Tumblr media
Steve and you had always been givers when it came to Bucky, he deserved it after everything he'd been through and it calmed him down, having his cock sucked like a lollipop.
You and steve both loved giving him the pleasure, that's how you slowly brought him out of his shell since the accords happened. You steve and bucky , lived in a secluded cottage in Massachusetts, where it was safe and no one could find you, steve would leave for his little missions sometimes when natasha called ,other than that it was just the three of you.
You both took care of Bucky, you knew he was fragile, a little grumpy but still very fragile. Bucky was finally becoming his old charming self, he even asked you to let him eat your pussy, he was quite eager, he needed a little help of course cuz he hasn't done it in a long fucking time.
So you and steve agreed , and thats how you ended up like this, with your legs spread apart by the blonde super soldier's arms, your back against his chest, Bucky was kneeling in front of you waiting for Steve's words. "Go ahead baby boy, lick our pretty girl's pussy."
And bucky did, he was eager giving you messy licks like he would eat his ice cream, you moaned in pleasure.
"give her long licks from the bottom bucky that's what gets her going." Bucky did as steve said, licking ling stripes from your hole . He continued his actions, before steve told him to stop.
He moved you around in his arms a little , before licking pushing his two fingers in your mouth, you liked it coating it with your saliva. "Good girl" the blonde soldier praised you.
"see now is the important part buck" he pressed his fingers to your entrance, Bucky watched closely, "you gotta prep her with your fingers too" he teased your hole with his index finger, before pushing it in, making you moan in pleasure.
"spit on it puppy" steve told Bucky, Bucky looked at him hesitantly. "She likes it babyboy trust me, that pussy likes to be covered in spit, makes her even wetter" . Bucky gathered the saliva in his mouth and spit it on your pussy, steve praised him making him blush. "Good boy, now you can spit in her mouth too, but i assume you already know that , she's a dirty slut, you can use her however you want." Steve saying those things about you turned you on so much, you wanted nothing more than to ride tour husband at this moment, taking his big cock in your bare pussy, but you knew this was meant for bucky, so you remained stoic, except for the moans you left out.
"hear those sounds, you gotta follow em, it'll let you find her sweet spot, just like daddy does when he fingers that ass of yours, our girl had a sweet spot in her pussy too , you'd have stimulated it when you fucked her, but that was probably because your cock is too big for her tiny pussy, but when you eat her out it's very important to find it." Bucky nodded as if taking mental notes of the points steve said, he wanted to please you so badly, make you feel as food as steve, he'd seen steve eat you out so many times, and he wanted to try it..
Steve pulled hsu fingers out of your dripping hole with a pop.
"now put your tongue in her, swirl it around, push it in deeper" bucky put his hot tongue in your hole, doing just as steve instructed him, and og not it felt good . You couldn't control your screams.
"go as deep as you can bucky , she loves it .....see how she's wiggling in my arms. Good now fuck her with it, push your tongues in and out , like you do with your cock when you fuck her, just like that . Good puppy you're a fast learner " the praises form steve along with your noises made Bucky more eager to please you.
"hnm feels so good bucky uhh" you barely go your words out before you came all over the brunette's face.
Steve seemed disappointed, "tsk tsk, no buck that's not how you do it, you can't let her come so easily" Bucky looked at him with those puppy eyes, he knew he disappointed his captain and he was sad.
"sorry captain, can I try again, make pretty girl come right this time."
Steve couldn't say no to him of course , "it's okay baby everyone makes mistakes, this is your first time, and i know it's easy to get lost in the noises she makes, but you gotta learn to take control, make her wait for it and then give it to her, let's get again puppy, and again, and again until you get it right, you're gonna be a pro at this , I'll make you. " And oh boy you knew you were in for a long night.

