Love Letters w/ Fyodor Dostoevsky
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ “I would've read your love letters every single night, and prayed to God you'd be comin' home alright”
• His love letters are romantic and very detailed, making sure he conveys exactly how much he misses you. He likes to write you short poems, understanding how much your heart swoons at the sweet and romantic words.
• Fyodor writes to you while he's in Yokohama, telling you how his plans are going and his estimated time of arrival at home. He continues this habit, even when in Mersault. He sends letters to you via the manipulated vampire guards, instructing them to take great care of the thin envelopes.
Scenario !! ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
Your heart beats quickly as you made your way to your mailbox to check for a letter from your lover; already prepared for the slight sadness you'd experience should the small compartment be void of a note, yet still excited for the possibility of receiving one.
You excitedly open the door to the mailbox, grabbing the numerous envelopes that filled it. Sifting through them, you start to loose hope before your eyes land on the slightly sloppy handwriting of your boyfriend. You drop the various other things on the table, including bills and junk mail in order to pry open the letter excitedly. You make sure to do it carefully though as not to rip anything.
Once you've successfully separated the paper from the envelope, you lay down on the couch on your front while giggling excitedly. You unfold the paper and start to read the comforting and familiar handwriting, feeling as though this letter was a warm and sweet hug from the Russian man.
“My dearest, Y/N,
I know I restate the same thoughts in every letter I send to you, but I truly miss you more than anything in the outside world, including my freedom. I am perfectly fine in captivity, but it truly makes my heart ache to be without my love for so long. I hope you are doing well and holding up without me, not because I doubt your individuality, but I know just how much you miss me. It is the same way for me in this prison. Even with Dazais company, my heart doesn't feel nearly as full as it does when you are around, my dear. However, when our plan succeeds, we will get the happily ever after we deserve. As for our plans, they are going as intended currently.
I cannot wait to embrace you again and to feel the reassuring sensation of your breathing against my skin and feel your arms wrapped around me so tightly and lovingly. Though I would have went about my plans regardless of your support or not, I still appreciate you staying and supporting this, although I can only imagine it has caused you much stress. No worries though, my dear, we will prevail in the end no matter the obstacles. In the meantime, here is an excerpt from a poem I memorized many years ago, I feel it may catch your interest and reassure you a bit.
Wait for me, and I’ll be back,
Disregard the fate,
In the morning with my bag,
Should you only wait.
They will hardly understand,
How I could survive.
Waiting me from foreign land,
You have saved my life.
Let them say that it’s too late.
What you feeling tells?
I’ll be back, because you wait
Like nobody else.
Again, I miss you dearly. Just in case I needed to rephrase it, my heart will not rest until you are back in my presence, for I feel our souls are intertwined. I cannot wait to reunite with with you, my love. I will see you soon.
Sincerely, Fyodor Dostoevsky”
Your heart couldn't help but flutter as you held the letter to your chest, having rolled over onto your back. Your face is warm with blush as you smile and laugh. It was beyond you how Fyodor could remember all of the information he knew, as well as numerous languages and poetry, but you certainly weren't complaining. After all, your boyfriends sweet sayings made your day every time without fail. With every letter he sent, you only became more impatient for his return.
Eloping w/ Chuuya Nakahara
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ “And run away and left it all behind, you still would've been mine, we would've been timeless”
• Eloping with Chuuyas is such a fulfilling act, especially when you don't have people whispering in your ear about how dangerous it could be.
Scenario !! ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
Romantic relationships with port mafia executives as an outsider or regular civilian were frowned upon in the organization, meaning if you and Chuuya were going to be together, you needed to be sneaky about it. The port mafia had connections all over the city, which really limited your options for dates, but you were both content with just lounging in each other's homes.
You loved leaning against his chest on his couch, a movie playing softly in the background as you both cuddled together. You liked cooking with him in your kitchen, making a mess together while giggling and then having to clean it up together. Every time you would just sit in his arms in your back yard, watching the wind blow the flowers and leaves around, was a memory with Chuuya that you were grateful for.
So, when your lover proposed the idea of elopement to you, you were over the moon. You had always wanted to marry him, youve know that he was your soulmate from the get go. Even in a billion lifetimes, you felt as though you would find each other repeatedly. You said yes, ofcourse, and started planning immediately.
It had gone exactly according to plan, too. The both of you wore rather nice clothing for the actual ceremony, exchanging pretty rings and slipping them on to one anothers fingers. The kiss you shared, the first one of your elopement, was like no other. It felt sweeter with emotion and certainly tasted that way, too, because of Chuuyas cherry chapstick. You held each other's hands tightly as you quickly walked out of the courthouse, getting into the car that had been packed with as many necessary belongings as possible, including but not limited to clothing, legal documents, and money.
Sure, the luxury of a port mafia salary was one that would probably be missed by the both of you, allowing a nicer place to stay and finer wines to drink, but you could live with Chuuya in a rundown shack for all he cared. As long as he was with you, he would be perfectly happy. Chuuya is a romantic at heart under his tougher exterior, only letting bits and pieces of that romanticism slip through the cracks.
Chuuya drove with you down long and winding roads, the both of you deciding to end the day by stargazing while sitting on the trunk of the car. You sat on Chuuyas lap, his face pressed against your back. He drew soft shapes on any part of skin within his reach, even tracing out letters and words, spelling terms of endearment such as "my love".
"You know, I don't doubt one bit that mafia affiliates could be lurkin' around here, but it's much less likely. Something like this would be frowned upon real hard back home, which is why I feel I will never regret this decision." He says, speaking straight from his heart, not caring about vulnerability anymore. He had you, and you would be the very last person to take advantage of such a delicate thing.
A grin tugs at the corner of your lips with enough force to change your facial expression immediately. You leaned back into his touch, your hand caressing his that sat against your abdomen, hugging you closer to him. "I won't ever regret it either. I'll never regret any decision I make for you, my love." You softly murmur, looking up at the stars in the beautiful, blue night sky. The blue night sky filled with glamorous and shiny stars, yet they could never compare to the shimmery glint in Chuuyas eyes every time he came around you. The blue night sky that provided a calming darkness in the world, allowing you to further relax against your, now husband's, body.
"I'll always love you, darlin', I'm so happy I can openly have you now." He speaks quietly against your shoulder, almost whispering. You reach your hand back to gently touch his hair a bit. "Me too, my love. Me too."
Crowded Streets w/ Nikolai Gogol
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ “In another life, you still would've turned my head, even if we met on a crowded street in 1944”
• Should you meet Nikolai during one of his street performances and accidentally fall victim to his juggling skills (or lack there of) , he would look forward to seeing you around the town and in the streets again to make up for his fumble with an entertaining mini-show.
Scenario !! ˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
Walking through the busy streets, your eyes fell upon a tall man, dressed as a jester while standing on the sidewalk. "A street performer." You simply thought, trying to discreetly glance at him without making eye contact and avoid the make believe obligation to give him money. You noticed that he was juggling, tossing three red balls in the rotational pattern while blabbering on about random things to passersby.
You lowered your head as to not look at him or make eye contact as you started to pass him, before you're head jerks right back up at the loud man's voice saying "watch out!". Right in front of your face was one of the red, foam spheres, kept motionless between two bony, lanky fingers covered in the cloth of the mans red gloves.
"Aw, I'm real sorry, darlin'! That sure was close, wasn't it?" He says, his bright, toothy grin glimmering in the sunlight. You nod, inhaling and steadying your heart rate.
