General Homo flags

Hey, so I decided to make flags for the term ‘homo’ as a whole ^_^!!

I noticed that the terms ‘Homo’ and ‘homosexual’ are used by some people interchangeably with other labels and I personally have never seen an overall term or flag for it.

In this instance, this term can be used as a generalized term for people who experience same-gender attraction or feel as though their attraction to a gender or genders is completely queer. Know that this label is 100% inclusive of m-spec people and contradictory labels.

Some examples are:

A woman’s attraction to other women

A man’s attraction to other men

A nonbinary persons attraction to other nonbinary people

A lesboys attraction to women

A woman who feels her attraction to men is queer in some way

Ect.

Obviously, if you don’t feel comfortable with this label or flag you don’t have to use this.

Meaning: someone who experiences mainly aromantic attraction but also can experience attraction to males/ male presenting people for a time, this attraction can last for quite a while or can be as fleeting as a few seconds, also you can identify with this while not wanting a romantic relationship with a male/ male presenting person, also these feelings can be fluid for example you might feel a lot of attraction for males/ male presenting people one day and then nothing at all for ages or even disgust at thinking you might like males/ male presenting people, it really depends, it's a spectrum :]

I created the flag using the aromantic flag, aromantic spectrum flag and gay flag colours and I created this because I couldn't find a romantic orientation that perfectly describes what I feel, hopefully this can be useful for someone else too ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

How About Those Humans?

Humans, also known as human beings or people (Homo sapiens) are a species of primate found around the world. Originally from eastern Africa, the species has spread to every continent due to their remarkable adaptability to a wide variety of climates and habitats.

The primary advantage for humans comes from their complex social groups. These groups are created, and reinforced, primarily through the use of spoken and written word. Humans are the only animal known to use symbols in communication. In every part of their range, H. sapiens will form communities with other individuals- these communities are often but not always based on familial kinship; bonds can also be formed based on age, proximity, and membership to other social organizations like religion or sports. Humans have also been known to form mutualistic relationships with other such as dogs, cats, ungulates, birds, and some snakes and lizards.

People are known as one of the few species to use tools, and they do so in a highly complex manor. By use of tools, humans have been able to modify their surroundings via agriculture, architecture, and clothing; this has allowed them to expand their range well beyond the limits that their thermal tolerance and high water needs would allow. In addition, people have used their ability to manipulate tools to enhance their social relationships through the creation of ritual, music, art, craft, and sport, as well as enhancing the scale and violence of inter-group conflicts.

The appearance of humans can vary widely depending on their genetics, distribution, nutritional status, and socio-cultural group. Unlike other primates, H. sapiens are primarily bipedal, walking on their hind legs and leaving their hands free for manipulating tools. The body hair of humans is quite fine, and the skin underneath can range widely from black to white, largely as an adaptation to UV radiation. However, the hair on the top of the head can be fairly thick, and likewise varies in color and texture; it is common in many social groups to arrange and decorate the hair for aesthetic value or social status. Males and females are fairly similar in physique; males average 171 cm (5 ft 7 in) in height and 77 kg (170 lb) in weight, while females average (5 ft 3 in) and 59 kg (130 lb) respectively. Females also have more pronounced mammary glands than males.

People are omnivorous, capable of consuming many different plants and animals collected by a combination of agriculture and hunting and gathering. Depending on their region, the diet of humans may consist of different combinations of ruminants, pig, horse, dog poultry, fish, insects, milk, eggs, leafy greens, roots, fruits, berries, nuts, honey, and tree bark. Humans have no natural predators, although there are some large carnivores such as polar bears and tigers that may opportunistically hunt them.

