He Got That Boyish Look That I Like in a Man

written for @satoruoo as part of the Jjk Secret Santa (i hope you like it)

cw: aged up!yuuji. and by extension other characters. suggestive. fluff. mention of my poly!stsg x reader throuple. gojo and geto’s spouse referred to as [t/n] because technically they’re also a reader character and i’m to lazy to give them a name. megumi is a hater. 1.3k words. gojo is a menace but are we really shocked. gojo and geto’s spouse attempts to rizz up reader.

People described yours and Yuuji’s relationship in many different ways.

Nobara was both happy that her two best friends (not that she would ever admit that she considered any of you her best friends) had found love in each other; and jealous that Yuuji had found a significant other before she had.

Megumi was utterly sick of the dumbassery (his words), something about you each being insane enough on your own.

Todo was glad that his brother/ best friend had a significant other but heartbroken because “how are we to talk about Jennifer Lawrence’s butt now?”

Yeah... Todo weirded you out when you first met him. Who yells “What kind of woman is your type?!” when you first meet someone??

Anyway.

You guys had started dating in your first year at Jujutsu High and the past four years that you had been dating were absolutely amazing. Perfect even. Yuuji is an amazing boyfriend. He cooks for you (the meatballs are KILLER), his body temperature is somehow always perfect for cuddling, and the sex is mindblowing.

The first Christmas eve after you graduate, you follow him down the sidewalk, your hands intertwined, heading to have dinner at a restaurant with your old teachers, Fushiguro and Kugisaki. He’s excitedly ranting about the sushi restaurant Gojo-sensei, Geto-sensei, their spouse introduced him to. Admittedly, you’re barely listening, too distrated by the sparkle in his eyes, the bounce in his step, his ever so perfect side profile, and his muscular build accentuated now that hes wearing a fitted t-shirt and jeans instead of his jujutsu high uniform.

Yeah, you’re drooling over your boyfriend. What? It’s not a crime.

“Baby? Baby are you listening? Hello? Earth to y/n?”

Yuuji’s hand waving in front of your face brings you back to reality and you apologise to the boy for ignoring him, albeit not regretting staring at him at all. You grin abashedly as you tell your now pouting boyfriend, “Sorry darling, but really its your fault for looking so sexy and edible.”

His face flushes a warm pink at your words and he pulls you closer by your waist to press a kiss to your hairline. “Say shit like that in public again and we might end up with a problem sweetheart. We wouldn’t want to leave our old teachers hanging now would we?” His voice had dropped to a deep, seductive whisper, sending shivers down your spine.

With his sunshine boy personality, it was easy to forget that Yuuji was inhumanly strong, and a lot less innocent than he appeared on the surface.

The proximity of his face to yours was causing your heart to pound ferociously in your chest, blood rushing to your face, and maybe somewhere else too. His golden eyes shone with mischief and lust, flicking between your eyes and mouth. His grip on your waist tightened as he took his lower lip into his mouth and you had to fight the urge to kiss him senseless in the middle of the street.

“Yuu,” you breathed out, pressing a kiss to his jawline. “We should go or we’ll be extremely late and Kugisaki will never let us live it down.”

He lets out a huff and pouts, but starts walking to the restaurant you were supposed to be at nonetheless.

As soon as you guys enter the restaurant, you’re greeted by over enthusiastic yells by Gojo accompanied by his arms waving in the air to catch your attention.

T/n rises from the their chair and pulls you into an aggressive hug. You laugh as you hug your favourite teacher back, as they repeatedly tell you how pretty you look.

“Sensei, are you trying to steal my girlfriend from me?” Yuuji joked, as he received affectionate but mildly aggressive headpats from Gojo, all while Geto laughed in his seat. All the while, Megumi and Nobara ignored your existence.

“Yeah actually i am. These two aren’t cutting it anymore,” T/n laughs, gesturing to Gojo and Geto, who make gasps of mock offense.

“Thats not what you said last ni-“

Gojo is cut off by his black haired husband getting up and slapping his hand over his mouth. “Not in front of our students, you fool,” he hisses.

You head off to greet Nobara and Megumi as Yuuji chats with your teachers about his upcoming mission.

Megumi looks up disinterestedly from the book he’s reading as you approach. “Hey Thing 1,” he greets. Before you can give him a response to the blatant disrespect, Nobara shoves a Santa cap on your head.

“HO! HO! HO!” you immediately say obnoxiously, taking special care to say it right next to Megumi’s ear. He glares at your triumphant expression and mouths a silent ‘fuck you’.

Sticking your tongue out at him, you slide into the seat next to Yuuji and rest your head on his shoulder. He turns his head, momentarily distracted from the conversation he was having, and smiles at you. That beautiful dazzling smile that leaves you wonderstruck everytime you see it. He wraps an arm around your waist and turns back to his conversation with Geto.

He picks up his drink, condensation around the cold glass, and brings it to his lips. After four years of being together you realise just how attractive you find Yuuji’s hands and arms. They’re muscular and just the right amount of veiny. You’ve always known his hands were attractive, but something about the dim lighting of the restaurant, soft music playing in the background and being pressed against his side that makes you incredibly hyper aware of everything about him.

The rest of the evening passes by with Yuuji hands constantly resting on you, eliciting mock disgusted glares from Megumi, fake retching sounds from Nobara and fond looks from your teachers, who saw their relationship in their younger years in you.

When everyone gets ready to leave, T/n insists on driving “the kids” home. When your teachers’ car pulls up to your apartment complex, you and your boyfriend thank them for the ride and make the way up to your place.

The elevator ride up to your floor is shrouded in comfortable silence, Yuuji’s arms wrapped around your waist from behind, his face tucked into the crook of your neck.

You enter your house a little after midnight, absolutely wiped from the night you had. As fun as it was, keeping up with Gojo and Kugisaki’s energy at the same time could be pretty exhausting.

The small Christmas tree you and Yuuji set up a week ago twinkles away in the corner of the living room as you slip your shoes off. The moment you straighten up after putting away your shoes, Yuuji pulls you into a crushing hug.

“You look so beautiful tonight,” he whispers. “You look beautiful everyday but you looked extra beautiful tonight. You’re the only Christmas gift I need baby,” he continues, all sweet and perfect and you want to cry and kiss his face off.

“Well then, its a pity I bought you the collector’s edition of the Human Earthworm movies,” you grin.

He gasps and before he has a chance to respond, you kiss him.

He responds with just as much enthusiasm, kissing you lovingly, even going as far as to lean you back into a dip.

You laugh contently as you break apart and straighten up, still pressed into his body.

“I love you so much, Yuu.”

“I love you too baby.”

He scoops you up bridal style and carrying you to the bathroom, both of you giggling like middle schoolers. You wash your faces and finish your night routine, smiling at each other and bumping hips.

You settle into the covers with Yuuji pressed against you, your face resting against his chest. His comforting presence was lulling you to sleep. He had always been such a safe space for you, holding you through countless stressful breakdowns.

The last thing you hear before you black out is a soft “Merry Christmas sweetheart, I love you,” followed by a gentle kiss on the crown of your head.