"Yeah, no worries though, it didn't actually hit me." You say, a bit embarrassed by the situation for seemingly no reason. He slinks backwards into a completely upright position. "I wouldn't have let it hit you regardless, sweet cheeks." He says as he creates a portal and tosses his props into the yellow opening. He rests his fingers on his chin while examining you. "You've got quite a lovely complexion! You must be quite popular when it comes to romantic affairs, I'm sure of it." He compliments. The other people bustling by make you topple a bit as their shoulders bump into yours. Nikolai gently grabs your hand and leads you away from the crowd into a more spacious area.
"You're quite handsome if I do say so myself. Especially that scar." You say, pointing at the healed wound. He smiles. "Well thank you, how sweet is that." He excitedly beams. He removes his hat from his head and slightly bows towards you. "I have yet to formally introduce myself, I am Nikolai Gogol." He says, adjusting his posture yet again to be standing straight up. You smile. "Hello, Nikolai. My name is Y/n." You smile with your arms crossed in front of your chest.
"Well then, Y/n, can I ask you if you enjoy quizzes?" He asks, his head tilted, gravity dragging the long braid along with his movements. You furrow your eyebrows a little. "I'm not too fond of the academic ones, if I'm being honest. Silly ones I don't mind." You say with a small shrug of your shoulders. He laughs.
"Perfect! Let me quiz you then, Y/n." He takes your hands in his excitedly. "Are you aware of the difference between a jester and a clown?" He says, his face about the length of a outstretched palms thumb to pinky tip away from yours. You think for a moment before speaking. "Clowns follow a routine, whereas jesters are more spontaneous and satirical, no?" You say, gazing into his eyes, surprising yourself with your eagerness to hear words of confirmation or denial slip from between his crimson painted lips. He pulls back and claps a bit.
"That's right! Marvelous! How smart you are." He says, removing his hat and placing it on top of your head. "Not many people get that right, you know? Many peoples first answer revolves around a jester being a part of a royal court, but that is simply not their differentiating characteristic." He says, patting your shoulder with a grin. You keep eye contact for a couple of seconds before he erupts into a fit of snickers.
"I'm around this area often during the week. You should come see me, I can promise to give you the very best show I can muster." He grins and with that, he is gone through a portal. He has left you there, a bit flustered as you held onto the hat tightly. You suppressed the excitement in your heart before sneaking out into the crowded pathways once again. Maybe you would take him up on that.

part 7. directory here.
--
A while ago, you and Atsumu had made plans to celebrate the end of finals week by taking a trip to a nearby town for the weekend. With the events from last night looming above you, that obviously isn’t happening so you pack your things and sneak out to make the earliest train to your hometown to escape potential confrontation.
There was a part of you that had hoped that Atsumu had camped outside your door the entire night to catch you and desperately apologize and beg you to stay. Shame burned at your cheeks when you scanned the entire hallway and found it empty and clear as it is any normal day.
With that, you speed off to the station before you can embarrass yourself any further.
The break at home is welcome. Not to say that you’re not still utterly heart-broken, but the reprieve from Atsumu is much needed, however short. You steel yourself for the inevitable encounter as you return to your apartment a week later, making sure to wipe any delusions of Atsumu waiting for you from your mind. Anticlimactically, you survive the short trek from your building entrance to your door in peace.
It’s much later, when you’re leaving for your first class of the semester that it finally happens. By now, you’ve had plenty of time to run all the possible scenarios and plan your respective responses. Predictably, he marches straight up to you when your eyes meet. You immediately move to avoid him but you must be equally predictable to him because he grabs hold of your wrist before you can put any more distance between you two.
“Where have you been,” he breathes.
Yep, you had thought through this scenario. This is manageable.
“Away from you,” you return evenly, trying to twist out of his grip.
He sucks in a breath at that, like you had just punched him in the gut. Not a bad idea.
“Baby-”
Pet names were scenario C of your imagination. Nothing you can’t handle.
“Don’t call me that,” you say, still trying to writhe away.
He tightens his hold and pulls you that much closer. This makes you stiffen up. You had thought of the physical contact route, but had no countermoves for his brute strength.
“Let go,” you seethe.
“Not until you let me apologize.”
“You can apologize all you want. I won’t accept anything, and nothing is going to change,” you recite your practiced lines.
Atsumu seems to be figuring out what is and isn’t working, and words aren’t, so he focuses his efforts on keeping his hands on you.
“What can I do, then?”
“Nothing,” you answer. “We were nothing anyway, so you don’t have to act like you owe me anything.”
You know you’re being cruel. But you just want to hurt him, make him feel what you felt.
It works because he clenches his teeth, jaw tightening.
“You know that’s not true.”
“Who cares if it isn’t? You clearly didn’t.”
He groans in frustration. “Why can’t you just- and why are you so-”
He’s talking in a frenzy, a mix of unfinished thoughts and voice raising in volume.
You’ve practiced a line that would end all this uncertainty. You’re late to class, you rationalize. This has to end so you can move on, you convince yourself.
Deep breath in.
“Miya,” you cut him off authoritatively. “There’s one thing you can do.”
His eyes widen; he thinks you’re throwing him a bone.
“Fuck off and stay away from me. I don’t want anything to do with you and nothing would make me happier than if I never saw you again.”
Shaky deep breath out. It’s fine, you’re fine, it doesn’t hurt. You’re imagining it. Your vision is blurring a little but you keep repeating it. It’s fine. You’re fine. It doesn’t hurt.
His grip on you releases, his hand dropping down at his side limply. It’s all going perfectly according to the scenarios you had run in your head. The tears in your eyes were not planned, but you’re fine. It’s fine. It doesn’t hurt.
The damage is done and you think you’re free to go, so you turn to make your way to class and leave him behind.
That’s when you’re yanked backwards, one arm winding all the way around your waist and another palm sliding under your chin. And suddenly, his lips are on yours.

TWST HEADCANNON
WARNING: Death, suicide, limbo, afterlife.. this might as well be a summary more than a warning.
Has anyone ever thought that Yuu might be.. well, dead? The idea of an afterlife is generally an idea of a transition to another dimension or world. Given that Yuu doesn't seem to remember anything (another semblance to the held belief that when you die you no longer remember/worry/care about your past life) and doesn't seem to have much interest in going back? I mean, wouldn't you be fighting to go back? That is, unless, unconsciously, Yuu knows there is nothing for them to go back to.
Also, given that we're talking about a game geared towards a teen and young adult audience, with a teen character, a school-type setting may be where they're most comfortable. And who doesn't dream of a fantasy world anyway? Perhaps Yuu was even a massive disney fan when alive... The subtle flirts from characters like Malleus and Rook could also be a nod to Yuu's 'favorite' characters, however that has less basis because it would take a lot more away from Yuu being a player-imagined character.
We could even take it a step further and consider Twisted Wonderland to be a limbo. Going off track for a second here, we know that Yana has so many details and hidden clues everywhere in BB. Also given that a lot of the characters look like her BB characters as well, is it possible we have a parallel world to the BB world on our hands? (Unlikely, since it's probably just her art style, but it's worth a mention.) But I digress. Going back to the details portion, we know Yana has a very similar vein of dark fantasy going for both series, and seeing how much lore she places around the idea of death in BB, is it possible she's doing the same thing in twst without us realizing? Perhaps, much like the Grim Reapers of BB are forced to work for their afterlife, maybe Yuu was also a suicide, or some sort of tragedy that would stick them in limbo, in a place they could be comfortable in.
Of course, there are many scenarios to get to this limbo state, as well. We could be encountering science fiction experiments, the matrix like scenes, etc. Basically anything world bending. Even the old Time Loop theory of twst could still fit into Yuu's untimely death. But I don't know. What do you think? Do you think Yuu is alive?
