Found this beautiful necklace on Etsy and couldn't help myself...
... I also got the White gem (Diamond version) and Silver-Ruby gem (Whiterose version) alternatives. I only wear those on special occasions, though.

I totally don't have an ever-increasing RWBY themed jewlery hoard

Hello! What astrological placements indicate someone is androgynous?
Hi!! Okay, so I got excited when I saw your ask 🤭I love this question, and it doesn’t get asked enough. I've looked into this quite a bit while trying to pin down my own look and style. Androgyny in astrology is layered. It’s not usually one placement that gives someone that appearance. It's more of a combination of planetary energies that blend or blur the traditional “masc/femme” divides.
Here’s what I've seen show up in the charts of people who are perceived as androgynous or come across as gender-fluid/non-conforming in some way:
Indicators of Androgeny in Astrology
🔌 Uranus and Aquarius placements 》
Uranus that “I’m not like the other girls/boys/genders” planet, so if someone has a strong Uranus (especially aspecting personal planets) or heavy Aquarius energy, they come across as unique and hard to label. Aquarius rising, Sun, Moon, or Venus especially.
🧠 Mercury or Gemini dominance 》
Mercury is considered gender-neutral, and Gemini is all about versatility and fluidity. This is shapeshifter energy. People with strong Mercury signatures (like Gemini rising, Mercury on the Ascendant, Mercury-Venus conjunctions) can come across as mentally and aesthetically fluid.
🌙 Moon-Uranus aspects or Moon in Aquarius 》
These folks often feel emotionally safe when they’re allowed to simply not conform. Androgyny can be a comfort zone for them, not just a look.
🌫️ Neptune / Pisces placements 》
Pisces rising, Neptune on the Ascendant, or a 12th house stellium? They give off ethereal, dreamlike, “what are you?” energies. It’s not even intentional. They’re perceived in this kind of mythic, floaty way that transcends binary presentation.
🎭 Ascendant matters too
Gemini, Pisces, Aquarius, Libra, and sometimes Scorpio risings often seem androgynous. It depends on aspects. Like a Libra rising with Neptune trine Asc might look soft and ambiguous, while a Gemini rising with Mars on the Asc might seem sharper and ambiguous in a different way.
⚖️ A balance between “masculine” and “feminine” placements
Like someone who has Mars and Venus equally prominent, or their chart is split between yin and yang signs/planets. You end up with this really cool blend of softness and strength, or elegance and edge.
It’s less about one thing and more about the energy mix. The whole chart needs to support that blended, fluid, ambiguous energy, otherwise you might just have someone dressing in styles associate with other genders but still giving off a specifically gendered vibe despite that. I've seen this with Rihanna. She has had moments of dressing in masculine styles, but I don't think Rihanna has ever looked androgynous a day in her life. Ruby Rose on the other hand.... 😏
Hope this was what you were looking for! 🌼