Leland HCs, because he died in Chapter Four

My heart has been broken by fanfiction countless times with Leland dying omg. (You know who you are) Anyways so I decided to write some Leland Golden boy McKinney HCs!!! They're mostly for my comfort and my inexplicable thoughts. Went from Leland hater to Leland brainrot real fast. Thank you, fanfiction authors! You're a gift to the planet <3 Not used to writing for characters that aren't my ocs, and these are purely my own comfort hcs, so hopefully you guys don't mind my little contribution to the fandom. I might post other hcs if people want? idk Side note: These are also kind of somewhere between "soft boyfriend" and "part time group dad" energy, interpret these how you want. :D

He's not big on slushies originally. Probably not a big fan of cold things generally with a few exceptions of course, but he can't resist seeing you so excited to try the new flavour and wanting to drag him along. (At the time, probably blue raspberry. It came out in '74!) And of course, he'll go with you. You manage to persuade him to try it. He winds up enjoying them quite a lot. Blue raspberry is his favourite from then on, though you can never quite tell if it's the flavour that he likes or the fact that you introduced it to him.

He doesn't like hot custard. Can't explain that one, it's just a thought, honestly. But he'd rather die than eat hot custard, he just doesn't like it lmao

He absolutely has a thing for you wearing his shirts or if he has a jacket on, his jacket at the time. Especially when it's colder out, and he knows he can help you warm up. He protects his friends from literal cannibals in game, so why not from the elements too? And to build on this, I also HC he doesn't really like leather jackets because of his arms. They're always tight for his shoulders. But he still wears them sometimes for style points, you know what I'm saying? (When I say "a thing" here it means his heart is swelling and he can't stop smiling. Proud dad, maybe happy boyfriend, I dunno I'm just here for happy and alive boy Leland)

He gives the best hugs out of the whole group, for sure. He's always warm to the touch, even in winter, it's like he's literally got a built in heater or something. Plus, look at him. He is literally built for hugs. Wrestle hugs? Are those a thing? They are now I said so He'd definitely have anyone he cuddles with feel safe when he holds them. (He also prefers to be hugged around the waist than higher up his body.)

If you ever go out to watch a movie with him, you're absolutely leaving there laughing. Leland is a master of comedic timing and stupid comments. He'll find a way to spin any movie to be a comedy. Horror, Romance, anything. He'll make a terrible joke, and it'll be funny. Maybe less because of the actual comedic value, more in how he delivers his jokes, or how he ends up laughing halfway through them and ends up laughing also. His laugh is infectious.

Leland gives me dad joke energy. I will not elaborate.

He is literally just such a ray of sunshine. He's a bit dim-witted at times (it's ok bb me too <3) but he makes up for it in how pure he generally is. He's a good shoulder to cry on, especially while hugging him (literally speaking as well as emotional things- sorry, I'll shut up about his arms now). He might not be 100% certain how to comfort you most of the time, but he's trying his best.

One thing I can conform for an absolute certain is that he has the most banging record collection anybody has ever known. Man has brilliant taste in music. Queen, ABBA, that whole vibe is his favourite to listen to. He has a collection of vinyls he tells nobody about. You're probably the first to know, likely from him knowing the words to things like Killer Queen especially.

His favourite song, however, is definitely Hooked on a Feeling. It's just... I can't explain it. He'd dad dance to this, for sure. He's just a little silly goofy boy <3333

If you're the type of person that sees fluffy and/or soft hair and immediately wants to braid a bit of it, he will gladly let you do so. He'll probably have to lean down for it to be more comfortable for you. He doesn't care if you're a bit messy or not used to braiding hair properly, he'll happily keep it in for a day at least. He has the SOFTEST hair anybody has ever known, he's just a very fluffy boy and I love him.

In the winter, if you forget to bring gloves or whatnot, he'll hold your hands to warm them up. Referring back to the little portable heater energy thingy we've got going for him. Also, doesn't matter who you are his hands are always bigger than yours even if it's very slightly.

nOw, let’s talk about my favourite fanon and canon relationships from the Golden Trio era.

First up, is Hinny. Bi panic. Hinny is definitely one of the best heterosexual relationships in the entire franchise. Although, I feel like before the sixth book, there wasn’t really much of a build up, besides her being his best friend’s brother, and his friend, there wasn’t much of a build up when it came to their relationship. I think Joanne should’ve made more build up to Hinny potentially turning into a real relationship in the end, because it was basically only Ginny being madly in love with Harry, and him not returning these feelings whatsoever. But when it came to the sixth book and seventh book, omg, I can’t express my love for them. The way Harry cared, and thought about Ginny in those two books was a HUGE step from the other books. Harry becomes a my poet when it comes to Ginny, “Blissful oblivion and better than fire whisky. Honestly, they loved each other so much, and I love their relationship, and I can’t explain why.

Next, is MY LOVES, Dean and Seamus. At this point, they are 100% lovers. I absolutely their relationship in the movies and in the books. I feel like in the movies, the two were never seen without the other, and I haven’t read the books in a while, so I don’t remember anything from before the fourth book. But I love everything about it. I love their personalities. I love how they supported each other, and never really went COMPLETELY against each other. I love the idea of being each other’s closest friends, and then realising that they’re in love with each other. I love it. I love it. I love it. I just genuinely love the idea of best friends to lovers, so much, if you haven’t noticed. speaking of these two, i also really like lavender and parvarti. they’re soulmates 100%.

i adore the idea of blaise and neville, because i don’t think there was ever a really bad moment with them, two. but then again, there was never really a time in the books at all where they talked, but obviously they crossed each other’s paths. and i know they probably didn’t like each other all that much, canonically. but are we really going to listen to joanne’s homophobic ass anyway. anywho, i think they’re both introverts, but blaise is very “posh” kind of guy. he’s definitely a blood supremacist. he’s the type to always act taught, but when it comes to neville, those awkward, cute, obsessed with herbology type of guy, he melts, and absolutely adores him. he’s over-protective of neville, and loves to stand up for him when it comes to the other Slytherins bullying him. neville is so grateful to have blaise in his life, and loves him, too.

i like romione. i love romione. i don’t really give a shit what people have to say, and i don’t want to hear a word from ron haters, or harmione stans. this ship is perfect. if you’ve read the books, you would know how much the two care for each other, and how much they love each other. ron ALWAYS stood up for hermione when other people would say stuff about her, including snape and draco. he always got jealous when he saw her with other guys, and obviously he wanted to be the one who was with her. (viktor was a creep btw). and hermione clearly liked ron, too. she was jealous when he would simp over fleur, and when he got with lavender, which he only did to prove ginny wrong, or make her jealous. she had completely the wrong approach when it came to how she treated lavender, but you could tell the two were great together, and deserved each other.

i ADORE astoria and draco’s relationship. i LOVE it. i like how astoria is this really kind woman, who is a pure blood Slytherin, herself, but doesn’t give a shit about it. she thinks of everyone as equals, and although draco didn’t agree with any of this before, he changed his whole beliefs, and became a much better man for her. they were definitely soulmates. i genuinely hate draco, but i’m so glad he found his way to astoria, because he did change, for the better, and you’d think draco malfoy would never love someone else more than he loves himself, but he was willing to end his whole bloodline to keep her healthy, and he was most likely a great father to scorpius.

i also love tonks and fleur but MY WHOLE HEART belongs to fleur and bill’s relationship. honestly, they are everything. they were so so great together, and despite their 5 year age different (i think), they are a very very great pairing. i think, fleur and bill love each other both so so much, and i think you can see that in the books, and a little in the movies. fleur really is in love with bill, and was from the moment she saw him. i’m saying this again, they - are - everything. and continued to love him even when he had those horrible scars all over his face, and really loved that it was real love, and not just lust. i’m so glad in the end, their families got along, and bill and fleur got to be happy together, because that’s exactly what they deserve.