Edit: just realized-- what if ALL the characters are dead? I mean, a black carriage coming to pick them all up on a PERFECTLY accessible island is confusing in itself. However, this would mean that Yuu is still an anomaly, because they don't remember anything compared to the others. But they could have fake memories too. Like, remember when Rook was boasting that he survived in the jungle for a month and was close to death when he was rescued, very timely? What if he... didn't? What if the moment he was 'in his mother's arms' and rescued, was really the moment he crossed over? Or maybe they've all died at some point, and crossed into a fully alternate reality afterwards? And that's twisted wonderland?
Edit 2: Kalim is another example, often talking of how he was attempted to be poisoned and kidnapped numerous times. Perhaps the last one he 'survived' was really the one he didn't.

The ORV side stories have always felt more grim, more doomed to me than ORV.
From the start of ORV, Kim Dokja's whole character of being a conman, the trickster who always ends up escaping inherently makes you feel hopeful. The next time he gets himself into some trouble, he might die sure but he'll always come back because the story has to continue and he's not the type to die like that. It happens over and over again - trouble arises, the odds are stacked against him yet he always comes out on top, always comes back.
It's purposefully written that way, the readers need to be hopeful so they can imagine that he does come back against all odds. The open ending can barely be considered one because the entire story is telling you that he will come back. Even if it's never said, you can perfectly imagine the image of papers flying around a Kim Dokja who came back, that same grin on his face and the light shining on his starry eyes as his companions surround him.
It's natural to question why the Side story was written when this ending was so perfect already and although I enjoyed learning that there was more content, I can't say that I also wasn't perplexed at first but now I think I understand.
Not every reader is the same, there are those who can only imagine the worst, that the odds will end up overcoming the characters one day.
And the side story has this element of odds overcoming the characters. The readers Lee Hakhyun fails to save, the doomed nature of the 41st worldline, the ORV cast still on their mostly fruitless search, the extras in a story much too large trying to prove their right to exist too - this world is far from the perfect worldline of 1865 and the mostly loss-less conclusion of 1864. In many ways, the worst case scenario tends to happen. It feels almost hopeless - and I think that this is also purposeful.
If this hopeless, doomed world can survive despite it all then can't you begin to imagine a happy ending? If somehow, the story continues to love you despite it all, then can't you love yourself too?

something I've been thinking about recently do you think the pop trolls are okay with the idea of killing animals in the movies?
or do you think they only eat stuff like cakes and other foods that don't involve killing animals?
basically do you think given the pop Trolls somewhat Hippie like attitudes that they'd also sorta be Vegans? at least in the movie cannon I think in the Tv shows we see Poppy kill some fish to serve on pizza to the Bergens at Bridget's Birthday party lol.
but yeah I can't recall us seeing them kill any animals in the movies or eating any meat unless I'm forgetting a scene? Branch kinda killed those spiders when he saved Poppy by Hair whipping them into that Giant creatures mouth.
but that's the only time I can think of and lets be honest given his survivalist nature I can easily imagine Branch being cool with Hunting animals for food During his Bunker years or killing them simply for survival like if they attacked him first.
but with other Pop Trolls? I'm not too sure like I could imagine them as seeing all life as sacred and maybe having a more sympathetic attitude to animals.
given their own species used to be killed for Food and was likely seen by the Bergens as lesser life forms and maybe even seen as just Dumb unfeeling animals.
so yeah IDK what do you think?
also like imagine if this is the case and we did see a little scenario in the future where Branch and Poppy were lost out in the woods and they needed food desperately.
so Branch gets out a weapon and is prepared to go Hunt and kill an animal only for Poppy to be Horrified by the idea and by the fact that given his casual attitude about it he's clearly Hunted animals before.
and Poppy is a little mad at Branch maybe giving him a comedic cold shoulder while Branch eye Rolls because he's always been of the mindset Hunting is perfectly natural.
given he's lived out in the woods for most of his life lol.

Currently having so many ideas and thanks to them all whirring about in my brain, I can't decide what to actually sit down and write first, so I'm gonna write a little description of each (apologies because I absolutely suck at summaries) and then leave it up to a poll because why not 🤷‍♀️
IDEA #1
Mattheo Riddle x F!Reader / Tom Riddle x F!Reader. Set a little while after the war when the world seems to be returning back to normal. But peace doesn't last and the Riddle brothers have been keeping secrets from you about rumours that are swirling to do with Voldemort's followers not entirely being gone. It all comes to light in the worst possible way when the three of you are attacked and Mattheo sacrifices himself to save you and his brother. As months go by and you remain drowning in your grief whilst Tom grows utterly possessed by grief and revenge, the only solace you find is with each other which eventually leads to something neither of you could have ever expected and complicates everything when your investigations into the rogue ex death eaters lead you to a shocking discovery. Mattheo is still alive.
IDEA #2
Mattheo Riddle x F!Reader. When you are asked by the order to spy on Mattheo and he is told to spy on you by his father, the two of you forced to put aside your hatred for each other in order to fulfill your tasks. But just how close are the two of you willing to get to the other in order to be successful and will the fragile feelings that begin to bloom, despite convincing yourselves its still all fake, be able to survive when the lies you've built them on come to light?
IDEA #3
Theodore Nott x Lestrange!Reader. Rivals since you were kids, you and Theo have never been capable of doing anything except butt heads. But times are changing and the world is growing dark, on the very precipice of a war that neither of you want to be part of but you've been signed up to since you were born. When the pressure to become the perfect soldiers your parents expect you to be will you both break and lose yourselves or will you find salvation and the will to fight back in the very person who had always prayed to see your downfall?
IDEA #4
Lorenzo Berkshire x F!Reader. This one is mainly vibes atm but best friends to lovers with a shit ton of pining, drunken kisses that they insist mean nothing (lies), a first love confession that goes horrifically wrong and some angst and miscommunication before they get the second confession perfectly right.
IDEA #5
Tom Riddle x F!Reader. Smut smut smut. I basically got inspired by the song sucker for pain and imagined a scenario where you and Tom are in a relationship where you deliberately piss each other off and make each other jealous just so the other one will ruin them. Like imagine Tom thinking he has the upper hand in this scenario constantly because if you piss him off he gets to ruin you and if he pisses you off he still gets to ruin you because there's no way you'll be able to ruin him right? You won't be able to make beg. There's no way you won't break first and end up begging him to fuck you because no matter what you do, the man has immaculate restraint and he would never lower himself to begging anyone for anything. Even you.
Oh how wrong he is.
IDEA #6
Mattheo Riddle x F!Reader. Smut smut smut. Despite breaking up, you and Mattheo just can't seem to stay away from each other.
Inspired by maroon 5's animals
IDEA #7
Mattheo Riddle x F!Reader. Smut smut smut. Best friend Mattheo being jealous as fuck of the guys you keep wasting your time with and being determined to prove to you that he knows you better and could treat you way better than any of them ever could.

@starsinthenigth YES! YOU GET IT! Also Rise Raph using his projection body as a shield for his brothers??? And just the image of the giant fist punching Leo during the Warren/hypno fight and the train car scene during the movie, just great!
I like to think that it took a bit of for him to get used to using that power because he didn't really know his own strength or how it really worked but after getting comfortable with it knows PERFECTLY how to mess with his brothers and also keep them safe without accidentally hurting them (too bad lol) in the process
And like the first couple times he DID activate his powers was from jumping in to save his family (origami tsunami and bug busters) so yeah super over protective
Like COME ON LOOK AT THIS
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This dude is a fucking mech and I love it
Tumblr media
Also alligator snapping turtles never stop growing while box turtles, sliders and soft shells tend to stop at adulthood
So like using a new calculation method called "eyeballing it" I have concluded that future Raph has got to be like 9-10 feet tall (mostly comparing past Leo's height to future Leo with Casey and then comparing future Leo to future Raph )
Tumblr media
Point being, imagine how much he would've grown if he survived til the events of the movie. Bro wouldn't even NEED the projections at that point.
