Texas Orange
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Heavily based on the song "Tennesse Orange" by Megan Moroney. You're in the early stages of your relationship with Glen and he takes you to a Texas football game with him.
**This was my first time writing about Glen himself and not one of his characters. I really loved the idea and the song that inspired this fic, however think I may stick to writing his characters instead of him as a person in the future. **

The Texas sun hangs low in the sky, casting a warm, golden light over the landscape as you and Glen drive through the winding roads of Austin. The truck hums steadily beneath you, the air conditioning a welcome relief from the sweltering heat outside.
You glance over at Glen, dressed in a black t-shirt with the orange Texas Longhorns symbol emblazoned on the chest, and a white Longhorns baseball cap turned backward on his head. His sunglasses shield his eyes from the bright light, and with one hand on the wheel, he holds your hand gently in the other. You glance over at him, and the corners of his mouth lift into a smile when he catches you looking at him.
"This is amazing," you say, taking in the sprawling hills and the way the cityscape rises in the distance. "I can't believe I've never been here before."
Glen chuckles, his voice low and smooth, the kind of sound that makes you feel instantly at ease. "I still can't believe that. Austin's pretty great. But, I mean, you grew up on the coast, right? Plenty of beauty there too."
You nod, your mind flashing back to memories of ocean breezes and sandy beaches, a world away from the vast, open skies of Texas. "Yeah, but it's different. I've never seen anything quite like this."
He grins, squeezing your hand gently. "You're gonna love it here. Plus, this is only the start. Wait till you see the stadium-it's a whole other world."
You laugh, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves bubble up inside you. "Speaking of the stadium, I've got to admit something. I've never actually been to a football game before. My family wasn't really into sports growing up."
Glen's eyebrows shoot up in surprise, but he quickly recovers with a teasing grin. "You've never been to a game? Well, that changes today. Texas football is like a religion around here. It's something you just have to experience.
"Hopefully I'll fit in okay," you say, half-joking. The thought of stepping into the massive stadium, surrounded by thousands of passionate fans, is both thrilling and a little daunting.
He chuckles, his voice warm with affection. "Don't worry, I'll be right there with you. We'll ease you into it. Plus, my folks are going to be so excited to meet you they're gonna forget about the game, at least for a minute."
The mention of his family makes your stomach flip. This is a big step, meeting his family, even if you've both been keeping things casual. There's a part of you that wonders if this trip is more than just a casual one for Glen.
"What are they like? Your family, I mean," you ask, trying to keep your tone light.
Glen's expression softens, a fond smile playing on his lips. "They're great. They'll love you, I promise. My mom might be a little overwhelming at first, but that's just because she cares so much. And my dad, well he's the quiet type, but once you get him talking about anything Texas-related, you won't be able to get him to stop."
You smile at the thought, feeling a bit more at ease. "They sound like a good bunch."
"They are," Glen says, his voice sincere. "And they're going to love you. How could they not?"
His words bring warmth to your chest, and you squeeze his hand in return. "I hope so."
As the two of you continue to drive further into Austin, Glen gives you a mini tour. He points out a few landmarks - his favorite taco place, the park where he used to hang out with friends, and a music venue where he once saw an incredible show. You listen, soaking in every detail, feeling a sense of connection to this place that Glen clearly loves so much.
"Here we are," Glen says as he pulls into a parking spot near the stadium. The massive structure looms ahead, a sea of burnt orange and white, alive with energy even from a distance.
You take a deep breath, a mixture of anticipation and nerves swirling inside you. "This is it, huh?"
"This is it," Glen confirms, turning to you with a smile that melts away any lingering doubts. "Ready?"
"As I'll ever be," you say, smiling back at him.
As you step out of Glen's truck, you notice that nearly everyone around you is decked out in burnt orange and white. Texas Longhorns hats, jerseys, and t-shirts, all show their pride. The sea of matching colors makes you acutely aware that you're the only one not wearing any team gear.
Glen steps around the truck to join you, noticing the way your eyes scan the crowd. He gives you a playful nudge with his elbow. "Feeling a little out of place?"
You laugh, shrugging slightly. "Just a bit. I think I missed the memo on the dress code."
Without missing a beat, Glen reaches up to the back of his head and pulls off the white Longhorns cap he's been wearing. He turns it around in his hands before stepping closer to you. "Here, you can wear this. Can't have you being the odd one out."
Before you can respond, he's already placing the cap on your head. His fingers brush against your hair as he adjusts the fit, making sure it sits just right. You tilt your head up at him, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "How do I look?"
Glen takes a step back to admire his work, a slow smile spreading across his face. "You look great in Orange. Might even say you wear it better than I do."
You roll your eyes playfully, feeling a warmth spread through you at his words. "You might be biased."
"Maybe," he says with a grin, his eyes sparkling with affection. "But I'm also right."
As you walk towards the section of the parking lot reserved for tailgating, Glen drapes an arm over your shoulders, keeping you close. "Tell you what, we'll hit up the merch stand once we're inside. Gotta get you a t-shirt to complete the look."
"You don't have to do that," you start to protest, but Glen shakes his head.
"I want to," he insists, squeezing your shoulder lightly. "Consider it part of the full Texas football experience."
You smile up at him, feeling more at ease with every step. "Alright, but only if you help me pick it out."
"Deal," Glen says, leaning down to press a quick kiss to your temple before leading you into the sea of orange and white.
The aroma of sizzling barbecue fills the air as you and Glen approach the tailgating area. Rows of trucks and RVs are lined up in the parking lot, each decked out in burnt orange. Flags bearing the Texas Longhorns logo flutter in the breeze, and the sounds of laughter, music, and clinking bottles create a festive atmosphere.
Glen leads you through the crowd with a confident stride, his hand securely holding yours. As you near a large, lively group gathered around a grill, Glen spots his family and friends.
"There they are," he says, nodding towards the group. "Ready to meet everyone?"
You take a deep breath, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. "Ready as I'll ever be."
Glen gives your hand a reassuring squeeze as you approach the group. His mom, Cyndy, is the first to spot the two of you, and her face lights up with a welcoming smile. She's a petite woman with a warm demeanor, her eyes crinkling at the corners as she waves you over.
"There you are!" Cyndy calls out, pulling Glen into a quick hug before turning her attention to you. "And you must be the one we've been hearing so much about. I'm Cyndy, it's so nice to finally meet you!"
You return her smile, instantly feeling at ease with her friendly nature. "It's great to meet you too. Glen's told me a lot about you."
"Oh, I'm sure he has," Cyndy says with a wink before pulling you into a hug. "Welcome, sweetheart."
Next, Glen's dad, Glen Sr., steps forward with a firm handshake and a nod. He's tall and broad-shouldered, with a quiet strength about him. "Good to have you here," he says simply, but the warmth in his tone is unmistakable.
Then, Glen's sisters Lauren and Leslie, each take their turn to greet you. Lauren gives you a friendly smile. "You're braver than I would be, meeting the whole crew at once like this. They can be a handful, but you'll be fine."
Leslie nudges Glen playfully. "You didn't warn her about us, did you?"
Glen laughs, shaking his head. "I figured I'd let you all speak for yourselves."
As you exchange pleasantries, more of Glen's friends and extended family members join in, introducing themselves and welcoming you with open arms. Someone hands you a cold drink, and before you know it, you're standing around a grill piled high with burgers, sausages, and all the fixings, soaking in the pre-game atmosphere.
The conversation quickly turns to stories about Glen's past. A few of his college buddies, each with a beer in hand, are eager to share some of their favorite memories.
"Remember that time Glen tried to impress a girl by riding a mechanical bull at that honky-tonk?" One of them starts, a grin spreading across his face.
"Oh, I remember!" Another chimes in. "He was so confident, strutted right up there like he was gonna show everyone how it's done. Lasted about five seconds before he got thrown off and landed flat on his back."
The group erupts in laughter, and even Glen can't help but chuckle at the memory. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up," he says shaking his head. "At least I gave it a shot."
Cyndy leans in closer to you, a glint in her eye. "That's nothing compared to the time he and his sister decided to 'borrow' my car when they were kids. Thought they'd take a little joyride around the neighborhood...until they crashed it into a mailbox."
"Oh no!" You gasp, unable to suppress a laugh.
Lauren grins, shaking her head at the memory. "We were grounded for months. Glen thought he was so slick, but he didn't realize the mailbox he hit belonged to one of Dad's friends."
"Yep," Glen Sr adds with a rare smile, "and that's how they learned not to mess with my car."
The easy banter and lighthearted stories quickly dissolve any lingering nerves you have. Glen's family and friends are down-to-earth, welcoming you into their inner circle as if you've always been a part of it. The more they share, the more you see the depth of their bond and the way they care for each other.
As you take another bite of your burger, you look over at Glen, who's been watching you with a soft smile. "You doing okay?" he asks quietly, leaning in so only you can hear.
You nod, feeling completely at ease now. "Yeah, I'm doing great. Your family's wonderful."
His smile widens as he places a hand gently on your back. "I'm glad you think so. They're a little crazy, but they're mine."
"And now I guess I'm part of them too," you say with a playful grin.
Glen's eyes light up at your words, and he leans in to press a quick, affectionate kiss to your lips. "Yeah, I guess you are."
Just then, one of Glen's friends raises his drink and shouts "Hook 'em, Horns!" The entire group responds in unison, raising their hands in the iconic "Hook 'em Horns" gesture, with pinkies and index figures extended with the thumb tucked grasping the second and third fingers.
You try to mimic the gesture, but you don't quite cooperate. Glen catches your struggle and chuckles softly. "Here, let me help," he says, gently taking your hand in his.
With his warm fingers guiding yours, Glen carefully adjusts your hand, making sure your pinky and index fingers are extended and your thumb tucks the other fingers. His touch is gentle and precise, and you can't help but feel a little flutter in your chest as he concentrates on getting it just right.
"How's that?" you ask, looking up at him with a smile.
He gives your hand a final tweak before stepping back to admire his work. "Perfect," he says, his voice soft and affectionate. "Now you're officially part of the team."
You laugh, feeling a rush of warmth at his words. "Guess I really am one of you now."
The group continues to laugh and share stories as the sun begins to dip lower in the sky, casting a warm glow over the gathering. The pre-game atmosphere, filled with the sounds of sizzling food, clinking bottles, and cheerful banter, is everything you imagined - and more. With Glen's arm draped comfortably around your shoulders and the "Hook 'em Horns" gesture nailed down, you feel a sense of belonging that surprises you in the best possible way.
As the tailgate winds down and the anticipation for the game grows, Glen wraps his arm around your waist, guiding you through the throng of excited fans heading towards the stadium. The air is filled with the sounds of chanting, music, and the collective buzz of thousands of supporters, all eager for the big game.
"Ready for the full game day experience?" Glen asks, glancing over at you with a grin.
You nod, feeling a mixture of excitement and curiosity. "Definitely. Lead the way."
As you approach the entrance, Glen veers off towards a merchandise stand just inside the gate, keeping his promise to get you your very own Texas Longhorns shirt. The stand is awash with burnt orange and white, offering everything from t-shirts to hoodies, foam fingers, and even Longhorns-themed sunglasses.
"Okay, let's find you something," Glen says, scanning the racks of shirts. He picks out a simple, yet classic burnt orange t-shirt with the Texas Longhorns logo emblazoned across the front. Holding it up to you, he grins "How about this one?"
You take the shirt from him, feeling the soft fabric between your fingers. "It's perfect," you say, already imagining yourself fitting right in with the sea of orange in the stadium.
Glen pays for the shirt and then hands it back to you. "Go ahead and try it on. Let's see how it looks."
You pull the t-shirt over your white tank top, the bright orange contrasting perfectly with your outfit. As you smooth the fabric down, Glen steps back to admire the look.
"Hold on," he says, reaching for the white Texas Longhorns baseball cap he had been wearing earlier. With a playful grin, he gently places it back on your head, adjusting the brim so it sits just right. His fingers linger for a moment, tucking a stray strand of hair behind your ear.
You look up at him, a smile playing on your lips. "How do I look?"
Glen's gaze softens as he takes you in, a warm smile spreading across his face. "You look great," he says, his voice filled with genuine affection. "I think orange might be your color."
You laugh softly, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks. "Guess I'm officially part of the team now."
"Absolutely," Glen replies, leaning in to brush a quick kiss against your forehead. "Now, let's get to our seats."
With his arm comfortably draped around your shoulders, Glen guides you through the bustling concourse and up towards the exclusive box seats he reserved for you, his family, and close friends. As you walk, you can't help but notice a few heads turning, whispers following in your wake. It's clear that Glen's presence isn't going unnoticed.
But Glen seems unfazed by the attention, focused entirely on making sure you're comfortable and enjoying yourself. "Don't worry," he says, sensing your unease as you pass by a group of fans who seem to be debating whether or not to approach. "The suite will give us a bit of privacy. It's just us and the people we want to be with."
You give him a grateful smile, relieved at the thought of a more private space. "That sounds perfect."
When you reach the suite, a staff member opens the door, revealing a spacious, comfortable area with large windows offering an unobstructed view of the field. The room is decked out with cozy seating, a fully stocked fridge, and even a table spread with game day snacks.
Glen's family is already there, mingling and settling in, and they greet you warmly as you enter. You quickly realize that this box isn't just a place to watch the game - it's a space where you can relax, enjoy the company, and soak in the experience without any interruptions.
Glen guides you to a seat near the window, right next to him. As you take in the view of the field below, and the energy of the crowd that's starting to pile into the stadium, you feel a sense of excitement bubbling up.
"So, what do you think?" Glen asks, settling in beside you, his hand casually resting on your knee.
You turn to him, your smile reflecting the excitement you feel. "It's incredible."
Glen grins, clearly pleased. "I'm glad you're here," he says giving your knee a gentle squeeze. "Now, get ready for some real Texas football."
Suddenly, the lights dim, and the giant screen at the far end of the stadium flickers to life. The Texas Longhorns logo appears, and the crowd erupts into cheers. You glance over at Glen, who is grinning ear to ear, clearly caught up in the excitement.
"Here they come," he says, nodding towards the tunnel at the edge of the field.
The sound of drums fills the air as the Texas Longhorns marching band begins playing. The brass instruments gleam under the stadium lights and the rhythm of the drums pulses through the stands, making your heart beat a little faster.
As the band starts playing the school fight song, the crowd rises to their feet, the familiar tune echoing throughout the stadium. Glen stands up, pulling you to your feet with him. The sight is breathtaking - the sea of burnt orange, the flags waving proudly, and the booming voices of thousands of fans all joining together in the song.
Glen leans in close, his voice just above a whisper in your ear. "You've got to sing along, it's tradition."
You smile nervously, not sure what the words are, but Glen's enthusiasm is contagious. As the band reaches the chorus, Glen starts singing, his voice blending with the roar of the crowd. "Texas Fight! Texas Fight! And it's goodbye to A&M..."
You start to hum along to the words, your soft voice, almost drowned out by the thousands of others. But Glen's infection energy pulls you in. His eyes spark with excitement. "Louder!" he urges, his grin widening.
You laugh, feeling the last of your hesitation melt away as you throw yourself into the chant, clapping along with the beat and shouting the words with enthusiasm. Glen's pride is evident, and he can't hide his delight at seeing you get into the spirit of the game.
As the team bursts onto the field, the stadium erupts into a thunderous roar. The players, clad in their iconic burnt orange and white uniforms, charge out of the tunnel, the sight of them stirring a fresh wave of excitement into the crowd. The band crescendos into the final notes of the fight song, and the noise level reaches a fever pitch.
Glen wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close as the team lines up on the field. "What do you think?" he asks, his voice barely audible over the noise.
You look up at him, your heart racing with the excitement of the moment. "It's amazing," you reply, your smile wide and genuine. "I can see why you love this so much."
As the players take their positions on the field, the atmosphere in the stadium becomes electric. The roar of the crowd swells, and you can feel the anticipation vibrating through the stands. You're fully immersed in the excitement, your earlier nerves replaced with growing enthusiasm as Glen points out different players and explains the significance of the game.
Just as you start to relax, the opening kickoff is moments away. You're leaning forward in your seat, eyes glued to the field when suddenly - BOOM!
The deafening sound of Smokey the Cannon firing catches you completely off guard. You jump in your seat, your heart racing as the shock of the blast reverberates through your chest.
Glen, noticing your startled reaction, can't help but chuckle. "Sorry, I should've warned you about that," he says, wrapping his arms around you in a comforting embrace. His laugh is warm and affectionate, and he pulls you close, resting his chin on your shoulder. "That's Smokey the Cannon. It fires off at every kickoff. Just part of the tradition."
You lean into his embrace, your initial fright quickly fading as you feel the steady rhythm of his heartbeat against your back. "I think I just aged a few years," you say with a laugh, trying to shake off the lingering adrenaline. "I wasn't expecting that at all."
Glen's grip tightens slightly, his way of reassuring you. "It's loud, but you'll get used to it," he says, his voice gentle and comforting in your ear. "Trust me, by the end of the game, you'll be waiting for it."
You turn your head to catch his eye, feeling a smile tug at the corners of your mouth. "I'll take your word for it," you reply, your nerves settling as you take comfort in his closeness.
The game kicks off, and the action on the field immediately draws you back in. As the players clash, the crowd erupts into cheers and groans, their energy contagious. Glen keeps you close, his arm draped over your shoulders, and you find yourself getting more and more caught up in the excitement of it all.
Throughout the game, Glen is right there, guiding you through the experience. He explains the rules as plays unfold, pointing out the strategy behind each move. "See how the quarterback is scanning the field?" he says at one point. "He's looking for an open receiver, someone who can catch the ball and make a run for it."
You nod, trying to absorb the information. "It's a lot more complicated than I thought," you admit, appreciating his patience.
Glen grins, his eyes twinkling with enthusiasm. "That's what makes it fun," he says. "Once you start to understand the strategy, it's like watching a chess match...only with a lot more action."
As the game progresses, you find yourself cheering along with the crowd, your earlier nerves completely forgotten. Glen's explanations help you feel more connected to the game, and his excitement is infectious. Each time something exciting happens on the field - a touchdown, a particularly good tackle - he turns to you with a grin, eager to share the moment.
"Did you see that?" he asks after a particularly impressive play, his eyes alight with excitement. "That's what they call a 'Hail Mary' - a long pass to try and score a touchdown when time's running out."
You nod, caught up in the moment. "I think I'm starting to get the hang of this," you say, feeling a sense of pride as you follow the flow of the game.
Glen leans in, his voice low and full of affection. "You're doing great," he says, his hand finding yours and giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'm glad you're here with me."
You smile up at him, the warmth of his words making your heart flutter. "Me too," you reply, feeling more at home in the stadium with each passing moment.
As the game continues, the two of you settle into a comfortable rhythm - Glen explaining plays, you cheering along with the crowd, and both of you enjoying the shared experience. It's a day filled with excitement, but also with moments of quiet connection, each one deepening the bond between you.
And by the time Smokey the Cannon fires off again, you barely flinch - too caught up in the thrill of the game and the warmth of Glen's presence beside you.
The final whistle blows and the stadium erupts in a sea of burnt orange and white. Texas has won, and the energy in the air is electric. Fans are cheering, hugging, and celebrating as the Longhorns players wave to the crowd before making their way off the field. You can't help but get caught up in the excitement, clapping along as the band strikes up the fight song one last time.
As the crowd begins to thin out, Glen helps you gather your things, and the two of you make your way out of the suite. The halls of the stadium are still buzzing with excitement, fans streaming toward the exits, chatting excitedly about the game. You notice a few people casting glances your way - recognition flickering in their eyes as they realize who Glen is.
You feel a flutter of nervousness in your chest as the looks become more frequent. The idea of being recognized, of suddenly being in the spotlight, is overwhelming. But before the anxiety can take hold, Glen reaches for your hand. His grip is firm, and reassuring, and he gives you a comforting smile.
"Don't worry," he murmurs, his thumb brushing over the back of your hand. "I'm right here."
His words and his touch soothe you, and you take a deep breath, focusing on the warmth of his hand in yours rather than the curious glances around you. Together, you navigate through the crowd, Glen's presence beside you acting as an anchor, keeping you steady.
As you step out into the cool evening air, the noise of the stadium fades behind you, replaced by the more distant sounds of fans celebrating in the parking lot. The crowd is thinning out, and the atmosphere feels less intense, allowing you to finally relax.
Glen leads you to his truck, and as you approach it, he glances over at you, his expression softening. "So...your first Texas game," he says as he opens the passenger door for you. "What did you think? Did it live up to the hype?"
Your smile, climbing into the truck and settling into the seat. "It really did," you reply, your tone reflecting the surprise in your voice. "I didn't think I'd get so caught up in it, but I did. The energy, the crowd, the way everyone was so passionate...it was contagious."
Glen closes the door and walks around to the driver's side, sliding into the seat beside you. He doesn't start the truck right away, instead turning slightly to face you, his gaze soft and warm.
"I'm really glad you came," he says, his voice sincere. "It means a lot to me to share this with you."
You feel your heart swell at his words, and you take a moment to let them sink in. "I'm glad I came too," you say softly, your eyes meeting his. "It's not something I ever imagined myself doing, but I'm really happy I did."
Glen reaches out and takes your hand again, his fingers intertwining with yours. "You were a great sport about everything," he says, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "Even when Smokey scared the life out of you."
You laugh, shaking your head at the memory. "I'll admit, that was a bit much," you say with a grin. "But honestly, the whole experience was incredible. I see now why it's such a big deal for you."
Glen's smile widens, and for a moment, the two of you simply sit there, hands clasped, sharing a quiet, meaningful silence. The excitement of the day is still buzzing in your veins, but there's also a deeper feeling - a sense of connection, of understanding, that goes beyond just the game.
"I'm really happy you're here with me," Glen says quietly, his voice carrying a weight of emotion. "This...it all means a lot more with you by my side."
His words hit you in a way you didn't expect, and you realize just how much this day, and this man, have come to mean to you. You squeeze his hand, feeling a warmth spread through you that has nothing to do with the game or the crowd, but everything to do with him.
"I'm happy to be here," you reply, your voice just as soft. "With you."
For a moment, the world outside the truck seems to fade away, leaving just the two of you in the stillness of the parking lot. It's a moment of quiet reflection, of mutual appreciation, and as you sit there, you realize that this experience has brought you closer to Glen in a way you hadn't anticipated.
Glen starts the engine, but before he shifts into gear, he leans over and presses a tender kiss to your lips. It's soft, sweet, and filled with unspoken emotion, a perfect ending to a day you'll never forget.
As he pulls away, you both smile at each other, the bond between you stronger than ever. As the truck rolls out of the parking lot, leaving the stadium behind, you feel a sense of contentment, knowing that this is just the beginning of something truly special.
The next morning sunlight filters through the curtains, casting a warm glow across your bedroom. You sit on the edge of your bed, phone in hand, absently twisting the brim of Glen's baseball cap between your fingers. The events of the previous day play on a loop in your mind - Glen's infectious enthusiasm, the electrifying atmosphere of the game, and the way he held your hand, guiding you through it all. A smile tugs at your lips as you remember the look in his eyes when he told you how much it meant to him to have you there.
