a 4 star series to me. However, I feel so cozy and nostalgic everytime I read it. I didn’t even read this as a kid, I am in my 30s, but the plot and characters are very familiar to me and remind me of similar stories from my childhood. For that, I have to put it in my favourites for now. This is another series that wraps up so well thematically that I love it as a whole. It’s the coming of age of coming of ages and even though Taran is the protagonist, all the other characters are also interesting and fun to follow. I have some complains about it (mostly about Gurgi’s reverence towards Taran), but I still like it a lot. Doli of the fair folk is the best character, followed by Eilonwy.
8.  Greenhollow Duology by Emily Tesh
I didn’t think this will be in my top, but here we are. These short novellas are just so cozy, especially the first one. The nature, the kind giant man, the badass mother, the mischievous fae... it’s all such good vibes. The perfect ones for my tastes.
9.  Gentleman Bastards by Scott Lynch
Unfinished and I really dislike the second half of the second book, but I love Sabetha, Jean and Locke. Locke could be such an annoying character if he didn’t got kicked in the ass so much. I like that he has that know-it-all attitude but things never go his way in the end. I like my characters to be flawed. Pretty fun and interesting series that I wish would be continued and finished, but I am glad I have two and half books I really like.
10.  Sevenwaters by Juliet Marillier
Another series of ups and downs. I still have the last 2 books to read, but I finished the original trilogy. I absolutely despise the second book in this series and that main character annoys me to no end. The fourth book also made me really mad. However, I love the first book and really liked the third. I even liked the romance in the third, which is a rarity for me with this author. Why must people with this talent for writing so beautifully use it to write crap? I swear Marillier has one of the most beautiful and evocative styles but then some of the character’s moral values do not align with me at all. Thank you for the side gay character reveal in the later books though. I wish that was explored, but I understand that we are just doing heterosexual romances here. This, like the one that came before, will probably not stay in my top as I read more series that I like better, but it’s here for now.
Series I want to continue:
Graceling Realm by Kristin Cashore (read 1 book)
Malazan: Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson (read 1 book)
Chocolat series by Joanne Harris (read 2 books)
The Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemisin (read 2 books)
Riverside by Ellen Kushner (read 1 book)
Earthsea Cycle by Ursula K. Le Guin (read 2 books)
Chronicles of Tornor by Elizabeth A. Lynn (read 1 book)
A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin (read 1 book)
Pern series by Anne McCaffrey (read the first book in the Harper Hall)
Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede (read 1 book)
The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper (read 1 book)
Series I want to start:
Westmark by Lloyd Alexander

World of the Five Gods by Lois McMaster Bujold
Kushiel's Legacy by Jacqueline Carey

I’m curious about your Robin Hood retelling!
WIP Files Game - Found HERE
Ah ha, my planned attempt at a Fairytale Retelling! I don't have any snippets yet, so I'll share some details instead.
I really wanted to try my hand at a Fairytale Retelling, so I did some research on the genre and found that the key aspects were either taking the story and putting it into a different setting, or role swapping the traditional story, such as making the villian the hero, etc.
Robin Hood has always been one of my favourite legends. Disney's Robin Hood was my favourite disney movie as a child, and once I was only enough to realise it was based on an english legend, I read some of the original stories too, or what remains of them I could find online.
So making my Fairytale Retelling based on Robin Hood was really a given, but I wasn't sure what, exactly, I wanted to change. I feel like modern-robin-hoods are a little overdone, and it's not like there's a whole lot of magic I can twist and change ... and then I had an idea.
I'm planning to go the route where I take the story and place it in a different setting, but instead of putting a magical story in a world without magic, I'm hoping to do the opposite with Robin Hood. I'm taking a story without magic, and turning it into something more within the realms of the fantasy genre.
It's gonna have magical forests, and elves, and druids, and I want to include a lot of mystacism in the signs that Robin can see to help guide him in defeating the uncrowned king.