series masterlist ⭐︎ previous chapter
☀︎
For the first time in a while, you hate the way the sun shines into your face when you open your eyes this morning. You take deep breaths, glaring at the light. Your palm is pressed against the mattress beneath you. You know you should get up, but you don’t feel ready yet. Your head pounds a little, and your eyes feel sore.
You barely slept last night. Too many thoughts kept you awake, along with all the revelations you got.
For months, you had been traveling with them, and no one bothered to tell you of Steve and Nancy’s history. Of what they once were. Of how friendship wasn’t the only thing between them. And you know that maybe it shouldn’t matter, maybe it’s not that big of a deal, maybe it’s not even of importance anymore. He did say that it was only high school love, and high school was years ago. But it still rubs you the wrong way that they didn’t mention it once, especially Steve. He told you of what that girlfriend of his did to him, of how she hurt him, cheated on him, and dumped him to be with someone else. Why didn’t he tell you then that it was her?
Now you can’t help but feel anger and a sliver of resentment towards her for what she did to him. Even if it doesn’t matter to him now, it mattered to him then. Even if he doesn’t love her now, he loved her then, puppy love or not. She broke his heart. And it pains you to know that he suffered because of her.
Now they are friends, and he can act like nothing ever happened. How? You don’t understand.
Nancy’s confession led you to wake up with anger in your heart this morning.
You turn around and face the rest of the RV. It’s empty. Eddie and Nancy probably left to check out the nearby town, leaving Steve out there by himself.
You’re not sure if you are ready to face him after your conversation with him in the RV last night. After what he said to you.
Steve’s confession led you to wake up with sadness in your soul.
You wish you had known sooner.
You wish you had known sooner about them and about being a goddamn placeholder for the best friend he lost.
If you knew, maybe you could have saved yourself at least.
With a sigh, you push yourself up. You don’t hurry out of the RV this morning like usual, desperate for a cup of coffee – even if you are, you aren’t ready to look into his stupidly gorgeous eyes.
You take your time getting dressed and brushing your teeth in the tiny bathroom. This is a luxury you didn’t have when you traveled alone. You didn’t always have a bathroom. You sometimes traveled for days without finding a roof to sleep under. You brushed your teeth using a water bottle to rinse your mouth with. You washed your hair and your body in lakes. If you were lucky, you found houses with water tanks that allowed you to take showers… even if only cold ones, but you were just glad to be able to properly clean yourself.
You are content here, but you also can’t wait to get home and find comfort again. After last night, you want nothing more than a warm bath, the stew and homemade bread that your dad always makes, a big hug from your mom, and your brother’s stupid attempt to make you laugh.
You miss them. You miss them more than anything today.
You stare at your reflection in the mirror as you braid your hair. You hate how puffy your eyes look today and how those circles under them are darker than usual. You look so different from how you used to look before the world changed. The lack of food is seen on your body nowadays.
You reach for the hair tie around your wrist, not the lilac colored one he gave to you. Now you wonder why he gave it to you. You know it’s Robin’s. You had a hunch, and now you know.
A huff falls from your lips, and you can’t help but roll your eyes at yourself for getting your hopes up once more, let alone in a world like this. Of course, he had a reason to give you a chance, to like you. He wouldn’t have done it if he hadn’t gotten something out of it… right? Why else did he change his mind about you so quickly after getting out of Hawkins? It wasn’t only guilt, it was something else too.
You put your jacket on and zip it up, and eye the yellow colored scarf on the couch. You want to leave it there so badly. The bitterness inside you is strong… though not strong enough for you to not put it on.
You don’t notice the way Steve’s eyes light up when you open the door and step outside into the cold. He is standing in the snow with one hand on his hip and a mug in his other hand. The smell of coffee and snow mixes together. The pot is still steaming, your mug is waiting for you on the small table you used for cooking last night.
“Good morning, Sunshine.” Steve smiles at you, eying the scarf around your neck.
“Morning.” You mumble, unable to even try and sound more cheerful.
Steve furrows his eyebrows, his smile fading a bit as he takes in the look on your face. The circles under your eyes, the sad but also… angry look on your face. It’s concerning to see you like this – the only time he saw that facial expression and heard that tone in your voice was when you all just hit the road, after he had snapped at you in front of Robin’s grave.
“For someone who didn’t drink, you sure do look hungover.” Steve attempts to make you chuckle, though all he gets is a half hearted smile. A weird feeling settles in his chest at that. “Coffee…?”
He searches for your eyes, for your smile. But you hide from him, looking down as you make your way down the stairs.
“Yeah.”
Steve nods and sets his mug down. He grabs your mug and pours the coffee in. He prepares it for you, how you like it – way too goddamn sweet. He stirs it so the sugar dissolves.
“Here,” he says, looking back up at you, stepping towards you to hand you the coffee.
You take it from his hands, forcing a smile onto your face as you glance at him. You try to ignore the way your heart skips a beat over the way he looks down at you, over the way he put three teaspoons of sugar into your coffee… just how you like it, over the way his touch feels when his fingers brush against yours.
“Thank you,” you whisper as you wrap both hands around the warm mug. You retreat and break eye contact, missing the way his face falls as worry takes over.
You sit down on the way too cold camping chair. You take a look around as you take a sip.
Steve picks up his mug again and makes his way to your side, not hesitating to pull his chair closer and sit down beside you. He turns to face you, not even hiding his stare.
You said four words. Only four words. You start rambling the moment you smell the coffee in the air. You are never this quiet. Never. You are just looking at the field ahead of you, drinking your coffee in silence.
“Sunshine, is everything okay?” He doesn’t hesitate to ask. “You’re not feeling sick again, are you?”
Guilt fills your chest at the worry in his voice. But warmth spreads through you as well, knowing that he noticed.
You shake your head and slowly turn to face him. “I’m okay, just tired… that’s all.”
Steve furrows his eyebrows. You were the first to go to sleep last night and the last to wake up this morning. After the conversation he had with you inside the RV, you got tired and went to sleep.
“But you slept for 8 hours,” he mumbles as he reaches over to you, placing his palm against your forehead to check if the fever came back, but your temperature feels fine.
You lean back, avoiding his touch. “I said I’m okay.” You grumble, taking him aback.
Steve’s eyes flash with hurt. His brows sinking lower. The pang in his chest surprises him too, making his stomach dropa little. Not good.
You make the mistake of looking at him, and you instantly tense up. Guilt settles inside of you. The hurt look in his eyes causes your tension to disappear. The urge to apologize grows inside you right away.
His doe eyes gaze into yours, his lips curling into a frown. His shoulders slump, and he retreats a little. In this moment right here, he resembles a goddamn puppy.
Steve Harrington looks like a puppy.
A sigh falls from your lips as you tilt your head to the side.
“I-I’m sorry… I just… didn't sleep that well and now I have a headache.” It’s not exactly a lie. You’re just not telling him the reason for it.
“Oh…” He frowns. “Do you need anything? Tylenol? Or do you want me to make you some breakfast? I can make oatmeal. We got cinnamon and brown sugar now.” He shrugs.
You shake your head, smiling a little. “No, I’m fine… I promise. Maybe later.”
Steve nods, but he doesn’t look convinced.
“The sun is up!” Eddie grins as he spots you next to Steve.
Your head snaps towards him. You were too distracted to hear his footsteps… or hers.
“Morning, Sweets.”
“Morning.”
Eddie notices the tone in your voice right away, the lack of a smile confusing him. He draws back in surprise, tilting his head at you.e’s about to open his mouth to ask if you’re okay, but Nancy beats him to it.
“Are you okay?” The brunette asks, concerned as she makes her way over to you.
You can’t help but feel tense. A sour taste appears on your tongue, not even the bittersweet coffee cannot kill that taste.
Steve notices the way you clench your jaw at the sound of her voice, the way your eyes flash with something he can’t read, something he’s never seen on you before. It surprises him.
Your lip twitches, curling into a plastered smile.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” You mumble, and before any of them can ask or say anything else, you turn on your heel and make your way back into the RV, catching them all off guard when you slam the door, leaving them all confused and stunned.
They had never seen you in a bad mood. They had never seen you angry. You had never behaved that way before. They didn’t even know you had it in you.
Eddie raises his eyebrows, his eyes widen. He slowly turns to face Steve after staring at the door for a while. The former jock looks just as confused but also… he looks like a kicked and tossed aside puppy. His lips are curled into a pout, his hazel eyes etched with sadness.
Nancy turns around, nearly giving herself a whiplash by how fast she does it.
“What happened?” She frowns. “Did you say something to her?”
Steve frowns at the accusing tone in her voice. Eddie notices it right away.
“What? No! She just woke up, didn’t even say two sentences to me,” he mumbles as he looks down into his coffee cup. A bad feeling rises in his chest. A mixture of sadness and concern was flushing through him.
Was it something he said…? Was it something he did? Was it about last night? It can’t be right? You were fine when he went after you to talk, when he explained that he doesn’t feel for Nancy anymore. You were okay, you even shared your KitKat with him before you went to bed.
“Maybe she’s just… maybe she is just having a bad day,” Steve mumbles, hoping that it is that. “She’s allowed to have a bad day.” He grumbles, feeling protective. He’s had plenty of bad days, and you always gave him space, just like Nancy and Eddie had bad days, and you always respected that as well.
“So give her the space that she needs.” He tells them, before he sits down on the camping chair behind him, glaring at the snow on the ground.
You’re allowed to have a bad day. He repeats in his head and yet, he feels rejection coursing through him, not liking the coldness he received from you.
Though it turns out to be more than just a bad day.
If it were just that, you would keep to yourself, avoid everyone, and do your thing, but instead, you huff and puff at everything and everyone except for Eddie. Eddie seems to be the one spared by your cold shoulder, even when you grumble in response to his questions, you still talk to him.
And Steve feels offended by it, when he notices how you still talk to Eddie while you avoid him and behave weirdly towards him, he can’t help but feel a weird ache in his chest. It confuses him and it makes him feel sad.
He watches how you chat with Eddie when you wash dishes in the sink, and it leaves him with a bitter taste on his tongue because when he carried those dishes to you, you didn’t say a single word to him, not one word.
And it’s so unlike you. You always talk to him, you talk to him more than you do with Eddie or Nancy, which makes it so obvious that you have some kind of personal issue with him, and it slowly makes him experience an ache he hasn’t felt in so long. He feels anxious, but also… he feels something he didn’t even know he was still capable of feeling. And he doesn’t know what to think of it, he doesn’t know how to let the realization sink in, he is too scared of it.
And Eddie, despite being the one spared by your odd behaviour, notices everything. He sees the way you roll your eyes at everything that Nancy says, the way you clench your jaw and stare at her bitterly, resentment flashing in your eyes.
And Steve… Every time you look at him, your eyes flicker with hurt but also with anger and disbelief. One moment, you look like a kicked puppy around him; the next moment, you snap at him every time he offers a hand and tries to help you with whatever task you are doing.
In return, he always draws back in shock before his face flashes with sadness and rejection.
If this wasn’t so serious, if he didn’t look so hurt and you so angry, Eddie would have found it amusing, but this is all so unlike you. Even he can’t believe what he is seeing.
Nobody confronts you about it. Nancy goes out of your way after receiving one too many eyerolls from you. And Steve, he is scared to even ask, scared to touch the ticking time bomb.
But Eddie grows a little frustrated with you when the late afternoon rolls around and you are still being a snappy brat, acting completely out of character.
“I can do this myself. Thank you.” You snap at the brunette you are usually following around like a duckling follows its mother.
Steve huffs at you, unable to hide his frustration this time but before he can even respond to you, you grab the basket of dirty clothes that he just took from your hands and stomp away, making your way down to the lake to wash them.
“Sunshine!” Steve calls after you as he throws his hands up, watching you walk down the hill. He runs a hand through his hair, exhaling loudly before he curses under his breath. “What is her problem…”
Eddie’s face flickers with sympathy.
Who would have thought that your cold shoulder would be this… cold?
He places his hand on his shoulder, giving him a tight lipped smile.
“I don’t know what I did…” Steve murmurs, not hiding the vulnerability on his face.
“You’re not the only one getting this treatment from her…” Eddie chuckles softly, shrugging. “I think she’s really just having a bad day.”
Steve shakes his head in return.
“No. It’s gotta be something…” Steve mumbles as he furrows his eyebrows, trying to remember if it was something he said or did. “At first I thought it was because of Nance and I… she didn’t know that we used to be together, but we talked about it before she went to sleep and she was fine…”
Eddie winces at that, just like he did the night before when he saw how you reacted to that revelation. He knows you like Steve. He isn’t blind. It’s written all over your face every time you look at him, but Steve is clueless about it, painfully so.
“Maybe it took some time to process that information…” Eddie shrugs.
“But why would she be mad at that…?” Steve frowns as he knits his eyebrows together strongly.
Eddie almost wants to laugh. Yeah, that former playboy has got to be the most clueless guy in history.
“Did you talk about something else with her…?” Eddie steers the topic away from his history with Nancy.
Steve purses his lips as he looks down into the snow that is melting due to the warm sun.
He shrugs as he brings his hand up to his hair again, running his fingers through it.
“We just… I talked to her about Robin, about how lonely I felt after she died… before she came along.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah… I don’t know, maybe she’s just… missing her family.”
Eddie nods. He slowly looks in the direction you have left. He now understands why you are acting this way.
“Hey, listen, I’m gonna go talk to her and you get started on dinner, alright?” Eddie says, looking at his friend intently. “Bet she’s gonna be even worse if she doesn’t eat.” He chuckles, trying to make him smile.
But Steve’s lip only twitches lightly.
“Yeah… Okay.” Steve nods, hoping that a talk with Eddie might lift your mood – although he can’t help but feel a little hurt and sour if he does get through to you.
Eddie pats his shoulder one more time before he walks away, following you to the lake.
He squints his eyes as the sun shines brightly into his face. The warmth of it feels nice for a change, though. He hopes that it will get warmer from now on. The urge to throw his winter jacket off and away feels strong.
Just like it does for you.
You aren’t even wearing yours anymore. You ditched it next to the basket of dirty laundry. At least the pastel yellow scarf is still around your neck, along with a sweater that looks way too big on you.
You are crouched before the lake, washing one of Steve’s t-shirts… angrily.
Eddie clears his throat as he approaches you, making you freeze for a second before you continue.
“Hey…” Eddie mumbles awkwardly as he stops beside you with his hands in his pockets.
“Hey.”
You don’t even look up at him. He can see that your jaw is clenched and that you are still huffing.
Eddie can sense the death glare he is about to get from you, and a part of him feels nervous, even though he sees you as no threat at all.
“Um… what’s going on?” He asks as he looks at the shirt you are washing in anger, the pink cleaning gloves shining brightly under the sun.
“With what?”
“You are acting angry.” Eddie retorts without missing a beat.
“I’m not angry.” You lie. You are angry. You are hurt. And through the haze, you cannot see the impact it left on the three so far.
"Yes, you are!” Eddie huffs as he crouches down beside you. “Did I– did we overstep with yesterday's game?” He asks, desperately wanting to know what had troubled you this much.
“No, Eddie.” You grumble as you stop your task for a moment and turn to look at him. The concern in his eyes makes guilt rush through you. “I just woke up in a bad mood. Can’t I be in a bad mood every once in a while?”
“I mean, yeah, you can,” he nods awkwardly. “It’s just weird to see… that’s all.”
“Well, get the fuck used to it because that’s how human bodies work.” You roll your eyes before you look back into the cold water.
Eddie clenches his jaw in annoyance. He feels a bit surprised by the attitude you continue to give him.
“Okay, enough of this.” He finally grows frustrated. “What the fuck happened when you and Steve went to sleep last night? Did he do something he shouldn’t?”
You freeze.
Growing flustered at the way he worded it, you can’t help but flush all over, which in return, leaves you feeling even angrier.
You get up with the shirt in your hand and turn to face him, frowning.
“No! He didn’t do anything! What does Steve have to do with anything?” You shrug at him.
Eddie stands up as well, taking a step closer to you.
“Because before going to bed you were completely fine, and today you are being a cunt!”
Your jaw falls slack, your eyes flashing with disbelief as you frown angrier than you did all day.
Eddie would have laughed at the expression on your face if this weren’t so serious.
“A cunt!?”
“Yeah! And I would like to know why!” He throws his hands up, growing frustrated with you. “I thought we were best friends, sweetheart! I thought we talk to each other when shit bothers you!”
A flash of guilt rushes through you, and your angry expression fades for a second. Your shoulders slump as your cheeks heat up.
The hurt is still there, burning stronger than before now. You look down into the grass that comes through the snow again. You take deep breaths and contemplate on how to open up, on how to say things without exposing too much, without exposing your feelings and the pain that you have felt since yesterday night.
It all boiled up and you woke up in anger this morning.
Steve and Nancy. Steve and Robin.
It all reminded you of all your failed friendships and your failed relationship. It reminded you of all the moments you have spent playing the placeholder without knowing it, of all the one sided love you have had in the past, platonic and romantic. You thought it would be different this time. You felt that it would be different this time.
But of course not, you were a fool once again.
Even with him, Eddie. He called you a best friend when it isn’t the truth, maybe it is to you, but not to him. Nancy is his best friend, of course she is. They have known each other longer. You came along months, years after they had gotten this close. So, you can’t even be mad or hurt.
But it makes you feel bad. You know if a choice had to be made for whatever reason, it would never be you. Not to him, not to anyone.
And it makes you feel worse to think of him. You thought that he could be the one, a best friend. You even ignored the part that wanted him as something more. You were happy to have him just like this. You were so lost in the delusion that you didn’t realize that you were nothing but a reminder of her, someone he could play pretend with.
Why else would he have risked his life for you?
He didn’t want to lose you because he would lose her a second time.
Tears build up in your eyes as it all comes through you once more. You don’t want him to see, and you don’t want to cry in front of him, so you keep your eyes on the ground.
“I just found out stuff that I think I should have known a while ago… I’ve been traveling with you for months, and I just now found out that Nancy was the girl that was with Steve…? That she was the girl who cheated on him?” You ask, swallowing the sour taste on your tongue.
It all clicks in his head.
“So… this is all because of jealousy?”
You snap your head up, glaring at him.
“Jealousy!?” You shriek, causing him to rub his ears as he winces in pain.
“No need for that screech, that fucking hurt–”
You throw the wet t-shirt at him, not giving him the time to react before it slams wetly against his chest and his chin, making him stumble back in surprise.
“What the–”
You turn on your heel, abandoning the laundry and him as you stomp away in anger, not giving him any time to react to your sudden outburst.
Eddie frowns in disgust as he looks at the wet shirt. He scrunches his face up, furrowing his eyebrows as he looks up.
“Where are you going!?”
You only flip him off in return after throwing those pink gloves on the ground, leaving him in shock yet again.
“Jesus Christ…” He mumbles, shaking his head.
He wants to go after you, but he knows that he will only make it worse. So, as Steve had told him before, he gives you space. Though he can’t help but feel concerned as you walk further away from him.
He looks up at the hill, preparing for the anger on Steve’s face when he comes back without you.
-
You need space. You need a moment to yourself, a moment to breathe. You needed to escape. Ever since you were a kid, every time you had gotten into a conflict or felt hurt because of something, you stormed away, escaping into the sunflower field behind your house or any flower field you could find in reach. It always calmed you down, it always gave you comfort, to be surrounded by nature, to be by yourself, even if just for a moment.
You found no flower field out here but you found a little clearing, a peaceful little place where you could find some alone time. But now that the anger you felt all day slowly began to fade, the guilt started slipping in for how you treated everyone – even if you are still hurt about absolutely everything.
You are picking at the lilac hair tie, frowning at it.
You will never be her.
And you will never be as special to him as she was to him.
You will never be anything more than a replacement.
And you are pretty sure that even as that, you are still easily replaceable, no matter how much you remind him of her.
Your eyes burn once again, and the feeling in your chest that had been suffocating you since last night becomes worse.
You hate to admit that this hurts you more than any of your past friendship breakups. These people, these three random people that you would have never run into if it wasn’t for the end of the world, have stolen your heart and creeped their way into it so quickly, becoming so important to you that you would do anything for them.
You wonder if they’d do the same… just for you and not because you remind them of anyone.
“Sunshine.”
His soft voice doesn’t even startle you, but you still flinch.
You can feel his eyes on you.
“I’ve looked for you everywhere.” He states.
You can hear the concern in his voice along with a hint of anger.
You take a deep breath before you tilt your head up to look at him. He is standing a few feet away from you. Worry and confusion are written all over his face. He is frowning at you, holding your jacket in his hand that you abandoned when you escaped from Eddie after throwing the wet shirt at him – you will have to apologize…
“Well, here I am.” You grumble, feeling bitter all over when you look into the hazel eyes you have come to adore so much.
Steve clenches his jaw at the tone in your voice. He looks down at you, how you sit against the tree, snapping the hair tie against your wrist. Your face is still tense, still bothered.
“Are you trying to get sick again?” He grumbles as he makes his way over to you, handing you the jacket.
He halts before your feet, his boots knocking against yours. You look up at him through your lashes. You breathe in, and he expects nothing less than another huff from you.
Steve raises his eyebrows at you, nodding his jaw at your jacket, urging you to take it.
“I’m not cold–”
“Put the damn jacket on, Sunshine.” He demands, the frustration clear in his voice.
You push yourself up, patting the back of your legs to remove any dirt you might have sat on. Bitterness curses through your veins to feel him so close, to feel his eyes on you, to feel his anger.
“I think I can take care of myself, Steve.” You grumble in response as you grab the jacket from his hand and make your way past him.
Steve feels a pang in his chest. He hoped that you had calmed down, that you would talk to him now about whatever is bothering you, but you are clearly still not in the mood.
“Can you? Because you dropped everything and stomped away like a bratty child.” He mumbles in irritation.
You are not telling anyone what’s your problem and instead of talking about it, you threw a wet shirt at Eddie – which honestly made Steve feel a little satisfied, knowing that you got mad at him too.
You turn around to face him, frowning at his question. A mixture of emotions ripples through you, anger and hurt. That one word goes through your head like a broken record since last night, and it just got louder. Immature, immature, immature. That’s what he thinks of you. That’s what everyone thinks of you. And it bothers you, it hurts you but it especially hurts to know that this is how he feels about you.
You want to laugh for letting yourself fall for him, for thinking that he could see you as something other than this.
“Well, I don’t need anyone checking on me or looking after me,” you snap back as you point at your chest. “I wanted space, I wanted a fucking moment to myself but none of you respect me! I’m not a goddamn puppy and I’m not a child! I can handle my own – in case you don’t remember, I was on my own for a whole year!”
Steve draws back at your outburst. He lowers his head as guilt rushes through him. Though the guilt isn’t enough to mend the frustration in him.
He clenches his jaw, looking at you intensely as he places his hands on his hips.
“Don’t do that, Sunshine. We respect you, you know that.” He says through gritted teeth as your anger seems to infect him as well. “But clearly you don’t respect us.”
Your eyes widen, and your lips part.
“Excuse me?” You tilt your head to the side, challenging him.
He takes a step closer to you, not realizing just how much of your personal space he is invading and how his eyes flicker to your parted lips.
“You heard me.” He mumbles as he now towers over you. “If you respected us, you would have told us– you would have told me what’s bothering you. I thought we were friends, I thought you and I… could talk about anything to each other.”
‘You and I’. You hate the way your heart flutters at that, like it means anything to him, like it’s something.
He takes a step closer to you, his hands itching to reach out to you, to grab your hands, to hold them like he did before. Instead, he clenches his fists to hold himself back.
You gulp, swallowing the lump in your throat. You hesitate as you look into his eyes. The truth lies on the tip of your tongue, but you are too afraid to speak it out loud, to tell him how much it hurt you to find out about him and Nancy, about Robin.
“Nothing is bothering me, I’m just having a bad day.” You lie through gritted teeth.
He can see right through you. Your left eye twitches when you lie.
“Don’t lie to me,” Steve warns you, glaring into your eyes. “We both know that’s bullshit.”
“It’s not.” You clench your jaw, gripping your jacket tighter.
“Tell me the truth.” Steve demands, growing restless and impatient.
It’s not only his anger that shines through his eyes, it’s the desperation. And if you weren’t so blinded by your insecurities, you would see how much it kills him to receive this cold shoulder from you, you would see just how much he cares, that this is why he wants to know. Because he wants to fix it, because he wants to be there for you, to make it better.
“Or what?” You glare at him, anger and sadness mixing, resulting in an explosion. “You’re gonna call me an immature little girl again? Tell me that my family is dead?” You ask as tears well up in your eyes, and you can’t help but hate yourself for that, for wanting to cry when you want to look brave.
“Don’t do this now…” He begs as his eyes fill with guilt.
But you are not done.
“Tell me that I remind you of your best friend? That this was the only reason why you even gave me a chance…? Because you saw her in me? … And now I’m a placeholder to you and a joke to everyone else?”
Steve feels like a bucket of ice cold water was dumped over his head. His eyes widen, and he draws back, staring at you, bewildered. His heart drops to his stomach, his chest aching when he takes in the tears in your eyes and the hurt written across your face now that the anger was finally put into words.
The tension and the anger in him melting right off. His shoulders slump, and his eyes soften and fill with sadness. The guilt in him is worsening now. This is what you think? This is what you feel?
You were never that. There was not a single moment where he thought that about you, where he saw you as a replacement, where he thought of you as a placeholder to Robin. He didn’t realize how wrongly his words came across and the impact they left on you.
He knows of your past, of the failed friendships, of the shitty first boyfriend you had. How they all made you feel. How they only needed you when no one else was around, how you were the last choice without realizing it, how you kept playing the placeholder for everyone you saw as a close friend or even a best friend. He was so angry at all of them when you opened up to him, and now he led you to believe that he felt just the same as they did about you.
Steve watches the way a tear slips down your cheek, and he wants nothing more than to wipe it away and pull you into his arms, apologize for how much he hurt you with that wrong impression he left on you.
“Sunshine…” Steve whispers as his hazel eyes soften at the sight of your sadness.
Though you don’t give him the chance to explain himself. You don’t need him to lie to make you feel better, and you need no sympathy. You wipe your tears in anger and turn on your heel, walking away… again.
You can hear the frustrated sigh that falls from his lips as he says your name softly.
“Wait… please don’t do this,” he murmurs behind you as his footsteps echo. He follows you, contemplating reaching out to you, to grab your hand and pull you back to him, to make you listen, to put it through that thick head of yours that you are not a placeholder, that you could never be one, never.
“It’s okay, Steve. I get it now.” You mumble, your voice still filled with bitterness.
Frustration builds up in him again. You won’t listen, not so easily.
Steve rushes up to you, grasping your upper arm gently, he stops you and turns you back around, forcing you to face him again.
Your glassy eyes meet his, and you don’t hesitate to open your mouth again, but he beats you to it.
“Listen to me, Sunshine.”
But you don’t. You don’t listen to him. Your ears pick up a different sound, one that you can’t make out so well. You furrow your eyebrows and tilt your head to the side. For a moment, all your troubled emotions flee away.
“You were never–” Steve pauses when he takes in the change of your expression, when he notices the concentration in your eyes.
“What is it…?” He frowns in concern as he begins to look around you both, realizing that he let his guard down, that he didn’t bother to look around and make sure that nothing was creeping up on the two of you.
“Do you hear that?” You whisper as you take in the struggling sound of someone, something.
Steve instantly reaches for the gun in his belt, but you stop him. You place your hand on his and shake your head at him.
“No… just listen…” You whisper as you blink your tears away.
He can’t look away from that, from the tears in your eyes and the pain he had caused without meaning to.
You furrow your brows deeper as you look around.
It sounds like a whine, a pained whimper coming from somewhere close. You turn towards it, hesitating for just a second before you move.
Steve can’t even react as you turn around and escape his touch.  You start running, making your way towards those sounds, ready to jump straight into danger.
“Sunshine!” He whispers, not wasting a second to follow you as you further make your way into the forest. “You don’t know what’s out there, you can’t just–”
But you don’t listen. Of course you don’t. Instead, you pick up the pace, following the sound without hesitation. Moving past the trees and the bushes, making your way down the small hill that leads you to a small waterfall and a big stream that is moving fast.
You halt in your tracks as you look around, and when you find the source of the sound, your eyes widen.
Right there by the shore, there is a fallen tree lying in the water, broken branches sticking into every direction. You see the tiny paws holding onto it, the fur wet from the river. The tiny wolf cub is holding on for dear life, but the water is moving fast, too fast for a pup to save itself from it.
You don’t waste any time jumping into action, ignoring Steve’s calls as you make your way down to the river. You throw your jacket on the ground and lean down to take off your boots, undoing your laces quickly. You never take your eyes off the cub, scared that the stream will take it.
Steve halts in his tracks behind you after he catches up. He freezes when you throw your scarf and your sweatshirt off before your hands find their way to your belt, watching how you undress yourself before the water.
“I– what…” He mumbles in confusion, not even noticing the cub in the water. “What the hell are you doing, Sunshine!?”
“I’m not gonna let the cub die!” You cry out as you point at it.
“I–” Steve’s words get caught in his throat when he notices the struggling wolf pup. His heart breaks at the sight before him, and he instantly jumps forward as well, ready to get into that icy water.
The clinking of your belt brings his attention back to you. He stares in disbelief as you take your pants off, stripping down to your underwear.
“Whoa, wait!” He holds his hands up, ignoring the way his cheeks flush at your bare skin, at the lace covering your skin. “The water is cold! You are still coming down from your cold – sunshine!”
You stumble away before he can grab your arm and stop you. You dip your feet into the water, and you can’t help but wince at the coldness of it. Shivers rise up on your skin instantly, and you shudder strongly. You know this will hurt after. You know this might make you sick again, but you can’t bring yourself to think and worry about it now.
Steve’s stomach drops as he watches you get in the water. He brings his hands up to his hair, clutching it anxiously as he clenches his jaw.
You will be the death of him.
He makes his way down to the shore, ready to jump in after you in case something happens.
“I can’t believe you…” He mutters under his breath as he watches you anxiously.
“Hey,” you whisper to the cub with a shivering voice as you take another step into the water, grateful for the tree for slowing down the stream on this spot. You just hope that it won’t get too deep, not wanting to get into the coldness with your whole body.
The cub whimpers loudly which leads you to move faster, desperately wanting to save it.
“I’m coming,” you whisper as you take another step, now standing knee deep inside of it. Your whole body is trembling by now.
The water, this spot would’ve been a nice little place if it wasn’t so goddamn cold.
Steve’s concerned face winces when he sees just how much you are shivering already. He wants to scold you, to grab you and yell at you for being so stupid.
“Be careful.”
Your hands touch the water when the next step nearly envelopes you fully. A gasp falls from your lips when the water touches your stomach. You need to move fast, and you need to get out of here quickly. The cub is in reach now, and you don’t waste any more time, taking a tiny step closer, you reach out to it, wrapping your hands around it, you pull it towards you, cupping the tiny animal against your chest.
Steve watches intently as he takes his jacket off. A sigh of relief leaves his lips when you save the cub and start making your way out.
The ends of your hair are wet, water dripping down your bare back. Your skin is covered in goosebumps. You are freezing.
“I got you,” you whisper as you look down at it. Its paws cling to your bra straps, claws digging into your skin a little as it shivers and whimpers against you. “I got you… baby.”
Steve’s stressed figure stands by the shore, his face is etched with nothing but desperation. The second you are in reach, he grabs your waist and pulls you outside, unable to hide the angry frown on his face as he turns you around, forcing you to face him again.
Not even a minute in the water and your lips are purple and trembling. Your skin is ice cold.
“You are crazy, Sunshine.” He grumbles as he wraps his jacket around your shivering body. And then… he wraps his arms around your body, enveloping you with his arms completely, pulling you into his warm embrace. He places his chin on the top of your head, holding you tightly as he rubs your back, trying to warm you up. “Absolutely crazy.” He mumbles and closes his eyes.
You bury your face in his chest, melting into his touch with ease. You welcome his warmth and press yourself against him. The cub is between yours and his chest now, enveloped by warmth.
“Don’t ever do that again, you hear me?” He says as he holds you tighter.
You risked your life. You risked your life for an animal, knowing what it could lead to again. You are so good, too good for this world. And it fills him with fear because you jump into danger without thinking, not caring about yourself.
And despite the concern it leaves him with, his heart flutters and warms at your action. You are so selfless and loving.
You nod against him as your teeth clatter. You close your eyes and fall into him, embracing the warmth of his body.
“I got you,” Steve whispers into your hair as he tightens his hold on you. “I got you, Sunshine.”
You breathe heavily against him, taking deep breaths. You search for his warmth, pressing yourself tighter against him and in return he pulls you even closer.
“God… you’re so cold.” He whispers in concern as he continues to rub your arms and your back.
The pup between you is shivering just as much, but it’s whines get quieter as it curls into your chest.
“Can’t believe you did this.” Steve mumbles as he cups the back of your head.
“Couldn’t let this baby drown,” you whisper against him as you press your head against the spot over his heart, unknowingly making it flutter.
You don’t know how much time passes as you stand there in his embrace, but you find yourself wishing that you could stay like this forever. It feels nice to be in his arms, it feels safe and warm. Despite what happened before, you don’t want this moment to end.
You know that this is nothing to him, that this is just a way of warming you up just like that night you spent in the car before you got sick. But your heart ignores your mind.
But Steve, he doesn’t want to let you go. It feels nice, it feels right to hold you. His heart feels… alive. His skin is burning from where you’re touching him. Your scent, your touch, is driving him crazy. Your cold shoulder was driving him insane all day, making him sour yet sad. And now he suddenly feels calm. With you in his arms, he feels content, like there is nothing else in this world that he needs. Absolutely nothing.
It’s at this moment that he realizes that he is screwed.
His heart skips a beat when you lay your hand over it.
Yeah, totally screwed.
Your words from before echo in his head, filling him with dread and sadness, knowing how you felt all day, knowing why you behaved so coldly.
Steve opens his eyes and he looks down at you, bringing his hands to your face, he cups your cheeks as he whispers your name, “can you look at me for a second?”
You hesitate for a moment, standing still for a few seconds before you look up at him.
He nearly feels his knees buckle from the vulnerability in your eyes.
He briefly looks at the pup in your arms, watching the way it buries itself against you, feeling safe in your embrace. His heart warms at the sight.
He keeps holding your cheeks, his eyes returning to gaze into yours. He takes a deep breath as he looks at you intensely.
“Listen to me,” he whispers, caressing your cheek with his thumb. “You were never ever a placeholder, you were never a replacement for Robin or anyone else for that matter.”
Your eyebrows furrow as your lips pucker, “but…”
Steve shakes his head at you, “I never meant it like that when I said that you remind me of her. I never saw her in you. You are not some sort of ghost of Robin, Honey.” He promises, telling you nothing but the truth. “Your rambling reminded me of hers, that’s why it was so hard for me to be around you at first. Robin would talk my ear off about the most random things, you did that too and I just thought ‘god… these two together would be the death of me’ cause I know that she would have loved you.”
“Oh…”
Steve can still see the insecurity flashing in your eyes, the way you struggle to believe him. And he so badly wants you to believe him, to trust him.
These days, he struggles to be vulnerable, to show feelings, to let them in… but if that’s what he’s gotta do in order for you to believe him, then he will let his guard down for a moment.
“But in no way were you ever a placeholder. I promise that I have never thought that of you. You are not Robin, and I don’t want you to be her. I like you, I like you for who you are. I like you for how you constantly hit me with the most random facts, for how you stay so hopeful and cheerful despite everything, for how kind you are despite this world, for jumping straight into ice cold water to save this cub.” His cheeks are flushed, and his stomach is filled with nerves. “And you’re not an immature little girl, Sunshine. You are probably the smartest, the strongest of us all. I admire you and for how this world hasn’t tainted you in the slightest.” He admits, feeling his heart race in his chest, and he also fuels it when he brings his hand higher up your face to brush away the stray hair that covers your eye.
Your breath hitches in your throat, your cheeks burn beneath his touch. You don’t even feel the cold anymore, not even the sadness nor the anger from before.
Your heart races strongly in your chest, filling with hope yet again. The rejection, the disappointment that flushed through you before, just vanishes with ease. The look in his eyes makes you feel engulfed in nothing but warmth. The tension in your whole body disappears.
Were you wrong after all?
Did you misunderstand everything he said?
Did the past really leave such an impact on you?
“Y-You… You admire me?” Out of all the questions you could ask, this is the only one you can come up with.
Steve’s lip twitches, curling into a small smile. His eyes soften as he continues to look into your eyes. He found his favorite color.
“Yeah, we all do.” Steve nods. “In case you haven’t noticed.”
You furrow your eyebrows, and you shake your head slightly. His hand never leaves your face.
“Oh…”
Steve’s heart aches a little at your question, at the vulnerability in your eyes, at the confusion because you don’t understand what could make you so admirable.
You want to ask why, but you don’t, not knowing if you can keep the tears away right now.
“I’m sorry for the way I worded things last night, for making you feel that way. I never meant to hurt you, and I never wanted you to feel like you’re some kind of replacement for my best friend. You are not and you never will be. She was special to me. You are too,” he admits, biting back his embarrassment as he gives you a glimpse of how he feels about you.
Your eyes widen at his confession, and your heart jumps in joy.
You know… You know that this could mean something else again, that it might not be what you want it to be. That he means it platonically. She was special, but she was a best friend, there was only platonic love, nothing more, it could be like that with you.
And yet, you want it to be more, you hope it to be more.
Your lips part as you stare at him, as you gaze into the eyes you are falling for with no way of stopping it. Your eyes flicker to his lips, making his breath hitch in his throat, making his heart flutter and his cheeks flush.
His eyes move from your own eyes to your lips, to the scar on your shoulder, and the softness of your neck. His hands itch to touch you more.
The air between you changes, tension building, but not like before. This is different, this makes you both feel hot but not from anger, no, from something else.
You are so beautiful, painfully so. He could look at you forever, and he’d only want to look at you more.
Steve leans closer without realizing. Your breath hits his lips, and suddenly he has to fight the urge to close the gap between you.
You blink as you gaze into his eyes. You stop breathing, the beating of your heart is so strong, you fear that he can feel it against his own chest.
The energy between you is burning, the yearning so deep, so strong. It would only take for you to close the gap between you to feel his lips on your own.
But you are afraid to make the first move, and he doesn’t make it either.
Steve wonders what could have been if he had met you sooner. If somehow he would have found his way to New York and run into you in one of your favorite coffee shops or bakeries. He would have noticed you right away, he would have wasted no time to make a move on you, to ask you out.
But he is not that guy anymore. He is not who he used to be.
“We should get back to the others.” He blurts out. “We gotta get you warmed up better.”
Disappointment floods through you, but you nod, holding back your sigh. “Yeah…” You murmur and look down at the cub who got comfortable in your embrace. “Hold it for me?”
“Yeah… Yeah of course.” Steve mumbles, clearing his throat as he avoids your eyes. He takes the cub from your hands, holding it gently as he brings it towards his chest. “Hey buddy.” He smiles at the furry baby, cupping the small head.
You smile as you watch him. Your heart melts at the sight of the cub curling against him.
You force your gaze away from him and turn to your clothes. You take his jacket off as you lean down to pick up your pants off the ground. You start to get dressed, unaware of the way his eyes find their way back to you.
Steve can’t look away from the lace covering your skin or the way your hair falls down your back. it's gotten so much longer in the past few months. Your skin looks so soft, his hands itching to touch it so badly. He knows it would feel so good, so right to hold you, to feel you against him, to feel your bare skin against his.
The whine coming from the cub in his arms pulls him out of his thoughts. He looks down, finding its dark eyes looking up at him. His cheeks flushed red when it dawns on him what he had just daydreamed about.
He clears his throat, cursing at himself inwardly.
“Okay…” You mumble as you turn back around, unfolding your scarf, you hold it against your chest. “Come here, I’ll wrap him… or her up.”
Steve hums, still looking down, not wanting to expose his blushing cheeks. He steps towards you and hands you the cub, helping you wrap the scarf around it.
“Hey, you’re fine, baby.” You giggle when it wiggles in your hands.
Steve’s heart flutters at that sound. He looks at you, his lips curling as he watches the way you pull the cub against your chest, cradling it the way you would a baby. Oh boy. Something else inside of him stirs.
“Come on…” You whisper to him. “Grab the jackets, please?”
“Why didn’t you put on your jacket?” He frowns, only now realizing that you’re only in your sweater. He huffs as he picks up both jackets, he puts yours under his left arm and throws his own around you.
“What—“
“I’m not cold right now.” And he likes the way it looks on you. He likes that your scent will stay on his jacket.
“Now let’s go,” he mumbles as he places his hand on your back. “We need to get you both to the fire.”
“Yeah…” You nod as you start walking. “Do you think the mother is around?”
Steve shrugs, looking around the forest surrounding the river.
“If she was, she would have been here by now… maybe something happened, maybe she’s dead.”
You frown at that, looking down sadly, “I hope not.”
“Yeah… c’mon.” He whispers, wrapping his arm around your shoulder — to give you warmth of course, for no other reason. His stomach flutters when you lean into him, no longer tense with anger or bitterness.
You walk in silence. The tension between you is gone and your anger has faded away, but you feel guilty for how you treated him.
“Steve?”
“Yeah?” He looks down at you, noticing the troubled expression.
“I’m sorry for how I treated you…” You apologize without hesitating.
His heart warms at your apology, at the soft look in your eyes.
“It’s okay, Honey.”
The pet name makes you blush strongly. You like that he calls you that.
“I was mean…”
“I didn’t even know you had it in you,” Steve chuckles, patting your shoulder. “I can’t believe you threw a wet shirt at Eddie.”
You wince at that, but Steve’s eyes glint with amusement, and he seems to be satisfied with your action.
“You like that I did that, don’t you?”
He nods, smirking, “yeah, actually.”
You huff, but you can’t hold back your chuckle.
The rest of the way back to the RV is spent in comfortable silence. You pass by the lake to find the basket of clothes gone. Nancy must have finished your task.
The thought of her leaves you feeling guilty too. You’ve been horrible to her as well. And yet… a part of you still feels bitter to think of her, to know now that it was she who hurt Steve so much.
You avert your eyes from her when you make it back. Her concerned expression is directed at you.
“You’ve been away for so long!” Nancy says as she gets up from her camping chair. “Is everything okay?”
Eddie turns around to face you, looking away from the pot he is stirring soup in.
Steve nods at her, “yeah, we’re okay.”
Eddie furrows his eyebrows when he notices the fur sticking out from behind the scarf you’re holding.
“What… What do you have there!?” He asks, rushing towards you. His eyes widen when he sees the cub. “Holy shit! Is that a… a wolf!?”
“What!?” Nancy gasps behind him.
“A wolf pup, yeah.” You nod as you caress its little head.
Steve’s eyes flicker back and forth between your face and the animal.
“She jumped into the water to save it…” Steve explains.
Eddie’s jaw drops, and he looks between you and the pup, impressed.
Nancy’s eyes widen, and she makes his way over to you, concern is written all over her face.
“Oh my god, are you crazy?” She exclaims, eying your body. She only now notices Steve’s jacket wrapped around your shoulders. “You just got better!”
“I’m fine, Nancy…” You murmur softly. “Steve… gave me his jacket.”
“But the water is freezing! You must still be cold!”
The worry in her voice makes you feel even worse, making the guilt much more intense.
“Come on, let’s sit by the fire!” She says as she wraps her arm around you, glancing at the pup who is looking around curiously. “Eddie cooked soup, I’ll get you a bowl in a sec.”
Eddie and Steve watch as Nancy takes care of you, wrapping a blanket around you before she fetches you a bowl of soup. You don’t look up at her once, keeping your head low and your eyes trained on the ground or at the pup in your arms.
“So… is she still throwing shirts around or…?” Eddie mutters, narrowing his eyes at Steve.
“No, we talked it out…”
“Oh?” Eddie raises his eyebrow, turning to face him, noticing the sadness in his eyes.
“Yeah…” Steve whispers, scratching the back of his neck. “I’ll tell you more later but… she misunderstood some things I said. She was hurt.”
“Oh…” Eddie whispers, looking back at you. You certainly look more relaxed than you did before; your expression is soft, and there is a soft smile on your face as you pet the pup. “Shit…”
“Yeah…” Steve whispers, looking back at you as well. “I think she’s okay now…”
You cradle the pup against your chest and lean back, wrapping the blanket tighter around you both.
Both men watch you, smiles appearing on their faces. Eddie cannot help but blurt out the first thing that comes to mind.
“Cute.”
Steve turns back to Eddie, his smile fading a bit. A weird pang spreading across his chest.
Eddie smirks, chuckling at the expression on his friend’s face.
“Don’t worry, she’s all yours.” Eddie grins, bumping his shoulder with his own. “Look at the way she is holding that pup. Bet you’re thinking about putting some babies into her—“
“Dude!” Steve frowns, slapping his shoulder.
The metalhead winces in pain, holding his shoulder, “What’s it with you lovebirds and hitting me today!?” He yells in a whisper, frowning.
“You deserved that!” Steve rolls his eyes as he makes his way to the RV.
Though Steve didn’t question before why you hit Eddie in the first place, what he said to you for you to even do that.
Did he tease you too?
Did he make some sexual comments?
Did he comment on your lack of experience?
Or did he tease you about him the way Eddie always teases him about you?
“Are we keeping the pup?” Eddie calls out before Steve makes his way inside. “Guys?”
-
Nancy feels your cold shoulder the most. While you talk to Steve and Eddie again, you still don’t even talk to her, only when you have to.
It’s making the pit grow in her stomach. She wonders what she said or did wrong for you to feel such sudden resentment towards her.
It’s been killing her all day, but even worse now that she witnessed you acting normal with the guys again.
You have become a close friend in these past few months, if not her best friend. She never had someone like that again, not after Barb.
She felt hope when she met Robin, hoping to find a best friend in her, but it turned into something more. It was so very different with her. She fell in love with her, slowly but very deeply. The love suffocated her because, for the longest time, she believed it was one-sided, that the other girl could never feel that way about her.
It turned out that she was wrong about it and that she had wasted too much time worrying.
She wishes she had talked to her sooner, wishing she could have had more time with her.
She won’t make these mistakes again, she won’t wait for the last moments.
So when dinner is over and the night rolls around, she asks Steve to give her a moment with you, so she can talk to you. She didn’t even question him, knowing that you’ve talked to him about whatever troubled you all day.
He agrees, not even hesitating to. He grabs all the dishes and forces Eddie to clean up with him in the RV, leaving her alone with you.
It’s quiet between you, only the crackle of the fire surrounds you both. The pup is sleeping in your lap, engulfed by your warmth and your scarf, along with the blanket she wrapped around you before.
Nancy takes a seat beside you, breathing in nervously.
“Hey…”
You stop caressing the pup, turning to face her slowly, you give her a tight lipped smile, “hey…”
“Why are you so mad at me…?” Nancy asks, throwing it out.
You tense at her question, and it doesn’t go unnoticed by her.
“I’m not.”
The frustration that’s been building up all day boils over, and she huffs at you.
“Bullshit!”
A frown appears on your face. You tense up further. You know all about how that ex-girlfriend of his called him that, hurt him with that. You could have never guessed it was her.
“Is that the only word you know?” You snap, unable to hide your anger.
Nancy looks taken aback, and it’s more than evident. Her lips part, and her eyes flash with confusion.
“I— what…? I-I use it a lot but… what’s your problem?”
“My problem, Nancy? I’ve been traveling with you guys for months, months! And none of you bothered to tell me that you and Steve used to date. That you were the girl who cheated on him and dumped him!”
The shock is written all over her face, along with the shame. She knits her eyebrows together, slowly shaking her head.
“I-I… that was so long ago, and it was meaningless—“
“How can you say that about him?” You ask in disbelief, feeling the anger burning hotly once again.
The realization sinks in quickly. It never took her long to put two and two together.
“I… Am I getting the signals wrong, or does it sound like you like Steve…?” She asks, careful to be quiet so Steve doesn’t hear in case he is listening.
Your cheeks heat up, and you instantly avoid her eyes, giving yourself away.
“I don’t… I respect him, but it sounds like you don’t! I bet… I bet he didn’t deserve what you did to him and yet…”
She cuts you off, shaking her head at you.
“What happened between Steve and me in the past does not resemble who we are now. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you of our history, but we both moved on from it a long time ago. It doesn’t matter in this present time anymore. I… We both didn’t think of telling you because it truly doesn’t matter anymore.” She says, looking at you intensely.
Her words fill you with relief. He already told you that he felt nothing for her anymore, but you didn’t know where her feelings stood, even with her confession about Robin.
“But why did you cheat on him…?” You ask, disappointed. “Why did you do that to him?”
She sighs, and her shoulders slump. She knows how awful it was, how wrong it was to do what she did.
“I… there is no excuse for what I did. We were on a rough patch together, and I… I found comfort in someone else. I fell for someone else…”
Jonathan. She told you about him before, you just never knew the start of their history.
“That’s so wrong Nancy!” You frown.
You know exactly what Steve felt like when she did that to him.
“I know it was!” Nancy throws her hands up. The sudden tears in her eyes take you aback.
“I know it fucking is! That’s why I was so afraid of telling Robin how I felt! Breaking up with Jonathan to immediately jump to someone else after I did the exact thing with Steve? I know about my reputation! And look at me now…” She whispers painfully as tears cascade down her cheeks. “I never told Robin that I loved her because I wanted to be sure, because I wanted to take time, because I didn’t want to move too fast the way I did with them… only for them both to be the wrong ones for me… I wanted to do right by her, and now it’s too late. And that is my biggest regret… more than anything else.”
All your anger gets replaced by sadness, by guilt, and pity. You can’t and you don’t want to imagine what she must feel like after losing someone like her.
Your own eyes well up with tears, and the urge to hug her, to hold her, and tell her that you’re sorry grows strong.
With the cub on your lap, you move closer to her, careful not to drop it. You pull her into your arms, pulling her into your embrace. Nancy reciprocates the hug right away, wrapping her arms around you tightly as she continues to cry.
You are a little surprised that she accepted the hug so quickly. She always came across as a little cold, someone who doesn’t seem fond of affection. But now you can’t help but wonder if you got her all wrong. And you also can’t help but wonder if this is the first time someone held her after Robin.
You stay like this for a while, giving her the chance to say more but even after that confession, you know she isn’t quite ready yet, to talk more about her.
“I’m so sorry, Nancy… I’m sorry about everything. I wish you could have told her, I wish you still had her.” You whisper, feeling the guilt consume you now. You close your eyes, holding her tighter as she melts against you. “I-I should have talked to you… I shouldn’t have just–”
“It’s fine,” she whispers, cutting you off. “You’re protective of Steve, so I get why you were so mad at me.”
“I shouldn’t have been… I just… I wish I had known about you and Steve before I got those stupid feelings for him.” You blurt out without meaning to.
Nancy draws back instantly, her blue eyes widen, and her jaw drops at your accidental confession.
“Wait…” She whispers, glancing over at the RV to make sure that it’s still just you and her. “Feelings…? Oh… Oh my god! You like Steve–”
You jump forward and cup your hand over her mouth, shushing her as you grow flustered.
You feel a sliver of regret for letting your mouth run, but another part of you feels relief, for letting them out, for having someone to talk about them now.
Your cheeks are burning, and your ears are too. Your heart starts pounding against your ribcage.
“Yes, I do…” You admit, blushing. “But… He doesn’t like girls like me…” Immature girls. He likes women. That’s what Nancy is. And even if he doesn’t feel anything for her anymore, he once did.
The moment that happened between you two earlier. The hope that lives inside of you doesn’t matter here. You are always hopeful about everything. It doesn’t mean that you will get what you want. You rarely do. You just can’t bring yourself to stop hoping, no matter how many times you fall face first.
“He likes girls like you…”
Nancy’s eyes soften at the vulnerability flashing across your features, at the way your shoulders slump in sadness, fearing that you have no chance with him.
But now she gets it even more, why you behaved the way you did. You were jealous and insecure, comparing yourself with her, leading you to let that monster out.
She can’t help but chuckle as she shakes her head at you. “No, he doesn’t.”
You roll your eyes at her.
She says your name softly as she reaches for your hands in your lap.
“He liked me in high school–”
“And after–”
“No, he didn’t.” Nancy shakes her head. “Trust me, he didn’t. We talked about it years ago, and we moved on from that as soon as we did. Now I can’t even imagine that we used to be together. It feels wrong to even think of that, and he feels the same. He truly feels the same.” She tries to put it through that thick head of yours. She takes a deep breath and opens her mouth again. “And that is gonna sound gross considering we used to date, but You know what Steve feels like to me?”
You raise your eyebrows at her, tilting your head to the side.
She scrunches up her nose and her lips curl downwards in disgust, “he feels like a brother to me now, like an annoying older brother.”
“Oh…” You murmur, your facial expression matching her own. Pure Disgust. And though you can’t help but giggle.
“I know it’s disgusting,” Nancy chuckles as her eyes light up at the crinkle in your eyes. “But that’s how I feel. It’s how he feels too.” She shrugs, holding your hands tighter.
And it does calm you a little, but only a little.
“That… doesn’t mean that he likes me back, though. In fact… I don’t think that I stand a chance.”
“What makes you say that?” She frowns, watching how you look down again. “What if you do have a chance…?”
You roll your eyes again, keeping your eyes trained on the pup. “He once called me insufferable… and I’m also inexperienced. There is nothing that someone like him could want in me.”
“You think your inexperience makes you less attractive, less interesting or something?” Nancy mumbles in confusion, knitting her eyebrows at you.
You shrug.
“That’s… No.” She shakes her head, scoffing. “You are worrying too much about it… Besides, you should have seen the look on his face when you told us that you’re a virgin.”
Her words pique your interest. You haven’t really paid attention to him when you admitted that, you were too flustered to catch his reaction.
You slowly look up at her, your eyes meeting hers again.
“What look…?”
Nancy’s lip curls into a smirk, her eyes flashing with something you can’t read.
“Well… first it was disbelief, like he couldn’t understand how someone like you hasn’t fucked ever before.”
You blush deeply.
“Someone like me?” You ask with a small voice.
Nancy huffs at you, “In case nobody told you, you are hot – like super hot and you are gorgeous too. If you weren’t my best friend, I’d be all up on you.”
“Nancy!” You gasp, blushing even deeper at her words.
She laughs loudly at the flustered look on your face.
“It’s nothing but the truth!”
You are giggling now, looking down with your burning cheeks. You pull the cub closer to you again, snuggling it against your chest.
Nancy gives you a moment, though her eyes never leave your face and the smug smile doesn’t either.
“Second, he looked like he was ready to change that for you… You know, that inexperienced part.”
Nancy laughs loudly when your eyes widen and you try to hide behind your face, growing flustered more than you ever did before.
“N-No he didn’t!” You squeal. Though you can’t deny the fact that her words stir something inside of you, that they don’t fill you with excitement and hope.
Because even if you wouldn’t admit it out loud, you would love it if Steve was the one to be your first… and perhaps your last.
“Oh but he did, sweetie,” Nancy giggles, unable to hide her grin, unable to stop teasing you after this.
You stay outside, sitting beneath the stars and next to the fire with the wolf pup in your lap, unable to stop blushing but also giggling at Nancy’s teasing. For a moment, everything feels so normal, like you are hanging out with your best friend, talking and gushing over your crush.
For a moment, you forget everything that happened today.
For a moment, you let go again.
For a moment everything feels… okay.
Not knowing that tomorrow would change everything.
If only you knew that your hands would be dripping with blood.