But now, in the quiet of your room, the excitement of the game has given way to do something deeper - an unmistakable warmth in your chest, a feeling that's both exhilarating and a little terrifying. You realize that what started as casual dating has slowly grown into something more. And for the first time, you feel the need to talk to someone about it.
You take a deep breath and scroll through your contacts, landing on your mom's number. The familiar sound of the ringtone fills the room as you hold the phone to your ear, your heart beating a little faster with each passing second. Finally, you hear her voice on the other end, warm and welcoming as always.
"Hi, sweetie! How are you?" Your mom greets you, the sound of her voice instantly soothing some of your nerves.
"Hey, Mom," you reply, trying to keep your voice steady. "I'm good. Just...thinking about a lot of things."
Your mom chuckles softly. "Well, it sounds like you've got something on your mind. What's going on?"
You pause for a moment, gathering your thoughts before you begin. "I met somebody, and...he's really great, Mom. he's got these green eyes that I could just get lost in, and he's so sweet. He opens doors for me, he makes me laugh, and he...he doesn't make me cry." Your voice softens as you say the last part, a small admission of how different this feels from anything you've experienced before.
There's a brief silence on the other end, and then your mom speaks, her voice gentle. "He sounds wonderful, honey. Tell me more about him."
A smile spreads across your face as you think about Glen. "He's from Texas, not exactly where we're from, but...when I'm with him, he feels like home. He's got me doing things I never thought I'd do, like going to a football game." You laugh, still a little surprised at how much you enjoyed the experience.
Your mom laughs too, a mix of surprise and amusement in her tone. "A football game? You? Never thought I'd see the day."
"I know, right?" you reply, shaking your head at the memory. "He even gave me his hat to wear because I didn't have any Texas gear. And, Mom...I liked it. I really liked it."
There's a pause, and you can almost hear your mom's smile through the phone. "It sounds like you're really falling for this guy."
You bite your lip, the truth of her words sinking in. "I think I am," you admit, your voice barely above a whisper. "Mama...I like him a lot. I even learned the words to the Texas Fight Song."
Your mom's laughter rings through the phone, full of warmth and understanding. "It sounds like he's got you wrapped around his finger," she teases, but there's no judgment in her voice, only happiness for you.
"Maybe he does," you say, feeling a warmth spread through you at the thought. "But...it feels right, Mom. He feels right."
Your mom's voice softens, a hint of emotion creeping in. "I'm happy for you, sweetheart. Just take things one step at a time, and follow your heart."
You nod, even though she can't see you. "Thanks, Mom. I will."
As you end the call, you feel a sense of peace wash over you. Talking to your mom has helped you put things into perspective, and you realize that you're ready to see where things go with Glen, no matter where that may lead. The thought of him brings a smile to your face, and you can't help but feel a flutter of excitement at what the future might hold.

greetings, everygamer! it’s not often you see a text post from me with no asks attached to it, so what gives?
@front-facing-pokemon (this blog) is rapidly approaching its end! you may have noticed if you’re paying attention to the remaining pokémon in the pokédex, but we’ve only got like TEN DAYS before we reach the END of the pokédex and i have nothing left to post on this blog. yesterday, i queued up the FINAL pokémon in the national pokédex, and have thus RUN OUT of pokémon to queue up!
so what happens now? well, that’s up for you to decide! this is That One Post where you can drop all your suggestions as to what should happen to this blog once we reach the end of the national pokédex! i’ve already heard things such as redoing the whole pokédex but this time it’s shiny (top contender right now!), back-facing pokémon, and turning this into a poll blog, so those are already in the running! if you have any other ideas (that are pokémon-related, please—and if they stick to the theme of the blog [like shinydex], that’s even better)
once i get enough suggestions and filter through for the ones that i like or that are viable, i’ll make one final poll that will decide the fate of this blog. (personally, i think the shinydex is in the lead for me) until then, enjoy the remaining posts, and thanks for stickin' around for this bumpy ride!
and finally, because plenty of folks have asked, and i’ve kept it a secret for this long, i feel you all deserve to know!:
my main blog is @kinogassa. that’s breloom’s japanese name! subject to change, and i rarely use that blog to be QUITE honest with you. buuut, if enough of you still care, then maybe i will!
a lot of you who cared already managed to sniff it out back before i could comment on posts from sideblogs, so shoutouts to you guys! for everyone else, i hope it was worth the wait(?)
i think i’ve also gotten a few other suggestions like taking requests on specific angles or whatever but that changes the flow of the blog to being request-based as opposed to queue-based ’n i dunno how i feel about that
by the way, massive shoutouts to the pokémon models ripping project, without which this entire blog would not have been possible!
i can't think of anything else to say (for now), but i'll be more active and responsive in the coming days as we try to figure out where all of this is going. see you tomorrow for whatever comes next!

"Shut that alarm up!" You grumble, your peaceful slumber being interrupted by the annoying sound of the blondes' alarm clock blaring right through from the other side of the wall in the adjoined room - You wish that you were trusted to have your own room, far away from Malfoy and that stupid alarm of hers.
But apparently that isn't the case...
"Leeeah!" You shout aloud in annoyance, before attempting to block out the noise by shoving a pillow over your face.
Did it work? Nope.
"Oh and good mornin' to you too, Monkey," Leah teases, peering her head into your hotel room to find you curled up on the bed with the pillow shoved over your head.
"Just shut it off already!" You exclaim in protest.
The blonde chuckles and fiddles with her phone, finally turning off the blaring sound, "That better?" She jokes, moving to sit on the edge of your bed, "You're never a morning person are we, eh?"
You remove the pillow and scowl at her, "What'd you think?"
"Come on cranky," Leah pats at your leg which is covered up with the duvet, "The alarm  was set for a reason anyways, it's time to get up." She adds in a cheerful tone of voice.
"Too early for your cheeriness," You grumble, trying to keep hold of the duvet before the blonde has a chance to rip it away from you.
"You're so dramatic sometimes," Leah remarks as she attempts to rip the duvet covers away from you like the meanie that she is.
Whining in defiance, you scowl at the blonde again, "I'm not dramatic! You're the insane one for waking me up this early!" You exclaim, wanting nothing more than to go back to sleep.
Sure when you're awake you're a menace, but you actually love your sleep a lot and its' precious.
"For somebody who had a fair amount of sleep last night, you're still exceptionally grumpy, eh?" The blonde continues to tease you.
"I can't help bein' tired, I'm a teenager. It's what we do-- Wait, how'd I get back?" It finally dawns on you that your in the hotel room, however, you don't remember much of how you get here at all.
"Took you long enough to realise that one," Leah quips in, shaking her head in amusement, "You crashed out at the festival, so I ended up carrying you back here." She explains.
Your eyes widen in disbelief, "What? No you didn't!" You refuse to believe that you fell asleep on the floor of a crowded place.
"I did, you were completely out of it after the sugar crash from eating all of the churros that I told you not to eat," Leah remarks, pursing her lips, "So I had no choice but let you sleep on me until we came back here." She adds.
"They were too good to not eat them, Le!" You insist, holding your head in your hands to hide your initial embarrassment when you remember its' not just you and Leah, but also her family too.
"Yeah, well that's what you get when you eat so many of them at once,"  The blonde still continues to tease you for her own joy, "I have photos for proof if you want to see them?" She offers.
"Oh my God, no!" You're quick to deny seeing evidence of your state of sleep the previous night, "You didn't post them on Instagram, did you?" You can't help but ask, already dreading the answer.
"What do you think?" The blonde has a shit eating grin plastered on her face, "That's going straight in my Instagram photo dump."
"You wouldn't dare!" You narrow your eyes at her, although you know pretty well, she most definitely would.
Leah continues to smirk proud of herself as she shrugs her shoulders, "You know you actually looked like well, not such a menace like usual with your face buried in my neck while you snored-- Whoa, hey!" She shrieks, dodging the pillow that you just so happen to have thrown in her direction.
"Your so annoyin' sometimes," You grumble in annoyance, slowly moving to get out of bed with very little effort that you have, "So mean, Malfoy." You add quietly, barely loud enough to hear.
Leah snorts in amusement, "Really? Speak for yourself, Monkey. Speak for yourself," She states as she takes a minute to realise what you said, "Oi. What have I told you about calling me that!" She states, firmly.
"I know, I'm a menace to society, yada, yada, yada! Kim spent the whole ride back from that open training session in Melbourne lecturing me about it," You murmur, rolling your eyes, "The bus ride was so long back to the hotel!" Walking off to grab your clothes out of your suitcase, you leave the blonde standing there in disbelief at your usual antics.
Tumblr media
"Can we eat yet? I'm starvin' marvin!" You complain, being sat at one the tables in the diner that you're currently waiting on Leahs' family to join the pair of you.
You're not very patient most of the time, but you can't help that.
"Just be patient and wait a bit longer," Leah gives you one of her usual pointed looks that your more than familiar with.
You can't help but huff impatiently, "It's bad enough to drag me out of bed at the crack of dawn and now you're making me wait to eat-- Neglect. Complete neglect!" You shout loudly, catching the attention of a few people, who look at you in concern.
Leah's eyes widen in horror as she laughs slightly, "Shes' fine, shes' fine, honestly, shes' just being dramatic," She reassures them the best she can before she turns back you and swats the back of your head, "Oi, don't shout that out loud in here. What is wrong with you?" She scolds, trying to hide her overall embarrassment.
"I'm hungry," You whine, ducking down in your seat.
"We're waiting for my grandma and cousin. Can you be patient enough to wait ten minutes before making a scene?" The blonde questions, completely mortified how you'd just acted.
You groan dramatically, "You're killin' me here, Le! I'm completely wasting away!"
"So dramatic," Leah murmurs, rolling her eyes, "Honestly, even Buddy doesn't make this much of a fuss sometimes." She remarks, referring back to her 3 year old and your favourite little buddy.
You wish that she could have joined you on the trip, it would have been fun. However, shes' spent the week on holiday in Greece with Jordan.
You decide to make the most of your time by attempting to stack the salt and pepper shakers on top of each other to try and make a make-shift tower, finding other little bits to add to it.
Leah could've said something but she was just grateful enough you weren't shouting the house down and causing a scene in the cafe.
"Sorry, we're late," Leahs' cousin, Jordan, calls over to you both as two older women enter the cafe.
"Finally!" You exclaim being miss dramatic over here.
Leahs' face blushes red slightly, "Yeah, sorry about her. Someones' impatient to wait long enough to eat." She remarks, poking fun at you.
"I'm hank marvin' I can't help it!" You whine in protest, while in the process you end up knocking over your newly built tower, "Awh, shucks!" You mumble, scrunching your face up slightly.
"Ah, I see," Leahs' grandma, Berny, chuckles and moves to take a seat at the table, "Did you sleep well, love?" She wonders, turning her attention to you.
"You definitely were conked out on the floor last night," Jordan chips in.
This time it's you who faintly blushes, "Ehm, yeah. I er, I didn't realise I passed out the way that I did." You admit, awkwardly scratching the back of your neck.
"Shall we order?" Leah chimes in, sensing your shyness with her family.
It might come as a surprise to some people, but you were, at times, incredibly shy.
Especially when it comes to blondie's family.
You didn't know why, but you tried to always be respectful and not be a complete menace around them.
Of course you have known them all for a while, having moved in with Leah when you first joined the team at 16 and you'd found a way to slot yourself into her home and family, but it still didn't mean you weren't shy around them.
It's only this holiday that you've really started to come out of your shell around them, both of them having seen what happened the previous night.
"I want pancakes!" You perk up at the mention of food, "A whole stack of 'em with bacon and tons of syrup!"
"That's not healthy, Monkey," Leah grimaces at your choice of breakfast.
"So? I'm on my holiday, innit!" You flash the blonde an innocent smile, "What Thanos doesn't know, won't hurt him." You remark, shrugging your shoulders.
The blonde tuts at your choice of breakfast, "You're not having that much sugar, regardless of being on holiday or not," She quotes, using her fingers as air quotes to mock you, "You can have a few pancakes or none."
You can't help but feel annoyed about Leah putting her foot down on this one and of course you protest about it, "It's not even that much sugar. What's the big deal?" You question, huffing slightly.
"The big deal is that its' enough sugar for you to be bouncing off the walls and we don't need a repeat of last night, do we?" Leah remarks knowingly.
Awh, shucks...
"Mean Malfoy," You murmur in disagreement, slumping back into your seat and pouting at the blonde.
"I heard that," Leah states, still not much a fan of her newfound nickname.
"Good you were meant too," Sticking your tongue out at her because you can't help but be a complete menace sometimes.
Leah tuts and shakes her head, "Sometimes I forgot who the toddler is."
"I think Buddy's more well behaved, isn't she?" Leah's grandma chimes in.
"Probably right there," Jordan chuckles in agreement.
You continue to pout in your seat at the older women's comments, "That's rude."
"But true," Leah states, blunt as ever.
"I don't like being ganged up on like this, this isn't fair!" You huff in protest about it all 3 older women saying what did, "I think for this I deserve to get all the pancakes that I want!" You insist.
Leah snorts slightly and shakes her head, "Ha, nice try but the answers still no, so pick again."
"Damn it. I really thought I had it then!" You grumble, slumping your shoulders in protest, thinking that you will be able to get away with that one.
Tumblr media
"I'm free as a bird!" You exclaim, walking out of the cafe with a newfound love for american style pancakes and chocolate flavoured milkshakes that you had luck with getting Leah to cave in eventually.
"What?" Jordan asks, puzzled with your carefree spirit to run wild.
This is definitely a side in you that nobody in Leah's family ever usually sees, unless sugar is involved.
Also one of the reasons why you don't have it too much.
Leah exhales a sigh and shakes her head, "This is normal, don't worry-- Monkey, careful near the road!" She shouts aloud, yanking a hold of your arm when she catches you wandering way too close to it with the cars zooming past at the speed they did.
"Awh, I just wanted to see if I can balance on the curb like I do back home!" You insist, being caught out as you try an improvised balancing act to keep your brain distracted for a bit.
It seems to have done the trick, until blondie yanked you away from it.
"You're about to get yourself run over by that distraction," Leah clicks her tongue disapprovingly, "Come on, we're heading this way." She gestured in the direction of where the road led to a strip of shops.
You're not at all keen to follow that direction until you set your eyes on your version of heaven.
"Oh my God," Your eyes widen in amazement, her mouth dropping in shock and excitement, "I'm in heaven!" You exclaim.
A lego shop, your perfect version of heaven!
"You're what now?" Leahs' cousin questions, confused and more so concerned for your sanity.
Leahs' family look bewildered while Leah is more used to this type of conversation with you.
"Oh boy, she's seen it," Leah remarks jokingly, shaking her head.
"I'm in lego heaven!"  You repeat the sentence, "OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THAT! WOW, ITS' SO COOL! A GIGANTIC FREAKIN' LEGO COWBOY!" You shout aloud to nobody in particular, too much excitement to care about any concerned looks whatsoever.
You don't waste any time yanking your arm out of the blondes' grasp and run directly towards it, wanting to see it better up closer.
"Oh great we got a runner," Jordan jokes, watching as you run off.
Berny chuckles in amusement, "Shouldn't you go and chase after her, love?" She questions.
"Nah, she'll be fine, wait actually, yeah... I'll be back," Leah speaks aloud in realisation, quickly chasing after you before you end up causing more trouble, "Monkey, come 'ere, now!"
"Oh she's definitely got her hands full with that kid alone," Jordan remarks, laughing as her cousin runs after you.
"I agree," Berny replies.
"Monkey? C'mere!" Leah catches up to you, looking slightly annoyed but you couldn't care less when you are in lego heaven, "You need to stop wandering off so much!"
"Look, Le, look! There's a lego cowboy!" You squeal in excitement, jumping up and down on the spot, "I want one, I want one! Can I pleeeease get one?" You all but plead, wanting your own lego cowboy.
Sure you're technically an adult but you don't handle money well at all, so you had your bank card held captive by Malfoy, something about your lego habits being out of control... but who can blame you when they're so cool to build?
Leah can't help but chuckle in amusement, "I don't think you really need one of them, do you?" She wonders.
You gasp at the blonde in fake horror, "Are you serious? I need one. We haveeeee to get this, it would be so sick," You insist excitedly, "Buddy would love this as well!" Knowing that your favourite little buddy would indeed love this as much as you do, you hope Leah caves at that.
Hearing the mention of the 3 year old, Leahs' more lenient to listen to your pleading, "Fine, alright. We'll get it." She agrees.
"For real?That's awesome!" You're incredibly excited now as you all but drag the blonde inside the lego store, your eyes widening in complete awe, "Can we get this one as well?" You ask, motioning to another lego set.
"I think just one is fine for now," Leah shakes her head in disagreement.
You can't help but pout then, "But you know Buddy would love it as well, not just me!"
"Really? Using my kid as a way to get things," Leah quirks her eyebrow and continues to shake her head while you continue to give her your best puppy dog eyes, "Oh you know that doesn't work on me now... Alright fine, we'll get that one as well, but that's it!"
"Yay!" You jump for joy and pick up the second lego set, the excitement was unbearable to be able to build it.
Tumblr media
"Oh my God, this is the best day ever!" Walking along the road near to the venue of the festival, you come across a fluffy cow in the field, "Oh my God, Derek. Is that you!?"
"Off she goes again," Leahs' grandma remarks, shaking her head, "That kid sure is a whirlwind." She adds.
Leah pinches the bridge of her nose and shakes her head, "Monkey, where are you goin' now?"
"Look! I found Derek-- How'd he get here from Scotland? That's so far!" Your eyes widen in confusion, "Look, Le! It's Derek, the fluffy cow!" You point over to the field where there's a cow that is the exact replica of the one that you saw in Scotland.
"Oh... She's not serious, is she?" Jordan looks at her cousin for clarification.
"I fear she might be," Leah admits, biting her bottom lip.
Jordan can't help but laugh, "Are you sure you don't think its' wise to get her tested, for you know, obvious reasons?"
"I'm not crazy, I'm just quirky!" You shout aloud before dashing to the field to where the fluffy cow is, "Hi, Derek. Quick this is the perfect photo opportunity-- Ay Malfoy, can you take mine and Dereks' photo?"
"Malfoy," Jordan snickers in amusement.
"My names not-- Fine," Leah begrudgingly snaps the photo of you with your new favourite animal, somehow accepting her new nickname.
"It's nice to meet you bud, thanks for the photo!" You grin and pat the cows' fur gently, "Le, wouldn't it be so cool if we could get a fluffy cow as a pet?"
"NO!" Leahs' quick to disagree, "We don't have a house big enough for a fluffy cow, don't get any ideas!"
"But we could though!" You insist, trying to find a reasonable solution to have your own fluffy cow.
"No! Come on, lets' go before you get any more crazy ideas!" Leah is grabbing hold of your upper bicep and all but dragging you in the direction of where you were previously heading to the venue.
"My ideas aren't crazy, I'm just havin' a good time," You huff in protest and reluctantly follow after them to walk to the venue for the second day of the festival.
"Come on menace," Leah remarks.
You grin excitedly still in awe of seeing the cow, "I still can't believe that Derek's here! I am shook!" You exclaim.
"You know he's not... Ah, never mind," Leah shakes her head, giving up on the explanation, not sure if you'd understand it right now, "Think you can stay awake this time round?" She jokes.
"Shut up," You blush red at the mention of your antics the previous night, continuing to follow them until you saw something else that looks pretty cool in your opinion, "Wow, that looks awesome! I wanna go on it! I wanna go on it!"
The 3 older women look in the direction of what's caught your attention and all laugh in amusement.
"Think you stay on long enough without falling off it?" Jordan challenges.
You scoff in agreement, "Please, I'd be a pro!" You're more than up for the challenge, already heading in the direction of the mechanical bull.
"Don't sound too confident about that one," Leah stifles her laughter before she reaches into her pocket to take the money out and pay for the ride, "Try not to fall off, menace." She jokes.
"Yeehaw' lets' go!" You exclaim, rushing towards it and hopping on,  the bull starts up in a slow motion as it starts to fasten the pace, "Woohoo! This is great, I love this-- YO NASHVILLE!! YEEHAW MUTHA FUCKER!"
Leah's way too busy filming this to even be bothered to scold you about your use of colourful language, this is pure entertainment at its finest.
"She's' really enjoying herself on that thing isn't she," Leah's grandma comments as she beams a wide smile, happy that your able to be carefree as you want, however she is certainly surprised about the words that come out of your mouth.
Leah's cousin is cracking up in laughter, "I'm surprised she hasn't fallen off it yet. You know she's definitely going to try and get you to buy one of these things now, eh?" She jokes with the blonde.
Snorting in amusement, Leah shakes her head as she saves the video for later and pockets her phone in her pocket, "She can try all she likes, where on earth would I have room to fit one of those in the house?" She wonders.
"I'm sure she'd try and fit it in her bedroom if you let her," Jordan remarks, shrugging her shoulders as she continues to watch you have an absolute blast on the mechanical bull.
"That was... That was awesome!" You exclaim, stuttering your words as you try to get your breath back after being thrown around, "We have to get one of them!"
"Told you," Jordan states, looking at Leah knowingly.
Leah chuckles and slings her arm around your shoulder, "We are definitely not getting one of them," She states, letting you have a few minutes to catch your breath again before you continue to yap about something else.
"I don't think it would be safe or practical in a house," Leah's grandma chuckles.
"But it would be so cool, wouldn't it? You know Buddy would love that!" You insist, knowing its' the blonde weak spot to mention the little 'un.
"Oh no, you're not doing that again. There's no chance I am letting Buddy near one of these things at all any time soon," The blonde states, firmly much to your own disappointment.
"It would be so fun though, wouldn't it?" You try and give a convincing speech to get your own way, but judging from the look from the older blonde, you're having a hard time with that, "Guess I'll just have to get one when I get my own place."
Leah snickers and shakes her head, "You're definitely way off that happening any time soon at all, Monkey." She tells you.
"Really? I think it would work out pretty well," You insist, shrugging your shoulders, "It's okay to admit that you'd miss me though, I get it." You joke, knowing secretly that the blonde will definitely miss you too much when you move out, even if she doesn't openly say it.
"I wouldn't miss you," Leah remarks as you all walk into the venue of the festival, "Besides, I'm not letting you out of my sight when you think that takeout meals, sweets and energy drinks are an acceptable diet-- Oh you think I didn't know about them ones, huh?"
"I thought you were banned from energy drinks?" Jordan asks, knowing that you don't react well with them.
"She is supposed to be, but someone sneaks them when they think we don't know about it," The blonde remarks, looking at you.
"He, I'm a menace," You smirk at the both of them, "I can't survive without sugar sometimes!" You declare, you love sugary drinks and you can't get enough of them.
However, some people, i.e. responsible adults, think differently about them, so sometimes you have to get creative to get a hold of them.
Leah clicks her tongue disapprovingly, "We seriously need to talk about your caffeine addiction before it gets out of hand, Monkey."
