He feels obligated to return the favor by cooking for you too. That's why he took charge of breakfast, always waking up before you to prepare what you like.

Likes hot foods and pasta. Loves handmade sweets.

He prefers traditional foods, but accepts trying new flavors when he's with you.

He loves going out to buy new ingredients with you, he knows a lot about the subject and would be of great help.

Kisame Hoshigaki

You know that popular saying that the best way to conquer a man is through his stomach? It applies very well to this man.

He likes to be spoiled with food and will be grateful for it so.. please cook for him.

His heart feels warm when he comes home and smells something delicious you are preparing.

He likes foods with a sweet and sour taste, and he loves meat. He also loves sweets, so it's not hard to please Kisame.

He loves trying new flavors with you. If you want, he'll even help you in the kitchen, but he's not very good (he's a bit clumsy).

He'll find a way to say thank you, whether it's washing the dishes, giving gifts, taking you out to eat, all of the above, whatever you prefer.

He's the kind of guy who would eat what you prepared even if it was completely burnt if he knew you put effort into it.

Deidara

He likes fast food, but is very happy when you cook for him.

Thanks to you, he's starting to eat more healthily, because he has a childish palate and is very resistant to exploring new flavors.

He likes spicy foods because are like an explosion in the mouth.

"I have to say, honey, your cooking is an art!" - he says with his mouth full when he really likes it.

One of his favorite moments of the day is when you're eating something you've prepared or he's bought, watching a movie and talking about anything.

It's something very simple, but if you make a cake just for him on his birthday, he'll feel so loved that he might even cry a little.

(Sometimes he brags to the other members about having such a skilled s/o in the kitchen).

But please keep this boy the hell away from the kitchen! When I say he's a complete chaos cooking, it's because the kitchen almost always explodes! Literally!

Sasori

He often forgets that he still needs to eat due to his puppet body, so he's grateful that you remind him. He still needs to eat a little every now and then to ensure a bit of vital energy or something.

And yes, that was the lie he invented to not disappoint you. And regardless of whether you believed it or not, he always eats your food, even though he knows how much work it will take to clean his insides afterwards (don't worry, he'll probably come up with something to solve this).

Understand, he lied because he knows how important cooking is to you, he sees how much you work at it, but had the misfortune of being with a guy who doesn't need to eat… but he couldn't risk hurting you for something that's his fault.

Sasori only eats your food and no one else's, no matter how much they insist.

He likes foods with strong spices, he no longer feels flavors in the same way as when he was a human.

At the end of every meal, he politely thanks you for the delicious food and offers to help with the dishes.

Kakuzu

He likes hot, very hot, and traditional foods. Doesn't like sweets.

He's great in the kitchen and sometimes cooks for you too, as a thank you. Kakuzu has many years of experience in the kitchen, take the opportunity to ask questions and get some tips, he may not show it but he really likes to help you.

Maybe you don't know, but Kakuzu practically never eats out, he knows that some people want him dead and could easily poison his food. So for him to eat everything you prepare without hesitation is really a great show of trust.

He is very silent while eating, but he doesn't mind if you want to talk about your day, he will be listening to every part.

He really appreciates your food, getting involved and asking about the spices you used, how you prepared it, he really likes it when you test a new recipe.

Always at the end of every meal he thanks you for the food and gets up before you to clear the table and wash the dishes, a silent way of thanking you.

Hidan

Spicy and crunchy foods and sour desserts, it's true heaven for him...

As incredible as it may seem, Hidan is very picky about his food, it's unbearable to go out to eat with him, it seems like he always makes a point of finding some flaw.

But it's the total opposite with you, he eats everything you prepare without complaining too much, just teasing you a little as always. Except if he is angry with you for some reason, then he will be impossible, no matter what you prepared, he will not eat it.

Hidan has a very annoying childhood palate, so don't force him to eat something he doesn't really like, like vegetables for example.

You'll probably have some arguments about him drink any kind of blood but not wanting to eat the soup you made (for example), but it won't change anything.

Whenever you enter the kitchen, Hidan follows right behind to find out what you're going to prepare and also because he loves to annoy you while you're cooking. He tickles you, bites you, hugs you, kisses you and even steals some utensils to disturb you before you kick him out of the kitchen.

Zetsu

He likes meat a lot, in fact you thought it was the only thing he could eat.

He is very impatient and even hugs you trying to convince you to let him eat before you finish.

"I don't care that it's not ready yet and it's raw, I'm hungry, love. Let me eat it just the way it is."

Not a very good critic of your recipes, he will eat literally anything you put in front of him and thank you for it.

You are the one who teaches him to have a more refined palate and he loves trying new flavors with you.

Zetsu grows a vegetable garden just for you, with everything you need fresh and tasty for your recipes.

Tobi/Obito Uchiha

Tobi >loves< sweets, make sweets for him and you'll have him curled up in the palm of your hand.

Both Tobi and Obito don't like spicy food.

He feels so loved when you cook for him <3 (a tip: prepare ramen for him when he's sad, it'll make him feel better).

Whenever he comes home early he brings you some sweets he bought at the bakery as a treat.