OK the other ships are ALRIGHT, but LADIES - AND - GENTLEMEN - AND NON BINARY’S, PERCIEVER, percy and oliver. they are PERFECTION. absolute perfect together, perfect pairing. EVER. percy is obviously, as we know and seen, is this really uptight, asshole about his studies type of guy, and cares about them a lot. to him, it would to worry about anything else other than that. i expect he’s a complete clean freak, and is completely obsessed with keeping order around their dormitory. but then there’s oliver, uptight about quidditch, and is completely obsessed, it would be a crime to be obsessed with quidditch. percy and oliver are not complete opposites, because of their personalities, but are freaks about completely different things. i imagine oliver would have a messy room, but wouldn’t care because “he can’t be late for Quidditch practice” and percy would tell him “there’s more important things than quidditch”. however weird this is, they become besties, and end up falling in love with each other.

i’m a ENTP Capricorn, and I really enjoy tease others people when I have free time. I like cooking sometimes and drawing. I’m a type of friend that can like scare others and being childish, and a lot of people in my school really hates me because of that, but I never cared about them. If you have haters, is because they are jealous with your talents and dedication in work.

I like play RPG games like genshin, but i like gamble with my family or friends sometimes, I can say that is funny, specially when you see their reactions after losing a match.

I feel lonely a lot of times, but I always tell myself to keep positive, one day I will find someone that will understand me.

Types of reactions to new music videos.

Everytime a new mv releases its all of our buddies hyping up and prepping up to tune to it. It may be our favourite artist or any new one or not, we are always eager to listen the new releases. But it's after the release, when the balloon bursts allowing a set of different reactions to the same content. So let's try to list out these types of reactions to a new mv.

1. Stans: These are crazy fans who lose their mind on the release of a new mv of their faves. They always keep up with their music and they are one of the firsts to always buy their albums. They don't just listen to their songs, they live it. They mediate to each lyric and don't just ever dare to interrupt them. When they listen to music, they just sink into it and if you dare to disturb them then they will drown you to death. Their calls are obvious on your phone informing you about new releases. They publicize and promote their artists more than the artists themselves. And after the very day, the only song you hear them sing or play in car, at party , or anywhere is only the new one. They are freaking dedicated and they are pure Stans.

2. Neutrals or Random scrollers: These are not stans or haters. They are just random people scrolling randomly through videos to not be bored. Then they find the new thing that they don't disapprove but not appreciate either. They just want stuff to watch and not sit idlely . Their reaction is even neutral. Firstly they don't immerse into the video at once only. It takes them a few times to watch and realise the content. Then that's when they react after wards. So their first reaction is always neutral. They don't like the video or dislike it. Either they become a Stan or a hater that happens later . They are even the ones who most probably don't know who they are watching. They are the ones who Google about what they watched to realise the existence of different famous people aka celebrities.

3. Haters: They are the ones to check out the videos just to write hate comments. They don't like the artist, they arenot excited about their music . Why do they even check out the videos? This is a very unpleasant category wher people just wanna write mean things. These guys need to understand that when you hate someone , you are supposed to stay away and avoid them, not to prickle them. But they are just mean peoe who love to spread hate and betrayal. You may not support them but it's not like you should discourage them. You maybe critic but not an Enemy.

4. Commenters:They are the ones who have got no concern with the artist, the topic , the issue or anything. All they have to do is believe be that their opinion is of utter importance for all the vloggers or every being on the earth. They watch the video to extend their unwanted opinions about the thing. No one wants to hear in their critique, no one gives a shit about they think, no one is interested at all. There are the ones who just want to object the background, tunes , the costume or everything. They point out the minute details for freaking vain. No one's working out the problems they pinpointed. They can point out the things that arenot even a problem at all. Their addiction or obsession for commentary can go beyond all extends. Because they won't just shut up. Their mouth is never close, they are just never tired. They can obviously be irritating at times because unnecessary advices are very unwelcomed and unrecieved.

5. Sadist: This is not so common type of people seen. They are usually the ones who are hypersensitive and most cliché reason is they broke up and are way more than just upset. Their behaviour is understandable to a certain extend. But the same sadist reaction to every song is definitely awkward. They won't hesitate to cry even on party peppy singles. Like yeah, you guys have broke up but your obsession with breakup is an headache. Every love, party , rap, rock, classic even explicit songs can even make them tear up. They believe to remember the things with their past love what the song says. This is surely the most immature category and sometimes too melodramatic.

6. Detached: This is a type which may not be counted as a type either. Because their presence is same as their absence. These are not humans , they have no emotions and no expressions. You can play a pop, rock, jazz, classic, rap or anything but they'd continue to remain cold as they always are . But they believe their best reaction is that detached one only. They are the worst person to ask for advices when it comes to songs because they hardly know any. Not a single hair on their skin moves when there's even Beyonce's playing. Either they are not humans or they are surely not humans.

The Spare - Chapter 12

Chapter 12

Out of precaution, Regulus decided to sneak into Malfoy Manor through the kitchen window. He scoffed at the thought that everyone always assumed he was a model son. Sure, he kept his head down, all appearances and he was once very eager to please his parents but that didn't mean he hadn't a rebellious streak.

Sirius often got caught trying to sneak out the house... through the back door... too obvious. Idiot. But he learned over time. Regulus, on the other hand, learned to pick locks and sneak out of windows quiet early on. It was much stealthier and more unsuspected from the obedient, quiet kid.

Around 16, Regulus did this very often, trying to live a little under the thumb of his parents and while pretending not to. Sirius was bold, brave and often getting shit for it. Regulus was collected and sneaky. His escapades went unnoticed. It was all about the right balance. He asked to go out often enough to be considered normal. His parents said no more often than not and Regulus just had to ask for events he was not really interested in. When they said no, he would obediently stay at home and just sneak out to the stuff he actually wanted to go to. Unsuspecting.

He went to several high school parties and concerts, albeit hating crowds, because that was what teenagers did right? What they enjoyed. Regulus did not enjoy the drinking, the stuffed rooms and the gross drunk make-out sessions. Maybe he was born as snarky old man, always been more of a Waldorf, in need for his Statler.

Once in his room, Regulus showered, changed and was just in time for Lucius to take him to practice.

The mood in locker the locker room was disgustingly cheerful. Several Death eaters were reciting their favourite slurs against Sirius and all the “faggots”, how they called queers, in general, accompanied by hollering, whistling and applause.

Regulus thought of Sirius, of Ben and Mateo, how kind and loving they treated him, and it took all his badly patched up self-control to keep his expression blank and polite. This is not right.

He did not return to the shire this evening. Instead, he spent a long time running in the neighbourhood of the Malfoys, trying to sort through the last days.