"I think you might be past that point love," Berny chimes in, amused at the conversation.
Leah exhales a sigh and nods her head slowly in agreement, "I fear you might be right there, grandma. Our Monkey's habit of caffeine certainly is concerning." She states.
Tumblr media
"Yo, this music is my passion!" You exclaim loudly over the volume of the noise, enjoying yourself being in your element once again, "Nashville's a total vibe!" You shout, even louder if that's even possible.
"If this is her without so much sugar then I hate to see what she's like with it," Jordan remarks, leaning in close to Leah so she could hear her over the music.
"Carnage, complete and utter carnage," Leah states, wincing at the flashback of the last time you had a ridiculous amount of sugar.
This is tame for you.
"I fuckin' love being in Nashville!" You scream at the top of your lungs, standing on a chair and swinging your cowboy hat around in the air.
"Hey! Language!" The responsible adult, ie, captain of the fun police chides you, because it's' just so typical of her, "Get down before you end up breaking your leg!" She adds.
"Geesh, calm down there, Captain America!" You roll your eyes, but begrudgingly get down off the chair to save the defender having a cardiac arrest right there and then.
The blonde clicks her tongue, "You're such a menace sometimes, Monkey!" Completely caught off guard when she watches you pull a pair of glow in the dark glasses out of your back pocket, "Wha-- Where on earth did you get a pair of them from?" She questions, bewildered.
You smirk and slide the pair of glasses on, "What, you mean you don't carry a pair of these at the ready?" You gasp in shock horror.
"You really are something else sometimes, Monkey," Leah remarks, shaking her head.
"I'm impressed," Jordan chips in.
"They suit you love," Berny pipes in.
"Thank you," You grin at the older women before you turn to look at Leah, "See? I'm totally rockin' them! Wanna pair, they come with two!" You offer the spare pair to the blonde.
"Oh no, I think only you can pull off a look with a pair of them glow in the dark glasses and cowboy hat," Leah states, amused with your usual antics and doesn't miss the opportunity to snap a picture for the memories.
"I gotta take a video of this and send it to Kyra," You state, sliding your phone out of your pocket to pull up the camera app, "You know, I wish she could be here to experience this!"
"I'm glad, I don't think I could handle the pair of you together," The blonde tells you honestly.
You can't help but smirk confidently, "Only because she calls you Lord Farquaad far too much for you to handle!"
"Lord Farquaad?" Berny questions, confused.
"That's certainly creative," Jordan chimes in as she tries and fails to stifle her laughter.
Leah groans and shakes her head, "I don't know what it is with you pair and coming up with these nicknames." She mutters in disbelief.
"Oh, we made code names for everyone!" You exclaim, remembering all of the time it took you and Kyra to come up with them all, "We called Katie leprechaun cos' she's Irish, innit?"
"I'm sure she loved that," Leah deadpans, trying to figure out what went on inside your head sometimes.
"Smile, Le," Taking the perfect opportunity of Leah pulling her usual frowning face, you snap a picture and upload it to your Instagram right there and then, "I got the perfect shot, Instagram approved."
"Don't you even dare post that, Monkey!" The blonde states, firmly.
"Eh, its' too late for that," You flash her an innocent smile and pocket your phone again and start to dance to the beat of song that you recognise.
"Hey sweetheart, you're lookin' like a fine thing," A man attempts to horribly flirt with you and gets a bit closer to you, "Wanna have a dance and maybe even a kiss?" He offers.
You scrunch your face up in disgust, "Ha, no. I tell you what you can kiss though," You state as you near his face, "You can kiss my ass, cowboy!"
"Well if the offers there," The man smirks in agreement.
"Ew," You murmur, not understanding why he wasn't going away.
"Whoa, hey, no, no," Leah shakes her head in disagreement and moves to stand up, trying to square up to the man, "Back off, mate. Shes' too young for you!" She states, not having none of it.
The man holds his hands up in mock surrender, "Geez, alright, no need to be so protective," He jokes as he backs off in the other direction.
"You can't say these sorts of things, that man literally took it like that!" Leah shakes her head in disbelief, "You should know that men don't always think with their heads!"
You huff in disagreement, "I had it handled though, you didn't need to intervene. I was totally gonna wind him up about it!"
"Menace," Leah mutters to herself.
"I'm thirsty, I'm gonna go and get a drink," You declare, going to move in the direction of a bar.
"Hold on, I'm comin' with you. I don't trust you alone with what just happened," The blonde's quick to say, following after you before you can wander off once again.
"Are you sure I can't have a beer?" You try your luck with this once again, maybe hoping the blonde has changed her mind.
"That depends if you want to sit in jail for the night," Leah remarks as the two of you wait to be served by the bartender, "Hi, can I get 2 vodka cokes, 1 gin and tonic and a coke as well, please?" She asks.
"Comin' up," The bartender nods and gets to work pouring the drinks one by one.
"Oh, no ice or oranges!" You interject, holding your finger up in the bartenders direction.
Leah snickers, "Do you mean lemon or lime, instead?"
"Whatever," You murmur and shrug your shoulders.
With the drinks passed over to you both, you start walking back to Leah's family as something on the ground catches your attention all of a sudden.
"Er, what's that?" You move closer to inspect it, reaching out to try and poke it out of curiosity.
Leah's eyes widen in horror as she's quick to swat your hand away from it before you can reach it, "Ew, no. Don't touch that!" She states, firmly.
"Why?" You cock your head in confusion as you inspect it closer and the realisation suddenly hits, "Oh-- Ew, ew, that's gross! Oh my God, I almost touched that! Why... Why's it on the floor-- Why did you nearly let me touch it?" You screech in disgust, having a complete meltdown over it, earning a few odd looks.
"That's why I swatted your hand away before you did, Monkey," Leah exhales a sigh and shakes her head, "You should know better than to touch things on the floor, anyways." She adds, expecting you to have some sort of common sense.
You pout at her words, "I was curious. I didn't realise it was a condom!" You whine in disgust, trying to move away from it now, "I'm innocent, I don't know about them things!"
Leah laugh in amusement, "Well, at least you know for next time," She remarks, pulling you in the direction of where her family members are, "Here you go." She hands the drinks to them and sits back down in her seat.
"I just almost touched a freakin' condom," You murmur in horror still, feeling traumatized about the experience.
"What?" Jordan blinks in confusion.
"It was right there on the floor, like ew, why would anyone leave such a thing like that on the floor?" Your close to having a complete breakdown over this, "That is totally disgusting! Absolute filth! Wha... Why would somebody-- I just don't understand it!" You exclaim.
Berny and Jordan can't help but laugh, while Leahs' holding her head in her hands feeling somewhat embarrassed for you making a scene like you did in typical you style.
"Oh dear," Leah's grandma states, amusedly.
"Calm down, Monkey," The blonde tries to calm you down, but your not having none of it as you continue to wave your arms about in the air and still have a complete meltdown over it.
"No, no! It's not right, its' horribleeee! What if... What if I actually touched it? I could have... I could have picked up anything at all!" You screech in horror, displeased about the whole thing.
"Monkey, relax. It's fine, you didn't touch it," Leah states, trying to stifle her laughter as she has to admit watching you freak out in this way is funny, and it proves that you really are innocent with some things after all.
You huff and slump down in your chair, not liking being mocked fun off as the beat for a familiar song kicks in, "Hey this song's great-- Yo, Le, have you sung this to Lia at all?" You joke, you can't help but want to mess with the blonde.
The speculation from fans is always wild about Leah being with Lia, of course you know they're just the best of friends, but you're a little shit and you can't help but want to stir trouble even more.
"Monkey!" The blondes' glare is enough to make you crack up laughing even more, "Enough of that!" She states, annoyed.
"You know I just can't help it sometimes," You reply trying to feign your innocence, "Are you sure there's nothing more serious going on there? I'll give the fans the inside scoop-- Agh! No, get off meeee!" You can't help but screech loudly as the blonde is quick to pull you into a headlock and press her hand over your mouth to shut you up before you continue to talk.
Yep, definitely worth being a menace sometimes.

LOVE THE MERMAID AU FOR OBEY ME
Love em so much 🥹
Idk what to even ask about or say to be honest. my brain turns so empty when i get in the ask box haha 😅
If your asks and stuff are open then Uhmmmmmmmm i think maybe.... ... If you're not taking requests then don't worry about this! I love your stuff and also i get that burnout and needing a break from social media stuff is a thing!
Also i genuinely can't think right now... I kinda hoped that if i kept typing I'd come up with something, kinda like how sometimes rambles help with word flow but eh hhhhh.
I definitely like mermaid au obey me stuff.... And i like making arts and crafts... So maybe reactions to reader making lil stuff from either the island or shipwrecks for the mer brothers?
Also I definitely want you to know i love your stuff and i really liked your Rook Hunt drawing and i LOVE THE MERMAID AU and I'll be back if i come up with anything to say (can't tell you how long i spent just typing random words and rambling and then deleting them trying to get my thoughts and words to flow 😅 I'm so tired)
please, this made me cry😭 you are so sweet, i really do appreciate this. I've been through abit of a rough patch with college so this just made me feel better<3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mer-brothers with a artsy MC
Ever since MC got stranded on the island and made friends with 7 mer-folk, they found out there wasn't much to do whenever they were alone and away from the brothers. So one day, MC decided to entertain themselves by going exploring, heading deep into the forest in the middle of the island only to find some players, a messy journal, a surprisingly dry pencil, a few little things of paint mixer, a sharp poking tool, and a whole box of un-rusted wire.
MC was over the moon after finding the box of supplies, eagerly taking it back to the cove through the land entrance. The brothers were just coming back from a bountiful hunt out near the reefs, each bringing in some sort of edible sea creature behind them. Mammon was the first to notice you fiddling with a box of stuff and left his meal in his designated pool, the fins on the end of his tail hiding it from a hungry beel.
His head was tilted in confusion as you fussed over a ratty looking box, wasn't the sparkly treasure chest he brought back to the cove not good enough that you had to resort to a old wooden crate? It wasn't until caught a glimpse of you already starting to bend and twist the wire that he started to get more curious, hauling himself up onto the rock and crawling over to you.
The others only notice this when they hear mammon start to stutter out words, looking over to see you holding his wrist and hand while holding the wire carefully for measurements. It doesn't take long until they are all up on the rock near your little box to investigate what you are doing, all of them asking questions here and there while you bend and twist the wire to fix around Mammons wrist comfortable. It was this moment that opened up a lot more opportunities to keep yourself entertained when the brothers where away.
The brothers would come back and randomly find little rocks painted with home made paint you made with random crushed materials mixed with paint mixer. They would find little charms, necklaces, rings, piercings and bracelets you made on your little ledge inside the cove. As much as they would like to look at your drawings, they would have to wait for their hands to dry before touching the paper.
It was when they found out you carved a little whale out of whale bone with a sharp rock where they started to try and find more arty supplies for you whenever they go out and hunt. They love seeing your little creations, they would be even more amazed if you made them a little piece for them to keep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lucifer- He gets some cute little waist jewelry from you made from pearls, rope, and small bits of wire. He enjoys it because it helps keeps up his waist cloth like a belt, plus it makes his waist nicer. He thanked you for it and was pleasantly surprised when it kept his waist cloth up
Mammon- He was the jewelry tester so he got a lot of piercings and waist jewelry out of wire and treasures he finds. He constantly wears your little creations and even brings you little gems and treasure he finds pretty, risking it for you to make some more jewlery
Leviathan- He gets a little bracelet made of wire, shell, and little gems which complements his Ruri Chan bracelet that he found. His face turned beat red when you gave it to him, he hasn't taken it off yet
Satan- He gets some fin jewelry made from pure wire, with just one or two little green gems mammon found for you to use. The pieces fit perfectly on his sharp fins and was probably the longest you've spent on a piece for someone. He smiled softly when you were taking the measurements, he looks beautiful yet deadly
Asmodeus- He got a little necklace made from whale bone, rope, and pearls, and cute little pink gems. You carved a little flower from the whale bone and used the pink gem for the middle of it, the pearls mixed in and intertwined with the rope. Squealed when he saw it, he loved it so much and had you help him put it on
Beelezubub- You made a little tail charm for him made out of rope and shell (giving surfer dude), little pieces of wire mixed into it to make sure the shell stays on. He smiled as he now matched with belphie with the tail charm, and it doesn't get in the way of hunting so he loves it
Belphegor- You made him a necklace made out of the same material as Beels tail charm, the shells being purple instead of a orangey brown colour. He didn't realize you put the necklace on him at first until he went out hunting with beel, smiling softly as his precious new necklace caught him easy prey
Overall, they love to see your little creations and how they decorate the little cove they call home. How glad they were that Lucifer saved you that day and brought you to the island
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love getting requests like this, its just so sweet<3 This was so fun to write about, i loved the Idea of arty MC. Sorry this fell more into wire crafts and jewelry, my friend has been showing me some really cool earrings and they became a big inspo
What should I do next?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The doorbell rings as the tussling of keys can be heard from Euronymous’ hands. “I got it!” I shout, opening the door to see Pelle standing there awkwardly. “Hey Pelle! You’re just in time, we’re all about to head to the movies” I say looking at the blonde haired boy, his cheeks turning a slight pink tone. “Oh yea uhm..Euro texted me” he says avoiding my gaze. He shuffles away from the doorway, letting Euronymous and I out. We all proceed to get into Euros car. “So are Faust and the guys meeting us there?” Pelle asks after a few minutes of nothing but the sound of the radio.
“Yeah, they’re just gonna be a minute since traffic’s pretty bad on their side” Euronymous says, putting his foot to the gas as the light turns green. Pelle nods, staring out the window, looking around at all the passing cars. I look at Pelle, he looks..tired? “You alright?” I ask. The blonde looks at me, seeming somewhat surprised by me breaking the silence. “Yea I’m fine y/n” he says looking back out the window to avoid the conversation.
The car pulls into the movie theater parking lot, we all get out walking up to the register. “Hello, what movie are we seeing today folks?” The cashier asks politely. “Three tickets for this movie please” Euronymous says, placing the money on the counter,pointing to a movie. “Of course, the concessions are inside” the cashier says handing us our tickets. Euronymous nods in acknowledgment, holding the door open for Pelle and I.
Walking up to the concessions counter Euro turns to us. “What do you guys want?” He asks pulling out a 20 dollar bill. “Popcorn and a slurpy?” I ask. “Sure sis, what about you Pelle?” He asks turning to the blonde. “Oh- I’m fine with whatever,” he says quickly, almost taken out of a trance. “Alright, you guys can sit down while I pay for this stuff” Euronymous says, pointing to the tables next to the bathrooms.
I nod walking over to the table, Pelle following close behind. We sit down. I look at Pelle, taking in his features as he refuses to look at me. “What’s wrong?” I ask putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Nothing y/n” he says moving out of my touch. Euronymous comes back with a handful of snacks. “Come help me get the rest guys” we all grab our own snacks and drinks. “Sorry you guys are going to have to share popcorn, I was two bucks short to get another” Euro said as we walked down to our designated auditorium. “It’s fine Euro” I say as we take our seats.
The theaters lights dim as music from the projector plays, the movie is finally starting after what feels like an hour of previews. I go to reach for the bag of popcorn accidentally putting my hand on Pelles, immediately pulling away. “Sorry” I say quickly before turning back to the movie. The movie continues on, the main character jumping out into the frame of the projector screen.
The audience chuckles as they say a joke as a criminal swings at them. I take a sip of my slurpy taking a brief glance at Pelle. I look away as I see his eyes look over to me. I lean to Euronymous, whispering in his ear. “I’m gonna go to the bathroom, I’ll be back” he nods as I get up from my seat, walking down the dimly lit movie theater stairs.
I walk into the bathroom, splashing water in my face, starting to sob into my hands. After a few minutes I hear slight knocking on the bathroom wall, a figure slowly coming into my line of vision. The figure comes closer to me, rubbing my back. “I’m sorry we have to do this” the figure says. “What..?” I ask looking up, at first confused but soon my confusion is clarified as I see Pelle, still there rubbing my back.
Pelle frowns, wiping my tears away. “I can’t stand to see you cry, but you know why we have to keep this a secret, right?” He asks coming closer to me. I nod looking into Pelles warm brown eyes. “I know, Euro won’t allow it” I reply sniffling. Pelles frown grows and he wraps his arms around me, putting his head in my neck giving me a small kiss.
“Just wait a little longer, we can convince him” Pelle says brushing my hair out of my face. I nod again looking at him glumly. “Hey it’s okay, I promise” he says smiling, waiting for me to smile back but I don’t. Pelle then puts me into a kiss, my eyes widen in shock but I kiss him back passionately. I wrap my arms around Pelles neck. Pelle kisses me harder, putting his hands on my waist, picking me up. “Pelle!” I yelp feeling his hands on my ass, lifting me up.
Pelle places me on the bathroom counter, pushing me against the mirror as his lips attack mine. “I missed this” he mumbles into my lips, coating them with our saliva. I giggle pulling onto Pelles hair. He moans in my mouth, biting my lip and touching up on my body. He’s about to undo his pants before we hear a voice of a staff member. “Get out of there before I call your mamas!!” The staff member screams banging her mop on the floor. Pelle and I bolt out of the bathroom making out to our movie auditorium. “Remember, keep this between us” Pelle says before opening the door for me.
“Of course” I say walking in. “Alright, I’m gonna wait out here for a few minutes so they don’t think anything” he says giving me a quick kiss before shutting the door, smiling.
Male Yandere Deep Sea-Creature x Female Mermaid Reader x Male Yandere Human
I don’t think you’ve ever done 2 yanderes pursuing the same darling, so think you could try it? (Unless I’m just stupid and aren’t remembering your other stories right)
We all know of the classic mercreature x human forbidden romance story, but what if there was another from the same marine world added into the mix? Yandere deep sea-creature is also in love with mermaid reader darling, so imagine what he’d do to keep her with him. Same goes for yandere human
This story you can hopefully have fun with as there’s so many ways it can turn out. And another note on why deep sea-creature…it was because I think a merman can be a bit boring, and it’d be interesting to explore a deep sea-creature instead (or straight up eldritch monster of your own creation). Just remember…deep sea-creatures usually get bigger the deeper you go. Much bigger thanks to deep sea gigantism…;)
(Re-sending this to you, because you said you only got 3 requests when I think I sent you 4. But if you had this request, just ignore this ask with this additional message at the end)
Thanks!!! 💝
Yandere! Male! Deep sea creature x mermaid! Fem! Reader x Human! Male! Hunter
OH THIS IS A DOOZY TO WRITE
By the way, guess whose birthday it is today (Hint: it's me LOL)
Got a little bit sidelined on this fic, but i tried. Two men pursuing darling ain't for me but for you, 💝anon, I'll do it ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
This one starts with (and focuses on) you, the reader, since I can't exactly make a yandere man focused fic with two men without making it really long. So unfortunately I cannot put that much of their lore.
Wait, so what does this mean? Do they belong to the same number, or separate? (I mean, I am targeting 16 yanderes in one set. So do they count as one or nah? Eh...)
Yandere! Deep Sea creature name: Viper (from the viperfish) Yandere! Hunter: Orion
It was truly an unfortunate day for you.
You, a mermaid living in the ocean, swimming freely without any people's judgements and even other mermaids.
You aren't exactly a woman of fear.
You love exploring. It's one of your favorite hobbies and actively seek out new thrills and discoveries.
In a world where mer/werpeople were still a newly discovered concept by humans, your folks were adamant on telling you to keep safe from them. Since humans are cruel and what not.
But you didn't care. You wish to see humans and their inventions.
Because of this, you became an outcast from your people, and live on your own in one of the trenches. Just a tad far away from oceanic civilization.
You felt bad for yourself, honestly. Why can't they just accept you're just thirsty for knowledge?
You want to swim up top, where the sun shines and the huge boats reside, with legged people running around in water vehicles. You want to know how they operated it, how they made it, and stuff like that.
Contrary to popular belief, Humans are the uneducated ones. They went on for years upon years not knowing about wer/merpeople other than their mythologies. Yet these other species had always blended with them seamlessly.
Foolish, but that's what made them fascinating for you.
But you only knew what's up above, but not...
The current suddenly felt cold as you lounged at one of the trench dugouts, and you looked down from your side.
It was deep. Too deep for you to explore.
You love the light, but hate the dark.
And it was dark down there. An eerie, dark blue of emptiness.
You're the only one in this abandoned trench, teeming with other sea life other than merpeople, with corals so beautiful and sea anemones that sway with the waters.
But as the trench go down... And down... And down...
They decreased in numbers till they got swallowed by the darkness.
You heard of deep sea merpeople sometimes, but a lot agreed to not look for them. For they are hideous and ugly. Some use them as a scare tactic for young merchildren, that these hideous and large merpeople will eat them alive.
Unfortunately, you believed those stories due to your parents drilling it in your head to not head down.
You shook your head and grabbed your bag, before swimming upwards as you saw a weird mechanism suddenly being dropped in the water via a boat.
You swam around it, curious to this weird ball. It's clearly cut in half then somehow glued together. It's tied to a rope, with little baits decorating the sides.
"Weird, how do humans catch fishes with this?" You asked to yourself, tilting your head as you swatted away the fishes from trying to eat the baits.
Curiosity got a hold of you though. And as you accidentally pulled a bait out from trying to carefully remove it, the ball bursts open and spews out a net, catching you off guard as you got enveloped by the fishnet.
"WHA--?!" As you got enveloped, your body got hauled back to the surface.
Your heart is beating wildly as you broke through the water tension. You can feel the heat of the sun now enveloping your body, which was once only can be felt by your face. You can feel the water dripping from your body down to the waters below, and the net digging onto your skin as your weight made the machine creek.
"Oh? A mermaid?"
A sultry voice said, snapping you from your fear. You looked up, and saw not two, but only one human in such a big boat.
He stood tall, with long legs in a fitted pair of pants and boots. He's wearing a dress shirt that hung loosely on his torso in an inserted fashion. He had a hooded look in his face, examining you over.
"This is the first time I saw a mermaid. Hey there, love." He said again in that voice that made you shiver.
He leans to the edge of the boat, his elbows on the railings. Looking at you with an inquisitve look.
"My name's Orion, love. What's yours?" He asked in a deep tone that made you gulp.
"Y/N..." You whispered, gripping your bag.
"Pretty name for a pretty mermaid." He smiled and you flushed red.
Due to being a recluse, you never got the chance to find a lover, let alone a mate.
As you started to dry out a bit, you scratched your skin, uncomfortable from the direct heat.
Orion saw this and went to the machine.
You curiously looked at what he's doing, trembling from the sudden realization that you're so close to a human invention!
You clutched your bag once more and intently watched as Orion hummed and pulled the lever, making you jerk back as the machine whirred to life and lowered your net.
"Forgive me, love. Thought I caught a big octopus or a huge school of fish." Orion said, making you nod as your body got immersed with the water.
The net unclasped from the bottom, which was held together by a strong magnet as it retreated back to the ball.
