Friendless
After being pestered by Tim about not having any friends (Apparently: Bizarro, your brother's exes, family friends, your dad's friends/exes and your exes didn't count), Jason was determined to make a friend.
But it was extremely difficult since most of Gotham knew him as "Red Hood, the Crime lord" or "The reincarnation of Jason Todd" (Jason still didn't know how they came to the latter conclusion, idiots or geniuses?).
So he decided to look for someone who didn't know anything about Gotham or moved recently to the city but it was impossible to tell! Tired of his fruitless search, he ordered drinks at the new bar that opened recently.
And while he was drinking he met his first friend! (Or well, the first friend he had made on his own and without outside influences, fuck you Tim); Danny Nightingale was a strange boy, with a lot of resistance to alcohol and who had recently moved. Jason was 80% sure that he was a meta or another creature since he didn't show up in the photos.
But that didn't matter! It was time to show off to the family his new best friend! (And show them that he can make friends!) Not Steph, not Barbara, Danny. On the other hand, the halfa was quite confused but glad that the people of Gotham were so nice and friendly, Jason seemed like a nice person, and maybe it was time to widen his friendship circle beyond Sam & Tucker.

As someone who was a monthly comic buying adult for RHatOs #25 my beloathed, it actually means so much to me that this time when Bruce is getting *way* too violent with Jason, the other Bats showed up on his side!

It's always "Rusty why did you go to that bar in Crime Alley" and "Rusty how did you get to that bar in Crime Alley" and not "how was the bar fight in Crime Alley did you have fun in the bar fight in Crime Alley"

NSFW; not really a headcanon post, but i was doing my daily gotham rewatch and GOD i just need to speak about Oswald and how Frankie Carbone’s death in 1x07 was 100% a metaphor for sex.
Call me crazy, but the hints are there. The speech Oswald gives about love conquering all. When you know what a man loves; you know what can destroy him. The whole scene is an allegory for Oswald’s rise in Gotham, his struggle with being loved- how killing Frankie and moving to the top one step at a time is orgasmic for him. Power is Oswalds own version of sex, his orgasm, his love.
The way Oswald clutches him as he kills him? The soft hush and shh as he cradles the body. The way he pulls away, panting, heavily breathing as he witnesses that feeling. The way he moves in, holding Frankie’s head, before pressing a looooong forehead kiss, petting him. Even the way Gabe and the other henchman share a weird look, as though their witnessing something private, intimate, strange.
Just saying; you see throughout the series forehead kisses are prominent in how Oswald displays affection, how he kisses Edward (the dog!) and even how he kisses the man he kills in season 2.
You can’t tell me Oswald wouldn’t be absolutley ravishing someone and pressing a long intimate forehead kiss while he’s still inside them. God, he needs to be CONNECTED in every possible way to everyone he kills or loves.
Frankie Carbone’s death, imo, is the closest thing we see to Oswald having sex. And I think it’s so interesting and so overtly important. Even the episode is titled after Oz.

Deeply ironic that between my legit jobs and my goonion jobs, there are actually fewer labor laws being broken in the illegal jobs
I don’t have to make a spreadsheet comparing my nightly tips to pay stubs to make sure I’m not getting screwed when I’m working for the rogues

Clark Kent meets Matches Malone (Bruce Wayne) drawing details - Illustration for @susiecarter - Poker Face (AO3) Video edited by: @daviwea
When it comes to DC shipping, I'm an absolute forever fan of wonderbat and I love to make fanart on that theme, but I found susiecarter's DCEU fanfics really fascinating and I wanted to do an illustration for one of her works one day, while drawing my usual pictures, so here it is. It was a lot of fun to draw Bruce with his set hair, fake mustache and horrible suit as befits Matches Malone.

i genuinely think dc should, for real, kill off the joker
use it to do a huge event storyline pulling in GCPD characters, basically every gotham-based vigilante (and the rogues gallery), non-gotham superheroes who had encounters with joker, just a giant "WHO KILLED THE JOKER?" plot where hundreds if not thousands of people have the motive to kill him or arrange for his death.
and the actual death is like something out of a mystery novel, so you also have to solve 'how did the joker die' and the potential that maybe it was just a bizarre accident.
put the 'detective' back in detective comics!
kill the joker!
(and have an editorial moratorium to forbid writers from resurrecting the joker for at least a decade after the story concludes)