God, super intimidating looking but sweet giants are my favorite and we NEEDED to see more of that projection interact with the rest outside of fighting scenarios
Also side tracking to say that Mikey is also super "tiny who doesn't realize/care that they're tiny" coded. If he was like a borrower or something I have no doubts he would still be just as strong/razzmatazz heavy as he is now. Just casually throwing himself off buildings cause he knows either his family will catch him or he'll catch himself. And everyone in the family is just used to it.
Donnie even made an invention that stops him from razzmatazzing and Mikey just used it to be even MORE chaotic
When I'm in a g/t coded show with a near nonexistent g/t fandom competition and my opponent is tmnt
Also bonus: Donnie in the technodrome

About the RookVil drawing from yesterday, a comic from ko-fi and some other stuff.
Anonymous asked:
Hey sorry if you've answered this before but what drawing program do you use? I've been trying to find if you've been asked that before but the search feature is not the greatest.
No worries, Anon! It’s been a while since I answered that anyway.
I draw in Photoshop CS6 that Katsu helped me to pirate years and years ago. I also have ClipStudio, but I haven’t used it properly yet.
Anonymous asked:
In regards to your latest kofi picture, what accident is this and was Azul the cause of it? Also, is going to punish Idia for this? When Ortho is better, couldn’t he just blast Azul’s and the Tweel’s asses to kingdom come? Sorry for so many questions 😓
To be completely honest, Anon, the story isn’t very concrete and specific. There are some possible elements of what happened in my head, but until/if we come up with a proper scenario, I would like to keep it vague!
Here is what I can say for certain: after being separated from Idia for quite a long time, Azul is going to kind of take care of him, as in “it’s okay, you’ve suffered enough” kind of way; but Idia is smart enough to know that this is just Azul trying to make Idia rely on him again, so he could shut the cage door and trap him once and for all. Azul is also very good at victimblaming, manipulating and gaslighting + has will-power that Idia doesn’t always have, so even if Idia knows that Azul’s kindness isn’t genuine (Azul never forgets those who betray him), he is powerless to change anything at this point. He just wants him and Ortho to be safe, and Ortho wants it too. So even though Ortho technically could blast Azul and the Tweels’ asses, Azul is perfectly aware of this risk, so he uses a different approach on Ortho. After all, Ortho is a smart boy + he and Azul have the same goal: they want Idia to be happy, right? It’s easier to do it while working together instead of fighting!
Anyways, Azul scary and powerful, and at this point in the story he has a lot of useful connections including STYX and probably even Idia’s parents. A lot more strings to manipulate the events in a way that would portray him as a forgiving and loving saint, but still ensure that Idia never leaves him again.
And after this position is secured, then he might start punishing Idia. But in a way that is very subtle to everyone around them, but painfully obvious for Idia.
Anonymous asked:
Man, feral Rook really does just hit different doesn't he? That latest art was just so juicy and savory that it made my mouth water. Just wanna chew on it for a bit like a nice steak.
Thank you so much, Anon! Please feel free to enjoy on it, and enjoy your meal <3
Feral Rook is a delight to draw, I like how unapologetic and animalistic he could be drawn despite being a human.
Anonymous asked:
And this must be part three of their first time together.
I told you I can’t stop imagining their first time lol
eh-nonnie-mouse asked:
How quickly do you think Vil became House warden after getting caught by roommates for the (insert number of times previously) time? Rook on the other hand...he looks like he just wants everyone to see Vils beauty. Or maybe this kind of beauty is only saved for him?
Vil is a man of patience: as far as I know, he only became a housewarden during his 3rd year. I have no idea how he managed to survive for two years (including their honeymoon phase!) with roommates… maybe the previous housewarden was kind enough to make these two roommates during their second year??
I’m sure Rook doesn’t mind people looking, but at the same time, he really might express how the beauty that only he gets to see is special… but it would be so greedy of him to not let other people see Vil like this!
Rook is actually quite good at being stealthy, but I guess he doesn’t always want to be…
Anonymous asked:
Ohhh.... but imagine if the ones that walked in on Rook and Vil were Floyd and Epel.
What sort of drama would that be?
Or maybe they'd just see it as an excuse to do whatever they want at that point.
Well… since it’s Rook and Vil’s first year, Floyd and Epel aren’t currently there, but if they were to walk on them now (when RookVil are third years), Vil would probably be rather annoyed or even angry than embarrassed. He’ll just scold and punish both of them lol And then he might ask them about why they were even there, in his dorm, breaking into his room.
Rook wouldn’t care either way, he’d probably heard their steps way before they actually walked in on them...
In terms of the younger ones’ reaction though, I feel like whatever they’re going to see, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise for Floyd – it’s like not even a secret. It would be funny if Epel got surprised though, imagine living by their side for a year and having no idea this is happening?
Anonymous asked:
Do you have a yuu?
Nope! Not really interested in that.
Anonymous asked:
Just want to say that Code Geass was the first and only anime yo make me cry. Lelouch’s death killed me more than it did him.
Very understandable, Anon. Code Geass is really very, very good and has a lot of heart-wrenching moments.

For the ship chart maybe you could do Victoria/Prudence or maybe Arthur/ Sally? Honestly love the level of analysis you put into these asks
Send me a ship for the ship bingo chart: Arthur Hastings / Sally Boyle ( We Happy Few )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Arthur and Sally you say? >:) Oh do I have Thoughts™ about Arthur and Sally (anon I’d like to give you a kiss on the mouth for sending them in)
I’ve talked about Arthur and Sally before and this will come as no surprise to folks who were around last year when I was still in the throws of my first We Happy Few kick: I don’t ship Arthur and Sally and I think it’s good that they parted ways. I’ll talk about the one exception context in which I do ship them later, but for now let me elaborate on why in most scenarios Sally and Arthur absolutely do NOT work together.
There’s a lot of appeal in the childhood friends, reunited and falling in love, trope at a first glance with Arthur and Sally, but in many ways their past and their respective unwillingness to let go of it is their downfall. Their arc plays perfectly into the narrative themes of We Happy Few. Their perceptions of each other are based on how they thought of each other as teenagers, not who they are as adults - or even who they really were as teenagers.
Let’s look first at Sally.
when we're together we're unstoppable. arthur and sally. sir galahad and the lady of the lake. the two musketeers  (Sally Note: Arthur!) i wanted to much to say, help, i've got a bloody baby. but he was so awful all i could get out was sorry sorry i'm sorry, and i want to help you and who even knows if he heard any of it. (Sally Note: Arthur!)
She is desperate for his approval because she respects his opinion, which makes it hurt so much more when he fails to give it. She imagines he’s right, whatever he says about her, because of course he is. She continues to bat her eyes and ask him for things because she knows he can’t say no, but she also continues to take shit from him because she really believes he has the best intentions. She thinks of him as kind and reliable, someone she can trust no matter what, and she does genuinely take advantage of that at times. Moreover, she struggles to accept that he has nuance beyond that and that he honestly had a nasty side that doesn’t line up with her image of him
When Verloc, or Byng, or any other man belittles her she blames patriarchy. When Arthur belittles her, she blames herself. She sees Arthur as smart, kind, and willing to help her with all her needs at the drop of a hat. But is he? Is he really?