This is another man who is very easy to win over with his stomach. He'll feel very special if you tell him you've prepared something just for him. Make him your guinea pig for new recipes, he really doesn't mind and always gives you great feedback.

He always offers you the first bite out of respect, he is as happy to see you eating and talking about how tasty it is as he is to eat something you prepared.

Pein

Pein went through long periods of starvation as a child, so as much as it may seem, he isn't very picky about what he eats.

Likes hot and spicy foods. Hate sweets.

He is a great fan of your food, even if you've accidentally burnt it or overdone the seasoning, he'll be happy to eat something you've lovingly prepared.

Due to his work as leader of Akatsuki, he often forgets to eat properly. It's you who show up at his office and remind him to eat, with something you've prepared in hand, he's really grateful for your care.

He is always attentive to your needs. Did you like a cuter utensil kit than the ones you have? Are your. Wanting new seasonings? Suddenly they appear in your pantry. Everything you need.

Pein always makes it clear how he likes you to cook but that he doesn't want you to be overwhelmed with it, so he does everything to make this task easier for you, including ordering something from restaurants for you to eat and enjoy your free time together.

Konan

He likes mild sweets and, ironically, spicy foods. (Please make sweets for Konan, she likes a lot).

She will always feel like she is bothering or burdening you when you cook for her.

Konan isn't that good in the kitchen, so she's grateful to have a s/o who cooks so well. Sometimes she watches you cook to try to learn something, in an attempt to return the favor one day.

Buy a lot of sweets for you and make a point of always keeping your pantry well stocked so you don't have to worry about buying ingredients.

As I said, Konan doesn't like to burden you, so very often she takes you on restaurant dates.

Konan loves the culinary tours you plan, she could listen to you talk for hours about techniques, recipes and ideas. She loves seeing how excited you get talking about it.

Hates spending money, but will go broke simply on buying your gifts and taking you places during the day.

Will literally spoil you rotten. You’ll wake up to chocolates and other assorted gifts on the empty side of bed where he usually sleeps.

Hidan:

All the gifts he bought will be lined up on the bed in pretty red and pink bags with matching gift paper. A long and heart felt message written on the inside of a card will be placed neatly in front of one of the gifts.

To end the day, he’ll either cook you your favorite meal or take you out to your favorite restaurant to enjoy a nice meal.

Kisame:

Didn’t really understand the point of the holiday as he feels that everyday should be spent cherishing and loving your partner. Not just on a specific day.

So after speaking with Konan, he ran into town and bought the biggest bouquet of your favorite flowers, a case of chocolate, and a few other things that you’d pointed out to him prior.

The rest of the day would be spent wrapped in each others arms, watching movies and getting wine drunk while eating a hot, homemade dinner.

Deidara:

He’s so infatuated with you that he’d spend two weeks prior to v-day hand crafting pendants for jewelry and other little handmade gifts to give you.

Not only will your presents be hand made, so will your card. His somewhat sloppy script will cover the card front to back, explaining how much he loves you and how he wants to spend eternity by your side.

Deidara would order your favorite take out and take you on a picnic in a nearby flower field. Where when the night comes and the sky turns dark, he would send up some of his clay creations, lighting up the sky in pretty fireworks and explosions.

Sasori:

Just like Kisame, Sasori didn’t really get the whole craze about some dumb holiday. But, he wanted to spoil you nonetheless. So he told you to get dressed, which you gladly obliged.

The two of you visited a village nearby and had brunch before going to the theatre to watch a movie. After the film, he took you to your favorite shops, paying for anything and everything.

Sasori wouldn’t let you go the whole time, his hand wrapped securely around yours as you walked about. Planting soft smooches on your face as you enjoyed the day together.

Tobi:

For days before Valentine’s, he’d be so anxious, but in a good way of course. He had planned the whole day out weeks ago. Starting off by bringing you your favorite coffee and sweets for breakfast.

Repeating the same for lunch. It was after that, that he had you get all dolled up. Taking you into town for a museum date.

Good boy Tobi would finish the day with your favorite food, before stripping you of both your clothes. Buried deep in your cunt, as he whines and mutters about how much he loves you.

Zetsu:

Flowers. Everywhere. And I mean everywhere. He loves plants, and knows people gift their partners roses and such on this special day so what does he do? Buys a few different flower bouquets that end up littering your shared room. Bedside table? Yep. Bathroom counter? Best believe it.

Zetsu loves pampering you. He’d paint your nails to match his bright pink color. Sitting behind you as he brushes your hair. Applying your makeup for you if you wear any.

The two of you would take a long walk, enjoying the peace and crunch of the gravel under your shoes as you walk. Would find a nice place to sit near the water as you talked and shared a meal together.

Konan:

Just like Tobi, she’d have everything ready and prepared days ahead. Dinner reservations? Check. Nail salon date? Check. Making sure the book shop has that book you’ve been wanting in stock? Check.

After lunch in the village, it’s time for your nail appointment. The two of you sitting side by side as the nail techs paint and work on your nails. After paying, it’s time for the next stop. Konan would watch with a smile on her face when you pick up the book you wanted. Knowing she made sure the staff kept a copy specifically for you.