It should be fun, it'll definitly be a stand alone book (Oh gods please let it stay a stand alone book) but I'm looking forward to playing with it!

6,8,16!! (Could be for any fandom you like really! Maybe blue lock, stranger things or jjk doesn’t matter💓)
Hello friend!!! Thank u for the fun ask🤗!
I just picked from my overall fandoms rather than a specific one.
6) which ship fans are the most annoying?
Id say m1levens? A lot of them are young fans and ik what that's like (i was really fucking annoying about my notps when i was younger, my longer lasting moots definitly remember that even if it was on my old acc) so it's not like i hate them or anything (and tumblr is much more peaceful once u learn to let stuff wash over u + filter tags and use the block button) but as a sapphic, a lot of them give me the ick, the way they talk about not just Will/byler but even just El (a female character).
8) common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
This one is tricky bc comics are fucking weird when it comes to canon and characterisation but tbh i feel like Damian (Wayne, Robin, dc) has gotten past the "im the REAL son, im the BLOOD son, the ACTUAL heir" bs. Yes, he's still a lil shit and still has that "im better than you" attitude with everyone and esp his siblings but he Has matured and weve seen him refer to the other batkids as siblings on more than one occasion (he's even used their names as aliases when going undercover, which is significant bc the first time he had to do that he picked Bruce as his name and it was a whole thing). So i always get 2nd hand embarrassment + general annoyance when i see socmed fics/fake twt posts that make his url smth like "therealwayneheir" "waynesbloodson" "truewayne", etc. I wanna clarify that i love thos fics/posts, it's just the Damian url part that i always hate with a burning passion😭!
16) you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
(Besides the one i said above)
There's two that i wanna say Really badly but ill keep them to myself bc of x and y reasons. Instead ill say the next one that comes to mind.
Rei (from bnha) as a pure perfect woman and mother. You can acknowledge that she was a victim of domestic abuse while still acknowledging and showing some nuance to the fact that she BURNED her son's face and could have handled Touya's childhood better (not in the sense that it's her fault but in the sense that children come first).

Okay here we go because I have so many characters to ship you with:
Luna Lovegood: you kind of remind me to her, because you are so calm and artistic at the same time
Robin Buckely: I can totally see you fangirling together about books and movies, Steve would definitly ship you (and you fit here better than Vicky)
Peter Parker: you will make him a blush mess and I love that trope
Rapunzel: your creative spirits will get along really well together
💜Anon

I am cursed with the very particular knowledge that if Subnautica ever got dubbed into spanish, Robin would most definitly share a voice actress with any woman in an Adam Sandler movie. Like I can hear it so clearly it hurts me.

maybe it’s just me as an essek stan but it honestly pisses me off that they hold essek to this high standard of suspicion but they’re just. jumping right into this heist not even questioning that it could very well be a trap

Do you have any fanon interpretations that irk you? For example, the idea of “pit madness” is kind of annoying to me and I kind of wish people would stop acting like it’s a canon thing.
Hmmmm off the top of my head, pit madness is definitly one. I fucking hate it when people don't include Cass and Duke as part of the family as well. Like besties you're missing two entire people, what's up with that hmm? 🤨
I also get buttmad when people call Jason the angry robin, or give him a "crime alley" accent. They're all from New Jersey, guys, they all have the same accent.
I dont like it when people act like Dick and Jason weren't brothers or had a bad relationship when Jason was little. Ummm ummm. The "goldie" nickname pisses me off too fuck outta here with that shit.
I also think it's really odd that everyone thinks Tim's parents left him all alone when he was a little kid? He was at boarding schools you guys, he never actually took pictures of batman and robin as far as I can tell. I feel like the boarding schools is inherently funnier too and yet.