"Thank you, Orion." You whispered.
"No problem, love. I'm sorry for catching you like that again." Orion chuckled at your voice.
You didn't make a move from your place, still so curious about the boat. Orion noticed it and chuckled once more.
"Want to know stuff about boats?" He asked and you nodded eagerly. "Alright."
And, as Orion and you talked the afternoon off, you didn't notice a pair of eyes from down, down below look at you with such intensity, hostile.
Tumblr media
Orion. A rich man who got a vessel by himself to know more about sealife, hunt them, and display them as catches.
He's always been interested marine life. Living by the seaside most of his life due to his yacht investing father and a beach resort owner mother, he's drawn to the sea in more ways than one.
Due to being mostly by the sea, he developed such tan skin that glistens under the sun whenever he walks by the port. Plus the way his face is built, he looks like a Carribean prince waiting for his mermaid to appear on the beach while not being able to speak.
But due to his parents' financial status, most of the time he only spends time by himself. Other children his age in that port town were intimidated. Despite him trying to be friendly, he can't catch himself a friend at all.
That goes for lovers too. Yeah, there are people who are brave. But in the end, they get overwhelmed from his clinginess.
This made him more clingy and possessive.
He just doesn't want them to run away. He's too lonely for such an extroverted man like him. And with so much love (baggage) to give, how can he make somebody stay in such a demanding and overwhelming way?
It's honestly a draining cycle for both him and the lovers he had.
Now, he only hunts fishes and and examine them. If they're edible, he eats them. If it's interesting, he taxidermies them somehow.
Then, while testing a new net system he developed, he catches a mermaid, you.
He's surprised, but got his heart speared when he saw your clear, fearful, yet curious eyes.
You're so pretty that he swore he's in heaven rather than the sea.
For the first time, an aggressive want to make you his filled him inside that it scared even him.
But he doesn't want to scare you. So, rather than being overwhelming immediately, he took his time.
Why not start with fulfilling your thirst for knowledge?
Everyday, he goes back to that specific spot only for you. You always asked him about his boat, about the machinery, about technology that he brought... He filled your head with information that made you so giddy it was adorable in his eyes.
But he can't shake off the feeling of somebody staring at them. It's honestly unsettling. Sure, it may be other merfolks, but you swore that nobody other than you goes here.
It's strange, but he shrugs it off. He's happy to solo you anyways.
What you didn't know is that he's already ordered a large aquarium type habitat on his home. The size of city wide aquariums of sharks, whales, etc. He made sure to put everything that he thinks you will like.
He wants you in his arms.
He wants to jump down to the sea, hug you in such a tight embrace, and devour your salty lips that will probably taste so sweet on his tongue.
You're so sweet, inquisitive, kind, and understanding. Too lovable. And just thinking that other merfolk have interacted with you before and some probably saw you as a potential mate darkens his mood to no end.
He hasn't tried hunting mermaids yet, should he?
Somehow, he's grateful that you're a social outcast. That means he could just solo you like this.
Not until you didn't show up in a meeting, and his heart dropped to the floor.
Tumblr media
Hours before the daily meeting.
You plucked some kelp from a nearby kelp farm that you personally oversee. Hungry, you rolled some and continued to find more proper kelp to join in a fish salad.
Hey, some sealife here are the equivalent of meat consumables for humans.
Getting some oysters, you continued to get food for dinner when a light flashed from your peripheral vision.
"Hmm?" Your body swayed as you looked to the side where the light came from.
Putting what you got in your basket, you swam to the trenches again and tried to find where the light came from.
Some fishes got out of your way as you tried to find it once more, before it flashed again.
"Aha! Now, where... Huh?"
The flash came from the deepest part of the trenches.
The cold current got to you again, and you shivered.
It flashed again, enticing you to swim closer.
But you knew not to do it.
The stories of the deep sea merpeople flashed your mind again, and you almost shrieked in fear from the memories.
But the light is so enticing...
"Just a bit..."
You swam down, passing by the corals and the anemones. Your heartrate picked up, feeling the cold current once more.
Then, you noticed how the corals and anemones are thinning out, but you pushed through, telling yourself that it's not that far.
It's really not that far... Right?
The light flashed once more, now a bit bigger.
So, with a burst of energy and the adrenaline, you swam harder, wanting to see what's the flashing light is.
Then, the light went out.
You gasped in fear and astonishment as suddenly, it got so dark.
With nothing around you at all. Not even the trenches' walls kept you company as the vast, dark nothingness filled your vision.
Cold currents on warm waters, water rippling around you as if some kind of entity kept swimming past you, and you swore you saw beady eyes look at you from afar.
Should you go up?
But wait, where is up?
You felt your stomach drop.
Then, the flashing light blinded you, making you yelp and cover your eyes.
Feeling a sense of deja vu, you felt a presence in front of you.
No, around you.
You trembled, not wanting to open your eyes, but you knew you have to face whatever was in front of you.
So you opened your eyes, and almost shrieked once more from the person in front of you.
He's huge. With beady, ghost like eyes and sharp teeth as he unhinges his jaw in such a grotesque way that made you squirm in how uncomfortable it is to look at. His antenna, the one flashing, shone in now a dimly light as he swerves his body around you. Almost coiling his tail on your body.
He's triple your length, maybe quadruple even. And he laughs deeply at your scared face. He had a sick joy flashing his eyes before he tilted his head.
"Upper Dweller, didn't know you would follow my light." His voice, a ghost like quality with such roughness that it's gravelly. "I'm surprised you're still alive with such curiosity inside of you. Tell me, little one, what's your name?"
"Y/N..." You gulped, cowering from his stature as he swam around you once more.
He looked so creepy, yet had this look that's attracting you to him. Is it the antenna? Who knows.
"A name that matches you." He chuckles and you squirm. Was it a good thing or bad?
"My name's Viper. Nice to meet you, Upper Dweller Y/N." He smiles, his jaw now back in its place yet the sharp teeth still shone. "Hmm... Tiny mermaid, so easy to crush..."
He fully coiled his tail around you, and it felt so cold. The scales felt so cold and uncomfortable against your own tail and skin.
"You dwell on the trenches that nobody dares to live due to being the entrance to my lair." He whispers, closing his face against yours. "Did the people not tell you that?"
You felt your blood run colder than usual. Nobody did. Did they send you there knowing a deep sea dweller lives at the bottom?
Suddenly, you felt helpless against his hold as you realized that you got sent to your what's essentially your death.
Viper smiles from your reaction as he kept himself from pulling you down to the abyss completely.
The first time you got to the trenches, Viper was thoroughly surprised. The abandoned trenches suddenly got a resident once more? Who's the stupid mermaid who dares to live on his what's essentially a frontyard?
And he got a good look on you. Despite being of a viperfish specie, his ghost like eyes were useful for him, making him look at your face fully even though the distance is so far.
You. You look so precious, so pure as you swam around above. So small and puny that just one bite from his powerful jaw can crack you open.
But he didn't lure you yet, just observed his prey as you swam around, trying to watch the boats on the surface.
Viper's a lonely man.
Deep sea merfolk are rare, and in this place, it was only him.
So, he never really got the proper education on what to do in social contexts. Not like he had a chance to do so.
The only time he got is when people still reside the trenches up above when he's still a fry. They looked so happy and chatty, friendly and kind.
And he wants to experience it too.
So, he swam up, trying to form relationships, but this only scared the merfolk away from the ghost like appearance of Viper and his sheer size despite being only a fry back then.
And all of them left the trenches.
It broke small Viper's heart, and he steeled them in the years to come.
But now, you moved in.
Fortunately, Viper's in that age that he's finding a mate to be with for life.
And, with how much he observed you, taking in your smiles, curious glances up above, and fearful looks you gave down below, he slowly fell in love with you.
Well, in one way or another.
So, when he saw you talking to this puny human, he knew he had to make his move.
So, he lured you here.
"Little one..." He whispered, nudging your hand open with his sharp claws.
You opened it nervously, and gasped in terror as he gave you a black pearl.
A symbol of wanting to be mates.
"NO!" You screamed in fear as you got the strength to break free and swim with all your might up to the surface.
Viper growled and tried to catch up with you.
"COME HERE!"
You shrieked in terror as his hand is only a smidge away from your tail.
The darkness slowly got lighter, and you were tired from exhaustion but you knew you cannot stop.
Viper was angry. How dare you reject him! A little upper-dweller that he can just crush with one hand yet he graciously let live reject his offer to be his mate?
But the light got too much for him, and he had to hiss and retreat.
"You will be back." He whispered, watching your retreating figure. "I just know it."
Viper remembers the other man, the human, who somehow saw through him one day when he observed the both of you. Viper felt the hostility and bloodlust from him as he looked directly at where Viper is.
Viper swore up and down it's just coincidence, but the way Orion's eyes never left his spot was unsettling. How can Orion even see Viper?
But Viper knew that this man is not an easy opponent.
So he retreats...
And Orion also retreats as he realized you aren't going to be in the meeting place today.
Two men. One up above, and one below.
Both wants you in their arms.
One will offer you the light but in such a restrictive way,
And the other will offer you the darkness filled with uncertainty but within the waters you know and love.
So, who will it be, love?
Time is ticking, little one.
It will not be long until these two go face to face.
And one will not live to see the tale.
And they totally would act like this
Apricot:
crying lmao
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Damien: Why wouldn't we shop at [the expensive place]? I am an heir-
Danny: taps the paper 2k a month. You gave up your money to make me feel more comfortable.
Damien: Why would I care about your comfort?
Danny: dramatic gasp How could say that about your husband?!
Apricot:
Damian: husband?! what "husband"?!
Eros:
then proceeded to fight on types of toast and pricy vegetarian meals
Danny: look our family needs a balance diet, we can't live off vegetables alone! The very least we should mix it with some actual food like Ectoplasm.
(if Ectoplasm can be considered all kind of elements/a semi living organism since it revives things then any food brought to life should be counted as a beast of some kind)
Eros:
Also counts since Danny lived off ectoplasm for a fair bit of his life so he would see it as a food source
Eros:
Danny: me. I'm your husband, we agreed to marry to make it easier for the kids.
Apricot:
Damian: KIDS?!
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Danny: Danny Jr and Damian Jr!
Eros:
Danny: yes kids, don't tell me you forgot we had kids! I swear you'll say you forgot we have pets too!
Danny: shows the paper that says they have a pet and two kids
Jazz:
No wait, the ectoplasm comes last. Just the Wayne’s seeing Damian and this random kid fight about every single thing. Finally Damian comes home and says that they finally agreed on something.
The Wayne’s: finally. Looks like this is a good learning experience:
Damian: we have agreed to live off of Lazarus water.
Wayne’s: ABORT! ABORT! ABORT!
And the best thing is that they might not know about Danny being a halfa. So they think Damian is now corrupting random citizens.
Jazz:
Cause like, they both grew up with Lazarus water/ectoplasm and know the nutritional value.
Eros:
Indeed~
Jazz:
Great for child development too!
They both turned out great!
Eros:
Hehehe
Alright now both Danny and Damian are fully into this project now they have at least a agreed idea on food
Because the project they have is this; budget for every day living
So they have food set out
There is now trying to keep the house running and kids/pets alive and entertained
Danny agrees that with his skills he can do the majority of repairs, Damian agrees to take responsibility of the pets
They are now having an argument on how children should be raised.
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Damian is all for strict discipline, high standards of education, after school activities (he may not want his kids to be assassins but he still wants the best).
Danny's all for independence, finding your own way, encouragement and lots of love and support.
Damian: Do you want our children to grow up to be garbagemen?!
Danny: Do you know how much a garbageman makes?!
Eros:
Danny grew up around a lot of physical affection and love from his folks, except around the time of the accident/the holidays he always knew his parents loved each other very very much.
Damian comes from such an emotionally constipated house hold that he only gets the majority of physical affection from Dick
Jazz:
Lol
This is so perfect.
Danny then says something that puts Damian’s entire world view into question.
Danny: is this how you would treat our pets?!
Eros:
Damian: gasp how dare you, how very dare you!
Adonnenniel "Addy":
XD Danny, recounting the story later to Sam and Tucker: I swear, if he had pearls, he would've clutched them.
Eros:
Hehehe
Jazz:
Me imagining Damian going to Dick to complain.
Damian: can you imagine?! Raising kids and hugging them! Or saying it’s ok to fail!
Dick’s face.
Eros:
Damian complaining to his family: we might have agreed on living off Lazarus water, but now he wishes for our children to just go wild, then compared our pets to them!
Jazz:
Damian: obviously our pets would act nothing like those…savages.
Eros:
It just keeps getting better~
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Waynes are listening to this kind of like a soap opera
Eros:
Sam: wow Danny, at the very least your doing better then when you were partnered up with Val, like the majority of the time you were trying to pawn off raising the kid on each other until the flower was in danger, but I can't say much myself since Tucker pulled a Kronos.
Which opened a new can of worms; how much time were they going to take care and be there for their "kids" what kind of training would they go through
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Hehehe
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Danny: I learned from my mistakes. I wasn't ready to be a parent then.
Eros:
Their whole class and teachers are watching it like a soap opera
Eros:
The very least they get to see it live and not re counted
Jazz:
(Someone get popcorn, or they just get out their packed lunches early).
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Yes! The Waynes and Sam and Tucker get the play-by-play but the class gets to see the actual show!
Jazz:
No wait, someone records it and post it and then it goes viral. (Do they think that the Wayne’s make a lot more sense now hearing of how Damian thinks children should be raised?)
(Are there now more questions?!)
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Oooh. I can see people being even worse to Damian. Maybe pitying him because he grew up with so little love.
Eros:
Then the next day Danny brings up the issue of child raising again since Sam makes a good point.
Danny: okay so I've re think a few things, mainly on occasion the kids should get self defense classes or something like that since it would make most sense to keep them safe. But beyond work and school activities how should we spend our time with them?
Jazz:
People see the two about to continue their conversation and immediately stop what they are doing to bring their phones out.
What if this becomes one of the most popular ‘dramas’? Like, so much in fact even villains will stop what they are doing to watch?
Eros:
(because Danny comes from a physical affectionate house doesn't mean there was neglect from his folks working way too much)
Jazz pretty much raised him when it came to actual child care so Danny is determined to be there for his "kids"
Not just for the fun stuff or being pulled to random projects
Jazz:
They get super invested in this project.
Also, what if people intentionally goad them on? Like seeing them together and asking if a kid should be left alone at home or with a babysitter or what they’ll do during a blackout/tornado?
Eros:
Surprisingly it's Danny who brings a big book of plans in case if emergencies
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Yes!
Adonnenniel "Addy": - reply to students and citizens goading Danny and Damian on.
The teacher reworks their lesson plans to do an extended deep dive into home economics so that this can keep happening.
Jazz:
Absolutely.
Jazz:
Some of the emergency responses are normal like, if there is a tornado, evacuate kids to a shelter, others are strange like arguing whether you should fight the burglar or prioritize the kids. Others are just plain weird. A blackout? Both Damian and Danny will turn to face the questioner. Obviously they’ll be able to see in the dark. (Effect of ectoplasm/Lazarus exposure).
Eros:
Danny is even willing to share on the "in case of apocalypses" situations
Jazz:
Neither question why they know a massive amount of information about various world ending disasters/villains.
Eros:
Oh and how they should pack bags for school and for emergencies
Jazz:
Omg, they make a kid survival kit. Including blasters and knives.
Eros:
Danny insists they should put some of the survival kit stuff in the school bag
Jazz:
Everything a five year old should take to school.
Eros:
Ooo discussion on how old their kids should be to learn about weapons and how to safely handle them
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Danny: Eight should be good.
Damian: Eight is way too late to start!
Jazz:
The fact that both agree this is a necessary subject to teach their kids. Everyone’s reaction to hearing various ways you can kill/dismember a person and why this won’t work. Not because it’s immoral but clearly because young kids don’t have the necessary arm length to complete certain maneuvers.
Eros:
Damian: that's why we should put the kids into martial arts and gymnastics as soon as possible so  they can be flexible enough!
Jazz:
Danny: that’s why we should wait until their older and focus on their aim while young! Their muscle memory will be all wrong by the time they reach the appropriate age!
Damian: they will not always have a weapon to aim. The body is the only reliable weapon that will never fail.
Eros:
Now to add extra into the mix; Bruce and Jazz (who is now Danny's legal guardian) show up to school to pick them up as they are in a middle of an argument
Danny: and who will be the one teaching them? Because proper teachers will be expensive, at least we can teach them at home how to aim properly! It can be a bonding experience!
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Jazz: What are you talking about?
Danny: Teaching our young children proper aim.
Jazz: You will not!
Danny: I mean, you're obviously not going to teach them.
Jazz:
Damian: I can teach them perfectly fine.
Danny: what about work? You can’t be with them all the time.
Damian: I can take them with me. We can travel around Gotham and learn to fight through experience.
Danny: you are not taking our children to fight on the streets
Damian: what, didn’t you want us bonding?! Make up your mind!
Dick looking at Bruce. “This is your fault.”
Eros:
Danny: You're not letting our children out on the streets, they will put too many people in the hospital! You have any idea how expensive that would be!
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Damian casually dropping he's Robin?
Jazz:
Danny not even processing it.
Then casually stating he’s dead. Damian skipping that detail.
Adonnenniel "Addy":
XD They're too caught up in the roles.
Jazz:
Exactly.
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Maybe afterwards, if they think back on it.
Jazz:
Like vigilantism and the dead coming back to life is normal for them. They are focusing on the children right now thank you.
Adonnenniel "Addy":
And then they both come up with the excuse "I was just adding to lore, it was all pretend!"
Eros:
Not before this;
Damian: fine if you want to control our lives and children then we should just divorce!!
Jazz:
Danny: oh I’m controlling?!
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Do they get Alfred to be the judge to oversee their divorce?
Jazz:
Danny: fine, our kids and pets will be happier with me anyways.
Damian: don’t you dare bring the pets into this.
Damian going to Bruce to use the Wayne lawyers for this imaginary family divorce.
He will win this.
Danny actually going to Vlad.
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Vlad has been watching the whole time. He doesn't need to be brought up to speed.
Jazz:
Both of them are like, this is ridiculous. But on the other hand, my child actually asked for help from me for once.
Eros:
Hehehe
Danny uses Dani as an example of a child that is better off with him
Jazz:
Lol
Adonnenniel "Addy":
And Jazz even brings it up to Bruce that if Damian didn't get to play like this as a young kid, he might be making up for lost time, in his own intense way.
Eros:
Because that's what Danny is doing too
Jazz:
The absolute struggle both Bruce and Vlad go through on whether or not to actually do this and use up their lawyers, money, and resources.
The viral videos increase.
Eros:
Danny getting frustrated enough that he is tempted to get Clockwork to be the judge
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Bruce gets his other kids involved? They play as Damian's lawyers?
Eros:
Yesz
Jazz:
Dick is having a blast.
Then Sam comes in for Danny’s defense.
Both Tucker, Tim, and Barbra (possibly Technis) get into a hacking war.
Eros:
Yesss!
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Yesss!
Jazz:
Cujo and Titus become best friends.
Eros:
Dani is still the example child
Jazz:
Tim is Damian’s example child.
Eros:
Peepaw Clockwork comes in a human form to judges
Jazz:
Alfred and Clockwork have tea.
And discuss their kids.
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Tim: I'm older than you! How am I your example child?!
Dick: whispers Hey, he's including you without stabbing you. Take the win.
Eros:
Clockwork: I do hope they figure this all out before their legit kids are born~
Jazz:
Yesssss.
Eros:
Danny: finally stops, going into a blushing and betrayed look at Clockwork
Damian: who doesn't know Clockwork sees the future what on earth are you talking about, we barely are keeping together for the kids we do have!
Gestures to Tim and Dani
Jazz:
Tim: I’m. Older. Than you!
Damian. Then start acting like it.
Danny: (trying to recover) tsk tsk, how can you treat your son this way?
Damian: he’s adopted.
Eros:
Danny: and she's a clone, doesn't mean they can't be loved and cared for as their own persons!
Danny: to prove a point he hugs both Dani and Tim, trying to smoother them with love and acceptance
Jazz:
Tim just looks so done with life at the moment.
Eros:
Danny: plus our pets are adopted, yet you wouldn't love them any less
Jazz:
Critical hit.
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Danny ends up adopting Tim by the end of this.
Jazz:
Lol
He wins Tim in the divorce.
Eros:
Lol
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Yesss!
Eros:
Tim gets a new dad
Jazz:
Bruce doesn’t know how to feel about this.
Eros:
This one says "I love you" and is into Tim's science projects
Jazz:
Dani’s like new sibling. Tackle Hugs.
And Danny doesn’t restrict coffee intake. He’s just as bad.
Eros:
If anything he shows Tim a whole world of coffee mixes
Jazz:
Jazz though. Jazz is a bit of a problem with Coffee.
Tim and his new dad form an alliance.
Eros:
Danny takes Tim to Frostbite to get a new spleen
Jazz:
Danny: see? I provide free healthcare.
Eros:
Then proceeds to show off Tim: This is my boi, I won him!
All while Dani is giggling and clinging to their sides
Jazz:
Vlad is looking at Bruce very smugly.
Eros:
Danny would show Tim and Dani off at school after this
Like: behold, my children!
Jazz:
It becomes public that Wayne enterprise’s CEO is Tim Fenton.
Eros:
(and since I'm going with King Danny in this)
That means due to Danny winning and Tim becoming his kid, Tim Fenton is now the prince of the infinite realms along with his new sister Dani
Cass and Steph come back from a big trip once everything is over
Jazz:
They ask what happened.
Jason gleefully explains that Bruce went to legal war with another billionaire over an imaginary family and ended up loosing Tim to them.
Also, that Damian might have a crush.
Eros:
youtube
Jazz:
Lol
Eros:
Because he just went through one of the best non injury fights of his life with this guy
Jazz:
And lost
Eros:
Yet they do agree on a fair bit of things, and now know where their main issues are and can work on them.
Jazz:
The entire world witness this entire thing and there are going to be shippers.
Eros:
Pft imagine the Justice League hearing about this~
Jazz:
Also just think, when they eventually do get together. That high school teacher is absolutely going to brag that it was their project that started this.
Jon might have a crisis on being replaced as Damian’s best friend. Someone explains the difference between boyfriend and normal friend and Jon’s like, ok that’s fine then.
Eros:
Oh man, when Jon finds out everything that had happened
Jon would tell Conner
Jazz:
Conner hears about the clone comment.
Now Conner wants to be adopted.
Bruce “Kal-el” Wayne:
Absolutely
Danny be pulling a Bruce
Or would Bruce be pulling a Danny?
Jazz:
Omg, I just realized. Bruce Wayne lost a Custody battle.
Bruce “Kal-el” Wayne:
Major L
Eros:
To a child
Bruce “Kal-el” Wayne:
Ain't Danny technically a god?