When he collapsed exhausted into bed this evening, he came to the conclusion that there was actually no way he could get through the mess in his very own… The psychologist-thing was meant as a joke at Thanksgiving, Black…

The next evening, he nervously rang the bell besides the name tag Hayes/Alves, not knowing whether someone is even at home but he was let into the building and a moment later he found himself unable to knock on the door to their flat. These people owed him noting, why would they even let him in again after he practically stormed out yesterday?

The door was yanked open anyway and a relieved looking Mateo pulled him inside. “There you are, we were worried!”

“What? Why?”

“You were rather upset when you bolted yesterday” Jo provided from the kitchen, a spoon in her mouth and an almost empty can of ice cream in her hands.

“Hey, there you are!” Ben chimed happily, stepping out of the bathroom in his pyjamas and towelling his hair.

“Are you guys mad?” Regulus blurted suddenly, “You don’t know me, I stormed out yesterday after all you have done like an ungrateful asshole and you are actually happy that I'm back?”

“Sure.” All three answered as one, baffling him completely.

“Why?” He was almost desperate, “You have absolutely no gain from me being here... I am just a rookie so no one will buy my secrets from you, I am rather rich but you have nothing to properly blackmail me so what do you want?!”

“Are you serious?” Jo asked after a short silence.

“No, that’s my Brother, I am Regulus.” he answered absentmindedly. Ben and Mateo snorted but Jo just looked puzzled.

Regulus looked back, similarly puzzled. “Sirius Black, the famous, freshly outed, Captain of the Gryffindor Lions?”

Still nothing but a furrowed brow... “NHL?”

'Yeah, yeah, heard of it but hold on, your full name is Regulus, like your real name? And your brother is, in fact, named Sirius, that’s not a fake, too?”

“That is your Question? And no, its Sirius Orion and Regulus Arcturus Black, actually.” Jo anything but shrieked, joining the other two hobbits already shaking with mirth by now.  

“Ok, that’s - that’s just bad, I'm sorry” she wheezed after a few minutes.

“I always thought these were aliases… I see that I need to revaluate my bad-name categories.”

“Alors, I call you Josephine from now on?” Regulus was met with a surprisingly deathly glare that sent Ben and Mateo straight into another fit.

A grin started to tuck at the corner of Regulus’ lips but there were still pressing questions.

“Jo, you have no idea of the disaster that went on? You didn’t even check Twitter?”

“Nah, I don’t frequent social media. While I prefer to limit my direct interaction with other people, assholes accumulate there and throw all their bullshit around, guarded by the anonymity of the internet. I think a dentist appointment is less annoying.” The grin tucked again. This weird mixture of slang and hoity-toity wording was just gold.

“But you do watch ice hockey?” He was not sure why that was important for him. Maybe to find out, what she knew about him, maybe because to find out more about her.

“Sometimes yeah. For me you are Reg, the rather giant dude that slept on our couch, that prefers his tea bitter and gross and does not say thank you. The guy with the enjoyable dry humour and good taste in literature that luckily balances his abysmal taste in movies.”

At that Regulus laughed, too. He didn’t know, why exactly but he felt giddy with the idea that these were the first people who wouldn’t define him through hockey and his family.  That although they knew of his profession, here was just Reg, not Regulus Arcturus Black, Son of Orion Black, number 72 of the Snakes. Maybe I can have this, after all.

Is this, what Sirius had with his team, with Remus? Another pang of guilt let the laughter die in his throat, his eyes welled up. Not again…please.

But there was no time to recompose himself. Quickly, he was shoved onto the couch, wrapped in the chicken-blanket and surrounded by these idiots caring for him for some reason he still did not understand.

For the third time, his walls broke. Where there even walls by now? Regulus felt rather leaking with emotions.

But of course, he could not keep it in around them and spilled all his life to the three of them, not in as much detail he told Mateo in the hospital but also not keeping his role of Sirius’ outing to himself. Once all was out, there was a tense silence... of course there was, he just told the gay couple in front of him that he forced his brother out to be tormented by a crowd of imbecile haters on the internet.

Regulus was sure, his little excursion into a happy family ended now. Just as he guessed on the first evening here but instead of scolding and disapproving, cold glares he found himself hugged by Ben, again. He gives good hugs; his brain supplied uselessly.

“It’s a shitty move to out someone Reg, there is nothing to sugar coat.” Ben sighed.

“But what they did with that information and how the people online reacted is not your fault.”

Regulus said nothing, just closed his eyes and buried deeper in the shoulder of Ben, who practically sat on his lap to reach the height for such an embrace.

“But your feelings were hurt, too at that time and a lot of people used you. Fuck your family. You know what, I’m your mom now!”

Regulus just continued crying silently into Ben’s Shoulder, Mateo’s hand rubbing slowly over his back, chuckling at Ben’s statement.

“Mother hen.”

This showed what he had suspected for a while now, proof that his parents were not just a little strict. That something in his childhood went horribly wrong and he has no idea what to do with that information except crying it out.

When he calmed down a bit, Ben and Mateo got up to make some tea and finish dinner while quietly talking in Portuguese. So, it was something he was not meant to understand. His stomach knotted uncomfortably.

“Reg?” Jo tried quietly, she had not reacted in any way so far. He had even forgotten that she was still perched on the carpet beside him and somehow, he dreaded what was to come next.

“Hm?”

“Earlier, at the door, as you said that you do not know of what use you are for us as we cannot even blackmail you... you were not joking?” He shook his head, new tears threating to well up. How were there still tears left and what happened to his composure again?

“You really expected us to just care for you as long as we could gain profit?” There was no accusation in her voice just sadness and concern. He shrugged his shoulders; did he think that? No, but this was the only form of interaction he knew, everything always came with a price, an expectation.

The next thing he felt was Jo not practically but literally perched on his lap, straddling his hips, wrapping her arms around him and leaning her cheek against his temple. He knew already that, opposite to her brother, Jo was not the touchy feely type with strangers.

He was not considered a stranger anymore, after a day?

“I don’t know if there is anything one could say to make it better, so I will just keep my mouth shut and hug you until you believe that we like you and care for you. Just like that. As long as it will take.” She wiggled a bit to demonstrate getting comfortable.

There was nothing sexual about the embrace although they were pressed together from shoulders to hips und she just wiggled in his lap. It was completely opposite to the girls that approached him at the parties he sneaked out to. These were eyeing him hungrily, like a trophy. Some of them (very drunk, to their defence) even told him how similar he looked to Sirius… and how sexy they found his brother. He shivered a bit at the memory and gladly went back to reality.

“You might die of old age while waiting.” Regulus lifted his head to check the effect of his attempt in humour on her face but she just tucked his head back, giving a soft huff.

“Nah. 'M convincing but probably need to excuse myself to the bathroom or the fridge in between”

He closed his eyes again, wrapped his arms around her waist and relished in the hug without questioning why this hug felt different, more intimate than Ben’s or Mateo’s.

After an undefinable amount of time, the men came back with plates of Vegetable Quesadillas and Guacamole.

“Comfort Food, my avozinha’s recipe.”, Mateo commented

Instead of answering his question for cutlery, Ben met his eyes, pointedly grabbed a Quesadilla, dipped it in the guacamole and shoved the whole thing in his mouth without breaking eye contact.

Reg snorted with laughter.

Of course, Ben spilled more than just a little on his shirt.

While Ben and Jo were cleaning the dishes and Ben, Mateo came over with a fresh cup of tea.