summary — reader got a puppy and rafe is not to happy about it at first
warnings — flufff, rafe being a grump
a/n — last post maybe I'm SLUMPED aka tired asf this was a req so thank you anon!(also I'm trying to see what writing style i write better so if this is bad PLEASE lmk)
Tumblr media
Honestly, I thought Rafe was going to have a full-blown meltdown. We'd talked about getting a dog for ages, and I was beyond excited when I finally found the perfect little puppy. I mean, who could resist a ball of fluff with oversized paws and a perpetually wagging tail? Apparently, Rafe could.
"Are you serious?" he grumbled as I carefully placed the carrier on our living room floor. "This…thing…is going to live here?"
"His name is Finn," I said, opening the carrier door. Finn, oblivious to the tension in the room, bounded out, tail whipping against the furniture like a tiny metronome gone wild. He immediately made a beeline for Rafe's feet, sniffing inquisitively.
Rafe recoiled as if he'd been bitten. "It's…sniffing me." "That's what puppies do, ray," I chuckled, kneeling down to pet Finn. His fur was unbelievably soft. "He's just saying hello."
"Well, tell him to sniff from a distance" Rafe said, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. He looked like a grumpy cloud.
The first few days were…an adjustment. Finn was a typical puppy full of energy, sharp little teeth, and an impressive ability to find and chew on anything he wasn't supposed to. My shoes became his favorite teething toys, the corner of our rug mysteriously frayed, and house training was a work in progress, to put it mildly.
Rafe, bless his heart, was not a natural. He'd sigh dramatically every time Finn had an accident, jump when the puppy yipped in his sleep, and seemed perpetually annoyed by the tiny shadow that followed me everywhere.
"He's staring at my ankles" Rafe would complain while he was working.
"He just wants to be part of the family," I'd say, scooping Finn onto my lap.
One evening, I was trying to make dinner while simultaneously keeping Finn from unraveling the roll of paper towels. Rafe was on the couch, attempting to concentrate on a game on his phone, a low growl emanating from him every few minutes. Suddenly, Finn let out a sharp yelp. I turned around to see that he'd gotten his tiny paw stuck under the edge of the coffee table.
Before I could even react, Rafe was on his knees, gently maneuvering the table leg until Finn was free. He checked the puppy's paw, his usual frown replaced with a look of concern.
"Is he okay?" Rafe asked, his voice surprisingly soft. "I think so," I said, relieved. Finn licked Rafe's hand as if to say thank you.
I came home one afternoon to find Rafe sprawled on the floor, a half-asleep Finn nestled on his chest. Rafe was absentmindedly stroking his fur, a small, almost imperceptible smile playing on his lips.
"He's not so bad, I guess," Rafe mumbled when he noticed me.

