Watson was infuriated. Her dark eyes blazed bright with anger as she helped her and Holmes’ guest to their feet.

“Sherlock!” she called. “What did you think you were doing? Trying to hurt Kitty?” If they had been alone, she would have phrased her question differently to something like “Were you trying to kill Kitty?”

“That was not my intention,” Holmes replied as he revealed himself by stepping out of the kitchen, knowing what she really wanted to say.

“We were playing ‘cops and robbers,’” Archie piped up as he rose from his hiding place behind the sofa.

“Aunt Kitty triggered our trap,” Arthur added, exiting the hall closet after Joan knocked on its door. “Sorry, Aunt Kitty.”

“Yeah. Sorry, Mum.”

Archie’s mother, Kitty Winter, finished brushing off her pants. She had tripped over a wire that Holmes had rigged across the living room carpet with his two co-conspirators. To everyone’s relief, she seemed to be no worse the wear for it.

“Apology accepted, boys. I forgot how…exciting…staying here can be,” Kitty said, shooting Joan a look of sympathetic understanding.

The former surgeon only rolled her eyes. “I think we’d better go outside,” Joan suggested. “Maybe we could check for some honey.”

“Race you to the roof!” Arthur yelled, bounding up the brownstone stairs two at a time, Archie hot on his heels.

The adults exchanged smiles at the boys’ exuberance before following them at a more sedate pace.

So, to recap:

Scott gets shot. That's done.

Then they try to shoot logan with hollow point bullets while he's attached to an adamantium frame that's held up in the air by a crane.

They try again, bullet bounces off and hits a civilian.

I forgot to highlight it, but then they decided to drop the frame logan is in several times in the parking lot of the courthouse.

Drove a truck over logan.

People are screaming and puking looking at his torn up, but not dead body.

a doctor tries to test and see if he's dead and gets hurt

to "finish it quickly" they decide to roll him over with a steam roller.

God. Fucking damn.

It probably would have just been easier to throw his ass in a cell forever than to do all this shit. Everyone seems incompetent from the neck up.

Also, how did they get their hands on an Adamantium Frame and why use it for this? Just because Logan can't cut his way out of it?

What about Maid of Void?

The Maid of Void [symbols: flower, shadow]

The Maid class has its basis in the handmaiden or lady-in-waiting. An example would be Joan of Arc.

The Void aspect’s main theme is the unknown. You can find its official description here.

A Maid of Void is among those who alter knowing and perceiving. This is the “classpect group” they belong to. Members include: the Sylph, Maid, Bard, and Prince of Void/Light. These classes are all opposites or inverses of each other that alter the Void/Light dichotomy (knowing and perceiving). A description of classpect groupings can be found here.

The Maid of Void actively assists the Void aspect. Active classes tell themselves what to do and do so for their own benefit. They are more likely to stand up for themselves, but more likely to be cruel. Sylphs and Maids aid their aspect and everything it symbolizes or use it as a form of aid. Simplified, the Maid of Void is motivated by themselves to assist the unknown.

In personality, the Maid of Void feels like something is holding them back and is very independent. Personality descriptions can be found here.

Their archetype is the Escapee Spy, defined by freedom and secrecy. Archetypes are explained here.

Their opposite is the Sylph of Light, who passively assists awareness.

Their inverse is the Bard of Light, who passively destroys awareness.

A classpect or “god tier” is an individual’s best self. All classpects go through a journey from unrealized, to struggle, to realized. When a character is unrealized, they neutrally exist as their inverse. On their struggle, they will wildly flip back and forth between their inverse and true classpect. In their worst moments they will act as their inverse, in their best their true classpect. When realized, they will stabilize as their true classpect. They will still have room to grow, but will become happier, more successful people.

This means that the Maid of Void begins life motivated by others to destroy awareness. When their struggle arrives and they are at their worst, they will continue this behavior in negative extremes. However, when at their best, they will find purpose in instead assisting the unknown for themselves. When realized, they will stabilize and continue to assist the Void aspect actively, in a positive way.

They share their archetype with the Thief of Breath, the Spy Escapee.

The Maid of Void would quest on a planet similar to the Land of Underground [Maid] and Void [Aspect]. An example would be the Land of Stalactites and Dreaming. An explanation of planet naming conventions can be found here.

Two possible gods, or denizens, to reign over their planet would be Nyx (Goddess of Night) or Poseidon (God of the Sea). Other Void aspect denizens can be found here.

When the Maid of Void completes their planet quests and dies on their quest bed, they would rise to ascension on the wings of bats (symbols of night). A list of soul animals can be found here.

