ed's entire character arc of 2 seasons being rolled into tiny ball and thrown in the trash. and no he isnt slipping or spiralling again, it isnt him being hot protective husband, this is him, character who spent 2 seasons trying and failing to be better and finally decided that the healthiest thing to do is to just drop the lifestyle that brings out the worst in him and pursue simple life THROWING IT OUT after finding out its not as easy as he assumed and he would have to work for it??? incredible fucking message david jenkins, if being better version of yourself is just lil bit inconvenient its not worth it go back to your crappy ways.

and NO its not him slipping, the tone of this whole thing is very distinctly victorious. and also NO the path he took now is not in any way different or better than the one he left. there is even fun triumphant vibe to him KILLING PEOPLE which was always treated as sth BAD for him??? literally absolute nonsense

I get izzy wanting to make amends but BOTH OF THEM SHOULD BE APOLOGISING, HE SHOULDNT VE BEGGING FOR FORGIVENESS and ed shouldnt be framed as blameless in their relationship in izzy's last moment.

and what made me genuinely laugh was izzy saying that the crew is ed's family. they are literally NOT. everyone who was aboard the revenge either hates him or is scared of him, and I dont think they had enough reason to change their minds as ed hasnt rly spent any time with the crew and shown only care for stede. they are NOT ed's found family and this payoff and this found family line is so ridiculously not set up and not narrativelly deserved it makes me laugh.

IM SORRY IF THIS IS TOO MUCH OR IF YOU REALLY DONT CARE AKSKEIE it's just that your fic was amazing and it made me consider the lore implications it has on the series, because let's be honest: the multiverse is real, even if you don't believe it the fact that the theory exists proves it's point. That's how I think of it anyways. My point is that this story is totally real in another universe and so I HAVE QUESTIONS

first, did Tentoo stay in the parallel universe to be with Rose? Or did he stay and find an alternate Y/n? Would 10 have at all considered letting Tentoo stay to be with Y/n? Second, whY WHYWHY did he finally come back for her? Did 11/12/13 think of her? Did they visit her/check on her without her even realizing?! And third, more of an assumption, he broke up with her because he knew he was regenerating right? He must have figured that 11 was his last life if he'd already been through the 50th anni. Fourth, what does River think about her? Fifth, I love you

AHH IM SO GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT. There are a lot of holes that were mostly put up for interpretation but I'll try to clarify and rectify possible mistakes and questions the best that I can.

1) In this fic, tentoo gained the Doctor's feelings - moreso absorbing every remaining ounce of longing the Doctor had for Rose, unbeknownst to the Doctor. So naturally, the best outcome for all was Tentoo and Rose being happily placed together and left in the parallel world.

2) Prior to regenerating, the Doctor realised he no longer held love for Rose. instead, Y/n became a constant in his mind. He became regretful; full of anger. All pointed towards himself - leading to his inevitable demise. After his regeneration, he still thought of Y/n a lot, but everything he did to her made his hearts ache, so he'd push it away. Though, sometimes, against his better judgement, he'd land the tardis someplace quiet, and he'd watch her from afar.

Turns out Y/n's head wasn't playing cruel tricks on her with the taunting traces of the tardis' wheeze.

3) The Doctor didn't talk much about Y/n, too ashamed at himself for the way he'd treated her, though occasionally he'd accidentally slip up and mention her. Consequently, after their marriage, he told River all about her. And River could see the love and hope he held in his hearts for her. She was respectful and understanding. She even scolded him lightly, which he agreed he deserved.

But ultimately, the Doctor and River's relationship didn't change. Only with the Doctor being a little more withdrawn than in the show.

4) 14 was entirely devoted to Y/n. Internally, he had made a vow to never hurt her again. In this regeneration, he realised he had reverted to his former self because he had unfinished business with her. He desperately needed and yearned for his former fiancèe.

Y/n fought with her self respect and urge for travelling. Should she stay, knowing he was capable of mentally destroying her like he had before? Or should she leave before it was too late?

She took ahold on his hand, allowing him to giddly lead her to the tardis. Gradually, she let her walls slip, noting how different this version was. She no longer felt like a second thought.

And they both agreed that one trip just wasn't enough.

So, she did as she had done years before. She stayed, conscious that she may, as she had previously, live to regret that decision.

