taking a break from asks to write for my favorite character of all time :3 i've been mega-fixated on him since i was like 9 that's fucking crazy (also slendermansion haters dni!!!! im a slendermansion TRUTHER)

he'll go on like, 7 hour long walks and collects dead bugs in a plastic bag and (tries to) pin them

he's the type of guy to have a pet spider

literally lives in the same musty hoodie and only takes it off to wash it

his music taste is a combination of numetal and emo, and hollywood undead is his favorite band

he's very 2000s older brother aesthetic if you know what i mean

he has a lot of body mods because he 1. thinks they look cool and 2. can't feel the pain that it takes to get them

lots and lots of stick n pokes

he has his septum, a nostril, both eyebrows, dolphin bites, n his tongue pierced (he did them himself)

he's in the process of stretching his ears and his septum too :3 but not too big cuz it freaks him out

he's literally always chewing on something

his go-to snack is a cherry pepsi, cool ranch doritos or pizza combos, and sour patch kids

the woods is his happy place

he loves messing with his appearance :3 he thinks of it as just getting to customize his character

he keeps his hair on the longish side but you can't really tell because it's curly

he likes to mess with it every now and then n change the style (which you can tell by the faded raccoon tails and blonde-ish ends of his hair)

-You met at a bar when your friend cancelled on you last minute, she offered to buy you a drink and you chatted at the bar until she invited you back to hers, this was back when you were 22 and she was 25 so her flat was more modest but still well decorated and clean. You both shared a bottle of wine and sat and spoke more for hours until you were both so drunk you started doing karaoke together by watching youtube videos on her TV, she invited you out to an actual karaoke bar as your second date and she only fell even more in love with you the more she saw you.

-I think she would work in corporate like a lawyer or investment banker or something so I think she would try and work from home as much as they would let her.

-She looks so funny when she works from home too because she wears work clothes on her top half for her zoom calls but then she would be wearing pj bottoms and her slippers on her bottom half.

-Such a victim of Apple's marketing, always insists she needs the newest phone or whatever they had brought out, she has the watch, the phone, an ipad, an imac, macbook pro, airpod pros and airpod max's. Literally everything they sell because she's actually a tech geek at heart.

"I totally need it."

"Give me one reason you need an iPad Abigail."

"...I don't know, it's just cool."

You roll your eyes at her but chuckle at her insistence as you press a small kiss to her pouty lips. She smiles at you and looks like a child on Christmas day as she orders her new toy.

-She would so wear the airpod max's while working out and i think she'd always have one of those gallon water bottles that she'd take everywhere with her.

"Babe please just let me buy you one, trust me it will make you drink so much more water."

"No it won't, do not waste your money seriously." She'd huff at your stubbornness and go and buy you one anyway.

-I think she would workout at night or during the day if she can fit it in which rarely happens because she enjoys her mornings with you where you guys cuddle and chat and have breakfast together before she goes to work or gets started in the home office

-Does majority of the cooking because she really enjoys it and is also a chef, like she whips up three course meals so regularly like its nothing.

-You try and make dinner together on the weekends which equates to her micromanaging you until she gets too stressed watching you mess up and does it herself while you sit on the counter entertaining her.

-She always goes to sleep as big spoon and always wakes up as little spoon, every night, without failure. Also loves to lay on your stomach with her arms around your waist, one of her fav cuddling positions.

-She's the kind of person to ignore and persevere through a cold until she literally passes out and will get mad at you when you have to force her to rest but once she's comfy and has accepted she's ill she's such a baby.

-She would be so good with kids and they would all love her too like when you would go to family gatherings together all the kids would always be glued to her pulling her every which way

-loves dogs and cats and wants two of each

-loves home date nights where you cook together and watch films or play games whether its board, video or card games. Once you bought a fake police file and tried to figure out who the murderer was, it ended in a huge argument because you couldn't agree on who it was, you were so annoyed you made her sleep on the sofa but in the middle of night she sauntered back into your room and climbs into bed cuddling into you.

"Sorry babe, you were right." She kisses your forehead and you smile as you both go to sleep happily, Abby had managed to find the answer online but she didn't tell you that you were in fact wrong, she would rather be in bed cuddling you than prove she was right.

-I think she would want 3 kids, preferably boy, girl, boy or vice versa but she would be happy with any kids.

-If/when kids come along she starts working from home primarily and you watch them grow together.

-She would eventually want to move away from the city where she lived for an easy commute to work to a beautiful house in the country with large fields behind a huge back garden where the dogs and cats, and ducks all play with the kids.

-She would love reading crime thriller books but she also has a guilty pleasure for romance and sometimes she'll sit in bed with you and read you parts of the books. Can imagine older Abby refusing to get reading glasses because that makes her officially old but she’s literally holding the book as far as it will go and squinting so hard and she still can’t read it, you eventually give in and read it to her which only motivates her to not get glasses more because this was a way better option.

-Loves Family Guy, American Dad, South Park, all those kind of shows but if you put on a drama she'll grumble and then be hooked.