Uhhhh that's all that I can think of at the moment but I'm sure theres more lol

Reality check
Fandom: DC Pairing: Damian Wayne x reader Word count: 4.1k Summary: It was a normal day for you when the sidewalk literally opens up and swallows you whole only to spit you back out into a world that you thought only existed in comics before. There you meet a certain Vigilante and things get more complicated very, very quickly... Warning: I think this classifies as angst, not sure though, Definitly almost drowning tho, also multiple instances of unconciousness, lil bit of fluff if you squint, also me trying to be funny and failing Requested by the incredibly, amazing, breathtaking @dudeidkwhattoputformyusername: Hi! I love your work! is it possible for u to do a Damian Wayne x reader one shot, where reader comes from reality and bumps into Damian in Robin form. Then u can develop from there anyway u like! preferably fluff tho. thank u!!!!!!!!!!

Everything was blurry and your head was throbbing like someone was working on it with a jackhammer. The pain was the first thing that you felt during the process of waking up, no other sense quiet activated yet. Next was the realization that your body was shivering uncontrollably and wherever you were laying definitely wasn’t a bed for as far as you remembered, beds weren’t usually wet, cold and stone-hard. Following was your eyesight that finally returned to you, alongside with your smell and hearing, and as if they were high-school bullies who were teaming up against the local geek in a 90’s sitcom, they all came crashing up upon you like a train. Now theoretically seen, you were able to see, hear and smell again, but practically seen, asking you to do either of the three was like asking someone to find a needle in a needlestack, or a single straw of hay in a haystack. It was just too much, definite sensory overload. A few minutes you couldn’t do anything but lay there, shivering and cold and miserable, before slowly your brain started to work through all the input and sort through it until you were able to comprehend it. The first thing you noticed was the smell. It wasn’t a very pleasant one, it smelled like you fish, water and something rotten and if you had any more control over your body you probably would have thrown up. The sounds that you could hear now put the smells a little bit more into perspective. What sounded like screams and the end of the world before was now identifiable as the screeching of seagulls, the honking of boats and the soft crashing of waves. So you were near a harbor or port? The last puzzle piece was the view you got when you opened your eyes. The cold, wet, stone-hard ‘not-bed’ that you had been lying on was in fact a concrete jetty. Only a few feet away from you was the cold dark sea and above you was the night sky. How long have you been lying here? What happened? How did you get there? As you were staring up into the sky something about it made you uneasy, the way the stars were shining, the darkness of the universe, the fullness of the moon- Wait, wasn’t it a new moon just a few days ago? You sat up suddenly, immediately regretting it when the pain shook through your head again, re-starting the throbbin at 100%, and - after you could open your eyes again - looked down at your body. You were wearing a soaked through sweater that you had bought a few days prior and just as soaked through jeans and socks, your shoes nowhere in sight. The sea was restless and splashed against the sides of the jetty, dops landing on your sleeves and face. For some reason, the sensation of the liquid against your skin brought forth a flashback that completely blinded you. It was like you were watching from above as you relieved the last thing you remembered, how you had been going home after your part-time job at the library when the floor had literally peeled open below you and you fell into a cold nothingless, only for water to come crashing down at you from all sides. When you finally realized that you were not on the sidewalk a few blocks away from your home anymore, but in raging water, somewhere below the surface you were already only seconds away from drowning. With all the power you could muster and adrenaline rushing through your veins you managed to fight your way upwards and upwards until your hand finally broke through the water’s surface. The breath that you took when you made it up completely must have been the best and somehow worst gulp of air you had ever taken in. The adrenaline was ebbing off and the exhaustion made its way through all your muscles, but when you saw the lights in the distance you managed to keep on going until you had managed to pull yourself up a concrete jetty where you finally blacked out. Your mind made its way back into your body and you grasped the