“Hey” Reg lifted his head. “I’m talking now as your fried -or co-mom, apparently- that just happens to also have studied medicine” he nodded for Mateo to continue.

“You went through a lot. Not just lately. And you struggle to cope.” Alors, the poker face seems to be gone…

“I do not say that you are weak, you are not! But you might want to consider the help of a therapist to sort through your feelings and your past. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of knowing your boundaries and taking care of yourself. I do not want to talk you into this, you need to want that for therapy to help. So, take you time to think about that, if you need. You can always come to us to talk but no one here is a therapist so we can only help you so far. OK? We are not disposing you to a shrink. Our door is open for you but you might want to have different type of help.”

Reg sat the in silence after this speech, hand running through his hair and rubbing his neck.

He had thought about that, more and more serious since Thanksgiving but hearing it and having the confirmation that he was welcome here …a thought formed in his brain, shortly followed by his usual determination.

"I want this to stop. I want to get better." He looked at Mateo and was met with his signature genuine, warm smile.

"You have a team therapist, don't you? It might be the fastest way to an appointment."

Reg grimaced at the thought of Dr. Slughorn. Generally well-meaning but when in doubt always humouring Riddle.

"I wouldn't trust him with taking the trash out." Regs grimace it met with a raised eyebrow.

"Do you want me to help you find someone else?" Mateo asked carefully and after a relieved nod from Reg, continued. "OK. Good, this is really good. Now for the next part."

Reg furrowed his brows

"Ben and I talked, and we want to offer you to stay here for a while after All Star, out of the clutches of your family. Of course, you have to go to practice and stuff but maybe it would be healthier for you to feel less controlled, less suffocated by them. We would find something else for you to sleep on than the couch, of course." Mateo joked.

Reg blinked at the guy in front of him in disbelieve.  Encore: What the hell? "You would do that? Let me stay?"

"Yep. We are your moms now, after all." Ben all but yelled over from the kitchen.

 This isn't a fever-trip. This is a dream, and I hope that I will not wake up too soon.

This night, he spent in Jos bed.  

"The couch is lumpy so we will share that bed. I'm not ruining my neck for you." Was her announcement before she marched off, Reg in tow.

He was led into the room, expecting a bedroom and was greeted with a little bureau.

"Erm..." Was all Reg could say.

"Well I only stay here during semester breaks so it's mor like a multi-purpose room." Jo seemed to miss the point entirely.

"But there is no bed?!"

She gave him an odd look and... folded a mattress out of the closet? "You've never seen a Murphy bed?"

"Obviously."

A little while later Reg squeezed himself beside Jo in the double bed. How does such a small person take up so much space?

“Won't it fold up in the night and swallow us whole?" The thought made him nervous, but he was greeted with the Hayes™ way of soothing. Bullying into feeling better.

“Not with your fat ass in here. Sleep or I send you back to the couch.”

They did not sleep for a long while.

Instead the talked a lot like on the first morning that felt like years ago although it has been just two days. In these days, his life was turned inside out, fortunately. He liked this version better.

The more they talked and bantered, the more Reg understood, that she really did not calculate her moves but just did what seemed the honest, right and fair choice… which is why she was horrible at the midnight chess match: Not thinking a few steps ahead and no intention of sacrificing figures or threatening enemy figures… irritating and endearing.

Also, she had quite a lot of very good burns but apologised every time afterwards. Hilarious... too nice for her devilish mind.

The next morning, he woke up around four, with Jo's back tucked against his side. He had slept about two hours, not able to sleep any longer anyway but he stayed in bed, secretly enjoying the feeling of a warm weight beside him.

Thoughts about his brother were still omnipresent in his mind but right now, other thinks demand his attention. Reg was pretty sure that he was falling for Jo.

He had had one or another crush in school but what he felt now was magnitudes stronger. Coming to think of it, his feelings about Ben and Mateo were also magnitudes stronger but... different. The idea of the girl he just met not being within an hour driving distance, once she returned to Boston, left a weight on his chest, accompanied by an unfamiliar longing.

But that was not the point... everything would be OK with that point. The point was, it's not the same as he heard all the other guys in school, in the locker room talk about girls… he didn't get off imagining her naked, or both of them having sex, he never thought that about anyone, actually, and was convinced the boys boasting about how they want to hit all these girls and how they got horny every time some girl with a too-short-to-be-comfortable skirt walk by, were just exaggerating… or were they not? Was there something he just didn't understand, hadn't experienced yet? It's not that he hadn't had sex before and it was nice enough, but he never quite understood why people would go absolutely nuts about this past-time exercise. It was basically wanking with extra steps.

Hell, Reg felt not even aroused by Jo's ass pressed to his thigh in her sleep but he was very sure that he wanted to hold her close, feel her skin under his hands, her body pressed to his, to kiss her and be definitely more than friends with her; And he had absolutely no idea how to explain this to her and still hope for a chance of dating her eventually... This was not what people were looking for in a partner, was it?

He groaned... was there nothing simple on this world for him?

But then again, Jo was different, that's why he liked her, she had this no-bullshit attitude that let her stomp on several feet regularly. She was the only person he knew that would most likely appreciate if he just spoke his mind about the situation and have a balanced, rational and decidedly calm discussion about their feelings. He silently laughed. The thought about such a conversation was ridiculous but fairly simple. Maybe this would be easier than he first thought. He was not sure on what terms they would end but the situation would be evaluated and free of misunderstandings at the end.

He would talk to her after All Star, after facing his brother and trying to... what?

Telling Lucius and Narcissa that he wanted to stay elsewhere for a few nights went smoother than expected. After a short call with his mother she agreed to give him a bit of freedom. After the outing, his parents seemed to be eager to keep Reg as the good son. So, Walburga was in kind of open for some little claims. Of course, she wanted to know where he was staying so he pretended to need alone-time after the shock of his brother's outing and booked a hotel room until All Star as cover. He was definitely not risking his Mother taking this very fragile attempt of escape away from him.

Reg quietly packed a bag with clothes to take with him directly from the airport after All Star and spent his waiting time at the airport on the phone with Mateo, looking for a therapist. He would meet Dr. Bones close to the Hospital, Mateo worked at, next Thursday.

The flight with Snape was horrible. Reg tried to keep his thought about Sirius at bay, not checking social media at all but Severus kept sneering about Queers in general and Sirius. He laid open all the information he could dig up out about Remus and even announced proudly, that he forwarded it all to the commentators of the red carpet

Oh… merde. C’est pourri! They are in for a shit-show.

But Reg would not have to opportunity to contact Sirius before that.

I had no idea that there was so much hate on Tifa in the fandom, and I don't understand how anyone could hate her. Imo she is the sweetest and most selfless character in the game. I feel like these toxic clerith fans hate Tifa more than Sephiroth. And to make it worse, Sephiroth is the one who actually kills their favorite girl. Seriously, wtf.

It's insane right!? They hate Tifa more than the person who literally murders Aerith. Oh, but don't say anything about that cause they get super triggered if you bring it up. I think they like pretending Tifa actually killed Aerith, so the second you throw the truth in their faces they turn into ranging harpies screeching and clawing at canon until it's shredded.