"Oh my god, oh my god, are you fucking kidding me? Noooooooo." Abby yells at the screen as she watches the season 1 finale of vampire diaries with you, you had started rewatching it as it was nostalgic and she made fun of you so much until you forced her to watch the episode you were watching.

Like I could so see her watching greys anatomy and sobbing when there's a major character death

-Goes to get mani pedis with you and she'll always get her nails painted to match the colour of yours even when you'd pick super bright to mess with her she'd get it without batting an eye.

-Of course she gets along super well with all your friends and family, sometimes you think they love her more than you 😀

Hi guys :') To my followers and tumblr friends, I'm really sorry if my sudden disappearance scared or upset you. It wasn't quite... planned. And today was a busy day and I needed some time to consider what I wanted to do.

Short version of the story:

My tumblr account got terminated for copyright infringement. A certain Mr. Green got me in unlucky trouble (ref 1, 2).

I won't get it back, or try to get it back. It's gone.

Needed a moment to consider 2 options: ask Mia to extend my dramatic farewell letter and stay gone, or make a new blog.

Not planning to post new writing here. I won't be using words like 'never' or 'forever' because I'm a known clown with things like this, but the intention is to no longer post fics. I will finish Tickletober on AO3 and then take a break from writing. So yes, I cancel the swiftscribbles event too, sorry!

When I opened my laptop, I could see my old blog in its final hour lmao (I found out about the loss on my phone). So that's what the snap is from on a fitting grave. It was fun while it lasted!

Long version of the story:

Losing my blog(s): My Tumblr account with main blog + sideblogs got terminated overnight, it was quite the surprise! I've either been reported or tracked by bots. The posts are a bunch of numbered URLs I can't open, but the message is clear: for including anime content, genshin impact or media from other sources (whether it's videos, screenshots, official art, gifs or even fanwork) you technically can get a strike. Upon googling the claimer I quickly found this first, and knew it was a lost cause. Although it feels shitty and unlucky, I am in no place to appeal. It's like when I used to make AMVs in the past, you never knew whether a song or even anime footage was going to give your YT account a copyright strike or even a ban, it was a gamble. I have lost YT accounts before, and now I lost the Tumblr one. With 7+ years of tickle trash content and a bunch of sideblogs. But oh well, moving on!

Starting a new blog: It was a serious consideration whether this was my ultimate chance to do what I've always said I wanted to do eventually - quit my blog. My first thought was to ask Mia to share my explanation and literal goodbye with you guys, and stick to my chaos of a Twitter account to indulge in fandom stuff. But then I thought of how happy Tumblr made me, even without the fic writing, but just.. reblogging things, getting random asks, shouting about life and of course, about tickles. I decided to make a new blog after all, but also decided the following:

The 7K+ milestone swiftscribbles event is cancelled, for which I apologize! The follower milestone, together with the motivation to write the fics, and even the asks with the requests I got, all died with my former blog.

I will see how long I can survive without posting a new fic or drabble. A loose headcanon or two might fly around sometime. And if necessary, a link to a new fic on AO3.

Tickletober? Hell yes I'll finish it, I would cringe in bed for 49 days at least if I would stop. I just won't post the fics here, but on AO3.

Reposting/reblogging my old works? Undecided at the moment but I'm tired and lazy. I don't feel too upset since most of my fics are still on AO3 at least and not completely gone.

Anyways, I'll see what happens and how long I can enjoy this nerfed version of blogging.

Surprisingly I'm not upset about losing my other blog, there were a lot of memories but it was also very cringe. I'm gonna be just as cringe here, but at least I feel cleansed.

Referencing your tags, would you please elaborate of ableism in fandom and, like you said, how fandom treats characters with unpalatable disabilities?

Hi Ms. Bud Lite I'm a big fan of you <3

TL;DR A fear of writing characters of highly marginalized identities shields you from criticism and discomfort, but it's actively stigmatizing to people of these identities and as a writer you really need to get over yourself and write The Icky People.

I guess I'll come out swinging on this one and say that fandom doesn't like severe mental illness. (As a note, when I say severe mental illness (SMI) I mean illnesses such as psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, personality disorders, etc)

Obviously, nobody likes people w/SMI. It's just insanely egregious in fandom to me, since fanfic writers absolutely love writing characters or HC characters with depression, anxiety, or a specific variety of PTSD That Isn't Scary. People actively reject any character HCs for a SMI. When people write a character with SMI, they nicely downplay it, ignore it, substitute it for a disorder they like better, or rewrite it. It's completely untolerated, in both headcanons and in fanfiction, and every time I bring it up I always get the most interesting reasons why somebody couldn't possibly acknowledge a character's SMI in their writing. I've heard all of these:

"I don't know enough about the disorder to write it accurately." Do research.

"I'm not X, so I can't really depict it." You probably aren't a cis white man, but you depict those guys just fine.

"It feels insulting to the character." There is no shame in having a SMI.

"I can't understand what it's like, so it's better to be cautious and avoid giving characters stigmatized identities." There are LOTS of experiences that you'll never understand because you've never had them - you just don't want to write anything you're uncomfortable with. People with SMI make you uncomfortable, and you don't want to write anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, or think of a comfort character in an uncomfortable way. SMIs are marginalized differently than solely depression/anxiety/The Nice PTSD, and by refusing to write them you're actively contributing to the stigma.