*Completely up to you if you want to decide they had a happy life, Y/n sticking around for the 15th, too. I like to imagine that was the case, but is anything really that easy when it comes to the Doctor?*

Just saw the Gotham Knights trailer (while i dont agree with all of the character design) the sneak peeks i saw seems like it nailed the characterization

I have been excitedly talking back and forth with some of my buddies about it. I am so excited to see how they do the Court of Owls because my god the trailers are incredible. the characterization of EVERYONE is lovely. Sure, there's some critique on some gameplay choices for various characters. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make each character balanced with abilities and playable so it's fine.

(Sure, Jason uses magic I'm not fully vibin with that, but what else does he use that the others haven't got? Dick already has electricity so he can’t do that, and he's used magic in the comics before so the devs aren't pulling that idea out of their ass.)

Even if the game story positively sucks I won't be too miffed. the cinematic trailer really shows that the devs have the characters in the right place in their heads.

Unpopular opinion but I really enjoy Jason's design. People keep saying that he looks like a bully and I will throw hands with them. they got the body design PERFECT. Jason should be a BIG dude. Bruce should be second in size and mass compared to Jason, not first. Jason is wide, built, and a big guy.

Sure, it's not the same as the comics, but also comic artists manage to spew out raw dogshit that looks like they've never learned what the words Visually Appealing means *cough cough*

He should be big, mean, and intimidating. guys who are that big size and wide frame are the guys who can pull trains with their teeth. People built like Tim or Dick can't reach the amount of muscle mass that Jason could put on.

I think is face design is perfect. Dude has been through some shit and it shows. Do I vibe with the haircut? not fully. But it fits the face of this version of Jason. The long hair up top wouldn't work as well as the buzz. would I prefer a tad more hair on the sides? Yes. But It's a part of the design that shows you a part of how his character acts without even saying a word. It tells you the life he's lived and how he views himself and how he fights.

I KNOW we are starving for positive relationships in tekken but he is very much as egoistical and self-interested as the rest of his family, kazuya is his brother only by name only and lee not only doesnt care about him nor their father and he would happily throw him or both of them under the bus to get ahead LIKE HE IS DOING NOW BY WORKING WITH LARS AND JIN AGAINST KAZUYA. But if he could I really doubt he would still be regarded as the meme man that he is now. I love lee but I feel like the only person that can see smth sinister lurking under the surface thats funny and approachable and even has friends. The thundering skies only now beginning to boom. It had been a while since they fought, everything had been going so smoothly...not even a small slip...not until now. Peace could never remain when referring to the Rays. All broken and twisted individuals, that found comfort and reassurance in one another. Tiffany had found her husband, drenched in crimson, staining him a scarlet hue. He didn't try and hide it, he merely sat and cracked open a cold one and took a sip, allowing the bubbles to simmer in his mouth, completely unphased by his wife's expression and yelling. The redhead could only glance upward, devoid of any emotion.

"Don't be such a fucking hypocrite Tiffany"

His comment had left her silent, he must have known, about the incident a few weeks back, with a convenience store worker that had gone missing. However, this only being mere speculation, Tiffany refused to bring the topic up.

(SPOILER FILLED) alrighty, time for some more cohesive thoughts on prime for me (since my last one was written directly after finishing it and now its had time to sit in my brain) (long post btw, i ramble @w@)

overall, i very much enjoyed it! the animation had me positively salivating over the fact that its /actually/ using animation techniques and not just. moving characters from A to B without the time for proper stylization. the overall plot was enjoyable and i am excited to see what the rest of the season will offer.

the fact that it is only one-third of the whole season also makes me a lot more forgiving about certain flaws i found at first, like only showing three worlds and not giving the characters a lot of time to breathe. theres the very high likelihood that such a thing actually will happen, and we might even see more places and worlds, which is an exciting thought! nonetheless, going in i did not know this as i was sleep deprived and had forgotten how many episodes the season has, so i felt a little bit salty, ngl.

Devon Mack does a very good job as sonic, and it makes me feel warm inside hearing his portrayal! every actor does a great job honestly, and it truly feels like they all understand the respective character they voice act(especially considering they have to acclimate the character /and/ voice for each new world. very talented!). the eggman voice actor could use some rerecords at times honestly;; but he does a good enough job that i only notice it sometimes; and he is fun to listen to regardless, and is just a subjective thought of mine.

the different universes also intrigue me! :D i really enjoyed the first one the jungle one was interesting and had beautiful flora models, but it is with this one that a problem of mine arises (but ill get to that later). the waterworld was also interesting, but kind of boring worldwise, since its just. water. (i get that its a pirate world and thats fine! i just cant give a good description of my feelings besides just. water. yknow?)

ive seen that a lot of people think rouge shouldve been the captain in the third world and. honestly. yeah. i think we might get to see why later on? but idk. i hope they have a reason that makes sense as to why she isnt, like if the worlds stick around and dont fuse back, shed be the next captain? weh! (i do love knuckles in a captains outfit though, so bonus points for that!)

now. i only have a few “criticisms”, and although some can be attributed to not being intended for me(and i will therefore not include cus. duh), there is one thing i just cannot let slip by.