Dionysos, god whose arrival is swift and certain, enduring friend of women and men whose welcome is warm, bringer of light, we see you in shadows. Dionysos, granter of great blessings, your presence is a heady wine. Kind-hearted god, to each you give as is fitting, each vessel you fill only as we can bear, and yet with even a sip, we are drunk upon you, and our faith is affirmed. Awesome god, by our own will we drink deeply, with you we become lost, we wander, we are found.
Litany to Dionysos
Dionysos of the vine, rich-tressed god of wine, potent and lusty, unmixed, undiluted, with full force you come to us, vital and robust, rich and strong and surprisingly sweet. Dionysos, I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Ivy-bearing Dionysos, god of the green, of the power of root on stone, the force of life that will make its own way in spite of all who labor to hold it back, no will or work can bind your might. I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Dionysos of the deep earth, of the dark world, of the unknown expanse beneath the black soil, beneath solid stone, of mysteries you know much, of death and of what lies beyond. God of secrets, I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Dionysos the inspiring, granter of words of prose or poesy, words heard best by the drunken and the mad, words forgotten with the passing of night and delight. Bacchus, granter of rare transport, I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Dionysos Soter, holder of the hearts of men, you free us from the cares of the world, each brilliant frenzied moment a shining jewel, each glimpse of the sacred more precious than gold. I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Kindly Dionysos, granter of good to men and women, giver of gifts to all who seek your blessing. Gracious Dionysos, accepter of offerings great and small, friend of mankind, I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings.
Regular Prayer to Dionysos
Dionysos, deep-hearted one who knows the souls of men and women, whose hand is ever open, ever within reach. Dionysos, god who runs in the dark, who sees with eyes shut tight, who dances to the heart’s strong beat, ever are you yourself, ever constant, ever changing god of those who are trapped, those who seek your truth and their own, those who seek vision beyond seeing, those who seek wisdom beyond knowledge, those who seek the self, pure and sweet, those who seek clarity beyond definition, who seek to embrace the uncertain, to hold, but loosely, to what is true beyond trust.
Regular prayer to Dionysos
I praise Dionysos, lord of the vine, lord of the far reaches of the mind; in the thick of the woods, along darkened paths, in the shadows of dusk and of dawn, you roam the world, the satyrs and the pretty nymphs dancing in your wake. Son of Zeus and fair-haired Semele, bold-hearted Semele, who dared to look into the face of glory, beautiful Semele who you carried into life again, Semele reborn who men called Thyone; beloved of clever Ariadne, quick-witted one, so dear to your heart, your bright-eyed bride and consort; Dionysos, friend of women, friend of the blissful, wild-eyed maenads, pilgrims and pioneers, those who seek, your cheer and inspiration, those who seek your release, from sorrow and despair, those who are lost in joy, and those who have found themselves in you. Dionysos, god of the darkest dark and the deepest deep, boundless one, endless one, fathomless one, in you we see the edges of ourselves, in you, we find our life’s journey, in you we find our home.
To Dionysos
I call to Dionysos, great god of the vine, son of thundering Zeus and headstrong Semele, loving husband of warm-hearted Ariadne. From the east you came, old before the ancients, throughout the elder world were you beloved; in Naxos and Boitia were you celebrated, in temples and in the savage wilderness, the fleet-footed maenads running in your wake. The sweetest, strongest wine is ever your drink; the mind’s release, the body’s loosening, your gift. O Dionysos; thyrsus-shaker, ivy-crowned god, we see you in the shadows, we see you on the edges, we see you in the haze of ecstasy, where we know the truth of passion, where we find the essence of our being. Bacchus, I call to you!

vent am I in the wrong @goodolddumbbanana @catspawcreates @multifandomcutie13 @lednet-sorrow-au-blog @ikamigami @sillyzone1209 @weirdcoregal35 @dolce-cerise @theinfamousmaybelle @llamaisllama777 @sass-ruby
Ok guys look as you all know I am on the spectrum. And well she has a very or at least had a strange way of handling it. Any time I started to pacing she always told me to stop and it really frustrated me as it was a part of who I am and when she eventually found out she got redeemed upset and said in tears that she loved every part of me. Now while that may sound sweet just a few minutes later my sister said she wanted to tell my parents something and she then came out as non-binary to them and you what her response was that it was stupid as how it doesn't make any sense. That's basically what I remember. And they always say that there from a different time then us but still doesn't excuse something like that. I also remember I time were something similar happened and she was in tears and my mom just brushed it off....like it wasn't a big deal. And how it this a problem...... Well I am acesexual and I have said stuff that hinted that I don't like or want to have sex with someone and almost all the time my mom just says "oh your young" or "oh yeah now but it could change" and yeah she is right some people sexualitys do change but she just viewed it as just some phase to me. But the big clencher was when I was going to the heart doctor with my aunt and my mom and aunt started to talk about how or neighbor quit his job cause it didn't support woke stuff and my mom and my aunt were upset about it and even said that they didn't want LGBT+ stuff shoved down there throat. I ended up fighting back tears as I know it would case a scene. And they then said they wanted to Change the color of my room but when I said I didn't want to as it was my room my aunt said "it's her house" and my mom laughed and agreed with her. My love for my mother has died since then as I don't trust her anymore. I confined in my sister about this as she is the only one I trust as my mother just blindly defense her for everything and doesn't stand up for us with the things I mentioned. My sister is the only one that is honest with me and I trust. I always thought what my mother is doing is abuse but after a recent talk with my sister it's not I felt bad for thinking that badly about her in that light cause dispute everything I still do care about her. My sister said that I am not In the wrong and is should talk to people I know online and that they will validate me and that is what I am doing now. Am I in the wrong for thinking my mom is abusive for things she has done that I have.listed. be completely honest with me please take any positive rose tinted glasses and just be honest with me please.
#Vent#am i in the wrong#personal vent#Tw mention of homophobia#Don't just say I'm a good person blindly cause im not#I feel extremely bad for viewing her like this#I know they adore me#They practically spoil me#That's part of the reason I feel so bad about this