situation, even though believing it still wasn’t the easiest task. I mean the earth quite literally swallowing you up? That doesn't sound reasonable. And yet, it was the thing you remembered so you would have to live with that truth until someone could prove you otherwise. More and more questions started to swirl through your mind - an unreasonable amount of them quite honestly - but you knew you had to take things one step at a time. Okay, what did you know? You were in an unknown location so there was no new there, but your former question of ‘how long have you been there’ was now answered. Given the state of your clothes and the fact that it was still deep, dark night you couldn’t have been unconscious for long. But that didn’t help you much - you were still sitting there freezing cold and soaked with no idea where you actually were. What would you do usually when you were lost? Phone, ah, right. You patted over your pockets and actually found it, only to be very unsurprised when it only gave you a black void to stare into. Sadly you didn’t have a bag of rice to put it into in the other pocket, instead only a set of keys that you didn’t recognize along with something that looked like a keychain in form of a piece of polished wood with the letters D and (Your first initial) with a plus in between engraved into it. “Great, I can open some doors now, too bad I don’t know which,” you spoke aloud to yourself, only for the worlds to come out stuttered thanks to your teeth that were shaking just as much as the rest of you. You stuffed the keys and the broken phone back into your pockets and managed to pull yourself up and stand, even though all your muscles were screaming in despair. The thing you really wanted to do was lie back down and fall asleep again, wait for the sun to rise and dry your clothes, but you knew that with the coldness and the water all around you, you’d probably be dead or at least deadly sick by morning, so you had to find shelter, warmth and - maybe most importantly - answers. With slow, little steps you walked down the jetty, towards the buildings that looked unoccupied at that time of day, with an unknown city stretching out behind it that promised life and warmth. For what felt like hours, but was probably just minutes, you managed to walk a few feet until you were a safe distance away from the water and near a bench that must have been put there for people who wanted to watch the water or have a break from work or similar things. It looked at you so invitingly, so comfortably, so perfect. Deep inside you knew that you should probably not sit down, even if you told yourself it would be just for a few minutes, but your exhaustion took over and you sunk down onto it, falling to the side and rolling as good as it was possible together into a little roll. You’d take a nap, just a quick one, only a few minutes, then you’d get up with new energy and find the warmth you were looking for. The longer you sat there the heavier your eyelids got until you couldn’t take it anymore and the darkness enveloped you into its safety again.
The next time you woke up, things weren’t so bad anymore, it wasn’t all that blurry and the throbbing had dialed down a bit, but your body was shaking worse than before. In fact, it was shaking so bad that your shoulder thumbed against the backrest of the bench before being pulled forward again and repeating the circle, the only weird thing was that it was just your shoulder. And there was this weird pressure around it. Wait! You weren’t shaking worse, someone else was shaking you as if they were trying to wake you up. You peeled your eyes completely opened and looked into white voids surrounded by black and like your eyes were the camera of a 2000’ kids-camera they slowly zoomed out and revealed the white voids to be the eye-parts of a mask sitting on the face of a masked (duh) boy who was wearing a very, very colorful and bright outfit. It seemed familiar and the gears in your head started turning. “Habibti, you’re okay,” the boy said in a relieved tone and while he helped you sit up you mustered him with a confused look. “That’s not my name, it’s Y/N.” The way his mask contorted gave off a sense of confusion that mirrored yours, just with a little bit more worry in it, but before he could say anything else you motioned to his outfit. “What is it with the outfit? It isn’t Halloween yet, is it?” “You don’t recognize me?” he asked you and the tone of voice he used almost made you feel sorry for him, but given that you had no idea what he was talking about you would probably be able to cope. “No, sorry…” you started before the gears finally fell into place and you recognized it, “Oh, wait, I think I do, you’re playing Batman’s sidekick right? I think it was Robin. That’s so cool, I myself was always more of a Marvel