Tifa's lovely. Actually a really lovely character. The type of woman who's a role model for girls in gaming. She's strong, resilient, brave, smart, selfless, kind and a poc, so she's hitting a lot of markers as a character that girls can look up to and admire. She also doesn't rely on magic for her skills, but hard work. She's grounded and relatable.

People who hate her are just consumed by their own pathetic petty jealousies. Them being assholes isn't gonna change the story. Tifa will always end up with Cloud because that's the way Nojima wrote her. Cloud will always be attracted to Tifa because that's how Nomura designed them both. Tifa is made to appeal to Cloud's tastes in every way. And Cloud is her hero. He's not a perfect one, but he's the one she chose. Trying to rip them away from each other is a waste of time cause their story is that they'll always find each other again no matter what. Their love is an enduring one. Not perfect, but they want to be together, so they work at it.

And basic common sense should've told all these antis and haters that insulting Nomura's favourite girl, because Tifa is his favourite and that's a fact, would only result in him being incredibly petty and giving us more cloti scenes to spite them. They don't have to like Tifa, but they really should stfu bitching about her. She gets the guy. End of.

"I heard it was your birthday, so--" They bow as they present the small box to their colleague. "Happy birthday-" Within the box is a selection of pastries. They brought them on the way to set from their favourite bakery.

     The��‘ birthday selfie ‘ he had posted on his instagram tag morning had made sure he got PLENTY of ‘ happy birthday ‘ wishes. The caption had been; SUCK MY DICK HATERS I SURVIVED ANOTHER YEAR. He could thank his phone’s auto-correct for the lack of spelling errors. Nnoitra had spent a few minutes reading some comments, but he quickly got bored of it, and found that he literally couldn’t care less about strangers wishing him a happy birthday. It wasn’t like they MEANT it. 

     He expected that some of his colleagues would congratulate him as well, but since he didn’t consider any of them his FRIENDS, he had absolutely 0 hopes of getting a birthday present. Mah, maybe the director would present him with a fruit basket or some shit like that - which he wouldn’t refuse, of course. His birthday really was no big deal. He already treated himself to good food every day, so the excuse to indulge was wasted on him. As for BUYING himself something he wanted, as a ‘ present ‘ to himself? Nnoitra had plenty of money. He could’ve bought himself a fancy car, a golden watch, gone on a cruise... Yeah, he could’ve, but he didn’t want to. Material goods didn’t do it for him. Sure, he’d appreciate the new item when he bought it, but would quickly lose interest in it. As for going on a vacation... New places were nice and all, but his state of mind forever remained the same. It was a bit like being locked up in a cell and watching the weather outside the window change. Nnoitra had ALWAYS had a heavy feeling resting upon his shoulders. An invisible weight that never went away. The only times he didn’t feel it was when he could be someone else. It was why acting was liberating to him. If he could’ve been someone other than himself on a permanent basis, he definitely would’ve. But he couldn't. 

     He showed up on set in good time to rehearse his lines, and raid the vending machines. The very first person who congratulated him was that weirdo. Nnoitra hadn’t been much involved with him - THEM - since their little chat, designed to make Nnoitra respect his pronouns or whatever. Needless to say, Nnoitra didn’t respect them, and kept referring to him as a man. He was a strange guy. Feminine, yet not. Gentle, but not submissive. He looked up at Nnoitra with politeness and when he wished him a ‘ happy birthday ‘, Nnoitra almost believed him. The BOW was a bit of an overkill, Nnoitra thought. Nao ( he might have weird preferences for his pronouns, but at least he had a short name ) handed him a small cardboard box. Nnoitra could smell the pastries it contained, and his mouth watered. It was kind of Nao to give him a gift, and Nnoitra wondered if this was his attempt at sucking up, so that Nnoitra might ‘ treat him with more respect ‘ or whatever. If that was the goal, then unfortunately, it would be futile. 

     ❝ Thanks. ❞ Nnoitra accepted the box, fingers grasping it with a certain eager. Without a pause, he popped the box open to look inside. His mouth was already watering, so the sight of the delicious looking pastries made his stomach growl loud enough for the other to hear. This would be Nnoitra’s second meal of the day, and it was still fairly early.  ❝ Looks fuckin’ tasty as hell. Where’d ya get it? ❞ The glossy finish of the donuts, the size of the puff-pastries, the bright colors of the macaroons - it all spoke of quality. Not the cheap sort of shit one could buy at a supermarket. This stuff came from a bakery. Nnoitra was the type of man who would eat literally anything, but that didn’t mean he didn’t appreciate extra good food. He was curious about where Nao had bought the pastries, and thought that if the other gave him the name of the bakery, he might to there for lunch.

this is, i think, the most interesting ask i have gotten in ages. you can’t imagine how much i like everything you wrote here, thank you for sharing it with me!

with the shit i see every day it seems so rare to find people who are so ..open-minded with fiction. feels strange to write that down but idk how else to describe it. and tbh i was lowkey hoping someone will mention floch so that i can find a chance to say IT’S OKAY TO LIKE HIM. i guess i’m a coward for not making a post on my own. you CAN say you love him anon, it’s totally cool, i support you all the way. ❤️ and even the fact that you don’t know exactly why is absolutely valid!! i would accept anything, “i like him because he causes chaos”, “i like him because he has a cool character design/he’s beautiful”. anything is fine. you think i was waiting for zeke’s deep backstory to make him my number 1? i saw him in chapter 70 in his full glory and i was like “well damn you’re my mans now”. who cares? enjoy the story however you like, you don’t owe an explanation to anyone and don’t have to prove anything either. this is exactly why i hate these moral olympics in the fandom, so many people have a complex of wanting their favourite characters to be flawless gods who can do no wrong. and so they reach and twist and bend the story so much in order to justify every single thing. really sad if you ask me. anyways.

in that gabi ask i said that floch is a character we are meant to dislike right? well the key word is ‘meant’. it doesn’t mean we must. i actually liked him very much at the beginning. i was impressed with how he talked back at the 104th and i though ‘finally, here’s a different pov’. in time though he became too absolutist for my liking but i still see how he is important. there are many floch-type characters in other stories that i’ve liked from beginning to end though. i find it very interesting that you hated floch so much and ended up loving him! sometimes there’s a thin line between these two you know? and i appreciate that you love him with full awareness that he’s a mean guy and you’re cool with the memes too. i think isayama did actually try to add some humour on the fact that he kept floch alive in 124 and kind of went:

so yeah, floch is great. you may keep liking him just cause until the end or you may suddenly find a reason or we may learn something about him that will make you like him even more. who knows. what i know is that you win because you seem to have fun with the story while others are fuming 💅

and as for gabi and reiner, once again, valid! btw, you say that gabi is not your type of character. same for me. i like her now more than ever but she is still not within my favourite characters in this series. i defended her against those haters of course because as you said she is growing and we grow to love her. i understand your initial reaction. i was thrown off both by her introduction and by her shooting sasha but it doesn’t take much to see why/how she acts the way she does. and omg the fact that reiner is your favourite character ever now!! 😭❤️ that progress is so beautiful! personally, i always liked him but after marley arc ...x1000, he’s only slightly below zeke.

THE OWLS ARE IN! IT’S TIME FOR THE SURVEY RESULTS!

So, as many of our followers are probably aware, we recently did a survey to get a feel of what people thought of our blog. We got a total of 57 results and we are grateful to each and every one of you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Now, we’re here to share the general consensus of what people thought and how we will accommodate these opinions.