Okay, I don't want to give airtime to assholes, but let's unpack this a little.
On the left, for the sexy way things used to be, we have:
Concept art for a Qunari woman, which was shown next to a Qunari guy wearing about as little. This didn't look like how Qunari looked in DAO! Also, this isn't actually a character! I understand that the guys making this video would prefer that women be objects of their desire rather than actual people in any capacity, but this was just an example piece!
Art for Morrigan looking like Little Red Riding Hood -- again, not actually how she looked in the game.
Leliana with a ridiculous glow-up because this is how she looked in the Urn of Sacred Ashes trailer, not in the actual game.
Isabela, okay, you got me, this one is actually an in-game asset, except that no, do not cite the DA2 ladies to me, witch. I was there when they were written. I am old enough to remember when DA2 shipped, and the spiritual ancestors of this asshole posted comments on messageboards saying that DA2 had no attractive romanceable women, because Bethany was your sister, Merrill had elven features, and Isabela was, according to these sad incels, "too exotic." I remember this because I remember saying, "If the dirty-talking sexually liberated rogue with sun-kissed skin and a lip piercing who runs around with no pants is not up to your standards, your standards are bad."
Meanwhile, on the right, for the apparent current non-sexiness, we have:
Morrigan, who a) looks great, to the point where some people are saying she should look older (not me -- give Morrigan the Cate Blanchett/Rachel Weisz "inexplicably hotter as she gets older" treatment, you go, girl); b) isn't a romance option this time; and c) is actually an in-game asset, unlike Little Red Concept Art over on the left.
Neve, using concept art that was meant to show the costume and not the attitude. Because when you see Neve in game sashaying up to you after freezing bad guys, she looks great, and when I saw the bit of her in the lighthouse with her scarf untied and her blouse unbuttoned, I legitimately forgot what the conversation was about. (And perish angry, ableist haters. People with prostheses get to be sexy, too.)
Taash, looking great. We still don't know what's going on with the whole gender deal there, but as someone who was lucky enough to take one random college elective course the same quarter that half of the varsity women's volleyball team decided to do so, if your spectrum for finding a woman hot does not include women who are tall and have muscles, then that's a you problem, not a them problem.
One random chargen Qunari, which, whatever.
Notes about people being trans, which, as with the ableism, perish angry. Trans women are women. And if Taash ends up being non-binary or some other non-cis-woman option, and that is what turns you off and not the muscles, then again, that's a you problem, not a them problem, and those of us who can like boobs even when they're on someone who isn't a cis woman will be over here with Ruby Rose and Demi Lovato.
Oddly not present on the horribly unsexy right:
Bellara, who is adorkable and also giving Neve a run for her money at "most distracting collarbones in the Lighthouse."
Harding, whose smile lights up the room in the scenes we've seen so far and who was called out by fans as someone they wanted back as a romance option after people saw her in DAI, which was before her glow-up.
Like, I understand that the ideal right thing to do is to tell these jerks that the companions of Veilguard are deep and fully realized characters, and judging them just based on which ones you wanna bang is asshole behavior... but this is a Dragon Age game. It is, as the devs once joked, a dating sim with a small "save the world" minigame you do between scenes. And by those standards, the women of Veilguard (either including Taash, or and also Taash, depending on how that goes) look fantastic. I don't know who I'm gonna romance yet, because I fall for a character more while I'm doing quests with them and getting to know them, but this is a squad with many flavors of gorgeous. Sorry it has character art that includes, you know, character and not the creepy sex doll look of one of those Steam games that includes disclaimers about everyone being of legal age and none of the girls being actually related to you.
It's not a them problem, assholes. It's a you problem.