fan - you know with Black Widow and all that - but both are super valid so cool hobby dude. It looks pretty rad too.” Even with the mask you could see the complete bedazzlement in his face and you wondered if your weird world-swallowing-experience had magically changed the language you spoke from English to Mandarine. “What- What do you mean?” “You’re Cosplaying right? Dressing up as a Comic Character?” you tried to explain and you could feel a slight anger building up at how stupid he made you feel without even being able to see his eyes. “I’m not Cosplaying a comic character?” he said in a questioning manner. “Yes, you are. You’re wearing the outfit and everything, like the guy in the Comics who works with Batman. I think his name was Richard or something, but you should know better, you’re cosplaying him after all,” you tried to explain yet again, seriously questioning your sanity. Now he really didn’t need the mask to hide the fact that he was seriously triggered by what you had said - even though you weren’t quite sure why. Had Robin been cancelled over twitter while you were unconscious? “I think it’d be better if I bring you to safety and get you checked out,” he averted the topic of the conversation and started to position his hands like he wanted to pick you up, but you put a stop to it when you pressed him away. “Listen, I appreciate the help, but I’ll definitely not be going with a complete stranger in a comic costume, so if you could just give me your phone so that I can call my parents or my friends that’d be great.” For a few seconds he just sat there straight, as if unsure of the best course of action, before he sight and pulled a phone out, unlocking it and handing it to you. Your fingers hovered over the keyboard as you thought about who to call, thankful that your mum had made you learn her number by heart, but when you went to dial it your whole body stopped working, like there was a physical restriction keeping you from typing. Suddenly you realized it. You didn’t know the number - you knew you should, that you had been using it for years upon years and that you definitely should know it - and your eyes grew wide. You scavenged through your head searching for more numbers, but then you realized another thing. There were none. How was that possible? You didn’t even know the area code from where you lived. “I- I don’t- what?” you looked up at the boy with tearful eyes, the reality of the situation just too much for you. “It’s okay, I’m sure it will come back to you,” he tried to sooth you, but you were too frustrated and sad to be happy about soothing from some creepy geek. “Would you please finally tell me why you’re in costume?” you asked exasperated and moved further away from him. “I-” The answer of the boy was cut short when a ‘whooshing’ sound echoed around the area and a booming voice called out: “Robin”. The boy shot you another look before shouting back. “I’m here, I’ve-” he obviously wanted to add something, but he cut himself off this time and just looked at you. A man in a black, leather suit with a black cowl over his face that you noticed to be definitely inspired by Batman and very well done came rushing towards you. Again, you couldn’t see his eyes, but you recognized the same worried look that the boy already had. “Oh no, not another one,” you sighed and pushed your hair back, “Is there some kind of Comic Convention here? Or is this a weird sexual thing?” Now the man looked at the boy even more confused, and the boy just shrugged, but instead of answering you, he brought his hand up to where his ear was under the cowl and spoke to himself: “I’ve found Robin, he’s found her, we’re going to come back now.” If it had only been the first and last part of that sentence you would have made a joke about them being into LRPG or something, but the ‘her’ part scared you for some reason. You stood up and backed away, happy that the boy didn’t keep the grip on even though his eyes were following your every move. “This was fun and all, but I’m still soaked and really cold, and I had a nice swim earlier which I want to calm down from again, so I think I’ll just go back home now, call myself a cab or something,” you turned around, more than ready to strain your muscles yet again with running away, but it never got to that point, because a second later you were ripped up from the ground and sizzled through the air. It was so surprising that you didn’t even manage to scream before you found yourself with hard ground under your feet again. You looked up at what had pulled you through the skies and found the boys face yet again and - may it have been from the scare of everything finally becoming to much - the last thing you could say before you blacked out for the third time that night was: “That’s some on point cosplay dude.”