The Ninth Wonder: The Story Of Chyna And How She Changed Women’s Wrestling

We all know how women’s wrestling in WWE is different than it was back when we were all growing up. We’ve seen strong wrestlers like Bianca Belair lifting Otis and Rhea Ripley lifting Luke Gallows and slamming him. However, they weren’t the first to do this. Back in the Attitude Era, The Ninth Wonder of The World, Chyna , was the one to do this. This article is about her and how she changed the game of Women’s Wrestling.

Chyna was born Joan Marie Laurer on December 27, 1969 in Rochester , New York to Joe and Janet Laurer. Her childhood was full of toxicity due to abuse from stepfathers. However, she also said that her father was an Alcoholic. To escape everything, she stated that her mother moved her and her siblings around several times. She also learned to play the Violin and Cello to escape her tragic life. However, she also said that she was sexually assaulted by a teacher and developed an eating disorder in high school. Thus, she began working out at 16 years old and finished school in Spain. She didn’t originally want to get into wrestling , she actually wanted to be an FBI Agent or a DEW Agent with her degree in Spanish Literature. She also joined the Peace Corps and was living in Guatemala during her time with them.

While living with her sister , she began a career as a fitness model and entered competitions surrounded by it. She usually finished last because of her size. She said that she was flipping through the TV one night and saw a wrestling program. She said that it inspired her to start training to wrestle. She was trained by Killer Kolwaski at his school in Malden , Massachusetts. Her first match took place in 1995. Her ring name when she first started was Joanie Lee. She was also booked by The Fabulous Moolah during her time on the Indie Circuit.

In 1996, Laurer got the opportunity to meet World Wrestling Federation stars , Shawn Michaels , and Hunter Hearst Helmsley ( HHH) , after attending a WWF show. She began studying them and soon, her big break came. Michaels and Helmsley took her under their wing and she became their bodyguard. Vince McMahon wasn’t a fan of her at first because he thought that the WWF fans wouldn’t find a female getting into the ring with a male would not be believable. Eric Bischoff and World Championship Wrestling were also after her as well. Bischoff wanted her to be the first female to join the New World Order ( nWo ). She took the offer but turned it down when she was hired by Vince McMahon after his son , Shane , told her that his father was going to sign her to his company. Laurer made her debut in 1997 under the name , Chyna , at In Your House 13 : Final Four. She was playing the part of a fan during the match between Goldust and Hunter Hearst Helmsley . During the match, she got up from her seat and put Marlena , the wife and valet of Goldust , in a chokehold. She did something similar to her the next night on WWF RAW.

She was originally brought into the WWF as a bodyguard for Shawn Michaels and Triple H, nevertheless , she would help them win by giving their opponents a low blow. This meant she got involved in the matches by helping her guys cheat. The three of them became known as D-Generation X ( DX ). Michaels and Triple H were the founders of the faction by starting out as a tag team. Chyna would soon make history with the promotion.

In 1999, Chyna became the first woman to compete in the Royal Rumble by entering at number 30. She would also become the first woman to win the Intercontinental Championship twice. She beat Jeff Jarrett in a Good Housekeeping match to win the title and make history. She would also compete in the King Of The Ring tournament. She would have storylines with other wrestlers such as Mark Henry and Eddie Guerrero during this time too. She would also gain a Valet in Miss Kitty as well. Chyna’s last match in the WWF would be against Lita. She left the company in 2001 and debuted in New Japan Pro Wrestling ( NJPW) in 2002. Her final stint in professional wrestling would be in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling ( TNA) in 2011.

Outside of the ring, she would pose for Playboy twice. She posed for Hugh Hefner’s magazine once in 2000 and then again in 2002. She would also film a documentary for Playboy about her second photo shoot for them. She would also write her Autobiography, ‘ If They Only Knew ’, in 2001. This would make her a bestselling author by the book being on The New York Times’ Bestseller list. She would also appear on the show , 3rd Rock From The Sun, playing a police officer. She would also appear in Stacker 2 commercials and be a presenter for MTV at the Video Music Awards ( VMAs ) . She also appeared on the Howard Stern Show. Chyna also appeared on Fear Factor , Celebrity Deathmatch, and Gary & Mike. She also hosted the show , Robot Wars: Grand Champions in 2002, and appeared on Hollywood Squares the following year. She would also star in the music video for the band , Sevendust’s , song , Enemy. She would also be on Reality TV in 2005 on The Surreal Life. She would star in the spin off game show for the main one in 2007. She would also go on to be in the Adult Entertainment industry as well.

While filming The Surreal Life , Chyna would have arguments with then boyfriend and tag team partner in DX , Sean ‘ X- PAC ’, Waltman. In 2007, she made an appearance on Larry King Live to remember her friend , Anna Nicole Smith , who passed away that year. One of Anna Nicole’s representatives stated that Chyna and Anna were never friends. Chyna was also struggling with her own addictions and mental health. Chyna made an appearance on Celebrity Rehab with Dr.Drew in 2008 to try and make herself better.

