One thing I've noticed about the erasure of aspec identities is that it's eerily familiar to the erasure of non-binary identities. Often times Aspec identities are viewed as Blank slates to slap other identities on top of - similar to non-binary identities.

A character uses strictly they/them and people will say "Okay but I'm going to use he/him or she/her because x looks like a boy/girl to me" A character strictly states they are not interested in romance and people will say "okay but I'm going to call them a lesbian/gay/any other sexuality because obviously they must be interested in x even though they said they weren't interested at all."

"I can ignore this characters canonical non-binary identity because people can headcanon whatever they want and I headcanon them as cis instead! no this isn't erasure!!! it's fiction it doesn't hurt anyone! pronouns don't equal gender anyways!!!"

Okay I'm feeling grumpy today... You know that in this house we love LOST and we out some respect on its name but... "He's our You" is just a bad episode that's there simply to remind us (in case we forgot) that this is a white people show.

Like, yeah, sure let's fucking RECYCLE a whole backstory from another character (Mr. Eko)... yeah, this time will ALSO be about a core event from a non-white character's childhood... yeah, let's use this event to emote people because, you see, these poor, poor non-white children living in "third-world", "uncivilized", barbarian countries where violence is law! There they make children do violent things to "prove" their masculinity and this, AND ONLY THIS, causes them irreparable psychological damage! yeah, let's use this memory to parallel this non-white character's story to the villain white character who lives in a "civilized" society and wants to escape from it and go into the fucking jungle to live with the "Hostiles" because his father is abusive! See? It's just the same thing! We don't care about socio-economic aspects or politics or racism because we can parallel and mirror all characters' trauma thanks to the power of the abuse of drunken white old men!!! Fathers are always bad all over the world, throughout all ages, isn't this such an amazing writing cop-out?

Meanwhile me: naaaah, I stand with my controversial torturer and serial killer, I'm fine with that, I don't need your racist sob story, thanks.

Like, come on!!! Don't do my man Sayid SOOOO dirty!!! Give us some fucking credit, ffs! We know this man has been tormented by his past and his actions since season ONE! We don't NEED the fucking racist sob story to remember that!

I hate this episode, these two writers can't write Sayid for shit and I hate this episode.

So in between commissions and sims I love a good craft project. I love sparkling water and Bubly is my favorite flavored sparkling water but Saratoga is my favorite plain sparkling water. I use the purple Bubly cans for my brushes and pencils. I can just take a can opener and take off the top. But I have a garage full of these beautiful blue glass bottles. I just can’t seem to part with them, but then I saw a crafter on TikyToky cutting wine bottles with a glass cutter. So I bought one. I think I am going to get some glass paint and paint sunflowers on them. I think that would compliment the blue nicely. I have about 24 of these bottles in the garage lol. I’m thinking of cutting them taller and using them for fresh flowers for Mother’s Day. Acetone should hopefully take off the logo, even though I love it some may prefer them plain.

I was gonna continue one or another of my sketchbook scribbly tobiruka comics. But.

EDIT found it in the shipping box of the fantasy zine, where I temp tidied away everything I had used when trying my new art supplies. 'I'll just tidy up real quick to make presentable room' way too often leads to time-consuming having 0 clue where stuff was put later on <.> It ain't worth it. Ppl visiting for casual time can damn well deal with the piles of 'I know where it is when it's all over my space and I haven't really got a quick space for it where I'll actually know for later'.

Brain.

Try to remeber that ppl gotta conform when they visit your house culture, they only there for minutes to some hours, u gotta live for days and weeks and months and years on end and not spend an hour or two a day to try find things again x'D

(If they complain, especially relatives, the day I learned to say yeah no, if it makes it so uncomfortable to visit my home u rather complain or comment on it than spend that time with me and whatever housemates I got, then maybe for my sake and for your own mental health that clearly can't handle it u shouldn't step by.

Once the clean-shaming lessened, and I felt less anxiety over my messes. I. Actually had more time caring for my home instead of lamenting my householding skills. It wasn't as daunting. After a while I even was able to (within clear limits don't ducking touch my piles!! That has grown fewer over the years, too) accept help, from those who had unlearned their pattern of _ducking commenting on my home at every thing they came across while helping_.

Stop the household skill shaming! It just makes it worse! Shaming doesn't help overwhelmed people! I learn that from a psychology radio program where a group who specialisred in ppl unable to keep up with their home and hoarders, and encouraged u to set boundaries and realise how RUDE it is to comment on ppls homes, and anyone out there wanting to help messy home frienda and family to stop commenting if u actually had good intentions.

I'm trying to start a non-profit that collects disposable plastic shopping bags and crochets/weaves them into sleeping mats for the homeless. I am creating a name for it so I can start working on getting donations, volunteers, and collaborators to distribute them. This entry is apparently a movie from Italy (where they have a serious trash problem) about abandoning trash, recycling, etcetra (used methaphorically for the storyline); an ecological moral.

I'm definitely not a "climate change warrior" (at least not in the hysterical way some folks are), but I'm all for no trashing streets and recycling. Definitely a message I can get behind!