The soft sheets of your bed gave you a sense of relief as you woke up from that weird ass dream that you were having. You were unsure about why exactly your unconsciousness was making you see these things, but you made a mental note about checking the dream meaning of getting swallowed by the sidewalk later on. For now all you wanted was to go have some breakfast and call your mom to tell her about that dream. So you opened your eyes and threw the blanket back only to be surprised by the ceiling that was definitely not yours. There was a sound beside you and you looked over to see a boy about your age, black hair standing up from his head a little spiky and green eyes focused entirely on you. “Oh for fuck’s sake,” you cursed and moved as far away from the boy as possible, “Who are you?!” “What do you remember?” the boy asked you, completely ignoring your question. Your eyes flew to the door that was right behind him and you found that there was no way for you to get to it without having to overthrow the boy - but by the looks of him he’d knock you out easily. “I was on my way home from my job when the fucking ground opened up, swallowed me, thrw me back up into the ocean and then I met two werid ass cosplayers before I woke up here.” “You still think we’re cosplayers?” “We?” “Yes,” he just nodded with complete ease. “Well, I gotta admit that flying thing was pretty rad. What was that? Are you actors and you’re making a movie? Because if so then I’m sorry for bursting onto the shooting site.” “We’re not making a movie,” he stated, still completely chilled, even though there was something else lying under it. “What then? You telling me you’re actually Robin? Because if so I’m not the only one who needs to have her head checked out,” you scoffed and rolled your eyes, arms crossing in front of your chest. The boy just mirrored your look, completely stern and serious. “You’re not serious, are you?” you couldn’t help but let out an unbelieving chuckle. He kept silent and just observed you. “You fucking are, oh my gosh.” “How can I prove it to you?” he asked, still so incredibly serious that you felt like you were a clown walking in on a job interview. “Oh, I don’t know. Call Flash, Superman and the easter bunny over so we can have tea with the tooth fairy,” you answered ironically and made a ‘cray-cray’ gesture with your hand going in circles beside your temple, but instead of being offended by your comment, he just pulled out his phone - the same phone you had tried to use earlier you noted. “What are you doing?” you asked, but he just held his hand up to sush you and raised the phone to his ear. “Hello, it’s Damian Wayne,” he introduced himself to the other person -  and you noted that he was not a ‘Richard’ after all, “Yes, could you do me a favor? Could you come to the Manor real quick? Yes, yes I know, no it’s not an emergency. The suit would be great, yes. See you in a bit. You opened your mouth again when he hung up to ask who he called over, but he kept his hand up and motioned to you to wait, while he opened up the window, even though it was still cold out. A gust of wind filled the room and suddenly there was another boy standing besides the original boy - Damian as he had introduced himself - who was wearing a cape, a shirt with a logo that was definitely Supermans and ripped jeans. “H-How the fuck did he just? Was he here this whole time? What? How?” you stuttered and looked between Damian and the other boy who looked at you even more confused than you felt, but Damian waved him off and motioned for him to leave, which he promptly did. The new boy looked at Damian with question marks in his eyes, but he just waved him off. “You believe me now?” he asked, directed towards you and you had to admit it was pretty convincing. “But how? I’m in a comic?” “Y/N, this isn’t a comic, this is reality,” Damian told you with a soft voice, but your eyes just widened and you tried to move back even further. “How do you know my name?” “In your left pocket there is a set of keys and keychains. One of these keychains is a piece of wood with two letters engraved. A D and a (Your first initial), am I right?” Your heart stopped for a second and you patted the pocket where that exact thing was still lying. “H-How do you know my name?” “What do you remember about your life, about how you ended up in the water?” he avoided the question like a pro and you decided to play along, just in hope he’d answer your question sooner or later. “I was born the daughter of Y/Parents/N in Y/H/T. I grew up normally and went to school, nothing special, got a job on the side and when I went home yesterday the sidewalk started to open up like there was an earthquake and I was suddenly in the water, I told you about that part already.” “And you have never met me in your life?” he asked and sounded almost disappointed. “No, an hour ago I thought you didn’t exist outside of paper, the internet and movies,” you huffed and tried to figure out what his endgame was with this, when he pulled his phone out again and tapped on it for a bit before shoving it in your direction. “How do you explain this then?” You moved forwards with caution until you could see