Like other primates, humans are capable of breeding through out the year. People may form monogamous or polyandrous pairings based on socio-cultural group and individual selection. Pairings are most often heterosexual, but homosexuality is not uncommon and there is a great variety in both gender and sexual orientation, the display of which is dictated by an individual's socio-cultural group. In many cultures, courtship is initiated by the male; he may attempt to woo the female through gifts and elaborate mating displays of dance and sport. The input of immediate kin and important members of a social group can also have strong influence over the process. Selection of a suitable mate usually takes time, and a pair may court for several years before rejection. Following mating, the female carries her pregnancy for 9 months before giving birth, usually to one baby but in rare cases as many as nine.

Infants are completely dependent on external care; this is usually provided by one or both of the parents, and often extends to the entire familial or social group. Babies are typically weaned around their first birthday, at which time their diet transitions completely to solid foods. From an early age, young are incorporated into the social group via ritual, play, and teaching of skills which may come from elders in the social group or designated individuals. Though biologically H. sapiens may reach maturity as young as 13, young are typically not considered adults in their social group until the age of 18. Lifespan may vary widely based on genetic and nutritional factors, but humans are frequently known to live to be over 100.

Conservation status: Due to their wide range and large population, humans are considered stable. They have not been evaluated by the IUCN.

i'm really sorry if this question is inappropriate and too long, please delete if necessary. i am a 17-year-old cis girl who grew up in a sexually conservative culture/religion but stumbled into extremely taboo nsfw fanfiction (and later nsfw fanart once or twice) really young (probably about 12) without even registering that what i was doing was masterbation/looking at porn. i no longer think those things are objectively bad or sinful as i was taught when i was younger, and i consider myself probably more sex-positive than a lot of my peers irl, but i feel a lot of shame about specific things that i've read and i still consider immoral although obviously none of the content i consumed involved real people doing sexual acts, and i started experiencing a lot of taboo and guilt-inducing intrusive thoughts two years ago.

if it's possible would you be able to give some advice about how to move forward? i've avoided pornographic material for more than a year but i don't actually know if that's healthy or helpful. the shame around previous porn use and the intrusive thoughts have also led me to become very afraid to disclose my sexual orientation (i realised i was a lesbian last year) because i'm worried i'll be bad representation and that if people realise what my past experiences were it would reinforce their homophobic beliefs about homosexuality being perverse.

okay, so, first thing I need to say, right out of the gate: it's not possible for you to be "bad representation." you're not representation. you're a real human person who, like every other human, will make mistakes and have regrets and sometimes do things that you're not very proud of. the burden of ending bigotry is not on queer people; don't have to be upstanding paragons of morality in the hopes that people will stop being meaners to us. if someone is homophobic, that's not something that you can change personally by being the most perfect lesbian in the world. they're still going to be homophobic unless they personally decide not to be, a choice that you can't force anyone to make. please, p l e a s e do not put that kind of pressure on yourself.

also: you actually don't have to disclose your sexual orientation to anyone whose reaction you're worried about. if someone is a homophobe, they don't need to know that you're homo! I know a lot of importance is placed on the idea of being out in every aspect of your life, but that is fucking DANGEROUS for a lot of people - especially young people who are dependent on families that won't support them. being out to your family is never, never, NEVER more important than you being safe; don't get it twisted.

re: avoiding porn, it's none of my business if you want to look at or read or listen to porn. I do know in many cases that learning how to just look at a thing as it is, without judging yourself for doing so, is the most effective way to stop feeling so scared and worried about it. I have no idea how much you pay attention to my blog, but I've had numerous people telling me that watching me joke so much about an incestuous relationship about two brothers in a bad Marvel movie has helped reduce the anxiety they feel about fictional incest. if you feel able to do so, it might be really good for you to experience enjoying some porn and masturbating about it without anything bad happening.

it doesn't even have to be watching porn; any kind of content centered around sex in a positive manner can really help to make it feel more natural and less scary. I always recommend the channel Sexplanations on YouTube, which is quite frank about bodies and pleasure while also being lighthearted and education, and I think you in particular might really benefit from the podcast Sexvangelicals, which is hosted by two sex therapists who do a lot of work specifically targeted at helping individuals who come from high control religious groups unlearn shame about sex.