Is Arthur kind? No. Maybe he had more kindness in him as a teen, but Arthur is self-serving and avoids taking blame by painting himself as a victim of circumstance. He always has. Will Arthur help her no matter what? In the end, no. Because helping her came in conflict with point A about his own self-preservation.
Speaking of Arthur, let’s take a look at how he thinks of Sally.
She was being all lovely and slipped-the-surly-bonds-of-Earth Sally, only even more so, and then she said she was mates with Sir Robert B, or more than mates I suppose, and from then on all I could think about was that horrible night. (Arthur Note: And Then There Was Sally) The thing is, I don't trust her. She was always so wonderful when she was there, but a girl like Sally always has so many better places to be, and better people to be with, or worse people that she prefers anyway for some reason. And sometimes she'd just hide in Percy's old room in the attic and not come down. Who knows what's going on with her now? (Arthur Note: And Then There Was Sally) I should have said, "How have you been all these years, Sally? You ran off into the night with nothing, and now you're some sort of brilliant chemist. How did you survive? I wish I could have helped you. It would be nice to be friends again." Instead of all those dreadful things. (Arthur Line during The Faraday Cage) What if she is utterly sincere? What if she honestly does want me, and love me,  and need me? Do I have utterly no faith left in anyone? And she'd survive and I'd get killed. A girl like her shipwrecks, and the next day she's drinking margaritas under palm leaves. Yours truly is shark bait. (Arthur Note: I Am An Awful Person, But)
Arthur views Sally as being confident, flirtatious, always in control. While there is some truth to the notion that she uses men for her own gain, Arthur doesn’t ever take the time to examine why or understand the nuance of her choices. Instead he slut shames her for it. He gets upset at her for her “relationship” with Gen. Byng despite them having not spoken in fourteen years and despite the two of them having never had a relationship. As if he expected her to stay celibate for years just because he had a crush (he’d never say that, but it’s how he acts towards her) Arthur has always liked Sally, but Sally only finally decides she likes him when he can do something for her. Of course, Arthur being Arthur with his inability to accept blame without a caveat that shifts it elsewhere, doesn’t truly acknowledge that he is doing the exact same thing. He only seeks Sally out for help with the Letter of Transit. Everything comes back around to that.
Then there’s the elephant in the room: What happened with Sally and Mr. Hastings
Arthur, in some capacity, blames Sally for what happened, even if he intellectually understands it wasn’t her fault. Sally, similarly, understands to a degree that it wasn’t her fault, but she still blames herself for it.
what was i supposed to tell his dad, "no, you're practically my stepfather"? that would have gone over brillo. (Sally Note: Arthur!)
It doesn’t matter that her being sixteen made it legal. The fact is that Sally was young, barely of legal age, and staying with the Hastings after her entire family died. She had nowhere else to go. Mr. Hastings might not have been physically forceful, but it was coercion and he was absolutely 100% at fault. Sally has internal conflict about the whole incident and it makes sense. If she blames herself then it means she was in control, and Sally feels most secure when she’s in control.
Arthur has his own internal conflict about it. On some level he understands it wasn’t her fault (“I don't hate you, in the strangest way you're completely innocent.”) but he still yells at her about it when they reunite. He still lets it color his perception of her. His mum had died and he found his best friend (who he had a crush on) in his mum’s old bed with his dad. That had to have done a number on his psyche.
I always used to wonder, if I'd run out the door after her, that day, what would have happened to us. Would we still be friends? Or was the magic all in my head? Who am I kidding? 16-year-old-me would never have had the courage to leave home!   (Arthur Note: I Am An Awful Person, But)
We don’t know whether this is something Arthur actually used to wonder, or if he’s just saying that now, but regardless there is an acknowledgement that at sixteen, he chose to stay with his dad. He didn’t run after Sally. And thanks to Joy, he never took the time to actually process what happened. Not until the events of the game. So he yells at her, he asks her why, despite knowing (to a degree) that she isn’t the person he should be asking that. But his dad is dead, and Sally’s here in front of him apologizing. So isn’t it easier to blame her?
But what if…?
There’s this longing between them for their friendship to be renewed, but without accepting that they’ve both grown and changed as people (perhaps for the worse) and without acknowledging the past, there’s no hope for a future between them. Those barriers have to be broken down first. Sally was willing to try. Arthur wasn’t. Arthur believes that she chose her own convenience over leaving with him. Sally believes that Arthur left despite knowing she had a baby.
Did Arthur hear her and just choose not to remember? Or did he really not hear her? We don’t know.
Each character is an unreliable narrator in their act. Though I personally think he really didn’t hear her, I can’t imagine it changing anything. We know from Arthur’s act that he thought of Sally as surely having been less of a ‘loose woman’ in the past decade  (the “I haven't had sex with anyone in ten years! And if I did, it wouldn't be with that man.” line about Byng that we only get in Act I). He was faced with the reality of Sally and Verloc’s relationship in Haworth Labs via old notes, but it’s much harder to ignore a baby. A tangible result of her having had sex with someone. Arthur has an image he wants so desperate for Sally to fit, and she keeps contradicting it, but he just keeps hoping and trying. I could very easily see him responding to this news with a snarky comment about how she should ask her baby’s father for help or her good friend the General, if they’re not one in the same. (Gwen is very much Verloc’s baby is but Arthur doesn’t know that).
Despite how much they care about each other, and despite how much they may mutually wonder how things could have gone differently, even if they had an opportunity to sit down and have a proper conversation later, it would take a lot of time to be in a place where they could rebuild their friendship, and a romantic relationship would be toxic as hell if they weren’t intentional about making it healthy. Arthur doesn’t trust Sally as far as he can throw her and Sally isn’t exactly trustworthy. They’re both incredibly self-serving and both of them are incapable of acknowledging fault in any meaningful way. Arthur is awful to Sally and Sally takes it to heart, resulting in a horrid amount of negative self-talk about things she shouldn’t be blaming herself for, while she continues to ignore the problems she does have.
Arthur’s distrust, Sally’s fear of being trapped by a man, the mutual fear of the other person walking away, etc. etc. As much as I like the idea of them being in a healthy relationship down the line, it’s highly unlikely under most circumstances because they’re a wreck. It’s good that Arthur and Sally parted ways in We Happy Few. They both needed to let go of the past, and letting go of each other was a crucial step in that process.
The one exception in which I do ship them:
If it’s not clear yet, I’m in no way an Arthur apologist or a Sally apologist. I think they’re both messed up people who have a lot of growing to do, but I do have one context in which I ship them.
First of all, they would need a lot of time, a lot of personal growth, and a lot of intentional rebuilding of trust. They would have to learn to let go of their assumptions about each other and accept each other as they truly are.
However, if they were able to take those steps, I could see them getting together a few years down the road once they’ve sorted themselves out as individuals and set new, healthier foundations for their relationship platonically. There may be room for a touch of romance after a decade or so.
Under the conditions that they’ve reached this healthier place in their lives, I think they would actually work well together. Arthur is the epitome of a male-wife and Sally is a working woman. He’s always admired her brilliance and finds it admirable how well she’s done for herself. He would support her in her career and she would support him in his, whatever that might be.
I think they balance each other out really well, too. Arthur is so caught up in what’s right and wrong. He sees people as either “good” or “bad” in most cases, where Sally sees everyone as being in that grey space between. This can cause conflict, but it can also cause growth if they take the time to listen to each other. Arthur needs someone to help him question that worldview.
Sally sees people as tools for the most part. Most people (not all, but most) are means to an end in her eyes, and I think Arthur could help her challenge that in herself and try to be a better person simply for the sake of human decency.