This is where I got it from
yeah i’m sticking with my original guess of McMillen having that same loose understanding of gender fluidity that lots of celebrities had in the 2010s. like remember how Ruby Rose described herself as sort of gender fluid and we’ve had people calling her non-binary for years even though she pretty consistently refers to herself as if she’s a woman (like & has referred to herself as like growing out of wanting to change her gender etc) who just prefers to shift her presentation up a lot
like, this isn’t even a necessarily incorrect usage of the word genderfluid, but i would be willing to bet money that McMillen interpreted this ask as “would you describe Isaac’s gender presentation as fluid & relevant to his character” rather than “does Isaac canonically identify with the specific non-binary microlabel genderfluid”

I have a lot of feelings about the Doctor Who finale including personal ones so I'm not sure how coherent this will be.
I feel like the fact that Ruby showed Conrad mercy with her wish is what doomed the narrative. That men like him can exist and be happy damns the rest of us by their presence and acceptance and influence in society. Even if they're just working in a kitchen. Maybe an allegory for white supremacy? Ruby has to be nice to the power-mad dude bro who's waving a gun around to save the magical white baby (Joe Sunday welcome to the shitshow that is life). The Rani of course represented a form of supremacy as well, but as she was not white she was devoured by the primal manifestation of supremacy and her white counterpart escaped and survived. When the mythology breaks down white people snatch the technology to maintain their power - hmm. 🤔 Also luckily we have some black women available to dump the care and feeding of this now useless no longer magic white baby.
I did notice that Rose reappeared and then disappeared again. A comment on trans and non-binary people's presence in society being politicized and erased, sure. Or society's hostility to vegans. 😒
Belinda's agency is destroyed. Her life is re-written to include a child she never had. That Poppy is extremely, extremely adorable doesn't change the fact that the Belinda we were introduced to had never expressed interest in having children as far as I can remember. She'd had an abusive ex. She was sharing a house with roommates. She's now been retconned as having an ex who's a good guy supposedly. If only you find a good guy you'll want babies, ladies! The Belinda we met at the beginning was mostly focused on her job where she literally saved lives and her parents whom she loved. That was not enough for her to desperately want to go home for. No. She needed a child.
(It's okay to not want children. It's also okay to be infertile and sad about it. And it's okay to be infertile and indifferent or happy about it. You don't have to have children or a romantic partner to be a whole ass person. It's fine to want these things genuinely obviously but it's NOT COMPULSORY.)
For me, the Doctor is a fundamentally asexual character. It's fine if different incarnations have different orientations. I'm not mad about 13, 14, and 15 being pretty gay. I'm not mad about 11 and 12 being pretty heterosexual. Sexuality and gender can be fluid, bisexuality and pansexuality exist. But I do always perceive or project this deeper core nature of asexual-ness onto the Doctor. Which is why she couldn't quite return Yaz's feelings. Which is why Rogue is still in superhell with Castiel or whatever. Which is why Ten created Ten-too for Rose. Which is why River ... nevermind, not unpacking that one today.
Anyway, I don't have some grandiose conclusion. Just a lot of feelings about how everything was surface level because nobody was permitted to fully be their authentic selves or given the time to express who they are. The doctor was a hostage who then took hostages of his own. Is that found family? Is that all life is? Warping each other with our desires? Welcome to the Hotel California. And how do you be your authentic self in a universe where nothing makes sense and who knows what's really real?

Weekly Tag Wednesday
Swing yo hair back and forth edition 💇🏻♀️
Thank you @deedala and @jrooc for the tags. <3
what is your current hair like? well this is timely...i just got a haircut yesterday for the first time in 3 years (wish i was kidding). i went from ratty damaged mess hanging below my boobs to fresh lesser damaged mess at my shoulders. and bangs, always.
what is your natural hair like? pretty much what it is atm now that most of the dyed bits have been cut off. kinda mousey brown. mostly straight but gets crimped easily. i mourn the blonde i had as a child. 🥲
what’s you favourite hair style/colour you’ve had? i had a platinum blonde faux hawk that then transitioned into a black faux hawk that then transitioned into a red faux hawk and so on and so on. my favourite was probably the black with blonde bangs. (nb: i could never pull this off anymore.)
what hair style/colour do you find most attractive on other people? ok this is going to sound weird given my last answer lol. but i love girls and non-binary folks with short, even partially buzzed hair (think ruby rose or 2008-09 rihanna or like...keira knightley in domino). i also hate myself for admitting this, but i tend to give guys with a man bun a second look. also ian's s4 undercut—don't at me. ✋🏻
what’s your biggest hair regret? never learning how to properly style it or like...use a hairdryer or curler or anything.
what’s the longest your hair has ever been? i usually let it get to the underboob region and then absolutely have to cut it or else go insane. hence yesterday's cut. we were entering the danger cuckoo zone every time i tried to put it up.
what’s the shortest your hair has ever been? the buzzed on the side faux hawk years.
what’s your go to style when you’re due a hair wash? high knot + hairband to keep the grease factory (bangs) out of my eyes.
help i'm daydreaming about ruby rose now.
please play along if you'd like you beautiful people in my phone