I think (?) I've spoken in the past about how I believe that the rigorous external and internal policing of writing people of marginalized identities is actively harmful towards efforts to increase diversity of experience and background in fiction. A lot of fanfiction writers are just terrified to write people who they can't directly relate with, because they're worried 'they'll get it wrong' and be Big Cancelled. I think this is negative enough when it prevents people from going outside of their comfort zone, but on a macro level I think this results in people refusing to write characters of marginalized identities as all. It's an insidious thought process, and it's reflected in people's unwillingness to diversity their writing or acknowledge canon diversity.

'Well, I don't understand what it's like to be Black, so I don't want to write Black people'. 'I want to project on this character, so I only want to write them with mental illnesses and identities I have'. 'If I write a marginalized character incorrectly people will yell at me, so I won't write a marginalized character who's marginalized differently than me at all'. Can you imagine writing a lesbian character with a boyfriend because 'you feel uncomfortable writing lesbian experiences'? It's blatantly homophobic. But people do that with disability and race/ethnicity ALL THE TIME.

People with SMI notice that you feel uncomfortable with them. It's obvious. They notice when a character has a SMI + anxiety, and you only write their anxiety. They notice when a character displays symptoms of a SMI in canon, but you write it out. And POC notice when the characters of color are written out. I know we all like to project on the blorbos and relate to them, and in the joys of your own head do whatever, but as a writer if you only stick to identities you're comfortable with you are actively being a worse writer. Which to me is the REAL sin lmfao.

For the character asks, Lance Hunter

Thanks for the ask! 💙

First impression: Loved him. I think I found him a little bit annoying, but in a good way, of course.

Impression now: I somehow love him even more. I still can't believe the writers just wrote him and Bobbi out because they were such great characters. He deserved to stay even just for comedic relief, because God knows the team needed a laugh sometimes, and so did we.

Favorite moment: When he shows up in prison to "talk to his client" in season 5. That was so iconic because not only was it a great entrance, but also such a relief to see a familiar face in that situation, especially if said familiar face has a hilarious dynamic with Fitz. That was obviously written for the fans, so I have no complaints. Honourable mentions to when he punches the guy from the ATCU without so much as a second thought, when he rants about Bobbi in 2.04 pretending he's not in love with her, and when he goes undercover as an obnoxious IT guy.

Idea for a story: This is not my idea, but I need to know what happened when he and Bobbi almost got married again between seasons 3 and 5. What do you mean "the ninjas showed up"? This had so much potential, but I think the fact that he never explained makes it funnier. Is it a weird metaphor for something? Did some ninjas actually attack them right before the wedding? Are the ninjas some friends who didn't think they should get married? We'll never know.

Unpopular opinion: I've seen somewhere that Most Wanted was a bad idea from the start, and I'm here to tell you that's wrong. I think it's a tragedy that it got cancelled, because can you imagine the potential? A spinoff of the best show on Earth? Our favourite problematic spy couple on the run breaking the law and causing problems? How is that a bad idea. Even if the script was bad and the plot was bad and everything was bad, it's still extra screentime for two awesome characters. If nothing else, we all know he would have had hilarious one liners, and I would have loved to watch it.

Favorite relationship: Huntingbird. Yes, I know he and Bobbi had a LOT of issues, but that just makes it funnier. Their bickering was on point, and the way he so was so obviously down bad for her the minute the words "demonic hell beast" left his mouth is so pathetic and hilarious. On a more serious note, the way they worked together as agents was great. While they may not have always trusted each other, they always had faith in the other's capabilities to do a good job in the field and stay alive ("Don't die our there"). They worried, sure, but they didn't try to keep the other out of danger Fitzsimmons style because they knew they could handle things, and for the most dysfunctional relationship of the show, that was pretty healthy. As for platonic relationship, Fitz. All they had in common was the fact that they were sassy Brits with serious relationship issues, and that was somehow enough to form a great dynamic. I loved all their little moments in 2.04, especially when Fitz talked about his crush on Jemma in the weirdest, most uncomfortable, and out of context way, and Hunter just went along with it and comforted him.

Favorite headcanon: At some point watching season 6 I decided it was stupid that they hadn't returned to SHIELD, so in my head they did. It just didn't make sense that they still had to live a life on the run when SHIELD was a legitimate organisation again, especially when the new director was their best friend who could have pulled some strings to have them there. It would have been so cool to see them again, not to mention it would have been very helpful for the team. And can you imagine Hunter's reaction at seeing Sarge? If anyone could have added some levity to the situation, I know it's him.

Writing this made me remember how much I love and miss him. Please send me more!

Situation:

It's date night, but you have bruises and injuries that are hard to hide. When you want to cancel the date, your batcher hears on the comm that something is wrong and insists on seeing you at least briefly. He wants to make sure that everything is okay. You feel uncomfortable and try to hide most of it with make up and clothes, but you are not sure if it works.