We’ll definitely have some changes to the blog, so read on to see what those changes are!

Before we begin, we have a few things to briefly mention.

The results are pretty scattered. We didn’t want to restrict anyone, so most were free response or included “Other”. In hindsight, there were a few questions that could have easily been multiple choice without really restricting anyone. (Side eyes the first question.) Therefore, most of these will just summarize the results we got. Occasionally drop the graph for the multiple choice questions.

Because of the large amount of responses we got, not every answer will be listed here. We highlighted the things that were either most commonly mentioned or had us thinking the most.

Our original quotes often don’t have sources. But if there’s one where a mod forgot to credit a source, please just message us and one of the admins will fix that!

“There isn't a particularly nice aesthetic to the blog, e.g. a matching layout and profile picture or quote.”

Yeah, we’re working to fix that. I like pretty blogs too.

“Could be updated a little more.”

(”Not much posting in my opinion,” “Long time between posts.”)

Strangely enough, we got this a few times but our later poll about how often to post were contradicting this. So, unfortunately, we will not be adjusting this.

We’re sorry you feel that way. We always put it in the tags, just in front of the source. We are more of a mod-based blog rather than a submission-based blog. Anyone is welcome to submit, but about 98% of our posts are created by our mods.

We can assure you our mods put a lot of thought into what characters to use, but you are welcome to message us with your own suggestion! (But please note that we are a Marauders blog; we got a few comments about how we don’t post enough Hinny or Romione, but that’s not what our blog is about.)

Once again, we got a lot about how funny we are, so we’ll skip over those and highlight the more unique answers!

(We got this a few times. ”Like the type of blog and incorrect-marauders was the first one Harry potter themed I found,” also, “Its really funny and pretty much the only blog that just does this kind of post and i LOVE it.” But alternatively... “There are a lot of textpost blogs like it, but it is one of the only ones that I have found that consistently keeps characters in character in the posts and appeals to my sense of humor.”)

How often should we post?

We got a lot of variety here. Some say once a day (which is how often we currently post) was ideal. Others put stuff like...

“I wouldnt mind my entire blog just being filled with your posts.”

While Once A Day is the most voted for, the rest of the options put together, which we’ll name Two or More Times a Day, do win overall. Since we have one new post followed by a reblog, we’ll compromise by posting two times a day, but with one new post a day (the second being a reblog).

In UTC, what times do you prefer us posting?

As expected, not many people cared. But two people felt very strongly and voted for 12am, 1am, and 6pm UTC. So, we’ll consider that.

What characters, relationships, universes, etc. would you like to see more represented in our posts?

We got a lot of responses here, primarily being more Wolfstar, Jily, and BFFs James and Sirius. We also got a lot saying we should post about Hinny, Romione, next gen, FBAWTFT, etc. in which I remind you that this is a Marauders blog.

We also got the hilarious response that said we should maybe post about the “merauders”. Well, we can certainly promise you that.

We also got a lot of people saying more McGonagall. That’s something we can definitely do.

Would you like to see more original quotes from us?

For the longest time, the option 50/50 was at exactly 50%. Kind of disappointed that is no longer, but the 25% option is at 25%, so that’s something. Anyway, we’ll aim for 50/50.

What else would you like to see us post?

This was one of the results that will make the biggest change to the blog. People seem to really love these ideas. So expect...

Marauder Mondays! Every Monday we’ll have Marauder Monday, where we’ll answer asks, reblog posts, and have a party! Probably when we’ll post the “extra” posts, like our GIFs, graphics, aesthetics, videos, etc.

How would you feel if we did sponsored posts?

Combined, it seems like ~75% of those who took the survey are good with sponsored posts.

These results honestly surprised us. We’ve gotten a lot of offers of sponsorships in the past but have always denied them because we didn’t know how our followers would feel. We probably won’t do this in the near future, but it’s an option.

What kind of projects would you like to see us host?

We got so many people suggesting merch. Shirts, stickers, pins, other merch... So we’ll keep that in mind! We’d love some Marauders shirts ourselves.

3) I wish I was brave enough to share my writing like you do. I'm really scared people will think I'm stupid or that I suck. I'm too shy to share much 🙈 How can someone get over that kind of fear?

Dude, if I could take you back to the first fic I ever wrote- I think it was Dramione? Or H2O, it was seriously just awful like wow oh my god. But the thing was- people were so nice. And dude, it was shit. I promise you, it really was. What i’m saying is- you are your own harshest critic, and that’s super cliche but it’s true. No one will judge your work the way you do. And the feeling when people are nice- oh god, it just- it’s worth the risk. No one is going to think youre stupid or you suck because you had the fucking moxie to create something in the first place. I know it’s hard to take that first leap- I was too young to truly comprehend how scary it was when I did it, but I know you can get there. Sometimes it’s nicest starting in a tiny little fandom because everyone is so supportive and you all know each other and you can build confidence that way- saying that, the starker fandom is by far the most supportive one i’ve ever been in (teen wolf a close second, but there can be some mean anons there who for some reason are obsessed with scott??? like i like him, but let’s chill out, sorry off topic) and there will be haters, but fuck them. I, personally, would read anything you wrote and i would never have anything negative to say. I might be like “dude could you put stuff into paragraphs cuz it’s hard to read a block of text on my phone” but that’s it- that’s the worst thing i would ever say. i’d be too busy being grateful that you’d written some glorious content.

It’s scary, my gorgeous darling, but you can get there. The more fic you read, the more confident you get, and soon you’ll get more confident in YOU. As long as YOU like your writing (which is one of the hardest things ever) it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

THE BOY!!!!!

can you believe i spent months trying to be lowkey about my bakugou ships? it took me a while to even admit he was my favourite despite the fact i knew from the start i’d end up a bakugou stan. i never had a ‘oh no this kid’s a mean terrible person’ phase - it was a ‘oh, i can’t Reveal my character tastes like this. not like this.’ phase.

this got…..long. so uh. under the cut it goes:

ANYWAY: i ship bakugou with…..uh…….a lot of characters. kiribaku is the easiest to explain - dumbass jock boyfriends who do shit like baku using kiri as a hammer to make mochi. and kiri being gung-ho about testing his unbreakable mode (which, btw, was motivated by bakugou’s words!!!) by having bakugou fucking. use howlitzer impact on him. you know how i feel about bro ships (hint: i love them). how kiri went from ‘man this bakugou guy is nuts!!! we have to stop him!!!!’ to ‘wow bakugou is so manly and cool and i wanna be by his side’ in the span of (1) one-on-one convo. HE LIKES BAKUGOU SO MUCH. IT’S CUTE. LIKE, I DON’T THINK BAKUGOU GETS HOW HAPPY HE MAKES KIRISHIMA LMAO. how bakugou so readily accepted kiri as an equal - bakugou, who only had two categories for people [extras vs rivals], never thought to seriously think of kiri as anything but an ally and a friend, people always talk how kirishima was the first classmate bakugou even bothered remembering the name of, and with reason, since it says a lot. kiri’s got quite a bit of mlm subtext going on, tbh, and bakugou’s the source of almost all of it. soooooo there’s that too. 

but i’ve also fallen Deep into bakudeku. it’s the shared development, okay. the history and complex emotions and the slowburn to becoming partners. there’s just so much, and they’re so ENTRENCHED in each other. for better or worse, for how much they might dislike the fact they can’t stop thinking about each other, they just can’t help it. they couldn’t understand each other at all but somehow still knew the other inside and out. and deku’s been so smitten since he was like a baby 3 year old and it breaks my heart. it’s honestly one of my favourite shounen rival ships bc it keeps subverting your expectations. and every episode/chapter that deals with their issues and nudges them closer to the ideal - the endgame - is guranteed to be among the best. they’re the backbone of the series, and i love watching them grow together. the fact that they’re currently HEALTHY RIVALS AND TENTATIVE FRIENDS (like deku feels so comfortable gushing over bakugou to his face again and bakugou is so invested in deku’s improvement & is only snappy w/ him out of reflex lmao)….that bakugou is deku’s secret keeper and deku is the one person bakugou allows himself to be vulnerable around……HOO BOY. i just imagined bakugou holding out his hand for deku to take - or accepting deku’s hand at all - and died.