They have a shared love of literature and fashion, and admire each other in so many ways. Arthur admires her determination, intellect, and cleverness. Sally admires his wit, kindness, and ingenuity. While in the game they hold these things up as impossible ideals that don’t leave room for flaw, these opinions aren’t entire unfounded, and I think given time, trust, and honesty they could really help each other to be better versions of themselves.
Also Arthur helping take care of Gwen is just soft.
They wouldn't have an explosive romance. It would instead be the slowest of slow burns with a lot of hiccups along the way. It would begin with reconciliation and would take years of rebuilding trust and friendship. I could see them growing closer again over the years until one day they realize that Arthur comes over for dinner every night. He sleeps over on the couch more often than not. He’s practically living here already, so why not just move in? So the spare bedroom becomes Arthur’s room. Gwen’s a tween by now and is at that age where she’s meddling in other people’s love lives and thinks she knows what’s best for everyone. She’s thrilled at the idea of Uncle Arthur moving in. By her reckoning he and her mum are already a couple. It’s a while before Arthur and Sally acknowledge that that’s what they’ve become.
They’ve been walking side-by-side through life for years now and one day realize they’ve been holding hands along the way.
For the art, I decided to draw them about 30 years down the line in the 90s ♥
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk :)  I’ll make a separate (shorter certainly) post for Prudence and Victoria. (edit: here it is!)

Please tell me what sort of Saw trap each house warden in Twisted Wonderland would design if they were the mastermind in a Saw movie.
Hello friend! Well, this is a fun ask! I am actually very excited to get into this, ahahaha. You have no idea how eager I got when I read this ask. I literally went "AHA" and started grinning. I'm going to write each scenario out as if the Housewarden is a Jigsaw Apprentice, and I might even take it a little further and describe what kind of apprentice they would be.
I'm putting a cut, both for length and because these will get a bit graphic. Please see the tags for trigger/content warnings.
Riddle - Riddle is the Rule Boy, By the Book, Stick to the Pattern. The one who adamantly protests every time to the other Saw masterminds "It's not a trap, it's a TEST".
Because of this, Riddle's tests are not overly imaginative, but they get the job done. I think, due to the nature of his signature spell, Riddle would lean toward decapitation being the end result in his traps. It's easy, effective, and doesn't prolong suffering. I like to think he's not one to wish others to suffer. Indeed, if he was a Jigsaw Apprentice, he'd be the one to parrot John Kramer the most about learning to love and cherish the life you have and atoning for past mistakes.
The rules for Riddle's test would be simple. "Find the key to unlock your chains in a certain amount of time, or a saw will cut your head off". Of course, the tricky part is getting the key. No one escapes a Saw trap without some kind of mark, be it visible or invisible. The placement of the key I will leave up to the imagination, as it will have to be specific to the individual in the trap or it will mean nothing. (Keep in mind, canon placements have been: at the other end of the room needing a mad dash that puts co-victims in danger to get to it, in the stomach of a heavily sedated companion in the trap, surgically implanted inside the victim's own eye...etc.). If the victim survives, they are off the hook. Riddle wouldn't dare mess up that part of the game. If they die, he follows John's example and dutifully cuts a puzzle piece out of their flesh, the symbol of that person's "missing piece" that prevented them from winning the game(this is also how Jigsaw got his name).
Leona - Leona can do the job, he understands the assignment. He thinks John's a bit nuts, though. He's another one where there's not a whole lot of imagination involved; he designs the trap to get the job done, makes sure it meets the requirements (because he will not be given a bad grade on Jigsaw Traps, something apparently possible to achieve and normal to worry about?...), but it won't be overly complex, and he makes Ruggie and Jack do the muscle-work for him. Don't worry, he pays them well.
Leona's traps will probably involve some test of strength (keeping in mind the different physical capabilities of individuals, of course). I'm thinking something like a low tunnel filled with various-sized shards of broken glass the person has to crawl through to get to the exit, or climbing through a vent connected to an oven that is on max. heat to get out. Something like that, of course tweaked for the individual.
He makes Ruggie cut the puzzle piece. Ruggie doesn't mess around when it comes to his finances. He cuts every piece perfectly.
Azul - Let's be real, Azul doesn't mind suffering...as long as it's not his own. His traps are always complex, and he sees each new victim as a chance to one-up himself. And it's no problem getting his victims; Jade and Floyd help with that.
I think most of Azul's traps will involve the victim inflicting pain on themselves on purpose. Not just doing things that result in pain (such as crawl over glass) but actively cause themselves harm; probably ripping their own molars out or cutting off a limb, or something, and dropping it in a bin/chute to trigger the exit to open.
Jade and Floyd help with set-up...but Floyd is Not allowed to cut the puzzle pieces afterward. For obvious reasons.
Kalim - In order for Kalim to be an apprentice, he would need to have something awful and drastic happen to someone close to him that pushes him over the edge. When it comes to it, he sees the traps as a job, a duty. It's not something he enjoys and he always observes with a tired distaste but, because of whatever trauma pushed him into this life, he believes it's necessary.
He can't stand the sight of blood and brutality. Nor does he want to know they're dying a slow death. His victim is hooked up to a syringe pump, hands restrained, and they need to figure out the code to turn off the pump before time runs out (probably voice password or something; definitely based on important memories related to the reason they are in the trap, which is hinted at in the tape) or the syringe will rapidly infuse a lethal dose of potassium into their veins and they will go into cardiac arrest.
Jamil has to cut the puzzle piece because Kalim cannot stomach it.
Vil - Vil, like Kalim, needs to be of the mind that what he's doing is necessary, even if he doesn't like it. He has to believe that people need him to teach them in this way, or he won't be able to stomach it.
He also doesn't want a bloodbath; that's not his style. Vil would rather use poison. Poison for his victims, already injected/ingested, with an antidote they have to get...probably behind a locked door needing a combination password. But, in order to get the code, they will have to face what they've done and figure out what the code is, very similar to Kalim's style. However, unlike Kalim's, if the victim gives the wrong code the door will seal shut forever and the victim will be doomed. They need to get it right and they need to be certain.
Vil may request Rook's assistance with making sure people are brought in and the trap set up properly, but he cuts the puzzle piece himself. He believes it's his role, and he refuses to put that onto anyone else. It disgusts him, but he treats it like his cross to bear for the acts he is committing, because a part of him still feels uneasy about all of this and he hates looking at himself in the mirror some days.
Idia - Idia is so removed from the front lines of the traps, he's actually quite desensitized to the violence. He treats it a bit like his video games and he does try out a variety of different traps, each one extremely individualized. He's got all the info on his victims; every single trace of them online, their social security number, their bank statements, anything and everything that can be accessed via computer is his. He knows them inside and out. Every trap is an attempt to be more unique and "entertaining" than the last. It's questionable if he's even in it for the "righteousness" that John preaches, or if he got bored and decided this was an interesting way to pass the time.
All his traps are set up to run completely independently, and all are under video surveillance. I think Idia would get to the point that there's not enough moving parts for him if there's only one victim in the trap, so he starts doing bigger traps, with groups of people, where it's a challenge to try and predict how they all will react, how they would push each other's boundaries and if they would try to see the hints laid out for them or if they would misinterpret it (for anyone who's seen Jigsaw, think about the gun scene with the keys at the end. That kind of a hint. Idia would like to see who gets it). So, yeah, Idia probably builds a maze-trap with multiple little traps within it that the victims have to go through to get out.
While he hasn't yet created something that can cut the puzzle piece and deliver it to him, he has developed a little punch that he can bring to punch out the piece of the victim's flesh should they fail. It's the only time he's on-site after the trap has been set. (Ortho refused to do that part because the dead bodies made him sad.)