He immediately sees that something is wrong, he senses it in your nervous, reserved manner, your posture and then your scarf slips, and he sees bruises on your neck.

He frowns very critically and carefully takes off your sunglasses, revealing the black eye that you have tried to cover more poorly than not with makeup.

You feel his mood shift. He's incredibly concerned, and underneath that concern simmers anger, not at you, but at the trigger of your injuries.

"Who was that?"

The question is simple, but somehow it sends chills down your spine. The usual lies run through your head, that you fell down, were attacked by a stranger, or a speeder accident, but you say something completely different to him, to your own surprise.

"My family… is a little difficult."

His brows shoot up.

"Excuse me, what? Your family did this?"

You hesitate, not knowing what to answer, you open your mouth but close it again and lower your head. You feel ashamed and helpless.

Hunter gently grabs your chin and forces you to look at him.

"Let me see."

He eyes you for a moment, then sighs softly, grabs your hand and says, "Come with me."

On the Marauder, he tends to your wounds with baccta. He has locked the two of you in the cockpit, so you can have a little peace from his brothers.

Suddenly, you hear him say, "You shouldn't go there anymore".

"Home?"

"This could be your home"

You laugh softly and ask with a smile, "The Marauder? There's barely room for you guys here, how am I supposed to fit in?"

He takes a deep breath and says, "I'll talk to Cid, have her withhold a portion of my pay for a room for you in her bar. Might get loud on the weekends, but you wouldn't be subjected to that abuse anymore."

"Hunter-"

"Please, I won't have a moment's peace at the thought of you going back there"

"What about my stuff?" you ask uncertainly, "They won't let me get my stuff"

"Yes they will, because you're not going to get it alone. I'm coming with you, I'm certainly not leaving you alone with them. If they get violent again, I'll get violent".

You are insecure, you don't know if all this can work, but you wish it could.

"Maybe Cid has a job for me too, something legit in the bar."

Hunter nods with a smile.

"We'll make it work, you'll see, once you're out of there, you'll clear your head and find a whole new way to express yourself."

With a grin, you say, "Maybe we should take Echo with us, he has a knack for bringing people to their senses when they get out of line."

Hunter laughs, "You think I can't do this on my own?"

"No, you are way too personally involved"

He nods with a little smirk.

"Good Point"

Echo

He looks at you very critically as you approach him at the meeting place.

"What happened?" asks Echo before he even says hello.

His gaze is very attentive and critical.

"What?"

"Your posture. You're in pain. And what are you wearing?"

Echo comes closer and gently takes off your silk scarf and sunglasses.

"Oh, Cyare… Who did that?"

His words sound incredibly melancholy and upset at the same time. He tries to hold your gaze, but you avoid him uncertainly.

"Don't make up lies now, please, tell me the truth," he says gently, stroking your cheek.

You shrug your shoulders helplessly.

"I don't know how to explain this, I don't even understand it myself".

Echo grabs your hand and slowly walks with you towards the Marauder, where he will examine you more closely and take care of you. Your limp worries him.

He sighs and asks, "It's your family, right? You're so different every time you've been with them."

You avoid his gaze again and remain silent, that's answer enough for him.

"I thought so," he says softly.

On the Marauder, he takes care of your wounds. Again and again, you avoid his concerned gaze and remain silent.

Echo finally finishes and looks at you with a sigh.

"You need to stay away from your family, you're obviously being treated more than badly there. I'm wavering between concern and anger right now, I'd like to go to your family and give them a piece of my mind, but my concern for you is paramount, first we have to make sure you're safe."

"I am safe with you"

Echo smiles.

"Of course you are, but I don't have an apartment, I'm still living on the street at the moment, or rather in the Marauder, and it's pretty cramped here. You can stay here for now, of course, I'm sure the guys agree that you shouldn't go back to your family. But we have to find a better long term solution. Maybe we can look for an apartment together? Or at least one where you can stay, and I can visit you anytime?"

You take a deep breath, afraid of change, of them coming to find you, but the thought of what awaits you when you go to your family overshadows any other fear. Echo is right, you shouldn't go back.

He gently leans his forehead against yours and says softly, "We'll figure it out, I'll help you with whatever it takes, you're not alone, Cyare."

He is so happy to see you that it almost breaks your heart when you see his expression change, and he gently pulls off your scarf and sunglasses.

"Cyar'ika…" he says, almost breathless with shock, "What happened? Who did this to you?"

He is so worried and looks so sad that tears come to your eyes. Wrecker hastily takes you in his arms and squeezes you gently.

"Oh my love, you are safe here with me, I promise you. It's okay, let it out, I got you."

It's been a long time since you've really cried, really let it all out, and right now in Wrecker's strong arms, you feel like you can finally let it all out. You sob and tremble in his arms, your fingers clinging to the edges of his armor breastplate, searching for a support.

He gives you time, gently cradles you, and whispers soft words about how much you mean to him. You don't realize how much you've held back, are shocked at how violently each sob shakes you.

As you slowly calm down, he gently strokes your head and says, "My love, Mesh'la. Everything will be all right. Tell me who did this, and I'll take care of it, no one will ever hurt you like this again."