I feel like lovie can con Leah into anything so one day lovie ask for a dog and she goes up to Leah saying “mama you know how you said you would get me whatever I wanted well I want a puppy can you do it please mama” and Leah can’t say no to her so she comes home with a puppy one day
weak spot | alessia russo x child!reader x leah williamson
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
grumpy masterlist
leah always prided herself on being strong-willed. she could command a defence, lead a team and hold her ground during tough and important matches.
but when it came to you? yeah, she was absolutely useless.
alessia had warned her, of course. "she's four, le. she knows exactly how to get what she wants from you. you have to learn to say no."
leah had just waved her off at the time, convinced she had things under control and that she knew exactly how to say no, like come on it's wasn't that hard after all it was only two letters long.
that was, until one lazy saturday afternoon, a rare break in the footballing calendar where there wasn't any matches but as ever while you and leah enjoyed a relaxing day, alessia was busy running errands she hadn't had time to do through the week.
you climbed into leah's lap, your esme the elephant under you arm as leah was busy reading on her phone. you beginning to play with the hem of her hoodie.
"mama," you started sweetly, looking up at leah with those big impossibly big blue eyes — that leah couldn't seem to say no to.
leah placed her phone down on her chest as she glanced down at you, already sensing danger, "yes, angel?"
"you know how you always say you want me to be happy?"
leah hesitated, unsure at where this was going to go, "uh.. yeah?"
you beamed, inching closer, "well, esme the elephant thinks a puppy would make me so happy." you said resting esme on leah's chest, as leah raised her eyebrows a smirk appearing on her lips.
"esme thinks this does she?"
"well, esme and me”
"can you do it, please. mama?" you pleaded, as you blinked up at her in a way that should have been illegal.
leah was done for.
two days later, leah was walking through the front door with a squirming golden retriever puppy in her arms. alessia who had been peacefully making tea in the kitchen, a smile appearing on her face as she heard the front door open and close behind her knowing exactly who it'd be.
expect that big smile quickly disappeared as she turned around and immediately freezing as her face dropped. alessia's eyes darting from leah to the wiggling ball of fluff in her arms, her mouth falling open.
"leah cathrine williamson." she groaned out loud setting her mug down with excruciating precision, "that better be a friends dog-"
leah's face gave it all away in a moment as she winced at her girlfriend's question, "so, okay, before you get mad—"
"before i get mad?" alessia let out a breath, pinching the bridge of her nose. "you're telling me you just— just walked into a shelter and adopted a dog on your way home from the shops?"
"well, technically i drove there.." leah trailed off. alessia's face less than impressed.
"leah."
leah sighed, shifting the puppy that was in her arms slightly, "listen, less. i tired to say no, i did i promise i really tried." leah began as she stuttered out her words, alessia following along her eyebrows perking ever other word.
"but she looked at me with those eyes and asked and well i admit it, i can't say no to her!" leah lifted the puppy slightly, "and i mean, look at him! that little face. i couldn't say no to that face either-"
alessia slightly amused that leah had finally admitted that she couldn't say no, but her unimpressed demeanour returning as she crossed her arms, "i can say no."
just then the puppy let out a tiny yawn, his ears flopping adorably as he nuzzled further into leah's hoodie, alessia's gaze faltered slightly, her lips twitching.
leah smirked, "mhm, that's what i thought!"
before alessia could argue her case, your little voice squealed from down the hall, probably realising leah was finally home.
"mama, mama, you got him!"
you came running into the room, your socks slipping slightly on the wooden floor as you skidded to a stop in front of leah. your eyes wide with excitement as you reached up to gently cup the puppy's face.
"you got me the puppy!" you gasped, bouncing on your toes before throwing your little arms around leah's leg, "thank you, thank you, thank you!"
leah grinned, ruffling your hair slightly, "of course, angel."
alessia however, let out a dry laugh folding her arms, "she had and she's also bought herself some time to get some willpower lessons."
leah scoffed, feigning offence. "that's rude."
alessia raised an eyebrow, "is it cause at this rate, lovie could ask for a pony next week, and you'd be out the door before i even noticed."
leah opened her mouth to protest but you were already tugging on her hoodie again.
"mama, can we get a pony too?"
leah froze, opening her mouth to try and say the words but nothing was coming out from her lips.
alessia smirked, knowing she was right, "see?"
leah sighed, looking down at the puppy who licked her chin, "ok, okay, but admit it - he's adorable."
alessia sighed to, finally relenting. she crouched down scratching behind the puppy's ears, "yeah, yeah he's cute."
you clapped your hands excitedly, bouncing on your toes. "can we name him waffles?"
leah and alessia exchanged a look. leah smiled. "waffles it is!"