Malleus - Malleus believes he is helping people, and he's curious to see how far a person would go to save their own life. He thinks it's his job to bring out the worst and the best in the person in his trap to help them be better than they are now. He's not beyond pushing buttons and upping antes; he sees it as doing what he can to help someone value their life and overcome their own shortcomings.
A trap from Malleus is probably going to involve some form of self-mutilation, giving enough flesh or giving enough blood, but also some emotional pressure. He will bring their families into the traps; likely remotely so as not to harm the innocent, but to use as leverage to make someone push themselves more. He wants them to succeed. But he will not go easy on them. In order to succeed, they need to pull on their own inner strength.
He cuts the puzzle piece himself, but he's always sad when he has to. He feels less that the person has failed and more that he has failed to help them bring out their better self.
Thank you again for the ask, friend! I hope I answered to your satisfaction :D If you have any questions or comments to add, please let me know, I am always happy to expand on these kinds of things!

Ok so like.
What if botw link also had gotten sent back to the hwaoc timeline?
There’s so much shit that changed wild link vs his counterpart, he got amnesia, got blasted to death by a guardian and got some cool souvenir scars, he is a centenarian teenager (possibly came back a little bit Wrong™ depending on if you like the shrine-made-link-a-little-uncanny hc)
There are so many differences that make so many interesting different angles to think about.
(At first, though, they probably wouldn’t jump to the conclusion that he came from the new champions time. They would probably wonder about what timeline he was from and what happened.)
(Maybe it gets resolved when the new champions greet him with familiarity.)
And then they would probably have so many questions.
How are still alive?!?!!
Why aren’t you old?
And If totk link, god forbid,
“what the FUCK happened to your arm?”
“Why is it green?”
(I imagine revali saying that last dialogue chunk. Anyways I got bit carried away, what are your thoughts?)
ohohohhoo yeah ive had many a THOUGHT over this scenario and even fucked shit up even more if you add post totk link in there but the sages are still only post botw
like imagining sidon or riju going like "hey dude. what are you doing here??" and link going "WHAT AM I DOING HERE? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE????????"
the not-yet-sages-shhhh-dont-tell-them get to be entirely normal while link loses his goddamn mind over timeline implications because is there just 2 master swords in that timeline now??? WHAT ABOUT ZELDA. (hes trying to lauch himself into the sky going let me in. LET ME INNNNNNN to try to reach the light dragon. its. certainly going.)
i think regardless, a post botw link meeting the champs again is 1) ueueueueueUEUEUEUE 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 and 2) "why am i so chatty? how did i survive 100 years? uhhhhhhhhhh great question! next question!"
i do imagine that while unnerved, revali does warm up to post botwlink a lot more because unlike mr silent knight (ilysm king they fucked up a perfectly good hero and gave him intense anxiety) over here he actually responds even if his responses are strange and off putting
there is simply so much to unpack here

3 or 11 + hellcheer, please? 🥺🤲
helloooo!! okay, so this was a delight! i did 3 for now but probably gonna circle back to 11 once i've done the other ones still in my inbox bc gd but they're soft.
send me a things you said prompt
3. things you said too quietly
Chrissy has never been good at making herself be heard. Looked at, yes, admired for her narrow stature and her pretty face (or criticized for her stature not being narrow enough and her face showing any sign of life that wasn’t a fragile, porcelain smile.)
Even now, leaving expectations behind, she still isn’t a loud person. She knows. The evidence is all over.
Eddie is occupying the kitchen when she emerges from her study session. The timer went off and she's done for the day. There's times when she'll force herself to go over but the better days are when she can call it quits when she planned to.
On her fuzzy socks, she's quiet and Eddie is absorbed in D&D prep. So she pauses in the doorway to sneak a look at him.
He's sat in the way that'll make his leg fall asleep and biting his nails. There’s ink stains all over his fingers. And she just says it quietly into the air, “I think I might love you.”
Her heart sinks the first second after it’s out there. Certain and fragile. Wobbling.
Eddie doesn’t react.
“Mh?” he says, looking up from his maps and his notes. His eyes are glazed over. He's in a different world, somewhere where dark wizards reign but are always eventually toppled.
It's perfectly innocent and a complete disaster. If she thought about this happening, imagined it, she would want to disappear off the face of the earth. A nightmare scenario and shameful and so unsuited to all those perfect love stories she was meant to fit into like a cut-out and… And Chrissy finds, she doesn’t mind.
She hates the thought of being perfect when that’s what she was raised to be. She hates the way guilt caves in on her every time she takes up more space than what people want to assign her. She hates it with an aching, syrupy kind of anger that sits deep in her chest and can’t ever see the light of day in its entirety.
And it’s Eddie.
He doesn’t like perfect, either. He likes her clumsy and full of mistakes. Not so bad when you see it in others, too, he told her once.
She's over being scared that he won’t look at her the same way if she puts a foot wrong. She'd survive it even if he did.
Chrissy's never been good at making herself heard and she might never be. But maybe that’s okay.
They have time.
She smiles. “Nothing. Do you want some coffee?”
A brief flash of recognition in his eyes, “Coffee!” which means yes.
As she passes Eddie, she cards a hand through his hair and he leans into it with a sigh, automatic and without intention. She knows him and he knows her and when she needs him to hear her, she'll make him. There’s time.

hello everyone it is time for Shipping Opinions. this is rambly and about locktie and why i'm not into it. disclaimer: if you locktie that is fine! i do not judge you as a person! if you don't want to read negativity about your otp that is also perfectly fine, please have a good day.
alright, let's begin. so a lot of why locktie doesn't work for me is that i can honestly only see it as going very very badly for the both of them in the long term. and don't get me wrong, i'm a Toxic Relationship Enjoyer. it's just that with these two in particular, especially tieria, it hits some really specific squick points for me, and i'll elaborate on that later. this is how i would interpret locktie in a scenario where neil survives fallen angels: i can see things getting co-dependent on tieria's part easily, especially taking Literally Everything Else into account. but most critically, neil never dies, so he never has to move past neil. and neil... i just can't see him able to genuinely reciprocate romantic feelings for anyone. frankly, i don't think he's interested in romance, and i also don't think he's in a mental state at any point in s1 where he'd even believe he has anything to offer to anyone romantically. in our 'neil survives' scenario, he still failed. allelujah and setsuna are missing, ali is still alive, celestial being is in shambles, the world has not changed... the man would be a wreck. if he somehow ended up in a relationship with tieria, i can only see it as some kind of one-sided placation on neil's part. maybe he'd feel like "appeasing" tieria in this way is some of the only value he can provide to anyone anymore? imagine tieria confesses his feelings. neil is reeling from everything, he sees how vulnerable tieria is... better to just go along with it, right? though that feels like a stretch of characterization, itself. if tieria did have a romantic confession to neil prior to operation fallen angels, i think neil would have let him down gently precisely because of tieria's vulnerable mental state. for all neil knows, tieria's confusing guilt and gratefulness for love. even if neil did reciprocate, wouldn't he be concerned about taking advantage of tieria's guilt? ultimately, i see a relationship between the two as something that would be miserable for neil and detrimental to tieria's growth. there is a scenario where i'd be somewhat? more open to it, and that's S2-and-onward tieria/neil, and it's because tieria isn't vulnerable anymore. he doesn't need to rely on neil anymore. he's grown and come into his own and he can be the one that neil leans on instead. i mentioned squicks earlier. in locktie, tieria's often so soft and delicate and sad and vulnerable and feminine -- because apparently femininity and vulnerability simply must go together -- and neil is big and strong and comforting and manly! neil is going to Fix him! the gendered roles rub me the wrong way. i just do not like tieria being put in the "girl" role. some of this is personal gender baggage, possibly, but it is what it is. there's a lot of seme/uke vibes that aren't for me, either, and it often doesn't feel like a relationship between equals. again, i am a Toxic Relationship Enjoyer, but where tieria specifically is concerned, it squicks me surprisingly hard. and the thing is, neil can't fix tieria. neil can't even fix himself. neil is cool. he's a badass. and he's dead inside. he's not a hero that goes out in a blaze of glory -- he dies unfulfilled, filled with hatred, and that's what makes him so interesting. he's as broken as every other person on ptolemy. s2 tieria wouldn't be able to fix neil, either, because you can't fix other people in the first place, but s2 tieria would at least be on even ground with him. if neil's found something to live for and come to terms with everything -- which would take a hell of a lot -- then and only then can i see a healthy relationship maybe forming. all this in mind is why it's hard for me to enjoy locktie: not really being able to see it working out in the first place + characterization trends i've observed over the years. plus, overexposure. i can't help developing opinions when it's the fandom otp.