You lean your forehead tiredly against his chest and as you tell him, Wrecker is silent for a moment.

"I don't understand. But this is your family, why are they doing this?"

You shrug your shoulders helplessly, you could think about this for hours, philosophize and go into psychological detail, but you don't have the strength or the nerve. You are generally very tired.

"Okay, one thing's for sure, you're not going back there, certainly not tonight, as vulnerable and beat up as you are right now. Besides, you're not going there alone anymore"

"But then, where am I going?"

Wrecker lifts your chin, so you look at him, wipes away a few tears and says with a smile, "With us of course, with me and my brothers, we'll figure it out. You are safe with us"

Tech

He is already waiting for you at the agreed place. Tech doesn't have his data pad in his hand as usual, but looks at you with concern. He looks thoughtful as he takes the last few steps toward you.

"Do you want to tell me what's going on?" he asks gently.

You sigh softly and shake your head.

"Not really."

"Is there a reason you're wearing a scarf and sunglasses on a warm summer night?" he probes carefully.

You swallow, not quite knowing what to say to that, you should have realized that you can't hide anything from Tech. You hold still as he takes off your scarf and glasses.

"Dear goodness."

You lower your eyes, barely able to bear the horrified expression on his face.

"What happened? Did you get mugged? Who did this?"

For a brief moment, you toy with the idea of just lying and confirming his suspicions. But you've never lied to Tech before, and you don't want to start now.

"Unfortunately, no."

He blinks and looks at you questioningly.

"Then what happened?" he asks quietly.

You hesitate for quite a while before telling him the truth. Tech is visibly shocked by this revelation, at first he is so gobsmacked that he remains silent. He grabs your hand and leads you with him to the Marauder.

His brothers also look at you startled and ask questions, but Tech fends them off kindly but firmly, "Not now, let me handle this."

Once inside the cockpit, he asks you to sit down. Echo appears a short time later and gives Tech a medkit.

Echo says quietly to you, "We're here for you too, if you need us."

With a sad little smile, you say thank you and wait until he has left the cockpit again.

Tech begins to tend to your wounds and finally says, "You can't go back there, that's for sure."

He smiles as you look at him uncertainly and adds, "Don't worry about where you can stay, you can stay here for now, we'll figure out a longer term solution."

With a soft sigh, you nod, enjoying his care, the peace and security you feel in his presence.

"Everything will be fine, you'll see. Once you free yourself from your toxic environment, life will suddenly look very different. Trust me."

"I trust you"

"Good," Tech says with a smile.

Crosshair

You have a sinking feeling in your stomach when you see him standing at the agreed meeting place. You know Crosshair sees through you pretty quickly, especially when you're feeling bad and trying to hide it. Somehow he has a sixth sense about it.

When he turns around and sees you coming, you can already see him frowning critically from afar and taking a good look at you from a distance.

For a silly moment, you think about turning around and running away, but you don't really want to go back to where you just came from.

As soon as you are within earshot, he says critically, "I can smell from afar that something is wrong. Apart from the fact that you could hear it on the comm".

His brows draw together.

"You're walking funny. Are you hurt?"

He unknots his arms, which had been crossed until then, and comes closer as you stop some distance away.

"What's the matter with you? You're not usually this quiet."

"Nothing," you say and swallow.

"Sure," Crosshair says dryly, "You're doing great. And what's with that weird incognito outfit? Are you on the run?"

You want to protest, but your voice fails as he takes off your sunglasses. Crosshair stops in mid-motion.

"What the hell? Who did that?"

He sounds angry.

"It's complicated."

Crosshair grumbles, "Tell me."

With a sigh, you say, "There's nothing you can do, I don't want you to do anything."

Crosshair thinks for a moment, then growls, "So if you don't want me to get involved, then I guess it has to do with your family."

You avoid his gaze, but he gently but firmly grabs your chin and forces you to look at him.

"Kitten, I like to beat the shit out of anyone who did this to you. If that's not what you want… I have to accept that, but don't you think I should know what's going on?"

With watery eyes, you tell him what's going on, and he listens intently. Crosshair finally nods, pulling you close and into his arms.

"Okay, I'll stay out of it. Anyway, I'm not going to beat anyone up. But I can't leave you there either".

You cling to him and take a deep breath.

"But where do I go from here?"

Crosshair says with conviction, "We'll find a way, first you come with me, we'll tend to your wounds and then we'll see. Maybe my brothers have an idea. For now, you stay with us until we have something better for you."

THIS IS NOT ALL MY THOUGHTS CUZ ALL MY THOUGHTS ARE HOURS WORTH OF THOUGHTS. PROBABLY. here's some scattered initial thoughts . out of order

- vlad vlad vlad i adore vlad i wish he talked more. he doesn't even name drop the first time we meet the bleacher creatures! I think. I don't even remember when he name drops

- I don't think I'm overestimating it when I say I am the confucius guy. and the confucius guy has been fed very well this season. im SO grateful. I'm obsessed with him. He's cute. He's sometimes a little unexpected. He has about 5/6 minutes worth of angst. He's relatable. He is everything to me

- The Mary twist was hilarious, at first I had mixed feelings about the character being shoved in, but it built up to awesomeness

- It's been rough for Harriet... It's been real rough for her character. Which SUCKS cuz I wanna like her! I don't dislike her but Girl Why

- The writing has def improved since the last season! Hooray! Gives me 1% hope

- The JFK&Abe&Confucius trio is adorable and one of my fav things about this season. "We tried! Yeah yeah We tried!" "C'mon... C'mon...? C'mon... C'mon!"