Something I'm always thinking about is Bob and High School Sweetheart! reader being the embodiment of the reverse grumpy x sunshine trope. More specifically, them being complete opposites and how it all somehow just works.
Bob was born and raised in their tiny southern town and is by all accounts the perfect son, if not a tad shy. The perfect southern gentleman. This, of course, led to him being a target amongst his peers and the apple of every elder’s eye.
She's the town's quintessential black sheep, having learned to keep her head down in most spaces or else. Towns like theirs aren't exactly polite to those that stand out, and lord did she stand out. But Robert noticed—what with his newly corrected vision—the pretty girl across the isle and three pews forward, being sharply shushed by the same gaggle of church ladies who fawned over him at Wednesday supper, and knew from that moment on he was a goner.
By the time senior year comes around, They both are settled in their reputations. Bob is nothing but an easy target for bullies, while she's dead set on scaring off anyone who so much as looks at the poor boy too long. Soon after he starts following her around school like a little lost puppy, more than a little blatant for her attention but far too meek to admit it. Little did he know that deep down, she felt the same way.
A short while later, they were all but inseparable, and at eighteen they were married.
Even now, Bob and his wife seem like complete opposites, though in reality, they share the exact same values and interests.
Whether it's telling the waiter his order is wrong or cussing out someone at the bar who insists she could do better than him, Mrs. Floyd never hesitates to stick up for her darling husband. On the flip side, Bob has also been known to abandon his quiet corner seat and go toe to toe with any man who suggests Mrs. Floyd should lighten up and smile more.
With Bob’s social anxiety and some bad past experiences, they tend to avoid spending too much time in public. Instead choosing to stick to quaint little places like libraries, record stores, or more often than not, their shared home.
As they get older and with each passing year their love grows and changes. Getting somehow stronger and yet more subtle. It's in the little things now that their love is shown—no longer grand gestures but small actions that show just how often they each are on each other's mind.
Mrs. Floyd keeps a spare eyeglass cleaning and repair kit in her purse. Bob never quite notices how his glasses are only ever smudged when he’s deployed, or how the broken screw in the left arm seemed to up and magically fix itself overnight.
Bob grabs a jacket from the closet even when she insists she won’t get cold. She never notices how the moment a chill enters the air he’s already slipping it off, or how that jacket always conveniently matches her outfit while having been a stark contrast to his own.

Tea Time
Tumblr media
------------------------------------------------
Summary: Family tea time, with chaos and fluff. The Wayne kids being themselves and weird. Fem!reader, around 6 years old.
Note: This took me a few writer blocks but it is done. I also wish you all very happy holidays and a good new years! Words: 1212 (not on purpose).
Art/picture is from Pinterest, is from the webtoon Wayne family adventures.
-----------------------------------------------------
Y/N loved tea time, especially when Alfred made the tea for her and she got to dress up and gather all her plushies around her tiny table set for a tea party. But she loved it more when it was tea time with her family. When her brothers and sisters would dress up with her, it always took some convincing with Jason and Damian, and set round the living room with her. Even if Bruce had the time he would join and Alfred always played butler when that happens, Y/N didn’t quite understand that Alfred was the actual butler just yet.
Y/N wore her pink princess dress and a tiara as she set Fleep and Bee up on the couch. She made sure they were secure on the blanket before dashing off to the kitchen. Running past Tim and Cas, they both knew what time it was. So the two of them decided to gather the others so Y/N had more time preparing for tea and helping Alfred.
“Alfred, Alfred!” Y/N called out as she ran into the kitchen. Big smile on her face when she saw the butler already working on a big pot of tea and a smaller one with coffee, Alfred knew that not everyone in the family liked the taste of tea. Making sure that there would be enough for everyone’s taste. Y/N giggled and made her way to Alfred. “Can I help?" She asked as she held onto the man’s leg, giving the man big puppy eyes as she looked up. “Please!” Alfred could only laugh and nodded his head. “You know where the cake forks and plates are, right?” Y/N nodded her head to Alfred’s question. “Go get them and put them on one of the trays on the island counter.”
Y/N let Alfred go and went to look for the cake plates and forks. The forks were easy to find since they were with the rest of the cutlery in the big drawer. She grabbed the forks and carried them to the kitchen island, struggling a bit when she climbed the stepping stool. “Alfred? Where are the plates?” She asked just to make sure she was going to look for them in the right place. “Lower left cabinet, Y/N/N.” Alfred answered while making the coffee, pouring hot water over a filter, yes Alfred still makes the coffee by hand.
With the directions Alfred gave her, Y/N made her way to collect the cake plates. She walked a few times between the kitchen island and the cabinet where the plates were, making sure to not carry too many at the same time. Too scared to drop any of the plates she carried. After a little while Y/N had made sure that all the plates were safely on the tray next to the forks. Not one plate was dropped. This made Alfred really proud of her, making sure Y/N knew that. “You did a very good job, Y/N.” He praised, actually happy that one of Bruce’s children could be gentle with something as little as a few plates and forks. Remembering the times where the boys tried to help him, only to have a messy kitchen by the end of it.
The smile on Y/N’s face made Alfred’s heart melt a bit. “Wanna help me with decorating the cake?” He asked, Knowing the answer before he even asked the question. “Yes!!!” Y/N answered as she jumped up and down out of excitement. And so the two of them made sure the cake was taken out of the oven and was decorated for tea.
<------------------------------------------------>
Y/N carried the small tray as Alfred carried the big tray with the cake out of the kitchen. Tim and Cas were already in the living room helping with setting up. Damian sat on the couch, mopping with a paper crown on his head. Of course he had to be grumpy about the whole situation. Dick on the other hand just walked over to Y/N to help her, only to be told off. “I can do this myself!” Y/N told Dick as she continued to take careful steps to the coffee table.
Cas laughed when Dick got denied by Y/N. “Aaaw, poor Dickie, even our little sister doesn’t need you anymore.” She teasted, watching as a pout formed on Dick’s face. He didn’t want to be unwanted, especially by his baby sister. Dick quickly focused on something else and started to help Alfred. Cas continued with decorating with Tim and Duke and Barbara got the place settings right.
“Do I really have to be here right now?” Damian asked, only to get yes from everyone in the room. “Fine, but I'm not doing anything.”
“Like hell you are!” Steph hit Damian on the shoulder before punching him off the couch. “You better come and help me with getting dad from the cave.” She ordered. Taking Damian by the arm and taking him away to help with getting Bruce to join them.
<------------------------------------------>
When Bruce Was up from the batcave, Damian was finally being nice and everyone was settled around the coffee table all dressed up and ready for the party.
Y/N smiled and fixed Her crown. “Ehhem, I thank you awll for coming today. We are here to celebwe… celle…” Y/N stuttered a little around the word before Bruce helped her “Celebrate sweetie,”
“celebrate the cake that Alfred made for tea time. It's a red velvet With white chocolate and lemon stuff and cream.” Y/N continued as Alfred Poured the tea into the cups. A smile on his face because of the praise Y/N gave his cake. Everyone else happily moved around the cups Alfred handed out. Adding Sugar and or milk where necessary.
“And daddy has The honor of cutting the cake!” Y/N finished before carefully handing over the cake knife to Bruce. Cake cutting was something special in the Wayne household. No one really knew how to do it properly except Alfred, but they didn't want the butler to do everything. So they did roulette or Bruce had to do it. Since Y/N didn’t want roulette or a fight, daddy had to do it.
The cake was cut and put onto plates. Alfred getting the first piece. It was his creation, his work and his love that went into it, so it was only fair.
Jason fixed The crown on his head and licked His lips, ready to devour the cake on his plate. Only he waited too long and Steph took a little bite from Jason's cake. Jason gasped in response. “You cake thief! And You even took the best bite! You bi…”
“Jason!” Bruce warned his son before grabbing Steph's plate and switched it with Jason's. “You know we don't swear in this household. And you, Steph, we also don't steal from each other's plates.”
“Sorry dad.” Steph answered as she looked down at her knees. “Sorry Jay.” Jason just nodded his head in acceptance and finally got to have a bite of the cake.
Y/N leaned against Dick and looked up at him. “What was Jay gonna say?” She asked, she was just a bit too curious sometimes. Luckily she hadn't found the bat cave just yet. Dick looked down at Y/N and sighed. “I'll tell you when you're older.”