Danny learned about four Ghost Kings in total.

The first one had no name and no solid body. Stories refer to them as a being of darkness - the Infinite, the Dark, and Genesis are all common names for them. The Infinite Realms were a part of them, and they created a lot of how it works fundamentally. They are the reason ghosts form lairs, that similar ghosts tend to form near each other, and probably created the homes and habitats that most Neverborn tribes and animal ghosts settled in. They didn’t make any rules. They just set some order in the chaos. Then one day they disappeared.

Several centuries later, Death (Anubis, Yama, Nergal) stepped up, forged the Ring of Truth and the Crown of Order, and made himself king. No challenger could overthrow him. Death introduced structure to the Infinite Realms; he created the hierarchy the Infinite Realms uses to this day and the method by which leadership is chosen. He gathered lairs into territories, territories into cultures, cultures into worlds, and worlds under him. Despite the loose system it still requires maintenance, settling territory disputes and abuses of authority, so he did that for a few thousand years, adding to the system as time went on: he created portals between cities, connected libraries (and other spiritually similar places, like universities and hospitals) to each other, created the first version of orientation. But eventually the maintenance was too much for him to keep up with, and he picked a successor, a long-time advisor, and had him forge a crown and ring of his own.

With the Ring of Execution and the Crown of Stone, Hades experimented with stricter systems, trying to make the Infinite Realms more peaceful. He implemented a crime tracking system, then prison dimensions. After a thousand years, he got rid of prison dimensions and implemented exile instead; he did the same with universal laws. He went personally to handle any outrageous cruelties and abuses brought to his attention, and backed up weaker guardian spirits when they struggled to throw off invaders and lawbreakers.

Then came the rise of Pariah Dark. He and Hades faced off three times before Pariah Dark won, but each match was a close call, and Hades was unable to finish him off. (He already saw where this was going, and his fear was apparent to those that knew him.) Pariah Dark’s exact origins are unclear, but he’s most likely the Neverborn spirit of tyranny, containing the spirits of many tyrants that have ruled over the years, the combined deaths of many. Pariah essentially tried to break down everything his predecessors built up, wanting absolute rule. He used his army to enforce that, breaking up rebellions, then gatherings. He burned information, tore apart coordination systems, destroyed ghosts that tried to cooperate anyway, and ended the afterlives of many guardian spirits who enforced rules of their own. A record number of ghosts died during his rule, from violence and from deprivation, but especially guardian spirits. It became the thing he was known for.

Then, of course, came Danny.

The Infinite - Predates homo sapiens, disappeared 40,000 years ago, shortly after Neanderthals died out. (Existed before Clockwork’s time.)

Death - Took up the crown around 20,000 years ago, and passed it on 5,000 years ago. Clockwork and Death formed at around the same time (well before Death took the crown.)

Hades - Was overthrown 2,500 years ago.

Pariah Dark - Was imprisoned 2,000 years ago.

My personal take on if the villainous team leaders are homophobic:

Giovanni: yes, but also he doesn't care much. He'll break your kneecaps for totally unrelated reasons.

Archie and Maxie: kinda yes, but just because they're extremely deeply closeted. EDIT: Important addendum that ORAS Archie and only his ORAS incarnation is proudly gay and not homophobic.

Cyrus: yes, because I just know he's on 4chan. Has extremely esoteric opinions on whether being attracted to femboys is gay.

Ghetsis: absolutely.

Lysandre: no, but he has "no fats no uglies" and a hard age limit on his grindr profile.

Guzma: absolutely not, but nobody is entirely sure about his orientation, least of all Guzma himself. Is obnoxiously supportive, but also will say no homo after fully making out.

Lusamine: yes but will be extremely passive aggressive about it.

Rose: yes but will give a speech at the Macro Cosmos corporate pride event.

Cassiopeia: Heterophobic. You have to be some flavor of LGBT to be allowed into team star.