- Joanfucius cute !! 7.5/10. Better than their s2 relationships (Joanfk/tubfucius)

- Jfabers are winning. And losing also

- Shower scene didn't happen

- I loved JFK's personality arc, his devils & angels, and him being more bisexual than ever. The explanation for the writers to "fix his personality" was genius

- I felt the increased amount of swearing made it so jokes or emotional moments involving swearing didn't hit as hard as they could have. And some sex scenes were dragged on for too long which wasn't useful narrative/comedy wise .. just uncomfortable

- I accept buff confucius into my life

- The new characters from ep 9... erm. I didn't like them much. I don't like the "here's character's love interest that is basically this character but opposite gender!" trope. The part with Mrs. C's cockney accent made me like her more though

- JFK'S DAD CAMEO !! HOORAY !! i wonder where the other dad is though ...

- I appreciated the references to previous seasons !!

- The ending left me in shambles & some actual grief. I loved the last episode, the way it parallels the first season finale, and the emotional drama, but I feel like they can't afford a cliffhanger. I would have liked some closure, as I have barely any faith in the animation+streaming industry and am 99% sure we're heading for cancellation. Boo-womp

- On the topic of ending, I headcanon that if the series does get cancelled, the clones actually get hit by the missile and DIE. I AM MAKING IT WORSE FOR MYSELF

He really is just a terrible teacher. He really really is. I have had many a professor that were BRILLIANT at their craft... terrible teachers. It goes beyond "oh they can't see the board" No he is very much a terrible teacher.

The fact that anyone passes his class at all is a miracle. Harry getting what he got on his OWLS just proves how hardworking and smart Harry is not how well of a teacher Snape is. If this was a real teaching situation he would have been let go SO fast because he really is just that terrible.

I hate it when people go to teach but never took a teaching class in your life. You think it's easy? You really think you can just go up in front of kids and just expect them to learn? No. Nope. Fuck him for that alone. Fuck Dumbledore for doing that. Those kids need an EDUCATION and they were robbed.

Sure!! I have so many, so I'll just drop a few here. If not directly about music, they are music related.

As it will become clear below, I think he's a metalhead (which is only half a headcanon, because he canonically likes rock, punk and metal. In addition to the posters I reference below, there also the Poison Idea poster from Batman #408 (I think??))

His favorite band is Lacuna Coil. Now, that one is based on the fact that he had a poster of Lacuna Coil's album Shallow Life on the wall of his room in the Nightwing Annual 2021:

I can't prove it's his favorite band, but he liked it enough to have a poster. Also yeah there's a Slipknot poster too but that was just a phase for him .

His favorite Lacuna Coil song is The House of Shame, but he can't always listen to it, because the lyrics hit too close to home :( He also always tries to go their concerts when they tour in the US.

He likes dramatic af music. I don't mean Evanescence dramatic (though he probably had an Evanescence phase lol). I mean stuff more like this and this. Theatrical bands. He once got into an argument with someone who said that a band he likes "had to stop being so dramatic on the stage".

Super specific, but the first band I linked above has three concept albums (and a fourth one that's also sort of related) telling the story of a character who sort of died and came back to life after drinking water of life, and couldn't go back to who she was before. So. hm, he'd be into that. He'd also be into the kind of aesthetic they have going on.

And frankly it's giving me pirate vibes and feeding some headcanons I already have for certain fan fictions I'm already working on/planning and someone make it stop I have too much shit to work on already wtf open head remove brain please

So feckit, here's my character history for Garp for my OPLA fanfic canon, for the hell of it and also to get it out of my head so I can work on what I actually want to work on right now.

Marine brat, family moved around a lot, but settled in Foosha Village when he was around six. Had one older brother (seven years older), father was a Marine Vice Admiral.

Bad relationship with father—he wasn't around much due to his work, and when he was home, the guy was kind of a major jerk.

Older brother sort of took on the fatherly role as a result, ended up joining the Marines at sixteen but staying relatively local at the base in Shells Town on a nearby island.

Made friends with a homeless girl named Helena at nine years old, who claimed her parents were pirates, and told incredible stories about their adventures.

Helena later reveals, when they're around thirteen and Garp points out that a lot of her stories don't add up or make sense, that her father was a Marine, and an abusive dirtbag. She had actually run away from home, stowed away on a pirate ship, and got dumped off in Foosha Village when they discovered her, and she plans on setting out as a pirate herself when she's older.

He's pretty resentful of the Marines because of his father, but he knows he's expected to enlist when he's old enough...

But fuck that, he's got an alternative now, and he's going for it, no holds barred.