ᡣ𐭩 •。ꪆৎ ˚⋅ 𝓒𝒽𝓇𝒾𝓈𝓉𝓂𝒶𝓈 𝓣𝓇𝑒𝑒 ..
paring: fbi agent!rio vidal x librarian!reader
word count: 1142
summary: a walk through times square with your girlfriend, a small interruption happens that’s quickly forgotten. or is it?
warnings: lots of fluff. mentions of past agathario, agatha as mean!detective!agatha, rio's soft spot is for you and only you.
A/N: lowkey wanna make this a series. for now this one’s just a fluffy one shot because im a sucker for rio.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The starry night was beautiful, filling the sky with soft light and tiny specks scattered throughout. Rio walked down the street with you, her possessive hand resting on your lower back, guiding you through the crowd of people. Earlier, you had begged her to take you to the town square, pleading with your best puppy-dog eyes.
"Oh, please! Pretty, pretty please?" you said, batting your eyelashes at her. "There will be such pretty lights!"
"No. I don’t care for this… holiday of yours," she replied.
A pout formed on your lips at her response, and she hated to see it turn into a frown. With a frustrated sigh, she gently patted your cheek, offering you a faint smile before finally giving in to your pleading
Which is how you ended up in this situation: led through crowds until, finally, the beautiful Christmas tree in the town square was visible to your eyes, which sparkled as brightly as the lights shining off the tree’s branches. Rio's arms were wrapped around your waist, her chin resting on your shoulder. Typically, she wasn't one to engage in public displays of affection, but tonight, with how stunning you looked, she couldn't help but feel a bit possessive of you. "Alright, you saw the stupid tree, can we go now?" she grumbles.
You were about to respond, lips parted, when a voice cut through. "Rio? Oh, how lovely it is to see you!" the voice chuckled, a sudden hand on Rio’s shoulder. You turned your head just enough to see who was talking to your girlfriend.
"Agatha?" Rio muttered, almost baffled to see the other woman. "Yes, dear! How are you?" Agatha’s voice was sickeningly sweet, you wanted nothing more for her to disappear. This is your little date with Rio after all. "I’m alright. And you?" Rio’s tone was deflated. Just as it is with anyone who simply isn’t you. "I’m amazing." the woman with slightly curly hair replied, an undercurrent of… well you couldn't quite place the intent in her tone. Her eyes fell upon you, you were just a few inches shorter than Rio, doe eyes big and curious, mixed with a bit of jealousy too.
She reached out to tilt your chin up, you expected Rio to immediately smack the hand away but all she did was tense up. Not daring to stand up to Agatha. That made you question who this woman was to Rio and what kind of past they had lingering. "Who’s this pretty thing?" her voice darkened, and you shuffled away, bringing your body closer to Rio’s. "None of your business." your girlfriend grumbled, which had Agatha pouting.
"Oh come on, dear! Don’t be like that. What’s your name?" Agatha turned to address you.
"Umm… who are you?"
"A friend of Rio’s, hon. No need to feel afraid." she dropped her voice to a whisper, reveling in the way you seemed to dislike her intimidating appearance. "Oh… okay," you whispered back, turning to gaze up at Rio. Her eyes filled with conflicting emotions. “She’s my girlfriend, Harkness.” Rio had finally spoken up, tugging you away from Agatha. "Ooh, she speaks." the brunette—who is standing tall—chuckles.
The Christmas tree no longer seemed interesting. Not when this random woman appeared, Making your already grumpy girlfriend feel even more sour. “Can we go home?” your voice was small, only Rio had picked up on it. She shook her head. "No, darling. Let’s enjoy the tree for a bit longer, yeah?" her voice had gentled, trying to coax you back into that adoring excitement you wore just minutes before. "If you don't mind, I’d like for you to leave us be, thank you." Rio’s voice was clipped with Agatha, who simply huffed, sending your girlfriend a glare before disappearing. There was obvious tension between the two. They clearly had some sort of relationship that crumbled into a million pieces.
You chose not to dwell on the questions swirling inside you. A soft kiss pressed against your cheek caught your attention. You glanced back up at Rio. There was a fire behind her eyes; however, she still looked as in love with you as ever. You smiled adoringly at her.
Time passed, and you walked around the town square, gawking at the pretty lights surrounding buildings. It was obvious the residents of West View, New Jersey adored Christmas just as much as you did. Rio found it incredibly ridiculous. It was only the middle of November, Thanksgiving hadn't even gone by!
Not that she even liked Thanksgiving.
You were hand in hand with her, swaying your arms. Truthfully you were just happy that Rio, for once, allowed you to show her so much affection in a public setting. She much preferred to be soft with you at home, not where a bunch of people could watch, their lingering eyes felt uncomfortable. As you passed by yet another store, you stopped abruptly, causing Rio to stumble back. Beautiful jewelry shined bright within the window. You couldn't help but admire them. Especially the necklaces. You were a sucker for shiny things that can rest on your collarbone, Rio couldn't care less. Though; she found joy in buying you jewelry. “Like something you see, my love?” her lips brushed against your ear, a shiver running down your spine at the contact. "The one with a pretty emerald! It’s your color." you smiled warmly.
Oh, you knew how to make Rio’s heart melt. A woman who is usually so dense and tough, she often only softens when it comes to you. You loved how she could go from rude to loving so quickly.
It didn't take long for Rio to grow exhausted with people. You felt the same way. Your home was looking mighty cozy now, and as you arrived, you rushed to the bedroom to change into warm pajamas. She wasn't too far behind. Rio decided she wanted to shower, you denied her offer to join.
Instead, you opted to make yourself and your girlfriend some hot chocolate. A little tray of snacks set on the coffee table, you on the couch, steamy mugs sitting by the snack try. And a remote in your hand as you scroll through Netflix. Debating what to put on to end your lovely night, despite the small interruption… as your girlfriend rounded the corner, you smiled brightly at her. "Baby! I made us hot cocoa." The tone in your voice was soft, full of that excitement Rio adored so much.
"How sweet of you. My sweet girl." she hummed, tapping your thigh til your legs instinctively fell open, allowing her to lay between them. Her head immediately rests on your stomach. You pressed play on the movie, willing the night to quiet down as you and Rio unwind. The rest of the night was filled with cuddles, kisses, and sweet treats.

Hi!! I've been binge watching TFP, as I've recently just stumbled across it. And already wishing I've seen this show eariler!
May I request TFP Ratchet realizing he's fallen in love with a F/human ally? Honestly just love 'grumpy, gruff hero falls for sweet, caring love interest. But denies it at first till something happens' trope. Can be fluff/smutt. Anything you're comfy with 😊
Thanks and feel free to ignore, if your inbox is full.
Oh my God I literally love Ratchet so much, thank you for this. Finish the show and then watch the movie! I was lucky enough to watch it when it was coming out - I loved it as a kid and I love it now as an adult.
Content: TFP Ratchet x Fem! Hum! Reader
Warnings: None!
Notes: I wrote for Ratchet a lot on my old Wattpad account, or at least what I can remember of it. If anybody wants to see my cringy old writing, my username on there is the same here, Multifandoms27. I also have a four-part TFP Megatron series if anybody's interested. Also I apologize if this is shit - this is my first time writing for Ratchet in literal years so uh, hope you enjoy lol

Ratchet usually didn't bother with the whole romance thing. He was too old for that. Even when you came into the picture, he didn't pay much attention to you. He thought humans were weak links - something that didn't belong in his world.
But through your own effort to get to know him, he slowly warmed up to you. He thought you were one of a kind - smart, funny, understood him in almost every capacity...he loved you. But he would never admit it, not even to himself.
You had been nothing but nice to him, even in the beginning when all he did was snap at you. Thats what softened him, made him draw closer to you. How could something so tiny be so kind to something so...large?
And then, when the children came and he had to grow accustomed to them, then to June and Fowler, he had realized that you had made him so accustomed to humans and made him believe he could finally...no. No, he did not love you.
...At least, that's what he told himself. Until you got hurt.
• ───────────────── •
Optimus had walked through the groundbridge, his servo raised and, for once, a solemn face. One of their own had been hurt, and Ratchet feared Miko finally had gotten hurt from chasing after Bulkhead. But, when Optimus showed him his servo, his spark nearly extinguished.
"(Y/n)! Oh, Primus, no!" He carefully took your unconscious form in his servos and called for June.
Optimus felt responsible for your state, and so he went to lock himself in his berthroom. Ratchet however, tried to assist June anyway he could. But June eventually grew too stressed trying to dress your wounds and assure Ratchet, that she finally snapped on him and told him to get out of the room.
Ratchet went to find Optimus, to ask how you had gotten so hurt. He was angry. He was so livid. How could this have happened to you? To his favorite human?
He knocked gently at first on Optimus' berthroom door. When he got no response, he began to pound on the door. "Optimus, I know you are in there!"
Slowly, the door opened. Optimus stood, staring down at his medic and long time friend. His gaze was quizzical, but he said nothing. Ratchet was even more put off by that. He began to speak. "How did she come to be like that?"
"She must have snuck through the groundbridge when none of us were looking, and-"
"Just tell me how she got this way, Optimus." Ratchet pleaded.
"Megatron was not so kind to her...that is all I'll say, for your sake." Optimus spoke, sadness lacing his tone.
Ratchet grew enraged. "And you couldn't protect her?! Primus, Optimus! You have had more than one chance to defeat Megatron, yet you stand here, sad as an Earth puppy who got kicked, while my (Y/n) is getting torn apart by the most tyrannical Cybertronian in our history! How could you?!"
Optimus sighed and looked off to the side. "Goodnight, Ratchet. We will speak in the morning."
Ratchet protested, but the Prime had already shut himself back in his room. Grumbling, he turned to find all three children staring from around the corner, accompanied by Bumblebee. He grumbled more. "What are you looking at?!"
Bumblebee whirred that you were awake. Ratchet blinked and rushed back into the medbay, where sure enough, you laid there awake and groaning in pain. June looked up and saw Ratchet once more.
"I administered some pain meds just now. She should be okay in about twenty minutes. Her wounds are all dressed." June backed away. "Do you want me to uh..."
"Yes, please." Ratchet waited for June to leave before kneeling next to you. "How are you feeling?"
"...Could be worse." You laughed, then cringed in pain.
"I'm not sure how much worse you could be. I hear you survived Megatron. Well done, sweetspark."
"Sweetspark? That's a new one." You chuckle this time, careful not to create a big pain response like before.
Ratchet blinked in surprise. "D-Did I say that? I meant-"
"It's okay, Ratch." You grinned and placed a hand on his large servo. "I know what you mean."
Ratchet stopped, then slowly and softly smiled down at you. Yes, you always understood him in some capacity...but not every one. You could never pick up on how much he loved you.
Yes, he loved you.

The first thing you noticed about the boy behind the counter was that he didn't smile.
Not when customers complimented his latte art. Not when an elderly regular gave him a handwritten thank you card. Not even when a gold retriever puppy peeked through the glass doors and wagged its tail. He just worked in silence, his movements precise, expression unreadable.
“This is Y/N,” your new manager had said brightly. “She’ll be training here starting today.”
The boy didn’t even look at you. “You’re cheerful,” he muttered, his voice flat, and you couldn’t help but grin.
“You’re not,” you replied, your smile warm and genuine, even though his words barely registered as an insult.
That got a glance. It was the barest flicker of an expression, just a quick glance before he went back to wiping down the counter, but it felt like progress.
You learned his name the next day: Park Sunghoon. It was written in sharp black ink on the staff schedule.
He wasn’t mean. Just quiet. Guarded. Efficient in a way that didn’t leave room for small talk. You’d try, of course. Commenting on the weather, the playlist, the new pastries. He’d respond with a nod or a hum, then go right back to steaming milk or scribbling names on cups with annoyingly perfect penmanship.
But you didn’t give up.
You told him about your failed attempts at latte art, the way you once accidentally served someone an iced espresso with salt instead of sugar, and how your favorite part of the job was the smell of ground coffee beans in the morning.
Sometimes he’d blink slowly, like your energy short-circuited his brain. Other times, you thought you saw the corner of his mouth twitch. You counted that as a win. Maybe it wasn’t much, but it was something.
A month passed.
You noticed things.
Like how he only drank black coffee. How he always wore headphones before opening shifts, but the music was soft, classical, completely unlike his aloof attitude. How he always made an extra matcha latte on Thursdays and left it behind the counter for the regular who never ordered but always showed up tired. It was the kind of thoughtful gesture he never talked about, and you wondered if he even realised how much it mattered.
You started bringing him snacks. Little things like chocolate covered almonds, rice crackers, a tiny blueberry muffin with a post it that said “You look like someone who forgets breakfast.”
He never thanked you. But he always ate them. His face remained unreadable, but you noticed that his shoulders would sometimes relax, just a little, when you handed him the treats.
One day, it rained.
You came in drenched, dripping from your bangs to your sneakers, and slipped on the floor the moment you stepped inside.
Sunghoon caught you by the elbow before you hit the tiles.
“Careful,” he said, voice flat, but his hand lingered for half a second too long.
Your heart stuttered. “Thanks.”
He let go, like he’d caught you out of instinct. “Don’t drip on the espresso machine.”
That was the first time he made you coffee without asking. It came in your favorite mug, with a foamed heart on top. You didn’t even have to say anything, because his small gestures spoke louder than words ever could.
The following weeks were a mix of routine and subtle changes. You worked morning shifts together, the café quiet except for the occasional order and the soft hum of the espresso machine. You found yourself in the back room often, taking the opportunity to chat with him about the weather, your favorite books, or just random little things that filled the silence.
Sunghoon still wasn’t talkative, but he stopped giving you one word answers. He’d respond more thoughtfully, sometimes even offering his own opinions. The first time he laughed… really laughed, was when you told him about the time you accidentally made a macchiato with a shot of soy sauce instead of caramel syrup. It wasn’t loud, just a soft chuckle, but it felt like a small victory.
You started closing shifts together. Sometimes in silence, sometimes with music playing low in the background. Always something soft, like he’d chosen it for you.
Two months into your job, the little interactions became a bit more frequent.
One evening, after everyone else had left, Sunghoon stood by the counter, watching the light rain outside the window.
“You look pensive,” you said, wiping down the counter nearby.
“I’m not,” he replied, but his tone was softer than usual.
“You always look like you’re thinking about something.”
He glanced at you, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Like you’re always somewhere else in your head.”
He didn’t answer, just took a sip from his cup and turned back to the window. You continued with your work, but you noticed the way his shoulders seemed to relax when he thought you weren’t looking. The way he leaned against the counter with an unfamiliar ease. Maybe it wasn’t much, but you felt like you were starting to get to him. Just a little.
A few more weeks passed, and you started noticing even more details about him.
Like how he always tucked a pen behind his ear when he worked. Like how he hated it when people were late, but was never overtly rude… just more quiet. Like how, on slow days, he’d doodle little sketches on the back of order tickets when he thought no one was watching. It was like his way of quietly letting out the tension he didn’t know how to express.
But one of the most surprising things you learned was how fiercely he took care of the café. He had this way of arranging everything just so, always checking the supplies, making sure nothing was out of place. You started to realize that, just like you, this place was one of the few things he allowed to matter.
One night, after a particularly busy evening shift, you were both left to close up. The lights were dimmed, the buzz of the espresso machine had died down, and only the sound of you wiping down the counter filled the space.
“You’ve been looking at me a lot lately,” Sunghoon said, voice low but steady.
You raised an eyebrow. “What?”
“You know, whenever I’m near, you always seem to be looking at me.”
Your heart skipped a beat. You couldn’t think of anything to say, so you just shrugged. “Maybe I’m just trying to figure you out.”
He stayed silent for a moment before answering. “What do you think?”
You took a deep breath. “I think you’re not as indifferent as you try to act.”
He shifted, clearly caught off guard. “What?”
“You care. You care about this place, about the people here. And maybe… you care more than you realize.”
His gaze softened. “I don’t know how to care.”
“Well,” you said, walking closer, “sometimes it’s okay to not know. But that doesn’t mean you can’t try.”
You paused for a moment, taking a chance you hadn’t dared before.
“Can I ask you something?”
He nodded, his eyes narrowing in curiosity.
“Why do you always do that? Try to keep things to yourself.”
He didn’t answer right away. Instead, he set down the rag he’d been holding and looked at you with a seriousness that made your chest tighten.
“It’s easier that way,” he said simply.
“Is it?”
He hesitated. “I don’t know.” He sounded a little unsure, a little vulnerable, and you couldn’t help but feel a strange warmth in your chest.
A few days later, you both ended up working the closing shift again. The café was nearly empty, the last few customers having left, leaving behind a quiet that only the two of you shared.
You were both cleaning up when he spoke again. “I think you’ve changed the way I see things.”
You raised an eyebrow, glancing up at him. “What do you mean?”
He looked at you for a long moment before replying. “I think… I’m starting to care a little too much. And it’s not just about the café.”
Your heart did that thing again, an unexpected skip. “What do you mean?” you whispered, a little afraid of what he might say.
He took a breath, stepping closer. “I think… I’m starting to like you.”
You smiled softly. “I think I’ve known for a while.”
He blinked, surprised by your response. “Really?”
“Yeah. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy,” you said. “Nothing’s easy.”
He reached for your hand, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “It doesn’t have to be.”
The days that followed were a quiet rush of small moments. You both tiptoed around the tension that had bloomed between you… careful, uncertain, but undeniably there.
There was the moment when he passed you a fresh cup of coffee, his fingers brushing against yours for the briefest instant, and neither of you spoke. Just the soft flutter of that touch lingered in the air.
There was the evening when you both stayed late to clean up, and he surprised you by ordering takeout for both of you. His way of offering something, even though he didn’t know exactly how to do it.
Then there was the night when he looked at you, not with his usual distant expression, but with something softer, something warm. “I think I’m getting better at this,” he said quietly.
“At what?”
“At caring,” he replied, voice so low it was almost a whisper.
You smiled, not needing to say anything else. Because in that moment, you both knew. Something slow and quiet had built between you. Something real.
The night was quiet when the café closed. The lights were dimmed, and the soft hum of the espresso machine was the only sound, almost like the calm after a storm. The air smelled faintly of coffee and cinnamon, comforting in a way only a café could be.
Sunghoon was wiping down the counter, his movements slow and deliberate. You stood beside him, gathering your things, the soft silence between you feeling… different now. The shift was subtle, but it was there. Something had changed.
You couldn’t help yourself.
You turned to him. “Sunghoon.”
He looked up from the counter, his eyes locking with yours. There was no more hesitation in his gaze, no more distance. Just something warm, something patient.
“I’m glad you’re here,” he said softly.
You blinked, caught off guard by the sincerity in his words. “What?”
He gave a small, almost shy smile, and for the first time, you saw him open up, just a little. “I’m glad you’re here. I think… I think I’ve needed this.”
Your heart swelled at his admission. You didn’t say anything right away. You didn’t need to. You stepped closer, your fingers brushing against his in a quiet, meaningful touch.
“I think I needed this, too,” you whispered, your voice barely more than a breath.
And in that moment, standing in the soft glow of the café, you realised something. It wasn’t just about coffee. It wasn’t about the late nights or the small gestures.
It was about something more.
Like a cup of coffee left to brew, slowly and carefully, the warmth that had been building between you over the weeks was finally ready. It had taken time. It had taken patience. But now it was something that could no longer be ignored.
Sunghoon tilted his head, eyes searching yours for something you both knew deep down, but had never quite dared to say. “I think… we’re brewing something.”
Your heart skipped a beat, the meaning behind his words sinking in slowly. “Something like love?” you asked, your voice barely a whisper.
He nodded, his smile a little crooked, but softer than before. “Yeah. Something like love.”
You couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face. Something so quiet, so gentle, had been growing between you. No grand gestures. No explosive confessions. Just slow, steady, and real.
And maybe that’s how love was supposed to be. Something brewed over time, warm and comforting, a little messy at first, but finally perfect in its own way.
“You’re not wrong,” you said softly, your fingers brushing his once more.
And as the café’s lights flickered off, the two of you stood there, together, knowing that the quiet, patient love you’d been brewing for so long had finally come to life.
Something like love. Quietly brewing.
Just like coffee.
Just like you and him.