Konan would have rented out a private booth in your favorite restaurant. Keeping the entire area empty so you two would have your much loved privacy. Once the two of you have ordered your drinks is when she’d give you a heartfelt speech before dropping to her knee with a ring. Planting a deep kiss on your lips when you say yes.

Pain:

Would clear his schedule and make this a week long affair. Each day, you’d wake up to a new present or date planned. One day shopping, the next day, a movie. And so on.

On Valentine’s Day, he’d wake you up with soft kisses along your jawline before spending the whole day in bed. Watching your favorite movies and eating snacks. The room full of your shared laughter or screams if you watch horror movies.

Just like Tobi, he’d end the day covering your body in bite marks and hickeys. He’d take his time on you too, drawing out every orgasm, pulling moans and whimpers outta you into the early hours of the night.

hello!! i saw the tags on your pinned post abt how shoujo wasn't just romance and it got me curious bc i've read some nice shoujo but really dislike romance-heavy plots. are there any shoujos you like that don't have much or any romance in them? ty and i hope you have a good day! 💛

Oh, there are lots of mangas that are classified as shoujo and don't have romance!!

I am just now beginning my journey through shoujo as well, so I don't have a lot of recommendations for stuff I actually read, but the ones I did read or watch so far are:

Natsume Yuujinchou and basically anything else by its author, Yuki Midorikawa. Sometimes, her works do include romance, but the focus is almost always in the interpersonal relationships and the difficulties her characters go through in life. NatsuYuu is about an orphan boy who can see yokai, and for that reason he acts in "weird" ways and his foster families dislike him, so he keeps going from family to family. The story is about how he finds a good family who accepts and loves him, makes friends, and learns to make friends even with yokais.

There are currently 6 anime seasons out, and a 7th season is on its way, so you can either read the manga or watch the anime.

Akatsuki no Yona - i mean, this one does include romance, but i'll still put it on the list because as far as the anime went the focus is heavy on Yona's actual journey to gather the dragons of legend to be able to recover the kingdom that was stolen from her. It shows how Yona goes from a sheltered spoiled girl to a person befitting the title of dragon king.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom - this one is the og villainess isekai and it truly deserves the hype. It is about a girl who wakes up in the child body of the villainess of her favorite otome game. She remembers that the villainess' fate in the game was always either death or exile, so she tries her hardest to change her fate. This one is classified as a reverse harem, but the main character is pretty oblivious and worries more about farming and eating sweets and generally being the best girl ever than actually worrying about romance. Aro ace queen tbh. And her harem is just happy to be with her and be dragged along for her stupid adventures. Plus, the female members of her harem are taken seriously as well, Mary is a raging lesbian and it is not subtext. I mean, it is a shoujo, so of course the female characters would be important lol.

Usagi Drop - listen to me. You will absolutely not look for anything related to this manga. If you like the premise you can watch the anime. But, please, do not look for the manga. You will only be extremely disappointed by it. That being said, I recommend the anime. It is about a man who returns home for his grandfather's funeral and then finds out his grandfather had an illegitimate daughter who has now become an orphan. He ends up having to take care of her because the rest of the family considers her a shame to the family.

Now, for the stuff I havent seen yet, I'll just write some that are on my "plan to read" list and put their genres next to their names so you can check it out if you think the genre's sound interesting:

Limit (drama, psychological, school) (this one sounds incredible tbh, on a field trip their bus gets into an accident and only 5 girls remain, having to learn to survive and trying to assert themselves over one another because they hate each other.)

thoughts on itadei, itakisa, and itasaku? and i guess any other popular itachi ships that are not currently coming to mind for me lol

Love it. Have written tens of thousands of words about it. It's sort of a frustrating ship to write because they're both assholes about their own feelings (and I don't think Itachi in canon... has a lot of thoughts on Deidara), but Deidara has an extremely canonical gay melt down over Itachi, so I feel like there's a lot of ridiculousness to explore. The fact that they're both criminal villain ninja means there's a lot of room for understanding that other ships might not have. Yes, Deidara blows buildings up with people inside, what of it? He's not like "ooh aah you monster!!" over the Uchiha Massacre. And I like that they both have wildly different, but demonstrably lethal/successful, attitudes towards problem solving. Like I think they cover a lot of each other's flaws while also making each other worse, you know?

Since it's "brutally honest" opinion time, I will add a complaint I haven't made in a while. I hate the way a good chunk of fandom writes Deidara in mlm ships. For some reason, people like to make him a naive uwu bean to play the "feminine" role. Stop that, it's boring and OOC.

ItaKisa

This is a ship I don't really mind but also don't find super compelling. I'm not a big Kisame fan-- like he's fine, I like writing and reading about him fine-- but he's not one of my favorite Akatsuki members. I don't filter on ItaKisa but the tag won't make me NOT click a fic. I could be compelled to write it if I had an idea for it. I do prefer exploring their relationship from a more platonic angle. Kisame is most interesting to me when he's the guy dealing with Itachi's bullshit 24/7 and somehow still thriving.