Eros:
Still child
Who would definitely adopt Conner
BuriedReign:
Omg this is like a whole ass fic already, it’s soooo goood! I absolutely bursted out laughing at the “we plan to live off Lazarus water”
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Just got caught up and all I have to say is: 😂😂😂
Btw, I love the idea that Tim isn't legally adopted to Danny (by ghost standards, yes, not by mortal law) but he just goes with Danny cuz he's so done with his family.
Eros:
>:3
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Dani, Tim, Conner. Do we throw in reformed, de-aged Dan for shits and giggles?
Eros:
Pfft yess
And Damian only finds out about Dan after the divorce
This re sparks everything into a new battle~
Eros:
Damian is offended that Danny never told him about their other son Dan
Adonnenniel "Addy":
He wants visitation rights!
Eros:
Damian wants to win Dan, like how Danny won Tim
Adonnenniel "Addy":
That makes more sense
Eros:
Damian goes up to Dan and offers access to all sort of weapons, training/fights, being a heir to a different Kingdom, and possibly be ungrounded if he takes Damian's side in the new Custody battle
The Angst Queen:
When you catch up and burst out laughing
Also - I wanna add something
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Add, please!
The Angst Queen:
Damian would definitely pull a sword at some point - decide to attack and “miss” every time. He does not expect Danny to suddenly have an ice sword in hand. Do then they’re both going at it in a sword fight while still arguing about diaper brands
Damian - so then I attack him
Dick - WHAT!?!?
Damian - I know! He didn’t even have the decency to die! He pulled out his own sword!
Dick in shock whispers - what
Damian - and he still refuses to consider Huggies! Insists on natural diapers!
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Lol
Eros:
Like when the arguments get too much they start sword fighting like the Adam's family
It's how they discuss things and keep up reaction times for both brain and body
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Do they fight in school or at the manor?
Eros:
School, just to add more to the soap opera drama
And for the bats to keep missing the live actions of it
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Yes!
Eros:
Except Babs but that's obvious to know why
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Their sword fights go all around the school, interrupting other classes. The security guards or other teachers try to stop them but Danny'll just pull them into the argument.
Teacher: walking up to them, trying to grab the swords Now, boys, this must stop!
Danny: leaps up onto a desk, put his arm around the teacher's neck as he's still fighting Damian Hey, you look like a reasonable man. Tell me, why would you ever want to buy a waste product all for brand recognition and not cut down waste and get reusable diapers?
Teacher: That's a very leading question and calls on a few logical fallacies-
Danny: shoves the teacher away as Damian leaps for an attack
Eros:
And this is where Damian's crush really began
It's one thing to argue and have different trains of thought
It's another to have someone actually just as skilled as you in the battle of the sword and the mind
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Yeeees!
Eros:
Danny: Hopefully the castle is big enough for everyone
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Tim: You have a castle!? O_O
Conner: You have a castle!? : D
Danny: Yep!  Oh, and you two are now royalty!  Don't worry, you won't have to do anything unless you want to.
Eros:
I wonder if Tim rubs it in his other semi siblings faces
Like Steph, Jason, and Damian's faces in particular
Bruce “Kal-el” Wayne:
Does Tim take a pic of everything in the realms?
Eros:
Yes
Bruce Kal-el” Wayne:
Or try to
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Tim especially rubs being royalty in Damian's face.  He knows he should be better but damnit, Damian was/is all high and mighty about being the heir to the League of Assassins and Bruce's biological child - he stabbed Tim over it!  Tim gets to gloat a bit that he technically outranks Damian now!
BuriedReign:
Does this increase Damian’s crush on Danny? Damian tries to ask out Danny and makes it ‘rational’ by saying of course he needs to be higher ranked than Tim. While also trying to hide that isn’t the only reason why he wants to date Danny
Eros:
(make Damian unintentionally ghost speak which reveals his true emotions and reasons as to why he wants to date Danny)
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Damian: I want to date him for no other reason than to one-up my once brother.  That's it.  Nothing else involved here.  Just pure revenge.  I will not let Tim outrank me in this life or the next.
Jason: Uh-huh. flipping to the next page of Pride and Prejudice  Have fun on your denial date.
Omg, imagine Damian formally asking Danny out on a date!
And Danny's like, despite the divorce, I want to give us another shot.
Eros:
And the plot THICKENS
That's everyone's reactions 😁
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Yes!
Eros:
Where would they even go on a date?
Ooo what if they went to the museum
Or an art gallery
Bruce “Kal-el” Wayne:
Or a date to the literal moon
Eros:
I don't think Damian would survive that well
Bruce “Kal-el” Wayne:
Ecto shield giving an artificial atmosphere
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Damian would take Danny to a museum or art gallery.
Danny will chose the next date and take him to the moon.
Eros:
Then definitely the museum should be like the Glenbow Museum
This is just inside the front entrance
Tumblr media
It's called the aurora borealis
Because they make the crystals actually glow different colors
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Ooooooh!
Yes!
Eros:
This is a full on walk through section where you learn about the stars and First Nations
Tumblr media
Adonnenniel "Addy":
Holy shit, now I want to go to the Glenbow Museum.
Eros:
Art pieces, and they also have a section for mid evil times and even mini battle fields
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Angst Queen:
Side note - I bet Danny makes Damian work to get that date
Eros:
Definitely
Joey B Blurbs: Blank Space
Tumblr media
————————————————————————-
Summary: You prank Joe by texting him the lyrics of Blank Space by Taylor Swift while he's out with the guys.
Warnings: Unserious/funny, pranks!
Pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
Imagine Universe: Into the Mystic
A/N: Part 3 of blurb night!
———————————————————————-
No particular date for this blurb!
Joe had just left to go hang out with the guys at Sam’s house - something about welcoming some of the newly signed players.
I was home alone. Robin and Jimmy had picked up Miles and Tyson this morning to have a little grandparents' day with them, so it was just me.
The house was clean, and Joe and I had started packing to move, but according to him, I wasn’t allowed to do anything without his assistance.
There was no way Joe was at Sam’s yet, so I decided to give him a call.
“Hey, baby. Is everything okay? I just left.” - Joe
“Hi, yes, and I know. I'm just super bored.” - you
“I can turn around and take you with me. Jess will be there obviously, maybe you guys can hang out while we’re there. We’ll probably be in the basement.” - Joe
“You’d do that?” - you
The smile must have been evident in my tone because Joe laughed a little before answering.
“Would I offer if I wouldn't?” - Joe
“No.” - you giggled
“I'll see you in a bit, Mama.” - Joe
“Okay, Joey. I love you.” - you
“I love you too. And baby?” - Joe
“Yeah?” - you
“I turned around as soon as you called.” - Joe
——
I held onto Joe’s hand as we walked up to Sam’s door, and when Sam opened it, he was surprised to see me there.
“Oh hey, y/n!” - Sam
“Hey!” - you
“The boys are with my folks, and I didn't want her to be home all by herself.” - Joe explained
Silently squeezing Joe’s hand to thank him for not telling Sam that I’m a hormonal pregnant woman who's so needy she can't be away from her husband, he squeezed back.
Joe led me into the familiar house, and I immediately saw Jess standing in the kitchen by herself.
“See ya later.” - you
“Wait, don't sneak off yet. I wanna introduce you to some people.” - Joe
He directed me to the basement where we would make our rounds, Joe proudly introducing me as his wife over and over again.
“Bye, baby.” - you
“Bye, text me if you need me.” - Joe
“I will.” - you
Joe leaned down and gave me a quick peck before I made my way over to the stairs.
After finding Jess, she thanked me for coming, and we found ourselves deep in conversation.
——
“Wait so you just do it randomly?” - Jess
“Yup. I'll just feel like pranking him, and then I just find one to do.” - you
“Just like that?” - Jess
“Just like that.” - you
Jess laughed as she scrolled through my saved TikTok pranks.
“You should do one on him right now.” - Jess
“Ooo okay. Which one?” - you
After careful consideration of a few different pranks, Jess and I decided on one that would be easiest for us to do. It was a text prank.
Nice to meet you, where you been?
Uhm, in the same house that you're in…?
I could show you incredible things.
You do all the time, baby. 😊
Magic, madness, heaven, sin.
Sounds poetic.
Saw you there and I thought “OMG look at that face.”
Wait when? I'm confused.
You look like my next mistake.
I hope I'm not a mistake.
Love’s a game, wanna play?
We're professionals at that game when it comes to each other, Mama.
New money, suit and tie.
Is that what you want me to get with my extension???
I can read you like a magazine.
I know lol.
Ain't it funny? Rumors fly.
What rumors? Is it bad?
And I know you heard about me.
Heard what?
So hey, let's be friends.
We are already. You're my best friend and lover.
I'm dying to see how this one ends.
I hope it doesn't end, we’re forever.
Grab your passport and my hand.
Woah woah, where are we going that I’ll need a passport??
I can make the bad guys good for a weekend.
What the hell? I'm so lost. I'll be upstairs in a second.
Jess and I cackled as we typed and sent each message, soon Joe was striding into the dimmed living room with a confused look on his face.
“The hell was that?” - Joe
“A prank. It was song lyrics.” - you laughed
“It was my idea, so don't get mad at y/n.” - Jess
“Oh, I wasn't going to.” - Joe
“He can't get mad at me.” - you grinned
Joe jokingly rolled his eyes before plopping down next to me on the couch.
“What are you doing?” - you
“I’m already up here, might as well hang out with you for a bit.” - Joe
Jess smiled at me when Joe cuddled closer to me.
“I feel like I'm third wheeling in my partner’s house.” - Jess
“It's not my fault I'm better than Sam.” - Joe
“Joseph.” - you shoved him
“Am I lying?!” - Joe
————————————————————————-
Authors note: Next fic is at 8:15!!!
(I lost the request for this, but it was around the lines of “texting Joe the lyrics of Blank Space by Taylor Swift to see what he’d do”)
Helluva Broken Narrative 3. Wasted Romance.
So here I am for a 3rd time on this...I guess Broken Narrative...series? Because honestly this just came to my mind, that's also a big point
^ Links to the other 2 parts that I've written out.
DISCLAIMER: Not saying you can't enjoy the show. Enjoy it all you want, this again is just a rant about a lack of cohesive narrative.
Alright so this may be because of the Season 2 trailer that I'm writing this, but I really just...need to throw this out there because it again, has everything to do with the Narrative that has been told to us thus far for 2 and a half Seasons.
So we as the audience are suppose to believe that Blitz and Stolas are going to end up together, but here's the thing. There's no reason for them Narratively to be together. Putting aside the fact that thanks to Season 2, Blitz and Stolas has ZERO reason to interact at all as I labeled out in my previous posts above.
The two have zero chemistry, they have nothing in common as far as personal hobbies and for all of S1 and it seems in S2, Stolas has treated him like complete shit. From what I've gathered in S2, Stolas is apparently going to throw Blitz out and is pissed at him because.....reasons.
Yet I'm suppose to want these two together because....why? There is no narrative reason for them to be together, people wanna say "you need to wait, you need to wait, you need to wait!"
WAIT FOR WHAT?! It's been 2 and a half Seasons worth of content. What we're suppose to wait all the way to Season 3? If that's the case, then this is laughable and shows how terrible the writing is, it also shows that the two should never be together if we're having to wait this long.
You're suppose to gradually put building blocks if you want a relationship to pan out in a series. The writing for 2 whole Seasons involving Blitz and Stolas, haven't done that and in fact Season 2 made things even worse for Season 1 and from where I'm sitting....it doesn't get any better.
Why should Blitz want to be with Stolas, after the way he's been treated? No one in their right mind would want to be with someone who's talked down to him, who's hung their livelihoods over their heads and who thinks so very little of his own species.
Oh but here's the kicker folks, here's something that will be quite a shocker! As I've explained in my posts above, you can write Stolas completely out of the show now thanks to Season 2, he's a pointless character. But you wanna know who you can't write out of the show? Wanna know who is an important character for Blitz?
Tumblr media
VEROSIKA MAYDAY!
Wanna know why? Well first we have to turn back the clock to Season 1. See while Season 2 retroactively and continues to make things worse for the Blitz and Stolas dynamic and Season 1 just in general showed that they need to be so far away from one another, they should be in separate dimensions.
Let's see....we have had basically...what 9 episodes showing Blitz and Stolas' dynamic across 2 whole Seasons and I've gotten nothing other than they are terrible to eachother and have nothing in common/no chemistry.
But within a single Season and within....3 EPISODES! I have more of a Narrative reason to want Blitz and Verosika to reconcile and get back together. But let's explore those 3 episodes, shall we?
S1 EP 3, Spring Broken= Introduced to Verosika, Blitz stated that they had a lengthy relationship/dated for awhile, he took her car and credit cards.
^ This episode gives us an introduction to who they were to one another, showcases that the pair had a genuine relationship and it was Blitz who ended it. It also shows that Verosika has a tattoo of his name on her arm, signifying that he was very important to her.
S1 EP 6, Truth Seekers= In Blitz' hallucination, he comes across Verosika who is crying, crawling towards him, stating that "you just push away anyone who tries to get close to you!"
^ This brief sequence tells us that Verosika really did care/loved him, in that she was just wanting to help him, to understand him, to be there for him.
S1 EP 7, Ozzie's= Verosika again appears, saying that he was selfish in bed and calls him a heartbreaking freak, leaning into him, with Blitz looking guilty. Later on after, Blitz is scrolling through his phone and there's a picture of him and Verosika, clearly in a public area and she wearing a dress with the word NO over the crotch. This implying that she only wanted Blitz and no one else.
^ This sequence shows basically...everything that the prior 2 episodes told us and even moreso, that Verosika truly did love and care for him before he pushed her away. Blitz clearly looking guilty about what he had done to her.
So 3 episodes, 2 of which weren't even a focus on them, gives me much more of a reason to support them because the Narrative....didn't try to hamfist it. It was far more natural in building up than whatever they are trying to do with Blitz and Stolas, which in turn ends up breaking the Narrative entirely and making Stolas a pointless character for the show.
Now I'm sure Season 2 is going to no doubt, turn Verosika on her head as a character...just to support Stolas and to show Blitz that he is the one for him, but sorry...they really can't write their way out of it. Not that the writing has been able to do so anyway.
Yet the funny thing is? Verosika will be far more important to Blitz than Stolas ever will be and why? Because the Narrative tells and shows us this, she is an important part of Blitz' past, not just relationship wise either.
Verosika Mayday connects with Blitz that connects him to every single other part of his past due to his insecurities within himself and how he should be a better person to others. She actually can help him with that, if the writing allowed for it, she could actually help him mend his past relationships, since Verosika not only knows Fizzarolli, but also knows Barbie(due to rehab), though I know Blitz already reconciled with Fizz, I'm just saying this as more of a Narrative hook.
People wanna say this show has such 'complex and deep characters/writing' yet I really have a hard time seeing that, when S1 is basically broken. Oh but they also wanna say that "it's just a cartoon" or "It's not that serious!"
No...no folks, you can't say one thing and then say another that completely contradicts the other thing.
A show is like a house, S1 is the foundation and if that foundation is broken....then the whole show is. Characters and plot points have been made useless thanks to S2.
Yet Verosika, will always be important for Blitz as a character and to see this get wasted? Is a real shame.
The real waste though is that Season 1 had set it up, to where....they could have written it as Blitz and Stolas realizing that they need to confront those that they've hurt. That Blitz needs to confront those and reconcile with those of his past, to become a better person.
On Stolas' end, he has to confront both his wife and daughter before he loses them forever...before he loses his whole family. Something which mind you, is REALLY RELATABLE for many in the world, because many don't want their Families to split up. But of course as I've outlined in posts above, they just completely wasted Stolas' Family.
They had a great S1 story hook for both of them...and they fumbled the ball.
Anyway folks, this is the 3rd and probably last bit of Broken Narrative I make...so enjoy!
23. Would it be okay?
Tumblr media
“Hey, sunshine!" Claire greets Stevie as she slides behind the counter to put her apron on. Another white rose to put in her pink vase by her register, for the day.
"Hey, love. How are you?"
"I'm great! I see you are, too!" She pokes her side.
"A lot has happened."
"Like..." Claire trails off, waiting for her to continue.
"I went to go see my family in Cali, Rod got my name tattooed, uhh.."
“Wait, what?" Claire's eyes widened in surprise, her mouth ajar. "He got your name tatted?? Where??"
"On his neck, girl." Stevie leans back on the counter with a dreamy look in her eyes. "It looks so good."
"Wow... a chain and a tattoo! What kind of honey do you got between them thighs, gurl?"
Stevie covers her bosses mouth.
“You're just as reckless as he is!"
Claire swats her hand and cackles, her eyes flickering toward the door as a customer walks through.
"You're safe, for now. I'm taking you to lunch and we're gonna continue this little conversation." Stevie groans, before throwing herself into work.
Three hours and a stained apron later, Stevie finishes off her coffee cake and joins Claire in her brand new white Jeep.
"Ooh, this is new!" Stevie exclaims, sliding into the cheetah lined passenger seat.
"Bought it, last week, actually!" Claire cheeses, flicking the black ice air freshener, hanging on her mirror. She turns her car on and pulls out of the parking lot.
"Black people and black ice! Jesus!" Stevie face palms.
"I had to! You don't have one in your car??"
"No... is that bad?"
"Nah. If your car smells good, you don't need it."
"Rod's got one in his car. It's the new car scent one."
"Such a man," Claire snickers.
"Same thing I said!" She laughs, folding her hands in her lap. "So, where are we going to eat?"
"Melrose's. She's got the best cuban I've ever tasted." Claire dances in her seat.
"I've always wanted to taste one. They're really good?"
"Yes!" she pats Stevie's leg. "One thing you gotta learn about me is that food is my favorite— second to Bianca, of course."
"I'm learning! How's she, by the way?"
"She's great. She went back home to see her parents and left me all alone for a week. It's so boring."
"Oh, I'm sure you make good use of your time. It can't be that bad." Stevie laughs.
"Well, how did you feel when you went out of town to go see your folks? Didn't you go by yourself?"
"Rod actually went with me." Stevie says before pursing her lips.
"Y'all make me sick. Seriously."
"I'm sorry! But, come on... you don't have anything to occupy your time??"
"Not really!" Claire frowns, "it's just me and Biscuit. Little fucker’s just as sad as I am. Bianca and I take turns calling each other, but it's not the same. I mean, I'm glad she can go see them, but I miss her."
"You're making me sad, Claire. Hopefully the week goes by quickly for you." Claire sighs in response.
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
"I'm stuffed." Stevie says, popping another potato chip in her mouth.
"You liked the sandwich, I see." Claire laughs.
"I did! Me and pickles have a love/hate relationship, but it was tolerable. Thanks for lunch, boo."
"Anytime! Now, back to the lot that has happened..." she trails off.
"Oh boy, I knew you were gonna do that," Stevie laughs.
"I went to see my family in Cali. I haven't been there since my grandma died. So, that was something that I had obviously been putting off, but it wasn't bad and I actually ended up having a good time. They fell in love with Rod, of course. Then, we came back and got back into the swing of classes, which hasn't been too bad, either— oh! I actually dropped a bunch of them and I get to graduate early, now!"
"Really?? I'm so happy for you! You've been talking about that forever!"
"I know! It's a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, I tell you. This bachelors degree better pay off!"
"It will! I feel it!" They laugh, before falling into a comfortable silence.
"Can I ask you a question?" Stevie asks.
"Sure, wassup?"
"You ever feel like you're moving really fast in your relationship, but it feels fine at the same time?"
"In the beginning, yeah. That's kinda normal."
"Are we still considered a “new couple”, though?"
"No," Claire laughs, “you guys are basically married, at this point."
"But, where's this coming from?" She asks.
"I don't know... it's just something I've been thinking about. We've been through a lot, since the beginning of our relationship and I just don't wanna jump the gun on anything, even though I feel like we've already done that."
"Well, you guys are different, like any couple, there's different circumstances and understandings. If both of you know what it is, it doesn't matter how anybody else views the pace of your relationship. Y'all are joined at the hip and that's perfectly fine."
"You're right.”
"I know." Claire winks.
Stevie balls up a napkin and tosses it at her head.
"First and last time I ever tell you that."
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
Finally getting off work, Stevie drags herself upstairs and plops down on her own bed, for a change.
"Ugh, I missed my bed!" She sighs to herself, reaching over to turn her lamp on. She gets up and strips out of her work clothes, throwing on one of Rod's T-shirts, fitting her like a dress.
"Alright, let's see." She grabs her notebook off her nightstand and opens up to a clear page, letting her pen glide across.
Would it be okay?
If I stayed around.
If I got comfortable, in your presence.
Slip into your shadows,
Keep you safe.
Would it be okay?
If I loved you more than life.
If I screamed it to the heavens,
Even though God, herself, already knew?
Destiny. Fate.
I can't hide it.
 Would it be—
Folding the top corner, she yawns and closes her book and lays back down, knocking out in minutes.
An hour later, she's woken up by Rod gently massaging the balls of her feet. Rubbing her eyes, she lazily stares in his direction.
"Hey,"
"You look like a little kid, when you wake up," he chuckles, bending down to kiss her ankle.
"Am I cute kid?"
"Mhm. I hope our babies look just like you." He says, making her heart skips a beat.
"Here I am, hoping they'll look like you." She laughs. "How was your day?"
"Tiring as hell. My first night closing up went smooth, but it's so much I had to do, before I could get outta there. If it wasn't worth it, I'd fight somebody." He shakes his head.
"I'm sorry, baby. Here," she pulls her feet out of his grasp and pats the middle of the bed. "I'll rub your back."
Plopping face first into her pink pillow, he makes himself comfortable. She giggles at the sight, actually grabbing her disposable camera and snapping a picture.
"Whatchu gigglin' ‘bout, girl?" His muffled voice aids her laughter.
"Nothing.”
Mounting his lower back, she starts in the middle, working out a knot on the left side. "Pressure fine?"
"Mhm.”
"Okay... I wrote another piece, today."
"Yeah? Have you decided on which one you wanna perform, yet?" He asks.
"I might just do this one. It flowed so naturally."
"Can I read it?"
"No, it's a surprise!" She whines, pressing her thumb into the base of his neck.
"Mngh. I thought I was special, babygirl?"
"Nope. That's not gonna work on me, tonight. Your special ass better be front and center, when I get on that stage."
He laughs. "I told you, I wouldn't miss it for the world. When are you planning on doing it?"
"I'm not sure, yet. Soon, though."
He nods, fully relaxing under her touch, soon falling asleep. Smiling to herself, she slides off his back and snuggles into his side, burying her face in his neck.
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
"You really like this dude, huh?" Rod asks Tyler.
"I really do! He's so sweet." Tyler blushes.
"He better be."
"Usually I wouldn't care, cause I don't keep them around, but, I wanna do something right, this time, you know?"
"Yeah, I feel you. As long as you're happy, that's all that matters. Let him know that I fight." He points at her, while backing up.
"Will do." She salutes him. "So, does that make you like big brother or something?"
"Hell yeah! You got me in your corner, shorty."
"Thanks," she gives a soft smile, "for everything, seriously."
"You're welcome, spud." He jogs upstairs, finding Stevie on her computer.
"Whatchu doin', babe?"
