Let's clarify:

Afab non-binary person: A non-binary person who was assigned the female gender at birth. Afab: Assigned female at birth.

Amab non-binary person: A non-binary person who was assigned the male gender at birth. Amab: Assigned male at birth.

And no, afab non-binary people don't identify as non-binary because they are "misogynistic" or because they want to "escape patriarchy" because unfortunately patriarchy will always see them as women even if they are not. Also, there are afab non-binary people who are feminists.

The non-binary umbrella encompasses several genders, including, for example, genderfluid people. The non-binary umbrella is itself a part of the trans umbrella.

Hey I decided to make a social Discord server for trans-umbrella folk who are also aspec. Most of the trans servers I’ve run into have an implicit assumption that members are allo and it made me feel kind of unwelcome or like I was being pushed out of conversations I was already participating in, but the aspec servers I’ve tried joining were mostly comprised of cis people. She has almost nothing to do with the game. Nothing with story writing or production.

I and a large number of people who are part of the Italian Feminist Twitter have repeatedly had problems with this woman.

She says she stands up for trans people but, as you've read, she believes she has the right to decide who is truly trans and who isn't, and she uses the fact that she "has trans friends" as an excuse to do so.

Moreover, by saying that gender is only a social construct when I was talking about gender identity, she invalidated the existence of her "trans friends".

If there was an award for Queen of Hypocrisy this woman would win it hands down.

Oh and for the record, this woman is a CISGENDER woman, so this whole thing is even more serious.

It's because of people like her that many people don't trust radical feminists. I'm not a radical feminist, but I've been lucky enough to meet radical feminists who, in addition to being good people, are trans-inclusive and would NEVER invalidate anyone.

I am a cis woman, but anyone who knows me knows that I have always listened to trans people, and I mean ALL trans people. I've searched for information on this topic and therefore I can't help but feel disgust for people like Jay.

Transmascs who have trauma around our puberties, especially around the development of bodies with high estrogen, are valid.

Transmascs who desire masculinization and testosterone are valid.

Testosterone is not evil, Estrogen is not holy; they're hormones that we all have differing relationships with on an individual basis.

Dear transmascs,

I love y'all, I appreciate your posts and find solidarity in your struggles. But please, PLEASE could you acknowledge that some (many) trans people who don't identify as transmasc share in the same struggles? Please could you acknowledge non-transmasc (afab) non-binary/genderqueer people in your posts that also affect them once in a while? Could you please NOT co-opt the death of a NON-BINARY trans person to talk about how transmascs are oppressed for being transmasculine? Like, yes, there are overlaps between transandrophobia and enbyphobia (and transmisogyny) and these are important to talk about but please realise that you can do this WITHOUT erasing non-binary people who do not identify as transmasc.

Idk maybe this seems like a non-issue to a lot of people but it's honestly deeply fucking upsetting to me, as an (afab) genderqueer person. I'm not saying you have to make all posts about transmasc people about non-binary people as well but please just. When something is ABOUT a non-binary person and that person doesn't explicitly identify as transmasc, please, please don't erase their identity and make it ONLY about the experience of being transmasc??