ItaSaku

My original OTP!!!!!! Okay so I think they're super compatible and HERE'S WHY--

Basically I think Itachi is someone who has idealized romance in a way where he has an extensive very bland fantasy about nice Konoha girls who let him have the most bland vanilla hetersosexual marriage of all time. He wants the culturally appropriate equivalent of a white picket fence. Would he actually be happy with this? No, obviously not, but Itachi also thinks he's a pacifist.

Meanwhile Sakura is a violent maniac who is trying her hardest to BE that nice Konoha girl. They indulge each other's insane fantasies about it. Itachi looks at Sakura and is like: "oh yes, the perfect Konoha kunoichi, the student of the Hokage and Hatake Kakashi, a healer with the face of an angel--" But if his ability for self-analysis were 2% better he would realize his favorite Sakura moments are all like "ripped a man in half" and "brought that same man back from the brink of death to interrogate him." He is ready to lay back and let Sakura live out her own fantasy of Fixing the tragic S-ranked missing-nin WITH HER LOVE because that is also what Itachi wants. Ignore that the village is on fire, please

Other Itachi Ships

Let's see.... every once in a while I get intrigued by the idea of Kakashi/Itachi, but I have never hit on anything there that I really like. I'm fine with Shisui/Itachi, but I don't think Shisui has enough of a canon presence for me to go really feral over it like I would ItaSaku or ItaDei. I'm intrigued by some other Itachi/Akatsuki ships although I don't think any of them are popular. For example, I think Itachi and Sasori would clash horribly in that they're both assholes in similar directions, and this would make SasoItaDei a beautiful trashfire for Deidara specifically.

I've written some Itachi-Karin interactions that I thought were fun so I think ItaKarin could be interesting. Ummm..... OH! I regularly forget Izumi even exists. Sorry, Izumi.

Deidara personally arranges New Year's fireworks displays while Konan and Sasori handle other decorations for their new year's party, and they all help setting up the Lunar New year's Eve festivities in Amegakure

Offscreen, Konan is the mum of the group.

Tobi has a crush on Konan, and he hates that he does because he thinks he's being disloyal to Rin.

Kakazu's idea of money laundering is literally cleaning his dirty money, especially his coins.

Itachi has a mug declaring himself one of the only two sane Akatsuki members, (Konan has the other), and nobody disputes it.

The Akatsuki has a betting pool about whether Nagato and Konan are directly a couple, or if the Deva path (Yahiko's corpse) is dating her.

Obito sometimes steals Kakashi's Icha Icha collections, and hides them in the Kamui dimension. He also reads them.

Nagato makes Wizard of Oz references when Akatsuki members meet the real him.

Sasori's favourite song is There are no strings on me.

Every Akatsuki member, except Zetsu, Kakazu and Orochimaru, has given Konan valentine's day cards.

In his early days as a member, Itachi would have nightmares, and Konan would take it upon herself to calm him down and comfort him.

Obito (as both Obito and Tobi) tried to win the Dango eating world championship, and lost to Anko Mitarashi both times.

20 Headcanons of my Favorite Akatsuki Member: Deidara

Something something the clay in his body/all the clay he’s chewed up somehow serves to severely dull his sense of taste. Therefore everything he eats *needs* to have an insane level of spice and heat to it just for him to be able to taste it.

His love of explosions is an inverse to his childhood fear of thunderstorms. At first he was afraid of monsters and his mom told him that if you make yourself scarier than the monster, the monster can’t hurt you. Cue Deidara practicing making the most horrible faces imaginable to freak out the creature under the bed. Later on Dei is scared of thunder and lightning, so mom tells him “be more fierce than the storm”. Thus is born experimenting with explosives.

He’s actually a fairly shy person. If he’s loud and obnoxious around you, it’s only because you make him feel comfortable enough to be so.

Deidara does not feel sexual attraction to someone unless he’s developed a very strong emotional connection to that person.  And even after that, sex to him isn’t all that important. He enjoys physical contact like hand-holding or kisses on the shoulder or neck more.

Dei is very intelligent. Scarily so. He thinks out five thousand moves ahead of everybody else all the time. But the problem is that he lets anger and impulsiveness take over so much of his brain that his logical side doesn’t get a chance to speak up as much as it needs to.

Deidara cherishes good conversation above all else in his friendships and relationships. Talking and debating over different topics gets him going in a way nothing else does. This is one of the primary reasons he fell so hard for Sasori; he’d never met anybody who could engage with his mind the way the puppet could.

Over time, Deidara came to feel very close to every single member of the Akatsuki, thinking of them as a second family. He even came to value Itachi, and enjoy being in his company, although it would take a miracle to pull this fact out of Dei willingly.

Dei is a big lover of stuffies/plushies. He feels a special kinship to those that are considered “ugly” or have something wrong with them (like a missing eye or a tear in the side).

Everyone assumes that to have flawless skin and perfect hair like Dei, that he must have an insane 29+ step skincare and body routine. But no. He’s just blessed with spectacularly good genes. He could skip washing his face and hair for a week and still look like he’s just stepped off of the cover of a beauty magazine.