"Getting back to my guidance counselor. I need to know how many credits I have, to see how many I need to graduate in February."
"Ah. Aren't you glad you listened to Tyler? You get to get outta there, super early."
"I know! I didn't even know I could graduate this early in advance, but dropping those extra classes made it possible."
"See!, instead of us leaving you, we all get to graduate at the same time." He chuckles, kissing her cheek.
"Josh and Jay are in town tonight, so I'm gonna go hang out with them for a couple hours. I'll be back before–"
"Why're you giving yourself a curfew?" She turns around in her chair, staring up at him.
"Well, I don't wanna just waltz in here, super late, I feel like that's rude."
"Well, if it were a night where I was staying home, I'd agree with you, but I've got plans, too."
"Yeah? Where you headed?"
"Back to the poetry club, so I can talk to Suga and show her my work, see when I can set up a time to perform it."
He kneels in front of her with a smile on his face.
"Alright, my talented ball of sunshine. Be safe. Call me if you've got any problems, okay?"
"Will do," a couple quick pecks turns into a juicy kiss, leaving her giggling against his lips.
"Okay, okay! Get out, before I cuff you to my bed." He grunts.
"Shit, let me call the fellas, right now." They both laugh and stand up.
"You're so foolish."
"You encourage it, baby. But seriously, have fun. I know you're gonna get your drink on— is Tyler going, too?"
"Yeah, she's got another date, tonight. I actually gotta help her pick out an outfit. She's kinda nervous."
"Yeah, we talked, earlier. She really likes ol' dude."
"He's such a sweetheart! If you met him, you'd like him, too."
"Yeah well, as long as she's happy, that's all that matters. You two have fun tonight."
"You guys, too. Tell your friends I said hello."
"Will do. I love you." He kisses her forehead, then her lips twice more.
"I love you, more."
The pair head out of the room; Rod downstairs and Stevie into Tyler's room, where she's frantically throwing an outfit together.
"Okay, what about this? Since it's cold as shit outside, I can wear my black jeans— you know, the ones that make my butt look fantastic?” Stevie nods. “Okay those, with either the v-cut bodysuit or the purple crop top and throw my oversized jacket over it."
"Do the oversized look, that's cute!"
"Okay. Chunky heels?"
"Definitely."
"Okay, I'm gonna get ready."
"Same. I'll meet you downstairs."
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
Stepping back into Stevie's new favorite place, she heads straight for the bar, while Tyler heads towards a table where her new boo is waiting on her.
“Have fun!” She calls after her friend.
“You too!” She calls back.
"Hey, beautiful!" Suga greets her with a hug, sitting on the stool beside her.
"Hey, girl!"
"Oooh, is that it??” She points to the book that sits on the countertop.
"It is! You wanna read it??"
"Hell yeah!"
Stevie opens up to the page and sits it in front of Suga, nervously watching her eyes dance across the page.
"Oh, Stevie..." she says, pressing a hand to her chest.
"You hate it, don't you?" Stevie frowns.
"Wha— no!! This is beautiful!"
"Really? It's not too mushy or anything?"
"Babe, you worry too much. It's perfect. I wish I had a love like this poem!" Suga exclaims, making Stevie blushes.
"Okay, stop it!"
"Seriously! I've never been jealous of words, until now."
"My cheeks are gonna fall off my face, if you don't stop!"
"Okay, I quit. When do you wanna perform it??"
"Like, within the next week or so would be great! Ya know, before I lose the nerve."
"Okay! Let me go grab Carmen. She's the owner."
"Okay, cool! Thank you!”
As Stevie's waiting to meet the illustrious Carmen, her eyes trail over to Tyler in order to get a glimpse of how well her date is going, and her jaw hits the ground at what she sees.
Chris is lifted from his seat slightly to meet Tyler's lips in a lip lock that feels steamy, even at a distance.
"Alright, now," Stevie remarks quietly as she sips her tropical lemonade.
Her people watching continues for a few moments more, taking in the melanated group of lovers and friends alike.
"Hey, Stevie," Suga catches her attention, causing her to swivel in her seat in the direction of her voice, "this is Carmen."
She's greeted with a caramel-toned woman in her mid-20s, with a head full of shocking red curls and delicate features.
"Suga's told me so much about you! It's nice to finally meet you." Her voice is just as delicate.
"Likewise," she responds. "This is definitely one of my favorite places to be."
Her smile is warm, yet lights up the room. "I'm glad. I hear you're ready to get up on that stage. Now I hope you don't mind, but Suga let me take a glimpse at the piece you're thinking about performing, and girl it's dope! Made we wanna love on somebody."
Stevie blushes a deep crimson at the compliment, chuckling softly.
"Thanks. It's unfinished actually."
"Well sweetheart, whenever it's finished you're more than welcome to a spot on our night for new talent."
Stevie has butterflies of excitement and nervousness when she hears that.
"You're serious?" Stevie asks, just to make sure this isn't some cruel joke.
"As serious as serious can get, baby doll. You got something special."
Her heart soars and her cheeks flush once again, not used to the profuse amount of love for her craft.
"I can't thank you enough, Carmen. I won't let you two down," she says, addressing the two women.
"I know," Carmen winks. She quietly excuses herself to make her rounds around the place.
Stevie thanks Suga one more time, before she decides to not be a third wheel in Tyler's budding romance and take the train back home.
She walks the easy block and a half to the nearest station, taking in the full-bodied sounds of the city that have become music to her over the years.
Descending the concrete steps, she's greeted with a scent she'll probably never get used to, muttering all the money this damn city makes, and they can't scrub the piss smell outta here.
She looks left to right, and makes sure the coast is clear. She hops the turnstile like it's a hurdle, as if the heels she wears are tennis shoes.
Her timing is impeccable as the trusty red line subway car pulls up right as the toe of her shoe hits the yellow line.
Stepping on, she thanks the man upstairs that it's not crowded. Clutching onto the pole, she quietly hums as the train starts moving.
Feeling like she's being watched, she turns her head in the direction of the perpetrator, his coal black eyes scanning her body, making her feel like she needs a shower.
Her skin prickling up with anxiety as every bad memory, attached to a man, comes flooding back to her. A chill rushes up her spine as her brain screams run.
Her eyes become trained on the doors, as the insides of her hands clam up. Her curiosity leads her eyes back towards the man. The tattoo on his hand caused her mind to race.
Her heart starts beating triple time as the train continues to take its sweet time getting to its first stop.
She can feel his eyes on her as she keeps her gaze forward.
"It's okay... we'll get off soon." She whispers to herself.
Coming to a stop, she watches a couple of people get off, before coolly walking off behind them. She peers over her shoulder, watching him flash a smirk her way but stay on the train.
As the train whizzes away into the darkness, a rush of relief comes over her as she heads towards the street. Grabbing her phone out of her purse, she calls Rod.
He picks up on the first ring. "Hey, baby. You good?"
"Yeah, I'm okay. I just— I don't know. I had a moment, I guess." She walks into the nearest corner store.
"What do you mean, a moment?"
"I had the bright idea to take the train back home and there was this guy that kept staring at me. He looked so much like John and I don't know... I just freaked out, so I got off a helluva lot earlier than I should have."
"Baby, where are you?"
"Chuey's food mart. But, listen, you don't have to come and get me. I can call a cab or—"
“For what? It's almost ten o'clock. It's too dark for you to be catching cabs, when I can just come and get you."
"But, you're out with your boys!" She sighs as she heads down an aisle, "I feel like I'd be cutting your night short."
"We can meet up, whenever. Your safety is more important to me, right now." He assures her.
"Okay."
"Ima catch y'all later, aight?... yeah, gotta get my shorty to the crib... aight, baby girl. I'm on my way."
"Alright." She hangs up and walks around the spacious store, picking up a couple snacks along the way.
Ten minutes go by, and she's standing in front of the many candy choices, when the chimes go off near the front and the sound Rod's car keys fill her ears.
Passing by a couple of people, she spots the back of his head as he searches for her. Catching up to him, she tugs on his jacket.
He turns around and the worried crease in his forehead disappears as he pulls her into his chest, a heavy sigh leaving him.
"You're smushing my snacks!" She giggles as he rocks her side to side. "Rod!"
A soft laugh escapes her as he pulls away to hold her face in his hands.
"Seems like you missed me."
"Hell yeah! I was worried about you, girl."
"I didn't mean to worry you." She frowns.
"It's okay, baby. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm glad you're here." She links her finger in his jacket pocket. "Did you speed?"
"Maybe, a little. I ain't wanna waste no time– leave an opportunity for something bad to happen, ya know?"
"Yeah,” she sighs, “thanks for coming to get me. I appreciate you."
She stands on her tiptoes, staining his lips with her gloss.
"It's never a problem, babygirl." He grabs the snacks out of her hands to carry himself.
"Let's see what we got here," he announces from behind her as she walks down another aisle. "Salt and vinegar chips— ah, the chip of choice! We got some sno balls... some hostess cupcakes. Hm, you on your period?"
"You know," she abruptly turns around, making him bump into her, "I hate that you know me that well. And, no I've got like another week, I think."
"Well, it'd be dumb if I didn't pick on something, at this point," he chuckles. "And, you think?"
"Yeah... what's today?"
"The fifteenth. I only know that, ‘cause my milk expired today."
"I hope you threw it away."
"I will, when I get home."
She scoffs. "Anyway. It usually comes on the twentieth."
"Oh, okay. Oh yeah! What did they say about you performing?"
"I'm gonna perform on their night for new talent," a cheesy smile makes its way onto both of their faces.
"That's amazing! When??" He asks.
"Friday! Can you make it?"
"Hey, I told you that I would be there. I might have to tie Lee to his chair for a few hours," he says, making Stevie roll her eyes at his antics, "but, I'll be there."
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
For the past fifteen minutes, Stevie has been pacing back and forth, rehearsing her poem.
To say she's nervous is definitely an understatement. If it wasn't a guarantee that Rod would be able to make it to her performance, she might've went insane.
"Okay, Nikki Giovanni, you ready?” Tyler walks into her room, fiddling with the cuffs on her black button-down.
Stevie scoffs at the name. "Don't give me that much credit. You think Nikki got this nervous, before her performances?"
"Duh. Everybody's susceptible to being nervous. You're gonna kill it, alright? Don't stress.” She assures her, rubbing her shoulder.
"Thanks. How do I look?"
"Like you wanna end up pregnant, by the end of the night."
Stevie rolls her eyes, turning back to the mirror.
"What?? You asked." Tyler defends.
"Yes. Cause, a simple “you look good” wouldn't have sufficed."
"Well, that was my way of saying it. But, okay you look so damn good, friend!  Are you ready, now?" Tyler asks, smirking at the middle finger she gave her through the mirror.
"Yeah.” She sighs, reaching for her coat and bag. “Let's go, before I hide under my bed."
“Oh my god!” Tyler cackles, pushing her out of the room and down the steps.
Fifteen minutes later, Rod heads backstage, finding Stevie knocking back a shot of Brandy. As she fixes her skirt, he slides up behind her, waving the pink roses in her line of sight.
"For you, beautiful."
The gasp she lets out makes him laugh. She turns around and throws her arms around his neck.
"Thank you, baby! And, thank God, you're here. I've been going absolutely crazy for the last hour!"
"I thought you said you weren't nervous?" He sits the flowers on the table and rubs her shoulders.
"Well, I wasn't! Until I re-realized that I'd be speaking in front of a bunch of strangers and now I'm terrified. What if I mess up? What if they don't like it, you know? What if I vomit on stage, like I did when I was younger??" She spirals, wide-eyed.
"Hey, look at me." He cups her chin, her wandering orbs lining up with his. "You're gonna go out there and do amazing. You're not gonna mess up. It's normal to be nervous. It's your first time. But, you've got this. Your poetry is phenomenal. Anybody would be a fool to dislike it."
"You really mean that?" She asks.
"Every word."
A playful pout graces her lips as she kisses him.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Now, can I get something off my chest, right quick?" He asks with a heavy breath.
Her freshly waxed left brow raises.
"What?"
"You look so fucking good, vie.”
She blushes, instantly.
“Yeah?” Her voice came out small.
“Mm, smell good, too. Do a spin for me,” he steps away from her, watching her twirl.
Her curls bounced underneath her brown fur hat, skin shimmering in her matching off the shoulder top and pants, chunky heels to set the look off. Mascara, her signature lip and scent combo.
"Mm.. whatever you want, you can have it."
"Shut up!" She laughs as he pulls her back to him.
"I'm serious."
"Anything, huh?"
"Mhm., my car, my crib, money... last name, kids.." their lips naturally reunite in heat, squashing her nerves and almost making her forget about her whereabouts.
"Rod," her hands slide up his chest.
"Hm?"
"It's almost time for me to go on," she mumbles, giggling at his relentless pecks.
"Aight. you still nervous?"
"No, but I've gotta redo my lipstick, now." She shakes her head, wiping it off his mouth.
"My bad, shorty. I can't get enough, sometimes."
"Hey, Stevie!— oh, I'm sorry. I'll come back.
They turn to look at Suga in the doorway, before snickering.
"No, you're fine! Suga, this is my boyfriend, Rod. Rod, this is Suga."
"It's nice to meet you! I've heard nothing but wonderful things." They shake hands.
"Likewise. I appreciate you helpin' my girl out and getting her up on this stage."
"It's no problem. She's a super talented woman."
"That, she is." His gaze lingers on Stevie, making her swoon at the sight.
"So cute! I just came to tell you that we've got a couple minutes. You all set to go?"
"Yeah, let me fix my makeup, really quick." She rushes over towards her bag to reapply.
"Ima go grab my seat." he walks over and kisses the top of her head. "You're gonna do amazing."
"Thank you, baby." She smiles.
He mirrors her expression, before heading out to the front.
"Where'd you find him? He got any brothers?" Suga asks, sitting on the leather couch.
“That he does, let me find out you tryna get the hook up,” Stevie laughs, turning towards her once she's done.
“Hook me up, girl!” Suga joins in, before standing to her feet. “You ready?”
"I am! Let's do this."
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
“Alright y'all, give it up for our next newcomer, Stevie!”
The applause makes Stevie smile as she emerges from behind the curtain and takes Suga's spot on the stage.
"Thanks," she nervously pushes a curl behind her ear. "I'm a little nervous, so bear with me. This piece is called Would it be okay? It's a personal piece of mine. I'm actually really excited to share it with y'all, so I hope y'all enjoy it." Her eyes set on Rod, sending a wink his way.
A soft light graces her physique as she calms herself and begins speaking.
Would it be okay?
If I stayed around.
If I got comfortable, in your presence.
Slip into your shadows,
Keep you safe.
Would it be okay?
If I loved you more than life.
If I screamed it to the heavens,
Even though God, herself, already knew?
Destiny. Fate.
I can't hide it.
Would it be okay?
If I was scared...
If I wanted you to hold me in your arms.
Shield me from my troubles.
Would it be okay?
If making love to you was my favorite pastime.
Your lips on mine.
Your breath on me.
Your touch.
Your taste.
Would it be okay?
If I wanted to live in your skin.
Would it be okay?
The whistles, snaps and cheering pulls her out of the locked gaze that her and Rod were locked in.
She gracefully bows and heads offstage, immediately getting pulled into a bear hug from Tyler and Suga.
"Can I just say.... wow!” Tyler claps.
"You did amazing!! I mean, I knew you had potential, but the way you commanded everybody's attention up there?? That was a sight to see." Suga praises.
"Thanks, you guys! It felt great to finally get up there. That was a rush!” She laughs.
"I think someone else enjoyed it, too." Rod clears his throat, making his way around the girls to the other side of Stevie, flowers back in hand.
"Again," he laughs, "these are for you. You did absolutely amazing." The twinkle in his eyes makes her melt.
"Thank you, baby." Grabbing the bouquet from him, she holds them close to her chest, blushing underneath his gaze.
"Ugh, this feels like high school love!” Tyler faux sobs, earning a collective sucking of the teeth from the pair.
"Go find your boyfriend and leave me alone, ty." Stevie says with a roll of the eyes.
"Ah, she's conquered her stage fright and now she's being feisty. You're on a roll, tonight." She winks.
"You two are a mess," Rod adds with a chuckle.
"Indeed. Come on, Tyler. You two can fight, later." Angel hooks their arms and leads them towards the other side of the club.
Rod leads Stevie towards their table, pulling out her chair for her. "What do you want to drink?"
"You know, cosmos have become my favorite, as of late." She cheeses.
"Comin' right up." He winks, heading towards the bar.
"Hey, pretty lady!" Chad stops at her table. "You did amazing!"
"Oh, thank you!"
"No problem. You got some serious talent."
"I appreciate that. It was nerve racking, getting up there, but I'm glad I finally did it."
"So, you gonna make this a regular thing? The crowd loved you."
"It's always been my dream!, it'd be kinda stupid if I didn't. I'm gonna talk to Carmen—"
"Consider it done. I'll run it by her and get back to you. Sound good?"
"Hell yeah!," she jumps in her seat, laughing.
"Aight, good! You know, if you start gettin' real good, we start paying you."
"Really??, that sounds amazing." Rod comes back to the table with drinks in hand, his gaze on Chad.
"Hey, man." Chad greets him.
"Wassup.," he gives a stiff nod.
"Ya girl is pressure, no denyin' it. I just came to congratulate her on her debut night."
"I appreciate y'all lettin' her shine, up there."
"A diamond shines everywhere she goes.," Stevie slightly chokes on her drink at his corniness, covering it up with a small laugh. "You two enjoy the rest of your night. I'll see you, soon." He pats her shoulder and walks away.
"What was y'all talking about?" His gaze shifts to her, chuckling at the little dance she's doing in her seat to faint music playing.
"He's gonna talk to Carmen and see if I can make this a regular thing., and if I start getting really good, they'll start paying me." She cheeses, sipping on her drink.
"Really?," his eyes light up, "that's amazing, baby." He rubs her knee.
"Isn't it? I could stop working at Claire's, even though, I love her so much, I could!"
"You could. You should tell her, I'm sure she'd be happy for you."
"Yeah, I'll tell her when I go in, tomorrow."
"What time you gotta be there?"
"Three."
He nods, bringing his drink up to his lips. Her eyes dance over his face as the knowing smirk comes out to play, once his glass returns to the table.
"I'm gonna put you in time out." She folds her arms on the table, leaning towards her drink.
"Why?"
"Because, you keep putting me out of commission," they share a laugh.
"You so fine, I can't help it." He wets his bottom lip, making her bite her own.
"Trouble, is what you are." She speaks lowly, shaking her head.
The hand that's on her knee starts to walk up her thigh, spreading out to cuff her flesh. "And somehow... you're at the center of it, every time."
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
Heavy breathing can be heard throughout the dimly lit bedroom.
His lips sliding off hers, taut ass in her grip with every stroke grazing against her spot, driving her crazy.
"Oh shhhit!," her whines float through the air as he digs deeper, while nipping at her soft skin.
"Wanna live in my skin, huh?" He rasps in her ear.
"Yes, baby," she breathily whimpers.
Coming back into her line of view with his hand slowly gripping her neck, his lips hover over he own.
"Tell me you love me," he mumbles, tugging at her bottom lip.
"Unh...I love you," her jaw slacks as he picks up his pace, stimulating her spot with more pressure. Her hands grip his biceps, tightly.
"Say it, again."
"I love you, shit!.... that feels so good," she moans, her legs wrapping around his waist.
"Say it again, baby," he reaches his free hand in between them to rub her clit, her hand quickly gripping his wrist.
"I love you," she whimpers, staring into his eyes.
“Fuck, I love you vie.”
He leans up and speeds up, her hands find the back of his neck as her eyes roll back.
"You're gonna make me cum!"
"Mhm, cum on this dick."
A whine like no other leaves her lips as her eyes roll back, her walls tighten around him as her orgasm jolts through her, leaving her entire body thumping.
A chill rushes up his spine as he brings his thrusts to a halt.
"Fuck..” he moans, leaning down to kiss her lips as she comes down enough to reciprocate, her tongue finding his own.
He grunts and pulls away, flipping her over. With her ass high in the air, his palm quickly reddens her flesh and makes her leak down her thighs, double time.
"Look at that." His thumb circles her clit, her body seizing up at his touch. "Makin' a mess all over my sheets, girl." His mouth salivates at the sight of her nectar leaking down her leg.
"Mmf," she bites her lip, "don't tease me, baby..."
Lining back up with her sticky entrance, he pushes into her roughly, earning a heavy gasp from her.
"Oooh, shit!"
Picking up his tempo, he adds a roll of his hips, sending her clawing at his thigh with one hand and clawing at the sheets with the other.
"Oh shit, oh shit! Oh fuck!" Her thighs tremble as her orgasm creams onto his already soaked shaft.
"That's right," his grip tightens on her waist. "Soak that dick."
Pulling out, he taps his dick against her clit before pushing back in, picking up where he left off.
"Unh! s-slow down," she grasps his thigh.
Doing just that, he wraps an arm around her, gripping her neck. Her hands find the sheets, gripping them up as he sensually wines his hips into her.
"Just like that.... oh, babyyy!"
Nose deep in her sweet-smelling hair, his moans become more frequent, turning her on. She begins to meet him halfway, adding more friction.
"Shit, vie... feel like a fucking dream." His free hand slaps her ass as he tries to regain control. Reaching back, she digs her nails into his hip.
"Fuck!— ugh! Unh! Just like that!"
Digging deeper, her eyes roll back and her moans increase in volume.
"Just like this?"
"—yes!”
Her thighs quiver as she tries to push him away, the pleasure becoming too much. Grabbing her wrists and binding them behind her back, he continues.
"Take it, then."
Her moans are muffled as her face hides in the cover. Eyes shut tightly as her body tightens up, a breathy curse leaving her lips.
"Shit..." he moans, pulling out slowly and pushing back in, their breathing falls in sync as the heat in the room rises.
Releasing her wrists, he pulls her up in his lap as she leans up on her hands.
One hand in her curls and the other wrapped around her neck, his strokes start off curt. Her brows furrow as her moans fill his ears.
"Oh fuck! Oh fuck," fingers gripping the sheets, her toes curl at the intensity of her pleasure.
"Say my name." He rasps.
"Rod," she yelps.
"Say it, again."
"Oh my God, Roderick!" She moans. "You're gonna make me c—cum!"
"Fuck... keep squeezin' me, baby."
"Oh my God... oh my God," her breath gets caught in her throat, while her climax rises to the surface. His own on the horizon with every stroke.
"Cum on this dick, baby.... I feel it.. give it to me," the gravel in his tone makes her soak his lap with a single squeal. His own orgasm forcing his body to fall slack on hers.
Flattening out underneath him, she laughs a bit, pushing her hair out of her face, while he repositions himself to not totally crush her, even though she didn't mind.
"Wanna know something?" He asks, intertwining their fingers, his beard tickling the bare skin of her shoulder as he places kisses there.
"What?"
"Makin' love to you is my favorite pastime, too." He replies with a goofy grin, making her giggle.