(CRITIQUE START) the issue i have is that it feels so empty. new yolk (i refuse the yoke) is populated, but later episodes only really reuse the same five models roughly multiple times and i think had at most like 30? of them at the same time, and obviously could not have had more due to budget and such (which is understandable, but that still doesnt mean i cant point it out).

the jungle episodes! THE JUNGLE EPISODES?? ONLY HAD 5?? CHARACTERS MINUS SONIC (froggy counts) AT ALL TIMES?? and even the flashbacks only show those, probably so as not to imply death but like. come on. not even a few background characters at all? am i meant to believe they will all die out anyway simply by being the last people on this earth? im sorry i just cant get over this. you can make sean mcloughlin, mr jacksepticeye, get a cameo and his own personal character model, BUT CANNOT EVEN FILL A JUNGLE WITH PEOPLE?? did i miss something? if theyd shown even /one/ bg character once in a single frame in the flashbacks, id forgive it but i. cannot. im sorry. im nitpicking but come on! this is like the only issue i have. you only have 11 of the original characters in the first place (sonic. tails. knuckles. amy. rouge. big. froggy. shadow. eggman. orbot. cubot.), and then half of them are pretty much gone most of the time.

and yeah you could say that the reasons others arent there (in-canon, not because of legal issues) is because they werent hit close-up with the prism shatter, but neither was big? he was shown to be down by the hills when it exploded, and i dont know if that counts considering that orbot and cubot arent even in any episode besides the first one, and they werent visible in the blast, i do not know what the blast radius would be to affect anything else. eugh. idk man. this is like the ONE issue i have, and its so small it feels meaningless. yeah yeah the budget the tight grip on characters yadda yadda i get the reasons behind it but it still affects the endgoal and i should be allowed to point it out.                                                                                                                     (CRITIQUE OVER)

So I’ve been Thinking about denethor and faramir and nothing else for two days. like i am a denethor girlie. in my mind. spiritually. haven’t posted much abt him on tumblr. but nowww. you’re exactly right, ‘denethor Is a good leader…[insert ur paragraph here]’ yes yes yes you get it. listen denethor was a prideful, angry, resentful man but he was also valiant, resilient and noble. He guarded his city, alone (which takes GUTS, again, he was a badass!!), so well, for literal YEARS that Sauron was fearful/wary of him. i wish people were more understanding of him. he’s such an interesting character there’s so much to explore there. as you said the duty-vs-love, the weapon-first-person-next of it all. the layers. denethor as a weapon. denethor as a symbol of both sword/shield. AAHHH

BUT i think some people dismiss him hate him bc he is the mirror (the ugly side? if that makes sense) of humanity, of us. we ought to show him some compassion tho ‘cause havent u ever been taken under the darkness of life? felt the world slipping away & struggle to keep up w it? dont u ever feel hopeless? that things will never change, no matter what u do? DO YOU HAVE FEARS HAVE YOU FACED THE MONSTERS? WERE YOU ALONE, SCARED AND HOPELESS? AND HAVENT YOU MADE MISTAKES IN YOUR GRIEF AND PUSHED PEOPLE AWAY?? THAT’S what denethor experienced. He was described as a leader & a learned one at that for christ sake. He knew that evil was awaiting him and his kin and his people! he saw his future. yet. yet he soldiered on until. war declared. his sons killed (or so he believed). that’s when hope abandoned him. what was the point of staying alive now anyway? Evil was upon them, they would surely be tortured w a fate worse than death, so why should he not end the pain and kill himself? he fought the war against Time, Evil and The Dark Enemy himself and WON. he was a brave man indeed, to have fought these dark forces so much stronger than him. but he finally lost the war against Despair (and Grief), the cruelest of them all. imma cry 😭😭😭 no no no u don’t understand he didnt give up hope, hope abandoned him he- [GUNSHOT] (i don’t know how much of this even made sense lmao) anyway,

Faramir <333. do i even have to say anything about faramir? he’s the specialest little guy i love himm 🥰.