When he was younger, he was highly sensitive about his looks. He was often bullied by outsiders for having arguably “feminine” features. He always felt his long hair was the majority of the problem and would beg his parents to cut it, but in their clan, cutting the hair was a taboo thing. Later in life after he lost his parents, he decided to keep his long hair as a tribute to them.

When he left home as a young teen, he spent a lot of years traveling and living off the land. He’s gotten to know about different types of animals and plants, and taught himself to fish and trap. Because of this nomadic lifestyle, he often feels uneasy or restless when settling in one place for more than a week.

Deidara figured out that “Tobi” was an Uchiha very early on in their partnership. He observed Tobi’s habits and even saw his unmasked face (and his sharingan eye) a few times, when Tobi had assumed Deidara to be asleep. But Dei was smart and realized that outing him or confronting him over it would likely end in Deidara’s own death. Therefore he continued to treat Tobi as if he was just a simpleton and never let on how much he actually knew. But Deidara’s constant training of his eye to be able to counteract gengetsu was as much for Tobi as it was for Itachi.

When he was a child, Deidara was embarrassed by the hands on his mouth, feeling like they made him a freak. Therefore he would never go out in public without gloves on, even in the hottest weather.

Dei has a voracious appetite and an insanely high metabolism, so he can eat and eat and remain as skinny as a rake. The first time Sasori ever took him on a date, he was mildly alarmed at how much food Deidara was able to put away, and went to Kakuzu later to ask if that was “normal human consumptive activity”.

Deidara isn’t one to dwell on feelings of loss or sadness but after Sasori’s death, he was consumed by depression for at least a year afterwards. Although Sasori’s puppet body was taken away, Deidara went back later and made Sasori a clay headstone at the spot where he died. He often goes to visit it, sitting and talking to the stone whenever he has free time. He also managed to find Sasori’s Akatsuki cloak and he uses this as a second blanket most nights.

Other than his own explosives, Deidara is extremely clumsy with weapons. He just doesn’t feel comfortable wielding anything other than his bombs.

He adores eating any and all types of fish, and although he isn’t the best cook he enjoys experimenting with different ways to prepare pescatarian dishes. He prefers fish he catches himself rather than buying from a market or peddler, and whenever the group has down time, he’ll often ask Kisame to go fishing with him. His biggest accomplishment was once wading into a stream where a salmon was trying to swim up a waterfall, grasping it and getting it to land with his bare hands.

Deidara is a complete lightweight when it comes to alcohol. One tiny drink is enough to put him on his ass. Also “drunk” Deidara is even MORE talkative than normal Deidara, so the others don’t include him when they drink very often.

In modern times, Deidara spends all of his free time in his room, listening to loud music (mostly Ska and classic rock) and sketching. He often goes through periods of extreme art block and he gets through them by binging reality tv shows. He’s especially fond of 90 Day Fiancé and has a little notebook where he keeps track of all the relationships throughout the different seasons of the show.

One of the most difficult things he has to adjust to in his relationship with Sasori is that Sasori is very quiet and doesn’t often openly express himself or his feelings. He’s not the most physically demonstrative person either, and although Deidara craves more attention from him, he knows that pushing for it would result in Sasori just shutting further into himself. One thing Dei noticed was that Sasori seemed to like touching his hair. So sometimes Deidara will go to him with a hairbrush and ask him if he minds brushing it out for him. Sasori will act like he’s being bothered, but he actually enjoys it quite a bit. Deidara will sit still and quiet for him and it’s in these close moments that Sasori is able to open up and speak freely to him about whatever he’s thinking or feeling.

A: When I search for "Danganronpa quotes" and look back at the lines that come up, I think, "This is a great line!" For Rain Code, it's any line that Shinigami-chan says that helps Yuma get back on his feet!

Q: I'm sorry it's not Danganronpa or Raincode... I love both series, and I'm really looking forward to the release of Tribe Nine. I have a question about Tribe Nine. Sonoda from the Oota Tribe could kill Haneda at any time, even though he has murderous intent towards him, so why does he keep him alive by just beating him up until he's on the verge of death? Also, why is Sonoda the only one who is a little better dressed (in a suit and tie) than the other members?

A: When it comes to Tribe Nine, to be honest, Akatsuki has a much higher weight than Too Kyo Games, so only Akatsuki can answer that question...!

A: Basically, I think they are all my favorites. I'm very particular about it, and I've made many drafts over the years. But I'm sure ramen store owners would love him [Akira].

NOTE: We're pretty sure "Dr. Robot" is the character listed as "Akira" in the credits, but we're not 100% certain. Also, Komatsuzaki is the artist behind Danganronpa and Rain Code.

A: On one hand, I want to get to know them better. If the character isn't well-defined enough to the point where I want to get to know him or her better, there's no point in letting him or her die… So, I let them die while wishing I could depict more of them.

Q: Mr Kodaka, can I please ask another question? Persona 3 RELOAD came out recently. Have you played it yet? Did you play the original Persona 3, including Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable? Have you played all of the Persona games, including the spinoffs? Are you a fan of the Persona series?