Even if Helena insists on being captain and they butt heads over it a fair amount, he honestly accepts it because frankly he's head over heels for the free-spirited independent girl and he's pretty sure her ambitions have saved him from being molded into his old man's clone.

Fuel is added to the fire of his rebellion when his father is in town when he is fourteen and discovers his younger son's friendship with the street-rat Helena. Helena doesn't hold back her opinions of how much of an ass-bandit the man is, and he ultimately forbids Garp from seeing her.

Obviously that does nothing but result in him just seeing her in secret; not like it's that hard since his father is rarely around anyway.

A few days before he turns sixteen, his father arrives to take him to the base in Shells Town to enlist on his birthday. Helena proposes that they steal the man's personal sloop and set out in the night, and it's a sealed deal.

Three years in, they both have pretty hefty bounties and a decent crew put together, just enjoying freedom on the Grand Line.

But all good things must come to an end—they get into a firefight with a Marine vessel, and while they win...they learn that Marine crew was captained by Garp's older brother, who went down with the ship.

Garp can't take the guilt, no more than he can take how aloof Helena is about the ordeal, with her stating that all Marines are scum and she honestly can't bring herself to feel any guilt.

Their falling out results in him leaving, heading home to Foosha Village, and ultimately begging his father for a second chance at eighteen years old.

His father, an admiral now, agrees to pull some strings to get his bounty cancelled—as long as Garp enlists as a Marine and dedicates his career to hunting down and bringing in Helena...and, however reluctantly, he agrees.

He advances the ranks relatively quickly, having three years seafaring experience already, and his ability to think like a pirate means he's damned good at taking them down.

His father has already passed away by the time he manages to track down Helena at thirty-two years old in the North Blue. By now she is one of the most notorious captains in the world, known as The Siren for both her affinity toward music as well as her affinity for seducing her way out of trouble.

At some point, she's gained devil fruit powers (Mizu Mizu no Mi, Logia Type, Water), which has contributed greatly to her success.

He is frankly surprised when she willingly gives herself up on the condition that her crew is allowed to continue without her; Garp doesn't have much choice but to accept, as her devil fruit abilities make her nearly impossible to combat.

They're several weeks out from Marineford, which gives them a great deal of time to catch up while she's stuck in the hold.

She apologizes for being as cold as she was about the death of his older brother; says she knew it would ultimately drive him to leave her side and she felt it would be better if he left in resentment toward her than in guilt of leaving her behind.

And goddammit he's still in love with her.

Aaaand surprise surprise! she ends up preggo halfway to Marineford.

Whoops.

Unbeknownst to his own crew, he works out a plan with Helena to contact her crew and have them stage an attack to retrieve her, which he will intentionally lose, under the condition that she gives up her career as a pirate to raise their child.

Resulting in him returning to Marineford empty-handed, of course, with no one wise to the fact that Helena is carrying his child.

At this point Helena already has a base that has developed into something of a small village, an uncharted island on the Grand Line, of which she provided the coordinates to Garp.

The resulting falling out between him and Helena ends in them separating.

They marry in secret on the island, ultimately have two sons together, but everything comes full circle as his eldest son, Dragon, grows to resent him for being absent most of the time and not particularly personable when he is there, and ends up oposing the World Government directly...

And his second son (yes, another OC I've got a whole ass family tree going here) refuses to even accept his name after his older brother leaves, and ultimately runs away on his own in his early teens and joins Gol D. Roger's crew.

As a direct result of all this, when Garp ultimately takes his grandson in, he decides immediately that he doesn't want the boy involved with piracy...and yet he finds it hard to fault him for it when that is the path that Luffy ultimately falls into. His own history is a tremendous part of what leads to him letting Luffy go in Cocoyasi Village when he corners the Strawhat crew there.

Hello there Bug!! I've been thinking about Archie and Simon a LOT they have a house in my brain I love them so much

So of course I have obtained some headcanons for them and I just wanted to know what you thought of them. So this isn't an ask exactly but I wanted you to see it :)

SO OKAY onto the headcanons

Archie really loved fireworks pre-superpowers! As a kid he always got very excited to watch them because he had such an appreciation for the beautiful way they lit up the sky with vibrant colors and the way everyone around him seemed so joyful when they came. And after he got his powers he was more than a little heartbroken because he simply couldn't enjoy them any more without enduring excruciating pain every time he heard the booms.

Simon keeps so much Archie stuff at his house. A lot of it is for medical or comfort purposes, like ear muffs and weighted blankets for sensory issues or a million bandages and other med supplies LITTERING a bunch of rooms. But also. Some of it is just for fun, like souvenirs based on Archie's interests (Star Wars figurines?) and many many of his favorite foods all over the kitchen. You've already mentioned him keeping his favorite foods around so that's not really a headcanon but this is kind of an expansion on it

Archie has bad dreams. A lot of bad dreams. Usually he doesn't tell Simon about them, but he does talk to him. Simon can tell something is wrong, but he can also tell that it's purely emotional and that Archie isn't ready to share, so he doesn't pry. He just stays with him and talks to him about whatever he wants to talk about. He'll be ready eventually.