the screen and your breath stopped. It was a picture of you. Of Damian and you to be precise. The two of you were sitting on a bench, laughing and smiling and obviously happy, a cute dog on the ground between the two of you where something else drew your attention. In the photograph your left hand was intertwined with his right one. “W-What is this? Some sick kind of joke?” “You really don’t remember? Not at all?” he asked flabbergasted. “Remember what? What is going on here?” you almost shouted, the frustration becoming just a little bit too much, “Please just give me some explanation, please.” “You’re Y/N Y/L/N, you really are the daughter of Y/Parents/N, but you didn’t grow up in Y/H/T, you grew up here in Gotham. You went to Gotham academy, where the two of us met and...became friends. You found out about me being Robin and my father being Batman rather quickly too,” Damian explained and even though it didn’t match up even slightly with what you remembered, it felt weirdly accurate. You went to the bed again and sucked down onto it, before thinking back to the picture and raised an eyebrow at Damian. “Not that I say it’s true what you’re saying, but if we hypothetically say it was, then we weren’t just friends, right? We’re together?” “Yes.” “Okay,” a sigh escaped you and everything was feeling blurry, but you had to continue asking, wanting to know the truth, “Then how do you explain me ending up in the ocean?” “That’s where things get a bit harsher,” Damian sight too, but obviously for other reasons, “Yesterday evening you accompanied me to a party - a family thing - on a yacht and things were going great, but something went wrong. No one had an idea that the weather would shift like that, but a storm came and the yacht was thrown around and you - you were thrown off, I thought you died, I was devastated, but- uhm...well… You remembered that keychain? I gave it to you for our first year anniversary and it may or may not have a tracker in it, so that I could find you in a worst case scenario and if that wasn’t a worst case scenario then I don’t know what is.” For a few minutes silence filled the room as you worked through all of the new information, but the sad look on Damian’s face, the seriousness in his voice, the entire situation in itself? They made it hard to doubt what he was telling you. Your gaze was stuck on your fidgeting hands when you asked the one underlying question. “Why can’t I remember?” “I don’t know, I think you must have hit your head when you fell off and your mind mixed things up - mixed reality into something else and took a few actual things and made them fiction,” Damian gave you his half-assed, definitely not medically appropriate explanation, but you couldn’t blame him for that, you had no idea either. You pulled your legs up and hugged your knees close as you looked at him, really trying to see this supposed boyfriend of yours, but your mind just turned up blank. “What if I’ll never remember? What if that’s the way it’ll be from now on?” “I’m positive that things will turn out fine, we have friends who have the best medical experience you can get, we even have mind readers who could probably help you and if not, we’ll help you make new memories, I’ll help you and I’ll wait for the memories to come back just in case.” “That’s not fair on you though, Right now I’m not the girl you’re with, you shouldn’t have to go through this,” tears were now welling up at your eyes, even though you weren’t completely sure why your emotions were so strong. “I don’t care, I really don’t, because no matter what you remember or don’t, I love you and I really hope you’ll remember that you love me too…”

Recently I saw the thumbnail for Lily's latest video. It's about the comic about Harley and Poison Ivy being gay and doing crime between season 2 and 3 of the Harley's cartoon series. What got my attention was what was written in the descriptions, ''Go fuck yourself, Frank Miller''. I don't know about any drama related to him. It's just seem salty and mean. He is the author of well-known and respected graphic novels and comics such as Batman: Return of the dark knight, Batman Year One, Sin City, 300 or he also worked on the Daredevil series. Sure Lily can write better. Have you heard about her pony porn fanfic or pokemon rape comic ? Meanwhile the video is praising this comic as the best thing ever. I know Lily and whatever the name of her latest victim is don't like the ''edgy'' stuff and much more prefer the fluff and that's fine. But claiming that its the best what almost 90 years of comics has to offer is just wrong. Also it's not that ground breaking. As I said, it's just Harley and Poison Ivy being gay and doing crime, which is almost all they ever do now. What do you think ?
I am actually familiar with Franks later works.
And I'm going to be honest when I say that the Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn comic is probably better then some of the later stuff Frank's done.
Like, don't get me wrong; it's definitly not better the ones you've listed above. But Frank has written Holy Terror. A really racist and uncomfortable book that's just filled to the brim with hate and anger.