A: i have played all the persona series, from 1 to 5. I haven't played any of the spin-offs though, I'm waiting for the release of 6.

A: The artwork for Akdamadrive has not been released. Maybe not much is made in the case of the animation. Please submit a request to Studio Piero for Komatsuzaki and Cindy's designs, as well as Kansai's designs, which are awesome!

A: Resident Evil Code Veronica, FF7, and Killer 7 are fun. When I first played Persona 3, I thought that Megaten [Megami Tensei] killed it.

A: I don't watch YouTube because it takes a long time. I can see the pictures right away [on Twitter], so I just respond to the pictures and hope that people who like them will follow me.

Q: I have a question about the world of Rain Code. I heard that there are about 1000 super detectives in the world of Rain Code, but are there detectives with the same abilities and titles?

A: There are similarities, but no exact matches.

Q: Regarding Raincode's special detective abilities. In the story, it was stated that if one acquired special detective abilities during his two-year training period, one would be registered as a super detective. If one were to express an ability that could be considered a special detective ability while working as a regular detective, would one be re-registered as a super detective?

A: Abilities often depend on innate talent, but that's a possibility.

Q: Is it decided how old the characters in works such as Danganronpa and Raincode are? If so, how old are they?

A: Of course, Danganronpa is mostly in their teens. Raincode has a wide range, but even Yakou is in his 30s.

NOTE: This is kind-of hilarious, because I'm pretty sure it's canonically stated Yakou is actually in his late 20s...in something that Kodaka himself wrote. I'll have to go find evidence.

Q: Why do you have so many cats in your work?

A: Because Komatsuzaki likes cats. I like dogs.

NOTE: Komatsuzaki is Kodaka's usual artist. He's worked on Danganronpa, Rain Code, and the upcoming The Hundred Line.

Q: There have been various spinoffs for Raincode and Danganronpa, but can we assume that the interpretations and character settings discussed in these spinoffs are official?

A: I'm not sure about the official take [from Spikechun], but if you enjoy it, enjoy it, and if you don't want to accept it, don't accept it. I think it's all up to the player's freedom.

NOTE: By "spinoff," this probably means the anthology mangas, light novels, audio dramas, etc.

A: I won't make a clear statement. I am not sure what will happen in the future. Anyway, please spread the Rain Code around the world.

Q: Can I change my clothes before changing into the Final Defense Academy uniform in Hundred Line? I like the original clothes because they are so unique... Or do you wear uniforms only during battles?

A: We'll give you more details later, but they usually wear casual clothes and change into their uniforms when they fight!

Scenes or Comic Panels I Would Draw If I Could Draw BC Some Of My Chatpost Ideas I See Better As Pictures Not Words, Part Two.

-Deidara having had way too much coffee or soda and is sitting with Sasori, explaining one of his favorite tv shows or something and just info-dumping like crazy. And the other Akatsuki members pass by throughout the day and they all wonder how the hell Sasori is just calmly sitting there, giving Deidara his full attention while the blonde just rants for literal hours. Finally Dei wears himself down and falls asleep and Konan goes in to check on Sasori and she’s shocked to see it’s not Sasori at all but one of his puppet body-doubles. Dei in his caffeinated frenzy just didn’t notice.

-Shikadai, Boruto and Mitsuki using a metal detector in the Nara woods, something sets it off so they start digging. Finds Hidan (his Jashin necklace is what set the detector off). Shikadai doesn’t know what to do with a talking head but Mitsuki mentions that his Parent makes bodies in his lab all the time. So they cart Hidan off to Orochimaru. Hilarity (or horrible, horrible chaos) ensues.

-Pakkun finds the Akatsuki hideout. Is preparing to inform Konoha of its whereabouts but recognizes something strangely familiar about the scent of the tall man in the orange mask. Waits a while, spies through the window at night and Mask-Man takes off the mask and. Holy shit. It’s the guy Pakkun’s master Kakashi has been mourning all these years. Leaves, goes to the rest of the ninken. The group all together waits until Obito is alone, ambushes him, and drags him back to Kakashi. They receive many treats and many pats that night. Pakkun is ring-bearer at their wedding.

-Deidara and Itachi start sleeping together in the winter. Not having sex but literally just sharing a bed. Because Kisame is cold-blooded and doesn’t provide the sickly Itachi adequate warmth, and Sasori being a puppet doesn’t get into bed with Deidara a lot as-is because he has no need for sleep, and when he does, his body doesn’t provide warmth either. Kisame and Sasori act like they’re fine with it but secretly kiiiiiinda jealous. Eventually Hidan wants in on the situation too because he feels left out of the “sleepovers” and Kakuzu sits up half the night counting money or reading the Bingo Book anyway. But Kakuzu … is MORE than happy to get Hidan out of his hair (and off of his expensive sheets).

-Deidara pregnant, asleep, and Sasori sitting just fixated on his belly. He gently puts his hand on the belly and the baby gives a little kick. Sasori makes a game out of asking the baby yes or no questions, with a kick being a Yes. Eventually Deidara stirs half-awake and asks “Will your Daddy shut up and let me sleep?!” and then he gives Sasori a kick off the bed with his own legs, mumbles “Good, hm” and goes back to bed.