Ohi there!
I made this u/n forever ago so ill probably keep it no matter the answer to this, but I've always wondered if it should be 'chic@ con pelo rosado'? Or maybe better 'de pelo rosa(do)'? It just feels... awkward to me, but I can't place my finger on it.
I know there are words for the 'hairèdness' of someone (e.g. moren@, rubi@, etc.), for lack of a better term, but since it's not a natural color (on hair or in general), I'm not sure how that would work. I've always wondered how accurate it was lmao
(Also side note, which article do you use for gender neutral lmao is it 'l@'?)
First, it could be either
chico con pelo rosa / rosado is "boy with pink hair"; and chico de pelo rosa / rosado is "the pink-haired boy"
Both are acceptable, but the de kind of makes you think of using a hyphen
Note: You may also see el cabello used for "hair" when it's specifically hair on the head
But you're right that there are certain words for hair colors:
rubio/a = blond
pelirrojo/a = red-head, "ginger"
moreno/a = dark-haired / brunette de/con cabello/pelo castaño = brown-haired
de/con pelo/cabello caoba = auburn-haired
cano/a = white-haired, gray-haired [as opposed to pelo cano or pelo blanco / gris]
de/con pelo/cabello negro = black-haired pelinegro = black-haired [less common still used sometimes]
This also applies to hair texture/length... corto/a "short", largo/a "long", liso/a "smooth/straight (hair)", rizado/a "curly/wavy", and calvo/a "bald"
-
Two options for gender neutral - the @ makes the most sense in writing when you're including everyone not specifically talking about a particular person like tod@s is "everyone (male and female)", or el/la chic@ maybe
The way a company might do it is to include both: un/una alumno/a "a student" for example, or se busca un/una empleado/a "looking for an employee"
The other way a company or someone official might do it is to include both options; damas y caballeros "ladies and gentlemen" or todos y todas "everyone"
-
Less official but still used especially by the younger generation and for times when you are really talking about one person in particular: the general idea for gender neutral is the use of -e
So it would be le chique "the young person" gender neutral
For non-binary groups, it would probably be les chiques or saying todes "everyone". I would tend to assume it works like feminine does that nosotras "we" is for only women in the group, nosotros is either a mixed group or all men... so nosotres would be like everyone NB, but in a mixed group I would expect to see nosotros
And so it would be rubie, pelirroje, morene, cane etc.
But be really careful because depending on where you're saying/using it, it might not be regarded as correct or you might be mistaken for using French or Italian
The "default" way to talk about someone non-binary or gender neutral is either to assume masculine until proven otherwise, or to use gender neutral language that's a bit impersonal... such as la persona que tiene (el) pelo/cabello negro "the person that has black hair", or alguien con (el) pelo/cabello azul "someone with blue hair"
-
Side Note just in case you were confused rosa can be used as "pink", rosado/a is more explicitly the adjective form "pink" or "rosy". They are both correct as adjectives, just that rosa doesn't change for gender so it could confuse some people
I know in my textbooks for colors they wrote anaranjado/a "orange" [lit. "orange-y"] instead of naranja "orange", and they wrote rosado/a "pink" instead of rosa
When using an actual noun as an adjective, they don't change gender; so la rosa is "rose", el rosa is "the color pink", rosa is just pink
You can also see this with caoba "mahogany" or "auburn", plata "silver" [as opposed to plateado/a], oro "gold" [instead of dorado/a "golden"], bronce "bronze" [instead of bronceado/a "bronzed / tanned"]
And some other words like márfil "ivory", ébano "ebony", castaño "brown/chestnut", café or color café "coffee colored" aka "brown", or something like lila "light purple" and turquesa "turquoise"
All colors are masculine when talking about them; all colors taken from nouns will not change as adjectives - la camisa turquesa "turquoise shirt" vs. el abrigo turquesa "turquoise coat" for example... And la turquesa means "turquoise" often the gemstone, and el turquesa means "the color turquoise"