SKZ vs. Shark Week (Felix ver.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
How would each member of Stray Kids handle you while you're on your period?
BANGCHAN | MINHO | CHANGBIN | HYUNJIN JISUNG | FELIX | SEUNGMIN | JEONGIN
WARNING: This is a female reader going through their period. If the topic of a period/anything that has to do with a period makes you uncomfortable, then don't read it. Just remember that there's nothing wrong with a woman's period. It's a perfectly healthy body function :)
Tumblr media
THE MOODS It was very safe to say that you were an absolute wreck. Not necessarily because you were all over the place emotionally, but because you were just extremely sensitive. One tiny little compliment that Felix gave you would make you cry. One little critique would make you cry. The cute puppy that lived across the hall? It made you cry.
And so, Felix made an effort to always be with you. Any time you started crying, he'd instantly scoop you into his arms and coo to you, babying you with everything he had. While he was usually your baby, when you got emotional like this, you were his. And he'd do everything in his power to make you feel all better.
You want kisses? He's gonna douse you in them. You want to be held? Great! Felix won't let you go. You want him close? Felix will melt into you, nuzzle your cheek with his, and squeeze you until you feel better. You don't want any of that? Too bad. He'll do it anyway.
THE BLOOD You actually don't bleed that much. Your flow is really light, but it lasts a long, long time. And Felix couldn't be more thankful. Why? Because he could still get his cuddles while you bled and lay with you. What more, you were willing to go out and do things with him.
You didn't feel gross because you didn't have a swimming pool of blood in your pants, hell, you didn't have to double up on products, either. You could easily get away with just using panty liners most of the time. Simple as that. And Felix couldn't be more grateful that his girl was somewhat functional.
THE PAIN While your period was nice to you in the blood regard, it was NOT nice to you during the other symptoms that occurred. There wasn't necessarily pain, but you did tend to stay up way later. Why? Because you sweated like a mad man during the night. You'd get hot, then you'd get grumpy, and then you'd just want to sprawl and not be anywhere near Felix.
And while Felix was a bit upset by that, and wanted to cuddle like you both normally did, he also understood that you were just uncomfortable with sleeping in the same bed. He would be too if he was creating a new ocean made entirely of sweat where he was laying.
And so, he would go and sleep in the dorms at night, only to come right back the next day to be with you in case you needed anything.
THE PRODUCT Because Felix has two sisters, I feel like he'd be pretty comfortable with the sight of period products. He knew the ins and outs of it really well, and so he was more than happy to help out where he could. The one thing he was a bit hesitant on was going and getting the products for you.
It wasn't that he didn't want to because it was weird or embarrassing, no no no. He just really didn't want to slip up and get the wrong ones. Even if you were to write down exactly what you need and send a picture to him, he'd still be nervous that it wasn't the right ones, and that he failed you (even though he's incapable of failing anyone).
And when it comes to the waste, Felix just...doesn't want to look. He doesn't like the sight of blood in any shape or form, and so if he does accidentally see it, he'll just come to you and hesitantly ask you if next time, you could possibly cover the blood a bit more so he doesn't have to see it. And you do it, because he's too precious to argue with.
Tumblr media
Hey! Firstly, thank you so much for reading this post, and I really hope you enjoyed! If you did, please like, reblog, or comment so I can see how I'm doing with writing and getting feedback! I hope you have a lovely day! Sleep well, stay in good health, and eat something if you haven't! ❤️❤️❤️

little guy shelf
Tumblr media
tldr: what the hell is a 'little guy'? an: i literally do not know where this came from.
when jihoon hears you huff for the fourth time in just as many minutes, he knows something must be wrong. after pausing the music coming out of his speakers and minimizing the tabs of production software on his monitor, he turns his chair to face you and is not surprised to hear you huff again.
“bee,” he waits for you to look up at him before he asks, “what's the problem?”
you huff again, but quickly pull yourself together and explain to him, very calmly, “there’s too many little guys on my shelf.”
jihoon blinks, sure he misheard you he asks again, “what is the problem?”
you’re starting to get exacerbated, he can see it in the way you take a deep breath before explaining yourself, “my shelf, where i keep my little guys, there’s too many of them and now i can’t fit this one but this one is perfect! it has to go on my shelf.”
“i’m sorry, bee. i’m still confused. what is a ‘little guy’? and why does he have a designated shelf?” you two were still on opposite sides of the universe factory, and although the room was not big, he could not see the self in question from where he was, leaving him even more confused.
“just come over here and look at my shelf, zi. you’ll get it if you can see it.” you could see the hesitation in his eyes at the thought of taking a break from production, but you were not above guilt-tripping. “come help me, zi. i need you,” you hoped your puppy-dog eyes still worked on him.
turns out, they do. he got up and shuffled over to where you had squat down next to the second-to-bottom shelf on his wall. he’d never noticed before but the little shelf he’s offhandedly told you could be yours many, many months ago had been filled with little trinkets, or ‘guys’ he guessed. he wasn’t sure why you were so upset about this, though.
“bee, i’m still confused. what exactly is the problem with your…guys?” he gestured vaguely to your plastic army.
“they’re all you! little tiny versions of you. and i’ve been collecting them but this one,” you lifted your hand to jihoon’s face. a tiny green man, bent over a barbell was staring back at him, his eyes were almost crossed trying to look at it. “this one will not fit! they all keep tipping over and then i stand them back up and then they tip over again! but he belongs here with these other little guys, zi. he belongs.”
he gently pushed your hand out of his face, “yeah, bee. he totally belongs.” jihoon was still confused, but a little less so and terribly fond, “who else is there? who else represents me?”
you lit up, clearly excited to explain your thought process to him. you turned, hand gently reaching into the molded infantry and remerging with a…grumpy penguin?
jihoon was still confused but was ready to listen intently to your enthusiastic explanation, “tell me everything, bee.” he was doing this mostly to humor you, but he was intrigued.
holding the little penguin out in front of you, you said, “this is badtz-maru. he is a penguin. he’s perpetually stuck in the first grade and wants to be the big boss of everything when he grows up.”
jihoon plucked the little plastic toy from your hand, turning it over to inspect it, “that's nice. but why is he me?”
“well, he has black spiky hair, like you do,” you paused, looking at his long black hair, “sometimes.” you smiled sheepishly before continuing, “and penguins give rocks to their partners to show love. and you wrote ‘ruby’ and a ruby is technically a rock so…” you trailed off, embarrassed about your ramblings.
jihoon had never thought you cuter. he reached the hand not holding his penguin self onto the shelf and pulled out a pokémon. “why flareon?”
“oh! other than the sheer cuteness?” you were really on a tangent now, “‘flareon tends to isolate. and it’s in their nature to be lonely, so–”
jihoon interjected, “i am not lonely. nor do i isolate.”
“well, that’s not true. you do isolate, don’t lie. and maybe not lonely per se, more of a loner. which again, you kind of are. plus, this little guy is spitting fire, which again, you do, so yeah. flareon, obviously.”
“obviously.” jihoon was thoroughly amused. he had no idea any of this was in his studio. you’ve been hoarding toys here. toys that reminded you of him, “show me one more, bee.”
you pulled out, “a little baby, with a vegetable hat?”
“no, zi. this is not any baby with a vegetable hat. this is the cabbage sonny angel. technically it’s the wrong kind of cabbage to make kimchi with but i’m choosing to let it slide because it’s little face looks just like yours!”
you were very passionate about these so-called ‘little guys’ and although jihoon didn’t really get it, he loved you. and he loved that you thought about him so much that you would collect these little toys in his honor.
“here,” he grabs the green weightlifting one off the discard pile on the floor and stands up. he rounds the corner to his desk and, “it can live here. since it’s ‘me’ and all.” he places it right next to his monitor, right in his line of vision, but not blocking anything important.
you got up from the pile, leaving your little guys on the floor to see where this little guy had been placed.
coming up behind jihoon you siaid, “zi! he looks perfect there!” you leaned over and placed a soft kiss on his cheek.
he blushed but still said, “you don’t have to keep the little guys just on that one shelf. use the whole wall, bee. my space is your space.”

kbd —your youngest daughter’s second birthday is hectic but perfect. dad!steve x mom!reader, 1.7k
“It’s crazy that she won’t remember.”
“I know, but they remember all the love, right?” you say, stretching the neck of a balloon before attaching it to the hand-pump. “That’s what makes them happy kids. They were happy babies.”
Steve glances around the living room. There are shining cellophane banners on every wall, streamers in the eaves, bunting across the stairs and now balloons to be taped to the windows and hung from the ceiling. It’s five in the morning, and while you and Steve are both a tad slow with the clinging dregs of fatigue, neither of you are grumpy. It’s hardly much earlier than you wake up most days.
“I guess so,” Steve says, stretching his own balloon.
“Even if she doesn’t remember, we’ll still remember,” you say with a shrug. “Don’t you remember Avery’s second birthday?”
Steve remembers every birthday, and he gets your point. He wasn’t suggesting you make less effort and you know that, but it really freaks him out sometimes that the girls won’t remember their childhoods like he does. He’s telling you because he tells you everything.
“We got her a purple puppy teddy with those weird glass eyes and she accidentally hit you in the face really hard,” he says.
Steve remembers you pretending it didn’t hurt, and wiping the instinctive wetness from your eyes. You hadn’t been upset, but injuries near the sinuses make everybody cry. He’d wiped your tears away and he’d been deadly concerned; that was at a time where he was still marginally insecure about being a family, scared you’d one day realise you didn’t want it with him, that it was too hard and he was doing too little, every gentle caress of his thumb pleading with you not to hate him for it.
But that was dramatic, in hindsight. When Avery noticed you were upset and began to cry too, you’d ducked away from Steve’s touch to pick her up and soothe her. You love Steve like breathing and Avery ten times as much. Your tears really were because you couldn’t help them.
“Ouch,” you say, slipping the balloon from the pump to tie around your two fingers. “I’m glad they don’t like Beanie Babies. That puppy almost took my teeth out.”
He gives you a long look. “You’d still be cute without teeth, probably.”
“Thank you.”
You overestimate how much time you need to finish decorating. At 6AM you’re done, and at 7AM you’re napping, you and Steve with your heads pressed together on the couch, your snores blending into one sound.
It’s Beth who wakes first sometime around 7:30. She doesn’t disturb you, only laughs at all the balloons and your strange predicament as she drags herself up the leather couch. It’s cracking now, you’ve had the same couch since she was born, but her dad always raves about it because he can wipe it clean with a clorox wipe. She avoids the spiky skin of it and curls up gently against Steve’s chest. She sniffs his shirt, and usually he senses someone’s close by to wrap an arm around them, but it’s you who feels her and covers her tummy with your hand.
Upstairs, barely twenty minutes later, Dove wakes. She’s trapped in her cot and furious about it, whining behind a closed door, but luckily her best big sister Avery is waking up too.
“Hi, Dove,” she says, beaming at her frowny sister, “it’s your birthday, did you know? Happy birthday!” Avery reaches arms just long enough to help Dove over the crib and onto the floor. “Wanna hol’ my hand?”
“Okay.”
Happier to be released, Dove and Avery backtrack to your bedroom and find it empty. “They must be downstairs,” Avery assumes. “Do you want socks?”
Avery outfits them both in socks. You and Steve would be sorry you missed it if you knew it happened, Avery at her most gentle as she slips a pair of her socks over Dove’s tiny feet, and then her own. “Warm toes,” Avery says, “why does the floor get cold at night time?”
Dove doesn’t know. She holds her hands out and Avery shakes her head. “Dad said I can’t carry you on the stairs. Come on, let’s go see what’s for breakfast. It’s your birthday so you can probably get to pick.”
“Toast?” Dove asks.
“Sure, Dove, I like toast. French toast? With cinnamon sugar?”
They make it to the bottom of the stairs unharmed and find a hallway turned to a dreamscape. “Wow!” Avery says, pointing at the balloons. They’ve been taped into a rainbow arch around the door to the living room, and there are streamers hanging down as a curtain to walk through.
Dove is pleasantly startled, her giggle one of promised excitement. “Wow!” she says.
On the couch, Steve snorts awake.
He blinks dry eyes, arms instinctively squeezing the small mass at his chest, worried he’s grabbed a kid and forgotten and the poor girls about to fall. After a second he gets his wits back and realises it’s only a dozing Beth, your hand sandwiched under his arm.
He blows out a breath and finds the source of the commotion; Avery and Dove stands giggling in the doorway, the pink paper streamers kissing their faces as they look up at them.
“Good morning!” he says, giving you a little nudge. “Dove, baby, it’s your birthday! Happy birthday! Can you see, the decorating fairies came when you were sleeping.”
“Happy birthday!” you croak agreeably.
“Thanks,” Beth says, rubbing her nose against his chest.
“Not yours, sweetheart,” Steve says.
“Okay.” She settles with a good pat on the back.
For breakfast, Dove indeed wants French toast with ‘minnamin’, and you couldn’t be happier to make it. You sit her in her high chair with a pillow behind her back, you and Steve performing something of a dance as you rush to feed three hungry girls while satiating the birthday girl's demands. “You can have anything you want,” Steve promised. Why would he do that? Now Dove wants a kiss, and the bag of chocolate chips from the pantry, and another kiss, and Mommy, can we have cocoa?
It’s hectic, but it’s fine. If she wants some hot cocoa of course she can have it, it’s just a lot to happen all at once.
“Careful,” you say, lifting Steve’s arm away from the burner. He’s shifted the pan off of the heat and forgotten about it. “Ooh, saved your arm hair.”
“Jesus,” he says, yanking his arm out of your touch, but more importantly, away from the heat. “Shit, sorry.”
“Mom, can I have water please?” Beth asks.
You lean up into the big cabinet full of glasses for her favourite plastic cup and rinse it out. You fill it from the jug in the fridge and put it down in front of her with a big kiss pressed to the back of her head. “Okay?” you ask.
“Thank you.”
“Avery, what are you gonna have to drink?”
“Coffee.”
“I don’t think so, little miss. Coffee isn’t very good for you, and it tastes strong.”
Avery tries to stop you from walking away, so you stay, despite Steve’s scary-looking cooking. He’s dangerous about the heat.
“What?” you ask, looking down at her.
“Are you gonna give Dove the presents after breakfast?” she whispers.
“Yeh, bub. Don’t worry, I wrapped yours last night.”
She beams at you. She’d stuck up in bed like a dagger when she remembered she hadn’t wrapped it, but you promised to do it if only to get her to go to sleep.
She hums as you tip her head back and tap your noses together, upside down.
“And… ta da!” Steve puts a plate of chopped up French toast and sugar soaked fruits in front of the birthday girl. The toast is thick and browned, but cut into little squares so she can’t choke. “Birthday breakfast for my beautiful girl.” He kisses her chubby cheek.
“Who’s next?” he asks, pulling up. “Bethie, you want French toast too?”
“Yes, please.”
“You want to help me make it?”
“I can?” she asks, propping herself with two hands on the table.
“Steve, please be careful,” you beg.
“What, like I’m gonna let her get burned?”
He scoops Beth up. You wrap your arms in front of Avery with your chin atop her head, two girly shields to protect you from the oncoming argument.
In her high chair, Dove laughs around a mouthful of raspberries and bread. “Dad, stop frowning!” she demands. Frowning sounds like ‘fwoming’ and raspberry juice stains her chin, but it is her birthday, so you and Steve leave your playful arguing for another time.
“You’re on my list,” he whispers threateningly.
You pull up a seat between Dove and Avey to make sure Dove doesn’t hurt herself in her greed. “You’re on my list.”
Dove doesn’t need help eating anymore, but she seems to enjoy the attention, so you begin feeding her one forkful of yummy sugary breakfast at a time. “Want maple syrup?” you ask her.
Her eyes go wide as saucers. “Yes!”
“Okay, baby. Dad, can we get some syrup over here?”
“Lazy, awful woman. What happened to her legs?” he asks Beth, who giggles like she knows she shouldn’t laugh.
Dove smiles. She looks as happy as she ever has, with her slept-in pyjamas and her bed head, pink on her lips, brown sugar dusting the front of her nose. “I can’t believe you’re already two,” you say, wiping her nose gently. “Is that yummy?”
“Yummy,” she says agreeably, lips parting the second you raise her fork.
You got a present for each of the girls, though it isn’t their day, because you didn’t want them to feel left out, but honestly they don’t seem like they’ll need any extra spoiling. Bethie’s laughing sitting on the counter as Steve lets egg drip on her knee, squeamish giggling that in turn makes Avery laugh and attempt to join them. Steve grabs her under the arms and puts her right next to Beth.
“Two assistants!” he says. “I’m spoiled. Which one of you wants to find the maple syrup? It’s somewhere in all that mess.”