-Sasori looking up to the sky and asking God to give him something beautiful from heaven. Out of nowhere Deidara explodes up out of the ground, cursing and dirty, into Sasori’s arms. Sasori looks at Deidara, then at the ground and is like “Thank you, Devil-san.”

-Kisame having a talk with Obito, formally asking his permission to marry Itachi. Obito asking how he managed to see through the Tobi persona, Kisame telling him that any idiot could see that “Tobi” was too far-fetched a personality to be believed. The others all say something similar to having figured out that Tobi was an Uchiha, except for Deidara who nearly faints. “I slept with an Uchiha?!” and Hidan is like, “Fuck the Uchiha part; are you telling me you slept with TOBI?!”

-Nagato noticing how much time Konan spends with Kisame and starts to think that maybe she’s attracted to muscles. So he secretly tries to work out but ends up spraining a few ribs and ends up in bed. Konan asks him what he was trying to do, Nagato confesses and Konan laughs. She tells Nagato that she goes out with Kisame so much because the shark is intimidating and being with him prevents men from hitting on her. Next scene is Nagato accompanying Konan to the grocery store, with every single one of his Pein bodies in tow, forming a terrifying wall around the couple, who are holding hands.

-((I think I’ve said this in a post before but)) All of the boys in the Akatsuki wanting to take a shirtless picture together, to show off their “muscles”. They ask Konan to take the picture but she’s offended they didn’t ask her to be in it. they say sure, thinking she’ll be in her bra but nope, she takes off everything and lets the twins out while she flexes. the final picture is Konan flexing in the center, Deidara, Hidan and Itachi fainted on the floor, Tobi has a red trickle coming from his nose area under his mask, Kisame and Zetsu are both alarmingly red, Kakuzu is seen outside fighting some white-haired pervert peeking in through the hideout windows, Sasori is studying Konan’s body with an interest that’s somehow more frightening than the others’, and Nagato is rushing up with a blanket up cover her.

-Kakashi walking down the aisle to Gai in a beautiful wedding dress, being escorted by Naruto and Sasuke on each arm, with all of the ninken holding different parts of his veil-train. Sakura is at the top of the aisle holding Gai’s wheelchair, monitoring his IV bags. He’s not fully healed from his war injuries yet but he insisted on doing this as soon as he could speak again. Lee and Ten-Ten are Gai’s “best men”.

-Hidan gets accidentally blown to bits by one of Deidara’s bombs. Loses everything but his head. Kakuzu tells Sasori that since it was HIS partner who caused this, he should be the one to make Hidan a new body. Sasori agrees. But after awhile Kakuzu comes to him and tells him to delay his progress by a few weeks. Turns out taking care of just Hidan’s head is a LOT easier (and stress-free) than keeping up with Hidan as a whole body.

ANBU Structure

♦ Mr Coffee maker is the most productive agent of ANBU.

♦ The board members are Shimura Danzo, Sarutobi Hiruzen, Utatane Koharu Mitokado Homura, Uchiha Madara and Senju Tobirama. They fund the ANBU and are the cause of endless migraines. Danzo's demands for random audits may some day end with Tsunade being charged for murder.

♦ Izumo and Kotetsu are the receptionists. Izumo is incharge of filing and Kotetsu is incharge of phone calls. Which is why almost no paper gets filed and barely any calls (especially from the board members) are ever picked up.

♦ Homicide and organized crime Unit - lead by Tsunade. Itachi and Kakashi are her personal headaches/ hand-selected team members. They deal with cases no one wants to touch with a ten foot pole. 

♦ Marital Affairs Unit - members are Kurenai, Asuma and Anko. This is the unit that brings in the most money.  

♦ Insurance Fraud Unit - Genma, Raido and Gai - Gai's youthfulness is what keeps the other two sane.  

♦ Missing persons Unit: Tsume and Shibi 

♦ Cult investigation: Hidan, Sasori, Kisame - the rest of the agency tends to stay away from them.

♦ Narcotics Unit: Inoichi and Shikaku...its kind of their expertise.

♦ Forensic team: Yamato, Hayate, Yugao, Kabuto, Deidara

♦ Ibiki is in charge of interrogation. Anko assists at times. 

♦ Kakazu is the accountant - no one ever gets paid on time.

♦ Orochimaru is the Medical Examiner / resident terror of the agency. Naruto loves him.

When ever Tsunade has a mad scientist moment (she misses holding a scalpel) she tries to go to Orochimaru's lab in desperate hopes he'll let her assist him - the bastard always slaps her hand away, pushes her out of the lab and shuts the door in her face with a smug smirk as if taunting her for not finishing med school.  Naruto is the only one who has complete access to the lab. If one would dare to venture down to Orochimaru's 'dungeons' they would often find the chibi babbling the ME's ear off about what happened in school that day with said ME responding to the babbling while dissecting dead bodies. Good thing his school teachers think Naruto is just a very creative child. 

Tsunade dislikes the favoritism Orochimaru shows. She was the first blond in his life after all. She should have more privileges.