ALSO, TODOBAKU….my darkhorse ship, which hit me in the face one day when i realized how a) hilarious they are together and b) how the series keeps shoving them together (sometimes literally - thanks slidin’ go for giving them the group hug they deserved). i love how they’re so different yet similar - bakugou is loud and obnoxious while todoroki is stern and quiet, but they’re both rude prodigies who needed to be jumpkicked into realizing that they could become better people with the help of others instead of letting anger and bitterness swallow them up. and the provisional exam course made it so they were forced to hang out with each other 95% of the time for three whole months and i LIVE FOR THAT. i love how funny they are - todoroki is snarky & doesn’t even bat an eyelash over bakugou’s tantrums but genuinely tries to be nice and make friends with him! bakugou is so petty and wants todoroki’s attention soooo bad but don’t think i haven’t noticed that most times we’ve seen him genuinely smile has been in todoroki’s presence (ok, then todoroki reacts to it and bakugou instantly goes back to a snarl but STILL). also the fact that the narrative doesn’t want us to forget that bakugou eavesdropped on todoroki telling deku about his family, and bakugou is always Alert and keeping an eye on todo whenever endeavour is involved bc he’s sympathetic and y’know??? cares????? SO GOOD. AND THEY’RE SUCH A GOOD TEAM - SURPRISINGLY IN SYNC AND THEIR QUIRKS MATCH UP AND I LOVE THEM!

GOD, HORI…..BAKUGOU/URARAKA WOULD BE SO GOOD. like, can you *imagine* the sheer potential of a ship that you only really have them interact during one goddamn tournament fight and yet it becomes arguably the most popular het ship in your series (w/ only the main character and his canon love interest as real competition????) i love them though, like,,,,i find it so interesting that uraraka has shown, despite again - minimal onscreen interaction - that she understands bakugou better than most. she knows how he’d handle their fight and uses that to her advantage. (and while she still lost, she gained his respect and a new drive to get stronger!) she’s the one who brings up how HE’D feel about the plan to go rescue him - that his pride would prevent him from easily accepting help. i’m desperately trying to figure out a way they could animate that omake where uraraka plants herself in deku’s seat and demands that bakugou bury the hatchet with him while gently but firmly calling him out for his root issue of fear and his defense mechanism of violently pushing deku away. and it managed to calm him down and honestly, i wouldn’t be surprised if he ruminated on those words for a while. IT’S SO GOOD, WHY WASN’T IT IN THE STORY ITSELF!!! and like, the mere fact he respects her a lot and ended up *psyched* to continue fighting her - and after he’s told deku had nothing to do with her plan, i don’t think he’d make that mistake again, which makes it easier for him to understand her back. he knows she’s smart and talented and that everyone else was wrong to underestimate her. also, i love that uraraka thinks bakugou is like…..funny? he’s out there threatening to murder kaminari and uraraka’s like ‘hahaha :’’)))’ bc she has such a Bro/vulgar sense of humour. like, i think they’d have a lot of fun together. LET THEM TALK MORE, PLS!!!!

THOSE ARE MY MAIN SHIPS BUT I ALSO SHIP HIM WITH THE REST OF THE BAKUSQUAD! BOTH PLATONICALLY AND ROMANTICALLY! I HAVE NO SHAME! baku/kami is so underrated and great - kaminari is just as much bakugou’s bff as kirishima is, tbh, and he has absolutely No Chill which makes their interactions - especially the further the story goes and bakugou’s edges soften - so much fun. one moment, he’ll be casually commenting that bakugou is the worst and needs to change his whole rotten personality - then the next second, he’ll be sprawled all over him, calling him kacchan and defending his honour from actual haters. and bakugou just fucbdhfhd lets this happen. bakugou likes kaminari enough to just let him. do whatever the hell he wants. ALSO, THE BAND. admittedly, sero is the only one with enough common sense and actual standards to avoid dating bakugou (’HE’LL NEVER BE BEAUTIFUL’ ghdhfhd sero) but i still adore them. sero’s so tricksy and loves playing the reverse psychology trick on bakugou, who just constantly falls for it. i bet he was the first person bakugou let just hang out in his room, and he probably appreciates that sero actually gives him his space when he needs it! i can’t believe baku/sero is the Real ‘bakugou pining’ ship. @ hori: GIVE MINA AND BAKUGOU ACTUAL INTERACTIONS, GDI. i’m forced to headcanon their whole dynamic from near-scratch. whereas kiri and kami are more the type to glue themselves to bakugou’s back, i imagine mina’s the type to actively drag bakugou along places. she probably cried when she found out that a) his parents are rich designers (’BUY ME CLOTHES, BAKUGOUUUU’) and b) his glycerin-based quirk and taking after his mom means he usually has perfect skin and has never broken out in his life. she doesn’t speak to him for a week until he takes her out to dinner and buys her a cute dress. and i’m super fond of baku/jirou. i love that their dynamic is like…..while the rest of their friends are doing dumb shit For The VineTM, they’re on the sidelines waiting for shit to hit the fan. they’re punk buds and prob do that couples clothes switch thing a lot just to see if anyone notices. jirou bosses him around and he takes all her advice seriously and like, they trust each other! they have great team synergy! she was the first person bakugou both consciously protected and asked to protect him in turn!! DID I MENTION THE BAND?? i also ship him with camie! it’s just such a funny concept to imagine - like imagine you’re in class 1A and bakugou shows up out of nowhere with a hot girlfriend who talks. like that. and she makes him laugh??? and no, seriously, does he actually understand what the hell she’s saying???? WHAT’S HAPPENING. but yeah, she very casually teases him but also seemed comfortable w/ him right off the bat and i know in my heart that bakugou relented and let her have his phone number. also, i find it funny people started shipping him with shindou after bakugou was the one to call him out for being duplicitous. bakugou’s the type of character that just needs to interact with another character once and *someone* out there will be like ‘what if………..they were dating’ and that’s so valid of them.

good bakugou ot3/ot4s: kirishima/bakugou/uraraka, todoroki/midoriya/bakugou, todoroki/inasa/camie/bakugou. i reblog a looooot of kirishima/kaminari/bakugou and bakugou/uraraka/midoriya even tho i don’t actually ship either as an ot3 that much, oops? they’re good ships tho.