One time it came up in a conversation that Simon was a dog person who wanted to have a dog someday, one thing led to another, and he said he'd let Archie name them. Archie got SUPER EXCITED and decided he would take this job VERY SERIOUSLY and started brainstorming immediately and Simon eventually had to be like "okay I don't even have one yet and you need to take a breath"

As a sequel-headcanon to the first headcanon about the fireworks, Simon goes to fireworks shows whenever they're in his area, not because he particularly likes them but because Archie is always overjoyed when he comes back with blessedly soundless pictures and videos of the fireworks for him.

archie and fireworks:

headcanon IMMEDIATELY accepted. archie loves colorful things that sparkle. he LOVED fireworks as a kid. i'd even venture to say he liked how loud they are. he liked the crackly ones.

i feel like he'd look forward to every 4th of july just to see all of them.

the first 4th of july he had after he got his powers was. rough.

i'd like to think he didn't fully understand what his powers were for a while. he was only 7 after all. so maybe he thought it would be okay.

and then the first of the fireworks went off. and archie though his eardrums were genuinely exploding.

i also would like to think his mom wasn't that equipped yet. she didn't have noise cancelling headphones or anything like that, so that night archie spent the entirety of it in the closet, every blanket and pillow he had pulled over his ears, sobbing.

(don't worry it gets happier in the last one)

archie stuff at simon's place:

so yes. absolutely yes. archie spends maybe 35% of his time in his own apartment and the rest is spent crashing at simon's because he just cant stay away

the thought of simon having things for archie's sensory issues makes me SO happy. he definitely has the weighted blankets and he also installed lights with different undertones that wouldn't give archie as much of a headache.

he has so much medical supplies. everywhere. he is perpetually tripping on first aid kits and empty boxes of gauze (don't worry. archie helps him clean up)

simon has also learned to anticipate archie's snack cravings. he knows exactly when he gets tired of goldfish and goes to pick up some oreos and peanut pretzels because he knows that's next in the rotation.

AND SIMON ABSOLUTELY HAS SOME STAR WARS STUFF. some of it was gifts from archie but also some of it was stuff he bought himself because it reminds him of his Friend. he has a little grogu plush that lives on his couch

archie and bad dreams:

this one is so sad but unfortunately very canon.

archie dreams of a lot of things.

sometimes, its a flashback of the day he got his powers. the excruciating pain. the guys that did it. the needle. those ones hes a little bit more open to talking with simon about. simon knows what happened to him. he's there for him.

the ones he won't tell simon about are the ones where he fails to save simon from something. its a recurring dream. different scenarios, but all the same outcome-- simon dies because he wasn't fast enough. he can't tell simon about those dreams but they eat him up inside. its a constant source of Stress for him.

they will talk it through eventually.

archie and simon's future dog:

i truly don't have much to add to this one because it was so perfect. EVEN THE DIALOGUE YOU HAD FOR IT IS SO PAINFULLY IN CHARACTER. JUST THE

"archie. archie please take a breath. there is no dog yet. archie please."

archie and fireworks PT 2:

at first, i was like "mmm that probably wouldn't happen because simon doesn't like the fireworks either"

but then i realized that's what made it so good.

sure, simon doesn't really enjoy the fireworks all that much, but he can physically stand to go see them. its uncomfortable, but not unbearable.

so OF COURSE he would do that for archie. every 4th of july, simon sets archie up in his room, with pillows over the windows and doors to muffle outside noise. he gives him the soundproofing headphones and the weighted blanket and shuts off all the lights and then tells him

"stay here. i'll be back."

and he goes all the way across the city to get the best view of the fireworks and he videos the entire thing. all of it.

and the next morning, he and archie watch it together on the couch and archie has to fight his tears every single time.

because he never thought he'd find someone to go the extra mile for him. he never thought he'd find someone that loved him enough to do anything like this.

but he did.

What is your Undertale AU about?

- I just made some changes to the concept and story. Monoctale or Undermonoc; as the name suggests, is an AU where each character has a monochrome version of themselves, meaning a single color (black-white-shades of gray). Each character's monochrome version reflects differently in reality; a psychological distress experienced by the character can create their monochrome version, or a rare power deep within their souls can cause them to exist semi-physically, for example.

For example, the formation of the monochrome versions of some characters: Asgore: Asgore is a character with Multiple Personality Disorder in this AU. The way we separate him from the monochrome version is; We divide his name into two as "As-" and "-Gore". "As" is Asgore himself, the first and only personality that should exist in the body. "Gore" is Asgore's monochrome, aka his much more cruel version. Thanks to "Gore", Asgore was able to dare to take the lives of those little children. Making the barrier like this was actually "Gore"'s idea and "As" couldn't stop him and allowed him to carry out this cruel plan. At least the same thing didn't happen with Frisk. While "Gore" had killed other humans brutally, when Asgore was going to fight Frisk, "As" was in control and since he wanted Frisk to win, he fought in a way that Frisk could defeat him without using his real power, just like in the game.

Do you also have a Gravity Falls AU?

- Yes, but it was cancelled after Book Of Bill came out.