Tiredly pulling the door open, Stevie heads in the back, stuffing her jacket in her locker. Taking her hair-tie off her wrist, she pulls her curls into a sloppy bun and heads back up front.
"Hey, girl," Rena waves, her and Alana studying her worn out expression.
She grabs her apron and glances at them.
"Hey, guys.”
"Are you alright?" Alana asks.
"Yeah, I'm just tired."
"Oh yeah! Your debut was last night. How'd it go?" Rena asks, excitedly.
"It went great.” Stevie smiles, leaning on the countertop.
"I was nervous as hell, but I made it through. Everybody really liked it. That also kinda made me kinda nervous, but also really happy.” She laughs.
"Aw, that's so great! I'm so happy for you!" Alana says.
"Yeah, that's amazing," Rena adds, "did you celebrate?"
"Yeah, and I probably shouldn't have."
"Why not?"
"Well, I've got a hangover and I was almost late." She sighs.
"Relax, sweet cheeks," Claire comes out of her office. "I know last night was super important to you. I wouldn't have tripped."
"Thanks, Claire."
"Of course. Did your rock head of a boyfriend like it?"
Stevie laughs. "He liked it more than anybody else."
"Oh, that's why ya ass was limpin' when you came in," Rena mumbles, before tending to a customer.
Stevie rolls her eyes. "Maybe you should get laid."
"Relax," Rena defends. "I was just playing around."
"Mm... Anyway," she turns back towards Claire.
"I've gotta talk to you, later. It's super important."
Claire excuses them, pulling them into her cozy office.
"So, how was your night?" She asks.
"It was great! I was so nervous, but the reassurance that I received mellowed me out. I got up on that stage and I knew, at that moment, that I belonged up there. It was amazing." Stevie gushes.
"That's incredible, babe. I gotta come and see you! I'm sad I missed the first one."
"That'd be great. I'd love for you to come!”
"Let me know when your next performance is and I'll put it on my calendar. Now, what's this dilemma you've got going on?"
"Well, Carmen said that if I start getting really good, they'll start paying me." She says, twiddling her fingers.
"Really?? Oh, that's guaranteed money, then! I'm sure you're amazing!"
"Well, I think I'm alright—but, yeah! That's huge, right? I get paid to do what I love."
"Anybody's dream, yes. I'm not seeing an issue here."
"If I start getting paid there.. I could start doing that more often and not.. have to work here anymore."
"Absolutely. I would hope that you wouldn't pass up an opportunity of a lifetime, to serve coffee with some friends."
The sarcasm in her voice makes Stevie laugh.
"Did you think I was gonna be upset?"
"Well, maybe upset isn't the word."
"Well, it's gonna suck not having you here, but I'd never keep you from doing what you love. That's not a friend."
"This is true. Well, nothing's official, yet. You still have me."
"And, I'm delighted!"
“Okay,” she breathes. “I feel better now.”
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
Slinging her bag over her chair, Stevie turns her lamp on and sits down, opening up her poetry book.
Clicking her pen, she begins to write.
Love so amazing,
It outshines the moon.
Love so hot,
It burns brighter than the sun.
So intense,
It makes you blush.
So—
She smudges her writing as the ringing of her new house phone scares the mess out of her. Snatching the cordless phone off its base, without looking at the caller ID, she utters a slightly agitated hello.
"Ah, breaking the phone in with attitude, are we?" Rod's voice comes through.
"Well, you know, the ringer is extremely loud on this thing. Sorry for the attitude, I suppose."
"You suppose, huh? Guess we'll see about that, later."
"Whatever. How's work?" She asks, twirling a random strand of hair around her finger.
He laughs. "It's cool. I miss you."
"Aw, I miss you too. Want me to come by? I can bring you food, if you haven't eaten yet."
"I'd love that. Seeing your pretty face always brightens my mood." She blushes.
"Oh, stoppp," she drags out, closing her book and standing up from her chair.
"What do you want to eat?"
"Uh, how about pizza?"
"Alright. I'm gonna change and get the food, and I'll be there."
"Okay, babe. See you soon."
About thirty minutes later he hears the chime go off, Rod turns around to see Stevie walking through the door. He snickers at her wardrobe.
"You cold, babygirl?" He asks, gesturing towards his black sweatshirt swallowing her top half, while her black leggings cling to her bottom half.
"Yes!" Her teeth chatter as she sits the pizza box on the counter, rounding the counter to stuff her face into his chest. "It's windy as hell, out there."
"Aw," he coos, rubbing his warm hands over her back. "I'll turn the heat up."
"Thank you. Where do you want me to put this?" she points to the pizza box.
Moving away from her, he locks the door and hangs the sign, before grabbing the pizza from her.
"Follow me."
Following him into the second room on the right, she sits down at the black round table. He opens the box and pulls out a slice.
She follows suit, picking the pepperonis off and popping them in her mouth. He chuckles at the sight.
"One day, it's gonna land on your nose." He jokes. She rolls her eyes.
"Shut up. How's your day been?" He sits in the chair beside her, still munching on his food.
"It's actually been pretty dead in here, today. But, I'm not trippin. We still made sales for the day. How's your writing going?" He grabs a napkin and cleans his hands.
"Well, before you called me, I was in my zone," she laughs. "I think it'll be the next piece I perform."
"Look at you, all bright eyed and bushy tailed!" He teases, poking her cheek.
"You sound like an old man!" She jokes.
“Old?” He laughs, clutching his chest in faux hurt.
“Old as hell,” she nods.
"Alaina, I will throw you outta here." He chuckles.
"In the cold?? The disrespect."
"Yeah, well," he shrugs.
"Yeah, well," she mocks, throwing a balled up napkin at him.
"Keep it up." He stands from his chair, heading towards the soda machine, grabbing two cokes.
"Or what?"
"Ima let you find out."
༺═──────────────────────────────═༻
Plopping down on her bed, she stares at her clock, snorting as it reads 3:45 a.m.
"I'm gonna kill you." She groans, just as Rod waltzes into the room. Handing her a bottle of water, he sits down beside her.
"What did I do, besides what you asked me to?"
"I asked you to damn near break me in half?" She asks, an incredulous look on her face, making him crack up.
"Those weren't your exact words— but, yes, you were asking for it. Then, you didn't want me to stop."
She thanks God that the room is dark and the rosiness of her cheeks are concealed. "Anyway—"
"Mhm. That's what I thought."
"Anyways! Tyler and I are supposed to get our hair done tomorrow, because one of her cousins is getting married, and she asked Tyler at the last minute to be a damn bridesmaid— and for whatever reason, I have to be one, too."
"A wedding in the fall? Hm.. that's uh..”
"It's cold. That's the word you're looking for."
"What are the colors?"
"White and gold. The usual."
"You know what the dress looks like?"
"Not yet, no. I'll see it tomorrow."
"When's the wedding?"
"Saturday. I hope the wind doesn't blow us down."
"You're so dramatic, you know that?"
"I do. You're annoying— did you know that?" She smirks.
"I did," he joins in on the laughter.
"Good. Now, can we go to sleep?"
"Hey, we coulda been sleeping, a long time ago. But, someone wanted to ride around and smoke."
She scoffs and snatches her pullover off, along with her sweats and gets under the cover.
He laughs and follows suit, pulling her back into his chest. The warmth of his body made her turn in his hold and snuggle closer to him.
"Love you." She whispers.
"Love you too, you little brat."
Love so amazing,
It outshines the moon.
Love so hot,
It burns brighter than the sun.
So intense,
It makes you blush.
So genuine,
It makes your heart flutter.
Who knew it could all feel like a fairytale?
Who knew it could be this sweet?
Who knew love, like this, existed?
Who knew...
Oral fixation and/or Size difference???
Taking a mate that is not a spiderfolk is considered one of the worst taboos to his kind, but it is one that does wonderful things for his longevity of life and otherwise ensuring that his genitals stay intact for the rest of that long life. Besides, most other folk in the area that he calls home find the taboo of cannibalism to be more egregious, so they turn a blind eye to the fact that he has stolen away the pure-blood pedigree tom with fur so white that it blends in with the silk of his nest and eyes bluer than a cloudless summer sky. His perfect, forbidden mate.
His little, perfect, forbidden mate, who needs to be touched all over his body every morning so that he can move around in their nest without getting stuck to the webbing.
"Tomura," Dabi whines, his name half mangled on a yawn and bowing his back as he stretches against the sheets. He dips his head low so that he can press a kiss to the back of his neck. So pretty and thin. He can take it in one hand and nearly have his fingers meet around it. Fine bones under his skin, mottled with the strange purplish marks that the doctors can't explain, but that haven't seemed to hurt him. They've only made him more unique and beautiful with those lovely patterns swirling over his skin. He loves running a finger along the length of his spine, feeling each little bump of it. He loves how his hands can wrap around his waist, loves that he can catch both of Dabi's wrists in one hand, and still have one free to run up the inside of his thighs. He adores how beautifully small his kitten is compared to him.
"It's time to get up, precious." He murmurs. "I need to recoat your skin."
"Mmhmm, I'm sure that's all you want." Dabi presses his face tighter into the pillow, hugging it close like that alone will let him return to the embrace of dreams, but his tail shifts for him anyway, lifting up along his back and tilting to the side so that he is more fully exposed for him. Tomura chitters lowly with his approval as he moves two hands to his thighs so he can spread his legs wide and see his lover's cute pink hole. He takes his primary left hand and rubs three fingers against his palm, stimulating the oil gland in his skin until the fluid is pooling there and his fingers are dripping wet. He always marvels at how small his hole is when he starts to open him up. So little, but he can take his fingers, can take both of his cocks when he finally puts them inside. "Not sure how I would get your webs stuck to my asshole, Tomu."
"I'm just being thorough, precious." He teases right back, his sheath already starting to ache as blood moves south as he is able to easily slip his first finger inside of the other's body. His kitten lets out a little mewl and then starts to purr as he strokes along his soft, warm insides. Dabi is even warmer from sleep, his body pliant and ready for this part of their morning routine, and he opens so eagerly for his fingers. "You're doing such a good job, kitten. You always take me so well." He has three inside him now, his cock pressing out from his sheath just from seeing how he's stretched and hearing the way that Dabi moans. "Someday I'm going to find out how much you can have before it's too much. Maybe I'll keep my fingers inside as I fill you up with my cocks."
Dabi is already panting, trembling hard enough that Tomura can feel it spilling out across the webs all throughout their den, but he still manages to take a breath and say, "Yeah? What are you waiting for? Thought I was the only pussy here."
Tomura clicks, ignoring the attitude for the time being in favor of delighting at how his mate has given him permission to take what he wants from his body. He's so delicate compared to him, his skin covered in patches of his chitinous shell, his body bigger, his teeth sharper and capable of burning him with his digestive enzymes. But Dabi doesn't care. Dabi always wants to prove that he isn't small just because he's little compared to him. And he trusts Tomura not to hurt him even though to the rest of the world he looks like a monster. Tomura presses another kiss to the back of his neck and uses a hand to slick more of his oil along his lengths. "Alright, kitten. Let's see how much your cute little hole can take."
"What are you?" You asked fearfully, staring into the bright, dual colored eyes of the thing that tripped you.
"Hehe, you fall so easy, Shrimpy!" The cheerful creature chirped. Half his teal body was propped up by his arm across the sand while the other half splashed in the ocean waves.
On his lips there was a wide smile that revealed a gleaming set of razor sharp teeth.
"What are you?" You repeated more firmly.
The being swished his tail, splashing up mini waves behind him. "You're a long way from home, ya know. Only the sailors and merchants come out this far."
You pursed your lips, thinking of how to explain yourself.
It's true normal folk don't normally come out past the city walls, there was no real need too. But you had to come here. There was no way you'd spend another minute trapped on that small island with all the same people that you know all the mundane details and traumas of.
Just hijack a small ship with some food and supplies and you were out before anyone noticed you were missing.
Though, you couldn't just tell this thing that.
So you countered with, "Aren't you too? A long way from home I mean."
The creature laughed and pulled himself closer, dragging himself forward using only the strength of his upper body.
The serpent-like agility was very unusual and rather frightening. With a slight squeak, you crawled back, bumping into a rock.
"S-stay back!"
"Aw! Are ya scared, Shrimpy?"
"I swear, you stay back or I'll ... I'll ...."
"I'd like to get in a fight with a real human so do me a favor and give me all you got, hm."
You swallowed slowly, eyes bulging as you watched him.
The smile fell from his face and he let out a sigh. "You're so boring."
Now it was your turn to frown. "You aren't so fun yourself, you know."
"Say, what do you guys wear all those clothes for? They're the reason so many of you drown so fast."
"They're ... for modesty."
"They're stupid."
You narrowed your eyes at him. "Listen here, Mister, not everyone can afford to have scales and fins to cover our bodies. Clothes help us stay warm when it's cold and are a symbol of one's status."
"Haha, you guys can't even keep warm? Humans are so weak." The creature reached for the brown bag haging across his chest, pulling out a rusted fork. "What's this?"
"Huh?"
"What do you use it for? Jade thinks it's for your hair but that doesn't sound right to me."
"It's ... for when we eat. We pick up food with it."
He laughed and reached for something else. "You guys do too much. What's this one for?"
You reached for the small pipe he held, brushing off some soot. "I'm not sure you could use it all drenched like this, but people use it to, uh, to smoke."
"What's that mean? To smoke?"
You brushed your hands on your shirt and stood up. "Well, it's certainly been ... a day, meeting you. But I need to get going now. Good da-"
"Wait! You can't go now," the creature gripped onto your ankle to prevent your leaving. His grip was vicelike compared to when he tugged to trip you earlier. "You have things to show me."
"Like what?"
He released your ankle and proceeded to dump the contents of his bag at your feet.
"I really don't have time for this-"
"But you have to! I didn't come all this way just to see a human walk away." The being crawled up to your height, pulling himself up by bunching the fabric of your clothes.
You struggled under his weight and held him as best you could, without recoilling from the slimy feel of his skin.
"Okay, okay! I'll-I'll come back tomorrow to answer whatever weird questions you have. Just get off me."
You propped him against the rock behind you and backed away, brushing your clothes back into place.
"You're not gonna come back."
"What? O-of course I am."
"Promise?"
Briefly, you looked over your shoulder at the walled city you were trying to leave behind. Then to the not so far distance where boats swayed near the shore, waiting for their tether to be cut and released beyond the horizon.
You should have left the island sooner.
"... I'll be out here again."
"You better." He grinned. "Or else I'll have to come get you myself."
***
The next few days you spent going to that same corner of the island, meeting with the (what you now know to be) merman whose name was Floyd, and telling him everything he wanted to know about anything. And missing your golden opportunity to leave in the process.
You should have left the island sooner.
Not that he cared. All he wanted was to learn about the "goofy" things humans had created. He was just as interested about the land as your people were about the sea, even if he didn't care all too much about you humans.
He really want shoes but without feet to wear them he could only voice his longings, playing with the end of his tail mindlessly.
He had made you tell him everything you knew about land and begged you to bring him little knickknacks and tell him in full detail how they were used.
You may have gotten tired of his whining and relented to bringing him things from your home, ignoring the comments made about "Hey, this thing went missing, it was here a second ago" as you left the house.
Today, you brought a small dish decorated in dotted mushrooms. It was really a statement piece rather than a dish to eat off of so you thought Floyd may be more interested in it compared to a normal dish.
As you walked to your usual spot along the shore, you found a familiar head bobbing halfway above the water.
"You're here early." You stated sitting in front of him.
He watched you silently.
Perhaps he was upset about something. But he often switched from one mood to the next in seconds so you hoped your trinket would help cheer him quickly.
"Look at this," He took the dish from your hands. "Now, it's not as ... mm ... I dunno, interactive? As the other things, but lots of humans have things like this. It's just something to show off."
He swam closer towards you, leaning his upper body against the shore. He smiled brightly.
"To think you'd guess my favorite thing by happenstance. Thank you kindly, I'll be sure to repay you in full one day."
He ... sounded odd.
Maybe he was sick?
"It's fine. Are you ... feeling okay?"
"Just swimmingly."
You forced a smile. Of course he'd say it like that.
"You'll be here tomorrow, same time, yes?" He asked.
Not like you had much of a choice. As quickly as Floyd could become happy, he could quickly become angered and he stated multiple times how much he'd like to squeeze you. You hadn't experienced it much, but his strength was nothing to laugh at. "Yup."
"Good. Azul will be pleased. I'll expect you no later." He smiled at you then vanished into the water.
***
As promised, you arrived on the dot at the usual place and Floyd was waiting patiently.
Upon seeing you, he smiled and waved you over. "There you are, I have something for you."
"For me?" You were surprised.
For as long as you had been meeting with him, Floyd had never brought you anything from his home and you never thought he would. So as unexpected as this was, it was a bit touching for you.
He handed you a small, shell shaped vial filled with a lime green liquid.
You smiled. "Thank you."
"Drink it."
You uncorked the top with pop. "You drink things underwater?"
"Sometimes. As different as your and my kind are, we are still similar."
You nodded and took a sip.
Then you immediately gagged. It tasted downright horrendous!
Floyd was quick to lean forward, tilting your head back and pushing the vial back to your lips. "All of it. You wouldn't want anything bad to happen now would you?" He was beaming.
You closed your eyes and scrunched your nose, doing all you could to keep yourself from throwing up.
"There you go. See, not so bad was it?"
You coughed and broke away from him as you took the last drop. "What was that!?"
"Nothing harmful. We've wanted to show you our home as a thank you for your hospitality towards us. Be sure to thank Azul for his gift."
"What?" It was becoming harder to breathe.
Floyd grabbed your hand and began to drag you forward.
"H-hey ... don't ...."
His smile never faltered as he pulled you deeper and deeper into the water. His chuckled rang through your ears and you began to gasp for air.
You tried pulling away. "Fl ... oyd ... I can't ...."
This was bad. If he didn't let go and kept dragging you under, you'd die from lack of air. Why did you ever trust him in the first place?
...
"Open your eyes, you'll miss all the sights."
You opened your eyes.
You could see normally and ... you could still breathe?
The merman swam skillfully, webbed hand holding firmly onto yours.
Everything moved in a blur.
At first, all you saw was an endless blue. But as you swam deeper you saw an ocean of color. Yellows, greens, orange, and everything in between. Swaying seaweeds and branching coral. All sorts of fish swimming merrily, bubbles trailing in their wake.
It was, "beautiful."
"Indeed. I hope you'd like to visit more often."
"Yeah ...," wait, you could talk? "Hey, what was that drink you gave me?"
"A potion to help you breathe underwater. You should adapt here quite nicely."
You began to smile.
Though it tasted god awful, you were glad it gave you the opportunity to see all of this.
You peacefully watched the bright sights all around you.
But then you kept going deeper and deeper until the array of colors turned to dark purples and navy blues, an infinite darkness stretching before your eyes.
Faster your heart began to beat.
"Um, Floyd ... where are we going?"
"Hm? To see Azul. Oh, and I'm not Floyd."
"... what?" Your heart seemed to stop.
Everything was getting darker and you could only look at the merman fearfully. His mismatched eyes seemed to glow dangerously.
You tried to stay calm, your only option was to stick to this creature. You were too far out, way down under, you couldn't see and you had no idea how long this potion would last. If you tried to get away now, you'd surely die.
So you could only hope you weren't lured out here to become a meal.
The creature pulled you alongside him through the gaping mouth of a long dead sea monster, into the pits of its stomach. The light seemed to have been wiped out completely.
You kept away from the bone walls and held the being's hand tightly.
You should have left the island sooner.
Soon, a soft purple light hit your eyes and the sound of jazz music filled your ears.
Instead of a barren expanse filled with bones of past victims, you were led into an elegant room similar to the high end restaurants back home.
Mer-people of all sorts sat at tables, chatting, eating their food, and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.
This ... wasn't at all what you were expecting.
"Shrimpy!" A familiar voice called.
You were then wrested from the creature beside you into a tight hug from someone who looked exactly like him.
Their tail coiled around you a few times over, the end of it still floating in the water, their grip suffocating.
Then, just as quick as they had grabbed you, they pushed you away, glaring. "Shrimpy! You gave Jade a gift? I thought those were just for me. And it was mushrooms. I hate mushrooms. Why don't you ever get me anything I like?"
"Now, Floyd, it's not up to us if they wish to share with us both. And anyway, I think it's quite endearing."
You looked back and forth between the two. They were the same in every way, shape, and form, the only difference being their mannerisms and voices. Their gray and amber eyes the same, the strand of black hair the same, yet both features mirrored the other like a reflection. It was like you were seeing double.
The one who had brought you here smiled coyly. "Oh dear, they seem a bit shook up."
"Oi, Shrimpy, he's not your favorite is he? It's me, right?"
"... wh-who have I been seeing every day? Was it not 'Floyd?'"
"You've been seeing Floyd. But he's said so much about you that yesterday I couldn't help my curiosity getting the better of me and decided to visit. Floyd, you did mention me to them, didn't you?"
Floyd curled himself around you again. "Don't remember. Jade's not important right now, Shrimpy. You've missed me, haven't you?"
"Come now, Floyd, your dear twin matters much more to you than you've said, yes?"
You looked back and forth between the pair. Your day couldn't get any weirder, could it?
Jade held onto one of your hands. "Azul's been anticipating your visit as well. He's such a needy-I mean, friendly person."
Floyd uncoiled himself from you and held onto your other hand. "Yeah, he was annoying at first, but now he has something he wants from you so he wanted one of us to bring you to him. He's such a pain."
The pair swam you forward, past the tables of guests towards the back of the place. A row of shells and pink seaweed hung like a door in front of you. The twins parted them and pushed you in.
You gulped.
Though not very scary, the room held an intimidating air around it. It was decorated neatly with a large table at the center. There were, what seemed to be, cushioned chairs for you to sit on and behind the table was a large shell shaped opening in the "back wall" of the room.
The room was lightened, but the opening was shrouded. You couldn't tell what was there.
"Come in, come in, my dear. One mustn't lurk in doorways, it's rude." A kind, smooth voice beckoned.
Long, inky tentacles spilled from the crevice, snaking towards the table, attached to a blue eyed man drawing forward.
You gaped for a moment before walking up to the chairs. "Wh-who are you?"
They chuckled, "A bit nervous are you? Don't worry, this is all done with your best interest in mind. Jade, Floyd, go bring our guest something to drink."
"I'd rather not!" You spoke up, thinking of the potion you had drank earlier. "I-I mean no offense, I just ... had some already."
The being hummed then gestured to the chairs. "Take a seat. It must have been quite an adventure getting here. You humans aren't quite built to get this far. But I hope you liked your journey under the sea, I think it is quite lovely here."
In your seat, you nodded slowly.
"Wonderful! Now, let me introduce myself, I am Azul Ashengrotto, I run this place and may I say, I have been quite looking forward to meeting you."
He leaned against the table, "Admittedly, I wasn't thrilled that Floyd ran off during work hours but thinking it over, I believe it is a marvelous thing he got to meet you. Good mer-human relationships are difficult to come by so I'm glad you've been so kind to him."
He filed through the papers on his desk. They glimmered gold.