Chyna moved to Japan in 2012 to become an English teacher. She taught English classes until 2015 when she moved back to the United States and lived in California.

Chyna passed away at the age of 46 on April 20, 2016. Her brain was donated to science as a part of CTE research. She was remembered by her colleagues and other wrestlers as a pioneer for women’s wrestling.

In 2019, Chyna was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of DX. She also had two documentaries made about her after her death. One in 2017 and one in 2021.

Women’s wrestlers of today and past have stated that Chyna was their inspiration to step in the ring. WWE Superstars such as Raquel Rodriguez , Tiffany Stratton , Current Women’s Tag Team Champion , Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley have credited her as an inspiration for them. WWE Hall of Famer, Beth Phoenix , has also credited her. Former AEW star and Current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Jade Cargill, also credits her. Former WWE star and current AEW star, Saraya ( FKA Paige ), was also inspired by her. Rhea Ripley and Saraya have both worn Chyna inspired tribute gear during their matches .

Chyna’s fans are currently wanting a solo WWE Hall of Fame induction for her. She is the definition of a trailblazer for wrestling and all the women who want to be in the business.

My Final Thoughts:

Chyna is one of my all time favorite wrestlers. When I was managing, I hope that I made her proud because she inspired me to get into the business and try managing. Looking at Chyna , I realized that I can do anything. There will never be another Chyna. Chyna was and will always be one of a kind and The Ninth Wonder of The World. She showed girls what it’s cool to do what the boys do. She was beautiful and strong.

I can't believe Alison & Mike are selling the land to a golf club. Booooooo. Though I did love Mike having a chocolate biscuit in his pocket. I'm not a fan of Wagon Wheel's myself, but give me a Tunnock's Caramel, or any of Fox's biscuits and we can be co-landowners anyday. Also, everyone sharing the braincell this ep to help solve the case. Ghost Detective Agency spin off when? They should've let Spider!Kitty do a montage scene of trying to shoot web like in the first Tobey one.

I voted for AMATEOTW because obviously I was going to be in love with Darby's short pink hair. But I was not prepared for the deeper register of her voice at times. And then Alice Braga shows up. It's just too much for my little bi heart to handle right now. Also, first ep theory, the way Joan Chen (character's name icr) looked at Darby when she mentioned Lee Anderson. Is that because Joan is the real Lee Anderson, Lee being her family name in Chinese maybe??

If You Would - Day 10

God I owe this entire chapter to Em. I was at an absolute loss of what to do for today's prompt but Em swooped in and saved me. Their idea was "Joan or Sherlock re-evaluating their time together and finding patterns that suggest that they’re In Love™" and it was too brilliant not to use

Day 10- Pattern

The first thing that comes to Sherlock's mind is he feels like he's sinking. The panic that grips someone when the ground beneath them is beginning to give, no pulling you beneath. Its truly the only thing that feels like an apt description in this moment.

He blames Kitty. He'd gotten a call from her expecting usual banter and a sarcastic remark or two. What he got was anything but. She'd confessed to him that she was worried that she might be in love with this girl she met from Archie's school. She'd given him a list of ways she knows and it has haunted him ever since.

Not because he's disapproving of her relationship. Rather, a lot of the reasons she shared were behaviors he's been noticing between Watson and himself.

Its what lead him here, standing in the doorway of the bathroom with his heart in his throat. Watson stands in front of the mirror twisting her dark locks into an updo when she spots him.

'I just can't take my eyes off her.' Kitty's words spring to his mind echoing and getting louder. He almost misses Watson's words.

"I'll be ready in ten minutes then we can leave."

'Even when she's doing absolutely nothing it feels like a punch to the chest.' He's not sure exactly why he's here. To test what she said? See if it rang true?

"Sherlock?"

'God I've gotten myself into one hell of a mess, haven't I?' Truly. He's about to do the same.

Watson turns towards him and he makes his move. One step and he's close enough that he can feel the heat radiate off of her. They stand in silence for a few seconds. He gives her plenty of time to push him away and yet, she doesn't.

"Sherlock?" His name spills from her lips again but none of the annoyance from the prior laces her tone. Confusion, anxiety, and dare he say hope take its place.

His hand comes to rest on her jaw pulling him to her. His lips connect with hers and the sinking feeling dissipates. Her own hands settle on his chest but they do not push away. He feels a rush down his spine as she grows bolder deepening the kiss. She tastes of the coffee and blueberries she'd had for breakfast. He can't help but gather as many details as possible.

She pulls away first, in need of air. He finds himself at a loss if she asks him to explain. Rather he swipes his thumb across her cheek taking in the details one last time before he releases her. "Ten minutes." He steps out of the bathroom and she doesn't follow.

He doesn't even explain himself the second time he kisses her, or the third, or any time after that. After all, this is all Kitty's fault.