a/n: in no way is use of "bimbo" meant to be a patriarchal stereotype. please do not take it offensively, this is a work of fiction.
gojo x bimbo!reader. gojo lives for your bimbo energy. he's a chaos god in his own right, so your shared love of all things sparkly, frivolous, and utterly extra is a match made in heaven. he showers you with designer everything, not just because he's rich, but because he genuinely enjoys seeing you light up over a new lip gloss or a ridiculously fluffy keychain. he'll even indulge your more… interesting fashion choices, like that time you decided to bedazzle his sunglasses. he secretly thought they looked better that way. and when you get all flustered and confused trying to explain something, he finds it absolutely adorable. he'll tease you relentlessly, of course, but it's all in good fun. he's got a whole folder of pictures of you making silly faces.
geto x bimbo!reader. geto and you are the ultimate self-care duo. face masks, bubble baths, the latest celebrity gossip magazines – you're both obsessed. he genuinely enjoys the pampering just as much as you do. he'll even help you pick out the perfect shade of nail polish, offering surprisingly insightful opinions. your girly nights are legendary, filled with laughter, whispered secrets, and an endless supply of snacks. he appreciates your positive energy and how you always manage to find the silver lining, even when things get tough. plus, he's not going to lie, seeing you look absolutely stunning always makes his heart skip a beat.
nanami x bimbo!reader. nanami, the epitome of logic and reason, is utterly charmed by your… unique way of thinking. he finds your questions baffling sometimes, but he never dismisses them. he patiently explains complex concepts, breaking them down into bite-sized pieces until you (sort of) understand. he's secretly fascinated by how your brain works, or rather, how it doesn't work in the way he expects. he'd never admit it, but he finds your naiveté refreshing. and that little furrow in your brow when you're concentrating? absolutely melts him.
choso x bimbo!reader. you and choso are two peas in a pod, blissfully unaware of… well, most things. you share a profound connection based on mutual confusion and a love of all things cute and cuddly. you spend your days making flower crowns, trying (and failing) to bake elaborate cakes, and having deep conversations about the meaning of life (which usually devolve into giggling fits). he's your biggest cheerleader, always hyping you up, even when you've just tripped over your own feet for the fifth time. together, you navigate the world with a combination of optimism and sheer dumb luck, somehow always landing on your feet.
toji x bimbo!reader. toji is completely baffled by you. he can't understand how someone can be so… oblivious. but your cluelessness is also strangely endearing. he'd never admit it, but he finds your reactions when you're confused hilarious. he'll watch you struggle with something simple for a while before finally taking pity and helping you out, all while trying to maintain his grumpy facade. he's also strangely protective of you, even though he'd probably deny it if asked. and he definitely, definitely wouldn't admit that he secretly finds your "pink puppy" look adorable.
sukuna x bimbo!reader. sukuna, the king of curses, has become your personal dress-up dummy. you have an endless supply of bows, ribbons, and other sparkly accessories, and he's your favorite subject. he tolerates it (mostly) because, well, you're surprisingly persistent, and he finds your enthusiasm nice. he might even find a tiny bit of amusement in it. he'd never admit that he secretly enjoys the attention. he just rolls his eyes and lets you have your fun, knowing that eventually, you'll get bored and move on to something else. he's learned to strategically place things so that the bows don't actually impede his movements too much.

Lovie and alessia taking on dc, Lovie overheating at the games and having a horrendous time because she’s too warm and the girls on the bench are very worried and trying to cool her down
waterfall | alessia russo x child!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
grumpy masterlist
america was hot in august. washington dc in august was sweating. your tiny little body was basically melting. alessia had been constantly, since the day you arrived, been covering you in sunscreen and making sure you had a hat on and a bottle of water with you at all times.
the half time whistle had just blown at the game against washington spirit, you’d been sat with kyra and steph for the first part. steph making sure your cap stayed on your head as the sun was blearing down on the subs bench. each of the girls sat with a cold towel around their necks to keep cool or their sub bibs over their heads to create makeshift shade.
kyra and steph had been instructed to warm up and with your mummy gone down the tunnel for half time to get changed, alessia being subbed off now and not playing the second half. you followed steph and kyra down to the sideline.
the two australian girls doing their warmup wanting to get most of it done before the sprinklers came on, to refresh the pitch for the second half.
“you coming tiny?” kyra asked as she pointed to where the girls where walking which was back towards the bench so the two could finish getting changed to be subbed on after half time.
you staring in awe at the two sprinklers in the middle of the pitch, your tiny little head telling you to go and run in them.
“we play in that waterfall?” you asked, pointing to the water that was shooting in the air. kyra looking at your small pout really trying to find it in her to say no but she couldn’t instead she asked steph, she was responsible.
“tiny wants to know if she can stand under the sprinkler?” kyra asked with a similar pout to the one you had asked her with, you coming to stand next to steph you giving her your signature puppy dog eyes knowing that not many of the girls could resist your cute face. you having quite a few of them wrapped around you little finger.
“yeah but she’s gonna get soaking- what will less say?” steph rambled on as both you and kyra stayed in position.
“but it’ll cool the kid down, it’s boiling!’ kyra pointed out as steph hummed before mumbling a yes. you and kyra jumping in excitement as you ran off towards the pitch.
“your telling less it was your idea!” steph called out as she watched kyra run after you, the young australian lifting a thumbs up to steph as she watches as the two of you were in the light spray of the sprinkler it being nothing but refreshing.
you played in the spray of the sprinkler, squealing and laughing every time it would pop back out after being gone for a few seconds. alessia had been told by steph that you were playing in the sprinkler and alessia wasn’t too fussed about it much to the australians surprise.
you were having fun, it was cooling you down and it was helping to tire you out meaning you’d probably be asleep by the time the team got back to the hotel. that sounded like too many wins in alessia’s head.
half time was just about to be over as kyra raced you back to the touchline, you cheekily sticking your tongue out at her when you beat her back to the white line. kyra definitely not letting you win.
alessia was stood waiting, a small towel in her hand she’d found in the changing room waiting to scoop you up after your fun.
“have you had fun lovie?” your mummy questioned as a bright smile was on your face as you ran into the blondes arms, nodding quickly.
“yes! it so fun. it like a massive waterfall! we get one for our garden?” you asked, your brain thinking of all the fun you could have with one of them in your garden. the possibilities were endless in your mind.
a laugh leaving your mummy lips as she smiled wrapping the towel around you and taking you down the tunnel to get you changed, “we’ll see”

hey honey can i request a shy!reader x grumpy!eddie , maybe they’re pumpkin picking with friends & something angsty ensues but then fluffy & after they all go eat at the diner and get spooky themed orders 🤭
thanks for requesting lovie! — eddie gets grumpy on a fall outing with the gang (shy!reader, established relationship, hurt/comfort, 1.3k)
fictober (㇏(•̀ᵥᵥ•́)ノ)
Eddie’s a big ol’ grump at Eugene’s Pumpkin Patch, but he’s being really brave about it. He follows you like a puppy, visibly unamused about the whole thing but trying hard to be a good boyfriend despite his woe.
“Ah! Look at this one!” you gasp at the sight of a pumpkin, in a sea of bright orange pumpkins.
Swallowed whole by your sweater, you crouch in the tall grass and reach for the tiny round thing hidden in it. The runt pumpkin sits neatly in your palms. “It’s so wittle,” you singsong up at Eddie in a tiny, high-pitched voice.
He smiles despite himself, laughing even though he’s grumpy, ‘cause you’re the cutest thing he’s ever seen.
“I’m gonna get this one,” you announce affirmatively when you rise to full height again.
“You made me drive an hour out just to get the tiniest pumpkin they have?” Eddie asks, laughing still but with a subtle bite of annoyance.
You try to ignore it, though the weight of his aggravation makes you writhe. “But it’s cute…” you defend with a weak shrug. “And also, you have to get one, remember?”
You take a tentative step towards Eddie, standing chest to chest. He huffs and puts his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket. His chocolate eyes flit around the expansive farm, dull and unimpressed. “They all look the same, so… I don’t think it really matters.”
“It does matter!” you insist, girlish and quiet and stubborn. “You have to pick the one you like the most— that’s the whole point!”
“You’re telling me there’s an art to pumpkin picking?” the boy teases with a crooked grin, tilting his head to the side so his curls bunch at his shoulder.
Still clutching the tiniest pumpkin either of you have ever seen, you nod. “Yes. That’s exactly what I’m telling you.”
He scoffs again in a curt laugh. He looks around again, only to point to the one sitting by his feet.
“Alright… How about that one?”
“Eddie!”
“What?” he whines in the same pouty tone as you.
“Can you at least pretend you’re having fun?” you murmur, a bit sad you have to even ask.
You always spiral when he gets weird, secretly terrified that it’s all your fault. He doesn’t talk, so you overthink. Your brain gets mean, and you need Eddie to make you feel better — but he can’t because he’s weird. It’s unbearable. For both of you.
“It’s cold and rainy and Steve’s pants gave me a headache on the way over and I don’t feel good, okay? I’m sorry,” Eddie rambles with a pout, looking visibly pained about all of it.
Any excitement you had left leaves you like an ebbing tide. “Okay,” you mutter with a soft nod.
“I’m gonna go smoke,” the boy announces.
He smacks a fleeting kiss to your cheek before he goes but doesn’t bother to invite you to come with him. He doesn’t feel very deserving of your company right now, too selfish in his woe and painfully self-aware about it.
You stand in place while he walks back to the van, feeling utterly alone and unwanted.
“Where’d Eddie go?” Steve wonders when he walks up to you with Robin at his side.
They carry two pumpkins each, struggling with each of them because they’ve somehow managed to find the biggest ones on the whole farm. You figure they made a bet about it because everything’s a competition with them.
“Um… to smoke, I think,” you answer shyly, embarrassed to have been found alone for a reason you can’t name. “He just kinda… left.”
Robin scoffs. “I think he’s on his period,” she jokes with a gritty laugh.
“Yeah. He said my pants looked stupid before we left. I knew something was up.”
The brunette girl side-eyes the boy beside her. “I think he might’ve been right about that one, Stevie.”
You make a quiet exit when they begin to bicker back and forth. You duck through the bustling pumpkin patch and try not to trip in the tall grass on your way to Eddie’s van.
Your boots crunch over the gravel of the parking lot. You find him leaning against the trunk, blowing out smoke from his pink mouth, slouching like he’s weighed down by his own sadness.
“You okay, Eds?” you ask to announce your arrival.
His eyes widen when he realizes you’re there. He’d pretend to be fine if it didn’t take all the energy he had left. “No,” he answers honestly, then quickly corrects, “I mean— I am, but… I feel bad. I was acting like a dick…”
“Yeah,” you concur with a nod. “You were.”
He’s too shocked to hide it on his face. You’re never normally so confrontational. You’re usually too quiet for that, too soft. And you still are now, because you always are, but he feels like he deserves to see this sterner side of you.
“But it’s okay. I know you didn’t wanna come in the first place.”
He turns on his shoulder when you stand at his side, towering over you as he flicks the butt of his cigarette. “Yeah, but… I didn’t have to be such an asshole to you about it. I feel like I fuckin’ ruined this whole day, you know?”
“We all have our moments, Eds. It’s no big deal,” you assure with a weak shrug and a stronger smile. “We still have the whole afternoon left— you didn’t ruin anything. Doesn’t make me love you any less, either.”
Your words make him grin. Like, really grin — all wide and rosy and boyish. You make him smile like nothing’s ever hurt him. Like nothing’s ever been wrong in his life. Fuck, he’ll never get tired of hearing you say that.
“I love the shit outta you, you know that?” he mumbles but doesn’t give you a chance to answer. He tosses the cigarette to the ground and snuffs it out with his sneaker right before kissing you absolutely stupid.
He wraps his arms around your neck, smothering your face with his. No one’s ever been kissed as hard as he’s kissing you now. The realization makes you smile too wide to kiss him back.
He pulls away from you with a hearty smack. With pinker lips and chocolate eyes, he grins hopefully down at you. “So you’re not mad at me?” he wonders, gentle like a child.
“Yes,” you nod, playfully firm. “I’m very mad, actually.”
Eddie’s smile widens. He knows you’re joking and decides to lean into it. “What can I do then, huh?” he murmurs lowly to you, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “How can I make it up to you?”
He wants to kiss you again. He wants to get you in the back of his van in a vacant parking lot. He wants you to tell him to make you feel good and not to stop until you’re pushing him away.
You know all of this, ‘cause you can practically read his mind, so you decide to drive him crazier. “I want you…” you start in the same low tone, bordering on sultry.
Eddie’s already nodding.
You smile and continue.
“…To go pick your most favorite pumpkin in the whole patch, and then take me to Benny’s Burgers.”
Feeling slightly disappointed and utterly teased, Eddie searches the entire patch and finds the weirdest-shaped, wartiest pumpkin the earth has ever grown. He drives the gang to the diner after and sits you in his lap when all of you squeeze into one booth.
He shares his milkshake with you and lets you have the pickle slice that comes with his burger when you ask for it (‘cause everyone knows it’s the best part). It’s the purest form of love, if he has anything to say about it.