"He's been kind to you, hasn't he? Jade as well?"
Jade and Floyd smiled.
"You wound me, Azul."
"I ain't interested in hurting Shrimpy yet."
Azul glared at them. "I wasn't asking you two."
"Th-they've been ... fine." You shook your head, "what's all this about?"
"Straight to the point, hm? Then let me explain. I want you to help me out."
"...how?"
Did he want you to tell him what things were like Floyd did?
"Oh, it's simple enough. See, being a human yourself you'd know all the best human cuisine. I'd like to incorporate some of that into my restaurants, us mer-folk are fascinated by your kind, you see, and would love a taste of what your kind loves. I'd do it myself, but I'm afraid paper recipes don't do well in the water and your kind is quite ... unnegotiable when it comes to us approaching you."
He selected a paper and turned it over, sliding it across to you. "Contract," it read.
"If the situation permits it, I'd also like to incorporate other human favorites into my other branches."
You frowned, confused.
"Is that really it?"
"Yes, dear. And in return, I can help you get that freedom your heart so desperately desires."
"How did you-"
"Oh, I can always tell. A gift of mine you could call it. You won't have to stand on that land you know everything about again. I can put you in a place you'd never find all the mysteries to, a place with so much to explore you'll never feel the need to leave. Filled with others you'll never fully know everything about."
You looked up at him. "You can do that?"
"Easily."
Maybe your chance to leave your island hadn't left you yet. You could be free, you could live each day where nothing was the same and you didn't know everything about everyone around you for the rest of your life. And all it would take is telling him how to make what humans like.
Azul handed you a fish bone shaped pen and an inkpot. "You'll have all you've ever dreamed of."
"... what's the catch?"
"Oh no, there's no catch per-say. You may take as long as you need and may choose to go wherever. But, you can't leave until we've perfected everything and you will need to return to me the moment I need to know something else about humans. Business is a long, tedious venture you know, and we can't sell something without high chances of prefecting it everytime. But it'll all be worth it in the end I assure you."
You frowned.
You weren't a professional chef, you couldn't even perfect the meals you knew well most of the time, much less the high end stuff he might be expecting. And regardless of if by chance you did help him perfect it quickly, he could ask for something else anytime you were out exploring the world and you'd have to go right back to him.
Wouldn't be much freedom or exploring would it?
You shook your head and pushed the paper back towards him. "I appreciate the offer, but I don't think I can accept."
"... how unfortunate. I do hope you manage to get where you want to be on time."
You stood up and turned to leave, "And I hope you get ... get to ...," you took a deep breath, "make what ... you need to ... s-soon ...."
You took a step towards the door where Jade and Floyd were still waited beside.
Then you took another breath ... and water filled your lungs.
You choked and quickly covered your mouth. Then you tried to take another breath and water choked you once more
What was happening?
You dropped to your knees.
"Oh dear. Azul? How long did you say that potion would last?" Jade said.
"About an hour. I suppose it does take quite a while to get here. Especially since you couldn't swim as fast with our guest with you, their body wouldn't be able to handle going any faster than you had, and our chat did take up a lot of time."
You tried to keep yourself from coughing and making the situation worse.
"Eh? You told Shrimpy the potion wouldn't last forever, didn't you, Jade?"
"I was so excited to bring them here it must have slipped my mind." Jade smiled "empathetically" at you.
Your lungs tightened. You could barely take it anymore.
"Oh man, Shrimpy's going to die."
"Yes. Another poor, unfortunate soul will be lost to the sea ... unless."
You looked at Azul.
He lowered himself so he was at level with you, contract in hand. "Unless I adjust this contract here to say I'll simply save their life out of the goodness of my heart. The meaning of freedom and saving can be used interchangeably. After all, who doesn't feel free after being saved?"
You nodded desperately, gagging in futile attempts to keep your remaining breaths.
Your skull felt like it was being crushed by a pulverizer.
Three ...
With a tentacle, he dipped the pen in ink. "Though I suppose it'd be better to write a new contract with just that on it since our client here doesn't want this old one. But that'd take far too long, our poor dear would be dead by then."
Two ...
You were freezing with a chill you had never felt before.
Gagging again, you snatched the paper from his hands and reached for the pen.
"Now, now, you must think about this carefully, dear. What if you make a decision you'll forever regret?"
You didn't care anymore, you just wanted to live. You snatched the pen and hastily signed your name.
Azul grinned.
... one ...
Your eyes closed and your body went limp, the contract and pen floating from your hands.
Then, you weren't entirely sure what happened next.
Something had been pressed against your mouth and after a moment you were able to open your eyes, still dazed but feeling normal again.
Floyd had wrapped himself around you, "Yay! Shrimpy, we're gonna be friends down here forever now."
Jade held onto your arm, brushing your hair back gently. "I do hope you don't mind sharing your stories about land with me directly."
Azul stood above you, smile wide as can be, signed contract in his tentacles. He leaned forward, cupping your cheek.
"I'm so glad we were able to come to an agreement my dear. Oh, there's no need to thank me. I look forward to working with you. After all, this contract binds us. For all eternity."
You should have left the island sooner.
"And why would I do that?" The High Lord of Autumn demanded.
“Because he is my mate.”
Elain doesn’t mean to sleep with Lucien. The first time.
The Longest Night by @southsidestory & NextToSomething
The Winter Solstice is a time for gift-giving, love, and new beginnings. Elain wants none of those things from Lucien. She didn’t choose to be his mate, no more than she chose to be High Fae, and she’s not used to either yet. The only way to guard her heart is to keep her distance. But then a blizzard hits Velaris, leaving Lucien snowed in at the town house. And whether Elain likes it or not, she’s spending the night with her mate—the longest night of the year.
(A Court of Frost and Starlight canon-divergence.)
Emissaries With Benefits by @velidewrites
When diplomacy fails, Prythian courtiers Elain and Lucien like to resort to a steamier kind of negotiation.
I'm usually not big on cross-overs, but I'm actually a huge fan of combining Ninjago with LoZ
Like in my head they're in the same universe, but Ninjago and Hyrule are just different areas
I wanna see Lloyd interact with Rito and Zora, because why are there snake people but not bird people or fish people?
There are, they just live in different regions
Humans live in Ninjago and Hylians live in Hyrule
The people of Hyrule have never seen a human before, so when Lloyd and the other ninja travel to Hyrule, everyone is amazed at these new tall folk (Hylians tend to be around 4-5 feet tall, and I'm convinced Cole is like 6'5" or something)
Due to their ninja appearance, everyone mistakes them for being part of the Yiga Clan at first
Headcanons Below
Kai is the only one who can walk freely in Goron City without fire protection
Cole is very welcomed in Goron City because he can very easily help the Gorons find gems
Nya prefers Zora's Domain and it's surprisingly common for some of the people there to compare her to Mipha
I feel like Link and Lloyd don't get along, and it's partially because the people around them compare them to each other a LOT more than they'd like
"I'm literally the chosen one of Ninjago, I should lead-" "I'm the hylian champion and hero of Hyrule, and I know this area better than you, I should lead going into this-" "I fought my own father and defeated the Overloard, the manifestation of pure evil." "I defeated four different versions of Ganon to take back the Divine Beasts-" "Do you even know what an 'Oni' is?" "Have you ever encountered a Lynel!?"
Link and Lloyd are the same height, they're both tiny
The Gerudo fucking love Nya?? They're all so impressed by her intelligence, fighting skills, and elemental power
The boys really dislike not being allowed into Gerudo Town, and instead having to stay at Kara Kara Bazaar
Kai waits outside the walls of Gerudo Town to wait for her because he's really protective and doesn't like her being somewhere he can't get access to
Link helping them get inside Gerudo Town because he's done this before???
The Ninja all dressed as women just walking through Gerudo Town and they're all super anxious they're gonna be found out and tossed back over the wall or something
"Jay, you know you can take that outfit off now right? We've got Nya." "I kinda like it, it's breathable. And I was definitely a prettier girl than any of you were :) "
The ninja explaining the Serpentine to Link, and Link in turn introduces them to the Rito because animal-people
Zane fucking thrives up in the mountains
Guardians terrify Jay, he hates how much they look like spiders, and the fact that they lock onto you also freaks him out
Both Jay and Zane are fucking delighted to collect the Guardian parts though when they defeat one
I feel like Zane takes the Sheikah technology back to Julien for him to study and make use of
Omg, the Ninja helping take back the Divine Beasts, each of them partnering with Link based on their Element
Like Kai and Cole accompany him into Vah Rudania, Nya into Vah Rutah, Jay into Vah Naboris, and Zane into Vah Medoh just because he's the only one that can handle the cold up there, and I feel like Lloyd and Link would have to set aside their differences and face Calamity Ganon together
As you can see, I have thought about this a lot lol
From The Tree
satoru gojo x reader
summary:
“Satoru?”
He's taller and broader now. His eyes are covered, and his voice is deeper. He wears a crown on his head and wears luxurious clothes. The fae king's ears are still pointed as ever and his face is still, and probably always will be, perfection.
He lowers the cover over his eyes. If you were crazy, you’d swear you see longing in those bright eyes of his.
a/n: quick write and loosely based on the folk of the air series by holly black!
tw: bullying, toxic, prejudice because reader is human, violence, idk what else
Sew the heart onto that, tie it off, and let it be. If it falls, then-
Your thoughts are interrupted by the ever-so-wonderful trio of idiots. One pulls your hair, making you look up. Shoko looks down at you with a curious gleam in her eye as she inspects your mortal hair with disgust. Her piercing gaze then goes to the blanket you decided to make.
“Is this work worth anything?” she drops her interest in your hair and picks up your project with two of her fingers. It is a blanket with a heart sewn on it. Admittedly, it isn’t much to look at. However, you worked hard on it, so you are of course proud.
“It’s worth something to me.”  You snatch it back and frown when you see the stain from her rolled cigarette, she left on it. She may be popular and influential in this mystical hell, but damn her hands are dirty. No one would expect people that are so beautiful to be that way.
On your right, is Geto. A tall, handsome, intelligent faerie with a slick silver tongue. Although he comes off to you at times kind, you never forget to look deeper and see the slight smile on his face whenever he sees something entertaining; it usually is a wicked thing too. The longer you are here for, the more you understand that he has a face of a liar, even if he can't lie.
  Like now, he looks so concerned and soft. But you see how he likes how this is unfolding. As you both look into each other’s eyes, you know what is about to happen next. The third idiot to complete the trio.
The strongest faerie of them all and future king, and a total pain in your ass, Satoru Gojo, appears. He crouches down to your sitting level. With a scowl, he picks up your blanket again and tears it. “I knew mortals were sloppy but God, that was extreme.”
“Why did you do that?” You yell as you pick up the shredded fabric. He tore it to pieces that you don’t think can be salvaged. You’ve worked hard on this. Just for an asshole to ruin it for no reason.
“You should be glad I helped you. It is much more lavish now compared to whatever you were doing.”
  Those around you laughed. He squatted to your level again. Before you could say anything, he cups your cheeks with one large hand. “Thank me, human.”
  Human. Mortal. Things they never fail to rub in your face. Well, you know what? You are proud of being human. Living a long time that will inevitably turn boring is worse than a short life of fun. Having new adventures, love no matter how or why, living fast, or maybe just taking it slow. Either way, a thousand or so years of seeing the same old things time and time again must suck.
  And dealing with him and his minions sucks, too. No matter how beautiful they are.
Satoru Gojo, and his magical eyes that see all. Topped with white, fluffy hair, a perfect nose, and the longest lashes you’ve ever seen. Full, pink, perfectly smooth lips and a chiseled chin to match. Not to forget the pointed ears that declare him a faerie.
  They are all so beautiful. And they always make sure that you know that you pale in comparison. You're tired of their perfection. Of his. It is only right for you to dirty it.
You spit in his face, much to his surprise. Everyone around you is shocked and waits for their future king to kill you. Although you don’t fully regret it right now, you’re starting to wonder if that was the best call.
Instead of lashing out, he wipes his face and caresses your cheek gently. No one is breathing. No one moves, either.
He says nothing as he holds your chin and smiles with closed eyes. Satoru walks away. That's it. He just walks away.
Utahime, someone who doesn’t hang out with Satoru and Geto a lot, and never treated you unnecessarily unkind, whispers, “What the hell did you just do?”
 You try to hide your shaking with a nonchalant look. You tuck your hands underneath some of the tattered fabric to cover how sweaty they are. His friends walk away in his direction. Whatever happens next, is probably going to be extremely painful.
--
Since then, you’ve been on high alert. You’re probably the only one that would ever spit in his face. You are the only idiot in the entire kingdom. Finally, after a week of hiding, you go out of your house which is in a large tree trunk surrounded by flowers and a garden of mortal fruit and vegetables.
 It has been days since the incident, you think. Surely, he has calmed down some. Yes, you spit in his face in front of everyone. Yep, you’re going to die.
  “Okay, I'll just go and get a few things then I’ll go back home.” Right, right. Although he is a vicious and cruel bastard, he still has an image to keep. He can’t get away with killing or maiming. At least not yet.
   Right as your foot touches the ground, you hear a disturbing laugh. Gasping, you spot Satoru right in front of you. “I have been meaning to talk to you.”
  You don’t have a weapon. Not a single scrap of silver on you. “Satoru-”
“You dare call me so informally?” He cocks his head to the side.
“It’s hard not to. I have known you my whole life.” Ever since you accidentally wandered off in the seemingly small forest when you were young.
There was a tree that had red lines on the trunk and strange roots above the ground. They were such a pretty color that you had to touch them. When you did, you must have unlocked it because the tree opened up and swallowed you in.
   How were you supposed to know that it was a gate to a world that hides in plain sight? Like a door, it opened and shut. It reminds you so much of that book about a wardrobe you used to read as a child.
  That’s when you met him. You landed right in front of Satoru. He was wide-eyed and curious about the girl with round ears and clothes that couldn’t be made by someone like him. They were much too drab. Ever since then, he has been relentless towards you.
   And you do not know why. The saving grace is that he hasn’t really done anything major.
“I am a prince. The sole heir to the throne of this kingdom. You may not be anything but dirt, however, you are on my land. You will abide by my rules and glory.”
“You’re just a prince. This land isn’t yours.” You snap. Satoru looks appalled.
  He growls and clenches his fists. He then raises his hand and points his finger. A swirl of red gathers around the tip of it. Unfortunately, as a royal, he is given extremely special abilities. He is the strongest fae. Maybe, the strongest that there has ever been.
Never has he attacked you with it. “Gojo!”
You try to snap him out of it. If he launches that, you won’t be able to dodge. “Satoru, stop!”
Brilliant, and angry red runs toward you with devastating speed. The prince of the fae stands tall. His blue eyes that see all are terrifying now. No longer are they annoying and full of arrogance. Now, they are monstrous and evil. Beads that have given a creature too much power.
   Somehow, it misses you. Not all of it, but enough that it grazes you. Still, your side is hit, and the force pushes you back. You feel your body bounce from the ground and every stick that is in your way. Once you’ve stopped rolling from the impact, you shake from pain.
  “Ha! You actually dodged! Maybe humans are-” You hear him stop talking. He stands next to your battered form. Tears prick your eyes as you try to push yourself up. It hurts too bad! There is a brutal fight between your pride to stand and the agonizing pain you're experiencing that makes it too hard to even lift yourself up like that.
  All this, and it didn’t even hit you fully. Can anyone imagine what would happen if you did touch the void?
   You sob as you try to move some more.
“Ant? I-I knew you’d dodge but you're hurt-” He sounds confused and shocked. His hand is gentle on your back. Upon contact you try to swipe him away, crying. “Get away from me, you monster!”
  Possibly minutes later, you are slowly, and carefully, lifted into his arms. Compared to you, he is okay. Gojo does not a scratch on him. Not a white hair out of place or a hint of exhaustion. As he carries you with ease, you finally begin to notice the difference between you and him. For years he has rubbed your mortality in your face. How powerless you are, how weak and weird you look. While the fae are exceptionally beautiful, you are just you.
   You remember how it was when you first arrived. How they looked at you, how he teased you and tugged on your hair and ears. Back then, you just wanted to go home. His father ‘invited’ you to the castle to figure out how to get you home so something like you wouldn’t have to remain in the realm. In the meantime, you were with the prince and subjected to his ridicule and curiosity.
  And now, you’re here in the arms of someone who you reluctantly grew up with. He almost killed you. Never had he even threatened this. It was always pulling, tugging, and teasing you for being human.
You really are an ant compared to him. He was right about that.
 You finally open your eyes and see that the two of you are deeper in the woods. It is a blurry sight from watery eyes, but it is undeniable. The sweet smell that is unique to this realm gives it away anyway.
  The fae says something in a low tone. Still, you can’t look at him. You can’t bear to. With one hard blink, you see a familiar tree with red and weird roots. You gasp at the sight. When you arrived here, that was the last you saw of the tree. No one could find it. Has he known where it was this whole time? Ah, right. The Six Eyes. The power to see all. Of course, he could find it. How long has he known where it was?
 Wait, what is he doing?
 “I am so sorry for hurting you. I knew you could dodge it. I just didn’t expect you to get hurt...or to be so scared. I thought you’d be humbled, not broken. You’re just so strong, I wanted to prove I was stronger. But not like this.” He apologizes again.
  “What are you doing?” He touches the root. “W-wait! I can’t go back! I don’t know anything about it anymore!”
“You’re safer there.”
 “This is my home!”
 He lays you down in time for the tree to open. You cling onto his arm.  Before you are pulled away, he leans down and tells you his true name. The prince, the future king, told you his most sacred secret. “My only. It remains with you.”
  You scream as you are taken away. You get to look at him for what may be the last time. He's on his knees, with a bright and shiny tear in his legendary eye. He watches you as you leave.
--
  Ten years have passed since you arrived at the place you should call home, and not give that title to the land of magic, power, and mystery. Ten years of you being with your own kind and unhappy. There are beautiful people here, inside and out, but it’s not home. You have been with the fae since you were a little kid and have gotten used to the wonders of them and their land. The tricks and riddles, enchanted trees, parties, abundant stars, two moons that on certain days would form into one big moon that is said to be a blessed day.
 Everything here is bland compared to that.
 Sighing, you try to push the land of wonder and its inhabitants out of your mind. It has been a decade since you healed. Years have passed for you to try to understand. Yes, you spit on him. But for so long you and the prince had argued, yet he never used his infamous power. And as you were sucked away, he cried. The future king told you his true name. Something that the fae never reveal. You don't know what is going on in Satoru Gojo's head, no one does, and probably never will.
   Even though you are separated from your old home, some of your habits have not been lost. You find yourself in a forest that is just off of your house, foraging. The smell is different here. Back there, back at home, it has a distinct sweet scent.
  You feel the leaves on the ground. The bright green leaf feels silky against your fingertips. Too silky and smooth. You turn it over and see that there are no ridges or stems. The leaf has an iridescent quality to it when you move it around. Curious of the pretty leaf, you smell it.
“Sweet...?” As you do, the air turns dense. You feel something tug on you. Finally, you land on your back. Almost as if you had just innocently tripped and nothing pulled you.
Sweet.
You get up and see the beautiful tree with red lines and weird roots in front of you. “Wait,”
You look around and notice the difference. The sky is bluer, and the weather is perfect, the small forest animals' coats are different and look a lot more groomed. They look perfect.
“I’m h-”
“What are you doing here?” A voice asks from behind you. You scramble to stand and face the owner. “I fell-”
You stop and stare at the tall man. “Satoru?”
He's taller and broader now. His eyes are covered, and his voice is deeper. He wears a crown on his head and wears luxurious clothes. The fae king's ears are still pointed as ever and his face is still, and probably always will be, the epitome of perfection.
He lowers the cover over his eyes. If you were crazy, you’d swear you see longing in those bright eyes of his.
ok i REAAAAAALLY need to make a dedicated sideblog for this shit now i realize bc this game is gonna fucking fully get me dragged into this discourse so i'm gonna make an active effort to stop putting these on main, but i can't see myself saying more beyond this in general but ANYWAAAAYS
so i recently made this post about the cognitive dissonance regarding this game and people using fucking CALL OF DUTY a game that is more or less a recruitment drive to make the US military look cool and try to get kids to join up and that GTA's wanted system is actually NOT rewarding you or something to try to play a dick measuring contest with coffin but this interaction really interested me and i wanna talk about it bc i just blocked them after they refused to answer the last question but this is a very specific kind of gaslighting tactic i'm very familiar with from my own days as an anti
i think p much all of us who are used to engaging with this discourse are used to like y'know, being called awful horrible disgusting things. this is not the first time some fucking weird random person came onto my content asking me if i was a kid didler or wanted to fuck my brother. ain't gonna be anywhere near the last time either folks, but i and Lord God knows that's not the case so i don't care what a rando on the internet says but here's the thing: you can't "win" this, but they want to win it. no matter what you say you are the absolute worst kind of dreg of society that should be shot behind a barn and no amount of anything would work. if i actually pulled a list of sourced all that would have happened was they would've doubled down on calling me an inc*s*ious p*d* that I would be willing to use articles probably written by "people like me." because YOU don't care about "winning" this argument, you just wanna get the facts out on your end. it's a catch-22 folks, nothing you say will get you out of it!
i started by calling them a karen, they immediately escalated the living FUCK out of it and tried to trap me in this catch-22 to keep feeling morally superior to me. me saying i don't have such desires and never will isn't enough because i like this game. nothing but me renouncing it will change it.
but here's the thing about antis- they fucking HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE it when you turn it on them. look at the difference. look at the difference between they were the one throwing the catch-22 at me vs. the other way around. what about you? you just came onto my post to harass me, so i'll say it back. how about you? are you just accusing me of these horrible things because you are projecting your thoughts on me? you told me to get a therapist: so maybe you're the one that needs help if so!
violent video games must encourage violence, riiiiight? and you support it because it's violent. Game of Thrones had in*e*t in it so everyone who likes it also is the same. and Demon Slayer, where the pfp is from is violent, so you support it. the main protag's little sister also gets a superpowered form where she gets physically older and a tits out kinda look. so clearly YOU want to see your sister in the same way, right?
and it went as expected. you can see the tone going from smug jerking off with a shit-eating grin to just annoyed while smelling their own farts like it's a rose. and the moment i started doing the same uh i got NO fucking answers and they stormed off. i waited half an hour for a response before blocking them
so why am i typing up this walltext? because i used to be an anti. i fucking guarantee you i would've called everyone who liked this game [insert horrible things] like 7-9 years ago. so let me tell you, you know what pisses off antis more than anything? more than ANYTHING? turning this catch-22 bullshit on them. this is the only way you can end this miserable conversation without blocking them.
it's all one-sided bullshit and the moment you turn it on an anti it IMMEDIATLY shuts it down. this fucker KNEW the answer and you know it. so i wanted to share that, if you ever struggle with this shit: well the best thing you can do is block them and to give a fuck about winning their imaginary argument, but this is the only way to make the headache end otherwise. just throw the catch-22 right back and that's the end. thanks for reading!