A couple doodle pages to celebrate the Overwatch 2 launch, featuring some Junkers, some OCs, some OC x Canon content... more info below! These were all made in the last 24 hours, by the way. No idea what's gotten into me.
The first two slides are of my OW OC Spark, with me trying to figure out what her OW2 redesign should look like; also featuring Junkrat, because I have been shipping these two for the longest time and I care them lots~
Now; following that, I bring you a design for maskless Roadhog~ I have been stuck with this one for the last 5 years or so and I still quite like it. Also, as far as I am concerned, the hair stays long. Perfectly okay if you like the redesign! But I prefer the ponytail 💗
Next up! The two AU scenarios for Junkrat that me and my bestie @sinbrook have been working on; 'Prof' is basically a version of Junkrat that got to grow up in a safe environment & became a scientist instead of pursuing engineering. He is quite fond of reptiles~
'Bendi' is the Talon version of 'Prof', more or less. He has been raised by Talon executives, to become one of their own. The nickname Bendi comes from his habit to lounge dramatically in the most unlikely and uncomfortable places. He's a bendy boy. Yanno?
Last but not least! The little portrait at the bottom is of Inanga; me and Brooke have decided Roadhog needed more angst in his life, so why not give him a kid??
Inanga did not survive the Omnium explosion in the canon timeline, but I like to sometimes imagine he was saved, picked up by a family, and raised in a safe place. This is basically what he would look like if he HAD had the chance to actually grow up.

Alright, it's time to finally compile my thoughts about how the premise of Tron Identity fits, or rather, doesn't seem to fit, together with Legacy, and my thus far failed attempts to make them fit. Long post with spoilers ahead.
First of all, I would like to state that I'm not opposed to the retcon that Quorra isn't in fact the last surviving ISO. I like to compare it to Superman: Depending on which continuity you're reading, Kal-El is either the only survivor of Krypton's destruction, The Last Kryptonian, or he's one of several survivors, including Supergirl, Krypto, Zod, the whole bottle city of Kandor, etc. Both of these premises are compelling to me: There's certainly a poetic tragedy of being the absolute last survivor of a calamity that wiped out your people, but I think that many people can also relate to the concept of a small group of survivors of a catastrophe trying to preserve and perhaps re-establish their culture. Similarly, Quorra being The Last ISO is interesting, but I see plenty of story potential in her being one of several survivors, perhaps trying to find and rescue her kin trapped in the Arq Server. And from what I can recall from watching Legacy recently, I think that they technically never outright say that Quorra is the last of her kind, though it is of course very heavily implied.
EDIT: Okay, Kevin does specifically call Quorra "the last ISO". Nevermind, then.
Tumblr media
With that said, I think the main problem with the idea that Kevin Flynn created a backup server to which he migrated a bunch of ISOs can be summarized thus: Why the hell didn't he tell Sam? I guess the question could also be "why didn't he tell Quorra?", but I honestly have a difficulty seeing a scenario where Quorra isn't aware of the Arq Server in some way. I think that one of the very first things Kevin would tell Quorra when they meet after the Purge would be that he's saved other ISOs, I just can't imagine why he would keep her thinking that she's the last survivor. And even if he didn't tell her for some reason, I still think she would have suspiscions, since I imagine that most of the ISOs remaining on the Grid would notice if Kevin suddenly sneaked away some of them without telling anyone.
I have tried to figure out some explanations for why Kevin never told Sam about the Arq Server, and I have seen some possible explanations by other Tron fans, but none of them seem to hold up perfectly, for reasons I will explain below:
Tumblr media
Kevin did tell Sam, we just never saw it in the movie: Okay, I guess there could be some moment when they're talking, like on the Sailer, and Flynn says "Oh, by the way..." I would probably have to do a rewatch of Legacy, but I suppose it could be possible that Sam isn't motivated by "I have to save Quorra, she's the last of her kind" and instead by "I have to save Quorra, so she can reunite with her fellow ISOs". The big problem with this idea is that once Sam got out, I have to imagine that his top priority would be to check on the Arq Server as soon as possible. Even if Sam procrastinated for whatever reason ("I have to start building a themepark ride!"), I imagine that Quorra would be on his ass about it every waking moment, for obvious reasons. But as I understand it, the premise of Identity is that the Arq Server hasn't been visited by anyone from the outside since the end of Legacy. It's been running by itself since 1989 up to our current present day year of 2023, perhaps even longer, and that's why it's in danger of running out of power. I don't think that works if Sam is aware of it.
Tumblr media
Kevin thought the Arq Server had stopped functioning/was destroyed/was stolen: This was a scenario I saw someone else here on Tumblr suggest, and it's certainly a tantalizing idea. The idea of some as yet unknown third party carrying around a copy of the Arq Grid in their pocket is particularly fascinating, but I would assume that Kevin would tell Sam about it in that case: "When we get out, we have to find the person who stole the backup." Kevin believing that the server was destroyed or nonfunctional in some way is probably the scenario I have the least problems with, though I imagine that in that case he would at least have told Sam "I tried to make a backup, but..." I think it's especially interesting to imagine a conspiracy where someone inside the Arq Server somehow managed to "hack" it to fool Kevin into thinking it was shut down, perhaps some unscrupulous ISO who wanted to rule it for themselves?
Tumblr media
Kevin forgot: And I don't mean "Oops, it just slipped my mind", I mean that something happened to his memory that erased his knowledge of the Arq Server. I had actually started sketching out a piece of fanfiction in which Kevin at some point before Legacy is temporarily captured by Clu (though later escaping, of course), and during his capture Clu manages to access this particular memory from Kevin's identity disc, and erases it for evil reasons. I liked the idea that Clu would know about the Arq Sever and was plotting to visit it once he got out, while Kevin was no longer aware of it, only regaining the memory when he reintegrates with Clu, and being unable to tell Sam before he disappears. However, I couldn't fit this together with the timeline of when Kevin meets Quorra (as I understand it, according to Tron Evolution that happened very shortly after the betrayal and purge). For the reasons stated above, Quorra would have to be aware of the Arq Server, and if Kevin got his memory erased after meeting Quorra, I have a hard time believing that she wouldn't mention it to him at some point after he escaped from Clu.
So there you have it. I really wish I could fit together Identity and Legacy in some way, since I really do like the game and all the concepts it introduces. It's possible I have missed or misunderstood something in my thoughts described above, and I'd be more than happy if someone points it out. It's also possible that the creators of Identity will come with some explanation in the promised sequels, that this whole thing is an intentional larger mystery that will eventually be revealed.