He's also written All Star Batman and Robin. A book where Batman kidnaps Dick Grayson, age twelve, after his parents died and tells him to eat a rat.
But that being said, I don't think Lily knows that about Frank Miller. I think she only knows that he wrote a rather well loved, dark Batman story. So her commentary about him is really to try to say:
This gay lesbian comic is way better then all those "edgy" dark Batman stories. So Nyeh!
She's trying to get a reaction out of people. But since I do know about Frank Millers body of work, I'm not bothered.

thinking of a kingdom AU where tim and all the other robins becomes bruce’s concubines. bruce and selina are married but unfortunately selina cant have any children so bruce decides to seek out beautiful omega concubines. he has a type - black haired, blue eyed little boys.
i really only care about tim ships, and I love little brutim babies 🥺🥺🥺🥺.
given the order of them being robins bruce takes dick in as a "concubine" when he sees his parents die while performing. of course adoption isn't really a thing and there's no purpose in bruce taking in a young omega for no reason so he becomes bruce's first concubine and at first its nice but then dick grows older and resentful and he's talked about behind his back for never providing an heir. omegas are limited in what they can do and as a concubine dick definitly has more freedom than your average omega so he pushes to be allowed to explore. so bruce makes him the vassal of his land 'bludhaven'. jason comes soon after as a little omega that tried attacking him and for awhile bruce does love him because jason is such a welcome company after dick has gone and rarely returns. but that changes when jason is killed and bruce briefly rules with an iron fist. occasionally his first concubine and wife yell at him for it, try to get him to snap out of it.
but they just don't understand because jason was...his pup.
but then the son of one of the wealthy merchant families comes along. and he's so small but so brave and even though he stands so tall and dignified his scent belies his fear as bruce approaches him. and...
at first bruce wasn't going to make him a concubine. at first it was about having someone offer to...to listen to him. and the omega is so young and not yet fully developed and they cannot possibly think this is an attempt at seduction, having bruce weep into their little breasts while he mourns a pup the rest of his kingdom believed was just another common whore because they made judgements on jason based on where he was born and that clearly he was a whore and bruce's grief wasn't real.
both selina and dick had believed that jason was a genuine concubine it hadn't occurred to them that maybe he was just like dick.
tim is the only one bruce can get comfort from, the only one who lets him tremble and shake and stop being the mountain of an alpha he is.
tim is the first of bruce's concubines that he honestly fucks. making love to tim and being able to be held and kissed by someone who witnessed him at his lowest is healing. when tim gets pregnant all the officials are ecstatic because finally there will be an heir regardless of the barren omega bruce had insisted on wedding.
a pregnancy of one of the concubines means a celebration for all of them. dick doesn't need to be invited back and instead returns of his own accord before the invitation can be sent out. dick is a it unsure about tim but quickly warms up to him especially since he is a pregnant omega and all omegas tend to dote on pupped omegas.
bruce is careful with him, tim is still such a small omega and bruce does his best to make sure he and his pup are comfortable.
after tim is confirmed to be with pup by the physician bruce doesn't cry. his ache and pain for jason still return but for months he doesn't cry. until the birth of his and tim's pup and bruce cries while holding the small, pink little baby alpha that keeps screaming in distress as bruce shrouds him in a wolf fur he hunted for his pup's arrival.
damian is a healthy little pup that turns so pudgy and round from his days of remaining latched to his mother's tit.
and bruce...cries. not from grief or pain like he did before but something else. something...that feels...almost joyous.
for the first time bruce cries from sheer joy.

And I am officially done with being a DC comics fan in any way shape or form. Feels oddly freeing. Like Stockholm syndrome has finally lifted lol. All it took was them doing the thing to my favorite Robin. Tim's fandom and the timsteph tags are definitly going to turn into toxic annoying environments for anyone who doesn't ship him gay now even if DC backtracks or says he's bi at the most.
Here's hoping in 10 years DC either forgot they did this cause they refuse to use tim and the 90s crew or DC has just gone under.