♦ Akatsuki Law - a VERY successful Law agency run by Nagato, Yahiko and Konan. They provide FORCED free services to ANBU because Tsunade insists that’s what family does and Nagato wishes he was cousins with anyone but her. 

♦ Any press conferences that require ANBU presence are dealt with either from a member of the department in question. Itachi, Tsunade and Kakashi stay in the shadows since their roles require them to keep a low profile. 

♦ Social events that require their presence are Senju And Uchiha family related and Tsuande and Itachi attend them. Itachi with a poker face and Tsuande with endless whining. 

♦ Kakashi is incharge of attending all of Naruto’s Parent/Teacher conferences. There is always a bet ongoing regarding how many dates the Hatake will have by the time he returns the next day. 

Tsunade went to one of Naru's parent teacher conferences --  It's ironically the same elementary school that Tsunade herself attended with Orochimaru and Jiraiya since Jiraiya stayed in his family home while the other two moved away.  Unfortunately, the principal remembered Tsunade. She remembered the blonde menace for that one time she had snuck toads into the classroom during recess (she was good at bullying Jiraiya and Jiraiya was good at catching toads) and had left them in the desks of all the girls that had been giving her a hard time for liking to spend all her time with boys (Jira and Oro). The screams once the students had returned and had toads leap on them had shaken the school.  Then there was the time the blonde nightmare had snuck in Orochimaru's new pet snake (without his permission or knowledge at that) and had gone around telling girls it was her new designer scarf. Suffice to say - no one was amused with her prank. Orochimaru had actually not talked to her for a week.  The principal remembered all these things -- that should have been bad enough right? But this is Tsunade we are talking about. And as her luck would have it --  While trying to act like a responsible adult...she notices the janitor and...recalls that the man is actually a suspect in one of her ongoing investigations - only they hadn't been able to find him - until now. She runs after him, tackles him, breaks furniture, swears up a storm that leaves parents, teachers and students traumatized and stumbles out of the school premises with a bleeding split lip, torn clothing, a limp and a murder suspect.  She wants to sue the school for endangering students. They want to sue her for property damage. Nagato swears he has white hair since that week. Tsuande says his hair is still blinding enough and tells him to get out of her office.  Suffice to say, Tsunade is never allowed to come back to Konoha Elementary School. .

I'm curious. What are your top 10 favorite shoujos of all time? (LN, Anime, Manga) Can you rank them from: I'll always love them and I'm very invested with them; to I like them, but I'm not very invested?

(why is it that the second someone asks me for anime recs or listing my fave series, I suddenly forget every series i ever read/watched lmao it is a curse)

Just as a reminder, these are series I either watched recently or remember at the top of my mind because of sheer popularity. Also, my bad in advance if it turns out some of these aren't shojo but shonen (reason I didn't include Skip&Loafer, for example).

With that out of the way, my top 10 fave shojos in order (that I would and have rewatched multiple times):

Revolutionary Girl Utena. A classic. It's got it all: the esthetics, the slightly surreal aspect of the world, the trope deconstruction, tackling rarely addressed issues (such as patriarchy, heteronormativity, the changes puberty brings to a teenage girl, etc.) as well as some... more sensitive ones (there's a reason there's so many trigger warning lists for RGU). Also, the music SLAPS.

SAFT (both anime and LN). Just look at my Sugar Apple Fairy Tale tag. I've liveblogged every episode of this show since I learned of its existence. I was looking forward to the previews. I fell into this head first and it was some of the best experience I had with a series! It was right up my alley: sunshine hardworking girl winning over the people around her thanks to her kindness and optimism + grumpy stoic traumatized man who becomes softer and grows thanks to her set in a semi-fantasy Europe-based world. I liked that both Anne and Shall had to deal with discrimination (Anne as a girl in a male-dominated industry, Shall as a fairy in a human-led society) and how the later LN volumes address those issues (instead of fairy slavery and sexism being just background lore). The show can be really pretty when it wants to, and the music is also very nice.

7th Time Loop (both anime and LN). Just like with SAFT, I'm obsessed. The anime is doing such a good job adapting the source material at a good pace, the quality is great, and the VAs are killing it. The LN also has very tight writing: the author has an eye for adding details that seem unassuming/offhanded at first, but end up being crucial. Rishe's and Arnold's characters and dynamic are phenomenal. Just look at my 7th time loop tag

Akatsuki no Yona (the anime/early corresponding manga arcs).

My Love Story with Yamada-kun at LVL 999.

Ouran High School Host Club (the anime). I'm a sucker for romance, but where OHSHC got me is with its humor. The first episode is a classic, and I will always love the light bulbs scene as each member of the host club figures out Haruhi is a girl. Tamaki is a riot, the perfect blend of goofy, perceptive, and introspective. He deals with some serious issues, but he never lets them drag him down or, at the very least, affect his precious ones. What's great about OHSHC too is the character growth in the second half of the show. The series lures you in thinking it's just a comedic slice of life high school romance only to hit you with some real feels when it reveals its characters' backstories, fears, and reflections.
